Finale: She Finally Said Yes

    ZOE’S POV


    Standing in the hallway, in front of the open door… is Helios. He was holding our daughter’s hand.


    Is my third eye open as well? I did the sign of a cross and closed my eyes. Lord, God, I may badly


    want to see him, but this shocked me. I opened my eyes, and he was still there.


    I also heard the seemingly suppressedughter of those with me inside.


    He smiled at me, which made my heart thumps so fast that I could even overhear it. Astonishment


    registered on my face. Confused…


    What is this?


    "Mommy, daddy!" H shouted.


    I looked down at the bouquet of roses that he was holding. It has assorted colors.


    What’s going on? I turned my gaze to my parents to find an answer. But they just nodded.


    I backed away when Helios started to walk inward. Our daughter was still next to him, smiling.


    Helios’s face remains calm as he slowly walks toward me.


    He stopped a few inches away from me.


    "Baby," his soft voice almost feels so unreal.


    I shook my head. My vision started to blur again. My heart pound-fast, and it brought pain into my


    chest. I didn''t know what was happening, and I hated this feeling. Why does it seem like he was


    real? That he was not gone? That he doesn’t leave me.


    "I want to tell you about this man, a little secret of him not so long ago, way back in your college


    days," he started. "I have a twin brother, but he was already dead years ago. He was your first—”


    “What?”


    Helios smiled. “I know I’m such a jerk. I don’t want to dig into the past anymore. I am so sorry. I


    know it’s not enough. Knowing this truth, you can leave me—”


    “What are you talking about? I don’t care about the past. I don’t even think about it. All I ever


    wanted is for you to wake up!”


    This moment... our moment... it seems like we''re the only ones who existed. With all his revtions,


    my almost broken heart because of the taught that he had already left me... slowly mended and


    been brought to its original shape.

    meaning of my undying love for you. Red roses are often considered the universal symbol of love.


    This red rose conveys my deep affection, such as desire or longing for you." He pointed to the red


    rose and remained to kneel.


    “Pink roses suggest gentleness, But I can’t promise to be gentle to you… in bed.” I hit him on the


    shoulder. She’s pointing out different things again. Those with us inside alsoughed.


    “I’m pregnant, Helios.”


    "I know, baby, I know," he said and kissed my tummy. "Pink roses also serve as a token of

    Tears glow as it flows into my cheeks. It seems to no end. It looks like I am going to faint because of


    astonishment. I can’t process it all.


    "This rose," he pointed to the orange rose, "indicates enthusiasm and passion. They almost have


    the same meaning as the red rose. It also conveys romance... but not as valuable as the red rose.


    Andstly…” I looked at the white rose that stood at the center of the other roses, “the white rose.


    White has always been a symbol of purity, innocence, and in some cases, chastity, and for roses, it


    is no exception. But you''re not innocent anymore, because I took it from you," he let out a soft


    chuckle. "For that reason, white roses are often given at weddings," he pulled something at the

    “Yes, Helios. It’s a yes!” I said happily.


    His tears fell as he put the ring on my finger. He stood up and hugged me tightly before pressing his


    lips into mine.


    We then receive praise and renewed apuse from those with us inside.


    To have hope is to want an oue that makes our life better somehow. It can help us make a


    tough present and eventually improve our lives because envisioning a better future motivates us to


    take steps in life and make it happen.


    Who would have thought that the almost-failed ending we have would turn into an unexpectedly


    magical and memorable one?


    Realizing that our life is ordered by learning how to love as God loves has profoundly impacted the


    way we approach things. The world would have us believe that life has no purpose and that our


    existence was a universal anomaly or even an ident. Thus, we disagree. We know and believe


    that our lives have a sense and are on a journey. As we progress, we learn more and more about


    how to love as we are prepared, with all the people of God, to spend eternity with He who loved us


    into existence.


    May God always be on our side as we open a new chapter of our life.
