Unknown Call


    HELIOS went out early to visit Grant’s twin brother, but those guards outside Gunner’s room were


    already dead when they arrived. They didn’t see any gunshots because all his men were drugged to


    death, and Gunner was missing.


    “Damn that, Bill!” Grant murmured as he punched the wall.


    Ali approached him and touched his left shoulder. “Calm down, Grant. Don’t let your rage eat you.”


    “How the shits I can calm down? He took Gun—he took my brother!”


    Helios then let Ali calm his cousin. He massages his temple. Bill is getting on his nerves.

    "We need to go back," said Helios.


    "Where to?" asked Calyx.


    “At home,” Helios replied and twitched the doorknob, and went out of the room. He pulled out his


    cell phone and called someone to remove the corpses inside the room before the police could see


    them.


    When he hung up, his phone rang again. He frowned when a familiar name appeared on his phone


    screen.


    *Mrs. Levine*


    "Mom," he started.


    “Helios… have you seen Amanda? She’s with Beige. They went outst night, and they didn’t get


    back here until now.” There’s a tone of concern in the olddy’s voice.


    “No. Why did they leave? Didn’t they tell you where they should go?”


    He heard Aunt Millie’s voice on the other line, and it seemed like she was crying.


    “No. We went out yesterday, and we left them here. The guards said they got inside a car with her


    son. They didn’t ask permission to get out. Even to the butler.”


    "Have you checked the surveince cameras?"

    pressed something. The video stopped, and Helios was stunned.

    Calyx then chased Helios.


    "Dude, what''s the rush?"


    Helios opened the door of his car and got in. Before he closed the door, he spoke, “I have a bad


    feeling about this. We need to go back to my house,” he said and closed the door.


    He drives the car swiftly. He took his phone and dialed Zoe’s number, but it couldn’t be reached. He


    tightened his grip on the steering wheel and tried to dial Bea’s number, but it was still the same—he


    couldn’t be reached. So, he called theirndline. It rang for seconds before someone answered it.


    “Where’s Zoe?”


    “Sir, they left, together with her friends—” He ended the call and cursed under his breath.


    The next thing he did was call us—the head of his bodyguards’. He wears his earpiece.


    "us! Where''s Zoe?"


    "Gone out, Sir—”


    “Damn it! Why did you let them go outside the house?!” he shouted and ended the call.


    The gate opened when he was near his mansion, and he entered. He stopped in front of the big


    wooden door and quickly climbed down.


    He was ignited with anger when he approached us. Because of rage, he threw a punch at the

    away.

    Silence prevailed, and all he could hear was his heavy breathing. And the silence crashed when his


    phone rang.


    An unknown number shed on the screen.


    “How are you, Lincoln?” asked the voice on the other line.


    "Fuck you, Bill! Where''s Zoe and my daughter!"


    The man on the other lineughed. “What are you talking about?”


    Helios’s nails sunk into his palm because of his tight grip. "Don''t you every a finger on them, Bill?"


    “My, my, my… Come on, Helios, feel my wrath. I’ll give you until seven o’clock to show you. If you


    want to see your beautiful wife-to-be and lovely daughter—"


    “Don’t touch my daughter!” said a woman''s voice on the other line.


    “Chill, baby. I won’t hurt her… if you allow me to touch you—"


    “Fuck it, Bill! Don’t touch what is mine!” Helios growled. His breathing became heavy.


    The man on the other lineughed demonically.


    “Follow what I’ve just said, Helios. 7 pm sharp. Don’t ever try to report this to the police. You might


    not be able to find your woman and your daughter alive,” said Bill andughed again.


    Loud cries can be heard on the other line.


    “Where can I find you?” asked Helios.


    Bill snorted. “Show me how smart you are, lover boy. Track us, Helios. If you don’t arrive at exactly


    seven o’clock… the whole building will explode. And, Helios, each of them has a bomb, hugging


    their bodies—even your daughter. So, quick and track as down… if you can,” said Bill and ended


    the call.


    Helios fell to his knees because of frustration. He feels like he’s a useless jerk. He didn’t see it


    coming. He was so at ease that he could protect Zoe and their daughter.


    He didn’t think that the man he was dealing with was a total lunatic.


    “Start tracking the call,” he said, almost whispering. He is weakening.


    Hispanion inside obeyed and began the search. Calyx picked up his cell phone that had fallen


    from his grip and handed it to us.

    Helios stood up and went outside. He climbed upstairs and entered the room beside his office.
