“THIS is your fault, Helios. Why would you listen to your father?” Grant’s voice keeps on lingering

    inside Helios’s mind.

He opened up his problem to Grant so that his cousin would help him to find Zoe. And as promised,

    Grant will look after it.

“You’re a son of a mafia boss, a future mafia leader after your father. Yet, you’re scared?”

“Fuck!” Helios throws the ss on the wall of his office inside his penthouse.

‘Grant’s voice is really troublesome,’ he thought.

Helios went mad like this… for a woman. But Zoe is different. She possessed something that

enchanted him, and she was hard to forget.

Speaking of who, Grant entered his office and pped his hands soon as he sat on the side of his

    desk.

Helios arched his brow. “What are you doing here?”

Grant smiled. “Hmm… visiting my dearest cousin, whose heart—”

“Shut the fuck up, Grant. I am not in the mood for your jokes,” Helios cut off the hum of his words.

Grant shrugged his shoulders. “Well, if you say so. Anyway, I came with a piece of news,” he said,

making Helios meet his gaze as he leaned on his chair.

    “Good or Bad?”

Grant pressed his lips together and was hesitant to tell about it.

Helios crossed his arms in front of his chest. “What?”

    “Bad.”

Helios stood up, gesturing that he was not interested.

Grant shook his head. “But it’s rted to Zoe,” he uttered, making Helios look at him.

    “Spill it.”

“Zoe is not already in Manhattan.”

It was just a few words, but they struck Helios’s heart and seemed shattered into pieces. He

couldn’t find the exact words that he wanted to say.

“ording to my informant, they moved in. But doesn’t know where.”

Helios red at him. “Don’t tell me your abilities are getting weak? It only takes time for you to find

people. Why can’t you find them? Are you hiding something—”

“What? Dude, why would I hide something? Excuse me, and I don’t even know Zoe personally. Just

a few details from you. And oh, inside that bar, but how dare you use me?”

Helios arched his brow. “Then howe you can’t trace her even if they moved in? Search the

    whole state.”

“They’re not in New York anymore. That’s what my informant says. And mind you, you just asked for

help yesterday, and my informant has a job to do aside from yourmand.”

Helios pinched the bridge of his nose.

    “Then he better hurry—”

“She’s a SHE,” Grant emphasizes thatst word.

    Helios knitted his forehead.

    “Your girl?”

Grant arched his brow. “My girl? Excuse me. I hate a woman who even ims that they’re stronger

    than us. Never.”

“Then why wouldn’t you fire her?”

Grant frowned. “She’s even more useful than you. So, why would I? Besides, she doesn’t work

directly with me. She’s independent. How can I fire her?” he asked andughed, making Helios

    re at him.

“Oopsie. Anyway, don’t worry, she will bring the news tonight or first thing tomorrow. Anyway, why

would you have trouble finding her? She already ended everything—”

“It’s not your problem anymore. Didn’t you say that I must not be afraid of my father?”

Grant arched his brow. “Did I say that?”

Helios red at him and was about to hit him when Grant jumped away from him andughed.

“Gosh, dude, you’re really pvssy-whipped. She’s that good—what the hell Helios?!” Grant yelled

when Helios punched him in the arm.

“If I know, you also liked that informant of yours.”

Grant scoffed. “She wished.” Property ? 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

    Helios shook in disbelief.

AFTER work, Cindy invited Zoe to go to the bar. Since her body also needed a drink and chill, she

    agreed.

“What the hell are you wearing?” Cindy’s voice boomed in the living room. She stood up and walked

    closer to Zoe.

    Zoe arched her brow. “Why?”

Cindy rolled her eyes. “Geez, we’re going to the bar. You should wear seductively.”

“What? Are you nuts? I’m not going to the bar to flirt with boys.”

Cindy slightly hit her arm. “Oh, please. Look at me, I wear this very cute—”

    “Daring dress?” Zoe interrupted.

“Yes! So you are. So get back to your room and—”

“Cindy, darling. Zoe is not fond of sexy dresses. She’s happy wearing jeans and shirts,” it was her

mother who just came out of the kitchen.

“But Aunt… we’re going to that high-end bar. And what do you expect when we enter? That bar is

for elite bachelors in this town—”

“She’s taken,” Iris interrupted, making Zoe re at her mom.

    Irisughed, which confused Cindy.

    “You have a boyfriend?”

    “Well, almost—”

“Mom?!” Zoe raised her voice, making her motherugh.

Then came her Aunt Millie. “You girls go and have fun. And Zoe, Cindy’s suggestion is quite fine.”

Zoe shook her head. “I’m notfortable wearing dresses, Aunt Millie,” she said politely.

Millieughed. “That’s fine. Then you can wear crop tops or sleeveless ones. I have a lot in my

closet. And I think it will suit you.”

Zoe heaved a deep sigh, and it seemed like she couldn’t change their minds. It’s three versus one,

so in the end, she agrees, but she only wears a shining, shimmering, sleeveless. And it’s pretty fine,

    though.

“There you are. See, it’s good to show your bare shoulder sometime. Besides, it’s summer, baby,”

    Cindy uttered and smiled.

    Zoe rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”

Millie, who was standing on the side, ughed. “Look at you two. It’s just a day, and you already get

    along. Take care then, okay?”

    Cindy nodded. “Thank you, Aunt.”

“Look after Zoe, Cindy. She’s new in town. And please avoid your enemies,” Millie reminded.

Zoe arched her brow. “You’re a trouble?”

“Of course not. Those bitches are just jealous of me.”

Millieughed. “Cindy here has many elite friends in that club.”

“You got a boyfriend among them?” It was Iris.

Cindy smiled and shook her head. “None, Aunt Iris. They’re not my type,” she said.

Zoe arched her brow. While Iris gave a faint ‘oh.’

    “Seriously? If I were you—”

    “Mom…”

Iris chuckled. “Yeah, whatever, sweetheart. Anyway, go and enjoy the night. Drink responsibly,

    okay?”

    “Aye, Mrs. Levine,” Cindy replied.

“Just call me mom, Cindy,” Iris said.

Cindy smiled. “Aunt and Mrs. will do, mom,” she teased.

    Zoe shook her head.

Cindy is an orphan, and she’s living across the streets. Millie offered to stay with her, but the young

    lady refused.

Cindy failed to enter college since no one could support her except her.

They bit the same. Only Zoe has her mother.
