《I DIED A LONG TIME AGO》 COST EFFECTIVE ALGORIS VERTID I walked up the stairway carrying a box to my apartment the bustling city surrounding me, the sounds then disappearing as I stepped into the apartment silence greeting me. I brought my box over to the counter top, placing it down, and removing the items from the box, organizing as I went. Everything''s accounted for, I¡¯ll check up on my emails make sure I haven''t missed anything important. I then walked into my office, and woke up my PC inputting it¡¯s password, seeing two emails one from Zepin, and another from a customer. Zepin is most likely talking about something none important or else he would have called me. I then brought my courser over the customers email, and clicked. ¡°Hey, Algoris I heard the news and I was just wondering if you where going to finished that project I commissioned.¡± I brought up the code for the car. This project is more of just a fixer up, the original coders where either incredibly stupid unlikely but possible or a clustered schedule made a mess of this, still I don¡¯t understand why this person wants to fix it, the car has long out lived it¡¯s resale value, it isn¡¯t a popular model or brand, but for what ever reason he insists on fixing it even at the expense of some large funds. This shouldn¡¯t be my concern, he¡¯s paying me, and it¡¯s his car the inner workings of his mind are of no concern to me. ¡°Yes, it shouldn¡¯t take me long give me two day¡¯s the second day is to be safe in the event of something unforeseen.¡± I then hit send, and went to the next massage, and just as I clicked on it he sent one back. I reopened it. ¡°Ok, thanks for the update.¡± Must have been waiting at his computer¡ He puts way to much time into something that serves no benefit to him, he could be doing better things. I then proceeded back down to Zepins email. ¡°Hey Algoris, how¡¯s it going. Yeah theirs really no good way to start this.¡± My eyes glazed past the majority of the text. ¡°Anyways me and the crew miss ya, hope you at least visit sometime or you know tell us where you live or plan to live so we can come up there, but your probably not gonna do that, at least stay in contact with Mum, you may be an adult, but she is still legally your parent.¡± I closed the email, and continued to sit down in my chair. Continuing contact with the group would be risky for me, even if they are a great asset to have around. I¡¯m retiring they are no longer necessary nor am I necessary to them, this is for the best. They seem to have a tendency to want to connect with people though, even if it doesn''t make sense, like when they picked me up out in the forest. I¡¯ll never understand why they did that, it was so risky for them, especially when I showed aggression. I checked the time. I got thirty minutes before I need to go. I realigned my keyboard, and worked on the code, fixing hacks, and bugs, and when I looked back at the clock it was time for me to depart. I immediately got up grabbing my bag that I packed yesterday, and immediately went out the door. School is going to be bothersome since it¡¯s going to tear into my schedule, but if it gets me my citizenship easily without anyone batting an eye at me then I¡¯ll take it. I walked down the staircase to the platform, making my way over to the train station, as people all began to swarm out of there residences, taking over what little space there was. They really need to expand this platform especially with the influx of people here. The train then pulled in just as the swarm of people began descending upon the station, the doors flinging open just as it stopped. I walked inside and found a seat in a corner near the door, and watched as the mass of people contorted to the shape of the train, the doors closing soon after. It then jerked forward, and after a few minutes and a few stops I was at the school. I stepped out with some other kids, the massive schooling complex lying before me. I could¡¯ve gone for a low tier school, it¡¯d be easy to blow through increasing time efficiency, but the benefits with ivy league where far to beneficial to shy away from, although they could attract a lot of attention, hopefully I can blend in with the others, though That may prove difficult, due to what Mum believes to be a ¡°problem¡± fortunately she has learned to exist with this fact. I then walked into the building, walking down the halls at a steady pace, arriving at my classroom just as the bell range. ¡°Ah good you came I was starting to get worried you got lost or um yeah, well introduce yourself.¡± I walked forward into the center of the class. ¡°My name is Algoris Vertid.¡± ¡°Oh, so that''s how you pronounce it.¡± The teacher whispered. I then began walking over to an empty desk. ¡°Don¡¯t you have anything else you want to share.¡± The teacher asked. ¡°I don¡¯t need to.¡± I said. ¡°I mean come on the class should know some things about you oh, I know. Class, Algoris here scored an almost perfect score on the entry exam.¡± The entire class then woke up from there tired gaze, and all seemed to stare at me, most where not malicious, but there was a group of male teenagers of various builds staring at me, smiling. Some of them looked like they also under took body augmentation since some of there skin looked like silicon rubber, they must have had good surgeons, as the seems are extremely hard to notice, and those type of operations are expensive so there most likely from rich family''s. I then scanned the rest of the room seeing if there where any others whom I should be suspicous of, but only found a girl with pale skin, whom was producing the same expression as the teenagers. She also seemed to have modified her body but in a different way with more cosmetics then something that could give you an edge, like shark teeth¡ Tattoos that would be intimidating to anyone of tame nature, and her scars seemed to be a mix of cosmetic and real, pale skin is a body mod, but most execs want to look tough while remaining clean so I doubt she undertook the procedure, if she is one. Although she might be from Under districts which would explain the pale skin and the scares, her other modifications would require an explanation though to how she received them, as money is most likely a limiting factor if she is from there, on top of that it is unlikely for someone like her to get in but not impossible. I scanned the room one last time I seeing one last girl whom was also looking at me differently from the others, her hair short going to just about her neck. She also had these round rimmed glasses, some would probably argue those where to big for her. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. I wouldn¡¯t say her gaze was malicious, it seemed to be more of a mix of curious and competitive something that I hadn¡¯t really seen before. I sat down. I should be careful of these entities, as there intents are unknown and what there willing to do an even bigger blank. The class then went on as normal with the teacher talking about how the days would work what class we would all go too, and so on and so forth, nothing really of note. The day then went on, and I found that my body was ready to expel waste, which didn¡¯t surprise me this time of day is usually when it comes time to attended to the matter. I continued into a bathroom using the facility, and exiting the stall soon after, as a teenager walked in. ¡°Hey, uh Algoris right.¡± I nodded. ¡°So I know your new around here so let me tell you how it goes.¡± I listened in. ¡°The fuckers in the back, well lets just say they got there eyes on you because of your grades.¡± He then looked behind himself, and walked up closer to me, whispering. ¡°You see there kinda dumb, or well not as smart as the rest of us so they kinda just en-script the other kids to help them out, and well if they disagree they well get some.¡± I nodded. ¡°Either way best course of action is to keep your future public grades down, and they¡¯ll probably think you just got lucky.¡± ¡°I will ensure to take your advice.¡± ¡°I¡¯m Tom by the way.¡± I continued past him. ¡°Hey, I thought we could help each other out.¡± I looked back at him. ¡°You never said any of that when we first engaged in socialization.¡± ¡°Well uh, yeah.¡± He wants something. ¡°Either way, wanna work on a upcoming project together I think it would be pretty easy for us.¡± He said he was smart, so wouldn¡¯t it be pretty easy for him, why would he want me, and why did he deflect from my question. ¡°are you trying to force a deal upon me.¡± I said. ¡°Ah ah, no.¡± He said. ¡°I mean come on we could do this project way quicker.¡± I turned back around. ¡°Your just like them, although I applaud you on trying a different method.¡± I continued to walk away, and I heard the slight rustle of clothing I turned around, and immediately deflect his punch, then pushing him into the wall, and forcing him into a stall, sending his head into the toilet. His attempts to remove my hands from his cloths, unsuccessful in every attempt, and once he got close to blacking out I pulled him out of the toilet, crawling away as I continued towards him, backing him into a corner. ¡°Remember if it weren''t for the rules and laws of today it would be more beneficial to kill you. Keep this between us.¡± He nodded and continued to stare at me with shell shocked eyes, I continued out of the bathroom, and out into the hallway. I need to keep confrontations like this down to a minimal if I hope to continue my retirement without any suspicion. I continued down the hallway to my next class, that pale girl sitting in the back. If I can¡¯t make myself unattractive to these groups, then I will simply have to join one of them to divert there ire. I found a seat that wasn''t taken that was semi close to the front, then hearing the pale girl move herself forward, sitting behind me, and the group of teenagers from the class before also found a group of desks near me. My plan for good benefits might be my very down fall¡ I¡¯ll make due and I¡¯ll start by getting them off my tail some way some how, but for right now I don¡¯t have enough information. Surprisingly the rest of the day went by without incident, seems they are deciding to wait for what ever reason. Hmm, they probably don¡¯t want to jump until they know for sure I¡¯m worth fighting for, the other kid was probably rolling the dice hoping that I was up to snuff, so he could reap the rewards, but I doubt he would¡¯ve reaped for long he wasn¡¯t very skilled in asserting psychical dominance, and his persuasion would¡¯ve been effective if he was dealing with someone that could be easily swayed. I stepped off the train and onto the station the entire platform deserted. I checked the time. At least they let us out early to avoid the work swarms. I then walked over to the stairs of my apartment, and looked down at the local store. I need to get some parts for a NAS, the old one is at the groups safe house and they use that, some more for play than for work but nonetheless still being used. I walked down the stairwell, until I reached the floor, that the shop was on, walking inside. The cashier looking up from his phone for a second, and then back down. I went to the far end, down into the used PC parts section, where I found a collection of all the parts I would need cases, server motherboards, ECC RAM, everything that a builder would need. I grabbed the cheapest parts that I knew where reliable, quickly getting to the point where I could confidently cash out, and continued to the cash register stopping just as I was about to walk down the aisle. I should look around some more, one never knows what they might need. I checked up, and down the aisles, grabbing some food that I needed too restock on, as well as some laundry detergent, as that was mostly done by Mum back at the safe house. I then made it to the last Aisle, which seemed to hold trinkets, and other miscellaneous items that had been gathered by Scavs. There was a Underdog Modular Weapons Platform, tucked away in the back. Old, but still useful. I pulled it out, and popped off the side cover using my phones flashlight to light up the interior. Burnt, someone probably tried modifying it, and it seems to have ended poorly. I put it back into it¡¯s spot. I¡¯ll keep this in mind, but I don¡¯t need it right now. I got up, a patch with a snake coiled around a package catching my eye. OLD WET HIDDEN TEARS (I felt my mom pick me up, as the ground beside us was strafed by gunfire from above, taking off into a sprint once she secured me in her grasp.) I began hyperventilating, and found myself soon leaning against the shelving, for a second before immediately bringing myself back to a normal posture and breathing pattern. Seems I¡¯ve had another episode I haven''t had one in a while. I looked at the patch again and it didn¡¯t trigger. Seems this wasn¡¯t the cause. I picked it up. Maybe¡ I¡¯ll make a better note of it when it happens again, for now I¡¯m going to do what I¡¯ve always done. I walked up to the cashier, and he began checking me out, remaining completely silent, until he got to the food. ¡°Jeez man these things suck, why are you buying them.¡± ¡°They provide me with proper nutrients.¡± I responded. He looked at me in an odd manner. ¡°Yeah I know, but they taste awful.¡± ¡°Taste has nothing to do with my purchase.¡± ¡°Um, okay man what ever floats your boat.¡± I then left the store with my goods, and continued up to my apartment, closing the door behind me, and placing what I¡¯ve purchased onto the counter, taking out my phone shortly after, pulling up Mum¡¯s contact information, and immediately dialed her number. It rang for a few seconds which usually isn¡¯t like her, but after another second She answered. ¡°Algoris how¡¯s a going thought you where cutting off everyone.¡± She said with a tired, but cheerful voice. ¡°I need to go over the wall assistance would be most preferable.¡± I heard her sigh. ¡°Course, I¡¯ll see you at the dinner.¡± ¡°when.¡± ¡°Twelve o¡¯clock tomorrow.¡± She then hung up. She seems to be in a bad mood, she has been looking for a husband recently, to which she has encountered little success. I don¡¯t understand why she would make herself so open to being hurt emotionally, because that''s all that seems to happen. I placed the phone, on the counter, and began my work organizing all of the parts preparing my work space for the assembly. VIENNA VETIN I looked out the window of the air-limo, staring at the city below, trying to look past all the roads, and buildings so I could see the ground below. ¡°Looking down there again.¡± My father said, as he sat close to me. ¡°Yes.¡± I said turning to face him, watching as he smiled, I then brought my attention back to the outside. He¡¯s so hypocritical I know he cares not for those people everyone does, and yet he¡¯s consistently taught me differently, and I do not think that is what¡¯s going to make me a good CEO in the coming years. We then pulled into the governmental complex, senators, lobbyists, along with other officials all lining the landing pad. My father then turned to me, a look of concern dressing over him. ¡°Vienna, do you want to go back.¡± ¡°Why, I need to learn the environment and the ropes somehow.¡± There was a pause. ¡°I just think you should enjoy a little bit more of your youth you know instead of mingling with us so soon.¡± I shook my head. ¡°I¡¯m eventually going to take the reins you know that.¡± the door then opened, and he joined me outside with the others. And my father all of a sudden becomes so skidish when it comes to talking about my eventual ascension up to CEO, he tells me to take it easy, and to not worry about it when he demands so much of his employees, asks them to dedicate there lives to the company and to prepare the next generation to do the same. It¡¯s not like I don¡¯t welcome it, but he should be more consistent in how he treats employees both current and upcoming. After he chatted with everyone for a bit, which mostly consisted of hellos with sort and quick sentences added onto the top, we entered the governmental complex. thousands of chairs all surrounding one center point, with thousands of people soon filling all those seat, all different backgrounds, and lives all conjoining to decide how to go about things, both in our favor, and others. Me, and my father sat in the top row of the seating, the visitor section, where we watched down below. ¡°So, how was school.¡± I looked at him. ¡°Shouldn¡¯t you be paying attention to whats happening.¡± He smiled. ¡°oh come on let a man enjoy his pleasantries.¡± ¡°It was like any other day, except.¡± I stopped myself from adding anthing else as I did not want to share anything about Algoris. I want him to be my personal assistant, not where my dad thinks he should be. He leaned in. ¡°Except for what.¡± I continued to remain quiet. ¡°Vienna, do you know why I gave you that name.¡± I shook my head. ¡°It was a place of trade.¡± I nodded. I already know this. ¡°And it was a place of deals, and deals require honesty.¡± ¡°But you lie all the time.¡± He nodded. ¡°Indeed¡ I do, but have I ever lied to you or mom, or the people that we work with.¡± I thought for a moment. ¡°Promise me you¡¯ll grant my wish.¡± I said, he sighed. ¡°That entirely depends on what your wish is.¡± I paused thinking about the possibility of this not going the way I intended it to. ¡°There¡¯s a man named Algoris he¡¯s older than all of us in the class and I heard a rumor that he scored quite high on his entrance exam, this of course peaked my interest and I checked the schools public student data base and it¡¯s true.¡± He smiled. ¡°So he interests you.¡± ¡°It¡¯s not romantic.¡± He chuckled. ¡°I know, I just thought it would be funny to word it that way.¡± I shook my head at his unprofessionalism. ¡°Either way I just want to make him an assistant.¡± He nodded. ¡°Then you may have your wish, but it¡¯s just an entry exam don¡¯t you want too.¡± He bobbed his head back, and forth. ¡°Wait until he¡¯s tested a little bit more see where his strengths, and weaknesses lie.¡± I paused. Yes I have jumped the gun, but if he is good then it would be wise to scoop him up as quickly as possible, and if father wants him to be tested then maybe I can haste it up by causing an incident, one that will challenge him in multiple ways. ¡°Yes I agree.¡± ¡°Then we¡¯ll wait till the end of the year, see how well he scored on average, and if he¡¯s up to snuff he¡¯s all yours¡±. SULLA ¡°Can¡¯t believe Yern got into a fight again.¡± one of my friends said. ¡°I know right, and most likely he started it.¡± I said, we all kinda giggled. ¡°Just can¡¯t keep his mouth shut can he.¡± another said. ¡°Who was even the kid he fought anyways.¡± Two girls then looked across the club over at a table that a few boys from our school where sitting at. ¡°Which one.¡± the two girls then secretly pointed to Dabion one of the schools most famous ass hats, and now I find it hard to blame Yern for running his mouth kid has a lot of money, and little shits to give. ¡°I can¡¯t believe he would do that especially when he¡¯s got plenty of money to sue him into the dirt.¡± Yern I wish your future spit balling adventures well, and that they are not put to death by sir fucksaroundalot. ¡°Yeah, I also read somewhere there supposed to become one of the biggest up and coming corporations to look out for he isn¡¯t a light wight like the rest of us that¡¯s for sure.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t you think it would be a dream to date him though.¡± Oh, here we go. ¡°Dream? It would be straight up heaven I mean lavish party''s, expensive drinks, expensive diners, plus a straight shot right up to the upper class I¡¯d shoot my shot if I wasn¡¯t already in an arranged marriage.¡± You should consider yourself lucky that your spouse can stand on his two feet, I mean he already as a stable company running thats detached from his family, unlike Dabion, he just keeps his grads up using the nerds. Some of the girls then looked at me. ¡°You should give it a shot Sulla.¡± I smiled, and shook my head. Seriously. ¡°I don¡¯t think he¡¯d take me, plus I don¡¯t think I¡¯m ready yet.¡± all of them looked at me like I had gone insane. ¡°Come on girl you at least gotta give it a shot, and you¡¯ve been outta the game since birth, I mean think about your future I know you got good engineering grades, but it would be easier to have someone help you out.¡± ¡°Either way Sulla with that engineering grade, you have a way better chance then the rest of us. People like him they need smart girls like you.¡± I giggled. Yeah, so he can use me or hell I become something worse, a trophy wife. ¡°Speaking of grades I heard that there already talking about tests.¡± I said. Come on bite, you girls hate school you know it. ¡°Wait, there talking about tests.¡± ¡°Yeah, some staff members in the office where complaining how corporations wanted to do private tests early this year.¡± A girl added. Well what I said was a little white lie guess I got a little dumb luck with me too. I glanced back over at Dabion. He treats a lot of people like trash well mostly the nerds, he¡¯s got the charisma though, and that''s the thing that sucks because he can make people talk about him none stop, but hopefully this is the end of it. He then looked over at me, our eyes meeting. I immediately looked away hoping to not arouse his attention. ABOUT AN HOUR LATER We stayed in there for a long time, hows my allowance looking. I opened my phone, and looked at my account, cringing. Have I really gone through that much money I barley bought anything at that place. I then scrolled down to my last deposit. Oh, yeah my allowance has gone down. I sighed a sigh of relief knowing I was contributing less to our financial downfall. I wish things where getting better, but they don¡¯t look like they are. I stepped in front of our store, and unlocked the door, walking behind the counter, and then continuing up stairs, hearing slight murmurs from behind the door. I entered our house my parents immediately going quiet as they sat at the table staring at paper work most likely from the bank. ¡°how was your night out sweet heart.¡± My mother said. ¡°Good, you guys doing paper work.¡± They both nodded. ¡°Yep, the usual stuff.¡± I giggled. ¡°I¡¯ll make sure to stay clear then.¡± ¡°Afraid of being bored to death.¡± I nodded, and smiled. ¡°Oh yeah.¡± I responded, and headed into my room, pressing my ear up against the door, and a few seconds later they began talking again. ¡°How do you think where going to handle this.¡± I heard a sigh. ¡°I don¡¯t know¡ if we don¡¯t get a good amount of new customers or have the old ones come in more frequently then our course to bankruptcy is pretty much solidified.¡± ¡°We¡¯ll find a way.¡± My mother added. ¡°Hopefully, but I¡¯m not so sure corpos are always gonna be sucking up employ¡¯s and customers till the end, and the thing that sucks is that I can¡¯t blame either one of them.¡± I don¡¯t want to live down there¡ I¡¯ll put some hours in for free, talk to them about putting posters up, and expanding our store to host other products, we have to find something that will eventually get us out of this. TILLIN I checked my phone, as my coworkers from the group chat shot me another massage begging me to come in. I shook my head. I haven¡¯t seen my wife in forever, in fact I haven''t even had a good day off, and these guys are whining there little asses off at how they need me to help them finish or else there gonna get burned, fuck off. It¡¯s not my fault the project manager set up an unrealistic dead line, propped me up as some kinda coding prodigy, and now is biting his nails off now that his ambition has come to bite him in the ass. Ugh, if it wasn¡¯t for my many years here, and the benefits as well as the pay, I¡¯d fucking left a long time ago. I walked past the old coffee shop, where those two officers always hung out and shot the shit. I swear I¡¯ve never seen those two do anything, but get fatter. I shook my head. Your only going to get angrier Tillin, just let it go. HERGOR VERTID I rushed forward pushing the guy down, Ternis then immediately lunging forward his blades extending from his arms, slicing the mans head off. He¡¯s pretty brutal with them even though he barly uses them. He then retracted them back into his arms. ¡°think there going to know who it is.¡± He said, sitting down on the couch next to the body. I shook my head. ¡°no not unless we plan on staying here.¡± ¡°So how¡¯d you end up here aren''t you supposed to be taking care of the bosses grand kid.¡± Ternis questioned. ¡°Fucks sakes, did you not here what I just said.¡± Ternis threw his hands up in the air. ¡°Listen man, our jobs pretty much done, and we got time to kill.¡± I shook my head. Ugh, I don¡¯t really want to talk about this either, but it¡¯s better then heading back home thats for sure. ¡°Theirs a bar near here I think we can talk on the way there.¡± He shrugged, smiling. ¡°alright, I¡¯m down.¡± He then got up, and I reached into my bag, pulling out a vial of venom, and pouring it down the mans throat. ¡°Your fucking weird.¡± I turned around. ¡°it¡¯s a tradition for the dead. The venom kills all impurities so he may rest in peace.¡± ¡°Whatever, lets just get out of here.¡± He said as we left the room. ¡°So about my question.¡± ¡°Yeah, boss still wants me working considers me too valuable of an asset just to have me stop.¡± ¡°Fuck that¡¯s rough man, I mean if I was forced to marry my boss¡¯s daughter, and fuck her just so he can have a grandson I¡¯d at least ask for absence from work you know.¡± ¡°That wasn¡¯t in our deal.¡± We got into the elevator, and I pressed the middle floor. It¡¯s not like I wanna be with her anyways. It¡¯s not that she¡¯s bad it¡¯s just I don¡¯t really care about, us or the kid in fact if I could just leave I would. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. ¡°So what was the deal.¡± I looked at him, leaning against the wall of the elevator. ¡°Increased pay benefits you know the usual stuff.¡± I¡¯m just trying to retire wealthy, so I can make it through and continue on my clans memory, although it feels like I¡¯m drifting farther, and farther away from my clan sometimes I don¡¯t even carry my hatchets anymore. ¡°Ah, so your aiming for the big bucks.¡± I nodded. Just as the elevator stopped, and we walked out. ¡°Can¡¯t say I can¡¯t relate, the body you see now, is all thanks to our employer, had to you know, missions called for it, and you also can¡¯t beat money.¡± He said, I nodded. ¡°It¡¯s pretty hard especially how things are going now days.¡± I added, he nodded. ¡°Fuck yeah, but I don¡¯t think I gotta worry for long.¡± ¡°Why¡¯s that.¡± He smiled. ¡°I got this manger bitch who I¡¯m dating, isn¡¯t part of a big company but big enough.¡± I nodded. ¡°She¡¯d make you set for life.¡± He nodded. ¡°Kinda freaky though likes playing with my knifes when where banging.¡± I shook my head. ¡°hopefully she doesn''t get any worse ideas.¡± Ternis crossed his fingers. ALGORIS VERTID I checked the time. I should have enough, I¡¯ll head out early to account for anything that happens on my way there. I walked down to the parking garage, and stepped into my personal garage, getting onto my motorcycle and starting it up, driving it out of the parking garage soon after. I took it onto the highway, and as I went faster, my body bent down lower until my stomach was pressed against the seat, with the pedals up in the rear of the motorcycle. I then hit the speed limit in just a few seconds, and after a few minutes of travel, I was at the diner. I checked the time, just a few minutes early. I walked inside, the dinner quiet, as it usually is around this time. ¡°Hey Algoris.¡± Temp said. I walked forward. ¡°I¡¯m waiting for Mum.¡± He widened his eyes. ¡°Yeah, you might have to wait a little bit.¡± I waited for him to continue his response. ¡°She came in drunk, thought it was the time you two where going to meet up.¡± I grabbed my phone, and began dialing her number. ¡°When I told her it was the wrong time, she uhh, cussed at me, told me that maybe I should try making money in my country and walked out.¡± Shes associated with me I should make her apologize. ¡°Just to let you know, I know she gets¡ Yeah, when shes drunk so just make sure she¡¯s okay.¡± I nodded. Good, there''s no need for that. I dialed her number. Nothing. It then went to voicemail phone. ¡°Mum, I¡¯m at the diner, get here.¡± I then hung up. I don¡¯t know where she is right now, so the best option is to wait and see if she sees my voice mail, and if that produces nothing then I¡¯ll find other means. ¡°So how¡¯s life treating you.¡± Temp said abruptly. ¡°Well.¡± He nodded. ¡°Anything else.¡± ¡°Do I need to add anything else.¡± He shook his head. ¡°No sorry, I know I¡¯ve been working with you and your group for years, but I still haven¡¯t gotten used to you.¡± I nodded. Everyone says that about me, weather or not it¡¯s a problem is irrelevant it doesn''t seem to have a significant impact on people. ¡°Sorry I should have worded that better.¡± ¡°It doesn''t matter, you worded it to the best of your ability, nevertheless the intent and content of the message was still conveyed.¡± He nodded, and I continued over to a table and waited. Thirty minutes then passed the door open it¡¯s bell ringing as it did. She remained at the door frame, staring at me for a few seconds. She smiled stepping forward a little, and then rushed over stumbling over herself crying, hugging me as tears fell down her cheeks. ¡°He cheated on me Algoris.¡± She said as she smothered her face into my chest. Temp stared at me, trying his best not to laugh. Best to just go along with her crises. I then brought my attention to her. But I¡¯m afraid I don¡¯t know how. She continued to sob. ¡°He cheated on me with three woman.¡± I don¡¯t know way she puts herself in such predicaments, this has happened four times already, and she goes down this same spiral every time. If I where her I¡¯d embrace the reality of the situation, and realize that relationships are a dead end. There only use really is to extend ones genes, and the species as a whole. ¡°Can¡¯t you fucking do anything you emotionless prick.¡± She then began gently beating me with her fists. I stopped her after the first punch, and she continued to sob. I took the keys to the motorcycle out of my wallet. ¡°Temp, are you aware of a safe spot to store my vehicle.¡± He nodded. ¡°Boss lets me store my car in a garage outside, I think he wouldn¡¯t mind if I helped out a long time patron.¡± I threw him the keys, and he walked out the door, continuing out with him as I dragged Mum out with me, ordering a cab, as Temp brought the bike into the garage. After a few minutes the taxi showed up, and I brought both of us into the cab, the cab taking us on the highway, going slower then the speed limit because of the limitations of it¡¯s engine. The drive seemed to calmed Mum, as she stopped her crying, and leaned up against my shoulder fighting sleep until she couldn¡¯t no more. I wish she would stop this, makes working with her unnecessarily complicated. We then pulled up to the parking garage, where I was forced to carry her up to my apartment, and set her down onto the couch, preparing a glass of water from the kitchen sink, and then rolling her onto her side, leaving the room for my office awaiting for her to awake. TWO HOURS LATER I then heard a groan, and the sounds of things falling to the ground, I immediately got up, and went into the living room where Mum sat downing the water I had provided. ¡°How long will it take you to get ready.¡± She sighed. ¡°Just give me a minute.¡± She said, holding her head. She does this all the time, she knows the consequences of her actions and yet she repeats them. ¡°May I ask why you did this again.¡± She stared at the floor. ¡°Listen I know I fucked up okay, I got drunk, and everything''s fucked.¡± ¡°That is not what I asked.¡± She remained quiet. ¡°Because it feels good to take a back seat when everything just goes to hell.¡± She uses it as an escape. ¡°I mean shouldn¡¯t one of your intellect be able to figure that out.¡± I sat down on the coffee table in front of her. ¡°it¡¯s best not to assume such things in situations like these, even when talking to allies you must keep the air clear, the only expectation is when your dealing with an enemy.¡± She nodded. If she continues on like this she won¡¯t only be a liability to herself which is bad because she¡¯s a great asset, but she¡¯ll also harm this mutual agreement we have as it would be very difficult to manage her. ¡°Let¡¯s get to the heart of the issue then, your desire for a relationship.¡± ¡°I don¡¯t think that''s the problem.¡± She said shaking her head. ¡°But it keeps ending in disaster which brings about the worst of your drinking.¡± She nodded, looking away. ¡°You wouldn¡¯t understand.¡± I nodded. ¡°Your most likely right.¡± Seems I¡¯m going to need to find a compromise for her, since she won¡¯t give up on that aspect. ¡°What if you found a different way of dealing with this.¡± She looked at me slanting her eyebrow up. ¡°You know getting drunk is not the best course of action.¡± She nodded. ¡°Yeah, I¡¯ll see if I can find something else.¡± Good then it¡¯s settled. I got up. ¡°Do you wish to continue with what we had planned.¡± She slowly got up, almost tipping over. ¡°Hey, we planned it right.¡± She said with a slight smile as she held her stomach. ¡°I think we should continue this tomorrow.¡± I responded. ¡°No Algoris, if you where willing to contact me it must be important, I¡¯ll just pop some nausea medicine, and we¡¯ll be on our way.¡± I nodded. That should work, but I¡¯m concerned about her performance elsewhere, like her cognitive skills, and such. No matter she seems to be able enough it¡¯s not like where engaging in a salvaging operation, where ensuring each others safety in paramount. ¡°There is equipment in the office those should be easy to find, the medicine cabinet is also in there, the medication your seeking is on the second self.¡± She nodded, as I pointed to the backroom, and after a few minutes she returned. I handed her a rain coat so she could hide her gear, and we walked out of the apartment, heading onto the train station. ¡°Why aren''t we taking a cab.¡± She asked. ¡°Trains about to come through here.¡± ¡°Oh, sorry just used to my stations schedule.¡± Or it could just be the alcohol still having an effect on you, but I¡¯ll give her the benefit of the doubt. I brought my head around, staring at her, as she held her stomach. No, I think it would be wise to call this off. ¡°Lets head back to the apartment.¡± And I began walking away, she immediately grabbed my hand. ¡°No, I can do this.¡± I stopped, and faced her. ¡°No, your obviously not fit right now.¡± She sighed. ¡°can you at least tell me what where going over the wall for.¡± I reached into my pouch, and pulled out the patch, and handed it to her. She gently took it from my hands, as something arose inside telling me to take it back from her. ¡°Algoris why didn¡¯t you just say you had this.¡± ¡°I was too busy dealing with you at the time.¡± She smiled, and chuckled. ¡°Yeah, sorry about that.¡± She said handing me back the patch. I took it and that thing immediately went away. ¡°Where going by the way.¡± She said with a smile. ¡°No, yo-.¡± She held up a finger to her mouth. ¡°sssshhhh, let¡¯s just go I know it¡¯s important.¡± The train then came, and she walked inside, I joined her soon after. ¡°I do not believe this is the best course of action.¡± ¡°Oh shut the fuck up mister logical.¡± And the doors closed in front of us. ¡°It¡¯s not that pressing of an issue.¡± ¡°Then why did you call me in the afternoon when it¡¯s usually the time I don¡¯t like being bothered, why are you putting everything else on hold.¡± I remained silent. I don¡¯t know, I just need to. The train pulled up to the station at the edge of the wall, and we both stepped out. Temp almost immediately walking out of the diner, throwing me the keys to my motorcycle which I immediately caught, I then went towards the garage opening it, and walking inside, inserting the key into the ignition, and bringing the motorcycle out, pulling it up next to Mum, I then looked at Temp. ¡°Do you want payment.¡± He shook his head. ¡°Just happy to help.¡± I then drove towards the wall, driving up to the sheet metal covering the crack, pulling it back, then turning the motorcycle off, and bringing it inside. Descending into the wall, following the markings left by others, until we came across another hole covered by sheet metal. We push onto it, and I brought the motorcycle out into the forest. The birds chirping at our arrival, and the squirrels squiring away from our presence. ¡°I like this place.¡± Mum said, as I turned on the bike once more, and shifted the handles to the outside. The bike turning into a four wheeler. ¡°I still can¡¯t believe you made that work.¡± She said. ¡°All it takes is time.¡± She then hoped onto the back, and I drove through the forest for what was probably a few hours, reaching the side of the mountains. It¡¯s been awhile since I¡¯ve been up here, but that is irrelevant. We drove up a steep incline, and found our self''s at the shrine, burnt vehicles, and picked over creates littering the path to it. I turned off the bike, and got off, readying the patch, walking forward, as Mum stayed back watching. I soon found myself standing in front of the shrine, lowering myself to my knees, taking a box from middle and opening it, placing the patch with the many other patches there. I then closed the box, and placed it back with the many other items that people had left in remembrance. I got up after spending a few seconds longer then I should¡¯ve sitting in place. quickly brought my attention back to what mattered and continued back over to the bike. ¡°You¡¯ve never told me why you keep doing this.¡± I thought for a moment, but found nothing. ¡°It¡¯s just something I have to do.¡± ¡°Your telling me that you don¡¯t know why you coming here.¡± I then got onto the bike, remaining silent, she got on with me. ¡°That''s okay, it tells me a lot.¡± She added. I then turned it on, and began driving back to our insertion point. Tells you what, because it should say nothing these actions are nothing, just what I need to do. We then made it back to the wall, going back through, quickly finding ourselves back onto the other side. ¡°Do you need me to drive you to a station.¡± She leaned against my back, on the bike. ¡°Actually, can I stay at your apartment.¡± ¡°Why.¡± ¡°I moved into that douche bags apartment, and well now I have no where else to go.¡± I nodded. ¡°Very well, but no drinking, and make yourself useful.¡± ¡°yeah I know¡ One last thing.¡± I brought my gaze upon her. ¡°When you got the time, can you help me move my things into yours.¡± It would be wise to help her since where living together again now. ¡°Yes, as long as those things aren''t too tedious.¡± ¡°Thanks.¡± She said, and I took off down the road, back onto the highway, continuing back into the parking garage, and back into my apartment. ¡°One last question before you start working.¡± I turned my head so my ear faced her. ¡° Are you ever going to tell them where you are, or going.¡± ¡°No, it might attract attention, attention I don¡¯t want.¡± She sighed. ¡°Yeah, guess it¡¯s hard when your this close huh.¡± I then opened the door. ¡°another thing Algoris, and I promise this will be the last one.¡± I turned my ear towards her again, and she walked up to me. ¡°Even though you make me hate you, I fucking love you, you son of a bitch.¡± She then hugged me, and I felt that subtle warmness of my mother. (¡°I wanna go train with dad, and brother.¡± She smiled. ¡°Look at you already wanting to become a man.¡± She rubbed my hair. ¡°Can I.¡± I watched as she developed a concerned expression. ¡°How about we go somewhere first.¡± I tilted my head.) I then exhaled, and Mum let go. ¡°Algoris your alright, right.¡± I nodded. ¡°It¡¯s nothing.¡± I then turned around and opened the door, walking into the office, closing said door behind me. You hate me but you love me, that makes no sense why use two contradictory words to describe how you feel¡ I shouldn¡¯t dwell on it, it¡¯s a waste of brain power. A FORCED HOUSE OF CARDS THE NEXT DAY I stepped out of the train, and walked into the school, entering the classroom right as the bell rang, continuing over to my desk, as those same kids stared at me, all except for one, that being the girl in the glasses. Seems she has lost interest, but I should still keep, an eye on her. I sat down. ¡°Alright class now that everyone is here, we have something unexpected.¡± He pulled out a stack of papers. ¡°The private tests date has been pushed forward.¡± Everyone moaned, and groaned. ¡°It is literally the beginning of the year at least let us warm up.¡± One student complained. The teacher shrugged, and began handing out the papers to the disgruntled students. ¡°Sorry it kinda pisses me off too, but we get most of our funding from these guys, so.¡± He handed me my paper, and I skimmed through it just to get a basic idea. Seems it would give anyone unprepared a run for there money. I pulled out a pencil. Lets see how I preform under the circumstances. I then noticed a subtle buzzing sound almost as if a fly had gotten into the room, I brought my eyes ever so slightly up, seeing a barley noticeable glimmer. Cloaking tech, most likely from a drone. I brought my eyes back down onto my paper. someone obviously owns this most likely in this room, I just have nothing to go on right now to reveal them, and hitting it down right now would most likely notify them that I know of there existence, which will make trying to figure out who they are all the more difficult. I continued on with the test, and thirty minutes later when I was done, the drone flew away, back to whomever was controlling it I assume. I scanned the room subtly, trying to find that same glimmer, but with the amount of light in here, that is pretty much impossible. After another thirty minutes, the bell rang, with the intercom going off. ¡°All students please go to the cafeteria for the welcoming ceremony.¡± Everyone groaned again. ¡°This is gonna be so dry.¡± ¡°They gotta learn to stop doing everything in one day.¡± We continued down the hall into the massive cafe, where hoards of students where all gathering, finding there seats. I found myself kinda in the middle with all the other students from my class, and after a few minutes everyone was seated, and they all started talking, the combined sound of thousands of kids talking blowing out my ear drums. I took out some ear plugs that I always keep handy for situations like these, quickly placing then into my ears as it grew louder. After a few minutes though what seemed like the class representatives walked out, and where able to get everyone quieted down. Taking out my earplugs as a result. ¡°Welcome to another year of school.¡± Everyone remained quiet the only thing being audible was the soft coughing of someone in the room. They continued on, talking about stuff that didn¡¯t concern me for quite a bit, and then they began calling names. ¡°Can Janish please come up.¡± She came up to the stage. ¡°Everyone welcome Janish one our brand new student to our school.¡± Everyone then began clapping. Another welcome to school type introduction. Ones understandable, and enough, but two is unnecessary especially when a sizable portion of the school will not even see them. They then went through twenty students, before my name was called. I would¡¯ve stayed seated if it wasn¡¯t for the kids next to me rearing there heads, and obviously staring at me for a few seconds. Looks like I¡¯m forced to engage through social convention. I got up. I wish I could¡¯ve avoided this, as I¡¯ve already attracted attention with my grades, and I may just be saying a hello, but when people are looking at you a certain way who knows how they¡¯ll see you. I stepped up onto the stage walking over to the microphone, the people on the stage looking at me with wide smiles, as I stepped up to the podium. ¡°I am Algoris Vertid.¡± I then stepped away from the podium. ¡°Come on Algoris do you have anything else to say.¡± ¡°No.¡± I then heard loud murmurs in the crowed, and the person I was talking too turned there head to see what the commotion was about, I then followed looking up at the image the projector was displaying, my private grades, along with my picture being put on full display for all to see. I had an expectantly high score in all categories. I turned back around, staring at the crowd. The group of boys, and that girl with the pale-skin staring at me, while everyone else was still staring at my scores in surprise. I need to make an alliance with one of them, if I am to be left alone. ¡°I¡¯m heading to the bathroom.¡± I said to one of the teachers, while they where talking to the other teachers on the radio, people panicking on the other side as they where trying figure out what happened. They nodded. I continued down from the stage, and over to the door. The group, and the pale girl, watching me, as I did, the pale girl being one of the first to get up. I continued out of the door of the auditorium, bringing my eyes back to see the two, parties set eyes on me. I continued down the hall to a bathroom, entering it and finding a stall, waiting until one followed me in, there footsteps walking up to my stall. I readied myself for a fight, but was still aiming to make a deal. I opened the door, just as the pale woman was reaching for the door handle. ¡°I know why you are here.¡± I said She nodded, and smiled exposing her teeth to me, a weird thing warming my head, irrelevant. She¡¯s most likely trying to be intimidating. ¡°Good then you know I want you to help me.¡± I nodded. ¡°Great, so how about this I protect you against those retards, and you boost my failing grade.¡± The group has more people to manage which mean more chances for conflict, plus they would most likely want me to provide for all of them which places more of a burden on me, but at the end of the day she is one person so the question for her is how much weight can she throw around, only one way to find out. I nodded, and she extended her hand, I took it. I don¡¯t know why people believe that this is some sort of unbreakable deal, it is more of a form of nod, and it has the same worth of it. She then wrapped her arm around my head, and began rubbing her hand against my hair violently. ¡°Good dipshit, now lets get down to class.¡± I think this isn¡¯t the most optimal person to be aligned with, but if she¡¯s the lesser of two evils then I must go with her, because some protection is better then no protection. We walked down the hallway the group stepping out. Her first proof of usefulness lets see how she preforms. They stopped in front of us, hesitantly, but they eventually continued forward. ¡°So Plaxia mind handing over your new friend.¡± She removed her arm from around my neck, and began getting closer to them without hesitation. I looked down at her hand noticing it was twitching for a second, she stopped it by relocating her hand to her waist as she walked forward, stopping a little distance away from the group, stanching herself so that she appeared confident. Nervousness is probably what afflicted her hand, and if so she hides it well. ¡°Sorry, he¡¯s not like the whores you bang, he¡¯s gonna be with me for a while.¡± She said giggling. ¡°Your one to talk, I¡¯m the son of.¡± ¡°You know for someone so powerful you always need your daddy''s status.¡± she said cutting him off, she stepped forward, as his friends held him back. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. ¡°What are you gonna do fucker, fight me, you remember what I did to that kid, you where there and we both know what the recovery looked like. To be honest I thought the surgery was gonna be a bust.¡± She said, a commanding seriousness in her voice, with a mix of psychopathy. The group stepped back, and one of the leaders friends whispered into his ear. ¡°Fine have your prize, we got enough braineacs on line up already.¡± Plaxia looked back at me. ¡°Come on shit stain we gotta huff it now that these fuckers small dicks slowed us down.¡± We then walked past the group. Her ability to control, and intimidate others is sufficient, she¡¯ll suffice for now, until she is no longer of use. I got beside her again, and she wrapped her arm around me once more. Seems shes going to make a habit out of that, probably to establish her fake dominance. We entered the class, and sat next to each other. The girl with the glasses sitting some what close to us, The teacher getting up from his desk once everyone found there seats bringing a mound of papers with him. ¡°Alright class to start the year lets get the biggest pain in the ass out of the way.¡± He said holding up the papers. Everyone including Plaxia collectively groaning, with the girl in glasses being the only one who didn¡¯t, the teacher shrugged. ¡°Now you know what you need to do select a government, research it the basic stuff, but since everyone chose the same government last year, I¡¯ve taken the liberty of assigning each person a different random government.¡± Everyone groaned again, this time with more anguish. Everyone seems to hate this project, I¡¯ll wait to see what it offers before forming an opinion on it. The teacher then began passing out everyone''s assignment, and Plaxia leaned closer too me. ¡°Wanna head over to your house so we can work on this.¡± I looked at her. ¡°I figured you¡¯d make this a more parasitic agreement.¡± She giggled. ¡°No, I¡¯m not gonna waste a good free study.¡± She may be dumb compared to a good proportion to everyone else here, but she¡¯s got potential, and potential can lead to mastery. I shouldn¡¯t allow her into my house though, I have too many incriminating items that are easily accessible to her, and I do not want to arouse suspicion. ¡°No, I would like to keep my place of residence private, I think it would be better if we did things at your place.¡± She stared at me. ¡°well tough shit I don¡¯t want ya going to mine either.¡± It seems we¡¯ve come to an impasse, no problem when I leave here I can track her, and find her residence, and sort everything out there, still it would be wise to know why she feels this way. ¡°Why.¡± She scowled. ¡°Because I live in the Under-Districts, and I don¡¯t want your marry ass going down there, getting yourself killed because you looked at someone funny.¡± She¡¯s being hyperbolic but I¡¯ve lived there for years, and I can say she isn¡¯t far off. ¡°Very well.¡± But unlike her I can trust myself to handle things, and every time she steps out that door her chances of getting killed skyrockets, and she¡¯s no use to me dead at least for now. ¡°So are you going to bring me over.¡± She said. ¡°No.¡± ¡°Why not fuck face.¡± ¡°Like I said privacy, we can do the project during study hall that should suffice.¡± She then brought her head forward. ¡°Yeah, but I don¡¯t wanna be chasing those pricks off twenty four seven, plus it¡¯s only like a fucking hour.¡± ¡°we¡¯ll find a way,¡± I added. This relationship was born out of hostility so our trust isn¡¯t exactly on the best of terms, still I should try and mitigate her stress, and anger towards me. Problem is I¡¯m pretty sure what I¡¯m about to do is going to drive this relationship to the breaking point, a risk I am willing to accept, if it means I can avoid the risk of her connecting dots on who I am, besides if she does try to engage in hostility against me I would most likely dominate her, and then use her as the puppet I need. The teacher then got to my desk. ¡°You two working together.¡± We both nodded, and he gave me the paper. I opened it seeing an image of our clan emblem on the document. (¡°Come on Algoris grab your swim suit.¡± My Mom said, I did as she asked, and climbed into the truck, the dirt road only taking us a little bit away from the camp, until we came to our destination. A cliff over looking a deep pond. Mom got out putting on her swim suit, and I followed, thinking we where just going to walk down.) I inhaled deeply, Plaxia looking at me weird, as I immediately returned to normal. ¡°You alright.¡± She asked. ¡°Yes.¡± The rest of the day went by normally, with me and Plaxia going from class to class together with her arm constantly around me, the weight of her body starting to wear me down, but I need to make sure she''s in a semi good mood before I track her down. The day then started to come to a close, so I made my move, and when she brought her attention to something else, I brought my phone out and began checking if her archaic phone was emitting a Bluetooth frequency. I watched as multiple frequency¡¯s popped up, and selected the closest one, and ran my program, force pairing with her phone, and dropping in a tracking program that disguises itself as calculator, and when she began to turn back around. I put my phone back into my pocket, and watched as she opened up phone the program installing and triggering as she did, and soon I felt my phone vibrate with the coordinates of her position updating every few seconds. The bell then rang. ¡°See ya later.¡± She said, I nodded, and continued out the door. Seeing the girl with glasses, down the hall staring at her phone, noticing her eyes glance over at me from moment to moment, I continued on taking note of the encounter. I then continued out of the school heading to the station, and taking the train home, watching Plaxia move on my phone, until she stopped at Ginger street, going into house two-seven-four. I will head down to her place once I acquire all my gear, and feed myself. It¡¯s not wise to stay out late down there, so being time efficient is going to be a must. The train then stopped, and I walked out of it heading up to my apartment. Seeing Mum laying on the couch as I entered. ¡°Foods on the table.¡± She said, and I looked at the counter, seeing many plates, with a wide verity of meats and vegetables on them. ¡°I do not believe it was necessary to make such a diverse quantity.¡± ¡°Can it, and eat.¡± I walked over to the table, and began selecting the foods that will maintain my body for the rest of the afternoon. ¡°I¡¯ll be heading down into the Under-Districts.¡± ¡°What for.¡± ¡°I have a study partner for a school project.¡± I heard her jump up from the couch with a smile across her face. ¡°Jeez Algoris how did you pull that one off.¡± ¡°This was by no means obligatory.¡± Her smiled went away. ¡°Oh.¡± ¡°I need her so I can evade those that wish to use my mind for there own benefit, especially those willing to escalate confrontations to violence.¡± ¡°At least give me some hope.¡± She sat back down on the couch, looking at me from over the top of the ridge. ¡°Is she at least cute.¡± ¡°That is an extremely broad term, and no I do not plan to establish a relationship with her.¡± ¡°She also seems very mentally troubled in terms of constantly expressing dominance over me potentially outweighing the benefits of said relationship.¡± She sighed. ¡°What¡¯s her name.¡± ¡°Plaxia.¡± ¡°Hopefully I can meet her.¡± Why, shouldn¡¯t the reasons I have given deter you, no matter, that''s not important right now. I sat down at the table, and finished my food, getting up immediately after, getting a gas mask with black tinted glass, and my belt, immediately heading to the door once I had attached my equipment. ¡°Remember Algoris we still need to move my stuff out of my old apartment.¡± I nodded. ¡°Tomorrow afternoon.¡± She nodded. ¡°Yeah, that should work.¡± I then opened the door, and continued out heading into the garage, and bringing out my bike. She¡¯s extremely close to an elevator, probably the only reason she leaves the house is to go to this school she probably lets her parents deal with the more riskier travels. Either way it reduces my time out in the Under-Districts streets, something that is welcomed by all. I got onto the bike and went down the highway, getting to the elevator a short time later, entering it and pressing the button that lead to the ground floor, putting on my gas mask as the elevators numbers ticked down and I soon found myself on the trash littered streets of the Under-Districts. I walked out. Corporate tried revitalizing this place, but that involved getting all the rabble out as there skills don¡¯t serve there needs. I turned my head, and saw a man spray painting a wall. His hand steady, and careful. Especially the more rebellious types. I continued forward. Seeing the many burned out, cars and homes, that where still left lying about after the riots, caused by corporates ambitions, most of them where police vehicles. Police¡¯s only real objective is to secure order, there¡¯s plenty of corporate corruption of course, a scandal every week on average, but if your a mercenary even under corporate license they¡¯ll arrest you no questions asked and give you a hefty prison sentence on top of that. The only reason why they where down here was to secure a foothold, and push out the gangs, but that war ended in the favor of the defenders, mostly because they had there networks, and contacts. I soon found myself in front of Plaxia¡¯s house. Seems she¡¯s living in what was supposed to be an employee residence, also seems it has been modified to accommodate for the toxic air down here. I stepped up to the airlock, and opened the door, walking inside. No leaks, and everything seems well maintained, her family seems to have done well. I walked up to the buzzer. I¡¯ve heard many people describe this place as a trap, and that is true to an extent, as you have to focus more money and energy on surviving down here then trying to return to the middle sections. I then pressed the buzzer, and the cameras light came on. The airlock then engaging, cleaning out all the dirty air, hearing angry footsteps whom I assumed where Plaxia¡¯s heading to the door, stopping once she had gotten close enough as we both had to wait until the red light had turned green. Once it did I took off my gas mask, and she threw open the door. ¡°What the fuck are you doing here.¡± ¡°To finish our assignment.¡± She pressed her fingers against the ridge of her nose, and exhaled. ¡°I fucking thought we where going to do it at school in the library.¡± ¡°I changed my mind and agreed with you on it¡¯s inefficiency¡¯s.¡± She shook her head. ¡°How did you even find me.¡± ¡°I tracked you, I recommend via your own methods to acquire a new one that is still being supported.¡± Best to answer honestly, as I have nothing to form a lie. ¡°You hacked my phone.¡± I nodded, and she growled. ¡°If you weren''t so fucking useful I¡¯d have fucking ground pounded you.¡± She whispered. ¡°Fucking wait out here, I¡¯ll get ya when I¡¯m ready.¡± She added, closing the door, as I heard her frantically rummage throughout the house. Good it seems this agreement wasn¡¯t shattered by may actions.
