Chapter 22 I’m Just Bringing My Wife Home, How Is That Breaking the Law?


    She held on to thest vestiges of her strength and pushed back against Euan’s chest. Amongst the


    flowery fragrance which was permeating in the night air, the man’s ck coat was covering two


    ovepping figures. Euan used one hand to prop himself up against the floor so that his body wouldn’t


    crush her underneath. The sharp tips and edges of the cobblestone pierced into his palm, which sent


    shockwaves of pain throughout his body.


    “You would rather satisfy other men to fulfil your own lust inparison to satisfying your own


    husband? Riley, tell me, do you still know who you really are?”


    Euan was still immersed in extreme fury, and his searching gaze caught a hint of her avoiding gaze. He


    wanted to see a look of repentance in her eyes, but that was not what he saw. Instead, the woman


    underneath him averted her face away from him in an attempt to dodge his searching gaze.


    Riley felt like her heart was dripping blood. It felt even more painful than the pain prickling her back.


    Satisfy other men? It turned out that in Euan’s eyes, she was such a promiscuous person. In the past


    three years, there was never a shortage of women who came and went by his side, and all the time she


    was very obedient and never fooled around with men. Yet, she was beingbelled as a promiscuous


    woman after all of her efforts.


    Enough. There was no need for her to endure such humiliation anymore since she had long reached


    her limits.


    “Since Mr. George thinks of me as such an unbing woman, why not you let go of me? You are


    nevercking young beautiful women who are willing to forsake their lives for you, so why are you


    insisting on pestering me?” Her tone was extremely sarcastic. She was uttering those words to cover


    up the pain she was feeling deep down.


    Euan simply chuckled, “In your dreams! You will never escape my grasp in this lifetime. Look carefully


    now. See with your eyes what kind of fate will befall those men who you have an affair with. I will


    destroy whatever part of him that touches you!”


    Riley’s eyes widened as she stared at Euan incredulously, “What are you nning to do?”


    Euan snorted coldly at the face she was making. She was worrying about a man who had just teased


    her. At such a thought, Euan almost couldn’t suppress his urge to tear Kaysorn into pieces and chop off


    his hands and gouge out his eyes!


    “Are you feeling sorry for him? This is just the beginning.”


    Euan suddenly let out augh, and it sounded so sinister as if it was a demonughing in hell. His


    depthless gaze was smeared a pitch-ck colour, “Soon, I will let you see with your own eyes the


    consequences of betraying me.”


    As he said that, his ck coat whipped up a mini storm, and before Riley could recover from her shock,


    he was no longer stering himself to her. Her bare skin was reflecting the night ze in the sky. She


    was like a beautiful flower waiting to bloom.


    Euan’s brows furrowed even further as he shouted, “Get up!”


    Damn it! Riley suddenly felt an anger surging from within.


    “I feel so painful, can’t get up now.”


    She was really in pain, her knee was really in pain, her back was in pain. It was an undeniable kind of


    pain which prated straight to the core of her heart.


    Most importantly, her heart was bleeding.


    Riley never thought that Euan would extend his kind hands to pull her up, and when his strong hands


    were sped with hers, Riley felt like she was a drowning girl who had grasped herst straw in life.


    The sky was exploding with blinding whiteness, and the stars were so voluminous that they dyed the


    sky infinitely.


    However, everything was just an illusion.


    The moment Euan pulled her up, he immediately let go of her with a disgusted look on his face. He


    looked down on her dpidated shirt and immediately felt himself bing angry again.


    “Look at your appearance now! How many men are you nning to fool around with?”


    Riley immediately covered her half-naked body with her face blushing! It was as if a hot steel-stamp


    had left its imprints on her cheeks.


    Her clothes were already half-torn because of Kaysorn, and coupled with Euan’s tampering, the


    minimal fabric on her skin was half-dangling on her waist. The upper half of her body had long been


    exposed!


    It was lucky for her that no one was passing by here, otherwise Riley would definitely be the talk of the


    towne tomorrow!


    Euan removed his coat and draped it over Riley, which almost swallowed herpletely. Only her


    ankles could be seen and her frame seemed to diminish inside the huge coat.


    There was a sh of lightning in Euan’s eyes as he scolded, “You can forsake your own dignity, but


    never make the George family lose face!”


    Riley felt a painful bitterness emanating in her heart. In Euan’s eyes, the reputation of the George


    family rode above everything else. His reputation was more important than her very life.


    Could the reason he was so reluctant to divorce her because of his prideful attitude too?

    Riley looked up and wanted to smile, but something was stinging her eyes and caused her to grimace.


    She could only hold his coat close to her body and took in the scent of tequ abundant on his coat. It


    felt like she was still in his arms.


    She didn’t dare to meet his harsh and intimidating gaze anymore as Riley clutched the huge coat. Her


    long hair which was tidy when she departed from her house earlier was not in tatters, and her hair was


    cascading to the vicle on her neck. Her ck hair formed a stark contrast to her pale white skin. It


    was a sight to behold.


    When she lifted her leg, her ck handbag was shoved into her hand. She looked up only to see


    Euan’s domineering back shrinking into the night.


    His white shirt was pping slight against the wind, and after passing through a section with ns


    hanging down in clusters, his strong scent was in the air for some time even after he had left.


    Riley dug her fingernails into her palms as she picked up her pace and chased after him.


    She didn’t dare to imagine what would await her if she were to be slow on her steps.


    A ck Rolls-Royce was parked by the lush foliage. Victor was jogging over from another direction,


    and upon seeing Euan, he reported, “Boss, we have already settled him.”


    Riley couldn’t help widen her eyes. Settled him? What did he mean? Did he mean that he had


    someone wiped this person off from the face of earth?


    That was criminal! Was Euan crazy? There was a price one had to pay if one were to kill someone!


    Kaysorn was the only son of the Cornell family. He was the only heir to the W&K Corporation too. Had


    Euan lost it?


    Riley reached out to grab his arms as if she was fuelled by an unimaginable courage, “What have you


    done to him? Euan, Kaysorn is the president of the W&K Corporation. Don’t be too brash!”


    Euan nced at her thin and slender hand holding his wrist, and his gaze was burning a hole in her,


    “He is just the president of the tiny W&K Corporation, and he is a good-for-nothing young master too. Is


    someone like that worthy of your worries?”


    He was arrogant and conceited, which rendered Riley a little speechless. Slowly, her fingers clinging to


    his arm unravel themselves.


    “Riley, you are even worse that I thought!” The smile ying over his lips was utterly cold. It was a kind


    of coldness that was empty and depthless.


    Rileyughed coldly, “Does a human life mean nothing to you, Mr. George?” She was referring to


    herself at the same time.


    Euan’s icy voice could even prate the ss window, “Are you expecting me to take someone who


    doesn’t respect himself seriously?”


    Someone who didn’t respect himself? This wasughable!


    Riley turned her face in another direction while swallowing the harsh words she initially nned to


    spout.


    Euan made a gesture, and Victor held the door to the backseat open. Euan stepped into the car while


    Riley was contemting. Should she follow suit, or should she remain the same spot?


    “You’re noting in? Are you thinking to return there… and repeat the same thing?”


    Euan’s sarcasticment rang out from the interior of the car. He didn’t explicitly stated that she was


    going to seduce men in front of Victor and instead he chose his words carefully. Even after that, his


    words still brought the same impact to Riley.


    Riley gritted her teeth and got into the car. To her relief, the backseat was spacious enough so that she


    could sit at the far end of the seat. They wouldn’t have to be in close proximity.


    As they were sitting side by side albeit the short distance separating them, Riley could still feel a


    murderous aura creeping up her legs and burrowing into her and reaching her head. Her hair was


    standing on end as if excited by that aura.


    It was an oppressive feeling.


    “Boss, where are we headed to?”


    Victor sensed a strange atmosphere hanging in the air, so he quietly asked in a soft voice. He prepared


    the car for departure and he only needed an order from Euan.


    “Return to the YJ Vi now.”


    “Roger!”


    The roar of the engine overwhelmed Riley’s breathing. They were going back to the YJ Vi… a


    thunderstorm was waiting for her the moment they reached.


    Riley recalled Victor’s words about having dealt with that person cleanly, and there was a thorn in her


    heart. She was seriously worried that Euan wouldmit an irreversible mistake while being led on by


    his own anger, “Kaysorn hadn’t done anything at all, you shouldn’t be too ruthless. After all, he is a


    young master from the Cornell family. You still have to care about his father’s dignity.”


    The business field was akin to a battlefield. It was more beneficial to have more friends than foes.


    Euan’s extremely thin lips curled up faintly again, and in the narrow space inside the car, he could smell


    the woman’s fragrance perfectly. If he carefully sniffed the air, he could get a whiff of Gardenia which


    lingered at his nose.


    His heartbeat inadvertently quickened for some reason.


    “You want me to let him off the hook? Then I would have to see whether you can calm me


    down!”
