Rudolph Sy was pacing back in fourth out of frustration. He was also unceasingly smoking.

On the other side at Sy International, Rawlf was sitting calmly while waiting for the man opposite
him to finish reading a copy of his contract. All throughout, the man shows no sign of emotional
expression. After some minutes, the man finally put down the contract and looked at the man in front of
him. Rawlf Sy, the most powerful figure in Country P is offering him a big deal where he is the party that
could gain more benefits.
"I didn''t expect that President Sy would offer this lowly person a deal where he could gain more.
This scares this lowly person as to what the powerful President Sy''s motive is?" The man speaks
directly yet clothed with a euphemism.
"Vice-President Joshua Ming sounds tacky. President Joshua Ming sounds better." Rawlf replied.
The temptation is apparent.
Joshua Ming smirks. "President Sy must be joking. Meng Corporation is worth nothing to me."
"All throughout the attack, if not because of its capable vice-president, Ming Corporation should
have long turned into ashes. Or maybe this President has guessed wrong considering the capability of
its vice-president, the weak, provocative attack shouldn''t have even done much damage."
Rawlf paused and continued in a slow manner, "Unless someone intentionally stood back."
Joshua Ming nced once at the man sitting in front of him. Then he turned his line of sight to the
transparent ss window with the panoramic view of City I.
"It seems that President Sy did his research well. Although without President Sy''s help it won''t be
long for this lowly person to take Ming Corporation soon. However, this lowly servant also doesn''t want
to make an enemy of the President."
Joshua Ming picked up his ss of scotch on the table and sipped from it slowly. "Deal."
Rawlf smirks and the two men shake their hands. One is known to be very powerful. While the
other whose power is yet to be known.
For the past days, Veronica was busy at Bael Headquarter and at the same time, with her Law
Firm. Basically, in her busy days, Rawlf would bring the kids in thepany. Hence today, she decided
to stay at home and spend time with the kids.
It is a rainy morning as the wet season has started. She was in the living room with the kids when
the house''s telephone rang.
One of the house maids was quick to answer. "Young madam, it''s the old madam."
Veronica walked to the telephone table and took the phone from the maid.
"Good morning mom. Is there any problem?" She greeted and asked at the same time.
"Good morning. How are the kids?" Old Madame Vanessa asks for the kids like she never saw
them when in fact, she just yed with them yesterday in Rawlf''s office.
Veronica turned their heads to the ying children and smiled gently. "They''re doing just fine mom.
Would you like to talk to them?"
"In as much as I want to but I''m having my spa as of the moment. I''ll visit them tomorrow. Anyway I
called because I would like you to apany me tonight to one of my friend''s fundraising events. I
forgot to ask youst time and only remember about it now. I already asked Rawlf that he shoulde
home early tonight to apany the kids since I''m inviting you out." The old Madame talked straightly
leaving Veronica no reason to say no. She was about to reply when the old madam continued,
"I also already ordered a dress for you. It will arrive this afternoon." The old madam giggled then
once again continued,
" don''t worry about the size, the dress''s materials are body hugging and stretchable. It will surely
suit you!"
Excitement apparent in the voice of the old madam.
Oh how nice it would be to have everyone see her daughter inw''s goddess figure with the fact
that she already gave her grandchildren.
The other old madam of another family would surely envy her fortune to have such a daughter in
Veronica couldn''t help but smile with the old madam''s cheerful attitude. It''s the very opposite of
how she was known for her public frosty attitude.
"Okay mom, no problem."
"Perfect! I''ll fetch you tonight at six. Kiss my lovely grandkids for me. Ba-bye!"
Veronica was never given the chance to bid her goodbye as the old madame already dropped the
call.
Meanwhile, in a luxurious suburban mansion, the beautician who was currently giving the madam
a spa was having an incredulous look. This is her first time to witness this kind of attitude from the
madam!
She had been the madam''s private beautician and such cheerful attitude from the madam is too
unbelievable that if she didn''t witness it first hand would consider it as a baseless rumor.
