《The Prince of Sloth [DxD]》 Chapter – 0 The Birth of the Heir of the House of Belphegor Inside a Castle somewhere in the Underworld In one of the luxurious rooms of the Castle, several women¨Cwearing typical nurse clothes¨Cwere carrying out various preparations for the delivery of a child. While all the preparations were being carried out by the nurses under the leadership of the head maid of the Castle, a man in his late twenties with white hair, a pair of curved red horns on his head, crimson red eyes, a devilish red tail, pointed ears, and a fearsome appearance with red skin, something you would never expect a normal human to have, followed by a woman wearing the maid outfit, entered the room. The man, despite his fearsome appearance, had a nervous expression that of a man expecting his beloved wife to give birth. The demonic-looking man approached the lady resting on the bed. Then, in a manner, you would not expect a demonic-looking being to act at all, he gently took the lady¡¯s hand in his, and spoke to her, ¡°Don¡¯t worry Sephie¡ everything is going to be okay, I am going to be here with you the entire time and make sure everything goes smoothly¡¡± The voluptuous lady with very long and wavy cherry-blossom hair¨CSephie¨Cwith an appearance clearly contrasting the demonic-looking man with normal fair skin color, no horns, and no tails, but with an incredibly beautiful face gently smiled upon noticing the nervous expression of her husband, she lovingly caressed his cheek and teased him, ¡°Darling¡ you¡¯d be more convincing if your hands weren¡¯t sweaty and you weren¡¯t fidgeting. The one giving birth to our child will be me¡ you don¡¯t need to be so nervous, right?¡± ¡°What¡? Nervous and me?¡± the white-haired man scoffed, ¡°Surely you are jesting my dear wife¡ I am not nervous¡ how can I, of all people, be nervous?¡± Sephie passed a teasing smile to her husband which clearly meant that he won¡¯t be able to convince her this easily. Seeking assistance, the white-haired man turned toward the maid standing behind and questioned, ¡°Cecily¡ am I cowering?¡± The orange-haired maid named Cecily adjusted her glasses on the bridge of her nose, and spoke in an apologetic tone, ¡°Please forgive me, my Lord, however, as your personal maid, I must always speak the truth in your and my Lady¡¯s presence¡ you are indeed nervous. It¡¯s quite obvious from the traces of perspiration on your forehead¡¡± To deny Cecily¡¯s words, the white-haired man exclaimed, ¡°Pfft¡ that¡¯s bogus¡ I am not nervous at all!¡± He then turned toward his wife and spoke, ¡°I¡ I am excited, yes, very excited¡ I am not nervous; I am merely excited, this is the result of excitement. Today is the day my second child is going to be born, on the occasion of the birth of my child, wouldn¡¯t I be excited?¡± ¡°Of course¡ of course¡ little Mal is not at all nervous¡ he is just excited¡¡± nodded Sephie with a teasing smile, though she did not appear to be convinced at all. The white-haired man was helpless, and noting his helplessness, the former First Lady of the House of Belphegor giggled playfully. ¡®Sigh, my Lord, that¡¯s what you get for marrying a woman several thousand years older than you¡¡¯ thought Cecily while looking at the previous Lord of House Belphegor with a pitiful gaze which made him a bit depressed. After a while, Sephie stopped teasing her husband, and asked, ¡°Say, Mal¡ have you thought of any name for our child?¡± Mal¡¯s expression immediately changed upon hearing her wife¡¯s question, and he nodded with a smile, ¡°Indeed, I have pondered over that¡ If it¡¯s a boy, we shall name our child Vandegor Belphegor, and if it¡¯s a girl, we shall name her Artemex Belphegor¡ what do you think?¡± ¡°Are you being serious?¡± questioned Sephie with a piercing gaze. ¡°What¡ what do you mean?¡± Mal asked in shock. ¡°What do you mean by ¡®what do you mean¡¯? Mal, those are terrible names¡ Vandegor and Artemex? Really, that¡¯s what you came up with?¡± asked Sephie in disbelief. ¡°Eh? Is Vandegor, not a good name? But I put a lot of thought into it!¡± Mal did not anticipate such a response from his beloved wife. ¡°They sound like the name a Mecha or a Pok¨¦mon would have¡ it is weird! There¡¯s just no way we are selecting such a name for our child¡ our child might end up hating us if we gave such a name to our child¡¡± explained Sephie with a helpless expression. Mal pouted, ¡°But I like the name¡¡± The fact that they sounded like the name of a Mecha or Pok¨¦mon was all the more reason for him to want to name their child either Vandegor or Tear depending on their biological gender. Sephie sighed, ¡°Well¡¡± She did not want to oppose Mal¡¯s choice completely, but at the same time, she did not want her child to primarily be called by that name. She pondered for a moment and suggested, ¡°How about Seirios Vandegor Belphegor for the boy and Aurorae Artemex Belphegor for the girl?¡± ¡°I¡ I guess¡?¡± Mal hesitated slightly, but noticing the ¡®extremely radiant¡¯ smile on Sephie¡¯s face, he eventually agreed, ¡°Alright¡ let¡¯s go with those names if it¡¯s a boy, then Seirios Vandegor Belphegor, and if it¡¯s a girl, Aurorae Tear Belphegor¡¡± ¡°Good¡¡± nodded Sephie while lovingly caressing Mal¡¯s face, internally, she breathed a sigh of relief, ¡®Dodged a bullet there¡ Now, all I have to do is somehow get rid of the middle name as well, and we¡¯re all good¡ There was simply no way she was going to allow her child to be called Vandegor or Artemex!¡¯ With the matter of the name settled, the couple then started to discuss other things. Mal was trying his best to resolve any nervousness that his wife might have in regard to delivering their child. Of course, Sephie saw through Mal¡¯ In this manner, time ticked away steadily as preparations neared their conclusion, when suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the air, drawing the couple¡¯s attention. Mal and Sephie exchanged knowing smiles. "She¡¯s here..." they murmured in unison, turning their gazes toward the door. At that precise moment, the door swung open, revealing a breathtakingly beautiful woman in her early twenties. She bore a striking resemblance to Sephie, with long, wavy cherry-blossom-colored hair and a pair of horns on her head, though her pair of elegantly curved horns were distinct from Mal¡¯s as they were neither red; nor curved backward, rather they curved upwards. Her fair skin and pointed ears added to her allure, while her attire¡ªa high-cut formal dress with daring slits¡ªhighlighted her well-endowed figure. With an air of urgency, she stepped into the room and asked, "I¡¯m not late, am I?" Sephie greeted her warmly with a gentle smile. "Roygun..." Mal followed suit, his voice filled with paternal affection. "Daughter..." The woman glanced between the two, her expression softening. "Father... Mother..." She then let out a relieved sigh, her gaze settling on Sephie¡¯s prominently rounded stomach. "It seems I arrived just in time." "That you did, my dear child," Sephie replied with a tender nod and a serene smile. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Mal inquired in a casual tone, "How did the Rating Game fare? It was against the heir of the House of Phenex, was it not? My apologies for being unable to attend this time¡" Roygun shrugged as she approached her parents. "That is quite alright, Father. It is far more important for you to be by Mother¡¯s side at such a pivotal time." She added with a touch of nonchalance, "Yes, it was against Ruval Phenex. The rules this time were rather intricate, making the game considerably challenging." Mal folded his arms across his chest, his expression sharpening as he got straight to the heart of the matter. "Did you secure victory?" Roygun¡¯s lips curled into a proud smile as she nodded. "Naturally, Father!" "Good," Mal replied, a satisfied smile playing across his face. "Well, enough talk of the Rating Game¡" Roygun remarked, waving the topic aside before turning her gaze to Sephie. Her voice softened as she asked, "Mother, how are you faring?" Sephie returned her daughter¡¯s inquiry with a warm, serene smile. She placed a gentle hand on her rounded belly, nodding as she replied, "I am feeling quite well, my dear. And now that you are here, I am wholly ready." "I see¡ If there is aught I can do to assist¡" Roygun offered earnestly. "Silly girl," Sephie responded with a soft giggle, shaking her head gently. "Your mere presence here fills my heart with joy. What more could I possibly require?" Sephie then paused, a playful thought crossing her mind, and she turned to her daughter with a question. "By the way, my dear Roygun, which would you prefer? A younger brother? Or perhaps a younger sister?" Roygun brought a finger to her chin, pondering briefly before answering with conviction, "Definitely a younger brother!" Mal tilted his head, his brow arched in mild confusion. "And why, pray tell, ¡®definitely a younger brother¡¯? Would not a younger sister suffice just as well?" A faint blush crept onto Roygun''s cheeks as the thought behind her preference surfaced. Yet, she offered no answer, choosing instead to remain silent. Sephie, observing her daughter¡¯s flushed cheeks, merely smiled knowingly. Familiar as she was with her daughter''s taste¡ªand, perhaps, recalling her own fondness for younger men¡ªshe had no difficulty discerning the thoughts running through Roygun¡¯s mind. However, with a mother¡¯s discretion, she chose not to remark on it. At that moment, Cecily approached the three. After offering a respectful bow to Roygun, she addressed Sephie with a composed tone. "My Lady¡ the time has come." Sephie inclined her head gently, acknowledging the announcement. "Very well," she said with a serene smile, before turning her gaze toward Mal and Roygun. "Well then, darling, sweetie¡ the moment is upon us." Mal returned her smile. "I know." Roygun, unable to conceal her anticipation, stepped closer to her mother with an encouraging smile. "I shall remain by your side, Mother." Thus, the long-awaited moment arrived for Sephie, the esteemed former First Lady of the House of Belphegor, to welcome her second child into the world. . . Sometime later ¡°Push my lady¡ the head of the baby is almost starting to come out¡ this is the moment¡ just one big push¡¡± the Obstetrician and maids urged the Lady of House Belphegor to push harder. Mal tightly held his wife¡¯s hand and urged her as well, ¡°Come on Sephie dear¡ I know you can do it¡¡± ¡°Mother¡ please¡ just a little more¡¡± Roygun¡¯s voice sounded from the side. Sephie nodded, ¡°I know¡ I know¡¡± as she clenched her teeth and used all her strength to carefully push the baby out of her womb. The two maids on either side aided her in the delivery by carefully helping her apply pressure. ¡°Coming¡ the baby is coming out¡¡± the Obstetrician exclaimed as suddenly the cry of a newborn resounded in the room, ¡°Uwaaaaaa¡ waaa¡ waaaa¡¡± The Obstetrician carefully held the baby as she quickly cut the Umbilical Cord and passed the baby to Cecily, ¡°Here¡¡± then started providing the post-delivery medical attention to Sephie. Cecily took the baby from the Obstetrician and began cleaning the blood from the baby¡¯s body with warm water and towels, once that was done, she wrapped the baby in a baby blanket and passed it to Mal, ¡°Congratulations Lord Malakarion¡ Lady Sephie has given birth to a perfectly healthy boy¡ Lady Roygun, from this moment forward, you are an elder sister.¡± Mal carefully held the baby¨Cwho had stopped crying soon after the Umbilical Cord on his body was cut¨Cin his arms. The moment he held the baby, he was reminded of the day he had held the baby Roygun in his arms, ¡°My son¡¡± While in Mal¡¯s arms, the baby also curiously looked at the man holding him in confusion. ¡®Where the hell am I? Who are these people? And why are all these people Black and White? Ah¡ no¡ not just these people, but everything, why is everything, Black and White?¡¯ Normally, a newborn baby¡¯s eyes are incapable of seeing anything clearly. Anything further than eight to twelve inches is not visible to them at all, and it takes a few weeks for them to properly see things around them. However, that wasn¡¯t the case for the baby in Mal¡¯s arms, although the sight was still somewhat blurry, he could still see things, however, as you would expect from the eyes of a baby, the boy still couldn¡¯t perceive colors and saw everything in Black and White. For a while, the father and son continued to stare at each other in silence, but that silence was quickly broken by Mal as he smiled proudly and named the boy, ¡°My dear son¡ you are going to be known by the entire Underworld as Seirios Vandegor Belphegor¡¡± Hearing the name, the baby¡¯s expression turned oddly perplexed. Unfortunately, young Belphegor couldn¡¯t speak yet; otherwise, he would have likely screamed at the top of his lungs, ¡®Where in the world have I been reborn? What kind of people names their son Seirios Vandegor Belphegor? Couldn¡¯t they come up with something more¡ normal?¡¯ Mal, oblivious to the peculiar look on the baby¡¯s face, didn¡¯t read into it. After all, he believed newborns were incapable of processing thoughts or understanding the world around them. In his opinion, the baby probably didn¡¯t even understand that he had just been named. At that moment, Roygun gently tugged on Mal¡¯s sleeve and asked in a hesitant, stammering voice, ¡°Fa¡ Father¡ may I¡ may I hold the baby?¡± "Ah, yes... of course. But be careful¡ªSeirios is just a newborn, so handle him gently," Mal said with a nod, allowing Roygun to take the baby into her arms. Although there was no real need to be so gentle¡ªnewborns of their species weren¡¯t particularly fragile¡ªit was Mal¡¯s way of reminding his elder child to show care and tenderness toward her younger sibling. Roygun, as if cradling the most precious and delicate masterpiece in the world, carefully took the baby into her embrace. She gazed into his crimson-red eyes with her own soft pink ones and murmured in a tender voice, "He... he is... my younger brother..." Holding the baby boy close, Roygun felt an overwhelming wave of emotion she had never experienced before. Her heart began to pound violently, and an indescribable warmth filled her chest. ¡®Yes... Seirios... my little brother... how precious you are... how beautiful you are...¡¯ His deep red eyes were so mesmerizing that she felt she could gaze into them for an eternity without ever growing tired. Meanwhile, the baby, startled by the profound gentleness and love radiating from the gaze of the woman holding him, found himself momentarily stunned, unsure of how to react, and could only continue to stare at her. Roygun had no idea how much time had passed, nor did she care. All she wanted was to continue gazing into her baby brother¡¯s mesmerizing eyes. Unfortunately, her moment of bliss was interrupted when Sephie, having regained her strength after drinking a vial of phoenix tears, gently interjected, ¡°Sweetie, Seirios needs to be fed right away¡ let me hold my son.¡± ¡°Huh?¡± Roygun blinked, snapping out of her reverie. She nodded and replied, ¡°Yes, Mother, here you go.¡± She stole one last glance at her baby brother, burning his face into her memory, before carefully passing him into Sephie¡¯s waiting arms. "Thank you," Sephie said with a gentle smile as she cradled their son in her arms, gazing into his clear, crimson eyes. "His eyes, hair, and tail are just like yours, Mal..." Taking his seat beside Sephie, Mal leaned in to look at their son and added, "While the rest of his features are very much like yours, Sephie." Roygun, wanting to join the conversation, blushed lightly and chimed in, "His ears¡ his ears are just like mine." "R-right¡" Mal nodded, a little perplexed. He hadn¡¯t expected Roygun to be so enthusiastic about her younger brother sharing a characteristic with her. Sephie, however, noticed her daughter¡¯s emotions and chuckled playfully. "That¡¯s true," she said with an affectionate smile, making Roygun all the more flustered. Mal smiled warmly as he looked at his wife, daughter, and newborn son before turning to Cecily. ¡°My son has finally been born¡ªit¡¯s a joyous occasion! This calls for a celebration. Cecily, announce to the entire Belphegor Domain and the Underworld that an heir to the House of Belphegor has been born!¡± ¡°As you wish, my lord!¡± Cecily replied with a respectful nod before leaving the room, leaving Mal, Roygun, and Sephie behind. Just when she was about to exit, Cecily suddenly recalled something, ¡°Yes¡ how could I have forgotten¡¡± Without disturbing the family, she took a Polaroid camera out of nowhere and used it to capture the special moment inside a picture. Click! As the picture came out of the camera, Cecily looked at it with a gentle smile, ¡°Yes, this is it¡¡± With a satisfied nod to herself, she left the room. Chapter – 1 Is it wrong to be a reincarnated demon baby in Another World? A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld While it is true that adults from all walks of life have at least once in their lives wished to become children/babies again since they are so tired of something or the other in their lives be that their Social Circle, Work-Life balance, Taxes, Love & Sex, Gender identity, politics, and whatnot and want to escape all these problems by once again being a carefree child who is completely ignorant of these complex problems and doesn¡¯t have to worry about them, but have they ever questioned what it¡¯s like to be a baby again? Contrary to what the majority might expect, the life of a baby is not all Sunshine and rainbows. There is a multitude of problems that a newborn baby has to deal with on a regular basis and that too multiple times a day that an adult doesn¡¯t even have to be very concerned about! Don¡¯t believe it? Try being a baby once and wait till you poop or pee your diapers just because your body isn¡¯t developed enough to be able to control your bowel movement! And if shitting your pants isn¡¯t embarrassing enough, you have to cry or wait till an adult, in most cases a woman notices that you have pooped or peed your pants and changes your clothes as well as cleans you. Tell me what¡¯s harder and more problematic¡ the inability to control bowel movement or dealing with gender identity stuff? I would bet a dozen milk teeth that the answer is¡ the inabi¨Cokay fine, it¡¯s dealing with gender identity stuff, but that does not mean that having to shit your diapers because of the inability to control bowel movement is not any less problematic! ¡°There, it¡¯s clean now¡ you can rest easy, Lord Seir¡¡± spoke a brown-haired bespectacled woman with a kind and loving smile. She was wearing a French maid uniform. ¡®Fortunately, I am still a baby and can¡¯t speak or move too much¡ otherwise, I would want to commit suicide out of embarrassment every time mother, elder sister, ¨¦lise, or some other maid changes my clothes and cleans my baby ass after I shit or pee in my pants!¡¯ If you were thinking that problems faced by a newborn baby are dealt with already after the pee and poop stuff, then you are sorely mistaken¡ there¡¯s more where that came from. The next problem that a newborn baby has to deal with is frequent hunger, just like now¡ ¡°Here you go, Lord Seir¡ it¡¯s time for a meal¡¡± said ¨¦lise as she loosened her dress and brought out her left breast which she carefully put into Seir¡¯s mouth for him to suckle on it for milk. ¡®Itadakimasu¡¡¯ Seir expressed his gratefulness for the meal, then began to drink milk from ¨¦lise tit while thinking to himself, ¡®Hmm, I wonder when mother would be back¡ she mentioned something about Council or whatever¡ and sister is also preparing for some kind of game, don¡¯t know when she¡¯d be free¡ ahh, forget it, let¡¯s focus on the nips for now¡¡¯ Some unreliable stats state that on average newborn babies tend to breastfeed somewhere between 8 to 12 times per day, or even more frequently. Human science says that this frequent breastfeeding pattern is essential for ensuring that the baby receives enough nourishment and antibodies. But different from the stats and science, Seir is breastfed somewhere between twenty to twenty-five times per day on average. ¡®Have the days become longer than twenty-three hours, fifty-six minutes, and four seconds or is it just my horny side kicking in?¡¯ Since it¡¯s breastfeeding, naturally, there¡¯s nipple sucking¡ If you are a man, you have got to love breasts. Sure, you can be an ass lover, thighs lover, or even an underarm lover (kinda weird fetish, to be honest), but you can¡¯t deny that you don¡¯t have an ounce of love for boobs. No matter how minimal that love may be, every man loves boobs, hence comes the possibility of the horny side taking control. But yes, the horny side only comes into play when Seir is being breastfed by women other than Sephie. For some reason, he never thinks about horny stiff while Sephie breastfeeds him, however, whenever other women including maids so generously task their tits with the responsibility of quenching the hunger of their young lord, things become rather peculiar and moany. As for the case of his elder sister, well, things are a bit weird there so let¡¯s skip her for now and keep focusing on the maids. On the topic of maids, many maids are working for Mal and Sephie, the count probably even reaches a number as absurd as several hundred, though Seir can¡¯t be sure since he has never had the opportunity to count the exact number personally. However, the sight of all the maids and butlers in the castle assembled together while the Chief Butler and Head Maid delegate tasks to them is a sight burned into his memory, as such, he believes the count to be several hundred, at least. ¡®Hundreds of maids and butlers working for my parents¡ it seems I really do belong to a very powerful and rich family¡¡¯ He has indeed noticed many things about this family of his that make him wonder what kind of people they are. Multi-billionaire? Nobility? Royalty? It¡¯s hard to determine with the little information he has gathered up until now¡ But one weird detail Seir has noticed is the quirky hair color of the people around him. Soon after his baby eyes developed and he began perceiving all kinds of colors, he realized that very few people like ¨¦lise¡¯s have a normal hair color since her hair is black, but that¡¯s not the case for quite a few people in the castle. Not talking about the others, Sephie¡¯s and Roygun¡¯s hair color is very weird¡ how many people have natural cherry-blossom-colored hair? ¡®I would think none¡¡¯ There are also maids with very weird Hair Colors ranging from different shades of blue, purple, orange, green, and whatnot¡ Noticing all these different hair colors that normally do not exist, Seir realized that either these people are very quirky, or there¡¯s another reason for them to have such biologically impossible hair colors. People with biologically impossible hair colors aren¡¯t the only strange detail Seir has noticed. There are other critical observations he must consider¡ªones tied directly to his father and elder sister. For one, Seir¡¯s father clearly isn¡¯t human. His red skin is a glaring indication. After all, what human has red skin? ¡®Even Trump¡¯s skin wasn¡¯t as red as Father¡¯s, there¡¯s no way he¡¯s human.¡¯ While Seir briefly entertained the possibility of a rare skin condition, the evidence stacked against that theory. The pair of crimson horns jutting from his father¡¯s head, black sclera in the eyes, and the red tail swishing behind him dispelled any hope of normalcy. Even if the red skin could be explained away, what about the pair of horns, black sclera, and tail? Honestly, his father looked far less like a human and far more like a demon. Or maybe he is an alien with that kind of physical features? After all, it wouldn¡¯t be so strange for an alien to have that kind of skin color, horns, ears, and tail, right? I mean, just look at Na¡¯vi people in the Avatar series; they look pretty inhuman, and they are aliens. But what difference does that make if he is a demon or an alien? After all, he isn¡¯t a normal indigenous human from Earth anymore, that¡¯s for sure. As for his elder sister, she doesn¡¯t have red skin or a tail, and at first glance, she appears human¡ªif you ignore her pointed ears and the unusual sakura-colored hair she inherited from Sephie. However, she also has a pair of horns, though their design differs from Malakarion¡¯s. Even so, her pointed ears, biologically inexplicable hair color, and horns¡ªtraits no human could possess¡ªare enough to suggest that, no matter how breathtakingly beautiful she is, she¡¯s probably not human. The only one who looks convincingly human is Sephie¡ªprovided you disregard her sakura-colored hair. Yet, there¡¯s something about her that keeps Seir questioning her humanity: she looks far too young for her age. Although Seir doesn¡¯t know Sephie¡¯s exact age, he assumes that since his elder sister appears to be in her twenties, Sephie must be at least in her mid-forties, at least. Despite that, she doesn¡¯t look a day older than her early twenties. Maintaining oneself well and appearing younger than you are is one thing, but Sephie¡¯s case feels entirely unnatural. This might suggest that Sephie isn¡¯t human, either. The implications don¡¯t stop there. As the child of Malakarion and Sephie, Seirios knows he¡¯s likely not human himself. After all, he has a pair of horns and a tail like his father, and ears similar to his elder sister. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. Even so, whether or not he¡¯s a demon isn¡¯t something that troubles Seir much. As long as he doesn¡¯t have his father¡¯s red skin, he¡¯s all good. Yeah, Seir definitely didn¡¯t want to have that unnaturally reddish skin color, and, thankfully, skin and sclera resemble his mother giving him a somewhat human-like appearance. In any case, adapting to a father with red skin and horns was challenging at first, but now it doesn¡¯t bother him in the slightest. The fact that his parents and sister might not be human doesn¡¯t matter to him. They treat him with love and care, and that¡¯s all that¡¯s important. Everything else feels irrelevant. Of course, not being human might carry consequences he¡¯ll only uncover in the future. But for now, it doesn¡¯t concern him, and he doesn¡¯t see a reason to care. And well¡ putting aside his inhuman lineage for a while, the frequent hunger problem can be described as both a bane and a boon. Bane because a baby has to rely on others to feed him, boon because he gets to suckle on women¡¯s tits. ¡®Yup, it¡¯s my horny side kicking in probably¡¡¯ After all, the soul inside the baby is that of a man in his twenties! While it¡¯s possible that it¡¯s his horny mindset prompting him to drink more milk from women¡¯s tits, it did make Seir muse of another oddity¡ ¡®How come so many of them are lactating around the same time?¡¯ When several hundred maids are working for your parents, it¡¯s not at all surprising if a few of them were also pregnant around the same time as your mother and therefore, they can produce breast milk¡ but if that count reaches several dozens, then you have to ponder, ¡®Has science mad such incredible progress?¡¯ As per Seir¡¯s observations, there is no other newborn baby in the Castle. If there was another baby in the castle, it would have been brought around him already for the baby to become a play partner, but that did not happen, and he doesn¡¯t think that the maids who breastfeed him were pregnant around the same time as Sephie, in fact, he doesn¡¯t think that either of them was pregnant at all. All of them look so youthful and carefree; they don¡¯t act like they are mothers of newborns like Sephie does. Giving birth and becoming a mother of a child seems to bring a sort of maturity in a woman, it¡¯s like a dependable and caring vibe they give off that most maids in the castle don¡¯t seem to carry around them. Instead, all they ever do is fawn over him as if he is the cutest thing in the world, play with him, and let him suckle on their breasts all he wants. While Seir certainly enjoys these things, he has to wonder, ¡®Perhaps some kind of magic that allows women to artificially produce breast milk?¡¯ Since demonic-looking beings exist within the castle, the existence of Magic and mystic can¡¯t be denied, right? And honestly, Seir has already noticed the existence of magic, or to word it more accurately, the existence of supernatural powers that can¡¯t be explained with his scientific logic. In his opinion, such forms of supernatural Powers that enable the people of the Castle to perform incredibly unnatural and unscientific feats can only be categorized as Magic. When and how did Seir discover it, for that, we would have to go back a few moons. . . Flashback: Start ¡°Seir dear¡ Mommy is going to meet her old friends¡ be a good boy and don¡¯t create trouble for Cecily, okay?¡± said Sephie as she adjusted her dress having just breastfed her son, then she gently kissed him on the forehead, which made the boy giggle joyfully. Sephie smiled, and after once again caressing Seir¡¯s hair, she got up holding him in his arms, and spoke to the maids in the room, ¡°Alright girls, I have fed him, so there¡¯s no problem for a while, but make sure to feed him as per the schedule¡ I should be back before midnight, during that time, I shall leave my Seir in your care!¡± One of the maids in the room immediately puffed her nonexistent breasts forward and spoke confidently, ¡°Rest assured, Lady Sephie¡ I shall watch over Lord Seir¡!¡± Before Sephie could give any response, another maid in the room snickered at her, ¡°Are you sure you wouldn¡¯t let your clumsy side take over and make some kind of mistake, flatboard?¡± The first maid was immediately offended and looked coldly at the maid mocking her, ¡°Huh? What did you say, you cow?¡± ¡°Better than being a flat board¡¡± giggled the second maid as she proudly lifted her assets by folding her arms underneath her breasts, and said, ¡°At least, I have got a good size to feed Lord Seir if he gets hungry¡ if it¡¯s you, you won¡¯t even be able to feed him those nonexistent breasts¡¡± ¡®There¡¯s no need to fight¡ while it¡¯s true that I prefer bigger boobs¡ smaller ones have their own charm, so I¡¯d suck on both of your tits without any problem¡¡¯ The first maid spoke coldly, ¡°Shut it cow, being flat doesn¡¯t mean I can¡¯t produce milk¡ I can do that just fine and better than you¡ Besides, you should probably stay away from Lord Seir, and refrain from ever feeding him, otherwise, you¡¯d rub off your bimboness on our young Lord, and we don¡¯t want that!¡± The second maid was takenaback, ¡°What? Bimboness?¡± and suddenly, the temperature in the room started to increase, ¡°What did you just say you cold-blooded snake?¡± In response to the increasing temperature, suddenly, a freezing chill appeared in the room as the first maid spoke, ¡°Exactly as you heard, you bimbo!¡± ¡°That¡¯s it¡ let¡¯s settle this once and for all, I will show you your place flatboard!¡± spoke the second maid as dozens of fire arrows suddenly materialized around her. ¡°If it¡¯s a fight you want, then it¡¯s a fight you will get, cow!¡± responded the first maid coldly as dozens of ice arrows started to materialize around her. ¡®Did Sheetal and Agni just create Fire arrows and Ice arrows around her? Am I hallucinating? No, but the heat and cold are very real¡ I am not mistaken, they are really creating fire and ice around him! Holy shit! How in the God¨Couch why did my head hurt suddenly? No, that¡¯s not the important thing at the moment¡ the important thing is the fact that Sheetal and Agni created Fire and Ice around them¡ and no one in the room is surprised¡¡¯ Just as both Sheetal and Agni were ready to duke it out, both of them had their ears twisted by Cecily as she asked them in a gloomy tone, ¡°What do the two of you think you are doing? Is that how you are supposed to behave¡ and that too before my Lady and Lord Seir?¡± Both the maids looked at the head maid of the castle in absolute dread and apologized immediately, ¡°We are sorry madam¡¡± Cecily scolded Sheetal and Agni with a cold snort, ¡°Humph, apologize to my Lady for your inexcusable behavior¡¡± The two maids immediately turned to Sephie, and apologized with a bow, ¡°We are sorry my Lady¡¡± Sephie smiled, ¡°It¡¯s alright, but make sure not to do anything of this sort the next time, understand?¡± For her, both Sheetal and Agni are small children, so she isn¡¯t bothered by something so small. Of course, that doesn¡¯t mean she would interfere with Cecily rebuking them, as that would mean her interfering in her duty as the Head Maid of the Castle. ¡°We promise, thank you, my Lady!¡± both Sheetal and Agni expressed their gratefulness to Sephie for her benevolence. Cecily continued, ¡°Now go to your rooms and wait for me to decide on your punishments for misbehavior and disrespect to our masters¡¡± The two maids bowed lightly and excused themselves. Sephie smiled helplessly as she watched Sheetal and Agni exit the room, then spoke to Cecily, ¡°Don¡¯t be too hard on them¡ they are still only teenage girls, it¡¯s normal for children of that age to act on their impulses¡¡± Cecily bowed lightly, ¡°As you wish my Lady¡¡± Sephie nodded approvingly, then said, ¡°As for taking care of Seir in my absence¡ Honestly, I wanted Roygun to watch over Seir. Unfortunately, her game hasn¡¯t concluded for the past week¡ it¡¯s still going on¡ sigh¡ this one is probably one of the longest-running games ever!¡± Cecily immediately responded, ¡°I shall watch over the young Lord myself¡ and if I have something to do, then I shall have ¨¦lise take care of our young Lord¡¡± ¡°Alright, with you and ¨¦lise watching over my boy¡ I can rest assured¡¡± . . Flashback: End That was just the first instance, later, Seir went on to confirm the existence of magic on multiple occasions which made him realize again and again that he was no longer living in the World he knew before his death. ¡®The concept of Magic is really real? Does that mean I have been reborn into a different world and not the Earth I remember? A different World in which supernatural phenomena such as pyrokinesis, cryokinesis, hydrokinesis, and aerokinesis exist? A different world in which people that look like demons exist?¡¯ Figuring out such a thing only a few weeks after being reborn as a baby was certainly a shocker for Seir, and naturally, he wanted to see if he too could perform these supernatural phenomena, he was curious. While it¡¯s true that curiosity often kills the cat, he was still willing to give in to his curiosity since the satisfaction from satiating the curiosity is also enough to bring the cat back to life, but that¡¯s where the next problem a newborn baby often faces comes into the picture. If you are a newborn baby, especially if you are born into a very powerful family that might either be Multi-Billionaires or some kind of nobility or perhaps even royalty capable of employing hundreds of servants including maids, butlers, chefs, guards, gardeners, and whatnot in their castle, you realize that you would always have someone watching over you no matter what you are doing to the point that there¡¯s no privacy! Even a newborn baby needs some privacy to secretly try and imitate the supernatural phenomena he/she discovered to create a similar effect such as creating fire arrows and ice arrows, but no¡ the maids don¡¯t understand this problem at all, they just want to fawn over him all the damn time and squeal at how cute he/she looks no matter what he does. ¡°So cute~¡± ¡°He is sleeping¡ Lord Seir looks so adorable~¡± ¡°Oh, look he peed his pants¡ ahh¡ but he is so cute~¡± ¡°Look¡ Lord Seir just burped out the milk he drank a moment ago¡ he looks so endearing~¡± ¡®Who the fuck looks endearing while burping out milk?¡¯ Seir wanted to scream at the maid, it¡¯s a pity that he is incapable of speaking at all! Although very angry, he could only take out his frustration on nips. ¡°Mmm~ Lord Seir is a little too vigorous today... maybe he is very hungry¡ he is such a darling~¡± Putting aside the cute problem¡ okay wait, being always called cute is also a problem, I mean come on, just how adorable am I to be called cute at every turn? ¡®That¡¯s it¡ I must make sure that people stop calling me cute all the time¡ when I grow up, I must develop such a body that they will be calling me daddy!¡¯ Just as Seir had such a thought, a bluish Magic Circle appeared on the floor of his room, and from the magic circle the familiar figures materialized, ¡°We are back¡¡± Realizing that Mal and Sephie were back, Seir stopped drinking milk and turned to look at his parents. ¨¦lise immediately adjusted her maid uniform using magic to not appear disrespectful toward her masters, then while holding Seir in her arms, she got up and bowed, ¡°Welcome back Lord Mal¡ Lady Sephie¡¡± The Lord and Lady Belphegor smiled lightly and walked toward their son, ¡°Did our Seir create any trouble?¡± ¨¦lise shook her head, ¡°No my Lady¡ Lord Seir has always been very well behaved¡¡± ¡°I see¡¡± chuckled Mal as Sephie took her son in her arms, then spoke, ¡°Seir¡ how were you my baby¡ did you miss mommy?¡± ¡°And what about daddy? Did you miss Daddy?¡± Mal also asked while bringing his finger closer to his son¡¯s face. ¡°Aaaabaaa waa¡¡± while mumbling random baby noises that don¡¯t even make any sense in any language translator, Seir lifted his hands and held Mal¡¯s finger as he started to play with it like a baby would. Sigh, the life of a newborn baby is not easy, but¡ it¡¯s also worth it if you have loving and caring people around you, and it¡¯s definitely not wrong to be a reincarnated demon baby in another world. Chapter – 2 How NOT to try & use Magic? Imagine being a plain old human being who was born and lived on twenty-first-century Earth for nearly two decades, then suddenly dying and being reborn into a World where magic exists! Granted, Seir wasn¡¯t actually a plain old human being in his previous life, rather, he was a scientist with no scientific morals and would go to any lengths to research whatever he wanted. At the end of the day, what would such a normal human being do when they discover that they have died and reborn into a world filled with magic? What would be the first reaction of a normal human regardless of whether they are male, female, or other? Since there are no statistics available in regards to such a question, answering it is subjective to one¡¯s personal opinion and experience which may or may not be applicable to everyone or as they call it in democracy, the majority, but what is clear is that for a human from the modern-day Earth, the concept of invoking, manipulating or manifesting supernatural phenomenon to bend the laws of nature of the material world, otherwise described as Magic is a completely foreign concept. Humans of Earth may or may not understand the Concept of Magic and Magic itself, but from the era of the uncivilized tribal societies to the civilized era of modern machines and AI, the idea of Magic, mystic, and supernatural has perhaps always fascinated Human society. Humans may or may not believe in the existence of Magic and the supernatural; they may treat the concept of Magic and Mystic as nothing more than hoaxes, trickery, stupidity, and superstition, but nobody, not a single human, can deny that, at least once in their life, they have longed for Magic in some form. Be that just in the form of some good luck charm, human longing for magic is very real. ¡®If only I could use Magic, life would be easier¡¡¯ ¡®Oh god¡ I wish I could use Magic, I would be able to complete my homework effortlessly¡¡¯ ¡®I wish there was some way to manage taxes magically¡¡¯ ¡®I wish I had a way of knowing what everyone around me thinks about me¡¡¯ ¡®Man, do I really have to go there on such short notice and that too in such terrible weather? I wish I could use magic, I would be there in a jiffy!¡¯ ¡®Mommy, when am I going to get my Hogwarts letter? I am already eleven and it¡¯s almost July, shouldn¡¯t owls have brought it by now?¡¯ ¡®Science is incapable of curing my illness¡ if only magic existed, perhaps there would be a way to heal my illness¡¡¯ ¡®Oh god¡ please do some magic and give me good luck for today so that I don¡¯t mess up my first date with Jennifer!¡¯ ¡®If I had magic, all my problems would be solved without any problem, heck, not only mine, I would even solve all the unsolvable problems on Earth like wars, terrorism, poverty, crime, violence, hunger, global warming, gender identity issues, and cancer!¡¯ And so on¡ But at the end of the day, Magic and mysticism are something people can only long for as it does not exist in the reality of Earth that Seir used to live on in his previous life. But this is not to say that Magic doesn¡¯t exis¨C? No wait¡ while Magic doesn¡¯t exist, people who perform magic do exist and are widely known as magicians, mentalists, astrologers, seers, tantriks, or whatever they want to call themselves¡ but they do seem to exist. They claim to perform magic and other supernatural phenomenon, but are they really what they claim to be? Explaining magicians and mentalists is, in fact, quite simple: rather than beings capable of manipulating the supernatural, they are entertainers who use tricks, techniques, cleverness, observation, engineering, and experience as their skills to leave the audience in awe. No doubt they have mastered their craft with hard work, practice, and dedication and must be praised for that, but the truth is, in reality, they aren¡¯t true magicians, they are entertainers. On the other hand, astrologers, seers, tantriks, et cetera who claim to harness the supernatural forces are, in fact, using human¡¯s fear of the unknown, uncertainty, and superstition, as well as their own keen observation skills, and vagueness as their tools to fool people, they too aren¡¯t magicians. True magic, mystic, and supernatural are concepts only found depicted in mythologies and fiction, hence why such genres are incredibly popular among the populace of the modern-day earth, in actuality, there is no definite proof of their existence in the real world. On the off chance that it exists, the practitioners must be highly commended as information about it never reached the mainstream media and the general public, but that is only a what-if scenario, and highly unlikely to be a possibility. Although it¡¯s true that people long for the supernatural, in reality, most of them are also very self-aware of the fact that magic and mysticism are concepts that exist only in fiction and fantasy¨Cthose who don¡¯t think so need to touch some grass and hang out with some real-world people that live in present reality to escape their escapism tendencies. If even doing that doesn¡¯t help, they probably need to immediately see a psychologist for some psychological help to readapt and get used to the real world, and if they don¡¯t want to do that, then they must accept that they are far too gone to be able to live in the modern human society that is slowly and steadily heading towards its own doom. Naturally, Seir too longed for magic in his previous life, although it wasn¡¯t to the point of developing escapism tendencies¡ but he did waste much of his teenage days daydreaming such stuff. If getting reborn with the memories of the previous life intact and getting the chance to live another life in an alien world from the start was already a miracle that science can never begin to explain, then discovering the definite proof of the existence of true magic in the new world was the cherry on top. If it was biologically possible for a month-old baby to get hard, Seir would have already orgasmed at the thought of being able to use magic, that¡¯s just how excited he was and wanted to use magic immediately. But that¡¯s where the problem arose¡ ¡®Sigh, it¡¯s really troublesome¡¡¯ sighed Seir as he looked around him. Since he is only a three-month-old baby at the moment, three to four adults, mostly Sephie, Mal, or Roygun, and a few maids or butlers working in the castle are almost always around to watch over him. It doesn¡¯t matter what he is doing; they are always present around him. ¡®Why don¡¯t these people understand that even a baby needs some privacy to secretly try and perform some magic stuff he has watched the people in the castle perform before his eyes, but no¡ they wouldn¡¯t let me have my privacy¡¡¯ While he understands their reasons to be present around him all the damn time. It¡¯s probably for security and safety reasons; it¡¯s also because they want to fawn over him; always having people around kind of makes it impossible for him to use magic without alerting them. ¡®But then again, even if no one was watching me, would I really be able to use magic? In the first place, how do you use Magic?¡¯ He does not have an answer to this question. Certainly, he witnessed servants of the castle use magic right before his eyes, but that is not enough for him to be able to perform the magic as well, his IQ, grasping skills, intellect, and genius are not that high. Sure, he was a scientist, but that was a profession he earned after years of study and research. As a scientist, if you asked him how to perform a chemical experiment or conduct a specific test, he could provide a decent explanation. However, when it comes to the question of ¡®How do you use magic?¡¯¡ª and that too without much knowledge about this world, Seir has absolutely no idea! In fact, Seir doesn¡¯t even know if he can use magic¡ personally, he believes that he can use magic because he has witnessed Mal, Sephie, and Roygun perform some sort of magic with his eyes, which means that the three people he is genetically closest to are perfectly capable of using magic. Taking into account how genetics work, if the parents have some trait, normally that trait is passed down to their children, which means that if his biological parents are capable of using magic, and if ¡®being capable of using magic¡¯ is a hereditable trait, then as their legitimate biological son; he ought to be capable of using it as well, right? Unless, of course, he is super unlucky and his genes are somehow expressing the recessive traits. That would be a real, pity, wouldn¡¯t it? ¡®Let¡¯s hope that I didn¡¯t draw the shortest end of the stick when it comes to the genetic lottery!¡¯ But on another note, is the concept of Genetics applicable in this strange world with magic in it? Seir doesn¡¯t have an answer; all he can try to do is figure out whether he can use magic, and there¡¯s only one method to do that, which is to actually try and use magic, which brings him back to the starting problem of always having people around. ¡®Fuck it, Sephie and Mal, Roygun can use magic as well¡ Cecily, ¨¦lise, Agni, Sheetal, and other maids and butlers in the Castle are capable of using magic¡ and everyone seems to love me and adore me so even if I am discovered while using magic, it wouldn¡¯t be that big of a deal other than the fact that I would probably be treated as a very talented baby¡ on the other hand, if I am found incapable of using magic, that might not be a piece of very good news¡ so it¡¯s better to try and figure out a way to use magic to avoid the scenario of being incapable of using magic.¡¯ With that in mind, Seir decided to no longer care about privacy and attempted to use magic in the coming days. . . A few weeks later ¡®Why isn¡¯t it working?¡¯ thought Seir in frustration. For the past few weeks, he has been continuously trying to use Magic, but it¡¯s not working at all! He tried to create water but there was no result except failing to control his pee and once again ended up wetting the diaper, talk about pathetic. He tried to create other elements such as fire, wind, air, earth, lightning, and so on¡ but there wasn¡¯t any result, nothing appeared, which led him to wonder quite often, ¡®Don¡¯t tell me, I am incapable of using Magic¡? That would be a very big problem!¡¯ There are two problems with him not being capable of using magic. First is naturally that his hopes of being capable of using magic would be crushed, and the second problem would be the poor treatment he might end up receiving from his family if he is incapable of using magic. The fear of being neglected and poorly treated led Seir to continuously try and figure out a way to use magic at any cost, but no matter what he did, he was unable to use magic, which made him shit his diaper! ¡®Am I doomed?¡¯ such a thought appeared in his mind, but it was quickly discarded because Seir soon came across something that reignited his hopes. While he failed to use Magic, he discovered that whenever he attempted to use magic, a violet aura would surround him. According to his guesses, that violet aura is the fuel required to use Magic, and it is known as the Demonic Power. ¡®How do I know that this fuel is called Demonic Power, you ask? For that, we would have to go back a few days in the past¡¡¯ . . Flashback: Start ¡®Come on¡ this time for certain¡¡¯ ¡®Water Ball!¡¯ Hum! Although the water ball he was hoping to create did not appear, Seir was suddenly surrounded by a violet aura which confused him. ¡®Huh? What is this¡? It¡¯s not a water ball¡ but it is definitely something related to magic¡¡¯ While Seir was trying to analyze the violet aura that suddenly appeared around him, Sephie¨Cwho was reading a book¨Csuddenly blinked her eyes as she sensed something, ¡®Huh? This is!¡¯ and looked at the source. Unsurprisingly, she noticed the violet aura around Seir¡¯s body, and was shocked, ¡®It really is!¡¯ Immediately, she put down the book on the coffee table and approached the crib on which Seir was ¡®playing.¡¯ ¡®¡¡¡¯ ¡®¡¡¡¯ The pair of pink eyes and red eyes stared at each other as Seir¡¯s concentration was broken and the violet aura surrounding him disappeared. ¡®Uh-oh, I don¡¯t know how Sephie would react¡¡¯ thought Seir as he looked at his mother. Although he had confidence that she wouldn¡¯t freak out and start calling him a monster or something, he still couldn¡¯t help but be nervous about creating a supernatural phenomenon while still a baby. Turns out, he was worrying for nothing, as the aura around Seir disappeared, Sephie crouched down beside the crib, and with a smile, she caressed his cheek excitedly, ¡°Isn¡¯t my baby a genius? You are only two months old and you can already channel your Demonic Power¡! Daddy would also be very happy to hear that his son is a genius!¡± ¡°Awa wawwaaa awaaa¡¡± while speaking out random baby words, internally, Seir breathed a sigh, ¡®Fortunately, she is treating me as a Genius instead of a monster.¡¯ At the same time, he noticed something particular spoken by Sephie and couldn¡¯t help but wonder, ¡®Demonic power? As in, this fuel needed to use magic is called Demonic power¡? Do they call it Demonic Power because we are Demons or something? It¡¯s a strange name for what might essentially be just Magical Energy!¡¯ The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Flashback: End . . While Seir felt that calling magical energy/fuel demonic power was somewhat weird¡ he did not think too much about it. Denizens are free to call this magical energy whatever they want, the name is irrelevant, what¡¯s important is that he possesses this Demonic power thing. Having confirmed that he is not incapable of using magic, Seir is both happy and relieved. The next thing on his to-do list is to somehow learn how to control his demonic power and use it to perform supernatural phenomena known as Magic! . . . One Month Later ¡®Come on Demonic Power thingy¡ create the windy effect¡¡¯ thought Seir as he tightened his forehead and imagined a small cycle of wind appearing above his crib and urged his Demonic Power to get consumed in order to produce the effect he intended to see. As you¡¯d expect, a few moments after Seir imagined the windy effect, suddenly, a violet aura appeared around his body as he felt a small decrease in his Demonic Power reserves, then an esoteric magic circle of the same color as the aura surrounding his body appeared above the crib, and from that, a small burst of cycling wind appeared. Clap! Clap! Clap! The maids on the side suddenly clapped as they saw a brilliant display of magic from baby Seir. Sheetal even went as far as to comment, ¡°Amazing¡ it worked, Lord Seir really did use magic¡ to be able to perform conscious magic at the age of just three months¡ it¡¯s nothing but brilliant¡¡± Agni nodded in amazement ¡°Yes, Lord Seir is an exceptional genius, isn¡¯t he?!¡± The other maids in the room agreed with the pair of fraternal twin sisters who tend to argue about almost everything like Ice & fire. Moving away from the twin sisters, while it¡¯s not strange for newborn babies to produce magical effects around them from time to time, they mostly do it subconsciously and because of a lack of control over their Demonic Power, but that¡¯s not the case for Seir, he seems to have a certain degree of control over his Demonic Power and is producing magical phenomenon consciously, even if that doesn¡¯t make much sense and shouldn¡¯t even be possible considering he is only three months old and not even capable enough of speaking or walking, much less thought processing or imagining; yet he is able to perform magic consciously¡! This is quite strange, and a very big thing. Such strangeness can only be attributed as the mark of a genius. ¡®Yes, Lord Seir is a genius of the highest degree, just like Lady Roygun!¡¯ It happens from time to time when Geniuses with unmatched potential are born in the sense that their existence is very hard to explain by common sense, but even if their existence is quite inexplicable, it¡¯s an undeniable truth that they do exist. Some of the strongest individuals of their race are such beings. The current Head of the House of Belphegor, Roygun Belphegor, is one such being. And that¡¯s also the kind of existence the maids of the castle compare Seir to. They firmly believe that he would also grow up to become one such being. ¡®Lord Seir might not only become someone as strong and capable as Lady Roygun; he might even surpass her!¡¯ Unaware of the maids¡¯ thoughts, Seir smiled proudly as he watched the small cycle of wind, ¡®Atta boy¡¡¯ Truth be told, Seir wouldn¡¯t describe using magic as particularly easy, at least not for the time being. It took him more than two months of constant trial and error after figuring out the existence of Demonic Power to reach this stage, which is quite surprising since he was able to figure out the mechanism of creating magical phenomena like the one he created just now within two weeks. After countless trials and errors across hundreds of attempts at magic invocation, Seir finally concluded that this "Demonic Power" operates based on imagination. If someone can clearly envision a supernatural phenomenon they wish to create, they can invoke it by using Demonic Power as the cost for the invocation. Once he figured out the basic method, Seir was brimming with confidence. He thought he was a genius and assumed he¡¯d be able to master magic in no time. After all, it seemed simple enough: imagine the phenomenon you want to create and channel your Demonic Power to bring it to life. How hard could it be? Unfortunately, Seir¡¯s optimism didn¡¯t last long. Reality hit hard. Not only did things fail to proceed smoothly, but he soon found himself completely stuck. While everything seemed straightforward on paper, it turned out to be far more challenging in practice. Yes, theoretically, it¡¯s simple enough, but when it came to actual application, it wasn¡¯t as easy as Seir had imagined. Perhaps this difficulty was unique to him. Maybe for the native denizens of this world, especially those without a fully matured way of thinking, the first invocation comes more naturally. The main reason invocation proved difficult for Seir was his struggle to imagine and visualize the magical phenomenon he wanted to create. Yes, as absurd as it sounds, the problem lay in the imagination part! ¡®Sigh¡ it¡¯s so embarrassing to struggle with imagination when I used to be such a daydreamer!¡¯ he thought with exasperation. While it¡¯s true that Seir used to daydream quite a bit during his teenage years in his past life, he wouldn¡¯t call his daydreaming skills exceptional. Nor would he describe his imagination or visualization abilities as remarkable or something to be proud of. In fact, these skills were rather lacking and nothing worth boasting about. However, the real issue isn¡¯t just his subpar imagination and visualization skills. The crux of the problem lies in his method of processing thoughts, which is primarily based on words and sentences rather than imagery and visuals. Yes, Seir¡¯s thoughts are structured in linguistic forms¡ªwords and sentences¡ªrather than vivid mental images or visualizations. In everyday life, this difference in thought processing might not matter much. While people who think in imagery may have a slight edge in speed and efficiency, it¡¯s not a significant concern. However, when it comes to invoking magic, the method of thought processing becomes critically important. Some might be wondering, ¡°Huh? What? Thoughts? Words? Imagery? What is this guy even talking about? Is he delusional? Isn¡¯t invoking magic as simple as imagining something and making it happen by consuming Demonic Power? So, why does the method of thought processing even matter?¡± Well, let¡¯s break it down with an example. Suppose someone wants to create a ball of water through magic. How would they go about producing such a supernatural phenomenon? They¡¯d imagine a ball of water in their mind and then use their Demonic Power to bring that vision to life in exchange for the magical effect. Simple enough, right? But while the process may seem straightforward, it raises an important question: how exactly does someone imagine? Or, to be more specific, ¡®how do they process their thoughts and imagination?¡¯ When imagining the formation of a ball of water, would they visualize the clear water in their surroundings coming together and gradually forming a ball? Or would they imagine the words: ¡®clear water from the surroundings gathering and slowly taking the form of a ball of water¡¯? It¡¯s similar to imagining a purple eggplant. Some people would picture the eggplant itself, vividly seeing its purple color and shape. Others, however, might instead think of the words: ¡®purple,¡¯ ¡®eggplant,¡¯ ¡®tear-shape,¡¯ and so on. People process their thoughts in various ways¡ªsome rely on words, others on imagery, sounds, or even numbers and patterns. The way thoughts are processed can greatly influence how they are understood. However, in this context, understanding the thoughts themselves isn¡¯t the focus, nor is it particularly important. What truly matters is that the imagination must be as clear and detailed as possible, with minimal distractions or ¡®noise.¡¯ Now, if clarity and detail are essential, wouldn¡¯t things become significantly more challenging for someone whose thoughts are primarily processed as words and sentences? After all, crafting a detailed and precise imagination in such a case might require anything from a paragraph to an entire novel just to describe something as seemingly simple as a ball of water. In contrast, someone who processes their thoughts through imagery and visualization can achieve a similar¡ªor even greater¡ªlevel of detail in a single vivid image. This makes the process far more efficient and less cumbersome for them. The key to using magic, as Seir understands it, lies in imagination. However, since Seir processes his thoughts in the form of words and sentences, this not only makes the process highly inefficient but also significantly more challenging for him. It has even led him to consider whether he should try to change the way he processes his thoughts altogether. Yes, Seir has entertained the idea of transitioning from processing his thoughts in words and sentences to using imagery and visuals instead. But is such a transformation as simple as deciding to make it happen? Definitely not! Completely altering one¡¯s method of thought processing is an incredibly difficult task, likely beyond what most people could hope to achieve in their lifetimes. It would require rewiring the brain itself and then consciously working to adopt an entirely different way of thinking¡ªan undertaking that is both daunting and uncertain. If Seir wanted to properly invoke magic, he needed to rewire his brain from processing thoughts in words and sentences to relying on imagery and visuals. But how does someone achieve such a monumental shift? How does one rewire their brain and fundamentally change the way they process thoughts? The only method Seir knew was to learn something new and practice it repeatedly until it became second nature. Learning a new skill¡ªlike a language, art, music, or even a programming language¡ªrequires time, effort, and practice. However, there was one glaring problem: Seir was a baby. A baby simply couldn¡¯t tackle such tasks, no matter how much they might want to. Faced with this limitation, Seir searched for alternatives. The best idea he could come up with was to focus on visualizing his imagination. Even though his natural thought process relied on words and sentences, if he consciously put effort into visualizing instead, maybe it would eventually become easier. He didn¡¯t know if this method would work, but it was his only option. More importantly, it gave him something to focus on. As a baby with little else to do, this approach not only filled his time but also helped stave off the boredom that came with his current reality. ¡®Yes, being a baby is incredibly boring¡ Having something to focus on is far better than having nothing at all, even if that something ultimately turns out to be a complete waste of time and effort.¡¯ With that thought, Seir decided to put the plan in motion. His plan was simple: focus intensely on imagining things¡ªbut not just imagining in the abstract. He needed to visualize his imagination in vivid, tangible detail. He needed to spend time and effort on his imagination. At first, the process was extremely challenging. Every time he attempted to imagine something, his mind instinctively reverted to words and sentences. It was frustrating, but Seir persisted. Over time, with patience and relentless effort¡ªlike a baby with plenty of time to explore and nothing else to do but eat, sleep, and stumble through small achievements¡ªhe began to make progress. Slowly but surely, his hard work paid off. While it wasn¡¯t easy, and his success rate was initially dismal, he eventually managed to produce successful visualizations in a handful of attempts, as long as he focused with unwavering determination. Why only one successful attempt out of every few instead of every time? Well, the issue wasn¡¯t just about his method of processing thoughts; it was also tied to his short attention span! As you might expect from someone who used to live on modern-day Earth with access to social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, Seir¡¯s attention span wasn¡¯t exactly impressive. Unless he was engaged in something logical, like solving a math or physics problem, conducting some experiment in the laboratory, or watching a straightforward, not-too-complex movie, maintaining focus was a challenge. So, having to continuously concentrate on something as abstract and illogical as imagination¡ªsomething that demanded extended focus on a vague concept¡ªwas an uphill battle for him. Sigh ¡®My attention span really isn¡¯t that great. No wonder I was never artistic or particularly creative...¡¯ The idea of casting magic was too fascinating for Seir to give up, so he persevered. After two months of continuous effort, he finally managed to create the small whirl of wind resembling a cyclone that he had been aiming for. To the maids, who are unaware of the effort put into the invocation of that small wind vortex, everything seemed effortless. However, only Seir truly understood the sheer amount of hard work and practice it had taken to pull off something as seemingly simple as this. But from the maids¡¯ perspective, the situation was entirely different. After all, the one casting magic was just a baby, only a few months old. Regardless of how much effort Seir had poured into it, to them, it was the miraculous feat of a talented newborn. A baby invoking magic¡ªa phenomenon so rare that they were already hailing him as a genius. The maids had heard stories of the extraordinary talent and genius displayed by the current Devil Kings during their early childhood. To them, Seir didn¡¯t seem any different with his ability to invoke magic despite being only a few months old baby. It was no surprise, then, that they began touting him as an exceptional prodigy. ¡®A genius, huh?¡¯ Seir thought. ¡®Am I, though?¡¯ As Seir was momentarily distracted, he sort of lost control over the amount of Demonic Energy being fed to the Magic Circle. As a result, a lot more demonic energy than he had intended to feed to the magic circle entered inside it, causing Seir to lose control over the magic circle, the cycle of wind to instantly expand, and surround the entire crib as well as the surroundings, lifting the crib and other furniture in the room into the air and move in circles along the winds. The furniture and crib moving along the wind collided with each other, cracking and breaking, which caused Seir to separate from the bed and revolve along the wind in circles. ¡°What? Lord Seir¡ stop¡ that¡¯s dangerous¡ you will get hurt!¡± Sheetal panicked and attempted to get closer but by that time, the wind speed was already quite strong and she was being pushed back. ¡°Waaaaa¡ Waaaaa¡ Waaaaa!¡± (What the heck is going on? Someone, please stop this!) Baby Seir screamed at the top of his tiny lungs as his little body spun helplessly in circles, caught up in the whirlwind he had created. Fuck, it only took a moment of distraction for the small whirlwind to turn into a disaster¡ªthings had spiraled out of control, and he had no idea how to stop it! Caught in the middle of this whirlwind disaster, it would be a lie to say Seir wasn¡¯t panicking a little¡ªokay, he was absolutely panicking and was on the verge of crying and begging for his pathetic baby life. But then it hit him¡ªwhat good would panicking do? If he didn¡¯t want to end up hurt or worse, he had to take control and do something about it himself! Spinning wildly along with the chaotic winds, he had no control over his tiny body and feared crashing into the furniture and glass swirling dangerously around him. It was hard to think straight with everything happening at once, but one thing was clear: the situation had completely spiraled out of control, and he needed to stop it somehow. Gritting his metaphorical teeth, he focused and tried to dissipate the storm he had unintentionally unleashed. Seeing Sheetal being pushed back, Agni stepped forward as an orange aura appeared around her, and the temperature in the room started to rise, she was about to summon fire, but before she could, Sheetal put her hand on the shoulder and stopped her, ¡°Have you lost your mind, bimbo? If you use fire, the wind will fan the flames, turning this wind tornado into a fire tornado, and something like will instantly burn Lord Seir into ashes!¡± ¡°Right¡ I¡ I forgot¡ but do something¡ at this rate¡¡± spoke Agni in panic and worry as the orange aura around her disappeared and the surrounding temperature returned back to normal. ¡°I will freeze the room¡¡± nodded Sheetal as an icy-blue aura appeared around Sheetal and the temperature in the surroundings started to decrease. ¡®Stop!¡¯ screamed Seir internally as he stopped feeding demonic power to the magic circle. The sudden cut in the supply of demonic energy caused the magic circle to dissipate along with the cycle of wind. The sudden disappearance of the magic circle as well as the winds caused Sheetal to stop from covering the entire room in her ice, and she sighed, ¡°Thankfully¡¡± But before she could breathe a sigh of relief, there was already the next problem before her, and it was the fact that Seir had started to fall! The height of the ceiling of his room was about ten meters or something, and he was falling from a height of about eight meters or something. If he were to fall on the floor from such a height, best case he would survive with some sort of disability, and worst case he would die. He had just managed to barely save his life from the tornado, and now he was going to die from a fall. Talk about bad luck! ¡®Fuck, I don¡¯t want to die this early!¡¯ thought Seir as he saw the approaching surface with his eyes in panic and shut them tightly in fear of death. Seeing Seir about to fall, Agni shouted, ¡°Don¡¯t worry¡ I got him!¡± and leaped forward to catch him midway through the falls. Sheetal did not give a reply, but she made sure to create ice constructs to take care of the furniture and other things that might become an obstacle for Agni. The cooperation between the two sisters was exceptional as without any problem, Agni managed to save Seir and safely landed back on her feet while carrying him in her arms, but their breaths were still not relieved as Sheetal and the other maids quickly approached Agni and Seir to make sure there are no injuries on his body. Only after Sheetal was absolutely certain she spoke, ¡°It¡¯s alright, there are no injuries, Lord Seir is perfectly safe¡ This must be the result of inheriting Lord Malakarion¡¯s extremely sturdy physique and the clothes he is wearing. I think Lord Seir¡¯s clothes were personally enchanted by Lady Sephie. Thank full, our Lady had done that! Otherwise, I can¡¯t imagine what would have happened¡¡± Everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief, ¡°Thanks, Maou¡ nothing happened to Lord Seir¡¡± Just as everyone was relieved, suddenly, a voice came from the door, ¡°What is happening here?¡± Hearing the voice, Agni, Sheetal, and other maids quickly turned around and noticed Mal, Sephie, Cecily, and ¨¦lise. Immediately all the maids became nervous and tried to explain, ¡°That¡ Lord Mal¡¡± ¡®I am sorry Sheetal, Agni¡ and you guys¡¡¯ The maids watching over him were in for some serious scolding, and Seir felt a little sorry for them since they weren¡¯t really at fault. Chapter – 3 So, I’m a cute Demon with bat wings, so what? A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld Agni: ¡°Lord Seir¡ please stop¡ at this rate, you will hurt yourself!¡± Sheetal: ¡°Lord Seir¡! He¡ he is not stopping at all!¡± It wasn¡¯t just Agni and Sheetal screaming nervously, a few other maids were also very worried as they chased after their young Lord. Considering the incident that occurred last month, they were all the more nervous and fearful. Getting scolded or getting punished is another thing, they would still be fine with that, but they did not want, for the love of Maou, for their young Lord to get hurt because of recklessness. However, one thing peculiar was that they weren¡¯t looking at the floor as they chased after him in order to stop him lest he hurt himself, rather, their eyes were focused toward the ceilings of the corridors as they ran and ran and ran. Regardless of whether the maids were looking at the floor or the ceiling, Seir did not care about them at all as he was busy giggling and laughing in exhilaration, ¡°Ahahahaa¡¡¡± while flying through the passages of the castle with his little bat-like wings. ¡®Just as I had thought, flying is so much fun¡¡¯ . . ¡®Has anyone ever wondered what is it like to have the ability to fly and soar through the skies?¡¯ While each individual may have his or her own distinct answer to the question, perhaps only birds can give the most accurate answers, unfortunately, birds don¡¯t speak the human language so communication is not possible, and since humans are incapable of free flight, they cannot give an accurate answer either. Philosophically speaking, the desire to break the chains of gravity and freely soar through the skies is something deeply rooted in a human¡¯s psyche. At its core, humanity¡¯s desire for flight represents their innate yearning for freedom and transcendence. After all, flying symbolizes liberation from the constraints that life, work, economics, society, morality, relationships et cetera imposes on a person. People when they are overwhelmed by constraints often want to break free of said constraints and spread their wings above the clouds. Of course, that is only philosophical, in reality, if someone wishes to spread their wings, all they can do is try out new things or go on a trip for a change of pace, they cannot and will probably never be able to freely soar the skies like a bird, or wait¡ maybe they can try using gliders, parachutes, and wingsuits to experience what it¡¯s like to fly¡ but that¡¯s not true flight, it¡¯s assisted flight and that¡¯s not true freedom. For argument¡¯s sake, they would be ignored. Getting back on the topic, even if it is virtually impossible for a human to fly, even if a human can never understand or experience the feelings of a bird as it spreads its wings and freely soars through the skies, that doesn¡¯t stop humans from yearning for it. ¡®I guess that¡¯s human nature, they yearn for things that they do not or cannot have, yet they do not care about the things that they already have¡¡¯ Every human being, save for the ones who suffer from Acrophobia would want to soar through the skies, probably, and Seir is certainly not any different, back in his previous life, he too had a yearning for the skies even if he knew that he could never get there. But then something absolutely absurd happened in his life, or maybe re-life (?), and suddenly every impossibility became a possibility. Imagine being a terrestrial (land-based organism) for nearly two decades of your life, and being incapable of flight or any other aerial movement except for maybe being able to jump half a meter into the air, then suddenly, you get reborn into a different world that has magic and mystic, then a few months later you suddenly discover you have a pair of wings on your back, what would you feel? How would you react? What would you do? Normally, a person experiencing something so otherworldly might freaked out, or maybe not, maybe they would be exhilarated more than anything, and that¡¯s exactly what happened with Seir. Considering that he had already experienced something as absurd as rebirth with memories retained, and also discovered the existence of magic soon after getting reincarnated, he was more susceptible to accepting the sudden revelation. How did he react? Yes, he was stunned and scared for a moment in fear of falling and hurting himself, but he quickly overcame the shock and fear once he noticed that he wasn¡¯t falling. Instead, he was frozen in a single place in mid-air as the sound of something flapping reached his ears, which made him turn his head and look at the cause of such absurdity, and that¡¯s it. Once he discovered that he had grown a pair of wings in a matter of milliseconds, he was on to the next thing, which was to try and flap them. Of course, one thing he found strange was that his wings were not feathery like that of a bird but bat-like, which did make him all the more certain of his race. ¡®Yes, I am most definitely a demon or something!¡¯ ¡®Though to be honest, for someone who belongs to the darkness, is it really okay for me to be this cute¡¡¯ mused Seir as he stopped for a moment to look at his reflection in the window glass. This is the first time he has seen his appearance since he was reborn, and he had to say that he does look very cute with white hair, red eyes, a pair of red horns, and a small tail dangling behind him, same as his father, along with fair white skin and white sclera same as mother, and finally, a pair of pointed ears that are same as his elder sister. Based on his standard of beauty, and taking into account the kind of people he is surrounded with in his second life, he would definitely consider himself to be very cute, no perhaps the cutest baby ever. ¡®With this kind of appearance, and taking into account my attitude, I will probably become a narcissist¡¡¯ chuckled Seir. Truth be told, he didn¡¯t mind turning into a narcissist, on the contrary, he might actually enjoy it, ¡®If I have indeed become a creature of darkness as I think I might have, it is no surprise, I suppose¡ This is perhaps the natural result based on the kind of personality I have¡¡¯ With such a thought in his mind, he shook his head and dodged Agni coming to catch him, then he looked at her with a sly grin for a moment and flew away laughing. ¡°Unholy shit, Lord Seir is really enjoying making all of us chase after him!¡± groaned Agni in frustration. Sheetal immediately jabbed Agni, ¡°Watch your language Agni¡ we don¡¯t want Lord Seir to learn such words¡¡± ¡°Uhh¡ but¡ sigh¡¡± Agni could only sigh in defeat. If Cecily were to learn that she used such language in front of Seir, she would be punished severely. Unaware of Agni¡¯s helpless state, Seir continued to fly through the corridors of the castle, laughing and startling the maids that he would encounter on his way. ¡°Wait¡ Lord Seir!!!¡± So, how did things turn out this way? Well, for that we would have to turn the Clock back a few minutes. . . Flashback: Start Sitting inside the baby crib, Seir tried to use Wind Magic to create strong winds that would definitely make people wonder if he was insane or what. Despite the accident last month, he hadn¡¯t learned his lesson, and this time, he wanted to do something more dangerous, that is, to lift the entire Crib into the air and make it float around in the castle. Why was he being so reckless? It¡¯s because he is bored, so incredibly bored that he can¡¯t help but want to do something, even if that something might be a bit dangerous. As a former human from the twenty-first century, Seir has been used to doing something or the other almost all the time unless he is sleeping or lying down on his bed daydreaming. Even if that¡¯s just wasting time on YouTube watching nonsensical and pointless videos or reading another generic Isekai manga, it is still some stuff that he would do. But ever since he became a newborn baby, all he ever does is suck on woman¡¯s tits for milk, pee, poop, sleep when is get exhausted, and does awawawaa stuff¡ he wants to do something else as well, he wants to use Magic! If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. And he did! Ignoring the maids watching over him, Seir created strong winds in his room just like he happened to do accidentally a month ago, immediately the maids panicked and got into action to stop him. But he had no plans to stop and fed more demonic power to the magic circle further increasing the Wind speed. ¡®Why is it not lifting up into the air?¡¯ thought Seir doubtfully as he noticed the crib not moving at all, he tried to figure out the reason and noticed ¡®Solid Ice?¡¯ encasing the legs of the crib, making it impossible for it to get carried away by the wind. Figuring out the reason, he looked toward the source of the problem, ¡®Sheetal?¡¯ The maid in question passed him a knowing smile, which made Seir grit his milk teeth, ¡®I¡¯ll get you for this someday!¡¯ But he can¡¯t do anything to Sheetal at the moment, so he decides to use another approach, and that is to create a circle of Wind around himself. If he can¡¯t lift up the baby Crib because of Sheetal¡¯s ice, then he would lift himself up. ¡®Humph! You think you are too smart, huh? Well, let¡¯s see what you will do about this!¡¯ There¡¯s just no way Sheetal would dare to encase him in ice! Yes, this might be a bit too dangerous and a foolish thing to do as the winds might just tear him apart or he might end up injuring himself, but is he going to stop? Fuck no! Besides, Seir has come to the realization that as a demonic being, his physique seems to be extraordinarily sturdy, and on top of that, he is wearing magically enchanted baby clothes, so he won¡¯t be getting injured that easily. With that in mind, Seir decided to take action. Before Sheetal or any other maid could react, a magic circle suddenly appeared underneath his butt, and from that a sudden burst of cyclic wind came out lifting him above the baby crib and pushing him toward the ceiling, ¡®Nice¡¡¯ Seeing him rise the smile on Sheetal¡¯s face froze, ¡°Wait¡ Lord Seir¡ you might¡¡± Agni hurried forward to catch him, ¡°I¡¯ve got him!¡± ¡®No, you don¡¯t!¡¯ In order to escape Agni¡¯s hands, Seir increased the output from the Magic Circle and was pushed toward the ceiling at a faster speed. ¡°Wait Lord Seir, at this rate you would crash into the ceiling!¡± Sheetal shouted, and yes she was right¡ Seir was indeed about to crash into the ceiling which caused him to cut the demonic power supply to the magic circle. With the magic circle gone, the winds pushing him above also disappeared and he started to fall back to the ground with Agni already ready to catch him. ¡®Don¡¯t wanna, don¡¯t wanna, don¡¯t wanna!¡¯ thought Seir as he racked his undeveloped brain into thinking of a way to remain afloat and not fall back into Agni¡¯s embrace. Just as he had such a thought, suddenly, he stopped falling, ¡®Huh?¡± Confused, Seir looked around, ¡®What happened?¡¯ It wasn¡¯t until he got a weird feeling, a feeling he had never experienced before in either of his life, that he looked back and saw a pair of cute little bat-like wings sprouting from his back, flapping, that he realized what actually happened. Seir was shocked, ¡®What the hell? Wings? In addition to a tail and a pair of horns, do I have wings too?¡¯ He had never imagined that he would one day sprout a pair of wings, but then again, he had never imagined getting reborn and having the ability to perform magic, so a pair of wings is not that big of a surprise, but still, wings? ¡®But well¡ who cares? Rather, it¡¯s great that I have a pair of wings, as it¡¯s the exact thing I need to save myself! For now¡ I need to use them!¡¯ with such a thought, Seir imagined flapping his little bat-like wings, and surprisingly it was very easy, it was very natural, he did not have to put in any extra effort; it was like moving an arm or leg, and the wings started flapping, carrying him forward. The maids in the room were surprised to see their four-month-old young Lord sprouting his wings and using them to fly around the room while laughing excitedly. They did not immediately go forward to catch him. Instead, they allowed him to fly as he wanted. For them, the flight is as important of an event as crawling for a newborn baby. In fact, Sheetal even went as far as to contact Sephie and Mal through a magic circle to inform them that Seir has sprouted his wings and has started to fly. Unaware of Sheetal¡¯s little actions, Seir thought to himself while moving in circles, ¡®It feels amazing!¡¯ Suddenly, the gate of his room opened as ¨¦lise walked in, this did not go unnoticed by Seir as he grinned to himself. ¡°Agni, Sheetal, it¡¯s time for Lord Seir¡¯s fo¨C kya!!!¡± Before ¨¦lise could complete her sentence, the figure of Seir moved past her and disappeared from the room. ¡°L¡ Lord Seir?! Was that him?¡± she asked the other maids. Agni, Sheetal, and the other maids looked at each then suddenly, they panicked, ¡°Chase after him!¡± ¡®Okay¡ things did not go the way I wanted¡ but¡!¡¯ Seir smiled to himself as he flew through the corridors of the castles while startling and being chased by the maids. ¡®A demon with bat wings, huh? This is fucking awesome¡¡¯ Flashback: End . . Normally, creatures of darkness are said to be ugly & gory, with scaly skin and weird protrusions and horns on their body. Orcs, Ghouls, Goblins, Cyclops, Ogres, Zombies, Undead, Arcane, Oni, and so on¡ all these creatures are described as ugly in literature with inhuman characteristics and bodies, but none of the people around him resemble the creatures of darkness he had read about in his previous life. On the contrary, almost everyone in the castle is as beautiful as the most beautiful man and woman in the world from his previous life. Meanwhile, people like Sephie, Roygun, and Cecily have an otherworldly beauty that perhaps only the goddess of beauty can match, which is kind of strange considering that everyone here is a creature of darkness. In fact, even Malakarion, despite being a man with devilish red skin that would scare the shit out of a normal human as they would find him to be a super scary monster, is actually incredibly handsome if you look carefully. Those facial features, in conjunction with his red skin, crimson horns, white hair, red eyes, and Black Sclera, give Mal a unique devilish charm that one can¡¯t expect from a human. ¡®Are creatures of darkness really supposed to be this beautiful?¡¯ Don¡¯t take it the wrong way. Seir wasn¡¯t complaining about having such otherworldly beautiful looks, but he still had to wonder if this was really all right. But then again, not all creatures of darkness are supposedly ugly; there are always a few exceptions, for instance, Vampires who are said to be very beautiful and attractive. But Seir is quite certain that neither he, nor anyone around him is a Vampire, after all, none of them have the trademark pale white skin and cold body temperature as that of a typical Vampire in the literature, nor do they seem to have Vampires¡¯ fangs that they use to drink blood. He too hasn¡¯t felt any urge to drink anything but breast milk from the moment he was born, as such, Seir is quite certain he is definitely not a Vampire. Or is that that the Vampires of this world are different and instead of having a thirst for blood, they have a thirst for breast milk? ¡®If Dracula and Carmilla were to hear my thoughts, they might end up rolling in their graves¡¡¯ Chuckled Seir. On a more serious note, unless Seir¡¯s weird thoughts are indeed a reality, neither he nor the people around him are vampires, which leads him to the other possibility, ¡®Maybe we are succubus and Incubus or something¡ that would at least explain why I like to suck on those damn titties so much¡¡¯ Succubus and Incubus are often described as men and women with very beautiful appearances, often with wings, horns, and demonic aura. These characteristics seem to match those of the people of the Castle. ¡®But then again, I have always been a horny individual, even in my past life, if I had a chance, I would have been the same¡ so maybe we are not Succubus and Incubus¡ but, another type of demonic creature or something¡ Demonic creatures that differ from most European literature and are naturally very beautiful.¡¯ While having such thoughts, Seir reached the end of the corridor, and just as he turned left, his vision was darkened as his face was buried inside the valley between a pair of fleshy mounds, ¡®Arghh¡¡¯ Seir tried to turn around and fly away, but a pair hands firmly held him, preventing him from flying away. ¡®Oh¡ no¡¡¯ Seir perfectly knew the owner of the pair of hands. She has held him so many times in the past four months that he can never forget the warmth, it was his dear mother, Sephie. Sephie lifted him and spoke, ¡°Seir dear¡¡± ¡®Am I in trouble?¡¯ thought Seir as he stared at Sephie. It was difficult to read her mood which made him smile cheekily. He knew that he needed to do something that would divert her attention from whatever she was about to do, so he attempted to speak, ¡°Mommy¡¡± and unexpectedly succeeded. ¡°!!!¡± Sephie¡¯s eyes widened as she stared at Seir in surprise. Her mind went blank for a moment and she kept looking at him. ¡°Sephie¡ Seir¡¡± At this time, Mal also arrived at the place along with a few maids and looked at the duo of mother and son staring at each other unblinkingly. He was confused as to why Sephie was frozen in place. Doubtful Mal approached his wife, and after putting his hand on her shoulder, he questioned, ¡°Sephie¡ is everything okay?¡± Mal¡¯s question woke up Sephie from shock. She did not pay any attention to him. Instead, she looked at Seir and spoke, ¡°Baby¡ one more time¡ just one more time¡¡± Mal was a bit confused by Sephie¡¯s words, ¡°What happened? Is Seir okay?¡± Sephie hurriedly responded, ¡°Ye¡ yes¡ our baby is perfectly fine¡ in fact, he¡ he just spoke his first words¡ he called me mommy!¡± ¡°What? Really? Seir spoke his first word?¡± Mal was also surprised and looked at Seir, ¡°Seir, can you¡ can you speak once again¡? Also, can you speak Daddy after you speak Mommy¡?¡± Feeling the expectant gaze of both Sephie and Mal, ¡®No other option, can¡¯t disappoint them¡¡¯ Seir had no other choice but to respond to his parent¡¯s request. While looking at Sephie he spoke, ¡°Mommy¡¡± then turned toward Mal and called out, ¡°Daddy¡¡± ¡°See? He did¡ Seir called me Mommy!¡± Sephie exclaimed with an excited smile and embraced her son closely. ¡°Yes, he did, and he called me Daddy!¡± nodded Mal with the same excitement as he hugged his wife and son. Hugged by Sephie and Mal, Seir thought, ¡®I guess, this is also fine¡¡¯ The maids watched the heartfelt moment from a distance, some of them, including Agni and ¨¦lise got very emotional and shed a few tears for their Lord, Lady, and young Lord. Cecily smiled and captured the heartfelt moment with a camera. Chapter – 4 Language & the Desire to learn to read! A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld Have you ever thought about what it¡¯s like to truly understand the world around you, not just through your senses, but through words? While each person may have their own interpretation of this question, the true answer may lie beyond the limits of human perception. After all, words are merely symbols we¡¯ve assigned meaning to, but can they ever truly encapsulate the essence of the world? Can a single word, no matter how carefully chosen, fully express what it feels like to exist, to be aware, to live? Philosophically speaking, the desire to master language is more than just the need to communicate. At its core, language represents humanity¡¯s yearning to understand, to capture the complexity of existence, and to grasp the fleeting thoughts, emotions, and sensations that make up a life. Words are the bridges between the inner and outer worlds¡ªbetween thought and reality. But even as people pour their hearts into words, no single language, no matter how complex, can ever truly convey the depth of a human¡¯s experience. Therein lies the paradox: We depend on language to give shape to our reality, but the very tool we use to define the world often falls short. Yet, this doesn¡¯t stop us from trying. Humans, in their insatiable desire to understand the universe, continue to twist and shape their languages, constantly inventing new ways to describe the indescribable. It¡¯s almost like a futile attempt to tame the chaos, to somehow impose order on the infinite unknown. But what happens when a being is born into a world of language, into a world where words have power and meaning, yet they are still too young to understand their full weight? Does the infant grasp the world through sounds, through the rhythm of speech, before they even know what the words mean? Perhaps. Maybe it¡¯s not so much about understanding at first, but simply about feeling the weight of language¡ªhearing it, sensing it, before one can truly use it to shape the world around them. Seir''s experience with language was almost as extraordinary as his rebirth. For reasons he couldn¡¯t explain, moments after his birth, he found himself able to understand the flow of conversations around him and grasp the meaning of every word spoken. Even the name his father, Malakarion, had bestowed upon him¡ªSeirios Vandegor Belphegor¡ªregistered clearly in his mind as his father spoke it for the first time. Though newborn Seir couldn¡¯t properly see his father, he could hear him distinctly. When his elder sister uttered, ¡®He... he is... my younger brother...¡¯ those words, though foreign and spoken in an unknown language, made perfect sense to him. The words his mother had spoken, ¡®His eyes, hair, and tail are just like yours, Mal...¡¯ resonated clearly with Seir. From the moment of his birth, he had been able to understand the meaning of the words spoken by those around him even if he didn¡¯t exactly understand their language. Each day, as he listened to Sephie, Mal, Roygun, or the maids Cecily, ¨¦lise, Agni, and Sheetal talk in different languages, and each time, even if he didn¡¯t recognize their language, he still understood their meaning in the language he speaks. This oddity has been incredibly weird and made him wonder, ¡®How am I able to understand what they''re saying even though I don¡¯t know their language?¡¯ While this ability to understand the language spoken by people around him was undeniably convenient, as it allowed him to understand the world around him and grasp his situation to a certain extent, a doubt kept nagging him, ¡®Why? Why exactly?¡¯ ¡®Was it some sort of blessing from an unknown God before reincarnation into another world? But a child of the Demon tribe getting blessed by some God? Sounds too good to be true¡ There has to be some other reason.¡¯ It would have made sense if everyone around him spoke English or his native language from his past life. In that case, everything would have been straightforward, and he¡¯d have no reason to question it. After all, he had prior experience learning and using those languages. He could read, write, understand, and speak both fairly well. He might not have been the best at them, but he was competent enough to make sense of most conversations. But here was the problem¡ªnone of the people around him were speaking English or his native tongue. Neither his parents, his elder sister, nor the other maids in the castle were speaking in any language Seir was familiar with from his past life. Instead, they spoke in a variety of languages he was completely unfamiliar with¡ªone of which, spoken particularly by his parents and elder sister, sounded somewhat ominous, which made sense given they were demons or something similar. What baffled Seir was the fact that, despite not being familiar with any of these languages, he could understand the meaning behind words and sentences effortlessly from the moment he was born. Yes, he hadn¡¯t spent a single ounce of effort learning or mastering it, yet the meaning of their words came to him as naturally as if he¡¯d known it all along. It wasn¡¯t just about understanding the language¡ªSeir could also speak it effortlessly. ¡®Or perhaps it¡¯s more accurate to say that instead of actually understanding and speaking their languages, I somehow grasp the meaning of their words and sentences directly in the language I¡¯m familiar with. Likewise, they seem to understand me in their own language¡ªprobably.¡¯ However, to be more precise, the words spoken by those around him in foreign languages seemed to register in his mind as if they were spoken in his native tongue. ¡®But even that isn¡¯t the most precise way to explain it... A better way to describe this would be... would be... ahh, it¡¯s so hard to put this bizarre phenomenon into words!¡¯ ¡®What do they even call this phenomenon? Automatic mental language translation or something?¡¯ Of course, actually speaking, in any language for that matter, was a bit challenging, as his vocal cords were still immature and underdeveloped due to his infancy, so whatever he spoke actually probably sounded like how an average baby would sound. Nevertheless, he could string words together. While his attempts didn¡¯t always sound clear to the ears and required the listener¡¯s special attention, it was unmistakable that he was communicating with those around him. For months, Seir pondered why he could understand their language and why they could understand his language without any effort. Eventually, the only conclusion he could come to was: ¡®It¡¯s probably some kind of magic or something...¡¯ Yes, magic seemed to be the most logical explanation. Nothing else made sense, especially since he hadn¡¯t actually learned the language himself. Upon coming to terms with the fact that he could perfectly communicate with the people around him without the problem of language barrier, Seir began to wonder, ¡®Can this Automatic mental language translation also work on the reading and writing aspects?¡¯ Reading and writing a language are entirely different skills from understanding and speaking it. To speak and comprehend a language, all that¡¯s needed is the ability to grasp its meaning and speak out similar words. However, reading and writing take it a step further by linking spoken words and sounds to specific symbols or characters on a page. Without knowing which character or symbol represents what particular sound, word, or consonant, it becomes impossible to read or write the language effectively. Speaking from a logical perspective, Seir¡ªbeing completely unfamiliar with the different languages of the people around him¡ªshouldn''t be able to read anything written in it. However, given the bizarre nature of his circumstances and the fact that magic often defies conventional logic, Seir decided to test the boundaries of this strange phenomenon. He was curious to see if his automatic mental language translation ability extended to reading an unfamiliar language as well. To satisfy his curiosity, all he needed to do was attempt to read some text written in an unfamiliar language and see if he could understand it. So, he gave it a try¡ªand the result? Failure. Yes, he completely failed to read even a single character. Despite his seemingly magical ability to communicate with the people around him from birth, Seir found himself unable to decipher their texts. The characters on the page made no sense to him. He obviously couldn¡¯t comprehend them as it is, nor did those characters appear to him in the language he is familiar with, as was the case when spoken. To him, they appeared as nothing more than intricate squiggles, and the mere sight of them left him with a throbbing headache and a growing sense of anxiety. Since Seir couldn¡¯t magically read or write the language of this world, he decided to learn it the traditional way¡ªmanually. He figured that, eventually, he would need to know how to read and write as he grew older, so why not start now? Being a baby with nothing better to do except get bored, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get a head start. Besides, how hard could it be, right? Well¡ before Seir could even figure out how difficult actually learning the language might be, another problem¡ªor rather two problems¡ªstood in his way. ¡®Sigh, why can¡¯t these two just get along for once?¡¯ thought Seir, glancing up to see Agni and Sheetal bickering like cats ready to claw each other. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡°I said¡ I¡¯ll do it!¡± Agni snapped. ¡°Shut it, you stupid bimbo!¡± Sheetal shot back, arms crossed and scowling. ¡°There¡¯s no way your pea-sized brain can handle helping Lord Seir in this matter! All you¡¯ve got going for you are those oversized breasts and your idiotic bimboness! You obviously don¡¯t have the brains for the job. Can you even read and write this script? Someone better suited for this task is obviously me. Got it? So, get lost already!¡± ¡°No, you¡¯re not!¡± Agni retorted, glaring furiously. ¡°And yes, I can read them just fine¡ I mean, I get it that I am not particularly fluent, and I have to think a lot to recognize the characters, but who cares? Lord Seir is a baby; he won¡¯t be going that far ahead anyway at the start. So, I don¡¯t care what you say! I¡¯m the one to whom Lord Seir asked for help, and I am the one who brought over these books, so it¡¯s my job, you cold-hearted bitch!¡± ¡°Haah¡ what did you just call me, you cow?¡± Sheetal growled, her voice icy. ¡°Exactly what you heard, you flatboard!¡± snapped Agni, her tone brimming with defiance. Yes, the two main obstacles standing in the way of Seir¡¯s efforts to learn how to read and write are none other than the twin maids, Sheetal and Agni. In his attempt to get some help with his learning, Seir had asked Agni and Sheetal to assist him. After all, he needed someone to teach him. Only after someone helps him associate each character with a word or sound would he be able to learn how to read and write the language spoken by the people around him. Since Agni and Sheetal were around him most of the time, he had decided to enlist their help. However, all they were doing was bickering with each other, driving him insane. ¡®These two are useless¡ It might be better to go out and find someone else who can actually help,¡¯ Seir thought to himself. With that, he picked up the two books lying on the bed and decided to walk out of the room. Yes, as surprising as it may seem, despite being only seven months old, Seir had enough physical strength to effortlessly lift books much bigger than him. But then again, given all the feats Seir had already accomplished, it wasn¡¯t entirely surprising that he could do this as well. Anyway, with the books in hand, Seir unfurled his bat wings and soared out of the room, determined to find someone more helpful. Naturally, Seir leaving the room with books in hand didn¡¯t go unnoticed by the two maids. "Lord Seir... ah... he''s going out with the books..." Seeing him leave, Agni and Sheetal stopped bickering and quickly chased after him. "Wait, Lord Seir..." "Lord Seir, don''t go..." "Annoying..." Seir muttered coldly, speeding up and refusing to stop as he exited the room. . . Seir flew through the corridors, searching for someone who could help him, but the twin maids were still hot on his heels. ¡®Ugh... why won¡¯t they just give up?¡¯ Seir thought, feeling annoyed as he sensed them closing in. He quickly hid behind a suit of armor. Agni and Sheetal, not noticing his hiding spot, continued their chase, calling out for him. "Lord Seir... where did you go?" "Lord Seir..." "This is all your fault. If you hadn¡¯t interfered, Lord Seir wouldn¡¯t have gotten annoyed and left the room..." "Haah... you want to blame me? Did you forget it was all because of you?" After the twin maids passed by the armor without noticing him, Seir emerged from his hiding spot and watched them with a helpless expression. ¡®Even now, they¡¯re still fighting... these two are really useless.¡¯ While he understood that they were competing for his attention and trying to prove who could be more helpful, it was incredibly annoying to deal with their constant bickering. ¡®Well, who cares? I¡¯ll probably find someone else to be my personal maid in the future,¡¯ Seir thought to himself. ¡®For now, I¡¯ll just forget about them and focus on finding someone who can actually help me¡¡¯ With that in mind, he turned around and decided to look for someone more capable, like Cecily or ¨¦lise¡ or even better, his mother, Sephie. ¡®Now, where could they be¡¡¯ He wondered as he absentmindedly flew down the corridor. When he reached a turn, he didn¡¯t notice someone coming around the corner from the opposite direction and ended up colliding headfirst into a pair of breasts, surprising both the woman and the maid walking behind her. The books in his hands slipped from his grip, hitting the floor with a dull thud. ¡°Ugh¡ mmffsshhs¡¡± Seir tried to speak, but with his head buried in her cleavage, his words came out muffled and incoherent. ¡°Hm? Seir? What are you doing here?¡± A familiar voice reached his ears as the woman helped lift him out of her cleavage, holding him gently with both hands. Seir looked up and realized that the hands holding him belonged to none other than the cherry-blossom-haired princess, who also had a pair of horns on her head. She smiled warmly at him and teasingly asked, ¡°Did you miss your older sister so much that you came flying into my embrace as soon as you sensed me? Hmm? Seir?¡± ¡°Roygun?¡± Seir mumbled, taking a deep breath. Yes, it was his older sister, Roygun. At that moment, the maid who was accompanying Roygun bent down to pick up the books Seir had dropped when he collided headfirst into Roygun¡¯s funbags. She flipped through them and said, ¡°Mistress, the young master dropped these a moment ago.¡± ¡°Oh? Books?¡± Roygun said, raising an eyebrow in surprise before turning to Seir and questioning, ¡°What were you doing here with these books?¡± ¡°Read¡¡± answered Seir lightly. ¡°Read?¡± not only Roygun but the maid was also surprised. Roygun asked, ¡°Seir, are you already capable of reading??¡± Considering how incredibly talented Seir is, Roygun wouldn¡¯t even be surprised if he could already read. Though she would feel proud of him, she would also feel a tinge of sadness for having missed yet another important moment in her little brother¡¯s life. Yes, Roygun felt deeply regretful for not being there when Seir first used magic, sprouted his wings for his first flight, or spoke his first words. So, when she posed the question to her little brother, she secretly hoped he hadn¡¯t already learned how to read. Unaware of Roygun¡¯s little thoughts, Seir shook his head, ¡°No¡ can¡¯t. Need help.¡± ¡°I see¡¡± nodded Roygun, understanding what Seir was saying. Internally, she felt a deep sense of happiness and relief for not missing this important moment in her little brother¡¯s life and asked him, ¡°So I take it that you wanted to read these books, but since you can¡¯t, you were searching for someone to help you out?¡± ¡°Yes,¡± nodded Seir. Upon hearing Seir¡¯s response, the maid couldn¡¯t help but muse to herself, ¡®Isn¡¯t the young master a bit too young to be learning how to read? Or could it be that he just wants someone to read him stories?¡¯ She glanced at the books again and frowned. ¡®No¡ these books are clearly meant for teaching a baby how to read. If that¡¯s truly the case, and the young master actually wants to learn to read¡ this is incredible. The young master is already capable of speaking fluently at just seven months old, and he can even consciously use magic, and now he wants to read. This isn¡¯t just remarkable¡ªit¡¯s a whole other level of genius. I can¡¯t imagine anyone in the Underworld attempting to learn how to read at such a young age. Perhaps the current Beelzebub? Yes, if it¡¯s him, it¡¯s possible¡ but anyone else? I highly doubt it.¡¯ In her view, not even the current Maou Lucifer could match Seir''s level of genius. While it¡¯s true that Lucifer is as powerful as Maou Beelzebub¡ªperhaps even stronger¡ªhis strength lies primarily in his raw destructive power. When it comes to intelligence, Lucifer pales in comparison to Beelzebub, who is renowned for his unparalleled intelligence. The brilliance and intellect Seir is demonstrating at such a young age could possibly rival, if not surpass, the genius of Beelzebub. In fact, she believed that in the entire history of their race, only the current Maou Beelzebub might compare to the exceptional intellect Seir displayed! ¡°As I thought¡¡± mumbled Roygun thoughtfully. Her thoughts were quite similar to that of her maid. Though she was confused over something and asked him, ¡°But¡ what about the maids that attend to you? Did you not ask them? If you had told them of your intentions, I am certain they would have¡¡± Seir sighed, ¡°Agni, Sheetal, fighting¡¡± and added with a pout, ¡°Annoying¡ Need quiet¡¡± As soon as Seir responded to Roygun, the bickering twin sisters who had passed by earlier returned. ¡°Ah, Lord Seir! We¡¯ve been searching for you everywhere!¡± one exclaimed. ¡°Thank Maou, we finally found you,¡± the other chimed in, relieved. Then, noticing Roygun, they quickly added, ¡°Ah¡ Lady Belphegor, good evening!¡± ¡°Good evening, Lady Belphegor,¡± they said in unison, bowing slightly. Roygun nodded gracefully in acknowledgment, replying, ¡°Good evening to you both.¡± The two maids then turned their attention to Roygun''s companion. ¡°Good evening, Miss Lucia,¡± they said politely. The maid Lucia gave a subtle nod in acknowledgment, remaining silent. Agni and Sheetal quickly shifted their focus back to Seir, their competitive nature reigniting. ¡°Lord Seir, shall we return to your room and start your lessons? I¡¯ll help you and teach you everything you need to know,¡± Sheetal offered eagerly. ¡°Hey! What are you saying? I¡¯m the one who¡¯s going to teach Lord Seir!¡± Agni interrupted, her voice filled with indignation. ¡°What are you talking about?¡± Sheetal snapped. ¡°With that pea brain of yours, all you¡¯ll teach Lord Seir is how to be a bimbo, and nobody wants that!¡± ¡°The hell did you just say?!¡± Agni shot back, her frustration boiling over. Seir let out a deep sigh, his expression showing clear exasperation. ¡°Sigh¡ started again¡¡± Roygun glanced at him and nodded in understanding. ¡°I see what you mean¡¡± she murmured, fully grasping the source of his irritation. Lucia, standing beside Roygun, also understood the situation. Without hesitation, she stepped forward and addressed the two maids in a sharp, cold tone. ¡°Silence, both of you! Do you not see that your incessant arguing is troubling the young master, and both of you are being highly disrespectful towards my Mistress?¡± Agni and Sheetal froze, startled by Lucia¡¯s harsh reprimand. ¡°Dis¡ Disrespecting Lady Belphegor?¡± stammered Agni. ¡°Troubling Lord Seir?¡± added Sheetal, looking genuinely confused. They turned their eyes to Seir, hoping he would deny the accusation, but he simply snorted and looked away. ¡°Humph, annoying!¡± he muttered, leaving no room for doubt. The two maids paled, their expressions filled with guilt and fear. At this point, Roygun addressed Lucia calmly. ¡°I¡¯ll leave these two in your hands.¡± Lucia gave a firm nod. ¡°Of course, Mistress. I¡¯ll make sure they learn proper manners before they¡¯re allowed to serve anyone again,¡± she replied, her piercing gaze returning to the chastened maids, commanding them, ¡°You two, follow me,¡± and walked away. With downcast and apologetic expressions, Sheetal and Agni quietly followed behind her. Watching them leave, Seir couldn¡¯t help but ask, ¡°Are they going to be okay?¡± Despite finding the twin sisters incredibly annoying, he didn¡¯t want anything bad to happen to them. Roygun smiled gently, reassuring him. ¡°Don¡¯t worry. Lucia is the head maid of the House of Belphegor. She¡¯s skilled at handling these situations appropriately.¡± Seir tilted his head in confusion. ¡°Head maid? Isn¡¯t that Cecily?¡± Roygun chuckled softly at his puzzled expression. ¡°Cecily is the head maid of this castle, where Father, Mother, and, of course, you reside. The House of Belphegor has multiple castles and a variety of responsibilities to manage. Lucia assists me in overseeing the entire house, which makes her the Head Maid of the House of Belphegor since I am the Head of the House of Belphegor. There are dozens of maids like Cecily working under Lucia." "I see..." murmured Seir thoughtfully. ¡®Just this one castle is already massive, and my family owns dozens more? And there are other responsibilities to manage as well? Hmm¡ I might have underestimated my family,¡¯ he mused internally. After clarifying things for Seir, Roygun shifted the conversation. "Anyway, since you wanted someone¡¯s help with reading these books¡ how about I help you?" "Really? Roygun, you¡¯ll help me?" Seir¡¯s eyes lit up with excitement. "Of course! My cute little brother wants to learn how to read. As a responsible elder sister, it¡¯s my duty to help my adorable little brother, right?" she replied with a warm smile. ¡®With this, I won¡¯t miss some of the important moments in Seir¡¯s life.¡¯ Seir''s face brightened further, and he eagerly nodded. "Okay! Roygun, please help me!" "Well then, let¡¯s head back to your room and start learning," said Roygun. "Mm!" Seir agreed enthusiastically. Carrying Seir in her arms, Roygun telekinetically made the books float alongside her as she took him back to his room. Chapter – 5 Welcome to Draconic Deus, Seir-kun! A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld Sitting comfortably in the gazebo of the castle gardens, Sephie held a delicate teacup in her hand and took a sip of the finest tea in the Underworld. On the opposite side of the square table sat a silver-white-haired woman relishing the same tea served to her. Though calling her a ¡®woman¡¯ felt somewhat odd considering her youthful appearance that would make anyone looking at her mistake her as a little girl. ¡®How is it possible? No matter how I see it, Sheila looks like a middle schooler. Yet somehow, she¡¯s even older than Mother?!¡¯ She had silver-white hair styled in twin tails, purple horns, striking purple eyes, and pointy ears. Her figure matched her childlike appearance, with a flat chest and delicate frame, making her look as though she hadn¡¯t even reached her teens. Dressed in a purple gothic outfit, she exuded an air of elegance. The ¡®woman¡¯ was the perfect embodiment of a legal Gothic Loli with the appearance of a little girl. ¡®Sheila truly looks like an incredibly beautiful porcelain doll. Is she really Lucia¡¯s biological mother? They do have similar horns¡ so I guess that must be true. But still¡ it feels so strange. If I didn¡¯t know already, I would have surely mistaken her to be Lucia¡¯s little sister!¡¯ As Seir mulled over the absurdity of a Legal Loli existing in real life, Cecily began shuffling the deck of cards in her hands. After the shuffle, she swiftly dealt them out to Sephie and Sheila, preparing for a game of Gin Rummy. Sitting on a high chair, Seir was observing the game between Sephie and Sheila. He hadn¡¯t played Card Games all that much in his past life, so watching his mother and the mother of the Head Maid of the Belphegor Household playing a Card game, even if he did not understand the rules of the game, was a novel experience for him. But truth be told, more than the Gin Rummy game being played by his mother and Sheila, Seir was interested in the color of the sky visible through the gaps between the pillars and continued to gaze at it. ¡®How odd¡ this world seems to follow the cycle of day and night, yet the color of the sky is Violet?¡¯ This isn¡¯t the first time he has noted the odd color of the sky. Every time he looks at the sky, he can¡¯t help but notice how non-scientific the Violet colored sky is. There was a very good reason why the color of the Sky on Earth from his previous life was blue. It was because of the scattering of the Visible Light as it entered the Earth¡¯s atmosphere. Since the wavelength of Blue Light was the shortest, it scattered most efficiently, making the color of the sky appear bluish when the viewer looked at it. But a violet sky? Although such a color for the sky is not impossible; it is possible only under very stringent conditions that are very hard to meet all the time. Yet, the sky is violet, and it¡¯s violet not just during the day, it has a violet shade during the night as well which is all the more weird. ¡®I wonder what phenomenon makes the Sky in this world take a purple shade all the time? Is the physics of light and light particles different in this world? Well, magic exists, so it¡¯s not impossible¡. But¡¡¯ While Seir was monologuing about the weirdness of the color of the sky, a butler walked toward the gazebo, he bowed and apologized to Sephie, ¡°My lady, I am sorry for disturbing you during your relaxation hour with Lady Sheila¡¡± and added, ¡°Lady Belphegor and my Lord have returned from the Stygian Senate¡¡± Sephie nodded, ¡°I see¡ Good work, Putin,¡± and while keeping her eyes focused on the cards in her hand, she instructed the butler, ¡°Inform Mal and Roygun that we are at the Nightshade Nectar Garden¡ and I request them to join us for evening tea. We would discuss the events at the senate over a cup of tea¡¡± ¡°As you wish my Lady¡¡± the butler named Sergei respectfully nodded with a bow, then turned around and left the gardens. ¡®Putin? Hmm¡ that family name¡ and that appearance¡ Am I hallucinating?? Is this for real?¡¯ thought Seir while looking at the back of the butler, walking away with a thoughtful expression. A butler in another world can have the same family name as the President of a certain country from modern-day Earth, ¡®But¡ but that appearance¡ what are the odds?¡¯ Before Seir could think any further, he was picked up from his high chair by a pair of hands he is all too familiar with and looked at the person, ¡°Mommy?¡± ¡°Seir dear, are you interested in Putin?¡± asked Sephie while holding Seir in her arms and looking at the disappearing back of Putin. Considering Seir¡¯s gaze on Putin¡¯s back, she could tell that for some reason, the butler named Putin attracted his attention. ¡°Ineresched!¡± nodded Seir while bobbing his head quickly. Though it was a bit embarrassing for him to not be able to properly speak ¡®interested.¡¯ In any case, his intentions were conveyed. Sephie smiled as she found ¡®Ineresched¡¯ from Seir¡¯s mouth to be very cute. However, she also began to explain, ¡°Your father found Putin in the city of Leningrad.¡± ¡°Leningrad?¡± Seir muttered, his expression suspicious. ¡®Don¡¯t tell me it¡¯s the same Leningrad I¡¯m thinking of¡¡¯ ¡°Oh, right, silly me. You wouldn¡¯t know about Leningrad, would you? Well, it¡¯s the name of a city in a nation called the USSR that exists in the Human Realm. Or, I should say, it used to exist, right? The USSR recently split into several smaller countries. Oh, and now that I think about it, Leningrad was also renamed to St. Petersburg, right? Yes, that seems to be the case. Anyway, your father came across a human named Vladimir Putin. He found the guy interesting and brought him to the Underworld¡¡± She paused, resting her cheek in her hand, then added, slightly puzzled, ¡°I wonder what Mal plans to do with him. He doesn¡¯t seem to want to turn the butler into a Devil¡ I really don¡¯t know what your father has in mind for him¡¡± ¡®Wait¡ wait¡ wait¡ hold up¡ the USSR? So that guy might really be who I think he is?¡¯ Seir¡¯s attention was quickly shifted from Putin to the USSR. ¡®More importantly, did this world have a USSR up until a while ago? And the USSR was in the Human Realm? So where are we right now? Some realm that is not the Human Realm? Demon Realm? Hell? Underworld? That would at least explain the Violet color of the sky¡ No, more importantly¡ this world had a nation named the USSR¡ and that guy currently serving as the butler of our House is the future President of Russia! This means that I haven¡¯t been Isekaied to some random world, but rather to some alternate version of Earth where magic and other supernatural stuff exist, and at the moment, I am in the past compared to the years I was born and died in!¡¯ This was a lot to process. For the past year, Seir had assumed he was reborn as a demon in another world, like those lucky (or unlucky) individuals from Isekai light novels. But now he was realizing that wasn¡¯t the case. Although he had been reborn, the world he had entered was an alternate version of Earth, where demons existed. ¡®Damn¡ an alternate reality in the multiverse, not a completely different world? And that too during the peak years of Cold War¡¡¯ It took Seir some time to come to terms with this realization. Once he accepted the truth, he began to piece together more of the situation. Seir wasn''t Russian in his previous life, nor was he someone who kept up with geopolitics or global events, so he''s not entirely sure. However, from what he can remember, the USSR dissolved into Russia and other Slavic countries around a decade before the end of the twentieth century. This suggests that the current year is either 1991 or somewhere around that time. Realizing that he was more than 30 years in the past, Seir couldn''t help but feel incredibly lucky! ¡®There are so many things I can take advantage of with my retained knowledge of the twenty-first century Earth!¡¯ thought Seir, he was especially looking forward to becoming a multi-billionaire just by buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Shiba INU, Dogecoin, and other cryptocurrencies when they are dirt cheap and sell them past Covid 19, that is before the year 2022 and maybe buying them again when their price falls before the 2025 halving Cycle of Bitcoin. Just this trade of Cryptocurrencies would make him a multi-billionaire without having to put any effort, and let¡¯s not forget the trillion-dollar and hundreds of billion-dollar market cap companies that he could invest in at an early stage¡ Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, NVIDIA, Tesla, Samsung and so many more. There are literally hundreds of companies out there! ¡®Gone are the days of a middle-class mediocre life, I am going to be a filthy rich second-generation young master in this second life!¡¯ Seir screamed inwardly in excitement. Heck, it¡¯s no longer impossible for him to become the richest man on the planet! ¡®Zehahahaha¡¡¯ imitating the evil laugh of a certain three-bearded pirate, Seir thought to himself, ¡®Perhaps I will be the World¡¯s first trillionaire of the modern era!¡¯ As Seir was having various thoughts about acquiring trillion-dollar wealth, Malakarion and Roygun arrived at the garden, along with Lucia following them. Cecily greeted the three people with a respectful bow as they entered the Gazebo, ¡°Welcome home, Lord Malakarion, Lady Roygun¡¡± ¡°Thank you for your hard work, Cecily,¡± Mal said with a nod, and Roygun mirrored the gesture. After that Mal turned to his wife and son, ¡°Sephie¡ Seir¡¡± ¡°Look, Seir dear¡ your father and sister are back from the Senate¡ go on¡ greet them¡¡± urged Sephie as she turned toward Mal and Roygun while carrying Seir. Following Sephie¡¯s urging, Seir greeted Mal, ¡°Welcome back, Father¡ Welcome back, Roygun¡¡± Malakarion nodded lightly, ¡°It¡¯s good to be back¡¡± On the other hand, Roygun responded warmly, ¡°Thank you, Seir, my dear. How was your day, sweetheart?¡± ¡°It was boring¡¡± answered Seir with a pout. ¡°Is that so?¡± chuckled Roygun as she took Seir in her arms from Sephie¡¯s, and holding her little brother in his arms, she spoke, ¡°Then we shall do something about this boredom of yours¡¡± Seir tilted his head, ¡°What would we do?¡± ¡°I am pondering over it¡ Give me a moment¡¡± answered Roygun with a smile. ¡°Okay¡¡± nodded Seir lightly. On the other hand, Mal turned to his wife, ¡°Sephie¡¡± If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. There weren¡¯t any words spoken between the pair of husband and wife as they locked their lips together, during which Seir made sure to look away, ¡®It¡¯s a bit weird to watch your parents make out¡¡¯ As the couple separated, Sephie smiled happily, ¡°Welcome home Mal¡¡± ¡°It''s wonderful to be back home.¡± nodded Mal. At the same time, Lucia and Sheila exchanged greetings, and Lucia said, ¡°I didn¡¯t expect to see you here, Mother. I thought you were traveling in the Human Realm.¡± ¡°I was,¡± Sheila replied, ¡°but when I heard about the dissolution of the USSR, I decided it was significant enough of a matter to return to the Underworld.¡± ¡°I see¡¡± nodded Lucia, accepting the answer. Roygun also turned to Sheila and spoke, ¡°In fact, Aunty, I was expecting to see you at the Stygian Senate, but you weren¡¯t there. I didn¡¯t know you were here at the castle accompanying, Mother, instead.¡± ¡°Well, I didn¡¯t feel like dealing with all those stuck-ups at the senate,¡± Sheila replied with a casual shrug before adding, ¡°Since Sephie was kind enough to accompany me for tea and some card games, I figured I¡¯d wait here to hear the report from you and my daughter when she returned from the Senate.¡± ¡°Understandable,¡± nodded Roygun with a thoughtful expression as she took one of the four seats at the square table with Seir still in her arms and turned her attention to Sephie, ¡°Mother, how have things been in my absence?¡± Mal too paid attention to Sephie¡¯s answer while settling into the last available chair. ¡°The household has been running smoothly, and we¡¯re all doing well,¡± Sephie replied casually. ¡°That¡¯s good to hear,¡± nodded Roygun. Once Roygun, Malakarion, Sephie, and Sheila had settled on the four chairs, Lucia and the other maids began preparing tea and snacks for the four and as tea cups were placed in front of them, Mal recalling something, asked Sephie, ¡°While we were coming to the garden, I noticed the two of you talking about something¡ mind if I hear about it?¡± ¡°Sure, we were talking about Putin¡ Seir expressed some interest in the child, so I was just about to tell him about how you found the boy,¡± answered Sephie, then she clapped her hands together, and suggested, ¡°Since you are here, why don¡¯t you retell the tale?¡± ¡°Retell that tale? Would you like to hear about it, son?¡± asked Mal looking at Seir. ¡°Umm¡ sure¡¡± He had nothing better to do at the moment, so he did not mind hearing about it. "Alright then," Mal said with a nod, taking a sip of his tea. And so, the tale of how Vladimir Putin was brought to the Belphegor castle began. . . Zzzzzz¡ ¡°It seems he got bored of the tale¡¡± giggled Sephie as she watched Seir ¡®sleeping¡¯ in Roygun¡¯s arms. ¡°Was it really that boring?¡± asked Mal with a pout. He did not expect that his son would go to the extent of ¡®falling asleep¡¯ in the middle of the tale. ¡®Yes¡ it was!¡¯ "Yes, it was Father! And honestly, your reason for bringing that man to the Belphegor Domain is rather pointless." Unfortunately for Malakarion, Roygun and Seir shared the same sentiment. While Seir chose not to voice his opinion, Roygun had no reservations about expressing hers. "Eh? Do you really think so? I thought he might prove to be useful¡" Mal replied thoughtfully. Roygun sighed before responding, "Well, since you¡¯ve already brought him to the Underworld, I¡¯ll see what I can do with him. If he turns out to be useful, then fine. Otherwise, I¡¯ll just erase his memories and send him back to where he came from." She nodded decisively. ¡®The future president of Russia, reduced to being a potential pawn in Roygun¡¯s hands... Talk about something completely unexpected,¡¯ Seir thought to himself. Sephie shifted the conversation. ¡°Anyway, how did things go at the Senate? Did anyone voice opinions about the dissolution of the USSR?¡± Roygun shrugged. ¡°Maou Lucifer suggested maintaining the same stance we had during the First and Second World Wars in the Human realm.¡± Sheila nodded thoughtfully. ¡°As expected of that boy. He¡¯s really soft¡ but I suppose his stance is logical. Heaven and Grigori won¡¯t stay silent if we Devils make any move. Things could escalate quickly¡¡± ¡®Heaven? Grigori? Wait, are you telling me there¡¯s a Heaven in this alternate Earth too? Well, now that I think about it, if there¡¯s a Hell¡ªor to be more precise, the Underworld¡ªhere, it¡¯s not so strange that Heaven exists as well. Alright, that makes sense. But what¡¯s this Grigori about? Grigori¡ where have I heard that term before¡ hmm¡¡¯ ¡°Yes, it¡¯s best to let humans handle their own affairs and avoid interfering unless something truly significant occurs,¡± said Sephie. Mal nodded in agreement. ¡°Though, making a few subtle moves here and there is perfectly fine.¡± ¡°I see, so majorly non-interference but a bit of influence¡?¡± Sheila nodded thoughtfully. Sephie agreed, then shifted the conversation. ¡°Aside from the matter concerning the USSR, did anything interesting happen in the Senate?¡± ¡°Something interesting?¡± Malakarion repeated, taking a sip of his tea as he considered the various topics discussed at the Senate. After a moment of reflection, he shook his head. ¡°Nothing, really, that I would describe as interesting. The Senate remains as it has been for the past five centuries¡ªunchanged. They continue discussing the changes in human society and deliberating over what steps to take in response.¡± Roygun paused, her expression thoughtful as she tried to recall the events. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. ¡°Actually, something did happen. While it wasn¡¯t a topic of discussion or an official matter raised in the Senate, I did notice something intriguing.¡± ¡°Oh? And what might that be?¡± Sephie asked with curiosity. Naturally, Malakarion, Sheila, Lucia, and even Seir turned their attention toward Roygun, all interested in what had caught her attention. ¡°Serafall couldn¡¯t stop boasting that her mother is pregnant with a child,¡± Roygun replied with a faint smile. Huh? Serafall¡ wait a minute, Serafall? That name sounds familiar somehow¡ Seir thought to himself, his mind racing. ¡°Hm? Selene Sitri is pregnant?¡± Sephie murmured thoughtfully. ¡®A Sitri being mentioned in connection to Serafall¡¯s mother¡¯s pregnancy¡ now that¡¯s intriguing¡¡¯ Seir pondered, his curiosity piqued. ¡°Yes, Lady Sitri is indeed pregnant,¡± Roygun confirmed with a nod. Sheila tilted her head in confusion. ¡°While it¡¯s good news that the House of Sitri is expecting an heir, what¡¯s so intriguing about that?¡± Roygun smiled and then turned to Lucia. ¡°Lucia, would you like to share what you told me about your conversation with Lady Grayfia?¡± Lucia nodded lightly before speaking. ¡°It seems that, just like Lady Sitri, Lady Gremory is also expecting her second child in the coming months.¡± ¡®First Serafall and Sitri, and now Grayfia and Gremory?¡¯ Seir thought with a sigh. ¡°Oh? So the House of Gremory is expecting an heir as well?¡± Sephie murmured, her expression thoughtful. Roygun nodded and took a sip of her tea before continuing, ¡°And it doesn¡¯t stop there. I¡¯ve received intelligence that not long ago, an heir to the House of Astaroth was born¡ªa boy named Diodora Astaroth. Around the same time, Maou Beelzebub¡¯s niece was also born. Her name is Latia Astaroth.¡± ¡®Diodora and Latia Astaroth?¡¯ Malakarion was taken aback by this information. He suddenly recalled something and said, ¡°Didn¡¯t the House of Bael also have an heir two years ago? What was the boy¡¯s name? Hm¡ Sairaorc?¡± Roygun burst out laughing upon hearing Mal¡¯s words, ¡°No father, it isn¡¯t Sairaorc,¡± and quickly corrects him, ¡°It¡¯s Sairaorg! Sairaorg Bael!¡± ¡°Ah, yes, Sairaorg Bael!¡± nodded Mal agreeing with the correction ¡®Even Sairaorg Bael?¡¯ Seir thought. Shiela added, ¡°Now that you mention the Baels, I heard from an acquaintance living in their domain that the Great King is expecting another child, though this one is from his second wife. Oh, and the House of Agares also had an heir recently. It¡¯s a girl named Seekvaira Agares.¡± ¡®Seekvaira Agares? Yes, how could she have been forgotten?¡¯ Roygun continued, ¡°That¡¯s not all. There¡¯s also a girl from the House of Glasya-Labolas named Liselotte. Then, a boy from the House of Amon, a girl from the House of Vassago, and another girl from the House of Abaddon. Just half a decade ago, Ruval¡¯s mother gave birth to her third son¡ what was his name? Ah, yes, Riser Phenex.¡± ¡®Sigh¡ It seems certain at this point¡¡¯ Roygun smiled as she gently caressed Seir¡¯s hair and added, ¡°And of course, we have our little Seir here.¡± After listing all these recent births, Roygun paused and asked, ¡°Does anyone notice something?¡± The room fell silent as everyone pondered what Roygun was implying. She continued, ¡°There have been an unusually high number of births recently¡¡± ¡°Yes,¡± she nodded, ¡°Even though Devils have a very low fertility rate, quite a few children have been born, and all around the same time.¡± She added, ¡°I¡¯m not saying this is a bad thing. The higher the number of children in prominent families, the earlier we recover our numbers and strength¡ but¡ it¡¯s intriguing. Why are so many of these children being born so close together?¡± ¡®It¡¯s because the author needed characters to be around the same age as the MC¡¡¯ Seir thought to himself. Unaware of his internal musings, the others exchanged thoughtful glances. Roygun continued, ¡°This isn¡¯t the first time such an unusual pattern has occurred, is it? After all, Sirzechs Gremory, Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri, Grayfia Lucifuge, Shalba Beelzebub, Falbium Glasya-Labolas, Katerea Leviathan, Creuserey Asmodeus, along with a bunch of other young Devils were all born within a few years of each other in the High-Class families at that time.¡± She paused, her expression growing serious before adding, ¡°And we all know what happened not long after that¡ Only a few decades after their births, the Civil War broke out in the Underworld.¡± ¡®It might be a coincidence if just a few names lined up,¡¯ Seir thought, ¡®but for this many to align? That¡¯s way too much of a coincidence¡ And then there¡¯s that Civil War she mentioned¡ Yup, no doubt about it¡ everything adds up.¡¯ Mal tilted his head in confusion. ¡°So, are you suggesting that since so many births are happening again around the same time, something on that scale might happen again?¡± Roygun shrugged. ¡°It¡¯s just a conspiracy theory I came up with while I was bored out of my mind at the Senate¡ what do you guys think of this conspiracy theory?¡± Sephie sighed, shaking her head. ¡°You and your imagination¡ always coming up with these pointless conspiracy theories.¡± Sheila, however, blinked thoughtfully as she sipped her tea. A small smile played on her lips. ¡°Still, I must admit¡ªit¡¯s an interesting theory.¡± Sephie shook her head dismissively. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, nothing like that will happen. And even if it does, it wouldn¡¯t concern us, right, darling?¡± Malakarion nodded in agreement. ¡°Exactly. It¡¯s been eons since we last involved ourselves in Underworld politics. Honestly, if not for you participating in the Rating Games, Roygun, we¡¯d barely maintain any contact with the Stygian Senate. Whatever crisis might arise in the Underworld, it wouldn¡¯t involve the House of Belphegor. Besides, with the strength of the current Maou Lucifer and Beelzebub, I doubt they¡¯d let any real danger threaten the Underworld.¡± ¡®Oh, if only you knew, Father,¡¯ Seir thought, a shadow of concern in his mind. ¡®How terrible the future might be¡ªnot just for the Underworld, but for the entire planet¡¡¯ ¡®Sigh¡ I didn¡¯t expect my reality to be this¡ I have been reborn into a troublesome world¡¡¯ If realizing his rebirth was a shocker, discovering the existence of magic was a stunner, figuring out his race was a mind-boggler, stumbling upon this alternate earth was a bolt out of the multiverse, then determining the exact reality of the world he has been living in for the past year is almost hallucinatory. One or two coincidences are not strange, but when so many of them line up¡ they are no longer coincidences! The way information stands in front of him, there are only three possibilities. Number one, he has smoked too much weed, and everyone is playing a very elaborate prank on him using some VR technology. Yeah, that would be funny. Number two, again, he has smoked too much weed and is daydreaming about absurd situations, in which case he doesn¡¯t want to wake up from this daydream and doesn¡¯t mind spending his entire life in it. But maybe he should otherwise, the subject strapped on his experiment table would starve to death, and he wouldn¡¯t even have finished the experiment he was conducting. Number three, everything before him is one hundred percent true. He is really inside the World he thinks it is. Considering that he never once touched anything past Red Bull and that too only two to three times in his entire life, the first and second possibilities can be ruled out, which means he really is inside the world he thinks he is. Which world is it you ask? It¡¯s the World where every mythology exists and everything is a possibility no matter how absurdly unbelievable that may sound or appear. It¡¯s the world where it is possible to create unique magic spells such as Dress Break & Pailingual that allow the user to strip women of their clothing upon physical contact & read their thoughts and plans by literally making their tits talk. It¡¯s the world where the son of the plane is blessed literally by Chichigami, aka, the boob goddess from another world. It¡¯s the world where the protagonist gets his Sh¨nen power-ups by poking nipples and sucking boobies. It¡¯s the world where the main character gets motivated by listening to the Oppai Songs and is known as the Breast Dragon Emperor, while his main rival is known as the Butt Dragon Emperor. ¡®Hmm, not that I think about it¡ There¡¯s a Breast Dragon Emperor and a Butt Dragon Emperor¡ but what about the Clit Dragon Emperor? Who¡¯s the Clit Dragon Emperor? There has to be someone with that alias as well, right?¡¯ Anyway, it¡¯s a world where the hero can survive certain death situations by being submerged in a tub filled with women¡¯s breast milk. That¡¯s right, it¡¯s the world where both dreams and the infinite exist in a physical form, it is the world of devils and dragons also inhabited by gods, buddhas, heroes, mystical creatures, and, of course, humans! The world Seir has been reborn into is none other than DxD, aka Draconic Deus, and he seems to have been born in the same generation as the son of the plane. ¡®DxD, huh? Wonder what good deeds I performed in my previous life that I have been reborn as a Devil into the High School DxD¡¡¯ ¡®Either way¡ it seems I am fucked, though, I am not sure in a good way or in a bad way¡!¡¯ Chapter – 6 An Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld It is said that when Sirzechs Gremory was born, he floated in the air releasing the Power of Destruction which was so powerful that it could disintegrate or deform surrounding furniture and decoration without a trace. No one in the room except Venelana Gremory could touch him at that time without being harmed. Similar instances were observed not just in the case of Sirzechs Gremory, but also in the cases of Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri, Falbium Glasya-Labolas, Grayfia Lucifuge, and Diehauser Belial, each of whom displayed their respective traits at the moment of birth. Even as newborn babies, these people could perform feats others could only hope for, so it is no surprise that the six of these individuals are considered the most gifted Devils to have ever been born and are undoubtedly the strongest within the Underworld in the present era. Of course, there is one more individual with similar potential, but nobody talks about that person openly. It¡¯s not that he is irrelevant, in fact, he is relevant¡ very relevant, so relevant that his name and presence alone is enough to shake the entire Underworld, but because that person is bored of everything, and since no one has any clue about his whereabouts or what he has been up to for the past five to six centuries so let¡¯s not talk about him. Talking about Sirzechs Gremory, Ajuka Astaroth, Serafall Sitri, Falbium Glasya-Labolas, Grayfia Lucifuge, and Diehauser Belial¡ each of them is incredible in their own right. Sirzechs and Ajuka are Super Devils and are among the top ten strongest beings. Serafall Sitri and Falbium Glasya-Labolas went on to become the four Maous of the current generations alongside Sirzechs and Ajuka for their incredible power, Grayfia Lucifuge is known as the strongest [Queen] and can go toe to toe against the strongest she-Devil in the Underworld for ten days straight. Meanwhile, Diehauser Belial is the uncontested champion of the Rating Games. The only reason these six Devils managed to become so incredibly powerful and influential is that they were born with an unmatchable potential among the Devil Kind. Had they not been born with such potential, they wouldn¡¯t have made such achievements, and this makes the importance of potential at birth incredibly important. ¡®The likes of Sirzechs, Ajuka, Serafall, Falbium, Grayfia, and Diehauser were born with such scary potential and overwhelming Demonic Power that their current achievements are a matter of course, on the other hand, there¡¯s me¡ just an above average Belphegor with not so scary potential¡¡¯ ¡®Why wasn¡¯t I born with unnatural levels of reserves of Demonic Power like those beings?¡¯ ¡®Why didn¡¯t I create an infinite number of [Cracks] in my surroundings such that only my family members could hold me at the moment of my birth?¡¯ ¡®Why wasn¡¯t I born to be a natural transcendental Class Devil?¡¯ ¡®Why wasn¡¯t I born with a Longinus?¡¯ ¡®Why am I the only one who didn¡¯t get to meet big-titty ROB who¡¯d grant me three wishes?¡¯ ¡®Where are my damn wishes?¡¯ ¡®Where is my almighty system?¡¯ ¡®Where are my cheats?¡¯ ¡®Sigh! Why am I the only one born as an above-average Belphegor?¡¯ Certainly, he was able to invoke all kinds of supernatural phenomena, such as elemental magics of different natures, using Demonic Power from the stage of infancy, but that does not mean his potential is scary. What it actually means is that he has incredible talent, but does he have incredible talent? After all, the only reason he has been able to create various magical phenomena from the stage of infancy is that Seir is an adult living inside a baby, so he can¡¯t truly be considered ¡®incredibly¡¯ talented. And on the off chance he could be considered talented, that¡¯s just talent, not high potential. Yes, high talent does not equate to high potential. Talent only dictates how fast one grows, it does not dictate the upper limit of one¡¯s growth. ¡®Sigh¡ at this rate, I would never be able to distinguish myself in the same class as the top ten strongest beings in the world¡ I would just be known as the heir of the House of Belphegor, and that¡¯s it¡¡¯ Seir had already developed a solid understanding of his current situation. Granted, it took him about a year to realize he had been reborn as a Devil in the world of High School DxD, but can you really blame him? How was he supposed to figure that out right away? It¡¯s not like he could have just assumed he¡¯d been reincarnated into DxD as a Devil, right? In the first place, who in their right mind would think, ¡®Oh, I¡¯ve been reborn as some kind of demon baby with bat wings... there are other demons around me, my father, mother, and elder sister are also demons of some sort... so, this must be the world of DxD!¡¯ right after finding themselves in a strange new world as a demon baby? Just because he was reborn as a demon baby didn¡¯t automatically mean he had been reborn into High School DxD as a demon baby, right? In fact, assuming he had been reborn into a fictional world should have been the absolute last conclusion to reach. No, even calling it the last conclusion is not right, after all, DxD was supposed to be a story, a work of imagination. Who would actually think that the Draconic Deus could be real? Seir seriously couldn¡¯t imagine anyone seriously considering the possibility of being reborn into the world of DxD¡ªto him, it felt absurd to assume he had been reincarnated into that fictional universe just because there were demons around him. And even if he entertained the possibility of being reborn into a fictional world brought to life, why would High School DxD be his first assumption? For all he knew, he could have been reborn into The Testament of Sister New Devil or some other universe with demons. It didn¡¯t necessarily have to be High School DxD. It could have been anything! So how could he possibly reach that conclusion? He lacked enough information, and there wasn¡¯t anyone around who appeared in the story¡ªsomeone he could use as a reference point to connect the dots and figure it out. Alright, fine¡ªmaybe there was someone around him whose name stood out. In fact, his blood-related elder sister, Roygun Belphegor, was that very person. But was he really supposed to hear her name, look at her, and immediately think, ¡®Oh, since my elder sister Roygun Belphegor shares the same name as the Roygun Belphegor from that story, this must be DxD. I must have been reborn into DxD!¡¯ That kind of logic sounds absurd and completely idiotic! That¡¯s not how things work. For all he knew, it could just be a coincidence that someone around him shared the same name as a character from the story. It¡¯s not impossible, after all! Moreover, Roygun never appeared in any of the first four anime seasons, which makes sense since she wasn¡¯t introduced in the first ten volumes of the Light Novel. She shows up quite late in the series, and it¡¯s not like her role in the story is so impactful at the time of her introduction that she becomes an unforgettable character, either. On top of that, she barely had any illustrations in the books¡ªthere was just one, and even that was in black and white. Not to mention that it wasn¡¯t in the main volumes, but rather, side stories, and honestly, he never bothered reading the Side stories. He doesn¡¯t even remember whether he saw her illustration or not. But even if he did, was he supposed to recognize his elder sister to be that character from a story based on a vague, monochrome illustration? There¡¯s no way anyone could make that connection! If someone like Sirzechs, Grayfia, Serafall, or Azazel had been around him instead of Roygun, Seir might have figured things out much sooner. But with Roygun? Expecting him to connect the dots so early is completely unreasonable. So yes, it took him a full year to realize that he had been reincarnated into DxD as a Devil¡ªbut honestly, who could blame him? Anyway, soon after coming to the realization of his absurd reincarnation as a Devil in DxD, Seir started connecting the dots and quickly understood his current situation. Therefore, now he is aware of the fact that he is the younger brother of Roygun Belphegor and next in line to be the heir to the House of Belphegor. Talking about the House of Belphegor¡ The House of Belphegor traces its origins to the first Belphegor, one of the seven original Devils embodying the Cardinal Sin of Sloth, alongside the other six. While four of these original Devils went on to become the Maou, the other three did not. However, this doesn¡¯t imply that the original Belphegor was weaker or inferior to the four Maou. Rather, it was simply a matter of the original Belphegor being far too lazy to take on the responsibilities and role of a Maou. Granted, in the Satanic texts, Belphegor is often regarded as the weakest of the Seven Cardinal Demons, but that reputation largely stems from his inherent laziness and indifference toward most matters. Anyway, after the original Four Maou perished, the 72 Pillars united under the Bael banner to form the Great King Faction. However, the House of Belphegor, alongside other prominent houses like Abaddon, Mammon, et cetera, chose to distance itself from the descendants of the four Maou as well as the Great King Faction. For this reason, even after the establishment of the new government under the cooperation of the Great King Faction and the Four Maou of the new generation, the Belphegors refrained from playing an active role. They continued to abstain from Underworld politics, keeping largely to themselves for reasons Seir doesn¡¯t know. What he does know, however, is that if not for his elder sister Roygun¡ªboth a top competitor in the Rating Games and the current Head of the House of Belphegor¡ªthe family likely wouldn¡¯t even bother attending the Stygian Senate (Congress). Yes, Roygun is the Belphegor who has somewhat broken the isolationist tradition of the House of Belphegor. Speaking of Roygun, she is the current Head of the House of Belphegor and holds the prestigious position of second ranker in the Rating Games. While her official status is that of an Ultimate-Class Devil, her personal strength places her at the level of a Maou-Class Devil. She is widely regarded as one of the strongest beings in the Underworld alongside the current four Maous and the Champion and is celebrated as one of the ¡®Three Strong Beauties,¡¯ alongside Serafall Leviathan and Grayfia Lucifuge. Typically, any Devil from the Extra Demon Houses who chooses to participate in the Rating Games is required to sever ties with their household. Despite this standard, Roygun has managed to retain her position as the Head of the House of Belphegor. That alone speaks volumes about her extraordinary prowess and influence. However, Seir, aware of what the future holds, knows this success won¡¯t last long. ¡®In just two decades, everything Roygun has built over the past few centuries will crumble like a sandcastle.¡¯ After all, Roygun¡¯s success and accomplishments aren¡¯t entirely her own. She hadn¡¯t achieved her standing purely through struggle, effort, or talent. Much of what she¡¯s managed to accomplish is due to the influence of the [King] piece that resides within her, ¡®When the corruption within the Rating Games comes to light, it will be the end for her. She¡¯ll even be shunned by the House of Belphegor.¡¯ ¡®As for why she used the [King] piece¡ sigh¡ never mind. That¡¯s not important right now.¡¯ What¡¯s important at the moment is to go over his potential, and Seir really hates to admit that his potential is not up to the standards he was hoping for it to be. Unlike the four Maous and the Rating Game champion, Seir wasn¡¯t born with incredible reserves of Demonic Power that a Super Devil or a Maou Class Devil would be born with. This means unlike them, it wouldn¡¯t be easy for him to reach that level of strength unless he chooses the route his elder sister chose. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. Now, don¡¯t take it the wrong way, just because he says that his potential is not up to his standards does not mean that he has zero potential or his potential is very low. No, that¡¯s not the case at all! Being a Belphegor and carrying the blood of the original Belphegor, even in the worst-case scenario, he would be able to reach the epitome of Ultimate Class in terms of strength without even requiring much training. At least, that¡¯s what he thinks based on his understanding of the House of Belphegor as well as Malakarion¡¯s Ultimate Class strength. If Seir trains his butt off for a few decades or so, he might be able to reach the level of a Maou Class Devil¡ perhaps even a little higher, though this is just a probably since Seir isn¡¯t exactly certain of his upper limit. Going by average High-Class Devil societies¡¯ standards, he has very high potential, and he would be able to make a name for himself in the Rating Games if he makes his debut, but this level of potential is not up to his standards. Certainly, he will become an Ultimate Class being, but that doesn¡¯t meet his expectations and is nowhere near as scary as the true Maou Class beings like Serafall and Diehauser or the more absurd planet buster like Sirzechs and Ajuka and not even a speck of dust in comparison to world-breaking Dragon God Class. ¡®Heck, as a future Ultimate Class, at best, I would reach the higher end of a three-digit ranking (approaching a four-digit ranking), and that too at the start of the Canon¡ In front of the lower end of the three-digit ranking and the double-digit ranking I would be nothing more than fodder¡ and let¡¯s not talk about the single-digit rankings like Hades, Crom Cruach, True form of Sirzechs, Balberith, and Shiva¡ just being in their presence alone might be enough to vaporize me¡ As for 666, ¡Þ, the Dragon of Dreams and the ExE gods even above them? Do I even have the right to compare myself to them? Can an Amoeba ever hope to compare itself to a Tyrannosaurus?¡¯ In front of powerhouses of that caliber, he would be nothing more than an ant that can be crushed without them even having to pay any attention to him. A random sneeze, a random fart, or a random footstep, and that¡¯s it; it would spell his end multiple times over. Ultimate Class Devils start becoming irrelevant halfway through the story of DxD and become completely irrelevant when Hades starts creating thousands upon thousands of Devils in his attempts to create Super Devils. ¡®Sigh, with this kind of strength and potential, I would never be able to accomplish my ambitions¡¡¯ Let alone fulfilling his ambitions; even survival is debatable in front of those beings. After all, Seir is not Hy¨d¨ Issei; he is not the protagonist born with the plot armor, he is not the host of the Heavenly Red Dragon Ddraig, he does not have the blessing of Chichigami; his body is not made up of the flesh of the Dragon of Dreams, and his soul is not protected and powered by the Ouroboros Dragon God. Most of all, Seir doesn¡¯t believe that he can power up by poking nipples! Sure, he loves them, certainly, he would grope them and play with them, and definitely, he would suck, lick, bite, & poke them if he got the opportunity, which he thinks he will since he is a High-Class Devil by birth. In fact, he has already been doing some stuff since his infancy, but something as absurd as powering up through them just does not make any sense to him. ¡®I know it¡¯s about don¡¯t try to understand it, feel it¡ but I can¡¯t cope that hard, things have to make some sense to me, and poking nipples for a powerup doesn¡¯t make any sense¡¡¯ He can only rely on things that logically make some sense to him, and poking nipples for a power-up is so absurd that he has no words for such absurdness. All he has is his reserves of Demonic Power that would help him reach the Ultimate Class strength or maybe up to Maou Class strength after a few decades if he were to put rigorous effort into training. Access to the broken Magic System of the Devil Race that works on imagination, the trait of the House of Belphegor, which he¡¯ll probably awaken in the future, the wealth, status, connections, & resources of the House of Belphegor, an elder sister who is Maou Class for the next few years, past life experience as a scientist, knowledge of not only the DxD plot but also of a lot of other manga and anime. ''When it''s explicitly laid out before me, it seems like I have quite a lot on my plate that I can make some use of, doesn¡¯t it? And my greatest power¡'' In Seir¡¯s personal opinion, his greatest power is neither his not-up-to-his-standard Demonic Power reserves nor his trait [Crack]. Although access to the broken magic system of the Devil race and past life experience as a scientist would prove to be incredibly helpful, his greatest asset is still his knowledge of DxD Canon as well as of other manga and Anime. The knowledge and information that he might be able to put to good use in conjunction with the wealth, status, connections, & resources of the House of Belphegor and his temporary Maou class elder sister to make up for all his shortcomings and truly accomplish his insane ambitions. He has to make do with these things to fulfill the absurd ambitions he had the audacity of having soon after he realized that he was in DxD. ¡®Sigh, babies and their absurd dreams¡ some want to go to the Land of Chocolate. Meanwhile, others want to become the daddy of their mommy, I can¡¯t blame my baby self for having an absurd ambition, now can I, even if I am not a baby at heart¡ but then again, in comparison to the centuries and eons old folks around me, I am not too old, either¡¡¯ Nope, he is not talking about the ambition of becoming the multi-billionaire or the first trillionaire in the world. He might have wanted to do that had he not been reborn into DxD, but just this small change completely changed his ambition. Although he still intends to acquire incredible wealth and become a trillionaire, since he already added those things to his bucket list, it is no longer about wealth anymore¡ it is about status, power, and, of course, women from here on. Yes, he doesn¡¯t want to be mediocre anymore; he has already experienced that sort of life once. In this second life, Seir wants excellence, fame, power, status, women, and everything else this world has to offer. To achieve everything he desires, he needs a solid plan¡ªa plan that will set him on the right path and guide him toward his goals. But to create such a plan, he must first refresh his memories of the DxD canon. After all, the foundation of his strategy will rely heavily on the events and details from DxD. Why the need to refresh his memories? Well, while it''s true that he watched the anime and read the light novels in his previous life, that was years ago, long before his death. Who in their right mind remembers every little detail from something they only read or watched once in their life? Naturally, he doesn¡¯t remember every little detail¡ªbut there¡¯s no need to worry. It¡¯s not like he is in a rush or something. He has some time on his side, and he plans to make the most of it, especially since the DxD canon isn¡¯t set to begin anytime soon. After all, the princess of the House of Gremory is barely a one-year-old child at this point, so Seir knows he has several years to prepare himself thoroughly, remember every little detail, develop his plan, and act on it. With that thought in mind, he mentally nodded to himself, ¡®Yes, I must recall all the details of DxD canon, then plan out things in order to put all my knowledge to good use for myself, lest I get stuck in mediocrity even in this second chance at life¡¡¯ As Seir made up his mind, a voice came from behind him, ¡°So, this is where you have been? I have been searching for you everywhere in the Castle!¡± Seir did not need to turn around and identify the person to know who it was. He already knew who it was just from the voice, he looked behind and greeted the said person, ¡°Good evening, Mother¡¡± Sephie pouted, ¡°Mother¡? I preferred ¡®Mommy¡¡¯¡± Seir was a little embarrassed to keep calling Sephie ¡®Mommy,¡¯ it reminded him of the quest he once went on in his previous life, a search for Sugar Mommy, which he failed at miserably since he deeply cared about superficial things like his partner¡¯s appearance and their body shape. No matter how hard he tried to convince himself that what¡¯s truly important is just the money and heart, he just couldn¡¯t bring himself to be in a relationship with a wrinkly old hag with saggy tits just for the sake of money and easy life. Certainly, old is gold, and milfs are the true gifts from God to mankind, but they must not be wrinkly and saggy, which is unavoidable in the case of humans. Seir does not see Sephie in that light, nor does ever wish to see her that way. Although the idea of mother-son incest does entice him, he does not want to ruin his relationship with her. As someone who never experienced motherly love and affection in his previous life because his mother left to buy milk when he was very young, the prospect of receiving unadulterated motherly love and affection deeply entices him more. Moreover, he does not wish to ruin the relationship between Mal and Sephie, either. Although his father has a harem of his own which is managed by Sephie, his parents do seem to deeply care about each other, something he did not get to see in his previous life since they separated quite early in his life. Besides, there¡¯s already a nine-tailed fox Milf in Draconic Deus waiting for him in Kyoto; he would much rather think of a way to pound her pus*y one day, rather than try to destroy his precious family, the House of Belphegor, and his own future along with it. As for the enticing idea of incest? ¡®Isn¡¯t my dear elder sister a Shota-con? And she doesn¡¯t seem to have a suitor either¡¡¯ thought Seir, licking his lips in anticipation while imagining a prospective future that awaits him. ¡®Ah, but¡ let¡¯s not think about that for now¡¡¯ Shaking his head, Seir threw away his trashy thoughts into the gutter and turned his attention back to the breathtaking scenery before him. Even if the diurnal cycle, the sun, the moon, and the stars are artificially created to adjust the Underworld¡¯s time flow into day and night to match it in the human realm for the sake of reincarnated Devils, it doesn¡¯t change the fact these artificial things have made the sky of the Underworld breathtakingly beautiful. ¡®Stargazing was never my hobby, but that might change soon.¡¯ Unlike the twenty-first-century Earth from his previous life, the Underworld has no pollution¡ Or maybe he should be more precise here and say, ¡®Well, no air pollution.¡¯ Yes, while the Underworld doesn¡¯t have any air pollution problem, the same cannot be said about other forms of pollution like the most troubling Mana pollution. What is Mana Pollution? Mana pollution is basically a corrupted form of Demonic Energy known as Miasma, polluting the land of the Underworld. The overflow of Miasma is a serious problem in the underworld as it has made many territories in the Underworld uninhabitable and infested with incredibly dangerous Demonic Beasts that can make even Ultimate Class Devils feel threatened, at least, that¡¯s what the books he has been reading about says. Anyway, since there is no air pollution, so the night sky is very clear and mesmerizing to look at. Noticing her son so enchanted by the night sky, Sephie smiled lightly. She gently sat down beside him and spoke, ¡°When I was a child, I used to stare at the night sky too¡¡± ¡°Huh? But the day and night system did not exist back then, right?¡± asked Seir. The day and night system in the underworld was created within the past five centuries by the current four Maous, before that, the sky of the Underworld was always Violet. ¡°Yes, therefore, I used to go to the Human Realm for stargazing¡¡± answered Sephie. She turned her attention toward the night sky and added, ¡°Whenever I was troubled by anything that made me feel overwhelmed, I would sneak into the Human Realm and spend the night there simply staring at the night sky¡¡± She paused as she recalled a very important detail and added, ¡°In fact, it was also because of my little star-gazing excursions in the Human realm that I met your father¡¡± ¡°Is that so?¡± muttered Seir surprised not only to learn that Sephie used to visit the Human for stargazing but also at information that his parents first met during her star-gazing excursions in the Human realm. ¡®How long ago was that, though? Probably a few thousand years, right?¡¯ Seir couldn¡¯t help but think. Honestly, he does not know about this part of Sephie¡¯s and Mal¡¯s life, but then again, he doesn¡¯t know anything about his parent¡¯s past and most of the others in the castle. ¡®Roygun is probably the only one whom I know most about¡ I know that she absolutely loves Rating Games. I know that to be able to win in the Rating Games and make a name for herself, she even decided to use the [King] Piece. I know that she is into young boys, which means she is a Shota-con. I know that she likes to make conspiracy theories for fun¡ I know that she¡¡¯ Seir¡¯s distracting thoughts about his elder sister were cut short by Sephie¡¯s words as she continued, recalling her younger days, ¡°Yes¡ by simply staring at the boundless night sky, all the worries in my heart would disappear and I would feel refreshed¡¡± ¡°I see¡¡± mumbled Seir which was followed by a minute of silence as the two continued to stare at the artificial night sky. After a minute of silence, Sephie gently lifted Seir and made him sit on her lap, ¡°Mother?¡± Caressing his hair lovingly, Sephie asked, ¡°What¡¯s troubling you Seir?¡± ¡°What makes you think that something is worrying me, Mother?¡± questioned Seir as he raised his head to look at Sephie. Sephie chuckled, ¡°Because an apple doesn¡¯t fall far from the tree¡¡± ¡®That¡¯s one way to put it,¡¯ thought Seir before returning his gaze back to the scenery before him, he hesitated for a moment, before sighing lightly, and answered, ¡°The future¡¡± Sephie was surprised, ¡°The future?¡± ¡°Yes, the future¡¡± nodded Seir. Sephie asked, tilting her head, ¡°Aren¡¯t you too young to worry about something like the future?¡± Seir tilted his head, ¡°Am I?¡± Sephie nodded seriously, ¡°Yes, you are¡ For Maou¡¯s sake, you are not even three years old.¡± ¡°Age is just a number mother¡¡± spoke Seir. ¡°Alright, that is borderline philosophical¡ where did you learn that statement?¡± Sephie was very curious about the source of Seir¡¯s statement and asked, ¡°Did Roygun teach you that? No, if it¡¯s her, she¡¯d never say something like that¡ hmm¡ well, I wonder¡¡± ¡°Read it in a book¡¡± answered Seir, and asked, ¡°But it is correct, right?¡± Instead of giving Seir an answer to his question, Sephie spoke, ¡°It appears that I need to find you some friends your age.¡± ¡°Am I in need of friends now?¡± asked Seir. He didn¡¯t think he was in need of friends this early, especially not of his age. ¡°Yes, you do¡ At this age, the things you should be worrying about are entirely different from the kinds of things you are worrying about, in fact, you shouldn¡¯t be worrying about anything, you should be carefree and have fun. But I guess I can¡¯t blame you for that, either, since you have always been overly mature for your age. Having a few friends around to play and spend time with will help you get over these worries, it will distract you from all that unimportant stuff that you probably keep nagging yourself with.¡± explained Sephie. ¡®Having friends might certainly be distracting from that kind of stuff, but that doesn¡¯t mean what I am thinking is unimportant. Okay, maybe a lot of it is unimportant, but I do need to seriously consider which Hollywood actresses are going to be part of my ¡®to-do¡¯ list, right?¡¯ After all, he has been reborn into an alternate version of Earth, and there seem to exist people of that Earth here. The existence of Putin, who worked as a Butler in his castle for a while, proves this. Since that¡¯s the case, Seir certainly has some plans to make his wet dreams concerning certain Hollywood celebrities a reality. And this stuff isn¡¯t unimportant, it¡¯s very important! ¡®I would much rather spend that time doing something (re)productive and train myself than play house with a bunch of Maou wannabes¡¡¯ thought Seir to himself, but he knew that telling this to Sephie was pointless, and she would only further worry herself, so he did not, ¡®The troubles that a caring mother faces when her son is such a troublesome guy.¡¯ Well, it would be wrong to say that Seir isn¡¯t interested in meeting these ¡®friends¡¯ of his age group. As far as he thinks, they had to be the young devils of his age, which can only mean ¡®them.¡¯ A part of him looked forward to meeting them, though he had to take into account that he might have to babysit children now. Of course, even if Seir agreed that he was a tiny bit interested in meeting these ¡®friends,¡¯ there was something else that occupied his mind. Reflecting to himself, he thought, ¡®I really need to hurry and finish mastering the Demon Language¡ It¡¯s been more than two years already since I started learning it, and I don¡¯t want to delay any longer¡¡¯ Chapter – 7 Belphegor’s Language Lessons A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld As the television buzzed with lively discussion, the commentators continued their conversation: [So, with Championship season fast approaching, Lord Asmodeus, who do you think is the most likely to win the championship?] [Well, as expected, the Champion is called the Champion for a reason. If there''s anyone to safely bet on for the Rating Game Championship, it can only be Lord Diehauser of the House of Belial, right?] [There you have it! Even one of the Four Maous, His Highness Falbium Asmodeus, believes Lord Diehauser of the House of Belial is the frontrunner for the upcoming Rating Game Championship!] In Seir¡¯s room, the voice of the television filled the air as he floated in midair, his bat-like wings unfurled and his hands neatly folded behind his back. Although his ears were perked up as he listened to the exchange between Reinar Phenex of the House of Phenex and Falbium Asmodeus, the Maou Asmodeus, his real focus lay elsewhere. On the study table below him, a quill adorned with a small purple magic circle on its back and surrounded by a soft purple glow moved autonomously across an open notebook, diligently transcribing the televised conversation into an intricate script of peculiar symbols and characters. The dialogue on the television carried on, and the pen mirrored every word, gliding smoothly and uninterrupted. Only when the broadcast ended did the pen come to a halt, resting motionless atop the notebook as silence returned to the room. Once the conversation ended, Seir descended gracefully and landed on the chair. Standing atop it, he picked up the notebook and skimmed through the transcribed content. After a moment of reading, he nodded to himself with satisfaction. ¡°Yes, this is good¡¡± he murmured before turning his gaze toward the window. Beside the window, Roygun sat leisurely in a chair, sipping her coffee. Noticing Seir holding the notebook and looking in her direction, she raised an eyebrow and asked curiously, ¡°How is it?¡± ¡°Hehe¡¡± Seir grinned brightly as he flew over to Roygun with the notebook in hand, placing it on the coffee table in front of her. ¡°Take a look for yourself!¡± he said eagerly. ¡°Alright, let¡¯s see¡¡± Roygun nodded, setting down her coffee cup. She picked up the notebook and began reading the transcribed text. For a full minute, she silently read while Seir waited in excited anticipation, his eyes fixed on her. After finishing, Roygun set the notebook down and looked at him. ¡°Well, the handwriting could use a little refinement¡ but¡¡± She paused, her lips curving into a warm, beautiful smile as she nodded in approval. ¡°You¡¯ve transcribed everything perfectly. Congratulations, little brother¡ªyou¡¯ve officially mastered reading and writing in the Demon Tongue!¡± ¡°Hehe¡ I finally did it!¡± Seir grinned, his happiness radiating from him. ¡°Come here¡ I will give you a reward¡¡± said Roygun, holding him and kissing him on the forehead, proudly declaring, ¡°My little brother is truly a genius¡¡± "Am I really a genius?" Seir sighed. Contrary to Roygun feeling proud of him, he was clearly disappointed. "It took me nearly two and a half years to reach this level... isn''t that a bit too long? Honestly, I was hoping to learn how to read and write properly before I turned one year old in human¡¯s sense of time." Indeed, Seir felt disappointed with his progress. He started learning the Demon Tongue at just seven months old, and now, a little over three years of age, he''s achieved some degree of fluency in reading and writing. It took him more than thirty months of relentless effort while dedicating almost all his time to mastering the complexities of the language to reach this point. Two and a half years to master reading and writing a language... isn''t that progress a bit too slow? Roygun blinked in surprise at Seir¡¯s doubtful reaction to being called a genius. She smiled and said, ¡°Being too greedy isn¡¯t always a good thing, you know.¡± ¡°Huh? What do you mean, Roygun?¡± Seir asked, looking confused. Roygun chuckled and explained, ¡°At just three years old, you¡¯ve already mastered reading and writing. Do you realize how impressive that is? Most children your age can¡¯t even recognize their alphabet. They typically start learning to read and write around six years old. Even children from High-Class noble families, while starting earlier than others, don¡¯t reach your level of fluency at such a young age. Just look at me¡ªI didn¡¯t begin learning the alphabet until I was over five, and it took me nearly twelve years to reach your level of fluency. And now you¡¯re telling me you¡¯re not happy with your progress? You¡¯re making me feel like I¡¯m slow for taking that long when, in actuality, I was quite fast!" ¡°Uh¡ well, if you put it that way¡¡± Seir was left speechless by Roygun¡¯s response. While he was surprised to learn that it had taken Roygun more than a decade to master what he had accomplished in just two and a half years, he still wasn¡¯t sure if he could truly be considered a genius for it. After all, Roygun was a child when she started learning the language, and she might have been less diligent in her studies, considering her somewhat lazy demeanor as a Belphegor quite known for their sloth. In contrast, Seir was mentally an adult and had been very focused on learning. Surely, there has to be a significant difference in how long it takes a child to learn a language versus an adult, right? As this thought crossed his mind, Seir suddenly had a question and asked, ¡°Roygun, how long does it take for Reincarnated Devils¡ªwho were formerly humans and already had a solid educational foundation¡ªto master fluency in the Demon Tongue?¡± ¡°Hmmm¡ how long does it take for a human-turned-devil to achieve fluency in the Demon Tongue?¡± Roygun muttered with a frown before asking, ¡°Why do you even want to know that? Would that be of any help to you?¡± Seir quickly shrugged it off, replying, ¡°Just curious¡¡± The real reason he asked was to estimate how long it would take a reincarnated devil¡ªsomeone who is already fluent in another language¡ªand compare that to his own progress. By doing so, he could gauge whether his learning speed was really as fast as Roygun believes. After all, quite a few reincarnated devils are adults, and many of them ought to have a solid educational foundation. His situation¡ªbeing an adult learning the Demon Tongue¡ªwas similar to theirs. ¡°Well, if you''re curious...¡± Roygun began thoughtfully, ¡°I''m not entirely sure, but I do have a friend from the House of Mammon who¡¯s a human turned into a Devil. He had a solid educational background even before becoming a devil. I¡¯m not sure how long it took him to master the Demon Tongue, but if you want, I can ask him.¡± ¡°From the House of Mammon? Is it Lord Rudiger Rosenkreutz?¡± Seir asked, pondering who Roygun¡¯s friend might be. ¡°Mm-hmm, that''s him,¡± Roygun nodded, then added, ¡°Should I ask him?¡± ¡°No, forget it,¡± Seir replied, shaking his head. ¡°I was just a little curious, but not enough to have you contact him for an answer over something so pointless.¡± ¡°Are you sure you don¡¯t want to know?¡± Roygun asked. ¡°Mm-hmm¡¡± Seir nodded. At the end of the day, it didn¡¯t really matter how long it took him to master fluency in the Demon Language. Sure, he was a little disappointed that it took him two and a half years, but when he considered that the Demon Language could easily be classified as a Grade V language¡ªa language much more complex than some of the most complex languages like Mandarin or Arabic both of them are considered to be Grade IV languages¡ªit didn¡¯t seem so disappointing. Taking into account that the Demon Tongue consists of over two hundred thousand individual characters¡ªmore than twice the number found in Mandarin, the language with the most characters in the human world. Of these, approximately fifty thousand characters are commonly used, meaning that achieving basic fluency requires familiarity with and memorization of this extensive set. Accomplishing such a feat in just two and a half years is indeed no small task. A part of him is genuinely surprised that he managed to achieve something so extraordinary in such a short time, considering it takes most Devils decades to reach this level of proficiency. In fact, the reason Seir was able to memorize over fifty thousand characters in such a short time lies in the creation of a custom memorization spell. Yes, when faced with the daunting task of having to memorize such an immense amount of information, he chose to leverage magic to its fullest potential. By combining his power of imagination with his demonic energy, as the Devil¡¯s Magic System requires, Seir devised a custom memorization spell, much like how Hy¨d¨ Issei famously created his infamous Dress Break spell and used it to memorize stuff. Of course, the functionality of this custom memorization spell isn¡¯t limited to simply memorizing information; it also enables Seir to quickly recall details he might have read, watched, heard, or noticed decades or even centuries ago. Naturally, its primary purpose was to help him accurately recall the plot of DxD, in as much detail as possible, a goal he had successfully achieved. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. How did Seir create his own custom spell? With nearly three years of experience using magic, guidance from Roygun, and an understanding of how the Devil¡¯s magic system works, it¡¯s no surprise that he was able to create his own custom spell even at such a young age. So, yes, Seir created his Custom Memorization spell and used it not only to achieve his goal of recalling the plot of DxD, which was already stored somewhere in his memories but also to memorize the fifty thousand characters required to learn the Demon Tongue. Now, despite creating the memorization spell to make things easier, Seir still faced another problem long before feeling the need to develop the custom spell in order to learn the Demon Tongue. This was an issue he encountered during the first few months of learning to read and write in the Demon Language. The issue was that everything he heard and read was automatically translated into a language he was more familiar with, which made adjusting to the Demon Language difficult. In fact, for the first few months, Seir even started to doubt whether mastering the Demon Language was possible for him, considering his internal translator, or whatever it was, was always active. Since everything was automatically translated, whatever Roygun read to him from the book was perceived by him in the language he was most familiar with, which was a bit of a pickle because he tried to read the same content, he couldn¡¯t recognize any character nor the sound associated with them even though Roygun had just read it to him. This inbuilt translation feature made learning the Demon Language difficult for him as it was hindering his ability to fully immerse himself in the language. To learn a language, one must fully immerse themselves in it¡ªhearing it, speaking it, reading it, and writing it. Only then can they achieve fluency. However, if for some reason you can¡¯t hear the language and always hear it in a language you¡¯re familiar with, that becomes a problem. For example, if you want to learn to say, ¡®I love Milfs,¡¯ in French, you need to be able to hear ¡®I love Milfs,¡¯ in French as, ¡®J¡¯adore les milfs.¡¯ But if you always hear someone say or read ¡®J¡¯adore les milfs¡¯ as ¡®I love Milfs,¡¯ you will never be able to hear the French translation of ¡®I love Milfs.¡¯ If you can¡¯t hear that ¡®I love Milfs,¡¯ translates as ¡®J¡¯adore les milfs¡¯ in French, you¡¯ll never be able to speak, read, or write ¡®J¡¯adore les milfs.¡¯ All you¡¯ll say is, ¡®I love Milfs.¡¯ Now, to a French speaker, your ¡®I love Milfs¡¯ may sound like ¡®J¡¯adore les milfs,¡¯ but that doesn¡¯t change the fact that what you spoke is ¡®I love Milfs,¡¯ not ¡®J¡¯adore les milfs,¡¯ and the language you are speaking is English, not French! Although Seir was aware of the problem he was facing, he had no solutions in mind. He couldn¡¯t just tell Roygun, ¡°I¡¯m actually an English speaker, and everything you''re saying sounds like English to me, not the Demon Tongue.¡± That would definitely raise questions about why he was hearing everything in English. At that time, he didn''t even know he had been reborn in an alternate version of Earth. For all he knew, he had been reborn as a demon in a strange world with a violet-tinted sky. He wasn¡¯t sure if English as a language even existed there¡ªno one around him spoke it. If he had told Roygun that he was speaking a language completely unfamiliar to her, she would¡¯ve surely wondered why a baby was speaking a language no one else knew, one she had never heard before. It could have led to a lot of trouble for him. While he wouldn¡¯t have been branded as a demon¡ªsince he already was one¡ªhe might have had to explain his memories of his previous life and other details he wanted to keep private. So, even though Seir had no idea how to solve the issue, he chose to stay quiet, kept working hard even if he wasn¡¯t making much progress, and continued to look for another solution. Thankfully, Seir was still under a year old at that point, and Demon Tongue is an incredibly difficult language¡ªso difficult, in fact, that even Roygun had taken more than a decade to master it. Because of this, she didn¡¯t question why he wasn¡¯t making much progress and continued to teach him. It wasn¡¯t until he realized he was in the DxD universe and discovered that Devils had a passive ability called ¡®Language¡¯ that he understood what this inbuilt translator thing was and why he had always been able to comprehend what others were saying even as a baby in a language he had no inkling to. This ability worked by automatically translating speech, allowing listeners to hear it in the language they were most familiar with and vice versa. Once Seir discovered that this was due to a passive ability of his Devil race, he realized he needed to find a way to temporarily deactivate it or at least limit it in some way such that he could hear and speak in the Demon language, even if he is not familiar with it while learning it. It took some time, but he eventually managed to find a way to temporarily limit the passive ability. Once that was done, he could finally actually start learning the language properly. So, although he says it took him two and a half years, in reality, it was closer to two years because the first few months were mostly a waste of time. But honestly, that wasn¡¯t important. What mattered was that he had now achieved fluency in the Demon language, and nothing could change that. The amount of time it took others to master the same language didn¡¯t matter either, as it didn¡¯t affect his progress in the slightest. He didn¡¯t want Roygun to worry about something like that. The fact that she had patiently taught him for the past two and a half years was more than he could have ever asked for. ¡°Well, if that¡¯s the case, forget it,¡± Roygun said, dropping the topic. She then added, ¡°But let¡¯s not be too humble. Let¡¯s accept the praise from your older sister, shall we?¡± ¡°Alright¡¡± Seir nodded, then added, ¡°It¡¯s all thanks to you for taking the time to teach me. Thank you, Roygun, not only for helping me learn how to read and write but also for teaching me how to use Memorization Magic and Telekinetic Magic. If you hadn¡¯t taught me these two magics, I wouldn¡¯t have progressed as quickly as I did!¡± Indeed, in addition to teaching Seir how to read and write and helping him develop his Custom Memorization Magic, Roygun had also introduced him to Telekinetic Magic. It was through these magics that Seir made significant progress. Now, some might wonder, Memorization Magic being used in learning the language makes sense, but how did learning Telekinetic Magic help him with reading and writing in the Demon Script? Well, it wasn¡¯t a direct link, but it certainly helped indirectly. To learn a language, writing in the said language is crucial. However, how could a baby with small arms write? It wasn¡¯t a matter of lacking physical strength¡ªSeir had plenty of that¡ªbut his tiny fingers couldn¡¯t properly grip a pen, pencil, or quill, making writing incredibly challenging. When Seir was struggling and didn¡¯t know what to do, Roygun came up with the idea of using telekinetic magic to handle the writing part. Seir really liked the idea of using Telekinetic Magic to write and quickly embraced it as Roygun taught him. Since he had been using elemental magic since infancy and had already developed a Custom Memorization Magic, learning Telekinetic Magic wasn¡¯t all that difficult. Magic, Devil¡¯s magic in particular, after all, is driven by imagination and the consumption of demonic power. Having spent months practicing elemental magic as a baby, Seir had developed a strong imaginative skill, so moving the quill telekinetically using the power of imagination and demonic power under Roygun¡¯s guidance wasn¡¯t particularly challenging. The difficult part was making finer, more precise movements with the quill, which was essential for writing characters. At first, the script he wrote using telekinetic control was barely readable. However, after more than two years of practice, his control improved significantly, and he was able to write much more legibly. In fact, the transcription of the earlier conversation on television between the second son of the House of Phenex and the Maou Asmodeus, which he showed to Roygun, was also done by him using telekinesis magic to control the quill. Although Roygun remarked that his handwriting still needed some refinement, it was already far better than when he had started. In the past two and a half years, Seir hadn¡¯t just learned to read and write in the demonic language; he had also mastered telekinetic magic to the point where he could write effortlessly using it. This was all thanks to Roygun, who had dedicated her time to teaching him. Despite her incredibly busy schedule, filled with Rating Games and her responsibilities as the Head of the House of Belphegor, she took it upon herself to help him. Without her guidance, Seir knew he wouldn¡¯t have made the progress he had, and for that, he was deeply grateful. "Anything for my little brother..." Roygun smiled softly, ruffling his hair affectionately. Seir closed his eyes with a gleeful smile, savoring the gentle caress on his head. ¡®This feels amazing¡ªI could definitely get addicted to it,¡¯ he thought. Indeed, having someone lovingly caress your head is both comforting and undeniably addictive. Roygun, well aware of how much Seir enjoyed having his hair caressed, never missed an opportunity to indulge him. Watching his delighted smile, she chuckled inwardly, ¡®Fufufu, Operation ¡°Help Out My Little Brother, Deepen Our Bond, and Make Precious Memories¡± was a total success!¡¯ . . Somewhere else in the Castle Sephie engrossed in a book written in an unfamiliar language, suddenly sensed something unusual and blinked in surprise. "Ara? This is quite unexpected..." she murmured. Leaving a marker on the page she was reading, she set it down on the coffee table and clapped her hands. At that moment, a yellow magic circle materialized on the table, and from it emerged a small projection of a woman. The woman had long, curly brown hair and violet eyes, and she was dressed in an elegant aristocratic gown. Sephie smiled warmly at the projection. "Yes, this is indeed a surprise..." However, the projected woman wore a tense expression, her voice trembling as she mumbled, "Sephie..." Her tone was shaky, as though she was struggling to hold back tears. Noticing her friend''s distress, Sephie¡ªwho had anticipated a light-hearted conversation¡ªimmediately grew concerned. Her expression turned serious as she asked, "Is everything alright?" With a strained voice, the woman said, "There¡¯s something I need to discuss... but I can¡¯t speak about it through this projection." "I see," Sephie replied with a nod before adding warmly, "In that case, why don¡¯t we sit down for a cup of tea and reminisce about the past century?" ¡°That would be the best option¡¡± the woman in the projection agreed with a nod. ¡°Well then, I shall visi¡ª¡± Sephie began, but the woman interrupted her, saying, ¡°No, it would be best if I visit you instead.¡± ¡°Oh? Well, in that case, please do,¡± Sephie replied with a gentle nod, adding, ¡°I look forward to your visit.¡± ¡°Yes, I shall do that,¡± the woman said, preparing to disconnect the communication. However, Sephie suddenly recalled something Roygun had mentioned and quickly interjected, ¡°Wait¡ if I remember correctly, you have a son, don¡¯t you?¡± The woman froze momentarily before responding tentatively, ¡°Yes?¡± Sephie noticed an odd shift in the woman¡¯s tone at the mention of her son but chose not to push further over the communication link. With a warm smile, she said, ¡°He should be around three or four years old by now, isn¡¯t that right?¡± ¡°Uh¡ yes?¡± the woman replied, her frown deepening. Hearing the woman¡¯s response, Sephie clapped her hands together in excitement and said, ¡°Well then, why don¡¯t you bring your son along? I¡¯ve been meaning to introduce a friend around my son¡¯s age to him, and your son would be perfect!¡± The woman paused for a moment before nodding. ¡°I see¡ Alright, I¡¯ll bring Sairaorg with me.¡± Sephie¡¯s smile brightened with delight. ¡°That would be wonderful.¡± The two talked a little more, discussing when exactly she would be visiting the Belphegor Castle. Sephie found it rather odd that the woman wasn¡¯t planning to visit immediately and instead needed to schedule an appointment for a later date. However, she chose not to mention it, understanding that something might be preventing her old friend from coming right away. ¡°Well then, I look forward to our tea time together. I¡¯ll make sure to personally prepare some cakes to go along with tea!¡± said Sephie already thinking of the cakes she is going to prepare for the tea. ¡°As do I,¡± nodded the woman. With their meeting settled, the woman¡¯s projection disappeared along with the magic circle. Sephie reached for her book, intending to return to her reading, but suddenly froze as a realization hit her. ¡°Ah¡ I completely forgot! Etiquette! Seir needs to learn proper etiquette for nobles before Misla arrives with her son!¡± Chapter – 8 Here Comes the Friend Check out P-a-t-r-e-o-n Page to read advanced Chapters at NovaChronus. . . A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld ¡°Mother¡ is today the day the guests come over? Who are they?¡± asked Seir while staring at the geometric and intricate patterns etched on the stone floor that represented a Teleportation Magic Circle. Seir knew that guests were coming to their castle, but he had no idea who they might be. However, considering he was dressed differently than usual and even had to go through some etiquette lessons, it was clear that the visitors were quite important. ¡°Yes, sweety, they¡¯ll be coming over today. She is an old friend of mine whom I haven¡¯t met in ages¡¡± answered Sephie, adding, ¡°She also happens to have a child around your age. Hence I invited her¡ Be good to that child, alright?¡± ¡°I understand, mother¡¡± nodded Seir. Internally, he couldn¡¯t help but think, ¡®Someone around my age? Who could it be?¡¯ curious as to who the lady and her child were, and wondered, ¡®Is it going to be someone from the DxD Canon?¡¯ Despite living in the Underworld of Draconic Deus for over three years, Seir hadn¡¯t met anyone except Roygun from the Canon. Therefore, he is naturally somewhat eager to meet the other so-called canon characters and is looking forward to seeing if the person coming through the Teleportation Magic Circle is someone from Canon. Suddenly, Sephie spoke, ¡°They are here¡¡± As her words echoed, the Magic Circle etched on the floor began to glow with a radiant golden light. Seir could sense a surge of Demonic Power emanating from the circle, meaning, someone was attempting to teleport themselves to the Belphegor Castle. In a swift moment, the golden aura intensified, growing brighter and brighter until it enveloped the entire hall in a dazzling golden light. Then, as if on cue, it vanished abruptly, revealing three figures standing on the Magic Circle: a beautiful young woman with flowing brown hair and mesmerizing purple eyes, accompanied by a young child with black locks & violet eyes, and a young maid standing behind the two. ¡®She is¡¡¯ Seir¡¯s eyes widened. Among the three people, he felt that the beautiful young woman with long brown hair was somewhat familiar. ¡®Is it really her?¡¯ thought Seir. Seir¡¯s doubts were answered when Sephie stepped forward to greet the woman with brown hair, ¡°Welcome to the Belphegor Castle¡ Lady Bael.¡± ¡®Lady Bael? This should be enough of a cue to confirm that she really is who I think she is¡¡¯ "I feel a bit strange being addressed as ''Lady Bael'' by a dear friend of mine...¡± The woman expressed her dissatisfaction and requested, ¡°Since we are not at a social gathering or any formal event, can we not return to the way we used to address each other? I would be very happy if you were to continue calling me by my name..." Hearing the woman''s request, Sephie fell silent for a moment, a contemplative expression crossing her face. Then, a gentle smile graced her lips as she nodded. "Very well then..." and both women lightly brushed their cheeks against each other while simultaneously making a kissing sound, ¡°Misla¡¡± ¡°Sephie¡¡± and exchanged a heartfelt greeting, ¡°It¡¯s good to see you after such a long time¡¡± ¡®Mother called her Misla, huh? So, I was right¡ she really is Misla Bael.¡¯ If it was before developing his custom magic, Seir might not have recognized her, but ever since developing his Memorization magic to refresh all his memories from his past life, everything was crystal clear. With that, he easily identified the woman from her brief appearance in the anime. ¡®Since she is the first wife of the Great King Bael, and that would mean he is¡¡¯ Seir''s mind raced with realization as he stole a glance at the young boy, who stood a step behind the First Lady of Bael before returning his gaze back to his mother and Misla Bael. "Come, Misla¡ allow me to introduce you to my son¡" Sephie beckoned Misla with a warm smile before turning to Seir. "Come here, darling¡" Responding to his mother''s call, Seir stepped forward, bowed respectfully to Lady Bael, and then requested Misla''s hand, which surprised her a little, but she complied. Taking hold of her hand, Seir pressed his lips to the back of her hand, and politely greeted her, "It''s an honor to meet you, Great Queen Bael, I am Seirios Vandegor Belphegor, heir to the House of Belphegor. People close to me call me Seir, I request you to do the same¡ and might I add that you look mesmerizing¡" "Why, thank you, dear, what an adorable child you are¡" Misla responded with a pleasant smile, extremely surprised to witness such a refined greeting from such a young child, ¡®How old is he? Three?¡¯ She couldn¡¯t help but think to herself, ¡®No doubt about it¡ he is Sephie¡¯s son. At an age when children hardly even understand the meaning of grace and manners, this boy before is already making such a refined greeting!¡¯ It is said that first impression defines one¡¯s persona in the minds of others. By making that refined greeting at such a young age, Seir had left a very good impression on Misla Bael, and she¡¯d probably never forget their first meeting whenever they met the next time. Of course, noticing Misla¡¯s surprise, like a proud mother, Sephie puffed her chest up in pride, ¡®That¡¯s my Seir!¡¯ On the other hand, Misla smiled warmly and said, "Let me introduce you to my son as well. He''s only a year older than you." At Misla''s words, Sephie and Seir turned their attention to the child standing behind her. ¡®The Lion King of the House of Bael,¡¯ Seir thought to himself. He couldn''t deny his excitement at the prospect of meeting the devil who would go on to become the strongest youth of their generation. Unable to contain his anticipation, Seir extended his hand, "Hello, I am Seirios Vandegor Belphegor, just call me Seir or Seirios. It''s nice to meet you¡ um?" It''s a pity that, unlike Seir, the future strongest youth did not seem too enthusiastic. He stared at the outstretched hand of the long, white-haired boy for a moment. Instead of returning the greeting with a handshake, he attempted to hide behind his mother, which left Seir feeling surprised and awkward. ¡®He really seems quite different from the way I remember him from the Canon.¡¯ The First Lady of Bael gently encouraged her son, "Come on, Sai... don''t keep little Seirios waiting. Return the greeting." Misla then turned to Seir with a kind smile. "He''s a bit shy, so please don''t mind him." "That''s quite alright, Lady Bael," Seir nodded understandingly as he patiently waited for the strongest youth to shake his hand. Misla once again turned to her son, and spoke with a gentle and encouraging tone, "Go on, Sai..." With his mother''s encouragement, the future strongest youth hesitated for a moment before mustering the courage to take a step forward and reciprocate the handshake. "It''s¡ it''s nice to meet you as well. I am Sairaorg from the House of Bael." ¡®As I thought... the younger Sairaorg is indeed different compared to the Sairaorg Bael I remember,¡¯ Seir mused silently. The Sairaorg before him appeared rather timid and unconfident, a stark contrast to the Sairaorg in the canon who exuded outgoing confidence and charisma. Watching her son and the heir of Bael exchange greetings, Sephie smiled lightly to herself. ¡®That''s a good start...¡¯ she thought, pleased to see the interaction between the two children. She then turned to her son with a gentle smile and spoke, "Seir... Sairaorg''s mother and I need to catch up on old stuff. Would you be willing to show little Sairaorg around the castle and play with him?" Although Seir was curious about the things that Sephie and Misla wanted to catch up on, he didn¡¯t mind accompanying Sairaorg either, and nodded dutifully, "Of course, Mother." He then turned to the young devil in front of him. "Alright then Sairaorg, come with me. I will show you around the Belphegor castle. You''ll love it!" This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. The boy in question glanced at his mother for permission who nodded lightly, ¡°Go on¡¡± Upon receiving a nod in return, he followed after Seir along with ¨¦lise and the maid from the Baels accompanying them. . . After delicately savoring the taste and aroma of the tea, Sephie gently placed her cup upon the saucer and began, "Very well, let us address the matter at hand. Your request to meet me¡ What precisely is troubling you, Misla?" Misla Bael hesitated, twirling her fingers uncertainly. She was grappling with the choice in front of her¡ whether to voice out her thoughts or just stay silent and let things happen as they were. Sephie observed her internal struggle silently, sipping her tea as the tension hung in the air. Finally, the first lady of the Bael couldn''t contain herself any longer and let out a sigh. "Sairaorg... he did not seem to have inherited the Power of Destruction." The teacup halted in Sephie''s grasp in mid-air as her eyes widened in disbelief. "Are you serious, Misla?" she questioned in shock. For a moment she could not believe what she heard and doubted her ears. With an expression fraught with anxiety, Misla shook her head. "How could I ever joke about something so crucial?" she replied. "He truly did not seem to have inherited the Power of Destruction. But it''s not just that... He lacks any trace of demonic power whatsoever. He... he doesn''t have it at all!" "Are you sure...? How can you be so certain?" questioned Sephie, setting her teacup down with a gentle clink against the table. Misla struggled to find words. "Lord Vizel¡ Lord Vizel confirmed through an examination.¡± Sephie tilted her head in confusion, ¡°What made Lord Bael want to conduct such an examination?¡± Misla sighed, ¡°Since the day Sai was born, he had lacked any traces of Demonic Power¡ Initially, we assumed that he would awaken his Demonic Power as he grew older, but that did not happen¡ To this day, Sai doesn¡¯t have an ounce of Demonic Power in his body. Meanwhile, Magdaran, his second son from his second wife, had already shown traces of possessing Demonic Power and the [Power of Destruction] despite being only an infant. Lord Vizel found the situation odd¡ He was starting to have doubts about Sai, so he took samples of Sai¡¯s blood and sent those for testing. And the results... the results were..." She trailed off, unable to bring herself to finish the sentence. "The results said that Sairaorg was not born with Demonic Power, and he also did not inherit the Bael¡¯s [Power of Destruction]?" Sephie murmured, her voice barely audible. Misla simply nodded in confirmation, her gaze fixed on the table between them as a heavy silence settled over the room. "I... I don''t know what to do..." her voice wavered with uncertainty, her distress evident. Suddenly, Sephie''s piercing gaze locked onto Misla''s eyes as she questioned, "Have you been unfaithful?" Misla recoiled her expression a mix of confusion and hurt "What?" For a moment, she did not understand what Sephie meant, but as she did realize; she exclaimed in disbelief. "No!" she quickly asserted, ¡°No! How could you even think that?¡± ¡°Well, you can¡¯t blame me for having doubts, it is a natural conclusion to be drawn under these circumstances,¡± Sephie shrugged. If Misla had been unfaithful toward Vizel, sharing the bed with another man, and Sairaorg was the product of that unfaithfulness, then it would make sense for him to not have inherited the [Power of Destruction] of the Bael. Shaking her head vehemently, Misla retorted, "I have only ever been with Vizel, Never in my life have I been bedded by anyone else! Sai is our son... the test results confirm it as well!" "If that¡¯s the case, then why?" Sephie mumbled in disbelief, her brow furrowed with doubt. If she hadn''t been unfaithful to Vizel, and Sairaorg was indeed their biological son, so it¡¯s very strange that he did not inherit [Power of Destruction]. What¡¯s even more peculiar is that Sairaorg doesn¡¯t possess even an ounce of Demonic Power. In Sephie¡¯s mind, Demonic Power is something inherent to all Devils¡ªwhether in small or large amounts, it¡¯s always present. For Sairaorg to lack it entirely raises a troubling question: can he even be considered a Devil at this point? "Look, I... I don''t know!" Misla sighed heavily, her worry etched into every line of her face. "I am worried, Sephie... I fear that Vizel and the other Elders of the Baels will not be willing to tolerate Sai for not inheriting the [Power of Destruction]. They¡ they¡.!¡± She was so horrified by the thought that she couldn¡¯t bring herself to finish her words. "They might try to silence him, huh?" Sephie murmured with a thoughtful expression. In the rigid hierarchy of the Baels, pride, tradition, and bloodline reigned above everything. Even as the eldest son of the Head of the House of Great King, Sairaorg''s inadequacy for not having any ounce of Demonic Power and not inheriting the [Power of Destruction] threatened to tarnish the very fabric of their prestigious lineage. To them, Sairaorg is nothing but a disgrace. The Baels, with their unyielding pride, would not tolerate such a disgrace, especially when it emanated from the bloodline of Great King Bael himself. Sairaorg''s very existence could be viewed as an affront to their family''s pride. Misla nodded solemnly, "Yes," her heart heavy with the weight of her son''s predicament as she softly added, "In fact, they have already begun to mistreat him, to cast their disdain upon him." Her voice faltered with emotion. "I... I can''t bear to see my son suffer like this. I can''t stand by and watch as they silence him for a mistake he never even made.¡± Her voice trembled with guilt as she spoke. "It wasn''t Sai''s fault that he didn''t inherit the Power of Destruction... He had no say in how he was born, in the traits he received." Her words were heavy with self-blame. "The fault lies with me... It''s my responsibility, my failure, for bringing him into this world without ensuring he inherited the Power of Destruction." Sephie''s heart went out to Misla, understanding the turmoil that gripped her as a mother. If it had been her own son, Seirios, facing such circumstances, she knew she would be consumed by fear for his safety and future. With a heavy sigh, she gently inquired, "Have you discussed this with the House of Vapula?" Misla originates from the Ducal House of Vapula, and her older brother currently heads the house. Sephie believed that seeking aid from the House of Vapula would be the wisest course of action in this delicate situation for her and Sairaorg. The first lady of the House of Bael nodded sadly. "The House of Vapula is hesitant to intervene in the internal matters of the Bael," she admitted. "They fear offending the Great King." The House of the Great King holds immense power and influence within the Underworld, and any interference by the House of Vapula in the internal affairs of the Baels could provoke serious repercussions. Misla''s elder brother, mindful of these risks, was understandably reluctant to take action that might offend the prideful Baels and escalate the situation further for the Vapula as well. "No surprise there... nobody wants to fight the Great King Faction... not even the Four Great Maous of this generation..." Sephie mumbled, her voice tinged with resignation. Twirling the teaspoon absentmindedly, she turned to Misla, "Well, what''s your purpose for visiting me? I mean, what do you expect from me?¡± Naturally, Misla wasn''t sharing these details with Sephie solely out of a need for pity. There was something else driving her, and Sephie couldn''t help but be curious about what that might be. "I need protection for Sai, and there are not many whom I can turn to for that... please, Sephie... I beg you..." pleaded Misla. Alone, she would not be able to protect Sairaorg, especially if there were threats of assassination looming. With the House of Vapula unwilling to interfere, she had to look beyond Bael & Vapula for help¡ perhaps even beyond the 72 pillars, and turn to the Extra Demon Households. Among the extra demon households, Belphegor stood out as a powerful and influential House second only to the Four Great Maous and the Baels. If the Belphegor were to provide protection to Sairaorg, Misla could finally rest assured. Rather than answering Misla, Sephie pondered for a moment before asking, ¡°Did you contact Venelana? She still holds significant influence on the House of Bael¡¡± Misla shook her head, ¡°No! Contacting the Gremorys might have backfired¡¡± In fact, she was considering turning to the Gremorys. They might have been a better option since the Gremorys have Venelana among them, who hailed from the House of Bael, and they also had the backing of Maou Lucifer and his close aide, Grayfia Lucifuge. However, the problem is that the Baels despise the Gremorys. Misla''s husband, Vizel Bael, in particular, hates Gremorys. Turning to them could have easily backfired, making Sairaorg¡¯s situation all the more difficult. Hence, Misla decided not to contact the Gremorys and seek assistance from the Belphegor instead. Although the Belphegors abstain from participating in Underworld politics, it would be a mistake to assume that they lack influence. As one of the seven original Demon Households, the House of Belphegor retains considerable sway even today, a position further bolstered by the achievements of its current head, Roygun Belphegor. Roygun, as the second-ranked competitor in the Rating Games, has brought significant prestige to the family name. Her success has made the Belphegors a household of renown, even without active involvement in political affairs. Given the House of Belphegor''s detachment from the Underworld¡¯s political machinations and its independence from the Great King Faction, it seemed like the ideal choice for Misla in her quest to secure protection for her son. With such intentions, she secretly contacted Sephie to request a meeting. Coincidentally, Sephie Belphegor was in search of a friend for her son, and Sairaorg happened to be around the same age. Thus, Sephie agreed to the meeting and extended an invitation to Misla to visit the Belphegor Castle for a cup of tea. In the face of Misla¡¯s plea for help, Sephie was also reluctant to intervene in the internal affairs of Bael and said, "I doubt I can be of great help in this matter...¡± She paused for a moment, her gaze fixed on Misla. "But I would also hate for my son to lose his first friend so early, and Sairaorg seems to be a good child¡" A smile graced Misla''s face at Sephie''s words. It was evident that Sephie''s concern extended beyond mere political considerations, and for that, Misla quickly expressed her gratitude, "Sephie... I thank you from the bottom of my heart..." "Save that for later... for now, tell me, do you have some plan as to how you are going to make things work out?" Sephie redirected the conversation to a more pressing topic. "I do have something in mind... I was hoping for the House of Belphegor to intervene in that regard," Misla replied. "Let''s hear it..." Sephie prompted, intrigued to hear Misla¡¯s thoughts. . . . A certain Castle ¨C somewhere in the Belphegor Domain, Underworld "Alright then Sairaorg, come with me. I will show you around the Belphegor castle. You''ll love it!" The boy in question glanced at his mother for permission who nodded lightly, ¡°Go on¡¡± Upon receiving a nod in return, he followed after Seir along with ¨¦lise and the maid from the Baels accompanying them. Seir and ¨¦lise then gave Sairaorg and the maid from the House of Bael a brief tour of the Belphegor Castle. Obviously, not all the places, specifically not important places that even he doesn¡¯t have access to for now because of his young age, but a few locations that are worth seeing. The gardens, the fountains, the lakes, the tapestry, the painting, the Library, the armory, the training arena, the roof, and a few other places until finally he led the young Bael to his personal quarters. ¡°Well¡ this is where all the Magic happens¡ and by magic, I mean absolutely nothing¡¡± said Seir with a shrug as he showed his room to Sairaorg. Sairaorg glanced around the room, noticing the large collection of books. Curious, he asked, ¡°Do you like books?¡± ¡°I guess?¡± Seir replied with a shrug, not entirely sure if he could say he genuinely liked books all that much. After all, his primary purpose for reading these books was to master reading the Demon tongue and, along the way, gather information about the Underworld. Sairaorg suddenly realized that having so many books in the room probably meant Seir could actually read them. ¡°Wait¡ can you already read all these?¡± he asked. ¡°Yes, I can read them,¡± Seir replied with a small grin, adding jokingly, ¡°Why else would I keep so many books in my room if I couldn¡¯t even read them?¡± ¡°R-right¡¡± Sairaorg nodded, coming to the realization that Seir must be able to read; it wouldn¡¯t make sense for him to have so many books in his room otherwise. ¡°What about you? Can you read the Demon Tongue?¡± asked Seir curiously. Sairaorg shifted uncomfortably in response to Seir¡¯s question, which was all the confirmation Seir needed to conclude that Sairaorg probably wasn¡¯t able to read fluently yet. As expected, Sairaorg, being an honest child, shook his head and replied, "No... not yet." This wasn¡¯t surprising, as children of Sairaorg¡¯s age were usually still in the early stages of learning to read. Given how intricate and complex the Demon Tongue is, it¡¯s no surprise that a four-year-old child wouldn¡¯t be able to read it fluently yet. Even for Seir, who possessed the soul and comprehension ability of an adult, it took nearly two and half years of dedicated effort to master reading and writing the language and achieve some degree of fluency. Expecting the same from a typical four-year-old would be unreasonable. Seir shrugged. "It''s not like I''m any good at it either," he said, downplaying his own skills a bit. Hearing Seir, Sairaorg¡¯s lips twitched, and he murmured, ¡°I see¡¡± Something within told him that Seir wasn¡¯t being honest so he didn¡¯t buy Seir¡¯s words. Seir¨Cwho was unaware of Sairaorg¡¯s doubts¨Cdecided not to linger on the language and move to another topic. But it hit him, ¡®Uh¡ what should I even talk about with him?¡¯ Having spent the past hour or so showing Sairaorg around the Belphegor Castle, the two of them have gotten somewhat comfortable for some small talk, though Seir himself has no idea how to interact with Sairaorg on a personal level. ¡®I did not consider it earlier, but, what am I supposed to do with him now that I have already given him a brief tour of the castle?¡¯ When it was time for Sairaorg to go, Sephie would send a message, but until then Seir would have to give company to Sairaorg. But the thought of spending time with Sairaorg also made him wonder, ¡®Am I supposed to play tag or something with him?¡¯ Seir did not have to face this question until now since there were only adults around him for the past three years, and while they were indeed a bit surprised upon noticing how different of a child he was from an average child in the Underworld, ultimately they did not care too much and just let him be, the supernatural world is as such, but Sairaorg is not the same as Seir; he is truly a child, and he is the first child Seir has met ever since he was reborn into Draconic Deus. Therefore, he has no idea what children of three or four are supposed to do. Okay, maybe he does have some idea, but he does not wish to partake in foolish, childish stuff that normal children of age three or four years do. ¡®If not the stupid childish stuff, then what else¡?¡¯ ¡®It is DxD and both of us are Devils¡ maybe he would be interested in it¡¡¯ With such a thought, Seir asked Sairaorg, ¡°Do you play chess?¡± Sairaorg shook his head, ¡°I haven¡¯t played it¡¡± ¡°Figures¡¡± Seir sighed. What was he thinking asking a four-year-old whether he plays chess? How could a four-year-old know how to play chess? While Seir can indeed teach Sairaorg chess, he felt that doing so would be a very tedious thing to do so decided against it. Shaking his head, he spoke, ¡°I guess it¡¯s tag then¡ because nothing else comes to my mind¡¡± then paused for a moment as if he realized something and questioned, ¡°You do know how to play tag, right?¡± Sairaorg shook his head, ¡°What¡¯s a tag?¡± Hearing Sairaorg¡¯s response, Seir blinked his eyes in surprise, ¡°You don¡¯t know how to play tag either?¡± This time Seir was genuinely surprised, after all, everybody knows how to play tag. Sairaorg seemed a little embarrassed, and apologized, ¡°I am sorry¡¡± ¡®Should I teach him how to play tag?¡¯ thought Seir. As per Seir¡¯s guess, the reason Sairaorg doesn¡¯t how to play a game as simple and widely popular as tag is probably due to not having any friends and playmates. The Bael maid watching over from a distance doesn¡¯t seem to be the kind of woman who would be interested in playing tag with her master. Shaking his head, Seir asked Sairaorg, ¡°Tell me something. What do you normally do at home?¡± ¡°I¡¡± Sairaorg was about to answer but Seir interrupted him. ¡°Forget it, I am not interested in knowing what you normally did at your home¡¡± Shaking his head, Seir continued, ¡°I will teach you how to play tag, and we will play tag.¡± Although learning what Sairaorg normally does at home could have been useful to better understand him and figure out his personality and other things, there is no point in doing that at this time since he is only a child. Besides, if Seir were to consider the fact that Sairaorg was born without any Demonic Power and [Power of Destruction], his life at the Bael Castle shouldn¡¯t be all Sunshine and rainbows. It would be depressing to hear all that, and what would he gain by understanding that? It¡¯s better to spend that time having some fun instead of hearing a depressing tale. ¡°Al¡ alright!¡± nodded Sairaorg, though he was a little disappointed that Seir had no interest in what he was about to say, since he is quite used to receiving such treatment, he wasn¡¯t offended. ¡°Let¡¯s change location¡¡± said Seir as he unfolded his wings and flapped them. ¡°You can fly, right?¡± ¡°Yes¡¡± nodded Sairaorg as he too unfolded his pair of bat wings and started flapping them. For Devils, the ability to fly does not have anything to do with their Demonic Power. After all, wings are simply organs and are not inherently tied to Demonic Power or magic, so it¡¯s no surprise that Sairaorg, despite not possessing an ounce of Demonic Power, can still fly. Though compared to Seir, Sairaorg seemed rather rough and not as graceful about it, which is also natural considering that he is only a child and doesn¡¯t have the control a mature mind can have. ¡°Follow me¡¡± Leaving these words, Seir flew out of the window. ¡°Coming!¡± nodded Sairaorg as he hurriedly followed after Seir. ¨¦lise and the maid from the Baels were naturally accompanying the two children. . . ¡°Now listen closely¡ The rules are fairly simple¡ One of us will be Denner whose role is to chase the other player. Suppose I am the denner, then I will chase after you until I succeed in touching you with my hand. If I succeed in touching you our roles will be reserved, you will be the denner, and you will have to chase after me and touch me with your hand. If I don¡¯t succeed then I will remain denner until I succeed. Flying is not allowed, that would make the game somewhat boring as it would become three-dimensional which is not interesting enough with just two players. Also, we will stay within this garden, stepping outside will be a foul and that would reverse our roles, attacking the other person, and the use of magic is also forbidden¡¡± After explaining the rules Seir questioned, ¡°Do you understand?¡± ¡°Yes, I got them¡¡± nodded Sairaorg, and questioned, ¡°But who will be the denner?¡± ¡°Since it¡¯s your first time playing tag, I don¡¯t mind being the first one to be the denner and chase¡¡± said Seir with a smile. This would give Sairaorg an opportunity to better understand what to do when he becomes a denner. Of course, this would also allow Seir to figure out Sairaorg¡¯s motor skills, speed, and endurance which will turn out to be useful when it¡¯s Sairaorg¡¯s turn to be the Denner. ¡°Okay¡¡± agreed Sairaorg. ¡°Alright then¡ let¡¯s start. I will count up to 10, you can use that time to distance yourself¡¡± Then he began to stretch his arms and legs while counting, ¡°1¡ 2¡ 3¡¡± As soon as Seir started counting, Sairaorg quickly turned around and started to run away. ¡°8¡ 9¡ 10¡ Ready or not, I am coming!¡± After speaking these words, Seir chased after Sairaorg at a speed you¡¯d not expect a three-year-old child to have. Even if he is only three years old at the moment, Seir is quite athletic for his age with good motor skills and agility because of his habit of not sitting still for longer durations, of course, having a Devil¡¯s stronger physique helps as well but Sairaorg has a Devil¡¯s body as well so not an exclusive advantage, regardless, Sairaorg certainly did not expect Seir to be this fast, he had to run at his top speed to not get caught, but even if he did, he, who is not a very athletic child with not that great motor skills, and definitely less intelligence than Seir was easily touched in less than a minute. Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. ¡°That was a bummer, I did not expect to be caught this easily and this fast¡¡± muttered Sairaorg with a pout. He was disappointed that he couldn¡¯t even hold on for a minute! ¡°Sometimes life doesn¡¯t go as per expectations¡¡± said Seir as he patted Sairaorg on the shoulder. Sairaorg was stunned, and questioned, ¡°Wh-what do you mean?¡± ¡°Nothing¡ I was just speaking to myself¡¡± smiled Seir and changed the topic, ¡°In any case, it¡¯s your turn now¡ Start counting until ten¡¡± ¡°Yes, I know¡¡± nodded Sairaorg and began the counting. ¡°1¡ 2¡ 3¡ 4¡¡± As soon as Sairaorg began counting, Seir grinned and distanced himself from the young Bael. Of course, he did not distance himself too much as that would ruin all the fun. A game is more enjoyable when the competition between two competing sides is or at least appears to be near equal. Too much of a gap in strength can often make things boring. During the first round when he was the Denner, Seir was able to get a general understanding of Sairaorg¡¯s speed. The young Bael¡¯s speed is inferior to his. It is surprising considering the powerful hunk he would grow up to be within the next fifteen years, but the current him is only a four-year-old child with nothing special about him except for his status as the heir to the House of Bael. ¡°7¡ 8¡ 9¡ 10¡ Ready or not, I am coming!¡± Once Sairaorg completed the counting up to ten, he chased after Seir. ¡°Come!¡± muttered Seir with a grin. The current him, who has been a very active child from the moment he was born, can quite easily outdo Sairaorg in terms of speed, and because he has the mind of an adult, this tag game is going to be owned by him, and it¡¯s not even going to be close. . . Thirty Minutes Later ¡°Haah¡ So? Tired already?¡± asked Seir as he looked at Sairaorg collapsed on the garden¡¯s grass. ¡°Haah¡ Haah¡ I¡ I¡ Haah¡ You¡¡± Sairaorg tried to respond but the panting between breaths made it somewhat difficult for him to speak. He was tired, sweaty, and disheveled. As for catching Seir? Although Sairaorg came close several times, he failed by a hair¡¯s breadth. ¡°Alright, let¡¯s take a time out¡¡± said Seir and instructed his maid, ¡°¨¦lise, please bring some refreshments for us¡¡± ¡°As you wish, Lord Seir,¡± nodded ¨¦lise, she then created a communication magic circle and requested one of the maids in the kitchen for some fresh Blue juice for both Seir and Sairaorg. While ¨¦lise was preparing refreshments, Seir approached Sairaorg and sat down beside him. Looking at Seir, who was clearly not as tired, breathless, and sweaty as him, Sairaorg could not help but ask, ¡°How¡ Haah¡ how are you¡ Haah¡ not tired?¡± ¡°It¡¯s because I train¡¡± responded Seir with a boisterous smirk. What he does cannot be considered actual training in his own books, but it might as well be training for the current Sairaorg, who probably does not do much physical activity. ¡°Train?¡± muttered Sairaorg in confusion. ¡°You don¡¯t know what ¡®training¡¯ means?¡± asked Seir in surprise. Sairaorg¡¯s reaction told him that he probably did not know what ¡®training¡¯ meant. ¡°Don¡¯t look at me like that¡ I know what ¡®training¡¯ means¡ I am not that dumb!¡± said Sairaorg trying to defend himself. In fact, he felt rather offended at Seir for thinking that he is too dumb, and added, ¡°It¡¯s just that I have never heard or seen anyone train¡¡± ¡°Oh¡¡± muttered Seir as if understanding the meaning behind Sairaorg¡¯s surprise. Training is an activity quite foreign to the people of the Underworld. Devils in particular are lazy and prideful beings, to them training is a waste of time as it doesn¡¯t make much sense. To Devils, racial talent makes more sense. As such, they believe that a low class will remain low class no matter how much he trains and a High Class will remain a High Class no matter how much he trains. Not only the status, but also the strength of a Devil is determined at the time of their birth, and rarely anyone ever goes against the norm. ¡®It¡¯s a pity that most Devil do not understand what they are missing by not training,¡¯ thought Seir while shaking his head. At this time ¨¦lise approached Seir and Sairaorg while carrying a tray in her hands, and presented a glass of Blue juice to both the children, ¡°Lord Seir¡ Lord Sairaorg¡ here, please have these refreshments, it will help you recover your energy.¡± ¡°Thank you, ¨¦lise,¡± nodded Seir as he took the glass handed to him by ¨¦lise and took a sip of the Blue juice. Sairaorg did the same, ¡°Thank you¡¡± Though he was a little shy. ¡®Was orange named orange after the color orange because it is orange in color, or was the color orange named orange because it is the color that the fruit orange has?¡¯ Perhaps it would have been better if the color orange remained geoluhread and the fruit remained narange as it was originally. But then again that wouldn¡¯t have changed anything about Blue. Yes, analogous to the fruit Orange in the human realm, blue is a fruit quite popular within the underworld, especially among the nobility. ¡®Meh¡ who cares.¡¯ Shaking his head, Seir decided not to think about pointless things and focus on enjoying the refreshing taste of the Blue Juice. After passing the refreshments, ¨¦lise bowed and retreated back; leaving Seir and Sairaorg alone. Both Seir and Sairaorg were sitting quietly as they drank the Blue Juice. Suddenly, Sairaorg questioned, ¡°Can you use it?¡± ¡°Use what?¡± asked Seir appearing to be a little confused. ¡°The Demonic Power,¡± responded Sairaorg and questioned again, ¡°Are you able to use your Demonic Power¡?¡± Understanding what Sairaorg was trying to ask, Seir responded truthfully, ¡°Yes, I can use it,¡± he could have gotten a bit overboard and told Sairaorg that he has been able to use his Demonic Power for as long as he can remember, but upon thinking it over he decided against it. ¡®Let¡¯s not rub salt over his wound¡ the boy is probably going through tough times.¡¯ ¡°I see¡¡± mumbled Sairaorg as his grip on the glass tightened. It was obvious that he was a little envious of Seir, but can anyone blame him? For someone who doesn¡¯t possess an ounce of Demonic Power to meet someone younger than him already capable of using that Demonic Power¡ In such a situation, if he isn¡¯t supposed to feel envious, then what else is he supposed to feel? After all, he too longs to be able to use Demonic Power¡ but¡ sometimes fate can be fickle. An uncomfortable silence appeared between the two and Seir did not know how to break this silence. Seir wasn¡¯t going to ask the same question from Sairaorg knowing full well that he is incapable of using his Demonic Power since he didn¡¯t have any Demonic Power from the moment he was born, which is something he probably knows already so, asking that question would be adding insult to the injury, and Seir did not want to do that. ¡®What to do?¡¯ But if not that, then what? Just as he was starting to wonder what are his options, Sephie and Misla arrived at the garden walking side by side and their arrival shifted Sairaorg and Seir¡¯s attention. ¡°Mother¡¡± spoke Seir as he got up and ran toward her with Sairaorg doing the same. ¡°What were the two of you doing here?¡± asked Sephie upon noticing the dirt and sweat on Seir and Sairaorg¡¯s clothes. ¡°We were playing tag¡¡± answered Seir. ¡°Oh¡¡± muttered Sephie, and questioned, ¡°Did you two have fun?¡± ¡°I guess?¡± responded Seir a little unsure as he glanced at Sairaorg from the corner of his eyes. Feeling Seir¡¯s gaze, Sairaorg nodded, ¡°It was fun¡¡± and added, ¡°Though I failed to catch you.¡± ¡°In that case, you should work harder the next time you two play tag, I am sure you will catch him,¡± encouraged Misla with a smile. She was happy to see her son have some fun and probably make a friend. ¡°I will¡¡± nodded Sairaorg, and this made Seir chuckle. Sairaorg frowned, ¡°What¡¯s so funny?¡± A sudden thought crossed his mind, and he asked, "Do you think I can''t catch you?" "Quite the opposite," Seir said, shaking his head. "I believe you''re the only one who can keep up with me, Sairaorg." Sairaorg furrowed his brow, looking confused. "What do you mean?" he asked. "Why don''t you figure that out for yourself?" Seir said with a sly grin. "Humph! I don¡¯t need to figure it out... I already know," Sairaorg said with a snort. "Oh? Is that so? Then pray, do tell¡ªwhat did I mean?" Seir chuckled. "That..." Sairaorg was left speechless, unsure of how to respond since he didn''t actually know what Seir meant. "Knew it... You don¡¯t know, do you?" Seir teased. "Whatever. I¡¯ll figure it out sooner or later," Sairaorg grumbled, glaring at him. Sephie and Misla smiled at their sons¡¯ interaction. After a short silence, Sephie spoke to Seir, ¡°It¡¯s almost time for Sairaorg to return home with his mother¡¡± Hearing Sephie¡¯s words, Sairaorg questioned his mother, ¡°Are we going back?¡± Misla nodded, ¡°Yes, we must return.¡± ¡°Okay¡¡± mumbled Sairaorg a little disappointed. Misla smiled and patted Sairaorg¡¯s head, ¡°Don¡¯t worry¡ you would have more chances of meeting with your friend.¡± ¡°Really?¡± asked Sairaorg. Misla nodded, ¡°Yes¡¡± . . As Misla, Sairaorg, and the maid from the House of Bael stepped onto the Teleportation Magic Circle, Seir cheerfully waved, saying, ¡°Goodbye, Sairaorg! See you at the Championship finals!¡± Sairaorg hesitated, fumbling with his words. ¡°Well¡ uh¡¡± Seir tilted his head in confusion and asked, ¡°You¡¯ll be there, right?¡± ¡°I¡ I¡ uh¡ I¡¡± Sairaorg stammered, unable to confirm. Noticing her son¡¯s hesitation, Misla smiled warmly and reassured Seir, ¡°Yes, Sairaorg will be there.¡± Internally, she resolved, ¡®I will make sure of it!¡¯ Seir beamed. ¡°Great!¡± He then turned to Sairaorg. ¡°Then see you next time.¡± Encouraged by his mother¡¯s brief nod, Sairaorg looked at Seir and said with determination, ¡°Yes, next time we meet, I will catch you.¡± Seir did not give a response to that, he only smiled. On the other side, as the glow of the Teleportation Magic Circle intensified, Misla spoke to Sephie, ¡°Well then, Sephie¡ I await for the day the Belphegor visit the Ba¡¯al.¡± Sephie responded with a hesitant look, ¡°Well, as I said, I will try to do what I can¡ but please don¡¯t expect much. It¡¯s Great King we are talking about, and this is an internal matter of the House of Bael, outsiders like me don¡¯t have much say in it,¡± She took a small pause and added, ¡°To be honest, I still recommend turning to Venelana and the Gremorys¡ and getting the Agares involved while you are at it. Although it is risky, I still think that things might turn out better for your case if Venelana, Lucifer, and Archduke get involved.¡± Misla hesitated for a moment before nodding, ¡°Alright, I will get in touch with her¡¡± She bowed lightly and then disappeared from the Magic Circle along with Sairaorg and the maid accompanying them. . . Bael Castle, Ba¡¯al ¨C the Capital City of Great King Bael Domain, Underworld As the golden light of the Teleportation Magic Circle disappeared, Misla, Sairaorg, and the maid following them stepped out of the magic circle only for them to suddenly come to a stop as they saw the man standing before them, and he stared at Misla in silence making the Great Queen nervous. Noticing the coldness in the man¡¯s violet eyes, the smile on Misla¡¯s face faltered, ¡°Vi¡ Lord Vizel¡¡± Sairaorg nervously bowed, ¡°Father¡¡± Vizel gave Sairaorg a look of contempt, ¡°Do not call me father. You are nothing but a defective, and I refuse to acknowledge a failure one such as you as my son.¡± Sairaorg¡¯s expression became downcasted. Misla tried to argue back, ¡°Lord Vizel, how¡ how can I say that to your own son!?¡± However she was shut down by Vizel, ¡°He is no son of mine!¡± Tears cascaded down Sairaorg¡¯s cheeks, but Vizel paid him no attention, and instructed the maid, ¡°Escort the boy to his room.¡± ¡°As you wish, my lord,¡± nodded the maid with a bow as she grabbed Sairaorg¡¯s hand and escorted him back to his room. The boy being led away cast a worried glance back at his mother, fear etched across his face at what she might endure. Unable to do anything to help, he clenched his fists tightly in frustration and anger. Once Sairaorg and the maid had left the hall, Vizel turned his attention to Misla, ¡°Have I not made myself clear that the boy will not step out of his room?¡± Misla tried to explain, ¡°But Lord Vizel¡ Sairaorg is a child, he needs to mak¨C!¡± Vizel continued, ¡°All he needs to do is stay out of people¡¯s eyes in order to not embarrass the Bael. If the other Pillars and the rest of the Underworld were to hear that the son of Great King Bael is a defect with no Demonic Power and [Power of Destruction], they would laugh at us¡ they would mock me¡! The Gremorys have already made a mockery of the Baels, and on top of them, I have to deal with that defective brat you birthed! Don¡¯t make my already complicated life any more difficult, there are certain things that even I don¡¯t want to have to do, so don¡¯t push me into doing them.¡± ¡°L¡ Lord Vizel¡ Sairaorg¡ please, just a little¡ªjust a small chance. Let him have friends¡ I am sure he will come around,¡± Misla pleaded desperately, her voice trembling. Hearing her plea, Vizel burst into mocking laughter. ¡°Hahaha! Let him have friends, you say? He doesn¡¯t deserve friends. He doesn¡¯t need friends. And who would even want to befriend a defect like that?¡± Misla shook her head desperately, her voice trembling as she tried to reason with him. ¡°No¡ no, that¡¯s not true. Everyone deserves friends, no matter how they are born. Just because Sairaorg wasn¡¯t born with Demonic Power or the [Power of Destruction] doesn¡¯t mean he doesn¡¯t deserve companionship.¡± A faint, tender smile graced her lips as she recalled the adorable white-haired boy Sairaorg had met earlier. ¡°In fact, Sairaorg¡ he made a friend today. Yes, he made a friend, and¡ and¡¡± Her voice faltered as she tried to hold back tears. But Vizel interrupted her coldly, ¡°I see¡ it was the Belphegors, wasn¡¯t it? I¡¯ll speak with their current head. I¡¯m certain even someone like her wouldn¡¯t want her little brother associating with a defect.¡± Misla''s face twisted in horror as she frantically shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. ¡°No¡ no¡ he just made a friend, and they even promised to watch the Championship finals together. Please¡ please don¡¯t take that away from him! Please¡ He is just a child!¡± Vizel remained silent, his expression unchanging as he stared at her with cold, unfeeling eyes. ¡°L¡ Lord Vizel¡ Do whatever you want to me¡ but¡ please don¡¯t treat Sairaorg like that¡ he¡ he is our¡ª¡± Misla¡¯s desperate plea was cut short. Vizel, his face twisted with fury, didn¡¯t even let her finish. Without hesitation, he raised his hand and struck her. Cha! The sharp sound of the slap echoed through the hall. Misla staggered, clutching the hem of her dress as a red mark began to form on her cheek. Breathing heavily, Vizel, in a cold and unyielding voice spat, ¡°That defect is not my son.¡± With those venomous words, Vizel turned sharply on his heel and strode away, leaving Misla behind. She crumpled to the floor, tears streaming down her face as she held her cheek, the sting of both the slap and his words cutting deeply into her heart. . . .
