Acting Cupid
“MAN! What’s wrong with you? Why did you kill them? Are you insane?”
The man smiled. “They deserved it. It was just a simple task, but they failed to do it. And that
woman, I gave her a chance before to get closer to Helios, what did she do? She gave up! A
coward! The same goes with that asshole! Useless creatures. And that Amanda, she’s really pissing
me off!”
“What’s really your n? And what did Helios do to you… that you’re acting this way?”
The man looked at him sharply. He stood up and recklessly cocked the gun and aimed it in front.
“Why are you asking so many questions? Huh?” the man shouted.
The guy raises his two hands. “Chill, I’m on your side.”
The man who was holding the gunughed and touched the head of the gun to his face. He kissed
it.
‘Crazy,’ the man thought as he saw how he kissed the tip of his gun.
“Get out of here. I might lose my temper and kill you,” the man said, and he followed.
“I’ll repeat. I’m on your side. Whatever your problem with Helios—Whatever your n with him, do ii
before Helios makes the first move.” He tapped the man on the shoulder and walked away from the
room.

“SWEETIE, Helios will be with you for a few days.”
Zoe stopped what she was doing. “Pardon?” she asked crookedly. “Where are you going? And why
do we even need Helios to be here? We have a lot of bodyguards, mom.”
They are currently eating dinner, and she’s feeding her daughter. Why does Helios have to stay with
them for a while?
Luckily, Amanda and her son were not there. And when Amanda hears about it, she might get
jealous. She couldn’t understand Amanda’s behavior. Sometimes, she’s silent, and sometimes
she’s mad at something. There seems to be a problem with her brain. But she was surprised before
dinner that she brought her son inside the theater room and said that they needed to spend some
quality time.
“I’ll go back with your Aunt Millie in California,” her mother looked to her dad, “we’re attending a
business summit.”
“Helios knew about it, and he asked me if he could stay here for the meantime,” said Millie.
“But Aunt, there’s no need with that. Besides, he cane here anytime. But he’s not allowed to
stay here. Think of me,” sheined. Don’t you care about my feelings, she wants to add.
Her motherughed. “Gosh, sweetie, you’re not a teen anymore. Don’t tell me you’re being aloof
with the father of your child. And we’re more at ease if Helios will be here. Just be thankful that
we’re not sending you to his ce.”
“Why are we going there, mom?”
“You need to get married first before we will send you there.”
“What? So, how about him? He cane here whenever he wants, even if we’re not married yet. Is
that so, mom?” she asked sarcastically.
“Don’t be sarcastic, sweetie. If you’re going to ask us… you would have been married to Helios. But
you’re so picky, eh,” said her mom, and the old womanughed.
Zoe handed the spoon first to Elena and let the nanny feed her daughter. She then turned to her
parents.
“How many days do you n to spend in Cali?”
“You’re willing that Helios will stay here? Her mother asked, which made her brows arch. Hmm…
she smells something.
“Wait—you mean Helios doesn’t know about your scheme, mommy?”
The olddy seemed surprised by her action. And she was sure that her mother was acting cupid
again.
“Of… Of course, he knows about it. That’s why I’m telling you about it. Anyway, we’re staying there
for two to three weeks,” her mother replied.
Three weeks?
“Of course, we need to settle things there. Spend some quality time together. Right, Millie?”
“Yes,” her aunt replied, who had obviously scripted their performance. Why didn’t just her mother
