《Living Corpse》 Chapter 1: A New Life Gary Anderson. He is a shell of his former self. The skin on the right side of his body is grey, with patches of rotting flesh here and there. He has lost vision in his right eye and his brown hair is thinning on that side of his scalp. His nose and throat still function as normal. However, prolonged exposure to the sun ends up irritating the skin on the right side of his body. So he makes sure to avoid spending too much time outdoors when the sun is out. Gary doesn''t complain too much about his situation since he is still able to make love to his girlfriend, Karin Finley. Though, the couple have to be careful when doing the deed, to avoid peeling off Gary''s skin. Gary screamed like a banshee when it happened the first time. While Karin freaked out at the amount of blood he was losing. Now, the couple are able to laugh about the situation whenever it happens. Making jokes about Gary''s reactions when he is in pain. Gary has no idea how his body ended up like this. After serving in the army for six years, he and Karin claimed the ranch that her grandfather left for them before he passed away. On September 23, 1982, Gary woke up early and told Karin that he would drive to Clover town to gather supplies for the ranch. It will take three hours to get to the town and three hours on the drive back home. So as long as there isn''t any traffic or delays along the way. Gary drove into town and gathered all the supplies they needed for the ranch. While driving back home, a bright light flashed in front of him, then he woke up in the master bedroom at the ranch covered in bandages. Karin told him that he went missing for six months and that she discovered him and their truck in a ditch several miles east from the ranch. The day she found him was April 07, 1983. Gary was shocked to hear this because for him, it seemed like everything happened in an instant. He has no recollection of anything that happened to him during those six months he was missing. He and Karin believed that a group of individuals experimented on his body and wiped out his memories to avoid getting caught by the authorities. But there''s no way to confirm this since Gary lost his memories of the event. Chapter 2: Strange Encounter November 19, 1983. Time: 08:45 p.m. Location: Honey Meadow ranch in Halsworthy Town. Beep. Beep. Beep. Gary groaned and reached over to turn off the alarm clock on the nightstand. After a few minutes had passed, he opened his eyes and looked at the clock mounted on the wall in the master bedroom. 8:57 p.m. Ugh¡­My head hurts like hell. Why the hell does my head hurt so much? Did I spend the entire afternoon drinking whiskey? Gah¡­I don''t remember a thing. I''m going to look for Karin and ask her what the hell I was doing this afternoon. But first, I''m going to the bathroom to take some Tylenol to get rid of this fucking headache. It feels like my head is being split in two by an axe. Gary got up from the bed and walked down the hallway. He made a right turn when he reached the corner and entered the bathroom. When he flipped the light switch on, he stopped dead in his tracks and gazed at the scene in front of him. Blood and pieces of flesh decorated the pink floral wallpaper in the bathroom. The tub is filled with water that has turned crimson color, while body parts of unknown origins floated on the surface. What the fuck happened here!? Wh- Gary hunched over and puked up the contents of his stomach. The piercing headache that he had moments ago was replaced by nausea and lightheadedness. Gary walked to the right side of the bathroom where the sink was located and lowered his body to the floor. He decided to sit on the floor and wait for the nausea to go away. After what felt like an eternity, the dizziness and nausea went away and Gary felt like himself again. What happened here? Did Karin- Gary opened his eyes and stood up immediately. ¡°Karin!!! Karin!!! Where are you!?!? KARIN!!!!!!!!!¡± Gary frantically ran to each room in the house to find Karin. But he couldn''t find her anywhere. Then, he ran outside to look around at the backyard, the barn and the cabin located on the ranch. He didn''t find her. Finally, he ran back to the bathroom to examine the body parts that are floating in the tub. He stopped at the doorway in the bathroom. Desperately hoping that the corpse in the tub isn''t his girlfriend. Karin loved butterflies and flowers a lot. She had gotten a tattoo of a rose on her right thigh and a large butterfly tattoo on her lower back. Even though the head is missing, Gary can still identify the dead body by looking for the tattoos in those two areas. Gary didn''t want to do this task. It made him feel sick and nauseous. But it must be done because it''s the only way to find out if that corpse is girlfriend or not. Gary crossed the threshold and proceeded to walk towards the tub. He holds back the nausea that is welling up inside of him and grabs the torso that''s floating in the tub. He looked at the back of the torso but he didn''t see the beautiful butterfly tattoo that Karin has. Next, he reached for the body parts that are the thighs. He couldn''t tell which part belongs to the right or left leg. And that thought alone made Gary gagged a bit. Holding back the bile that so desperately wanted to spew out of his mouth, he examined the thighs for the rose tattoo. He didn''t see the tattoo anywhere on the legs. Relieved that the task is over, Gary ran out to the hallway and vomited once more. So the body in the tub isn''t Karin. But who is it? Who killed and butchered that woman? Why is her body inside the tub? What the fuck is going on here? And where is- Gary''s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a glass that was dropped and broke into pieces. The sound startled him because he wasn''t expecting that. Once he composed himself, he realized that the sound came from the first floor and that he¡¯s not alone in the house anymore. He ran to the master bedroom to grab the shotgun inside the closet and load bullets into it. Once he was done doing that, he walked towards the steps leading to the first floor. Gary descended the stairs slowly to avoid alerting the intruder of his presence. When he reached the bottom step, he was able to see clearly what had caused the noise earlier. There was a pool of red liquid in front of the refrigerator. While small pieces of glass shattered in various directions all over the floor. The intruder dropped a bottle of red wine on the floor. And they didn''t bother to close the refrigerator door, so cold air filled the kitchen entirely. Gary heard someone eating in the living room. Totally oblivious to the fact that there''s someone in the house with them. Gary wisely avoided the mess on the kitchen floor and headed towards the living room. He put his finger on the trigger and lifted the shotgun to shoulder-level to aim and shoot the intruder. When he entered the living room, Gary paused and dropped the shotgun on the floor. He was stunned by what he saw in front of him and was hoping that he was having a bad dream. What the fuck? It looks human but it clearly isn''t. The creature entered the house uninvited, had stopped eating the ham & cheese sub and looked at Gary. The creature has purple skin that is layered with tiny scales on their arms and legs. Long silky black hair cascades down their back and ends at their waist. The creature stood up and continued to stare at Gary. Not wanting to take their eyes off of him. Those piercing red eyes continue to stare at Gary, as the creature begins to use their telepathy to communicate with him telepathically. I know you have lots of questions for me. I can hear all the noise that is going on inside your head. Whether or not I reveal everything to you depends on the answer you give me. Will you relinquish your humanity and become anew member to my species? Or will you choose death? What will it be, human? Gary didn''t need that much time to think things through. He knew damn well that he wouldn¡¯t be able to kill the creature with the shotgun. He knew if he tried to kill it, he would end up dead instantly. That''s what his instincts are telling him. Gary gave the creature his answer. He didn''t need to say it out loud because the creature can hear his thoughts anyways. The creature heard the answer Gary gave and it smiled. They used a portal disc to create a gateway that leads to a colony where other members of their species live and called home. Eager to welcome a new member to their community. Chapter 3: Jupiter Gary and the creature arrived at the colony located on the planet, Jupiter. Gary is struck by awe and wonder when he saw blue energy coursing throughout the colony. Giving the black colored steel that coats the buildings in the area a beautiful glow. While he was looking around amazed at what he saw, a pink creature ran towards him and gave him a bone crushing hug. Knocking Gary to the ground. Okay, why the hell is this creature hugging me? Though I gotta admit, she does smell nice. I will- Gary frozed and became speechless where he saw the butterfly tattoo on the pink creature backside. The same tattoo that Karin has. After spending a few minutes crushing his back with her hug, she let go of him and stood up. She gave him a bashful smile. And that''s when he saw it. The rose tattoo on the right thigh. Then, the thought popped up in his end. Karin gave up her humanity and became a member of these species! No wonder I couldn''t find her anywhere! She was on a different planet! Without a word, Gary stood up and wrapped his arms around the pink creature. Hugging her like his life depended on it. The pink creature returned his affection and hugged him back. Relieved that her partner was able to recognize her despite the fact her appearance changed drastically. Seratans. That is what these species are called. Karin, who goes by the name Kerantha now, will explain why he went missing for six months and how she became a Seratan. Gerrin, the purple colored Seratan, will explain what had happened while Gary was unconscious in the master bedroom in Honey Meadow ranch. The Seratans were frustrated that their experiment #007 ended in a failure, so they came back to Earth and abducted more humans to experiment on. Gary was the seventh human they experimented on that ended up being unsuccessful. Instead of becoming a Seratan, one half of their bodies becomes a grey colored rotting flesh. Looking more like a zombie than a humanoid alien. These humans were kept in a comatose state inside pods for several weeks, while the Seratans continued their experiments on other human beings. The Seratans return these zombified humans back to Earth, once they don''t have any pods left to store them in. Before they do this, the Seratans use telepathy to wipe out the humans'' memories of their time on Jupiter. This is to prevent the humans from spreading rumors about humanoid aliens living on another planet. Experiment #196 became a success. This is because they used the blue crystals that are scattered all over Jupiter, to dilute the toxicity of their blood during the transfusion. Which allows the humans¡¯ bodies to accept the blood that is being pumped into their veins. Thus becoming a Seratan and being gifted with immortality, regeneration, telepathy, and an unique ability specific to that particular Seratan.You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. Now that they are able to create more Seratans by using humans, they begin the process to repopulate Jupiter with their species. Which led to an encounter with Karin Finley on August 23, 1983. It was late at night and she was feeding the cows and chickens in the barn, when a group of Seratans walked into the barn and used their telepathic powers to render her unconscious. When she came to, she was inside a colony''s laboratory on Jupiter. They gave her the same options that they gave Gary. Become a Seratan or die. She chose the first option because she wanted to see Gary again. She had spent six long months without him and couldn''t bear the thought to be separated from her partner again. Gary asked her why the Seratans allow them to decide what their fate will be, when they force other humans to become one against their will. She said it''s because they both have the potential to awaken rare abilities that will help their comrades, Zelterrans, on Neptune. Karin hasn''t unlocked her special ability because she wanted to wait for Gary to join her on Jupiter. Gary thanked Karin for her patience by planting a kiss on her forehead. Chapter 4: Explanation The group arrived at the laboratory that is located on the fifth floor on Colony 08. When they entered the area, Gary realized something. ¡°Wait a minute. Something''s not adding up here. The Seratans abducted you in August and you became a new member of their species during that month. Correct?¡± Karin nodded her head. ¡°So this means someone disguised themself as you during those weeks that you were gone from Earth. Who''s the dumbass that did that? And how the fuck I didn''t notice the difference earlier?¡± ¡°It was me.¡± Gary turned his head and looked at Gerrin. He is shocked to hear a deep voice, since Gerrin had an androgynous appearance that made it difficult for Gary to tell what the Seratan¡¯s gender is. Then, he realized that he had spent the past several weeks being intimate with a male alien. You''re are a talented lover. So sensual and loving. Made me hunger for your body so much that I had to seek privacy to calm the sexual desire within me. I will remember our moments together fondly. And that they need to send Gerrin and Aragon to Earth to prevent the humans from becoming suspicious when they''re loved ones are gone. Why Gerrin and Aragon? Because Gerrin has the ability to shape-shift into any lifeform he chooses. While Aragon is blessed with two special abilities. Cloning and mimicry. Aragon can copy another Seratan¡¯s ability and create up to 300 clones of himself. When their comrades arrived on Earth to abduct a human, Aragon would shape-shift and make a clone that would replace the missing human. Aragon couldn''t hide the stress his body was under from managing multiple clones any longer. Therefore, on August 23, 1983, Gerrin told Aragon that he will shape-shift into Karin himself to give his comrade time to rest and recover.Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. Everything went smoothly until November 13, 1983. The female stalker that had been living in the attic on the ranch for several months, decided to take a shower in the bathroom that morning. Why? Who knows. Gary assumed it was Karin that was taking a shower, so he thought it would be funny to scare her when she wasn''t expecting it. He opened the door to the bathroom slowly to avoid alerting Karin of his presence. Then, the faucet turned off and the shower curtains were pulled back revealing the identity of the individual that had finished taking a shower. It wasn''t Karin. Gerrin felt the rage and anger Gary had towards his stalker. Annoyed and aggravated that she won''t stop pestering him. Gerrin used his telepathic powers to knock both of them unconscious. Preventing Gary from doing something that''s reckless and stupid. He transformed back to his original appearance and dragged Gary''s body back to the master bedroom. Next, he removed the memories of the stalker from Gary¡¯s mind. To give his mind some peace and comfort. Then, Gerrin returned to the bathroom, filled the tub with water and chopped the woman''s body into sections. Cutting the body parts in the tub to minimize the blood splatter. This process took several hours to complete. So he only managed to dispose of the woman''s head. Gerrin went to the kitchen to grab something to drink and eat. He took a sip of the red wine and was disgusted by how it tasted. He threw the bottle to the ground and grabbed the ham & cheese sub. He liked how the sub tasted, so he walked to the living room to continue eating his food. Gerrin¡¯s dinner was interrupted when a frightened and confused Gary entered the living room. Surprised by what he saw. Gary''s reaction made Gerrin realize that he failed to transform his appearance into Karin¡¯s. He was going to reveal his true identity to Gary at the end of the month and make him decide what his fate would be at that time. Since Karin kept postponing the ritual to unlock her special ability because she wanted to hear what option that Gary had picked. Gerrin didn''t let his mistake cause his mind to falter and adapted to the new situation in front of him. Epilogue: Mission Glad that he got the answers he was looking for from Gerrin''s and Karin¡¯s stories, he told the Seratans that they can proceed with the blood transfusion. Ready to sacrifice his humanity to become a Seratan. Once the transfusion was complete, Gary''s appearance changed again. Gary''s skin changed to a blue color and his brown hair became black, short and spiky. And the right side of his body no longer looks grey and deformed. Gary was asked what his new name will be now that he''s a Seratan. Gary said that he will let Karin decide when they unlock their special ability. Enjoying this book?
