《ROSALIE'S DEMON》 ISABELLA Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight ISABELLA The world was on fire, molten lava running along the ground like rivers. The sky was red, the air suffocating¡ªpleasing to the demons. They were fighting, a hundred against one. "Give up, Isabella. You will not win. There are more of us and just one of you," General Azazel said, his black eyes burning with fury. He was a high-ranking demon with green skin, a broad nose, fangs on both the top and bottom of his mouth, pointed ears, and two long black horns atop his flowing black hair. He wore red armor and a red cape, and in his hand was a long, sharp sword, its handle decorated with diamonds and rubies. Isabella laughed. "You said the same thing when there were five hundred of you. Do you still think you can kill me? Is your tiny brain unable to comprehend that this isn''t a battle¡ªit''s a slaughter? Give up now, and I''ll spare the rest of your demons." She smirked, her fangs showing. Isabella had pointed ears, black skin, long flowing white hair, and white feathered wings on either side of her. Her icy blue cat-like eyes gleamed with mirth, even in such a serious situation. She stood at 7 feet tall, wearing black armor with white designs etched into it. Her black tail, tipped with an arrowhead shape, swayed in anticipation. It, too, was white like her hair and wings. She had a bow and arrows on her back, and a bloody sword in her left hand. The general was enraged. Four hundred of his men, dead¡ªkilled by a defective demon. It shouldn''t be possible. Their king had ordered her death because she refused to torture a human. They were demons¡ªthat''s what they did. But what he couldn''t understand was how this demon, the king''s daughter, was so powerful. She didn''t look like other demons, and she didn''t act like them either. Azazel shook his head and gripped his sword tighter. He could sense the fear in his men, but they had to follow orders. "Attack!" he shouted. The demons surrounded Isabella, who laughed, setting herself into a defensive stance. "Well, I guess you want to die too," she said, smiling. Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? One by one, they fell, meeting the end of her blade. Soon, only thirty remained. "You bitch!" General Azazel cursed, blood running from a cut on the side of his face and several other wounds on his body. He looked ragged, tightening his grip on his sword as he prepared to behead her. But suddenly, his sword broke in half. The end piece flew and stabbed one of his demon soldiers in the left eye, going straight through to the back of his skull. The demon dropped to his knees before collapsing. Everyone watched in shock, then turned their attention to Isabella and General Azazel. There was a third figure now¡ªa woman, 7 feet tall, with red skin, black glowing eyes, sharp fangs, and pointed ears. Her black hair swayed in the wind, and her long fingers, with sharp black nails, wrapped around a black glowing sword. It was the sword that had shattered Azazel''s weapon. Everyone dropped to their knees, recognizing the woman. "My queen..." General Azazel was at a loss for words. "Silence," Queen Lilith commanded, sheathing her sword at her side. She turned to Isabella, her daughter, and sighed. "Rise, child." Isabella got up from her knees. "Hello, Mother. Fancy meeting you here." Lilith smiled, always amused by Isabella''s easygoing demeanor. "I heard what you''ve done, child." "I''m not going to torture an innocent human to amuse my father or my siblings." "Yes, well, you chopped off your brother''s hand." "He was preventing me from freeing the human. Besides, it will grow back." Lilith sighed. She had always known Isabella was different from other demons¡ªtoo compassionate. "Father didn''t have to send his army to kill me. He should have come to do the job himself." Lilith sighed again and held her daughter''s chin tenderly. "Because I love you, I''m going to banish you from the human world." "What?!" Isabella exclaimed. "Listen, child. I tried to convince your father to let you live, but he refused. However, he promised to leave you alone if I banished you. And I''m not going to lose my daughter because of who she is." "Mother..." Isabella said softly. Lilith''s eyes softened. "There''s nothing for you here, anyway. I can tell you''re miserable. Go to the human world and live your life to the fullest. Maybe you''ll meet your mate." Isabella sighed. "I''ll miss you, though." "And why is that? You''ll see me again. I''ll visit every chance I get. And you know how to summon me when you need me." Lilith stepped back and unwrapped her sword from her waist, handing it to Isabella. "Take this. It has served me well, and now it will serve you." "But it''s yours. I can''t take it." "Child, I can make another one." "Okay..." Isabella relented. Lilith touched Isabella''s forehead, and in an instant, she was gone. Isabella found herself standing in the middle of a house, holding her mother''s sword. SOULMATES SOULMATES It had been a week since Isabella arrived in a small town called Forks. It was a quiet place where everyone seemed to know each other. The closeness was unsettling for Isabella, who valued her privacy. Fortunately, her mother had purchased a house far from any neighbors, giving her the isolation she desired. She''d also been gifted a substantial sum of money¡ªenough to last her a lifetime. Yet, the memory of her father trying to kill her over her compassion for humans still haunted her. Her siblings weren''t much better, all siding with him, except for her sister Amelia, whom she hadn''t seen in over a hundred years. Now, Isabella lived in her secluded home with Nyxshade, her shadow cat, who was more of a companion than a pet. Nyx was a gift from her mother and had been with her since childhood. She was as large as a full-grown tiger, her fur black as midnight, and her bright green eyes capable of piercing the dark. Nyx could move through shadows and blend in with them, making herself invisible at will. As it was time for Nyx to hunt, Isabella decided to join her, as hiking always brought her peace. While they wandered, she suddenly caught a scent that was as alluring as it was unique¡ªvanilla mixed with fresh raindrops. Drawn to it, Isabella ran through the woods but stopped behind a tree, masking her scent. A few yards away, she saw a tall, beautiful blonde preparing to pounce on an unsuspecting deer. The woman was a vampire; Isabella could tell by the way she drank the deer''s blood. It was strange, though. Vampires usually avoided animal blood since it lacked the nutrients they needed. Isabella recalled a coven she had encountered a thousand years ago who''d tried the same diet until she warned them it would lead to madness and eventual death. As Nyxshade returned, finished with her hunt, she rubbed against Isabella''s leg, purring contentedly. Isabella scratched her head and glanced back at the blonde, who was now standing and staring right at the tree where she hid. At that moment, Isabella realized the truth¡ªthis vampire was her mate. "Hello? Is someone there?" the blonde called out. Before Isabella could answer, Nyxshade ran over and leaped onto the woman, knocking her to the ground. "What the hell?" the blonde shouted as Nyx began to purr. She froze, unsure what to do. Isabella stepped out from behind the tree, a smile playing on her lips. "Scratch her head. She likes that." The blonde hesitated but reached up and petted Nyx, who purred even louder. Isabella knelt beside them, observing the two of them with a smile. "What''s your name?" she asked. The blonde looked at her, surprised and fearful. "Rosalie Hale." Rosalie hesitated for the first time she had known herself. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. "Beautiful," Isabella murmured. She could tell Rosalie was stunned, likely never having encountered a demon before, especially not one in her true form, complete with horns. Isabella''s wings were tucked away, but the rest of her demonic features were on display. "It''s okay; I won''t hurt you," Isabella reassured her. "My name is Isabella, and that shadow cat on top of you is Nyxshade. Go ahead, pet her some more. This is my first time seeing her take to someone so quickly." Rosalie softened, stroking Nyx''s head. Isabella moved closer and kneeled beside them. "Can I call you Rose?" Isabella asked gently. "Yes," Rosalie replied, looking at her tenderly. "I''m a demon," Isabella explained when she noticed the lingering confusion in Rosalie''s eyes. To prove it, she unfurled her wings, allowing them to spread wide, and her tail swayed with its sharp end glinting in the sunlight. Rosalie gasped, captivated by Isabella''s beauty. For the first time, she felt an overwhelming rush of emotion and love, the kind that only a mate could feel. She had an urge to embrace Isabella but feared it might be unwelcome. Sensing Rosalie''s dilemma, Isabella took her hand, prompting her to stand. Nyxshade slid from Rosalie''s lap and settled beside her. Drawing Rosalie close, Isabella wrapped her in her white wings. Rosalie leaned into Isabella''s chest, her 6-foot frame fitting perfectly with Isabella''s towering 7-foot height. She held onto Isabella tightly, as though afraid she might vanish. "Is this a dream?" Rosalie whispered. Isabella lifted Rosalie''s chin and kissed her softly, pouring all her love into the gesture. Pulling back slightly, she rested her forehead against Rosalie''s. "Does this still feel like a dream?" Rosalie chuckled. "No, and I''m glad it isn''t." "Good," Isabella smirked, glancing at a nearby tree. "If that didn''t convince you, I''d have to find other ways¡ªlike take you on that tree over there." Rosalie playfully slapped Isabella''s shoulder. "You''re going to be a handful, aren''t you?" "Maybe," Isabella laughed. Rosalie took in her appearance, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "What kind of demon are you?" Rosalie asked, still slightly in awe. "I thought demons had red skin and wings without feathers." "Most demons do," Isabella admitted. "But I was born different. I''m a warrior demon. I used to be part of the demon army." Rosalie squeezed Isabella''s hand, sensing her sadness. "Was it difficult? Because you''re different." "Yes," Isabella replied softly. "But I''ll tell you about it someday, I promise." "Whenever you''re ready," Rosalie said, kissing Isabella''s hand tenderly. "Now," Isabella said, lacing her fingers through Rosalie''s as they began to walk, Nyxshade trotting behind them, "there are a few things you should know about our bond." "Okay," Rosalie nodded, listening intently. "First, your body and mind will be shielded from danger, constantly." "Wow?" "Really. And after we¡ consummate our bond, you''ll receive a gift." Rosalie stopped, looking at Isabella with intrigue. "What kind of gift?" "Honestly, I don''t know," Isabella said, smirking. "We''ll find out after we make love." She waggled her eyebrows playfully. Rosalie laughed, a lightness in her heart. "Oh great, I found another Emmett!" "Who''s Emmett?" Isabella''s playful demeanor darkened slightly. "He''s not your boyfriend, is he?" "No, no!" Rosalie said quickly, hugging Isabella. "Emmett is my best friend. He always looks out for me." Isabella relaxed, sighing in relief. "Good. And you must know something important, Rosalie¡ªa demon''s mate is everything to them. We would kill and torture to protect our mates. Do you understand?" Rosalie pulled Isabella into a gentle kiss. "Yes, I understand." ROSALIES FAMILY ROSALIE''S FAMILY Rosalie smiled, not expecting to meet her mate during a hunting trip. She held onto Isabella''s hand as Isabella led her forward, with Nyxshade following close behind. They chatted about their lives, hopes, dreams, and favorite things. As the Cullen house came into view, Isabella remained unworried; her shield would prevent anyone from sensing their arrival or overhearing their conversation. Isabella stopped, and Rosalie halted beside her. Gently, Isabella lifted Rosalie''s chin. "You should know that animal blood isn''t good for you. Eventually, it deteriorates the body and drives vampires to madness. I''ve seen it happen to a few who thought feeding on animals was a noble sacrifice, but they ended up suffering and, in some cases, dying." "But Carlisle said it''s safe," Rosalie replied, her brows furrowing. "He believed we''d be closer to humanity by feeding on animals. I didn''t know it would lead to that." "Who is Carlisle?" Isabella asked. "My coven leader. He''s also the one who turned me," Rosalie answered quietly. Isabella sighed. "Human blood provides more nutrients and keeps your body stronger. If you faced a vampire who drinks human blood, you''d be at a disadvantage. I watched you while you hunted; it took you minutes to realize I was there. As your mate, you should sense me immediately when I''m near, animal blood dulls the senses." Rosalie exhaled heavily, and Isabella lifted Rosalie''s hand to her lips. "Please think about it. I want you healthy and happy. And you don''t have to hunt innocents; there are criminals, bad humans, the world is full of them, unfortunately." "I''ll think about it," Rosalie replied. Isabella smiled. "Thank you. Will you have dinner with me tomorrow night?" Rosalie smiled. "Yes, I will." "Good, I''ll pick you up at eight." Isabella leaned in, kissing Rosalie softly, her emotions filled with love. Rosalie felt her toes curl in response. Isabella pulled back, looking into Rosalie''s eyes. "If you ever need me, just think of me and call my name, and I''ll be by your side immediately." "That''s it? It works like that?" Rosalie asked, intrigued. "Yes, just like that. Call me if you feel lonely at night, and I''ll¡" Isabella trailed off, licking her lips. "Okay, okay, I got the picture!" Rosalie laughed, amused at Isabella''s antics. Isabella''s face brightened. "Do you get the picture?" she teased. Rosalie chuckled. "You''re going to be a handful, aren''t you?" Isabella smiled mischievously. "I''ll see you tomorrow, Rose, and wear something sexy for our date." Rosalie grinned. "See you then." She hugged Isabella tightly, playfully squeezing her ass before stepping back with a wink. "You know, you could hold it a little longer." Rosalie laughed at her mate''s antics as she turned to leave, Nyxshade let out a small roar and jumped onto Rosalie''s back. Isabella laughed. "It seems she doesn''t want you to leave!" Rosalie laughed, surprised when Nyxshade shrank in size and perched comfortably on her shoulder. "She can change her size?" Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. "Yes," Isabella replied, watching Nyx with admiration. "Go ahead, pet her. She''s not ready to leave yet." Rosalie held Nyxshade close and petted her, feeling the soft vibrations of Nyx''s purring. "Are you sure it''s okay to bring her with me?" "Yes, Nyx will find me when she''s ready," Isabella assured her. Rosalie smiled as Isabella stepped closer, kissing her deeply and leaving her with a lovestruck grin. Rosalie walked toward her home, Nyxshade now comfortably settled on her shoulder, waving a small paw goodbye to Isabella. Isabella whispered, "Take care of her, Nyx." Though too quiet for Rosalie to hear, Nyx nodded knowingly. Once Rosalie was safely inside, Isabella vanished in a puff of dark smoke. Inside, Alice greeted her, eyes wide with curiosity. "Um, Rose? Is that a cat in your arms?" Rosalie nodded, stroking Nyx as she purred contentedly. "This is Nyxshade, my new friend. Isn''t she beautiful?" Alice stepped closer, gazing at Nyx. "How did you get her to trust you? Animals are usually terrified of us." "I don''t know; she just jumped on me when she saw me." "That''s¡ strange." Alice tilted her head. Rosalie smiled fondly. "But I love her already. Isn''t that right, Nyx? You''re so beautiful." She scratched Nyx''s head, causing her to purr even louder. "Can I pet her?" Alice asked. "I''m not sure; ask her," Rosalie replied playfully. Alice hesitantly reached out, but Nyxshade hissed, her fur standing on end. She then leaped back to Rosalie''s shoulder. "Sorry, Alice. She doesn''t trust you yet," Rosalie explained, petting Nyx to calm her down. Emmett came barreling down the stairs with Jasper, Edward, and Esme in tow. "Rose, how did you get permission to bring a pet home when I can''t?" "This is different, Emmett," Rosalie explained. "The bear you wanted was too big to keep in the house and it''s terrified of us. Nyxshade is small and seems unbothered by vampires." Nyxshade sat on Rosalie''s shoulder, watching the vampires intently. Edward stared, his face intense with concentration. "Did you already name her?" Jasper asked. No¡" Rosalie hesitated, torn between keeping Isabella a secret and being open with her family. Sensing Rosalie''s hesitation, Nyxshade rubbed her head against Rosalie''s cheek, purring reassuringly. Esme sensed Rosalie''s unease. "It''s okay, dear. You can tell us." Rosalie took a deep breath. "After my hunting trip, Nyxshade appeared and jumped on me. Then¡ a beautiful woman emerged from the forest. She introduced herself as Nyx''s owner. She''s my mate." Alice''s eyes widened. "Wait, what? Why didn''t I see this?" "Oh, that''s wonderful, dear!" Esme exclaimed, hugging Rosalie carefully so as not to jolt Nyx. "Yeah, congrats, Rose!" Emmett grinned. Esme stepped back, eyeing Nyx. "So, this is her¡ pet?" "No," Rosalie corrected. "She said they''re more like friends." Jasper''s brow furrowed. "Is she human? Why would she be deep in the forest if she were?" "And why can''t I read your mind?" Edward asked, his voice tense. "Is it her doing?" Rosalie looked at them, her face growing distrustful. "It''s none of your business what my mate is," she retorted. "And you have no right to invade my mind, Edward!" Edward''s face contorted with anger as he moved toward her, fangs bared, eyes black. Nyxshade leaped from Rosalie''s shoulder, growing to the size of a tiger mid-air, and knocked Edward into a wall, sending him crashing outside. Emmett whistled in admiration. "You''re right, Rose. She''s amazing." Alice nodded, equally impressed. "Yes, she is." Edward reentered, brushing off the dust on his clothes. "I knew you were hiding something. I don''t like that I can''t read your mind." Nyxshade growled fiercely, taking a defensive stance in front of Rosalie. "I don''t give a damn what you like, Edward. You''re just a controlling jerk," Rosalie shot back. Edward hissed, lunging at her, his nails elongated. "EDWARD. STOP. THIS." Esme shouted. But Edward ignored her. Everyone else just watched the interesting scene Nyxshade pounced, grabbing his neck with her powerful jaws as Edward cried out in pain, her teeth piercing his neck. Edward''s eyes widen in fear, he is surprised that Nyxshade teeth were able to price his diamond skin. Rosalie approached and petted Nyx''s head. "Thank you," she whispered, then turned to Edward. "Let this be a lesson, Edward. Stay away from me, or you''ll regret it. Do you understand?" Grinding his teeth, Edward muttered, "Yes." "Good," Rosalie said, softening her gaze as she turned back to Nyx. "Let him go. I hope you didn''t catch anything by having him in your mouth." Nyxshade released Edward, shrinking back down to sit proudly on Rosalie''s shoulder, hissing a final warning. Rosalie smiled, ascending the stairs with Alice and Emmett close behind. As Edward picked himself up, holding his injured neck, he muttered, "Carlisle will hear of this." Esme shook her head in disappointment. "I''m sure he will," she said, heading upstairs. Jasper stared darkly at the hole in the wall, his thoughts unreadable. VISITORS VISITORS Isabella appeared in the middle of her living room and sighed deeply. She had just met her mate, and a sharp pain echoed in her heart. She knew there was nothing she could do until the mate bond was consummated. "For a powerful warrior demon, you should be more aware of your surroundings," a voice said from the shadows. Isabella smirked and turned her head slightly. "I knew you were there the moment I appeared, Mother. And I also knew you weren''t a threat." "Is that so?" Lilith replied, uncloaking herself. She stepped forward and hugged her daughter tightly. "How have you been, child?" "I''m doing well," Isabella replied softly, returning the hug. She had missed her mother dearly. After a moment, Lilith pulled back and gently lifted Isabella''s chin, studying her face. "Hmm, there''s something different about you." Isabella arched a brow. "Well, I did wash and curl my hair this morning." Lilith sighed and smiled knowingly. "You found your mate. After only a week here, no less. You wasted no time, did you?" Isabella shrugged and brushed off imaginary dust from her shoulder. "That''s how I roll." Lilith laughed, pride shining in her eyes. "Tell me about her." Isabella hesitated. "How did you know it''s a her?" Lilith smirked. "You''re my daughter. I''ve known you liked women since you were five." "Five? Mother, how could you possibly know that when I was so young?" "Never mind that," Lilith said with a wave of her hand. "Tell me about her." Isabella sighed. "Her name is Rosalie Hale. She''s a vampire¡ªa vegetarian, if you can believe it. She feeds on animals. She loves cars, and hiking, just like me." "Wait." Lilith raised a hand, her eyes narrowing. "She''s a vampire? And she feeds on animals?" "Yes, and yes. I''ve already told her that her diet will eventually kill her." "And?" "She said she''ll think about it," Isabella replied with a shrug. Lilith took Isabella''s hand, squeezing it affectionately. "You must convince her, dear. If she dies, you know what will happen." "I do, Mother. Don''t worry. She''s smart; she''ll make the right choice." Lilith sighed in relief but added, "I can talk to her if¡ª"Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. "No, no, no," Isabella interrupted, raising a hand. "Your talks always involve ''showing'' things, and they never end well." Lilith smirked. "It''s the only way to ensure you don''t forget my lessons." "Trust me, Mother," Isabella said, shuddering slightly. "I will never forget." "Good." Lilith smiled. "But please, let me know if she needs help." "I will." Isabella said. "And don''t tell anyone about her." "Not even father." "Especially him," Isabella said darkly. Lilith nodded. "I promise. He loves you, you know." "Really? I must''ve missed that when he sent an army to kill me for saving an innocent human." Lilith sighed. "You''re right. No one will hear about Rosalie from me." Isabella eyed her mother suspiciously. "From you. Does anyone else know I''m here?" "No, child. I made sure of that." "Good. Because if I see any of my brothers, I will kill them." "Lilith sighed again. "I know. But¡" "But what?" "Andell is looking for you." Isabella smirked. "Oh? How''s his hand? Did it grow back?" Lilith shook her head. "It''s still growing." "Damnit!" "Isabella!" "He deserved it." "Damned fool, doesn''t know how to pick his battle or to win one" Isabella muttered. Lilith let out a heavy sigh. "I have no regrets," Isabella said with a shrug. Lilith turned to the window, watching the trees sway gently in the breeze. "I just wish all of you could get along," she murmured. Isabella sighed. "Mother, I think you''re forgetting¡ªwe''re demons." Lilith chuckled. "So true. But you get along with Amelia." "Well, yes," Isabella admitted. "My sister is something, isn''t she?" Lilith turned back to face Isabella, a fond smile on her lips. "Yes, she is. I miss her." "I missed her too, " Isabella smiled. "Do you know where she is?" Before Lilith could reply, Isabella suddenly unsheathed her sword and blocked an attack aimed at her head. With a swift kick, she sent the assailant flying through the door, shattering it into splinters. Lilith drew her own sword but stopped short when she saw who it was. "Andell," she said, exasperated, resheathing her weapon as she followed Isabella outside. Isabella pressed her sword against Andell''s throat. "You owe me a new door, brother. Why bother trying? I''m the best fighter." "No, you''re not!" Andell snapped, his fangs bared in frustration. "I would''ve won if you hadn''t cut off my arm!" He gestured to his slowly regenerating limb, his red skin glistening in the sunlight. His long black horns pointed skyward as he shook his head in anger. "That''s no excuse. You''re a demon. You''re supposed to be able to fight until your last breath." Isabella pressed her blade harder against his throat, piercing his skin slightly. "Isabella, don''t kill your brother," Lilith said with a weary sigh. "He''s not my brother," Isabella retorted coldly. "I''m beginning to think I''m not part of this family at all." "You are right about that." Andell sneered. "Andell," Lilith said firmly, "go home." "I''m not leaving until she pays for what she''s done!" Andell growled, retrieving his fallen sword. "She''ll kill you if you persist," Lilith warned. "I will not lose to an halfling," Andell sneered. "What?" "That''s what you are¡ªa halfling. Why do you think none of us, except Amelia, can stand you?" Isabella turned to Lilith, her eyes narrowing. "What is he talking about, Mother?" "I will¡ª" Andell seized the distraction and attacked again. But Isabella was ready, sidestepping his strike and severing his other hand with a clean sweep of her blade. "You bitch!" Andell roared, black blood spurting from his wound. "Now You have two hands to grow back." Isabella smiled evily. "I''m going to kill you." Andell toook a stepped towards Isabella. "With what?" Isabella raise a brow. "Go home, Andell. This fight is over," Lilith said, her voice sharp with annoyance. "You love her more than us!" Andell shouted. "Mark my words, Mother. I will find a way to kill your favorite child." With that, he disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Isabella resheathed her sword. "Now that the nuisance is gone, what did he mean by ''halfling''?" Lilith cursed under her breath, reluctant to reveal the truth. Finally, she stepped closer and took Isabella''s hands, squeezing them gently. "Victor isn''t your father." "What?" Isabella asked, stunned. "In fact," Lilith continued hesitantly, "you don''t have a father." "What?" Isabella''s confusion deepened. "You have another mother." "Well, damn," Isabella said, her shock giving way to bemusement. "I Didn''t see that coming." CONFRONTATION CONFRONTATION "Okay, Rose, where did you get that freaky cat?" Nyx hissed at the disrespect. She was in her small form, resting on Rosalie''s lap while Rosalie leaned against the headboard of her bed, petting her. Emmett looked at Nyx suspiciously. He was sitting on the edge of Rosalie''s bed. "Can she understand me?" he asked, sitting on the edge of Rosalie''s bed. Rosalie smirked. "Yes, she does, Emmett. And watch what you say around her." "Where''s she from?" Alice asked, sitting beside Emmett on the edge of Rosalie''s bed. Rosalie sighed, wondering if she should tell her family about Isabella''s true nature. There was a knock at the door. "Come in," Rosalie called. Esme entered, locking the door behind her. She had a contemplative look on her face. "What''s wrong, Esme?" Rosalie asked. She was always closer to Esme than Carlisle. She didn''t trust Carlisle at all. She patted the bed beside her, inviting Esme to sit beside her. Esme sat down, mirroring Rosalie''s position on the bed. Nyx looked at her, then jumped up to lie on Esme''s lap. "Oh, she likes you," Rosalie said, surprised by Esme''s expression. "Go ahead, pet her." Esme hesitated before petting Nyx. The cat began to purr, and Rosalie smiled. "Why doesn''t she want me to pet her?" Alice pouted. "She doesn''t trust you yet, Alice," Rosalie replied. "But she likes you and Esme, immediately." "I don''t know what to say about that, Alice," Rosalie said. Esme looked at Rosalie with a raised brow. "Where is she from?" "She''s my mate''s companion." "Can I assume that your mate is not human?" Esme asked. "Yes, that''s correct," Rosalie replied, holding her hand to stop Alice from asking. "No, Alice, I''m not going to reveal what my mate is just yet." "You don''t have to," Emmett interjected. "I already know what she is." "Oh really? Then tell us, Emmett. What is my mate?" Rosalie asked. "Well¡ she owns a black cat that can change sizes. I''d say she''s a witch," Emmett said confidently. "Definitely a witch!" Alice joined in. "No, Emmett, you''re wrong," Rosalie laughed. "A shapeshifter?" Alice guessed. "Nope, wrong again," Rosalie said. Emmett scratched his head. "A werewolf?" he ventured. Rosalie gave him a look. "No, Emmett, she''s not a werewolf. Have you ever heard of a werewolf having a cat for a companion?" "Well, no, but it could happen," Emmett said with a shrug. Rosalie sighed. Esme chuckled. "As much as I love this game you''ve got going on, I need to warn you, Rose," Esme said, looking at Rosalie seriously. Rosalie turned to Esme. "What''s wrong?" "Jasper is surrounded by darkness. I felt it when I left downstairs," Esme said. "And Edward is planning to kill you." "Those assholes," Emmett muttered, angry. "I''m not surprised by Edward, but why is Jasper being like this?" "I think he knows how powerful Nyx is, and that power extends to your mate. I think he''s going to try to get your mate for himself," Esme warned. "He always loves power."This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Nyx hissed, echoing the tension in the room. Fortunately, the room was soundproof, so their conversation remained private. "Are you sure?" Alice asked, her voice full of concern. She knew that Esme had the gift of knowing people''s true intentions just by looking at them. Sometimes, Esme could pick up on things even Alice couldn''t. Esme had been the one to warn Alice that Jasper was using her and was not her true mate. Alice was still grateful for that warning. Only the three of them¡ªAlice, Rosalie, and Emmett¡ªknew about Esme''s gift. Not even Carlisle knew. Carlisle had changed Esme, hoping she would become his mate, but Esme woke up with the ability to sense Carlisle''s true intentions. She could have left, but something told her to stay. And now she knew why. Meeting Emmett, Rosalie, and Alice had been a joy. Esme had taken them in as her children, even though she was in Carlisle''s coven. She''d made it clear to him that she did not want any romantic relationship with him. Carlisle had been angry at first but had agreed, and now they all knew how to avoid Edward''s gift so he wouldn''t learn their private matters. "Jasper will never be able to control my mate," Rosalie said firmly. "And I hope he doesn''t try. He will only meet his death if he messes with her." Rosalie turned to Esme. "Thanks for the warning. "I will always protect all of you in any way I can," Esme said. "I''m grateful for that," Alice said, squeezing Esme''s hand affectionately. "What are you going to do, Rose?" Emmett asked. "I''m going to leave this coven." "You can''t!" Alice said, her voice full of worry. "Listen to me," Rosalie said, looking serious. "My mate told me that animal blood is poison to our bodies, and it will eventually kill us. I can sense that my mate is not lying to me, and I think you should heed the warning too. I''m going to change my diet to human blood." "But Rose, I don''t want to kill innocent humans," Alice said. "You can hunt the bad humans¡ªmurderers, rapists¡ªor drink from blood bags. It''s your choice. But I''m leaving because I know once I change my diet, Carlisle will punish me or banish me from his coven. Might as well I leave." "Can I come with you?" Emmett asked. "Me too," Alice said. "There is nothing for me here if all of you leave, I''m coming too, Esme added. "Are you willing to change your diet?" Rosalie asked. "Yes, I will," Emmett said. "If it ends up killing me, then I''ll switch to human blood." Alice sighed, "Me Too." "I agreed as well, Esme said." "Okay, good. I have a date with Isabella tomorrow night. I''ll warn her about Jasper. In the meantime, I think we should rent an apartment until we can decide what to do from there." "Yes, that''s a good plan," Alice agreed. "When do we leave?" Emmett asked. "Now would be good. Why wait? It''s not like we have anything else to do," Rosalie said. "Great! I''m going to pack," Alice said, standing up and leaving the room. "Me too," Emmett added as he followed. Esme sighed. "Carlisle not going to take this well," she said, still petting Nyx. "I know, but he won''t be able to stop us," Rosalie said with conviction. "Go pack, Esme. I''ll do the same." Esme got up and placed Nyx on the bed, petting her one last time before leaving to pack. -Meanwhile, Carlisle arrived home. He hadn''t even set his bag down before Edward started filling him in on the events that had happened. Carlisle couldn''t believe it about Nyx, but he knew his son wasn''t lying. Rosalie came down the stairs with Esme, Alice, and Emmett behind her. They all had suitcases in their hands, and Nyx walked in front of Rosalie in her tiger-sized form. "What''s going on here?" Carlisle asked, worry in his tone. "We''re leaving," Rosalie said. "What? Why?" Carlisle asked. "It''s because of her mate," Edward sneered. "Don''t look so surprised, Carlisle. I wanted to leave the moment you changed me." Carlisle sighed. "Esme, I thought things were progressing between us¡" "You thought wrong," Esme replied. "It''s time I leave. The only reason I''m here is because of my children." Carlisle''s anger flared. "You see here, you bitch," he hissed, revealing his true self. "I did everything for you, and this is how you repay me? No. None of you are leaving. I own you. I own you all." Rosalie laughed. "You own nothing. Let''s go, guys." Carlisle stepped forward, blocking their way. Edward and Jasper followed suit. "You must see reason," Jasper said. "I think Rosalie''s mate is dangerous to all of us," he added. Nyx roared, her fur standing on end, showing her displeasure as she stepped in front of Rosalie. "Be careful," Edward said, his voice filled with tension as he touched his healed neck. "That thing can pierce our skin." "It doesn''t matter," Rosalie snapped. "None of you can fight off all of us, move, or else." "You''re not going to leave," Carlisle gritted out. "No," Alice said, shaking her head. "If we stay, we will all be dead in the future. We should leave." Carlisle glared at Alice. "Is that what you see?" "Yes," Alice replied. "It''s the future, and you should know, Carlisle, that animal blood is poison to us. I suggest you change your diet." "Where the hell do you hear that," Carlisle asked in a hard tone. "Rosalie has already corrupted them, Carlisle. We don''t need them. Edward sneered. "Let them leave." "No. They are part of my coven, and that bond will last forever. This nonsense about animals is a lie¡ªI¡¯m not wrong. I¡¯m always right!" Carlisle''s words were laced with cold certainty. Rosalie was tired of this discussion if you could call it that. "Let''s go guys." She said making a move to leave. Carlise hissed, eyes black, claws out as he ran towards Rosalie, he would stop her even if he had to kill her. Nyx¡¯s roar cut through the air. With lightning speed, Nyx lunged at Carlisle, sinking her fangs deep into his neck. Preventing him from reaching Rosalie. Carlisle''s scream echoed in the room, his hands desperately trying to pry Nyx off. The force of the bite sent waves of pain coursing through him, but it was Edward who acted first. With a swift motion, Edward kicked Nyx with all his strength, sending her crashing into the nearby wall with a deafening thud. "No!" Rosalie screamed, her voice filled with panic as she rushed towards Nyx to check on her. Emmett hissed in anger with Alice and Esme mirrored Emmett. They''re going to defend and protect Rosalie and Nyx. Edward and Jasper stood in between Carlise and his siblings, ready for the next move. CONFRONTATION PART 2 CONFRONTATION PART 2 "Please, you must see reason. This is tearing our family apart!" Carlisle pleaded, desperation clear in his voice. "Family?" Rosalie repeated with disdain, her expression cold. Carefully placing Nyx''s head down, she rose slowly, her movements deliberate. She stepped forward, positioning herself protectively before Esme and the others. "We haven''t been a family in a long time. You favor Edward and Jasper, using the rest of us only when convenient for you. We''re nothing more than tools to you. Well, no more." "More lies to justify yourself," Edward sneered, his voice dripping with venom. "You''re just saying this because you want to run to your mate." "No." Rosalie shook her head firmly, her golden hair shimmering in the dim light. "I''ve been planning to leave for a long time." She sighed, her voice heavy with emotion. "Please," Carlisle begged again, his tone softer but no less desperate. "If you''re unhappy, we can change things. I promise." "Don''t make promises you can''t keep, Carlisle," Esme interjected sharply, her eyes narrowing. "Let''s just kill them," Edward suggested with a sinister smirk, taking a threatening step forward. "No!" Carlisle barked, raising his hand to stop him. "All I ask is that you reconsider." Rosalie stared at Carlisle, her patience waning. "No," she replied firmly, her tone final. She had endured enough. Carlisle sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping. "We could be a formidable coven if you stayed. But if you insist on leaving... then go." Rosalie hesitated, suspicious of his sudden leniency, but began to step away, moving back toward Nyx. Suddenly, Carlisle''s voice rang out, cold and filled with anger. "Kill them." "My pleasure," Edward hissed, his eyes black as coal. His claws and fangs extended as he lunged toward Rosalie, who knelt protectively by Nyx. Before Edward could reach her, a figure appeared in a blur of movement. Isabella appeared and intercepted him, her hand locking around his neck with an iron grip. Her blue eyes glowed with a dangerous light as she squeezed, cutting off his air supply. Beside her, another figure, her mother Lilith, wielded a sword that glinted ominously. With a single swing, Lilith severed Jasper''s legs at the knees, sending him crashing to the ground, blood and venom pooling around him.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? She could feel her mate''s pain and anger coursing through her. "Who the hell are you?" Carlisle stammered, stunned by the newcomers'' swift and brutal intervention. Isabella ignored him, turning to Rosalie. Her expression softened as she addressed her mate. "Rose, my love, look at me," she said gently, still holding the struggling Edward in her grip. Rosalie''s voice trembled as she pointed to Edward. "He killed Nyx." Isabella sighed and glanced at the lifeless form of Nyxshade. She extended her free hand toward the creature, and its body dissolved into black mist, flowing into her palm. "Nyx will be fine, my love," Isabella reassured her. Rosalie got up and went to Isabella''s side."Promise?" Rosalie asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Promise," Isabella replied kissing Rosalie''s forehead. Then, turning her gaze to Edward, she shook him violently in her grasp. "So, this is why Nyx was hurt?" she asked coldly. "Yes!" Rosalie snapped, her anger flaring. "Ok." Isabella tossed Edward aside like a rag doll and flicked her hand. Instantly, his body froze mid-air, suspended in an invisible grip. "Put me down!" Edward screamed, his voice shrill with fear. Isabella rolled her eyes. With a wave of her hand, Edward''s legs and arms suddenly detached from his torso, falling to the ground with a sickening thud. His screams of agony filled the air. "Please have mercy," Edward cried. "Mercy?" Isabella scoffed, laughing darkly. "You don''t know who you''re talking to. We don''t do mercy." Her glowing eyes bore into Edward''s, her voice a hiss. "Let this be a warning. If I ever see you near my mate or anything that''s mine, I will burn you from the inside out. Do you understand me?" Edward nodded frantically, his face pale with terror. "I... "You can''t do this!" Carlisle protested, cutting what Edward was about to say. Isabella turned her gaze to him, eyes brightening with a sinister smile on her face. Carlisle''s voice trembling as he clutched his chest in pain, he fell to his knees, gasping. Feeling like his chest is on fire. "Allow him to speak," Isabella said dismissively, releasing Carlisle from the invisible fire burning inside of him. "I want to hear his words." "Why don''t you just kill him and be done with it, child?" Lilith interjected, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Oh, I will," Isabella replied, her smile sinister. "But not yet." She turned back to Edward, her voice icy. "I''m waiting for your answer, boy." "Yes!" Edward gasped, his voice cracking with fear. "Good." Isabella released him, letting his head hit the ground with a dull thud. "Edward!" Carlisle cried out, rushing to his dismembered son. Jasper, still immobilized, desperately tried to reattach his legs. Isabella turned back to Rosalie, her expression softening. "Let''s go home, Rose. You''re not staying here with them." "I was trying to leave when they stopped me," Rosalie explained. "I''ll want details later," Isabella said, brushing a stray lock of hair from Rosalie''s face. "Wait! What about us?" Emmett called out hesitantly, his voice betraying his nervousness. "What about you?" Isabella asked, raising a brow. "That''s Emmett," Rosalie explained softly. Isabella scrutinized him for a moment before relenting. "Fine. Take your things." She gestured toward the suitcases on the ground. "Us too?" Alice asked nervously. Isabella sighed as Rosalie kissed Isabella on her right cheek, "It''s ok, this is Alice and Esme can they come with us too?" "Fine," Isabella said exasperated As they gathered their belongings, the group vanished in a swirl of black smoke, leaving behind a broken and defeated coven. A SINISTER PLAN A SINISTER PLAN Carlisle worked methodically, his hands steady despite the gruesome task. Edward''s body rested on the sofa, and Carlisle was carefully reattaching Edward¡¯s severed head to his body. His limbs, already reattached, were healing slowly, the ragged wounds still raw and venom oozing faintly. Behind him, Jasper sat on the floor, grimacing as he waited for his leg to mend after it had been forcibly reattached. Carlisle adjusted Edward¡¯s head, holding it in place. "I know what you¡¯re thinking," he said, his voice heavy with frustration. "But Rosalie¡¯s mate is too dangerous¡ªtoo powerful. You saw what she did to Edward. All she had to do was lift her hand, and he was in pieces." He exhaled sharply, his brow furrowed. "No, there must be something I can do. I refuse to accept defeat. No one on this earth is untouchable. We just need to find the right way to deal with her." Jasper sighed, his gaze distant. Pursuing this, he knew, could very well end in his death. But a calculating look crossed his face. He thought I might control Rosalie¡¯s mate if I played this right. With that power, I could easily overthrow the Volturi. Jasper sneered inwardly. "The Volturi," he muttered, "a council run by women who let emotions dictate their actions. Vampires need strong, logical leaders¡ªnot fragile rulers." Pulling Jasper from his thoughts, Carlisle added, "We need to figure out who¡ªor rather, what¡ªRosalie¡¯s mate is. Then we can come up with a plan." "A plan, you say?" The words came from nowhere, chilling the air. Carlisle and Jasper froze, their eyes darting toward the staircase. Black mist swirled at the base, curling ominously. Their instincts screamed danger as the mist coalesced into a figure¡ªa demon, radiating malice. The creature had skin the color of blood, pointed ears, and sharp fangs that gleamed menacingly. A long, barbed tail swayed behind him like a serpent ready to strike. He was dressed impeccably in a black Armani suit with a crimson tie, polished black shoes, and a wide-brimmed hat pierced by two sharp horns. Leaning casually against the staircase, he smirked. "I¡¯ve got to say," the demon drawled, his voice dripping with mockery, "you were beaten quite thoroughly by my sister. She didn¡¯t even draw her sword, yet here you are, scrambling for a plan. I admire your stupidity¡ or is it bravery? No, just stupidity." Andell shook his head. Carlisle finally found his voice, though it trembled with fear. "Who the hell are you?" The demon tipped his hat mockingly. "Andell, at your service." "You¡¯re a demon," Jasper blurted, awe and apprehension mingling in his tone. "Well, this one¡¯s quick on the uptake," Andell quipped. "Let¡¯s get down to business. You¡¯re scheming against my dear sister, Isabella, aren¡¯t you?"This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Carlisle swallowed hard. "Your sister¡ the one who tore Edward apart?" "Give the man a prize," Andell said with mock enthusiasm. "Yes, my sister. She¡¯s a warrior demon, nearly impossible to kill. But¡" His tone darkened. "If you use her mate as leverage, it¡¯s doable." "Why help us kill your sister?" Jasper asked, his voice laced with suspicion. Andell¡¯s smile vanished, replaced with cold disdain. "I have no love for Isabella. She should be dead." With a wave of his hand, a silver knife materialized on the coffee table. The blade shimmered with an eerie white glow, its hilt carved from ivory. Carlisle picked it up cautiously but still pricked his finger on the edge. Venom and blood dripped from the wound. "Careful," Andell warned, his tone sharp. "That blade is deadly¡ªto demons and other creatures. Handle it wisely." Jasper narrowed his eyes. "And what if we decided to use it on you?" Before the words settled, Jasper screamed, clutching his chest as searing pain wracked his body. Andell¡¯s expression turned deadly. "Try it, and I¡¯ll burn you to ash before you even move. Don¡¯t forget, vampire, I¡¯m the one helping you." Jasper collapsed, vomiting venom as the pain abruptly ceased. Carlisle steadied him, glaring at Andell. Edward groaned, all eyes in the room looked at him. His vision slowly returned as his body felt numbed and a firm cold grip holding his body in place, he could not explain that feeling but fear was slowly developing in his body. Blinking, he found himself seated on a sofa, he was startled to see an unfamiliar creature by the stairs. " What....what is that thing." "Thing," Andell sneered. "Mind your manners boy, or you will regret it," "Don''t talk to me like that....." "Edward," Carlisle warned. Edward ignored him. "Do you know who I am?" "Edward!" Carlisle shouted. "Do I look like I give a damned," Andell smirked, daring the boy to keep talking. Once again Edward ignored Carlisle. His body is still healing, but he didn''t let that stop him from letting the strange creature know that he''s the more powerful and that he should be at his feet. "Listen to me you....." The pain began to wrack Edward''s body, his torso felt like it was on fire as he began to scream. "I have enough of your lip, boy," Andell sneered as he gave Edward a steely stare while burning him from the inside out. The smell of ashes and dead flesh polluted the air as Edward''s scream became louder, Carlise could see Edward''s torso turning black and crumbling. "Please stop," Carlisle pleaded. "He didn''t mean to offend you." Andell looked at the idiots before him, if he didn''t need them to take care of his Isabella, he would kill them. He stopped burning Edward and then looked at each of the men. "Do you have any questions?" Andell asked his voice becoming hard with his anger. Carlisle looked at Edward, he could see his son''s pain was lessened but his skin was charred black and peeling away. He swallowed hard and looked at Andell, hoping that his face didn''t show his fear. "How are we supposed to get close enough to Isabella to use this?" Andell sighed, exasperated. "Didn''t we go through this before, figure it out." With that, he vanished in a puff of black smoke. Carlisle helped Jasper sit up as he looked at Edward who was passed out from the intense pain. He didn''t know that could happen to a vampire. "Are we going through with this?" Jasper asked hesitation in his voice. Carlisle¡¯s expression hardened. "Yes. This is our chance to destroy the queens and take what¡¯s rightfully ours. We¡¯ll be kings." "What about Edward?" Jasper asked, his body still trembling from the earlier ordeal. Carlisle signed. "I''m afraid that Edward is too prideful and arrogant to live long enough to see that happen but if he does he''ll be king too." "Ok, Jasper said then smirked weakly. "King Jasper¡ I like the sound of that." "But first we need to get rid of Isabella and the others, I have a feeling that they will be a problem," Carlisle said bitterly. "I agreed, Jasper said thoughtfully. "Then it¡¯s settled," Carlisle said grimly. Authors Note Author¡¯s Note: Hi everyone! Unfortunately, I''m unable to update Rosalie''s Demon at this time. HOME HOME Isabella appeared in her living room, tightly hugged by Rosalie, with Esme, Alice, and Emmett beside her. Moments later, Isabella''s mother, Lilith, materialized beside her. "Well, I see you have a lot to take care of," Lilith remarked, her voice smooth but laced with mischief. Lilith approached Rosalie with a graceful stride. "Well, my dear, Isabella has chosen well," she said with a sly smile. "Mother," Isabella interjected with a sigh. Lilith ignores her daughter and smirks before returning to Rosalie and continues. "My name is Lilith. As you can tell, I¡¯m Isabella¡¯s mother." Rosalie smiled politely. "It¡¯s nice to meet you." "Don¡¯t let this woman fool you, Rose," Isabella cut in sharply. "This woman is trouble." "And you, my dear child," Lilith interrupted with a grin, "have company. I can answer your questions another time." "You¡¯re stalling," Isabella accused, her tone edged with irritation. She wanted to know who her other mother was or is it is, she didn''t know if her other mother was still alive and she had so many other questions that she needed answers to. Lilith merely smiled. "Am I?" She turned to Rosalie, gently taking one of her hands and squeezing it affectionately. "We¡¯ll get to know each other another time, my dear. And you, my daughter, stay out of trouble." Isabella sighed dramatically. "You know, Mother, I think you forget that I am a demon. If we don¡¯t find trouble, it finds us." Alice, Emmemt, and Esme all gasp at what Isabella is. Everyone else ignores them. Lilith stepped closer and embraced Isabella tightly. "I¡¯ll talk to you soon." "You better, or I¡¯ll come to hell and find you," Isabella warned, hugging her mother back. Lilith broke the hug with a laugh, tapped Isabella on the cheek, and disappeared in a puff of black smoke. "Okay then," Isabella said. "Now that the annoying woman is gone, can someone tell me what exactly happened?" Rosalie raised an eyebrow. "Annoying, she¡¯s your mother?" Isabella smirked and waved Rosalie off. "Don¡¯t worry about it. I¡¯ve called her worse, if I can get away with it, that woman can be a terrifying demon when she wants to be." Esme cleared her throat. "I wanted to thank you for letting us stay here until we sort things out." "Who said you were staying here?" Isabella retorted with a smirk. Rosalie rolled her eyes and lightly pushed Isabella. "Don¡¯t listen to her, Esme. She¡¯s a sweetheart once you get to know her." She leaned over and kissed Isabella on the cheek.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. "Isabella, this is Esme, as you¡¯ve heard. That¡¯s Alice, and that¡¯s Emmett. Everyone, this is Isabella, my mate." A chorus of polite greetings followed. Isabella nodded and gestured. "There are four rooms and two bathrooms downstairs. You¡¯re welcome to them." "Thank you," Esme said as she, Alice, and Emmett gathered their luggage and headed to find their rooms. Once they were gone, Isabella took Rosalie¡¯s hand and led her upstairs to her room. The space was a grand suite with an attached bathroom. A large king-sized bed stood in the center, covered in black sheets with matching curtains and dark furniture. "This is where the magic happens," Isabella teased, making a mock bow toward the bed. Rosalie raised a brow as she moved closer to Isabella. "Oh? And what type of magic happens here?" Isabella swallowed, caught off guard by how close Rosalie¡¯s face was to hers¡ªmere inches apart. She cleared her throat, quickly grabbing Rosalie¡¯s bags and setting them in front of a large wall closet. "You can put your things here," she said, trying to regain composure. Rosalie smiled and stepped closer, tugging lightly on Isabella¡¯s shirt. "I want to see your true form," she said softly, gazing into Isabella¡¯s eyes. Without hesitation, Isabella transformed into her demon form. Her horns curled elegantly, and her wings spread out, casting a dark shadow over the room. "You love my true form?" she asked, her voice tinged with vulnerability. "Of course I do," Rosalie answered, tracing a hand along one of Isabella¡¯s horns. Relieved, Isabella smiled and leaned down, kissing Rosalie softly at first, then deeply. Her wings unfurled wider as the kiss grew more intense, a sign of her overwhelming emotions. Isabella wanted Rosalie to feel the depth of her love, even though they had only just met. When Isabella desired something, there was no limit to what she would do¡ªshe would move heaven and earth to make it hers. Rosalie¡¯s moans grew louder, a symphony of passion that filled the room. Her hands slid behind Isabella¡¯s head, tangling in her hair as she pulled her closer. Every touch, every kiss ignited a fire between them. Rosalie couldn¡¯t believe her fortune. For so long, she had doubted she would ever find her true mate. Yet here she stood, embracing a powerful demon, pouring her heart into the kiss. Isabella wasn¡¯t just her mate¡ªshe was her forever. Rosalie silently vowed to do anything to protect their bond. A low growl rumbled deep in Isabella¡¯s chest as she wrapped her arms tightly around Rosalie, the intensity of her emotions fueling her actions. She kissed Rosalie as though the world around them ceased to exist as if there were no tomorrow. Her wings quivered and stretched out, framing them like a protective cocoon, a silent promise of devotion and fierceness. For Isabella, this moment wasn¡¯t just an expression of love¡ªit was a declaration. Rosalie was hers, and nothing in heaven, hell, or the mortal world would take her away. Just as the moment intensified, the door suddenly slammed open, crashing against the wall. Isabella instinctively dragged Rosalie behind her, shielding her with her massive wings. A furious roar escaped her lips as she flung the intruder against the wall with enough force to send debris flying. It was Alice. She screamed as her body slammed into the wall, fear etched into her features. "Damn it, Alice!" Rosalie exclaimed, her voice dripping with irritation. "What the hell are you doing? Don¡¯t you know how to knock?" Alice could only stare, paralyzed by fear, as she faced Isabella¡¯s terrifying form. Glowing eyes, two curved horns, a menacing tail, bared fangs, and outstretched wings made her look like a creature from a nightmare. Alice thanked God that she is a vampire and that vampires don''t sleep, she knew that this creature would haunt her dreams. Rosalie placed a calming hand on Isabella¡¯s back, running her fingers along her spine. "It¡¯s okay," she murmured soothingly. Isabella let out a heavy breath, retracting her wings. She stepped back, straightened, and dropped Alice onto the ground with a thud, the floor cracking beneath her. Her eyes still glowed as she considered her options, fury simmering just below the surface. Should she kill Rosalie''s friend or just hurt her just a little bit? Isabella growled she wanted to hurt her a lot. Rosalie stepped in front of Isabella, crossing her arms and glaring at Alice. She knew her mate wanted to hurt Alice. "What are you doing here?" she demanded, her voice sharp and unforgiving. Alice stammered, unable to answer, as she glanced nervously between Rosalie and the still-enraged Isabella. HELLION HELLION Hellion lounged on the obsidian throne, his towering frame exuding an aura of menace. His black, soulless eyes scanned the room, lingering briefly on the demons scattered throughout the chamber. They reveled in tormenting the condemned, their gleeful cackles blending with the crackling of infernal flames. The red hue of Hellion''s skin glistened in the flickering light, accentuating his formidable presence. Two imposing black horns jutted skyward from his skull, their jagged length radiating intimidation. His long, brown hair cascaded over his broad shoulders, contrasting sharply with his bare, muscular torso. He wore only rugged brown leather pants, his feet bare, gripping the scorched stone floor. In his clawed right hand, he held a massive silver battle axe etched with intricate black runes that seemed to writhe like living shadows. His piercing gaze finally landed on his younger brother, who had just entered the chamber. "Well, aren''t you cozy on Father''s throne?" Andell said, his voice cutting through the noise like a blade. I knew that I''d find you here." Hellion narrowed his eyes to Andell''s restored arms, now whole again. "I see that bothersome limbs of yours grew back." Andell clenched his fists, his jaw tightening as rage flickered in his eyes. "That bitch will pay for what she did to me." Hellion smirked, a twisted expression devoid of warmth. "And whose fault is that, little brother? You provoked her." Hellion leaned back, resting the axe across his lap as his smirk deepened. "What do you want, Andell?" Andell sighed, his frustration evident in the harsh exhale. "I need your help to get rid of Isabella." A sharp laugh erupted from Hellion''s lips, echoing across the chamber. It was cold, calculated, and mocking¡ªa laugh that made Andell''s stomach churn. "You need my help? How delightful." Hellion''s voice dripped with sarcasm. "And why not ask our dear Father?" "Because he loves Mother too much to ever harm Isabella," Andell snapped. Well I think he does, his tone softened, almost pleading. "And you¡ you''re different. You hate everyone. Everything. Come on, Hellion. What will it take for you to help me?" "All I need is five of your best warriors," Andell said, his voice steady but laced with urgency. He locked eyes with Hellion, the towering general whose reputation preceded him. Hellion wasn''t just a warrior¡ªhe was a living legend, known for his cunning strategies and relentless drive in battle. The army he commanded was as ruthless as their father, a force that had left entire kingdoms trembling in its wake. Andell''s heart raced as he spoke. He knew that asking for Hellion''s help was no small request. These warriors were unstoppable, unmatched by any foe. Nothing in this world¡ªnor the next¡ªcould stand against them. Andell clenched his fists, silently praying that his plea would not fall on deaf ears.Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! Hellion''s eyes gleamed with malicious glee as he tilted his head. "Your right horn." "What?" Andell''s voice rose, tinged with disbelief. "You can''t be serious." "Oh, I am," Hellion replied, his smirk widening to reveal sharp, glinting fangs. "Your right horn. Give it to me, and I''ll grant you five of my best warriors. No horn, no help. It''s your choice." Andell''s pulse quickened as he took a step back, the enormity of the demand dawning on him. "But¡ why my horn? What are you going to do with it?" "That''s a question you''ll never get an answer to until it''s too late." Fear crept up Andell''s body, he shook it off nervously as Hellion rose from the throne with a slow, deliberate grace, his towering eight-foot frame dwarfing Andell''s. His pointed tail swayed behind him, and each step brought an oppressive weight. "Decide quickly. You''re wasting my time." Andell swallowed hard, his voice a mere whisper. "Fine. At least it''ll grow back." "No, it won''t," Hellion said, his tone devoid of sympathy. "What the hell do you mean?" Andell''s voice trembled as he backed away. Hellion''s smirk deepened as he closed the distance between them. "If I take your horn, it won''t grow back. Ever." Andell''s breath hitched, the reality crashing down on him. "Okay," he croaked, barely audible. Hellion loomed over him, his dark eyes gleaming. "What was that? I didn''t hear you." "I said okay!" Andell shouted, his voice cracking with desperation. Hellion''s clawed hand shot forward without warning, gripping Andell''s horn. The sickening crunch of bone echoed through the chamber as Hellion ripped the horn from his brother''s head in one brutal motion. Andell screamed¡ªa high-pitched, agonized sound that silenced the demons in the room. Black blood poured from the jagged wound, staining his face as he collapsed to the ground, gasping and moaning in pain. Hellion stood over him, holding the severed horn aloft, his expression one of disdain. "The warriors will be waiting in your chambers, dear brother." His voice was cold, detached, as though the act of mutilation was nothing more than a business transaction. As Hellion strode away, his tail swaying with each step, blood dripped from the horn clasped in his clawed hand. Hellion smirked, a spark of anticipation flickering in his dark eyes. He could hardly wait to see the outcome of Andell''s plan. The thought of it sent a thrill coursing through him¡ªone that mingled with admiration and a tinge of mischief. He knew Isabella was no ordinary warrior. She was exceptional, a force to be reckoned with¡ªbetter than any soldier under his command. She had surpassed them all, and rightly so. After all, he had trained her himself in secret. To the outside world, it seemed as though he hated her. Their endless bickering and fiery clashes had convinced everyone of it. But deep down, he harbored a soft spot for his little sister, one he''d never admit to anyone. There was a bond between them, forged in blood and fire. Once, during one of their more heated fights, she had nearly killed him. That moment had been a turning point¡ªa strange, brutal declaration of her strength. And from that day, he respected her in a way that words could never describe. Giving Andell five of his best warriors to aid in the mission wasn¡¯t a sacrifice. Hellion knew better. Those warriors, loyal on the surface, were spies planted by their father¡ªa fact he had discovered long ago. He did not doubt that Isabella would deal with them as ruthlessly as she would any other obstacle. The thought brought another smirk to his lips. Yes, his sister was capable, and he couldn¡¯t wait to see her prove it again. Andell lay on the ground, clutching the stump of his horn, his breaths ragged. He didn''t know what Hellion planned to do with the horn, but it didn''t matter. Carlisle and his coven wouldn''t succeed against Isabella¡ªit was all a diversion. He can only hope that those idiots don''t mess it up. For now, Andell''s plan was proceeding perfectly. Soon, Isabella would learn the true extent of his superiority. EDWARD EDWARD Edward paced back and forth in the living room, his frustration palpable. In front of him, Carlisle and Jasper sat on the couch, watching him with varying degrees of interest. Carlisle held the knife in his hands, inspecting it carefully, while Jasper appeared amused, a small smirk playing on his lips as he watched his brother unravel. "Are you seriously considering following that thing¡¯s plan?" Edward snapped, turning sharply to Carlisle. Anger blazed in his golden eyes, his jaw clenched tightly. "Yes, I am," Carlisle replied calmly, his voice steady and measured. "First of all, we don¡¯t have any other plan. Secondly, it gave us a weapon¡ª" he gestured to the knife in his hand "¡ªa weapon that can kill anything, even vampires." "But it¡¯s a demon!" Edward interrupted, his voice rising. "They can¡¯t be trusted." Carlisle met Edward¡¯s glare without flinching. "That¡¯s a risk I¡¯m willing to take." Edward exhaled sharply, running a hand through his disheveled hair before turning to Jasper. "And you? Are you going along with this madness?" Jasper leaned back, his expression unreadable but tinged with indifference. "I agree with Carlisle," he said smoothly. "And think about it¡ªif this works, I could accomplish so much. Being king, with Isabella by my side? The possibilities are endless. Can you even imagine what we could do together?" Edward stared at Jasper as though he¡¯d grown a second head. "Isabella?" he echoed incredulously. "Jasper, that demon is Rosalie¡¯s mate. Not to mention that said demon can burn you to ashes before Rosalie even gets to you!" Jasper¡¯s expression darkened, his lips curling into a sneer. "I¡¯m not afraid of Rosalie," he said coldly. "If it comes to it, I¡¯ll kill her without hesitation and claim Isabella as her mate. She will see me as the strongest¡ª" "But you¡¯re not her mate at all!" Edward growled, his frustration bubbling over. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Jasper just looked at Edward. "What¡¯s your grand plan for killing the demon, anyway?" Edward asked Carlisle. "We¡¯ll use Rosalie as bait, of course," Carlisle answered, his voice calm but firm. Edward laughed bitterly. "Use Rosalie as bait? Have you forgotten that she¡¯s hated you since the moment she woke up as a vampire? The only one she truly trusts is that big oaf, Emmett. She tolerates Esme and Alice at best, but Emmett is the only one she listens to." "Then we¡¯ll use Emmett," Jasper suggested casually, his tone almost dismissive. Edward scoffed. "You two have completely lost your minds. You don¡¯t even have a good plan, and I¡¯m not about to get myself killed because of your idiocy." He stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him. "Idiot," Jasper muttered, shaking his head. Carlisle sighed, rubbing his temples. "That idiot has a point, though," he admitted. "What makes you so sure you can control Isabella?" Jasper smirked confidently. "With my gift, of course." Carlisle raised an eyebrow. "And why didn¡¯t you use that gift when she burned you?" Embarrassment flickered across Jasper¡¯s face. He lifted his arm to silence Carlisle¡¯s questioning. "I was in too much pain to concentrate," he muttered. "But it won¡¯t happen again. I¡¯ll make sure she falls in love with me. Once she does, nothing will stop us." Carlisle wasn¡¯t entirely convinced, but he decided to go along with Jasper¡¯s plan for the time being. Meanwhile, Edward ran through the darkened forest, with no destination in mind. His thoughts churned with anger and despair. His family, the Cullens, were falling apart before his eyes. He couldn¡¯t deny his hatred for Rosalie, but for the rest of them, he cared for them. He loved being part of a family. Rosalie had ruined it all. That bitch. Edward clenched his fists as he ran, his mind racing. Even if he killed Rosalie, the Cullen family wouldn¡¯t be the same. Esme would never go back to Carlisle, no matter how much Edward wished it. Alice and Emmett had already mentally checked out; he¡¯d seen it in their thoughts. They were using Rosalie as an opportunity to leave. Carlisle¡¯s plan wouldn¡¯t fix anything. And becoming king? Edward scoffed at the thought. The queens were ruthless, their power unmatched. A knife that could kill anything might be real, but getting close enough to use it on the queens? That was another matter entirely. Edward suddenly stopped in his tracks. An idea formed in his mind, one so bold and dangerous it almost made him smile. There was someone he could turn to¡ªa man whose mate had the power to elude danger and manipulate fate. If Edward could persuade them to help, their abilities could get close enough to the queens to kill them. Carlisle would be a perfect distraction. Yes, Edward thought, his eyes glinting with newfound determination. If he played his cards right, the throne would be his. And he wouldn¡¯t share it with anyone. "Fuck Carlisle and the others," he muttered under his breath. He¡¯d never truly liked any of them anyway¡ªwell, maybe Esme. She was the only one he¡¯d spare. If anyone harmed her, they¡¯d be the monster, not him. Edward began to run again, his steps sure and purposeful. He knew exactly where to find James and his coven. ALICE ALICE Rosalie glared at Alice, her anger radiating through the room. She was moments away from pulling Isabella''s clothes off when Alice barged in, uninvited. Alice stood frozen, her back pressed against the wall, wide-eyed and pale. She couldn¡¯t comprehend what she was seeing¡ªIsabella, with her otherworldly beauty and eerie calmness, Isabella was unlike anything Alice had ever seen before. What is she, a monster or some type of supernatural being? Regret hit her instantly. She shouldn¡¯t have barged into the room without knocking. Meanwhile, Isabella was relaxed, her sharp features soft with amusement. Rosalie¡¯s anger sparked something deep within her¡ªa thrill that only made her love Rosalie even more, as impossible as that seemed. A mischievous smirk spread across Isabella¡¯s lips. She made a mental note to see if she could make Rosalie angry later. ¡°I¡¯m waiting, Alice,¡± Rosalie snapped, her voice slicing through the tense silence. ¡°What¡¯s so important that you couldn¡¯t knock or wait until you see me?¡± Alice stammered, her words caught in her throat as her gaze kept darting to Isabella. ¡°I¡ªI¡ªI¡¡± ¡°Hey, Alice,¡± Rosalie tried again, trying to break Alice¡¯s daze. Beside her, Isabella chuckled¡ªa low, sultry sound that sent shivers down Alice¡¯s spine. Isabella hadn¡¯t met anyone this terrified of her in ages and it was exciting to see. Rosalie sighed, exasperated. She turned to Isabella, her annoyance tempered by affection. ¡°Im going to talk to Alice, please give me a moment.¡± ¡°Can I at least take a limb or two first?¡± Isabella asked, her tone half-joking, half-serious. ¡°What?!¡± Alice gasped, her horror palpable. Rosalie shook her head at her mate, suppressing a smile. ¡°I¡¯ll be right outside,¡± she said, grabbing Alice¡¯s arm and leading her out of the room. She shut the door firmly behind them. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. ¡°Okay, Alice, talk,¡± Rosalie demanded, her anger renewed. Alice sighed, casting a nervous glance at the closed door, she was trembling, which caught Rosalie''s eyes. ¡°What is Isabella?¡± she asked quietly. Rosalie¡¯s expression softened for the first time as she noticed how terrified her sister was. Gently, she placed a comforting hand on Alice¡¯s trembling shoulder. ¡°Oh, Alice¡¡± Rosalie murmured, pulling her sister into a tight hug. ¡°She might look¡different,¡± Rosalie continued, her tone patient. ¡°But she¡¯s a good person once you get to know her. Isabella is a demon, but she¡¯s not a bloodthirsty killer.¡± ¡°Does she eat souls?¡± Alice whispered, her head resting against Rosalie¡¯s chest. Rosalie burst into laughter. ¡°No, she doesn¡¯t! At least¡¡± She paused, suddenly thoughtful. ¡°You know, I haven¡¯t asked her. It didn¡¯t cross my mind. But even if she did, it wouldn¡¯t matter. I¡¯ve accepted her for who and what she is¡ªjust as she¡¯s accepted me.¡± Rosalie stepped back, ending the hug. ¡°Now, Alice, what did you want to tell me?¡± Alice fidgeted nervously, wringing her hands. ¡°Well, I wanted to ask if you¡¯d go shopping with me.¡± Rosalie raised an eyebrow. ¡°That¡¯s what was so important?¡± ¡°I didn¡¯t get to pack all my clothes,¡± Alice explained quickly. ¡°And I thought you might need some, too. So, I came to ask.¡± ¡°You mean to tell me,¡± Rosalie hissed, her voice low and dangerous, ¡°that you barged into my mate¡¯s room to ask if I could go shopping?¡± Alice squeaked under Rosalie¡¯s glare. ¡°Well¡yes. And it was important!¡± Rosalie took a threatening step forward, and Alice instinctively stepped back. Then Rosalie stopped, taking a calming breath. She reminded herself that this was Alice¡ªher eternally excitable sister, who lost all sense of reason whenever shopping was involved. ¡°Alice,¡± Rosalie said with forced patience, ¡°I¡¯ll go shopping with you tomorrow.¡± ¡°Tomorrow?¡± Alice protested. Rosalie¡¯s glare sharpened. ¡°Okay, okay! Tomorrow,¡± Alice conceded, her hands raised defensively. ¡°And I¡¯m¡sorry for interrupting you and your mate.¡± ¡°Just don¡¯t do it again,¡± Rosalie said firmly as she opened the door. ¡°What if it¡¯s important?¡± Alice asked, testing the waters. ¡°Alice,¡± Rosalie said sternly. ¡°Okay, okay! I¡¯m leaving!¡± Alice exclaimed, disappearing downstairs in a blur. Rosalie stepped back into the room and closed the door behind her, locking it this time. ¡°Yes, I eat souls,¡± Isabella said, her voice casual. Rosalie blinked in surprise. ¡°You heard that?¡± ¡°My hearing surpasses even a vampire¡¯s,¡± Isabella replied smoothly. Rosalie smiled, walking toward her mate. She stood on her toes and wrapped her arms around Isabella¡¯s neck, their eyes meeting. ¡°Then you know I don¡¯t care that you eat souls,¡± Rosalie said softly. ¡°You¡¯re my mate, and I love you.¡± ¡°I love you too,¡± Isabella replied, pulling Rosalie into a deep kiss. HELLIONS WARNING HELLION''S WARNING Hellion walked the dimly lit halls toward his mother¡¯s chambers the next morning. Around his neck hung Andell¡¯s jagged horn, suspended by a golden chain. He hadn¡¯t bothered to clean it¡ªsmall droplets of blood still dripped from its sharp edges, staining his chest. The faint metallic scent lingered in the air as he moved. He stopped in front of the ornate wooden door, his hand hovering over the handle. For a moment, he hesitated. Instead of barging in as he usually would, he knocked. ¡°Hellion, come in,¡± Lilith¡¯s cool, commanding voice called from inside. He pushed the door open and stepped into the room. Lilith stood by her wardrobe, methodically packing a small bag. She looked up briefly, her expression composed but curious. ¡°Going somewhere, Mother?¡± Hellion asked, his deep, gravelly voice reverberating through the chamber. ¡°Yes, son,¡± she replied, not pausing her task. ¡°Now, what can I do for you?¡± Hellion smirked, his lips curling in that familiar, unsettling way. ¡°It¡¯s not about what you can do for me, Mother¡ªit¡¯s about what I can do for you.¡± Lilith arched a sharp brow, her hands momentarily stilling as she turned to face him. She waited, her eyes narrowing in expectation. Hellion¡¯s smirk faltered for a split second under her piercing gaze. The woman before him was the only person in the world he both feared and loved with equal intensity. Swallowing the lump that suddenly formed in his throat, he shifted uncomfortably. ¡°It¡¯s a warning,¡± he said finally, his voice steady but carrying an edge of reluctance. His hand brushed against the jagged horn hanging from his neck. ¡°Andell has a grudge against Isabella. The kind of grudge that makes a demon desperate¡ªdesperate enough to do anything to get rid of her.¡±This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Lilith¡¯s eyes flicked to the horn dangling from his neck. ¡°Is that why you¡¯re wearing Andell¡¯s horn? Still bloodied?¡± ¡°Yes,¡± Hellion answered, his tone dark and deliberate. ¡°I earned it. A trophy for my troubles, wouldn¡¯t you say?¡± Lilith sighed, her shoulders sagging slightly. At times, she wondered if her children would ever truly find peace with one another. ¡°Why are you really here, Hellion?¡± ¡°I¡¯m here,¡± he began, his voice dropping to a growl, ¡°because Andell willingly gave up his horn¡ªin exchange for five of my men to kill Isabella.¡± ¡°What?¡± Lilith¡¯s head snapped up, her gaze sharp. ¡°You heard me, Mother,¡± Hellion replied, his tone laced with grim satisfaction. ¡°I suggest you warn her. Not that she needs it¡ªIsabella¡¯s a great warrior, after all.¡± Lilith¡¯s lips curved into a faint smile, catching him off guard. ¡°Why are you smiling?¡± Hellion asked, narrowing his eyes. ¡°I¡¯ve always known you and Isabella share a¡ complicated bond, Hellion. But I didn¡¯t realize you cared for her this much.¡± Hellion snorted, though a flicker of something softer crossed his face. ¡°I don¡¯t care,¡± he said quickly. ¡°I just don¡¯t want to see you weeping over her corpse. That¡¯s all.¡± ¡°So, you do care about me after all,¡± Lilith teased, a knowing glint in her eye. Hellion¡¯s expression softened¡ªa rare moment of vulnerability. A faint, genuine smile tugged at his lips, one that Lilith hadn¡¯t seen in years. Her heart swelled at the sight, her stern facade momentarily dropping. Rising onto her toes, she cupped his cheek, her fingers cool against his skin. Hellion leaned down instinctively, his towering frame bending to meet her. Lilith pressed a light kiss to his forehead, feeling the subtle embarrassment that radiated from him. ¡°Thank you, Hellion,¡± she said softly, her voice laced with warmth. Hellion straightened, clearing his throat as he stepped back, the moment quickly dissolving into the usual tension between them. But Lilith held onto it, knowing how rare it was to see her son¡¯s guarded walls crack, even for a fleeting second. Hellion turned toward the door, pausing with his hand on the handle. ¡°Be careful, Mother,¡± he said, his voice low but earnest. ¡°And¡ don¡¯t let your guard down around Isabella. Even the best warriors fall.¡± Without waiting for a response, he opened the door and stepped out into the hall, his heavy footsteps echoing down the corridor. Lilith stood in silence for a moment, her hand resting lightly on her chest. Her son¡¯s rare, unguarded moments were fleeting, but they meant more to her than he would ever know. As she turned back to her bag, plans swirled in her mind but first, she needed to visit Isabella''s other mother. FREYJA FREYJA Lilith walked through the grand halls of the castle, her sharp eyes scanning the familiar stone walls now enhanced with modern upgrades¡ªelectricity buzzed softly in the sconces, and security cameras monitored every corridor. A sense of nostalgia mixed with approval settled over her. It was good to see the place had evolved. She had been summoned by Jane and her brother, Alec¡ªtwo individuals she hadn¡¯t seen in quite some time, just like her mate. But that was about to change. Something deep inside told her that the wheels of fate had already been set in motion, a sinister plot brewing against her and Isabella. She didn¡¯t know the details yet, but one thing was certain¡ªwhoever was responsible wouldn¡¯t get away with it. The towering double doors ahead suddenly swung open, revealing the grand throne room. Inside stood four thrones¡ªthree of them occupied by the reigning queens, while the fourth remained vacant, waiting for her. "Lilith!" a voice rang out, filled with warmth and excitement. Didyme, radiant and regal, descended from her throne with inhuman speed, closing the distance between them in an instant. Before Lilith could react, she was wrapped in a tight embrace, the scent of roses and steel filling her senses. Didyme then pulled back just enough to meet Lilith¡¯s gaze, her golden eyes gleaming with emotion, before pressing a passionate kiss to her lips. Didyme was no ordinary vampire. In fact, she was no vampire at all. She is Freyja the Goddess of love, beauty, and war, a truth known only to a select few. She also led the Valkyries¡ªfive hundred, and fifty warriors sworn to her alone. When their kiss finally broke, Didyme smiled at Lilith, her fingers lingering on her cheek. "I missed you," she murmured. Lilith returned a soft smile. "I missed you too." "Aww, isn¡¯t that just the sweetest thing?" Sulpicia teased, turning to her mate, Athenodora, who arched an eyebrow. "I think they should just get a room," Athenodora replied dryly, her tone serious but laced with amusement. Lilith smirked, glancing at the queens still seated on their thrones. "You¡¯re just jealous." "Not jealous," Athenodora corrected, waving a dismissive hand. "Just sick of witnessing this level of sweetness so early in the morning." This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. "It¡¯s the afternoon," Didyme pointed out with a knowing smile. "It¡¯s still too early," Athenodora quipped. Lilith chuckled. Despite Didyme being the true founder of the Volturi, things had spiraled out of control under the former kings, who had been more obsessed with power than actual governance. They had neglected their duties, growing complacent. So, Didyme had taken matters into her own hands, overthrowing them with little resistance¡ªtheir subjects had despised them, after all. Had they ruled wisely, they might have still been alive. Sulpicia, Athenodora, and Didyme had fought together in that war, and through battle, their bond had strengthened. Now, they ruled together as trusted friends and sisters in arms. Lilith reached for Didyme¡¯s hands, squeezing them gently as her expression turned serious. "We need to talk." Didyme¡¯s brows furrowed. "Is Isabella okay?" "She¡¯s fine, my love, don¡¯t worry," Lilith assured her, exhaling slowly. "But first, I need to tell you something¡ªI told Isabella about you, and she wants to meet you." Didyme¡¯s face lit up with joy. "Really? When can we meet?" "As soon as possible." "Then let¡¯s go." Without hesitation, Didyme grasped Lilith¡¯s hand tightly and started pulling her toward the door. "Wait, my love. There¡¯s more you need to know." Didyme stopped a flicker of impatience in her golden eyes. "Can it wait until after I see my daughter? I haven¡¯t seen her since she was four years old." Lilith placed a hand on her cheek. "Please, just hear me out." Didyme sighed. "Alright. What is it?" "Andell," Lilith said, her voice darkening. "My son is plotting to kill Isabella." Didyme stiffened, her entire demeanor shifting into one of controlled fury. "What?" she hissed. "Then why are you here and not there, stopping him?" "Because he won¡¯t succeed," Lilith said confidently. "The real threat is Victor. I haven¡¯t seen him in a week, and that worries me. I believe he¡¯s plotting against you." Didyme¡¯s expression hardened. "He won¡¯t succeed. I am also the goddess of war." "I know," Lilith said, her grip tightening. "But what if he¡¯s found a way? "We made a deal with him¡ªyou stay in Hell, and he allows you to visit me. A deal I¡¯ve always thought was unfair. Just because you were with him first and we met a hundred years later doesn¡¯t mean he gets to dictate our lives. You are my true mate, not his. And it¡¯s time we put an end to this foolishness." Didyme said in anger. "I only agree with his terms because I didn''t want another war." Didyme¡¯s eyes softened as she touched Lilith¡¯s cheek. "Will you fight with me? For our freedom to be together?" "Of course, I will," Lilith vowed. "And we will fight with you," Athenodora said, standing and intertwining her fingers with Sulpicia¡¯s. Lilith blinked in surprise¡ªshe had momentarily forgotten they were in the room. "Are you sure about this?" she asked. "Demons are far more ruthless than vampires in battle." "We are sure," Sulpicia confirmed. "You¡¯ve been training us for thousands of years," Athenodora added with conviction. "We can handle them." Didyme smiled gratefully. "Thank you, my friends." She then turned to Lilith. "Bring Isabella here. It¡¯s time she knows the truth." "Yes, of course. And you should know¡ªshe has found her mate." A genuine smile spread across Didyme¡¯s face. "That is wonderful news. Bring them both." Lilith nodded, then smirked. "But first, let¡¯s go to our chambers." Before Didyme could respond, Lilith grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward the exit, leaving Sulpicia and Athenodora chuckling behind them. She hadn¡¯t seen her mate in weeks¡ªshe intended to make the most of their time before the chaos started. KIDNAP ATTEMPT KIDNAP ATTEMPT Rosalie moved like a phantom through the dense forest, her steps soundless against the damp earth. The dark golden hues of her eyes flickered under the moonlight as she tracked a herd of deer through the shadows. Hunger clawed at her insides, her throat burning like it had been set ablaze. She knew she needed to feed, but the very idea of drinking human blood repulsed her. Even feeding from blood bags made her uneasy. The fear of losing herself, of becoming something uncontrollable, was a nightmare she couldn¡¯t shake. Carlisle had planted that fear within her long ago, and despite everything, his words still lingered in the recesses of her mind. That''s why it had taken her so long to feed, her ability to make a decision prevented her until now. The hunger is clawing at her, pushing her to hunt the old way. She inhaled sharply, trying to focus. The scent of warm, pulsing blood filled her senses, but it wasn¡¯t human. It was an animal. Her mate, Isabella, had told her the truth¡ªanimal blood made her weaker. Her senses dulled, her strength waned, and eventually, death for a vampire like her was dangerous. But what other choice did she have? If she refused to feed, the thirst would drive her mad. Another sigh left her lips as she crouched low, ready to pounce on a buck grazing a few feet ahead. But then¡ª A shift in the wind. A scent¡ªone that made her entire body stiffen. She wasn¡¯t alone. Rosalie straightened, her golden eyes narrowing as she turned her head slightly. The presence of others slithered around her like an invisible rope tightening. She should have noticed them sooner, but her hunger had dulled her senses more than she¡¯d realized. Carlisle. Edward. Jasper. Her former coven. She let out another breath, this one slow and measured, preparing herself for what was coming. Her throat ached, but she ignored it. Now was not the time to be distracted by hunger. ¡°This is private property,¡± she said, her voice hoarse but firm. ¡°What the hell do you want?¡± Edward smirked, his bronze hair gleaming under the moonlight as he stepped forward. He was positioned to her right, Jasper to her left, and Carlisle in front of her. They were boxing her in. ¡°We¡¯re here to kill you, of course,¡± Edward said smoothly, his tone casual, as if he were discussing the weather. Rosalie sighed again. Frustration would be the theme of the night. She had expected something like this, but she had hoped¡ªfoolishly¡ªthat they would leave her alone. ¡°Where is Isabella?¡± Jasper asked, his Southern drawl barely masking the malice in his voice. Rosalie laughed, though it hurt to do so. Her throat burned, and her body ached from hunger, but she refused to show weakness. Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. ¡°This isn¡¯t funny,¡± Carlisle said as he stepped closer, his grip tightening around something in his hand. It gleamed in the dim light. A knife. Rosalie arched an eyebrow. ¡°And what exactly do you plan to do with that?¡± she asked, her tone laced with amusement. ¡°You know you can¡¯t hurt me with it.¡± Edward took a step forward, his smirk widening. ¡°Are you sure about that?¡± Jasper moved a fraction of an inch closer, his body coiled like a spring, ready to strike. They weren¡¯t here to talk. They were here to take her by force. ¡°Just come with us willingly,¡± Edward said, his voice deceptively gentle. ¡°The knife isn¡¯t for you. It¡¯s for Isabella.¡± A growl rumbled from Rosalie¡¯s chest, low and menacing. ¡°If you hurt my mate, I swear I will tear you apart.¡± Jasper lunged, grabbing Rosalie¡¯s arms and locking them behind her back in a vice-like grip. She struggled, but the hunger had drained her strength, making her weaker than usual. Carlisle stepped forward, his expression unreadable as he lifted the knife. ¡°You¡¯re coming with us,¡± he said. ¡°Isabella will have no choice but to follow. Then, she will meet her end.¡± A growl, deep and filled with pure rage, shattered the tension in the air. ¡°Are you sure of that?¡± The voice sent chills down Rosalie¡¯s spine, but this time, they were not from fear. Isabella. She moved like a wraith through the darkness, her demon silhouette form barely visible against the dense trees. Her icy blue eyes glowed, locked onto Carlisle with murderous intent. The air around her was thick with power, an unseen force pressing against their chests like an oncoming storm. Jasper flinched his grip on Rosalie momentarily loosening. It was all the opening she needed. With a snarl, she twisted in his grasp, slamming her elbow into his ribs. Jasper grunted, stumbling back as Rosalie spun, her fist connecting with Edward¡¯s jaw. The crack of bone echoed through the night as he staggered, clutching his face. Carlisle raised the knife, but before he could strike, Isabella was there. Faster than any of them could react, she grabbed his wrist, twisting it until the blade clattered to the ground. Carlisle let out a pained gasp, his usual calm composure fracturing as Isabella¡¯s grip tightened. ¡°You think you can take my mate from me?¡± Isabella¡¯s voice was deadly quiet, her eyes burning. ¡°You think you can kill me?¡± Carlisle tried to wrench free, but Isabella was stronger. Her nails dug into his skin, drawing blood, her lips curling back in a snarl. Jasper recovered quickly, launching himself toward Isabella, but Rosalie was faster. She intercepted him mid-air, slamming him into the ground with enough force to leave a crater in the dirt. Jasper groaned, struggling to get up, but Rosalie was relentless. Her fists came down again and again, fueled by rage and desperation. Not even her hunger stopped her from putting Jasper in his place. Edward rushed forward, his face twisted with fury, but Isabella turned her attention to him. With a flick of her wrist, she sent him flying backward, his body crashing through the trees with the sickening crunch of breaking wood. Carlisle, now free from Isabella¡¯s grasp, took a step back, his face pale. For the second time, fear flickered in his eyes. ¡°This isn¡¯t over,¡± he hissed. Rosalie stood beside Isabella, her breathing heavy, her fists clenched. ¡°You¡¯re right,¡± she said, her voice unwavering. ¡°It¡¯s not.¡± Carlisle, Jasper, and Edward exchanged glances. They knew they had lost this fight, for now. Without another word, they disappeared into the darkness, their figures fading into the night. Rosalie let out a slow breath, her body trembling from exhaustion and adrenaline. She turned to Isabella, who was still watching the trees where they had vanished, her icy blue eyes glowing. ¡°You came for me,¡± Rosalie whispered, her voice raw with emotion. Isabella turned, her expression softening. She reached out, cupping Rosalie¡¯s face in her hands. ¡°Always.¡± Rosalie closed her eyes, leaning into Isabella¡¯s touch. The fear, the hunger, the exhaustion¡ªit all faded in that moment. ISABELLAS REVENGE ISABELLA''S REVENGE Isabella leaned back from the hug, her hands still resting on Rosalie¡¯s shoulders. Her sharp gaze traveled over Rosalie¡¯s face, taking in the sunken, dark-rimmed eyes and the way her pale skin had turned ghostly pale. A deep frown formed on Isabella¡¯s lips. ¡°Rosalie, you need to feed,¡± she said softly, her voice laced with concern. Rosalie swallowed hard, her throat dry, the mere thought of feeding causing a heavy weight to settle in her chest. ¡°I can¡¯t bear it,¡± she whispered, shaking her head. ¡°The thought of drinking from humans¡ªit sickens me.¡± Isabella exhaled, her eyes searching Rosalie¡¯s as understanding settled between them. ¡°Is that why you¡¯re out here? You were hunting animals?¡± Rosalie nodded, shame flickering across her tired features. ¡°Yes,¡± she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. Isabella sighed, running a hand through her white locks. ¡°Then you can feed on me.¡± Rosalie¡¯s head snapped up, her exhausted eyes widening in shock. ¡°What?¡± ¡°You can feed on me,¡± Isabella repeated, stepping closer. ¡°I asked my mother if it was safe, and she said yes. You¡¯re my mate, Rosalie. The only thing that will happen is that your body will change. I don¡¯t know how, exactly¡ªit¡¯s different for every vampire¡ªbut all you need to do is agree. I will not force you.¡± Rosalie hesitated, her fangs aching with need, the hunger gnawing at her insides like a relentless beast. She could feel her self-control slipping, the urge to sink her teeth into warm, pulsing flesh overwhelming. She clenched her fists, trying to fight the primal instinct, but Isabella¡¯s scent, rich and intoxicating, was too much. She looked at Isabella, her lips parting slightly as she whispered, ¡°Yes. I will feed from you.¡± A small smile graced Isabella¡¯s lips, but her fangs glinted dangerously in the dim light. ¡°Then do it,¡± she encouraged, tilting her head to the side, exposing the delicate skin of her neck. Rosalie hesitated no longer. She grasped Isabella¡¯s shoulders, steadying herself, and then leaned in, her lips grazing the warm flesh before she bit down. A rush of pure ecstasy surged through Rosalie as Isabella¡¯s blood touched her tongue. It was unlike anything she had ever tasted¡ªrich, powerful, sweet like honey yet dark like the finest wine. A deep, involuntary moan escaped her throat as she drank, her grip on Isabella tightening, fingers digging into her mate¡¯s waist. She wanted more. She needed more. The hunger, once unbearable, was now being sated in the most blissful way. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. Isabella shuddered, a soft gasp leaving her lips as Rosalie¡¯s bite sent shivers through her body. She didn¡¯t fight it; she embraced it, holding Rosalie close, letting her mate take what she needed. Rosalie drank until she felt the hunger dissipate, until warmth spread through her limbs, her strength returning. Finally, she forced herself to pull away, her lips stained with crimson. A heavy, satisfied sigh escaped her lips, but before she could say anything, darkness wrapped around her senses, and she collapsed. Isabella caught her with ease, cradling her in her arms as she disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Isabella reappeared into her bedroom and settled Rosalie on the bed, she looked down at her mate, who now appeared peaceful¡ªresting, no longer suffering from starvation. With a soft smile, Isabella pressed a gentle kiss to Rosalie¡¯s lips before standing straight. Lifting her hand, black smoke curled from her fingertips. A moment later, the shadows swirled and materialized into Nyx, her trusted guardian. ¡°I have something to take care of,¡± Isabella said firmly, her voice commanding yet filled with quiet affection. ¡°Please protect Rosalie until I return.¡± Nyx, fully healed and standing tall, inclined her head in understanding. Without hesitation, she moved to Rosalie¡¯s side, settling next to her, her body poised to shield her from any danger. Isabella nodded once, satisfied, and then disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Meanwhile, at the Cullen Mansion ¡°I can¡¯t believe that demon bitch showed up,¡± Edward spat, frustration thick in his voice. He threw himself onto the sofa, raking his hands through his hair, his golden eyes burning with anger. ¡°We just need a better plan,¡± Jasper muttered, leaning back against the couch, his gaze fixed on the ceiling. His mind was already working, strategizing, calculating. He wanted this plan to work. He needed to get Isabella¡ªfor himself. Carlisle sighed heavily, his hands tightening around the handle of the knife he held. He had been expecting something like this. He knew better than to underestimate the power of a mate bond, especially when it was still fresh. ¡°We should have known that the demon would show up,¡± Carlisle said solemnly. ¡°Mates are not known to be apart for long, especially not when the bond is new.¡± Edward clenched his jaw, his rage boiling over. With a sudden burst of fury, he slammed his fist down onto the center table, shattering it into splinters. ¡°Then we go back and kill Rosalie.¡± The room fell into a tense silence. And then¡ª ¡°I knew you were all stupid,¡± a voice echoed through the room, smooth as silk yet dripping with venom. ¡°But I didn¡¯t realize you were this stupid.¡± The three vampires froze. Before them, standing effortlessly in the center of the room, was Isabella. She smirked, her now red eyes glowing like embers in the dim light. A change that matched her fury. ¡°You tried to kill my mate,¡± she continued, stepping forward, her every movement predatory, fluid. ¡°And then you came back here like nothing happened?¡± She tilted her head, amusement flickering across her sharp features. ¡°I should be furious. I should rip you apart where you stand.¡± Edward¡¯s fists clenched, his whole body going rigid. Jasper shifted subtly, preparing for a fight, while Carlisle¡¯s grip on the knife tightened. ¡°But,¡± Isabella murmured, a wicked smile curling at her lips, ¡°I¡¯m not going to complain.¡± She took another step, her fangs flashing. ¡°This,¡± she purred, ¡°makes things so much easier.¡± ISABELLAS REVENGE PART 2 ISABELLA''S REVENGE PART 2 "Please¡ let us go. I promise you''ll never see us again," Carlisle pleaded, his voice trembling with desperation. Jasper scoffed, cutting in before Carlisle could say another word. "I make no such promise," he said, standing tall with unwavering confidence. His golden eyes gleamed with determination as he turned to Isabella. "Isabella, you must know by now that I would make a far better mate than Rosalie," he said smoothly. A cold, twisted laugh slipped from Isabella''s lips¡ªlow, sickly, and unnatural. It sent a shiver down Carlisle''s and Edward''s spine, making the air heavy with impending doom. Then, in an instant, her laughter stopped. Jasper suddenly dropped to his knees, a strangled scream ripping from his throat as his body convulsed in agony. His hands clutched at his temples, eyes wide with shock and pain. "Did you think your gift would make me fall in love with you?" Isabella''s voice was laced with venom, her expression twisted with contempt. "All it did was irritate me, you fool. A demon''s mate is a treasured gift among my kind. We will do anything for our mate¡ªand I mean anything¡ªwithout hesitation," Isabella said, her voice laced with rage as it radiated off her in waves. Dark energy radiated from her, crackling in the air like a brewing storm. Jasper''s skin began to blacken, veins darkening like ink seeping through paper. Blood spilled from his eyes like crimson tears. Edward burst through the door, his face pale with horror. Carlisle remained frozen, unable to move, his mind struggling to comprehend the nightmare unfolding before him. If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Jasper''s agonized screams reached a fever pitch¡ªthen, abruptly, they ceased. His body collapsed into nothing but ash, drifting through the air like dust on the wind. Not even a shred of clothing remained. Carlisle stood in stunned silence, his grip tightening around the knife in his trembling hands. He swallowed hard as Isabella turned to him, her piercing gaze locking onto the weapon he held. Her expression darkened. "Who gave you that knife?" she demanded, her voice cold and sharp as steel. She recognized the knife and had a feeling who gave it to Carlisle, she''ll deal with her brother later. Carlisle''s throat went dry. "I¡ªI¡ I can''t tell you," he stammered, barely above a whisper. "Please let me go and I promise you won''t see me again." Isabella exhaled a slow breath, shaking her head in mock disappointment. "Men like you¡ always making promises you''ll never keep." Before he could react, Isabella''s sword was already in motion. He never felt the blade slice through his flesh. Only when his vision tilted did he realize¡ªhis head was no longer attached to his body. It tumbled to the ground with a sickening thud, his body collapsing a second later. Isabella flicked her sword, venom dripping from its gleaming edge, then slid it smoothly back into its scabbard. Kneeling, she pried the knife from Carlisle''s lifeless fingers. She placed a hand over his corpse and, with a flick of her wrist, flames erupted, consuming his body and the house in a roaring inferno. Fire spread rapidly, devouring wood and stone alike, until nothing remained but smoke and a blackened patch of earth. She took a deep breath, sniffing the air. Then, a sinister smirk curved her lips. "No matter how far you run¡ I will catch you," she murmured, her voice carrying through the night. Then, in a blur, she vanished. It took her no time to track Edward. She arrived in Alaska, where an isolated cabin stood against the icy wilderness. It had been a long time since she had last set foot here. Memories stirred, but she pushed them aside. The cabin door swung open. Five vampires stepped out, their faces familiar. Edward stood among them, a smirk playing on his lips. Isabella''s smirk mirrored his. "It''s been a long time, my children." The moment those words left her lips, Tanya and the others fell to their knees, heads bowed. "My Queen," they whispered in unison. The smirk vanished from Edward''s face. ISABELLAS CHILDREN ISABELLA''S CHILDREN Isabella stood tall, her icy blue, piercing eyes scanning the porch as she gazed at her children. "Rise," she commanded, her voice rich with authority and warmth. One by one, they obeyed, unfolding from their positions like shadows taking form. Despite what others believed, the Denalis are not vampires. They merely wore the guise of one, a deception carefully woven into the fabric of their existence. In truth, they were succubi, demons of seduction and power, bound by blood to Isabella, their creator. Centuries ago, they had pleaded for the chance to live among humans rather than be condemned to the infernal depths of hell. She had granted them that wish, not out of obligation but because she cherished them. They were hers, and she would never force them into a life they did not desire. Besides, she had no intention of allowing Victor to uncover her secret¡ªthat her children were demons loyal only to her. And this, standing before her, was just five of them. Others remained scattered across the world, hidden in the shadows, awaiting her call. Tanya and the others stood poised, their elegant figures exuding both grace and danger. Edward, however, was paralyzed with fear. His instincts screamed at him to flee, but the moment he twitched, Kate grabbed him with an iron grip. A crackling surge of electricity danced through her fingers as she shocked him, sending his body convulsing in agony. His strangled cry barely made it past his lips before he slumped, panting. "I assume you were hunting this vampire, my queen?" Kate asked, her voice steady but filled with anticipation. Isabella stepped forward, a slow, deliberate movement that sent chills down Edward''s spine. Her expression was calm, but her eyes burned with something primal. "Yes," she confirmed, her tone laced with venom. "This boy tried to kill my mate from the moment I found her." Gasps filled the air. Carmen placed a delicate hand over her mouth, eyes wide with shock. "You found your mate?" she whispered, as if the words themselves carried weight. Isabella nodded, her expression softening for just a moment. "Yes, I did." The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. Edward, despite the pain coursing through his body, seethed. His lips curled into a sneer, rage igniting in his eyes. "Rosalie is a stupid bitch who needs to know her place," he spat through clenched teeth. Kate sent another jolt through his body, making him writhe in pain. Isabella, however, barely reacted to his words. Instead, she merely studied him, an unsettling calm settling over her. Then, in a flash, she moved. The blade in her hand glinted under the dim light, and before Edward could react, she plunged it into the side of his head. The sickening squelch of metal piercing flesh filled the air. He gasped, his body tensing as a strangled cry tried to escape his throat, but he found himself incapable of making a sound. Isabella leaned in, her breath warm against his ear. "You will never speak of my mate like that again," she hissed. "In fact, you will never speak again." A dark, malevolent energy pulsed through her, and black veins spread across Edward''s skin like cracks in glass. His eyes widened in horror as his body began to wither, crumbling into pieces. His mouth opened in a silent scream, but no sound came forth. The light in his eyes flickered, and then, in an instant, he was nothing but shattered remains. Kate recoiled, stepping back quickly. The pieces of Edward''s corpse still twitched, his disembodied eyes rolling among the broken fragments of his former self. Isabella crouched, picking up the knife from the remains. She examined it curiously, tilting her head. "So, this is what happens when I use this blade," she mused. Then, with a flick of her wrist, she summoned a small flame, letting it dance in her palm before she cast it over the remains. The fire roared to life, consuming every last fragment of Edward until nothing remained but ashes. She sheathed the blade at her waist and turned to her children. "It''s been a long time. How has life been treating you?" she asked, her voice now carrying a note of warmth. Tanya smiled. "We can''t complain," she said, though there was an edge of sadness in her eyes. Isabella approached her, brushing her fingers gently against Tanya''s cheek, searching for any hidden pain. Then, she moved to the others, touching each of them in turn, reaffirming their bond. Irina shifted slightly, hesitant. "We knew the Cullen family, but we didn''t know that Rosalie is your mate," she said softly. Isabella let out a low chuckle. "Don''t worry about that. We only met a few days ago." Her expression turned thoughtful for a moment before she refocused on her children. "May I come in? We can catch up." Tanya''s lips curved into a knowing smile. "That won''t be a problem." Isabella nodded. "Rosalie is asleep and safe right now. I just want to get home before she wakes up." With a graceful nod, Tanya gestured toward the cabin. "Then let''s go." Together, they went inside the cabin, leaving behind only the smoldering ashes of the one who had dared to threaten Isabella''s mate.
