《Secret of the Fog》 World in chaos Fog is a natural phenomenon. Sometimes it is soft and ethereal, other times dense and oppressive. Fog can generate a haunting atmosphere that compels one to pause and explore the enigmas it conceals... ..... The world is in chaos. An unknown fog spreads out into the world. An eerie creature, an ethereal sound, and an unknown item emerge from the fog. People immediately are in fear, panic, and disorder. An eerie creature looks very scary, it''s indescribable. It has a twisted body, sharp fangs, and hundreds of eyes on its head and body. Some walk on two feet, and some crawl. They spit out foul-smelling gas and attack those nearby. An ethereal sound very beautiful, it''s incredible. This rhythm, melody, and tone are flawless. But everyone who heard those sounds was stunned and immediately started attacking others. Under beautiful music is a bloody fight. An unknown item was a sphere, it''s tiny. This tiny sphere is entirely blue, with flowing binary code on it, on the top is a countdown of five seconds. "beep", "beep", "beep", "beep", "beep", when its countdown to zero, it cast a huge explosion. ..... The news is playing on a huge TV. The news reporter was a golden brown hair beauty, but her eyes filled with fear, concern, and worry. The bad news from her mouth came out in a desperate tone. "The eerie creature is killing everyone nearby! If you see it anywhere you should have to hide or run away as fast as possible! The military troops have been sent there!" The news screen on the TV switches to another place. The camera is on the ground and shows a lot of blood on the walls of many buildings. The ethereal sound came out, it seemed this was where the bloody fight started. "Ahhh...!" A scream sounded and was gone but with the sound of a thing falling to the ground. That might be the person who screamed and died, however, the camera is on the ground so nobody sees what happened. The news screen on the TV switches to another place again. On the street, many people circle a tiny blue ball. Everybody was confused about what this was, and they heard the "beep", then when they saw carefully, they saw the countdown of five. "beep", "beep" "Wait...run!!" Somebody finally realized what was that but it was too late. It exploded, and the camera immediately cut off. After a few seconds, a picture appeared, it was that place but everything was gone only the land, the diameter of the range of the explosion was one kilometer. ..... In a mall. There are no people but two young men. Why is nobody at the mall, because everybody has gone to the shelter already. The power of the mall was completely cut off. There is no light inside but now it''s afternoon not nighttime so it''s not too dark here, there is still a dim light coming in from the glass door entrance and exit. "What the hell happened in this goddamn world!" A man shouted. It was a young man, with a charming appearance, light brown skin, and brown hair. He is Jonas but now he is mad because they are in the same place where the eerie creature came out. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. "Jonas! You better not shout! If that monster heard us we are going to hell!" Falkmar said in a low voice and he was covering the mouth of Mark. Falkmar compared Jonas looks a little darker skin but not obviously, with black hair and his appearance is sunny. "Hmph! I will go to heaven not hell!" Jonas snorted and said in a low voice too. "....." Falkmar was speechless, and couldn''t help but roll his eyes. Right now, they are getting the resources from the mall. They get a large plastic bag from the supermarket inside the mall and then plunder many things, such as snacks, meat, and vegetables. Although the shelter is full of resources they still get the resource from the mall. Because they are not going to the shelter from the government but from Jonas'' shelter. "You know what? I think you''re crazy after I heard you were going to build an underground shelter, but now it seems your decision is correct," Falkmar said calmly, as he kept reaching for snacks on the shelves. "Ha... I''m just about to crack a joke but when my dad heard it, he started to plan and build it..." Jonas sighed and said the corner of his lips curved into a smirk as if for flaunting his wealth to Falkmar. Falkmar rolls his eyes as he hears what Jonas said. Is this the world of rich people? Falkmar asked in his mind. "By the way... You saw that news right? What do you think? Why there are so many unknown things going out from fog?" Janos asked. "I don''t know, but I guess maybe the fog connects with the other world?" Falkmar thought deeply then replied. He has read many novels that make him think of this. Jonas didn''t say anything more but looked at Falkmar for a moment. Falkmar''s thought is unreality but looks like this is the only answer. "Maybe..." Jonas said with a deep voice. Suddenly they heard a sharp big noise from far away. Falkmar and Jonas have no idea what sound is but what they are sure is this sharp big noise hurting their ears. Their face twisted into a painful expression and used their hand to cover their ears. "Ah! What the hell is that!" Jonas cries out in pain, and because of the sudden noise, he falls onto the tiles of the supermarket. "I don''t know! Who the hell plays this goddamn high-pitched noise! Ah!" Falkmar also falls onto the tiles, and the snacks, meat, and vegetables from the plastic bag fall heavily. The high-pitched noise plays a while and is gone. Flakmar and Jonas rose slowly, their head was a little hurt caused by the noise. "Finally... Who plays that noise? That might attract the monster." Falkmar said in a confused tone and he got the plastic bag that fell on the floor. "Fuck this shit! Agh!" Jonas scolded loudly. He also picks up his plastic bag that falls on the floor. "Alright... Stop scolding, maybe we should go back to the shelter now..." Falkmar said with worry on his expression and also his tone. "Fine... Let''s go back!" Jonas said gripped the plastic bag tightly and walked out of the mall with Ryan. When they left the mall, the sky was overcast with dark clouds, and a pile of rubbish scattered outside the street. The road is deserted, and some of the buildings have a lot of blood. This is where the fog brings the monster here. Walking on an empty street, there is only blood on the ground, many broken cars, and two young men walking. The buildings in the city look like they have been through war. The city has been ruined. Dust flies in the air and those bricks and tiles are scattered on the road. The city was covered by silence. Such a scene with a cloudy sky makes people feel depressed. Falkmar and Jonas, gulping hard were stunned for a moment by this even though they had seen this earlier already. Their pace was slow. Their expressions were sad. Their breath was heavy. They seem worried about something and mourn the dead in this city, the atmosphere here heavy like a mountain pressed onto their body. They turned one street corner after another. The sound in this silent city was only their footsteps. "Did everybody die...?" Falkmar asked weakly, his voice was trembling. "Probably, since there is no one but us." Jonas replied, his voice almost as low as a whisper. Falkmar and Jonas were very lucky. They realized something was wrong when they saw the fog news and saw a huge fog was coming. When the fog came, they heard the screaming and shouting. Because they are neighbor, Jonas quickly tells me and my parents to get into his underground shelter. The shelter had a luxurious and massive design but did not have too many resources. After all, it''s just built. They hide in the shelter and listen to the screaming from the people outside. All of them take a hard gulp as they hear their desperate scream. When the screaming stops, Falkmar and Jonas open the floor door. Then everything was ruined, everybody disappeared but many blood on the ground. Blood-red wolf In the deserted street, Falkmar and Jonas''s footsteps echo in their minds, and the cold wind blows on their bodies, making their minds feel colder. The silence shrouded the city but won''t last too long. "Do you... have any plan?" Jonas breaks this silence. "What plan?" Falkmar is confused by Jonas'' question. "The plan that about the future... Now the world is in chaos caused by goddamn fog." Jonas sighed and said. The atmosphere fell into silence again. It seemed there was no solution because of the many strange and deadly things or creatures in the fog. Whenever they come out it makes a disaster, if they don''t it means they are going to make a huge disaster. These desperate facts made them doubtful. They couldn''t help but think of a question and try to get the answer. "Can humans be against to unknown?" They feel a little bit confident, after all, human civilization was advanced, and guns, missiles, and even nukes could deal with those creatures. "Then how about if there is something that can against the nuke or the ethereal sound that makes everybody lose their sanity?" Soon, another question flooded their minds. After that, many desperate questions flooded their minds one after another. "Hope the god will help us..." Falkmar sighs helplessly. The gray sky was covered with dark clouds, revealing no trace of the sun. Falkmar and Jonas walk together and head to their shelter, which is full of hope and warmth. "Woah..." Falkmar and Jonas exclaimed suddenly. A sudden bloody scene appears in front of them after they turn a corner. It was a severed arm lying in the blood, its bone with the stench of blood exposed outside. The muscle was thick seems from a man. They are stunned, their expressions stiff, frozen by the scene before them. "Why there is a broken arm...?" Jonas took a hard gulp and asked with a voice trembling. "I don''t know! Let''s just ignore it and quickly go back to our shelter!" Falkmar immediately makes the decision. Falkmar immediately walks around the broken arm and Jonas quickly follows closely to him. As they realized the shelter was still far away from them, their pace quickened. Beepһ! Beepһ! A loud horn sounded behind Falkmar and Jonas. Their eyes widened with surprise as they looked back. They saw a convoy behind them, six gray Humvees drove towards them. "Military convoy?!" Falkmar couldn''t help but shout. As the first gray Humvee flashes the light to them, Falkmar and Jonas stand aside on the road subconsciously and wait for them. The first Humvee passed through the road and the second, the third, fourth, fifth... Until the sixth, it''s stopped. A dusty gray Humvee appears old, with an open top and a soldier holding a machine gun, three soldiers inside the Humvee, one to drive, one sitting beside the driver, and one sitting on the back. The soldier with the gray helmet, mask, eyeglasses, and armor. Soldier''s suit will have the same color as the location, which acts like a protective color and is easy to hide. The soldier who holding the machine gun on the top of the Humvee stared at the severed arm and then shifted his gaze to Falkmar and Jonas. He scratches his head, and the black eyeglasses make Falkmar and Jonas not able to see his eyes, but they can guess his eyes must filled with confusion, worry, and alert. "Ugh... Sir, we don''t know anything about this severed arm." Jonas tries to explain. "We just turned a corner then see that." Falkmar added. "Ah, I see..." The machine gunner talked, his voice was deep. At this moment, the window at the front seat is descending. The soldier poked his head out from the car window and asked. "Hey! How do you guys survive from the big wolf?" "The wolf? What wolf?" Falkmar didn''t answer but asked a question. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it The soldier who poked his head out has exchanged glances with other soldiers. He retracted his head inside and seemed to be talking about something with others. "The wolf that ruined this city! Where are you guys at while the wolf is massacring?" He poked his head out once again. "A-at our shelter...! I have an underground shelter." Jonas answered him. "You have an underground shelter?!" All the soldiers exclaimed. "Whatever, you two better hide. We''re here to kill the wolf, we will report that there is a survivor in this city. The rescue will come soon." The machine gunner said to Falkmar and Jonas. "Hey! They are leaving! We spent too much time, you two hide now! Don''t let the wolf notice about you two." The soldier who driving the Humvee shouted. Once the driver shouted to Falkmar and Jonas, he didn''t wait for their response and stomped on the accelerator hard. The Humvee sped toward the convoy like a wild horse. The dust flies behind the Humvee to Falkmar and Jonas'' eyes, making them close their eyes instinctively. When they open their eyes the convoy disappears in their sight by turning a corner. Falkmar and Jonas cough slightly. "Alright... Are we going to hide?" Falkmar asks Jonas. Jonas didn''t answer; he stared in the direction the convoy was going. Falkmar turned his head back when he didn''t get a response from Jonas and noticed Jonas was standing, gawking. "Jonas?" Falkmar softly called his name. "Falkmar... the direction they go is the direction of underground shelter..." Jonas was stunned for a moment and said. "What?!" Falkmar exclaimed. As Falkmar stared at the direction of convoy was going. At the moment that he is sure that the convoy is heading in the direction of the shelter he starts running, and releases the plastic bag from his hand. "Hey! Wait for me!" Jonas shouted as he saw Falkmar running. Jonas quickens his pace to catch up with Falkmar. They ran... and ran... and kept running... the surge of adrenaline had spread to their whole body, right now, they are tireless. "Ahh! Fuck!" Jonas shouted powerfully and felt a surge of power, it made him catch up with Falkmar. This has proven that shouting some words is useful, in some cases, shouting it will make you gain more power. But the words that Jonas shouts are not elegant and immoral. Ahhһ! A sudden piercing shriek travels through the air and pours into their ears again. They are sure it is the same sound that they heard in the market. The piercing sound seemed to penetrate their eardrum. Falkmar and Jonas stopped and kneeled as they heard this sound again. They lie on the ground in pain and cover their ears. "Not again!" Falkmar shouted out of pain. "Are those soldiers making that kind of sound?!" Jonas asked loudly in sorrow. "How can they make that sound?!" Falkmar answered Jonas. The piercing shriek didn''t leave long, it lasted for a few seconds and was gone. Falkmar and Jonas rose weakly and felt their head dizzy. "Well... At least our eardrum is safe..." Falkmar gives a wry smile. "Ha... Thatһ" Jonas'' discourse hasn''t finished yet and is cut off by a huge sound. Bong! A huge fog that swallowed the horizon appears afar from the city. The fog rolled in like a vast, silken tsunami, an undulating wall of gray that swallowed the landscape whole. This scene is quite spectacular, making their legs even tremble a little bit. The most terrible part is there was a giant humanoid shadow inside the fog that seemed walking towards this city. The vast land trembling under its step, this time, their whole body trembling. "The fu-" Falkmar and Jonas said at the same time. Beepһ! Beepһ! The familiar horn sounded, pulling Falkmar and Jonas out of their petrified state. After pulling out from stunned, they look at the direction of the source of the sound. Another surge of surprise washed over their minds. A gray Humvee chasing a blood-red wolf, the size of the wolf might be two adults high, it has two heads, eight feet, a tentacle tail without any skin nor fur covering but a tail at the end. Falkmar and Jonas were stunned again as they saw this view. The soldier held the machine gun to shoot at the blood-red wolf. tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat... The wolf shouted in pain as the bullet shot into its body, it seemed the fur of the wolf was not red but dyed with blood. Right now, they are rushing toward Falkmar and Jonas. The machine gunner who shooting the wolf shouted at them with anxiety. "Get out of there!!!" Falkmar finally realized the situation right now, he quickly grabbed Jonas'' hand and ran to the nearest building. Jonas got caught hand by Falkmar and ran, almost making him fall to the ground. "Quick! Run inside the building!" Falkmar said anxiously. "Release my hand! Falk! You almost make me fall!" Jonas runs with him in the same direction. Falkmar''s decision was correct because would they die if the wolf attacked them. Run to the building is the best choice, after all, the building can protect them and the wolf is not able to get in. Four black-red eyes of the wolf gleamed with cunning light as it saw Falkmar and Jonas running to the building. The wolf immediately sped up, but still can''t reach them before they get in. "Ha... Ha... Ha... We''re safe now... Right?" Jonas kneeling on the floor with hands on the ground and panting heavily. "Maybe..." Falkmar answered with an unsure tone and also panting. Once they got in the building, the wolf didn''t stop but rushed to them. The gray Humvee chased the wolf closely and shooting. But the sudden act of the wolf changes the situation. It jumps to the wall, after the eight feet touches the wall it proceeds a powerful kick on the wall to make him jump again. The wolf landed behind the gray Humvee, the wolf did a backflip! "What the fu-!" The machine gunner didn''t finish his discourse, and when he turned back, the wolf opened its bloody mouth and bit off him, that poor gunner got cut off in half. After swallowing its prey, the wolf quickly bites the back of the Humvee. The soldier sitting in the back seat is crushed by the vehicle. The wolf raised the gray Humvee and tilted, the driver fell off. The other head of the wolf didn''t give him a chance to get his gun, the head opened its mouth and tore the driver into pieces. The last soldier who sat beside the soldier poked his head out and shot at the wolf. Sadly it didn''t work well, as the wolf got shot by a bullet it quickly threw the gray Humvee aside. The gray Humvee hit a wall and crushed the head of the last soldier. Falkmar and Jonas take a desperate gulp as they see the blood-red wolf kill them easily. The blood-red wolf walked towards them, its four black-red eyes gleaming with murderous. Falkmar and Jonas were sure of one thing. "If we don''t find out the solution, we''re fucked." Killed the wolf Falkmar and Janos caught a metallic scent in the air, recognizing it as the smell of blood. The pungent odor caused them to frown involuntarily. The smell didn''t matter too much because the biggest problem now was how to kill or escape from this big weird wolf. Right now, the wolf was baring its teeth and staring at them. The big wolf didn''t give them much time. It started walking toward them slowly. As they saw the big wolf coming, their legs trembled, their hearts pounded, and their brains worked quickly trying to plan something. "Falkmar, I''ll try to lure that wolf, then you go take the gun from those soldiers!" Janos rose and said in a low voice. "Are you crazy?! How do you lure that wolf? It just needs to lunge toward you, then you''re done! You can''t even react to it!" Falkmar said. He didn''t want Mark to risk his life. "Come on! We have no time!" Janos said anxiously. They didn''t have much time left; the wolf was already near. "Dang it!" Falkmar gritted his teeth. He didn''t have time to think, so he could only accept Mark''s plan. "I will run to the left side because there''s a building to cover me. You go to the back of the store; there''s a hole in the wall. After that, you go take the gun." Janos said, keeping his tone steady to ensure Falkmar could hear it. "If I die or I''m gonna die, then run. Run to the shelter. Please take care of my parents if it happens." Janos added and looked firmly at Falkmar. "Jonas... you won''t die..." Falkmar''s eyes filled with tears. "I hope so..." Jonas smiled weakly and glanced at the wolf. "Quick! Go now!" Janos pushed Falkmar and ran quickly to the left side. When Falkmar got pushed by Mark and saw him run to the left-side building, it felt like the starting gun had fired. Falkmar knew the plan had started. His heart pounded in his chest, and every fiber of his being screamed at him to run fast and reduce Mark''s risk as much as possible. Now, Janos was on the second floor of the left-side building. He moved quickly and shouted to attract the wolf''s attention. Janos successfully attracted the wolf''s attention, and it quickly ran to the left-side building to try to catch him. However, because of its size, the wolf couldn''t enter the building but could easily reach the second floor. It used its claws and swung at Janos. Janos'' eyes widened as he saw the big claw coming. He quickly ran toward the back of a pillar, but before he could make it, the claw reached him. With one swing, the claw tore the clothes off Janos'' back, leaving a scratch, but fortunately, the wound wasn''t deep, though it was bleeding. Janos suddenly felt a chill on his back, and after a few seconds, that chill turned into severe pain. "Aaahhh!!" Janos cried out in pain, his heart racing inside his chest and his whole body trembling. Falkmar felt chills run down his spine as he heard Janos'' desperate scream. Right now, he was running toward the soldier who had been cut in half by the wolf. Upon reaching the soldier, Falkmar quickly unequipped the gun sling and strapped it on himself. It was an HK416, an assault rifle. Falkmar not only got a gun but also a grenade. At that moment, Falkmar noticed the broken gray Humvee leaking oil. He was stunned for a moment, then smiled. He quickly glanced around the environment, then looked at the big wolf with a gleam in his eyes, it seemed he had come up with a plan.Stolen novel; please report. Meanwhile, things weren''t going well for Janos. The big wolf was now using its tentacle-like tail to attack. Janos had new wounds from the tail, and it was grabbing things to throw at him. "Ahh!" Janos screamed again as he was hit by a piece of debris thrown by the tail. His head and body were bleeding, and he felt the bone in his right leg break. He collapsed to the floor, feeling his fate creeping closer. With his eyes closed, he shouted desperately. "Falkmar! I''m gonna die today! Ru-" ..... Bang! Bang! Bang! The loud gunfire and the wolf''s painful whimper reached Mark''s ears. The sudden sound made Mark open his eyes. His vision blurred with tears as he saw a man in gray clothes kneeling on one knee at a distance, shooting at the big wolf. "Falk!" Janos shouted in his mind. Falkmar was at a building near the gray Humvee, which had been thrown by the big wolf. He was shooting at the beast. "Come here! You little shit!" Falkmar shouted at the wolf and shot again. Bang! Bang! Bang! The wolf was hit once more and let out a pained howl. Its blood-stained fur was turning a deeper red. Its eyes gleamed with murderous intent and hatred. But it didn''t just stand there and let Falkmar keep shooting. It quickly used its heavily injured body to move. The blood-red wolf ran at high speed toward Falkmar. When Falkmar saw it coming, he didn''t panic but remained calm, continuing to shoot. The HK416 had two firing modes: semi-automatic and automatic. Falkmar was using automatic mode, but since he didn''t know how to shoot properly, he purposely only fired three bullets at a time. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Unfortunately, the wolf wasn''t stupid. Instead of running in a straight line, it ran in a curved pattern, making it impossible for Falkmar, who wasn''t skilled in shooting, to land a hit. "Dang it!" Falkmar cursed. He looked at the blood-red wolf getting closer and closer, gritted his teeth, and pulled the trigger to empty the magazine. When the magazine was empty, Falkmar was undeterred by his complete failure to hit the wolf, but his eye flashed with a cunning gleam. Falkmar took out a DM51 grenade from his pocket. He quietly watched the big blood-red wolf approaching, then took the opportunity to pull the safety of the grenade and threw it at the damaged Humvee. The grenade fell into the damaged fuel tank coincidentally. Seeing this, Falkmar grinned evilly, and with the countdown in mind, he knew the delay of the DM51 was about 5 seconds. "Five!" "Four!" "Three!" "Two!" "One!" Falkmar''s grin became even wider. At this moment, he didn''t care about anything. He ignored the big wolf that had jumped into the air and was about to pounce on him or Jonas''s desperate scream in the distance. Right now, Falkmar prayed in his heart that his idea would come true. Time seemed to slow down, and Falkmar''s heart was beating wildly. There are two possibilities after one second, one is that Falkmar''s plan is not realized and he dies, and the second is that Falkmar''s plan is realized and the big blood-red wolf is killed. Falkmar gazed at the damaged fuel tank and noticed an orange light emanating from it, prompting a victorious grin. "I won!" "Boom!" The fire in the fuel tank burst out, and a shock wave that was neither strong nor weak rushed around with dust, it made Falkmar and Jonas close their eyes. The Humvee explodes, sending pieces flying. Falkmar''s plan worked! The wolf in the sky was unable to kill Falkmar because the shock wave flew to the wall next to it. After its two heads hit the wall, its mangled body fell heavily to the ground. After a few seconds, the dust fell onto the ground. Once they opened their eyes they saw a fire burning on the gray Humvee and a big blood-red wolf laying aside. Its blood erupts out of its body. Many fragments of humvee on its body, and the wounds look shocking. One of its heads is already cut off, and another head whimper in a low voice. Eight legs before but right now have only three legs. The tail is still there but the belly is broken and internal organs exposed. "I-I-I... I Did it! Hahahaha! Jonas! I did it!" Falkmar cried in ecstasy. His heart is beating wildly in his chest and his body is shaking. His eyes were wide open as if he couldn''t believe he had done it. "Hahaha! Falk! You''re the best! Hahaha! You killed that little shit!" Jonas does the same as Falkmar. He rose slowly to go out and ignored the pain in his back. "-Ah!" A sudden sound broke their happiness. That was a piercing shriek, their eye widened and covered their ears. "Dang it! The high-pitched noise is from this goddamn wolf!" Falk shouted. "How can the wolf still shout?!" Jonas asked. It''s just last for a few seconds and gone. When they go down and get out of the building they walk toward the wolf. The wolf closed its eyes and didn''t move; it seemed as if it had completely died. The smell of gasoline and the smell of blood are in the air. The sun started to fall and the light began to turn orange. Falkmar and Jonas suddenly sat down on the ground, as if they had lost all their strength. They exchange glances and grin widely. This is their victory. Collapse At this moment, their adrenaline fades away, the air mixed with the stench of blood and gasoline. They sat on the ground and stared at the wolf''s mangled body blankly. "Finally...Oh, by the way, you made a nice boom." Jonas said, his voice exhausted. "Haha...Thanks for the compliment." Falkmar said with a wry smile. Dong...Dong...Dong... A loud, deep sound travels through the air to their ears. Their eyes widened and filled with dread as the giant humanoid shadow in the huge fog that covered the horizon drew near, every step making the land tremble. Now the fog has crept into the city, shrouding the ruined buildings. Falkmar and Jonas were far from the huge fog, but its incredible speed was alarming. "Run!" Falkmar shouted, his voice filled with fear. He rose anxiously quickly pulled up Jonas and ran. As their adrenaline surged, their exhaustion faded, and their pace quickened. They turn a corner and run in a direction, it was the direction of the underground shelter. Right now, the run race has started. "The speed of that fog is too fast!"Jonas shouted desperately, but his pace didn''t slow down. "It''s far from us! And our shelter is near to us! Keep it up!" Falkmar shouted to encourage Jonas. They run and jump off the obstacle on the road. Feeling their lungs burning and legs arching, they determined to reach the shelter before the huge fog engulfed them. Time passed little by little, and the fog got closer and closer to them. The giant humanoid shadow is like the one who controls the fog because the fog keeps following him. Dong...Dong...Dong... The giant humanoid shadow takes a few steps forward, pauses, then repeats the pattern. If they watch from the side, they will see many tentacle-like shadows and hand shadows pulling the giant shadow to stop. Far away in the city, the giant shadow leaves its huge footprints wherever it passes. Its footprint is like a human''s foot but with twelve toes. Falkmar and Jonas sprint down a ruined street, their hair flying and sweat streaming down their forehead. "It''s near! It''s near!" Falkmar shouted in mind. "Finally almost there!" Jonas shouted in mind too. They were afraid to shout it out, fearing a lack of oxygen. They had already been running for a long time, and their adrenaline was starting to fade. But now the fog was right behind them, engulfing everything relentlessly, moving incredibly fast, and starting to reach their feet. When the fog touched their feet, they felt a cold feeling spread from the soles of their feet to their whole bodies. Their hearts were shaken as if they discovered that the fog had touched them under their feet. "Oh shit!" Jonas scolded in his mind and his eyes widened as he saw at his feet. With that, he immediately speeds up. Jonas was running behind Falkmar so he was the first one who was touched by the fog. And the fog gives him the motivation to speed up and overtake Falkmar. "What the?!" Falkmar eyes widened as he saw Jonas overtake him, in his opinion, this was not possible. Jonas'' stamina is always worse than Falkmar''s from elementary school to college.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. An abnormal sight made Falkmar look back. When he looked back and saw that the huge and heavy fog was already a few feet away, his face changed from confusion to fear. "Fuck you!! Jonas!!!" Falkmar shouted out of fear. "Why scold at me?!" Jonas shouted in grievance. "No why!! Just wanted to fuck you!!" Falkmar shouted and immediately sped up. The fog behind them makes them feel like a grim reaper behind them. They wanted to get rid of it but the adrenaline was completely gone and the distance between Falkmar, Jonas, and shelter was just a few hundred steps more. "Keep it up! I see our house now!" Falkmar shouted to Jonas. Jonas didn''t respond to Falkma. His vision started to blur, and he felt dizzy. The long run had already drained his energy, and he wouldn''t last much longer before fainting. Falkmar noticed something was off and turned back, realizing Jonas was lagging and looked unwell. Just when Falkmar slowed down his pace to wait for Jonas to catch up...Jonas fainted. "Jonas!" Falkmar quickly ran to him and caught him. His clothes are soaked with blood and sweat, his breathing is weak, and his face looks pale. A wave of worry arose in Falkmar''s heart. After he catches Jonas and carries on the back, he runs to their shelter. However, Falkmar''s act made the fog more closer to them. Now the fog touched Falkmar''s feet again and almost engulfed Jonas. Falkmar''s heart racing in his chest and his legs couldn''t help but tremble because of tiredness and the weight on his back. As he stepped into the forecourt of Jonas'' luxury villa he felt a surge of ecstasy. But fog followed closely. Jonas'' villa has a second floor with a swimming pool and a garden. Before it was beautiful, luxury but now it''s ruined. The villa has collapsed, the water of the swimming pool has gone, and the flowers inside the garden are withered. Falkmar saw this view and didn''t stop but ran inside the collapsed villa because the shelter was inside there. The door to the shelter was concealed beneath a carpet at the entrance of the villa. Falkmar, carrying Jonas, quickly runs to the carpet, but his eyes widen with desperation and sadness upon seeing the carpet is gone and the shelter door is open. "What...?" Falkmar''s eyes filled with surprise and his voice trembled as he spoke. "Dad! Mom! Are guys there?" Falkmar shouted. The light in the shelter seems off or broken so it''s entirely dark. A few seconds passed, and Falkmar didn''t receive any response. The fog stopped right at the villa''s forecourt as if also waiting for a reply from Falkmar''s parents or Jonas'' parents. "Mr. Jeckrew? Mrs. Mila? Are you there?" Falkmar did not give up and shouted again, this time it was the parents of Jonas. A few seconds passed again. Falkmar wanted to go down and check, but his reason warned him not to. His dread built inside his mind as he stared into the dark. Bong! A sudden sound scared Falkmar. The sound was a stomp from the giant shadow that was inside the fog it seemed the shadow was mad. This stomp causes the hand and tentacle on its back to vanish, while also accelerating the movement of the fog. The fog suddenly moves towards Falkmar, leaving him no choice. He anxiously considers whether to step into the fog or descend into the dark shelter. Just as Falkmar is about to carry Jonas down into the dark shelter using the ladder, a sudden exhale carrying the stench of blood wafts from the entrance of the shelter. "Huh...?" Falkmar stunned and smelled the stench of blood from the exhale. His hand that was going carry Jonas was frozen by this. "Who''s down there?!" Falkmar whispered, his voice heavy with fear. He carried Jonas and walked backward subconsciously. Because of Falkmar''s act, the fog behind them engulfed Falkmar and Jonas. Falkmar''s eyes filled with desperation as the fog engulfed them, he didn''t know if their parents were still alive or not. After they were engulfed by the fog, not only was the grass on the forecourt gone but also the ruined villa gone. Falkmar knows it''s not because the fog is too thick it''s because the fog transfers them to another space now. Just when Falkmar saw the blood-red wolf, it further confirmed his idea that the fog is connected with other worlds. After all, there is no creature like that in the earth. Now the space where they stand is entirely white. It seems boundless and nobody here but Falkmar and Jonas. Falkmar suddenly sat down as if lost all the power he had. Killing the blood-red wolf and a long time of running already make him exhausted. "Ahh...!!!" At this moment, Falkmar cried, tears began to fall from his eyes and also blur his sight. Falkmar slammed his fist into the ground, not stopping until blood appeared. He doesn''t know if their parents are alive or not, seeing fainted Jonas lying beside him and this boundless white space, Falkmar''s eyes filled with tears and desperation. Right now, he is helpless. He didn''t know what he should do and sat on the ground with his hands covered face. "Ahh!!!" Falkmar shouted until his voice hoarse. "What the hell happened to this shit world!!!" "Everything is the best arrangement? Fuck your asshole arrangement!!!" "Why! Why!! Why!!!" Falkmar shouted angrily, venting all his feelings of fear, helplessness, and madness in this space. He hates, he fears, he despairs, and losing all motivation to live. "Jonas...I''m sorry..." Falkmar said in a low voice, he used his hands to cover his face and cried. A young man''s mind collapsed. The weight on his back was like a mountain pressing down on him. He sat on the ground and cried for a long time. Voids gaze After a long time of crying, Falkmar rose. He calms down and seems to determine something. His eyes are filled with the desire to survive and he carries Jonas on his back and starts to walk in a direction. Falkmar examined Jonas'' wound and found that it had stopped bleeding. After that Falkmar carried him on the back and started his long journey again. "Alright, Jonas... I won''t leave you here!" Falkmar said with a steady and hoarse voice. Falkmar glanced around this space after finishing checking Jonas'' wound. It was entirely white and boundless just like the universe and couldn''t see any exit. This makes Falkmar confused about how creatures, sounds, and things go to other worlds. Right now, he doesn''t know where should he go, he is just walking forward without any purpose or reason. Just like this, he carries Jonas and walks for a long time. "Agh... Jonas, you''re heavy..." Falkmar complains softly. Falkmar stopped and sat down again to take a rest, placing Jonas down beside him. Right now, he needs to restore his energy. Now Falkmar can''t think of any solution and is very helpless but the desire to survive kept him from falling here, and besides, he couldn''t leave Jonas behind. When Falkmar looked at Jonas he felt something weird, an indescribable strange feeling on his mind. This strange feeling lingered and remained in his mind. Falkmar didn''t overthink and was shocked by the next view he saw. His bloody hand is healing, the wound is recovering and blood is returning inside. "What the?" Falkmar''s voice with surprised and realizes something. At this moment, Falkmar looks at Jonas'' wound with joy. As expected, the wounds on his back are healing. "This space can recover the wounds!" Falkmar said in his mind happily. He quickly crawled over to Jonas, checked his breathing, and found it no longer weak. Realizing this, Falkmar was happy and knew that Jonas was out of danger. "Alright, now the only problem is get out of here." Falkmar said happily, as it seemed he had hope filled in his eyes. After that is a long time of walking again. The strange feeling hasn''t gone it makes Falkmar more confused about this feeling. "Looks like I forgot something?" Falkmar''s voice with unsure but soon he got the answer from an unknown being. "Yes, you forgetting it." A strange voice sounded in this boundless space with weird echoes. "Who is it?!" Falkmar''s eyes widened and shouted. Falkmar quickly glanced around but didn''t see anyone; he also couldn''t determine where the sound came from, as it seemed to come from everywhere. The strange voice makes his head hurt and he feels nauseous. "A very lucky person... Oh my bad, it''s two. Well, I see you and his potential. Mortal, I permit you to ask me three questions." The disembodied voice sounded from everywhere. "Three questions...?" Falkmar endured the hurt and nausea and said in mind. Many questions flood his mind. Falkmar quickly realizes that this might be key to leaving the place.Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! "Who are you?" Void said with a majestic voice. "destination of all things? The death? And oblivion?Void...? What did it say on the last? A god?" After hearing those words and realizing this mysterious existence seems to be a god, Falkmar frowned and didn''t feel the holy but the intense pain with nausea. But soon Falkmar was stunned. "Ahh!!!" Falkmar suddenly cries out in pain. He drops down Jonas, kneels, and holds his head. Veins popped up on his forehead, and he felt like there were tens of thousands of worms burrowing inside his head, and the pain was excruciating. Just when Falkmar cries out in pain, Void bursts out a laugh and mocks. "Hahaha... what a fool dares to know the name of a deity." Void said with a teasing tone. The sharp laugh and merciless mock from Void made Falkmar''s mind head hurt even more, he felt his head was going to explode. From now on, Falkmar''s hatred of the Void has reached the peak. "Fuck you Void! You''re an asshole!!!" Falkmar scolded in mind and eyes filled with hatred. "Tiny mortal, The soul without ambition, ugly wastes, now two more questions to go." Void said without any emotion. "How to get out of this place!?" Falkmar shouted to ask. He doesn''t want to be here for a moment anymore. "I can give you an exit to go back to your original world, or you prefer to go to another world?" Void asked. "I want to go back to my original world!" Falkmar shouted and finally, the sense of pain in his head was gone. "Oh sorry, but I don''t want to let you choose. I''ll give an exit that connects with the other world. Hahahaha!!!" Void tricked him again and laughed maniacally. Upon hearing Void''s words, a wave of anger surged through his mind. If Jonas wasn''t here then Falkmar definitely would shout and scold Void because of no worries or concern. "Last one question, think carefully before you ask." Void said slowly. "...Where are you?" Falkmar gritted his teeth and said. This time, Void didn''t respond to Falkmar immediately; instead, it took a few seconds before answering. "Above you." Void said with a hint of excitement. Eventually, Falkmar didn''t look up. After all, hearing its voice and knowing its name almost broke him. He asks this question just to prevent that he suddenly glances at Void. "Where is the exit?" Falkmar said and rose. "Oh, wanted to leave already? Fine, the exit is in front of you. The most beautiful world ever... go enjoy it." Void said. Falkmar sneered doesn''t believe what Void said, but just when he turned back to carry Jonas and leave this place he was stunned again. Falkmar saw Jonas was no longer an adult but a child. Falkmar''s eyes widened filled with shock and look at his hand subconsciously and found out his hand was the hand of a child. "The exit is there. Go now or else you guys will become younger and eventually turn into void." Void''s voice with a teasing tone. As Falkmar heard Void''s discourse, his eyes widened and now he had finally found out what is that strange feeling, the strange feeling was that they were turning back to the child! Falkmar realized this space can''t recover the wounds but reversing the time! The dread built fast in Falkmar''s mind, he quickly grabbed Jonas'' arm and ran to the exit. But because of the power of Falkmar right now, he can''t carry Jonas on his back. The exit is in front of them, There is a path full of strange flowers. Those flowers look mysterious and beautiful and the fragrance of flowers wafts out. As he stepped onto the path covered in flowers, the intoxicating fragrance almost caused Falkmar to fall. Suddenly everything shattered like glass then they fell and the overwhelming sensation made him feel panic. The white space fades away leaving a boundless darkness. The darkness turns into a starry sky but Folkmar doesn''t appreciate it because the intense weightlessness of falling made him scream. His scream was brief before he fainted. Before he fainted, the sound he heard was only his scream and the sharp laughter from Void. ..... In the boundless white space, a giant white eye is floating in the air. It''s not obvious to see this white eye because it is too huge and the same color as this space. This is Void. The murderer who caused the world chaos. The white space and the fog are Void''s body. In normal cases, nobody will be here but for some reason, Falkmar and Jonas are here, so Void said they are lucky to be here. There are two figures below the white eye, it was the sculpture of Falkmar and Jonas. Void makes the sculpture, their size in front of Void like an ant, or even smaller. However, Void didn''t make it small purposely, that was their original size. If Falkmar looks up then he will see and know how big the Void is. Void''s eye gazed at the sculpture with an emotionless expression, as if examining a lifeless object. A cloud of fog forms two scenes that show where Falkmar and Jonas are. Void gaze joyfully. "The show has started... Let''s see how those two lucky men struggle in the flawless world." ..... A new world That night, many people saw two shiny meteors fall into the vast landscape. ..... A morning star rises as gentle sunlight brightens the vast landscape. In a huge forest, a sun ray shines on a young boy who lying and seems to be a six-year-old. As the gentle sun shone on his eyes he frowned, it made him open his eyes. "Agh...! Why does my body hurt so much...?" A childish voice sounded. As he sat up, he felt a surge of intense pain travel through his nerves to his whole body. He raises his head and looks up at the ray of sunlight. The ray of sunlight illuminate him. His face was adorable and with messy black hair and he wore the clothes and pants that were too big for him. "Where is here...?" His two big eyes filled with confusion as he spoke. "Agh...! My head..." A sudden pain in the head makes him rub his temple instinctive. "Falkmar? Oh yeah... that''s my name... and fog... Jonas... who''s that deity again...?" Every memory before he was at this strange place shattered like glass in Falkmar''s mind. "Wait! Where is Jonas!" Falkmar suddenly shouted as he realized Jonas wasn''t beside him. "And where the hell is this place!" As Falkmar spoke, he quickly glanced around this environment. As he used his pure eyes to glance at this forest, he felt a surge of confusion and curiosity. He saw many things that don''t exist on the earth in this forest. This forest is filled with weird black trees. The trees are black, long, and straight at least five stories high, and the deep verdant leaves spread on their top like an umbrella. These trees grow densely, the leaves cover the sky. Flowers covered the ground, and even the soil could not be seen. The fragrance of flowers wafted into Falkmar''s nose, making him feel comfortable mentally. Some flowers look beautiful and lush, while others look ugly and withered. "What a strange place... do these such flowers and trees exist on earth?" Falkmar stroked his chin and looked at the leaves as if thinking something. Suddenly a scene of memory flashed in Falkmar''s mind. It was when everything shattered when he stepped on the flowery path. After that, he falls, his cursing and Void''s laughter is the last scene he remembers. "Ahh is that little brat, it sent me here." Falkmar''s voice with a bit of anger. The laughter of Void lingered in Falkmar''s mind. He suddenly slammed a fist onto those flowers and the fist passed through those flowers and then hit the ground. After that, Falkmar rose but felt a strong feeling of itch and pain on his fist that slammed onto the ground. When he stared at his fist, he found out it turned red and swollen. "Poisonous?" This word immediately pops out in Falkmar''s mind. With that, Falkmar''s mind was flooded with a wave of fear. Now, he doesn''t dare to touch those flowers. The big pants and big shoes protect his feet so well that he doesn''t need to worry about the flowers touching him. Falkmar started to walk in a direction, he hoped there was a way out of this forest. "Hello? Is everybody there?" Falkmar shouted while walking. Nobody responds, this forest is enveloped in an eternal silence but many dim lights shine into this forest making the view incredible.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. The shout of Falkmar travels through the air to the far away, and the longer he walks the more obvious feeling of hunger and thirst he has. "Oh shit, Am I going to die here today...? No... I don''t want to die! I have many things I haven''t finished yet!" Falkmar said unwillingly in his mind. "And where the hell is Jonas?" He added in mind. Falkmar''s body, mind, and memory had a little bit of change because of the white space reversing time. His body becomes a six-year-old child and his mind still with a bit of maturity, as for his memory, it was blurred after he came into this world. And right now, Falkmar sees many trees but not the exit. He didn''t disappoint too much and just kept walking in a direction as if there was an exit. But the longer Falkmar walked the more desperate he is. It keeps for an hour and the forest becomes hot because of his clothes and pants and his hunger and thirst are more obvious. From the start, Falkmar didn''t see any creature inside this forest but the flowers grew bigger and higher, the flowers right now are the same height with Falkmar''s waist. "Am I going deeper...?" Falkmar glanced around those flowers and said with a worried tone. The height of the dense flowers was like a deep ocean that was going to suffocate Falkmar. Because of hunger and thirst, makes him look like he has no energy but right now, because of the height of those flowers, it makes his heart beat faster, and feels the energy floating inside him. But invisible things touch his cheeks while he is across between the trees. It was thin like silk when he reached out from the long sleeve and got the invisible things, he found out it was spider silk. "Spider?!" Falkmar shouted out of fear. The spider was the scariest thing in his mind. After realized it was the silk from the spider, his heart beat wildly in his chest, and couldn''t help but imagine the spider, he started to feel there was something crawling on his legs and back. This makes him want to change direction but maybe is because the mind of a six-year-old makes him persistent in moving in this direction. But soon, he regrets it. The flowers grow even higher and he touches many spider silk, which makes his dread build inside his mind. He felt something behind him when he was persistent in moving in this direction, he felt there was something behind him. He was sure it was not a psychological effect because he heard the sound from behind and was scared to look back. Right now, he stopped. In front of him were the flowers that could even reach his neck. On the back, there was something horrible. "Mama..." Falkmar whispered helplessly and wanted to cry. The forest is warm but his mind is cold. When Falkmar going to turn back, the atmosphere suddenly becomes tense at this moment. He slowly turns his head, his heart racing in his chest and every fiber of his being is screaming. He has already thought about it, if there is something big then he will run into the flowers. Falkmar''s head turns slowly, very slow as if there''s a hand that tries to stop him from turning back. As his head turns back, the scene in his sight is nothing but full of flowers on the ground and trees. But there was a weird point. The ground beside Falkmar has many rays of sunlight shining in, but in front of him has no light as if something is blocking it. "Is there something up there?" Falkmar whispered with a trembling voice. As Falkmar looked up he saw his deepest fear on the tree. A giant black spider. The spider had ten legs and six eyes. There were two large sky-blue circles on its black back, which looked like two big eyes staring at Falkmar. This spider is about two stories high. Right now, Falkmar was completely stunned and gawking. After a moment, his childish face showed an expression of extreme fear. His heart racing in his chest. He was frightened by this scene and fell to the ground. When Falkmar fell to the ground the big spider suddenly walked down. It walked slowly. When the big spider walked in front of him, he was so frightened that he even incontinent. Six eyes of the spider gazing at Falkmar. Falkmar did the same with the spider, gazing at the spider, its two big fangs and sharp feet beating. "Shit..." Falkmar scolded in a low voice. His mind races to generate many thoughts in an attempt to find a way out but all are impossible. Under the spider''s gaze, he felt his fate was obvious to know. He let out a sigh of resignation and unwillingly. "I dare you eat me! You little brute!" Falkmar rose and shouted to the spider. As the giant spider saw a little child suddenly rise and reach out a hand pointed at itself and shouted, it didn''t attack Falkmar but eyes filled with confusion. This spider even reaches out a foot and scratches its head. Falkmar was stunned for a moment as he saw its anthropomorphic actions. A question floated in his mind. "C-can you talk...?" Falkmar said it subconsciously. As the spider heard his discourse it stunned for a moment trying to understand what Falkmar said and suddenly used one foot and swung to those flowers, the flowers were cut off and left the soil exposed. Falkmar sees a spider use its foot and seems writing on the soil, trying to communicate with Falkmar. However, he can''t understand what the spider writes, the words seem to not exist on earth. White ruined palace Falkmar crouches on the ground and seeing the spider writing, his eyes gleamed with incredible light. Soon, Falkmar realized there was a unique language in this world, and it filled him with a sudden wave of tiredness. If he wanted to live in this world, learning their language is undoubtedly important and necessary. "So I''m going to learn their language to communicate?" Falkmar said with a resigned tone. Learning a language is quite a hard challenge. Requires a lot of time to learn lots of vocabulary and grammar to memorize and learn. A sudden wave of drowsiness washed over Falkmar''s mind. He doesn''t know what happened but feels that his body feels very light like my whole body floating. "Ugh... What happened...?" Falkmar holding his forehead instinctively. As Falkmar shifted his gaze downward, he noticed that his touch of the flowers and arm was rotting! He felt fear in his heart, watching his hand rotting but not feeling any pain! "Fuck..." In the last moment of his consciousness, he shouted weakly. After that, his sight blurred and turned dark, whole body fell into the flowers. ..... ..... "Where is this place...?" Falkmar opened his eyes as he spoke. He found that he was in a white space, foggy and boundless. As vast as the ocean and as deep as the starry sky. Falkmar was a little overwhelmed by this familiar yet strange, boundless, and bizarre scene. His heart beat wildly in his chest and feel the cold air surrounding him. "This seems not heaven..." Falkmar glanced around and whispered. He was confused as to why this place made him feel familiar. As he rose, he started to walk in a direction subconsciously. "I have to say, it''s too cold here." The cold here made his body tremble uncontrollably. "Huh? What''s that?" Falkmar spoke as he saw a thing that was far away from him, so far until turning into a black dot. Suddenly, a wave of fear overwhelmed Falkmar. This made breathing difficult, and he felt a mountain weight press down on him. Every fiber of his being starts screaming, really screaming. "FOOL! DON''T STARE AT IT!" "DON''T LOOK OR WE GOING TO DIE!" "ARE YOU DUMB? DO NOT LOOK AT IT!" Numerous voices echoed around Falkmar, causing him to feel even more confused and anxious. His eyes widened as he saw many mouths grow on his body to shout and scream. His body mutated by gazing at the black dot afar from him. Not only the mouths grow on every part of his body but the eyes. This caused his sight to be a bit strange, as it seemed to be rounded. His sight was three-hundred-sixty degrees and he could even see parts of his body that he could not see before from his head. Once Falkmar closed his eyes his vision darkened and he saw nothing, after that, he no longer heard any voice and felt his body turn back to normal. As Falkmar opened his eyes, instead of staring at the black dot he chose to stare at the ground. "Auer quekit..." A strange voice sounded in the boundless white space. If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. "Huh? Who''s talking?" Falkmar raises his head and glances around instinctively. When Falkmar looked back he found out the white space behind Falkmar was collapsing, leaving an eternal darkness. "Oh shit!" Falkmar rose quickly and ran, but he couldn''t run faster than the collapsing space around him. Soon, he falls into the darkness. ..... "Ahh!!" Falkmar screams and wakes up, he sits up instinctively as he opens his eyes. Just when he opened his eyes he saw a head, a head of a beauty. Bong! It''s too late to stop, their head hit together. "AHH!!" Falkmar screams even more. Tears are rolling in his eyes as his head takes the damage again, he shouts in his mind. "Why do I keep getting hurt!" After a few seconds, the pain fades away. Falkmar rubbed his forehead gently and sat up, looked at the beauty and soon he was stunned by the beauty in front of him. That beauty''s hair is gradient blue and black hair, her facial features are extinguished and surreal with a slender neck. Her skin was light brown and she wore a dark blue dress, a high-waist style and the decoration on it made this dress look expensive. Her azure eyes stare at me through the rimmed glass. Her eyes filled with confusion as she stared at Falkmar. This can''t be blamed on the beauty because Falkmar was stunned as he looked at the beauty. Falkmar''s face blushes and takes a hard gulp as he stares at the chest of the beauty. "H-hello...?" Falkmar said with his childish and pure voice. "Meoy?" The beauty said. "...Fine" Falkmar sighed, seems he needed to learn the language to communicate in this world. Falkmar glanced around and found out this was a little room. Inside the room was quite messy, with many papers on the floor, and there was a small wooden table with two wooden chairs and a bookshelf on the wall. A luminous stone emits a soft yellow light, illuminating the room. "Ugh... can you understand what I''m talking about?" Falkmar regains control of his thoughts and asks a question The beauty heard Falkmar''s language, tilted her head, and seems thinking something. A few seconds passed, and she sighed and shook her head to reply that she didn''t understand his language. She stood up and took Falkmar''s hand to lead him outside. As they stepped out, brilliant sunshine lit up Falkmar''s face, causing him to instinctively raise his hand to shield it. Falkmar discovered he was in a white, ruined palace. His eyes widened at this moment; it looked ancient, mythical, and majestic amidst the forest. It''s a square shape and has a third floor, there was a big hole in the roof of the ruined palace. Some of the vines wrapped around the roof, while the bottom has flowers and weeds growing on it. Each entrance and exit has a graceful arc. There is a flower garden in the middle of the ruins, and the sun shines through the leaves and holes. When the sun shines on the flowers, this scene inevitably makes Falkmar even forget to breathe at this moment. "So beautiful..." Falkmar whisper. The beauty holding his hand while walking. They pass through the hall beside the flower garden. Rows of human-shaped stone statues line the wall beside the hall, each holding a sword with both hands inserted into the ground. These statues show many cracks and signs of damage. Then they turned a corner and crossed the hall, arriving at another area of ??the ruined palace. Here, Falkmar doesn''t see the beautiful scene instead, he sees a swarm of spiders each about the size of a dog and crawling around. Falkmar''s face turned pale with fright when he saw this, and also because they had the same appearance as the giant spider he saw. However, the beauty seems to have no fear of those spiders, so she brings Falkmar inside. It seems she senses that Falkmar doesn''t want to move, she turns back and looks at him and sees his face paled and his body trembling. She chuckles softly and lends out an arm to those spiders and a spider jumps on her hand quickly. The spider crawled on her arm to her head and then its feet huddled to sit on her head. "Huh...??" Falkmar exclaimed. The spider on her head seems harmless and adorable. However, this can''t change Falkmar''s mind; he doesn''t want to step into the area. Sensing Falkmar resisted, she couldn''t help but sigh. Suddenly, she raised her hand and carried Falkmar like an infant. "Ah..?" Falkmar exclaimed. Falkmar leaned on her chest with a shy face. The soft feeling of her chest makes desire burn in Falkmar''s mind. "So soft...! And it smells so good...!" Falkmar shouted in his mind and felt a fire of desire grow on his crotch. "Wait...! Not now!" Falkmar blushed and shouted in his mind anxiously. It''s quite rude if Falkmar stands up in his crotch right now. He quickly thought of something to calm his desire. Just like this, the beauty carries Falkmar moving to the next area and all the spiders are watching Falkmar. He could feel the curiosity in the eyes of those spiders made him feel weird. Eventually, the beauty stopped at a corridor. This corridor seemed to be the end of this ruined palace. It''s broad and long, full of spider silk on the ground even the top and the spider silk is tangled together to form circles one after another, some large and some small. Two rows of stone statues on the wall of the corridor. Unlike the statues beside the flower garden, they are large and positioned is a hand holding a sword and bowing their head, kneeling on the ground. At the end of the hall is a stair with a throne on the top, the throne is made of stone and covered by a layer of dust. A bedtime story After finishing the dinner every spiders go back to their lair and rest but some of the spiders come out from the lair. It was their guarding system, a group of spiders working in the daytime and another group of spiders working in the nighttime. "Ahh..." Saze sit on the ruined block, yawned and stretch as he spoke. A wave of tiredness and drowsiness swept over his mind, making his eyelids feel heavy. His body begins to shake slightly and Finty notices about him. "Wanted to sleep now?" Finty glances at him. "Ah... yes..." Saze rubs his eyes slightly as he answers Finty. On this day, Saze does many things, such as exercise, study, cooking, and practicing arcane magic, and the last one is getting beat up by Finty. The physical and mental pain naturally made him feel exhausted. After a simple bath at a pool area, Saze heads to his lair, an oval-shaped lair that was opened on the top. It was made by Mon, and inside are the clothes he wore when he was on Earth and transmigrated to this world. "Ahh!" When Saze turned in, he pressed his broken leg accidentally and screamed in pain. He quickly fixed his position and closed his eyes. As he closed his eyes, his thoughts rushed in his brain, and thinking about his power. The power system in this world is the first stage to the sixth stage. The greater number the stronger and each stage has three levels which are low level, mid level, and high level. As for how to reach a higher stage, it has two ways which are doing a ritual and practicing arcane magic. Ritual is the fastest way but it will lack experience and technique in arcane magic and practicing arcane magic would be long but a lot of experience and technique in arcane magic. Every stage would gain a huge benefit such as responsiveness improved, increased maximum capacity of mana, and improved arcane magic. When Size knew this, he doubted whether he had transmigrated to the game world. Right now, Saze is at the first stage low level. He needs to improve his wind arcane magic by practicing more. Although Finty and Moty can make a ritual for him to reach the second stage quickly, but he wants to improve by practice. Many thoughts appear in Saze''s mind making him excited, not able to sleep. He opens his eyes with a heavy sigh and gazes at the starry sky. Although the leaves of the trees cover most of the sky but it didn''t block the brightest star in the sky. "Agh...! I shouldn''t talk bad words about Finty..." Saze whispered and regretted Saze''s leg broke and he wanted the change his posture but the pain did not allow him to do that and he also complained in his mind that Finty used her power to break his leg. "I thought you slept." A cold voice sounded, making Saze tremble a little instinctively. "Finty? Why are you here?" Saze sat up and saw Finty standing next to his lair. "Here to heal your leg." Finty said with a smile. "Really?!" Saze cried out of surprise. Finty didn''t answer him but stepped into the lair. Although the lair was small but also enough for two people, just a little bit crowded. Finty crouches and stretches out an arm then opens her palms. A visible green wave emanates from her palms and flies to Saze''s left leg. "Ah..." As the green wave flies to Saze''s left leg, a comfortable sense makes him couldn''t help but moan. "Feeling comfortable? You can beg me then I''ll give you more." Finty smirks with a teasing tone. "Pleas... um!" Saze covered his mouth with two hands as if he were going to beg Finty for more. Finty chuckled at his words, after a moment the green wave faded and Saze''s broken leg was healed. After the green wave faded she pressed and squeezed Saze''s left leg gently then looked at him. "Alright, it''s done." Finty sat down and spoke. "Thank you Finty! You''re the best! You''re the lord! I''ll do everything for you!" Saze shouted happily and try to move his left leg.Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. As expected, the bone reconnected and Saze didn''t feel any pain while moving it. At this moment, he no longer hates Finty anymore and it is replaced by happy. "If I ever found out that you complain about me to others, then next time is two legs." Finty sneered. "I-I won''t do that again! I promise!" Saze gulps and feels a chill run down his spine. "Well then... Anyways we can''t sleep, let''s just chat." Finty said to Saze. With that, Finty didn''t give Saze time to talk and just pinned him down and embraced him. This sudden act makes Saze''s brain stop working for a while, after a moment he just realized what Finty did. "Fi-Finty... c-can you... release...m-me...?" After being embraced, Saze started to stutter when he spoke. "It''s more comfortable to lie down and talk, aren''t you comfortable too?" Finty said with a teasing tone and embraced him even harder. "mmm! I can''t breath...!" Saze''s voice was muffled by Finty''s chest. Apart from his mother''s hug, this was the first time Saze had been hugged so tightly by a woman. Being so tightly pressed against a woman''s body made him feel flustered. His heart beat faster and his face became redder. "Alright alright, I''ll stop." Finty chuckled and lesser the power to hug Saze. "Ah... Finally..." Saze takes a deep breath. "Since you''ve talked about your life in... Earth, are you interested in my life in this world?" Finty asked while stroking Saze''s head. "Yes! Of course! I want to hear about your story." Saze said and he found out that he enjoying her touch. "I was a spider before..." Finty speaks slowly. Finty was a spider before, not a human. She was born in this forest and at that time, the dark web spider was not that much, it was only twenty-three and lived in this ruined palace. Dark web spiders would not hunt while not adult but they watch aside. Dark web spiders is a spider that has the same IQ as a ten-year-old child which means they can think. This was their capital to survive in this forest and also their unity. "Wait... how did you become human if you were a spider?" Saze was confused and asked. "I am aberrant. Aberrant is when those creatures turn to human form, it is caused by a majestic mana event." Finty answered him. "Aberrant... but how the majestic mana event happened?" Saze asked another question. "If a fifth-stage or higher-stage creature or a person dies it will make a majestic mana event. Those mana erupt out from the body and fly in all directions, sometimes it makes a huge disaster." Finty explained. "The aberrant are those creatures who encounter that event and don''t die, after that, they can gather those mana to make themselves stronger and turn to human form. Every aberrant is stronger than the people who same stage as them. A third-stage aberrant can fight a fourth-stage creature or person." Finty added. Saze takes a hard gulp and says nothing but continues to listen to Finty''s story. After she was born in this forest, she learns about the power of the dark web and venom. Just like this, she practiced for five years and she turned into an adult, able to hunt with other spiders now. "At first, it was easy and quick, sometimes we have a strong foe." Finty said slowly. After a couple time of hunting they met a strong foe. It was a third-stage mid-level flaming dinosaur. This dinosaur''s body was burning and used flame elements. The flaming breath of the dinosaur burned all the spider silk. "That was a tough fight, however in the end, we all pounced on the flaming dinosaur and killed it with venom but many spiders died. After that fight, only four adult spiders left." Finty said without any emotion. "I lost my parents at that fight. However, I don''t feel anything in my mind. I just ate their corpse." Finty added. That tough fight makes the dark web spiders weaker in the forest. They took ten years to recover and during this ten years, they only hunted at the edge of the story. "But soon another disaster... also an opportunity, the forest suddenly fell into chaos for an unknown reason, every creature in the deep of the forest seems loses their sanity and started attack every creature they saw." "A fifth-stage low-level bizarre deer comes with heavy wounds. The deer with black fur and white spot and size is about Mon right now. However, the deer still attacked us, but there was many spider silk around the ruined palace." Finty strokes Saze''s head again and hugs him tighter. The deer rush in, breaking many walls, many broken walls right now are the traces of that fight. The strongest dark web spider at that time was Finty, a third-stage mid-level. She commands all the spiders to attack this intruder. After another tough fight, they won again but suddenly the black fur deer''s corpse bloated and gleamed with a dark blue light. Bong! That''s how the majestic mana event happened. At that moment, the powerful mana flew in all directions like a waterfall, it passed through the wall and hit the living things. All of them were going to die but suddenly a wave of mana erupted out from those stone statues. It forms an arcane formation and protects every spider in the ruined palace. The arcane formation looks complex, with a circle as the outer edge and a pentagram with many designs and gleams with golden light forming and covering the ruined palace. These golden lights gather and create a light beam flying into the sky. At that moment, the powerful mana from the black fur deer and the golden light collide against each other. Soon, the mana becomes weaker at the end it becomes peaceful and the huge arcane formation disappears. Those spiders cheer up and absorb the rich mana around them. After that Finty''s body started to twitch and she cried out in pain, other spiders noticed it tried to help her, after all, Finty was the leader of the spiders at that time. Finty''s body started shrinking and reshaping her body, her body became human and her fur was replaced by pale skin, her gradient blue hair grew and finally, she became a human but fainted. Three days passed when Finty woke up. When she wakes up she is shocked by her new body, which allows her to switch between spider and human forms. After that, it''s just boring training and then going to see the human world. Finty traveled to four countries, felt their different cultures, and learned about human thinking and emotions. When she returned to the forest, Saze appeared in her world. "It''s been seventy-two years since I was born, so... I am a seventy-two-year-old...aberrant. Alright, that''s all... hm?" Finty noticed that Saze had slept already. Finty smiled lightly and hugged him tighter and closed her eyes to sleep. Terrible aura of coachman The forest is gently awakened as the first rays of dawn penetrate the dense canopy of towering trees. The scent of earth and blooming wildflowers wafts through the ruined mansion. Moisture and the smell of rainfall from the air dropped water along the hole of the palace, and a pool of water was gathered. It''s obvious to see it rained last night. The water drops down to Saze''s forehead and slides off his head, at the same time he woke up. He slowly opens his eyes and rubs lightly with his hand, his two black eyes gleaming with clear light. "Ahh~" Saze rose and yawned. His two arms rise and make fists then start stretching his spine, twisting his waist left and right, listening to the crackling sound of his spine. This feeling is very comfortable for him, but it makes him want to do more. Now he wants to rotate his spine three hundred sixty ??degrees. "That might be comfortable..." Saze said in mind as a joke. After all, Saze doesn''t want to be a disabled person yet. If he can only sit in the wheelchair forever then he really doesn''t have any idea of how to live happily. "Oh yeah, what year is this world in...? I should ask Finty later..." Saze looks up at that huge hole of the ruined palace and whispers. "1887." A cold voice sounded behind Saze. As Saze returns his head, a blue and black gradient hair with a dark blue dress woman sits gracefully before Saze. Finty''s face shows a faint smile to Saze. Her smile has the charm of a mature woman, her lips open and repeat again. "This year is 1887." Finty repeated. Saze takes a hard gulp and suppresses the impulse in his heart. At this age, he has also entered puberty. In these four years, Finty teases him sometimes; however, it''s not too frequently. Saze quickly calms down his mind and responds to Finty. "1887? So it''s 19th century right now..." Saze contemplates. "So you''ve been here for four years now, what other memory on the earth you have come back?" Finty ask. "Oh, I''ve got my memories at thirteen years old back, so now I''m thirteen years old." Saze said softly. As time goes by, Saze''s memories will come back. Every day he passes, his memory of a day on earth will come back. Although the void has reversed his time to a few years ago, these have affected his body and even his mind. Turn his body into a child and make his mind immature. However, it will all come back eventually. "Well then, you will have a long vacation soon." Finty said to Saze while poking the small spider that crawl to her thigh. "Eh, why?" Saze said in surprise. "I''m going outside of the forest to the human world, their country. I''m going to prepare your ID card for you then you can live in there with your kind." "Are you excited now? You can go out of the forest and step into the world of humans." Finty smiling. Saze has stayed in this forest for four years and after hearing that he can go to the human world he is definitely happy and excited. In these four years, he doesn''t even see the shadow of human, aside from Finty and Moty, they were human form but they still are aberrant. "R-Re-Really?!! Hooray!!" Saze stammers and shouts excitedly. "Hehe... However, you still need to wait for a month." Finty seeing him so happy, she couldn''t help but want to extinguish his happiness. "It''s okay, I have waited for four years already! It''s just only one month!" Saze makes fists with both hands with no sign of any happiness being extinguished at all. The eyes of the black-haired boy were filled with the light of yearning for freedom, which made Finty stunned for a moment inadvertently and smile in next second. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. "Well, keeping to be optimistic is not a bad thing at all, just don''t get too over with it." Finty said. "Alright, what are we going to do today?" Saze asked about the schedule for today. "Nothing, you can just do your business and I''m going to prepare my things and go out." Finty rose and walked away. "Then let me help you." Saze follows up. This act made Finty glance at him. She didn''t expect Saze will do this. To be honest, it was quite heartwarming. Sometimes the unintentional kindness of others will be remembered in people''s hearts. This was the first time in four years that Saze offered to help. Of course, this was because he couldn''t help before. After all, he couldn''t lift huge ruined blocks or hunt. But Finty didn''t say anything and just gestured to tell him to follow up. After leaving the hall, they passed through many small areas and then saw an old wooden door in an inconspicuous corner. Finty stepped into the room as she slowly opened the old wooden door and the creaking sounded. What comes into view is a huge red carpet covering the floor of the exhibition hall and a large white bed with tables and chairs next to it. There are also many decorations in this room, such as a world map hanging on the wall and books piled on the floor. There are shoe cabinets and many luminous stones to illuminate the room. When Saze stepped into the room, a scent of fragrance hit his nostrils. At this time, he looked at the bookshelf on the side and found that there were many flowers and plants in a row, and the fragrance came from them. "I actually have prepared many things already, I''m just going to get my extra shoes and dress." Finty opens her wardrobe. The wardrobe has many dresses, shirts, and underwear as well as the shoes that are at the bottom. As Finty starts to grab those things, she also tells Saze to get a flower. "Hey, Saze get the dark blue flower on the bookshelf." Finty said lightly. "Alright... let me see... ugh..." Saze''s eyes glanced at the row of bookshelf that had flowers. "Aha! This one!" Saze found it, and took it carefully. This dark blue flower was the same color as Finty''s hair, the flower had big petals and a thin stem. Saze held the flowerpot and leaned against the stone wall and he suddenly saw there is a thin and blue color energy that was like silk flowing on the petals. "Finty, what''s this?" Saze asked. "That''s the mana on the flower, didn''t I teach you that everything contains mana." Finty roll her eyes. "But I never see them materialize." Saze takes the flowerpot close to his face and gazes at the petals. "That''s because I use the mana to replace the nutrition." Finty answered. "Oh, arcane magic can also work in this way?" Saze said in surprise. "Yes, you can also use your mana to replace blood so you can consider mana as extra blood." Finty explained. "If you use blood arcane then it will be better because you can materialize the real blood." Finty added after explaining. Saze''s looks up as if thinking something. Memory of Earth appears in his mind, through watching anime, he imagines an evil arcane mage using blood arcane to harm people. "That''s seems what evil people do..." Saze said in a deep voice. "Don''t let stereotypes slander others..." Finty''s lips corner twitches a bit. "In fact, those blood arcane are used to heal people not to harm people. I have a friend who is using blood arcane and he was a great doctor that saved a hundred lives." Finty added. Arcane is a tool that can save others and harm others. No matter what arcane magic it is, the core is still the user. "Oh, that''s cool then! I want to learn it!" Saze said with shining eyes. Saze acts so excitedly because one of his dreams is to become a great doctor who saves people and other of his dreams is to be an author, pilot, and lawyer. As for why there are so many dream jobs, it''s because what he thinks is that if he can''t do this, then he tries this. It won''t go wrong to leave more escape routes for yourself. "Ugh... I''m not sure that you can handle blood arcane. Commonly, our first arcane is elements arcane, just like your wind arcane, it is because we can contact them every day." Finty explained. "But isn''t we contact the blood every day? The blood was flowing in our body." Saze asked a difficult question to answer. "Ugh..." Finty is stunned for a moment and thinks deeply. "I don''t know, but what I know is elements is the basic and the first arcane magic awakened in people." Finty spreading both hands means that she doesn''t know either. "I will ask that doctor about this question." Finty added and put everything in the small wooden trunk. After preparing everything, Finty and Saze go out of the ruined palace. Many spiders and also Moty is here, seems they are waiting for Finty and Saze. "Oh, Finty you finally done!" Moty said happily. "The carriage is here already." Moty added. The rapid sound of horse hooves slowly amplified a luxury carriage that had 4 brown horses that were controlled by a man. That man was young and wore a black robe, white shirt, and black pants. He has sharp eyes, a straight nose, and thin lips which give him an arrogant aura. He glances around this area and gazes at Saze. At this moment, their eye contact, and Saze felt an invisible pressure of mountain as if pressed him down. Saze''s breathing became rapid and his hair stood on end, as if he was alone and facing a strong enemy. At the next moment, the man looks away. Nobody sees that the body of Saze was trembling lightly. The black wooden carriage with ornate gold engraving and a metal wheel. Finty opened the door of the carriage, revealing the pure white leather on the seat and a small table connected at the end. "Alright, I will go now. Moty, take care of Saze." Finty smiles and closes the door. As the carriage faded away in the eyes of every spider and person, Saze moved, he suddenly fell to his knees and gasped for air, his clothes soaked with cold sweat. "Ha... ha... ha..." Saze panting. "Whoa- what happened??" Moty is confused and quickly walks to his side. "That man... freaking horrible..." Saze stammers. First information about Earth Moty suddenly enlightened as if she knew what had happened. But in fact, she really knew what happened. "Oh, you make eye contact with that coachman?" Moty said with a smile. "Oh... you know what happened?" Saze asked. Right now, Saze is already much better. He sat on the grass and took a deep breath to relax his tight muscles and nerves. However, the fear in his heart and the blood in his vessels were still surging. "That''s just an arcane, he was checking around if there was any danger although he was Finty''s bodyguard." Moty said lightly. "Eh? Finty seems strong, wait, what stage is she right now?" Saze asked. "...Fifth stage low level." Moty thought for a moment and said. "Fifth stage low level?!" Saze gasped. Saze knew that Finty was strong, but he didn''t expect it to be that strong. He was surprised, scared, and a little... proud. After all, he was the one who survived Finty''s hands. "No wonder Finty pinched my leg and my bone broke..." Saze murmured. "But, why did she need bodyguard since she is in the fifth stage already?" Saze asked again. "Hmm... I don''t know, I don''t actually have contact with the human world. Finty will teach me the culture of the human world sometimes." "But I have a guess... maybe she needs a bodyguard because she needs someone to sacrifice themselves in case." Moty thoughtfully said thoughtfully. "Finty need someone to... sacrifice? Let them die?" Saze''s eyes widened as he heard what Moty said. "Yes, just in case, Finty using some arcane that needs someone to sacrifice themselves.." Moty said without any emotion. This sounds evil and dehumanizes at all. Saze was sure that he couldn''t tell someone to go die for him. This kind of thinking goes against his values ??and makes him feel cold and uncomfortable. "This world is weird..." Saze murmured. At this moment, Moty stretched out a hand to let Saze grab it and stand up. Under Moty''s help, Saze rose effortlessly, when he rose up, he shook a few times and stabilized his body. "Alright, because Finty left so I will replace her to take care of you. Those spiders will do the same too." Moty smiled warmly. "Gruu!" Those spiders let out a high gruu, including Mon. Observing the spiders'' enthusiastic response near Saze''s feet left him feeling odd, yet he couldn''t quite express why. However, it also made Saze feel reassured as if he had a friend acting as his protective shield. "Alright, then what are we going to do while Finty is not here?" Saze asked. "I don''t know too, what you want to do then we will plan for it." Moty chooses to let Saze decide. Saze thought deeply, thinking about what should he do, in his mind. After a few minutes, Saze wants to improve his power to become stronger. Even though he was safe in this forest, however, becoming stronger was not a bad option at all. In this forest exuding green vitality, one person, one aberrant, and a group of spiders gathered together to discuss plans for the next few days. The discussion lasted longer and longer, and the sky became darker and darker. At dusk, they returned to the white ruined palace and prepared for dinner. A bunch of campfires were raised here, and they were surrounded by spiders. On top of the fire were strings of barbecued meat, which were the prey that some of the spiders had caught during the day. The aroma and smoke of barbecue are everywhere, however, the palace is well-ventilated because of its dilapidation, so the smoke will disperse. Saze wasn''t shocked as he sat aside and watched the anthropomorphic movements of these spiders. After four years here, he was used to it. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. Although these smells would attract some night predators, but this is the spider''s base camp. They have already laid out a bunch of spider webs around it and they would be very happy if predators came over. After all, no one would dislike a free takeaway, unless it''s poisonous. In the bright palace, there are spiders playing together, grabbing the meat of other spiders, and even fighting. They look like a bunch of elementary school students, no, even elementary students are better than these spiders. "Gruu!!!" A spider let out a shrill scream. When the sound rang out, Saze''s heart went off. He immediately rose up and looked in the direction of the sound. He immediately discovered that it was a spider that had been pushed into the fire during the fight. "....." Saze''s lips corner twitch a bit. "...Aw come on, you guys stop fighting." A girl''s voice sounded. It was Moty, she grabbed the leg of the spider that was in the fire and used water arcane to form a water ball to put out the fire on its body. After Moty let go of the spider, The spider immediately pointed at the little spiders next to itself and made a Gruu Gruu sound to Moty as if complaining about their sin. "Gruu! Gruu!" The spider shouting. "Ah... I see... Okay... Alright alright... calm down first...." Moty crouches and comforts the spider. After a while, the spider forgot the hatred between him and the other little spiders and started playing together again, this farce is over. "Hey, Moty, This kind of drama happens every night, don''t you feel tired?" Saze passes a skewer of meat to Moty. "Welp, I''m used to it." Moty sighed. When dinner was over, Saze sat beside the tips of the palace and gazed at the huge white eye rune of night. The breeze blows gently on him to gently wave his hair back and his two eyes seem hiding something. As footsteps came from behind Saze, his ears moved a little bit. He did not look back or stand up and turn around but continued to gaze at the eye rune of night. "Moty... this world doesn''t have stars?" Saze''s voice was slightly hoarse. "Stars...?" The voice of Moty sounded behind Saze. "Saze... you know what? From the stories I heard from you, I feel more and more like you are someone who stepped out of a book of legend." Moty added. "Huh? Why?" Saze turned his head back with surprised emotion. "Did Finty tell you that legend?" Moty asked. "What legend?" Saze confused. "Ugh... you know, there are many things in your world that mirror the world in the legend such as the sun, moon, and... stars. Also! The most The most shocking thing is! That world in legend is also called... "Earth"." Moty said. "W-What?! Is this real? Do you know more about that legend?!" Saze''s eyes widened, he rose up and turned around to ask anxiously. "It''s in ancient age, this world before is not like this. This world in the ancient age has the sun and moon, and there is also a boundless dark sea that contains countless stars, but that world doesn''t have arcane magic and mana and..." Moty replied. As Moty continued to speak, Saze''s breathing became heavier and his heart beat faster and faster. His body trembled as he listened to Moty tell the details of the legend one by one. "The last thing of that legend is... how the "Earth" civilization was destroyed, but maybe it because the legend was too old so... the detail of that was missing." Moty said. When Size heard how the "Earth" civilization was destroyed, he shed tears uncontrollably, and when he heard that there was no information about this, his eyes suddenly dimmed. Moty couldn''t help but feel sad after seeing this. "It-It means... I''m not transmigrated to other world but I am... travel to...the future?" Saze''s voice trembles when speaking. "This... this is just an unfounded legend. It should be... just a coincidence. You don''t need to pay too much attention to this..." However, even Moty doesn''t believe it''s just a coincidence. "Fine..." Saze sighed and sat down again. He sat on the ground and hugged his knees, and his eyes filled with tears looked like the dark night. This is the first time he has come into contact with information about the Earth here. From what Moty said, it is basically certain that it is the Earth. He had many questions in his mind but didn''t know how to express them, so he had to keep them in his heart. Moty also sat next to him, followed by a giant spider, Mon. "At least... thanks for telling me about that." Saze thinks for a moment and thanks to Moty. Saze knows he couldn''t sleep tonight because of this incident. ..... In a luxury noble mansion, two guards with whole black uniforms are standing and both holding a Musket long gun and guarding the gate. The guards heard the rapid sound of horse hooves, a black carriage with gold engraving coming. The carriage stopped before the guards, as they saw the coachman, the guards switched gaze and said. "Good evening Mr. Lloyd, how was the trip?" A guard smiled warmly and asked the coachman. "I have nothing to talk with you, now open the gate and get out of my sight, weakling." The coachman or Lloyd said coldly. "Hehehehe.... hahaha... alright, Mr. Lloyd, you''ve said the code. You may enter now." As Lloyd said the code, both guards'' face was twisted into an exaggerated smile, and their mouth was opened unusually wide. They opened the gate with stiff movements, but the expressions on their faces did not change, which looked very strange or just like somebody using strings to control them. "Hmpf!" Lloyd snorted. As the door slowly opened, Lloyd also controlled the carriage and entered. This noble palace is very luxurious, large and beautiful. But in Lloyd''s eyes, it is just a prison. Many servants are here to welcome them back on this bizarre night. "Hehehe... Hahaha!!! Have fun, Mr. Lloyd!" Those guards close the gate and let out a shriek of laughter. After that, the guards take their guns aim at each other''s heads and slowly pull the trigger. Bong! Bong! Three factions After two gunshots, two guards fell to the ground with an exaggerated smile. Lloyd parked the carriage at the entrance of the mansion. There are two human-shaped stone sculptures at the door. They are two knights holding a sword and pointing to the sky. As the door of the carriage opens, Finty walks down slowly. Many servants stand beside the red carpet, once Finty stood on it all of them bow to her. "Welcome back, lady Finty." The servants said in unison. The servants saluted Finty with numb bodies and flat voices as if everyone were being manipulated by a person. Every movement was unnatural and weird, and their eyes seemed to reveal fear. Finty couldn''t help but sigh. "Walker, when are you going to get rid of the habit of manipulating others? Your manipulation skills are so bad... didn''t you notice that this servant''s arm is almost broken? Finty walked to the servant beside the door. This servant bows but the arm is twisted at an unnatural angle, with a look of pain on his face. As Finty swept his arm over the servant, several invisible silks broke. The servant was no longer controlled, and his arm returned to its normal angle. However, because the silk controlling him broke instantly, he immediately lost his center of gravity and fell forward. Fortunately, Finty quickly grabbed the collar behind the servant''s back and prevented him from falling to the ground. When the servant stabilized his body, he immediately thanked Finty, but the fear on his face remained unchanged. Finty turned around, swept forward with a knife hand, and the silks that controlled them were broken. After the servants regained control, they thanked Finty, and then some of them took the carriage to the stable, while others went to the gate, seemingly to dispose of the body there. "Ahaha... Welcome back, Finty!" The voice of a young sounded. When Finty turned around, she saw a young boy open the door. The boy has pretty features on his face and black hair. His height seems like a child of 9 years old and right now, he was looking at Finty with an embarrassed face. He wore a black beret and a beige jacket with a white shirt underneath, black pants, and black shoes. This color paired with his young face gives him a unique temperament. The name of this boy is called Walker. Walker talked first when Finty was going to talk. "Eh? Where is your rimmed eyeglasses?" He talks with a confused tone. Finty is stunned for a moment and suddenly realizes that she didn''t wear her eyeglasses, but it doesn''t matter too much seems she still can see clearly. "Oh I forgot it on the carriage, I was sleeping." "Here is it." Finty and Lloyd said at the same time. Lloyd is holding Finty''s wooden trunk and the dark blue flower in his hand, and Finty''s rimmed eyeglasses in the other hand. Lloyd reached out and handed the glasses back to Finty. "Hehe... your relationship looks good." Walker said a joke. "Lloyd is a nice person, he can do many works, but he doesn''t smile at everyone..." Finty slowly wipes the lenses. "See? Lloyd you should try to smile, just like this... smile~" Walker does a warm smile. After that Walker stares at Lloyd, expecting him will do the same. Lloyd had to force out a smile due to pressure from his superiors, however it was uglier than crying. "...." Walker felt that Lloyd was doing it on purpose. "Alright, let''s get in and you better explain why you killed those guards." Finty said lightly while opening the door and leading them to go inside. "Ah... you know our identities are very sensitive and cannot be known to others. Those humans hate aberrant for no good reason, pretty dumb." Walker walked beside Finty and complained. "Humans are not dumb, they are quite smart." Finty refused Walker''s opinion. "If they are smart then I won''t find out those two guards were replying to the military and other noble families." Walker sneered.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. "I mean some of them are smart but some of them don''t. Did they successfully reply to military and noble families?" Finty added. "No, I have killed them, also I have warned other servants and given a little punishment to all of them." "But there is one person that I can''t control him, you should take care of him." With that, Walker glanced at Lloyd, and Finty did the same. Lloyd also noticed they were glancing at them, he knew that he was the one that Walker couldn''t control because Lloyd was Finty''s housekeeper and bodyguard. "As long as I won''t get threatened to death then I won''t betray you guys." Lloyd said coldly. Just like this, they didn''t talk anymore but walked through the corridor and upstairs, then arrived at Finty''s room. Finty asked Lloyd to briefly sort out the things in the wooden trunk and then started chatting with Walker outside the room. "But how do they try to contact military and noble families? I remember we knocked out all of them when transferred to here, they wouldn''t know where is this place." Finty said thoughtfully. "Look at this." Walker gives Finty a letter. Finty took the letter and opened it, quickly glancing at it but the more she read it, the deeper her frown becomes. Eventually, after finishing reading it, her hand burst out a powerful mana instantly burned the letter to ashes. "Seth noble... Astor noble... they are guarding at the forest where I live. As for the military, they hate aberrant, if they found that we are aberrant they will definitely use every resource that they can use to kill us..." Finty said in a low voice. "I''m sure with one thing, they are the first who contact our guards, seems no matter how low-key we are we will still be noticed by others." Walker sighed. "Fortunately, I have killed the guards before they send that letter, or else our identity is exposed already." Walker sighed and leaned on the wall. "Well then... I have to do my things faster." Finty said lightly. "Oh, what are you going to do?" Walker asked. "Make an ID card." Finty replied. "ID card? Wait a second, who''s ID card you going to make?" Walker said excitedly with confusion. "I..." Finty''s voice is cut off by Walker. "Shh... wait! Let me guess! hmm... I''ve smelled something on you... it''s... it''s... human! But how? Do you go to other cities in these four years? I thought you just stayed in that forest." Walker asked. Finty sighed and decided to tell him what happened in these four years. From the first time they meet to this morning. Just like this, Finty tells everything about Saze but doesn''t include the Earth and the language problem, that''s quite sensitive. Walker was very shocked after hearing this. There was actually a child walking deep into the forest alone. Fortunately, he was not eaten by other monsters and was also caught by Mon who brought him to a ruined mansion. "B-But don''t you think is suspicious? Maybe he was a pawn of a faction? just military or noble." Walker asked with worry. This worry was unnecessary because the first time, Finty knew that Saze was not a person of any factions because of the language. Finty also knew that Saze''s secret might be true because of the "Earth" legend and his language is real, she has learned some English from Saze. "Don''t worry, he''s not." Finty replied shortly. At this time, Lloyd has finished sorting the things and come out of the room. "Hey! Walker! Did you see the boy in the forest when you fetch up Finty?" Walker asked happily. "Huh? Boy...? Oh yeah, that boy was... special, I mean in his face, at least I didn''t see that kind of feature around these four empires, quite handsome and also gave me the feeling that he did not belong to this world, you know the transmigration novel? That was transmigrated to this world from another world." Lloyd said a lot in one breath. "Whoa! I the first time heard you say so many words at once! Finty! Can you bring him here? I wanna see him!" Walker shouted happily. "I guess you will see him soon, after I get his ID card." Finty replied. "Hooray!!!" Walker yells happily. The happy atmosphere washes away the worry about the three factions and the letter. After that Finty enters her room, there are more things and stuff than in the room where she lives in the forest. More design, decoration, and engraving on the wall. Finty sits on the wooden chair and gazes at the night sky through the window. "At this time... Saze might be sitting on the roof and watching to eye rune of night, or he just lie in the nest of spiders... Hmm.. I should give him a room after I go back." Finty murmured, full of concern for Saze. "Saze...?" Lloyd suddenly sounded scared Finty a bit. "You know that you''re not an assassin of the military now, right? it''s okay to expose your footstep..." Finty turns her head and side glances at him. "...How do you not notice me that I''m near you? Because of that boy? Hmm, so you actually stay with him for four years. I thought that he was the "human pet" that you bought from the slave market." Lloyd said lightly. "I don''t have a hobby of treating humans like pets or dogs, I''m not those inhumane noble." Finty holds her anger in her mind. "Well then... sometimes I wonder, who the hell is the pervert that makes the "human pet" which treat slave like a dog..." Lloyd asked. "You should asked your kind, Mr. Human~" Finty smiled and said in sarcasm. "....." Lloyd was speechless this time. "Seems Saze is really important to you... You got scared by me because you were thinking of him and you used a sarcastic tone to talk to me." Lloyd said after a moment with an unknown-meaning glance. Seeing Lloyd''s glance, Finty rose up and started twisting muscle as if preparing to fight. Lloyd gulps and chooses the best choice in this situation. "Alright, I''ll check if those servants dispose of the body well..." Lloyd was going to leave. "It''s ok, Walker will check it..." Finty said in low voice. Finty smiled warmly, but in Lloyd''s eyes, he saw the reaper waving its hand as if welcoming him to hell. If Saze was here he would know what Lloyd was going to face because when Saze talks bad words about Finty, she also does that to him. Bong! "Ahh!!!" A loud scream from Lloyd sounded. "Tsk tsk tsk, seems Saze was really important to her." Walker heard to scream from Lloyd upstairs, he didn''t go to help him but took a sip of red tea calmly. Hunt and being hunt On a bright day in a vast forest, many figures quickly shuttle between the trees, some are slow and some are fast, and below them, there is an animal running away from them, this seems to be a hunt The animal was like an ox that has rhino characteristics, a strong sharp horn stood on the tip of the nose, and its short fur was whole gray, with well-developed limbs, a strong tail, and a round head. It looks like a combination of a group of animals. Suddenly, a young boy stretched out a hand and gathered jade green mana upon his palm, jade green mana started whirling and forming a finger-sized needle-like projectile, it cycling with raging wind and swift to his middle finger as if ready to shoot. "Alright, cyclone needle... aim... and... fire!" The young boy shouted. The boy snaps his middle finger and launches the cyclone needle. The cyclone needle is shot out at high speed, and the strong wind roars past, flying close to the ground and even lifting the turf. The cyclone needle got closer and closer to the prey, then impaled from the belly to the heart and penetrated the head. The prey was splattered with blood, its eyes turned white and fell to the ground motionless. As for the cyclone needle, it lost its mana replenishment and immediately dissipated. "Aha! I got him!" The boy shouted happily. "Good job, Saze! You have slain 7 of kaulk now, impressive!" Moty gives a compliment. Seeing the kaulk lying on the ground motionless and lifeless, Saze felt a bit of nausea but also became stronger. This animal wasn''t weak, it was strong and muscular and it''s actually hard to kill kaulk due to the thick and hard skin that protects its body well. Moty also knew that Saze couldn''t defeat kaulk by himself, so he brought other spiders to help. What''s more, kaulk is a social animal. The reason why this kaulk was alone was that Moty used her third-stage aura to scare them so there would be single ones. "But let me take a rest first, I need to recover my mana." Saze said lightly. With that, he sat instantly and swept off the sweat on his forehead with the back of his hand. He also raises his head and looks at the sky, the eye rune of the day is located at the center of the sky, it is noon right now. "Gruu gruu!" Three medium spiders jump off from the tree and land beside Saze. "Yeah, fair enough, you should take a rest. After all, you just did training with me and slain 7 kaulks this morning." Moty said lightly. "Moty, are we just heading to the east? Why don''t we go in another direction? Maybe north will be better or something new." Saze asked. "Nope, we are not heading north, there is more dangerous because its more deeper, the more deeper the more dangerous." Moty shakes her head. "Ah, okay... but I want to know that, what is the center of the forest? You said the deeper the more dangerous, will there be a lord of the forest?" Saze asked with excitement, two eyes gleaming with curiosity light. "Ugh... there is no lord of this forest but the center of this vast forest is a huge hole, a very very big and also very very deep hole. The size of that hole may be... hundredfolds of the ruined palace." Moty thought deeply and said. Saze took a hard gulp and didn''t expect that huge also a question came to mind with confusion but after thinking about it, he chose not to ask. With a comfortable breeze blowing and the warm temperature, Saze closed his eyes comfortably and enjoyed it. The flowers and plants swayed in the wind, and the three spiders next to him also lay on him to rest. Suddenly, Saze felt a slight pain on his forehead, when he opened his eyes, he saw that it was Moty flicking his forehead. He gently rubbed his forehead. "Ugh... why?" He asked "What do you mean why? Here is a forest, there are many crises hiding everywhere and you are still enjoying with your eyes closed, maybe the next time you open your eyes you will find yourself in heaven." Moty laughed because of anger. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. Saze was enlightened by this, he touched his nose and tried to hide his embarrassment. What Moty said was right. He couldn''t refute it, so he simply admitted his mistake and apologized. "I''m sorry! I won''t do it again." Even though Saze apologized, he still had a smile on his face. "Alright, are you done resting now? I think we can go for another round." Moty chuckle. "Ah, yes, I''m done! Let''s go!" Saze said happily. The prerequisite for restoring mana is that you cannot fight. Mana cannot be restored during fighting, so you must cherish your mana and not use it randomly when fighting. However, you can still absorb other''s mana by taking the enemy''s arcane attack. A few seconds later, five more figures were shuttled through the woods, heading east and looking for the next prey. As they moved eastward, Saze killed more prey, including kaulks, as well as other dangerous animals like a four-eyed python and a giant fire-breathing lizard. In this way, they hunted until nearly evening and then decided to go back. The three spiders dragged all the prey aside to sort it out, while Saze and Moty walked quite far away with some of the prey to choose a good place to roast them. Although the three spiders were not big, they were able to carry a lot of prey, and there were some remaining prey that they couldn''t carry away, so Moty started roasting them with flame arcane. "Let''s eat, an afternoon tea without tea." Moty focuses on controlling the fire. "Heh ok, I bring those three spiders come here to eat with us." Saze said lightly and headed in the direction of those spiders. Saze trotted all the way to where three spiders were handling their prey, but there was no trace of the three spiders on the prey that was wrapped in spider silk. Suddenly, an orb of orange mana formed a fiery fireball in the bush behind Saze and shot it directly at him! The moment it is launched, the flames instantly burn the bush to ashes and the fireball quickly enlarged as it flew. When Saze turned around, he found a fireball as big as his body flying towards him. Saze acted instantly and subconsciously and used arcane magic to avoid. Suddenly a gust of wind gathered at his feet and helped him up. "Wind step!" Saze shouted in mind. Suddenly a gust of wind gathered at his feet and helped him up. With a thought and a little mana, the wind at his feet took him back to the side to avoid the huge fireball. "Who the hell was there!" Saze shouted angrily. Boom! There was only a huge explosion in response to Saze. The shock wave at that moment almost knocked him down. When he looked back, he found that the huge fireball seemed to hit a tree and then exploded. The scope of the explosion was not small, and the wrapped prey had melted. "This is definitely the second stage!" Saze gulp and said in mind. Although the flames behind his back were hot, there was cold sweat on Saze''s back. "Gruu!" With that, a spider figure comes out from the top and then blasts out a poisonous black needle. It was one of the three spiders, the spider shot a poisonous needle from the mouth to a bush and landed before Saze. When the poisonous needle was inserted, the bush shook a bit and then let out a scream. "Ahh!" It was a voice from a girl. "This brute! How dare you hurt me?! I will rip you to shreds, you ugly monster!" The girl shouted and charged towards the spider. At this moment, Saze also sees the girl''s appearance. She is surely a teenager that older than Saze a little bit, her face has exquisite features, fair skin, and brown long hair but her face twitches from the anger and pain in her arm which makes her seem an ugly girl. She wore a crimson attire with a great line design and a badge on her chest. The poisonous black needle has pierced her skin and is bleeding but her head was carried away by anger. Just when the spider was ready to attack again, Saze attacked the girl first. The jade green mana formed a cyclone needle on his fingertips and shot it directly to the girl. "Cyclone needle!" Saze shouted. The girl was in disdain when she saw the green whirlwind needle pointing towards her head. She stops and raises her arms and opens her palms as if casting a spell but nothing happens. She was shocked and tried to dodge the cyclone needle but it was too late. The girl closed her eyes subconsciously and just when the needle was going to hit her head an arrow suddenly hit the cyclone needle, the cyclone got interrupted and dissipated instantly. "What...?!" Saze subconsciously look in the direction where the arrow comes from. But at this time a rapid footstep sounded behind Saze. Saze''s mind rang with an alarm bell, and a strong sense of crisis filled his mind. His thoughts flashed quickly, and then he used Wind Step to quickly move to the left. His intuition seemed to tell him that the left side was safe. "Gru! Gru!!" The spider shouted to Saze. Before Saze figured out what the spider meant, a cold metal blade touched his neck. Saze quickly realized that was a sharp knife and there was a person behind him. "Heya~ Little clumsy boy, where are you running at? You enjoy the hunt, right? How about being hunt?" A very magnetic female voice sounded behind Saze. "Hahaha! Sophia, you got him! Nice one!" A laughter burst out from the direction where the arrow came from. A black hair male teenager comes out behind the tree with a mocking smile at Saze. He has a black wooden bow and arrow in his hand. The bow looks extraordinary and some parts are made of blue crystal. He wore a brown robe and white culottes. Saze didn''t look at the black hair boy but asked the girl behind him while placing a sharp knife on his neck. "Is that... Illusion arcane? You use that on me to let me think the left side is safe and the footstep is also fake, right?" Saze asked. "Hm? Yeah, seems you''re not too dumb." The girl chuckled. Just when Saze was about to ask more, the brown-haired girl spoke first, but her voice didn''t sound right. "H-Hey...! I feel dizzy..." The brown hair girl fainted after speaking.
