Doubting


    THINGS HAPPEN unexpectedly, and there’s no doubt about that. But all we could do to blend in is


    to ept the fact that we can’t bring back what was already happened. All we have to do is move


    on because that’s how life goes. The world is round, so in your life, we may sometimes in the top,


    and we may sometimes be below. We may experience all-day happiness, and we may share all-day


    sorrows. We must always look on the bright side. That’s all we can do to help ourselves to move on.

    Life is more challenging when we struggle. And Zoe realized all things within when Helios told her to


    trust him.


    Since the day that day, the guy has alwayse along. He always visits them after his work. Zoe


    felt pity for the man because he would have to drop by just to see her daughter. She knew that the

    Zoe keeps an eye on her cousin because she seems to be behaving strangely.

    He shook his head, and that made Zoe pity him more. “See, you haven’t eaten yet. Are you trying to


    ruin your body? If you’re worried about us, I can say that we’re just fine. Your men watch over us,


    twenty-four-seven. And we don’t even go out from the mansion.”


    Even if she still has unfixed issues with the man, she doesn’t want him to abuse himself. What


    about his promise, then? What will happen to it if he will not watch his health? Sometimes you still


    need to love yourself as much as you love others. Because once your body gives up, you can no


    longer stay longer with your loved ones, and you can no longer do whatever you want to do.


    “Be thankful that we haven’t started dinner yet. Eat with us, then.”

    Zoe just shook her head and smiled. She’s happy despite all the mess… the problems they’ve been


    through. She’s happy because they have no problem with Helios being the father of her daughter.


    Though there are still secrets to unfold, still she’s holding to Helios’s promise.


    “Beige. Don’t put toys inside your mouth.” Zoe called the attention of the boy who was ying with


    the toy car her mom bought yesterday. Her mom also epted Amanda’s son. Just like her, the


    child has nothing to do with what Amanda did to the family. Beige is also a blessing to their family.


    So, they should forgive her.


    Her mommy is right. God forgives us no matter how tough our mistakes are. Why can’t we?


    Zoe can forgive her, but she can’t promise that she’ll be good to her. Because every time she sees


    her, the sight of Amanda irritates her eyes.

    her, she’s making an alibi that mom or aunt Millie was calling for her. She’s avoiding me. Aunt Millie


    told me that we will just let her adjust.” Sheughed sarcastically. “Adjust for what? Are you not

    Helios frowned. “What is it?”


    She shook her head. “Nothing.” She stood up. “Stay here. I’m just going to help in the kitchen, and I


    will call you once the food is already prepared. Watch over the kids, okay?” she said and quickly


    turned around and walked toward the kitchen.


    Helios heaved a deep sigh as he closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.
