    Helios averted his gaze. “Who is his intended victim?”


    “He’s got his eye on Zoe’s house, Sir.”


    “Secure the area,” Helios said, gripping the steering wheel tightly. “Call me right away if he does


    anything bad,” he said.


    “Roger that.”

    “Zoe, tell me the truth. Do you genuinely love Helios?” Cindy inquired. She notices that Zoe appears


    to have stronger feelings for Helios, and she wants to confirm her suspicions.


    Zoe stares into nothingness. She’s sobbing now.


    “You will suffer if you do not let go of the pain. That’s what I’m saying.” Cindy took a look at the child.


    “What’s your mother’s problem, baby?” she inquired. H burst outughing. H reached for


    Cindy’s hair and began to y with it. “Ouch!” she eximed as the young girl abruptly yanked her


    hair.


    “What happens now, Zoe? Are you going to talk all day or cry all day?”


    Zoe didn’t say anything but faked augh, and she appeared to be okay.


    “You’re going insane,” Cindy said.


    “H-Helios,” she sniffed, “his marriage was a sham, Cindy...” she turned to face her friend. “I… I


    pushed him away. I don’t... I’m not sure what got into me.” She sobbed louder, causing her daughter


    to stop what she was doing and look at her. “Fear came before me,” she said, covering her face


    with her palms.


    Cindy ced H in her crib and gave the child her toys before approaching Zoe.


    Cindy embraced Zoe and stroked her back. “I understand you.” She let go of Zoe and looked at her.


    “Even if you won’t tell me how you truly feel, Zoe, I know. I know how much you love Helios. If you


    were meant to be together, destiny would arrange for you to be together again. Yes, your


    rtionship with him is shaky, but he adores you. I used to despise him, but now I see all of his


    sacrifices. I believe you should give him a chance. Believe in the process. For the time being, you
