How He Acted
Zoe’s POV
Soon as we enter the VIP room on the edge of the second floor. I heaved a deep sigh to calm
myself and won’t get enraged because of what he did.
“I’m sorry.” Two words slipped out of our mouths in unison.
I met his gaze and pressed my lips. If I will point out what he did earlier, I will just waste my time. So
I decided not to mention it and told him my purpose.
“I know I was wrong. I should have considered your feelings. But you should have known that love
doesn’t work that way, Hel.”
Helios met my gaze. “Forget about it. Are you okay now? If so, I’ll let you take a nap—”
“I want us to talk.”
Helios scoffed. “About what? It’s clear as crystal that you don’t like me—”
“I like you. That’s the truth.” I saw how his eyes widened and his forehead knitted. “However, that
marriage you wanted, it’s too fast, and I am not prepared. What if you’ll regret it in the end?”
“I never regretted every decision I made,” he said, making me shake my head.
“No, Helios, you can’t be perfect for your whole time being. We allmit mistakes, even just small
ones. Don’t tell me you don’t even make a mistake? I will not believe in it.”
“All I need is for you to love me!” he shouted, which startled the hell out of me.
My heart thumped fast, and I felt a pang of fear.
I wasn’t expecting his reaction. He used to remain calm and stern.
“Hel—”
“Why can’t you just love me back, Zoe? Why?” this time, his voice became gloomy as he knelt in
front of me.
I rushed towards him and tried to pull him up. “What’s wrong with you?”
“Please… just love me back…” he begged faintly.
I frowned. I even gathered my strength back, and the alcohol inside mine vanished.
“Helios.”

I don’t know what to do to him. I can’t just tell him the word: yes, even if I don’t mean it.
I don’t want to lie to myself and even to him.
“Come on, Helios. Quit with it.”
His head bowed, and keep chanting, “love me back.”
“You knew things won’t work that easily, Helios.”
He shook his head and then suddenly met my gaze. “I love you, Zoe. Just love me back.”
“If you won’t stop, I will leave you here and cut all ties with you.” I was left with no choice. It’s not my
intention, but I take risks and hope it will work.
I even diverted the topic from that stupid kiss!
“You will never see me again,” I added.
I saw how lines were drawn into his forehead, and he fixed his gaze on me.
“Are you kidding—”
“Do I look like I am joking?” I asked, but I wanted to burst intoughter deep inside me because I
didn’t expect Helios to act like this.
He’s like a little kid who was bribed by sweets.
“You’ll do that?”
I nodded and pressed my lower lip. “So, stop acting. It doesn’t suit you. You’re not Leonardo
DiCaprio.”
“Who’s that punk?!”
My eyes widened, lips parted, and I gasped. “Are you being real?”
He stood up, and I looked up to meet his gaze this time.
“I don’t want to lose my patience, Zoe. Who’s that punk?!”
“You’re impossible!” I yelled and pinched the bridge of my nose. “You really don’t know him?”
Helios arched his brow. “I won’t be asking if I knew him,” he replied, making me burst intoughter
and walk towards the bed.
My tummy aches as I continueughing. I looked at Helios and saw his deep, deadly res.
“Chill… ha, ha….” I shook my head as I tried to calm myself; I pressed my lower lip. “I’m sorry, I
didn’t mean to—”
“Is that your boyfriend? Or ex?”
My eyes widened and filled me with surprise. How could he don’t know about a legendary actor?
Leonardo’s Titanic movie is my favorite.
And this giant in front of me doesn’t know about him?
“Answer me. Is he you’re your boyfriend?” he asked as he walked closer to me and stopped a meter
away.
I looked up and bit my lower lip. “I wish.”
“What?”
I could feel his impatience lingering inside his eyes down to his voice.
“So, what if he’s my ex?” I don’t know, but I just want to test his patience. Will he get offended by it?
Besides, he dared to stole a kiss earlier. Consider this as a little revenge.
I don’t know where this conversation will lead but seeing Helios’s new sets of reactions; I can’t help
but continue teasing him.
“If you won’t answer me, I’m gonna—”
“Oh,e on, Helios. Howe you’re a top bachelor or whatsoever when you don’t know
Leonardo DiCaprio?”
Helios arched his brow. “Now, I get it. He’s your ex.”
I shook my head and burst intoughter once again. “You have no idea—”
“Because you’re not giving me!” he yelled, making me slightly nudged backward.
I raised my arms, surrendering, and bit my lower lip. “He’s an actor, for goodness’ sake; you’re
jealous of him?”
“Yes,” he replied straightforwardly.
Helios’s walked closer to me, making me arch my brow, and my heart started to thump fast. I don’t
like his aura at this moment.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“I hate when people are making fun of me,” he said, making me scoff.
“I am not making fun—what the hell! Helios!” I interjected when she abruptly pushed himself into
mine, making my back fall on thefy bed as he hovered me.
His arms were on the side of my head as our eyes looked at each other intently.
“Don’t even think about it, Hel,” I mumbled, making him smirk.
The Helios I know is back.
“Think about what? By doing this?”
I gasped when he imed my lips in a blink of an eye. My body tensed in surprise. My grip on the
sheet tightened as my eyes widened.
His lips were so warm, which kept my eyes shut and let me feel the tingling sensation that went
from my spine up to my head.
Then suddenly, his lips started to move,pletely shutting me off.
