They call him: the dark one.
It was actually meant to say 'deceit' in the cover art that I made for the story, but you know things don't always work out. By the way, the person or image displayed in the cover art is not actually the protagonist, so just to let you know. It's just somebody important to the story. Also, Royal Road has a problem when it comes to mobile users like me because each time I'm trying to upload the cover art, I guess it was too big, so I had to whittle down its size, which makes it look terrible now. But yeah, it's basically a nightmare for me to put anything in, especially if it's a custom-made cover art. Also, I don't really put much thought into the genres or tags that I put down; I just do it because I think I might use them in the story, not because I will. But I like, uhh, dark stories, so definitely grimdark, probably. I also deleted this account several times, mainly because I hated the cover art, and now that I finally got one, I think this is an official account. And please for the life of me tell me if there's any typos or anything. Anyway enough yapping synopsis is below.Tom was your everyday average man, or perhaps not, due to the circumstances that led to his subsequent demise at the young age of 20. This all transpired due to one unfortunate event that would lead him to a terrible life. At the young age of 13, his mother died. This death led him to spiral into depression, which was made worse by his alcoholic and abusive father, who blamed him for his wife's death. The rest of his family was even more cruel, choosing to turn a blind eye to what was happening. At the age of 15, he became a smoking addict, and at the age of 20, he met his end after messing with the wrong people while trying to get his next fix and not being able to pay back those he previously owed. Needless to say, he lived a terrible life and died a terrible death. But now, in a new world, how will Tom behave? And what will possibly turn him to the dark side? You're going to have to read the fine print to find out, since I'm not saying anything.
