《Star wars : Heroes Burn Forever. ( Les Héros Brûlent Eternellement )》 I. Born in the dark When she opened her eyes, she didn''t know where she was or who she was, all she knew was that she was a very young child, a baby but she was well aware of her surroundings. The girl holding her was not her mother, but one of the orphans from the slums who had picked her up from the street and was doing her best to take care of her. Her name was Mila Vosa and she was only 12 years old, but she had decided to take the risk of taking care of a child. Mila had named the child Komari Vosa, this name sounded strange to the child because Komari Vosa was the name of an apprentice of Jedi Master Dooku. How did she know? A series of lightning bolts, a strange mixture of dreams, memories or prophecies, struck her without her understanding their origin. She didn''t feel like she had a previous life and yet she had a lot of knowledge about a world that didn''t exist and about the future of her illness. She was Komari without really being Komari. True, Komari, about a month old, on all fours in a makeshift crib in a dilapidated slum shack, hidden between several networks of pipes, got up as best she could and then reached for a half-eaten cereal bar. Nothing happened, the cereal bar didn''t move a millimetre. Komari made several equally unsuccessful attempts, but she didn''t let it get her down and tried again for several hours. Her frustration grew but she didn''t let it get her down, it was certainly not easy to control the force. If she stuck to what her memories or dreams told her, she had to empty herself and feel the strength, so Komari closed her eyes to try to perceive the force. She felt it, it was like a flood that surrounded everything, like feeling the wind blowing in your hair, in your neck. The cereal bar flew gently into her hand, she was proud, she had succeeded and could enjoy herself despite her lack of teeth. Komari didn''t really understand her situation in this world and despite her efforts, her mind was regularly parasitized by her childlike reflexes over which she had no control. She hated not having control over her basic needs, pooping, sleeping and eating, even if she managed to stand on all fours or get up from time to time. When her body or mind was too tired, she would start crying without being able to stop until her mother took her in her arms to rock her. She didn''t understand why, but being in her mother''s arms was a real joy, a hot pig where she could forget everything. "You''re really not normal." Mila noticed, catching her trying to leave the makeshift crib to find something to eat when she was only a few months old. Komari looked at his mother from the top of the crib before slowly walking back down, muttering indignantly "bahbha bah". She was grabbed by her mother''s hands who snuggled her against herIf you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "If you''re that energetic, let''s go for a walk around town." It was the first time her mother had taken her out of the house, the streets of the base town were dirty, plunged into perpetual darkness illuminated on rare occasions by the artificial glow of crackling neon lights. The walls oozed dirt and decay, accentuated by the sweltering tropical climate that inhabited the planet. The exposed pipes would release jets of steam and other toxic fumes. The smell there was a mixture of sewage dump, toxic steam, and decomposing bodies. But if a life developed abundantly with markets and stalls, Komari observed with interest the exchange of survival rations for scrap metal of all kinds. She noticed both criminals and honest people from the top of her adoptive mother''s arms. Their world was located, from what she understood, in Hutt space, it was Nar-Shaddaa, the capital of the Hutt and a city of crime, one of the great cities in the galaxy where everything could be sold and found. The place where she lived was just one of thousands of slums dominated by the gigantic Hutt towers, it was so insignificant that their area had no name. Deep in thought, Komari finally noticed that her mother was shaking and speaking in a frightening voice to two individuals she couldn''t see. "Silence, dirty, if I tell you to undress, you will undress." roars the first one in an aggressive voice. "You''re one, you should be used to it," said the second voice with a hint of sadism. "Hurry up or your child will be the one to serve as our ............. ?. "Lose yourselves, you sick people!" cried his mother in a trembling voice, still trembling. Komari may have been just a baby and had no blood relationship to Mila, but she was still his mother. They dared to threaten his mother?! Komari''s inner voice roared as she felt a boiling rage rise within her. She felt the force boil with her like a furious wind, a blow throwing her mother to the ground. Komari came across a pile of garbage, she heard Mila''s screams as the two men tore her clothes. She managed to sit up and saw one of them undo his pants with a smile on his face. Fury took hold of her again, carried away by her anger, her hand went up, her little point began to close. She heard the buzzing of blood pounding her times, as well as a strange sensation like the memory of a pleasant sensation. The two men put their hands to their throats, surprised by the pressure exerted. Komari raised her hand higher, guided by the flood of forces she felt, she felt their fear, their terror as she had felt their sadistic pleasure. His fist closed, their necks broke with a sharp sound of dead wood. They stopped moving, their bodies still suspended in the air by force. Killing had been so easy that Komari realized that "it''s almost easier than pulling the granola bar towards me," she thought. She contemplated the corpses realizing that she had felt little emotion when they died, certainly she had felt anger when they had attacked but there she had not felt disgust or fear of her act. Not even guilt. "Have I lost my feelings or has strength reduced them?" she wondered but she rejected the idea that she knew she was happy with her mother, curious and gluttonous, she was not lacking in feelings. No, she thought her reaction should be closer to a psychopathic disorder, but it remained to be determined to what extent. "Wait, what is a psychopathic disorder?" she thought to herself, surprised and frightened by her brain''s reasoning. His mother, Mila, was still on the ground, sobbing, unaware of the two corpses being forcibly hung up, seeing her cry like this, Komari felt tears welling up in his eyes. "Mommy" she managed to articulate by walking a little on Mila before falling back on all fours, easier to move. She hugged her adoptive mother who took her in her arms while still sobbing. "Sorry my darling for being a bad mother," she sobbed and then saw the bodies hanging. Her gaze then fell on her daughter snuggled up to her, Mila had seen things, she knew that the legends about the Jedi''i had some truth but she didn''t think that Komari possessed their magic. It was known that the Jedi''i took children with magic from their family, who would never see them again, and she was determined to protect her daughter. II. The loss of innocence This incident revealed Komari''s powers to her mother, but the latter, after the initial surprise, gave her a good spanking to Komari''s great misfortune. Understanding that it was she who was devouring their precious cereal bars. This humiliating and degrading act reminded Komari that if she did not know her mental age, she was a child physically unable to escape the reactions of a child despite her maturity and that there was nothing more terrifying than her angry mother. She had to promise not to use her powers to hurt others, unless her life or that of her loved ones was in danger. On the other hand, she could train in their house, which would avoid attracting attention and Mila had decided to teach her to read Basic without realizing that Komari already knew it without knowing how. Unlike the other children in the family, Komari did not like to mess around or play, preferring instead to meditate on mastering the force. A particularly difficult exercise was to assemble and disassemble objects of all types using only the force. At times, she occupied her brothers and sisters by making toys fly around them. Time passed quickly, she was five years old and had spent the last five years training to master the force. She had decided to ignore her visions and flashes of knowledge, preferring to simply live her family life. Komari preferred the relative comfort of her home to the terrible omens that her dreams showed her if she decided to follow this little path that encouraged her to explore the galaxy. Life in the slums of Nar Shadda was extremely hard for the family which included Mila, Farique and Bilas as adults and a dozen children like Komari that they had decided to adopt. This kind of thing was not uncommon in the slums, groups of children formed to protect themselves and survive. Mila was forced to prostitute herself to provide for their needs, as did many of the girls her age in the area, while Farique and Bilas were forced to engage in theft and trafficking of all kinds. Very quickly, Komari had to do the same. She skillfully slipped between passers-by to relieve them of their wallets or infiltrated warehouses to steal equipment. She had no choice, she had to survive, the galaxy was merciless with the weak. When she was six, Mila gave her a vibro-blade that she had obtained from one of her clients. It was the first and last gift she received from Mila who was killed a few months later by a client who belonged to a gang. Komari had never felt such a sense of loss. She had gone to pick up her mother as usual after work. In the pouring rain, Komari had waited several hours for Mila to come out. Her delay didn''t worry her, because in this profession, working overtime was common. A bad feeling began to germinate in her when after 3 hours there was no sign of life. Mila had never let her wait so long. Then, she felt this strange icy sensation rise from the back of her neck to her skull. Komari advanced in the rain, guided only by this faint echo in the strength she felt, at the turn of an alley, she saw her. Her mother was lying on the ground, her arms scattered like a doll whose strings had been cut. Mila''s always smiling face was swollen as if she had been hit again and again. On her bare chest had been engraved with a knife the symbol of one of the branches of a major gang. Komari fell to her knees next to her mother, she struggled not to give in to the distress that tore her apart, but even her rational mind could not overcome the pain she felt. With delicacy, she arranged her mother''s limbs, with a gentle hand, she smoothed her hair, ignoring the trash that littered the street. The one who had raised her like her own daughter, who had fed her with her meager reserves, had suddenly disappeared. With her died a part of Komari, that childish joy she felt at the idea of ??seeing her mother again, of snuggling against her in search of comfort! Her mind was struck by visions, if she had already had visions of her possible futures, this was the first time she saw a vision of the past. Komari clearly saw the bar where her mother worked, then she saw the satisfied smile of the person responsible for her mother''s death as he hit her. A whisper began to germinate in her mind, her fingers curled into a fist and her cries turned into an animalistic growl. The whispers only grew louder, becoming angry screams "Kill them!! Kill them!". Her mind buzzed and suddenly, she silently rushed towards the club where her mother. Her hand gripped her vibro-blade which was huge in her child''s hands. She could no longer reason, she no longer wanted to think, her actions were guided by her instinct. The galaxy was dangerous, she had known it since birth even before the visions struck her, her mother had always protected her as best she could from this reality. The brutality of this world forced those who were exposed to it to mature quickly or die. Her mother had had to sell herself to survive, her uncles had to steal to survive. The weight of this life pushed many people to seek anything that could allow them to escape this reality, Farique drank while Bilas took drugs, her mother had always escaped it for the good of Komari and her brothers. At that moment, Komari was no longer a child, she had just lost her last vestiges of innocence. The loud music in the club couldn¡¯t override the voices in her head, the blinding light effects illuminating the club couldn¡¯t distract her from her target. He was there in the VIP area with a new hooker on his arm, a shoddy suit, but already much more expensive than anything the others were wearing. Tasteless bracelets on his wrists jingled, strangely, Komari could hear their metallic jingle through the music and the screams. She advanced through the crowd of dancers who circled around her, oblivious to the six-year-old who was slowly walking towards the VIP area. Komari took a breath, pushing back the voices and her most primal urges for a moment. Yes, she was going to kill him, but she wanted to be in control of herself at that moment and not prey to her urges. The force flowed around her like a fresh breeze, a breeze that could become a storm. The voices became more and more incomprehensible, blending into a whisper like a moan. A waiter at the bar frowned as he saw the glass in his hands suddenly crack, then the bottles of alcohol behind him began to explode one after the other. Then the neon lights exploded, sending impressive sparks all around, plunging the club into chaos. "Fuck, what the hell is going on!!" roared one of the VIPs, sending the girl on his lap flying, he didn''t know why, but his instincts warned him of danger. He had been around enough to know how to listen to him. He signaled to his men to prepare for trouble while taking out his blaster. He scanned the crowd but couldn''t identify the threat. Two of his men moved forward to observe the crowd. Suddenly they were thrown, not swept brutally against the tables, the sound of their spines breaking was clearly audible. Komari after sweeping the two men, turned his attention to the other three who remained without stopping walking towards them. They raised their weapons, but his hand closed, interrupting their gesture, freezing them in the moment. They saw a child with white hair and fluorescent green eyes come out of the crowd. She advanced slowly with a sad face, one could guess that she had recently cried. Each of her steps seemed to add more pressure on what was holding them still. No matter how hard they pushed, they couldn''t move. Komari stopped a meter away from them, her strangely disturbing eyes passed over them for a long time, then slowly, she turned her fist. Panicked, the two subordinates saw something firmly push their own weapons towards their heads, they screamed and put all their energy into trying to control their bodies, throwing panicked glances at their leader. A blaster shot to the head had the gift of exploding the entire back of the skull. The lifeless bodies of his subordinates fell with a dull thud to the ground after having sprayed it with their blood. His previously white suit was slowly stained with their fluid. Komari raised his vibro-blade which glowed despite the dim light. "Wait please, you don''t have to do THAT!!!" he yelled, struggling unsuccessfully as Komari approached him. "I''ll give you money all you want!!! " he pleaded as the blade was about to sink into his stomach. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. The movement suddenly stopped and he let out a reliable sigh of relief as she put her blade away. Komari moved away from him to pick up a bottle from the ground to read the label. "My mother, I want my mother," she said before pouring the bottle over him. "What, your mother? What are you talking about? What are you doing here? Stop." Komari pulled a lighter out of the pockets of one of the corpses, "that''s better," she growled, not wanting to stain her mother''s only gift with her killer''s blood. "I want my mother and you kill her," the alcohol ignited, devouring the man who screamed at the top of his lungs without being able to move. She watched him burn until the end, only deciding to leave after the entire club had caught fire. The death of her mother was a huge blow to her family. Mila was the most stable of the three adults in the family. Farique and Bilas were deeply saddened by her disappearance, she was the soul of their group and on a more material level, the one who brought food. For her part, Komari, once her anger had subsided, had to swallow her tears and get more involved with her uncles to feed her family. A kind of pimp had approached them to offer his services, but her uncles had thrown him into a waste pipe. "Komari, don''t worry, we''ll manage to feed you and your brothers, on your side, watch over them okay." Bilas asked her as he watched the pimp try to hold on to the drain pipe while screaming as Farique pushed him. "Uncle, you two won''t earn half of what Mom earned." she replied before adding "and your addictions are very real." referring to their drug and alcohol problem. "I threw my products away." she gave him an incredulous look, but he wasn''t joking. "and Farique did the same thing.". The latter, after throwing the pimp away, comes towards her. He had always been the taciturn one of the gang but also the most dangerous from what Komari had learned. He bent down to her level to pat her on the head "I don''t know what you did with your strange magic, but thank you." he took a breath then continued. "Alone we can''t protect the family, so I''m sorry to have to hand this burden over to you. Komari use all the means you deem fit to protect your brothers, use your magic, use your fists.". "Farique stop!!" Bilas exclaimed "what?! you want to preserve her? look at her eyes! You know she''ll kill again to protect her brothers!" Farique yelled, looking at her friend. "I blame myself for not having been able to protect your innocence, Komari. But now, we must protect your brothers and sisters." Komari nodded agreeing to her uncle''s words, she would do anything for her family but she had also noticed that her current strength was far from enough for that. If she paid attention to her visions the galaxy was filled with people with abilities far superior to hers. Until now she had mostly relied on strength to neutralize threats but that was not enough. "Uncle I want to learn to fight." She asked him in a soft voice while playing with her fingers with her vibro-blade. Farique observed Komari thoughtfully before launching herself "I know people at higher levels who really know how to fight they run a weapons room. You will go see them.". To effectively protect her family Komari had to learn to fight whether bare-handed, with a baster or with a blade, it was the least difficult of what Farique had taught her because there were plenty of weapons rooms and practitioners of various martial arts. On Nar Shadda, the city of crime par excellence, there were bounty hunters, mercenaries, hitmen and other scum of the galaxy. While waiting for contras or to pass the time, some of them made their knowledge available to those who were willing to pay to learn. There were therefore weapons rooms at almost every level of the city except in the lowest levels. On the other hand, Komari was aware that her mastery of the force was at best imperfect, in fact chaotic. In the absence of an individual capable of showing her how to do it, she had decided this time whether to follow her visions and dreams. Some of the fragments of her visions concerned the training or initiation of what the Jedi''i called initiated to the force. She even dreamed of their ancestral rival the Sith teaching their apprentices how to use the force in the same way. Ironically, the two had the same training method, meditation. Except that the Jedi''i seemed to seek inner peace by purging themselves of their emotions. The Sith, on the contrary, sought to rekindle the flames of their passion by remembering their raw emotions. At this point Komari was caught in a dilemma which methods to apply? She had no attachment to the two philosophies that were In the finals she decided to practice both of their methods in turn.
The upper levels were certainly richer than hers but she could still observe the poverty in the alleys. The weapons room indicated by Farique stood before her, its walls were decrepit, there was no external indication that the place was a weapons room. It was the regular flow of individuals of all kinds who entered and left that had guided her. Inside the air was filled with screams and grunts followed by noises of impact, there was a smell of sweat mixed with blood. Sitting in a corner were two people who stood out from the crowd training, instinctively Komari felt that they were among all the people gathered here the most dangerous and by far. The tallest was a Trandoshan she couldn''t tell, next to him stood a woman dressed in armor. She was a Mandalorian there was no doubt about it. Both were representatives of the two most dangerous peoples in the galaxy according to what Komari knew from her dreams and visions. Specialists in hunting, war and death. "Get lost kid!" the Mandalorian growled after Komari introduced herself. Usually that was enough to scare off the curious but she didn''t flinch, taking a step forward instead. "I said train me!" Komari repeated. "No now get lost." the Mandalorian waved her hand away. The Trandoshan tilted his head to the side curiously "why do you want to train here?" he asked her with a strange forked whistle. Komari spread her arms as if to indicate something obvious "to survive. To protect my family." she stared at the Trandoshan "the weak are devoured by the strong!". The reptile had a chuckle, he understood the child''s mentality because his people advocated strength. He had devoured his brothers once he had hatched as their culture wanted. "Arrogant words coming from a child." he pointed to the weapons room where men and women trained as if their lives depended on it. "They know that the price of weakness would be their death but I doubt you really know that. Now go home to your mother little one.". Komari advanced again "train me! I have no money, no property but in exchange I would clean the weapons room every night. And if you refuse I will go see another weapons room, and if they refuse another one until someone accepts! ". His strange fluorescent green eyes shone with a determination bordering on madness, kissing their eyes the Mandalorian could see Komari''s bare feet as well as her patched pants covered in what was drying blood. "Okay, you will wash the weapons room every evening and maintain the weapons, in return you can train here for 2 hours." The Mandalorian declared. The exchange was absolutely not fair but Komari agreed to that. "Well what you''re doing is cleaning the weapons on the rack!" the Trandoshan growled. Komari was not restricted to Rogna and Balk''s weapons room to train and learn, people were generally surprised to see a young child of 6-7 years old ask them to teach her their art and secret but she had a certain talent or stubbornness and was able to take several courses in exchange she cleaned the place.
"Never stay still, kid, never!" Balk, her trainer of Sojo, a Trandoshan martial art using a force staff, shouted at her. "If you stay static then you''re dead! And keep that fucking stick at your fucking solar plexus go!". Komari applied what the trainer asked her to do while paying attention to her balance, the secret of any martial art was the stability and balance of her body. But that was fine talk when you had to run for 1 hour alternating several intense biomechanics exercises. She was out of breath, exhausted and had vomited the little of what her stomach contained at the end of the 15th round. She had trouble lifting the stick because her arms were heavy. The trainer sent her several blows that she parried as best she could but some passed her guard and came to bite her violently. Komari did not react to this pain, preferring to concentrate on the essentials: her opponent and also the perception of her environment. The coach nodded at her lack of reaction, pain was a good thing in the city base, he could secretly admit that he was impressed by the girl''s concentration. Since Komari had arrived, she had been participating in general training at the same stage as the adults. If at first many had laughed at the 6-year-old child that she was, their mockery calmed down when it was obvious that she could keep up with their pace. Her hands were bleeding from hitting sandbags, her palms had remained more than once on the handles of training weapons from practicing the exercises. Komari could be thrown to the ground, knocked out, fainted from exhaustion, she always ended up at one point or another getting up... only to end up on the ground again. It could be said that the kid she was had bled so often on the floors of the rooms she visited that we could talk about kinship between them. The others had come to respect her in silence for her determination but also for her strange talent to be a real sponge. It was enough to show her a movement for her to master it in a few sessions by dint of practice. Komari perceived the loss of concentration of her opponent and took advantage of it to hit him in the left flank which the latter parried in extremis. "And sneaky with that it is very good to continue." but she could not hit him again the stick was very heavy for a child exhausting her quickly. She spent the week training with the stick or the Ter?s-K?si with another trainer who shared the room but when she was not training she went to the next level to steal what she could or to recover abandoned objects. It was amazing what people threw away a lot of what is considered good for the trash is in reality totally functional or reusable with a little elbow grease. Her greatest treasure was a small jet bike, probably a toy of a son of good family, with the help of Bilas she had installed on it a large cylinder engine that she had stolen from a warehouse. As a result, her jet bike sped at full speed through the alleys of the city base, avoiding trash cans and people and passing through extremely narrow passages where most often the sides of her jet bike scraped the walls. More than once she had crashed into a wall or hit an old rusty pipe. But thanks to her bike she could make deliveries for the various gangs, which greatly helped her little family. Komari had met many gang members in the weapons rooms who took advantage of the neutrality of the place to chat. One day she had been asked to help out by transmitting a package, and gradually she had become the neutral transporter of the gangs. Komari had quickly gained a reputation for being very reliable, even going so far as to retrieve the cargo if it was stolen, something carriers generally did not do. III. The job Komari was meditating cross-legged in the small room of one of the club numbers on the lower levels where the transporters and all the criminality of the surrounding levels met. She felt a rat sniffing her before running away in the face of a force impulse, this time Komari had decided to follow the Jedi''i meditation method by purging himself of all his emotions to become one with the force. She could hear the echo of people moving around the level. The force allowed her to feel people for a hundred meters, but when she meditated, her perception stretched for miles. This kind of mediation was very practical when she wanted to find someone or something. Usually people let her meditate in peace in her corner, well that was especially true after she cut off the hands of a guy who had wanted to disturb her. She was eight years old and, like all street children, she was much more mature for her age and much more hardened. Thanks to her job as a transporter, she could most often eat her fill, even if the food was not really good. All the food on the lower level was nothing but infamous nutrient blocks or dead rats. As for the water it was extremely polluted, the alcohols sold in the clubs were in fact a chemical mixture many times cut with gasoline. The last two years of training had been extremely beneficial to her because she could stand up to and defeat any adult without too much difficulty, which was crucial in her environment. Komari was the only 8-year-old transporter who could transport valuables such as spices or sensitive items normally worked for gang-affiliated and older carriers. What appealed besides her reliability and courage was that she was not affiliated with any gang, she always remained neutral in gang conflicts, which often designated her to serve as a messenger between warring gangs. She had attached to her waist to a quality belt, steal her vibro-blade souvenir of Mila as well as a blaster offered by a gang leader to whom she had done a favor by killing one of his men who had tried to overtake them both. He was huge in her child''s hands but he was also very precise, which meant that she was often underestimated. Komari didn''t think she had any talent in the shootout given the few opportunities she had. The price of a blaster''s energy cell was a luxury she couldn''t afford, but the object was still a deterrent and in the narrow corridors there was little chance of missing her target. "Komari, Komari!" Calling a small way, Komari broke his meditation and opened the door of the room to find Simon, the youngest of her family behind her. "Hey Simon, who is it? Shouldn''t you be home? She asked, rubbing his head horribly. He had become her light to always smile, his overflowing curiosity had led them to explore every corner of their level. Each of their escapades was a new adventure away from the problems of everyday life. "There are members of Zolan''s gang at the Komari house, they want to see you and threaten Farique and the others," Simon said in his little voice, trying to contain his anguish for him. Without really succeeding because she detected fear in her voice. Komari frowned, Zolan''s Gang had a very bad reputation in the circle, even with other Gangs, because they never respected the rules common to all gangs. Moreover, they had just crossed one, never involving or threatening the family or even breaking into the family''s living space. This gang was foreign by the standards of the lower level, information that she had been able to get here and there she had learned that this gang was the remnants of a gang of the higher level whose boss Hutt had lost a turf war. To escape the usual clean-up that followed the death of a sector Hutt chief, they had fled to the lower levels with the ambition of establishing themselves. On Nar Shadda the Hutts were the law, their cartel ruled the planet and then subdivided into sub-branches by clans and level. The youngest of their clans were given the leadership of a lower level that he controlled through his criminal networks. He is then free to try to dominate the neighboring Hutts in order to gain power to then climb in the hierarchy and eventually rise to the next level. In the end, Nar shadda was a vast training ground for young Hutt, and the rest were just pawns in their little power games. There was one exception to this, the lower levels below level 50 was nicknamed the undercity, the Hutts had no interest in it, no power because they were too far from the surface to have any interest. Komari and his family inhabited level 88, one of the last habitable levels, the other levels being either infested with strange monsters or totally underwater. Until now, Komari had only seen 5 times the light of day when she climbed to the upper level, what she had mistaken for rain was actually a mixture of pipe discharge and condensation created by the engines of the ships of the loading docks from levels 45 to 50. She entrusted Simon to the bartender threatening him with the worst atrocities if he did not take care of his brother and then returned home at full speed. Zolan''s gang members were absolutely not discreet, they were all around his house, you could see the difference between them and the local gang members. They had many laser weapons in good condition, blaster rifles as well as some armor. The local gangs were limited in terms of blasters, the majority of the fights they fought took place with knives. Komari didn''t know what Zolan''s gang wanted from her, but since they were at her house and holding her family back, there was no point in her being discreet. The voices in her head whispered to her to be careful, but she pushed them away. When she arrived in front of her house she was violently knocked to the ground and dragged before Zolan himself. The latter was the son of a good family in the upper town, his dress denoted that of his men by its luxury. Instinctively Komari knew that he was a bad person, he was not physically strong but the gleam of sadism in his eyes made him understand that he was having a good time hurting others. "So here is the famous Komari Vosa. You know people are full of praise for you, you are reputed to fulfill all your contras no matter if the merchandise has been stolen from the Hutts or from the Mandalorians or even if you have to get it back into guarded places. He exclaimed when he saw her with a small smile on his face. Komari dusted off her clothes with the dust before answering her, a sign that she didn''t give him any respect. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. "Yes, I''m Komari Vosa and I guess you have something to carry. Or to go flying. ? "Yes, but it''s because she''s perceptive." "Then make a request in the rules instead of bringing you back to me with your men and threatening my family." She gave him the finger, not necessarily the best thing to do when someone threatened his family but it allowed him to decompress. "Ha my dear Komari, I was told that you were extremely intelligent and mature for your age, but I see that this is not the case. I have indeed a job for you that differs a little from what you usually do. Zolan''s suave, yet sadistic, voice rose with a gesture, he motioned to one of his men, who struck Komari on the back, throwing her to the ground again. "Come to the point quickly," she said, grimacing before getting up cautiously. "There is a ship at Pier 114, the Fierfly, and there is on board in its navigation survey information on the movements of a certain Senator Bachure. I want you to bring me his information and everything you can find about the senator in exchange, I wouldn''t kill your little family of stinking rats. he ordered. There was no room for negotiation, no room for manoeuvre, he used weaker than him to take risks. Komari knew that her small size and reputation had worked against her because the only way to discreetly pass through the security of the ultra-secure Pier 114 was through the narrow pipes that led to the void under the landing platform of the ships. The place was an ultra-secure port with a real army capable of vaporizing Zolan''s gang. Located on a gigantic tower that pierced the clouds it was the garage of all the important people of Nar shadda.... and Komari was to infiltrate her. Climbing to the surface took half a day by public transport but it was expensive. No, the easiest and cheapest way was to go up to level 44 and hang on to a cargo ship that went up. With the traffic and depending on the ship, the journey could take about twenty hours to get back into the transit tunnels. We had to hang on because the winds in the heart of the tunnels were strong enough to tear a man from the ground. Komari had spotted a transporter going up through a tunnel not far from the area where platform 114 was located. She had made a detour to Rogna and Balk''s weapons room to retrieve some equipment they had in stock. The latter were not on the planet because a contra had sent them for several months to the core worlds. If they were the Komari wouldn''t have hesitated to ask for their help. What she had retrieved from them was a hacking kit capable of getting her through the service doors leading to the pipes. Komari had also taken a homemade bomb that she had made with Rogna when the latter had started showing him how to make explosives a few months ago. She just hoped that the bomb wasn''t going to explode in her hands, not being at all sure that she could control the firing. She was lucky on the surface, it was raining showers which would reduce the visibility of the guards and significantly affect the detection sensors. Unfortunately this would make his progress even more dangerous because the pipes were filled with water and the sockets suspended under the platform extremely slippery. Accessing the pipes had been child''s play, she had cracked the encoding of the door in a few seconds. Under the glowing setting sun, Komari began to climb the underside of the platform of the statio port. The holds she could hold on to was limited, Komari grabbed with all her strength the few fasteners located under the platform she had already almost fallen four times during her progress. She could make out the lights of the base city below her as night began to break. It was with real relief that she hoisted herself onto the platform, dragging herself like a slug so as not to be blown by the wind that was howling in her ears. She paused to catch her breath, the progress above had taken more than two hours and a good part of her energy. A single mistake would have meant a fatal dive. The Fierfly was located in the center of the platform between two luxury pleasure boats, Komari was quickly able to reach it, the potential guards being sheltered from the rain. The Fierfly was a mix between a senator''s ceremonial ship and a luxury ship thanks to the forcing keys given by Zolan, she had no trouble getting inside the ship, not unhappy to be able to take shelter from the rain. It was probably the most luxurious ship she had ever seen, it was worth being a senator, she said to herself as she climbed to the cockpit, it took her a few minutes to find what she was looking for, the central computer. It was from here that she was able to access the ship''s information and especially the navigation survey as well as the captain''s note. Komari found what she was looking for when she came across the ship''s navigation history between several planets. She then went to the senator''s room, the luxury of the room was frightening, according to her., Komari almost had to squint his eyes not to be dazzled by the bright reflections on the decorations. The senator''s personal terminal took her about twenty minutes to hack before she noticed that a computer-it stuck in a corner with the said passwords. Upon entering the terminal, she quickly looked for anything that could be compromising to blackmail the senator according to Zolan''s request. What she found was edifying, the senator was dirtier than the lower levels of Nar shadda. He was involved in everything, insider crime, corruption, blackmail, arms sales, sex trafficking and so on. While searching further Komari came across something unexpected, in a hidden file were the bank details of all the senators'' accounts, personal account and secret account. There was even on one account the revenues diverted from the trade taxes of his planet. Komari felt her heart start beating fast when she came across the senator''s passwords who seemed to be afraid of forgetting them. It was his chance to offer a better life to his family, with this money they could leave Nar shadda to go live in a more peaceful world. Why not on an agricultural world? Farique had always dreamed of having a farm and Simon would surely like it. Komari calmed down and copied all the documents onto two cipher diskettes that were lying around. On both of them she placed a password that only she had as insurance. But the key she was going to give to Zolan contained only something to blackmail the senator while the one she looked for on her contained all the information, including banking information. Quickly, she had all the information erased from the senator''s terminal, becoming the only one to master her secrets. Two distant presences touched her, it was imperceptible yet she did not like it. His instincts told him that something was going to happen. It was time to leave, she took the way out, it was still raining when she got off the ship. So much so that she did not see the two individuals dressed in a brown cape facing her. One was tall, he had a noble posture and his features were charming. The other was small, the size of a child, or even smaller. "I told you, Yaddle, there was a beautiful rat in Bort." Says the greatest to the smallest. "That''s amazing, Dooku, I didn''t feel it at all, you were right," replied the smaller one, named Yaddle. That''s when Komari saw them, she stopped because she had heard their discussions, Yaddle, Dooku were names that had resonated strangely in her mind for years. She knew without knowing who they were two Jedi''i masters... no Jedi, the question was what were they doing here in front of her, in front of Senator Bachure''s ship. "Young girl, give us what you stole from this ship." Dooku asked with great politeness but his tone did not suffer from any refusal as he held out his hand. Behind them appeared the guards alerted by the Jedi, they pointed their weapons at Komari while shouting orders to the contrary. She couldn''t not move while lying down while raising her hands and crossing them at the same time. The latter was stuck, she couldn''t face two Jedi masters, let alone several armed guards, but she couldn''t give up either because her family''s life was at stake. The presence of the Jedi was unexpected for her and upset her plan which was to leave without a noise after her theft and to quickly deliver the requested data. "You''re going to give me what you stole!" Dooku repeated with a strange intonation in the voice. Komari wanted to give it to her, it was hypnotic, but she resisted his imperative by shaking her head to chase away the last mist in her mind. "I thank you for this Jedi solicitation but no, I''m going to keep what I stole because I have an imperative need for it, life depends on it." Dooku raised an eyebrow, surprised by the girl''s resistance, Komari began to move nonchalantly to the side to the right and then to the left. "You lower level rat don''t move!" A guard yelled. "Give what you have taken and we will be sympathetic." The guards were not as calm as the Jedi because the presence of a thief on the dock could cause them problems with the senator or the rich merchants. Worse, the Hutts, their employer, could decide to make an example of them. Komari smiled, the idiots they were hindering each other at the risk of hurting each other by shooting. Her seemingly random movements were intended to destabilize them and not make her a static target. As the guards shouted threats, Komari gently pulled a fumigant grenade from her belt that she had bought on the black market in anticipation of such a situation. The cylindrical body of the grenade slipped at the foot of the guards who looked at it with a thunder. When she exploded, Komari was already rushing, sneaking through the haze of fumigent between the guards, she had almost reached storage crates to climb on to reach the roof of a hangar that a firm hand grabbed her shoulder. "Not so fast, my child." Dooku said without her being able to perceive his presence. But he was surprised by Komari''s reaction who turned on herself in a totally controlled movement, twisting her wrist at the same time and thus forcing her to let go. In the same movement, she moved Dooku''s foot with her foot, controlling his balance, causing him to fall to the ground. The movement had only taken half a second and had taken advantage of the Jedi''s inattention. Without asking for anything else, she fled, climbing onto the hangar to jump on the roof of a house beyond the barrier of Pier 114 with the guards following her, who were waking up from their stupor. Dooku literally stayed on his ass for a while until Yaddle came to pull him out of his astonishment. "Are you okay with Dooku?" she asked, just as surprised as he was to find him with his buttocks on the ground. "This kid knocked me down without strength using mine instead and..." She didn''t seem to panic as much as I would have thought given the situation. ? A series of blaster shots comes from their exchange. "They''re going to kill her, they have to be arrested." Yaddle scolded but was stopped in her tracks by Dooku. "I''ll take care of the girl, you''ll find out about Senator Bachure''s movements." Without waiting for his answer, he rushed in pursuit of the guards. IV. The fall Komari was running on the roofs of the buildings with all her might, she had managed to leave the tower that housed platform 114 by clinging to a shuttle that was passing nearby. A shot then ricocheted a few centimeters from her hand on the shuttle''s cabin, surprised she let go of her grip and fell on one of the roofs of the upper level. She jumped from the roof where she was standing, avoiding the fire of the guards who had followed her with several light transport shuttles. Screaming, she luckily landed on a fret droid ship, one of those that descended to the lower levels. Another volley of gunfire passed by her, forcing her to duck to dodge the shots. His transport passed by another transport of the same type, Komari took the opportunity to hang on hoping to lose or destabilize his pursuers. Nothing to do, the guards seemed not to want to let go of her, watering the poor automated transport with their pull. She managed to slip onto the automated control station, with her vibro-blade she removed the protection to access the autopilot wiring. With a sharp blow she tore off all the cables, the shuttle immediately lost its system of repulsion. Komari had to hang on so as not to lose the shuttle which was starting to fall at full speed. The howl of the wind in the stationary propulsion and the failure alarm sounded in Komari''s ears. What she was doing was a risky gamble but one that could pay off if she succeeded. She had about fifty levels to pass before returning home. She couldn''t do it with the pursuit of the 2 ships full of guards who were just waiting for an opportunity to catch and kill her. By cutting the repulsor system, she had turned the cargo ship she was on into ordinary pieces of scrap metal falling at a dizzying speed that none of the Spiders pursuing her would try to match. There was a significant chance that it would crash into one of the ships that was traveling in the tunnels'' shipping lanes. But it was a risk to take. What she had ripped off was indeed the primary repulsor system, any ship worth its salt had a backup system that would activate the repulsors after a few minutes. This was enough for their fall to buy him a lot of time. As she clung as best she could to the free-falling cargo ship, she had a moment of doubt. The hoods were not known for their generous donations and appreciation of the rules, what told him that the ship had a backup system? With this realization, Komari is back to screaming thinking about the potential and disastrous fate he was waiting for if the Hutts had been miserly. Luckily for her, the emergency system activated and activated the repulsors, the shuttle went from free fall to a sudden stop that almost caused it to tip overboard. His pursuers, surprised by the rapid deceleration of the shuttle, did not have time to stop and overtook it in a hurry. This was the opportunity Komari had been waiting for, and he threw himself into the void. After a brief fall, she landed on the roof of one of the 2 shuttles that were chasing her. The pilot in his cockpit turned his head to understand the origin of the brief jolt he had felt. "She''s on the roof of the ship!" the pilot of the other shuttle yelled into the radio when he saw Komari. "I don''t see it," his fellow pilot replied. "Get out of the way, make a maneuver." in the words of his comrade, the pilot of the shuttle, what do you mean a brutal yaw maneuver to make the intruder fall. Like one of those parasites that infest the hulls of large cargo ships, Komari clung on with all his might, watching for the right moment to keep them company. This moment arrived with a maneuver a little too brutal which brought the shuttle closer to another shuttle. To avoid the crash, the pilot had to make a crash recovery by deviating to one of the secondary tunnels. This maneuver forced her to decelerate and she took the opportunity to jump on one of the advertising neon lights. The gigantic advertising neon emitted so much light that it was difficult to perceive anyone running overhead. The observers in the shuttle were dazzled by the neon and he could not make out Komari running alongside it. At the end of the neon structure stood one of the access tunnels leading to the terminals that connected the lower sectors. The tunnel is far too small and congested for a shuttle to enter. From where she was on the neon light, she could see the tunnel but not access it because the neon was way too far forward compared to the entrance to the tunnel. But that''s not what Komari was aiming for, no, what she was aiming at was the small security platform that ran along the tunnel. The platform was located 10 M from the edge of the neon and nearly 3 M deeper. "She''s going to try to jump!" exclaimed one of the guards, understanding what she was going to do. "Don''t mess around, she''ll never make it, the distance is way too great," the shuttle pilot tried to contradict him. Arriving at the edge of the neon light, Komari accelerated with all his might. She drew on the strength to jump as far as she could. Under the lights of the neo, alternating between blue, purple and green, Komari felt a moment when time stopped, she could clearly see the platform in front of her. But also the endless abyss that stretched at his feet, the promise of inevitable death. Her feet hit the platform hard and she crashed into the guardrail. The shock took her breath away momentarily and then she looked at the 2 shuttles that were chasing her before giving them a big middle finger. "Catch me that dirty kid!!" yelled the guard leader in their com Link as they woke them up from their dazes. Quickly, the shuttles approached the platform to drop their troops before moving away, the rest of the pursuit was to be done on foot. To survive in the lower levels she had to know how to move on rooftops and walkways, but if Komari was good at this game, she was still a child in front of healthy adults. She could slip from one pipe to another, jump into you to another, her pursuers don''t want to let go of her. At that moment she understood how great the terror the guards felt for their master Hutts was, they preferred to break their necks by falling rather than face the wrath of the Hutts. She was quickly caught by the guards, one of them grabbed her arm, she got rid of him with a simple movement and then hit his skull on a wall. Jumping from a roof she dodged a guard who knocked himself out against a pipe, Another watch here falling on her, unfortunately for him she stuck her vibro-blade in his ribs and used him as a human shield while his comrades unloaded their weapons on them. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. If the wounds she had inflicted on him were not mortal, the one caused by her comrades did indeed dig into her death. Komari knew that she could not continue like this, she quickly exhausted herself, the solution she found was the most radical, she placed her explosive against one of the walls which was forced to take the guards and adjusted the detonator, praying that it would not expose her in her hands. Then to attract the guards she took cover and took out her Blaster, the weapon was still too big for her hands but by wedge it against a support she could have a more than decent accuracy. Engaged in a firefight, the guards did as she expected them to do, they remained static, right where she had placed her explosive. "Shit," one of the guards exclaimed as he stumbled upon the bomb hanging on the wall. The explosion pulverized them for a moment, those who had not been killed instantly were thrown overboard into the void. Rid of their chase, she continued to descend from level to level while remaining on her guard, she didn''t know if everything had continued, had been eliminated. Komari felt a presence behind her, she felt her striker''s hand move. Dooku was once again surprised by the girl''s reaction who parried his movement once again as if she had felt it. He tried several times to catch her but Komari managed to retread her each time, she pushed him away to jump away on a roof much lower down. She almost crashed by narrowly missing the edge of the roof, the perspective seen from the other roof was deceiving. The moment she got up, she saw Dooku jump after her, although he had the strength of the Jedi, he had also underestimated the distance, he just missed the roof and his skull hit the edge ringing it. He quickly came to his senses to notice that he was floating in the areas held by force, his first reaction was that it was Yaddle who had saved him but he remembered that they had separated. His astonished gaze fell on Komari who had his hands outstretched using force to hold him in the threshing floors. Exhausted by her run, she did her best to concentrate on saving the Jedi, slowly sending him to the nearby roof. The latter landed safely on the roof, he slowly got up trying to understand this new data he had about this young child. He hadn''t seen the strength in her until she started using him. "Thank you for your rescue, my young friend," he tilted his head toward her in respect and thanks. "But I must insist, give me the documents you recovered from the senator''s ship." KOMARI smiled sarcastically, "and I feel like I have to turn Jedi down. For me, it''s a matter of life and death, I have no choice. ?. "Someone is threatening you and you use it to retrieve the senator''s information?" Dooku understood, earning him Komari''s acquiescence. The 2 looked at each other on either side of their respective positions, he saw a dirty child with white hair and fluorescent glass eyes who was standing despite her tiredness. Komari distinctly saw for the first time one of the people who haunted this vision and her dreams, she had mixed feelings. Because a small voice in her head whispered to her that this man was going to be her downfall. Yet another told her that her future was not mapped out and that she had to write it, and this man was the gateway. "I encrypted the information I stole from a card. I''m the only one with the password. I''ll try to temporize with Zolan until you get there and then I''ll give it to you. She said before slipping away by jumping into an air duct.
Komari finally arrived at the meeting point planned by Zolan, the latter was sipping a drink while chatting with a fat rich man that Komari could not identify. Zolan''s men were not at all vigilant, she could have slipped between them without any problem. "Zolan!! I have your fucking proof file! She yelled in front of him, which cut him off from the discussion he was having with the fat rich man. He smiled broadly as he motioned for Komari Vosa to come closer to the hand. "Well, we''re finally going to go here. I admit I didn''t believe in your chances. But in the end, who am I to judge a professional. Mathilde exclaimed, putting her hand on her heart and assuming a constrained air. "Okay, you''re happy, but now let''s talk about business. You''re going to release my family and not go near them or else you won''t have your information. She threatened him, playing with the storage key in her hands. Zolan frowned, visibly displeased, "Are you threatening me?" he snapped his fingers and several of these men approached, looking menacingly at Komari. The latter I smile at her "yes I''m taking my precautions. I coded the key so if you want your information you''ll release sir. And once they are released, I will give you everything in this key. ?. You could read on Zolan''s face anger, he was not used to being questioned by weaker or younger people. No, until now, he had never received a negative answer from anyone. But he quickly regained control of these emotions, she felt the sadism rise in the heart of the force. She had a moment of doubt, she had the key, she had the codes of the key, so why was he so sure of himself and why was he getting off the ground. He began to clap his hands at a slow pace in a condescending and theatrical manner. "Bravo, bravo, you have more balls than the majority of my men." Komari really began to worry about the turn of events. Only slowly drift to his Blaster. She felt things were going to go very wrong. "You see, my young friend, when I came to pick you up, I really needed your services," Zolan said, and then put his hand on the shoulder of the fat rich guy next to him. "But, you see, my friend here, Senator Bachure, convinced me to let''s say cooperate with him. So I don''t need your services anymore. ? Before Komari could react she was pierced by several blaster shots, she staggered one back before collapsing to her knees. "You dirty rat, you''re going to join yours." Spat the senator by shooting him several more times. Once his anger had passed, he turned to Zolan, "We have an agreement, comrade." "Happy to work with you," the latter replied. Komari Vosa could hear them congratulating each other on their future cooperation as pain radiated through his body and a veil of darkness began to envelop him. She hadn''t seen it coming, she hadn''t felt it in her visions or had she refused the visions? She didn''t know what to think.
When Komari woke up, she was lying on a pile of garbage in one of the drains on level 89, she had drifted through the sewers until she washed up on a pile of garbage. It was a miracle that she hadn''t drowned on the way. The pain was terrible, almost unbearable, his stomach was pierced by blaster shots that had charred the surroundings of the wound and caused a shock due to the burns. She screamed and screamed for several minutes before trying to keep the pain to herself, doing her best to get back up. Her first attempt was a failure, she collapsed before she could even get on her knees. But the 8-year-old girl with white hair and green eyes persisted until she was able to stand up with the help of the wall. Zolan was to get rid of his body by throwing it into the sewers as gang degenerations had done before him. The first step she took caused an explosion of pain that threw her to the ground again, she screamed while vomiting blood. She didn''t know what miracle she was still alive but she had to quickly find her family before Zolan did the same thing to them. Gritting her teeth, she stood up again and moved forward, each of her steps was a torture but she will have her teeth. The journey to her home was a torture, she dragged herself against the blackberries, leaving a large trail of blood behind her. She fell several times but each time it was up, a hand pressed against her wounds she moved forward little by little. There was absolutely no sign of Zolan''s men in the vicinity of her house, she should have been happy about it, but it could only be a bad sign. Komari hurried as best she could to get home. In her haste, she crashed into the ground and then continued on all fours. By pushing the door of her house with the hope of seeing her brother Simon''s smile, her uncle Farique''s gruff look and the incessant chatter of her other brothers and sisters. Silence welcomes him. Then came the smell of blood. The scene she had in front of her eyes, confirming her worst fears, was brothers and sisters, her uncles, everything was dead, absolutely all. Zola''s men had not been content with killing them, he had humiliated them, everything had been naked, tied by the feet upside down, their heads resting detached from the rest on a table. Simon''s small body was disjointed, with no skull had been smashed against the table, she could make out the tears in his eyes as well as a mute scream on his mouth. Komari You didn''t want to believe it, the scene she had in front of her eyes was almost too insurmountable even for her rational mind. And yet they were all dead, blood was dripping from her wounds but she had totally forgotten her pain. Komari no longer felt anything, she no longer felt pain. She had wanted only the happiness of her family, the happiness of her family. She had always rejected the visions she had, the dreams and prophecies. What did their trial of the galaxy matter to him, what did the war between Sith and Jedi matter to him. What does the Republic or the independent federation matter to him? What did good or evil bring her, she just wanted to be with her family. She had wanted to live in peace, not necessarily in happiness but in peace. Not necessarily dancing but in peace. To keep the promises made to her mother she had not used force on many occasions, she had always relied on her own talents to get out of complicated situations. She had avoided harming others with force, by training herself to control her body and mind. Something broke inside her. A whisper sounded in his ears, a nameless wail, a disembodied moan. A roar of rage. V. Hate Having lost sight of the girl he was pursuing, Dooku joined Yaddle. The latter also has her task here, which was to find Senator Bachure. While exploring the latter''s ship, she had noticed that any information that could have allowed them to pursue him had been erased, surely by the child they had tried to pursue. The senator was accused of numerous crimes and they had been mandated by the supreme chancellor to arrest him. The internal conflicts in the Senate were not to the Jedi Master''s liking. When she saw Dooku without the child, she feared for a moment the worst, that the guards would have killed the child. The Jedi master, whom she knew was always elegant even in the worst circumstances, had these clothes slightly torn here and there. She could see the mark of a shock on the top of his forehead. "Are you okay, my friend?" she asked him, worrying about his health. The latter, immersed in his thoughts, seemed surprised to hear him. "Yes, a small accident, nothing serious, I made an interesting discovery." He told her about his encounter with the young thief and how she had both gotten rid of her pursuers and saved his life. "Are you sure she saved you? Generally we feel strength in individuals and in it we have felt nothing. Yaddle wonders. "And yet I saw her as I see you, she saved my life, otherwise I wouldn''t have felt a strength in her," the Jedi Master exclaimed softly, also aware of the strangeness he had felt in contact with her strength. When the child was on the ship he had sensed her presence but no trace of strength in her. Perhaps this meant that she had found a way to camouflage the strength within her, perhaps to deal with the threats that she had adapted to at home. What is certain is that she had a strong potential, succeeding in lifting an adult man by force following a chase was not within the reach of the first comer. He knew many padawans who would not succeed in such an exercise. And thinking about it he remembered at that moment the pitiful state of the child, the latter had tattered clothes, he did not remember seeing shoes on her feet, which meant that she had run on slippery platforms, sharp bare feet. If he did remember her fluorescent green eyes, he also remembered a face covered in grime that certainly did not have the luxury of being able to wash. He looked at his hand for a moment, remembering the feeling of his hand on the girl''s shoulder, he had felt that the bones of the girl must surely be undernourished. "And yet I couldn''t catch it," he whispered to himself, realizing the situation, it wasn''t just a young girl who had slipped through his fingers. No, she was a young girl in a very poor state. "If she is good at the use of force, then we need to get her into the order, or at least the case, meet with the Council. Such a mastery at such a young age and in a self-taught way is impressive, but it will be up to the Council to decide. Master Yaddle said to him, pulling him out of his thoughts. "So we have to make it quick, my friend, I have a bad feeling. People are using this child to catch up with the senator. She informed me that her relatives have been threatened by individuals at the 88th lower level. ?. "I guess she''s the one who has the information we''re looking for, the senator''s ship has been purged of any useful data." Dooku nodded at the question, "And she encrypted the data keys. She informed me that a certain Zolan was at the origin of our disputes. Let''s find these zolan at the lower level and settle this matter once and for all. ? Nar Shadda was not a Republic world, so it was difficult for them to commandeer a shuttle or rely on the help of local security. There is no other choice to get off than to take one of the shuttles rented at a price that even Dooku deemed indecent. Their descent to the lower level was dreary, with each level passed they could observe the situation worsened at the next level. Ruptured pipes threw their contents into the void on the lower levels, dilapidated platforms almost fell over. Shuttle traffic was becoming increasingly rare, instead around levels 45 to 50 there were huge cargo container ships taking off. After fifty levels and it was another world, the lights were much less bright than at the top. You could see a lot of rubbish thrown from the upper level hanging on the wall as if pushed by the winds from the tunnel. The people they could observe were dressed in a piece of cloth with a foot which served them as clothing. "I''ve never seen a place like this," Dooku whispers, "it seems like light never gets there and darkness reigns there." "I''ve seen such misery before," Yaddle commented sadly as he watched children play on a dilapidated viewing platform. "If you visit the lower levels of Coruscante, you''ll find the same scenes, except that you have to go much deeper than here." As they descended deeper and deeper to level 88, they felt a violent disturbance in the force, it was as if someone had dropped a paving stone into the water and caused immense ripples that disturbed the surrounding calm. The two Jedi masters looked at each other worriedly, for Dooku it was the first time he had felt the dark side so clearly. It was a black suffocating sensation filled with hatred, listening to the force it was as if someone was screaming their rage. He made an effort to cut himself off from the strength so as not to be further disturbed by what he felt. Yaddle For his part, closed his eyes to try to find the origin of this disturbance. Immersing themselves in the force, she searched around for this emanation of the dark side. The wave of anger swept over her, forcing her to interrupt meditation. "Did you feel that put on too?" asked Dooku, looking at him with concern. "Yes, I''ve been trying to find the origin of it, but the force is totally disturbed, I''m afraid the person behind this has totally immersed himself in the dark side." "The Council must be warned of the situation as soon as possible. And the source of the disruption must be neutralized as soon as possible. " she says. In response, Dooku accelerated as fast as he could at the controls of the shuttle, swooping out of any safety rules to the lower level. When they arrived at the lower level 88 they noticed that the air was filled and disturbed by the dark side. Their sense and connection with the force was disturbed, and they could not determine precisely where the origin of the disturbance was. Deep down, Dooku suspected that it had something to do with the mission that had brought them to the planet and that he would find the answers he was looking for from the bandit who had sent the girl. After a brief search with the locals, he was able to determine the Zola gang''s base of operations without difficulty. By observing the equipment possessed by the gang members who guarded the entrance, the two Jedi can determine that they came from higher levels given their weaponry and their outfit which had nothing to do with the prevailing poverty here.Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. It was time for action. Generally, the Jedi Order preferred negotiation to confrontation, but given the urgency and threat posed by the dark side, neither he nor she wanted to negotiate. In the darkness of the lower levels of the blade illuminated the two Jedi, the larger blade was blue and the smaller one was green but both were synonymous with death. With a wave of his hand, Yaddle swept against a wall what was standing guard in front of the main entrance. The two Jedi blast their way with lightsabers into what was the Zola gang''s base of operations. Ignoring the invective of the guards, they progressed, seeing Blaster''s shot again, cutting here and there some individuals a little too much out of two who thought they would face them in hand-to-hand combat. The little Jedi Master jumped from wall to wall between the guards, neutralizing them one by one at full speed without either of them even being able to understand what had happened to them. Anarchy had taken hold of the place, the members of the gang were running in all directions to prepare barricades to try to stop the Jedis. No one had expected to encounter such a force in such an isolated and infamous place. In order to stop them they did not make a fuss, a heavy Blaster machine gun was installed in the only corridor that led to the room housing zolan. When the doors of this corridor opened to a dozen gang members fleeing the two Jedi, an order sounded. "Fire !!" And all hell broke loose on the corridor, all the gang members started shooting, whether with the heavy machine gun or with their Blaster. The corridor was filled with gunfire, the fleeing ones between them and the Jedi were mowed down by friendly fire, some were vaporized by the heavy machine gun. For young Jedi or padawan such a wall of fire you may be that deadly, there was such a large amount of shooting that a single mistake would have led to fatal consequences. But both Jedi were masters and experienced masters, with a wave of his hand Dooku stopped some of the tigers and one sent back another. For her part, Yaddle did acrobatics by jumping on a wall, jumping from wall to wall to shoot and coming over the entrenched gang members. His small saber was more than enough to cut the machine gun in half before the force pushed back a good dozen of their opponents. His movement had taken no more than ten seconds. One of the gang members ran to a small intercom, "Zolan Chief, Zolan Chief, Zolan Chief, we''re under attack!!" he yelled into the intercom, firing his Blaster at the Jedi. "I know, idiot, I have cameras. Repel them, I would make a coat of your skin! Zolan replied over the intercom, but in a voice much less confident than what the gangster was used to. "But chiefs they are Jedi!!" His interlocutor exclaimed in panic. "You moron, use the rocket launcher!" the man glanced at the rocket launcher attached to the weapon rack if you''re near the door. He quickly grabbed it and with a trembling gesture pointed it at the Jedi. "I wouldn''t do this if I were you," Master Dooku''s voice growled. This did not have much effect and the rocket went in the direction of the Jedi. With a slight push of force, he deviated the trajectory of the request which exploded behind them. Before another request was sent, the gunman''s head was detached from the rest of his body, without them understanding how the Jedi had traveled the distance between in a few seconds. Zolan, behind the armored door of his main room, was pacing back and forth after watching his last man being eliminated. Everything he had preserved until then, his men, his equipment, was going up in smoke and he didn''t know why. Luckily for him, he had his armored door, no one could enter it without a large package of explosives, he was sure of it. Senator Bachure also in the room was shaking all over his body, he knew that the Jedi was coming for him. He had always had a contemptuous attitude towards the Jedi, for him as for many senators the Jedi were their little racing dog, which they sent to sort out problems. He had never been confronted with the reality of a Jedi, because just now he had seen a hundred rather well-armed men being illuminated in a few minutes by only 2 individuals. "Zola does something in number of my stature as a dying man cannot be humiliated in front of the Senate," he roars, trying to put on a good face. He wanted only one thing, to flee, he had so much money on his ship, he had enough elements to blackmail many senators to succeed in sinking a sweet and prosperous life in a remote corner. "It''s crazy, senator, that they brought here, you''re responsible for this fiasco!" Zolan yells at him. At that moment, the armored door was torn off its hinges by force under the stunned gaze of Zolan and Senator Bachure. Then the two Jedi appeared in the doorway of the latter, swords drawn, their faces closed. "Senator Bachure, on behalf of the Republic and the Senate, you are under arrest. You will answer for your many crimes before the courts. Dooku said calmly, we walked in front of them, the sword in the light, in a tone that suffered no refusal. Zolan and the senator raised their hands at the same time as a sign of surrender. "Jedi, we surrender," Zolan exclaimed. Dooku pointed his sword at him. "I suppose you must be Zolan, for your own good I suggest that you hand over the evidence concerning the senator and you will answer for your crimes." In a brief attempt to appear in control of the situation, Zolan straightened up, "Jedi, we are here on Nar shadda and not in the Republican space, you have no authority over me. Only the Hutts can judge me. ? The dark look that the two Jedi masters gave him made him bury his head in his shoulders and he fell silent. "Come on, come on, Jedi, I''m sure we can find a mutually beneficial arrangement," Senator Bachure tried, rubbing his hands. From his point of view and experience, everyone was buyable. So far, the senator had managed to buy almost everyone, from his peers to captains of the Coruscante sector fleet to Supreme Chancellor Thoris Darus. If he could have corrupted the Supreme Chancellor, he was certain he could do the same with the two Jedi. The power of money was capable of anything with everyone. From his experience as a senator he decided to continue talking to monopolize the space, it was perhaps the lack of response from the 2 Jedi that made him believe that he had a chance to achieve his goals by negotiating. The moment he opened his mouth, he felt a strong pressure crushing his trachea, panicking, we can breathe, he brought his hands to his neck as his feet began to leave the ground. "You !! You are all the same! believing himself to be untouchable!! abusing your power to finally negotiate your terms of surrender. They all turned towards the track that came from the corridor. A voice where one could feel hatred and disgust, a voice with a particularly weak tone but strangely understandable. Anyone who listened could detect painful panting and shortness of breath. The two Jedi masters turned around as they felt the dark side fill the room. The sensation was almost suffocating, uncomfortable, even brutal by the porosity of the sensations and emotions he felt from the transmitter on the dark side. Slowly and trudging forward, the source of the dark side left the dimly lit corridor. If Master Yaddle turned to her and pointed his sword to face what she thought was a new threat, Dooku hesitated for a moment. Even if it was difficult, he recognized the child who had saved his life a few hours earlier, but this time she seemed to have suffered the worst ordeals. Large quantities of blood flowed from his wounds despite summary bandages, by straining his ears he could hear the regular dripping of blood on the floor. Looking at Komari''s previously fluorescent green eyes, he instead saw a sickly yellow glow in bloodshot eyes. His face was in an expressive mask of anger, sorrow, pain and pure hatred. Komari stood there, bloodied, his right hand raised or a point in the direction of the senator. In front of them she stretched out her left, and the senator''s arm began to turn in an unnatural direction. The screams he began to let out did not seem to wait for the child who waved the fingers of his left hand as if she were typing. The screams redoubled as the senator''s legs began to do the same. It was clear to everyone that she was not looking to kill the senator immediately, but you wanted to enjoy the moment. "The rat survived, senator!!" Breathed his little voice, exhausted but still filled with hatred. The senator tried to speak but it was only an incomprehensible Cosmo, slowly following his right hand the senator''s head began to turn until it reached the limits that his neck could bear. It was long, very long, he had time to hear his cervical spine break and moan. The body of the fallen former senator fell with a thud to the ground, shattering what had been an almost solemn moment when no one had made a sound except the main antagonists. The shock of the body on the ground startled Zolan who realized that he was the next one and that what was standing in front of him was incomprehensible to his reason. He had seen men much stronger than this eight-year-old girl killed by a single blaster, so why was she, who had received a dozen of them, standing in front of him? He uttered an almost animalistic cry of terror as he rushed backwards. "Save me Jedi, save me, protect me, and I''ll give you everything you want. I have misinformation, I have secrets. He begged as she began to walk towards him. Each step seemed to make her grimace of pain, yet she did not stop or slow down, you could hear her tired but determined breathing. His scream reached the high pitch when he was drawn by the force towards her, he could see you a crazy smile on his lips as she reveled in the suffering to come from him. He was stopped in the open air by a gesture from Yaddle, this act earned her a violent push of force that she swept away with the back of her hand. "He''s mine, Jedi!" the child yelled, "he''s more than deserved what is going to happen to him," to emphasize her anger, she broke Zolan''s right hand with a wave of her hand. Yaddle Places himself between his green saber always pointed at Komari. "No, young girl, it''s up to the justice system to settle this case." while she expected a new act of brutality, she was surprised to see her let go of Zolan. There was disgust on his face and contempt, "Get off your Jedi ivory tower, there is no justice in this galaxy and you should know that. With money and relationships escapes everything and your prisons are real sieves. There are more bandits here who have escaped from prison than rats. ?. The child''s words could not reach the Jedi Master who was a model of righteousness. The latter believed in the ideal of the Republic and the Jedi order and it was not the words of a child tormented by the dark side that was going to make her deviate from it. Yet they found a certain resonance in Dooku who was as idealistic as his Jedi comrade, he who was a large family of Sorenno from the Outer Rim he was aware of the endemic corruption of the Republic. The Republic and the ideals that the Jedi stood for were a far cry from the legendary times of the Golden Age. Komari continued to speak, They are masks of rage, cracking a mask of sorrow mixed with the beginning of madness, "They are all dead Jedi, my whole family was massacred by this bastard and for what reason? For I stole for him? Because I stole to survive? Death is not scary Jedi, I accepted it, it was part of the risks. But they were innocent. ?. His voice had begun to derail on these last words. She looked down at his hand and slowly stared at Zolan. The murmurs in her head resumed with renewed vigor, they became cries of hatred inciting her to more cruel and violent revenge. She let herself be overwhelmed by this nameless hatred. Slowly the armored door of several tons began to levitate, closely followed by many debris and objects. She threw them forcefully at Zolan but were intercepted by Yaddle on the way, the skill of the Jedi Master''s master''s mastery of force was far superior to the child''s anarchic gifts. But despite any force fight, each tried to push the other away and propel the debris. Yaddle frowned when she noticed that she couldn''t break the deadlock in front of them. Komari also noticed that they were at a dead end, but if she couldn''t crush Zolan by force, she would eat his throat with her teeth. Her gaze still fixed on the latter, she began to move forward. Each step she took further aggravated her wounds from which a lot of blood flowed. The Jedi Master raised her hand to push it away, but if this slowed the child down a lot, she did not stop stubbornly in the object of her quest. Instead, he could feel his fury increase, but it seemed to be directed at only one person. Dooku, a spectator of their confrontation, looked at the bandit and the child in turn. He sighed, and with a supple step, followed by a determined gesture, his sabre cut off Zolan''s head. The latter, in a last movement of surprise, a small hooo in her mouth, began to roll off the bandit''s shoulders. Seeing the object of his fury suddenly disappear, Komari watched haggard and dazed at the turn of events and the Jedi before collapsing. Yaddle looked at the Jedi Master in amazement not understanding his act, the latter shrugged his shoulders as he moved closer to the fainting Komari to take his pulse. "It was the best thing to do, my friend, this poor girl was never going to stop as long as Zolan was alive." He explained to himself in front of the insistent gaze of the other Jedi. "You killed him in cold blood, Master Dooku. This goes too far. The Jedi Master was genuinely outraged because it had just happened. "If I hadn''t intervened, the child would have died of stubbornness. She doesn''t have to die because of a corrupt senator and a miserable gang leader. Dooku replied in the same tone. "She used the dark power Dooku. It is dangerous, you have seen this power just as I have. ?. "Is that a reason for condemning it so quickly? She''s a child! A child who knows nothing about right and wrong within the force. A child who must have taught herself to master her powers. He looked strangely tenderly at Komari. "The pain of losing these loved ones places to turn your head and missed the plunge into madness, you are aware of it, aren''t you? She did what she could to survive and maybe with our help she can follow a path that will bring her happiness. Let''s not judge it too quickly. ? VI. Alone Insidious whispers whispered in his ears, as ghostly shadows with familiar faces of his family members waved in front of him. "Komari, Komari where were you?" the voices sang in a gloomy and macabre field mixed with painful moans. Komari advanced towards the shadows in a desperate attempt to scatter them. With a wave of her hand she futilely tried to grab the ghostly shadows, which with mournful screams escaped from her fingers. "You''re not real, it''s all in my head," she moaned, holding her skull, "it''s in my head," she sobbed. A peculiar voice made her raise her head, in front of her stood the bloody face of Simon, her little brother. "Big sister, I''m in pain." She screamed, her anger had been replaced by her grief, she screamed at the loss of the only family she had had. This cry roused her from her dreams, she opened her tearful eyes. The physical pain she felt indicated that she was still alive. Part of her was disappointed by this observation, at that moment she wished she was dead. To be with his family, to find his mother but that was not possible. She was alive she didn''t really know how, yet she was sure that she had used these last bursts of energy to move forward, her wounds should have killed her. Was this fate? If that were the case she would find a way to fight him, until now she had refused to follow his visions and knew now that they had caught up with him, at least one of them. The room was far too clean for these standards, there was a smell of medicine in the air and of a cleanliness that burned his nose. She felt an oxygen mask on her mouth and nose while hearing the roar of the oxygen pump. In fact, she could hear a lot of things, many beeps and beeps from the many complex medical machines that occupied the space. Some of them injected her with what appeared to be a translucent liquid that she identified as bacta. "All this for me?" she whispered. Bacta was a miracle medical product, but it was not given to everyone. It was the first time she had been exposed to such a product. His spirit of inhabitants of the lower levels coupled with a professional deformation, he allows him to quickly estimate the value of the merchandise and how much it could have resold it. Despite the benefit she derived from it, she tried to lift the many intravenous fluids that ran through her body. She didn''t like it, to be pierced on all sides in a place she didn''t know, and with things they didn''t know. A quick glance at her surroundings allowed her to analyze the following, the light but constant purr she heard and the lack of inertia were all clues that it was said that she was on a spaceship. "And fuck my first time in a spaceship and not above it on the hull. And I didn''t even see the takeoff," she grumbled to herself. Until now, she had never boarded a ship other than by clinging to the hull of the ship to climb from level to level. At that moment, the door slid in a light spritz to let a Republic Medical droid pass. "Hello, I see that you are awake. I am a T-22 medical droid from the Ct-90 Consular class cruiser of the Jedi Order. You have suffered serious injuries and have been exposed to many chemicals. We have therefore had to carry out various operations to keep you in a state of service. The robot said as he approached her. With a mechanical gesture he reinserted the intravenous ones that had been moved during his attempt to remove them. "Hey!!" she complained. "You are advised not to get up or remove the IVs or you will stop the treatment," the droid continued, not caring about his complaint. Once this is done, he will turn around to type on the screens that dotted the room. Komari then looked at her suspiciously when he began to turn his head but not the rest of his body towards her. The right hand of the droid, composed of 3 fingers, took hold of two large syringes. "No!" she exclaimed. But the droid I mercilessly and sparingly administered the two syringes in his arm, which drew a cry more indignant than hurt.
A few hours later, the droid returned with the Jedi. Dooku and Master Yaddle, Komari looked at them intently. It was strange for her to see familiar faces again, those of these visions and her dreams. She knew their future, or at least some of their futures, and didn''t know what to make of them. She preferred not to say anything and to observe the situation, each of them had a different expression. The first seemed to be intrigued by her, Komari could read sympathy and understanding in her eyes. But she knew that he was a man of principle but rather rigid and narrow-minded. The second was suspicious of her, there was a rejection of what she had done. But here too, Komari knew thanks to these gifts that the latter is an easy-going person with a friendly nature who always took care of others. "How do you feel as a young girl?" Dooku began by saying as he opened the conversation to get out of the embarrassing silence that reigned. Komari''s florescent green eyes turned to him, she hesitated and then finally spoke. "You really want me to answer you, Jedi? I lost my whole family in less than 24 hours, I was shot, I was left for dead. To crown it all, you have taken my revenge from me. ?. His tone was calm, there was no hatred in his voice, no anger, just resentment. She knew that they were not the cause of her misfortunes and that he did not have to put up with the hatred that burned inside her. Listening to her own words she realized that she was tired, yes she was alone. Dooku didn''t answer right away, he just nodded his head in understanding. But her comrade was not so understanding. "We understand your pain, young lady, but what you did was wrong," Yaddle said. At her words, Komari felt anger and indignation rise in her. "Do you understand!? Do you understand each other!? Have you ever had to kill before the age of 6 to avenge your mother? Did you have to steal to protect your family? Did you have to go through the garbage to find something to eat? Have you done everything in your power to survive when everything is the opposite of your survival?! Without realizing it, she had screamed these last words. In a movement of rage, she snatched her drips, making the monitors in the room scream. "Yes, I killed, I massacred, yes, I took revenge because they took everything from me. And for that I have no remorse. No Jedi we don''t live in the same world, our values are not the same. Evil, good, all of that is relative when you go through the garbage. ?. She had spat out her last words with real disgust, all her frustration had risen suddenly, it wasn''t just the fact of having lost her family, it was also the fact of being judged by a person who had not had her experience. Yaddle grimaced, she was shocked by the speech and their rejection of the young girl. She kept her comments to herself because the child had imposed an implacable truth on her, the ideals they believed in, the ideals of the Jedi, had no value in the eyes of this child who had access to survival all his life. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. After a quick introspection she apologized sincerely, she had been too hasty in her judgment of what was in fact only a child. "I took you to excuse me, my arrogance has taken over my reason. I spoke without knowing. I don''t agree with your actions But I didn''t take into account what you had to put up with. ? Komari was surprised to see the Jedi apologize for her anger, and then she suppressed her emotions and accepted the apology. She sighed, getting angry would be useless, this kind of judgment was likely to happen to her often. She had to get used to it, yours doesn''t put that and even if she didn''t understand the reasoning. "Let''s forget about it, Jedi, you''re probably right. I shouldn''t have given in to anger so easily. She apologized in turn for his outburst. She was surprised to see Yaddle start smiling, and Yaddle was happy to see her admit the mistake of giving in to anger. This was an important point for the Jedi, acknowledging the outbursts of anger was the first step towards peace. She began to replace the drips that had been snatched with gestures while Dooku continued the conversation. "So what''s your name, my child?" The voices in Komari''s head began to whisper, warning her of the Jedi. They reminded her of her visions and the echoes of a past that she did not understand. Where was the future? She chased them away very quickly. "I am Komari Vosa from Nar shadda." She said with a hint of arrogance in her voice. The Jedi nodded thoughtfully, touching his chin. This strange because in all the visions she had of the Jedi, many of them made this gesture when they were thinking. A strange tic. "How did you learn to harness force?" to emphasize his words, he levitated a few objects in the room. "Since I was a little girl, I have felt this thing. I just tried to understand it better by doing some experiments. Then, by meditating and practicing, I managed to levitate and throw heavier and heavier objects. She explained, levitating objects here and there. "It''s amazing, I''ve never seen such potential in strength in someone of that age. The force is powerful in you, my child, you will have a certain talent for having mastered it as a self-taught person. Yaddle intervened in their conversation, "I''d like with your permission to take some blood to test your midi-chlorians. ?. Komari held out his arm to him, allowing himself to take a blood sample that the Jedi inserted into a machine. Komari asked her about midi-chlorians, she had already seen and heard of them in these visions but had never understood what they were. The Jedi seemed delighted to explain it to her, they were in fact microorganisms living in symbiosis inside any living form inside the cells themselves. The midi-chlorians were not the force as such, they were a symbiotic form that created a path, a connection with the omnipresent energy field in everything known as force. This connection alternated according to the amount of midi-chlorians but also other factors that the Jedi could not explain. "The analysis is pretty quick," the Jedi Master explained as she inserted the blood-filled tube into one of the machines. But quickly, the machine, instead of giving her a result, showed her a 404 error, which made the Jedi''s eyes wrinkle. "Well, we''re unlucky, the machine is still acting up, we''ll have to see with maintenance to fix it. I''m afraid we''ll have to postpone testing your blood until later. ? The Jedi Masters asked her several questions about her origins, but all she could tell him was that she was an orphan and had been picked up on the street by her adoptive mother. She had estimated her age and race according to vague general criteria. Although she had a greater general knowledge than most people of the lower levels due to her visions, her knowledge remained limited. The two Jedi looked at each other for a moment, she strangely felt that they were communicating with each other surely by force, but she couldn''t figure out how. They quickly reached a consensus as their eyes turned in his direction with identifiable expectation. "We have a proposal for you if you agree," Dooku began before handing over to Yaddle. "We want to take you to the Jedi Temple on Coruscante to be healed and meet the Jedi Council." Komari sneered, "Wait, you don''t want me to join the Jedi Order," but at the seriousness of the two masters, his face decomposed, "No, are you serious?" They nodded at the same time. She was taken aback by their proposal, on the one hand she knew from her visions that the Jedi order was on a downward slope and that their purge was going to come any moment. On the other hand, she knew that joining the order was one of the paths of her destiny, but not necessarily the one she would have chosen. When she revealed her powers to her mother, she had hoped to avoid being taken over by the Jedi, preferring to stay with her family. Mila had therefore avoided anything that might have attracted the Jedi''s intention to her daughter. She hesitated for a long time, she was aware that she would surely not be able to follow the rules of the Jedi or their morale. She was far too independent and knew she was far too arrogant for them. The Jedi saw his discomfort and hesitation, but they kept the let him speak. "I hear your proposal but I have serious doubts. I am what I am and I don''t necessarily appreciate your rules, your doctrines, even if I don''t know the essentials. I''m afraid that they may not correspond to me, I have no desire to go against my conscience. She explained to them. It was an opportunity to learn more about the Jedi Force and the Jedi arts that was still filled with mystery to him. But she wanted to remain herself without having to submit to dogmas imposed by others. But refusing to listen to this proposal would be foolish. Of course, there were many other groups mastering the force and its arcana, but she remained a child and therefore an easy prey for sith, and unscrupulous force practitioners or other strange sects. "I don''t think you have to worry about it, my child, you can try to follow our teachings and if you can''t follow our dogmas nothing will stop you from leaving us." Dooku tried to reassure her, still in a soft tone where she could perceive a glimmer of understanding about her indecision. She still didn''t understand why he was so sympathetic to her even though she knew that several of these destinies might confront him. "If I don''t like it, you promise to let me go safely?" Frankly, the order doesn''t have a good press where I come from. The Jedi Master nodded and promised. This promise earned her a dark look from Yaddle, who did not agree to leave a way out for the young girl and thought that she would easily enjoy the order as many children had done before her. "So, if I have this guarantee, I agree to meet with your council, and depending on what comes out of it, I will make my decision," she promised, which deflected the Jedi Master''s anger.
The journey from Nar Shadda to Coruscant took time, not to mention that the ship was not the fastest in the galaxy. She took advantage of this time to rest, she needed it badly. It was a strange feeling to be clean, she realized. The medical droid had washed her body with a solution she didn''t know to try to remove the layers of grime from there. "I advocate total stripping," he said, turning one of his hands into an intimidating brush. Because of him, his skin irritated him, but at least it was clean. The discovery of a hot shower was also a strange sensation, in the lower levels only rain or cold water had allowed him to wash. When she turned on the hot water she shivered, her hair flowing into the shower. A mixture of filth and dried blood. If she had short hair, it was for good reasons. The most practical was to avoid the predators that reigned in the lower levels. Although in this respect young boys and young girls were prime targets for this kind of degenerate. The other reason was that it was easier to live with short hair in a hostile environment. The Jedi had given her her vibro-blade at her request, it was the last object, the last memory she had of her family. An object that she cherished above all else, and which had a small secret compartment in the handle where the data card containing the banking and blackmail information of the late Senator Bachure was stored well protected. There were no clothes on board the ship that fit her, so she had to put back on her old rags that she used to wear and that had been put through the machine. She remained barefoot as usual. While talking to the Jedi, who were never far away, she learned that it was Yaddle who had given her first aid thanks to his strength healing skills. A field in which she was a recognized expert within the Jedi order. Without his care, it would have been certain that Komari would have died. After a few days, she felt comfortable enough, albeit weakened, to move around the Jedi ship without too much difficulty or restriction. She was able to admire for the first time the luxury of the diplomatic vessels of the Republic. She had to go against her instinct to steal everything she could find, she was a guest, she shouldn''t start alienating the Jedi. Looking at the stars through a window was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. So far she has only had the sky of Nar shadda a few times and could count on the fingers of one hand the number of times she had seen the stars from the surface. All that could come close to it was the vague light in the tunnels of the lower levels. These in good conditions that she began to meditate on the deck, resuming a habit that she had not taken advantage of every moment to take stock with herself. She had decided this time to expel all emotion in her meditation, to focus on calm, knowing full well that her current emotions were too intense. This caught the watchful eye of the two Jedi who were probing her meditation in the force, and finally she resumed her strength training habits and began to disassemble and reassemble a few objects here and there. From time to time, the Jedi would give him advice on how to feel the force more or how to improve them. These were subtle elements but they made a big difference in his account of force prevention. Yaddle''s initial mistrust was a distant memory, as Yaddle gave him a lot of advice during her meditations. She was far too injured to be able to indulge in physical or martial training. So, to stay in a routine that she understood, she began to practice Mandalorian walking. This practice came from the Mandalorians to prepare for battle or during waiting phases. It was a walking technique based on the principle of coordination between breathing rhythm and step rhythm. The exercise was embellished with some minimalist biomechanical exercises that warmed up the body and worked the muscles. The Mandalorians had invented this exercise to prepare their men who marched to the front. It was an exercise she had practiced since she was trained by the Mandalorian Rognas. She didn''t notice that these exercises attracted Dooku''s attention and sharp gaze. The latter being a recognized practitioner of the art of Makashi, he easily saw the contributions of the practice that Mandalorian walking. He was even surprised to see that a child of such a young age and in a remote corner had learned this kind of thing. Even within the Jedi temple, few knew about this routine of the Mandalorian martial art. He felt more than he saw Komari''s gaze on his lightsaber. With a skilful gesture he took him from his belt and presented him to him. "This is a lightsaber, the weapon of the Jedi Knights, an elegant army that requires mastery in the art of being various forms of saber handling." "Master Dooku and one of the best swordsmen in the order, he has mastered the difficult art of Form 2," Yaddle commented as he watched them. "It''s too much honor, Master Yaddle, but I prefer the name Makashi, the term form 2 and so barbaric and inelegant. But it is also true that it is the most effective form against other swordsmen and the most elegant technique. By a skilful gesture he lit the sword and made a few gestures. Komari looked at the movements with the eye of a connoisseur, she saw their complexity, their mastery which was far from the movements she was currently practicing. While she was proud of her mastery of the staff, dagger, and sword, she had to admit that there was an entire galaxy between her level and that of the Jedi Master. "How many forms are there?" she asked, knowing the answer through these visions, but preferring to have the action of the masters present. "There are officially 7 forms, Shii-cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Djem so, Niman and finally Vaapad. They all respond to a situation, but there are also many variations. Such as Sokan an ancient technique using fast movement, Jar''Kai with two swords, Dun M?ch mixing sword and strength with his Trakata variant. Yaddle explained. "But you''ll learn that when you get to the Jedi Temple," Dooku assured him. She made the rest of the way, alternating between meditations the basic learning exercises using an opaque headset provided to her by the Jedi masters. The mask forced her not to trust her eyes but to try to feel the strength. It was an exercise in which she excelled, she had learned at a young age to rely on all these senses, including strength, to survive. VII. 1st contact As their ship neared their destination, Komari looked through the bay window of the corridor where she stood, stargazing. They had been on their way to Coruscante for two weeks. Thanks to Yaddle''s force healing, she could continue to move as long as she didn''t force herself too much. From what she understood, it would take her several weeks to fully heal. Physical exercises were forbidden, the Jedi had imposed on him to stay a minimum number of hours in the infirmary under the supervision of the medical droid. If physically she was recovering from her injuries mentally, that was another matter. She had strongly rejected any attempt by the two Jedi to intrude into her mind. It had surprised the Jedi that she could reject them and it had surprised her herself, she didn''t really know how she did it, but she refused to have anyone in her head, whether for a good reason or not. Those thoughts are sorrow and her emotions were the dogs and they wouldn''t share them with anyone else. She was painfully aware of the deplorable mental state she was in. "It''s in your head, it''s in your head," she repeated to herself, suddenly seeing one of her brothers in the reflection of the bay window. It wasn''t the first time she''d seen ghosts, they''d started to manifest alarm sounds. They looked at her without a word, she felt their judgment, their disappointment. As if that wasn''t enough, the whispers she heard in her head were now embellished with their voices. If the whispers could be incomprehensible in accordance with these visions, on the other hand their voices she clearly discerned them. It wouldn''t necessarily make sense but she could hear their voices, at times their laughter and other moments cry for them. She closed her eyes to finally open them again a few seconds later, the ghost that was then standing in the reflection of the glass had disappeared but she didn''t feel better for all that. The legendary coruscante was beginning to appear. It was a planet as terrible as it was beautiful, a planet city entirely covered in concrete without an ounce of natural space. It was the beating heart of the galaxy, the galaxy capital. A part of her wondered how the planet managed to survive without the natural cycle of nature, forgetting that nar shadda was also a world city. These questions were going to have to wait for you as their ship began its descent into the planet''s atmosphere. By piercing the clouds and being able to see the Jedi temple, a huge building even for a world city such as Coruscante. He stood out against the imposing, arrogant horizon. Their ship headed for a docking dock not far from the temple, one of the many annexes that the Jedi Order had on Coruscant. From there they took a shuttle bus to the temple itself. "Komari: The Council is waiting for our report, and then they''ll want to meet you," Dooku informed him, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Try to control yourself, although I agree with you on many things, it''s better to have a clean sheet," he advised him. She stared before nodding, she wasn''t sure if she was following his advice but she understood him. Her words and deeds to the point of getting her into a lot of trouble if she didn''t control them. Unconsciously she put a hand to her vibro-blade, this gesture had become habitual with her, it had the gift of reassuring her in these moments of uncertainty. "Komari the council is waiting for our report and will want to meet you, we will speak on your behalf," Dooku informed him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Try to master your words, although I agree on many things, it is better to present your credentials," the Jedi Master advised him. Komari nodded, although she had doubts about the order and its methods, antagonizing it would be a bad idea. Being trained by them was surely the best solution she had at the moment, although she was not very happy about it for several reasons. On the other hand, it could give her time to think about her future plans and protect her from certain threats. Seeing the temple from the ship and seeing it from the shuttle were two diametrically different things. Even though the temple seemed large to him from the bay window of the Jedi ship, seeing it from the shuttle allowed him to realize its true dimensions. It was a stone behemoth erected in honor and glory of the Jedi, it seemed all the bigger because there was nothing around that could match it in size. One could easily discern the 5 towers that adorned the structure of the temple, four were of equal size while a 5th protruded from them in the middle. "The central spire is called the Temple Spire," Yaddle explained, "it was built to house our ancient founding texts. It also serves as the chamber of the conclave that brings together all the councils of the Jedi Order for annual meetings. ?. She then pointed to the other 4 towers: "The southwest spire is called the tower of the high council, this is where we will go to meet the high council of Jedi. The Council of the First Acquaintance, they are the ones in charge of the management of the temple. Opposite is the tower of the Reinfection Council which is in charge of managing the work of the young initiates. And finally, to the south-east is the Reconciliation Tower, which is our diplomatic body. She pointed to the towers in question, one after the other. Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. As she entered the vast halls of the temple, Komari observed with interest everything that was unfolding before her eyes, but after a few minutes following the two Jedi she realized one thing. Of course, the temple was beautiful, but why were there so few people? She had even begun to find it a little dull and empty, like a past glory trying to cling to its golden age. It was with a calculating eye that she observed the rich decorums in the corridors, the whole thing is set with marbling and impressive gilding that titillated the senses of street girls. "Don''t even think about it, Komari," Yaddle called her to order as he watched her get closer with interest. Even if she couldn''t clearly feel the girl''s emotions, she could see the return of her thief reflexes thanks to her sense of observation. Komari caught in the act could only make a big smile followed by a whistle taking up the tune of the thieves of Nar shadda.
While the two Jedi Masters explained the events of Nar Shadda to the rest of the Jedi High Council, Komari had to wait several hours in front of the door. Tired of walking the whole way and feeling her wounds getting in the way, she decided to sit against the wall. The whispers in his head told him to pay attention to what was being said behind the great closed doors of the Council. She hesitated, weighing the pros and cons but it says that if for once she followed the advice of the whispers her would leave in peace at least a few hours. Slowly she let the force guide her, without being intrusive she could feel the echoes of certain paths that resonated through the force. But before she could understand or grasp more than bridles, her attempt was gently rebuffed, by what she perceived as two echoes of different forces. Her attempt having failed, she decided not to tempt the devil and to be content to pass the time. After a few more hours she was invited to enter the Council chamber, just in time because one more second and she would start to see if she could not scratch the gilding of the door. Yaddle, opening the door, had given him a very explicit look that meant, I see you, don''t do it.
She felt nervous as she entered the Council chamber, in front of her stood 12 Jedi of all kinds. She recognized some of them as being present in her dreams and visions. Others, on the other hand, were completely unknown to him. She was surprised by the hostility of some of the looks, her hand naturally went back to her vibro-blade. It was clear that some people here don''t like her presence, she was totally hostile to him. Still dressed in her ragged clothes that had kept the traces of the blasters, she stopped in the middle of the room. When the door closed she had only one thought, "What the hell am I doing here?", she regretted being here somewhat. "Komari Vosa, welcome you, the Jedi High Council wants," said the little Jedi, whom she immediately identified as Master Yoda, one of the most powerful Jedi of his time. The latter continued "to tell of terrible sufferings, Dooku and Yaddle on. Grieve us by your suffering. ?. Komari nodded in that direction, but before she could open her mouth to thank him, the Jedi with dark skin and bald head she identified as Jedi Master Mace Windu. "They also told us about your talent for mastering the force," he crossed his fingers in front of him. "As well as your outburst of fury." Komari was surprised if he immediately got into the subject, she had expected him to present her with the Jedi Order before talking about these gifts of strength. She didn''t really know what to say, not to mention that she still felt this hostility in some people. Then she did what she judged safest for herself, she kept silence. Moreover, she didn''t like it, she felt judged for reasons they didn''t understand. He had been made to wait for hours and suddenly he was being told about his mastery of the force without even being offered a seat first. Inwardly she withdrew a few points for politeness. She felt something getting closer to her mind, it was the same sensation as when Yaddle and Dooku brushed her mind during her meditations. They had stayed on the surface, they had just probed these feelings, now we were trying to get into his head. She had pretty much figured out how she had managed to repel Yaddle and Dooku, this time she violently threw a wall between her mind and the attempted intrusion. "That''s rude of you," she growled, unhappy that someone was trying to violate her mind. Despite the pain she felt in her body, she puffed out her chest to stand up straight. it sought to look down on the members of the Council without much success. The temperature in the room dropped a few degrees, the hostility she had felt towards her increased. "You seem to want to close your mind to us. Is there a reason for this? A member of the Council asked suspiciously. "There is no particular Jedi reason. My spirit is my own and no one has the right to put their paws in it for any reason whatsoever. She replied, shrugging her shoulders and judging him with her eyes. "Is there a reason for your attempted intrusion?" On the one hand she cursed her sharp tongue, on the other she gave the Jedi the intellectual arm of honor. To break the class, it was Yaddle who spoke, as a member of the Council she could steer the discussions. "Excuse this ill-advised attempt on our part. It is a reflex that we have to observe the thoughts and feelings of the young initiates of our order. ? "I accept the apology, but I will not budge from my position, my mind is out of bounds," Komari replied firmly, who was not ready to give in on this point. "Novices you are in the strength, good mastery you have," continued the little green master named Yoda. "But strange is the strength in you." she raised her hand to interrupt him, "Jedi, don''t beat around the bush. I''m tired, I''m in pain, so come actually. ?. "You see, young girl, we have a special interest in you, because until now we had never seen a person of your age with such a presence in the force. This does not correspond to anything we have seen so far. Moreover, your family situation echoes in our eyes an ancient prophecy. Mace Windu says as he resumes the thread of the conversation. "Can you confirm that you never knew your biological parents?" "My adoptive mother found me on the street. And so there''s nothing exceptional about that in the lower districts, babies or children left abandoned you have in spades. She confirmed to him. She seemed to know what he was getting at, "I''ll stop you right now, Jedi. I have no interest in prophecies of any kind. I do not wish to be associated with them and I do not wish to know them. ?. The Jedi Master raised an eyebrow in surprise at her reaction, with a nod he agreed not to broach the subject with her. "What worries me, young girl, is what you''ve done so far." The voice was filled with hostility, it came from a Jedi sitting next to Yaddle. "I have doubts about your morale and your ability." "I guess you''re talking about the fact that I killed. That I sank into what you call the dark side to take revenge. ? all the Jedi in the room nodded in agreement, looking serious. Come on again, the feeling of the spikes of hostility coming from several members of the Council. She was starting to hurt from standing, her legs were tired, and she felt a deep weariness of this growing hostility. "In that case, I''ll repeat to you what I said to put Yaddle." she inhaled and exhaled. Those big green eyes stared at the Jedi present in turn as she let her emotions come out. "We don''t live in the same worlds. I killed for survival and I killed for revenge and this is only justice. Where I come from, this is not a problem. ? she lifted the top of her garment to show them Blaster''s traces, still fresh and healing. "They took my family from me, I took their lives, end of story." Feeling a deep weariness, she greeted them before stepping back towards the door. "Where are you going, young girl?" "I''m leaving, at first I was ready to listen to what you had to say. But I notice that you were judging me without even listening to me. You already have your opinion on the matter so what''s the point. Our values are far too different. She foamed her lips, "I''m interested in mastering force, but not at the cost of my opinions or my free will. ? "Yet it is your opinions that have led you to dark power. If we have these rules, it is to avoid this. You shouldn''t reject them and listen to us. quickly went on to join the Council. In an attempt to calm things down, Yaddle intervened again, "Let''s calm down, Komari understands, that the extreme acts you have carried out worry us. Far be it from us to judge you. We are not asking you to deny your opinions or to curb your free will. ?. His attempt at appeasement was unfortunately broken by the intervention of the same Jedi as earlier. "And with such an opinion you want to join the order to become a Jedi!?" "No, as I said, I had better take control of the force. I understand neither your dogmas nor your philosophy. If I can''t learn from you, I won''t cause a scandal, I''ll simply go somewhere else. ? "We have no obligation to each other," she finished. Before she left the room Yoda asked her one last question, "Where would you go?" Their eyes met, she shrugged her shoulders, "Surely to the Mandalorians." and then walked out of the council chamber. VIII. Persuasion The eight-year-old left the room as some of the council members looked on in amazement. The least that could be said was that their exchange had been at best unpleasant and at worst, an exchange of the deaf and the blind. Everyone remained entrenched in their positions. On Dooku''s stoic face as he watched her leave the room, a thin smile began to appear on his lips. It was not every day that a young child could put the council in its place. On the one hand, he was sorry that she hadn''t followed his advice, on the other, he respected the courage she had shown in standing up to them without making any concessions. The situation could have turned out differently if some had not decided to try to get into his head. And while this was a common practice used by members of the Jedi Council and Jedi in general, he understood the intrusion it could be. "We can''t bring such an element into our ranks," the Jedi T''un High Council member constantly growled, unable to control his disgust. "A special case, we have." "Hasty judgments, we carry," Master Yoda''s voice rose above the Council members. He turned his head to Dooku, giving him the opportunity to intervene. "As Master Yoda said, let''s keep the hasty judgments we make to ourselves. Our rules only apply to our members and currently, she is not a member of the Jedi Order. "We can''t judge her according to our usual criteria." "You are aware, Master Dooku, that she has used the dark side and shows no remorse for it." He nodded, "Yes, it worries me, but I remind you that she is a child who made a child''s mistake and I am sure that with our help, she will be a great recruit for our order. Even if it requires some adjustments from everyone. ?. "You want us to make an exception to integrate him into the order. Even if we put aside his brief passage to the dark side. She remains far too old to join the order. And its nature in itself may pose a problem for us. ? "It''s still better than leaving someone with their gifts in nature. Here, at least, we can truly teach him how to harness his powers and avoid carnage. "I''m not sure that his presence with the Mandalorians or other force-bending groups is a good thing," said Oppo Rancisis. "It''s a threat! We need to fix the problem before it gets worse! A voice in the room was raised. "What, you''re going to threaten a child!" Yaddle turned to his interlocutor, his eyebrows furrowed, a terribly dangerous look on his face. Rarely had his fellow Jedi Order seen him so angry. "Since we arrived here, I have felt nothing but hostility towards her. If I could feel it, then so could she. So she returned our hostility to us. Let''s put aside the dark side or its education. She is a child who is suffering, who has experienced something terrible. ? "It will take time and our support. With a little goodwill, she will be able to understand our rules and we will be able to understand these limits to reach a consensus," her plea had a certain echo, as the tension in the room dropped by several degrees. "In addition, before meeting you, I did an analysis of his midi-chlorein with the central computer. And the result I got was somewhat peculiar. ? "Is it above average?" "No, it''s an absurd rate, totally illogical and impossible. I tried again a few times, because I thought it was the machine that was having problems, but I finally understood that it was the machine''s limit threshold that had been reached. ? At his words, several of the members of the Council held their breath. The fact that the child ticked several boxes fulfilling the expectations on the prophecy of the chosen one had interested more than one. But this was something else, we were revealing to them a relationship with force that they had never seen. "Hmm, are you thinking of the prophecy?" asked the large-necked Quermian calmly. Yarael Poof "I don''t like prophecies, but she ticks a lot of boxes." "In your opinion, Dooku, we would need." "A valued member of the Jedi Council, Komari is a special child. She has a surprising mastery of strength. Because of her harsh environment, she had to learn to survive. I can guarantee you that despite her size, her young age, she is capable of posing a decent threat to a grown man, and in front of her, a moment of inattention can prove fatal, even for a Jedi. ? "Come on, Master Dooku, it looks like you''re introducing us to a perfect being," someone taunted. The Jedi''s gaze was sharpened, he had a thin wry smile on his lips before shaking his head. "Oh, she''s far from perfect. She is violent, has no trouble making her enemies suffer. If you observe her long enough, you will see the beginning of paranoia in her. She has a total lack of respect for authority and rules that are not hers and that they do not recognize. ? He paused before continuing, he hesitated to say what he was going to say, but preferred to be honest. "Order or the Republic are entities to which she gives no credit. She would trust a Hutt more. ? Yaddle went on to strike the iron that was still hot. "For a child who had nothing, the few things she had mattered. Her material possessions and emotions are everything that comes close to freedom for her in a setting where she lacked everything. ? "If I have to finish, I''ll say she won''t make a good Jedi. And I don''t think she wants to. On the other hand, it is incumbent upon us to try to train it and open it to the light side of the force, even if in the end it decides that the force has other plans for it. ?. While quickly a heated debate broke out among the members of the Council on the relevance or not of integrating an element as disruptive as Komari. Two of them remained silent. Shifo dyas was immersed in these reflections, since he had met the child''s very particular gaze, he felt a strange connection with her. It was as if the force was encouraging him to observe him attentively without him being able to identify exactly what the force wanted to show him. He glanced at the master sitting on his left, the great Wookiee that was Master Tyvokka who was in full meditation, eyes closed. While the two Jedi Masters rarely agreed on many issues, they did share a common characteristic that brought them together. Both had gifts of vision, he could see snippets of potential future. Both of them remained attentive to each other''s visions, as their importance and meaning were often ignored by their Jedi Council peers.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. He knew, therefore, that his comrade had been just as surprised as he was that he had not predicted the coming of such an element in the force to them. When he had tried to center these visions on her as she presented herself, he had been confronted with a whirlwind of images so intense and informal that he had to leave his meditation for his own good. On the other hand, his fellow Wookiee was much better at controlling and interpreting his visions than he was. It was the fruit of a long life of mastery of this art so delicac.
The meditating Wookiee could see large fluorescent green eyes staring at him. There was no trace of emotion in his eyes and yet this look was of a disturbing intensity. In front of him stood a child, she was covered by a black veil in constant movement, only her eyes stood out from the rest of her body. The child remained motionless while in the background, the landscape was constantly changing. Before his eyes, humanoid beings with aggressive behavior began to form from the ground. They began by pointing their fingers at the child, he could read hatred and disgust on their faces. One of these humanoid forms began to approach her, with a gesture, he tried to attack the young girl. Just as her arm was about to make contact with the child''s face, the child began to move. The counter-attack was brutal, the form collapsed without being able to do anything. Her comrades attacked the young girl, they were destroyed one by one to finally leave only the child. While his eyes were still impassive, the Jedi Master could discern visible red wounds despite the black veil that covered it. Tyvokka shuddered as he heard ghostly murmurs rise out of nowhere, sometimes shrill, sometimes serious. At the sound of these murmurs, the child put both hands to his ears, and what was his mouth covered with a black veil opened in a sorrowful cry. This time, humanoid busts were emerging from the ground. They didn''t have the aggressiveness of previous forms, their deep black color more like the strange veil that covered Komari. Their hands came to grasp the young girl''s legs, from their open mouths came lamentations. Again, shapes similar to the previous one came out of the ground to attack him. They were destroyed each time, but it was an almost uninterrupted stream. As she fought them, he could watch her grow older as she went along. The frail child passed into a slender teenager, and the teenager gave way to a young woman with powerful musculature. The older she got, the more numerous the ghosts clinging to her legs became. Alongside him were other ghostly forums, some armed with lightsabers and others with blasters. Some fell to the ground and ended up clinging to his legs. Several ghosts different from the others placed comforting hands on the girl''s shoulders, gestures of closeness and familiarity that only friends could have. Tyvokka noticed that some of these forms tenderly embraced Komari in what was another form of familiarity. One of his ghosts was thrown to the ground by a humanoid warrior. The warrior dealt him what was a fatal blow. Whether it was a friend or a lover, it seemed that she could never do anything to save them. Instead, these gestures became more and more brutal, no matter how close they came to her, each warrior was pulverized, he saw her grab a warrior by the neck and smash his head against his. The Jedi Master''s attention had been focused on her. He gradually noticed that behind her were other ghosts less imposing than her or those of her friends, but they were thousands armed with lightsabers and blasters. He didn''t understand the mixture of strength he felt inside her. There was light and dark, but everything was mixed to such an extent that they had become indivisible, they mingled with every fiber of his being. Chills ran down the back of his neck, what he saw was something the Jedi had always refused to imagine since Ruusan''s reforms. With red lightsabers drawn and pointed menacingly in Komari''s direction, an army of Sith faced him. In turn, she drew a lightsaber whose color strangely changed constantly. She pointed it at the Sith, before uttering a silent battle cry. The ghosts behind them responded with a deafening scream before starting to charge the sites. Violent hand-to-hand combat broke out, the air was strewn with howls of war, the sound of sabers crossing each other, shots taking lives one after the other. It was war. When he looked up, he saw thousands of ships battling it out in the sky, battleships facing battleships firing impressive salvos. Fighter units twirl in pursuit. In the midst of this shapeless chaos, she faced several opponents at the same time. The flashes of light caused by the crossing of the swords created new scenery each time, each time the situation seemed to change, the era, the clothes, even the fighters. Each time, she fought Sith. And the more she fought, the more her body ignited, she literally burned, he could hear her cries of pain mixed with her cries of rage. And despite everything, she was fighting. Tyvokka saw, far from the fighting, ghosts that looked like Jedi. The latter did not participate in the fight, instead, they remained seated. The ground on which they sat bore the charred and fragmented symbol of the Republic.
When Tyvokka stepped out of the company of his vision, he saw Shifo dyas looking at him with concern. "Could you have had a vision of her?" asked Shifo dyas telepathically. As the Wookiee pondered his response, the council decided whether to vote for or against Komari''s integration into the order. One by one, the members of the Jedi High Council began to vote, Mace Windu set the tone by voting against. After him, it was Yaddle''s turn who she voted for. Oppo Rancisis, her former padawan, also voted against the girl''s membership in the order. Shifo Dyas sympathizing with his friend Dooku''s young prot¨¦g¨¦ voted for it, he was surprised to find that Tyvokka was following him on this path. In the end, the result was six votes against and five votes for Master Yoda who still did not vote. - Komari had stayed not far from the Jedi Council Chamber. She knew that her position and her refusal of certain rules did not work in her favor. She could have been silent, she should have been silent, but she couldn''t. Call it arrogance, conscience or simply ego. She agreed that a misplaced ego was undermining her chances of joining the Jedi order. An order that remained, despite the deep distrust she had for him, one of the best things that could happen to her according to these visions. While waiting for their decision, she had found a place between two large ventilation systems to sleep. The rustling wind from the ventilation reminded him a little of the constant noise on his home planet. She was woken up by Yaddle, the council was about to make its decision and was waiting for her. Although the hostility was still there, it had diminished or been stifled in some way. She could still read in some faces disgust or rejection, but in others, strangely, she could read subtle interest or pity. It was Yoda who spoke, there was something imperious in her voice, she felt that no one would dare to cut or question this word. "One question, I have my child for you. Why join the Mandalorians if I refuse? ? She raised an eyebrow at the question, but answered honestly "Mandalore has always supported orphans, no matter where they come from, if they want to, they can become mando. I''ve already met Mandalorians, they''re not as terrible as they say, unless you have a bounty on your head... I admit to envying their freedom." The master smiled sympathetically, "Many things in common, you have, indeed." "But tell me how do you feel?" her question surprised her again. She had refused to let the Jedi probe her mind until now, but she had never refused to be asked about her feelings and it was felt. "I''m in pain," she began in a soft voice, "the physical pain, I can handle, the emotional pain too. But I don''t know why, despite the fact that I compartmentalize all this, I hurt. I''m scared, I''m sad and I''m angry. She put her hand to her heart. "At the same time, I repress what I feel and at the same time, I let it be expressed. Because I''m afraid, I''m afraid of forgetting, I''m afraid that by not feeling anything, I''ll become a monster. She smiled sadly and tears of sorrow began to flow from her eyes. "So, I draw on it to move forward, even if it hurts, I don''t want to forget. And if I have to put my hand in the fire so as not to forget, I will do it. ? Yoda closed his eyes thoughtfully, he made a small noise of his mouth and tapped his cane on the ground, "For your integration, I vote." Immediately, there were sighs in the room and disappointed faces, but he will continue. "Concessions, we have to make, the dark side, you will have to refrain from approaching, violence, you will have to limit, our outlines, you will have to follow. "Your possessions will belong to you, your emotions are yours and free, you will be free to leave us whenever you want." Everyone has to make concessions to move forward, Komari nodded in agreement with the Jedi Master''s words. This was not insurmountable for her, it required goodwill on both sides and she was ready to give it. "You could grieve. Time you will have to cry. Master Dooku will be your tutor. ? IX.The order These first days within the Jedi temple she passers-by to the infirmary. Almost all day long she received injections of different drugs or anti-viruses. It was true that spending eight years in the lower levels of Nar shadda did not help at all with the immune system. From what she understood, she was a real broth of culture mixing infections, diseases forgotten for centuries and other rubbish. Although it strangely had no symptoms, it was still capable of triggering a full-blown epidemic if we were not careful. She also lacked immune defense against the most recent diseases to which she had never been exposed. Yaddle had therefore decided to inoculate him with all the possible vaccines, which meant a minimum of 10 injections a day for a month for a total of 310 antiviral injections not counting the others. She was really starting to hate needles, "I swear the next one who waves a needle in front of me, I''m going to him in the eye." Physically, in addition to her injuries from the blaster shots, she was malnourished. Having eaten survival food bars all his life, his stomach was not at all adapted to much richer and better flavored food. She had stolen some food from the Jedi ship, the result had been a direct return to the sender through the front door, splashing Dooku''s feet in the process. Maybe that was the worst thing about seeing all this food at hand without ever being able to touch it. Fortunately or unfortunately for her, Yaddle he had come to like her after her initial objections. She didn''t really know what the little green master saw in her, but the latter took special care of her and her wounds. That''s why, when the latter entered her small room, Komari greeted her with a big smile, delighted to see one of the few people she liked right now. "Welcome to my humble home, will I be tortured again with a needle? Where else are you going to talk to me about the importance of the light side of the force. She joked as she greeted her. The Jedi Master''s ears moved, a sign that she was amused by these antics. "None of that, I may have found a solution to your eating problems." Immediately the girl''s attention was captured, "Come on Yaya don''t make me languish, tell me what do you have for me with meat?" The latter placed a bag of dried grass and root in front of her. Komari took the bag and put it to her nose to sniff, she winced at the strong smell of vegetables. Then glared at the Jedi Master. "How will it solve my food problems? I want meat! I want rat or any other food that can be eaten! Do you know what survival food starts taste like? Komari complained, looking desperate. The Jedi Master nodded smiling, she had tried the survival bars and agreed that even a prisoner should never eat this. After serving a cup of hot water, she places some herbs in it. The strong smell of weed rose in the room and then she put the cup down in front of the young girl who was wincing more. "Your stomach lacks the elements that can digest the rest of the usual food. And while it''s not great, drinking root juice and snacking on dried roots can help. These are products that I and Master Yoda consume regularly, they will provide the elements that your digestive system lacks. ? While sniffing the water mixed with the herb, Komari had a nauseating reflex. But in front of the Jedi Master''s sincerity and her sympathy, she could only take it upon herself and swallow the infamous liquid. The roots dried on the other hand it was much more edible, they tasted slightly sweet, astringent and slightly bitter (cinnamon). Faced with the hardness of the root, she could only tear off small pieces with her teeth before trying to chew them and then swallow them, imagining the teeth that one had to have to eat this for 500 years, as Yaddle had done. While she was eating, she decided to question Yaddle about how Yaddle had saved her. Komari was certain that death should have awaited him, but it was still unsuitable in his eyes. "Yaya, how did you manage to save my life? I overheard a discussion between you and Dooku. Would you have used a technique of strength? ? She immediately sensed the Jedi Master''s embarrassment and embarrassment. This was surprising, because the latter, although small in size, always exuded a lack of confidence and knowledge. "You''re sure of what he said, you must have been wrong," she tried without much conviction in her voice. Komari continued to look at her with his big fluorescent green eyes. Komari concentrated to try to remember the sensation she had felt at the moment, yes, she was unconscious. She partially remembered it, it was as if her vital functions had started to slow down and then stop. "You must have used a technique that I guess is not to be proven," she guessed as she opened her eyes, "You managed to suspend my vital functions." it was not a question but a statement Yaddle was slightly surprised by this statement, but nodded. "I would like you to keep this to yourself, the technique I used is called Morichro. It allows a person''s vital functions to be suspended almost indefinitely, but there is a high risk of killing the subject. This technique was lost a long time ago but I recently managed to find it again. This is a very dangerous Komari technique, which many considered to be a technique of the dark side. She explained. Komari nodded in understanding. The issues of light and dark within the force didn''t affect her much. But if one of the few people she trusted asked her to shut up, then she would shut up. "I''ll keep my word, you don''t have to worry, you saved my life. But I would like to learn this technique one day. She said before taking another sip of the herbal infusion. And almost spat out the content which was infamous. She is delighted to see the Jedi Master''s ears twitch slightly, a sign of her contentment. Yaddle spent the rest of the day at her bedside, giving her advice on how to feel the force, and offering her books on the subject that she could borrow from the temple library. Before leaving, she again prayed for blood to carry out these tests. "Yaya!" called Komari before the Jedi Master left the room. "You''re researching me, aren''t you?" The Jedi Master nodded. Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. "I don''t really know how to tell you, but I would like the results you get from my blood and my DNA to stay between us. I''m not comfortable with the idea of anyone knowing what I am or who I am. ? "You don''t have to worry," Yaddle said, "You''ll be the first to know about the results and the only one to determine their availability. But why and are you worried about this subject? ?. Komari passed a hand behind his neck embarrassedly, "I quickly read the various regulations of the Jedi Order, I observed that our personal information could be exploited by any senator who asked for it. And I will not allow anyone to know anything about me beyond my first and last name. ?. Yaddle frowned, she had never paid attention to the legal provisions that allowed access to relevant information about the identities of members of the order to members outside the temple. She understood the problem the girl was talking about, it went beyond preserving her identity and her private life. "I thank you for raising this point, I will speak to the Council about it at our next meeting, I admit that I myself am uncomfortable with what you have just explained to me."
Unable to leave his hospital room, Komari spent the rest of his recovery meditating to work on his connection to the force or reading. Reading on Nar Shadda was limited, recipes on cans, technical information on old machines or prices of whores, plus two or three dubious information. The temple had one of the largest libraries in the galaxy, and although she had knowledge that was advancing thanks to these visions, she felt the need to know more and more. Unfortunately for her, these readings were currently limited to what you wanted to give her, Dooku and Yaddle, that is to say mainly books on the history of the temple, the history of the Republic and meditation for dummies. Nothing very exciting in itself. Even on the temple''s internal intranet, his status had limited his access to certain books. Her ordeal began to end when she finally got the green light from Yaddle to leave her hospital room. She was far from fit, these injuries still hurt, but at least she could walk without being escorted by a medical droid or one of the two Jedi Masters. Aware of these still raw injuries, Dooku made her work mainly on her leg placements. He wanted to make her work on her movements so that she would understand her own balance more. The exercise itself was tedious, but with practice, she could see the points of balance, of imbalance that she had during her movements. It was impressive to imagine how many points of imbalance there were in a single step. The exercise itself reminded him of some of the workouts that Balk the Trandoshan had made him work on before his Sojo sessions. Then, little by little, as the days progressed, he allowed him to take a training stick to practice Shii-cho. Form One, as it was called in the Order''s Manual, was the basis of all sword art among the Jedi. This preferred form of direct approach fights strikes and parries were broad and fairly basic without any sophistication, however in many ways the simplicity remained effective in any situation. Movements of this form seemed aggressive with direct attacks, but in reality it required calm and method. Frequent attacks had to push the open but in its passive form it always returned to a defensive position facilitating parrying, the whole thing was a form of balance between attack and defense. It was clear to Dooku from the first movements of his prot¨¦g¨¦, that she already mastered an unorthodox form of Shii-cho. Many of the moves she had was different but stay in the sources of inspiration of the I form. Knowing that she had been training in weapons rooms on Nar Shadda, he easily understood that she had been exposed to the art of the Trandoshan sword. An art that had been perfected in the hand-to-hand combat of the Trandoshan warriors and that bore many aspects resembled Form I. He who had expected his prot¨¦g¨¦ to be behind the other initiates on this point was pleasantly surprised to find that no, she was far from being late. While this movement was more than promising, he noticed a problem that could prove dangerous in the future. Komari had the unfortunate tendency to offer flesh in exchange for a well-placed blow. In the context where she had grown up in a place of extreme dangerousness he understood this philosophy, she had at the time every reason to seek at all costs to kill her opponents and for this to offer an opening was more than acceptable. But now he doubted this philosophy, on the one hand such openings were an unacceptable risk in his eyes. On the other hand, on Nar Shadda, he had no doubt that she would have done everything to kill her opponent by limiting the risks to find her family. So she would have been looking for a way to survive at all costs. She would have exposed herself within reason. But now his family no longer existed, he feared that he was leading a self-destructive philosophy in order to finally join his family in the grave.
Eventually, the Jedi Council decided to have him fully integrated into the Jedi curriculum. It meant only one thing to her at the beginning.... courses. The many children who resided at the temple were educated by the order, which provided them with courses on the history of the Jedi, the history of the galaxy, and other courses in general education. Komari understood that the order divided young initiates into clans, these clans formed tight-knit groups of children usually of the same age who attended the order''s Jedi courses together. But to follow the general courses, they were divided by level. Having never been to school, Komari quickly found himself with the lowest level class. The first time she entered class, she immediately felt the uncontrolled emotions of the initiates, as he looked at her with wide eyes. "or! There is aggressiveness in the air. She says to herself, not at all impressed. It seemed that some rumors had spread about him about his brief stint on the dark side as well as his confrontation with the Council. She already enjoyed a bad reputation, and she was made to feel it, insensitive to this she attended classes without much problem. Being isolated was not a problem for her, she had no interest in socializing with children as immature as her last. The classes themselves were not particularly difficult, of course being behind the others was never something pleasant so she dedicated herself body and soul to mastering as many skills as possible as quickly as possible. One of the advantages of having an eidetic memory was that she remembered everything she read very quickly. It was a definite advantage to retain the lessons although it did not help in the application of what was explained to him. The question of his placement at the center of a clan and then the cause of another turbulent debate within the Jedi Council. The clan being like a family for each initiate since it would forge very strong bonds with its peers, placing a newcomer there was not an easy thing. Initiating them created bonds of strength within one''s clans that were similar to that of a brother or sister. They studied, ate, slept, and grew up together in the clan until one of them was appointed as padawan. In the end, it was the snake clan that was assigned to her, except that she was not obliged to sleep in the same dormitory as them. It seemed that the masters of the order were flying, avoid disturbing the children with the terrible nightmares that stirred Komari''s nights. It was therefore more of an administrative attachment than a real integration within a clan. And generally she avoided doing group activities with them and in any case had never been invited to do so. "You''re not with your Komari clan," Yaddle wondered when he found her in the large library reading a book on galactic politics. Komari looked much better than when he first joined the order. A sustained but filthy diet had made the minced features of his undernourished face disappear. Exposure to the natural light of Coruscante''s surface had dulled the livid complexion of his skin. She was dressed in an initiator''s kimono of order that suited her perfectly and that contrasted greatly with the rags she had always had. She even had shoes on her feet, which was a great advance, because it took her almost a month before she agreed to put on shoes and even then she took them off very regularly, not being used to being in reach. Komari grinned disdainfully and contemptuously as he waved his hand without leaving his reading. "Children without much maturity, nor much conversation Yaya," she finally replied before putting her reading on a pile of other documents read. "What I''m reading right now is much more interesting than the activities of his ''clans'' without wanting to disrespect you." Yaddle heaved a sigh, Komari was far too cold and antisocial for people his age. This was due to his greater maturity but also to his rejection of any surrogate family. Until then her disdain for the rules of courtesy within the order had made more than one tooth grind, she only respected a limited number of people within the order and even in front of them she never granted the title of master easily. Yaddle could understand this, for in space Hutt was slaves calling their owners "masters," and Komari wasn''t ready to accept a term that instilled such a balance of power in his mind. But on a few occasions, the latter granted this formulation to some elected officials, albeit tinged with disdain. And when some unelected people complained about this flagrant lack of respect, Komari was content to stare at them without a word or expression in a silent, contemptuous judgment. It had caused more than one nervous breakdown for many Jedi or Padawan and it was surprising that so far no fight had broken out. "You should socialize with people that will do you good," she advised him, observing the various readings that Komari had on his pile. She was astonished to see galactic politics mixed with books on economics, medicine, or the art of war. These were not the usual readings of a novice or an initiate. She heard Komari muttering in unflattering terms in one of Nar Shadda''s local languages. "They certainly don''t have your majority or your experience, but they have heart, so try it, you have nothing to lose, and if you don''t do it for yourself, please do it for me," she tried to convince her. His eyes finally caught the fluorescent green eyes so disturbing and calm of the initiate who grimaced and sighed as if he were being asked to do the impossible. "Okay Yaya, I''ll try," she finally replied without much enthusiasm, which drew a smile from Yaddle who had gotten used to the idea of her diminutive. So she left the library to join her clan, but on the way she decided to take the time to make a detour. It was absolutely not to avoid joining the clan, no! Generally, initiates were entitled to free time that was used for group activities within the clan. Not inclined to do group activities, she decided that it would be far more informative to watch Jedi training rather than initiates waving their swords. She had found that observing some masters in their training was more instructive than one would have thought. The perfectly mastered movements of the various forms and the peculiarities of each were how to make a huge book on the art of the sword. X. Friend Her steps lead her through the corridors of the temple, to the weapons rooms usually used by masters or padawan who wanted to have privacy in their training. At the bend of one of these weapons rooms she saw a large Kel dor which still wore the plaid of padawan. She recognized him as a student of the Tyvokka master, Plo koon. Even though he was still a padawan, his movements were those of a master of the Djem-so, there was a grace and a fascinating fluidity in his strokes. However, he always kept his movements seemingly simple, Komari almost managed to discern the latter''s imaginary opponent. "Is the audience won over?" asked Plo koon, interrupting her training to turn to her. She could feel his astonishment at his presence. "Totally, it''s a superb demonstration even if I don''t think I understood everything. I hope I didn''t bother. She replied, nodding at him. The latter waved his hand, "Everything is fine young Komari, even if I admit that you have a particularly striking look, it''s like being watched by a predator." She smiled embarrassedly, "I apologize." "So young Komari, are you the protector of Master Dooku and the newcomer to our order?" she nodded, If even the initiates knew who she was, it was no wonder that the padawan of one of the council members knew it too. What was surprising to her was that he did not give off any aggressiveness towards her or rejection. Yet her master should have informed her of what she had done. "Komari Vosa at your service," she said, bowing comically. "Plo koon at your service," he said, making them both laugh. "You already have quite a reputation at your age. Not that I give much priority to rumors. ?. She raised her eyebrows, forcing him to explain herself. "My own owner thinks I''m too impulsive, it took a long time but I finally found my way." "Thank you for not judging me, it changes my usual hostile look." he nodded before thinking something "but you shouldn''t be with your clan?" "Yaddle asked me to make friends among the initiates and the order. But I admit to having trouble with those my age. She frowned slightly as she thought back to Yaddle''s request that she still hadn''t honored. Then she flashed a stroke of genius and looked at the Kel dor that had just left the training ground in the weapons room. "May I count you among my friends?" she asked, smiling and sincerely. The voices in her head, the visions she had had of the force, made it clear to her that he was a good one, no one even among the members of the order, a person who would not judge her without reason. Plo koon looked at her in astonishment before bursting out laughing. "Let''s be friends, young Vosa," he finally replied, holding out his hand. They finally left the art room and he took her to visit the temple, until now she had only had the opportunity to visit the level of initiates as well as the infirmary. Plo koon''s company saved her from many dark looks and the rare ones she received hard to face her new friend. She was able to discover the temple gardens as well as the hanging balconies, it was the first time she had seen plants other than mushrooms. There was something peaceful about the temple grounds, a far cry from the kind of solemn calm that haunted the temple corridors. No, it was something pleasant, sweet and sincere to her. The air was so pure and the place so quiet that she felt like she was dreaming, even the whispers had started to stop. The balconies were very impressive, she could see as far as the eye could see the world city of Coruscante expanding and expanding without ever stopping. The sun that shone was painful for her, her eyes having tolerated the darkness of the lower levels more, it was not yet adapted to such a light. But by passing her hand to hide the sun, she could see between the sun''s rays the immense structure that was the Senate of the Republic. The sight of the arrogant building immediately cooled the joy she had felt after her visit to the gardens. "Impressive, isn''t it. It is the beating heart of the Republic, the great galactic Senate. Plo koon said as he came to his side. "A rotten heart, if you will, in my opinion, that carries infested blood to the four corners of the galaxy. I fear that I am not very receptive to the idea of a Republic. Komari''s voice had grown cold, she felt within herself the disgust she felt for this incarnation of a debilitating Republic. She felt her new friend hesitate to speak, "if you want to say something, say it, I''m ready to hear it." "So I''ll be honest, I know what happened to you. And I know that people like you, who have suffered, who have lived on the margins of the Republic, have good reason to be angry with him. But I will ask you only one thing, try. ? She turned to him in astonishment, "Try it?" "Yes, try. Try to forgive. Try to take a step back, try to give him a chance. ? Plo koon''s calm tone had the effect of calming his ardor, tempering his anger. She closed her eyes and inhaled and then exhaled, relegating her anger to a small corner of her head. She felt deep down that he was right. If she wanted to move forward, she had to take a step back and accept things that before would have seemed inconceivable to her. He invited them to continue their visit. During their journey he gave him a lecture on the history of the temple as well as the changes that had shaken these walls for millennia. In a voice devoid of passion, he told her of the great schisms that saw many Jedi separate from the order for reasons of our theological or political differences. The Great Hyperspace War that saw the Jedi and the Sith clash for the first time, The Mandalorian War against the Republic that saw the Jedi order hide in neutrality. The emergence of Revan and Malak followed by many Jedi who nearly destroyed the order. The emergence of the new Sith Empire, which nearly decapitated the Jedi Order and the Republic, followed by a Cold War between the two blocs. The Great Battle of Ruusan, where the Sith were defeated and annihilated by the Jedi who were then united in what they called the Army of Light. At this time she understood that the order was in total control of the Republic, the Grand Master being the supreme chancellor. She knew from her visions that the Sith were not annihilated as Ploo kon claimed and that they had become part of the Republic. Russan''s reforms marked the return of civilian power within the Republic but also the slow decline of the latter as well as that of order. But that was his own thoughts. Plo koon''s almost mechanical speech made Komari say that Master Tyvokka must have demanded a presentation from a young Plo koon who was still traumatized to this day. But although devoid of energy, this presentation of the history of the Order of the Republic was very useful to him. The documentation she had access to within the temple was more than limited because of her status as an initiate. She couldn''t find any documents about the Jedi schism or the rise of Revan. In a sense, she understood that the order did not want these insiders to be disturbed or thought that there were other ways to follow than what the Council imposed. If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Plokoon''s opinion of Ruusan''s reforms was also very instructive, although Ruusan supported the Republic. He believed that its dependence on the Senate had ultimately made it a political tool in the service of various interests, despite the apolitical claims made by the order. Komari asked her if she could borrow his padawan accreditation while he was at the Jedi Temple to access readings that would usually be forbidden to him. The latter did not hesitate for a second to accept, she even offered to help him master the esoteric arts of strength. He revealed that at his age he had begun to seek knowledge beyond his level of accreditation and to do so he had copied the accreditation of a Jedi Knight who was regularly on missions. In his eyes, the Padawan and Initiate needed to be better prepared to face the realities of the galaxy, but that this preparation required a greater understanding of the global history of the galaxy. She already mastered telekinesis without any problem, which for an insider was surprising, but her level was not legal to that of her friend who had the way to make things fly. "My young friend, traditional methods will never suit you, you are too much..." you. he said, pointing to her. She looked to the right and to the left, then frowned. "Hey, it''s me you''re designing." but his greatest misfortune he nodded. "Too chaotic, we''ll try another method." he presented him with a tub "In this tub filled with white seeds there is a special seed, it''s green. Your job is to identify it by force and take only this grain out of the bin. ?. Komari looked at him with wide eyes before staring at the bin and then coming back to him and doing this gesture several times. She rolled her eyes. "Name of a Hutt, but how do you expect me to do that?" "You have a lot of control over brute force, but if you want to be effective you have to be precise, that''s the key to mastery. With a skill like yours, you can lift a ship, but if you''re precise, you can simply use the force to dislodge a critical part of the ship to achieve the same result. ?. As he spoke, he led out of the bin in a large green color. "Cool like that, if I want to kill someone, I don''t have to throw a blast of force in their face, but I can just crush their heart," she nodded, earning her a horrified look from Plo koon, "calm down, just kidding..." ?. She tried the exercise, closing her eyes to forcefully probe the bin full of grains, she grimaced comically not being able to visualize the good grain among them all. Even she couldn''t tell it apart from each other, they were currently a raw form that she couldn''t detail. "Don''t worry, you''ll get there in time.... It simply took me 15 years. ? Even though she considered herself patient, the exercise pushed her to its limits and she decided not to get upset to stop there. Having to practice Form I like all padawan, she asked Plo koon if he would agree to train with her. The initiates'' training regularly consisted of performing various movements in the void and then practicing them with a comrade. Everyone was normally able to identify the weaknesses of their comrade and help them remedy them. For this, the initiates all had a training lightsaber that only had the ability to stun, all except Komari who had still not received his. It was again Plo koon who remedied it, he went to his room to get his own padawan lightsaber. Unlike a training lightsaber, the weapon that entrusted it you can actually kill. It was his first sword built when he was a padawan, having become too small for him he was ready to bequeath it to Komari. He had customized the sword whose handle was made of Kashyyyk wood, the blade was made of a glass that blended into Komari''s eyes. Having her first lightsaber, she felt a childlike joy in front of the blade that crackled in front of her face. His milling in the void without any purpose greatly amusing the Kel dor who understood his state of mind without difficulty and having done the same thing with his first lightsaber. He let her play with the sword for a few minutes before calling her to order by lighting his own sword. "Well and if we start."
Mace Windu was facing Yaddle, who had called her to discuss her recent findings from Komari''s analyses. The bald master read the report silently, the more he read the more she could see his eyebrows furrowed. He sighed as he enclosed the report she had confided. "She''s not human?" he repeated in astonishment. "Absolutely not, it has the appearance and features of its DNA and not identifiable by our files. None of our databases has ever listed similar DNA. Yaddle confirmed to him, pouring him a cup of tea. "And I can certify that its life expectancy must be similar or even greater than that of my species," she continued in the same tone. At these words the stoic Windu widened his eyes with astonishment and amazement. He took a sip of tea before wincing at the taste, which reminded Yaddle of Komari''s grimace at the same tea. Although the known galaxy is vast and populated by many, many species, the majority of them had a standard life expectancy. It was very rare to find species with a longevity similar to that of Yaddle and Yoda''s breed. "That''s not all, by analyzing these muscles and bones I made a discovery. Until now, she has lived undernourished, which has an impact on them. However, they are much more developed than those of humans, I believe that it will gain a much more impressive strength than its mass suggests... ? "You mean that not only is she powerful in strength but that her physical strength will grow. As if that wasn''t already enough. The Jedi Master complained. "And for his resistance to pain?" The latter remains normal. ? "So his ability to take pain comes from his mind. Interesting. ? "If his ability then which is pain remains normal, on the other hand his regenerative capacities are frightening. I had never seen that with my own eyes. And I think that since she was malnourished and seriously injured, this kind of regeneration will take much less time in the future. In my opinion, it is much closer to the Gen''Dai than anything else on this point, except that these tissue and molecular structures are very different. ? Windu''s eyes stared into Yaddle''s, who could sense a hint of fear about the future. The Gen''Dai And being a species little known to the general public, even the Jedi had little information about them. What he did know, however, was that their formidable regenerative capacity made them terrifying warriors. The number of Jedi who died forced a Gen''dai to count. The last of this species to be identified was named Durge, he had participated in the new Sith Wars before disappearing several centuries ago following his assassination of the Mandalor. "Is she aware of this report?" "Of course, she was the first to know about it, although she hasn''t read it yet. She asked me to make it accessible only to life members of the Council. Yaddle nods as he pours him another cup of tea. "And you accepted? Without notifying the Council? For what reason. The Jedi Master wondered with reproaches in his voice. The dark gaze of the little Jedi mistress made him flinch, since he had arrived at the temple he had never seen Master Yaddle have this kind of look with anyone. The young padawan reappeared, deep down, and he lowered his head embarrassed. "I understand your astonishment, but Komari remains the sole master of his body and the information it contains. Neither the Council, nor even the Senate, nor any power, and I intend to be clear on that. She replied in a calm voice whose anger he could perceive. "So why did you share this information with me? I am not a life member of the Jedi Council as far as I know. And I remind you that I opposed its integration. ? "Simply because she allowed me to tell you about it, and I was informed by Master Dooku that you had agreed to take her in to train her in the sword for the duration of her absence. I must admit that I was surprised and delighted by your reconciliation. ? It was no mystery to anyone that the two Jedi Masters who had once been very good friends now had many differences of opinion. Windu''s appointment to the Council had sealed their dispute and definitively distanced them. In reality, if Windu had accepted his old friend''s request, it was mainly to keep an eye on Komari, whom he distrusted. He still didn''t understand why long-held masters such as Yoda, Yaddle, and Tyvokka had chosen to support Komari''s integration into the Jedi order. He didn''t see what Komari had to do for them. The prophecy? In no way was it a sufficient element although it ticks the boxes. Out of sympathy? Again, this was not a sufficient reason, nor was Dooku''s support. Then he asked the only question he could ask. "Why?" The Jedi Master didn''t answer, keeping her eyes on her cup of tea that was heating in her hands. It was long minutes before she spoke. "Each of us has our reasons. I''m afraid that Master Tyvokka saw part of his future, I think Dooku saw an image of him, he who sees the galaxy through the suffering of his people. Master Yoda saw the past, a time when some of the greatest Jedi came from different backgrounds. As for me.... I saw a child covered in blood, driven mad by pain and grief but clinging to a tiny part of humanity so as not to tip over entirely. I saw behind his aplomb the suffering but also the strength. I saw darkness but also light. ?. She quietly drank her tea, deep down it was not for the order or the good of the galaxy, or even for the strength that she wanted to protect this child. It was simply to protect a child, a child who had lost his innocence and perhaps his joy of life but a child she had sworn to protect. She thought back with a shudder to his relentless will at the moment to eliminate all traces of the dark side, even if that trace was a child. Was the light worth killing a child? Oh, she will always fight the dark side, but she swore to herself after this event on Nar Shadda to temper these acts in the face of situations that could turn out to be much more complex than appearances suggest.
Komari didn''t really like the one form in her orthodox way, she much preferred the unorthodox way she had been taught in the weapons rooms of Nar Shadda. Yet having Plo koon as a personal instructor was very rewarding, there was a world between the art of the Jedi sword and the rest. Force made it possible to do things that would otherwise be impossible. She was surprised at how quickly a Jedi could deal blows, she had seen Dooku decapitate Zolan with a movement almost imperceptible to the untrained eye. Until now, the latter was probably the fastest Jedi she had ever seen, with Plo-koon registering right behind him. He didn''t try to explain to her in words the movements she had to perform, he preferred to let her face him. Komari was delighted to finally have an opponent to test without a lightsaber but above all to exchange blows with. She still felt pain in her body but preferred to ignore it in order to chain movements that were ever faster and more complex. On her planet, she had been very discreet about the use of force during her training, considering on the one hand that it was necessary to know how to do without force as one would do without a tool. And on the other hand, that the risk was not worth the candle. But faced with a Jedi such as Plo-koon, she could finally let go. The latter intercepted the majority of the costs she bore him and sought to dodge what he did not think he could stop. From time to time a counter-attack to the point of pushing into a defensive position, which forced him to work on a much more active defense than against a normal opponent. As their exchange progressed, she finally felt alive again, slowly a smile began to appear on her face. Lost in her little world she did not see him dodged, his blow landed in the void destabilizing her and without effort he made her fall to the ground. "Well, you''re full of surprises, my friend. I never thought I''d have to fight for so long against an insider. He exclaimed, holding out a helping hand. She got up with difficulty, it seemed that she was too forced during these dodges and that one of the wounds on one of her flanks had reopened. "Still, I ate the carpet several times and you held back your blows," she snorted, slightly displeased. "Excuse me, but I didn''t expect such an opponent and I didn''t think your body was fully recovered. Considering the blood flowing from your side, I was right on this point but you can be proud. ?. "You used makashi moves, didn''t you?" she asked him, having perceived some similarities at a few points in their exchanges. The latter nodded his head. "I''m far from having the level of a master, but I find makashi to be a pleasant form. It is the best way to face an enemy similar to oneself, and it is a form that requires attention and a special mastery excellent for concentration. ? "If you reduce this to a new method of concentration, I''m afraid that Dooku, if he hears you, will make you see green and not ripe." At these words, Kel dor made what she guessed was a grimace, and then he rubbed his head. "Between us, how do you manage not to be afraid of him? All padawans and initiates fear it. He shuddered at his words. "And you just call him Dooku," he shook his head, visibly dismayed by the girl''s lack of respect and recklessness. Komari shrugged, "I don''t understand why you''re afraid of him. He may be stern but never mean. You should fear Yaya more when she sees how you managed to hurt me. Oh you horrible monster, you didn''t even have pity on a child boo ooh ooh. She took on the position of a victim regardless of her wounded rib. This drew a sneer from the Kel dor who quickly regained awareness of the storm that was about to fall on him. Even though she was the one who had injured herself while forcing herself despite her condition, he was a padawan, he was older than her and was responsible for it. "Oh, you don''t want anyone to say a word to Master Tyvokka. Or he might have the idea of asking you for a presentation on the responsibility of the padawan towards the youngest initiates. She continued, limping towards the exit of the training room. "Wouldn''t you dare? Don''t do that, you monster. Plo koon shouted at her as he ran to catch her. XI. Snake clan To Plokoon''s misfortune, they could not escape Yaddle''s wrath, as she had caught them infiltrating the main infirmary with the help of medical droids. The state of Komari''s injuries was not worrying, and a few stitches had been blown off. Nothing that the young girl could take, nothing that would put her in danger. But that wasn''t why she was angry, she was furious at the girl''s unconsciousness, she at the padawan''s irresponsibility. Plo koon waited quietly on his knees face against the wall with his arms raised above his head, he had been maintaining this position for nearly an hour. "What went through your mind to tell you that it would be a good idea to drag an initiate into a sword fight with you? What''s more, an insider who is still hurt. The Jedi Master scolded as she applied scar tissue to the wounds of the young girl Komari. "And you! Didn''t I tell you to make friends? ?. Komari grimaced, "Technically, I''ve made a friend. And if you want to know everything, he is currently facing a wall with his arms above his head. She nodded at Plo Koon. "I was hoping you''d make friends among the initiates, not the padawan," Yaddle sighed, "but I guess it''s a start." "You''re not going to tell his master, are you?" Komari tried, but seeing Yaddle''s lack of reaction she continued, "He was very considerate, he showed me around the temple, gave me a superb presentation on the history of the order. And with these tips I feel that I have progressed on the mastery of force telekinesis, he has a method of his own that I find corresponds to me more than that of order. ?. In front of Komari''s big fluorescent green eyes, Yaddle sighed again. She should honestly report the padawan''s actions to her master. But as she listened to Komari, she realized that he had been much more open with her than all the Jedi or initiates so far. That he took it upon himself to initiate him into the strength and history of the Jedi Order could only be applauded. On the other hand, that he is left the child trains with him in a duel was much less so. "Komari, I have a responsibility to communicate this incident to his master. But I don''t think he should be punished for that, he couldn''t know for your injuries that you behave like a person who doesn''t have any. Despite everything, there must be consequences, so I think and I will wait for the answer of his master, that it would be healthy for him to help you integrate into the order so that you can spend time talking. As she said this, she gave Plo Koon a long look, then turned her head. Komari lifted the 2 pushes in the air towards his new friend, the latter replied in the same way before returning to stare at the wall being still punished. As usual, she did not wait for the wounds to fully heal before leaving the infirmary. She and Plo Koon spent the next week exploring the various intricacies of force bending under the supervision of Master Yaddle and occasionally Master Tyvokka. Although she had already seen the great Wookiee in the Jedi High Council Chamber, she had not been able to pay much attention to him. So the first time she saw the latter she was impressed by his size, as Plo koon will say she seemed tiny compared to the wookiee of more than two meters. Wookiees were large by nature, with a massive morphology accentuated by their thick fur. For her part, having been undernourished all her life, she seemed very tiny in comparison. To Plo Koon''s astonishment when they met, neither of them spoke, but Komari stood in front of the giants without a word, his eyes planted in the Wookiee''s. The force was whispering in her head, she was sure of it, he had powers of premonition. However, the voices continued to tell him that the great Wookiee''s powers were nothing compared to his own, he had to concentrate to be able to feel the future and the force gave him vague intuitions that could guide him during situations. And these visions to come were far too blurry unlike the one she was receiving. She considered talking to him about her own visions for a moment to see if he had any advice, but she retained. Her intuition and the voices in her head screamed at her that no one in the Jedi Order should know about these visions or she would never be able to leave these walls again. Tyvokka was the complete opposite of his padawan, he was loath to use the Jedi and unlike his padawan he was not modest or polite. His very direct attitude more immediately to Komari. She had never seen a Wookiee on Nar Shadda, but she didn''t lack knowledge about them. Some of it came from her mind, and some of it came from the long hours she''d spent listening to sweeping the weapons room, Balk the Trandoshan boasting that he came from a long line of Wookiee hunters. "You''re probably the tallest person I''ve ever seen so far, sir," she said, smiling, her head raised as much as possible to be able to stare at the Wookiee. "And you, the messiest initiate I''ve ever met. Beware of your actions, Komari, for here they will be judged without mercy. Master Tyvokka replied in a particularly deep voice. Instead of being worried about the Wookiee''s warning, Komari smiled, "Finally Jedi who has the balls to speak frankly, it makes her feel good." These words made poor Plo Koon''s head turn violently, and he stared at her wide-eyed. Eyes that almost came out of their sockets when his master began to laugh out loud. Master Tyvokka proved to be an excellent teacher, as was his young padawan. Komari was astonished to learn that he did not teach the initiated, even though he had much better methods than the few teachers who gave lessons to the initiates. In the end, the reason was simple and quite comical in his eyes, the large massive build embellished with the big teeth of the wookiee literally frightened the initiated. Taking a step back, she understood that she herself should have been frightened by the mass that was Tyvokka. Yes, the Wookiees were scary to most people. Perhaps she had seen far too many terrifying things in those few years and through these visions to be impressed by him. It turned out that the initiates at this stage of their training did not have a great mastery of the force, they were just discovering the subtleties of it. Many of the exercises therefore focused not on the ability to feel the force but on the ability to interact with it. Where Komari''s abnormal development allowed him to send pushes by force or lift several objects. The one of the initiates allowed them to lift several small objects and to send weak pushes by force. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. As such, the Wookiee did not make him work on the brutal development of strength, instead he decreed that he had to focus on subtlety and perfect mastery. In addition to the tray full of seeds, Komari had to deal with several exercises that required subtlety. One of them was simply called the sliding stone, it had to control its force enough to send a stone back into a small circle to the ground but using enough force during the push so that it would only stick out and stop in the circle. A seemingly simple exercise, complex in fact, it required a very good mastery of the impulses of force it gave. With Yaddle''s consent, Tyvokka set out to initiate him into the sixth form of the Djem-so sword. This form included what could be called a jack-of-all-trades or versatile form. A hybrid style taking elements of the main shapes while trying to keep a balance. After a few days of practice, she quickly understood that this form was not very suitable for lightsaber combat or the battlefield, it was more suitable for small threats. She appreciated it, however, the jack-of-all-trades side and the great versatility of the art which left a lot of room for improvisation, there was also a lot of altitude to incorporate force attacks. Even without these visions, she knew deep down that a practitioner of this form was not equipped to face the looming threats. On the other hand, this form could be a gateway to many other forms, more than an art in itself. She already saw the possibilities of using two swords in certain movements and some similarities with the art of the Trandoshan staff.
Komari had enjoyed the time spent with Plo Koon and her master, but at Yaddle''s insistence, she could only go her way to her clan. After watching them train for several days, she was left with her first opinion. Between the contacts she had had with them and the ways in which they interacted, she is too narrow, oblivious, and detached from the realities of the galaxy. She understood that it was not their fault, at least in part. They had been raised all their lives in the temple without ever leaving it and without a critical look at what was happening outside. Their entire worldview was based on the reality they perceived within the temple. When she entered the armoury occupied by her clan once again, she felt their hostility and rejection that she inspired in them. Members of the Snake Clan would fight each other or practice drones. On this point, Komari must admit that they were much more talented than her. She did not have the reflex to parry the shots of the drones, preferring to avoid them by far. It was an instinctive act, partly due to the fact that she knew very well the pain of a blaster shot and that she couldn''t forget it for the moment. As usual in recent days, she observes the initiates without saying anything, analyzing their movements and behaviors. When her instincts informed her that a threat had arrived, she did a pirouette and dodged a drone strike in the process. In her movement she frowned inwardly. The area where it was was not in the axis of the drone fire. She quickly understood that the shot had been intentionally deflected towards her, and she confirmed this in front of the disappointed looks and smiles of the novices. "They did it on purpose, those little idiots!" she shouted, inwardly furious at this attack. However, she keeps a face devoid of emotion in front of them, waiting for the sequel which would not be long in coming. "Sorry, this is an accident," said one of the initiates, waving his hand with a big smile on his face, totally contradicting his excuse. "A blissful accident, Sith," he finally said. "Well, you can be an idiot, you''re not good with your sword," she sighed, already feeling tired from the immaturity she was facing. If she were a Sith, they would have already killed all. "I''m pretty well dressed!" shouted the initiate in a rather high-pitched and uncertain voice. She knew that she shouldn''t make the situation worse, that it was immature of her. Yet she could not hold back her smile at the initiate''s rapid loss of composure. She had just discovered that insiders were not used to someone upsetting their ordinary. "Express yourself more clearly, I didn''t hear very well because you were so high-pitched. And be careful, you risk breaking a window with such a voice. she continued. The initiate began to blush as he stammered, and tried to secure his voice so that it would not rise to the high notes. "Confront me, Sith!!". Komari raised an eyebrow at the initiate''s dueling proposal. She knew that she had promised not to fight. But the voice in his head was screaming at him "him and calm down once and for all this bunch of little idiots!!". Yes, letting off steam was going to do him good. To the encouraging cheers of her comrades, the initiate attacked her without waiting for her to equip her sword. She didn''t even blame him for the trickery, it would be something she would do herself. Her movement was so wide that she could easily dodge it with a step to the side. With a quick glance she checked that her own sword was well adjusted to the training so as not to inadvertently cut the initiate. The latter tried to deliver two more attacks on her, which fell into the void as she moved. There was so much openness in these movements that at first Komari thought he wanted to set a trap for her. Dodging another flurry of blows she understood that no, there was just no experience and just repeating katas by heart. Of course, the movements would be good during a presentation, but in fact they were too telegraphed, visible from the first moment. While she was thinking about this discovery and she did not respond to his attacks, the initiate gained confidence in himself and accelerated these movements still without managing to touch her. Still, facing a novice in the art of fighting was actually a good exercise, she thought. Because they are always full of surprises and energy, so as much to encourage him as to annoy him, she did not try to go faster or stronger than him, even preferring to be slower than him to work on her own flaws. On the surface, it gave the impression that she was totally dominated by her opponent''s attack. So as a result, his comrades were shouting encouragement at his opponent. After another dodge she decided that it was time for her to counterattack, quickly the trend changed still without hurrying she slowly pushed him away. He managed to present him with a more than acceptable defense but still full of flaws. She had the opportunity to kill him once but continues to slowly push him back towards the wall. In a somewhat desperate gesture, he tried to send her a push of force that only crashed against her without doing anything. Then, panicked, he tried to rush at him by waving his sword. She swept his legs with a kick sending him to the ground. As he fell, he dropped his lightsaber and then quickly crawled to try to catch him. With her heel she crushed his hand, extracting from him a cry of pain, her sword came to bear before the face of the initiate. "You''re a cheater!" he exclaimed indignantly, and she replied in the same tone with a cold smile, "No, I''m Komari Vosa!" His victory cast a blank followed by an outburst of uncontrolled anger among the clan members present. Indifferent to the dark look she was given, she told herself that to make friends it was a failure. To tell the truth, she considered that she had been very magnanimous, her instinct pushed her to be much more violent. She could have broken his nose, jaw or teeth with well-placed blows. This small event did not really change the dynamic between them and the rest of the clan. She remained the pariah, the only good thing was that no one dared to insult her or even look at her for too long. She spent the next hour meditating at a distance from the group, it was in her meditation in the heart of the force that she felt someone approaching her. Unlike the other initiates, she did not feel any rejection or disgust emanating from this new presence. The only feelings she could feel were curiosity mixed with hesitation. Opening one eye, she could observe a young girl about her age standing in front of her. Komari immediately noticed that she had a horizontal scar that blocked her face under her eyes at the level of her nose. She had a particularly white skin with equally white hair similar to hers, her eyes were a particularly cold blue. With these few Komari elements more quickly estimating the race to which the girl belonged, she must have been an Echani. "Are you Komari, Nar Shadda''s daughter?" Komari noted that there was hesitation in the girl''s voice. Searching through her memory, she couldn''t remember ever seeing this girl participate in the activities of the snake clan. "It''s really me and what can I do for you?" "I heard that you defeated Antonius easily," the girl said. Komari nodded, wondering where the conversation would lead. The young girl licked her lips, visibly hesitant, and then she pulled herself together. "You have a good level at sabre, could you help me improve?" Komari opened her mouth to answer her, but she continued, "It''s because I saw that you didn''t have a training partner and I''m having a hard time finding one. It must be said that I''m not very accepted among others, a bit like you. ?. Komari was surprised by such openness and frankness from the girl she barely knew. This has changed him from the aggressive or contemptuous insiders. "I admit that I''m surprised, I''m used to rejection from your classmates." The girl scratched her head, "They''re stupid and childish. I was in the same situation as yours. I end up believing that they really need a Bata head. In addition, you have a great reputation. ? In front of Komari''s intrigued face, she explained, "It seems that you are particularly powerful in the force, even if the masters try to keep it to themselves, everyone knows about it. The Council has integrated you despite the protocols and despite your reputation. But above all, everyone says that you killed a lot of people and something would have used the powers of the dark side. ? Faced with these explanations, Komari understood somewhat the reasoning of the initiates of his clan and some Jedi. She was an exception within the order because of her exceptional integration and use of the dark side on Nar Shadda. The information had filtered to the ears of some people who had then formed their own opinion on the matter. Finally Komari nodded his head "I don''t have a partner, I have nothing against the idea of helping you but what would I gain from it?" the girl smiled "I''m not bad myself in the blaster fire parade, I saw you hesitate while looking at the drones. So I guess you''re struggling in this area. ?. Komari he showed a comical grimace, indeed she did not have a great talent and preferred to avoid being shot. Without waiting for his answer, the girl continued, "I hope you''re not against a friend?" these words surprised Komari who started to giggle before bursting out laughing. After a good three minutes she held out a hand to the girl which he took without hesitation. "I am Komari Vosa." "Tola Kina nice to meet you." XII. Training Unlike her classmates, Tola remained inexpressive most of the time, at least on the surface. Komari she was amazed at how easily she could feel the intensity of her new comrade''s emotions. It was a strange contrast between his apparent calm and his real inner feelings. If he was a little apprehensive the first few days, the two girls finally adapted to each other quite quickly. Tola''s company was strangely pleasant to her, the latter was usually as talkative as she was, which meant not at all. They could spend long hours practicing without saying anything or reading each other''s classes without a word. Academically, Tola was what you could call a very good student, she knew the Jedi teachings by heart and had excellent grades in all these subjects. Quite the opposite of Komari who, despite her knowledge and skills as well as her eidetic memory, had a variable interest in the various subjects she followed. Only the courses and teachings that she liked or that interested her were worthy of interest in her eyes, the rest she abandoned either by choice, or because she couldn''t understand the logic of certain things. As such, the teachings on morality and virtue that every initiate was obliged to follow literally passed over his head. Not that she doesn''t understand the difference between good and evil or the gray areas that go with it. It was that she could not string any values to the principle of mercy, forgiveness, or humanity as taught by the order. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn''t agree with their values and therefore preferred to answer the exams honestly. Tola read with an impassive face the answers made by Komari to their last exam on the subject of morality and virtues. No matter how impassive she was, Komari can feel her disbelief when she read her answers. It must be said that she had answered honestly as best she could. "To question number three, what is the value of a life? Did you answer, it depends? She glared at her, but he shrugged. "From a realistic point of view, life has no value to begin with. Then we add variables, social class, race, education, and the very value that this life creates within society. But from another point of view, as they say about Nar Shadda, life is only worth the price of the weapon that took it. ? Tola opened her mouth to answer him before finally closing it, she had quickly understood by dint of being around her friend that it was almost impossible to make him listen to reason about these personal values. "You could have at least softened your words. To one of the questions you explain that the use of violence is quite valid as a means of negotiation. ? "Ah, you know what they say, it''s better to negotiate with a blaster in your hand than without," Komari replied, smiling at him, "and I didn''t make you read my report so that you could judge my answers, but so that you could help me correct my mistakes. Why does the order make us write so much, I''m starting to have a sore hand, I''ve written more in six months than in eight years. she complained, shaking her hand. Tola rolled her eyes but obeying, only these emotions allowed Komari to know that she found some of these answers far too scandalous. She was right, she could have lied or softened her words. But if she could do bad things, she prefers to remain honest most of the time, it avoided many complications. An honesty can be brutal and cruel, but an honesty that is necessary in his eyes. It was perhaps one of her mother''s few wishes that she still respected. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see some of the ghostly shapes that haunted her, staring at her without a word. Since she had arrived at the temple, the ghosts had stopped talking, but not the whispers and seeing in her head. She had realized a little with horror that some of these visions had stopped looping in her head, while being replaced by others as if fate had changed slightly. At least one of those destinies. These visions of the past, they always turn in his head in a blurry way, without plastering, Ice understand all the aspects. The best way for her to ignore her memories and visions was to immerse herself in training and studying. She yawned as she stood up, which attracted her friend''s attention. "Did you train again last night?" asked Tola. One of the fluorescent green-eyed girl''s routines was to spend the majority of the night repeating these movements with a sword. It differed from these visions, for his nights were haunted by his nightmares, Komari saw his family again and again and this time their ghost spoke to him. So she couldn''t sleep, she didn''t want to sleep, she dreaded sleeping. Until now, she had only managed to sleep four hours a night, spending the rest of her time training. Tola was one of the few people aware of this state of affairs, and he was grateful that he hadn''t told anyone about it. Komari understood his lightsaber as he shook his shoulders to start warming up. "Come on, let''s go to training."
In sabre Tola was a completely different level than his comrades, despite the lack of regular training partners. Komari had been right in her analysis of her cultural heritage, she was a dignified Echani and proud fighter. His people were a matriarchal society from a world located in the inner rim and made up of a configuration of six worlds known as the Six Sisters. They were a martial people who considered the art of combat as an art of life in its own right, from the point to the spear everything was used as a weapon. But it was also a way for them to read feelings and communicate through their struggles, it was even said that when two lovers wanted to fall in love with each other they had to fight the fight of their lives. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. For these reasons Tola had a lot of potential, at times she could even move faster than Plo koon, which did not fail to surprise Komari. And just like her, Tola didn''t hesitate to go into melee combat during these fights and use the points when it was useful. "Your feet are badly positioned and go into her feet!!" she reminded her as she forced her to back away in a few strokes. "Your balance is bad, it affects your attacks." Komari dodged an attempted lunge followed by a shoulder blow from Tola without stopping talking. Tola was slightly unbalanced and tried to quickly recover by following Komari''s advice, then she landed two quick blows that were parried by her opponent. Before she could attack, Tola raised a hand to stop the fight. "Wait, wait, I have to catch my breath," she asked, exhausted by the intensity of the exchange that had taken place. "It hasn''t been very long already?" Komari wondered, barely out of breath. "At the level of an initiator, it''s too Komari. I need a break. Tola exclaimed, dropping to the ground, covered in sweat. Komari realized that she was training with her friend as she did on Nar shadda away from the quieter styles of the temple. To him, it was an indicator of a level of training in the Jedi Order. That she could judge from these visions as far too insufficient to reassure her about the Jedi''s ability to withstand a future shock. She had nothing against meditation or the courses taught at the temple, even if they didn''t always understand them. The problem was that the Jedi were used to the long period of peace that had been going on since the great reforms. This had made them favor less aggressive and more visual weapons defending diplomacy, peace, without the sword. "Frankly, if you want to survive, you have to exceed the standards of the Order. The galaxy is not kind. She said, executing two perfectly mastered movements of Form I followed by a slight push of force. She nevertheless sensed her comrade''s skepticism and explained herself. "There are plenty of individuals or organizations that are capable of killing Jedi. The Mandalorians, the cousins of your people, the Sunguard, the Night Sisters, independent mercenaries, or a simple asshole with a blaster who gets lucky. She enumerated before sitting next to Tola. In all honesty, she liked and began to get attached to Tola, for this she did not want the latter to be like the majority of Jedi too confident in her abilities. Yes, the galaxy was cruel, she knew it personally. "Where did you get your movements? It resembles form one but remains very particular. Tola asked, trying to divert the conversation. "These from some of the base city masters of the lower levels of Nar shadda." she received without too many details as an answer. In fact, Komari had compared his training duration with that of the rest of the initiates of the order. She has been training since she was four years old like the majority of initiates, with the difference that the training she had received had been much tougher than that provided by the temple. The various fencing masters she had met had never hesitated to hit her to make her understand her mistakes. He had put her in situations where she had to face others, the students much older and stronger than them, forcing her to draw on all her resources to get by. These were methods far from the standards of the temple. Finally, feeling sorry for her comrade, she decided to change her training to face the drones. Tola takes great pleasure in seeing her struggle with them. "Feel the Komari force, feel the moment when the shooter leaves, don''t wait for it," she taunted her just before a drone hit him. Komari did not flinch at the weakened laser contact. The pain was nothing compared to that of a real blaster shot. Yet it annoyed her, she had a block concerning the interception of shots, each time these memories came back to the surface. She dodged the majority of shots instead of intercepting them, which was not expected by training. That his comrade was having fun and her difficulties was not a problem for her, but her own inability to deflect the shots was beginning to seriously annoy her. "Come on, it''s not complicated, damn it!" she growled inwardly, concentrating more. She felt the shot go off, but at the same time ghostly screams came up and made her lose her concentration. The shot hits her again, she ended the training, feeling that her anger was about to explode. It wasn''t the first time she had gotten upset about the training, nor had she been shot at by one of the drones. The very first time she had been shot from a blaster in training, she had to slip away to vomit in the toilet in the face of painful memories. The second time, she had simply reduced the training drone to parts using force. She was aware that getting angry about it wouldn''t bring her anything, she had to take her time even if her ego took a hit. "If you want, we can ask Plo Koon for help when he comes back from the mission," Tola tried to reassure her, patting her on the shoulders, well aware of her blockages. She and the Keldor had quickly become good friends, their style being very similar, the latter''s master had graciously accepted Tola in the side training he gave to Komari. Komari heaved another sigh, it wasn''t just his training that was causing him problems. She had read the medical report that Yaddle had made about her, and the result had surprised him. It had not expected to be an unknown species. In her visions and memories of a past life, Komari Vosa was a simple human with little particularity other than her madness. But she had to recognize that the Komari Vosa of her past visions wasn''t quite the same as her current self. Where she had white hair, her alter ego of the past had blonde hair. Where his eyes were fluorescent green, his alter ego had them blue. Where she had lived on Nar shadda, the other vision of the past, she had grown up in the temple. And yet she was certain that she was Komari Vosa, at least a different version of Komari Vosa with what seemed to be pretty much the same fate. The only thing that could bind them together was the seeds of madness that sprouted in their minds. That and what she called the "memories" of her alter ego, which were different from her visions or dreams. It was her memories without being her own, she felt the sensations at times as her alter-ego had felt them. One of the problems with her genetic peculiarities was that she didn''t know how her body would age, or how her peculiarities would take effect. She dreaded having to age like Yaddle''s species, that is, to be five to fifty years old. And from what she understood, it would take almost 10 years until she came of biological majority for all these skills and particularities to emerge. She was still physically as weak as any child. She felt the force approaching the weapons room they were currently using. Because of the bad relations they both had with the rest of their clan, they preferred to train away from the group in old training rooms. So it was rare for anyone to come and disturb them. She raised eyebrows as she recognized the approaching presence. Entered the Windu room with his eternal stoic look on his face. "Initiate Komari." was the only thing that came out of his mouth. "Mr. Windu," she replied in the same tone. Unlike many Jedi, Windu did not seem bothered by the absence of his title of master, even his emotions were calm. At that fateful moment, she made a great resolution to do everything in her power to crack this mask. "What''s the value of a visit from a member of the Council?" she asked, amused to see Tola''s usually expressionless face crack with a hallucinatory look at his lack of respect for a representative of order. "As you know, Master Dooku has gone on a mission. Unfortunately the Council had to send him on other operations that required his attention. While waiting for his return, you are entrusted to my care. ? This time Komari no longer held back his astonishment and amazement. "He entrusted you with my training? He? You? What the hell did I think you were in the cold? ? The Jedi Master sighed, "Listen, I''ll be honest, I voted against your integration into the order. I remain convinced that you are a threat to us. ? At his words she smiled at him, flattered by her consideration. Komari had no doubt that he, the representative of the traditionalist wing of the order, was against an aberration like her within his organization. "Master Yoda advised me to train you, on the one hand to keep an eye on you, and on the other hand because it will be a good experience for me according to him." "Or a test," Tola said unintentionally, before putting a hand to his mouth, flabbergasted by his statement. Windu and Komari looked at him, raising their eyebrows, the initiate intimidated by their gaze lowered his eyes to stare at his feet. "Well, as our young friend Tola here said, it will be a test for both of us. I will be happy to train with him, I admit to encountering some difficulties in my training despite his help. ? She gave in, preferring to avoid confrontation with him. She was here to learn and don''t miss any opportunity to learn. "I did sense your frustration," he nodded, "I think young Tola''s advice is going in the right direction." Tola must have been far past her threshold of expression for the year, turning bright red in the face of the Jedi Master''s compliments and began to stammer. This makes Komari laugh. "You don''t have to feel embarrassed, initiate Tola, succeeding in informing is not easy," Windu blurted out. Then he turned his attention back to Komari, frowning. "When I came here, I was able to read your work in class on morals and virtue. Some of your teachers alerted me to your answers," Tola''s elbow gently hits her in the ribs. A gesture that meant I told you so. Komari gave the Jedi Master an innocent smile. "Really? I don''t see why I answered honestly. In a dramatic gesture, she put her hand to her heart, "Do you doubt my sincerity? ? Komari''s antics then drew him a dark look from the Jedi Master who crossed the edges in his chest. "No, I doubt your motives." Not intimidated, Komari imitated the Jedi''s gesture by crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Oh and what motivation would I have?" she replied, smiling. It was clear that this smile was cold and provocative. Ignoring the two Tola swallowed with difficulty in the face of the silent confrontation that was taking place. She was aware of the general lack of respect that her friend had for authority, but this was bordering on madness. Windu was an intimidating figure for the initiated, he was mostly stoic with a scowl on his face. None of the initiates of his age and even the padawan wanted to rub it so badly. However, before her eyes was a silent confrontation of gaze, between an initiate and a member of the Jedi Council. A part of her wanted to hide so as not to witness what was to follow but curiosity pushed her to stay. She would never confess to him but she was impressed by Komari''s self-confidence. "Master, having read Komari''s assignment, I can understand that it is difficult to accept, but the answer itself was free, I don''t think she was at fault." But neither of them took their eyes off each other. "It''s not the form of duty that bothers him, Tola," Komari said, his eyes still fixed on the dark-skinned Jedi, "it''s on the meaning of my answers, he doesn''t seem to appreciate my honesty. This is perhaps the element that bothers him the most. He knows that I answered honestly. And for him my opinions are more than dangerous. Am I wrong, Master? ? She pressed the word Master wryly, "He doesn''t agree with the idea that you have to crush skulls in order to negotiate, that you have to threaten and kill." Slowly she raised the lightsaber she was carrying on her hip to everyone''s eyes. "He doesn''t agree and yet he carries a sword that allows him to negotiate, frighten and kill. In a sense, the question is rather where is the legitimate violence? And how to control or measure this violence. ? In fact, the Jedi did not renounce the use of violence, they even recognized its usefulness. She knew it, you just had to read their archives to understand. They had used violence on many occasions, the most recent and most significant events being the Mandalorian genocide, also known as Mandalorian excision or Dral''Han. A campaign of preemptive annihilation of the Mandalorians by the Jedi that had sterilized all the planets belonging to the Mandalorian people and imposed the ideology of the new Mandalorian. The biggest difference between it and order was that order justified all its acts of violence by questions of morality, or justified them by the question of the common good. "I will not discuss this point with you, initiate. And I''m not really here for that, we''re going to have to review the doctrines of the Jedi Order together and instill them in you. In the voice of Master Windu, I was calm, in no way affected by Komari''s words. "Young Tola you can arrange, I and your comrade have things to see." XIII. Mace Windu Tola''s courage was to be recognized, and she tried to face the Jedi Master''s gaze as best she could in a brief attempt to become one with her friend. And despite his aplomb, Komari felt these emotions and his discomfort. She gently placed her on the shoulder to reassure her "it''s nice of you but listen to it. We have things to talk about. ? Tola cast a reluctant glance at her before nodding and slipping away. Once she was certain that she was gone, she redirected all her attention to the Jedi Master. "Now that she is gone, we can let go of pretense," she said, "I hope you don''t expect me to abide by all the rules of your order. I had warned the Council, I will remain who I am even if it should shock you. ? "And we agreed that you should try to adapt. And so far I don''t think you''ve made much effort. Windu retorted with his arms still crossed, "I recognize that you are right on some points, the use of force is a solution. But this is not the solution that we must teach our initiates. This is not the solution you have to address for every problem. ? He pointed to the sword he had at his hip, "This weapon, as you describe it so well, is indeed a means of negotiation, but it is a means that the Jedi must use sparingly or let themselves be drawn into a spiral of violence. You are not ignorant of violence, so you know where the limits are that should not be crossed. ? Komari didn''t answer, preferring to see where to take this conversation, part of her was surprised to see the Jedi Master partly agreeing with her. She also had to recognize his approach, his use of violence, an approach that she knew but did not currently think about in order to be able to implement. "Although a large part of the moral and virtue courses is, I understand, indigestible, they are necessary to understand the limits that must not be crossed and the rules that we must hold onto. Your honesty and all your honor I recognize you, but I think your motivations for using violence are biased. And particularly dangerous in the current context, you are no longer on the Nar Shadda, everything here is not just about breaking or being broken. ? Komari tilted her head to the side, and then again he was right, so far she had solved most of the problems she had encountered with initiates through violence. Certainly a controlled violence, but a violence nonetheless. "You know, it''s hard to forget reflexes, and the atmosphere in the temple doesn''t help at all. There are too many pretenses, empty smiles. So far I have mostly felt distrust and rejection towards me, probably because of my use of the dark side I admit. she replied, smiling, "then do not be too surprised if I answer to provocations in my own way, and answer honestly your moral examinations ." I haven''t even been here six months and you already want me to look like any insider. She screamed her last words louder than she would have liked as she spread her arms. Windu frowned at his statements, he remained thoughtful for a moment before correcting himself. "Our welcome was indeed not entirely cordial, this is a point that we will review and indeed to judge at the level of the other initiates following in such a short period of time within the order was ill-advised, I apologize." Komari nodded to him in thanks, they had cleared up a good part of the problem and the fact that he acknowledged that there had been mistakes or haste was quite honest on his part. She was beginning to think that the stoic Jedi master with the bald head might be more accommodating than people said. "Now that this point has been clarified, we will return to the use of violence," he said, lighting his lightsaber in a movement she hadn''t even noticed. Two feelings were arguing with her, on the one hand was slightly terrified to see a Jedi Master firing his gun with her in the room alone. If the latter wanted to kill her and hide the body would have been quickly done, that''s what she would do... And being one of those who had voted against her integration, this kind of action on her part made her suspicious. Another part of her, the one mixed with her seeds of madness and her voices, howled with joy. His mind told him that this master was a real threat with a sword in his hands and that he absolutely had to face him. She quickly chased away her thoughts to concentrate. "Why did you draw your weapon?" The Jedi Master pointed the blade at the ground slightly forward, "Because I''m going to show you the limits of the use of violence and I want to see your potential." Despite all this attempt to control himself, a big smile appeared on Komari''s face. She was going to face one of the best sabre fencers of her generation. It was going to be a most rewarding experience for her, the voices in her head were screaming with joy when she drew her saber. Until now she was rarely able to train intensely with an opponent, Plo Koon had learned her lesson and fear that she would have to face Yaddle for this he held back his blows or refused too intense commitments. Master Tyvokka was not interested in a duel, he mainly taught him the ways of force. As for Tola, although she is gifted, Komari could not lash out at her without risking hurting her. Komari delivered three blows with great speed, which Windu dodged by backing up and then changing direction. She quickly recovered herself by trying to target his legs in order to reduce his mobility as she had been taught. This time, the master effortlessly unleashes his attacks before launching into a relentless counterattack that took her by surprise. She herself had to back off while parrying the attacks, strangely the Jedi Master''s movements were not particularly fast, they always arrive at the right time enough for her to be in danger. The most terrifying thing was the mass of her blows, she felt like she was being hit by a hammer every time she appeared. If Plo koon was at his level a terrifying opponent, he was nothing against Windu who was a much more implacable opponent. It was like facing a Tank that was slowly moving forward while delivering powerful blows. Komari tried to throw a force thrust on his leg to destabilize him. He responded with a thrust of the same intensity and much wider that pushed her back two meters. Undeterred she leapt to deliver a broken shot downwards, her shot was parried again but foreseeing this she did a pirouette to find herself behind him. This movement forced him to roll to the side to avoid a back attack that passed very close. Unfortunately for her, this genre of techniques only worked once. After two minutes she was swimming, drenched in sweat and out of breath, her clothes showed small traces of burning, a sign that the sword had passed right by. Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Those of his opponent were intact. It was reaching its limits. As she looked at her opponent whom he was waiting for, she had a kind of vision, like a filter, modeled on reality. She saw her opponent but also other indistinguishable forms such as ghosts, the latter and repeating various sword movements that she recognized as the Vaapad. The Vaapad was one of the hardest forms to master with the makashi, with the difference that the Vaapad required him to draw deeply into his emotions at the risk of often being overwhelmed by them. One of the doctrines of the Vaapad was to dominate violence before being dominated by it. It was the first time she had seen such a vision modeled on reality, normally she would either see the ghosts of her family or she would be deep into these visions. Never before had a lucid vision. She was far from mastering the very basics of this form, but she could imitate certain movements to try to destabilize her opponent. Closing her eyes, she focused on her visions, ignoring her opponent, drawing from within herself from these emotions. Windu hesitated, surprised to see the young initiate in front of him take a guard that was very familiar to him. And to say, the initiate and the master had a totally similar guard like a perfect mirror. He saw despite all the many flaws in this imitation of his guard but it continued to surprise him, it was certain that the young initiate had never studied or seen a practice of Vaapad. Stranger still, he felt Komari''s strong emotions shrink until they became imperceptible, without much fluctuation, which was again surprising for an initiate. Komari''s assault surprised him because there too he took up all the movements of the vaapade, He seems extremist a series of blows. She twirled around him without letting him respite. Slowly, Windu was pushed back to the end of the training ground by Komari, whose mind kept madly ordering him to go faster and faster. She had to surpass herself, go beyond her current condition to go ever further. In this exchange she felt good like when she had faced Plo koon, all her senses were alert capturing the smallest details, the slightest sensations. She slowly felt that she was one with the vaapad, it was as if her consciousness was melting into her movements, it was an exhilarating sensation. It was on fire with exaltation. But if his opponent had been surprised, he quickly recovered from the shock, pushing it back in a great movement before attacking in turn. The latter''s instinct told her that she could go even further by drawing deeper into her emotions. It was at this moment that she perceived the dangerous limit which, once crossed, was not likely to overwhelm her, immersing herself totally in her emotions at that moment was enticing but she might not get out of it. Instead, she decided to change tactics, after another affectionate battle she sent her saber in the direction of the Jedi. Windu saw the sword fly towards his head, dodged it in extremis only to see Komari kick him jump right in the plexus. He turned on himself to cushion the blow while at the same time seeing his opponent walking in the distance. She rolled to the ground before getting up and taking advantage of the inertia to continue her attack. The Jedi was not to be outdone, she grabbed him by the arm to try a submission hold from which she escaped in an extreme in turn. Unfortunately for her, Windu was also a master of martial arts, far surpassing the level of her Jedi counterparts. And if Komari and your skilled in unarmed combat, she was far from being able to face such an experienced and alert person. Despite the level differential, it is with pleasure that she will be in the battle. Komari Found herself on the ground once again, it was the 10th or 11th time she had bitten the dust to her displeasure. Windu gave her absolutely no respite and no opening, every time she tried to surprise him he responded with a blow or a submission hold. The only time she had been able to put him in danger was when she had tried the villainous blows as they were called, it was simply hitting the places where it hurts, the private parts, the eyes, the throat and the fingers. Unfortunately, he had turned his tactics against her by succeeding in a humiliating submission hold with his index finger followed by a blow to the throat that he spat out for a good 5 minutes. As she stood up once again to face him, she was surprised, she felt a presence in the force, a presence that she had not felt coming until now. Looking back at the sight of Yoda who was sitting quietly watching their fight, how long had he been there, she didn''t know anything about it and it worried her. Being used to feeling the people around them, it was a disturbing surprise for her to be able to perceive his presence only with difficulty. With this discovery in a strange sense of danger invaded her, not being able to perceive the master meant who could be a threat and that there was nothing she could do about it. If she sensed a threat like Windu, in the face of which she could do nothing head-on, she would take the opportunity to flee. But in front of the small green meter, he needed all his concentration to be able to feel his presence. "Surprised by my presence, you are. Feel me despite everything you can. Fascinating, fascinating. said the little green master, waving his ears. She had been around Yaddle enough to know that in this species the ears were very expressive. "I felt you but much too late for my taste, in some situations it could be fatal to me," she growled, still uncomfortable. "No harm we want you, curious I am, strange and strength in you and a lot to learn you have." the old master''s gaze fell on Windu whose one of the rounds he was almost torn off from their fight "potential you have." He then motioned for them to continue, in front of the presence of the honorable master she felt her opponent hold back and with a certain pleasure she took the opportunity to lash out in front of him. Who was she to refuse the opportunities that were offered to her.
Despite all her efforts her opponent remained a master far too powerful for her, the fight ended when she rolled once again on the ground without being able to get up. She had broken her nose, one of her cheekbones was bleeding, she was afraid of having a cracked rib. Komari was proud to have managed a nice blow of the ball I will cause a bleed in Windu''s lips. "Enduring you are," Yoda congratulated her as she struggled to her feet, with a gesture repeated many times she replaced her nose and spat a trickle of blood on the ground without taking her eyes off her former opponent. "I''d say narrow-minded," Windu interjected, before reluctantly continuing, "but she''s a far higher level than her comrades, and some Jedi would be surprised if they weren''t careful." Her only answer was to stick her tongue at him before deciding that sitting still would be a better option because her head was spinning a little too much. "Understood, she has the limit of violence I think. Interesting is your martial practice, many styles you use. The big-eared Jedi Master remarked. The latter remained thoughtful for a moment before continuing, "Anarchic, chaotic, your mastery is. Still uneven his masteries. ? Komari in the sense of eyebrows is a sign that she understood absolutely nothing of the master''s explanations. "What Master Yoda means is that you are already trained in certain arts, so you have a very different mastery than what is taught in the order," Windu explained, wiping the blood from his lip, "even so, you still have a lot of room for improvement, and you also have to unlearn things like killing or using violence. On the other hand, I must congratulate your instinct, even overwhelmed by events, you react as you should. ? It is true that where as a padawan of her age simply tried to reproduce the movements taught within the order, she preferred to experiment according to her instinct, knowing full well that a situation would not be the same. The fact that she was able to control the scope and violence of these threat-commensurate attacks she faced had largely allayed Windu''s concerns. He was still embarrassed by the latter''s lack of hesitation to land incapacitating or dangerous blows, but he was rather happy with his self-control. "Brute, powerful is the strength in you, the more refined we must." The old master with the big ears had a soothing and compassionate look "Your pain I feel, haunt you are I know it when you will be after you will be able to talk about it by listening I will be. And time will be needed. He approached and his small hand rested on her, strangely, a feeling of calm invaded him, partly chasing away Nar shadda''s voices and pain. She looked at him with a mixture of astonishment, thanks and concern, she didn''t really understand what he had just done. She took advantage of this calm for a brief moment. "Master Windu, in the absence of Master Dooku, he will take charge." She looked at Windu and then Yoda before returning to Windu and Yoda again "him and me? I thought it was a joke, I don''t give a week before we try to kill each other. She replied honestly. Surprisingly Windu nodded in agreement with Komari, he and she were too different in many ways to be compatible. And even though he recognized the duty of teaching all initiates and the charge his former friend had given him, he preferred to keep an eye on her sooner than to have her with her. He wasn''t sure he would be able to contain his composure in front of her forever. Yoda chuckled "very similar in many ways you are. Your violence, he will channel the force, he will teach you. ? "It''s going to make people jealous already that others don''t like me, you''re putting me in a hell of a mess." she complained with a sigh, already feeling the dark gaze of the other initiates on her and their silent judgment. She smiled as she imagined Tola''s flabbergasted reaction when she told him the news, getting this girl out of her impassibility was her favorite pastime. "I think you''re healthy, Komari, to ignore it, they don''t have your experience or your character," Windu growled, "Between us, your movements with the sword and in hand-to-hand combat are..." unorthodox and surprising for someone your age. Who to train you? ? The question was legitimate for a master like him but it was difficult for her to answer, a good part of her mastery came from the many hours she had spent training in the various weapons rooms. As for the rest of these skills, it came from her mind and she still didn''t understand the ins and outs. She finally confessed how she had tried by all means to become stronger to protect the rest of her family. And how she had spent those days between flying and training, she showed them her hands, which, despite Yaddle''s care, remained scarred by the scars they had made from training. She even explained to them how she had met these two main fencing masters, Balk and Rogna. It was through them that she had learned the main weapon masteries such as the traditional Mandalorian martial arts and the Trandoshan fighting arts of Thrar''bar and Thrar''dar, the ways of the sword and the staff. "Indeed, this partly explains your mastery. I told myself that I had recognized some movements of Mando''a marev mixed with other movements that I don''t recognize. ? "I''m innovating, not bad meat either, I didn''t expect so much resistance," she replied, shrugging her shoulders. "Hear you well, I can feel it," Yoda smiled at them, tapping the ground with his cane. Komari and Windu gave each other a strange look, feeling that they could not escape the master''s attention and that they would have to make an effort to put up with each other. As Yoda left the training room, Windu questioned her about her mastery of the vaapad, asking her if it was Plo koon who had taught her certain moves. Komari hesitated for a moment, not really knowing how to answer, she hadn''t yet understood what had happened at the time. In the end, it was decided to leave the answer open, on the pretext that it was the work of force that had guided these movements, which was not far from the truth. Although skeptical of this explanation, he did not look any further. Following this exchange, she asked Windu to accompany her back to the infirmary. The latter accepted without suspecting that she had set the ultimate trap for him. A trap that closed when Yaddle''s life arrived in a bad state, it was when Yaddle''s gaze fell on Windu that the latter understood that the initiate had set a diabolical trap for him. He even wondered if she wasn''t worthy of a Sith. After this event, Komari''s schedule changed overnight, no more training with the Snake Clan except for general classes, instead Windows and Yoda taught him the voices of order. Both put this magazine also of his learning to sword and strength. As expected, it didn''t help it at all, the fucking nation was already unflattering to the other initiates, thanks to the Council of Masters and preferred to ignore them royally. Only Tola, in my opinion, apparently nothing to do, although she felt her over-excitement and astonishment in the heart of the force. Having decided not to stray from her only friend within the Komari clan, she did her best to train with her regularly in addition to these mandatory workouts. XIV. Sneak out The two girls ate regularly together, the initiates had at their disposal several canteens spread throughout the temple. But they had felt that they were not welcome, the other initiates exuded a lot of hostility towards them. They had therefore preferred to take their meal to eat further away. The choice of place had become a little game between Tola and Komari, they had to take turns choosing a suitable place or a strange place to show to the other. This meant that one had to explore the temple to discover interesting places. This time it was Tola who had chosen the place, it was a large bay window that illuminated the place with the setting sun of Coruscante. In the four months since Komari began training with the masters, they had taken turns choosing an imaginative place or eat. Tola having spent much more time than Komari in the temple, she knew many more surprising places than her friend. When she opened her bento box, she noticed that since she had known Komari, she had only eaten Arian survival rations or freeze-dried soups. "Why do you eat this kind of food? However, there are plenty of dishes available in the canteen. She asked, pointing to the freeze-dried soup her friend was drinking. The latter had an indigestible appearance, between smelly porridge and the remains of an old toilet bowl, all mixed by a cook who surely did not know what he was doing. Komari looked longingly at Tola''s meal before returning to his meal with a comical grimace. "Having eaten shit all my life, my digestive system is currently not used to food as rich as that of order. As a result, everything that is too rich comes out in one way or another and I am still condemned to eat this stuff while my system adapts. She growled, disappointed, swallowing a bite. In addition to soup, Tola had already seen him nibble on some of the roots that Master Yaddle consumed or drink the foul tea that Master Yoda and Yaddle drank. Every time the latter began to chew on the roots, she gave the impression that she was being forced to eat something particularly vile. However, despite Komari''s disgust, the latter continued to chew on her roots, drink her tea and soup day after day. Out of curiosity, Tola took a piece of her friend''s food and tasted it, almost immediately she retched and grimaced that even her stoic air could not control. She had to drink several glasses of water so that the ignoble taste of the soup could pass her and she could finally articulate. "It''s really despicable, I don''t know how you put up with it?" She said before happily taking a slice of her own dish, "That''s good!! It''s a shame you can''t eat it, do you want it? Oh no, am I stupid, you can''t eat," she mocked Komari mercilessly. The latter accepted the mockery with a smile, the presence of her friend did her good because she realized that without Tola or Plokoon she would certainly have been depressed. Despite the advice of Master Yoda and Windu that she should ignore the hostility of the initiates and other Jedi, she found it difficult. Constant hostility, even if ignored, could be tiring or burdensome for morale. And if at first she had succeeded without difficulty, she now found that it was starting to eat away at her. She had a lot of trouble adjusting to the temple. It lacked all the little noises of the lower levels of Nar shadda as well as all the little smells that reminded you of home. The purr of the vents carrying into the air, the water flowing through the pipes, the repeated routing of the mechanisms, all this was missed. Even the atmosphere made her depressed, until now she had been used to a hot and sticky atmosphere, a tropical weather stifling with its humidity eating away at the walls and structures. The atmosphere of the temple was regulated by the ventilation, it was always mild, never too hot, never too cold, never too dry, never too humid. The temple seemed too clean to her, too quiet instead of calming her, this situation put her on constant alert, only the gardens managed to lavish her with the necessary serenity. Even her bed didn''t suit her, it was way too soft, she had gotten into the habit of sleeping on the floor on the floor. And he found it almost strange the absence of rats nibbling on his toes, or the absence of cockroaches and other parasites on the walls. The rules of order as well as the solemn atmosphere of the temple slowly began to suffocate her, she wanted to go out. No, she needed to go out, to get some fresh air, to escape this stifling atmosphere or else she was going to cause carnage. She was certain that without the regular and intense training that Windu and Yoda gave her, she would have fallen into depression. Their training had occupied her for the majority of her time, regularly leaving her exhausted with no energy to think. But yet a small part of her reasoned and told her that she needed to escape, if only for a moment, from this heavy and suffocating atmosphere. She needed to visit Coruscante, needed to smell its air, to feel the heart of this world city beating. The need to mingle with the crowd, to ignore and be ignored, to feel the indifference of the people and not their hostility. And on another level, Komari also needed to find a place to transfer all of the senator''s bank accounts to more appropriate locations, away from the Jedi''s eyes. Unfortunately for her, the order did not allow initiates to leave the temple or explore the city, even accompanied by a Jedi. From what she had heard, this policy was intended to " protect" them from the outside. Personally, she thought that this policy was aimed at isolating them and formatting them according to the will of the order, far from any interference or counter-discourse. But perhaps it was his paranoia that spoke. After a very long reflection and introspection of two standard minutes, Komari made the decision to make the wall. Her explorations of the temple had allowed her to discover certain flaws that she had not yet shared with others. It turned out that, like any large building, the temple had service entrances. These were very useful to allow food, there are various temple necessities to enter. She was certain that if Windu found out that she was building the wall, she might pay a very, very high price. But imagine the tense face of her favorite bald man had only reinforced her desire to leave the temple. In any case, he didn''t have any more hair to pull out. It took almost no effort for him to slip out of his room into the night and then down avoiding the guards to one of his entrances. The security was less as expected, she had previously spotted the routine, the security. The guards at this service entrance used to watch a holonovella every night while eating a wriggling dish of worms that made her hungry. It was without difficulty that she slipped out of the temple, still having a little alarmed thought about the lack of professionalism shown by the security. If even an initiate could walk out undetected, then any more qualified or dangerous could enter. It was with delight that she breathed the air of the galactic capital that was just as polluted as she liked. It was a complex mix that confirmed that you were indeed in the center of a world city. "Ah Coruscante, here I am!!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, her only answer being the howl of a speeder passing nearby. She quickly left the area around the temple to blend in with the mass of the population without attracting attention. As the center of the Coruscante galaxy, Coruscante was home to an unimaginable variety of species that came and went, even Nar Shadda seemed tiny in comparison. In the sky the streams of ships and space shuttles came and went, forming a dance network and flow that carried life the blood of Coruscante. Delighted to find herself in such a place, she could not resist her old habits and relieved many wealthy-looking passers-by of their money, not that she needed money with what she had extracted from the senator, but reflexes are hard to lose. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. As much as the upper levels of Coruscante shone brightly with towers piercing the sky and endless gilding, you might even think that all was well on this planet. As much as the lower levels reflected the rot of the galaxy''s center, they were a sign that something was wrong. After only three or four levels passed, Komari came across levels that looked and looked similar to the middle level of Nar Shadda, which was home to the poor. Oh they were not comparable to the lower levels where she had experienced it, which did not shelter a poor population but the remains, the less than nothing. Yet she was astonished to see such poverty so high in the planet''s levels. Yet it was in the filth that she hoped to find what she was looking for, on the way she bought herself a full-face mask with stolen credits. She wanted to hide her age, her identity and also her very particular eyes, she had met the eyes of some passers-by who were surprised by the sparkle of her eyes. After several detours and several failures she finally found the object of her quest, it was a currency exchange office where she could make the transfers of the stolen money without leaving a trace in the galactic banking system. She had listened enough to the mercenaries and other traffickers who were training in the weapons rooms to understand how to launder her money and make her invisible to anyone. She wanted to keep her resources on hand and avoid any interference from the Jedi. Outside, the living room seemed decrepit but its interior told a completely different story, it was richly decorated with velvet and quality materials. The broker in front of her desk was a well-dressed Pike, she could see and feel his surprise and hesitation at the amount of credit they had asked him to launder. "But a customer is a hell of a lot of money you have there. Fifteen million credits is not an easily manageable sum for our institution. ? She felt his gaze try to assess her. "If you can''t process my request, I''ll just go somewhere else," she replied, grabbing the key and pretending to leave. "Wait, wait, I didn''t say I refused, just that it will be difficult," the broker caught himself, slightly worried about the departure of a potential client. Komari smiled through his mask, nothing better than putting pressure on to get results... and this without violence. Windu would be proud of her... to think about it, not at all. "I can indeed process your money without leaving a trace in the banking system, through many financial arrangements I can place it in ghost accounts that even the Hutts will not be able to touch," he declared smugly. "But because there is always a but." "But I can''t deal with fifteen million at once, the sum is too large to go unnoticed. On the other hand, what I can do with these treaties is the sum in tranches of two million, and if we want to be prudent, spread the treatment over a period of six months to a year. ? "And how could I invest in companies get market share with this money?" she asks cautiously. "It''s simple, you just have to open bogus companies or investment fund fronts and then invest where you want. You can even borrow money from a phony company you''ve set up and get capital gains from banks on your loan. If you want to hold large shares in certain companies, I advise you to do so via shell companies and various investment companies. ? The broker kept talking about the various methods of money laundering and circumventing financial controls, there was a real passion in his voice, a true love of financial manipulation. In front of Komari he drew up a chart of the thousand and one ways to play with the banking financial system, it was a whole ecosystem that until now had eluded him. The meagre resources she had on Nar Shadda didn''t even allow her to approach this kind of place, but with the mentality that money shouldn''t sleep for nothing, she had decided who would be profitable for her to invest. Komari decided to launder most of his money, minus the percentage the broker took and less for the creation of the company and its current activities. The transfer costs were not cheap, but inevitable, which made the poor heart of the green-eyed girl cry. These investment targets were companies such as Cornelia Corporation, icon corpo, Nubian disigne, blastech, Buktaid, they were all companies manufacturing weapons or military vehicles, in short, safe bets. She didn''t intend to use this money anytime soon, for her it was an insurance in case her relationship with the Jedi Order would be cut short. Honestly, she wouldn''t know what to do with all this money, until now she had barely had enough to feed herself. She had stolen all this in order to give her family a new life, and now that money was as empty as her heart. The Pike continued to talk about the various possibilities of investing in more or less legal companies, she looked at the shadows behind him where the whispers of the ghosts of her family hidden, they did not seem to judge her for her theft. He just stood there and watched him. She turned away from it to focus on the Pike who listed the number of insurances taken out by her employers about the treatment and the guarantee of getting her money back minus a percentage. When she came out of the brokerage house Komari was rich without it having changed anything, she understood at that moment the futility of money when you don''t care about it. To take her mind off things, she decided to wander around the city, to visit the lively districts of Coruscante.
On her way back to the upper level, near the beautiful neighborhoods, she walked observing the Galactic Senate that was taking shape not far away on the horizon. Immersed in these reflections she heard a scream, something in her pushed her to observe what was happening. "Thief thief!!" shouted a young man as he ran behind what must have been the thief, the action took place on a pedestrian crossing ten meters below the one where she was. Having no desire to intervene she continued to observe, she herself was a thief and she could tell that there was still a little honor among thieves. But something bothered her: the voice that was screaming was that of a fairly young person, and the thief seemed very imposing to her. A thief worthy of the name had to fly harder than him, never weaker than him, that''s what he had been taught, not sure it was a good teaching but she did. And something about the force told her that she had to intervene, she didn''t like it when the force told her what to do. As she watched the thief, he turned around armed with what must have been a blaster pistol, opened fire on his pursuer and narrowly missed him. "Shit!!" she growled out loud as she stepped over the parapet and threw herself into the void. A part of her was mortifying that Jedi ideals were beginning to take root in her. She began to help others without compensation. A real scandal she thought. The fall was brief, and she struck the thief''s back with her feet together. The speed of the fall was enough to break his shoulder, he let out a scream as he crashed to the ground and dropped his weapon. Komari to cushion his fall rolled around, turning around she saw the thief writhing in pain and his victim coming up to their level. She picked up the object of the robbery that had been dropped by the thief, it was a very pretty diamond necklace, ... No, really, this thief had good taste. Komari understood this, but it was no reason to pull out a gun. A part of her was even hesitant to take it but she could already imagine Windu''s angry face and reluctantly gave up on this project. The young man who had chased the thief was totally out of breath, exhausted from his chase. He tried to say a word but only a faint sound came out of him while his legs were shaking, visibly unused to being so solicited. "Catch your breath, it''s not going anywhere," she reassured him, and with those words, he dropped to the ground, nodding his head and trying to catch his breath. According to these clothes he must have come from a rich family, which would not give him more than 15 or 16 years of age. Strangely enough, her face told her something, she was sure that she had seen it in her visions or in her nightmares. "Thank you very much, my name is Bail Organa, it seems that I owe you a debt," he finally managed to say. He pointed at the thief, which was very rude, she thought, "this guy ripped off my mother''s necklace." Komari could finally figure out where she had seen before, she had seen him in her visions, he would be a senator in the future and king of Alderaan. She knew that he would die as a result of his opposition to the power of the Sith and their empire, but that part remained very vague in her mind. "I''m Komari," she introduced herself, then she pointed to the thief "and what would you have done if you had caught him in your state?" she pointed to Bail''s visible shortness of breath which drew a grimace from her. "I admit that I didn''t think so far. I just acted. ? Komari crushed the thief''s hand with his heel as the thief tried to pick up his Blaster pistol. "If you move again, I''ll throw you overboard!" she threatened him in a calm voice before returning to Bail, "It was indeed silly, but also brave of you, I don''t think I would have done better," she confessed, thinking back to what she could have done if someone had stolen from her mother. Looking back, she would surely have done worse, much worse. While he was talking, several shuttles stopped at their level, immediately several men from the Organa family''s security service arrived, weapons in hand. On Bail Organa''s instructions, they began to subdue the thief while keeping a watchful eye on Komari who stepped aside to let it happen. Quickly a shuttle much more luxurious than the others stopped at their level, a woman of great beauty got off accompanied by a man who looked very much like Bail. "Mother!" exclaimed the latter before taking a resounding slap, which drew a grimace of sympathy from Komari. "Do you realize what you have done!?" screamed Bail''s mother, giving her a slap "Running after a common thief, all for a simple jewel, you could have been killed!" and then she will be his son against her. Komari waited patiently before intervening with a sense of timing "it was indeed extremely dangerous and idiotic," she added to drive the point home. Bail''s mother glared at her son, who smiled sheepishly. He moved away from his mother to avoid another slap "mother, father, let me introduce you to Komari who jumped from the upper bridge to help me." All eyes were on the footbridge ten meters higher and Bail''s father whistled. "It''s a hell of a fall, you have nothing?" "Oh no problem sir, your son looked like he was at the end of his life he was lucky that the thief was a bad shooter." At the moment she said this, she could feel the scrutinizing gaze of Bail''s mother. The latter took a few steps in her direction before stopping and continuing to look at her. "Thank you, but it''s strange to know that a child rather than a child and jumping from such a height was risky. I want to thank you for your help young lady. ? Komari managed to control her surprise, she didn''t know why or how the latter had understood that she was a child and a girl. Nothing in his paraphernalia could identify his sex or age, many species were his size. Strangely enough, she couldn''t escape the woman''s gaze, and after some reflection she took off her mask. Of course, those strange eyes immediately drew his gaze, as his father seemed astonished by the glow they gave off. Again, strangely, there was no surprise, as if she knew her look was special. Maybe it was her young age, but the Organas were immediately very warm towards her. Bail''s father nodded at her and offered to take her back to her parents'' house to thank them for her act. "I''d rather avoid thanks," she politely refused in this kind act. But that was without counting on the bail with the sharp tongue. "Did you run away? You need help?! Without waiting for his answer, he turned to his parents: "Father, mother, we must help him!" ?. She tried to refute the lease''s claims, although deep down he wasn''t wrong, she had made the wall at the Jedi Order. Yet he and her father didn''t want to give up, they wanted to help her in some way whether she wanted to or not. To tell the truth, they didn''t really listen to him. They were damn uncompromising men of honor she thought as she rolled her eyes, she was both surprised by such attention and extremely embarrassed, it was almost suffocating. In the end, it was the intervention, the only person of common sense in the group, who freed her from their attention. "Boys, that''s enough! Let me talk to her and go take care of this thief. Bail''s mother ordered. And under his intense gaze the father and son obeyed without a word. "Excuse boys, they can be intense at times. Let me introduce myself, I''m Mazicia Organa and I want to thank you for your intervention. My son has a good heart but he ignores a good part of the reality of the galaxy and its brutality. She said, looking at him with inquisitive eyes. Komari didn''t know why, but she felt a mixture of sympathy and pity in his eyes. "We have the same look, you and I. We know this reality. ? XV. Organa Komari did not know what the queen meant by these last words, and she had no other preoccupation than to think of it. Because she was currently in the royal limousine of the Alderaan family, sitting next to Bail Organa and facing the king and queen of Alderaan without really understanding how or why she had gotten there. At the loud insistence of the two male figures of the Organa family, the queen grabbed him by the arm and stuffed him into the car without asking his opinion. It was almost a kidnapping! So, she rubbed shoulders with the Organa while facing the queen who had not said a word since their last exchange. Instead, Bail and his father were making conversation with an energy that was almost exhausting for their interlocutor. Komari didn''t understand how they could so easily accept a stranger who obviously didn''t have the same social status as them, or why he wanted to take her with them. Komari''s instinctive paranoia quickly analyzed all possibilities, from the worst to the least likely. But none of the finishes really, explained his presence in the royal limousine. "Excuse me?" she began, raising a hand and drawing the attention of the whole family to herself. "But where are you taking me?" she asked. It was Bail''s father who replied, "We are invited to the Senate for a party organized in honor of the Chancellor." Komari nodded, "Okay, but why are you taking me?" again, the question seemed to surprise both father and son. "Well, we owe me a debt and we have an obligation to help you. After this party, we will find a way to accompany you home or to a place where you will be safe. It''s not easy to wander the street, even a child as resourceful as you. He said, supported by his son''s vigorous nods. Komari blinked several times as she realized that they had decided that she would be their responsibility, something she surely hadn''t accepted, but the move was honorable. Taking care of a child who came out of nowhere and offering her shelter without question was something unexpected and deeply benevolent. This seemingly noble family seemed to be more than just social barriers, and Komari understood why the man Bail Organa could threaten the Sith to the point that they would want his life. She could see in his eyes an uncommon honesty and righteousness. Something that she herself lacked. Mazicia Organa''s gaze was particularly disturbing, the queen had not taken her eyes off him since the beginning of the journey. There was something disturbing about this woman, or at least something that Komari couldn''t understand. Like a link. Having read among the very, very, very many mandatory documentations of initiates in training within the order. That some people were sensitive to the force without showing the signs of it, no one with whom the force interacted in a different way than with the Jedi or the Sith. A much less demonstrative way. The reasons for this different interaction did not seem clear, or at least were debated by many professors and researchers within the temple. And whatever the reason, Komari couldn''t understand the connection she felt to the Queen of Alderaan. It was an uncomfortable feeling, but not in an aggressive or oppressive sense, rather one she couldn''t control. Mazicia Organa had not yet said anything about her husband''s move to offer Komari the Organa family asylum, all the green-eyed girl felt at the queen''s house was astonishment and a little confusion. Komari was certain that the queen was aware that she had mastered the force, yet she did not question her about her past or her possible connection to the Jedi order. Looking out the window of the limousine, she could see that the Galactic Senate was getting closer. It was a simply massive building. It was one of those few buildings on Coruscant that towered over all the others along with the Jedi temple. It was the putrid heart of the Galactic Republic, the place of all corruption, all the vile exchanges, and all the illusions. The Senate Rotunda or Senate Dogma was not the primary place of governance of the Republic, but it had served as the official center of the Galactic Republic since the end of the Great Sith War. Seeing the Senate from afar was already impressive, but Komari didn''t realize its true size until he stepped out of the Organa''s limousine at the foot of the building. They were ants on the steps of the Senate. From a vulgar being insignificant in the face of representation, in front of the embodiment of the power of the most powerful force in the galaxy, the Senate of the Republic. An organization affecting the future of billions of living beings for better, but especially for worse. Komari shuddered when she followed the Organa inside. His whole being was screaming at him to be extremely careful! The lanes screamed their hatred of the place, but also their fear of this Komari could not discern. She regretted at that moment that she had not taken with her the sword that Plo Koon had lent her. For all her defence, she had only her mother''s vibrator blade, which never left her. Those fingers quickly found the cold touch of the blade, and some of the tension she had felt up to that point was soothed, but not her alertness. Komari accompanied the Organa to the reception venue, chatting with Bail without letting anything of what she had just felt. She was speechless at the ostentatious luxury of the reception room, there were gilding, finery and other luxury elements on all the walls. The room was illuminated by beautiful crystal chandeliers. Komari had never seen so much food wasted in one place, there was enough to feed an entire neighborhood in Nar Shadda''s lower town for a year on the reception tables. Dishes so elaborate that she doubted they were edible, they looked more like works of art than food. She curses her bad luck, not being able to swallow any of the food present there because of the deplorable state of her stomach. Of course, a small part of her told her to gorge herself and then reject the consequences. But while tempting, Komari didn''t want to spend the evening vomiting his guts on the luxurious carpets of the Senate. Without letting her guard down, she let herself be pulled by the arm by Bail, who was scanning the food with greedy eyes. Together, they fell on the alcohol table with the same idea in their eyes, they looked at each other and then smiled. Bail was a lovely person, even by Komari''s somewhat biased standards. Not only was he totally unaware of the class difference between them, but he was also careful not to fall into false modesty. Their conversation quickly turned to the Prince of Alderaan''s family, with Komari later learning that the Prince of Alderaan had three older sisters and a younger sister. Three of his sisters had remained on Alderaan and she understood from Bail''s tone and emotions that he felt sorry for one of his sisters, so they avoided talking about it. Avoiding the heavy subject, they began to talk about Coruscant. His parents had brought him to the heart of the galaxy to learn about galactic politics. During the evening, as they walked back and forth among the guests, Komari was surprised to recognize some of the senators she had seen in her visions. Strangely, she knew that some of them would become the leaders of the opposition to the Republic in the years to come. Inwardly, she offered them her sympathy. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. Despite her initial caution, she gradually let herself go to the friendly atmosphere of the place and let her guard down a little. Komari was well aware that something was wrong, but it was more about the Senate venue itself than the reception. There was a diffuse presence in the force surrounding the Galactic Senate, an unfriendly and rather oppressive presence. If she had time, she should investigate how she felt in this place. It was better to know than to be ignorant. While Komari and Bail joked about the style of some, a tall Wookiee senator who was with a Muun banker from the banking clan shifted away. When she saw Mace Windu''s shiny bald head, Komari swallowed his drink askew and began to choke. Why on earth was he here and why was force always playing tricks on him? Growling at his bad luck, Komari quickly hid behind Bail without the latter catching the situation. The Jedi Master was in conversation with none other than... the king and queen of Alderaan to the great misfortune of Komari. She could hear Windu''s voice growling in disbelief at the monarchs'' words. "Your son was saved by a child who jumped from a ten-meter-high footbridge on her attacker? What child would be crazy enough to do that? ? Komari turned his head praying to all the gods that they could exist in the galaxy, but none answered those prayers when Mazicia Organa''s voice rose into the air. "Lease my darling, please bring our young friend here," she asked with a hint of irony in her voice, as if she knew what to expect from the confrontation to come. Before Komari could slip away, she was grabbed by her comrade who pulled her along with him, only too happy to meet a Jedi master and unaware that the girl with the fluorescent green eyes was beginning to insult an entire generation of the honorable monarchs of Alderaan. When Mace Windu saw her, Komari could see a vein swell on the Jedi Master''s forehead. In addition to Windu, Master Yoda was there as well, and once again Komari had failed to sense him through the force. "Apart from you, of course, Komari. I don''t even know why I''m surprised to see you, I should have known better. Windu growled as the vein on his forehead began to grow and deepen. Komari thought a little for the precepts of strength that were flouted by such a master in the grip of such emotions. Unfortunately for her, Komari couldn''t hold back a sarcastic smile. Yoda for his part sneered gently, as if he was not surprised by his presence, "Crazy is a good adjective, but qualified, we must be indomitable." The exchange of the two masters somewhat surprised Bail and his father, while the queen seemed unfazed by the situation. "Do you know each other?" asked Bail timidly of the two masters. "An initiate is Komari," Yoda revealed to them, "Forbidden to go out, novices are," he continued, to the green-eyed girl who gave him an innocent smile. The little master approached her to pat her on the shoulder, "Bad with the rules of the temple," and then, in a gesture almost impossible to discern, he took the glass from her hands. The thief part in Komari could not help but be impressed and applaud such a mastery of the art of theft. The other party complained that his glass had just been taken away from him. A glass that contained everything a child should not drink. "Well, having been around Jedi, I think she looks nothing like her counterparts," the king confessed, carefully observing the child who was Komari talking to Bail. The heir of Alderaan gave him no respite, fascinated as he was by his friend''s new status. Komari answered his questions while drinking a fruit juice and silently facing Windu''s gaze. "Komari, who is your Jedi Master?" the queen asked, in order to break up the strange cold war between Windu and the initiate. "Oh no, I know. Let us guess? It can''t be Master Windu or Master Yoda, because your behavior is far too different..." "Komari is still an initiate, so she doesn''t have a Jedi master assigned, for that she will have to pass the initiates'' tests and a master will be willing to train her," Windu explained to cut off any speculation on the part of the Organa. "But right now, his guardian is Master Dooku is currently on a mission." At his words, Komari saw the queen''s eyebrows twitch, a sign that the monarch knew the Jedi Master. "Do you know Master Dooku?" asked the green-eyed initiate, curious about the relationship between the Organa and Dooku. "Indeed, as a young girl, Master Dooku participated in a mission to protect our family a few years ago. He was of invaluable help in the diplomatic settlements of a past crisis. The king explained with a smile. This reminded Komari that the Jedi were regularly brought into contact with the upper echelons of the various states of the galaxy and to participate in the diplomatic settlement. Strangely, from what she had read, few Jedi were actually known, at least politically known. they came and went like emissaries. Individuals like Yoda, Windu, and Dooku were peculiar. Dooku was known politically as a member of a royal family, the Dukes of Serenno, and for his ability to resolve even the most dangerous crises. She had understood that he had been intervening regularly lately in the worlds of the outer rim. Catching the king''s slightly incredulous look, she understood that he was trying to make the connection between her, who looked very anarchic, and Dooku, who had a particularly distinguished and classy manner. yes okay, she could have made an effort on her clothing style. "Whaaaoouu Komari, you know Master Dooku, it''s impressive. It''s a legend. Bail yelled far too close to his ear, hopping up and down like a child. Komari listened attentively to the words of his new friend who was over the moon. Truth be told, she didn''t know much about the Jedi Master''s history outside of what her mind had taught her or her readings. Bail''s narrative took hold of him that Dooku had a real reputation in the galaxy, whether in the core or in the worlds of the Outer Rim. Through his interventions and his political weight, he had, unlike many of his Jedi counterparts, a real impact on the situations he faced. His word carried weight, where the word of many Jedi could only be taken as advice that could be ignored. His intransigence in defending the worlds of the outer rim earned him the sympathy of many organizations in the political pressure group. He also had the reputation of not hesitating to use violence against any person, from the indigent to the senator, who would endanger or threaten the peoples of the Republic. "The temple must be in a lot of trouble if one of their initiates is brought to the wall," the queen finally said, smiling at Komari. The initiate felt through the force Windu''s discomfort at this situation, and strangely some anger on the part of the queen. Anger not directed at Komari, but at the Jedi. "This is a problem that we will solve among ourselves," Windu said, reluctant to talk about the subject and glaring at Komari. "And for my part, it''s a problem I''m going to be a part of!" the queen growled as she stood between Komari and Windu. "My family owes a debt to them and I intend to pay it." A new Cold War broke out all of a sudden, this time not between an initiate and a Jedi master but between a queen and a Jedi master. Truth be told, Komari didn''t really understand why the monarch of Alderaan was so protective of her to the point of confronting Windu. "Your Highness, I know that you and the Order have differences. I am still constrained by your loss. But the questions of the order are only about the Jedi order. Windu''s words did not calm the queen, on the contrary. Komari felt the latter''s anger ignite. "Don''t bring this matter back to the front if you don''t want to upset me, Jedi!" the queen''s fingers closed abruptly on her glass to the point where cracks began to appear. "If an initiate as young as she starts to make the wall, it''s not for pleasure. Something is wrong! When you build the wall, it''s because you want to escape something! Not that we feel comfortable. The queen''s voice had not risen or fallen, it remained cold, but also terribly harsh. "Master Yoda, will you say that the young girl Komari feels comfortable and safe in your temple? Even I see that she is peculiar and I find it hard to believe that your rigid order is capable of watching over the development of such a child. She continued, without giving the Jedi masters time to answer. The queen took the time to calm down before continuing by glaring at the Jedi, "Anyway, my house and I offer protection and asylum to this child if she asks for it, and the order has no interest in interfering." Then, she planted the Jedi on the spot by going to talk to other people to calm down. Komari did not want to be the target of Windu''s displeasure and decided that it was time for her to slip away. She didn''t know why the queen was so protective of her to the point of confronting the Jedi order. As he cast a questioning glance at Bail, the latter grimaced and shrugged his shoulders. "My mother has a score to settle with the order and I think she likes you." These were all the explanations Komari could obtain from his friend. The rest of these questions were cut short by the smell of delicious, well-stocked food dishes. Ignoring the consequences, she threw herself voraciously on all the dishes within her reach, at worst, she told herself, she would vomit on Windu''s shoes. At the point she was, it couldn''t be worse. At his 20th cake, Komari felt something. It wasn''t as she expected, the gastric juices from her belly starting to rise up and gush out of her mouth. No, it was a tiny pressure in the force that told him that something was going to happen. Suddenly alert, she began to observe the potential threats around her, without finding anything obvious. Letting himself be guided by the force and by the voices in his head, his gaze finally fell on the origin of the threat. He was a waiter in every way like the others, serving here and there verses filled with a fluorescent blue alcoholic beverage. Komari could sense that the waiter''s attention was focused on another individual surrounded by many senators. That waiter was going to kill someone, she''s sure of it. But she wasn''t the latter''s target, so it wasn''t his business, Komari finally turned away to be able to swallow a new dish. Strangely, the force warned him further, yet she decided to ignore him, that a man live or die was not his problem. Komari heard, or rather she perceived, thanks to the strength of all the voices, a voice that she knew coming from the crowd of senators, it was the voice of Mazicia Organa. Komari turned around hesitantly, although she had only known the Organa for a few hours, they had offered her more sympathy and warmth than the entire Jedi Order had offered her in six months. Of course, Yaya, Tola and Plo koon had welcomed him. Komari wasn''t sure if Mazicia Organa would be the target of the assassination attempt that was about to unfold, but what was certain was that the queen was in the line of fire. Thanks to her small size, she saw the underside of the board and the blaster held by the waiter, a blaster pointing in the direction of the group where Mazicia Organa was standing. There was no immediate trace of Jedi. Komari quickly weighed the pros of the counter when Mazicia Organa unintentionally placed herself in the shooter''s line of sight. Komari grabbed the round scrap metal tray from which she had just eaten her last meal and before the assassin began to adjust his aim, she sprang into action. With a violent blow, she hit him on the back of the knee. This will throw the waiter off balance and fall backwards while opening fire in the ceiling. Immediately, the shooting caused widespread panic and as rubble and plaster flew and screams of terror rose, Komari continued to attack. Without paying attention to the scream, Komari smashed the dish of his tray onto the waiter''s head. His blow was followed by another blow to the throat with the edge of the board, followed by a dozen other blows to the waiter''s skull. The whole of his action had taken no more than a few seconds, it had been quick and merciless. Out of reflex and awareness, she had continued to hammer the assassin until he could no longer move. It was finally the strange silence that forced Komari to raise his head from his work after a last blow more violent than the others on the server. She grimaced at the sight of the masters Yoda and Windu, a clear sword protecting the assassin''s presumed target. Komari looked at them, then looked at the waiter''s body before returning to them. "I swear he''s still alive if you ask yourself master, and he''s the one who started it!!" she exclaimed. All eyes were fixed on the bloody tray she held in her hands, and then on Komari''s face covered in the blood of his victim. Windu ran a tired hand over his face as he extinguished his sword, and it wasn''t long before the blue-clad Senate security arrived. Komari had to accompany the Jedi Masters out of the reception, if Master Yoda walked by her side, she could feel Master Windu''s piercing eyes on the back of her neck. "And that''s what happens when you try to be of service!" she growled inwardly. XVI. Darkness in the heart of the galaxy Contrary to what she expected, she was not taken to the Jedi Temple but to a room adjacent to the reception room. The place was heavily protected by the Senate guards. Komari found their blue armor particularly ugly and impractical in a crisis situation, even their weapons were more focused on pageantry than combat. They stepped aside without saying a word in front of the Jedi Masters. Through the force, Komari could sense that they were completely unvigilant despite the recent assassination attempt. Probably too confident because of the presence of two Jedi masters, which was absolutely not a good thing, she said, reminding herself that she never worked with such unreliable people. In the room was a small group of guests who orbited around a man. Among the guests present, Komari was surprised to recognize Finis Valorum as the future High Supreme Chancellor, who was a recurring figure in his visions. "Komari, I present to you Supreme Chancellor Skor Kalpana," Windu said. Immediately, the supreme chancellor''s scrutinizing gaze fell on her. He had a blank smile on his face, a smile that must have pleased the interviews and the other senators, she thought. "Ah, here is my saviour, your intervention was lifesaving, my child," exclaimed the chancellor as he approached her. He raised a hand to pat him on the head, but held back his gesture as he saw Windu nod him. "It is an honour, Chancellor, but I am sure that Master Yoda and Master Windu would have intervened in time." Komari gave no credence to the praise of the supreme chancellor. She hadn''t even tried to save his life, it was a combination of circumstances, if the assassin had aimed at another direction, she would not have moved a finger at all. "Of course they are two great masters, but your intervention was unorthodox for a Jedi, I don''t have the words", he smiled at his entourage "who could have thought of using the dishes as a weapon?" these companions began to laugh as if the chancellor had just told them the most beautiful joke even if Komari does not understand their sense of humor. "Particular and our initiate. Much to learn, she has, but a certain talent she possesses" Yoda''s words were the closest thing to a compliment from the old master. And in these words he had passed over in silence the act of violence she had shown. Of course, she suspected that her escape from the temple would be reminded of her in due time. Windu''s scrutinizing gaze was a clear warning of this. She didn''t have to endure the supreme chancellor''s incessant blabla any longer, she was allowed to join the rest of the reception. As she walked through the halls of the Senate, the feeling of uneasiness she had felt when she entered a few hours earlier resurfaced. There was something oppressive in the air, an entity in the force was present not far from her, an entity far more terrifying than the Jedi in the reception. The voices in her head told her to move away, but Komari pushed them away, she wanted to understand where this feeling was coming from. Guided by force, Komari turned off to take a path that took him away from the active areas of the Senate. The further she went, and the heavier she felt the heavy atmosphere within the force, Komari knew full well that neither Master Yoda nor Master Windu could feel what she felt and that all methods of force camouflage would not work in this case. Komari ran down a few steps, her senses completely disturbed by the weight in the force could not warn her and she hit someone. His whole being was screaming at him to flee, except for a very small part that ordered him to fight. "Be careful, young lady," exclaimed in a calm, heavy voice. A large muun catching up with her before she fell to the ground. The latter was surrounded by a veil of strength so powerful that Komari felt his head spin in the face of so much power. The latter knew it, she had come across a Sith, a Sith of terrifying power. A simple gesture on her part and she would be crushed by force without being able to do anything. Although the terror was rising quickly, Komari knew that she had to keep a cool head so as not to expose herself to a potential action from the person standing in front of her. Again, she was certain that she had seen her in her dreams and visions, but without really being able to clearly distinguish where or in what situation. Faced with the situation, Komari decided that playing the innocent was the best thing to do. "Sorry sir, I think I got lost along the way. "Do you know where the reception is?" she apologized flatly, without letting any of her terror show on her face. She was strong, she was a little crazy, but she knew when to refrain from acting in the face of a superior predator. The great muun judged her with his eyes, Komari felt the latter project a wave of force to try to enter her mind in a discreet way. If she hadn''t been extremely vigilant at all times, she surely wouldn''t have noticed the attempted intrusion. It was much more subtle and skillful than the attempts of the Jedi Council Masters. This simple thought alarmed him, this simple observation was obvious, the being in front of him was certainly much stronger than most of the Jedi Council. A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. A slight frown from the tall muun told him that the latter was surprised that he couldn''t get into his mind. She smiled innocently at him, hoping that he would not take it into his head to clear up this mystery by opening her skull. "What does a child as young as you do at such a reception?" he asked her curiously. Komari felt in her intonation a subtle mixture of force inciting her, or rather pushing her, to speak. There was something irresistible in her voice, she wanted to speak. She caught herself and quickly chased away the temptation to tell him everything. Komari knew that she had to play along and speak, but only telling part of the truth for her own salvation. "Excuse my manners, I didn''t introduce myself." she held out her hand, "I am Komari vosa of the Jedi Order. I am here at the initiative of the temple and I accompany Master Yoda and Master Windu. ? Her statement was mainly intended to remind the ruthless individual who faced her that she was not alone. The presence of Jedi in the building was something that the Sith had to take into account and that a wrong move on his part could unmask him. Of course, in her speech, there was nothing to indicate a threat or warning, it was a simple statement from a child. But with enough information from her for the Sith to draw the conclusions she wanted. After these words, Komari left part of her mind attentive to the emotions exuded by the Sith in front of her. Although it was with difficulty, she still managed to grasp bridles of sensations. The latter was more curious than suspicious, besides the inaccessibility of Komari''s mind he seemed interested and surprised by the fluorescent green eyes of the young girl. The muun shook his hand as he introduced himself, "My name is Hego Damask II, I''m delighted to meet a young hope from the Jedi Temple." The voices in Komari''s head screamed at her the true identity of the muun who was standing in front of her. They went to the depths of his mind to look for elements of these visions. Without stopping smiling, Komari trembled at the realization of what she had just known. She wasn''t facing just any Sith, she was facing Darth Pugus, one of the most powerful sites of her generation, if not the most powerful. Her mind, confused and disturbed by the howls of her inner voices, couldn''t concentrate, but what she could say was that the Sith was surely and one of the most dangerous beings she could encounter. "I am astonished, young lady, I thought that the initiates of the order were not allowed to leave the temple," the Grand Muun told me as he walked through the corridors of the Senate to what she hoped would be the reception. The tone of her voice did not reveal any intonation of force, it was more an attempt to manipulate her gently and skillfully, as a politician would. "My masters consider it necessary that I have to rub shoulders with the high society of the Republic. As for their reason... the Jedi follow a reason that reason ignores. She replied, inventing a half-lie as she walked by his side. Cautiously, she had slipped her hand over her vibro-blade and at the slightest aggressive or threatening gesture on the part of the Sith she would sell her skin dearly. Strangely, a small part of her was overexcited at the idea of fighting against this monster. "That''s interesting, young lady. And so, what did you think of it, when you rubbed shoulders with the cream of the Republic? ? Komari hesitated before answering. She could be honest or lie, she was certain that honesty would strengthen the Sith''s interest in her, when it was a lie, it would remain in line with the Jedi''s statements. That is to say, meaningless with a great moralizing discourse. But even in this situation, she couldn''t disguise who she was. "With all due respect to the Republic and the Galactic Senate. This place reeks of corruption. There are certainly dignified and integrated people in the lot, but they are a minority. So far, I''ve heard and learned more ways to avoid taxes or rules than anything else. I find it hard to believe that the Jedi are fighting for this. ? Hego Damask turned his head towards her, slightly surprised by these statements. He had sensed a certain distance when she spoke of the Jedi. When talking about the Jedi, she always used the adjective "them" or "they" instead of the "we" usually used by members of the order. A sign that she did not have a great attachment to the order. This was a very interesting avenue for him. He considered the Jedi to be pitiful beings. But he also had to recognize their ability to create an organization that manipulated and indoctrinated thousands of individuals from a very young age. And in the process, creating an army of significant strength. It was strange that a child of that age would question the very order in such an evasive way. He felt that the situation had some potential, if this rejection of the order was cultivated, he could have a valuable ally in the blood of the Jedi order. It was an avenue that he was going to explore. The other thing that caught his attention was the peculiar green eyes that adorned Komari''s face. There was something mystical in the child''s eyes. During the entire journey to the reception, he tried several times to break through Komari''s mental barriers in a discreet way without attracting attention. But each time, he hit a wall. As he explored the girl''s mental barriers, he realized that he could undoubtedly break through them if he used brute force, but that would mean acknowledging his failure, and a Sith never acknowledges his failure. Back at the reception, Hego Damask wished him a good evening and good luck with the order before blending into the crowd. At that moment, Komari breathed a sigh of relief and realized that his back was drenched in sweat. Never had anyone terrified him so much. She cursed the Jedi inwardly for their arrogance and ignorance of the real threats. Even if Komari genuinely liked Yoda or Yaddle, she had to admit that they were particularly short-sighted in the face of the threat of the dark side. Overall, it was a general problem of the order which, in its arrogance, thought the return of the dark side impossible. But should she inform the Jedi of the Sith''s presence? Komari decided no. She had no attachment to light or dark as the Sith and Jedi understood it, It wasn''t up to her to do the work of the order if they hadn''t been able to guess that the dark side was threatening them, it wasn''t her problem. And currently, although terrifying, Hego Damask was not an obvious threat to her, at least he was no more so than a traditionalist Jedi who wanted to cut off her head, because he found her too close to the dark side. Totally oblivious to the terrifying encounter she had just experienced, Bail Organa almost fell on her. Despite the assassination attempt, the evening had continued as if nothing had happened. The only signs that something had happened were the heightened security. If she knew anything, it was the imperturbability of the coruscantein. Komari was quickly surrounded by a crowd of admirers who kept congratulating her for her intervention with pats on the back. She would have been overwhelmed by her admirers if it weren''t for Bail''s intervention, he pulled her out of there by making conversation for her. And despite this help, she had to spend nearly 3:00 a.m. talking to her admirers and raising greens to the glory of the Republic or a few planets whose names she had forgotten. If she had known that her act would lead to this, she would have let the murderer do his job. Despite this inconvenience, it was a rather interesting experience for her, Komari had never spoken with so many people at the same time. Holding four conversations simultaneously was a more complicated exercise than levitating an object. She had a genuine admiration for Bail''s skills in this area. XVII. Talking with a queen When Komari opened her eyes, she knew right away that she wasn''t at the Jedi Temple. The walls of his room were far too ornate to match the standard of the temple. She moaned as she felt her head turn as she straightened up. She had to be honest, she had drunk way too much during the evening in the Senate. No one had paid attention to her alcohol consumption despite her age, lease and she had drunk glass after drink. Her head spinning way too much she went back to bed moaning, it was the last time she drank more than she should (no). Inwardly, she hoped she hadn''t vomited on anyone, although the idea of repainting Master Windu''s robes amused her. It was after a good 20 minutes of complaining inwardly about his misfortune that Komari decided to leave the bed. As she set her feet on the luxurious carpet, she noticed something that he alarmed. She was naked like a worm, these clothes were folded on a chair as if they had just been washed and ironed. His vibrator blade and the rest of his belongings rested in a pretty silver dome next to it. As she was getting dressed, a protocol droid entered the room. "Hello, I''m p 801 protocol droid of the Organa family. I see you''re awake, did you sleep well? ? Komari hesitated to understand that she was at the Organa''s house, without knowing the reason for her presence on the scene. "Where am I?" she asked as she approached a large window that looked out. Through her could see the towers it rose in the sky and the Senate not far away. "You are at the Organa Palace, the current place of resistance of the Serenissima Organa royal family. It is one of the 19 palaces that my put on coruscante. As for the reasons for your presence here, I invite you to ask the reason of my mistress the queen. The latter is waiting for you in the small living room. ? The small living room was badly named, this huge room with a large table about thirty meters long in the middle. Sitting at the end of this table was Mazicia Organa drinking a cup of coffee while observing the gardens through the bay window. Komari, I still didn''t know how to react to this woman who seemed to have a strange interest in her. Even going so far as to oppose 2 members of the Jedi Council for a young girl she barely knew. To tell the truth, last night''s evening had been particularly strange for Komari, she had met senators, a supreme chancellor, a queen, and a Sith lord in the space of a few hours. Quite a program. Noticing his presence, Mazicia Organa smiled and nodded at him. "yes well you''re awake I expected you to wake up later given the amount of alcohol you drank Komari. I''m not sure it''s healthy for a child your age to drink so much. ? "I think I let myself go indeed, I feel like my head is going to explode when it stops spinning," Komari complained as he sat down on a chair next to Mazicia. The queen''s smile widened, and she slid a cup filled with a smelly brew in front of Komari. "Here, drink this, I had planned it for the lease but I think he will sleep in." Komari looked at the cup and then at the queen before returning to the cup that didn''t inspire her at all, it seemed like she was condemned to drink disgusting things. "It''s an anti-hangover, a legacy of the long tradition of drunken Organa parties. It is said in my family that during these evenings we were able to roll on the Sith and Jedi ground and that only the Organas were found fresh in the morning. Mazicia explained as she took a cup of her coffee before adding, "And for having abused these drunken evenings, I must admit that it''s a disgusting beverage that works perfectly..." even if I will never get used to the fishy taste found behind it. ?. The queen hadn''t lied, he said to himself Komari as he forced himself to swallow the foul brew, to be honest it was less ignoble than the rats they ate on nar shadda. The effect was almost immediate and she felt her headache subside quickly. A servant droid placed a cup of tea in front of her, which she swallowed in one gulp to make the taste of rotten fish pass under the queen''s amused gaze. "Well thank you for this beverage..." now you will be able to explain to me, Your Highness, what I am doing here and why you support me so much. Komari asks "let''s play fair, the first time you saw me you seemed to recognize me or something. But we never saw each other, but I felt something in the force as well. ? Mazicia Organa, queen of alderaan, hesitated before sighing to slump comfortably in her seat. "The reason for your presence here is that I have convinced the masters that it would be wiser for you to rest with us instead of being brought back to the temple dead drunk." Stolen story; please report. "Convinced?" Komari wondered, raising an eyebrow that was visibly unconvinced. "Okay, I rather threatened and imposed the fact that you come back with us. With all due respect to the temple, a child like you is something they don''t know how to handle. Moreover, I could see that Master Windu was totally distraught by the situation. ? "Of course I think he was afraid I was going to throw up on him," Komari joked as he imagined the scene. "Well, you had the decency to dirty only your clothes, which was not a big deal since they were already covered in blood. In any case, Master Yoda agreed that you should spend the night at the palace, he even sent roots this morning. From what I understand, you have to eat them. ? "Indeed the joy of having a disordered digestive system, I''m condemned to eat roots for a while," Komari complains dramatically, casting a comical glance at the plate of cake. But she quickly became serious again "as much for your sympathy and your understanding of the limits of order with problem children. This is to your credit, even if I suppose there is something else in your eagerness to help me. It doesn''t explain your reaction the first time we saw each other or the strangeness in the strength I felt. ? As if she had just touched something important, the queen''s face closed. "You''re right, on the one hand, there is my indignation at the order and treatment of a young girl a few you. But there is also something else but I don''t really know how to approach it. ? Komari can see in the queen''s eyes and through the force the great hesitation of the latter. Then the queen heaved a deep sigh. "Since I was a little girl, I have intermittently had visions. Visions of the future, or rather possible futures. I have no control over these visions or their trigger, if they will come, I may not have a vision for years. The queen''s hands began to clench. "For years I didn''t have a vision until I saw a vision of one of my daughters. I had gotten into the habit of ignoring my visions and I ignored this one.... And every day I regret my choice. ? Komari didn''t say anything, sensing the pain and sorrow of the queen, she understood that Baile didn''t want to broach the subject with her last night. He had lost a sister, and the queen had lost a daughter. They understood this pain more than she would like. "Since then I haven''t had any vision until a few years ago, I still find it hard to believe what I saw. The fall of the Republic, the fall of the Jedi, the rise of an empire, a civil war," the queen''s voice became increasingly difficult to discern, "the destruction of alderaan." Komari inhaled to calm herself, she had seen in these visions return several times to scenes similar to what Mazicia Organa described. A moon-sized space station capable of exterminating entire worlds. Not that it was strategically or militarily very effective, but it remained a real threat in these visions. "Thus freedom is extinguished," Komari began, "to a shower of applause," Mazicia continued. The child and the queen looked at each other without saying a word, well aware of the moment he shared, the knowledge of the future. Not the knowledge of esoteric and fuzzy vision that other beings sensitive to the force could have. No real clear and precise vision of certain events. "And what does it have to do with me, Your Highness, because if I have to be honest with you," Komari stared at his green eyes, those of the queen, "I''m going to die long before that happens. I''m going to die before the fall of the Republic one way or another. And whatever I do in each of my visions, I suffer and I die. So I ask you again, how does this concern me? The Republic, the empire or anything else, it doesn''t concern me, I''m dead anyway. ? Komari she was aware that her future was doomed anyway, she had always felt this mixture of nihilism and fatality. But that didn''t stop him from trying by all means to forge his own destiny beyond the will of force. Yes, she would live every day as if it were the last day, yes, she would be depressed, she would love, she would hate and she would never let herself be done. But she was going to die. Mazicia D¨¦gluti, she had seen the suffering that the child who stood in front of her would have to endure. No matter what futures she had seen in those visions, this child would suffer in one way or another. His destiny was suffering, was death. And the worst thing is that this child was aware of it and that she didn''t let herself be totally defeated. During the evening, she had seen a good part of Komari''s facets, fatality, hope, rage, anger and madness. "You are right in But vision indeed you die, you suffer. And this does not matter what the future holds, whether the Republic collapses, whether the Jedi order lives on, we die. Or that the separatists won. Delicately, she served Komari a cup of tea before pouring herself again. "But for a while now, my visions have been focused on you, I have seen through all realities the possible futures. Well, when you die and suffer, you fight. You''re still fighting, against the Republic, against the Jedi, against the Sith, against the galaxy, but you''re fighting. ? The queen paused again and looked into the distance, beyond the gardens on the other side of the bay window, beyond the horizon. "Whoever fights can lose, whoever doesn''t fight has already lost Komari. Fate is not immutable, nor is force and I do not want to submit. The queen''s gaze lit with impressive determination, "I refuse to see my monster destroyed by the arrogance of a little Sith who tries to compensate for his helplessness. I refuse to see the arrogance and myopia of the Jedi and the Senate threatening my family! ?. Then as quickly as her determination had appeared, she had said that she had been replaced by fear, a fear that Komari had been eating away at the queen for a long time. The latter did not know if it was possible to escape the fate she saw. "But I don''t know if it''s possible to escape it." It was Komari''s turn to sigh, sigh with weariness. "Yes, fate is not immutable, you can escape it, even if I think I''m certain of my end, I''m going to die. But it is possible to challenge him. Look at me, I should have joined the Jedi order from a young age and yet I decided to stay with my family, I changed my destiny in part. Komari replied, spreading his arms. "I escaped the fatum but the fatum caught up with me and burned my world, so yes we can try to deflect fate, we can refuse to cry out, but I fear there is a price to pay." she joked, "I''m not even 8 years old, I see ghosts, I hear voices in my head, my nights are tempted by nightmares, I burn. ? she had on her face in totally crazy smile Mazicia can see in those fluorescent green eyes madness. "And you know what, Your Highness, even if I burn, even if I die, even if I suffer, I will do anything to escape the fatum. I will not let anything control my future even if it burns the galaxy. And if it leads me to my doom then either I had to die anyway might as well have fun. ? neither the queen nor Komari said anything, just looking into the distance, then the queen stood up and slowly approached the girl. "So, Komari, let''s face this fate, let''s fight for what we hold dear. No matter the cost, I refuse to give in, I have seen the consequences of the inaction of good people. Remember, Komari, the one who faces fate does not violate any law. ? XVIII. The queens opinion This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
