Chapter 42
Cain POV
Cain is currently sitting in a restaurant in front of a woman, he received a message from her that he
needed to know something. At first he ignored it because he had no ns to give that time but what he
wondered was how the sender got his number. It sent him a message several times over and over
again and one of them caught his attention attached to the message that the person knew what had
happened to his friend Jewel so he didn’t hesitate to meet with that person.

"It''s good that you epted my invitation," the woman said
"Who are you? What do you know?" the young man asked directly
The womanughed because of this. "I guess you''re in a hurry to find out, are you ready to get hurt by
what you will find out Cain?"
"Who are you really? I''m not kidding, so if you don''t have to say I''ll leave," he said.
But before he could leave, the woman suddenly spoke again, which stopped him. "Don''t you want to
know the truth about what happened to Thunder and why he did that to Jewel? Don''t you want to know
who did it?"
Cain immediately returned to his seat. "What do you know?"
"Do you know Monique?" the girl question
"Don''t involve my girlfriend here," the young man threatened
"Chill, I haven''t said anything yet. I''m not a fool to meet you without knowing anything, I won''t waste my
time for nothing."
"What do you really know? Just say it now, I don''t wanna waste my time on a nonsense thing," the
young man losing his patience now.
The woman immediately took a photograph from her bag. "You see this? This is Alexa, she is one of
the ex-fling of your friend who happens to be the husband of Jewel. You know what happened a few
years ago, right. She put a drug in Thunder''s drink so he did that dirty thing to Jewel. And do you know
who did that or whomanded Alexa to that thing? "
"Who?" Cain asked, wanting to know the truth about what happened a few years ago.
"Monique," the woman replied shortly.
"Don''t y games with me, woman!" He is now angry
"And why would I? Do you think I''m ying games with you? Com''on Cain, I know you won''t just
believe what I''m going to say. Look at this," the woman said and handed something to him.
"See? Alexa and Monique are cousins, ''cause the proof is in front of you. She ordered Alexa to destroy
Thunder and Jewel''s marriage because she wanted revenge for what happened to Daven."
Cain was shaken several times because he couldn’t believe that the woman he loved was to me for
why his friend broke down, the woman he trusted so much was the reason why Jewel suffered and
almost went crazy.
"And if you think she loves you Cain, you''re wrong. That''s still part of her n. She pretends to be
interested in you so she can get closer to Jewel and do what she wants. She just used you Cain. If you

Cain epted it and pressed the y button, he heard his girlfriend talking on the other line. And what
broke his heart was what he heard from here saying that she would only use Cain to get close to Jewel.
The young man hardly knew how he would react to what he had seen and heard.
The woman grabbed her bag and stood up. "It''s up to you now Cain if you will believe what I said to
you or not. I just told the truth, so you won''t be fooled," She said and walked away from the restaurant.
Cain was still unable to move and several times closed his eyes as his two fists clenched in anger.
He didn’t know what to do, he couldn’t bear to think that Monique would be able to talk to them
especially to Jewel as if nothing had been done wrong to her, who you thought hadn’t ruined her life.
He quickly got up and went out of the restaurant, he needed to talk to Monique, he wanted everything
toe out of her own mouth. He wants to know the truth.
Margaux POV
I’m already in my car now, so much happiness I feel now because I can see the anger in Cain’s eyes
because of what he found out.
Poor Monique, she deserves it for being ungrateful to me. After all I have done to her, she will leave
me, if she thought it was that easy she was wrong. The person she chose to turn her back on was
wrong, let''s see now she faces Cain now.
She quickly picked up her phone and called Monique.
"What do you need, Marga?"
"What''s with the question Monique? I just want to call you and say hello, you know it''s been a long time
since west met." she said
"Don''t fool me Marga, I know you! Why did you call?"
"Chill, Hahahaha! You''re so hot -headed. I just want to remind you that the day is near, and you know
what it is."
"How many times have I told you Marga that I don''t want to interfere in your ns, I''m out there. I don''t
want to get involved!"
"You''ve been involved in this for a long time Monique, from the very beginning you agreed to help me
