《Everyone looks down on the Trap God Profession but my talent makes it op》 The Trap God’s Awakening The morning light broke through the trees like a promise, filling the air with quiet anticipation. Today was Jaxon¡¯s 21st birthday the day he would finally awaken his profession. For as long as he could remember, he had dreamed of this moment, of standing before the altar in the Professions Awakening Building, and stepping into the ranks of the Monster Hunters. It was the only way to make a name for himself in a world dominated by power. His heart pounded as he entered the towering building, its halls filled with others his age, all buzzing with excitement. This was their moment, the one day that would decide their futures. Whispers filled the air some people muttered about which profession they hoped to awaken: Warrior, Mage, Beast Tamer. Powerhouses. Jaxon¡¯s fingers twitched at his side. He had spent years imagining himself slaying monsters on the becoming the kind of hero legends spoke of. He shuffled forward in line, feeling the weight of the moment bearing down on him. With each step, the nerves in his stomach twisted tighter. But this was it finally, after what felt like a lifetime, Jaxon stepped onto the glowing altar. The magic beneath his feet hummed to life, wrapping him in a bright, blinding light. The entire room held its breath. The light faded, and there, hovering above him, was his destiny: Trap God. Laughter erupted around him, cutting through the silence like a knife. Jaxon clenched his fists as he heard the whispers snickers and sarcastic remarks aimed at him. The woman overseeing the awakening couldn¡¯t hide the smirk on her face. ¡°Trap God? Really?¡± someone jeered from the back of the room. It was a profession no one respected. Weak. Useless. After all, any basic detection scroll available in every town could reveal all traps, rendering them pointless in battle. Guild recruiters, who had been eyeing his awakening with interest, quickly turned away, uninterested. Jaxon was already forgotten. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. The truth was, he had always admired the Trap God profession, even with its glaring flaw. It fit him perfectly a person who preferred to fight from the shadows, who didn¡¯t thrive in direct confrontations. He was never the reckless type anyway. Taking a deep breath, he glanced at his stats, the thing that would determine how strong he truly was. His heart skipped a beat. Talent: Unseen ¨C This talent allows no one to detect your traps unless you want them to. His pulse quickened, excitement bubbling in his chest. Unseen. No one could detect his traps not even with the most advanced scrolls. The weakness everyone ridiculed no longer applied to him. The mocking voices faded into the background as a grin crept onto his face. The woman who had laughed at him moments before glanced at him lazily. ¡°What¡¯s your talent?¡± she asked, her tone indifferent. ¡°Who cares?¡± Jaxon muttered under his breath, not bothering to answer her. He knew better than to reveal his secret. Talents were power, and power revealed too soon could be exploited. Ignoring the people who had mocked him, Jaxon left the building, walking with a spring in his step. He couldn¡¯t wait to get home and fully dive into what his profession could do. When he finally reached his small room, he brought up his stats screen. Name: Jaxon Profession: Trap God Level: 0 Traps: Bear Trap (Level 0): Deploys a hidden trap that snaps shut, immobilizing the target and causing heavy damage The simple screen was enough to ignite a fire in him. His traps would evolve as he did, and with Unseen, no one would see them coming. They could laugh all they wanted now, but Jaxon knew something they didn¡¯t: a trap is only useless when it¡¯s detected. And in his hands, they would never be. Let them laugh for now, he thought. They won¡¯t be laughing for long. The Cabin in the Woods Jaxon sat on the edge of his worn-out bed, staring at the peeling walls of the cramped room he called home. He had grown up in this poor neighborhood, where opportunities were scarce and kindness even rarer. The local thugs guys who had awakened to powerful professions like Beast Tamer, Tank, and Wizard ruled these streets. They bullied and harassed anyone weaker than them, including Jaxon. Until now, they hadn¡¯t gone too far, only because they were waiting to see what profession he would awaken. They feared the possibility that he could become someone powerful enough to get revenge. But now¡ now that he had awakened as a Trap God, things were different. They would come for him, and he knew it. Trap God was seen as the lowest of the low. If the thugs discovered his profession, they wouldn¡¯t hesitate to torture him. No one would lift a finger to help a Trap God, not even the guilds. He¡¯d be completely on his own. The thought sent a chill down his spine. Jaxon couldn¡¯t stay here. Not anymore. There was only one place he could go: the old cabin in the forest, the one his parents used to take him to before they passed away. It was the one spot where he felt safe¡ªfar from the eyes of those who would mock or hurt him. And now, it would be his sanctuary. Jaxon stood, grabbing the small, weathered bag that held his few belongings. He packed lightly clothes, a knife, a small amount of food. He didn¡¯t have much, but he didn¡¯t need much either. With one last glance at the dingy room that had been his life for so long, Jaxon stepped out into the street, feeling the eyes of the local thugs watching him. But they said nothing. For now. The journey to the cabin was long, the path winding through thick woods, the air growing cooler the deeper he ventured. Memories of his parents flooded his mind¡ªtheir laughter, the warmth of the campfire, the stories they used to tell. The cabin had been their retreat from the harshness of the world, and now, it would become his. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Hours later, Jaxon arrived at the clearing. The cabin stood there, weathered and quiet, just as he remembered it. It was small but sturdy, with wooden walls covered in vines, and a chimney that rose above the trees like a silent sentinel. He stepped inside, breathing in the scent of old wood and damp earth. The cabin had been abandoned for years, but it was still home. Without wasting time, Jaxon set to work. He wasn¡¯t safe here yet. Not until he set up his defenses. With a focused expression, he activated his first skill. The air around him shimmered as his stats screen appeared before him. Traps: Bear Trap (Level 0): Deploys a hidden trap that snaps shut, immobilizing the target and causing heavy damage. Jaxon moved quickly, placing bear traps around the perimeter of the cabin. He knew that even though he was far from town, there was always a chance someone could stumble upon him. With his Unseen talent, no one would detect the traps unless he willed it. For the first time, he felt a surge of confidence. ¡°With this, I won¡¯t have to worry about intruders,¡± he muttered to himself as he finished laying the last trap. Satisfied with his work, Jaxon took a moment to rest, leaning against the cabin¡¯s doorframe. The weight of the day settled over him, but there was no time to relax. If he wanted to survive, he needed to get stronger. That meant one thing: leveling up. The forest was home to a small goblin dungeon, one designed for beginners. It was meant for players between levels 0-4, with no guards or restrictions because of its low difficulty. It was the perfect place for Jaxon to start. He had to face it sooner or later. With his traps ready to protect his new home, Jaxon took a deep breath and set off toward the dungeon. The thugs might be stronger now, but that wouldn¡¯t last forever. He was a Trap God, and with each level, he would show them just how wrong they were. The Goblin Dungeon The entrance to the goblin dungeon loomed ahead, a jagged cave mouth set deep into the side of a hill, surrounded by gnarled trees and thick underbrush. The terrain was rough, uneven, with sharp rocks jutting out of the earth. The forest around the cave was thick with shadows, the trees seeming to close in like a natural barrier, isolating this place from the rest of the world. It was an ominous reminder that Jaxon was far from the safety of his new cabin, but he had no choice this was where he would begin his rise in strength. He crept forward, his breath steady, as he reached the entrance of the cave. Inside, the air grew cooler, damp with the scent of earth and decay. Flickering torchlight cast eerie shadows on the stone walls, and the faint sounds of goblins echoed through the tunnels. Jaxon knew this dungeon was designed for beginners, but that didn¡¯t make the creatures any less dangerous. He had to be cautious, methodical. His heart beat faster as he edged further into the darkness, but his focus remained sharp. He knelt down, activating his Bear Trap skill, placing the first trap at the cave¡¯s entrance. The description appeared in his mind as he set the mechanism into the dirt: Bear Trap (Level 0): Deploys a hidden trap that snaps shut, immobilizing the target and causing heavy damage. The trap was nearly invisible, hidden beneath the dirt and rocks, its deadly jaws waiting to snap shut. With his Unseen talent, no goblin would be able to detect it. He moved deeper into the dungeon, setting several more traps along the narrow pathways, each one strategically placed to catch anything that moved. The dungeon¡¯s tunnels were winding and tight, forcing Jaxon to stay low and keep his steps quiet. As he rounded a corner, he spotted the first group of goblins¡ªsmall, ugly creatures with mottled green skin, sharp teeth, and crude weapons made from rusted metal. They were patrolling the area, their guttural voices low as they communicated in their primitive language. Jaxon froze for a moment, calculating his next move. There were three of them, their beady eyes scanning the cave for threats. He shouted then ran back luring them toward his traps. It was a game of patience, one that he knew he would win.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. With a sharp hiss, the first goblin stepped onto a Bear Trap. The jaws of the trap snapped shut around its leg with a sickening crunch, causing the creature to shriek in agony. The other two goblins spun around, their weapons raised, but Jaxon had already activated his next trap. Another Bear Trap caught the second goblin by the arm, crushing bone and flesh in one brutal motion. The third goblin tried to flee, but its fate was sealed. The final trap triggered, snapping its ankle and as it hit the ground it triggered another one snapping its neck clean off. Jaxon smirked as he watched the carnage unfold. The traps were efficient, doing the dirty work for him. He didn¡¯t even need to lift a finger. Stepping over the bodies, he checked his stats. The experience was flowing in, and he could feel his strength rising. He wasn¡¯t done yet. Deeper into the dungeon, the terrain became more treacherous. The tunnel narrowed even further, leading to a wide, open chamber where the goblin leader waited. The leader was larger than the others, its eyes glowing with a malicious intelligence. It wielded a crude but powerful spiked club, and its guttural orders echoed through the chamber as it directed more goblins to patrol the area. Jaxon knew this would be a tougher fight. The goblin leader wouldn¡¯t go down as easily as its underlings. But he was prepared. He crouched low, setting more Bear Traps at the entrance of the chamber, creating a deadly field that no goblin would escape. Then, with a deep breath, he stepped forward and whistled sharply. The goblins turned as one, eyes locking onto him. The leader snarled, raising its club, and the horde charged. The first goblin stepped into a trap, screaming as its leg was crushed. Another trap snapped shut on the second, and the third fell with a broken neck. But the leader kept coming, pushing through the chaos, stepping over its companions body¡¯s its eyes locked on Jaxon. Jaxon backed up, keeping his distance, until the leader stepped onto the final Bear Trap. The trap closed around its ankle, sending it crashing to the ground with a roar of pain. Jaxon didn¡¯t hesitate he rushed forward, grabbing a sharp rock from the ground, and drove it into the goblin leader¡¯s chest, ending its life with one swift strike. The dungeon fell silent. Jaxon stood over the bodies, breathing hard, the rush of victory surging through him. His traps had worked flawlessly, and now, with the goblin leader dead, he felt the surge of experience push him to new heights. His stats screen appeared before him, and his eyes widened as he saw the words he had been waiting for: Level Up! Name: Jaxon Profession: Trap God Level: 5 His traps had become stronger, and so had he. Jaxon smiled. This was only the beginning. Soon, the world would know the power of a Trap God. A New Challenge Awaits Jaxon stepped out of the goblin dungeon, the adrenaline still coursing through his veins. Surprisingly, he wasn¡¯t tired at all; the traps had done all the work, leaving him with energy to spare. He could hardly believe how easy it had been. The goblins had been weak, and their leader was no match for his cunning. With a grin plastered on his face, he decided it was time for a new challenge. He recalled hearing about a dungeon recommended for levels 10 to 15, rumored to be filled with much tougher enemies¡ªOrcs. As he made his way to the new location, his excitement grew. This time, he would really test his skills. Arriving at the entrance of the Orc dungeon, Jaxon noticed a burly guard standing by a shimmering portal, arms crossed and a stern expression etched on his face. As Jaxon approached, the guard eyed him skeptically. ¡°Hey! You¡¯re only level 5. You can¡¯t enter,¡± the guard declared, blocking the way. ¡°I can handle my own,¡± Jaxon replied confidently, brushing off the warning. ¡°What¡¯s your profession?¡± the guard asked, raising an eyebrow. ¡°Trap God,¡± Jaxon said proudly, a smile creeping onto his face. The guard laughed, shaking his head. ¡°You absolutely cannot enter. These Orcs can cast detection spells that will expose your traps.¡± Jaxon rolled his eyes, feeling a surge of impatience. ¡°It¡¯s fine. Just stop talking and let me through.¡± Without waiting for a response, he pushed past the guard and stepped through the portal. As he emerged on the other side, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. The terrain was terrifying¡ªa dark, foreboding forest with twisted trees that seemed to reach out with skeletal branches. The ground was littered with bones and remnants of past adventurers who had failed to survive the onslaught of the Orcs. A heavy fog hung in the air, swirling ominously around his feet, and distant growls echoed through the gloom. Jaxon felt a thrill of excitement as he scanned his surroundings. He moved cautiously through the forest, laying traps as he went. Bear Trap was his go-to skill, and he expertly positioned several around the clearing, hiding them beneath the underbrush. He knew these Orcs wouldn¡¯t be easy prey, but he was ready. As if summoned by his thoughts, a group of Orcs emerged from the shadows, their hulking figures clad in mismatched armor, weapons at the ready. Their guttural roars echoed through the trees, sending a chill down Jaxon¡¯s spine. He quickly activated his Bear Trap skill, triggering one of his hidden traps just as the first Orc charged forward. If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. With a snap, the trap closed around the Orc¡¯s leg, immobilizing it and causing it to howl in pain. Jaxon seized the moment, using his Bear Trap skill again and again, sending traps snapping shut on each unsuspecting Orc. The cunning placement of his traps allowed him to take down one Orc after another without ever stepping into the fray himself. Before long, he had leveled up to Level 10, a grin stretching across his face as he felt the rush of experience wash over him. He knew that every ten levels, a profession would unlock a new skill, and he could hardly wait to see what his would be. New Skill Unlocked: Landmines Explosive devices buried underground that detonate when stepped on or driven over. Just as he finished reviewing his new skill, he spotted the Orc Boss looming in the distance. This creature was massive, standing nearly twice the height of the other Orcs, its dark armor gleaming menacingly in the half-light. Jaxon¡¯s heart raced with anticipation. This was the moment he had been waiting for. With a sly grin, he quickly laid down several Landmines around the boss¡¯s path, burying them just out of sight. The Orc Boss stomped closer, its beady eyes scanning the area, but it had no idea what awaited it. As the beast stepped onto a landmine, the explosion rocked the ground, sending shards of earth flying. The boss roared in fury, but Jaxon wasn¡¯t done yet. He activated more Bear Traps as the creature staggered back, ensnaring its legs and leaving it vulnerable. One final explosion sent the Orc Boss crashing to the ground, defeated. With this victory, Jaxon leveled up to Level 13, his excitement bubbling over. He could hardly believe how quickly he was rising through the ranks. In a single day, he had gone from a level 5 Trap God to level 13. Only those from wealthy families had a leveling speed like his, and they often relied on higher-level hunters to carry them through dungeons. But Jaxon was doing this all on his own. His eyes sparkled with glee. The ease of leveling up filled him with a sense of purpose. He didn¡¯t even have to break a sweat; his traps did all the work while he watched from a safe distance, relishing the chaos he created. Fueled by his success, Jaxon made up his mind he would run the dungeon again, aiming to reach level 20. Not only would he unlock another new skill, but he would also be able to sign up for the Virtual Battle Arena, where he could fight against other players for money, gear, and resources. In the Arena, players could hide their identities and engage in one-on-one battles in front of a live audience or in private matches. The thought thrilled him, but he also understood the risks. He didn¡¯t want to be discovered too soon. If word got out about his rising power and potential to be a Top ranker , people from other nations would come after him to have him join them or kill him directly to keep the power balance. As he delved deeper into the dungeon, Jaxon recalled the seven nations. His home Blue Dusk, it was the weakest nation m, with only two S-rank hunters. The strongest nation, Red Dragon Nation, boasted eight S-rank hunters, and people often said those born there were lucky. But luck would not decide his fate. Jaxon was determined to become a prodigy, to carve out his own destiny. The thrill of the hunt pulsed through his veins as he plotted his next move, ready to claim his place among the elite. The path ahead was dangerous, but for Jaxon, it was filled with promise The Arena of Triumph Jaxon stood outside the Orc dungeon, feeling a surge of accomplishment. After three successful runs, he had finally reached Level 20. The familiar sensation of leveling up filled him with excitement, but the real thrill was his new skill. The dungeon had been challenging, but not nearly enough to make him feel overwhelmed. He smirked to himself as he walked past the security guard, who stood frozen in shock. ¡°How¡ how did you survive?¡± the guard stammered, eyes wide with disbelief. Jaxon didn¡¯t even look his way, simply continuing forward. His thoughts were already on his next goal the Virtual Battle Arena. There, he could test his new skill against live opponents, win some money, and maybe even acquire better gear, which he sorely needed. His journey had just begun, and he was already rising fast. He arrived at the Virtual Battle Arena, an enormous colosseum that loomed before him like a monument to power and glory. As he entered, a greeter approached him with a bright smile. ¡°Hey, would you like me to take you to a battle room where you can be matched up with a random opponent?¡± Jaxon shook his head. ¡°No, I¡¯d like to register and create a profile.¡± ¡°Of course, follow me,¡± the greeter said, leading him to a computer screen where Jaxon began to fill out the registration form. Profile Created: Name: Jaxon Profession: Trap God Level: 20 Wins: 0 Losses: 0 His profile was complete. From here, he would begin building his reputation as a powerful hunter. He was then led to a battle room where he could be matched with his first opponent. A voice chimed in. ¡°Would you like to hide your identity?¡± ¡°Yes,¡± Jaxon replied. He had no intention of drawing attention to himself just yet. The last thing he needed was a target on his back. His opponent appeared shortly after, materializing across the room. A large, burly figure with a confident smirk on his face. Opponent Profile: Profession: Beast Tamer Level: 25 Wins: 5 Losses: 0 The Beast Tamer laughed as he read Jaxon¡¯s profile. ¡°You must be new, Trap God,¡± he sneered. ¡°I¡¯ll use you to add to my win streak.¡± Without hesitation, he summoned his beast a familiar figure. It was the Orc Boss, the very same one Jaxon had defeated in the dungeon three times.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Jaxon couldn¡¯t help but grin. ¡°This will be easy,¡± he muttered under his breath. He immediately began running around the arena, setting traps in strategic locations. To the Beast Tamer, it looked like Jaxon was just running in circles. ¡°Pathetic,¡± the Beast Tamer sneered. ¡°You¡¯re just running around like a fool.¡± Sensing something was off, the Beast Tamer activated a Detection Scroll, hoping to reveal Jaxon¡¯s traps. But nothing appeared. Confident that Jaxon had failed to set anything, the Beast Tamer commanded the Orc to charge. Just as the Orc stormed toward Jaxon, the ground trembled. Jaxson new skill activated The Black Hole Trap-The trap creates a black hole sucking enemy¡¯s in and then exploding the massive creature was sucked into a swirling vortex of gravity. The Orc struggled, but the force was too strong. Before the Beast Tamer could react, he, too, was caught in the trap. The black hole exploded with a violent burst, sending both the Orc and the Beast Tamer crashing into the arena walls. A moment later, a voice declared: ¡°You have defeated your opponent.¡± Jaxon grinned, but then frowned as he realized something. ¡°Damn it. I forgot to place a bet,¡± he muttered to himself. The battle hadn¡¯t earned him anything other than bragging rights. His battle record now read: 1 Win, 0 Losses He glanced at the Orc Heavy Armor Set that had dropped from the dungeon boss. It was useless to him, but he figured it would come in handy in a trade. ¡°I want another challenger,¡± he called out. Almost immediately, a new opponent spawned. Opponent Profile: Profession: Archer Level: 26 Wins: 15 Losses: 1 The Archer smiled, her eyes glinting with confidence. ¡°A Trap God with only one win? The guy you faced must have sucked. I¡¯ll be the one to give you your first loss.¡± Jaxon smirked. ¡°I want to place a bet. If I win, give me common-level speed gear. If you win, I¡¯ll give you this common. Orc Heavy Armor Set.¡± The Archer raised an eyebrow. ¡°The armor¡¯s no use to me, but I have a friend who¡¯s a Tank, so I¡¯ll accept.¡± She stepped back, drawing her bow as the match began. Arrows flew through the air with deadly precision, forcing Jaxon to dodge while he began setting his traps. She watched him closely, but couldn¡¯t see any traps being laid. Frustrated, she activated her own Detection Scroll but still, nothing appeared. ¡°You didn¡¯t set anything!¡± she shouted, charging forward recklessly. Jaxon¡¯s Bear Trap triggered. The Archer¡¯s leg was caught, and she let out a scream as the trap sank into her skin, the pain real enough to cause her to wince. ¡°Do you surrender?¡± Jaxon asked, a calm smile on his face. ¡°Never to a Trap God!¡± she growled. With a flick of his wrist, Jaxon tossed a Landmine toward her. It exploded on impact, ending the battle in an instant. You have received: Common Speed Gear Your battle record is now: 2 Wins, 0 Losses Jaxon smiled as he equipped the speed gear. With this, he could set traps even faster and cover more ground during fights. He had barely dodged her arrows earlier, but now, with increased speed, he would be much more efficient. ¡°That¡¯s enough for today,¡± Jaxon said to himself. He left the arena, heading back to his cabin to install the new traps he had acquired. He was big on self-preservation and liked to be prepared for anything. He had no powerful family or guild backing him he was all alone, and he had to rely on his own strength to survive. Tomorrow, he would tackle a Level 30 dungeon. For now, rest was his priority. He couldn¡¯t wait to test his new skills on stronger enemies. Breaking New Limits The morning sun filtered through the trees around Jaxon¡¯s secluded cabin, casting dappled light across the clearing. After a night of rest, he felt reinvigorated, ready to tackle the next challenge. With his new speed gear equipped, he left for the Level 30 Dark Woods Dungeon a treacherous, densely wooded area shrouded in fog, where deadly creatures roamed, lying in wait. Jaxon entered the dungeon cautiously. Thick, twisted trees loomed overhead, their branches interwoven like jagged teeth. Strange growls echoed through the forest, while faint shadows darted in and out of the mist. This place was notorious for its Dark Wolves and Shadow Sprites creatures known for ambushing hunters. But Jaxon¡¯s eyes glinted with excitement; it was exactly the kind of environment his traps would thrive in. As he moved deeper, he could feel eyes watching him, and the eerie silence hinted at lurking danger. He began deploying traps in calculated positions along his path¡ªBear Traps hidden beneath fallen leaves, Landmines buried under loose soil, and his Black Hole Traps strategically placed in chokepoints. A Dark Wolf lunged at him from the mist. With a flash of fangs, it leapt straight into one of his Bear Traps. The jaws of the trap snapped shut, immobilizing the creature and dealing heavy damage. Before the wolf could even whimper, Jaxon triggered a Landmine nearby, obliterating the beast. With each creature that tried to attack him, his traps did the work, leaving Jaxon untouched. After a couple of hours, Jaxon had fought his way through waves of Dark Wolves and Shadow Sprites. His traps dismantled every ambush with brutal efficiency, allowing him to conserve his energy as his enemies fell into his carefully laid snares. Each kill gave him more experience, pushing him closer to his goal. Finally, he approached the heart of the dungeon a large clearing with an ancient, crumbling stone altar at its center. Towering above it, wrapped in shadows, was the Dungeon Boss: the Nightshade Alpha. It was a massive wolf-like creature, its fur blending into the darkness, eyes gleaming with a deadly intelligence. Unlike the regular wolves, the Alpha emitted an aura that seemed suppress Jaxon. ¡°This is the real test,¡± Jaxon muttered, smirking. He was ready. The Nightshade Alpha howled, a sound that echoed through the dungeon, alerting any remaining creatures nearby. Jaxon activated his Black Hole Trap in front of the altar, hoping the gravity would draw the beast in. But the Alpha resisted, only staggering slightly before charging forward with impressive speed. Jaxon dashed to the side, deploying more traps as he went. This time, he activated his Bear Trap and Landmine simultaneously. The Alpha barely avoided the Bear Trap, but as it stepped aside, it triggered a Landmine, blasting it back with a roar. Jaxon was relentless, deploying more traps and staying out of range. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. After a fierce battle of traps and lunges, the Alpha finally stumbled into a Black Hole Trap, its strength finally waning. Jaxon watched as the beast was sucked into the trap, struggling to escape, before the trap detonated in a powerful explosion. When the smoke cleared, the Nightshade Alpha lay defeated. Level Up! Jaxon could feel the surge of power as he hit Level 25. He had conquered the Level 30 Dark Woods Dungeon once, but now, he wanted more. With the power of his traps doing most of the heavy lifting, he knew he could handle repeat runs and push himself to higher levels. Over the next few days, Jaxon returned to the dungeon again and again, each time facing the dark, mist-laden woods and its monstrous inhabitants. The twisted trees, dense fog, and lurking shadows had become familiar terrain. Jaxon could practically map the entire dungeon by memory¡ªthe scattered rock formations, the crumbling ancient altars, and the narrow chokepoints where he¡¯d strategically place his traps. He cleared the dungeon faster and faster with each run, waves of Dark Wolves and Shadow Sprites continued to ambush him. But Jaxon was ready, deploying traps faster and more efficiently each time. His Bear Traps snapped shut around unsuspecting wolves, his Landmines blasted Shadow Sprites before they could even approach, and his Black Hole Traps pulled clusters of enemies in for a devastating finish. His newfound speed gear allowed him to set traps and evade enemies with ease, conserving energy for the real challenge: the Dungeon Boss, the Nightshade Alpha. Every encounter with the Alpha was a test, yet Jaxon had mastered a rhythm, cycling through traps and luring the beast into fatal positions. Each time he defeated the Alpha, he leveled up, feeling the power building with each victory. His traps became deadlier, his skills sharper. By the eighth dungeon run, he was moving with the confidence and precision of a seasoned hunter. On his final run, as Jaxon took down the Nightshade Alpha one last time, he felt a massive surge of power. His screen flashed: Level Up! Level 30 Achieved! He could barely believe it he¡¯d reached Level 30 in just a few days. His stats had skyrocketed, and as he glanced at his new abilities, his screen showed his latest skill: Skill Unlocked: Phantom Field Creates an area of illusory traps that appear real to the enemy, confusing and disorienting them. Real traps remain hidden underneath the illusions, making it nearly impossible for opponents to distinguish between decoys and real threats. Jaxon¡¯s eyes lit up. Phantom Field would make him an even more formidable opponent. Now, he could fill an entire battlefield with traps, both real and illusory, forcing his enemies to second-guess every move. With this, he could overwhelm even the strongest foes, setting layers of danger they couldn¡¯t see coming. He left the dungeon, his mind buzzing with ideas. He was closer than ever to becoming a legend in the Virtual Battle Arena. Now that he was Level 30, he had not only gained incredible power, but he also had enough skills to keep even the strongest hunters on edge. The path forward was clear: return to the Arena, test his new abilities, and show everyone what a Trap God could truly do.
