After carefully settling their cubs in their room, which the couple both wanted to as their being
parents outweighs them, being a couple, Veronica and Rawlf went downstairs to have their dinner.
Veronica didn''t worry about the cubs not having their dinner since back in their father''s office, the
cubs were munching foods their father would offer for them.
From biscuits to chocte- (which Veronica made sure to be moderate) and fruits- (which Veronica
won by insistence) dipped in chocte- (which Baelfair won topromise her snack).
Actually, it''s more on like Baelfair doing all the munching this, there and that which actually
reminded Veronica, Rawlf, and Edward of a hamster chipping on its nuts while Baelfire was having his
fruits in a gentleman like mature manner.
Rawlf who was yet not aware of his daughter''s appetite was even surprised to find out that her
biscuit-full te was empty after just some minutes.
Veronica also made the twins both drink their milk after observing that the cubs were almost lulling
to sleep.
Despite her inexperienced and busy schedule while the twins were growing up, Veronica had
always made it her priority to be a hands-on mother for her twins.
This doting, motherly acts from his woman towards their cubs made Rawlf fell for Veronica even
more deeper that made him think there is no way will a timees that he''ll unlove the woman.
She''s amazingly beautiful, as a woman and as a mother.
"We should go to the mall tomorrow to buy our cubs their needs",Rawlf softly said while walking
their way out the room, his left arms around Veronica''s waist.
"That''s a good idea but this might endanger the cubs. You know, it''smon knowledge that
you''re the wealthiest businessman here in Country P", Veronica replied, trying to hide her real reason.
"And the most powerful", Rawlf looked over her with a determined expression assuring her not to
worry.
"If you were thinking about those people behind your ident and your family''s destruction, I''m
already at it. And don''t worry, I will install my most skillful men to guard our cubs discreetly while they''re
here. Their main priority would be you and the cubs."
Veronica halted which made Rawlf stop as well. She looked at him once again in his eyes.
"There are things I am not yet ready to tell you but one of these days, I would be. But please, heed
my request, make your men''s priority to be the cubs only. I know I am being overly acting but I just
couldn''t take it in me to take any chances, careless chances which can endanger
them."
Rawlf was about to refute but Veronica beat him to it.
"Love, I can protect myself. I can assure you that. Make the cubs our priority."
This time, it is Rawlf who looked over Veronica with the same passion in his eyes. Although he''s
very joyful of the endearment Veronica used on him a while ago, her request is just too impossible for
him to heed.
She and their cubs were now the most important people in his life and he doubted that he would
still be sane if any danger befall any one of them.
It''s true indeed that having people as a weakness will be the unbing of even the strongest
and most powerful of men but the thought of having people to protect makes the strongest and most
powerful of men strive to be more just to secure the safety and welfare of those one treasure the
most.
And that''s what made Rawlf determined to achieve more, something bigger a normal man wouldn''t
dare dream.
Indeed, he is the most powerful man in Country P but that doesn''t give him the assurance. No
matter how formidable and powerful his force to reckon with, but the thought of his family made him
persevere to achieve the greater new heights.
"You and our cubs are equally important to me. I could simply fake it and say yes to you but work
behind your back but Veronica, that''s not me. I have always wanted to be honest with you. I can''t. I just
couldn''t. Even just the thought of prioritizing either your or our cubs more than the
other is repulsive to me. I can''t do ..-"
Rawlf wasn''t able to finish his words as Veronica suddenly embracing him on his waist took him
aback. He sighed and gently caressed her hair while kissing the top in the process.
The couple stayed like that for another minute before Veronica broke the silence.
"I understand. Thank you for everything you''ve done and for everything in the future. Do whatever
makes you feel at peace andforted."
Veronica knew what Rawlf felt.
It''s exactly how she feels for their cubs. If in her case, just the mere thought of prioritizing either
one of the twins, Veronica shiverred involuntarily.
