《Architect of Aethelgard》 Death is not the end It''s a normal evening for the residents of the city. As the red sun is nearing the horizon the roads are crowed with people going back home after the tiring work eager to meet their family, who are their sole purpose of living. In the middle of the city at the most easily accessible location lies a five stories tall building with ¡®City Hospital¡¯ written on top of it in big bold LED lights which are glowing bright white with red borders. In a room on the third floor of this building with a wide enough window showing city¡¯s sky scrapers, the setting sun can be seen through the gap between two nearby buildings. Light from the sun creeps into the room staining the floor and wall of the room in a dim yellow colour. In the room lies a bed around which a woman and few children can be seen standing with a face showing sadness looking toward the old man lying on the bed. Various life support devices can be seen connected to the man which keeps on producing a never ending BEEP sound as if pointing to the impending death of the old man. The one lying on the bed was once a healthy man. He is an orphan who was cared and raised by a local orphanage. He studied hard got a job in a famous company and earned more than enough salary to live a luxurious life. Although he could using the money for himself, but he used most of his money to help those in need and donated rest to local orphanages. But his time and health had not been gentle to him. He had a weak body which constantly made him a frequent visitor of hospital. He held on despite all this due to his sole reason to survive that is the children of the orphanage who depend on him. Yet mortals cannot escape vicious grip of time making him old and confining him to the bed of this small hospital room waiting for the hands of death. Time ticked by ¡­ BEEP ¡­ BEEP ¡­ BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­.. The machine stoped its sound indicating the end which everyone present in the room understood but deep down in the heart they still hoped otherwise. The doctors and nurse entered the room. That day various loud cry could be heard in the third floor of the hospital. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­ High above the clouds, in a wide hall with floor made of purest white tiles and white circular pillars with golden decoration patters stretching upwards endlessly, there lies a raised rectangular platform a throne on top resembling throne room of a palace. On the throne a majestic figure can be seen seated with various angels standing below on both side with deep respect to the figure on the throne. In front of them lies an orb of pure white colour floating 1 meter above the floor emiting bright white light. All those present near has a face of great surprise looking towards the orb, these was pin drop silence every where. Finally one of the angels spoke in a respectful manner ¡°Lord this soul is too abnormal. I have never seen a soul this pure¡± Another angel beside the first angel spoke up ¡°I have looked into the life of this soul, I had confirmed that this soul had never done any bad deed in his life, the good deed done by him is so much that this soul has the brightest light I have ever seen, unfortunately he was an orphan and he had a weak body causing him constant difficulties¡± A third angel added ¡°Lord please show mercy on this one and allow him to live another fruitful life¡± There was a short silence fierce that as if the figure on throne was think taking the opinion of the angels into consideration Finally the figure spoke up ¡°It appears that I have done a mistake while I was writing the fate of this child. Even though I would like to give this poor child another chance I cannot send him back to earth, as we only send newly created souls or tainted souls to earth so that they can correct their ways to form a pure soul which can join others in heaven¡± There was another period of silence. It appears that the majestic being was communicating with someone else through telepathy ¡°Hmm, although it may cost me considerable divine energy, it has been decided that this soul will be reborn in the world of my friend since there is a dire need of one reincarnated person in that world. As a perk both of us shall pool extra divine energy to aid him in his journey¡± With this the figure raised both hands towards the orb, which flew towards the hands gently as if it was being pulled by an invisible force. After the orb arrived near the hand divine energy began flowing out of the hand. Mysterious divine energy of a different origin can also be seen appearing around the orb. Both this energy wrapped around the orb like a mother embracing a newborn child. Time and space around the orb seem to distort, forming a whirlpool. The orb¡¯s shape seems to distort and size gradually shrunk finally orb disappeared from sight. Anyone who didn¡¯t witness this phenomenon may never believe that this orb ever existed, erasing everyone memory of this orb except the god and angels who took park in this event. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­ Author¡¯s note : Hi, This is my first novel. Hearing victory¡¯s cry his mother ¡®Mary¡¯ pushed opened the door and ran towards victor. Mary was a beautiful woman in her late twenties. She was wearing a white and blue coloured medieval princess like dress. She had silver hair which swayed in the air like a sparkling Jewell, she had a kind and affectionate face. Anyone who see her will surely think of angel descending upon land. She asked in a concerned voice to the maid who was standing near the cradle in a helpless flustered manner. ¡°What happened why is he crying so loudly?¡± Clara who was standing near victors cradle was the newly appointed personal maid of victor. She was a beauty on her own no less than Mary and was nearing age of twenty. She was appointed as victors personal maid yesterday and had very little prior knowledge on how to take care of baby. So when victor who was sleeping soundly suddenly woke-up and started acting wired and started crying out of nowhere she got flustered until she saw Mary burst open the door and started showering her with questions. Clara calmed down her emotions and spoke up about how victor woke-up , acted weird and started crying out of nowhere. While all this was happening under both Clara and Mary¡¯s surprised victor suddenly stoped crying and went to sleep. This made Mary more worried, until she invited a physician who assure her of no problem after examining him. ¡­.. Later that day victor woke up with full knowledge of what happened and how he end up here as a baby. He tried asked nova in his mind ¡°Hey! Can you hear me¡± [Yes! How may I help you] ¡°You said I was reincarnated as baby¡± [Yes] ¡°Then why didn¡¯t I get my consciousness at time of birth¡± [Although your soul was transferred at the time of birth. White walls, tables and chairs made of wood, on his right side was a king size bed. On his left side was a chair on which a beautiful woman was sleeping, beside her chair was a maid observing him. ¡°Nova who are they?¡± Victor asked [The women in the chair is Mary Evergreen your mother and the one besides he is Clara your personal maid ] ¡°Evergreen, maid! So when he say Mary was about to give him milk he involuntarily started looking away Seeing this Mary stater being concerned again ¡°Why is my sweet victor avoiding me! Are you angry at mama?¡± Seeing this nova started repeating warning notifications [Note: Host is advised to drink milk. Time ticked by and Victor was now five years old Ch 3- Let鈥檚 learn language Victor was now five years old He was standing in front of a human sized mirror admiring his reflection in it. He had adorable face with silver hair, wore a short blue pant, a white tunic and a blue over coat on top of it. Today was the day when his first tutoring session will begins, a private tutor who graduated from a prestigious institution was arranged by his mother especially for tutoring him. Although Victor had insisted multiple times that he will study by himself his mother was stubborn with hiring a tutor. He even tried to hide inside castle library to read book to show her that he can learn by himself. But getting the book on shelf seemed difficult with his short baby legs and hands, he even tried to climb the shelf leading to falling of shelf from which he barely escaped. From that day onwards he was banned from entering library unless he gets permission from his father. ¡­¡­¡­ Alex is a commoner who had recently graduated from an academy in capital city with top marks. Although children of nobles and rich merchants rarely attended these academies since they have the resources and ability to study from the comfort of there of home. But for people who have simple origin like Alex this is one of the only way to earn recognition, the other is joining military and being a soldier. After graduation Alex had been trying to get a job in many places, although many people offered him a job but the income was not sufficient enough to pay for the loans which his father took from a merchant. Due to scorching heat and low rainfall this year the crop yield was scarce. So his father doesn¡¯t have enough money to pay back the loan. So when he got a high income invitation to be a private tutor for a Nobel child, he chose it immediately without a second thought. ¡­¡­.. Mary was searching for a tutor for Victor and when she found out about Alex who was capital academies top graduate, she decided to hire him. After knowing about the condition of Alex from her attended she decided to raise the fee for tutoring, even though it was little more than what tutors usually get. Mary was not at a loss she was just happy that she was able to help someone in need. Present day victor was sitting in the classroom arranged by his beloved mother Mary awaiting the tutor. Victor sees this as his only opportunity to get permission to enter library. According what he inquired nova has the capability to scan through books and store the information in this brain. So he plans to learn everything being taught by tutor fast and show his capability to his parents. The door opened an a man in his twenties entered the room with cautious steps. He has a moderately build body, black hair, handsome face and extruded an aura of a scholar. This was Alex. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Alex was little nervous as it was his first time interacting with a noble and was afraid of whether his character may feel disrespectful to the other. Alex came and sat down opposite to the table in which Victor was sitting and said ¡°Sir, shall we start the lesson¡± Victor was taken aback by the sudden ¡®sir¡¯ word No one was ever been this respectful to him. Everyone in this mansion had seen him growing up from childhood and had only seen him as a kid, although few of the maids and works show respect but not to the lever of out right calling him sir, more over he was victors teacher the one who should be showing respect is Victor. This is what that was going on inside Victor¡¯s mind. Seeing Victor in a daze and not responding Alex became more flustered thinking he had somehow disrespected him unknowingly. Alex started sweating profusely. Seeing Alex¡¯s expression Victor got an understanding about the situation Alex is in and he spoke up in a cheerful tone ¡°There is no need to call me sir, I don¡¯t mind what you address me as. In fact I am the one who should be addressing you respectfully¡± Seeing Victor is not so strict with noble etiquette Alex calmed down and introduced himself ¡°Hi I am Alex you personal tutor¡± Victor also introduced himself back ¡°Hi, I am Victor Evergreen¡± Alex put the books present in his hands on the table ¡°These are the books which we will learn this year. Have anyone taught any thing to you before?¡± ¡°No this is my first time being taught and first time reading books since I was banned from entering library due to some circumstances¡± Victor replied in a playful tone. ¡°Oh so then shall we start with language and alphabets then¡± Alex inquired ¡°Ok!¡± Victor replied in an exited tone. Alex started teaching him languages ¡°There are different type of language in this world. Of which, the one which is known by everyone and the common language of our empire is ¡®Eldrissian¡¯ language¡± ¡°So what about the other languages¡± Victor asked ¡°Although as a noble you should know other languages but first you should be proficient in your mother tongue¡± ¡°Oh ok¡± Alex proceeded to open a book and started to teach alphabets and words Which was noted down by Victor The class lasted for few hours. After few hours Alex decided to stop the class. Through out the class Alex was impressed by the speed by which Victor absorbed his teaching with utmost sincerity, any other children of his age would have thrown a fit by now. What Alex didn¡¯t know was that, as soon as Alex started taking class, nova activated and started recording the information. ¡­.. ¡°Let¡¯s stop today¡¯s class for now¡± Alex said while closing the book in his hand Alex opened the first page of book kept it before Victor and added ¡°Read as much as you can and we will continue the class tomorrow¡± What Alex meant was for Victor to read what was taught today. He didn¡¯t know that the little boy sitting next to him who was unable to touch any book form library, broadly misunderstood what he said and took it as a challenge to read not only this book but ever book present on the table. Alex left the mansion leaving behind the books on the table since the book was taken from the mansion library. What he didn¡¯t remember was that among the books kept on the table was a book of ¡®Valtherian¡¯ language, the long lost language of demon continent. Even now demons only speak a language derived from ¡®Valtherian¡¯ language , because it was the hardest language to learn. Alex took this book out of interest to read and forgot it on the table. Only god knows the shock he will get when the 5 year old child he came to teach today starts speaking long lost language tomorrow. Ch 4- Surprise Victor can be seen sitting on a chair with different books spread across him on the table. As instructed by Alex he was going to read the books given by him. He opened the first book which had ¡®Eldrissian¡¯ language written on it. [Book on new knowledge detected] [Would host like assistance in learning] ¡°Yes¡± Victor replied promptly [Initiating scanning Host is requested to turn pages so that I can scan them] Hearing this Victor started to turn pages of the book one by one. Anyone seeing him now would only think that he is just flipping pages of a book simply due to curiosity to see images which was present in the book at certain intervals. No one in there right mind would think that he was not only reading them but also completely memorising the contents without leaving even comma and full stop. Victor stoped this action when all the books on the table was scanned by nova ¡°Now what?¡± Victor asked [Host Is required to be in a safe location as the information transfer to brain will begin shortly] Victor leaned back on the chair and notified nova to start [Detecting host location Detected host is in a safe location Host permission for data transfer acquired Beginning transfer] As usual a headache was felt by Victor during this process, but he appears to be not in distress as he had become accustomed to this feeling over the past five years. [Data transfer completed] After all information was transferred to the brain Victor was able to see the difference. He was able to recite the contents as if like he was the author of the books. He was even able to speak the language in the book like a native. Now he was all set and ready for the next days class. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­ Next day Victor was sitting near the same table at previously agreed upon time by him and Alex. The door opened and Alex entered. Seeing his student who came early and was sitting near the table waiting for him made him feel warm in his heart. Alex walked towards the table and sat opposite to Victor. He remembered that he had asked Victor to read as much as possible to review what was taught yesterday. To see if he had learned, Alex decided to ask Victor to recite what was taught yesterday. Hearing this Victor started to recite the book which he learned yesterday. Hearing Victor recite what was taught yesterday made Alex have a warm and proud feeling. ¡­.. A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. Victor continued reciting the entire book of ¡®Eldrissian¡¯ language Alex¡¯s face soon changed to that of surprise ¡®How is he able to learn that much in a single day¡¯ Alex thought But upon thinking that this book was taken from mansion¡¯s library and Victor would have read this book before, made his emotion calm down Victor kept on reciting. After finishing current book he started reciting one book after the another. Alex¡¯s face started to change again . No matter how he think no human should be able to recite multiple book without seeing non-stop, only few people like high ranking magician with great memory capacity can do this. Alex was both surprised and confused. His impression towards Victor now reached a whole another level. Unknown of what was going inside Alex¡¯s head Victor star reciting ¡®Valtherian¡¯ language. Now Alex¡¯s face started showing visible signs of shock. His forehead wrinkled, eyes bulging out, pupils dilated, jaw dropped and mouth wide open, for a moment Alex even forgot to breath. Seeing a five year old speak world most difficult language like as if it was his mother tongue, which even the natives of demon continent can¡¯t speak. Alex involuntarily stood up, stumbled upon his chair and fell back along with his chair. THUD! Hearing this Victor who was reciting the book without a care in the word abruptly stoped speaking. That is when he saw Alex lying on the floor along with his fallen chair mumbling about something. Victor could only understand few world such as VALTHERIAN¡­¡­.VICTOR¡­¡­..TALENT¡­¡­..MONSTER. That is when Victor understood that, him speaking Valtherian language was something which is crossed the line. ¡ª¡ª¡ª Alex woke up, looking up he found a ceiling of a well build room. ¡°Oh you have woken up! Wait here I will inform the lord victor of this¡± this was the physician talking. Alex was currently inside the treatment room in the mansion, as he had been unconscious after he hit his head on the floor due to his fall. The door creaked open and victor entered the room with Clara. Seeing Alex, Victor spoke ¡°Are you feeling well.¡± Alex who was currently in a daze recalling what had happened, jolted awake when he heard victors sound ¡°I am fine sir¡±Alex said ¡°If I may sir victor, would you be kind enough to tell me, from where you learn Valtherian language form.¡± Alex asked with a face of admiration ¡°I learned it from the book you left on the table¡± Victor spoke with not intending to hide it. Hearing this Alex¡¯s admiration increased leap and bound Alex face became sad and he spoke ¡°I think I may not be able to teach you much sir, with your skill you are completely capable of learning independently from the book available in the library¡± Alex felt a deep weight in his heart while speaking these words. He know he will not be able to get his income which he intends to use to solve his family problem, although he want to continue teaching victor he knew very well that he will be holding him back if he continued to do so. Hearing this victor was both happy and sad at the same time, he had heard about Alex¡¯s condition from his mother and knew this was a hard decision form Alex¡¯s side. Victor decided to confront his father to create a solution for a predicament like this. It would be a waste to loose talent like him victor thought. Victor requested Clara to get permission to meet his father. Though he would like to meet his father right now, but he was a busy man. He has his hands full of dealing with both his territory and business, even though he has many helpers he always try to do everything by himself. ¡­.. Later Clara returned to victor and said that he got permission to visit lord Aldrich Victor asked Alex to rest in the guest room while he meet his father. He notified Clara to lead Alex towards guest room. Clara did as instructed and lead Alex who was confused of everything happening around him towards the guest room. Victor walked towards study room where his father was located and knocked on the door to signal his arrival KNOCK, KNOCK ¡°come in¡± a stern voice came from inside. ¡­¡­¡­ Author note Yesterday I thought of publishing this chapter in the evening but it took time to write it.
