Chapter 17


    Sahil''s POV


    It was the day of Sagar''s engagement.  Sagar had invited all his friends. They all came to Chandigarh


    one day earlier.


    They all were happy to see me after so long. Though we were not best friends still we all were friends.


    We all were enjoying a lot and kept pulling Sagar''s legs.


    l told them how crazy and possessive Sagar was for Damini and how we switched our ces many


    times. I even told them that Damini poured cold water on me and threw things at me. They all were


    Just then Swati and Manu came to call us all for the dinner. Swati told me that I was needed


    downstairs.  So I  went there.


    We all enjoyed the dinner and then Sagar called Damini but I snatched the phone from him and started


    talking to her as Sagar. While Mehul and Rahul held him tightly and shut his mouth by cing his hand


    on it tightly.


    I put the phone on speaker.


    " So... What were you doing beautiful?? Were you missing me? " I said to her.


    " No... Not at all... Why would I miss you? "


    " But I am missing you so much... "


    " Oh please ... Don''t bore me... Samar and I are watching such an interesting movie. "


    " What?? Now Samar is more important than me?? Means you prefer watching a movie than talking to


    me...your Sagar?? " I said trying to tease Sagar and trying even harder not tough.


    " Of course Sahil... Watching a movie is more important to me when I know that you are trying to act


    like Sagar to tease him. Give the phone back to Sagar and turn off the speakerphone." She said


    She was really smart.


    " This is not fair..... How did you recognise that it was me not him?"


    " I have my ways.... "


    " No... Tell me. "


    " Well Sahil,  I love him for thest 10 years... Of course, I would recognise that it was not him the way


    you talked just now. I could sense the moment you spoke... The emotion was different. Then the


    endearment you used was different...  On top of that Sagar would have gone crazy just at the mention


    of me watching a movie with Samar and that I preferred doing that than talking to him ......Then there


    was a gap for a few seconds and then you switched on the speaker. Sagar would not do that...."


    " Smart... Know him well... Hnn? "


    " I think so.. now give the phone to him... "


    " Ok beautiful... Hats off to you. "


    " Thanks,  " she said and all his friends pped and hooted for her.


    " Now leave me alone... "  Sagar said to all of us but we shook our head.


    " Go away... Your wives are looking for you... "  He said but still we kept grinning.


    " Ok fine stay here.. " he said and got away from there and we allughed.


    He was talking so sweetly with her and we all were listening.


    " Good night...dream about me. I am missing you... Love you ...  bye." He said we allughed.. he


    turned to see all of us. We wereughing like fools.


    We all mimicked him it was so hrious. " I will kill all of you... Don''t you have anything else to do? " He


    said to us.


    " No we all are absolutely free and are here just to tease you and attend your engagement. " Vikram


    said. Everyone elseughed.


    " You know my brother is totally whipped. He slept on her couch and in the morning her parents came


    all of a sudden and were standing outside her door while he was snoring. I had to go and save both of


    them. " I told everyone.


    " He was totally whipped the moment he saw her.  I still remember all those funny and stupid things he


    did to get her attention. Don''t you remember him fighting with seniors over her... " Vikram said shaking


    his head.


    We all were making fun of him and he wasughing too.


    Manyata''s POV


    Sagar Ji and Damini had their engagement on the next day. But all his friends were here. We went to


    call them got dinner.


    " Manu??? " Someone said all of a sudden and I looked towards him.


    "  Vikram Bhai ?? " I said and gave a bright smile.


    " What are you doing here?? " he asked and hugged me. I looked at Sagar Ji as I was not sure, what


    should she say.


    " You know each other?? "


    " Of course, she is my cousin .... Did you not realise that we share the same surname and we both


    belong to Jodhpur? "


    " Oh yeah.. she is Swati''s friend. " I  smiled and nodded. Then we went downstairs but I heard Sagar Ji


    saying, " Vikram I need to talk to you... I need your help but I want you to be discreet about it."


    They both came downstairs after 15 minutes and it seemed that Vikram bhai''s eyes kept following Sahil


    and me.

    Next day we all got up early and got ready and reached the venue of engagement. Swati and I were


    very excited to meet Damini. Priya, Megha, and Sandhya had be our friendsst night and they


    also joined us. We all went to the room she was where she was getting ready.


    We knocked on the door. A girl opened the door. We all went in.


    " Oh god, you are looking awesome bhabhi... " Swati said with excitement.


    " Yes, Sagar Ji will lose his mind after looking at you. " Sandhya said.


    " You are looking so hot.. are you trying to give a shock to poor Sagar. Thank God Vikram is here... to


    take care of his friend in case of some emergency. " Megha said with a wink.


    " Rahul was saying that he did not even sleep a wink and was counting every minute till now. " Priya


    said with a smile. Everyoneughed.


    " You are beautiful Damini... Sagar Ji is already crazy about you. You both are very lucky. " I said


    She was blushing with thements. Just then Samar Ji knocked on the already opened door.


    " Hey, girls...someone is going crazy to have a glimpse of his fiance... Have mercy on him..e

    She got up, he smiled at her and said, " Come let me take you to him.. after all, you are officially my


    sister now. " He winked at her and she smiled at him.


    " Hey bhabhi, I wanted to take you there. " Swati said.


    " We both can take her there. " Samar Ji smiled at her and she nodded.


    We all went where Sagar Ji was waiting for her.


    She looked at him and smiled shyly. He ced his hand on his chest. His friends teased him a lot "


    Need help?? Are you alright? "


    " She looks better than she used to look at that time. " Sahil said and Sagar Ji hit him with an elbow.


    " She is your bhabhi... " He said to him.


    " I know that even before you realised that... So don''t worry.. she is my bhabhi since that day.. " he said


    and all of themughed. I smiled at that.


    Everyone was hooting and pping for them... Sagar Ji extended his hand towards her but Sahil


    caught her hand and said, " This is yourst chance... You can still choose me over him " Sahil winked


    at her.


    This man is crazy... Proposing his sister-inw in front of his brother and everyone else on the day of


    their engagement.


    " Samar.. can you bring a pot full of ice-cold water or piping hot coffee? I think he wants a repeat


    telecast of a certain action of mine. " She said smiling at Sahil. He looked petrified.


    " Sure... what you prefer Sahil? " Samar Ji asked Sahil with a smile.


    " No thanks... Bhabhi.. " he said and she smiled.


    He ced her hand in Sagar Ji''s hand.


    Idiot...


    Everyone was standing around them for the ceremony. Swati came with the rings. They exchanged the


    rings.


    Everyone congratted and hugged them. Their parents and rtives gave them


    blessings.
