Chapter 5 A Quarrel? A Fresh Experience


    Euan looked at Riley Watson and said casually, “Let’s have dinner together with my parents tomorrow.”


    She thought that he would ridicule her but who knew that he gave her tremendous news directly.


    The George family? The George family was definitely the ce that she did not want to go the most in


    this world. It was even a nightmare when it was a family dinner!


    Riley pursed her lips subconsciously and she would be terrified whenever thought of the George family.


    But, she would not express any of her restlessness towards Euan. She said, “Ok.”


    She replied with only a single word, showing that she had a casual attitude towards this matter.


    Finally, Euan raised his eyes from the documents and asked, “Don’t you ask why?”


    She wanted to know the reason for sure because when she did not even have a mental preparation


    before going there, she would definitely get beaten up.

    Euan had already lowered his head to continue reading the documents and said, “Hendrix ising


    back tomorrow so a banquet will be hosted at home to wee him.”


    Hendrix?


    Riley thought of the name for quite a while and finally remembered after some time. Euan had a half-


    brother named Hendrix George.


    He went overseas to pursue his studies five years ago and never returned during this period of time.


    There used to be lots of rumors about these two young masters of the George family but they were just


    a piece of words from others and they were exaggerated badly.


    She did not know what the appearance of her brother-inw was.


    “Alright, I will attend tomorrow.”


    After Riley replying, she waited for Euan’s reaction quietly. Regarding this trip to George''s family, did


    they go together or went separately and met at the entrance? Was there any nning needed to be

    After reading the documents, Euan signed his signature using a pen. The long and thin fingers with

    Euan put down the documents and realized that Riley was still there so he asked with a low but


    attractive voice, “Something else?”


    Riley recovered suddenly and it meant that she was required to go personally since there was no


    special instruction.


    She thought that Euan was looking down at her to the extent that he did not want to ride the same car


    with her.


    It was fine for him to dislike her because she would just ignore him.


    “I am your attending physician and going to do the recovery check now. You will only know whether you


    can be discharged from the hospital after this check.”


    Euan frowned and said, “No need to check. I must discharge tomorrow.”


    Rileyughed and said, “I am so sorry, Mr George. You are in a hospital and I am a doctor so you need


    to listen to me.”


    Euan hardly fell sick in these few years so she definitely had to make use of her rights this time. As for


    her personal objective, how could she let Euan discover it?

    knew that he was afraid that she would make him embarrassed for wearing too shabby.

    The family dinner was small but the outfit was expensive. Dr Watson felt upset due to the huge amount


    of money spent for the clothes and shoes. The performance fee for this show was terribly expensive!


    Actually, Euan gave her a supplementary card before but he would be notified when the transaction


    was made via the supplementary card and she did not want to let him know.


    She looked at the numbers in her savings ount decreasing tremendously in the text messages and


    she was frustrated!


    “Miss.”


    Riley just walked down the stairs gloomily and a voice of a man came from the top. Her anger was


    being ignited and she looked upwards then said fiercely, “Who are you calling!”


    The man standing in front of her was estimated below twenty five years old and wearing a hip-hop style


    fashion brand with golden hair. When he smiled, he looked cheerful but slovenly.


    “Then, madam?”


    Riley frowned because her feelings were not good at first and it got worse when she met this bad


    youngster. She said, “Who is madam? Do you know how to speak?”


    The young manughed slovenly and asked, “Beauty? OK?”


    The man raised the corner of his mouth and the look in his eyes was so innocent that Riley could not


    scold him anymore.


    The man noticed that Riley was not that angry already then he smiled and asked, “Beautifuldy, I want


    to ask how to go to Oriental International Hotel.”


    Oriental International Hotel? It was the most luxurious six star hotel in JD City.


    Riley could not restrain to look at the man again. Although what he was wearing were fashion brands,


    Riley recognized that his ripped jeans were thetest model of top luxury goods in France and the


    selling price was more than seventy or eighty thousand. There was also a Hermes logo on his luggage


    and the essory hung on his bag’s zip was the handmade limited edition of Gi.


    Oh, he was a rich young man unexpectedly, no wonder he asked the direction for Oriental International


    Hotel.


    Riley pointed towards the junction in front of them and said, “Go straight, turn right, then go straight and


    it is at your right side.”


    “Alright, thank you... beauty!”


    The man bowed to her and left with his luggage after expressing his gratitude.


    Riley thought of something suddenly but when she raised her head, the man had disappeared from her


    sight.

    She felt delighted suddenly and tightened her hands when she thought that perhaps they were going to


    depart together.


    But, the door opened and Victor Matthews, Euan’s driver, got off from the car.


    “Mrs. George, the boss ordered me to send something to you.” Victor said with a smile.


    Riley felt disappointed. She had not learned the lesson that every expectation would turn into


    disappointment!


    “What is it?”


    Victor opened the back door and took two bags out from the car. Riley frowned when she noticed the


    logo on the bags.


    “The boss said that you bring these to the family dinner tonight... and these are the present for


    Hendrix.”


    Riley smiled bitterly because after all, he was still afraid that she was going to make him embarrassed


    so he bought the gifts. As for keeping up appearances, he was willing to spend big money.


    “If Mrs. George doesn’t have another order, then I leave first.”


    When Victor wanted to leave, Riley panicked and asked, “How... is Euan?”


    “Oh! The boss had been discharged from the hospital at ten o’ clock this morning and he is in the office


    now. Mrs. George, please be assured since the boss was recovering greatly.”


    Riley nodded and said, “That’s good. You can go now.”


    Riley wore a new gown bought just now. The ck off-the-shoulder and floor-length dress was simple


    but not too vulgar or old-fashioned as well.


    The red high heels coated with diamonds was wless in terms of itsfort and its design.


    Riley looked nkly at herself in the mirror and she thought of women pleased themselves by having


    good appearance. How long had she not been dressed up like this?


    She hesitated and took out her phone. She dialed Euan’s contact number nervously.


    The phone was answered after only a few rang and Riley was surprised that he picked up the phone so


    fast.


    It followed by Euan’s sound from the other side of the phone, “Anything?”


    The deep voice was still extremely attractive even though it was on the other side of the phone. Riley


    held her shirt stronger and her hands were damp.


    “I have received the thing....” Riley would like to say thanks but she stopped. It was hard for her to say


    it to Euan.


    The other side of the phone remained silent and seemed like he was waiting for her to finish her

    Riley took a deep breath and changed the subject, “I wasn’t there when you were discharged from the


    hospital. Do eat the right amount of medicine on time to avoid recurrence of your illness.”


    In the office on the top floor of MBK International Corporation at the CBD Business Centre in JD City,


    Euan took his phone at his left hand while flipping through the documents using his right hand. He


    frowned seriously.


    After hearing Riley’s prescription, Euan flipped through the documents even harder and almost


    wrinkled the papers. How many ways did this woman have to make him angry?


    The secretary who was standing at his opposite noticed the sudden change in his facial expression and


    did not dare to speak anything.


    Euan took the coffee cup and when he wanted to drink it, he remembered some words from someone


    and then pointed to the water cup using his fingers. The secretary understood immediately and gave


    Euan a cup of hot water using his both hands.


    After moving the coffee cup to the corner of the table then taking a sip of in water, Euan finally put


    the phone back to his ear.


    Riley was waiting nervously and she was curious about the noise on the other side of the phone. When


    she was waiting impatiently, Euan’s voice was sent through the phone, “You go away from your post


    and leave the patient alone without permission. Why? You want to make up for your mistake?”


    Riley pursed her lips and Euan’s calm voice made her embarrassed. She exined, “I am not on duty


    today and you have already recovered.”


    Her tone was slightly stiff.


    Euan knocked at the table that was made of Phoebe and said in anger. He said, “I think you don’t want


    to be on duty after this right? If you want to go for a strike, I can help you.”


    Riley finally could not stand Euan’s sneer anymore and she said, “I have no time to quarrel with you,


    see you at George residence tonight.”


    Riley hung up the phone directly and she regretted calling him!


    The secretary was terrified and looked at Euan. Euan’s expression looked carefree and he signed his


    name then asked the secretary to leave.


    “A quarrel?”


    He was thinking of these words carefully and raised his thin lips.


    At night, at the George residence.


    George residence which was located at the central part of arge vi area in the East was a European


    style building of thest century. The three-storey main building of the vi was connected with two


    small two-storey white buildings. There was arge courtyard in front of it. The whole building was quite


    conspicuous in the vi area.


    When the night fell, two ck cars arrived at the main door after the other and the door of Euan’s car


    was opened first. Euan who wore an Italian handmade Armani suit stood beside the car and his strong


    aura pervaded the surrounding, making the air pressure dropped sharply to the breathless extent.


    Riley looked grand in her long gown and her long hair was worn in a delicate bun. Her fair and small


    face was decorated with light make up making her seemed like a newly blooming rose which was


    scented in the night breeze.


    Within a blink of an eye, it seemed like the time had brought them back to a certain time in the past.


    They looked at each other for a few seconds and Riley walked towards him on her high heels. She


    stretched out her arm to hold his arm and the moment her hand slid into her arm, her heart thumped


    wildly, as if she had stolen some rare treasure.


    The hidden restlessness.


    The hidden happiness.


    “I know you are unwilling toe but since you are here already, you need to persevere and


    remember who you are as well as your value.”


    The sense of happiness that had just appeared waspletely destroyed by his words. Riley was


    heartbreaking and said, “Don’t worry, I know.”


    “Good.”


    Euan’s tone was fierce and angry but Riley could not understand the reason behind.
