The next day, the weather was fine and sunny. Sally got up early to have breakfast with Dominic.
Dominic sat at the table and couldn''t help but nce at the stairs. "Where''s Juju?"
Logically, he should address Judy as "Mrs. Reid", but thinking of rk''s attitude towards Judy,
somehow, he couldn''t bring himself to call her that.
"Why are you bringing her up so early in the morning? She''s jinxed." Sally put a peeled egg on the
te in front of Dominic. "Dom, eat the egg."
Dominic frowned. "Mom, please treat Judy nicer in the future. She''s not having an easy time."
Hearing this, Sally''s expression turned unhappy. "You just came back from abroad, you don''t know

Dominic''s frown deepened, surprised by this revtion.
Just as they were talking, the sound of footsteps came from the living room. It was Judy, getting
ready to leave.
Sally heard it and took a look. Her face immediately fell. "Everyone is up, you''re thetest. You''re a
good-for-nothing who can''t do anything right! Such azy bum!"
Judy stood silently, gesturing. "Sorry."
"Who can understand what you''re saying?" Sally snapped.
"Where are you going so early in the morning?"
"Hospital." Judy wrote in her notebook.
Sally looked annoyed. "You always go to the hospital. Do you know how many germs you bring
back?"
She said this without realizing that Dominic was a doctor, spending much more time in the hospital
than Judy. He encountered more patients and was exposed to more germs.
Seeing Judy being scolded, Dominic immediately stood up and intervened. "Mom, I''m done eating."
"You''re done? Have some more, Dom."
"No, thanks." Dominic picked up his coat draped over the back of the chair and casually said, "Judy,
I happen to need to talk to you about your grandma''s surgery. Let me drive you to the hospital."
Judy nodded hurriedly. The top priority was to get away from Sally, or else she might get scolded all
day long and wouldn''t be able to make it to the hospital.
"What…" Sally couldn''t stop Dominic. She couldn''t be too harsh on Judy in front of him, so she was
forced to watch them leave one after the other.
"That damn mute! Dom must be crazy to stand up for her."
Lora, setting the table nearby, said, "Ma''am, you''ve to be on alert. Mr. Reid doesn''t care about Judy
but Mr. Phelps is a good-natured and kind-hearted man. It''s hard to say if this mute will harbor other
thoughts."
Upon hearing this, Sally skipped a beat. "How dare she! If she dares to seduce my son, I''ll chase
her out from the Reid manor!"

Dominic nced at it and praised, "Your handwriting is very beautiful."
Judy continued to write. "I appreciate your help just now."
"It was my mom''s fault. Don''t take it to heart." Dominic apologized while driving, holding the steering
wheel.
"My mom is a bit stubborn, she can be harsh to non-family members. If she offended you in any
way, I apologize on her behalf."
Judy looked at the man in front of her. Dominic was handsome and gentle. It was a far cry from
Sally''s sharp and bitter demeanor. It would be hard to imagine that he was Sally''s son.
"By the way, I heard that it was your sister who was supposed to marry rk?"
Judy was slightly taken aback and nodded slowly.
