Her eyes narrowed. She pped his handsome face.
He cursed due to shock. The moment he lifted his arm from her body, she got up from the bed only to
realize that she was only in her skimpy panty. She grabbed the sheet which was covering Nick''s body.
He sat up while massaging the cheek . It was a little red and he still looked a little disoriented.
"Honey! Why did you do that?" heined.
If she weren''t his woman, he would have thought her a lesson. No one else had pped him until now.
But she looked so f*cking sexy as she stood near the bed. Her hands were holding the edge of the
sheet to cover her delicious body. Her face had a heavy frown but it couldn''t hide the fact that she was
still very lovely . He knew she loved him so much too because he didn''t want him behind bars .He
stifled a smile.
She stepped back when Nick stood up and advanced towards her. "Don''t you daree near me!
Where the hell are we? What did you do to me?! You are insufferable! Damn you! "
She tried not to look at his bare torso. He at least had his briefs on. Most of the time, he just slept in the
nude. She had a feeling that he intended to seduce her.
Nick sighed. He ran his fingers through his hair. "You shouldn''t curse honey. You are in one of my
condos near Lucille''s. I haven''t done anything to you though I was really tempted. You know what effect
you have on me .I had to take off your clothes so you could sleepfortably." he said coolly.
Her face must be red from anger while he looked as cool as a cucumber.
"I told your mother that I want you to leave me alone! Why can''t you get it in your thick head that I don''t
want to see you ever again?!"
He extended his arm to her . " Honey, I am truly sorry. Please forgive me. Come here please. I can''t
think straight when you are far from me and you are so angry with me. Let''s talk. " he said with a plea.
"NO! You stay there! I will let you exin but don''t you dare move! " she said angrily.
He heaved a sigh. "Okay. But I can''t promise that I can control myself froming to you."
Her eyes squinted. "You arrogant beast! You don''t have the right to talk like that after what you did to
me! You will see the hellcat in me once you touch me! I will more than p you!" she threatened.
" Don''t make a habit of doing that honey. That would be the first andst time ." he said menacingly.
She ignored what he said and just raised a brow. "And how did I get here?"
"I called Eve. I begged her to tell me where you are. Your friend knows how much I love you. She
wanted us to settle things .She called Lucille and asked her where she hides her spare key. You were
sleeping like a baby when I carried you to my car."
"How could you do that to me? You made a fool out of me! You have been lying to me for a long time!"
she rasped.
With one more heavy sigh," I was really nning to tell you the truth tonight. Unfortunately, my mother
showed you my old room." His brows knitted.
"I don''t know if I will believe you! You are such a liar, a fox and a crook!"she yelled.
"Honey, please keep your voice down. The walls aren''t soundproof. The neighbors might hear us. I
don''t want them to think we are already bickering after we just got engaged." he said in a cool voice.
She gaped. "Why would they think that?" she asked angrily but with a low tone.
"Mr. Jones saw me carrying you and he was very kind. He pushed the elevator button for me and even
helped me open the door of the unit. I told him we came from our engagement party and you got drunk
so I had to carry you. He even became nostalgic because he said was reminded of his proposal to his
wife."
She was shocked and had the sudden desire to hit him again but instead,she reached for the first thing
that she saw on the floor. She picked up one of her red stilettos and angrily aimed it at him.
Nick cursed when he felt that his woman wanted to hurt him with one of her high-heeled shoes. He was
lucky he had quick reflexes because of martial arts training . He ducked his head quickly so the shoe
hit the wall.
"SHIT! Honey! That was close!" his voice was astounded. The footwear could have injured his face
badly if it hit him. He realized that Billy was right. He shouldn''t spite her.
"You got the nerve to say that to your neighbor!" She wanted to stomped her foot t in exasperation.
"But it''s true honey. I was nning to pop the question tonight! Wait!!" he said as he got his pants from
the sofa and took something from its pocket.
She felt her throat went dry when she saw a small red box. He opened it and showed her a beautiful
engagement ring.
Gosh! It''s true! He''s serious! She eximed to herself.
"I had it all nned honey. I was going to tell you the truth after the dinner at my parents'' because I
know what I did was really unfair. You know that I love you and I didn''t have any n of keeping it from
you longer. I wanted to confess everything after I proposed and you said yes to me. I was just waiting
for the right time honey. I don''t ever want to lose you. " he said while he looks at her lovingly.
" Why as Derick, you didn''t want me to see you?"
"Because I wanted you to love me for me. I realized that I was attracted to you when I first saw you. I
wanted you so much even before I kidnapped you. I wasfurious with you and jealous of the other men
who I thought were your lovers. But I regretted all that. I told you all that as Derick, remember? But I
was really relieved when finally I learned that I was very wrong about you. That was when I told myself,
whatever it takes, I will make you mine. I will make you fall for me. After that night with you, I was sure
that you were the one for me. When you agreed to my bizarre proposal, I was more than gratified but I
know that it will be difficult if I will meet you as Derick often so I decided to meet you as Nick. I can''t
bear not seeing you or being with you every day. Sorry if I had to ckmail you to work for me. I didn''t
want you singing at the bar so I bribed the drummer. I hated it when you performed in front of all those
trash! I am so obsessed with you that''s why I did all that! I was even jealous of Derick! I wanted you to
like me as Nick too." he confessed.
She was left speechless.
"I love you so much honey. I am so sorry. I wanted you to love me as much as I love you so even if you
discovered the truth about Nick and Derick, you will forgive me."he said emotionally.
Her heart was beating fast. The Nichs Derick Alcantara was crazy about her and he wanted to marry

"Honey?" he called her with a slight frown on his handsome face.
"No!" She red at him when he started to move towards her.

He angrily uttered a very bad word.
"Look at you! You are at fault but you are still very arrogant! You are impossible! " she angrily said.
As if exasperated, Nick grabbed his hair." Okay!! What do you want me to do? Do you want to see me
in jail? Do you want me to beg? What? Tell me what you want me to do?!" he asked controlling his own
anger.
He was not used to begging for anything but he would do it to get her forgiveness. He had been longing
to touch and kiss her but she had been pushing him. .
"Tell me what I need to do so you will finally give me your forgiveness. I am not your ex and will never
be. We are getting married!"
Stacey rolled her eyes but didn''tment on what he said. She had to admit to herself that he was
partly correct. But she wasn''t going to make it easy for him.
"I won''t go home with you tonight. I will stay at Eve''s." He was about to disagree but she held her hand
up.
"You can''t say no because if you do, not unless you force yourself to me, I will nevere back to
you!" she said firmly.
Nick''s breathing became shallow and she knows that he was controlling his anger.
"You asked me what I want , didn''t you? If you want me to forgive you, then woo me the right way. I
won''t let you have your way just like that!"
A crease appeared on Nick''s forehead.
What the f*ck? I don''t know how to woo a woman!" he thought.
She knows what he was thinking. He hadn''t wooed a woman in his life. She sighed heavily. "Figure it all
out! That is what I want you to do!"
He cursed.
"Stop cursing! If you don''t want to do it then no one is forcing you!" She turned to the sofa to get her
clothes. " Take me to Eve''s now!"
"Honey...please...try to understand.. Can you just tell me what I need to do? How do I court you?" he
asked sounding a little desperate.
She raised one brow and she tilted her chin. She wanted to beam but she didn''t of course. She felt
triumphant because Nick was willing to as she wishes.
"I want flowers and choctes. Red or white roses only. You have to bring them to Eve''s ce three
times a night. We can dine out but you can''t touch me! Any part of me for that matter. And don''t call me
honey because we aren''t a couple yet. In short, return to zero Mr.Alcantara. Take it or leave it!"
"F*cking hell!" Nick raked his fingers through his hair in frustration.
