Ancient Tribe Politics: Chapter 1: How My Life Ended.
Tales ki
It was raining. Translucent drops of water were continually falling from the sky and frantically wetting the ground. The water traveled along the track and ran down the poorly made asphalt. However, this was not relaxing, nor did I feel bothered by the government''s irresponsibility. In fact, it was not even relevant.
A bloodied body, with the left arm broken, the right arm torn off, and both legs severed, was on the road, not specifically on the road, but between a truck and a car.
That was my body. The truck hit me head on, head on with another car. I was crushed between the two and my bike was destroyed.
Only in these moments does life truly begin to make sense; finally, on the brink of death, we give life the value it deserves. It is ironic that if death did not exist, we would not give life as much value as we do now.
Of course, modern society somehow does not value life as it should; everyone is considered a mere cog in the wheel of this damned capitalist system; easily replaceable individuals. From the employees to the bosses themselves, everyone is easily replaceable. From the elite to the bottom, everyone is easily replaceable. Be it the nobles, the serfs, the commoners, the officials, the rich, the poor, everyone is easily replaceable…
Why am I wasting my time pondering such things? I am here, staring at my own broken body, not knowing what to do. I don''t know how I am still alive, or if I am alive at all; I don''t know what is happening. I have no idea. I am confused, lost on the way, alone, without hope, perhaps with small hopes, almost imperceptible to anyone who could see me now.
I am afraid, anxious, confused, trembling, frightened, distressed, terrified, nihilistic, realistic, astonished, in disbelief. No matter how much I try to understand, no matter how much I try to reason, no matter how much I try to discern, I don''t know what is happening.
My mind is in turmoil. Inevitably, anyone would be scared in my place; I don''t know what to do. In all my life, I''ve never had an experience like this... I don''t think anyone has had an experience like this. At least, I don''t know if anyone else has had an experience like this.
So, is this what death is like? Is this what happens after death? What will I do from now on? Will I just wander the earth, like a spirit? Or is what is happening now actually a hallucination of my brain trying to hold on to the thin thread of life?
Let''s get things straight. Calm down. I need to calm down. Being anxious won''t get me anywhere. All fear and anxiety will do to me is drown me in a river of on-call, churros, tears of despair.
I have to calm down. First, take a deep breath, if I can even breathe right now, but I''ll try. I will calm down and analyze the situation carefully and patiently. This is how all people should act when faced with a seemingly inexplicable situation.
Let''s organize my thoughts. First, let''s check my senses. I checked all my senses: sight, smell, touch, hearing. I touched various parts of my body. I was inevitably surprised by the fact that my body here is complete and well cared for, and my body between the car and the truck is destroyed.
After that, I looked around, trying to assess the situation more carefully and thoroughly.
Three things are clear to me: First: I died. I left home on my motorcycle and an accident involving me, my motorcycle, a car and a truck happened. Second: I don''t know how, but I''m still alive somehow. As I considered earlier, I don''t know if this is a hallucination of my brain trying to hold on to the last drops of life or if I really am in spirit form, but one thing is certain: if I haven''t died yet, I will die. Third: maybe there is life after death.
Death might not be the end. Maybe I''ll just wander the earth in spirit form, I don''t know. Wait, why can''t I see other spirits too?
Maybe… this is just a vision?
“Yes, you are right.”
A calm, serene voice snapped me out of my stupor. I felt strangely calm as I listened. The scenery in front of me disappeared and everything went white. After that, a fantastic temple appeared in front of me. I walked over and entered it.
"Welcome."
The voice spoke again. I listened intently as my heart raced and I desperately tried to calm myself down so I could handle the situation properly.

"Who are you?"
“Maybe I''m a god, maybe I''m you, maybe I''m your world, day sister, your father, your brother, sister, cousins.”
“Please be clear and brief.”
The voice paused for a moment after I said that, and then, it continued.
“I am a god. And I need you.”
“Continue.”
“I’ll get straight to the point: do you know what a god is for?”
I didn''t respond for fear of retaliation. In fact, I didn''t know what to respond.
“To manage a world and prevent it from falling into absolute chaos.”
After that, he stopped again, a brief pause of 5 seconds.
“I have created a new world. Well, I didn’t actually create it; it has come into being and there is a new god in it, but he is not yet awake.”
“While the god of that world sleeps, I need you to help me organize the sentient beings of that world.”
Even though my heart was filled with fear, I was able to completely understand what that being wanted from me.
I need to calm down. Breathe, one, two, three, breathe.
Let''s gather the facts and reason based on them to make the best decision.
Apparently, I died, I was called by a god and now he is forcing me to go to another world so that through me he can influence it in some way.
Despite understanding my position; understanding that this being who was speaking to me now could destroy me, tear me to pieces with a snap of his fingers, I was angered.
In an agreement, both parties must gain something in return.
“I see, so you need me to control and influence the power systems of that world, but I have a question.”
"Say."
“What’s in it for me?”
The mood immediately turned somber. Although I admitted that what I said was reckless, I needed to ask this.
I don''t know what his reaction will be, but I had to ask. Despite that, I don''t expect any very serious consequences to arise.
The individual I am talking about now is a god. Therefore, as he is a being of absolute power, he will not be easily offended; that would be a demonstration of insecurity.
I''m safe, for now.
Different from what I thought, contrary to all my expectations, my left leg exploded, spraying blood everywhere. I screamed in pain.
A being that could not be described in words appeared in front of me and looked at me with a piercing gaze.
“I know you’re not an idiot. You already know your own position and know that I can destroy you with a snap of my fingers, and yet, you dare question me? I’m giving you a new life! You died in a mere motorcycle accident, get a new life and still question your benefactor?!”
After saying that, he walked up to me, was silent for a few moments, and then spoke.
“I will not speak a second time: recognize your place. Recognize that you are weak and can do nothing against me.”
I realized something.
I made a mistake.
I thought that the individual in front of me would not be easily offended because he holds great power, but in fact, he is easily offended.
I shouldn''t have asked what I asked; I should have kept quiet.
Unfortunately, I can''t go back in time.
Still, I can''t contain my anger.
Even though my life was boring, and I wasn''t anyone important, I still had a life. And I liked it. And yet I lost it abruptly. It filled me with anger.
“I… I had a life. I may not have friends, or a family that cares about me, but I had a life on earth. You took that away from me…”
"Ha…hahahaahaah…"
He interrupted me with a laugh.
“A life? You complained all day long that your life was boring; that you weren’t really living, you were just surviving. Working like a convict, trapped in a system that saw you as a slave.”
He paused for a brief moment and then continued speaking.
“I saved you from this, be grateful! Now, I have no more time to waste. I will reincarnate you.”
“Wait…”
“Oh, I forgot to give you a warning: if you disobey me, go against my orders
If you question me again, I will kill you. And this time, there will be no second chance. Bye.”
"Wait…!"
I lost consciousness.
