《Be Mine (A Supernatural Yakuza Story)》 1 : Atatakai Kokoro (Warm Heart) Enjo was walking alone through a rundown neighborhood in Japan. He¡¯s 21 Years Old, and stands at 5¡¯9¡±. He also dresses oddly for the average person, with a black facemask, a jacket with a fur collar, red jeans, and sneakers. His hair was red, as well. The reason he looks strange is due to who he is. Enjo is the leader of a newcomer Yakuza Family named the Muho Kaji Family. It has 7 other Members named Fumetsu, Konchu, Taberu, Kireina, Chinmoku, Juryoku, and Julia. Their name wasn¡¯t well-known like other Families, as they had only formed a Year ago and haven¡¯t yet been very active in the Community, but something set them apart from the other families, aside from their relatively small size. They didn¡¯t do crimes to exploit the innocent. They certainly did some minor illegal things, but they never take advantage of the weak or innocent. In fact, it was Enjo¡¯s goal to one day be strong enough to take down those evil Yakuza Families to protect those people. But tonight, he was just heading home to his Apartment, ready to sleep. For they had big plans the following day. But just as Enjo was getting ready to enter the Apartment Complex, he heard a noise in the alley next to it. Curiosity got the better of him and he entered. He went behind the building, and saw what looked like some Thugs standing around a bag. He recognized their uniforms, they were from the Kage No O (King of Shadows) Family, the biggest and most threatening Yakuza Family in Japan. Of all the bad ones, they were the baddest, there¡¯s nothing they wouldn¡¯t do should their mysterious leader want it. Luckily, these guys were just low-level Thugs. No one to be concerned about. Still, Enjo didn¡¯t enjoy the idea of thugs around his Home, and so he approached. As he did, her heard them talking to each other. ¡°How much do you think we¡¯ll get for this?¡± One said. ¡°Orders came from one of the Executives.¡± Another replied. ¡°Rumor has it, it was orders from the Boss himself. I imagine it¡¯ll be a couple billion Yen.¡± ¡°For real? Man, it¡¯s gotta be important¡¡± The third one said. ¡°When we bring it in, we probably won¡¯t JUST get paid, I bet it¡¯ll be big promotions~¡± The three thugs noticed Enjo approach with his hands in his pockets. They were taken aback seeing him at first, but regained composure. One of the thugs walked up to him, pointing a bat at his face. ¡°Mind your own business, pal. This is Yakuza Business.¡± He said in a threatening tone. ¡°...What could be in that bag¡¡± Enjo asked. ¡°That would have you boys out here so late at night¡¡± ¡°None of your business, like he said.¡± One of the other Thugs replied, standing between Enjo and the bag. ¡°Beat it.¡± Enjo¡¯s eyes narrowed into a glare. He spoke a bit louder. ¡°I don¡¯t like criminals around my place.¡± He said. ¡°I suggest YOU lot beat it.¡± ¡°Why you¡!¡± The Thug said, rearing his baseball bat back to strike. ¡°I¡¯ll teach you to mess with the Kage-¡± Fast as lightning, Enjo reached up and grabbed the Thug¡¯s face. The Thug felt Enjo¡¯s palm rapidly get hotter, until¡a giant bust of Flames shot from it, scorching the Thug¡¯s head to nothing more than ashes! Enjo dropped the body down to the ground, and continued to walk forward. ¡°Shit!¡± One of the Thugs yelled, in shock. ¡°This guy¡¯s an Aura User!¡± The other of the two Thugs moved forward and kicked Enjo in the stomach, but to his surprise, he didn¡¯t move an inch! ¡°What is this guy made of?!¡± He thought to himself. ¡°It¡¯s like hitting one of those big truck tires!¡± This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. Enjo looked at the shoe print on his shirt and growled slightly. He then spun and roundhouse kicked the Thug, slamming his head against the wall! The Thug went limp and slid down to the ground motionless. The last Thug desperately pulled out a handgun and shot at Enjo, who was hit in the shoulder, making him flinch and stumble back. ¡°Heh, he¡¯s not that tough¡¡± The Thug said to himself quietly. However, the bullet hole started to slowly close as a glowing yellow aura formed around Enjo¡¯s body. Within seconds the small hole had been closed. Enjo scowled, clearly pissed¡ ¡°You guys have no respect¡y¡¯know how much these clothes cost?¡± Enjo said, angrily. ¡°Why don¡¯t you pay with your life!¡± Enjo disappeared and reappeared close to the Thug within an instant, and punched him clean in the jaw, knocking him at least 10 feet into the air and onto his back. Enjo dusted himself off and turned back to the bag. Since he went through all the trouble, and since it seemed important, he decided he might as well take it with him. However, when he lifted it up, he was surprised. It didn¡¯t feel like money or anything metal inside. It felt kind of soft, and the bag didn¡¯t bend like something solid was in it. He had a bad feeling, but decided to bring it up to his Apartment anyway. Luckily, the staff didn¡¯t really care when he walked in with a large, oddly-shaped bag. With all the criminal activity in the area, they¡¯ve likely learned to not ask questions. Enjo entered his room on the 4th Floor, and laid the bag down on the ground. ¡°Now let¡¯s see what my prize is¡¡± Enjo said to himself, as he untied the top of the bag. As Enjo opened the bag, he said what looked like white fur. Could it be a pelt of some rare animal? Maybe some kind of vintage fur coat or something. He felt it, but it didn¡¯t feel like fur¡it felt more like hair. ¡°...Don¡¯t tell me¡¡± Enjo thought to himself¡ He reached in and pulled out what was in the bag, and his suspicions were proven true, unfortunately. It was a Woman with white hair, and roughed-up clothing. She had some bruises and seemed pretty beat up. Thinking back on those Thugs, especially the one with the bat, he definitely didn¡¯t feel any guilt over what he did to them anymore. ¡°Tsch. Human trafficking now? Even the Kage No O Family¡¯s never gone that far before¡¡± Enjo said to himself quietly. ¡°Though it¡¯s probably not something they couldn¡¯t do if they wanted to¡damn mongrels.¡± Enjo checked her pulse and breathing, seeing that she was still alive. He sighed and lifted her up, laying her on his couch. He then paced around a bit, trying to think. ¡°What do I do now¡I was hoping for something to sell, but I can¡¯t sell a damn PERSON!¡± Enjo grumbled quietly. ¡°I can¡¯t just throw her out¡in her condition she¡¯ll die if she doesn¡¯t get picked up by more Thugs¡¡± He looked back at the Woman, and then walked to his fridge. He opened the freezer to find exactly what he was looking for. He had some frozen peas and small ice packs. He took them out and used some dishrags to secure them where there was bruising and swelling. He also used some rags to wrap some parts of her that were bleeding. The tricky part was her swollen eye. He couldn¡¯t tell if it was injured under the swelling, so he made a small cut to reduce the swelling using his pocket knife. The swelling went down enough that he could see her eye. It had some damaged blood vessels, giving it a red appearance in the sclera, but nothing that won¡¯t heal with a bit of time. But then, as he finished checking her eye, he noticed it move slightly. Enjo sighed, and then spoke, ¡°How long have you been awake?¡± The Woman didn¡¯t reply, still trying to appear asleep. ¡°...I saw your eye move.¡± Enjo said. ¡°Also your eyelids clenched when I asked.¡± ¡°...Th-the cold woke me up¡¡± She said, softly, and a bit weakly. ¡°Wh-what are you doing?¡± ¡°Treating your injuries. They were pretty bad.¡± Enjo replied, his face softening just a little. ¡°Are they starting to feel better?¡± ¡°Other than my eye stinging from you cutting under it¡¡± She said, trying not to sound rude. ¡°Sorry about that, I needed to make sure your eye itself wasn¡¯t hurt.¡± Enjo said, handing her an ice pack. ¡°Hold this on your eye. It¡¯ll bring down what¡¯s left of the swelling, and the pressure will hold the bleeding.¡± She did as he told, and held the ice pack against her eye. ¡°...What¡¯s your name?¡± Enjo asked. ¡°Mine is Enjo.¡± ¡°Um¡mine is Gomu.¡± She replied, a bit hesitant. ¡°I don¡¯t really¡remember much else¡¡± ¡°Might be head trauma. There was bruising on your head when I found you.¡± Enjo said to her. ¡°Or maybe a Memory condition. I¡¯d say we could go to a Hospital, but if the Yakuza are after you for some reason that¡¯d be a bad idea¡especially the Kage No O Family¡they¡¯d find you fast if we took you anywhere public.¡± Enjo stood up, and Gomu grabbed the end of his Jacket. ¡°Hey¡who are you really¡?¡± Gomu asked. ¡°You aren¡¯t just ¡®Enjo¡¯...I can tell¡¡± Enjo looked back at her, and replied, ¡°I¡¯m the head of a small Yakuza Group¡¡± Enjo said. ¡°But we don¡¯t do bad stuff like other ones do. We¡¯re¡chill.¡± ¡°Is there such a thing as a ¡®chill¡¯ Yakuza?¡± Gomu asked, sceptical. ¡°Probably not entirely. We definitely aren¡¯t saints.¡± Enjo replied, as he went to the Kitchen, and grabbed a frozen meal from the freezer. He brought the meal over and held it over his palm. A flame formed in his palm, and heated it up. The flame startled Gomu, who stared at it in shock. ¡°How¡how did you do that?¡± Gomu asked, looking at the flame. ¡°It¡¯s called Aura.¡± Enjo replied. ¡°But don¡¯t worry about that right now. You should eat.¡± He laid the food in front of Gomu, who sat up to eat it. Gomu teared up as she tasted the food, and felt its warmth. She wasn¡¯t sure why, but it felt like she hadn¡¯t felt something so nice¡ever? She looked at Enjo, who was texting someone on his phone. ¡°Um¡thank you for the food¡¡± Gomu said, sheepishly. ¡°No problem.¡± Enjo said, bluntly. ¡°Don¡¯t worry about sleeping on the couch. I don¡¯t have a bed, anyway.¡± ¡°You don¡¯t¡have a bed?¡± Gomu questioned. ¡°Never felt the need for one¡¡± Enjo replied. ¡°I can sleep in this chair, don¡¯t worry about it. You just get some rest¡we both have a lot to do tomorrow.¡± 2 : Kazoku Sh艒kai (Family Introduction) The Next day, after Gomu spent the night at Enjo¡¯s apartment, the two of them left for the Basement early in the morning. Gomu¡¯s injuries had recovered surprisingly fast, while not healed fully they were healed to the point she wasn¡¯t very hindered. Enjo took his key out and unlocked the Basement, which was made into a makeshift Yakuza Base. It had amenities like a Fridge and Microwave, a table for games, a TV, and a larger table for meetings. ¡°Woah¡how¡¯d you get all this down here?¡± Gomu asked him, looking around at the Basement. ¡°It¡¯s almost like a house down here¡¡± ¡°We make sure Thugs stay away from the Apartment Complex, since it¡¯s cheap and people suffering use it a lot.¡± Enjo explained, as he turned the power on. ¡°They let us set this up in return.¡± ¡°Well that¡¯s nice of you guys¡¡± Gomu replied. ¡°So¡who are the other members?¡± ¡°One would be me.¡± A female Voice spoke, startling Gomu. Gomu looked around, seeing no one. Then, a woman suddenly grew to normal size next to her, making her jump a bit. ¡°Name¡¯s Julia, hon.¡± She said, seeming very casual. ¡°I stay hidden here to watch the place along with Chinmoku.¡± ¡°Chinmoku¡± Gomu questioned. Julia pointed to a corner of the Basement hidden behind the entry. There, a man was sitting and reading a book. She was surprised, as no sound at all came from him. He looked up, and closed his book, then snapped his fingers, which not only made a sound, but seemingly made him start making sound normally again. ¡°I am Chinmoku.¡± He said, in a deep voice. ¡°I use my Ability to keep myself Silent while guarding.¡± ¡°Um, I¡¯m¡Gomu¡it¡¯s nice to meet you both.¡± Gomu said, a bit nervously. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, Chinmoku¡¯s probably the weirdest.¡± Enjo said, wiping dust off the large table. ¡°They¡¯re the two most mild, though.¡± Gomu sat down on a bean bag chair in front of the TV. She winced a little as she sat down. ¡°You okay?¡± Julia questioned. ¡°Or did you and Enjo-¡± ¡°Finish that sentence and I¡¯ll knock your molars out.¡± Enjo interrupted, making Julia chuckle mischievously. ¡°I-it¡¯s just some bruises that haven¡¯t healed yet¡maybe a cracked pelvis¡¡± Gomu said, a bit pained. ¡°Why didn¡¯t you go to a Hospital then?¡± Julia asked. ¡°We think the Kage No O Family is after her. It was too dangerous.¡± Chinmoku replied. ¡°Besides, it seems her injuries heal quick.¡± ¡°...How did YOU know that?¡± Gomu questioned, before turning to Enjo. ¡°Is he who you texted last night?¡± The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°Nope.¡± Enjo replied, seeming unphased. ¡°I looked through his phone while he slept.¡± Chinmoku replied, bluntly. ¡°Yeah he has a weird habit of looking into¡like EVERYTHING. He even reads our mail.¡± Julia explained. Julia and Chinmoku sat and talked with Gomu, while they waited for the others to show up. Gomu didn¡¯t have much to talk about, given her memory problems, so it was mostly her listening to Julia and Chinmoku talk about their pasts and stuff. Apparently Chinmoku was in a Band before he became a Yakuza, and Julia was in the Architect field. Enjo didn¡¯t talk about much, other than being a delinquent in School. As they were getting ready to dig into some microwaved Mac n¡¯ Cheese, the Basement Door opened and two people walked in. One looked fairly normal, other than having black Facepaint on and wild hair, while the other was a short woman who had bug-like eyes and butterfly wings. ¡°Juryoku, Konchu, nice of you to be relatively early for once.¡± Enjo said, walking over to greet them. ¡°Gomu, this man here is Juryoku. He was the 2nd member after myself.¡± ¡°Hey, lady. Enjo texted me about ya last night.¡± Juryoku said. His voice was casual, but had a hint of delinquency to it. ¡°Nice to see ya, too, Julia~¡± Julia got up and the two of them kissed briefly. ¡°For once you aren¡¯t late~¡± Julia said, teasingly. ¡°For once you aren¡¯t trying to make yourself taller than me~¡± Juryoku replied, equally teasing. Gomu chuckled a bit, seeing the lovebirds flirting, but was surprised when she felt Konchu grab her shoulders from behind. With no warning, Konchu flew up to her and sniffed her nape. She made a slight buzzing sound and let go. ¡°...Can¡can I help you?¡± Gomu said, completely weirded out. She was starting to doubt Enjo¡¯s statement about Chinmoku being the weirdest. ¡°Just getting the feel of your Scent.¡± Konchu replied, holding out her long sleeve for a handshake. ¡°Name¡¯s Konchu. I lay eggs.¡± ¡°You what-¡± Gomu said out of shock. ¡°She does NOT lay eggs, she just says that to mess with people.¡± Enjo corrected, slightly annoyed. ¡°Right¡so¡¡± Gomu said, still quite weirded out. ¡°We were talking about what you guys did before the Yakuza stuff¡¡± ¡°Well I was the leader of a School Gang. I met Enjo during my Junior Year, though he was from a School Across the Country.¡± Juryoku replied. ¡°I was an Entomologist.¡± Konchu said, holding up a bowl of rice and eating it with rapid bites. ¡°Interesting¡¡± Gomu said, smiling a little and starting to relax. ¡°I¡¯m thirsty, be right back!¡± Gomu got up and went to the Kitchen area. She got a bottle of Juice out of the fridge and started to pour a glass, when she noticed someone behind her. She turned, thinking it was Enjo or one of the others, but she saw instead a tall man standing nearly 6 feet tall, with white and black hair and his body covered in stitches and patches of grey skin. Reflexively, Gomu grabbed the glass and hit him with it! The glass shattered, leaving shards in the man¡¯s face. He flinched slightly, and felt his face. ¡°...Ow.¡± He said, in a deep, moody voice. He pulled out one of the shards, and the wound closed so quick, she didn¡¯t even see any blood. ¡°You¡¯re a skittish one aren¡¯t you¡¡± ¡°Fumetsu, people aren¡¯t typically used to seeing a walking Frankenstein¡¯s Monster.¡± Konchu said. ¡°Quiet, crazy lady.¡± Fumetsu replied, scowling a bit. ¡°That¡¯s Fumetsu. He¡¯s the 2nd in command.¡± Enjo told Gomu, helping to pick up the broken glass. ¡°Why isn¡¯t Juryoku 2nd in command if he¡¯s the 2nd member?¡± Gomu questioned, still a little shaken. ¡°Because he¡¯s easily the dumbest here.¡± Fumetsu said, bluntly. ¡°If he was the Vice, we¡¯d be handling every conflict by punching things.¡± ¡°Hey! It works!¡± Juryoku yelled. They heard the door open, and all looked over to see two more people walk in. One was a large and muscular woman wearing all Pink, and the other was a short man with his arms tied together using a long Leather Belt. The pink woman walked up, and patted Gomu¡¯s head. ¡°You¡¯re the gal Juryoku told us ¡®bout huh?¡± She asked. ¡°Name¡¯s Kireina!¡± ¡°Uh¡hi¡you¡¯re tall¡¡± Gomu said, not knowing what else to say. ¡°...seriously how are you so tall¡¡± Kireina chuckled and patted Gomu¡¯s back, nearly knocking her over. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, people ask that a lot! I¡¯m taller than Fumetsu, even!¡± ¡°By like two inches.¡± Fumetsu said. Gomu looked at the short guy who entered along with her. Seeing him closer, she noticed his pupils were slit, and he had a lot of REALLY sharp teeth. He almost looked like a Shark or Piranha. He looked up at her, with his face in a permanent Glare. ¡°Uh¡Hello, there¡my name is Gomu-¡± She held out her hand for a handshake, then pulled back, realizing her mistake. ¡°Uhhh¡¡± ¡°...Hmph.¡± Taberu scoffed, as Juryoku and Kireina were struggling to contain their laughter. ¡°Taberu.¡± Taberu walked away and sat on a bean bag chair. ¡°Ah, don¡¯t worry about him, he¡¯s always pissed!¡± Kireina said, chuckling. ¡°He has the temper of a chihuahua!¡± ¡°Shuddup!¡± Taberu yelled, angrily. ¡°Tall-ass!¡± ¡°Short-ass!¡± Kireina yelled back. ¡°Those two fight a lot, don¡¯t they?¡± Gomu questioned. ¡°Enough to make me want to pummel them both.¡± Enjo answered, making Gomu chuckle a bit. She looked around at the members of the ¡°Family¡±. They didn¡¯t seem mean like other Yakuza to her. She¡¯d seen a lot of Thugs, but they were different. She actually felt comfortable around them, despite their weirdness. Especially around Enjo.
