《The Reality Convergence Chronicles》 Book: 1 Chapter: 1 The End of All Things The year is 2067, humanity has made many technological advancements over the years. They have created ways to safely change your genetic makeup, travel across galaxies, and have even Terra-formed other worlds to live on and even set up teleportation between those worlds. Sickness was a thing of the past, Cancer was non-existent and life expectancy was up to 230 years! Humanity was at it''s peak and so was their knowledge. They still had schools to teach humanity about advanced sciences and technology, and Dravos was a student at one of the best colleges in the world where they taught their students to be the best of the best, The Celestial Institute. He was Currently in a class about alternate reality theory. "So class, what we currently know about alternate realities, is that there are possibly an infinite amount of realities that could be exactly like our own with small differences, or even possibly have completely different laws of physics that would be entirely incomparable to our own. For instance, up could be down, their version of light could be the absence of it entirely, or their version of the human race could have evolved from dinosaurs. Science could be replaced or even used with magic in any of these alternate realities. SO, in conclusion if by some extraordinary circumstance you find yourself in a reality you are unfamiliar with and you are still alive, know that the laws of physics are probably still somewhat the same otherwise you wouldn''t be alive". " Now do any of you have any questions"? Dravos raised his hand because he had a very important question. "Yes Dravos go ahead". the teacher said acknowledging Dravos "If you were transported to a different reality, what are some things you should do that would greatly increase your chance of survival"? Dravos asked "Well first you would need to familiarize yourself with the environment and see if there is anything similar with our own, to see if there are any food or water sources while at the same time making sure you don''t accidentally run into any poisonous plants or aggressive wildlife". the bell rang as the class came to an end. "All right class is over everyone, i am going to give you all an assignment based on Dravos''s question, i want you all to create your own guide that explains what you should do when you find yourself in an unknown reality". Dravos finished the rest of his school day easily thanks to his high IQ. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. He got along well with his parent''s and his sister who, like him, had high IQ''s and always wondered how the universe worked. They decided that they were going to attend the same school when they got older and so they each did their best and made it to the same college. Dravos made his parents proud as he was the top of his class in college along with friends just like they were when they were in college. Dravos''s parents worked at The Reality Management Organization or R.M.O for short. Their job was to keep track of things happening in their reality and keep dangers such as black holes in check. Little did they know that this would be their last day alive in this reality. Their day was going normally for the most part until all the alarms went off, and that''s when they saw it on their satellite, something had appeared in the far corner of their universe, and it was getting bigger. It was devouring planets and stars alike. Millions were dying and they could do nothing about it, they tried every weapon they had and it just swallowed it all like it was a light snack. When they saw it, everyone except for Dravos''s parents went immediately insane it''s form looked like an ever changing demonic eye. The other members of the R.M.O were all chanting the same words over and over again. The same thing was happening on earth where everyone, with the exception of Dravos, his sister who''s name is Lana, and his two friends, were all chanting the same thing. "ALL WILL END WITH THE ENDLESS ALBATOTH"!!! Cars were crashing, planes started falling out of the sky, and people started chanting those words louder than what was humanely possible. Dravos tried to call his family and friends but there was no signal. "SHIT, COME ON PICK UP ALREADY"! he had said out loud hoping they would answer, but to no avail. And then the whole world fell silent, not even a whisper as something horrifying appeared in the sky. When Dravos saw it he hoped he was dreaming, The Giant Demonic eyes appeared and everything started being sucked into the eye, buildings started being pulled from the ground and floating towards the eye that devoured everything like it was the tastiest food in existence. Everything was being devoured, even reality itself as patches of void started appearing. Dravos was filled with dread, he realized that there was nothing he could do, there was nothing ANYONE could do to stop that monstrosity from devouring everything he knew and cared about. He started tearing up at the utter helplessness and then that sadness turned to anger as he was slowly drawn towards the demonic eye. In utter defiance of his end he shouted with the fury of his lost loved ones and home"I WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THIS! EVEN IF I HAVE TO SELL MY SOUL, I SWEAR I WILL DESTROY YOU"! and then there was darkness. Dravos thought this would be the end, but much to his surprise, he woke up in a completely white room, sitting across from an entity that couldn''t be described, and the entity uttered a sentence that completely baffled him,"This wasn''t supposed to happen". Book: 1 Chapter: 2 A New Start part 1 "This wasn''t supposed to happen"?!!! Dravos exclaimed in pure rage. "MY ENTIRE REALITY WAS DESTROYED, EVERYTHING WAS CONSUMED!, AND YOU HAVE THE GALL TO SAY THIS WASN''T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN"?!!! Dravos then took a deep breath to calm himself. "I apologize, you obviously didn''t do anything wrong here, otherwise i wouldn''t be here right now. You clearly have saved me from that abomination so i''ll let you explain how the destruction of my reality wasn''t supposed to happen". Dravos said calmly still seething with rage. "Like i said, this wasn''t supposed to happen. Somehow your reality had come into contact with the void, and a cosmic devourer by the name of Albatoth, took full advantage to establish a cult on a distant planet within your universe. He gave them knowledge of the mystic arts that would allow them to breach a hole into the void and allow him to pass through into your reality. Obviously they succeeded in doing so, as your entire reality was devoured and you are the only soul i was able to save, due to you having a more robust soul than the rest of the denizens of your reality. Your robust soul was also the reason you were able to stay sane as Albatoth descended on your world". As the entity finished talking, Dravos took a few minutes to digest the information, before he had a few more questions for the entity. "So i''m assuming by mystic arts, you mean magic and if so, why hasn''t there been anyone else using magic in my reality? Also, you said that i have a robust soul, what does that mean and why was i able to be saved because of it? And lastly, what happens now"? as Dravos finished with his questions, the entity smiled and began to laugh "Ha ha ha ha, I''m glad you asked, fortune favors the curious. For your first question, the reality you were from had very little magical energy of any kind and knowledge of how to wield such energies didn''t exist there. For your second question, when a person has a robust soul, they are much more likely to resist soul attacks, and if their soul is strong enough, it can exist outside of their body for a long time without dissipating. To be honest, the strength of your soul surprises me. Normally when someone has their soul devoured by a cosmic devourer, their soul gets absorbed almost immediately to strengthen itself. But your soul is so strong that it had survived 5 whole years inside the stomach of Albatoth without deteriorating at all, which is almost impossible for a mortal to achieve. You are one of only three people i have ever seen in the infinite realities to have such a strong soul, yet none of them would have been able to do what you have done. Which is why i will now answer your third question. I am going to give you another chance at life in a new body, in a reality that will be vastly different from your own. Magic will be commonplace and there will be many different races that inhabit the reality you will be reborn in. There will also be many horrifying monsters you will have to face and many treasures that are hidden around different worlds for you find. I will also give you a chance to choose some starter abilities that will help you to survive. But i should warn you, your soul will only be able to handle four currently so choose wisely. He took his time scrolling through the pages upon pages of skills until he found the first ability he wanted. The skill was called [ Prodigious Esoteric Mind ] and it would greatly enhance his already high intelligence in new ways, like being able to remember anything he saw once perfectly, learn new spells with less effort, and greatly enhance his language comprehension to new levels. This skill would be a key element to his survival in an unfamiliar environment where there would be people speaking languages he wouldn''t be able to understand. He then continued looking through the different pages of skills for skills that would help him in combat. Book: 1 Chapter: 3 A New Start part 2 Dravos continued looking through pages upon pages of skills for a certain skill that if exists, would help him not just in combat but in normal situations as well. He finally found it after a while searching. [ Thought Acceleration ] , as the name suggested, would allow him to process information 5 times faster than normal magic practitioners which would help him learn enemy attack patterns faster and boost his already high learning speed to an insane degree. The next skill he picked was [ Mana-Born ]. [ Mana-Born ] would help him be more in tune with the surrounding mana by making him able to see the countless types of mana in the world and allowing him to utilize it in many ways. Dravos had picked three skills that would help him in both his magic development and combat, but he still had one more skill to choose. Dravos then realized that there might be enemies in the world he was being reborn in that could be invisible to the naked eye. So he went through the skill list until he found the perfect skill to combat invisible enemies. [ True-Sight ] Would allow him to see through illusions and see invisible enemies like spirits or other malevolent entities. After Dravos finished picking his skills, the entity started speaking "Now that you are done picking your skills, I will tell you a few things that you''ll need to know about the world you are going to and about magic affinities. The world you are being reborn in is called Egrest, the technological level is comparable to what your earth called the renaissance era, but instead of pursuing more modern innovations, they instead decided to pursue magical research that, in many ways, was more advanced than the technological level of your reality. I should also tell you that everyone in that reality is connected to something called the celestial accords which appears to everyone like a RPG level system in your world. Things like levels and experience are commonplace knowledge to them and allow people to get stronger by doing a multitude of different things, from slaying enemies to finishing quests, and even creating spells. The highest level a normal mortal can achieve in Egrest is 20, after someone reaches level 20 they will either need to find a way to become a higher version of their race or become something entirely different. After which your level will reset to 1, and you will be able to level indefinitely. At certain levels when you become a new race, you will evolve. Each time you evolve, you take a step in becoming something greater than you were before. Everyone in the new reality you are going to has a certain affinities towards different types of magic, including you. The Affinities that you posses Dravos are Blood, Death and Demonic. These Affinities are seen as evil in Egrest so you will need to be careful who you trust. One last thing, I will be adding an addition to your system when you arrive. It will be an AI assistant that will help you survive and also help you with day to day life. So do you have any questions"? the entity finished "Will I be reborn as a baby or will I already have a body to inhabit when I get there"? Dravos asked. "Your body will be reconstructed and placed in an abandoned cabin that resides in a lower level forest perfect for leveling, the AI assistant will help you from there". The entity was silent a he waited for Dravos to ask any more questions. "That was all, I am ready to be reborn". As Dravos finished uttering those words he felt his consciousness go dark. The last thing he heard was the entity saying "Good luck, You''ll need it". Book: 1 Chapter: 4 Awakening Dravos finally regained consciousness after what seemed like years of being asleep. The first Thing he did was check his surroundings to see if there was anything useful. He found some books on magic and the world of Egrest. Dravos decided to check out the system before he started reading. As he thought about the system it appeared before him almost instantly.

After looking at his stats he saw that he had no mana and as he was wondering why, a new window popped up. {New Quest}: Form a Mana Core: To be able to utilize mana, you need a mana core. Find a book called; Starting on your magic journey, for information on how to form one, and create your mana core. Rewards: Mana Unlocked, 5 EXP, Basic Knowledge on Blood Affinity "I see, so thats how the quest system works, I''ll be looking forward to doing more quests if they all give rewards". Dravos went over to the bookshelf and searched for the book so he could finish the quest and finally unlock magic. He found it and started reading it. "This is a guide on how to start your journey into the wonderful world of magic and the energy needed to use it. Mana is the energy that makes up our reality and is needed to cast spells, there are multiple different types of affinities one can have that set a path for a prospecting mage to follow. You wont be able to start wielding mana until you form a mana core so I will be teaching you how to sense mana and condense it into a mana core. To start you should find a comfortable position to either sit or lay down in and close your eyes. once you do this, try to sense the mana in the air and pull it into your body. As you do, form a ball of mana near your heart and condense it and make it into a compact sphere. And that is all you need to successfully form a Mana core. Be warned that you have to be extremely careful with this process otherwise you risk the chance of crippling your mana core making it impossible to cultivate more mana later on". "Alright sounds easy enough, I guess I''ll start now". Dravos then sat in a lotus position and closed his eyes. His [ Mana-Born ] Skill made it very easy to sense and manipulate mana, so he did as the book said and started pulling in the ambient mana in the air. What he didn''t realize was that he was quite literally pulling in all of the mana in a 20 ft. radius which made the process of condensing it much harder. He proceeded to condense the mana near his heart with great difficulty, until he completed it with sheer determination. Once Dravos'' mana core was complete, a large amount of mana flooded his body, giving him a huge headache for a couple of minutes. As the mana in his body settled down, the quest window appeared again. {QUEST COMPLETE}: Due to exceeding expectations and creating a greater mana core, you will receive another 5 experience. LEVEL UP! Dravos was then given basic knowledge of his blood affinity, which gave him another headache as the knowledge was ingrained in his mind. After the headache was gone he decided to check his status and was amazed by what he saw.
