《Eternal Frozen Queen》 Waking Up I opened my eyes and confusion flickered in my eyes. I stood up and looked around. I was in a forest. I could tell as much from the numerous trees and bushes around me. But that wasn''t all. Everything was covered in snow. I shivered slightly at the slight breeze that passed through. I looked down and noticed I had no clothes on. Thankfully no one was around to see me, but being naked out in the cold was dangerous. I knew I had to find something to cover myself with but there was nothing around here. As I looked around I noticed something floating around. I focused on it and realized that it was a floating pale blue dot. For some reason I felt attracted to it. Before I even realized I was already in front of it. I then noticed that there was not just one dot but many. Dozens were around me floating mindlessly. I reached out to touch the one in front of me but I couldn''t. My hand simply passed through it. I titled my head slightly to the side in confusion. I thought to myself as I looked at it. " Gua " I winced at my mispronunciation. I touched me throat and cleared it. I hummed for a bit before attempting again. " Go. " It stopped floating around before going to where I wanted it to. I smiled felt a surge of excitement surge through me. I looked at the other pale blue dots and had a thought. " Come. " All the blue dots around me clumped around me. My smile grew even brighter but my head felt a little fuzzy. I ignored it and kept commanding the dots to do things. They swirled around me, rustled the leaves of the trees around, I even had them make a snowman. I groaned in pain as my head started pounding. My body felt hot, my heart was pounding in my chest, I felt dizzy, I lost my balance and fell onto the snow covered ground. I was breathing rapidly as I laid there. I clutched handfuls of snow but I started feeling weak. My body went limp as black dots covered my vision. Soon enough I lost consciousness. I''m not sure how long I was unconscious for, but I eventually woke up. I opened my eyes slowly. I still felt slightly weak and my head was a bit mushy. I noticed I was covered in a thin layer of snow and that I was very cold. My body felt a little numb but I didn''t mind it much. I crawled out of the snow and looked around. The area was much like when I first woke up. There were a couple leaves and footprints that were almost covered up. My stomach growled and I frowned lightly. I was hungry but I didn''t have anything to eat. My throat was also feeling a little dry. All that in combination with my weak body, muddled thoughts, and cold body made me rather vulnerable. Tears threatened to fall out my eyes as I sniffled a bit. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. I stood up and started walking. The blue dots were still everywhere but they were more concentrated. They formed something like a misshapen line. I followed this line since I had no sense of direction, or knowledge regarding my surroundings. As I walked I saw various things. Mostly snow alongside trees and bushes. Some of the bushes had what seemed like berries on them. However I couldn''t eat them. The blue dots seemed to panic when I tried, so I hesitantly left the berries behind. As I continued on my steps grew slower. Although I didn''t mind the cold much, it was affecting me. I could feel that in a couple more hours I would probably die. My stomach growled and I wrapped my arms around it. If not the cold then starvation and dehydration would. It was then I saw the spots gathered around something. It seemed like a bush without anything special about it. I went over to it and inspected it a bit. Eventually I noticed a hole leading down behind it. There was a tree just a bit behind the hole. The roots were mostly hiding it. I looked up at the tree. The bark was a dark brown while the leaves were light green. Then again it was rather hard to tell due to the snow covering everything. I stopped looking at it as I started crawling down the slanted hole. It was a bit of a tight fit, and my hands, knees, and a bit of my arms. I didn''t mind it as I eventually made it into a larger but still small chamber. I wasn''t able to stand but I could fully extend my body. I noticed a small bush in the corner, but most of my attention was grabbed by something else. There was a Rabbit, covered in white fur. It stated at me from the corner. We simply stated at each other for a while. I slowly started moving towards it. It stared at me intently as I slowly closed in on it. As I got close I was ready to grab it, but as I went for it the rabbit jumped on my head. I quickly used my hands to turn around as it jumped towards the only entrance and exit. If it got away then I''m not sure the next time I would get something to eat. " STOP! " As the words left my mouth I felt the surrounding blue dots surge to the rabbit. One of it''s let''s suddenly got stiff causing it to trip. I used the opportunity to leap towards it. I pinned it''s head to the ground with one of my hands. I made sure to hold it''s legs down as well as it squealed. My head hurts a bit but I ignored it as my hunger controlled my movements. I moved my hand from it''s legs to its body as I lifted it up. I wrapped my hand around it''s neck. " I''m sorry. " I forced it''s head back far further than would normally be possible. I heard a crack as it''s struggling came to a sudden hult. I checked it''s breathing and heartbeat confirming it''s death. I felt a bit sad at my actions but it was out of necessity. I looked at it wondering how I would even eat it. My eyes wondered to it''s face. I put my finger into the side of it''s eye, pushing my finger to the side. I felt disgusted but the feeling and I closed my eyes halfway. I took a deep breath as I started tugging on the skin. I pinned it''s face down on the ground as I constantly pulled. Eventually I managed to tear the side of the eye. A shudder went through my body at the feeling. I kept breathing as I continued tearing away thr fur covering it''s body. As my hands started to get covered in blood I stopped. I looked at what I''ve done and I started feeling nauseous. The smell of blood wasn''t helping either. I felt like I was going to throw up so I closed my eyes. Darkness overtook my vision as I kept breathing. '' I need to do this. If I don''t eat it then it''s likely I''ll die of starvation. Death is a natural part of life. There''s nothing wrong with killing out of necessity. The soft hearted are the first to die. I need to be hard like crystals but fluid like water. Only then can I truly shine and do what I need to. '' An unrecognizable figure appeared in my head, but disappeared soon after appearing. I ignored it as I opened my eyes, much more calm then before. I continued tearing away the fur. What it takes I stared down at the furless, bloody, and raw carcass of the rabbit. I stared at my hands and arms. I could feel some of the blood on my face and other parts of my body. My eyes were a bit dull as I picked up the rabbit. I felt a bit sick about what I just did, and what I''m about to do. I closed my eyes and brought the carcass up to my lips. I opened my mouth and quickly bit down. The taste of blood entered my mouth and I gagged. Despite that fact I bit down harder and teared away a chunk. The carcass nearly slipped out of my hands as I chewed the piece. It was tough, and any flavor it may have had was overshadowed by disgust and the blood. Eventually I managed to swallow it but I felt sick. I shuddered at the thought of continuing to eat it but I had to. So I did. I''m not sure how long it took, but eventually I ate nearly the whole thing. The blue dots warned me against eating certain parts, like the intestines. In all honesty I nearly threw up as I ate the eyes and brain. I felt full but also a bit hallow as my body was covered in blood. I decided not to think about it as I laid down the cold was no longer bothering me. Despite it still being cold it was a lot warmer than outside. I could feel my body recovering from my harsh experience with the cold. But I didn''t think about it as I closed my eyes. I wasn''t comfortable, but I was mentally exhausted enough for it not to matter. After sleeping for a while I opened my eyes. I sat up before leaning against the dirt wall. I looked at the bloody fur of the rabbit. I stared for a bit before sighing. I didn''t feel like doing anything. I was still thirsty but I didn''t feel like going out to search for water. So I closed my eyes again. It wasn''t long after that when I felt the cold but comforting touch of something. I opened my eyes and saw many of the floating blue dots around me. They weren''t conscious, not exactly at least. But I knew they were comforting me. A small bittersweet smile appeared on my face. I laid there for a bit longer before I stretched my arms and looked around. The bush from before was still here. Now that I''m actually looking at it something about it seems special. The wood was white in color while it''s leaves too on a more blue hue. There seems to be bright blue veins in the leaves which made me wonder. My thoughts of doing anything to it left as the blue dots warned me against it. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. With that said I was still thirsty. So I started crawling out of the hole. The entrance had a bit of a snow buildup so I cleared it. After that I stepped onto the snow. I could see my breath and it was cold. But that was nothing new as I looked around. The blue dots were leading me somewhere again. I looked up at the sky and saw that it was morning. The sun was rising in the direction I was heading. That meant that the blue dots were leading me West. As I followed the path they set for me I kept track of my way back. I saw some more rabbits and some elk around. There weren''t much else that I could see around though. I enjoyed what I could see though. Soon enough I arrived at a bush with a bunch of berries on it. The Blue dots were telling me that it was good to eat so I started picking a bunch of them. Out of curiosity I put one in my mouth. My eyes light up as a mix of sweet and sour burst in my mouth. ''This taste is rather interesting. I like it a lot though. These have a bit of juice in them, so they can keep my thirst at bay. I don''t have anything to carry them with though. It would be better to find a water source. That way I won''t have to go forging for berries everyday.'' " Blue dots, can you guys lead me to a river? Any source of water is fine. " After a couple seconds I could tell they weren''t willing to. I didn''t know why, but I didn''t pester them. I looked around and noticed a rather big stick. I picked it up and swung it around a bit. I dug through the snow and found a rock. I nodded to myself as I went back to the bush. I ate half the berries on the bush. I grabbed a few of them and scattered them around as I walked back to my home. Honestly it wasn''t much of a home, but Its where I live. As I reached my home I crawled down. As I reached the main chamber I got comfortable. I looked around and noticed the bones and fur of the rabbit I killed and ate. I put the stick and stone to the side. ''What should I do with those? I was going to use the stick as a weapon but. '' I nodded to myself as I thought of a good use for them. I grabbed them and used the stone I got earlier to grind at the bones. Due to them being cold it was harder than usual. Despite this eventually I sharpened all the ribs of the rabbit. My arms were a bit tired, but that wouldn''t stop me. ''The fur isn''t very clean but I can''t really clean it right now. It won''t br very good at storing water, but berries will be fine.'' Suddenly it hit me. Snow is water but just I a different form. I could''ve been eating the snow this entire time instead of being dehydrated. I know snow may not be the most sanitary thing but it''s not too bad. Smart I smiled at this revelation. I won''t have to worry about water now. Food is still a problem, but hunting shouldn''t be that difficult. But such thoughts weren''t needed right now. I needed to focus on finishing my craft. With this in mind, I started piercing the bones through the rabbit fur. Honestly it was a lot harder than I expected. With a bit of time and effort, I managed to get all the ribs in place. I held it up and inspected it. It was rough work and there are a lot of improvements I can make. I probably could''ve shaped the fur before freezing it outside. Then again that would probably be difficult and I''ve never done it before. ''Well this will do for now. The bones are stick out of the sides, and the fur is a little saggy. I''m not sure how many berries it can carry either.'' I shrugged my shoulders as I set it to the side. I used the stone to sharpen some more of the bones. Soon I had multiple sharp bones. If I had something to tie them together it would be perfect. I didn''t though so I would have to use them as they were. They would work fine as weapons. The only real problem was carrying them around. I didn''t think about it much as I put them in the bowl thing I made. ''Wait, I don''t think I ate the intestines. They should be around here somewhere..... Here it is! I can use it to tie the bones to my waist. I should probably clean it first though. I don''t really have anything to clean it with though. I should probably find a river even if I don''t need water. I haven''t seen any predators, but that doesn''t mean they aren''t around. Smelling like a decomposed corpse is bad when hunting as well. I sighed since I had many problems. ''Finding water wouldn''t be easy, but not impossible. I can try to find animal tracks, but they disappear quickly in the falling snow. I can rely on the blue dots again. I''ll look around by myself first. Getting a lay of the land is just as important. Well, to an extent at least.'' With a plan in mind, I wrapped the sharp bones around my waist with the intestines. I pickup up my bowl and crawled outside. I looked around. Seeing nothing threatening, I completely got out. '' Where should I go first? It doesn''t really matter. The way I went before had a few animals. It was west right? I''ll head east this time then.'' This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. I looked up at the sky and did some quick calculations. I could tell I had around 4 hours to explore before it started to get dark. Wolves had a tendency to move active at night, so I didn''t want to be caught out. Either way I walked out in the snow. Everytime I went it is was always snowing lightly. From prior experience I know I''ll be fine for around 6 hours. After that though I''d need to get to someplace warmer. I didn''t think about that though as I looked around. Everything looked, and sounded, the same. The snow crunching under my feet, the trees with light green leaves covered in pure white snow, the dark bark that stood out amongst a sea of white, and the occasional brown fur of elk. ''Now that I think about it, who am I anyway? Ever since I woke up I''ve been alone. Well, not completely. I have no memories yet I still know quite a bit. Actually, I have no idea what I look like. I should try to find some ice crystals, or something similar.'' Other the small identity crisis I had, I was completely fine. I didn''t really care about who I am. I just want to live how I want. I''m not exactly struggling to survive nor do I want to be. The conditions I''m in are less than desirable, but it''s not that bad. ''Before I managed to catch that rabbit. I think I managed to almost freeze its legs. I did want it to stop. Perhaps if I will something it happens? Maybe it was my words?'' I looked around and picked up a leaf. "FREEZE!" Frost covered the leaf as it soon froze solid. I also felt a little tired. Not physically but mentally. Something I did notice is that some of the blue dots around me surged towards the leaf. So I quickly came to a conclusion. ''The blue dots are cold in nature. My words and intent can control them. However as a cost some of my mental energy is used. Besides my limited mental energy, is the amount of blue dots limited as well?'' As if answering my question I noticed the leaf I was holding releasing small blue particles. ''So it generates more over time? This means it''s basically an infinite source. What are the blue dots called anyway. There''s no way their called blue dots. '' As I was thinking a about this, a name suddenly came into my head. Winter Sprites. Sprites themselves are elemental beings. Sprites are born naturally, and they tend to have waker wills than most. This is one of the reasons I can control them. However it doesn''t exactly seem right to use them because I can. "You guys are called Winter Sprites right? I know you guys aren''t exactly the smartest, but you understand me to an extent. Do you guys even want to be controlled? It makes me feel kind of bad forcing others to do things." I held out my hand, and some of the winter sprites floated around it. I smiled a bit. "Then again it doesn''t really seem like you guys care. I doubt you guys would be this happy otherwise." I couldn''t understand them, assuming they were even saying anything. However I can feel what they are trying to convey. Perhaps it''s some mental things. Either way I could tell they were warning me about something. I looked to the side and my body stiffened. Wolf It was a bit far, but around 12 meters away there was a wolf. It a light gray pelt and dark brown eyes. It wasn''t moving, probably because I was staring in it''s direction. However that would only buy me a bit of time to think. ''Should I run? No, I can''t outrun a wolf. Even if I did It would be easy for it to find me again. Does it have a pack nearby? No, wolves usually howl before hunting. Even then they wouldn''t be alone. There doesn''t seem to be any others around. I have my bone knives. But can I even win a close range fight? I''m only a child...'' As my thoughts ran through my head, the wolf seemed to noticed I knew it was there. It stopped hiding and start running towards me. I had little to no time to think now. A direct confrontation would be bad for me. So I ran behind a nearby tree. I dropped my bowl as I grabbed two of the four bone daggers I had. I listened intently as the wolf neared. It slowed to a crawl, seemingly wary of me. As the wolf''s about peaked around the corner I stabbed forward. My preventive strike was aimed towards it eye. As It peaked around my bone knife grazed one of it''s eyes, and left a small cut on the side of it''s eye. It snarled and backed up. It looked at me intently with a low growl. One of it''s eyes were closed. ''At least I still managed to get one eye blinded.'' The wolf started to circle around me. I made sure to continuously block it''s view of me using the tree. As I was doing this I suddenly noticed it changed directions. Before I could cut off it''s path it leaped at me. I swung my bone knife but that did little to the wolf. It bit down at my neck but I used my arm as a sacrifice. As it bit down on my arm I couldn''t help my scream in pain. I tried to stab it on the throat but it quickly backed off. Before I could do anything it grabbed my other arm and yanked me to the side. I ended up on my side and it pushed me down onto my stomach. I knew I was in a bad situation. If it managed to get my neck I was dead. So, I willed the winter Sprites to form spikes of ice. The snow around me parted as clear spikes of ice surged from the ground. They pierced into the wolf from every direction. I heard it''s high pitched yelp. Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. I felt it let go of my arm and I quickly used my elbows to drag myself away from it. Before I could get far I felt a surge of pain hit me mind. I groaned in pain as I started having trouble breathing. I could barely take note of the pain coming from my arms. I felt dizzy and my vision was blurry. But I knew if I passed out I would be dead. The wolf couldn''t kill me, but other animals certainly would. With that in mind I took a couple minutes to breathe. My head felt like it was pounding against my skull. I felt tears pool in my eyes. I felt weak and the fact that I felt so helpless made everything worse. Even then, I turned myself onto my stomach and slowly stood up. The wolf was dead. Spikes of ice pierced it''s stomach, throat, eye, and it looked similar to a pincushion. ''My arms aren''t broken at least. This pain is certainly going to be hard to deal with though. My vision isn''t as bad but still blurry. My body feels like a sandbag, and my legs barely feel like their there.'' It was hard to stand. The fight was rather brief but despite that I nearly died. I knew if I had utalized my abilities from the start I could''ve avoided this. But there wasn''t time for self reflection now. I slowly walked over to the wolf. When I arrived in front of it I simply stared. I tried to lift my arms, but I was met with a burning pain. I bit my lip. ''Do I have to leave it here? I can''t stay here long. My arms are to injuries to use. There''s no way for me to bring this back. I can''t take anything. If I don''t take anything all my efforts will be in vain.'' After a bit of thinking my shoulders slumped. I turned away and started walking back. Staying would only put me in more danger. ''I need to go back and rest. It''s possible for me to get an infection. Perhaps I can find some medical herbs or something tomorrow. But when I wake up I''ll be hungry and exhausted. I can get more of the berries but I can''t collect them. Wait I forgot my bowl... I can come back for it later. I''m not sure when I''ll be able to use my arms again. I can probably use my powers when I wake up to encase them. I can use my hands still so that''s something. This cold weather will slow my blood flow as well. That''s a good and bad thing, but at least blood lost isn''t to much of a problem.'' Eventually I made my way back to my little home. I looked behind me and saw my blood trail was cut off. It was possible for something to find me still though. I was to tired to think about that. I simply went down the hole feet first. After a little I managed to make my way inside. I just laid on my back. I stared up at the hardened dirt above me. "Who would''ve thought staring up at dirt would be so comforting." My voice and was low. I closed my eyes, and within the minute I was sound asleep. Blurred Memory 3rd Person POV ¡°These are called Winter Sprites. These ones are low rank and very numerous. They aren''t hard to control, but there''s a limit to the power they can exert.¡± The woman¡¯s body and face were blurred. A little girl with mid-length white hair, dark blue eyes that seemed to shine, and a cute smile on her face looked on excitedly. The Winter Sprites seemed to dance around the pair. They seemed to be in a cave made of ice.Dark in color, yet everything seemed shine like no other. ¡°Winter Sprites have weak will and can barely be considered sentient. However, we have a special connection to them. Because we are ###### ###########.¡± The words seemed to distort into something unrecognizable. Despite this the woman continued on. ¡°My child, only through repetitive use and hardships will you be able to grow. The powers imbued in our souls are something no one else can match up to. All you need to do is use your head, and you will find things not so difficult.¡± The woman touched the young girl¡¯s head. After that the surroundings started to fade. Everything turned to black. _________________________________________________________________________ Back to the Main Character I opened my eyes and stared blankly at the dirt above me. I blinked a couple times before looking around. I was still in my home. ¡®That was a strange dream. Who was that woman? Maybe it¡¯s my mother? Then again I have the feeling that¡¯s not quite right.¡¯ I thought about it a bit more as I sat up. I tried to grab something only to grimace in pain. I looked down at my arms. They weren¡¯t bleeding, but I was covered in blood. My shoulders slackened a bit as my stomach rumbled. I sighed. ¡®This is a problem. I can go out and get some berries, but being covered in blood isn¡¯t a good thing. Then again it is frozen, so the smell shouldn¡¯t be all that strong.¡¯ The Winter Sprites were still floating around. I looked at them and felt a stronger connection than before. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. ¡®Using the Winter Sprites uses quite a bit of mental energy. Using, not exactly the best word to use. Either way it is true that I''m using them. I can use them to make things, but what should I make? I can kill pretty easily with the use of Winter Sprites. Unless a pack of wolves finds me I should be fine.¡¯ With a plan in mind I stretched my limbs a little. After that I looked at the small bush in the corner. Nothing had changed so I left my home. I looked around and noticed that nothing had changed. I saw some tracks, but they belonged to an Elk. ¡®Should I try to hunt, and kill it? I don¡¯t have much experience hunting though. And Elk tend to be rather strong. I¡¯m not even sure how to fully utilize my powers. I¡¯ll start small first. I don¡¯t need so much meat anyway.¡¯ With that in mind I started making my way west. I went west because I remember there being berries over there. Where there''s berries, there''s rabbits. And I really want rabbits. A bath would be nice too. Even if I find a river or pond it¡¯ll most likely be frozen. I could move or break through the ice, but the water would still be freezing. I¡¯m not exactly fond of slowly freezing to death while bathing. Either way I don¡¯t want to stay dirty forever. After a bit over 2 hours I arrived at where I found my first berries. Not the poisonous ones. However most of the berries were gone now. ¡®Seems rabbits and other things are around. I do remember seeing a couple around here. Should I find a place to lay nearby? My white hair should help me blend in.¡¯ As I was thinking I looked down at my bloody figure. ¡®Well I can also act like I''m dead near the bush. I won¡¯t really be able to open my eyes though. Smaller animals like rabbits aren¡¯t exactly easy to hear either.¡¯ A mulled over how I can fix this problem. My eyes landed on the Winter Sprites. ¡®Well they did warn me of the wolf from before. They also guided me to my current home, and this berry bush.¡¯ I whispered. ¡°Can you guys tell me if a small animal like a rabbit is around? Like, lower the temperature around me or something?¡± The cold Spirits around me moved around a bit faster. I took that as a yes. I nodded and started digging a couple inches into the ground with my feet. After that I slowly laid down in the snow. ¡®This could go well, or very badly. If a bear or another predator comes I might die. The Winter Sprites do what I want, l but I don¡¯t really know the specifics. Like the time when I killed the rabbit. And yesterday when I killed the wolf. I had no specific idea of what I wanted to happen. Perhaps it was left to the Winter Sprites on how to go about doing it. Quite unfortunate I don¡¯t have the time or resources to test things out. I¡¯m sure I''ll get a chance later though.¡¯ As I closed my eyes, I completely relaxed my body. I was motionless and covered in blood. I highly doubted anything could tell I was alive. Unless they got close enough to check. By that point they would already be dead though. I didn¡¯t really have any reservations about killing, but I certainly didn¡¯t enjoy it. As around half an hour passed I felt the temperature suddenly drop. Recognizing the sign I focused on my ears. As silence pervaded throughout the area, I started to feel a little anxious. Soon I felt something wet touch my neck. My body involuntarily stiffened. That¡¯s all it took for whatever it was to start running away. I quickly opened my eyes and identified it was a rabbit. By this point it was already around a meter away from me. Bear? As the rabbit ran away I concentrated. I willed the Winter Sprites to over and hold it¡¯s leg to the ground. The Winter Sprites surged towards the rabbit. The rabbit fell as a chain of ice came out of the ground and bound its leg. I felt a bit drained but not enough to really affect me. I quickly caught up to the squealing rabbit and stomped on the back of its neck. It sunk a bit into the snow as it continued to squeal. To make the process easier I formed a small spike of ice on the bottom of my foot. I stomped down again and the rabbit went limp. I nodded in satisfaction. ¡®Honestly this makes things a lot easier. Although there is a limit to how much I can use the Winter Sprites in a day. If I use them too much then I won¡¯t really be able to get anything done. Not to mention I will end up passing out. While I''m relatively safe from bigger animals in my home, I''m still not completely safe.¡¯ With these thoughts going through my mind, I think about how I''m going to carry the rabbit. I get on my knees and wrap my hands around its head. I try to stand up but I get pulled down. ¡®Oh, it¡¯s still stuck to the ground.¡¯ I will the Winter Sprites to separate and the binding slowly disappears. I feel another drain on my mind but it¡¯s a lot less than before. ¡®Doesn¡¯t take as much to separate them into an intangible form as it does to solidify them.¡¯ I noted this down and started walking back to my home. I quickly noticed the evident pain coming from my arm. The added weight of the rabbit was really going well with my wounded arm. I sighed and stuck the rabbit from my hand to my thigh. I felt a bit tired but that was it. Wasn¡¯t exactly hard to mostly ignore the feeling thankfully. As I made my way back I wondered what I would do. ¡®I know finding a source of water would have to be done later. I would have to find a way to heal my arms faster. I need to figure out how to use my abilities to the fullest. I also need to figure out a better way to travel safely. It¡¯ll take me a couple weeks to map out everything within a couple hours of here. Well my arms come first anyway. Other than hunting I''ll mainly be looking for herbs. They¡¯ll be buried under the snow though.¡¯ Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. As I made my way back to my home I stopped. I titled my head a bit in confusion. The hole seemed to be a bit bigger than it was. Snow and frozen dirt was scattered. Whatever was digging didn¡¯t go all down though. The hole was around 2 - 2 ? feet deep. I looked around and saw paw marks. I walked over and referenced the paw to my hand. Seeing how the paw print was around 4 - 5 times bigger than my small hand. I nodded to myself. ¡°Most definitely a bear. Wolves and bears in the same place. Not surprising but it can be a problem.¡± I sighed to myself. Since the bear was digging around there''s something it wants down there. It¡¯s entirely possible that it caught my scent. Either way I didn¡¯t have enough time to think about all of it. I was hungry, and a hungry young lady is a savage young lady. I chuckled at my stupid attempt at a joke. Well it wasn¡¯t really a joke attempt. I went down into my home and set the rabbit down. I sniffed myself and frowned. No doubt I smelled horrible. Unfortunately that isn¡¯t something I¡¯ll be able to deal with right now. Despite that being a little upsetting, the real problem was in front of me. ¡®How am I gonna eat this rabbit? Can¡¯t really use my arms. Using my mouth would be wholly inefficient and difficult. Well sitting here thinking is going to get me far.¡¯ With that said I did have some ideas. First I put my knee on the rabbit to hold it down. I didn¡¯t really have anything sharp, so I made a somewhat sharp dagger with the Winter Sprites. This gave me a headache. I tried to cut into the rabbit''s fur using only my wrist but it wasn¡¯t working. I even ended up cutting the side of my leg. It certainly hurt and the bleeding was pretty bad. Unfortunately there wasn¡¯t much I could do about it, so I ignored it. After trying a couple more things I ended up covering my feet with a thin layer for frost, and I frosted the ice knife to my feet. I stepped on the rabbit with one foot, and cut into it with the other. Balancing wasn¡¯t even the hardest part. I was so hungry I started feeling nauseous. Concentrating in a state like that was near possible. Eventually I managed to tear open the fur. I detached the knife but I didn¡¯t have the energy to get rid of the frost on my feet. The frost was cold but I could barely feel it. I took out some organs like the intestines, but other than that I just started eating. I¡¯m not sure why, but something about raw meat is so attractive to me. I couldn¡¯t cook it even if I wanted to. There wasn¡¯t much of a taste to it. I did really like the texture and everything though. Well despite me calling myself a lady I certainly wasn¡¯t eating like one. Then again anyone who is starving would eat like a wild beast. Not being able to use my arms made things a lot harder than they needed to be. Stuffing my face into the torso of a dead rabbit was less than pleasant, but not totally unpleasant. As I finished my meal I looked at my hands. Very messy. Sticky, bloody, and other things. I sighed. ¡°Change of plans. I really need to find a way to clean myself.¡±
