Later that evening, you''re getting ready for your date after Jayden texts you that you''re just gonna do
something casual at one of your favourite ces to eat. You decide on a cute yellow dress that dips
low near your cleavage but flows nicely, stoping mid thigh. You fluff up the waves in your hair with your
fingers, smiling satisfied as gentle ringlets border your face.
When you ascend the stairs and walk out towards the dining room, you see that Kirk, Oliver and your
mom are seated at the table. They all look up at you, and you notice the way Oliver''s eyes narrow
"Are you going on your date?"
You nod, and smile brightly at your mom
"Thanks mom for letting me go"
Kirk gives your mom a curious look, and she just shrugs. He grins.
"I think you''re rubbing off on her Kirk"
"I just might be"
Your mom taps the seat beside her, and you walk over, your shirt heels click against the floor, before
you lower yourself into the chair and avoid Oliver''s gaze.
"So where are you guys going?"
Your mom''s eyes are wide and excited as she awaits your response
"We''re going to eat and hangout"
"Hangout huh..."
You shoot Oliver a re, and watch as Kirk nudges his son.
"Enough, Oliver"
Oliver rolls his eyes and continues to pick away at his te of chicken.
I''m d he''s annoyed. He wanted to treat me like dirt... well, I''m not just gonna sit here with my hand
on my ass and be here when he''s over his mood and wants to fuck. No thanks.
"What are you guys gonna do after eating?"
You shrug.
"I''m not sure yet. We have it narrowed down between mini-golfing, and just going for a walk on the bike
trail"
"Oh, sounds romantic. And your dress looks beautiful"
She pulls at the ruffles on your strap, and smiles, sping her hands together.
"My girls growing up!"
You chuckle, before covering your face briefly
"Mom, please don''t embarrass me"
"Oh stop, they don''t care. Is he picking you up??"
"Yeah, he is. He''ll be here soon"
You watch as Oliver tightens his grip around his fork, and keeps a petnt frown on his face.
"Do you even know this guy?"
He directs his question at your mother, who raises her brow before cing a small hand on his
forearm.
"Nice of you to be concerned about her safety, but Scar can take care of herself"
You shoot him an arrogant grin, satisfied when he look away angrily.
"Its just someone from my chem ss, Jayden. I better go wait for him out front anyways. I''ll leave you
guys to eat in peace"
You rise from your seat, knowing Oliver is shooting daggers at your back as your leave the dinning
room.

You open the front door, checking quickly that you have your phone and purse, and close the door
behind you. You stand outside, and check your phone for a text when you hear the front door open.
Turning, you know exactly who it is before you even se him.
"What do you want, Oliver?"
You ignore the way you get excited as you take him in, wearing faded jeans, a leather jacket and a tight
t-shit that outlines his muscles.
"You''re really going on a date with that dumbass?"
"Its none of your business"
You throw his words back in his face, and cross your arms over your chest, willing Jayden to show up
sooner.
"Besides, you looked pretty upied this morning when you were telling me to leave you alone. You
got your wish. I''m leaving you the fuck alone, and thank god"
Oliver snickers sardonically
"Oh, is someone jealous?"
"Not even a little... you can do whatever you want with whoever you want. Even the woman from earlier
if your want. I don''t give a fuck"
"Sounds like you do..."
"Nope. Fuck her for all I care. Hell, gloat about it when you get home, I''m done"
You feel relieved when you see Jayden pulling up in an SUV. He waves at you, and you smile. You
leave Oliver standing angrily on the steps out front. You wave at him just for emphasis and grin when
