《THE FATALIS_Legend Of The Nuswantarians》 Ch 001_nazzares abhiseka ___~V~___ Nazzares Abhiseka - The Beginning of Destiny On a quiet night in the village of Gousan, a small settlement on the western edge of the Blora forest, within the Majapahit Kingdom, stood a humble house illuminated by the glow of an oil lamp. Inside, an elderly man named Abail, a former royal healer who now chose to live out his old age in peace with his only son, Nazzares Abhiseka, resided. Nazzares, a twelve-year-old boy with long black hair and a handsome face that reminded anyone of his late mother, had red pupils¡ªa unique trait passed down from his mother¡ªthat gave him a distinct appearance. In one corner of the house, Nazzares was busy examining a line of potions on the table. His hands moved swiftly, arranging small bottles containing colorful liquids, ensuring everything was in order. Once he was done, he let out a sigh of relief, then looked at his work with satisfaction. "Hmm... seems like everything is ready," he murmured quietly, wiping the sweat from his forehead. From the workroom, Nazzares''s voice could be heard calling, "Father! I''ve finished everything. The rest is up to you!" Abail, who was preparing the final potion in another room, smiled faintly upon hearing his son''s voice. "Alright, my child. Go to sleep," he replied warmly. As Nazzares slowly walked toward his bedroom, Abail turned his attention back to his worktable. In front of him were several potion ingredients, some half-prepared. He took an empty bottle, poured liquids from several vials, and began to stir carefully. "Hmm, just one more to go," he muttered, glancing at the order list beside him. He smiled slightly as he read one of the potion names. "The strong ''wife''s love'' potion... always a favorite among the royal aristocracy. Hahaha," he chuckled quietly. With care, he continued his work, making sure everything was perfect before dawn arrived. The next day, a bright morning embraced the village of Gousan. In front of a simple house, Nazzares stood with a large basket hanging on his back. The basket seemed too big for his small frame, but he was accustomed to this morning routine. "Father, I''m ready!" he called, his voice echoing around the house. From inside, Abail''s voice responded. "Wait a moment, my child!" His father was still busy preparing everything they needed for their trip to the forest to gather medicinal plants. This routine was a part of Nazzares''s life. Every morning, he would accompany Abail into the forest to gather various types of medicinal plants. Usually, the activity would last until midday, but sometimes they wouldn''t return until the sun was nearly set if the plants they were searching for were hard to find. As Nazzares sat in front of the house waiting for his father, a soft voice called his name. "Nazzares..." He turned and saw Kandhita, a village girl known as the village beauty. "Oh, Kandhita? You¡¯re here so early," he said, smiling. Kandhita returned the smile gently. "Yes, I just wanted to make sure you and your father are doing well. Are you going to gather plants again today?" she asked. "Of course," Nazzares replied with a wide smile. Kandhita, who had become a part of Nazzares''s family, had a habit of cooking for them. This morning, she came with the same intention. "Alright, I¡¯ll prepare food for you two at noon. Don¡¯t forget to eat well," she said with a sweet smile. Nazzares nodded enthusiastically. "Your cooking is always delicious, Kandhita. Thank you!" Soon after, Abail came out of the house, carrying additional equipment they would use in the forest. He was surprised to see Kandhita already there. "Ah, my daughter-in-law is here so early," he joked. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. "Yes, Father. I¡¯ll prepare a delicious meal for you two at lunchtime," Kandhita answered politely. Abail chuckled softly. "Alright, I¡¯ll leave this house in your care. Stay safe." "Yes, Father. Be careful on the road, Father, Nazzares," Kandhita called, waving as they began their journey toward the forest. As they walked along the path, Abail reflected on the relationship between Nazzares and Kandhita. They had been betrothed since infancy, a tradition in this village. At the age of fifteen, they would be officially married, following the customs of the time. Abail believed that a girl like Kandhita would be the right companion for his son, and he felt relieved knowing that the house was always safe in her care. Abail and Nazzares continued along the path leading to the forest, where they usually searched for and harvested medicinal plants. Abail had his own herb garden deep in the forest, far from the village''s hustle and bustle. "Father...!" Nazzares called, breaking the silence between their footsteps. "What is it, my child?" Abail replied, turning to look at his son walking beside him. "You said you¡¯re 52 years old now, right?" Nazzares asked curiously. "Yes, why?" Abail was a bit surprised by the question. "Then why am I only 12? Don¡¯t people marry when they¡¯re young?" Nazzares asked with honest bewilderment. Abail chuckled softly, recalling the struggles of the past. "Haha... Well, your mother and I had difficulty having children. After many years, we finally got you, my child." Abail smiled faintly, remembering his late wife. Nazzares fell silent for a moment, reflecting. "Hmm, alright... So, what do you want today? I¡¯ll make it happen!" he said enthusiastically. Abail laughed, teasing him slightly. "Grow up quickly and give me grandchildren, that¡¯s what I want... Hahaha!" Nazzares blushed and smiled shyly. "Ah, if that¡¯s the case, be patient, Father. I¡¯m still a child," he replied, unintentionally thinking about Kandhita. Abail laughed heartily at his son''s innocent answer. "Haha, take your time, my child... I¡¯ll wait," he said with a warm smile on his face. Since the passing of his wife, Abail had raised Nazzares alone. Although he was deeply affected by the loss, time had helped heal that wound. The sight of Nazzares growing more and more like his mother eased the longing that always lingered in Abail¡¯s heart. A while later, they arrived at the medicinal herb garden deep in the forest. They immediately began their work, sorting through the plants they had planted, taking care of them, discarding the rotting parts, and harvesting the ready ones. "My child, take care of the plants over there. I¡¯ll handle this part," Abail said gently, breaking Nazzares¡¯s focus as he worked. "Alright, Father," Nazzares responded promptly, moving to continue the task his father had given him. Under the scorching sun, the two worked with smiles. Even though the heat became intense, Nazzares continued to carry out his duties joyfully. There was something fulfilling in every step he took alongside his father in this garden¡ªan unbreakable bond between father and son, forged over time and love. By the time noon approached, Nazzares and Abail decided to head back home, as their baskets were full, and Kandhita was surely waiting for them. "Nazzares, let¡¯s go home, Kandhita is probably waiting," Abail said while carrying the large basket on his back. "Alright, Father," Nazzares replied. Together, they made their way back from the forest to the village. Meeting with the Raksha Creature In the middle of the day, under the scorching sunlight fading toward the evening, they were returning home with enough harvest to stock up on medicinal supplies for a week. TAP TAP TAP ¡ª the sound of their footsteps echoed in the peaceful forest, accompanied by the gentle breeze. However, that calm was abruptly shattered when a terrifying creature suddenly appeared in their path. "Father, what is that?" Zares asked, his voice trembling. Abail tried to calm him down, hiding his son behind his body as he said, "Stay calm," his reply short. Yet, his eyes remained vigilant. The creature appeared humanoid but with sharp teeth and eye sockets that penetrated all the way through its back, near the chest. It moved slowly, dragging its body along the ground. "Why is there a Raksha here? Where are the kingdom¡¯s soldiers? They should be on guard, eliminating creatures like this," Abail thought, sweating, his gaze locked on the terrifying Raksha in front of him. "My child, when I attack this Raksha, run as fast as you can!" Abail spoke urgently. "What about you, Father?" Zares asked, his voice filled with worry. "Hey, don¡¯t talk so much..." His words cut off as he realized the Raksha had already positioned itself right behind him, letting out a chilling sound. HARGGKK The Raksha¡¯s sound made Zares scream in fear. "AAA!" Zares screamed, his eyes wide with terror. With courage, Abail attempted to strike with his knife. SLASH! However, his attack only caused a small scratch. The Raksha appeared unaffected. RRKKHH The Raksha''s voice echoed, its gaze full of murderous intent. Swiftly, the creature strangled Abail, lifting him off the ground. HEGHK! HEGHK! Abail¡¯s voice choked as the Raksha¡¯s grip tightened. Seeing this, Zares immediately attacked without thinking. The Raksha noticed the child was about to strike, and in response, it slapped him, sending him crashing into a tree. BLAM!! "AAA!" Zares screamed as his body slammed into the ground. To be continued... Ch 002_Meeting the Elf Meanwhile, elsewhere, at the same time as Abail and Nazzares were attacked by the terrifying Raksha, four people were seen in the forest. Their attire resembled that of royal soldiers, complete with swords and shields. They were indeed soldiers of the Majapahit kingdom, currently stationed in the Blora forest area, which had recently been a hotspot for strange occurrences. "Captain, we have searched this area, and there is nothing suspicious," one of the soldiers reported to their captain. "Alright, you all stay here..." Before the captain could finish his sentence, he suddenly felt a strange aura surrounding the forest. "Captain, what''s wrong?" One of the soldiers, confused by the captain''s sudden silence, asked. "You wait here for a moment! I will be right back," the captain said, and without warning, he darted away at incredible speed, like the wind, leaving the other three soldiers behind. "Captain...!" one of the soldiers exclaimed, staring in disbelief as their captain disappeared in an instant. Meanwhile, the captain continued running at high speed, weaving between the towering trees of the forest. WHOOSH..!! As he got closer to the Raksha¡¯s presence, he was shocked by what he saw. A man was being choked by the Raksha, and a young child was lying on the ground, blood pouring from a head wound. Incredibly fast, the captain darted forward and struck the monster with his sword. WHOOSH..!! SLASHH..!! He sliced off the Raksha''s arm, and the elderly man collapsed to the ground. "CRASH!" The man breathed a sigh of relief as the Raksha¡¯s arm was severed and he fell. "ARGHH..!!" The Raksha¡¯s scream echoed, and without hesitation, the captain immediately finished the monster off with a swift strike. The Raksha¡¯s body was cleaved in two. SLASHH, and green blood sprayed from its body. As the Raksha¡¯s body hit the ground, it slowly began to disintegrate, turning into ashes and dissipating in the air. "Captain..!!" A voice called out from afar. It was one of the soldiers chasing after him, panting heavily from the sprint. The captain, seeing his subordinate approaching, said, "I told you to wait here, didn¡¯t I?" "Forgive us, Captain, but you often disappear, leaving us ordinary humans behind," the soldier replied. "Alright, take the child and the man back to the village, quickly," the captain ordered. "Understood," the soldiers responded respectfully. The injured Abail was then escorted back to his house by the royal soldiers, along with the bloodied Nazzares. As night fell, Nazzares remained unconscious until the evening. However, with his father¡¯s medical treatment, his wounds healed rapidly. When Nazzares woke up, he found himself lying in bed, his head wrapped in bandages, accompanied by a dull ache in his head. "AGHH..!! It hurts so much. What happened?" he muttered in confusion, trying to bear the pain in his head. Then he called out to his father, "Father! Father!" His voice was still hoarse. Abail appeared at the door. "Yes, my son. Go back to sleep. You''re still recovering," he said as he approached his only child. "Alright... but... I¡¯m really hungry," Nazzares replied. Seeing his son¡¯s pale face as he longed for food, Abail immediately called out to his future daughter-in-law. "Kandita..!! Bring some food, please..!"This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Upon hearing her future father-in-law¡¯s words, Kandita responded, "Alright, Father," as she prepared the food in the room behind. Kandita entered the room, carrying food, and as she saw Nazzares, tears welled up in her eyes, and she suddenly said, "Ha... I thought you were going to die! Haaaaa!" Her cry broke out. "Hey..! What¡¯s all this?" Nazzares said, feeling both confused and moved. Still weak, Nazzares couldn¡¯t feed himself, so Kandita fed him. While eating, he paused for a moment and asked his father, "Father, who helped us back there?" he asked, recalling the events in the forest. Abail, while puffing on his pipe, answered, "He¡¯s a Fatalis from the kingdom." Nazzares, upon hearing this, fell silent and continued eating, receiving bites from his future wife with care. ___~V~___ Meeting with the Elf The next morning, Zares woke up with a lingering dizziness in his head. "Aarhkk," Zares yawned. "Agh, damn... why is my head still spinning?" he murmured as he splashed water on his face and walked out of his house. While lost in thought, he accidentally spotted the Fatalis who had helped him before. Curiosity drove him to secretly follow the figure. He then made his move. Tap tap tap: walking quietly, sneaking around. "...huh? Why is that kid following me?" The elf noticed the child tailing him. Zares continued to follow the elf, moving cautiously from tree to tree. He wanted to know what the Fatalis was doing in the forest. However, the elf had already noticed him from the beginning. Suddenly, the elf turned and vanished as if swallowed by the earth. WUSH... "What? Where did he go? Why did he disappear like that?" Zares looked left and right, searching for the figure. But then, suddenly... "Hey... what are you looking for?" The voice came from behind him, startling Zares. He quickly turned around and saw the elf leaning against a tree, his arms crossed over his chest. "Mmm.. aa... no.. aa... I just wanted to thank you for helping me the other day," Zares said nervously. "Go home. Villagers are forbidden to enter the forest for a while," the elf said coldly. Zares, now observing more closely, realized something. "His ears... they''re like the neighbor''s cat that always steals fish," he thought to himself. He squinted his eyes at the elf and said, "You¡¯re from the orc race, it¡¯s the first time I¡¯ve seen an orc around here." "Hey, I¡¯m an elf, you damn kid...!!" The elf responded, frowning at being mistaken for an orc. "Enough. I said go home. Your life is not my responsibility if a Raksha shows up again," the elf continued sternly. "Alright, Elf. But, may I become your student? I want to become as strong as you, a Fatalis," Zares asked eagerly. The elf chuckled softly, "...hehh..." "You brat! Becoming a Fatalis isn¡¯t something you can achieve by training, sitting, and meditating like some stupid CULTIVATION story, kid! So go home!" Then, the elf turned and walked away, looking back at Zares and urging him to leave. However, Zares didn¡¯t give up. He startled the elf, who was walking away, with his power. "Fine, I¡¯ll prove to you that I was born a Fatalis too," he said, pointing his hand at a small rock near them. "Tch... whatever you say, kid," the elf replied, waving his hand dismissively, not even looking at Zares as he walked away. Zares focused on the rock in front of the elf¡¯s steps and raised his palm toward it. Slowly, the rock began to levitate. "Aaaaaaaa," Zares exerted all his energy. The elf was surprised. In his mind, he wondered, "How is this kid doing this, just by pointing his hand at the rock and making it levitate?" Finally, Zares stopped his effort, panting. "Aahh... it¡¯s still tiring to do this," he groaned. The elf, seeing this, took the initiative to ask about his mother. Everyone knew that only the womb of a Fatalis woman could bear a child with such mystical abilities. "Hey, kid! Is your mother a Fatalis, and who is she?" the elf asked, curious. Zares, still catching his breath, replied, "My mother is Falguni Abhiseka," he said while regulating his breathing. The elf''s eyes widened, recognizing the name. Then, the elf asked again. "What¡¯s your name, kid?" the elf asked. "Oh, my name is Nazzares Abhiseka," Zares answered loudly. "Hmm, so that old man, Abail, he¡¯s quite old," the elf thought to himself. He then recalled something from the past with an old friend. The elf squinted his eyes and looked at Zares intently while holding his chin with his right hand. Then he said: "Alright, kid. Meet me here tomorrow. From now on, you are my student. Hahaha!" The elf said with a slight sense of joy, as he was accepting a student from a family he knew from the past. "Really? Hooray! I¡¯ll call you Master! But, what is your name, Master?" Zares said, already filled with excitement. "My name is Vitjendra," the elf replied calmly, while running his fingers through his long hair. "Alright, Master Vitjendra. I¡¯ll meet you tomorrow," Zares said with great enthusiasm, then ran home smiling. Zares danced and sang all the way home. Vitjendra watched the boy¡¯s back and muttered to himself, "So, he¡¯s your grandchild? The world is indeed small, but maybe this is just a coincidence since I¡¯m on a mission in this village?" The elf thought, though this was merely the writer''s scenario to bring them together. However, from that meeting, Zares would eventually become someone fully embraced by the Fatalis destiny, bearing a very heavy fate. To be continued... Ch 003_basic mystical energy The next day, Nazzares went to the same place as yesterday, where he had been caught following master Vitjendra. Filled with excitement, he ran toward the forest. However, upon arriving, master Vitjendra was nowhere to be seen. ¡°master hasn''t come yet.¡± While waiting, Zares practiced a random martial arts move, just striking the air. "Hiiaaatt, hiaaattt!" he continued, looking upwards with a smile. ¡°Hahahahahahaha¡¡± Zares laughed, lost in his thoughts. Suddenly, master Vitjendra appeared beside him. ¡°Turns out, you¡¯re just as foolish as he was,¡± said master Vitjendra, observing Zares laughing alone in the middle of the forest. ¡°Hey!¡± called master Vitjendra. ¡°Wow, master! Since when were you here?¡± Zares asked, confused by his sudden appearance. ¡°Since earlier! Alright, are you ready to train today? I¡¯ve found a good spot for our training,¡± said master Vitjendra. ¡°Absolutely ready, master!¡± Zares answered enthusiastically. ¡°Good. Before we start, I¡¯d like to ask you a few things on the way to the training ground,¡± master Vitjendra said, as he began walking. ¡°Sure!¡± Zares responded eagerly. Master Vitjendra asked many things about Zares: his age, his mother, his grandfather, and when he first discovered his powers. Zares, as the one being questioned, answered with great enthusiasm. ¡°You¡¯re still very young. You remind me of your grandfather. I met him when he was just a child.¡± ¡°Grandfather? How old are you now, master?¡± Zares asked, curious. ¡°132 years old.¡± ¡°Wow!!¡± Zares was surprised to hear his Guru''s confession that he was over 100 years old. During their journey, master Vitjendra also explained in detail about the Fatalis like himself and Zares. --- A FATALIS Master Vitjendra slowly explained what a Fatalis is. A Fatalis is someone destined by bloodline, passed down from a mother who is also a Fatalis. Fatalis are just fragments of power that serve to balance the forces of the Earth. --- INHERENT MYSTIC TECHNIQUES Master Vitjendra also explained that Fatalis are born with an inherent mystic technique. An inherent mystic technique can only be one type; no Fatalis has two powers at once, like Fire and Water. If it¡¯s fire, then it¡¯s only fire, and the same goes for others. Then, they perform mudra (hand seals) as one of the prerequisites to activate their mystic techniques. There are many conditions to activate an inherent mystic technique, depending on how the technique works. However, master Vitjendra was a bit surprised when Zares demonstrated his power, as Zares didn¡¯t use mudra (hand seals) to unleash his mystic technique, nor did he recite any mantras. A Fatalis cannot release their mystic technique without fulfilling the conditions, except when they take the binding oath. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. ¡°Binding oath?¡± Zares, not understanding what his Guru was explaining, asked. However, master Vitjendra told him not to worry about it, as he would eventually understand on his own. Upon reaching the training location that Master Vitjendra wanted to show him, Zares realized it was a place he had visited before. ¡°Oh, this place. I often come here when I¡¯m looking for medicinal plants. But sometimes, I also see strange animals and creatures, Master?¡± Master Vitjendra replied that these were mystical creatures who avoided beings like humans and elves, or those similar to him. They wouldn¡¯t be disturbed nor would they disturb others. Without further ado, Master Vitjendra immediately began the training. ¡°Alright, let¡¯s start training,¡± said Master Vitjendra, instructing Zares to stand in front of him and urging him to listen carefully to his explanation. Master Vitjendra began explaining that every Fatalis is granted power from the will of the heavens, allowing them to directly access Mystical Energy (energi mistis) within themselves, which is an absolute requirement to use their inherent mystic technique. The First Training: Walking on Water with Basic Mystic Energy For the first training, Master Vitjendra demonstrated how he gathers mystic energy so that he can walk on water. ¡°Tap tap tap...¡± The sound of Master Vitjendra¡¯s footsteps echoed as he walked on the water. Nazzares, who was watching, was very impressed by what his master was doing. "Wow!" "Try doing what I just did." "Alright, Master" Nazzares began to mimic what his master had done, focusing on sensing the mystic energy within his body. ¡°Focus, feel the mystic energy in your body, Zares,¡± Nazzares thought to himself as he attempted his first trial. In the calmness, accompanied by the sound of the river and the gentle breeze, Nazzares closed his eyes and tried to focus. After a few minutes, Nazzares could feel the mystic energy within his body. Master Vitjendra then instructed him to approach the river. "Try, step on the water," Master Vitjendra said, keeping a close eye on him. Nazzares cautiously stepped towards the river. Slowly, one of his feet touched the water and felt solid. He then stepped forward with the other foot and began walking on the water. He succeeded on his first attempt. "Yeeaa... I did it, Master!" Nazzares cheered and jumped on the water. Splash! Splash! Splash! The sound of Nazzares'' joyous jumps on the river''s surface filled the air. Seeing his disciple''s excitement, Master Vitjendra immediately reminded him not to get too carried away. Just because he was a Fatalis, it was easy for him to accomplish this. For all Fatalis, a successful first trial in basic training is a common thing. --- The Second Training: Walking on a Vertical Surface Next, Master Vitjendra demonstrated how to walk on a vertical surface. He then instructed his disciple to try it himself. ¡°Yup, look closely, you must unite your mystic energy with every surface,¡± Master Vitjendra said while standing sideways on a large tree trunk. He then jumped down after demonstrating the technique. ¡°WUGH!¡± Master Vitjendra jumped and landed smoothly on the ground. Then he told his disciple, ¡°Alright, now try it yourself.¡± "Okay!" Nazzares answered loudly. Nazzares immediately gave it a try. Although he failed several times, he didn¡¯t give up and continued trying until he succeeded. CRASH...!! He fell. "Damn!" Master Vitjendra continued to observe him from behind and shouted, "Hey, feel your mystic energy first, don¡¯t rush your steps!" He reminded Nazzares that what he was doing was wrong. ¡°Alright!¡± Nazzares answered, focusing again. He thought to himself, ¡°I hope this works.¡± Slowly, Nazzares began to match the stability of his steps and started walking on the vertical tree surface. On his first step, he struggled to balance his body. ¡°Atatatata, keep your balance.¡± However, after contemplating and focusing on his mystic energy, he began to take slow steps. With his body starting to sweat, Nazzares gradually increased his pace. "Don¡¯t rush, focus on controlling your mystic energy," Master Vitjendra called out from below. "Focus, Zares, focus," Nazzares told himself in his mind. He continued to walk toward the top but slipped halfway because he lost focus in controlling his mystic energy. However, he quickly recovered and managed to reach the top. "Master...!!!! I did it!" Nazzares shouted happily from the top of the tree. Master Vitjendra smiled faintly, seeing that, and immediately told him to come down so they could move on to the next stage. "Alright, next, perhaps it¡¯s better to train your physical strength to make you stronger. Seeing your condition, it looks like you¡¯re not used to hard work." "Hehehe... I¡¯m just the child of a healer, and my work doesn¡¯t involve heavy physical labor," Nazzares answered with a hint of embarrassment. "I have to leave, there are matters I need to attend to. Try to improve your control over your mystic energy so that you can stay on the water longer and move freely on the vertical surfaces," Master Vitjendra instructed his disciple. "Alright, Master. I will do it." After Master Vitjendra left Nazzares alone at the training site, Nazzares continued his training, doing what his Guru had instructed, though with some difficulty. The basic training continued for the next five days, always under the watchful eye of his master, until Nazzares became accustomed to it. To be continued... Ch 004_Practice Physical strength On a bright morning, Nazzares had already arrived at the training grounds. However, before his master arrived, he took the opportunity to practice on his own, mastering the basic techniques of energy control that his master had taught him. "Alright, focus, focus." Nazzares, while concentrating on channeling his energy throughout his body, stood upright on the vertical terrain for a long time. "Yosss, I''m getting better at this, maybe..." Brraakk! When he got too excited, Zares lost focus and fell to the ground. "Damn...!! How did I fall?" Zares said while grimacing in pain. Not long after he fell, his master arrived. "Master..." Zares shouted, calling his master from a distance while waving his hand. Master Vitjendra, upon arrival, immediately asked, "Are you ready for today''s training?" asked Master Vitjendra. However, before starting the training, Master Vitjendra told Nazzares that he might leave the village temporarily and would return in two weeks or more. So, Nazzares must listen carefully to everything Master Vitjendra has to say for the next week. Nazzares, understanding his master¡¯s busy schedule, replied, "Okay, Master!" with excitement. Master Vitjendra wanted to train his disciple¡¯s physical strength. He planned to strengthen Nazzares'' body with physical exercises, without using energy. Upon hearing his master''s explanation, Nazzares immediately agreed to everything his master said. "Alright, Master, I will do it!" the disciple replied enthusiastically. PHYSICAL TRAINING Running around the training area for several laps, then swimming against the current in the waterfall river, followed by doing push-ups with extra weight on his back. Over the next few days, Nazzares'' physical conditioning would continue until he was truly ready to increase the intensity. On another day... Nazzares was doing push-ups with his master sitting on top of him. "Arrgh, arrghh," Nazzares¡¯ breath was heavy after doing several of them. "Hey, hurry up, stop being spoiled," Master Vitjendra teased. "Alright, Master," replied the disciple, his hands already trembling. By midday, they took a short break. During the break, a question came to Nazzares'' mind. "Master, why did Raksha have a hole in his chest yesterday?" Zares asked, still unclear about what a Raksha was. What is Raksha...? Nazzares, curious about Raksha, remembered that when he was younger, his mother only told him that the creature was frightening. Master Vitjendra then explained that Raksha was a creature from another dimension, specifically from the Ashura dimension. They are bloodthirsty beings that attack anything in their path. After hearing his master¡¯s explanation, Nazzares seemed unsure, but he dismissed the thought and said, "Hmm, okay Master, I understand." Glancing at his disciple, the master replied, "Good, if you understand." Nazzares was very happy to hear new things from his master. Because he had asked so many questions, Master Vitjendra quickly instructed him to continue his training. "Continue your training. The break is over." "Alright, Master." Zares resumed his physical training, now with an increased intensity. A while later, as the evening approached and the sky turned orange, when his master told him to stop and head home, Zares fainted from exhaustion. "BLUGH!" With quick reflexes, Master Vitjendra caught his disciple¡¯s body. "You spoiled child! It seems your father pampered you too much," said Master Vitjendra, who, seeing his disciple faint, immediately carried him and took him home. At Abail''s Residence, Night The night felt quiet in the small village. Only the sound of crickets accompanied the conversation of two men in the living room of Abail''s house. The oil lamp in the corner of the room emitted a dim light, casting faint shadows on the walls. Meanwhile, Nazzares was fast asleep in his room. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. Guru Vitjendra sipped a cup of warm tea prepared by Abail, his smile spreading as he looked back at his old friend. "I can''t believe you''re the son-in-law of my friend. The world is really small!" Vitjendra said, laughing lightly. Abail smiled faintly. "I never expected it either, Sir. When we first met, I didn¡¯t even realize it was you." Vitjendra laughed heartily. "And look at you now, older than me! Hahaha! But tell me, Abail, why did you choose to live in such a remote village?" Abail''s expression slightly changed, as if reminiscing something. "It was my wife''s request, Sir. After the incident 12 years ago, she wanted us to leave it all behind... to live peacefully, far from the crowds, and spend time together." Vitjendra nodded slowly, his eyes distant. "I understand. That time must have been hell for anyone. Your choice was wise, though I think it''s a great loss for the kingdom¡ªlosing a talented healer like you." Abail lowered his gaze, giving a slight smile. "You''re exaggerating, Sir. The kingdom never runs out of talent. I¡¯m just a small part of it." "Heh, you''re too humble!" Vitjendra leaned back in his chair. "But I know one thing, without your healing, many of my men wouldn''t have survived their wounds." "It¡¯s my duty, Sir," Abail responded politely. "But... is the situation really that bad now? Such wounds usually appear if the Raksha are strong enough." Vitjendra''s expression hardened. "I don¡¯t want the events of 12 years ago to repeat, Abail. All the kingdoms in Nuswantorra are on high alert now. They''re inspecting every suspicious place, especially areas inhabited by mystical creatures. Including the forest around this village." "In that case, I must be more careful," Abail murmured, looking at the floor. Vitjendra nodded. "And about Nazzares... You don¡¯t mind if I train him, do you? I see great potential in him. He could become a great Fatalis someday." Abail looked up, smiling proudly. "It would be a great honor, Sir. If you train him, I¡¯m sure he¡¯ll be like you." "Hahaha!" Vitjendra laughed aloud. "Don¡¯t praise me too much, Abail. Think of me as your family. I¡¯ve already considered your wife like my own daughter." "Thank you, Sir. It¡¯s a great honor for our family," Abail replied in a soft but sincere voice. Vitjendra set down his teacup and stood up. "Alright, it¡¯s getting late. I must return to the base to ensure everything is running smoothly." Abail also stood and bowed respectfully. "I have also received orders to supply potions to the base. I will carry it out to the best of my ability." Vitjendra patted his shoulder. "I leave everything to you. See you, Abail." "See you, Sir." Guru Vitjendra walked out of the house with confident steps. The moonlight illuminated the path that led him back to the military base of the kingdom. --- The Next Morning In the morning mist, Kandita was already on her way to her future husband''s house, talking to herself along the road. "I¡¯ll make grilled chicken today. Nazzares will definitely love it." Smiling, Kandita headed to Zares'' house, carrying ingredients for him and his father. However, when Kandita was almost there, she saw Nazzares and immediately called out to him. "Hey, Zares!" then asked, "Where are you going? I¡¯m going to cook for you," with an inquisitive tone. "Eh..!! Kandita..!!" Nazzares answered while turning to look at her. "Oh yeah, I haven¡¯t told you yet. Well, since you¡¯re here," he continued. With a tilted head, Kandita asked, "What is it?" "I¡¯ve been training to become a Fatalis with Guru Vitjendra. The Fatalis who helped me when I was in the forest!" Kandita, hearing that, immediately fell silent and pouted, recalling a story about the Fatalis. Then, she said something to Nazzares, "Fatalis? Oh yeah, your mother was also a Fatalis, right? That means you¡¯re a Fatalis too," Kandita said with a pouting face. Nazzares, seeing Kandita¡¯s pout, asked, "Hey, why¡¯s your face all pouting like that? What¡¯s wrong?" "You haven¡¯t changed your mind, right? After you fully become a Fatalis? I¡¯ve heard that a Fatalis can only marry a woman who¡¯s also a Fatalis," said the lovesick girl, her bottom lip jutting forward, and her eyes red. Nazzares tried to calm Kandita down by saying, "Hey, don¡¯t worry... Even if you''re not a Fatalis, I will still choose you as my only wife." He said this with the innocence of a twelve-year-old who didn¡¯t understand anything about marriage. "Can I trust you?" Kandita said, holding back tears. "Of course! Stop crying. In three years, we¡¯ll get married, won¡¯t we?" "Yes, but still, I¡¯m afraid you¡¯ll change your mind." "Don¡¯t worry, I promise there will be no other wife or woman besides you," Nazzares said to reassure Kandita. "Alright," Kandita said, wiping her tears. Suddenly, she kissed Zares on the cheek. Nazzares was taken aback. "Eh? What was that?" Zares stood stunned, his face turning red. CRACK (the sound of a door opening) Not long after, Abail emerged from the house and said, "Oh, my daughter-in-law... Looks like you¡¯re going to cook some delicious food today." But there was something odd about their behavior, and he asked, "But why are both of your faces so red?" Abail asked, surprised to see Kandita at the house with Nazzares. "It¡¯s nothing, Father," Kandita replied with a smile. "Hmm¡ Alright, looks like I¡¯ll leave the house to you," Abail said, preparing to leave. "Where are you going, Father?" asked Kandita, noticing Abail was bringing some supplier for a trip. "I¡¯m going to the military base to monitor the supplies of medicine there." "When will you be back?" "Maybe at night." "Night? Isn¡¯t the kingdom forbidding us from going out at night for now?" Kandita replied with a bit of worry. "Don¡¯t worry, a Fatalis and a royal soldier will escort me to the village gate." "Thank goodness. Alright, be careful, Father. I¡¯ll make you a delicious dinner when you come home." "Yes, I can¡¯t wait to return. Daughter-in-law, your cooking is the best. Well then, I¡¯ll be going now." "Hey, Zares, take good care of my daughter. If not, I¡¯ll kill you," Abail said while putting an arm around Zares¡¯ neck in a threatening manner. "Be careful, Father," Kandita said, waving her hand. --- After Abail left... "Zares, after this food is cooked, where should I deliver it?" "Don¡¯t worry, just make delicious food. I¡¯ll pick you up at noon. Take good care of the house, alright? I¡¯m leaving now. And make food for my teacher as well," said Zares, preparing to leave. "Alright." Kandita replied. Nazzares immediately leapt between the trees, and Kandita, who saw this, was amazed. "How can he do that? Wow... Hmm, never mind, I¡¯ll just cook, na-na-na-na," Kandita said, watching Nazzares, and then entered the house. To be continued... Ch 005_Variant manifestation of myatic energy The sound of water flowing in the river where Zarres and Vitjendra trained could be heard on this cold morning, still covered by the morning dew. Nazzares had already started his push-up training with weights on his back. Meanwhile, Master Vitjendra, who was heading to the training area, was surprised. "He''s already started," Master Vitjendra said from a distance. He immediately approached his student and said, "My student! Stop for a moment! I will explain today''s training," the teacher casually admonished him. ¡°Braaak!¡± Nazzares dropped the rock from his back. ¡°Alright, teacher,¡± Nazzares replied as he immediately stopped his training. Master Vitjendra then explained what the training would be today. Today''s training was about the manifestation of mystic energy and its variations. VARIANT MANIFESTATION OF MYSTIC ENERGY Observation... First, mystic energy as observation. This mystic energy allows a Fatalis to sense the presence of objects around them, even while they are asleep. This energy is extremely useful in battle because it helps to detect the number of enemies, their mystic energy levels, and monitor a wide area. Additionally, this energy helps a Fatalis anticipate incoming attacks. Enhancement... Second, mystic energy for attack and defense. When a Fatalis has fully mastered basic mystic energy, this energy can enhance their strikes by coating their fists. Additionally, mystic energy can be used as a sturdy shield to protect oneself. Mystic Aura... Third, the mystic conquering aura, or mystic aura of the conqueror. This aura is highly effective at intimidating opponents because the mystic energy emitted by a Fatalis reflects the extent of their strength. The mystic aura will automatically manifest when using high-level mystic techniques that have been mastered from innate mystic techniques. --- Master Vitjendra, after explaining everything, asked his student, ¡°Alright, do you understand what I¡¯ve explained?¡± ¡°Yes... no, teacher!¡± Nazzares answered with enthusiasm and a loud voice. Master Vitjendra, a little annoyed that Nazzares immediately said no, took the initiative to demonstrate. Master Vitjendra took a long white cloth and closed his eyes. Then, he told his student that he was free to attack him in any way. ¡°Alright, you can throw stones at me and attack me however you like.¡± ¡°Really? Alright, teacher, I will do it!¡± Nazzares immediately began attacking blindly. Anything he saw would be thrown, whether it was stones, river water, tree branches, rats, pigs, deer, cats, underpants, and occasionally he tried to kick or punch his teacher. ¡°Hiaaat!¡± PRAKK! ¡°Feel this!¡± BLAKK! ¡°Aaaaaaaaa!¡± However, in the end, none of his attacks hit his teacher. ¡°Damn! Why didn¡¯t any of them land?¡± Nazzares, exhausted and breathing heavily, complained. ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll explain later, now let¡¯s move on to the next phase,¡± said Master Vitjendra as he prepared for the next training: mystic energy for attack and defense. "WESSTT" The sound of mystic energy flowing. Master Vitjendra channeled mystic energy into his left hand, and then he struck a hard rock in front of him. BLAMM! BRAKK! The rock shattered, and Nazzares, who saw it, was very surprised and amazed. ¡°Wow!¡± ¡°Alright! This is the last one,¡± said Master Vitjendra to keep Nazzares focused on what he was about to do for the final variant of mystic energy. ¡°It seems like the mystic aura doesn¡¯t need to be too strong because this is just a training session,¡± Vitjendra thought to himself. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Master Vitjendra took a deep breath, and instantly pebbles, small stones, leaves, and twigs around him began to float because of the immense mystic aura he was releasing. WUSSS! HSSSTT! Nazzares, feeling and seeing it, immediately broke out in a cold sweat from what his teacher was doing. ¡°Alright, now try to perform mystic energy observation.¡± ¡°Alright, teacher,¡± Nazzares replied confidently. The First Mystic Energy Training: Observation Zares closed his eyes with a cloth and focused on his surroundings, trying to control his mystic energy to observe. "BRAKK!" A chunk of wood hit him right in the face. "Dammit!! You old man!" Zares winced in pain. "Hey, I told you to focus, you brat," Vitjendra said with a sarcastic tone. BLAKK! "Aaah, it hurts." GLUKK! "Agghh." PRAKK! "Ouch, ouch." Zares still couldn''t dodge his master''s attacks because he was relying on his five senses. After a while, midday approached... "Master, I''m heading home. My fianc¨¦e is cooking a delicious meal for us, so please wait a moment," Zares said as he prepared to pick up Kandhita. "Fianc¨¦e...? Aaaah, alright then, hurry up. I''m already starving," Vitjendra responded. Zares ran off, leaping between the trees. Meanwhile, Vitjendra, who was puzzled by Zares'' words about having a fianc¨¦e, thought to himself, "Why do humans marry so young? They''re still children... Ah, never mind. I don''t want to marry before I''m 200 years old," he muttered. At Zares'' house, a delicious aroma came from the back kitchen. Zares saw the food neatly wrapped in banana leaves inside a bamboo food container, ready to be taken to the training ground. "Wow, it''s all ready." "Kandhita! Kandhita!" Zares called out, looking for her. "Yeah...!! I''m in the room next door," Kandhita responded, raising her voice. "Alright! I''ll wait for you outside. Hurry up, Master is waiting," Zares called out as he stood by the door. "Alright, one more minute!" Kandhita answered. A minute later... Tap, tap, tap, tap. The sound of footsteps approached, and Kandhita appeared, looking stunning in a batik kebaya passed down from Zares'' mother. Her hair was braided and draped over her shoulder. "Wow... You look beautiful," Zares said, surprised at how lovely Kandhita looked in his mother''s clothes. "Mm... Sorry, I spilled water on my clothes, so I had to wear your mother''s dress, which fits me a bit," Kandhita said, feeling a little guilty for wearing Zares'' mother''s dress without asking. "Hey, no problem. If my father saw you, he''d probably cry and say, ''Oh my wife, look at our daughter-in-law,''" Zares replied, joking, causing Kandhita to laugh. "Heh, hahaha." Zares and Kandhita made their way to the river deep in the forest. "Hey, isn''t it pretty far from here?" "Don''t worry, we''ll get there quickly. Come closer to me." Zares suddenly lifted Kandhita and said, "Wrap your arms around me." "Haa? Alright!" Kandhita responded, confused, but followed his instructions. "Hold on tight, and don''t let the food fall," Zares said, lifting both of Kandhita''s legs with one hand. "Eh?" Kandhita was slightly startled. "Yoshhh... Hiaaat!" Zares jumped into the air. WUSH! "AAAAA, we''re going to fall... AAAAA, not too high," Kandhita said with fear as Zares carried her while jumping through the trees. "Relax... Just enjoy it, we won''t fall," Zares reassured her. Kandhita tried to calm down, and after she did, she realized that the view of the forest from the treetops was beautiful. Seeing Kandhita smile made Zares happy because she wasn''t afraid anymore. Meanwhile, Master Vitjendra, who had been waiting, was getting impatient. "They¡¯re taking so long. I¡¯m starving!" he thought, feeling hungry. Finally, Vitjendra sensed Zares'' presence through the trees, and saw him carrying a girl. "So, that''s your fianc¨¦e, my student?" Vitjendra asked when Zares arrived with Kandhita. "She¡¯s very beautiful, isn¡¯t she?" Zares replied proudly. Zares introduced his fianc¨¦e to Master Vitjendra, and they ate together by the riverbank. During the meal, Kandhita focused on Vitjendra and said, "This is the first time I''ve seen an elf in person. Master Vitjendra is really handsome and looks strong," she remarked after observing Vitjendra''s appearance. Hearing this, Zares whispered to Kandhita, "Hey, don¡¯t be fooled. Even though he looks like that, he''s already 100 years old... You should call him ¡®grandpa¡¯." "Haaaa... Really?" Kandhita was surprised by Zares'' comment. "Yeah... Sssstt, don¡¯t let him hear you, or he¡¯ll get mad," Zares whispered back. Master Vitjendra, who heard the conversation using his Mystic Energy observation, immediately put on a furious face. "Hey, do you think I can''t hear you? Haaa!" he said with a menacing look. "AAAAA... Please forgive me, Master!" Zares said, scared. Kandhita couldn''t help but burst into laughter at how both teacher and student were acting foolishly. The mood during their lunch turned lighthearted and uncontrollable. ----- The Training Resumes.. Zares resumed his training. He focused intensely on his mystic energy for observation. Kandhita sat a distance away, watching him quietly. "Feel everything around you¡ªtrees, rocks, birds, the flow of the river. You must be able to observe all of it," shouted Master Vitjendra. WHOOSH! Master Vitjendra threw a stone toward Zares. This time, Zares successfully dodged it. The master walked slowly around Zares, continuing to throw small stones at him. "Good, you''re getting the hang of it," shouted Master Vitjendra to encourage him. Master Vitjendra quickened his pace, throwing a series of stones faster and faster. Then, he mixed in attacks with a wooden stick. Zares managed to avoid most of the attacks, but a few hit him due to his still stiff movements. As the evening approached, they concluded the day''s training. "Tomorrow, I will teach you the basic techniques of Sundang Majapahit martial arts. You need to practice how to handle both unarmed combat and sword fighting. So, prepare yourself tomorrow. And get a good rest," said Master Vitjendra. "Yes, Master!" Zares replied eagerly. Master Vitjendra left the training ground first, followed by Zares and Kandhita. They strolled together, enjoying the view of the forest under the orange-colored sky. "How long will Master stay here?" Kandhita asked about Master Vitjendra. "I''m not sure, but he''ll probably leave soon and come back to the village in about two weeks or more," Zares answered. "Mmm, alright. While he''s gone, I''ll accompany you for practice and cook some good meals to boost your stamina," said Kandhita. "Thank you so much. By the way, are you trying to tease me with that loose kebaya?" Zares joked, teasing Kandhita¡¯s kebaya that had slipped down a little. "Eeeh! You pervert! Watch out!" Kandhita responded, a bit embarrassed with a reddening face. "Ah... forgive me... hahaha!" They headed home, laughing and playfully chasing each other. To be continued... Ch 006_Practice Sundang Majapahit After Kandita and Nazzares arrived at the house, Kandita immediately started preparing dinner for Nazzares'' father, who had not returned yet. "Zaresh, help me prepare dinner, your father will be home soon, right?" said Kandita while preparing the food. "Okay!" replied Zaresh. After their training, Kandita and Nazzares prepared dinner for Abail, who was expected to return soon. A while later, after the food was ready, Nazzares immediately asked Kandita to go home, worried that it was getting late. "It''s already getting late, it''s better if I take you home first." "Alright," answered Kandita. Nazzares then escorted Kandita home as the night grew later. Shortly after, as Nazzares returned from taking Kandita home, his father, Abail, arrived home from the military base. "Screech... click click," the sound of the door opening was heard, it was Abail returning from the military base in the Blora forest. "Where did the kids go?" he asked, noticing no one was at home. However, he was distracted by the delicious scent he smelled. "Oh wow, this smells like food for me. Alright! Time to eat," Abail said as he saw the delicious food on the table. Unable to resist his hunger, he immediately dug in. The door opened again after Abail finished his meal. "Oh, father... you''re home! I just took Kandita home," said Nazzares when he saw his father had returned. "Mm... hey, you and Kandita didn''t do anything while I was gone, did you?" Abail asked with a smile. "Do what?" Nazzares replied, narrowing his eyes. "You know what I mean! Rawr!" Abail said, winking several times. "No way! You''re just an old pervert," Nazzares retorted sarcastically. "Ha ha... hurry up, I want grandkids," Abail said while cleaning between his teeth. "Hah! I''m only 12 years old! I told you to be patient," Nazzares answered, a little annoyed. "Tch... I''m already 52 years old," his father muttered to himself. The night passed quickly... In the still dark morning, Nazzares headed to the training grounds. On the way, he tried to gauge the strength of his mystical technique by throwing a large stone in front of him. "Alright, I''ll give it a try." Nazzares aimed his hand at the stone. He focused for a moment and managed to move it, even if only for a short time. Whoosh... Crash! He dropped the stone, feeling pain in his hand. "Damn... not enough. I need to train my body harder," Nazzares said, unable to fully control his power. When he arrived at the training grounds, Nazzares immediately took off his shirt and started training physically with increased intensity. "I need to get stronger, quickly." ----- Meanwhile, at the Majapahit military base in the western Blora forest, the sound of swords clashing could be heard. The soldiers, with their large and muscular bodies, were training at the Majapahit military base in the eastern part of Blora forest. However, one soldier, who appeared out of nowhere, rushed into the special Admiral''s room to deliver an urgent report. "Commander! The investigation will be conducted tomorrow night. Everything is ready," the soldier reported urgently. "Alright, make sure all the soldiers are prepared. I will divide the forces into four groups. Each group will be accompanied by one Fatalis," said Master Vitjendra, outlining the plan. "Understood, Commander. However, there''s bad news, Commander," the soldier delivered another piece of news. "What is it?" the commander asked. "The elite Bayangkara force assigned to investigate the Raksha portal in the southern beach area was attacked by a group of Raksha, and three of them were killed," the soldier reported firmly. Admiral Vitjendra''s eyes widened, as if not believing what he heard. Then he responded, "What did you say? The Bayangkara is an elite force, and all its members are Fatalis. How could this happen?" Vitjendra was shocked by the news. "True, sir. But luckily, Queen Masalembo sent reinforcements, minimizing further casualties," the soldier replied. Vitjendra, troubled by the strange events of the past year, thought to himself, "I don''t want that incident to happen again." He recalled the incident 12 years ago that had killed his good friend, Drukja Abiseka. Then, Vitjendra walked away from the base. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. "Commander, where are you going?" the soldier asked, noticing that Admiral Vitjendra was leaving. "In a situation like this, I need to clear my mind. I want to find a quiet place to think," answered Commander Vitjendra as he walked away. "Understood, Commander," the soldier replied with a salute. During his journey, he was intercepted by his junior, a Fatalis from the Orc kingdom named Dhruv. Seeing Dhruv, Master Vitjendra immediately stopped and said, "What is it, Dhruv? Why are you blocking my way?" he asked, slightly annoyed by the interception. "I''ve been keeping an eye on you. Who is that human child you¡¯ve been training?" Captain Dhruv had apparently been watching Commander Vitjendra all along. "He''s my grandson," Vitjendra replied with a joking tone. "You''re an elf!" Captain Dhruv responded, unable to believe that an elf could have a human grandson. "Who knows. I consider him as such. Anyway, it''s none of your business," Commander Vitjendra answered wearily. "Alright... do as you wish," Dhruv replied. ------ Vitjendra went to the training ground as usual. Upon arriving, Master Vitjendra was both surprised and pleased to see that his disciple was so enthusiastic about training. He immediately approached Nazzares and greeted him. "Zares!" called out Master Vitjendra, who suddenly appeared. "Master? You¡¯ve arrived, it seems," Nazzares said, surprised by his teacher''s sudden appearance. "I¡¯ll be leaving in a few days to complete a mission. So, for today and the days ahead, I won¡¯t be able to supervise your training," said Master Vitjendra with a firm voice. "I understand, Master," Nazzares replied, seemingly aware that his teacher was embarking on an important mission. "As for the rest, I will teach you the basics of martial arts, Sundang Majapahit, and how to channel mystical energy into your weapon," explained Vitjendra. He continued, "I¡¯ll demonstrate the basic movements right away. Pay close attention." Vitjendra, not wanting to waste time, immediately began demonstrating. "Ready," replied Nazzares with enthusiasm. Master Vitjendra demonstrated the basic movements of the Majapahit Sundang martial arts with great fluidity. Nazzares, watching closely, was greatly impressed and captivated by the beautiful movements of the martial art. Time passed, and Master Vitjendra demonstrated everything, from the basic empty-handed combat movements to using weapons. After finishing the demonstration, he said to his disciple, "I¡¯ve shown you everything. Memorize it, tomorrow we¡¯ll begin practical training." He spoke with the intent of pushing Nazzares to become stronger. "Understood, Master," Nazzares replied with eagerness. "Oh, and here," suddenly Master Vitjendra pulled out a scroll from under his robe. "What¡¯s this, Master?" Nazzares asked, slightly confused as to why his teacher would give him a scroll. "This is a scroll of all the Majapahit martial arts movements, every movement of mine is in that scroll," answered his teacher. "Thank you, Master." From that moment, Nazzares began practicing the movements, training tirelessly with Vitjendra, whether it was empty-handed combat or using a small wooden stick to practice sword fighting, for days on end. ----- Practice hand-to-hand combat sundang majapahit In the midst of the Blora forest, heavy breaths echoed, "haa... haa...", accompanying the retreating steps of Nazzares. His small hands struggled to block the relentless blows from Master Vitjendra. "Buk! Plak! Dug!" The sound of impact between hands and body rang out, painful, yet Nazzares did not give up. He attacked with all his might, "Whoosh! Buk!", but Vitjendra easily dodged and counterattacked towards his shoulder, "Duk!" Nazzares staggered, his legs wobbling, but he pushed forward. His tired hands shot out with a straight punch, "Sret!", but once again, Vitjendra caught his wrist and spun Nazzares'' body until he fell to the ground. "Buk!" Nazzares'' small body slammed into the earth. His breath grew heavier, sweat streamed down his forehead, creating the sound of small droplets, "tuk... tuk..." He tried to rise, but his knees trembled. As Vitjendra approached, Nazzares raised his hand, but before he could strike, his body collapsed to the ground, gasping for air. Vitjendra stood silently, looking at the fallen Nazzares, then spoke briefly, "That''s enough for today." The sound of wind echoed again in the stillness, "woosh...", ending the brutal training session. ----- Practice the majapahit sundang committee using a wooden sword Nazzares stood upright, gripping the wooden sword tightly in both hands. In front of him, Vitjendra lightly spun his wooden sword. "Start," Vitjendra commanded briefly. Without hesitation, Nazzares moved to attack. He swung his sword towards Vitjendra''s body. "Buk!" The strike was easily blocked. "Attack again," Vitjendra said, counterattacking swiftly. "Plak! Duk!" His sword struck Nazzares'' shoulder, making him stagger. Nazzares gritted his teeth and continued. He tried to attack from the side, but Vitjendra dodged and countered with a strike to his leg. "Buk!" Nazzares tripped and nearly fell. "Don''t just attack without a plan. Read my movements," Vitjendra said as he attacked again, this time slower. Nazzares tried to parry the strike. "Trang!" The clash of wooden swords rang out loudly. His body shook from Vitjendra''s strength. The attacks continued. "Sret! Duk! Plak!" Nazzares tried to hold his ground, but Vitjendra''s movements were too fast. His breath grew heavier, his body slowing down. Finally, Vitjendra''s strike caused Nazzares'' wooden sword to fall. The young man collapsed to the ground, panting. Vitjendra lowered his sword. "That''s enough for today. You still need to improve your technique." Nazzares said nothing, only nodding quietly. He knew this was just the beginning of his long journey. And so, Vitjendra went on his mission. After Vitjendra left... On a bright morning, Nazzares was asked by his father to gather medicinal plants. Accompanied by Kandita, they ventured into the forest with a large basket on Nazzares'' back. "How was your training yesterday?" asked Kandita, holding a box in both hands. Nazzares thought the box was for storing plants. "As usual, quite exhausting, but it seems I''ve gotten a bit stronger," Nazzares replied, smiling. "Thank goodness... I have a gift for you. Today is your birthday, right?" Kandita said, extending the box with both hands towards Nazzares. "What is this?" Nazzares replied, staring at Kandita''s face. "Just open it," Kandita answered. Nazzares opened the wooden box, which contained a hand-sewn shirt from his beloved. "Wow, this is really nice," Nazzares said, delighted by the contents of the box. "I''m glad you like it," Kandita smiled sweetly. "Thank you so much," Nazzares said while examining his gift. "You''re welcome. Put it on," Kandita, wanting to see Nazzares wearing the gift. Nazzares took off his old shirt and started putting on the one given by his fianc¨¦e. But...? "Hey, why are you touching my stomach like that?" Nazzares was surprised. "Why is your body so firm and square? Wait... one... two... three..." Kandita poked Nazzares'' body. Kandita was pressing Nazzares'' body because she noticed the change in his physique due to the intense physical training over the past two weeks. "Hey... stop, that''s embarrassing," Nazzares laughed and told Kandita to stop. "Mm... okay," Kandita replied. They continued their journey to search for medicinal plants. By noon, they had gathered all the plants and headed back home. To be continued... Ch 007_Nazzares vs Raksha One week after Master Vitjendra left the village to continue his mission¡ªtracking down traces of the Raksha, who had begun terrorizing life across Javadipa and Nuswantorra. Nazzares had pushed his training to the extreme. Without using mystic energy to enhance his physical strength, he trained relentlessly. Unknowingly, within a month, his body had grown rapidly in height. Kandhita, who often accompanied her lover''s training, was baffled by the methods he used. "What kind of training is this? Now that the Master isn''t watching, he''s pushing himself to such an extreme." She worried about her fianc¨¦, as his training seemed almost unreasonable. As she watched Nazzares train, boredom crept in. She thought about taking a walk along the river. "Nazzares, I want to go for a walk for a bit. I''m getting really bored here," Kandhita called out, asking for permission. "Alright, but don''t go too far," Nazzares replied, his focus never wavering from his training. "Okay." Moments later... Nazzares continued his mystic energy observation training. He attempted to expand his domain perception, sensing everything around him¡ªfrom the trees, rocks, and flowing water to small animals and mystical beings like tree spirits and other mystical creatures. However, as he concentrated, he suddenly felt a mystic energy presence approaching Kandhita. Upon deeper observation, he realized¡ªit was a Raksha. "Damn...!! I have to hurry...!" Without hesitation, Nazzares dashed toward Kandhita¡¯s location at full speed. "KANDHITA, WATCH OUT!" he shouted, his voice filled with urgency as he sprinted with extraordinary speed. Kandhita turned around¡ªonly to be faced with a horrifying creature. "AAAAAHHH!" she screamed, realizing the monstrous being before her. SRAKK! A sharp claw strike slashed across her arm. Though she instinctively tried to dodge, she wasn¡¯t fast enough. Seeing the attack land, Nazzares'' fury ignited. He instantly accelerated, charging toward the Raksha with pure rage. "HIAAAGHH! DON¡¯T TOUCH KANDHITA!" he roared, his fist surging with mystic energy as he struck the creature with full force. BLAM! The Raksha was blasted backward, crashing into the trees. Nazzares immediately rushed to Kandhita¡¯s side. "Kandhita, are you okay?!" he asked anxiously, his hands trembling as he inspected her wound. "Yeah, it''s just a small scratch. It doesn¡¯t hurt much," Kandhita replied, holding her injured arm. "What! A little scratch!" said nazzares with burning anger. Then he turned to the raksha with an angry glare. The Battle Begins As he hugged Kandhita, who was crying in fear, Nazzares turned around and told her to hide immediately. His emotions, already at a peak, caused his mystic energy to surge uncontrollably. Nazzares stepped slowly toward the Raksha, but his sharp eyes were fixed on the creature, which was starting to rise after taking a heavy blow from him. Tap, tap, tap: The sound of Nazzares'' footsteps echoed with menace, accompanied by his mystic energy swelling uncontrollably. The Raksha, seeing Nazzares approach, howled in fury with an ear-piercing roar, "HRAAAGKGKH!" Without further hesitation, Nazzares dashed toward the Raksha at lightning speed, striking it with a punch reinforced with mystic energy. BLAMMUnauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. The Raksha was hit squarely by the blow. However, it quickly retaliated, swiping at Nazzares with its razor-sharp claws. The battle raged between the trees, each exchanging blows. Nazzares, unaccustomed to direct combat, found himself struggling due to his lack of experience in hand-to-hand fighting. After a few moments, they were both sent flying in opposite directions. BRAKK..!! "Looking at its form, it seems like just a regular Raksha, not a high-level one... Alright, I''ll finish it with one blow," Nazzares said, his gaze filled with rage. Nazzares focused on concentrating his mystic energy, channeling it into the punch he was about to deliver. "I haven''t fully mastered this mystic technique. All I can do is send a stone flying," Nazzares thought to himself, though with some doubt. By channeling his energy and technique into his punch, Nazzares prepared for the final strike that would determine the outcome. WUSS: The sound of mystic energy flowing intensely into his fist. In the gentle breeze, Nazzares swallowed and focused, then his body shot forward at an almost invisible speed. WUSS His focused punch exploded with immense power, followed by a loud "BAM!" that echoed in the air. The Raksha, trying to avoid it, was too late, and a loud "CRACK!" rang out as Nazzares'' punch struck its body. The punch, infused with mystic energy and his technique, destroyed the Raksha''s body, reducing it to ruin. Kandhita, who witnessed this, immediately ran toward Nazzares, crying loudly, and hugged him tightly. "I¡¯m scared..." Nazzares embraced his future bride and said, "It''s alright, the Raksha is dead." He tried to calm her down. After that, Nazzares hurriedly took Kandhita back to his house for immediate treatment. A few moments later... At Nazzares'' home, Abail treated Kandhita¡¯s wounds by applying healing herbs and channeling mystic energy into her injuries. Over time, the wounds disappeared without a trace, as they weren¡¯t too deep. "I didn¡¯t expect a Raksha to show up again in this area," Abail said to Nazzares while sucking on his pipe. "Perhaps it¡¯s because Master Vitjendra left, they dare to appear. There¡¯s no powerful figure to scare them," replied Nazzares, gazing at his fianc¨¦e sitting nearby. "That makes sense. For now, Kandhita shouldn¡¯t accompany you while you train," Abail said with concern. "I think that''s a good idea," Nazzares agreed with his father¡¯s advice. A few days later.. Nazzares was haunted by an overwhelming sense of guilt. He blamed himself for not protecting Kandhita faster, and the feeling drove him deeper into despair. The disappointment and regret only strengthened his resolve. To make up for his failure, Nazzares decided to train harder than ever before. His already extreme training intensified to super-extreme levels. Every day, he pushed his body and mind to the limit, testing his physical strength, combat skills, and mental endurance. He trained relentlessly, regardless of time or weather, determined to gain power to protect Kandhita. Early each morning, Nazzares began with deep breathing exercises, followed by strenuous physical training, running through rugged terrain, and intense martial arts practice. Even at night, he continued to train, honing his mastery over the mystic energy taught by his mentor, trying to perfect every movement and energy flow. One week later, Kandhita had fully recovered and returned to normal. She resumed her usual tasks, cooking for Abail¡¯s family and even helping him prepare healing potions. She was now beginning to understand the world of healing. "After what happened yesterday, I¡¯m still in shock," Kandhita said, recalling the previous day''s events. "I''m sorry. If I had been quicker to react, none of this would have happened," Nazzares responded, still feeling guilty. "No, it¡¯s not your fault," Kandhita said, hugging Nazzares, sitting together behind the house. "Kandhita, have you thought about what you want to pursue in the future? After we marry, we will go to the capital and study at the Majapahit Academy," Nazzares asked, the thought crossing his mind. "Hmm... I think I want to develop my healing skills. After helping your father so much, I¡¯ve become more drawn to the field of healing," Kandhita replied, having spent the past three months learning from Abail. "I¡¯m glad. I¡¯ll leave all the healing to you," Nazzares said with relief, happy to share the responsibility of making medicinal potions with Kandhita when there was a lot to do. "Yes, even father taught me how to control mystic energy using paper seals and apply it to heal wounds. It¡¯s fascinating," Kandhita said with a smile as she spoke of her healing process. Nazzares and Kandhita spent time together, discussing their future after marriage. However, in the middle of their conversation, Abail suddenly called for Nazzares. "Nazzares, come here!" "Yes, Father, I¡¯ll be there," the son replied. Kandhita continued to learn how to concoct medicines and read the royal manuals given by Abail. "I have something for you. Actually, I wanted to give this to you on your birthday, but I forgot," said Abail. "Well, I¡¯m not surprised," Nazzares replied, understanding his father¡¯s forgetful nature. Abail took out a very old wooden box and opened it, revealing a black-bladed sword (a machete) that was extremely sharp. "This is the Abisheka sword, forged by the greatest mystic weapon smith across Nuswantorra, Mpu Tantular," Abail told Nazzares. "Mpu Tantular??" Nazzares responded, confused at the name he heard. "Yes, he was the greatest iron smith from the Dwarf race," said his father. "Is he really that amazing?" Nazzares responded skeptically, with a sleepy expression. "Of course, you fool," Abail said, annoyed at his son''s expression. Kandhita, hearing the name Mpu Tantular, interrupted, "Yes, I¡¯ve read about him! Even one of his weapons can cost hundreds, even thousands of gold coins." "Heee, is he really that great?" The Abisheka sword would be passed down through generations of the Abisheka family. Since Nazzares was the last generation to inherit it, his father decided to give it to him, as he had accepted his fate as a Fatalis. "Alright, I¡¯ll protect this grandfather¡¯s sword with the utmost care," Nazzares said as he held the sword. Nazzares accepted the sword and vowed to use it to protect those he cared about. Days passed, and Nazzares increased the intensity of his training, both physical and mystic techniques. Now, Nazzares began to understand his mystic techniques. He concluded that his power could control objects, strengthening and weakening them. This was his conclusion after intense training and several battles with Raksha. "At least, that¡¯s what I¡¯ve concluded so far." To Be Continued... Ch 008_Dimensional portal sealing For nearly a month, Vitjendra''s group had been searching for the Ashura dimensional portal, which had been sealed for decades by the previous Fatalis warriors. "Commander Vitjendra, I have a report!" A soldier returned to deliver his message. "What? If it¡¯s not important, just leave," replied the commander, his focus still on the map detailing the spread of Ashura dimensional portals across Javadhipa. "Understood, Commander. I want to report that Commander Druvh¡¯s team has found the portal. It''s located at the southern edge of the Blora forest," the soldier stated firmly. "Alright... Deploy all teams to Druvh¡¯s location immediately!" Vitjendra swiftly issued his command. "Yes, Commander!" The soldier saluted with enthusiasm before hurrying off to carry out his orders. Vitjendra finally felt a sense of relief after a month of searching for the leaking portal. "Sealing the portal doesn¡¯t mean eliminating all the Raksha. However, it can at least minimize their presence in this dimension," the general thought to himself. All units were immediately mobilized toward Druvh¡¯s location. --- Meanwhile, at Nazzares'' Training Grounds, Far from the Majapahit Army''s Location... "Hiaaattt..! Dwaaarr..! Sringg..! Srring..! Singg..! Sing..!" Zares was training in swordsmanship with his eyes closed. His mastery of the Sundang Committee of Majapahit had advanced significantly, thanks to his experience hunting and battling Raksha at night. His observational skills had also improved tremendously since his last training session with Master Vitjendra. Day by day, he increased his training intensity. Now, he could carry a massive boulder on his back while leaping from tree to tree without channeling even a bit of mystical energy into his body. As always, Kandita was by his side, witnessing every moment of his training. "Eat up... It''s time to stop!" Kandita shouted at Zares from a distance. "Alright," Zares responded, realizing how hungry he had become. --- At Commander Druvh¡¯s Location ¨C The Battle with Raksha "Commander Druvh, I have reported everything to the other squads, and Commander Vitjendra has ordered all troops to gather here along with the sealing division," a soldier announced amidst the tense battlefield. "Understood... Stay on high alert. We don''t know how long this portal will hold. If a Raksha emerges, attack immediately with your mystical weapons¡ªeven if it''s just a single strand of its hair," Captain Druvh commanded his troops. Amidst the tense atmosphere, the soldiers stood their ground, anticipating the unknown horrors lurking beyond the portal. Suddenly, a massive hand burst forth from within. "Everyone...!! Attack!!" "Hoorraaaaaa!!!" "SRAKK..! BLAM..! SREKK..!!" "Foolish demon!!" "Damn hand, die already...!!"Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site. "Get back inside your accursed home, you bastard...!!" Swords clashed, arrows flew, and the warriors'' battle cries filled the air. But their attacks had no effect. With a single sweep of its colossal hand, the monster knocked down all the soldiers¡ªexcept for Fatalis Druvh. Left with no choice, Commander Druvh prepared to unleash his mystical technique. Removing the prayer beads from his neck, he clasped them in both hands while chanting an incantation, forming sacred hand seals. "M¨¡y¨¡y¨¡? Tantu?, Satin weaving!" A mystical circle materialized beneath Captain Druvh''s feet, and shimmering threads emerged, swiftly striking the giant hand, tearing it apart, and forcing it back into the portal. "SRAKK SRAKK!!" "BLAMM!!" Thousands of satin-woven threads landed direct hits, pushing the monster''s hand back inside. The soldiers, awestruck, murmured among themselves. "A Fatalis is truly on a different level," one soldier whispered in admiration. Still focused on the portal before him, Captain Druvh barked orders at his troops. "Stay alert, you fools... Get up! One slap, and you¡¯re out for a whole week? Pathetic!" he yelled at his fallen men, who were still dazed from the Raksha¡¯s previous attack. "If I could see the whole creature, I could analyze its power level... Damn it! That was just its hand, and it''s already that strong?" Druvh gritted his teeth in frustration. The sound of marching footsteps rumbled through the forest¡ªAdmiral Vitjendra and his reinforcements had arrived. The monks immediately moved into position to initiate the sealing ritual. "Everyone, prepare yourselves! Sealing division, begin the formation! Soldiers, maintain the front lines to protect the monks! Druvh, stay by my side," Vitjendra commanded. "Yes, sir!!" the warriors responded in unison. As the monks began chanting the sealing mantra, the Raksha¡¯s severed hand suddenly reappeared, fully restored. Captain Druvh¡¯s eyes widened in disbelief. "What the hell?! How did its wounds heal so fast?" he gasped. Without hesitation, Commander Vitjendra drew his massive sword, unleashing a single, precise slash. "SRING..!! SLASH..!!" The Raksha¡¯s hand was cleaved in two, its severed parts dissolving into ash before vanishing completely. Moments later, the sealing ritual was completed successfully. Druvh, still in shock at what he had witnessed, muttered under his breath. "A living legend defies all logic... How did he cut through it so effortlessly?" The soldiers erupted in cheers. "Yeeaaah!! Commander Vitjendra is incredible!!" "Hooray! We did it!!" The warriors celebrated their victory, their spirits lifted after the intense battle. ----- Four Days Later at the Majapahit Royal Palace... The Majapahit Kingdom, with its capital in Trowulan, was bustling with travelers, scholars, merchants, and buyers haggling over prices. As the central hub of Javadipa, Trowulan was always alive with activity. Guru Vitjendra and his entourage passed through the palace gates, preparing to report to King Hayam Wuruk that their mission had been completed. Admiral Vitjendra walked through the long corridor, ready to deliver his report. Upon reaching the presence of the king, both he and his companion immediately bowed their heads and knelt with knightly respect. "Your Majesty, we have completed our mission. The Ashura dimensional portal that was leaking has been sealed once again," Vitjendra reported while kneeling. "Well done, Vitjendra!" "However, Your Majesty, I wish to further investigate the occurrences in the Blora Forest." "What is it?" "Yesterday, my group discovered mystical incantations carved into a large stone. I fear that an external force may have deliberately opened the portal to release powerful Raksha." "I see. Very well. But do you intend to handle this on your own?" "I am more than capable, Your Majesty, especially since the Blora Forest falls within our military''s jurisdiction." "Alright. But remember, you are an admiral and a crucial figure in this kingdom." "Rest assured, Your Majesty. My general, Ahtreya, will take over my duties in the meantime." Hearing that name, King Hayam Wuruk immediately trusted Vitjendra''s decision. "Ah, that elf..." He then added, "Very well. Report anything suspicious while you''re there." "Understood, Your Majesty. I also wish to inform you that I now have a student." "A student? Who is he?" "He is the grandson of my friend, a legendary figure of this kingdom¡ªDrukja Abhiseka." "Drukja Abhiseka...? The Fire King? I never thought he had a descendant," the king responded in surprise. "Yes, Your Majesty. His grandson holds tremendous potential for the future of the Majapahit military. I am certain that, sooner or later, he will surpass his grandfather." King Hayam Wuruk was intrigued by Vitjendra¡¯s words. He knew well the immense power that Drukja Abhiseka possessed during his prime. "Thank you, Your Majesty. While I am away, General Ahtreya will handle all of my duties," Vitjendra assured. After a brief discussion, Vitjendra and Druvh took their leave, exiting the grand royal chamber. To be continued... Ch 009_nazzares vs vitjendra Two months had passed since Nazzares first started training with Master Vitjendra. Nazzares received news that his master would be returning to Gousan Village to take care of some matters. Nazzares had been waiting while training diligently, determined to face his master and prove that he was now worthy of being recognized as a true Fatalis. While he was sharpening his swordsmanship, Nazzares sensed his master''s presence from afar. "So, he has returned," he said, feeling excited about his master''s arrival. A few moments later, as his master arrived at the training ground, Vitjendra called out from a distance, "Hey! Zares!" With a smile, Nazzares responded, "Master! I''ve missed you so much!" He hadn''t seen him in months. Hearing that, his master simply smiled. Then he asked, "How has your training been these past two months? On my way here, I noticed several places that looked like the aftermath of some brutal battles." "Yes! Those were my fights against the Raksha who tried to approach the village. No matter how hard I train, I still need real combat experience," Zares replied. "Hah! You monster! Looks like you''re ready to fight me now, aren''t you?" At that moment, Vitjendra was reminded of Zares'' grandfather''s face. "Yes, I''m ready!" Zares said eagerly. He was excited to finally spar with Vitjendra, as he had grown bored fighting the weak Raksha. The battle begins. Both of them are ready, taking their stances in the middle of a grassy field, surrounded by trees and rocks, with a gentle breeze adding to the tense atmosphere between the two fighters. WUSSH..!! Zares charged toward Vitjendra at high speed. When Vitjendra blinked, his vision suddenly became blurry. Unbeknownst to him, Zares had come from the side and pushed his head aside. PRAKK "What kind of move was that?" Vitjendra said in surprise, observing Nazzares'' speed. However, Vitjendra quickly matched his movements and clashed swords with him. SRING! TANG! TANG! TING! They clashed swords with incredible speed. Seeing how fast Nazzares had improved, Vitjendra thought of using a bit of his own power. With a smile, Master Vitjendra asked, "Hey, how did you manage to improve so much in less than 3 months?" he asked in the middle of their fight. The disciple responded, "I¡¯ve been hunting Raksha. Training continuously and increasing the intensity every time, Master," Zares answered while parrying his master''s strikes. "Very well," replied the master. Then he moved swiftly with a lighthearted smile. His movements were like the wind, and in an instant, his sword shot forward with incredible speed, heading straight for Nazzares'' shoulder. CLANG! Nazzares managed to block the attack with his sword. The ringing sound of metal filled the air. Without stopping, Vitjendra spun his body and unleashed a series of relentless strikes. Nazzares stepped back a step, parrying each blow with agility that seemed beyond that of an ordinary human. His movements grew faster, until in a matter of seconds, both of them became faint shadows moving with flashes of sword light in the air. "Your speed has improved, but it¡¯s still too stiff!" Vitjendra called out, swinging his sword diagonally, creating a bright blue light trail. Nazzares smiled faintly, then leaped backward, narrowly dodging the slash. "Stiff? Let¡¯s see how stiff my attack is!" With explosive movement, Nazzares counterattacked. He lunged forward, his sword flashing as it swept through the air in a spiral, forcing Vitjendra to take several steps back. But the old elf quickly changed his strategy. He blocked the attack with a powerful counterstrike, sending sparks flying in the air. Their speed continued to increase. The clashing sword blades created a sharp, thunderous sound like lightning in a clear sky. The ground around them began to crack, with dust and dry leaves being lifted into the air by the mystical energy pressure from each strike. At one moment, they slashed at each other in the air, only to be knocked apart, sending them both flying in opposite directions. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. After the sword clash, both of them stood atop trees, with Vitjendra perched on a higher branch. Master Vitjendra crossed his arms casually over his chest. Then, many swords appeared and flew around him. This was one of his techniques, called the "Knight of a Thousand Swords." "So, this is one of your techniques, Master. Amazing, I¡¯m getting more excited," Zares said, amazed at his master¡¯s abilities. "Get ready, my disciple!" Master Vitjendra called from the top of the tree. "Yaaa..." Zares answered with a grin. Then, dozens of swords began flying toward Zares at incredible speed. Sring! Zares began dodging and parrying the incoming swords. CLANG! SHING! The sound of Abhiseka¡¯s sword ringing out as it blocked the barrage of swords from Master Vitjendra. ------ Meanwhile, Kandhita was heading toward the training ground. "Meow meow, meow... meow meow meow meow meow..." Kandhita hummed along as she made her way to the training ground with a lot of food. She knew from Zares that Master Vitjendra would be returning to the village today. ------ Back to the fight, the battle was becoming more intense. Zares kept running, weaving through rivers and trees while parrying the swords that relentlessly pursued him. In a cornered position, Zares began using his mystical technique. As the battle continued, Zares was able to fly using his mystic technique. "What..! He can fly..!!" Master Vitjendra exclaimed upon seeing his disciple handling his own technique. "Impressive," he said with a smile. Then, Zares suddenly stopped midair, hovering and waiting for the swords chasing him to hit him. "Haaa, why did he stop in midair?" Master Vitjendra said, seeing Zares, "What are you thinking?" Suddenly, Zares spread his palms and directed them toward the swords that were flying toward him. Then, suddenly... SING..!! LEBH..!! An invisible shield stopped all the incoming swords. "What is that? Hahahahaha!" Master Vitjendra laughed, watching in awe and surprise, wondering what mystical technique he was witnessing. Zares destroyed all the swords, then began focusing his mystic energy into his Abhiseka sword. Zares took his stance, preparing to strike at Master Vitjendra. "He¡¯s going to strike? From that far away?" Master Vitjendra thought, becoming cautious as he sensed the overwhelming mystical energy from Nazzares. SLASH..!! The strike headed straight for Master Vitjendra. Without hesitation, he drew his own sword and blocked the blow, deflecting it away. SRAKK! The strike from Zares created a crack along its path. However, the strike was easily deflected by Master Vitjendra. "That¡¯s too powerful, kid!" Master Vitjendra said with a smile, impressed by how much his disciple had developed in such a short time. Master Vitjendra launched his sword at Zares, but Zares quickly parried it. TANG! The sword spun near Zares, but to his surprise... SWAPH Master Vitjendra swapped places with his sword (teleporting), and now, face-to-face with Zares, he smiled. And then, finally... "What!" Zares exclaimed, shocked to see his master''s face right in front of him. And then... BAM.. BLAKK!! TANG BAM "AAAGGHH!" Zares screamed. ------ Kandhita had arrived at the training area... "La la la la..." Her humming stopped when she arrived. "Haa, what¡¯s going on with this place? Why is it so damaged?" Kandhita, upon seeing the training area half-destroyed, was surprised. Then, when she saw Nazzares'' face, she immediately asked, "Hey, what happened to you? Why does your face look so battered?" Kandhita, shocked to see Nazzares'' face swollen and his nose dripping, asked. "Hahahaha," Nazzares laughed while enduring the pain. "Come here, I''ll heal you," Kandhita said, hurriedly pulling out a bottle of medicinal potion that she always brought when accompanying Nazzares during training. "Kandhita..." Vitjendra, the teacher, greeted her. "Oh, teacher, long time no see," Kandhita replied, and then continued, "Your ears are still the same, teacher," she said, looking at Vitjendra''s ears, which always moved. "Haa... oh, my ears never change," Vitjendra thought to himself, then asked, "Is that food for me?" he asked Kandhita. "Of course, teacher, eat as much as you like," Kandhita answered with a beautiful smile. "Alright... enjoy your meal," Vitjendra exclaimed enthusiastically. While Zares and Vitjendra ate, Kandhita began gently applying the medicine to the bruises on Zares'' face. She formed a mudra seal and placed the paper with incantations on her palms to gather mystical energy. Then, Kandhita directed both her palms toward Zares'' bruised face. A green light appeared from her palms. She had mastered the use of mystical energy for healing. Slowly, the bruises on Zares'' face faded away. "CESS," followed by smoke rising from the bruises on Zares'' face. "Ouch, ouch, slow down... it hurts, you know!" Zares groaned, trying to endure the pain. "Shut up, just stay still," Kandhita replied. Vitjendra observed Kandhita''s healing abilities with interest. He then said, "You seem to have mastered it." "Thank you, teacher. I learned from Zares'' father, but there''s still so much I need to learn. My ability is still far from his," Kandhita replied. "You two are just about to turn 12, right? The academy will accept students through special admission when you''re 15. So, have you decided on your future?" Vitjendra said while chewing his food. "I''ve decided, teacher! After Zares and I get married, we''ll go straight to the capital to study at the Majapahit academy," Kandhita answered confidently. Vitjendra, hearing the answer from his pupil''s future wife, immediately responded, "Getting into the Majapahit Academy¡¯s medical division is quite difficult because of the entrance exam. If you''d like, I can recommend you to the kingdom to make it easier for you to enter." "Thank you, teacher, for your offer. I want to try harder to measure how far my abilities go. If I fail, I¡¯ll try again until I succeed," Kandhita replied. "Alright..." Vitjendra answered with a smile. "By the way, teacher, how long will you be staying here?" Kandhita asked. "One full year. There¡¯s something I need to do in the Blora Forest," Vitjendra replied. "Heee... that¡¯s quite a long time," Kandhita responded happily. Hearing his teacher''s answer, Nazzares then said, "Yes, in that year, I¡¯ll become stronger and defeat you, teacher," Zares said energetically. "Hahahaha. Alright, this will be fun," Vitjendra answered with a laugh. To be continued... Ch 010_West bagin military base blora forest Master Vitjendra was now carrying out his mission, accompanied by his disciple, Nazzares, to uncover his suspicions about the Blora Forest, where rakshas had been frequently appearing lately. As they leaped through the trees, Master Vitjendra and Nazzares conversed with each other. ¡°Master, you said you¡¯ve sealed the Ashura dimension portal, right? But why do rakshas still appear sometimes?¡± asked Nazzares. ¡°Mmm... The sealing of the portal only applies to those who have great power to enter this dimension,¡± replied Master Vitjendra. ¡°Great power?¡± Nazzares asked again. ¡°Yes, rakshas also have their own power levels. Some are strong, and some are weak. I¡¯ve explained this before, haven¡¯t I?¡± said Master Vitjendra. ¡°I understand. Maybe the rakshas I¡¯ve been facing are of the weaker kind,¡± said Nazzares. ¡°Be grateful if the raksha that comes to you is weak. If it were a strong one, your village would have been completely destroyed by now,¡± replied Master Vitjendra in a serious tone. As they journeyed, they suddenly sensed a mystical energy emanating from the bushes. As they approached, they discovered it was a stone engraved with an ancient mystical mantra to open a portal. ¡°What¡¯s this, Master?¡± asked Nazzares. ¡°This is an engraving of an ancient mystical mantra. This might be the cause of the many rakshas appearing here,¡± explained Master Vitjendra. ¡°How can a stone and a mystical pattern like this open a portal?¡± asked Nazzares in wonder. ¡°I don¡¯t know,¡± replied Master Vitjendra as he channeled his mystical energy into his clenched fist. With one strike, he shattered the stone into pieces. BRAKK!! Afterward, they continued their journey westward through the Blora Forest. ¡°Master, the Blora Forest is so vast. How will you complete this mission?¡± asked Nazzares, filled with curiosity. ¡°There are military bases established on various sides of the Blora Forest, so it won¡¯t be difficult for me to finish this,¡± replied Master Vitjendra calmly. ¡°Oh, okay,¡± Nazzares replied, feeling somewhat relieved by the explanation. They continued their journey, carefully searching for any trigger that might open the portal, like the mystical pattern they had found on the stone. A few days later, Nazzares was taken by his master to the western military base of the Blora Forest and led to his room. ¡°Wow, so this is your room, Master?¡± asked Nazzares, amazed by the grandeur of the room. ¡°Yes,¡± Master Vitjendra replied briefly. ¡°You seem like a very important person in the kingdom,¡± said Nazzares, looking at him with awe. ¡°Hahaha, it¡¯s like that,¡± Master Vitjendra replied with a smile. ¡°Alright, let¡¯s go out. It might be better if you train with the soldiers.¡± They headed to the training area, and Nazzares was surprised to see someone there. ¡°Hey, Darkino! You¡¯re here?¡± shouted Nazzares, his voice rising. ¡°Nazzares..!!¡± Darkino turned toward the voice calling his name. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect this! No wonder I never saw you in the village,¡± Nazzares said to his childhood friend. ¡°Yeah, but I¡¯m even more surprised to find that my friend here is a descendant of a Fatalis,¡± Darkino replied, clearly shocked.Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. ¡°Yeah, a lot has happened lately,¡± said Nazzares, trying to explain briefly. ¡°Hahaha, the news of you often hunting rakshas at night has spread widely,¡± Darkino said with a laugh. ¡°Really?¡± Nazzares asked, not expecting the news to spread so quickly. ¡°Yeah.¡± They shared a brief moment of nostalgia before Master Vitjendra called Nazzares back to continue their training. Nazzares and Master Vitjendra resumed their training in the military base area, amidst an atmosphere filled with energy and discipline. ------ Sundang Majapahit battle with basic mystical energy as reinforcement In the middle of the training arena, the soldiers stood in a circle, watching intently. Before them, Master Vitjendra and Nazzares stood, fully prepared, ready to train without weapons. This time, they would rely on their physical strength and the mystical energy flowing within them to fight. Since Nazzares had been a little stiff in his movements during the last training, Master Vitjendra arranged this practice session. "Ready, Nazzares?" asked Master Vitjendra, his voice calm yet full of vigilance. Nazzares nodded, his body ready to move. Without weapons, he had to rely on his agility and the control of the mystical energy flowing through his body. "Begin!" said Master Vitjendra as he focused his mystical energy, channeling strength into every movement. In an instant, Master Vitjendra moved with incredible speed, darting toward Nazzares with his hands open, ready to strike. Surprised by the speed of his teacher, Nazzares immediately channeled his mystical energy into his body, speeding up his movements and dodging the attack with agility. Master Vitjendra did not stop there. In a flash, he turned around and launched a counterattack with a powerful kick. Nazzares saw the kick coming and quickly stepped back, using his mystical energy to reinforce his leap to avoid the blow. The soldiers watching were captivated. They could feel the wave of mystical energy flowing between the two combatants, their movements swift and powerful, as though every step they took controlled the world around them. Master Vitjendra gave no time for Nazzares to rest. He launched a relentless barrage of strikes, his hands moving as fast as shadows, channeling mystical energy into every punch and kick. Nazzares, with sharp reflexes, dodged every attack with quick and coordinated movements, utilizing his light body and agility strengthened by the flow of energy within him. With a spin, Nazzares retaliated with a punch aimed directly at Master Vitjendra''s chest. However, Master Vitjendra calmly channeled his mystical energy, redirecting Nazzares''s punch with a subtle movement of his hand, deflecting the strike with minimal effort. Duk! Their bodies collided with great force, and a wave of mystical energy radiated from the contact. The soldiers watching could not hold back their admiration, feeling the vibrations of the power from the duel. Nazzares did not retreat. With his speed increasing, he launched a flurry of attacks, this time using the Sundang Majapahit technique he had mastered. His body moved like the wind, swift and quick, every movement infused with mystical energy flowing through him. Master Vitjendra, utilizing his experience and mastery over mystical energy, easily deflected every attack from Nazzares, channeling his energy to change the direction of the strikes without exerting excessive physical force. With one swift move, Master Vitjendra unleashed a kick infused with mystical energy aimed straight at Nazzares. The strike came so quickly that Nazzares could not dodge in time. However, with his honed instincts, Nazzares channeled his mystical energy into his legs and blocked the kick with both hands. Braaak! A large burst of energy exploded upon impact, causing the ground beneath them to shake. Both combatants paused for a moment, panting, but neither of them backed down. The soldiers watching could only stand in awe, witnessing the incredible power and agility displayed by both sides. Master Vitjendra smiled, seeing Nazzares''s remarkable development. "Good, Nazzares," he said proudly. "You''ve mastered the control of the energy within your body quite well. But remember, there¡¯s still much to learn." Nazzares exhaled deeply, feeling the energy still flowing through his body. "I''ll keep training, Master." The soldiers around them clapped, full of admiration, knowing they had just witnessed an extraordinary training session. "Waaa... you''re amazing, Nazzares," said Darkino, who had been watching from the sidelines. Later that evening, Nazzares and Darkino walked home together. "That fight was truly impressive, Nazzares," Darkino said during their walk home. "Yeah, but Master Vitjendra is so strong. After more than three months of training, I feel like I¡¯m just a toy to him," Nazzares replied with a bit of complaint. "Well, it''s only natural. He''s a Laksamana, right?" "Is a Laksamana that strong?" "Hah, you don''t know? You''re good-looking, but a little dumb." "Heh, sorry about that." "A Laksamana is one of the strongest Fatalis in the Majapahit Kingdom, and Master Vitjendra is one of the top three strongest people in the kingdom." Nazzares, upon hearing his friend¡¯s explanation, fell into a brief thought, reflecting on his teacher. "Hah, I didn¡¯t realize Master was that strong. Well, with his sword-creation ability, he must be incredibly powerful," he thought to himself. "Well, since you''re a Fatalis... it might be easier for us during patrols if you''re with us." "Yeah, sure. It¡¯s nice to be able to work with my own friend," Nazzares replied. "But, have you really faced a raksha?" Nazzares asked. "Yeah, I once faced one. For someone like us, who isn''t a Fatalis, we need a special weapon to fight a raksha." "Was it scary for you?" "Yeah, for someone without power like us, it¡¯s terrifying." "Don¡¯t worry, just face your fear head-on." They continued walking casually back to the village, sharing stories with each other. To be continued... Ch 011_Tropos agem Village (part 01) "Nazzares, are you going on a mission again with Master Vitjendra?" asked Kandhita, who was helping Abail mix herbal medicines at the back of their house. "Yes," Nazzares replied while practicing a little in the backyard. "Mm, but be careful," she cautioned. "Don''t worry," Nazzares said. "Is there a reward or payment for your missions?" she asked. "I don''t know. I''m not officially registered as part of the military unit. I''m just a disciple of Master Vitjendra," Nazzares replied while swinging his wooden sword. "But I''m trying my best to get into the academy. After all, we¡¯re entering the academy not through the regular path, which starts formal education from the age of eight," he added. "Alright then." Kandhita then prepared a meal for her future husband to take with him on his mission. "Here¡¯s your meal. Give the other box to Master Vitjendra." "Thank you, Kandhita." "Wait a moment." "What?" Kandhita pulled Nazzares'' hand and gently kissed his cheek, then ran inside the house shyly. However, Darkino, who had been waiting outside Nazzares'' house, saw this and smirked cynically. "Such a lovesick fool," Darkino muttered teasingly. Then the two of them left for the Majapahit military base in the Blora Forest, walking leisurely on the dew-covered morning. Nazzares'' face was flushed, a smile on his face. "Hey, can you stop smiling like that?" Darkino said, noticing Nazzares grinning to himself. "Heh... sorry," Nazzares replied. "You¡¯re so lucky to have a village beauty like Kandhita." "Yeah, I¡¯m fortunate to be matched with such a kind-hearted woman." Upon arriving at the Majapahit military base, Darkino immediately prepared his gear and began training, while Nazzares walked toward the instructor''s quarters. "Master, here¡¯s breakfast from Kandhita," Nazzares said, handing over the meal. "Wow... I bet the food from your fianc¨¦e is delicious, my student," Master Vitjendra said, smiling as he took a bite. While enjoying his breakfast, Master Vitjendra informed Nazzares that they would be heading to Tropos Agem Village the following day, a village located in the northern part of the Blora Forest, far on the edge, which would take about seven hours of travel if they ran and leaped through the trees. "Prepare yourself, Nazzares," Master Vitjendra said, his eyes full of determination. "Alright, Master. Is it farther than Serabi City?" Nazzares asked, slightly curious. "Yes, of course," Master Vitjendra replied with a slow nod. "How long will we stay there?" Nazzares asked again, realizing how strenuous the journey would be. "I don¡¯t know, maybe quite a while," Master Vitjendra responded, his voice soft but firm. Nazzares nodded, mentally preparing himself. He left the instructor¡¯s quarters and joined the other soldiers who were getting ready. "Hey, Darkino, how about we train together?" Nazzares called as he approached his friend. "Fine, but remember, don¡¯t use your mystical power. I¡¯m just an ordinary human," Darkino replied, slightly mocking but in a friendly tone. Nazzares smiled and nodded. They began training, sparring with each other. Though they were practicing without weapons, Nazzares, with the body and strength of a Fatalis, was far superior compared to Darkino, who was just an ordinary human. With little effort, Nazzares easily won the sparring match, only breaking a slight sweat. Later that evening... Nazzares went to pick up his fianc¨¦e, Kandhita, for a short walk, as he needed to go on the mission with Master Vitjendra to Tropos Agem the next day. "So, your mission is tomorrow?" Kandhita asked, looking at Nazzares with concern. "Yes," Nazzares replied briefly, but with a meaningful tone.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. They walked along the village road lit by torches, enjoying the peacefulness of the night. Suddenly, Nazzares lifted Kandhita with his strength, carrying her into the sky. They soared high, passing over rooftops that appeared small below them. Above, the moon shone brightly, casting a soft light on their path. Kandhita fell silent for a moment, mesmerized by the beautiful sight. The cool night breeze touched their faces as they glided among the stars, feeling a closeness that was unspoken. "This is incredible..." Kandhita said, her voice soft and filled with awe. They continued flying, savoring the moment, leaving behind a trail of happiness in the sky that they would never forget. ------- Departure to Tropos Agem Village The journey started in the morning, with Nazzares and Master Vitjendra leaping over trees, moving quickly through the Blora Forest. "Master, I can fly, and you can too, right? Why don¡¯t we race?" Nazzares asked with a broad smile. Master Vitjendra chuckled lightly. "Hahahaha... alright, that sounds like a good idea," he agreed with the challenge. Nazzares immediately prepared, using his mystical technique to lift his body into the air. The mystical energy flowed smoothly, and his body rose, ready to soar. Meanwhile, Master Vitjendra casually mounted his long sword, which was a manifestation of his innate mystical technique. The sword emitted a soft glow, and Master Vitjendra began to fly, following Nazzares. They soared together, cutting through the morning air, moving swiftly among the trees. Northern Blora Forest Military Base Upon arriving at the military base, Admiral Vitjendra was immediately greeted by General Nansa, a large orc with small horns on his forehead. Nazzares looked at the man with a mix of wonder and awe. "Who¡¯s this, Captain?" General Nansa asked in a deep voice, glancing at Nazzares. "He¡¯s my disciple," Vitjendra answered briefly. Nansa nodded respectfully. "Understood, Captain." They quickly entered the main room where the meeting was taking place. There, the officers had gathered and were providing reports about the Raksha terror that had struck the village. "Captain, many children, men, and women have gone missing mysteriously at night," one of the soldiers reported. "We believe this is the work of the Raksha." Vitjendra nodded after hearing the report. "Alright. Prepare everyone. Tonight, we will formulate a strategy to deal with this." It was still daytime, so Vitjendra and the other officers began planning the details. Meanwhile, Nazzares took the opportunity to practice in the soldiers'' training area. He wielded his Abhiseka sword, swinging it nimbly, practicing the moves taught by his master. From a distance, General Nansa observed Nazzares. After a while, he walked closer. "Heh, kid, what¡¯s your name?" Nansa asked in a loud voice, drawing Nazzares'' attention. "My name is Nazzares Abhiseka," Nazzares replied, stopping his training and bowing respectfully. "Good, I¡¯m Nansa," the orc introduced himself. "How long have you been training with Admiral Vitjendra?" Nazzares thought for a moment. "Maybe almost three months," he answered honestly. Nansa nodded, then gave a small grin. "Three months, huh? Alright, I want to test your skills. Fight me." Nazzares¡¯ eyes widened. "Really?" he asked, incredulous. "Yes," Nansa nodded firmly. "Show me what you can do." Nazzares grinned widely. "Alright! I¡¯ll do my best," he said enthusiastically as he gripped his sword tightly. He knew this was a rare opportunity to gauge how far his skills had come after training under Admiral Vitjendra¡¯s guidance. Nazzares vs nansa Nansa stared at Nazzares with a slight smile, his small horns reflecting the sunlight. He stood tall, ready to face Laksamana Vitjendra''s pupil. The atmosphere around them grew tense. The other soldiers, who were training nearby, paused for a moment, watching the duel that was about to begin. Without further ado, Nazzares raised one hand, palm facing Nansa. In an instant, his mystic technique activated, pulling the orc toward him with an invisible force. Whoosshhh... "What the hell? This kid is using his mystic technique without restraint!" Nansa shouted, startled as his body was rapidly drawn toward Nazzares. However, Nansa didn''t stand idle. Quickly, he chanted a mantra, his voice heavy and full of conviction. "Corrosion Resistant: Tungsten Axe!" he shouted. A bluish-green light enveloped his hands, and a large axe that appeared heavy yet solid materialized in his grip, a manifestation of his mystic technique. Tang! The first clash occurred. Nazzares'' Abhiseka sword struck Nansa''s tungsten axe. The sound of the impact echoed, creating an energy wave that shook the air around them. Some soldiers standing too close felt the pressure and retreated, awe-struck. The battle between the two Fatalis continued. Close-quarters combat began. Nansa swung his axe brutally, each strike strong enough to crush large stones. However, Nazzares, with incredible speed and agility, dodged each attack, using his speed and flexibility. His Abhiseka sword shone brightly, parrying each axe strike with perfect precision. Attack after attack exchanged, creating resonating clangs like war drums. Each collision between sword and axe sent sparks of mystic light flying, mesmerizing the watching soldiers. "This kid... is smiling?" Nansa muttered, squinting his eyes, realizing the immense power of Nazzares. However, he had no intention of giving up. With a loud roar, he leapt backward, spinning his axe in the air before swinging it full force toward Nazzares. Nazzares raised his sword, blocking it firmly. However, the energy wave from the clash pushed him back several steps. "You''re pretty good, Captain!" Nazzares exclaimed, his eyes sparkling. He stepped forward, ready to continue his attack. "Don''t get too cocky, kid!" Nansa retorted, launching another axe strike. The battle continued, growing more intense, making the onlookers hold their breath. After several minutes of fighting... Nazzares fell to the ground, panting heavily. Sweat soaked his face, but a satisfied smile was clearly visible. He raised his hand as a sign of surrender. "Hahaha, I give up!" he said proudly, despite losing. Nansa chuckled softly, resting his axe on his shoulder. "Hmm... You''re strong, kid. For someone who¡¯s only been training for three months, you''re way above average." Nazzares slowly got back up, dusting himself off. "Thank you, Captain. But I still have a lot to learn." Afterward, Nansa put his axe away, which slowly faded into mist, returning to his mystic technique. The orc walked away from Nazzares, still catching his breath, heading toward the military base. On his way, he crossed paths with Laksamana Vitjendra, who was heading toward the training field. "How¡¯s my pupil, Nansa?" Vitjendra asked, his voice calm but full of curiosity. Nansa stopped, looking at the laksamana with a serious expression. "You''re going to create a monster, Captain," he replied briefly before continuing on his way. Vitjendra smiled faintly, satisfied with the answer. He glanced toward the training field, where Nazzares still stood, now looking more spirited despite just losing. "That is indeed my goal," Vitjendra muttered to himself before walking toward the base. To be continued... Ch 012_Tropos agem Village (part 02) Tropos Agem Village That afternoon, the atmosphere in Tropos Agem village was lively with fishermen busy at the market and fishmongers offering their goods. The kingdom¡¯s soldiers, including Nazzares and Captain Nansa, stood guard with an unmistakable calm amidst the bustle. However, behind the peace, a far darker threat loomed: rakshas that had been abducting villagers under the cover of night. "This village looks peaceful, as if there''s no problem, Captain," said Nazzares, sitting with Captain Nansa while enjoying the grilled fish the village was known for. "Yes, but wait until tonight and be prepared," Captain Nansa replied, his eyes sweeping across the village. "The soldiers are investigating the places where kidnappings have frequently occurred." "Understood, Captain." "By the way, how old are you?" Captain Nansa asked, suddenly curious. "12 years old," Nazzares answered without hesitation. "Mm... still very young," Captain Nansa murmured, looking as if deep in thought. They continued to monitor their surroundings, even though there seemed to be nothing suspicious. The silence of the afternoon gave an impression of tranquility, but the looming, unpredictable threat of the night kept them vigilant. Night Approaches... That night, the atmosphere in Tropos Agem village turned ominous. The soldiers prepared at their designated positions, hiding in quiet spots, waiting with a mix of hope and anxiety. Captain Nansa, disguised as an ordinary villager, walked slowly along a path reported to be the site where many had disappeared. He hoped to serve as bait, drawing the dangerous raksha''s attention. There were only three Fatalis in the village¡ªCaptain Nansa, Master Vitjendra, and Nazzares¡ªalong with ten regular soldiers assisting the mission. The tasks were divided based on their individual abilities. Captain Nansa was at the front lines, while Master Vitjendra and Nazzares kept their distance, observing from the rooftops of deserted houses. The regular soldiers on watch felt the tension of the night weigh heavily on them. In the stillness, they whispered to each other. "Hey, why is the night air so oppressive?" asked one soldier. "I don''t know... let''s just trust the Fatalis to handle everything," replied his companion, feeling an unspoken fear. As the night grew darker, the villagers, accustomed to the threat of the raksha, dared not leave their homes. Every door and window was tightly shut, creating a sense of isolation that deepened the atmosphere. At Captain Nansa¡¯s location, his footsteps were quiet as he walked along the path usually taken by the victims. His heart raced, but he remained calm, hoping the raksha would soon appear. "Come on, hurry up," he whispered to himself, hoping the dangerous creature would show up and play its part. Suddenly, a thick fog descended quickly, enveloping the road ahead. A foul, rancid smell wafted through the air, making him more alert. He stopped for a moment, looking around, trying to catch any suspicious movement or sound. "What¡¯s this?" he muttered, the feeling of caution overwhelming him. On the rooftop, Nazzares felt a shift in the air around him. The oppressive atmosphere, the spreading foul smell, and the sudden sense of unease. His Fatalis instincts began to kick in, and he knew something was approaching. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. "I need to wait for the signal from Master Vitjendra," Nazzares thought, carefully awaiting the next instruction. Master Vitjendra remained silent, fully focused, observing the situation with a stillness that only heightened the tension of the night. Everyone was waiting, ready to execute the plan perfectly. Back to Nansa''s position.. The fog thickened, engulfing the path like a solid wall, and within the darkness emerged a terrifying creature. Though its body was childlike, it was covered in wounds, with long hair that draped over its face down to its knees. Its hands were armed with sharp claws, and the most horrifying feature was the empty eye socket located on its chest. Captain Nansa, who was in disguise, stopped momentarily upon seeing the figure. "What is that creature?" he muttered in shock, but without further hesitation, he immediately attacked using his mystic technique. "Corrosion Resistant: Metal Bullet," Nansa whispered, forming a mudra with his hands. He pointed his fingers like a gun at the raksha, and a barrage of metal bullets shot out at high speed. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! The creature let out a hoarse scream, its face contorted in a terrifying expression. It swiftly dodged the attack, then retaliated with a counterstrike. Thud! Nansa blocked the attack with his hand, which was covered in metal from his mystic technique. They locked eyes, and the raksha glared at him with a sinister grin. "Ugh, you disgusting creature," Nansa said coldly, while continuing to fend off the increasingly brutal attacks from the raksha. On the roof, Master Vitjendra observed the battle closely. Seeing an opportunity, he signaled with his glowing sword, signaling Nazzares to join the fray. Nazzares quickly rushed toward the battlefield, feeling the tension rising. Upon arrival, they found Captain Nansa still locked in a fierce battle with the raksha. However, as soon as the raksha noticed their arrival, it swiftly retreated into the forest. "Hey, don''t run!" Captain Nansa shouted, frustrated as the creature escaped. "Chase it!" ordered Master Vitjendra sternly. Without wasting any time, Nazzares and Captain Nansa sprinted after the raksha, which had already disappeared into the dark, eerie forest. The creature moved with incredible speed, as fast as the wind rushing through the dark woods. But speed was not an issue for a seasoned admiral like Master Vitjendra. Agilely, he dashed forward and swung his sword to strike at the raksha. Whooosh... Slash... Nazzares, watching the scene unfold, was in awe. "Master, that was so fast," he said, impressed by how swift and skilled Master Vitjendra was in dealing with the enemy. However, Master Vitjendra wasn''t about to let the raksha escape. He quickly thrust his sword, infused with his mystic technique, into both the creature''s legs and arms, immobilizing it. Crack... Crack... Crack... "Arrghhh!" The raksha screamed in agony, its body paralyzed by the powerful sword thrusts. Captain Nansa watched the suffering raksha with deep consideration. "Should we kill it?" he asked, feeling sympathy for the creature''s pain. Master Vitjendra shook his head. "No, we must ensure whether the kidnapped villagers are still alive. We don''t know if this creature just placed them here or if it has taken them to the Ashura realm," he replied firmly, focusing on their priorities. Nazzares observed the raksha lying on the ground. "This one looks more normal compared to the ones I usually face in the village," he remarked, slightly intrigued by the creature''s appearance. But the fog began to close in again, thickening the air and adding to the sense of dread. Captain Nansa sensed something was off. "What is this feeling?" he asked, sensing the rising tension. Master Vitjendra, ever vigilant, warned, "Stay alert!" Nazzares, prepared for anything, nodded. "Understood." Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps rumbled from the distance, growing louder and closer at an alarming rate. "Get ready, it''s close," Master Vitjendra said in a calm, commanding voice. With the rumbling sound growing louder, the massive creature emerged, charging toward the trio with terrifying strength. But before the attack reached them, Captain Nansa raised his hand and quickly chanted a spell. "Corrosion Resistant: Metal Shield!" Boom! A giant metal shield formed in front of them, protecting Captain Nansa, Nazzares, and Master Vitjendra from the massive impact of the raksha''s powerful blow. The collision between the raksha''s enormous kanabo and the metal shield caused the surrounding forest to crumble, the ground shaking violently, and trees crashing down. However, the attack didn¡¯t stop there. Another raksha emerged from behind the fog, quickly taking the small raksha previously impaled by Master Vitjendra¡¯s sword. With lightning speed, the raksha fled, carrying the captive. Whooshhh...! The raksha dashed away at an incredible speed, leaving a trail of thick fog behind it. Captain Vitjendra immediately shouted, "Chase them! Let me deal with this creature!" "Understood!" Nazzares and Captain Nansa responded in unison. In a flash, Nazzares and Captain Nansa pursued the raksha carrying the captive, sprinting through the forest, leaping over large trees, moving so quickly it seemed like nothing could stop them. Whoosh... Whoosh... Whoosh... To be continued... Ch 013_Tropos agem Village (part 03) The Million Swords of Vitjendra Master Vitjendra stood facing the raksha, which was about three meters tall, with a large hole in the middle of its stomach, going through to its back. "Hrrrkkk," a terrifying sound came from the raksha as it glared sharply at Vitjendra. Vitjendra only smiled casually, folding his arms across his chest, and slightly lowered his head, as if dismissing the creature. "Hm," he muttered calmly. Feeling insulted, the raksha immediately leapt towards Vitjendra, swinging its massive kanabo with incredible force. But suddenly, a flash of light shot towards it, piercing through the raksha''s stomach, sending it flying. Sraaakk! In his relaxed position, Vitjendra moved his hand, and dozens of swords hovered behind him, ready to strike. The raksha quickly pulled the sword embedded in its body, and in an instant, it began rapidly regenerating its wounds. "Raaaaaakkkhhh!" it screamed in anger, once again attempting to attack with its large kanabo. But before it could get closer, the swords floating in the air shot towards the raksha with speed. Tang! The raksha managed to block a few of the swords, but Vitjendra released more, overwhelming the raksha in its efforts to defend. Tang, tang, tang! Several swords were blocked, but many others pierced through the raksha''s body. Splaat, splaat, splaat! The sword attacks continued relentlessly. Vitjendra watched the raksha with a flat expression, showing no sympathy. The raksha could only block and feel the stabs entering its body. "Raaaaaakkkhhh!" it screamed in pain, but it kept fighting, even though its body was full of wounds and there was no chance for it to heal. Srakk, srakk, srakk, srakk! Minutes later, the raksha finally collapsed to its knees, its body covered in blood, with dozens of swords still embedded in it. It no longer moved. "Is it over?" Vitjendra asked as he approached the raksha. Carefully, he lifted his glowing sword, ready to decapitate the raksha. But unexpectedly, the raksha spoke in a stutter. "Da... da... darkness... aa... aa... will... co... come..." Vitjendra heard the words and, without hesitation, immediately beheaded the raksha with his sword. Slaasshh! Vitjendra stood, looking at the raksha''s lifeless body. "It seems this raksha had a greater threat," he muttered, realizing that the creature he had just killed could speak. The Mother and Child of the Raksha While Master Vitjendra battled the massive raksha, Nazzares and Captain Nansa continued to chase the raksha carrying the small raksha. The raksha moved with incredible speed, its body seemingly wrapped in mist that moved wildly among the trees in the dark forest.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Whoos whoos Nazzares, observing the raksha''s rapid movements, immediately floated using his mystical technique. He focused on the two raksha running, then quickly flew like lightning and struck them, sending them both flying. Flash Blamm! Captain Nansa, witnessing Nazzares'' action, proudly said, "Well done, kid." Quickly, Nazzares used his mystical technique to restrain the movement of the raksha. "Let go!" the female raksha screamed in confusion as she was trapped by Nazzares'' mystical technique. "What? She can speak?" Nazzares thought, shocked. "And... she''s a woman?" he continued in his mind, noticing the strange detail. The female raksha had eye sockets that pierced through the top of her abdomen, a bizarre and horrifying feature. Captain Nansa, not standing idle, immediately added more restraint by wrapping their bodies with liquid metal, which quickly solidified, further locking them in place to prevent escape. However, the small raksha that the female raksha was carrying began crying out, "Mom! Mom!" Nazzares was stunned by the situation. "What is this? Raksha can have families?" he said in disbelief. "I don''t know, kid. I don''t get it either," Captain Nansa replied, still watching the situation. "All we can do is wait for Captain Vitjendra''s arrival. Moments later, Captain Vitjendra appeared riding his glowing sword, flying with his mystical technique. In his hand, he carried the head of the large raksha he had killed earlier. Upon seeing this, the small raksha, still bound, cried out again, this time with a voice full of sorrow. "Father!!!" it screamed. Nazzares was even more confused. "What am I seeing now? How can raksha have families?" he thought, feeling increasingly lost. Meanwhile, the restrained female raksha grew angrier. "Damn you all! You will pay with your lives!" she shouted with vengeance. "Quiet, you filthy woman!" Vitjendra responded, his voice full of rage. "How many lives do you think you¡¯ve taken?" he continued firmly. The female raksha and her child kept crying, mourning the head of the large raksha that Vitjendra had brought. They seemed broken, their emotions torn between anger and sorrow. The Terrifying Corpses Nazzares carried the two raksha with his mystical technique, floating above the ground towards the place where the people kidnapped by the raksha family were hidden. With a little threat, intimidation, and some torture on the small raksha, the female raksha finally agreed to guide them to the location of the kidnapped villagers. They followed the directions of the female raksha, who, though still bound by Nansa''s metal restraint technique, continued to offer clues. They walked far, entering an increasingly darker area, until they reached a cave deep in the forest. "Is this the place?" asked Captain Vitjendra, his eyes scanning the cave before them. "Yes," the female raksha replied briefly, her eyes filled with both rage and fear. Captain Nansa lit a torch, illuminating their path while keeping a close watch on the two restrained raksha. They entered the cave, and the deeper they went, the more unnatural the atmosphere became. After a while, they reached a spot that shocked everyone. "What is this?" Captain Nansa exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at what lay before him. Nazzares stood silently, words caught in his throat. Before them lay a horrifying sight. The kidnapped villagers were sprawled lifeless, in a wretched state. Their bodies were naked, their organs seemingly removed, and blood pooled around them like a lake. Suddenly, the mystical aura overflowing from Nazzares'' body created a massive wave of pressure. Like an explosion, the aura spread throughout the cave, hitting them with great force. Duarrrr Nazzares'' voice, filled with rage, was quiet yet full of menace. "Don''t mess with me." His red eyes glowed fiercely as he glared at the two restrained raksha. "What do you think you¡¯ve done?" he said with deep hatred, as if every word from his lips was a deadly weapon. The small raksha, unable to withstand the pressure of Nazzares'' mystical aura, began to choke, foam forming at its mouth. "Aaaakkhh... Mom!" it screamed before finally passing out, its eyes rolling back. The torch held by Captain Nansa began to flicker and die due to the pressure created by Nazzares'' aura. "This kid!" he grumbled, shaken by the sensation. However, Master Vitjendra, witnessing the event, ordered Nazzares to calm down. "Stop that, Nazzares," he commanded firmly, knowing that rage would not solve this problem. Nazzares, realizing that his anger was only making the situation worse, finally obeyed his master''s command and calmed down. They all stood in silence, shaken by what they had found in the cave. Lifeless bodies, horrific, and filled with wounds. The removed organs and pooled blood left a deep impression of savagery. "Hey, raksha, what exactly are you doing with all this?" Nazzares asked, his voice still trembling with anger, yet filled with confusion. The female raksha sneered. "Haa...!! Of course, it''s for fun," she replied, as if treating it all as a game. Without hesitation, Master Vitjendra drew his glowing sword and beheaded the female raksha in an instant. Slasshhh To be continued... Ch 014_Tropos agem Village (part 04) Slassh... The head of the female raksha rolled slowly, sinking into a pool of blood among the corpses of the villagers. Master Vitjendra stood still, staring at the gruesome scene. His eyes narrowed, his heart filled with a sense of destruction and heavy responsibility. In his mind, he reflected. "The kingdoms must immediately find a way to create stronger seals. Rakshas like this cannot be allowed to roam freely. Their threat is becoming uncontrollable," he muttered inwardly. Master Vitjendra took a deep breath, then turned his gaze towards Captain Nansa and Nazzares. In a firm tone, he gave an order, "Nansa, inform all the soldiers to clean this place." "Understood, Captain!" Nansa replied, then hurried out of the cave to carry out the order. "Nazzares," Vitjendra turned to his disciple. "Search this cave. Look for anything suspicious. If there is something that could explain what happened here, report it to me." "Understood, Master," Nazzares replied briefly, though anger still burned within him. Master Vitjendra sighed heavily, then without hesitation, he approached the unconscious small raksha. Coldly, he unsheathed his sword and ended the little raksha''s life without mercy. Meanwhile, Nazzares began to explore every dark corridor of the cave with careful steps. He gripped his sword tightly, ready to face whatever appeared. But in his heart, he kept hoping¡ªno matter how small the hope¡ªthat there were still survivors from the village. Some time passed before Nazzares arrived at a large room inside the cave. His eyes immediately focused on a large tombstone in the center of the room. The stone emanated a strange aura, with mystical carvings resembling ancient symbols. He frowned, feeling familiar with the pattern. "Isn''t this the same pattern I found with Master in the forest?" Nazzares thought, his eyes studying the carvings carefully. "What is this?" he muttered as he stepped closer. "Is this evidence that an external force summoned the rakshas into this world?" A growing sense of suspicion intensified within him. Without much thought, Nazzares clenched his fist and destroyed the tombstone with a single powerful strike. Crash! The tombstone shattered into pieces, scattering into small fragments on the cave floor. Nazzares stared at the rubble with deep anger. However, he felt this wasn''t enough. He still had to continue his search. With more determination, he continued to navigate through the cave, looking for any remaining clues. Nazzares stopped in a dark and quiet corner of the cave, then closed his eyes. He began to focus his mystical energy to activate his observation ability. With full concentration, he scanned every corner of the cave¡ªroom by room, corridor by corridor. His mystical energy spread like an invisible wave, sweeping through the entire area around him. In the eerie silence, he felt something. There was life¡ªweak, but still there. He detected the presence of humans in a hidden room deep within the cave. Without wasting time, Nazzares opened his eyes and swiftly dashed towards the direction he had sensed. Whoosh! Upon entering the room, a heartbreaking sight greeted him. A young woman, about his age, was hanging with her hands tightly bound to the ceiling. Her body was covered in wounds, her clothes ragged, and her eyes were vacant, as if she had lost the will to live. In another corner, a small boy was curled up inside a small iron cage, trembling from the cold. Nazzares clenched his fist, holding back the boiling rage in his chest. "What kind of torture is this? What have they done to make them like this?" he muttered, his voice filled with both anger and sympathy. Quickly, he approached the young woman and released her bindings. She fell into his arms, her body limp and powerless. She tried to speak, but only a faint whisper came from her lips. Her eyes looked at Nazzares, but without hope¡ªas though she had given up on life. Nazzares felt his chest tighten seeing the woman in such a state. "Hey, hold on. I''ll get you out of here. You''re safe now," he said softly, trying to reassure her. After ensuring the young woman was safe, he moved to the small boy locked in the cage. He easily destroyed the lock using his energy, then lifted the boy out. The small child only looked at him with eyes full of fear, too weak to say anything. The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. With care, Nazzares carried both of them. The young woman on his shoulder and the small boy in his arms. Without hesitation, he hurriedly made his way out of the cave. "There¡¯s nothing more I can do here. The most important thing now is to save them," Nazzares thought, quickening his pace. One day later... All the bodies had been cleared, and the cave was now completely destroyed, leaving no trace behind. The families who witnessed the tragic state of their loved ones'' corpses wept uncontrollably, pouring out their deep sorrow. The other soldiers could only remain silent, giving space for the families to mourn. Funeral and Sobs Stacks of wood lay neatly in the middle of the vast field, next to the village now silent in mourning. The grieving families looked devastated, watching their loved ones'' bodies consumed by the funeral flames. Black smoke rose high, accompanied by the heartrending sobs that shattered the afternoon''s stillness. Amid the funeral procession, among the soldiers and villagers who came to pay their last respects, Master Vitjendra stood with calm composure yet undeniable authority. Beside him, Nazzares gazed at the blazing fire, his mind filled with questions that refused to quiet. "Master," Nazzares spoke softly, his voice almost drowned by the surrounding cries. "Will a Fatalis¡¯ life always be as bloody as this?" Vitjendra took a deep breath, his gaze never leaving the funeral fire. "I don''t know," he finally answered. "But you¡¯ve already chosen to be a Fatalis. Strengthen yourself, for one day, the thing you hold most dear may be ripped from you right before your eyes." Nazzares fell silent, digesting his teacher''s words. In his mind, being a Fatalis felt like a curse¡ªa fate that could neither be resisted nor rejected. The power granted by the will of the heavens might make them stronger, but the word "Fatalis" to Nazzares felt like cruel mockery from fate itself. Beneath that power lay a price to be paid in blood and loss. Two days later... Master Vitjendra sat calmly with Captain Nansa inside a tent, waiting for the right moment to speak to the girl they had just rescued. Aninda, the girl, sat on a small chair, her eyes vacant, though her body had started to recover. "Aninda," Master Vitjendra began gently. "How are you feeling now? Do you feel better?" Aninda nodded faintly, still holding a cup of warm tea that had been given to her by one of the soldiers earlier. "Alright, Aninda. We won¡¯t force you, but could you tell us a little about what happened to you before we found you?" Aninda lowered her head, biting her lip for a moment. With a trembling voice, she began to speak, "It happened so quickly, Master. When I woke up, I was already in that cave. I... I saw people being killed mercilessly... one by one." Her eyes began to well up. "Women, men, children... they were tortured and then killed. I could only wait for my turn... waiting for when they would kill me too." Master Vitjendra listened intently, his eyes full of sympathy. When Aninda finished telling her story, she simply lowered her head, tears flowing silently. "That... that¡¯s all I remember, Master Elf," she whispered, her voice almost lost in the emotions she was holding back. Master Vitjendra moved closer and gently placed his hand on Aninda''s head. "You¡¯re strong enough, Aninda. Don¡¯t worry, you¡¯re safe now," he said confidently. He tried to soothe the girl by channeling a bit of his mystic energy to calm the unease still lingering in her heart. Captain Nansa, standing by the tent''s entrance, nodded slowly, respecting how Vitjendra handled the situation. Without any need for more words, he understood that this young girl had gone through horrors no one should ever have to endure. Mission Accomplished Nazzares sat lost in thought on a stone by the riverbank, accompanied by the calming sound of flowing water. Fireflies reflected a warm light on the surface of the water. He tried to enjoy the moment, but his mind was still filled with the events in the cave and the bloodshed that had occurred earlier. Suddenly, a soft voice greeted him from behind. "Lord," Aninda called cautiously. Nazzares turned slightly, looking at the girl who seemed hesitant to approach him. "Yes? What is it?" Aninda stood with her hands folded in front of her body. "I... I just wanted to thank you. You saved me yesterday. If it weren¡¯t for you, I might have..." Her voice faltered, struggling to finish her sentence. Nazzares gave a slight smile. "Relax. It was my duty as a Fatalis. You don¡¯t need to thank me, Aninda. I¡¯m just doing what¡¯s right." After a brief silence, Aninda continued in a soft voice. "Lord, what is your name?" "I¡¯m Nazzares," he answered briefly, his gaze fixed on the darkening sky. "Lord Nazzares," Aninda called again, this time with a bit of hesitation. "Do you already have a wife?" Nazzares was taken aback by the question. "Huh? I¡¯m only 12 years old. Of course, it¡¯s not time for me to get married," he replied with a half-laugh. Aninda nodded but kept a serious expression on her face. "Well, but... if you¡¯re willing, will you make me your wife someday?" she said with a genuine smile, though her cheeks reddened with embarrassment. Nazzares froze for a moment. "Huh?!" he exclaimed, unable to believe what he had just heard. "Why, lord? Did I say something wrong?" Aninda asked innocently. Nazzares sighed deeply and tried to smile. "Sorry, Aninda. But I already have someone in my heart, and I love her very much," he said softly, the image of Kandita''s face crossing his mind. He could even imagine her smile, always encouraging him. Aninda fell silent, her smile fading a little, but she tried to remain strong. "That woman must be very lucky to have a man like you," she said softly. "I think I¡¯m the lucky one to have her," Nazzares replied with a small smile. "But don¡¯t worry, Aninda. You¡¯ll also find the best man for you one day." Aninda nodded gently. "Thank you, lord." She then turned and walked away slowly, leaving Nazzares alone. Though her heart was slightly disappointed, she knew that love couldn¡¯t be forced. Unbeknownst to them, Master Vitjendra had been eavesdropping on their conversation from behind a tree. With a smug smile, something seemed to occur to him. "Hehehe..." To be continued... Ch 015_anti-mystic & farewell After a long journey, Nazzares and Master Vitjendra finally arrived in Gousan Village. The village had a peaceful atmosphere, a stark contrast to the heavy mission they had just completed. Without delay, they headed straight to Abail¡¯s house¡ªNazzares¡¯ father. As soon as they reached the front of the house, the door was wide open, and an excited voice rang out from inside. "Nazzares!!" Kandhita shouted as she ran toward her fianc¨¦. She immediately threw her arms around him in a tight embrace, nearly knocking him off balance. "You took so long!" she whined playfully. Nazzares gave an awkward smile. "It was only four days, Kandhita! That¡¯s not long at all." However, before their conversation could continue, Master Vitjendra suddenly spoke in a serious tone, though a mischievous glint flickered in his eyes. "Oh, right. Nazzares, there¡¯s something I forgot to tell you." "What is it, Master?" Nazzares asked, confused. "It¡¯s from that beautiful girl we rescued. She sends her regards and said... she wants to marry you. In fact, she¡¯s willing to wait for your proposal anytime," Vitjendra said casually. Nazzares'' eyes widened. "Master! What are you talking about?! That¡¯s not true!" But his words only caught Kandhita¡¯s attention. Her eyes narrowed, her body emitted a dark aura, and her hair seemed to be blown by an invisible wind. "A girl? Beautiful? Marriage?" she muttered in a chilling tone. Nazzares immediately panicked. "Kandhita, wait! Listen to me! It¡¯s just a joke! Master Vitjendra is messing with you!" But it was too late. Kandhita had already transformed into a furious demon ready to strike. Out of nowhere, a large wooden log appeared in her hands. "So, you dare think about cheating on me?!" she shouted, gripping the log tightly. "Aaaaa! Master, help me!" Nazzares screamed in fear and ran as fast as he could. "Don¡¯t run, you coward! Face me!" Kandhita yelled, chasing after him with incredible speed, leaving trails of fire and smoke on the ground. Whoooosshhh... The incident ended with Nazzares lying flat on the ground in front of the house, his face swollen with lumps. Kandhita stood beside him, placing the wooden log down with satisfaction. Master Vitjendra, who had been watching the whole thing, merely chuckled and shook his head. A week later... "Zares! Have you discovered the name of your mystic technique yet? Every Fatalis has a name for their innate mystic ability," Master Vitjendra asked. "I¡¯m not sure, Master. Maybe as time passes and I grow more aware of my nature as a Fatalis, I¡¯ll eventually find the answer," Zares replied, casually tossing a rock into the river. In the end, every Fatalis calls out the name of their mystic technique when fighting. However, Zares was different. He could unleash his mystic techniques without the usual conditions¡ªwithout chanting their names or performing hand seals (mudra). "At first, during our training battles over the past six months, I thought your mystic technique was related to gravity manipulation. Turns out, I was wrong," Master Vitjendra remarked, recalling their past sparring sessions. He then took a deep breath, stood up, and continued, "Now, only two final techniques remain that I want to teach you." "What are they, Master? Haven¡¯t we covered everything already?" Nazzares asked, puzzled. "No, kid. Just watch¡ªI¡¯ll show you directly." Master Vitjendra drew his sword with his left hand. Then, to Nazzares¡¯ shock, he suddenly slashed his own right arm with the blade. Slash! "Hey, you crazy old man!! What are you doing?! Have you lost your mind?!" Zares shouted, both worried and bewildered by his master''s actions. "Shut up and just watch." Despite the panic, Zares saw that Master Vitjendra remained calm, even as blood gushed from his right arm. His expression was composed, showing no fear, as if he had complete control over the situation. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Wussss... A surge of mystic energy flowed through Master Vitjendra¡¯s body. Suddenly, bones began to regenerate, followed by veins weaving together, flesh forming anew, until his right arm was fully restored¡ªcompletely intact, as if it had never been wounded in the first place. "What the hell... What was that?!" Zares gaped in awe. "What you just witnessed was the Anti-Mystic technique," Master Vitjendra explained after demonstrating it. "Anti-Mystic? I don¡¯t get it¡ A-a-a... Aaaaaa, explain it again! What is that?!" Zares was both thrilled and confused. "Hey, calm down. Alright, I¡¯ll explain it properly," Master Vitjendra said, preparing to reveal the secrets of the Anti-Mystic technique. MYSTIC & ANTI-MYSTIC Mystic Energy (Negative Energy) Mystic techniques are, in essence, manifestations of mystic energy, which has existed within a Fatalis since they were in their mother''s womb. Mystic energy is pure negative energy¡ªbecause negative energy is mysticism itself. Only a Fatalis can use this energy. Non-Fatalis individuals require a special medium to obtain it, and even then, only in very limited amounts. Anti-Mystic (Positive Energy) Anti-mystic energy is the opposite of negative energy¡ªit is positive energy. However, unlike negative energy, which naturally exists in every Fatalis, anti-mystic energy must be produced by the Fatalis themselves by converting negative energy into positive energy. This is why ANTI-MYSTIC is considered a technique rather than simply energy. When a Fatalis masters anti-mystic energy, the number of techniques they can create expands significantly. However, using anti-mystic techniques requires a large amount of mystic energy, making it extremely draining. Overuse can also severely damage the brain. "Master¡!! You''re making everything even more complicated!" Zares groaned after hearing his teacher''s explanation. "Haaa¡ Relax," Vitjendra sighed. "Your grandfather was highly skilled in using anti-mystic energy. Maybe because his mystic energy capacity was four times greater than the average Fatalis." "Grandfather?" Zares repeated, still curious about mystic techniques. He then asked, "What happens if I overuse mystic techniques?" "You''ll feel tingling all over your body, your brain and heart will take damage, and... well, you might faint." Vitjendra answered seriously. Hearing this, Nazzares couldn''t believe there was still so much he had to learn, just when he thought he had become somewhat strong. "I don¡¯t know¡ Training a technique like that sounds like it will take a long time." Zares muttered, still struggling to understand anti-mystic energy. "Don''t think about it too much. I''m sure you''ll master it someday¡ªbecause you are my student." Vitjendra said with confidence. "Alright, Master." "*****" -----¦«----- ONE YEAR LATER -----V----- FAREWELL TO THE MASTER A full year had passed since Master Vitjendra returned to the village from his mission. Zares had trained tirelessly every day, constantly increasing the difficulty of his training. He even assisted his teacher in completing various missions. Throughout the year, Zares gained firsthand combat experience against Raksha and frequently sparred with his master. In both hand-to-hand combat and swordplay, Zares had grown strong enough to match Master Vitjendra. "Hey, don¡¯t cry. When you get married someday, I¡¯ll definitely come to see you." Vitjendra said as he bid farewell to Zares¡¯ family and Kandhita, who were present. "Alright, Master¡ Promise me." Zares replied, holding back tears as he prepared for a long separation from his master. "I promise. Now, hurry and enroll at the academy¡ªI¡¯ll be waiting for you both there." Vitjendra said. "Yes, Master!" Kandhita and Zares answered in unison. With that, after an emotional farewell, Master Vitjendra mounted his flying mystic beast¡ªa creature with a bizarre yet fierce appearance¡ªand set off on his journey. -----¦«----- TWO YEARS LATER -----V----- "Master, it seems I''ve gotten stronger after training for the past three years and fighting the Raksha I''ve encountered," Zares muttered to himself as he swiftly moved between the trees. Now, both Zares and Kandhita were 15 years old. Their wedding was scheduled to take place in one week at the village temple. Kandhita¡¯s family was busy preparing for the wedding of their only daughter. For an ordinary family, marrying a family member to a Fatalis was a great honor¡ªespecially if the groom was the one marrying a Fatalis. Under the scorching midday sun, Zares rested beneath a tree for shade. From a distance, he spotted Kandhita walking toward him, carrying food. "Hey... Here, eat this," Kandhita said, handing the food to Zares. "Thank you," Zares replied. "Time flies so fast, doesn¡¯t it? I can''t believe it¡¯s been two years since Master Vitjendra returned to the kingdom," Kandhita said, looking at Zares. "Mmm... yeah. You look beautiful today," Zares remarked while gazing at his future wife''s face. "Ugh, don¡¯t be such a flirt!" Kandhita responded, lowering her head in embarrassment. "Hey, isn¡¯t there a festival in the neighboring town tomorrow? Let¡¯s go there... It¡¯d be a great way to spend time together before our wedding," Zares suggested. "Alright. Besides, it''s not too far. Okay, just pick me up tomorrow," Kandhita agreed. --- At Abail¡¯s House That Night... "Father, tomorrow I¡¯m going to the festival in the next town. I might return late at night, or maybe I¡¯ll have to stay overnight," Zares said as he asked for permission. "Alright. Be careful, and don¡¯t forget to bring your sword, just in case. And you better make sure nothing happens to my beautiful future daughter-in-law!" Abail warned him. "Of course, Father," Zares assured him. "Here... Take this," Abail said as he handed Zares a potion. "What is this... You perverted old man!" Zares exclaimed, confused by what his father had given him. "Hey... Don¡¯t be shy," Abail teased, grinning mischievously. "Heeaaah¡ªAagghh!" Suddenly, Zares¡¯ foot flew toward Abail¡¯s face. BRAKK! "You dirty old man!" Zares shouted in frustration. But before he could react further, Abail leaped up and kicked Zares¡¯ face with both feet. BLAMM! "Act like a real man, you idiot!" Abail shouted at him. "ARRGHH... You old fool!" Zares yelled back. They continued bickering and wrestling throughout the night. Their odd father-son relationship, though chaotic, always lightened the mood. It was one of the reasons why Kandhita felt so at home with them. To be continued... Ch 016_Young Romance A quiet and cold morning was enveloped in thick fog, while the dew sparkled, soaking the roofs of the houses and the leaves of the trees in Gousan Village. ¡°Father, I¡¯m leaving!.. Father, haa, still sleeping, huh?¡± Nazzares was ready to leave, looking dashing with his hair tied back. He also wore the Abhiseka sword around his waist. Zares walked to Kandita¡¯s house, strolling down the streets of Gousan Village with a smile on his face. Meanwhile, at Tukiyem¡¯s house, Kandita¡¯s mother... ¡°My daughter is truly beautiful,¡± said Mother Tukiyem, brushing her daughter¡¯s hair. ¡°Hmmm... When you two were still babies, your father and I, along with Zarres'' mother, had already planned your marriage,¡± Tukiyem said with a soft smile. ¡°And you know? When this plan was made, your little, cute fingers were holding each other tightly. That sight made us even more certain about this decision,¡± she continued, full of memories. ¡°Ha... Really?¡± Kandita replied in surprise, her eyes wide as she listened to the story. ¡°Perhaps that¡¯s why I feel like I can never turn to another man,¡± she continued quietly, almost speaking to herself. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect Nazzares¡¯ mother to be a Fatalis. Why did she keep it a secret?¡± asked Tukiyem, confused. ¡°I don¡¯t know, Mother! But, Zares told me that after the incident 15 years ago, his mother wanted to live in peace and decided to isolate herself in this village,¡± Kandita explained to her mother. ¡°Ho... When I think about it, that incident 15 years ago was terrifying. I don¡¯t want to remember it anymore. Hi, God forbid,¡± said Tukiyem, a little scared to recall it. ¡°But what¡¯s even more surprising is that my future son-in-law is a Fatalis. I¡¯ve heard that he often fights Rakshas in the Blora forest...¡± Tukiyem said, amazed. ¡°Yeah... After that news spread, the villagers and his friends started treating him differently, almost like he¡¯s more respected now,¡± Kandita replied. ¡°Many women have even openly wanted to be his concubines,¡± Kandita said, frustrated, with a frown on her face. ¡°Alright, don¡¯t worry. Your future husband is indeed handsome. But you will have a big responsibility as the wife of a Fatalis. Especially since Zares chose you, a regular girl, as his wife,¡± Tukiyem said gently, hugging her daughter. ¡°Yeah, Mother. I will do my best to carry all of it,¡± Kandita smiled happily. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Knock knock knock. ¡°Hey, that must be Zares. Alright, I¡¯ll go out now,¡± Tukiyem said as she got up from the vanity to greet Zares. ¡°My son-in-law, you look very handsome today,¡± said Tukiyem. ¡°Hahaha... Thank you, Auntie,¡± Zares replied. Footsteps could be heard moving away. Tap, tap, tap. A woman, like an angel, appeared at the door, wearing a batik kebaya tied with a black cloth around her waist. Her jet-black hair and the flower tucked behind her ear made Zares stare, his mouth hanging open. ¡°Mmmm... aah... iii... mmmm... aah... let¡¯s go,¡± Zares said, his eyes still locked on Kandita¡¯s face. Feeling shy, Kandita lowered her gaze and smiled. ¡°Enjoy your time together,¡± Tukiyem called out, waving her hand. --- Zares and Kandita walked slowly toward the village gate, where they planned to wait for Sire Takur, who would give them a ride in his horse-drawn carriage. Sire Takur was a regular merchant who came to Zares¡¯ house every two weeks to pick up medicinal potions. These potions would then be sent to the nobles in the kingdom. His journeys were always long and tiring, so Sire Takur would usually spend the night at the village inn before continuing his travels. Yesterday, he had just taken a supply of medicinal potions from Zares'' house, as they had previously agreed upon. Now, Zares and Kandita stood by the side of the road, waiting for the dust from the road to signal that Sire Takur''s carriage was approaching. ¡°Kring kring kring tak ketutak ketutak,¡± the sound of jingling and hooves could be heard. ¡°Hey, have you been waiting long?¡± Sire Takur said, seeing the couple standing at the village entrance. ¡°No, Sire, we just arrived,¡± Zares replied. Zares gently but firmly took Kandita''s hand, helping her into the carriage carefully. After ensuring Kandita was seated comfortably, Zares climbed in and sat beside her. The horse-drawn carriage began to move slowly, the wheels creaking over the cobbled road, carrying them on their journey toward the destination still ahead. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ------ ------ Elsewhere, on the Blora forest hill... A mysterious light appeared, growing larger and larger, until it formed a dimensional portal. A hand with sharp claws at the fingertips slowly emerged from the portal. A Raksha, tall and thin with horns on its head and long hair down to its knees, emerged. A high-level Raksha had appeared. "This place is filled with mystical energy," the Raksha said after stepping out of the portal. "Damn, breaking the portal seal took so long," it added, irritated. ------ ------ Back to Zares, Kandita, and Sire Takur¡¯s journey as noon approached... ¡°We¡¯re almost there, Zares,¡± Sire Takur said to Zares. ¡°Alright, Sire,¡± Zares replied, sitting next to Kandita. ___~V~___ Serabi City The city gates of Serabi appeared in the distance. Around the gates, the bustle of people going about their daily activities was evident. Elves, orcs, goblins, and others blended in the hustle and bustle of city life. Along the roadside, large and magnificent statues had been prepared, awaiting the festival that would be held later that evening. The atmosphere was full of enthusiasm, as if the entire city was preparing to welcome this special moment. "Yeah, we¡¯ve arrived. Be careful, Zares, we¡¯ll part ways here. Take care of your beautiful wife... hahahaha," said Sire. "Alright, Sire, I¡¯m very grateful to you," Zares said after getting off at their destination. They waved each other goodbye at the crossroads until Sire''s carriage disappeared from view. Zares and Kandita then walked toward the gates of Serabi City. Zares held Kandita¡¯s hand tightly but gently, guiding her as they walked down the street in search of an inn. Since the event would last until night, they decided to stay there for the night. "It looks like there''s an inn over there," Zares said, noticing a sign for the inn. Zares and Kandita walked toward the inn. Upon reaching the receptionist, Zares immediately ordered two rooms for one night. "Uncle, I¡¯d like to book two rooms," Zares said to the innkeeper. "I¡¯m sorry, sir, but there¡¯s only one room left, though it¡¯s spacious enough for two beds. Would that be acceptable, sir? I¡¯ll have my staff prepare it for you." "What should we do?" Zares asked Kandita. "It¡¯s fine. I¡¯m already tired from walking. It''s festival day, so all the inns must be full. Just accept it," Kandita replied. "Alright then," Zares said. They rested for a while in the room after paying two gold coins for one night''s stay. "Sleep well! I¡¯ll wake you up in the afternoon," Zares said to Kandita. "Alright," Kandita said, then went to the adjoining room to change clothes before resting peacefully. "Be careful now, don¡¯t do anything while I sleep," Kandita warned. "Don¡¯t worry, I won¡¯t do anything," Zares replied, though he was clearly tempted by the beauty of his future wife. Exhausted, Zares eventually fell asleep from the overwhelming drowsiness. Zzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzz. Time passed, and the afternoon came. Zares, still fast asleep, slowly opened his eyes. As soon as he opened them, he saw Kandita sitting at the vanity table, carefully combing her hair and applying makeup. "You''re awake," Kandita said, looking very beautiful. "Quick, get ready! Before the festival starts, I want to explore the city," Kandita said. "Alright," Zares replied, smiling. Kandita and Zares left the inn. They wandered around the city, trying various foods, shopping for clothes, watching street performances, and engaging in other fun activities. The festival began with a stunning ketoprak performance. The actors performed scenes as the Fatalis, while others wore costumes resembling raksha. They presented a heroic scene depicting the events of fifteen years ago ¡ª a fierce battle against rakshas, where lives were at stake for victory and peace. The atmosphere was filled with admiration and emotion from the spectators witnessing this history brought to life. With the sound of melodic gamelan music, the actors'' performances became even more captivating, drawing the audience into the story. During this moment, Kandita slowly rested her head on Zares'' shoulder. This simple yet meaningful intimacy created a romantic atmosphere between them, as if the world around them had disappeared, leaving only the unforgettable memory of the event. After wandering and finding a place to rest... As Kandita and Zares walked side by side, holding hands along a quiet road, their steps suddenly halted when two thugs emerged from the shadows, blocking their path. Without warning, one of them pointed a sword at Zares. "Heh... give us all your money," the thug threatened with a menacing face. However, Zares showed a flat expression. Kandita, on the other hand, was frightened and hid behind Zares, pressing herself against his back. "Go away," Zares said. "What did you say, brat?" the thug replied, raising his voice. Meanwhile, the other thug, standing behind, noticed Kandita hiding behind Zares. "Oooiii, you''re so beautiful!! I¡¯m going to have some fun tonight," the thug said, with a filthy thought as he tried to touch Kandita. But Zares quickly grabbed the thug''s hand with a firm grip and said, "GET LOST." Zares'' eyes glowed red as he stared at the thug, releasing a bit of his mystic aura as a warning. The thugs felt a chilling pressure that sent shivers down their spines. "Kkk... Yo... Y... Yo... you... you¡¯re a... a Fatalis!" the thug stammered, fear in his voice. Meanwhile, the other thug stood frozen, his eyes wide with fear. The pants of the thug held by Zares began to dampen from fear. "Please forgive us, sir, forgive us, forgive us..." the thug pleaded, bowing. He then dragged his partner away, fleeing in panic. Kandita, feeling relieved and safe, immediately embraced her fianc¨¦, smiling with happiness. "Heh... I want to show you something nice," Zares said to Kandita, who was hugging him. "What is it?" Kandita replied. "Alright, hold on tight, I¡¯m going to carry you," Zares said. Kandita wrapped her arms around Zares, who then flew them across the dazzling city, with beautiful lights sparkling below them. After a while, they reached the Blora Forest Waterfall. There, various enchanting mystic creatures appeared among the flying fireflies. Beautiful plants with fragrant aromas filled the air, while the soft moonlight added to the magical beauty of the place. "Hey, how did you find a place like this?" Kandita asked while gently petting a mystic creature, similar to a cat, that approached her. "It''s beautiful, isn¡¯t it?" Zares knew this place because, during the festival when he was four years old, his parents had taken him here. Zares was mesmerized, watching Kandita play with the mystic creatures, smiling happily. The moonlight and the surrounding plants reflected gently on Kandita''s face, making her look enchanting. Zares couldn¡¯t take his eyes off her, his heart racing uncontrollably. Unconsciously, Kandita turned to look at Zares, and their eyes met in a silence full of meaning. The atmosphere became awkward, yet there was a strong pull between them that couldn¡¯t be explained. Zares slowly stepped closer, while Kandita remained still, her eyes seemingly permitting him. At such a close distance, they gazed at each other, feeling every passing second as though it were eternal. Finally, Zares gathered his courage to lift his hand, gently touching Kandita''s face. Carefully, he leaned in, their breaths mingling. Kandita closed her eyes, allowing the moment to unite them. Their lips met in a kiss full of warmth and intimacy, giving rise to a wave of emotions that words couldn¡¯t express. The world around them seemed to stop, leaving only two hearts now united in perfect harmony. To be continued... Ch 017_The Raksha Attack Gousan Village On a quiet night at the Majapahit Kingdom¡¯s military base, the soldiers were chatting and enjoying the cold night breeze. Meanwhile, atop a hill, between Gousan Village and the military base, the Raksha was observing, waiting for the perfect moment. "Heh, Zubrel, is your energy fully restored?" the Raksha asked his companion, another Raksha. "It¡¯s done. Now we just need to wait for the grunts to attack the village. Maybe I''ll have a little fun at the military base for a while," Zubrel, who was standing atop a tree, replied. "Alright, suit yourself. But it seems that elf has already left that place, so there¡¯s no more obstacle." "Really? Is he that strong? We had to wait two years just to attack this village?" Zubrel asked, slightly surprised. "Hey, didn¡¯t you hear the news? That elf defeated Brako with ease two years ago?" "Yeah, I heard that report," Zubrel answered, processing the fact. "With our dimensional restrictions, we have no chance of defeating someone that strong." "Alright, I get it." Zubrel smirked. "But I think there''s no need to worry anymore. We can move." "Good. I can open the dimensional gate whenever your time is almost up. I¡¯ve also placed a binding oath¡ªif you¡¯re about to die, I can immediately open the portal." "Hahahaha... so you¡¯re insulting me?" Zubrel chuckled. "Calm down, we can¡¯t underestimate anyone in a situation like this." "Alright, alright. You can go." "Okay, Zubrel, GO WILD!" The Raksha ended his sentence with an energetic shout. Zubrel paused for a moment, then smiled slightly before leaping toward the military base, walking slowly toward the location. Meanwhile, at the military base, the soldiers on duty began to hear footsteps coming from the darkness. "Hey, who¡¯s there?" one of the soldiers shouted. Tap.. Tap.. Tap.. The figure began to approach, slowly revealing itself. How shocked they were to see a tall, slender figure with long white hair that cascaded down to the knees, and grey skin that appeared lifeless. More terrifying, a hole in the shape of an eye was located in the figure¡¯s chest, going through to the back. Suddenly, one of the soldiers screamed, "Raksha!!" which startled everyone there. "Attack!" The command came, shaking the hearts of the soldiers who had no idea what they were facing. They attacked Zubrel all at once, but... what could they do? They were just regular soldiers, not Fatalis. Zubrel stood calm, as though not moving at all. With a single hand movement, he released a burst of purple fire so powerful that it scorched everything in an instant. The soldiers didn¡¯t even have time to scream before their lives were taken. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. BLARR..!!! The purple fire exploded with a deafening sound, creating a towering mushroom cloud that reached the sky. The cloud turned black, engulfing the entire military base in a blazing inferno. In an instant, the ground was left with nothing but burning embers, consuming everything. Zubrel laughed loudly, a joyful laugh at the destruction he had just created. "Hahahahaha..." The laughter echoed, lingering in the air, as portals began to open around the village, behind the forest. Hundreds of low-level Raksha, ready to attack, emerged from the darkness, their eyes glowing with fury. Gousan Village wouldn¡¯t stand a chance. ------ Meanwhile, elsewhere, far from Gousan Village, moments before the Raksha attack began. Nazzares and Kandhita were enjoying their time in Serabi City. However, despite the calm atmosphere around them, Nazzares felt a strange unease hanging over his thoughts. "Kandhita! It seems we shouldn¡¯t stay here overnight. I¡¯m feeling a bit uneasy," Nazzares said with a serious expression, his eyes scanning the city. "Alright, but how will we get back?" Kandhita asked with a worried tone, noticing the change in Nazzares'' demeanor. "Don¡¯t worry, I¡¯ll fly us back to the village. It takes about 6 hours by carriage, so I think it won¡¯t take long," Nazzares replied, trying to reassure Kandhita. "Alright," Kandhita answered, slightly hesitant, but she nodded, trusting Nazzares'' strength. Without saying more, Nazzares activated his mystic technique, and the two of them flew through the sky, leaving Serabi City at high speed. ----- Back at Zubrel¡¯s location, in the ruins of the military base, the purple fire still blazed, leaving nothing but ash and destruction. Zubrel stood in the center, enjoying the chaos he had just created. A satisfied smile appeared on his face, but he knew this was just the beginning. Around him, dark portals began to open, and hundreds of low-level Raksha began to emerge, ready to invade Gousan Village. Zubrel observed carefully, ensuring everything was going according to plan. This success was only the first step in destroying what lay ahead of him. ----- The Raksha Attack Gousan Village In the middle of the quiet night, the sky above Gousan Village stretched dark and starless. Abail sat on the porch of his modest home, enjoying a cup of strong black coffee while casually smoking his congklang. The silence of the night felt like a thin blanket, calming and peaceful. But that peace didn¡¯t last long. "BOOMMM!" A thunderous explosion shattered the night¡¯s silence. The shockwave was so powerful that the walls of Abail''s house trembled, and his coffee cup almost toppled from the small table in front of him. The sound reverberated throughout the village, leaving a lingering fear in the air. Abail¡¯s body tensed. Without thinking, he sprang to his feet, moving swiftly outside. His breath was rapid, and his eyes scanned the village, searching for the source of the explosion. His heart pounded louder than usual. Something was wrong in the air that night¡ªsomething unusual that caused the peace of Gousan Village to vanish in an instant. Abail looked up toward the source of the explosion, his eyes widening as he saw thick black smoke rising high from the military base on the eastern hill. Red flames flickered amidst the smoke, like a monster rampaging in the darkness. Suddenly, his ears caught the sound of rumbling¡ªnot an explosion, but something else, like the sound of thousands of footsteps stomping the earth. The noise grew closer, vibrating the air, resembling the rhythm of chaos that couldn¡¯t be ignored. Abail stood frozen, his body stiff in the middle of the empty village road. His breath came in quick gasps as he realized something shocking: this wasn¡¯t the sound of human footsteps. "By the gods... what is that?" he whispered, almost unheard by himself. The rumbling was now accompanied by howling and strange screeches, the sounds of creatures Abail had never heard before. From the direction of the hill, large shadows began to appear beneath the dim light of the moon. The creatures moved quickly, charging toward the village with a ferocity akin to a wild storm. To be continued... Ch 018_My son, forgive me THE DEATH OF THE FATHER Abail turned around, his knees shaking, but his instincts pushed him to run. He knew there was little time before they arrived. "Tong tong tong tong tong tong... TONG!!" The sound of the gong being struck loudly echoed throughout the village, waking those who were still asleep. It was followed by panicked shouts that shattered the stillness of the night: "RAKSHA! THERE ARE RAKSHA! RAKSHA IS HERE!!" Chaos erupted instantly. Villagers rushed out of their homes, some holding torches, others barely dressed. But all their faces showed the same expression of fear. "BOOOMMM!" Another explosion rang out, this time much closer. Wails of anguish mixed with hysterical screams filled the air. "RUN! EVERYONE RUN! THE RAKSHA HAVE ARRIVED!!" The sound of the terrifying creatures'' footsteps now blended with the frantic cries of the villagers trying to escape. Abail ran through the crowd, desperately trying to keep his footing. Smoke, fire, and the sound of cracking burning wood melded together. He glanced back briefly and saw it: a massive figure, pitch black, with glowing red eyes, and a hole piercing through its body, moving like a vicious shadow without mercy. "This is no longer Gousan village..." Abail thought, his body trembling. "This has become hell." The Raksha attacked with uncontrollable ferocity. Their claws tore through everything in their path, while their roars echoed, filling the night with unspeakable horror. Panicked villagers ran toward the forest, hoping to find refuge among the dark trees. But that hope was quickly dashed. From all directions, the Raksha had surrounded them. The large shadows moved swiftly, closing off every escape route. There was no way out. The cries of children began to echo, creating a heartbreaking harmony with the desperate screams of the parents trying to protect their families. In the darkness, blood spilled onto the streets, staining the once peaceful village. Black smoke billowed from the burning houses, while flames greedily licked the thatched roofs. Buildings that had once stood strong now collapsed one by one, leaving rubble scattered everywhere. Amidst the chaos, Abail stood, breath ragged, his body covered in dust and wounds. He could do nothing but watch the unrelenting horror unfold. His heart heavy with despair. But deep inside, a resolve began to grow. "If this is the end... I won''t go without a fight," he muttered, his eyes taking in the horrific scene. Elsewhere, Zubrel, the high-ranking Raksha, watched on... "Tch...!! Weak creatures who don''t even deserve to live," said the Raksha as he observed the destruction of the village from the hilltop, watching his Raksha army do their work.Love this story? We are simply taking back what they stole," the Raksha spoke, his voice cold. "No matter what we do, the blood we spill, the slaughter we cause, all of it will be the first step in reclaiming what is rightfully ours..." "Hahahahahahahahaha" In the midst of his laughter, he spotted an elderly man (Abail) helping a wounded child, using a strange healing technique. "Hooooo... What kind of potion is that? How is he applying something like that and healing the wound?" Curious to see it up close, the high-ranking Raksha leapt toward the old man. WHOOSH "Hey, what are you doing, old man?" the Raksha said, towering nearly three times over Abail. "He can speak...?? He must be a high-level Raksha," Abail thought, realizing the Raksha before him was incredibly powerful. "Hey, can you hear me, you deaf creature?" the Raksha snarled, angered by Abail''s silence. Suddenly, the Raksha snatched the child from Abail''s arms. "Hey... no!" Abail responded, shocked. "Hah, so you can speak, human," the Raksha replied after hearing Abail''s voice. The child''s screams were deafening as it writhed in fear of the Raksha. "Let go! Let go!" the child cried out. "You¡¯re so noisy," the Raksha said, then cruelly burned the child with its fiery flame until nothing remained but ash. "Nooo...!!!" Abail screamed as he saw the child killed by the Raksha. But all he could do was watch it burn, then he collapsed, his knees giving way, his body already weak. Then the Raksha approached Abail, who was still kneeling. Tap tap The sound of footsteps amidst the chaos. "You will die," Abail said, glaring at the creature. "Hoo... You have some courage to say that to me, human," the Raksha replied, then strangled Abail, lifting his body off the ground. Abail screamed in pain: ARRGHH..!! HEGGH..!! Already choked by the Raksha, Abail whimpered in pain and grabbed the Raksha''s hand with all his strength, trying to free himself. "Hooo... Boring," the Raksha said, growing tired. Without any more words, it cut Abail''s body in half with its fiery sword. Wrrrr slashh [..Ngiiing..] - [..silence..] In the silence on the edge of death, Abail whispered the name of his son. "My son, forgive me, I couldn''t be there with you," Abail spoke between life and death. "My wife, forgive me... I couldn''t keep my promise to stay with Nazzares," Abail''s voice broke as he remembered his late wife, in the moments leading to his death. All the beautiful memories with his wife, Falghuni, and his son, Nazzares, flooded his mind. He remembered how happy he was when his son was born, from a nursing infant to the moment he started learning to walk. "Nazzares, I love you so much." [..Ngiiing..] [..DIE..] Meanwhile, the Raksha, feeling mocked by Abail''s words, said: "Pathetic insect!" From the distance, the Raksha felt a strong presence approaching, which brought him some amusement. "Oh... It seems something entertaining is coming." Braaakkk Nazzares landed directly in front of the Raksha and his father''s lifeless body. Before Nazzares landed with full speed, he had returned to the village and secured Kandita in a safe place after seeing the village in ruins. Using his observation skills, he tracked his father¡¯s location. But what he saw was a horrifying sight. With his own eyes, he saw his father''s upper and lower body separated, lifeless, blood still flowing onto the earth. "A... aa... a... Father..." Zares'' voice trembled, almost choked, as he stood frozen in front of his father¡¯s body, now split in two. His eyes widened, wet with unshed tears. The chaos around him seemed to fade, replaced by the crushing pain tearing at his heart. However, suddenly... [Anger] DUAAAAARRRRR!! A massive burst of mystic energy exploded from Zares'' body. His pupils glowed bright red, like an unquenchable fire. "Hoooo," the Raksha smiled as it saw the mystic energy from Nazzares. The mystic aura emanating from him was so intense that it created shockwaves that shattered everything around him. The ground beneath Zares'' feet cracked, forming a pattern of fractures that spread out like a spider''s web. Nearby trees swayed violently, some even fell under the pressure of the overwhelming energy. The Rakshas around him instantly stopped, their bodies jerked backward by the immense force radiating from him. Zares was no longer the same. He slowly lifted his face, staring at the Raksha that had killed his father. Now, he was merely a target for the uncontrollable wrath. In a deep, cold voice, Zares whispered: "You... You... you... I will kill you." With tears still streaming from his eyes, he glared at the Raksha, his gaze full of a burning desire to kill. To be continued... Ch 019_ZUBREL "T-This kid..! What kind of power is this?!" ZUBREL vs NAZZARES ***** "I will kill you..!" "Kill me? Hahahahaha...! So, he was your father? I should have burned him earlier. No, cut him to pieces," said the Raksha mockingly. With a shattered heart and a mind full of rage, Nazzares lunged forward, striking the Raksha¡¯s face with lightning speed. BLAMM! "ARRRGGHHH!" screamed the Raksha as he was sent flying deep into the Blora forest, crashing through trees and rocks. Each impact left a path of destruction, marking his violent trajectory. BLAMM! DUAARRR! "DAMN YOU, BRAT...!" the Raksha roared angrily, cursing the brutal punch he had just received. However, Nazzares was already behind him in an instant. Just as the Raksha stopped from his forced flight, still in a kneeling position... FLASSSHH! With his right fist enveloped in mystical energy, Nazzares'' hand surged with an extraordinary force. WUSSS WUSSS ¨C The sound of overflowing energy. That powerful punch struck the back of the Raksha¡¯s head while he was still kneeling from the previous attack. "AAAAAAA... DIE!" Nazzares shouted fiercely, tears streaming down his face, blending with his unstoppable power. BLAMM! The Raksha collapsed, his body forced into an unnatural position by the sheer force of the blow. His face slammed into his own knees, causing blood to spurt from his mouth. DUGGHH! BLAARRR! The ground around the Raksha caved in, forming a massive crater due to the sheer pressure of the attack. Nazzares stood tall, ready to deliver the final blow. He coated his fist with that nameless mystical technique, energy surging violently from within him. The surroundings trembled violently, rocks and trees lifting into the air under the weight of the mystical aura. But as he prepared, suddenly, purple flames erupted from within the Raksha''s body, triggering a massive explosion. BOOMMMM! The explosion set the surrounding trees ablaze, turning the entire area into a sea of fire. Amidst the raging purple flames, the Raksha stood tall, unscathed, a mocking smile on his face as he looked at Nazzares. "HO... I''m impressed. Even with flames that strong, you haven''t moved an inch from your position," the Raksha sneered, savoring his power. "WHAT''S WITH THAT LOOK?" Zubrel growled, irritated, and immediately launched a counterattack. He enveloped his fists in purple fire and, without another word, swung them at Nazzares. BLARRR! The blazing fire scattered wildly upon striking Nazzares, but Nazzares had already activated an invisible barrier, deflecting the fiery attack before it could reach him. BLAMMM! In a flash, Nazzares struck the Raksha¡¯s stomach with full force, sending him flying once more. "ARRGGGHHHH! DAMN YOU!" The Raksha screamed in agony from the devastating punch. But he quickly regained his balance and said, "Come forward," his voice deep and guttural, like a wild beast. "I will burn you to ashes!" Zubrel leaped like lightning, hurling a purple fireball at Nazzares. The ball shot forward with deadly speed, incinerating everything in its path. The trees behind Nazzares collapsed, instantly turning to charcoal. Yet Nazzares merely lifted his left hand slightly. The fireball stopped mid-air, hovering several meters in front of him, then slowly spun as if held by an unseen force. With a flick of his fingers, he hurled it back at Zubrel. Zubrel dodged with a swift sidestep, but the fireball pursued him relentlessly. "You''re playing with your life, brat!" he roared. Slamming his fist into the ground, he created an explosion of fire, shattering the earth around him. Debris and stones flew in every direction, yet Nazzares stood unmoved.Stolen novel; please report. From Nazzares'' fingertips, the air itself seemed to sharpen into deadly weapons. Tree branches snapped, lifted, then shot toward Zubrel like arrows. Some pierced his tough skin, causing thick black blood to seep out. "I WILL TEAR YOU APART!" Zubrel bellowed. He slapped his chest, searing his wounds with purple flames to stop the bleeding, then charged again. He created a wall of fire, encircling Nazzares, trapping him. Nazzares did not move. With a single flick of his hand, the entire fire wall crumbled, vanishing like a candle blown out. Zubrel growled in frustration. Gathering all his strength, he unleashed an enormous surge of purple flames that licked the sky like a dragon. The ground cracked, trees fell, and the sky darkened to a deep blue-black. Nazzares raised both hands this time. In an instant, Zubrel''s body lifted off the ground. The Raksha struggled, slashing his claws and spewing fire, but he kept rising higher and higher. ----- Meanwhile, where Kandhita was... Zares had hidden Kandhita, along with women and children, on the outskirts of the village. Now, they were blocked by a low-level Raksha. The children began to cry in fear, exhausted from running. Some of them were injured, leaving no way for them to escape further. "What now? They can¡¯t run anymore..." Kandhita thought to herself. Moreover, the men were all fighting alongside the soldiers against the Rakshas. Now, she was the only one left capable of moving. "Everyone, hide! I will distract it!" Kandhita instructed the people around her. "No, sister, don''t go!" her younger brother, Samsul, protested, trying to stop her. "Hey, don''t worry. I will be back," Kandhita assured him before kissing his forehead. "Hurry and hide with mother." Kandhita sprinted at full speed, leading the Raksha away. The creature chased after her, crawling and leaping between the trees. With the sword Zares had given her, she prepared to fight. However, the Raksha was too fast for an ordinary human like Kandhita. She was sent flying from a single strike, her left thigh slashed. The wound prevented her from running, even standing became difficult. She held back her tears from the pain, but with determination¡ª"Aaaaaaaa!"¡ªKandhita gripped the Abhiseka Sword tightly and swung it forward. SLAASSHH! The powerful slash cut through the Raksha, slicing it in two. Its body slowly disintegrated into ashes. Kandhita was also thrown backward, crashing into a tree, injuring her back from the recoil of the sword¡¯s power. She struggled to stand, grabbed Zares¡¯ sword, and tore a piece of her skirt to bandage her thigh, preventing the wound from widening and stopping the bleeding. Taking out a healing potion tied around her waist, she poured it over her wound. "Mmmhhhkkkss!" She bit back a cry from the pain. Then, using mystical healing energy, she tried to halt the bleeding. But before she realized it, she was too exhausted¡ª She fainted. #Flashback "I¡¯m giving you my sword. I have embedded my technique into it¡ You only need to slash forward if a Raksha stands before you," Zares had said, handing his sword to Kandhita for protection. ------ Back to the final battle between Nazzares and Zubrel... The battle between Nazzares and Zubrel, the high-level Raksha, raged on. Their strength and speed were evenly matched, each blow shaking the battlefield. Suddenly, a portal appeared¡ªZubrel¡¯s time in this realm, the Bhumi Dimension, was running out. "Damn... my time¡¯s up..." Zubrel muttered in frustration, unwilling to end such an enjoyable battle. "You got lucky, you damn human¡ because my time has¡ªARRRRGHHH!" However, before Zubrel could finish his words, Nazzares struck his chest with lightning speed. BLAM! The punch pierced through Zubrel¡¯s body, tearing through his back from the inside. "ARRGGHHH!" Zubrel screamed, blood spurting from his mouth as his body was flung backward. But before he could be thrown too far, Nazzares halted his momentum using his mystical technique, forcefully seizing his body in mid-air. BAAMM! A powerful explosion of energy erupted, violently twisting Zubrel¡¯s body backward. His bones shattered, and some parts of his body even protruded outward. KRAKK! Blood gushed from Zubrel¡¯s body. Nazzares continued his assault by yanking his hand out of Zubrel¡¯s torso. KREEEK! Then, he twisted Zubrel¡¯s head with immense force. CRAAACK! The sickening sound of breaking bones filled the air. SRRRAKK! Zubrel¡¯s mouth tore open as Nazzares ripped both of his legs apart with overwhelming strength. With a single movement, he clawed into Zubrel¡¯s stomach, tearing it open as blood spilled endlessly. Despite the excruciating agony, Zubrel managed to choke out his words, "T-This kid..! What kind of power is this?!" "UAAARRGGHH!!" Nazzares let out a furious roar, his blind rage fueling his relentless assault, reducing Zubrel¡¯s already broken body to an unrecognizable mess. Suddenly, as Nazzares was still fixated on Zubrel¡¯s nearly lifeless form, a massive hand emerged from within a portal. The giant hand struck Nazzares with incredible speed, sending him flying toward the village. DUUUGHSSSS! The enormous hand swiftly grabbed Zubrel¡¯s defeated body and pulled him into the portal. "JUST YOU WAIT! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!" Zubrel growled with eyes burning with hatred as he was slowly dragged into the portal by the gigantic hand. "REMEMBER THIS, YOU LOWLY CREATURE!" he spat, his gaze filled with malice. Nazzares, having been struck so suddenly without any chance to react, felt his consciousness slipping away. His vision blurred as tears streamed down his face. Once again, he was forced to witness the sight he despised the most¡ªthe lifeless body of his father lying on the ground. With slow steps, Nazzares approached the corpse. "Tap... tap... tap... tap..." His footsteps echoed through the eerie silence. As he got closer, he stopped and knelt beside his father¡¯s body. No words came out¡ªonly the sound of his quiet sobs breaking the silence. "F-FATHER...!" Nazzares screamed in his heart, but no sound escaped his lips. His cries remained trapped in his chest, suffocating him with grief. Tears continued to fall, drowning him in unbearable sorrow. "AAAAAAAAA..." His voice, growing hoarse and weak, carried the weight of his devastation. To be continued... Ch 020_Funeral Fire THE THRONE ROOM OF THE MAJAPAHIT KINGDOM In the grand palace of the Majapahit Kingdom in Trowulan, the Fatalis and the king were holding an important meeting. Suddenly, a soldier rushed into the room, panting heavily, and immediately knelt before the leaders, bringing urgent news about the events that occurred in Gousan Village the previous night. "Forgive me, Your Majesty," the soldier said, his breath still ragged. "I must report that Gousan Village was attacked by a group of Raksha. According to the reports I received, there is one Raksha with a high-level threat leading them." His voice was filled with tension, reflecting the seriousness of the situation that had just transpired. The leaders and the King were shocked to hear the soldier''s report. "What? How could this happen?" asked the King, his once-sturdy frame now standing, signaling deep unease. "Then, what is the condition of the village?" he continued, his voice firmer, demanding further explanation. "The village has been completely destroyed, nothing is left," the soldier replied in a heavy tone. "The Raksha also destroyed our military base. Of all the soldiers present, only two survived, but they are severely wounded and in critical condition." His face was filled with worry, portraying the tragic nature of the attack. Vitjendra, upon hearing the report, immediately panicked, his thoughts drifting to the safety of Kandita and Nazzares. "Then, what about Nazzares, the student I trained? He should have been there, right?" asked Master Vitjendra, his voice filled with concern, clear anxiety lacing his words. He looked at the soldier, hoping for some good news that could ease his worry. "Forgive us, Captain," the soldier replied, bowing his head, his voice full of regret. "As of now, there have been no reports regarding him." "Your Majesty, may I go to Gousan Village?" Vitjendra said, kneeling before King Hayam Wuruk, requesting permission to act immediately. "Very well, but take some guards with you for safety," King Hayam Wuruk responded firmly, granting the request. "Allow me to accompany Captain Vitjendra, Your Majesty," said Commander Druvh, offering his services respectfully. "I will also go, with Captain Vitjendra, Your Majesty," added Captain Ahtreya, expressing his willingness to join. "Alright, it seems three Fatalis should be more than enough," said King Hayam Wuruk, his sharp gaze fixed on them. "Now, I order you to go to Gousan Village. Save whatever can be saved." "Yes, Your Majesty!" they replied in unison, their voices filled with resolve. As they left the hall, His Majesty Hayam Wuruk stood still for a moment. Anger and regret overtook him. He clenched his fist, then slammed it into the backrest of his grand throne. The sound of the impact echoed through the now-silent room. "Every military base should have at least one Fatalis on guard," he thought, his emotions running high. His gaze was sharp, filled with deep regret over his negligence as a leader. ------- Back to the destroyed Gousan Village after the Raksha attack... Kandita awoke from her long fainting spell, gasping for breath. The Abhiseka sword was still tightly gripped in her hand, as though it was her last hope. Pain coursed through her body, the wounds burning with every movement. With her legs severely injured, she struggled to stand, taking slow steps toward the village. Tap... tap... tap... Her steps were slow, staggered in the midst of the darkness. The sun was beginning to rise in the distance, but the shadows of Gousan Village''s destruction still haunted her mind.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Her eyes could not hold back the tears as she saw the scattered corpses, bloodstains staining the ground, and buildings reduced to nothing. Black smoke still billowed from the remnants of the fire from the night before, mixing with the cold morning air that cut through her bones. Everything around her created a horrifying atmosphere, like hell had descended upon the earth. Her heart was crushed with sorrow and rage, intertwined as one. "Big sister!!! Aaaaaaaa... Big sister... Father... aah... Father... is gone..." Samsul sobbed, his voice broken as he tried to speak between his tears. His eyes were swollen, filled with fear and grief. Kandita froze for a moment, her body stiffening. She didn¡¯t need to hear the rest of Samsul¡¯s words to understand what her little brother was trying to say. Her heart shattered, but she held back her tears. With swift steps, she reached Samsul and embraced him tightly, trying to protect him from the unbearable pain. "It¡¯s okay... don¡¯t cry, Samsul," Kandita whispered softly, even though her own heart was broken. The embrace was the only protection she could offer amidst the devastation surrounding them. The survivors of the incident were only a few women and children. Their faces were pale, their bodies trembling beneath the shadow of destruction. Most of the men had perished, likely while trying to fight off the lower-level Raksha. They fought until their last breath, risking everything to protect their village. But now, only memories and destruction remained, leaving deep scars for those still alive. "Alright, go to mother now," said Kandita gently yet firmly, looking at her little brother still sobbing. Samsul nodded slowly, his steps heavy as he reluctantly left his sister. After ensuring her brother had gone, Kandita reached for the potion from her belt. Her hands trembled as she unwrapped the cloth covering her wound. The injury was gaping, still bleeding, but she had no other choice. Carefully, she poured the potion directly onto the wound. "Heeeggggkkkk!" Kandita gritted her teeth, holding back the intense pain. Her body trembled as the pain spread, but she refused to let weakness take over. Slowly, she closed her eyes, regulated her breathing, and began to concentrate. Her mystic energy flowed, merging with her body, attempting to accelerate the healing of the wound that was draining her strength. After some time, the wound on Kandita¡¯s body began to dry. Though her body still felt exhausted, she could now walk normally. Without wasting any time, she rushed to search for Nazzares, walking swiftly while constantly glancing around, hoping to find signs of her fianc¨¦¡¯s presence. Her steps led her to the edge of the village, near the river where the villagers once washed their clothes. However, the scene there was now different. Destruction had overtaken the area. Trees had fallen, the earth was scarred, and traces of battle were evident. The place was now silent, leaving only the remnants of the fierce struggle between Nazzares and the Raksha the night before. Kandita¡¯s heart raced. "Nazzares! Where are you?" she muttered anxiously, her gaze sharp as she continued searching the area. Meanwhile, at the place where Nazzares had not slept all night, still staring at his father¡¯s corpse... In the vast expanse of land by the riverbank, Nazzares sat frozen. His body was rigid, not moving at all. In front of him lay the body of his father, skin paling, cold with time. His mind was empty. His gaze was hollow, staring but not truly seeing. His heart felt as though it had stopped beating, consumed by an unbearable emptiness. Only silence and emptiness filled him, like a night without stars. The only family he had left was now gone, taken from him in such a cruel manner. It felt like the world had abandoned him, leaving him alone in a suffocating silence. Kandita, seeing Nazzares from a distance, knelt. Without thinking, she ran toward her fianc¨¦, filled with worry and tears. Tap... tap... tap... Kandita¡¯s steps halted abruptly when she saw Nazzares kneeling frozen in front of Abail''s body. Her body shuddered at the sight of the corpse, which was horrifyingly disfigured, covered in wounds and dried blood. Kandita covered her mouth, holding back the sobs that nearly escaped her. Her eyes reddened, tears flowing without end, but she didn¡¯t want Nazzares to hear her crying. "mmmhh," Kandita stifled her sobs. She reconsidered her impulse to embrace her beloved, afraid of touching the wound clearly visible in Nazzares¡¯ heart. She slowly knelt behind him, sitting between his heels, her body trembling. However, the tears she could no longer hold back finally flowed freely. She cried in silence, sharing in the sorrow without uttering a single word. one days later... In the middle of the now-destroyed village, rows of wood were neatly arranged, ready to receive the lifeless bodies, placed one by one. The funeral ceremony began. Fire would consume the bodies that lay atop the wood, one by one. Nazzares held a torch in his hand, his empty eyes staring at his father¡¯s body covered in white cloth, a body that would soon be turned to ashes. With slow steps, he approached the woodpile, his heart haunted by an indescribable sense of loss. "Ssssttt... krek-krek..." The flames roared, swiftly spreading, burning the row of bodies with immense force, while silence prevailed, only interrupted by the broken sobs of the families left behind. Kandita approached, wrapping her arms around Nazzares with love, trying to comfort him with a hug she never wanted to let go of. In that embrace, Nazzares could no longer hold back. His tears broke free, his body shaking in the warmth of her embrace. To be continued... Ch 021_Wedding Fire THE WEDDING One week after the incident... The wedding of Zares and Kandita was held at the village temple, now reduced to ruins. Amidst the crumbling walls, their marriage symbolized a new hope following the devastation that had enveloped them. The procession of the remaining villagers walked slowly, following their meaningful steps. Among the crowd were Kandita''s mother, brother, and sister, who had just returned after hearing the news. Their faces, once filled with worry, had now transformed into hope, though still bearing deep wounds. The Fatalis who had arrived, along with a priest from the city of Serabi, were ready to lead the ceremony. In the silence and beauty emanating from the ruined temple, the priest began chanting sacred mantras, accompanying the wedding that, though simple, was full of meaning. Zares and Kandita exchanged glances. Amid the bustle and unspoken sadness, they knew this was a new beginning, though the world around them had yet to heal. They then circled the sacred fire, chanting mantras as the priest did, their steps synchronized as a single piece of cloth tied them together. Nazzares held his wife''s hand tightly. Nazzares stared sharply at the statue of the god, thinking to himself, "God, is this truly the plan you¡¯ve prepared?" Meanwhile, Druvh, observing the ceremony, remarked, "Is it really necessary to have a wedding ceremony like this?" he said to Ahtreya. "Yes, for people from such a remote village, this kind of ceremony is still believed in," Ahtreya replied. "I¡¯m surprised they¡¯re only 15 years old," Druvh said. "What! It¡¯s completely normal for humans to marry at such a young age? Don¡¯t compare them to other races," Ahtreya responded sharply. Five days after the wedding... Druvh and Ahtreya wandered around the village that had been destroyed. "Looking at the aftermath of the battle here, it must have been a fierce fight," Druvh said, walking slowly with Ahtreya, inspecting every corner that still bore traces of violence. "Yes... I thought the same," Ahtreya replied, his eyes scanning the ruins and the bloodstains still visible. "But is it really true that the Captain¡¯s disciple could be this strong?" he added. "Perhaps," Druvh answered calmly, though his face still showed signs of surprise. "The Captain trained him for almost two years. That¡¯s no short period of time." Ahtreya nodded, pausing to reflect for a moment. Everything they saw indicated just how intense the battle had been, and the Captain¡¯s disciple, despite being young, seemed strong enough to fight Raksha at a high threat level. Meanwhile, Kandita¡¯s mother, brother, and sister were preparing to leave the village. Her brother, Jumanto, planned to take their mother back to Trowulan and settle there, away from the devastation now consuming the village they once called home. "Little sister, I¡¯m leaving now... Please catch up with us soon, with your husband. We¡¯ll wait for you in Trowulan," Jumanto said in a heavy voice, yet filled with hope. "Yes, brother. I want to see my nephew too. I¡¯m sure he¡¯s very handsome, just like his father," Kandita replied with a smile, though there was unspoken sadness in her eyes. With hearts full of emotion, her brother and mother embraced, saying their goodbyes. In that embrace, there was love, longing, and a sincere prayer for a better future. Even though they had to part, they knew that family bonds could never be severed, even as the world around them had become so fragile.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. "Yes, Guru. I will stay here for a full year before entering the academy to gain knowledge there," Zares answered with confidence, which was evident in his voice. "Alright, I will wait for you. During this week, we''ve helped repair your house, though it''s still far from being livable. The military base has also been cleared by the kingdom''s forces, though only its ruins remain. Now, this village may be wiped off the map of the Majapahit Kingdom, as there are no longer any inhabitants left," replied Guru Vitjendra, his voice filled with concern. Zares nodded slowly. "Alright, Guru. What I can do here is plant trees across the village. I want this village to be filled with trees. That is what I can do to honor those who became victims. I will also plant trees with their ashes. At least the good people who sacrificed their lives will continue to live in the village through the trees." Guru Vitjendra smiled gently upon hearing his student''s answer. "Well, your wish is noble. But hurry, Zares. Stay strong and become the Fatalis of the kingdom, so you can find your true self." "Yes, Guru," replied Zares, his voice full of determination, feeling more ready to face the challenges ahead. In the afternoon, as the Fatalis of the kingdom prepared to return to the kingdom to report everything to King Hayam Wuruk. "Be careful, Guru, wait for me for a year," said Zares as he watched the Fatalis ride their mystical beasts and fly home. A few days later... Zares was repairing his house, which had been damaged after the destruction caused by the Raksha attack. Armed with the tools given to him by his teacher, purchased from the Serabi city, he began fixing his house and replacing all the wooden structures that were no longer usable. Meanwhile, in an area that was once filled with life, Kandita began planting new trees. With the seeds bought by Guru Vitjendra from Serabi city, she carefully planted them one by one. Each hole she dug became a testament to her desire to honor those who had gone. In each hole in the earth, Kandita gently scattered the ashes of the departed, a mixture of those who had fallen in the village''s destruction. Each grain of ash that fell into the ground became a prayer, a deep tribute to the souls who sacrificed their lives. These trees would not only be silent witnesses, but also a place to remember those who had passed, who would now live again in the form of new life, growing strong and lush. Kandita wiped the sweat from her brow but did not stop. Every tree she planted was a promise to keep their memory alive, even though the world had changed, and the once lively village was now only a memory. In solitude and silence, these trees would grow, bringing peace and new hope for a better future. Zares'' house, located on the slope of a hill near a waterfall, was beginning to be threatened by eroding soil. Using his physical strength, Zares started collecting large rocks and planting them on the slope to stabilize the soil around his house. Each rock he placed acted as a barrier, preventing the soil from eroding further and protecting his house from natural threats. Despite the fatigue, Zares continued working with resolve, ensuring his house would stand firm. One month later... A month had passed, and Zares'' house was now fully repaired, fit to live in again. The village area, which was once destroyed, had now begun to be filled with small, thriving trees, offering a new hope. Even the entrance gate of the village, which once marked the way, had now been completely destroyed by Zares. In its place, he planted stone grass and trees, with the aim that the path would eventually become concealed, blending into the reborn nature. All these changes were Zares'' efforts to heal the village''s wounds and honor those who had passed. "It''s been a month, dear. We''re here. I''m so happy to spend this time with you," said Kandita with a bright smile. "Emmm... Yes, we''re married now. Wherever I go, I want you to stay by my side," Zares said to Kandita. One day, Kandita was tending to a tree that was beginning to wilt, far from Zares'' house. As she immersed herself in her work, the surrounding atmosphere suddenly grew still. The wind ceased, and the air turned colder. Suddenly, thick fog began to slowly emerge from the forest, enveloping the ground around Kandita. With a gentle motion, the fog parted, revealing the figure of a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair. The woman walked slowly toward Kandita, her face calm and serene. Kandita stood still for a moment, feeling an aura that was unlike any she had felt before. The woman stopped a few steps away from her, gazing at her with eyes full of wisdom. "I am the guardian spirit of the Eastern Blora Forest," she said in a soft yet clear voice, as if the voice merged with the wind around them. "I came to see who planted these trees, which will become markers of life in the village that has been destroyed." Kandita lowered her head, feeling both honored and curious. "My husband and I only wish to honor those who have passed and preserve what remains. I planted these trees to remember them," Kandita replied. The guardian spirit smiled, her eyes showing pride. "You have a good heart. These trees will grow strong, and with them, the memories you cherish will be eternal." To be continued... Ch 022_The Eastern Goddess Zarres was hunting in the forest, hoping to find a deer or any other edible animal. Suddenly, on his journey, he sensed an immensely strong presence near Kandhita. Zarres had implanted his mystical energy into Kandhita''s body, allowing him to sense her presence anywhere, no matter the distance, as long as the implanted mystical energy remained intact. With focus, Nazzares prepared to teleport to Kandhita¡¯s position. This technique was inspired by his master, who could swap positions with his sword. However, its application was slightly different from Nazzares¡¯ technique, which required implanting mystical energy into a target, whether living or non-living. "Wait, my wife. I''m coming to you soon." Meanwhile, Kandhita was in conversation with the goddess, who was about to bestow her a gift. "Alright, by the will of the heavens, I shall grant you a gi¡ª" Before the goddess could finish her sentence, Zarres suddenly teleported and launched a raw kick directly at her face. "Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh!" The goddess screamed in shock as Zarres'' foot landed squarely on her beautiful face, leaving a clear imprint. "Take this, you old hag! Hiiiaaaattt!" BAMM!! PLAKK!! The goddess immediately fainted on the spot. "You IDIOT" Kandhita screamed with wide eyes, shocked to see the goddess unconscious before her. PLAKK PLAAKK BAAM BLAMM "Aaaaaaaaaaaa..." Nazzares cried out. Moments later... With heavy eyelids, the goddess slowly opened her eyes, her head still spinning from Zarres¡¯ powerful kick. "Where am I? What happened?" she murmured in confusion as she tried to get up. Once she regained full awareness, the goddess shot a sharp glare at Nazzares, her face still bearing the imprint of his foot. "So, why did you attack me?" she asked, sitting with her legs crossed and arms folded across her chest. "Mmm... Mmmmm... Mmmm... I sincerely apologize, Goddess! I didn¡¯t know you were the divine one¡ªI thought you were a Raksha... Hehehe," Zarres chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his head while his bruised face bore the marks of his wife¡¯s punches. "Yes, Goddess... Please forgive my husband''s foolishness," Kandhita pleaded softly. However, her eyes carried a terrifying glare directed at Nazzares, making him shiver in fear. "Tch... Humans are all idiots," the goddess scoffed. "You''re right, Goddess. Humans are indeed foolish... But you look incredibly beautiful, Goddess," Zarres replied, admiring her beauty despite the footprint still visible on her face. "Silence, you fool!" his wife snapped at him. Immediately, Zarres shielded his head with both hands. "Owww owww... Alright, alright! I surrender!" Zarres whimpered in a small voice, trembling.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. "My apologies, Goddess. What were you about to say in our last conversation? Before this nuisance interrupted us?" Kandhita asked gently. "Haahhh... Very well, let¡¯s just forget about that incident. I have forgiven your husband," the goddess sighed. "Hahahahaha, that¡¯s great, Godde¡ªOof!" GLUKK..!! Kandhita¡¯s elbow struck Nazzares'' stomach, silencing him with a deadly glare. Terrified, Zarres scurried to a corner of the room, sitting there in contemplation. "Hehe... Please continue, Goddess," Kandhita said politely. "Very well, let''s go outside," the goddess instructed. Once outside, the goddess stretched out both arms, her body levitating as a green aura radiated from her, exuding a warm and serene mystical pressure. Suddenly, the energy expanded, marking all the trees and plants that Kandhita and Nazzares had planted. Instantly, the trees, plants, and grass flourished, growing lush and beautiful in a slow, mesmerizing transformation. SSSHT KREKK KREKK As the process concluded, from the direction of the trees, Abail''s silhouette appeared, smiling. He was followed by Kandhita¡¯s father, Mujiono, who was also smiling. Then, one by one, Kandhita and Nazzares¡¯ friends emerged, along with the villagers who had fallen victim to the incident two months ago. Zarres could no longer hold back his tears upon seeing his father again, overwhelmed with longing. Kandhita, too, was deeply moved and smiled as she saw the people she once knew now at peace in the eternal realm. "Alright... The will of the heavens has been fulfilled. However, I have a message for both of you," the goddess said, ready to deliver her words to Kandhita and Zarres. "What is it, Goddess? I am honored that a mere woman like myself receives a message from the will of the heavens," Kandhita replied humbly. "Kandhita, be patient, for you have a foolish Fatalis husband. However, he is the only one capable of shouldering your destiny." "Nazzares, the Fatalis..." Their eyes met. ZzzZZtt Nazzares, brimming with pride, raised both his eyebrows in anticipation. He was ready to hear the divine words from the goddess of the heavens. "Study diligently..." The goddess spoke¡ªthen left just like that, vanishing into the green mist. "OOOOIIIIII... What the hell was that?!" Zarres exclaimed, bewildered by the brief message. However, beside him, Kandhita glared menacingly at him. "...Very well, Goddess. I will study with all my heart," Zarres corrected himself, replying in a much more obedient tone. The goddess departed, returning through the same path she had arrived from. "I don¡¯t understand... Why did his attack affect me? After all, I am merely a spirit," the goddess pondered as she made her way back to her realm. --- Nightfall at Zarres¡¯ Home in the Heart of the Forest... Kandhita was soaking in the hot spring bath, a bathing area that Zarres had built, inspired by the designs of inns in the city of Serabi. She pondered over the words of the goddess. "I don¡¯t know... Maybe it¡¯s simply because he¡¯s my husband." Kandhita decided to accept the goddess¡¯s words as they were. After finishing her bath... "I just realized... On your back, you have a birthmark (mole)," Zarres remarked as he noticed Kandhita¡¯s back before she had the chance to put on her clothes. "Huh...? You don¡¯t like it?" his wife asked. "Haaa... Of course, I like it. Yaww yaww, rawwww..." Zarres teased, tickling his wife playfully. "Ahhh, that tickles... stop it! Hahahahaha!" Kandhita laughed and squirmed, her body shaking with movement. The night passed with Zarres and Kandhita playing hide and seek until they were exhausted and fell asleep. --- At the Gathering of the Kings A tense atmosphere loomed over the kings of the Nuswantorra alliance.
