The result is an oddball book which is both slow burn and also an action adventure.Emulating vintage portal fiction such as “Stranger from the Depths” (1967) this subterranean adventure takes place in real space and time; a midwest mining town in 1952.Love interests reflect the historical time frame and the young age of the MC’s.
