《Supreme Wars》 Chapter one : THE REASON FOR THE PENDANT 1692, Eight white men came out from the thick dark forest, late a night, the full moon giving everything a silvery shine, like the edge of a sharp sword. They were in cloaks of various designs and colors, speaking the English accent. "Where are we" Said William. ¡°I''ll check¡± George replied. He clasped his two hands together and muttered words of an unknown language. "Somewhere in Africa" "Africa?" Everyone else muttered unsatisfactorily. "I know, I know, okay, just calm down" George said. "I thought the spell we casted was supposed to make the villagers gone" Edward said out of panic. The eight of them all Stared at each other, not knowing anything on what they could do. "I told you guys not to bring fear into the ritual, you know fear messes with a sorcerers spell" Jane retorted angrily. "At least we know the killers wouldn''t get to us in here, so....no fear, let''s do the spell again" Said Sarah. Just then an arrow suddenly came from nowhere and hit Sarah in the chest. All the men screamed out of shock, and Sarah screamed out of pain, staring blankly at the people, and she dropped dead immediately to the ground. "They followed us" Alice shouted, they were all confused, all they could think about was to run, and they did, leaving Sarah in a pool of blood, leaving any useless part of their cloaks that would slow them down. "How Could they have gotten to us, we totally apperated" Mary said..her heart drumming loudly against her chest. "Like Jane said...our fear must have caused the portal to remain open after we got sucked in" Robert mentioned, running as fast as he could on his long legs. About a hundred people were chasing them, with pitch forks, torches, and all sorts of weapons. After running for a while they saw a little hut standing alone, within kilometers and kilometers of trees and forests. They all ran inside, hoping to hide from the villagers. "What are we going to do" Alice said inbetween gasps for breath. "They''ll find us in here, the hut is very obvious" "Well, there''s nothing we can do" Said Robert. "Weather or not we hide, they''ll find us all, and we can''t do magic because of our fear" "But we are the last sorcerers in the world" Jane said."All will be lost, the works of our ancestors, all will amount to nothing" Hopelessness grew in everyone''s hearts and an idea sparked in Georges mind "It doesn''t have to be that way" He said. "What do you mean" Mary said with a confused smile. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. "Well, in a journal I read, there''s a spell we can all cast, we''ll inject our powers into a material, we can make it so that when a worthy person makes hold of it, they receive our powers and our knowledge about magic, our legacy lives" "Yes, yes, yes, that''s a great idea" Said William as hope began to take charge in every body''s faces. "And the best part is fear doesn''t interfere with this spell" said George. "Great!!" Alice exclaimed with a frown on her face. " A spell that can help us, fear intercepts it, a spell that could literally kill us, fear doesn''t do anything to it" "Alice is right" Said Jane. "Giving up our powers would kill us" "If we do it, we die, if we don''t do it......we still die" Said Robert. The faint angry scream of the incoming villagers could be heard. Everyone gasped and became scared. "WE KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE" The leading villager shouted as they were a few yards from the hut. "YOU CAN''T HIDE FOREVER, YOU THINK YOU CAN DO THIS TO US AND ESCAPE, I DON''T THINK SO" "What do we do" Said George. "They''ll interfere with our ritual" "I''ll hold them off" Said Jane as she stood up to go outside. "NO!" William exclaimed with anger. "I don''t have fear in me...I''ll be able to fight, I can do this" William and Jane stared at each other romantically for a few seconds. "Stay safe" William said, and Jane leaves to the villagers. "Have you come to surrender?" The leader said. " Yes, we have surrendered, but not to you, this is your last chance" Jane said with authority and a straight face. The villagers laughed mockingly. Before anyone knew it Jane waved her hands and fire erupted from the ground where she was standing to the leader with a loud divine gush, burning him to ashes. The villagers were all scared at first but they all started charging... throwing all sorts of entities in which Jane blocked with a protection spell. A beam of green light shot out from Jane''s hand and hit the ground, huge stone walls grew from the earth and surrounded the hut, she quickly ran inside to join the others who were holding hands In a circle. She joined hands with William and Alice. "We need an object" Said George. "Here" Robert said. He quickly took of a pendant from around his neck, it had a unique design that seemed to be part of an ancient forgotten language. He passed it on to George who placed it at the center of the circle they formed. "Say after me" George said as he closed his eyes. " NOS NOBIS TRADIMUS QUOD VIDEMUS, UT VIRES NOSTRAS SERVEMUS ET MUNDUM NOSTRUM SAVEMUS" They all repeated the spell over and over again, saying it louder and faster each time. The wind hushed, and it began to blow a little and it soon became violent, the nice warm weather changed, thunder clapped wildly, the clouds gathered and covered the bright moon. The necklace began to hover slowly in the air. The wind that was almost an hurricane was blowing wildly and was starting to destroy the stone wall...the villagers who were trying to climb over were seen, being lifted in the air like nylon bags. The stone wall finally broke apart...followed by the hut, leaving the sorcerers against the wind, but they weren''t affected. No one could go near the sorcerers as the wind will violently tear them apart. Long streams of multicolored light shot out from each of their chests and began to enter into the pendant causing the ground to shake like an earthquake and the wind more violent. It shot out with a divine sound, brightening up the place, oozing with energy as everything vibrated. They could feel it, their souls being drawn out with their powers. The angry villagers watched in awe, not knowing what was happening. The wind took out their torches and violently flapped their clothes. ¡°Bloody hell¡± A young woman said ¡°What d''you reckon they''re doing¡± Another man said. ¡°Don''t know, but it''s best we leave¡± ¡°NO¡± A man shouted. ¡°We would go in there and end their lives¡± He walked in and the wind took him off his feet and violently tore him apart, ripping every cell in his body like blended substance. Gasps of horror filled the villagers mouths. A few minutes later and the wild weather stopped abruptly. The sorcerers fell to the ground with a resounding thud. They all went pale, lifeless. The necklace which was silver in colour before was now bright shimmering gold. It stayed in the air for a few seconds until it slowly sunk to the ground. The second it touched the ground fire erupted with rage around it, burning kilometers and kilometers from the pendant. The sorcerers and all the villagers got burned and all turned into clean ash as the pendant sat gloriously on a rock on the unburned pad of grass, glowing, waiting for the worthy soul. Chapter two : Trying to be heroes ?????????????? ??????¡ªIn a little city in Nigeria, called Elysia. Students rushed out of the bus, murmuring as they saw the beautiful sight of the large museum they were in front of. Some had their phones, some held cameras, some holding journals. The lecturer, Mr. Marcus called the students together. ¡°Gather around everyone¡± He said, waving his hands to give them directions. ¡°In front of you is the first and official museum of Elysia, Mr. Andrew is your tour guide so pls...follow him and don''t go astray¡± They all followed their tour guide into the museum, taking pictures and notes, and marvelling at the beautiful artifacts and scenery. Dave walked slowly behind his best friend, Moses, not seeming to have any interests in all that is going on. ¡°I heard you broke up with Anna¡± He said suddenly. ¡°I didn''t break up with her, she broke up with me¡± Moses replied, still paying attention to the tour guide. ¡°You must be heartbroken¡± ¡°Nope I''m perfectly fine¡± He finally looked at Dave. ¡°I didn''t like the relationship¡± ¡°What!¡° Dave said with a frown of confusion. ¡°I told her, I didn''t like the relationship so she broke up with me¡± ¡°Oooohhh¡± Dave chuckled. Dave looked at everything else apart from the tour guide, thinking of ways he could daydream. He saw a man walking suspiciously into a hallway. He had always been an adventurous young man and loved getting into things that weren''t his business. He didn''t care at first about the man, but he was sure he saw the man levitate for a second. ¡°What the...¡° Dave muttered. He couldn''t help himself, he made sure no one was watching him and he followed the man into the hallway. The man walked into a room that was prohibited from anyone to enter, and Dave being a curious boy, followed him in. There was a vault made of strong metal, in which the man stood in front of. Dave watched from behind, far enough so the man wouldn''t see him. The man made some signs with his hands and his hands turned into a bright glowing silver color. Dave gasped and was scared. The vault began to open by it''s self and the bright golden light that shinned from the vault almost blinded Dave. **** ¡°Dave look at this artifact¡± Moses said as he pointed to a small beautiful sculpture, but he didn''t hear anything. ¡°Dave?¡° He looked around but couldn''t find him. ¡°Oh, no. Where did this boy adventure to again¡± He was somehow able to know that Dave was in a hallway that led to room. ¡°Oh my goodness, Dave¡± He said, and walked away from the group into the hallway. ****This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it The man enters the vault and comes out, holding a glowing necklace, with a beautiful pendant. But he wasn''t exactly holding it, it was hovering above his palm. ¡°Yes¡± He said with a mischievous grin. ¡°Finally, the golden pendant is in my hands, I can finally break the curse¡± Dave gasped out of fear as Moses suddenly appeared behind him. ¡°Dave, what are you doing?¡° Moses said angrily, but without a frown. ¡°Shut up don''t let the man hear you¡± Dave said authoritatively. Moses saw the man and gasped. ¡°Is that the golden pendant. It''s real?¡± His face showing fear and confusion. ¡°What!!!¡° Dave also said out of fear and confusion. Moses noticed that there''s some sort of facial resemblance between Dave and the man. ¡°If he''s a bad person he could destroy all of Elysia with this¡± Moses said. ¡°I don''t understand what you mean¡± Dave raised a questioning brow. ¡°We have to stop him¡± Moses said. ¡°What?¡° Dave tried to hold Moses. ¡°No let''s call security¡± But Moses charged in. ¡°HEY, STOP¡± Moses said as though he was a police officer. ¡°What¡± The man said with a brave confusion. ¡°The necklace isn''t yours¡± Moses retorted. The man laughs mockingly. ¡°Is this a joke, an ordinary boy, who are you to stop me¡± ¡° First of all¡± Moses points a fist at him. ¡°I am twenty one and my friend here is twenty one point five. Second I...¡° ¡°Who?¡° The man interrupted. ¡°My friend Dave¡± ¡°There''s no one with you¡± Moses looked back and couldn''t find Dave. ¡°Looks like you lost your so called friend¡± ¡°I don''t care, at least, now, no one can see me¡± He cracked his neck dramatically. The man waited for the stupidity and awkwardness he was expecting. Moses pupils slowly turned bright neon yellow. ¡°You are a warlock¡± The man said with a surprised accent. ¡°You are not leaving this place¡± Moses said bravely. The man tried to walk but a strong wind prevented him and blew him back to his formal position. ¡°Nice¡± The man said, a cunning smile forming on his lips. ¡°You are really strong aren''t you. Too bad I''m also a warlock and ready to fight you¡± His hand turned silver and Moses was flung backwards by an invisible force, it was as though the man used telekinesis to do that. He tried to walk again but he couldn''t, Moses eyes was still glowing yellow. ¡°Wind is your power drive unh?¡° The man tried to touch the pendant but he was immediately thrown away, he hit the ceiling and fell on the floor with a loud thud. Moses was surprised but also happy. **** The men in the surveillance room didn''t notice what was going on at first but when they did they saw Moses with the golden pendant on the floor. They immediately sounded the alarms and alerted the securities of the ongoing theft. **** Moses eyes stopped glowing yellow when he heard the sound of the alarm, the man immediately took the pendant and was about to run out the door, suddenly Dave came with a metal rod and hit it very hard against the man''s head, causing him to fall and go unconscious. ¡°Dave!!¡± Moses said out of surprise. ¡°You have a lot of explaining to do¡± His brows forming a frown. ¡°Take the necklace and return it¡± ¡°What!?¡° Dave stared at Moses like he was crazy. ¡°I''m not going to touch that thing, you are the magician¡± ¡°Exactly I can''t touch it cuz I''m a warlock, but it wouldn''t affect you¡± ¡°Fine¡± Dave frowned as he went to to take the necklace from the man. Dave grabbed it from the floor and was walking to the vault, suddenly the pendant glowed brighter and started making a shimmering noise. Multicolored flares of light swaying around it. ¡°What the...¡° Moses muttered. ¡°That''s impossible¡± ¡°What''s happening¡± Dave asked. The man woke up, Ran and hit Dave with his elbow, Dave dropped the pendant and he grabbed it,(of course, by making it hover on his hands) he waved his hands which turned silver and the pendant disappeared. The man immediately disappeared In a puff of sliver-ish smoke, before Moses could do anything. ¡°No!¡° Moses exclaimed. ¡°Where did he go¡± Dave said, in extreme confusion that almost made him dizzy. Security guards and police officers rushed in. ¡°The thieves have been found¡± Said a female officer, into the walkie talkie. ¡°What, we aren''t the thieves¡± Dave defended. Another officer took off their back packs and started searching, also checking their pockets. ¡°Tell that to the missing artifact, what were you doing here then¡± She said. ¡°We came here because we saw a suspicious man here, he was the one who stole it¡± ¡°And you didn''t think to call security, and where is he now¡± ¡°He disappeared¡± Dave said suddenly. ¡°Trust me officer¡± Moses said calmly. ¡°We didn''t steal it¡± ¡°Ma''am ?¡° The other officer said. ¡°What is it¡± He brings out the golden pendant from Dave''s back pack. ¡°What!!!¡° Dave and Moses almost exclaimed at same time, dumbfounded, unable to give a logical reason to why it was found there¡± ¡°And you say you aren''t the thieves¡± Said the female officer. ¡°We didn''t do it, I swear it¡± Dave said. ¡°Just stop talking, I''m afraid you have to be arrested for further investigations¡± She said as the other officer handcuffs both of them. ¡°Next time, you wouldn''t try to be heroes. The atmosphere was tense, everywhere was quiet, the judge looked at the two boys who were accused of stealing the golden pendant, an artifact from the museum. No one knows about this artifact, only the government, they couldn''t make it visible to the public because it was glowing a bright golden color, which defise the laws of science. So it was kept safe in a vault, but somehow, two university students got to know about it and attempted to steal it. ¡°Would you care to explain your side of the story Mr. Dave¡± The judge said, keeping an eye wildly on Dave''s body language. ¡°Our department was having an excursion to the museum¡± Dave started. ¡°While the tour guide was explaining, I saw a man walking suspiciously into the room, he wore a green hoodie, black trousers, and green shoes, he had a thin moustache. I can''t tell his hairstyle cuz he was wearing a hoodie¡± Dave paused, thinking of ways to filter out the part of the using of magic. ¡°My friend Moses showed up and we saw him bring out the necklace from the vault, none of us knew anything about it. We tried to stop him but he was too strong and he beat us...and we suddenly didn''t see him again¡± ¡°How did the necklace get into your backpack¡± The judge questioned. ¡°I guess he must have put it there to frame me¡± Dave answered. ¡°Evidence shows that the man you described never showed up in any of the cameras in the museum¡± ¡°I guess he was a master heist¡± Dave said almost angrily, tired of all the evidence pointing against him and Moses. Their lawyers were utterly useless, not able to do anything to help Moses and Dave win the case. Dave''s grandmother looked at the lawyers with a bombastic side eye, as though she would kill them if they failed. ¡°Why didn''t you call security the second you knew the man was stealing?¡° The judge asked, as if determined to punish the boys more than needed. ¡°I...I was...cuz...¡° Dave had nothing to say anymore, he was out of ideas. ¡°LOOK¡± He shouts. ¡°THE GUY WAS A MAGICIAN...OKAY?¡° ¡°What!!¡° The judge exclaimed. Confused gasps filling the court room. ¡°Dave... what do you think you are doing?¡° Moses whispered almost angrily. ¡°He had this little powers that helped him escape security and disappear¡± Dave completed. ¡°And he framed me¡± The judge looked at Dave with an eye that made it seem like as if he understood what Dave was trying to say. ¡°Would the guardians of these children like to say anything before I pronounce my judgement¡± The judge said, looking as mischievous and wicked as ever. Mary, Dave''s grandmother stands. ¡°My grandchild will never steal. I raised him since he was a baby, his single mother died when he was ten. I know what he can and cannot do. Dave knows nothing apart from straight A grades¡± The judge didn''t reply, he just kept writing into his papers as he listened. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. Mr. Jones, Moses father also stood up to talk, he was just as muscular as his son. ¡°Moses and Dave have been best friends since they were just learning to walk¡± He said calmly ¡°I know both if them, they''ll never do such a thing, I mean, how could they break into a vault¡± ¡°And what is this stupid necklace anyway?¡° Mrs. Jones started. ¡°Your precious jewel that no one in Elysia seems to know about¡± Murmurs began to fill the court. ¡°Very well¡± The Jude said. ¡°Since there are no evidence that the accused didn''t do it and there are witnesses that the accused can''t or didn''t do it, with major evidence pointing against the accused. I hereby pronounce the accused guilty. And sentence Moses Jones and David Antonio to 12 months in prison with zero labour¡± He stands up, just after hitting the mallet. ¡°Court!¡± Gasps filled the court as the session ended and the judge left, horror stuck Moses''s parents and Dave''s grandmother. ¡°Ugh!!!¡° Moses exclaimed angrily. ¡°I guess this is what we get for trying to be heroes¡± ¡°You can''t certainly tell me that cops will be able to deal with a greedy magician¡± Dave said, to make Moses feel less guilty, they both let out a silent somewhat forced chuckle. ¡°Magic men are called warlocks by the way¡± Moses lectured. ¡°When we get to jail, you will explain everything to me¡± They bid their parents and guardians a sad farewell as they were dragged away into the armored vehicle. **** Moses and Dave walked into the cellar, a cellar that had not bars, but a thick steel door with a panel for viewing from the outside. There was a bunk bed by the far right side of the room, and a toilet with a little curtain for privacy. ¡°Yuk!¡° Moses said out of disgust, I can''t believe I''m in prison. ¡°Just keep thanking that we were put in same room, alone, instead of with some weird criminals¡± Dave said, trying to keep his best friend happy and hopeful. ¡°I''m sorry Dave¡± Moses apologized, his head facing down. ¡°Oh, no. Don''t apologize to me¡± Dave said with an enlightening yet sentimental smile. ¡°Being in prison is worth it if I get to be there with my friend. I got to know your biggest darkest secret¡± Moses chuckled, though Dave could tell it was forced. ¡°I''m taking the top bed¡± Dave said happily as he climbed and jumped on the top bed. They heard knocking on the left side of wall. ¡°Unh?¡° Moses wondered. ¡°Did you hear that?¡° ¡°Yeah, I did¡± Dave replied. They heard the knocking again. ¡°Hello?¡° Moses said into the void. ¡°Just open the damn panel¡± A female voice yelled and they saw a panel by the left side of the wall. ¡°Oh¡± Moses quickly opened it. ¡° Was the panel there before!?¡° Dave questioned but got no answers. He saw the face of the beautiful young woman who was standing on the other side of the wall. He got down to get a good look at her. She had long black hair and paper brown eyes. Her melanin filled skin showed grace and beauty. ¡°Hi¡± The girl said. ¡°Umm...I thought this was only the prison for the male gender only¡± Moses said like a calm child. ¡°This is a prison for amateur criminals¡± Said the girl ¡°And why separate prison buildings for male and female, it''s not like they can have sex through the walls of their rooms¡± Moses was half shocked at the sudden use of the sexual word. ¡°Hi¡± Dave said in a deep cool voice. ¡°Hey¡± The girl replied. ¡°What''s your name by the way¡± Dave asked. ¡°My name''s Agnes¡± She answerd with a bright smile, which made Dave''s insides flutter. ¡°You have a beautiful name¡± He said, still in his cool voice. ¡°Oh, thank you¡± She had a vibrant smile, which Moses couldn''t help but notice. ¡°So why are you boys in prison¡± She asked. ¡°I stole the golden pendant¡± Dave said in an instant. ¡°Dave!!¡° Moses uttered almost angrily, knowing Dave''s attempt to try to impress the girl. ¡°Wait¡± She raised a questioning brow. ¡°You guys know?¡° ¡°Know what?¡° Moses asked. Agnes leaned in closer and whispered. ¡°Magic¡± Dave gasped. ¡°Don''t tell me you are a witch¡± ¡°I am¡± she said. Dave was about to talk, but Moses stepped in defensively. ¡°Prove it¡± Moses said. Agnes took a deep breath and her eyes, only the pupils, turned purple. Dave and Moses were surprised, but Dave was more shocked. Light weight objects in the room started floating in the air. ¡°Wow¡± Moses said with full happiness. ¡°I''ve never met another magic person my entire life, except from my parents¡± ¡°Neither have I¡± Agnes said. ¡°Really?¡° Moses asked. ¡°No, I''m just kidding¡± ¡°Okay, so now that two magicians are here...¡° Said Dave. ¡°Explaining everything to me would be more efficient and accurate and interesting. Start talking¡± ¡°Don''t you know about sorcery?¡° Agnes asked. ¡°No, I''m not even a magician¡± Dave answered. ¡°Oh, we don''t have to tell you¡± Agnes said. ¡°Why not, we can trust him¡± Moses said, in is usual calm tone. ¡°We can show you¡± Agnes said. Agnes eyes, pupils specifically, turned into a bright neon purple and the walls between the prison rooms disappeared and Agnes crossed over, startling the boys. The air in the center of the room turned into an image, forming like a realistic 3d hollogram. Controlled by Agnes. ¡°Is your power drive reality?¡° Moses asked. ¡°Yes, Agnes answerd. ¡°What''s yours?¡° ¡°Wind¡± Moses said with a smile which Agnes didn''t return. ¡°The creation of the world¡± Agnes said like a narrator, with the hollogram forming different images.
