Rei, who had been silently observing, finally decide to spoke up. ¡°Even though Takeda¡¯s a loudmouth and an idiot, for once his got a point.¡± She said her words intended as an insult towards him as Takeda did not take it kindly. ¡°What did you say, huh?¡± Takeda snapped. Rei shrugged, unperturbed. ¡°It¡¯s just that. I don¡¯t have anything against Hiroshi or anything, but I don¡¯t think it be a good idea to let him walk around freely, as he just please.¡± Yumi nodded her head, acknowledging their concerns. ¡°I know, that¡¯s why he¡¯ll be accompanied by Matsumoto and Akio. Which should make things a lot safer.¡± Whit that Rei had stepped down, conceding. ¡°Okay, then I guess there¡¯s no reason to worry.¡± Takeda, still fuming, grumbled, ¡°Didn¡¯t take much to convince you, now did it. Still I think it¡¯s a bad idea.¡± Hiroshi then interjected while smirking. ¡°Jeez, I don¡¯t see what¡¯s so complicated about this. If you people want me to betray you, then give me a good reason to. Otherwise, keep me well-fed and entertained, and I see absolutely no reason to go throw the trouble of betraying you.¡± In addition, Rei could not help but tease Takeda, ¡°The only reason I could give you for betray us, is having to see Takeda¡¯s ugly face and hear his annoying voice all day.¡± Takeda did not take the joke well, cursing under his breath. ¡°If you don¡¯t like it your free to leave whenever you want, you bitch.¡± Back in the present Hiroshi, Matsumoto and Akio continued their tour, visiting several iconic spots of Shibuya City. During the visit Hiroshi was in high spirits, as his earlier complains forgotten as he immersed himself in the sights and sounds if the bustling city. However, amidst the crowed, Hiroshi suddenly sensed something was off. An odd presences lurking within the shadows, watching his every movement. His senses heightened, alerted to the slightest change, but he carried on with the tour, masking any sign that something was wrong. Then without warning, Hiroshi suddenly bolted, sprinting through the crowded streets. Matsumoto startled by the abrupt move, ¡°Hiroshi!¡± he called out after him, urgency lacing his voice. However, Hiroshi didn¡¯t look back¡ªdriven by curiosity and by an unshakable instinct, he followed an invisible trail, ignoring everything else around him. "Screw this, let''s see what the hell is going on here," his thoughts raced, his feet pounding the pavement beneath him, determined to uncover whatever was pulling him forward. As he chased down the mysterious presence, he soon made his way to an abandoned warehouse. As he entered, the air around him grew colder, the shadows thickening with an eerie silence. ¡°I bid you welcome, Hiroshi Yamaguchi,¡± a voice echoed, chilling him to the bone ¡°Welcome to your grave, ha.¡± A man shrouded in a black robe emerged from the darkness, his face hidden but his presences menacing. Hiroshi¡¯s eyes locked onto the figure his senses where on high alert, as he prepared himself tensing his muscle, for whatever would come next. As a fierce battle was about to begin. End of the 6th Chapter. Chapter 7: A Day in Tokyo (Part 2) Hiroshi found himself in an abandoned warehouse, face to face with a mysterious man dressed in a black robe. The dim light cast eerie shadows heightening the tension, and as spoke his anger boiled within him, ¡°Don¡¯t you there call me that. That name only belongs to him, and I don¡¯t want it, nor do I need it¡± The man then suddenly burst into laughter. ¡°Hahahaha! Really? Well that¡¯s quite alright, cause you see, you won¡¯t need it once you¡¯re dead.¡± In that moment, Hiroshi suddenly heard a voice whispering in his head, growing louder and more insistent whit each second. ¡°Watch out, watch out, watch out, Look out!¡± Within an instant, a strong gust of wind suddenly appeared, and Hiroshi instinctively shifted his body to the other side. And that¡¯s when a huge cut appeared on the wall behind him, blood began pouring down his cheek. Hiroshi was in shock, ¡®What was that¡¯ he wondered. ¡®Where did that cut come from¡¯ as he tried to comprehend that had just happened. The man then congratulated Hiroshi for dodging his attack ¡°Well done Hiroshi, I¡¯m impressed,¡± he said, as he clapped his hands. Hiroshi, still in confusion, gathered his thoughts. He had then realized that the man was an elemental. Elementals were rare individuals with supernatural ability¡¯s, and Hiroshi had heard rumors of their existence, by had never come across one before. ¡®So, this guys an elemental, huh? And one that seems to have control over the wind.¡¯ Hiroshi wondered, as he wiped the blood off his cheek, after taking a fighting stance. ¡®Alright, let¡¯s see what his maid of.¡¯ And in that moment, with a smile on his face, the man finally decided to attack. As he rushed forward, heading straight towards Hiroshi. Hiroshi bracing himself, as the man kept on closing the distance between them. However, at the last second, the man suddenly throw himself in the other direction. And as Hiroshi turned his head following the man¡¯s movements, only to find the man standing in mid-air. The man then leaped towards Hiroshi, slashing and injuring him. He then began to move with unbelievable agility and speed, slashing Hiroshi from every directions. As he could feel each of the man¡¯s attacks cutting into him, as blood began dripping from his wounds. The man then landed on the wall behind Hiroshi, and leaped off it, attacking him from behind. However Hiroshi anticipated this. Twisting his body, he prepared himself to strake back, but the man evaded his attack. Hiroshi observing his movements, he then suddenly noticed the glint of strings all over him. ¡°You¡¯re using strings to move yourself around?¡± he said, puzzled. ¡°But why would an elemental who manipulates wind need to use strings?¡± The man then began explaining, ¡°Although I am an elemental, I¡¯m afraid I don¡¯t have full control over my own power just yet, but I can still do a lot of damage with these.¡± He said, as he suddenly released an attack, shouting, ¡°WIND BLADE!¡± and a huge blade of wind came flying straight at Hiroshi. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. Hiroshi quickly ducked, barley dodging the attack. However the blade cut through the warehouse¡¯s iron structured, causing the whole facility to crumble. Metal pipes, debris falling from the sky, some even almost hitting Hiroshi, but he managed to dodged all of them. The man laughed. ¡°Ha! Is that really all you¡¯ve got? I¡¯m truly disappointed.¡± He said, taunting Hiroshi. Hiroshi on the ground stood up, blood spilling his head, however a smile formed on his face. ¡°Hmph, if I know any better, I¡¯d say you¡¯re enjoying our little time together,¡± he taunted. ¡°Besides, is that really all you¡¯ve got? Cause I was expecting a lot more.¡± Hiroshi then said, ¡°Well, if that¡¯s all you¡¯ve got, then I think it¡¯s time we put an end to our little session.¡± And that¡¯s when Hiroshi vanished, only to be found moving the same way the man did, using the strings to his advantage. ¡°Let me give you a word of advice,¡± Hiroshi said as he kept on moving. ¡°When you¡¯re using a weapon, make sure it works to your advantage, and not your disvantages.¡± As he then appeared standing behind the man. ¡°Because it could end poorly,¡± he whispered, into the man¡¯s ear. The man spooked, leaped into the air, putting same distance between them. But Hiroshi smiled. ¡°Bad move,¡± he said. And with a swift movement of his hands, Hiroshi controlled all the strings around him, grabbing a hold of the man in mid-air. Trapped the man yelled in pain as the strings cutting though his cloths piercing his flesh. ¡°Agh! How did you¡¡± the man asked writhing in pain. Hiroshi replied, ¡°I told you, remember? When you¡¯re using a weapon, make sure it works to your advantage and not to your disadvantage. Besides, a true magician never reveals his tricks. Now, how about you tell me just who the hell sent you after me?¡± Hiroshi then began pulling the strings tighter, piercing the man¡¯s flesh even further, "AAARRGH!" he yelled, the pain more intense with each second. ¡°Who sent you? Answer me!¡± he demanded, pulling the string header. The man yelled in even more pain, and with a huge burst of wind, he destroyed all the strings around him. Landing on his feet, he then launched a massive wave of wind blade right at Hiroshi. And Hiroshi, with no time to defend himself, he braced himself. Muttered, under his breath. ¡°Shit,¡± All the blades meeting their mark. And in that moment, the man thought he had killed Hiroshi, but to his surprise, Hiroshi was completely unharmed by his attack. Hiroshi, too, was surprised. ¡°You alright?¡± asked Matsumoto, appearing right behind him. ¡°Yeah, thanks,¡± Hiroshi replied. ¡°Don¡¯t thank me, thank her,¡± Matsumoto said, nodding his head towards Akio, appearing standing right beside Hiroshi. The man, bewildered by their appearance, asked, ¡°Who the hell are you people!¡± Akio then raised her left arm, to use her ability, reveling herself as an elemental. Lifted the man into the air, and began tossing him around like a rag doll. To the left, the right, up and then straight down, slamming him into the ground. Hiroshi amazed, could only say, ¡°Whoa, not bad.¡± Hiroshi then approached the man, ¡°Let¡¯s try this again shall we, who sent you after me? Was it the mafia?¡± The man laughed, ¡°Ha! You don¡¯t know anything,¡± and spat on Hiroshi¡¯s face. Hiroshi, enraged, kicked him in the face, knocking him out cold. And after the fight, they all tied up the man. ¡°So what are we going to do with him?¡± Hiroshi asked ¡°Nothing, the Special Police will handle this,¡± Matsumoto replied ¡®Special Police?¡¯ Hiroshi wondered. ¡°Time to go. The tour¡¯s over,¡± Matsumoto said. ¡°Huh? No way! I haven¡¯t even had a chance to have any local cuisine yet,¡± Hiroshi said, protesting. Akio, amused by the idea, nodded her head, as she agreed without saying a word. But Matsumoto remind firm. ¡°No¡± he said. As they all left the scene, leaving the man behind, only for the special police to take care of him. End of the 7th Chapter. Chapter 8: The Beginning of a War With the end of the tour, Hiroshi, Matsumoto, and Akio all returned to Shadow Vigil¡¯s Headquarters. Hiroshi however was still irritated, as his brows furrowed as he brooded in silence. Takeda, noticing Hiroshi¡¯s mood asked, ¡°Huh? What¡¯s his problem?¡± Dr. Nakamura, tending to Hiroshi¡¯s recent wound, chuckled. ¡°Oh, His just sad he didn¡¯t get a chance to fully explore Tokyo, or the fact that he didn¡¯t get to taste any local cuisine either.¡± Takeda walked over to Hiroshi, and began teasing him, ¡°Aww is the big baby sad he didn¡¯t get to play today?¡± Hiroshi, however, was fast asleep, completely ignoring Takeda. ¡°HEY! DON¡¯T YOU IGNORE ME, YOU BASTERD!¡± Takeda shouted, his voice filled with irritation. Dr. Nakamura released a light sigh, however, Hiroshi was only pretending to be fast asleep, ¡®What a pain.¡¯ Hiroshi thought, avoiding any confrontation with Takeda. Meanwhile, Matsumoto reported to Director Yumi all about the incident at the abandoned warehouse involving Hiroshi and the mysterious elemental that had attacked him. ¡°To conclude my report. The elemental was to the special police to handle,¡± he concluded. In that moment Yumi was concord with the situation. ¡®Just who could have targeted Hiroshi? Could it have been?¡¯ She wondered. And in that moment Kai then suddenly appeared, ¡°Hey guys gather the others, there¡¯s something you¡¯ll want to see.¡± Moments later, the whole team was gathered, and once they were all together, Kai used his computer to bring up a video on the screen. ¡°Remember that thing you asked me to do, well I did call the special police to pick up the guy who had attacked Hiroshi, just like you asked. They should have taken him to prison by now, but then I found this.¡± He then played the footage from a surveillance camera. It showed a special police van which was transporting the elemental. Suddenly, a man in a black jacket appeared, standing in the middle of the road. ¡°What¡¯s that guy doing?¡± Rei asked, puzzled by the man¡¯s actions. ¡°Looks like someone¡¯s in the mood to be road-killed.¡± Takeda quipped. Hiroshi, however then said. ¡°I don¡¯t think so.¡± If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. And on the video, the van suddenly flipped over, stopping right at the man¡¯s feet. And that¡¯s when the officers inside the van got out and tried to confront the man, but were swiftly killed. Releasing the elemental from the van, the man then faced the camera with a smile on his face after destroying it. ¡°Hey, rewind the footage to that last again,¡± Hiroshi instructed Kai. As Kai did so, stopping at the point where the man faced the camera. ¡°Hey! Would you look who it is, I know that guy,¡± Hiroshi said, a grin expression on his face. ¡°His name is Kaito Ren, and his with the mafia.¡± Takeda and Matsumoto then exchanged glances. ¡°And just how do you too know each other¡± Takeda asked. Hiroshi¡¯s eyes narrowed. ¡°Oh we went on a few mission together, however that doesn¡¯t make us friends or anything.¡± Rei nodded. ¡°Then the mafia were the ones who sent that guy after Hiroshi.¡± Kai fingers then flew over the keyboards. ¡°Not exactly. That guy was actually a mercenary. ¡± He said, as he uploaded a picture of Hiroshi on the screen ¨C a wanted poster of Hiroshi with bounty of 10 million yen. ¡°This bounty was placed on Hiroshi¡¯s head.¡± ¡°Really, by who?¡± Rei asked. ¡°It seem to have been placed by the mafia, and it was on the same day we had rescued him from them.¡± ¡°Seriously but how, that was 6 days ago.¡± Rei said, puzzled Hiroshi¡¯s eyes widened in surprise. ¡°Wow, I didn¡¯t think they missed me that much if they¡¯re willing to invest that much money on me.¡± Yumi then stepped forward, her voice firm. ¡°Even so, this changes nothing! After all we were expecting something like this would happen, and that¡¯s way we have even more reason to confront them now. So let¡¯s give them one hell of a show.¡± The room echoed with a resounding ¡°Ma¡¯am!¡± For Shadow Vigil, this was the beginning of their war. Later that evening, in their room, Matsumoto and Takeda prepared themselves for bed. Takeda however was still concord with the way Director Yumi was treating Hiroshi. As he then turned to Matsumoto, ¡°Hey, how can we be so sure it all be okay¡± he asked Matsumoto reading his book, ¡°What you mean¡± he asked back, puzzled by Takeda¡¯s question. ¡°I¡¯m talking about Hiroshi, for we know he could be out there, ready to betray us at any god given moment.¡± Takeda said, still wavering on whiter or not they should put there trust on Hiroshi. Matsumoto on the other had remind clam. "There¡¯s no need for you to worry. We have a way of keeping track of all his movements. So we''ll know where he''ll be if he ever decides to betray us." Takeda sighed still uneasy. "Not that I care but speaking of Hiroshi, where the hell do you think he is now?" Meanwhile, in the middle of night, Hiroshi stood atop of the Tokyo Sky tree. As the city sprawled out beneath him, a sea of light twinkling within the darkness, marveling the view with each passing second. "I know it," Hiroshi muttered to himself. "The view from up here really is amazing." Atop the tower, he held a small device in his hand, it was tracking device Shadow Vigil had installed in him, while he was unconscious. "Hmm... guess I''ll just hold on to this for now," he said, as he putted the tracker away. He then pulled out a necklace with a ring attached to it. "This is only the begging." he muttered to himself, his eyes filled with determination. And as he gazed out over the city, Hiroshi felt a mix of emotions, anticipation and resolve. As the path ahead of him was unkown, however he was determined to face whatever challenges that lay ahead. Determind to carve his own path. End of the 8th Chapter. Chapter 9: A Glimpse of the Past ¡°Who am I?¡± ¡°You are Hiroshi, Hiroshi Yamagachi.¡± Within his childhood, Hiroshi was trained each and every day by the mafia to become an formable assassin. ¡°What am I?¡± ¡°You are a weapon.¡± Killing foe after foe, the scent of blood, and violence filled his life, bullets piercing the flesh of his enemies, the metallic sound of bullet shells hitting the ground, as he stood in a sea of his enemy¡¯s blood. ¡°What is my purpose?¡± ¡°Your one and only purpose is to complete your mission, no matter the cost.¡± Coldly reminded that his only purpose in life is to complete his mission at any cost. As he stood atop a mountain of corpses. This was his life. ¡°You are a killer; whose sole reason for living is to kill all those who stand in your way.¡± Admits these gruesome memories, images of his mother¡¯s death flashed before his eyes. His inner demon, whispering cruelly, "You''re propose to strong, huh? Yeah right. You''re weak, you¡¯re pathetic, you''re the reason she''s dead. You practically killed her yourself. You murderer." Hiroshi then suddenly awoke from his nightmare, gasping for air. Witnessing a glimpse of the past. He had found himself in an unfamiliar empty room, bathed in a bright light. "Ahh... why is it so bright? And where am I?" he wondered as he got up from bed. As he look around, memoires of his recent events floured back into his mind: His escape from the underground solitary confinement, his battle with Matsumoto, joining Shadow Vigil, his tour of Tokyo, and his fight with the elemental. All these events flashed before his eyes within an instant, "Oh yeah, so I guess it wasn''t a dream after all. Heh, I''m actually glad," he muttered to himself. He then got out of bed and began doing some light exercises, followed, a bath. Emerging from the bathroom, remarking his surrounding, "Man, I haven''t had a warm bath in forever, not to mention a room of my own. At least not one this clean." Then suddenly, he began hearing a strange ringing noise and got startled. "Huh! What¡¯s that noise?¡± The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. He spotted that it was a phone ringing ¡°Oh, it''s just the phone... wait, what bottom do I press to answer again?" he said struggling with the device itself. After finally answering it, he then heard Director Yumi''s voice on the other side of the phone. "Hello, Hiroshi, sleep well? How do you like your new lodging?" "It''s alright, I guess. However, I have to say, you sure have introduced me to quite the lavish dormitory. Anyway, why are you calling me?" Hiroshi replied. "We need you for an emergency mission, so I need you at HQ immediately, Understand? You remember where it is, don''t you?" Yumi asked. Hiroshi acknowledging Yumi''s orders, but did not agree. "Okay, but can I at least have some breakfast first? Because you don''t expect me to run around on an empty stomach, do you?" Yumi hanged up ending the call "Hmm... Guess that answers my question," He muttered to himself. Hiroshi prepared himself and stepped out of his new apartment, heading straight for Shadow Vigil¡¯s hideout. In addition, as he walked through the quiet streets of the Suginami Ward, the hum of distant traffic mingled with the soft rustle of trees along the narrow road, a gentle reminder of the pleasant weather. As a calm breeze brushed past him, and, for a brief moment, a sense of comforted filled his mind, putting him at ease. Moreover, as he continued on foot, Hiroshi made his way to Ogikubo Station, where he stood waiting for the train. While he waited, two children suddenly appeared, chasing each other around in circles around him. In addition, without warning, one of the children stumbled too close to the platform¡¯s edge, tumbling onto the tracks just as the train approached. In addition, with a swift, practiced motion, Hiroshi grabbed the boy by the collar and yanked him out of harm¡¯s way, saving his life just in time. No one else had seemed to notice it, but the boy stared at Hiroshi, realizing what had just happened. As the train doors slid open, Hiroshi released him, nudging the boy away with a firm push, causing him to stumble slightly. With a sharp look, he scolded, ¡°Are you stupid or something? Kids like you shouldn¡¯t wander around by themselves.¡± The boy¡¯s mother then rushed over, frowning as she helped her son up. ¡°What do you think you¡¯re doing to my child? He¡¯s just a little boy!¡± she reprimanded, her voice tight with anger. However, Hiroshi only glanced at her dismissively, stepping into the train without a word. Moreover, as the doors closed, the boy tugged at his mother¡¯s sleeve, trying to explain how Hiroshi had just saved him, but she just looked at him puzzled, disbelief as the train pulled away towards Shinjuku. Once he arrived at Shinjuku, Hiroshi exited the train and continued on walking until he reached an old, abandoned library hidden in a neglected corner of the district. Stepping inside the dusty, dimly lit building, scanning the shelves, he pulled one of the books, revealing a hidden elevator. Clicked open he entered the elevator then lead him down to Shadow Vigil¡¯s main base located beneath the library itself. The elevator doors opened, and as he exited the elevator, he made his way for meeting room where Director Yumi was waiting for him, a small smile on her face as she greeted him. ¡°Hiroshi Yamaguchi, welcome to Shadow Vigil,¡± she said smoothly. ¡°So, ready to get started?¡± Hiroshi then interrupted her, saying, "It''s Hiro." Yumi, confused, asked, "What do you mean?" "My name is Hiro, Hiro Takashi, so I¡¯d remember it if I were you" he said, as he pulled out an elastic bam from his pocket, tying his hair back. Revealing the fiery determination in his crimson eyes. End of the 9th Chapter. End of the First Volume To be continued in the II Volume. Chapter 10: The First Mission Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. th Chapter. Chapter 11: The Mission in Shinjuku Hiro stood outside a dimly lit factory on the outskirts of the Shinjuku district, recalling the instructions Director Yumi gave him before he had left HQ. She had provided him with a swift but detailed briefing of the mission.
¡°Now remember, Hiro,¡± she said, her tone firm, ¡°Your objective in this, is to retrieve the original criminal organization documents related to the sales of illegal weapons. If possible, gather any valuable intel on the organization itself. But under no circumstances are you to directly engage the enemy, not unless it¡¯s absolutely necessary.¡± ¡°Fiiiine, whatever you say, boss. Jeez,¡± Hiro replied with a smirk under his mask, his tone casual despite the mission''s importance. Rei, standing beside Yumi, interjected. ¡°The base is located within Shinjuku, and it¡¯s heavily guarded. You¡¯ll need to sneak inside, find the boss¡¯s office, and retrieve the documents from a safe located inside. Easy, right?¡± Hiro rolled his eyes and removed his mask. ¡°Yeah, you¡¯re right it is easy. Easy to forget everything you just said, that is,¡± he muttered. Rei frowned, but before she could respond, Director Yumi cut in, her voice serious. ¡°This isn¡¯t a game, Hiro. Those documents could contain crucial information about their plans, motives, and allies. We can¡¯t afford to let this slip by.¡± Seeing the gravity in her expression, Hiro met her gaze and nodded, his usual aloofness giving way to his resolve. ¡°Alright, alright. Let¡¯s just get this over with.¡±
Back to the Present Hiro shook off the flashback and refocused on the mission on hand. Crawling through the factory¡¯s ventilation system, he carefully navigated throw the narrow shafts. Below, he suddenly overheard two guards talking. ¡°Can you believe it? They¡¯re planning on expanding the operation overseas. Soon, we¡¯ll be unstoppable,¡± one guard, whispered. ¡°Yeah, and with the government contacts we¡¯ve got, no one will even see it coming,¡± the other smugly replied. Hiro smirked in the shadows. ¡®So, they¡¯re widening their reach huh¡ Guess Yumi was right; this is bigger than we thought.¡¯ Continuing through the shafts, he found a grate above a corridor and silently slid it open. Dropping down, he moved swiftly through the factory¡¯s lit halls. Suddenly, footsteps echoed from around the corner. Pressing himself flat against the wall, Hiro took a quick peek. Two guards were approaching his location. ¡®Only two? Should I take them out?¡¯ he wondered, feeling his inner demon¡¯s temptation rise. ¡°Just kill the both them,¡± it whispered. Hiro shook his head. ¡°I better not take the risk.¡± As the guards approached, he took a few steps back, crouched low, and then sprinted forward. Timing his move perfectly, he ran up the wall and launched himself over their heads, landing silently behind them. One of the guards glanced back, puzzled. ¡°Did you just hear something?¡± ¡°Nah, must¡¯ve been one of the pipes,¡± his partner replied. Moving swiftly down the hallway, he spotted two more guards stationed outside a door. ¡°That must be where they¡¯re keeping the safe and the files,¡± he whispered to himself. He considered his options, and then sighed. ¡°Guess I¡¯m done sneaking around.¡± If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. He stepped out of hiding and into view, charging straight for the guards. ¡°What the¡ª?! Where the hell did you come from?!¡± one shouted, raising his gun and aiming it straight at Hiro. But before he could fire, Hiro was already on him. Grabbing the guard¡¯s arm, he twisted it, sending the gun clattering to the ground. With his free hand, he delivered a swift punch to the guard¡¯s jaw, knocking him out. The second guard lunged, knife in hand, aiming for Hiro¡¯s ribs. However, the blade did not pierce his body. ¡°What the¡ªstab-proof?¡± the guard stammered. ¡°Surprised?¡± Hiro asked, grabbing the man by the collar and delivering a brutal head-butt. The guard slumped to the floor, unconscious. Stepping over their bodies, Hiro reached for the door handle. ¡°Locked, huh?¡± Without missing a beat, he kicked it open. ¡°Well, now it¡¯s open.¡± Inside, he spotted the safe. And with practiced skill, he cracked it open, revealing a stack of classified documents. ¡°Is this it?¡± he muttered to himself, grabbing the files. Then he suddenly, sensed someone behind him. ¡°Well, well¡ look what we have here,¡± a voice sneered. Hiro felt the cold barrel of a gun press against the back of his head. The unmistakable click echoed in his ear. ¡°Now, play nice and put your hands in the air.¡± He slowly began raising his hands, a calm smile on his face. ¡°Do you really think you can pull the trigger fast enough?¡± The gunman hesitated. And in a flash, Hiro pivoted on his heel, dodging the line of fire. He seized the guard¡¯s wrist, twisting it, and wrenched the gun away before delivering a powerful elbow to the man¡¯s face. The guard crumpled to the ground. As Hiro pocketed the documents in his bag, and turned to leave, the factory erupted with the blaring sound of alarms. Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he muttered, ¡°Guess it¡¯s time to go.¡± He slipped on his mask, and sprinted towards the back exit, weaving through the hallways. Just as he rounded a corner, three guards appeared in his path. ¡°There he is!¡± one of them shouted, raising his gun. Hiro barely had a moment to react before a bullet came flying straight for his face. Instinct taking over¡ªhe twisted his body just in time, the bullet grazing past his mask. Without missing a beat, he lunged forward, closing the distance in an instant. Before the first guard could fire another shot, Hiro grabbed the barrel of his gun, twisting it out of his grip. In one swift motion, he fieldstripped the weapon, dismantling it in mere seconds. The guard¡¯s eyes widened in shock. ¡°What the¡ªhow the hell did you¡ª¡± Hiro didn¡¯t give him time to finish. He drove his knee into the man¡¯s gut, knocking the wind out of him, then delivered a crushing elbow to the back of his head, sending him crashing to the ground. Before he could react, another guard grabbed him from behind, locking him in a full nelson, restricting his arms. ¡°Tch¡ªhow annoying,¡± Hiro muttered under his breath. The third guard wasted no time, raising his dagger high in the air before bringing it down, aiming straight for Hiro¡¯s head. Thinking fast, Hiro yanked his legs up, using the force to lift himself off the ground. With his feet pressed against the second guard¡¯s legs, he kicked off with full strength, sending both of them tumbling backward. As they hit the ground, Hiro twisted his body mid-fall, landing on top of his captor. He wrenched free of the hold and slammed his elbow into the man¡¯s temple, knocking him out cold. The last guard, still recovering from the failed stab attempt, lunged again¡ªbut Hiro was faster. He caught the man¡¯s wrist, twisted it sharply, forcing the dagger from his grasp, he then spun and drove a sharp kick to the side of his head, knocking him unconscious. The remaining guard, who had grabbed him earlier, groaned and pushed himself up. ¡°You little shit¡ª¡± Hiro cut him off by raising his knee and driving it straight into the man''s groin. The guard let out a strangled gasp, his entire body seizing up in pain. ¡°Night-night,¡± Hiro muttered, delivering a final spinning kick to the side of his head, rendering him unconscious. He exhaled sharply, rolling his shoulders. ¡°What a pain¡ so much for keeping a low profile.¡± Rushing to the back entrance, he froze. As a sudden vision struck him, a foresight of himself getting shot twice, once in the leg and once in the head. ¡°Shit.¡± He muttered, as he quickly sprang himself backward just as two bullets pierced the floor where he had been standing moments ago. His eyes shot up, scanning the area. On the factory¡¯s overhead catwalk, a sniper adjusted his aim, already preparing to fire again. ¡°Damn, looks like they were expecting me.¡± Just then, he found himself surrounded by a large group of heavily armed guards. The leader of the group then stepped forward, clapping his hands mockingly. ¡°Well, well, look what we have here. A little rat sneaking around our turf,¡± he sneered. ¡°A little birdy told me you¡¯d be coming, so we prepared a warm welcome. Oh, and by the way, you can lose the mask, kid.¡± ¡°What?¡± Hiro muttered, taken aback. The man grinned. ¡°That¡¯s right. I know exactly who you are¡ Hiroshi Yamaguchi.¡± Hiro slowly pulled off his mask, clicking his tongue in irritation. ¡°Well, this sure got a whole lot interesting.¡± End of the 11th Chapter.
