《Ximbris: God of Fire》


 Chapter 1

    Ximbris and Kerantha walk through the portal that was opened by a Seratan whose special ability is to create gateways through dimensions, faraway locations, etc. This is a one way trip. Both Ximbris and Kerantha need to stay on Neptune indefinitely because the heat and flames that they will use to sustain the Zelterrans, will fade away once they leave Neptune. Neither of them are bothered by this fact since Seratans are immortal. The duo thanked their brethren as the portal leading to Jupiter closed. Kerantha shivered from the cold air on the planet. Finding her breath, she used her heat powers to warmed herself up, while Ximbris used his flames to light a path in the darkness. After walking some distance, the couple encounter multiple pair of yellow eyes staring at them. Tall, lanky creatures with pale white skin and a large shell on their backs that glows a variety of colors in the dark. They have three fingers on their hands and three toes on their their feet. As Kerantha got a closer look at them, she could tell that most of them were suffering from frostbite. Most of their forearms were black, while a good chunk of their legs are a dark blue color. Kerantha gave a concerned look look at Ximbris. Worried about the Zelterrans well-being. Ximbris understood her worries and reassured her that they will find a way to make life better on Neptune.

 Chapter 2

    The low temperature on Neptune is a problem. It is harmful to living organisms that have no way of keeping their bodies warm in a cold climate. And creating clothing for the Zelterrans to wear to protect themselves from the cold weather isn''t possible. Wild animals whose fur can be used to make coats don''t exist on Neptune. So the duo are having a hard time thinking of ways to use their abilities that will sustain the planet for generations. So Ximbris decides to take a walk around the planet. Hoping to find something that will help them complete their mission. Kerantha said that she will head back to the camp the Zelterrans are staying at. If she wonders off too far from them, their body temperature will drop again, causing the frostbite to return. Her heat powers lose their effectiveness once her distance is greater than 150 km. Ximbris and Kerantha shared a kiss on the lips and went their separate ways.

    While he was walking around Neptune, Ximbris kept feeling an odd sensation deep beneath the ground. He went to the spot where the sensation was the strongest. He placed his hand on the ground to get a better feel of it. Then, that''s when he figured it out what he was feeling. It''s heat! Its faint but he can still feel it. He could tell that there''s something generating heat from the the center of the planet. But he has no clue how to reach that spot. Ximbris marks the location with his flames and heads back to the camp to tell Kerantha and the Zelterrans about his discovery.

 Chapter 3

    "Of course there''s a heat source in the center of the planet. We put it there to make Neptune more habitable for our race. But when the Dolcans invaded this planet centuries ago, they damage the heat source to make us suffer the worst fate imaginable. Having our species die a slow, painful deaths. The abilities you both have can strengthen the heat source. You will need our shells to dig your way to the center. The heat source is very fragile now due to the core being severely damaged by the Dolcans'' raid. Which means that you two have to complete this task swiftly. What do you plan to do once you reach the center?" Said the Zelterran elder. Gazing directly at Ximbris''s eyes.

    "Once we reach the center, I will use my flames to increase the size of the heat source. While Kerantha will use her powers to strengthen the core and raise the temperature of my flames to change them into blue fire. Once we are done with this task, the temperature on Neptune should increase and the planet will become warm again. We can complete this task in a short amount of time because me and Kerantha spent seven years on Jupiter learning how to use our newfound abilities effectively. "Great! Let''s go the location you marked with your flames and do some digging!"

 Chapter 4

    The group arrived to the the location that Ximbris mark with his flames. The Zelterran elder removed his shell from his back and handed it over to Ximbris. Ximbris is worry that the digging will exhaust all of his stamina and energy. Which he needs to strengthen the heat source. Once he begin digging, he found it surprisedly easy to remove large chunks of the soil effortlessly. Glad that he will be able to reach the center without draining large amounts of his energy, he began to dig vigorously to get the the center. Carving out a path for him and Kerantha. I have reach the center. You can come down to join me. Kerantha heard the words Ximbris had communicated to her telepathically. She waved goodbye to her friends and joined her partner.


    "Wow! It looks pretty!" Kerantha said gazing at the heat source in front of her. The purple flames glittering brightly in the darkness. "Indeed it is. Though we didn''t came down here to admire these flames. Let''s combine our powers to make this heat source strong and resilient. So outside forces can''t disrupt and weaken it." Kerantha nodded her head in agreement.

    Ximbris cups his hands around the heat source and began to pour his flames into it. Causing the heat source to increase in size. Expanding as its being refueled by Ximbris''s flames. It stop expanding once it received a sufficient amount of fire from the Seratan. Ximbris collapsed to the ground once he completed his part of the task. Even though Kerantha is worry about her partner, she kept her mind focused on the task in front of her. She placed her hands on the core and apply large amounts of heat inside it. Increasing the temperature of the flames to change them into blue flames. Next, she used her powers to strengthen the quartz crystal containing the blue fire. Making it strong and durable. The end result looks magnificent! The blue flames glowing brightly inside the quartz crystal. Kerantha couldn''t take her eyes off of it. Finding the orb breathtakingly beautiful. Ximbris had the same thoughts as well while he look at the heat source in front of him. Finding the orb stunning to look at.

 Chapter 5

    "Let''s head back to the surface to see if our efforts had made a difference to the temperature of the planet." Said Ximbris as he stood up after resting for a bit. "I''m positive that our efforts has risen the temps on Neptune. Which means that our friends no longer have to endure the cold climate and watch loved ones die anymore. Let''s go! I''m excited to see the results of our actions!" Said Kerantha as she jump up and down with excitement. Ximbris smiled. Finding Kerantha''s words comforting to him. The couple began their ascent to the surface. Curious to Know what the Zelterrans fate will be.


    When the couple arrived to the surface, they felt the difference immediately. The air on Neptune feels warm and cool. The Zelterrans were overcome with joy. Grateful that they will no longer have to live in an environment that is freezing cold. The Zelterrans promised Ximbris that they will build statue to honor him for giving them flames that will continue their species. Ximbris felt embarrassed about being honor this way. But he doesn''t stop the Zelterrans from doing this because he can tell that the Zelterrans wanted to show their appreciation for wat he and Kerantha ave done for them. "I appreciate that. Me and Kerantha will help your species rebuild civilization on Neptune. We have have lots of work to do, so its best to get started now." The Zelterrans and Kerantha nodded their heads in agreement.

    The two Seratans and the Zelterrans build numerous tents around Neptune. So the Zelterrans will have a place to live in when the population grows. At the moment, the population of the Zelterrans race is 15. This is due to the fact that many of them die at a young age. Which cause a gradual decline of the population. And this made it difficult for the Zelterrans to function as a society, since there wasn''t enough Zelterran to fulfill the different roles that makes a society work. So the Seratans and the Zelterrans decided to wait for the population to increase, so they have enough hands to rebuild society. This will take a few centuries but that isn''t an issue for Ximbris and Kerantha. Since they''re immortals and the Zelterrans have exceptionally long life spans. They can live up to 1,200 years depending on their health. So the group waits. For the bright future ahead of them.

 Epilogue

    Once there was a decent amount of Zelterrans on Neptune, Ximbris and Kerantha begin to delegate tasks to a group of 50 Zelterrans. This was to prevent burnout and exhaustion amongst the Zelterrans. Each group work diligently to rebuild the civilization that was destroyed many years ago. When two centuries have passed, life on Neptune was transformed. There was houses, buildings, roads, cars, etc. There''s a large statue in the center of the city of Ximbris. To honor the God of Fire who used his flames to give hope back to the Zelterrans. The Zelterrans also build a shrine for Kerantha. For being a dedicated partner to Ximbris all these years. Female Zelterrans will come to the shrine to pray. Praying that they will find a male that''s loyal and loving like Ximbris. As the civilization on Neptune continue to thrive, Ximbris and Kerantha vowed that they will watch over the Zelterrans for all of eternity. Wanting to see their friends live a long and prosperous life on Neptune.
