《Free》 Chapter 1 Free. First word. Air. Water. Gas. Wildlife. Plants. Animals. Elements. Think, feel, do, say whatever you want and deal with the consequences afterwards. No rules, instructions, guides to follow. Whatever happens, happens. If food, water, and shelter are free in nature, why can¡¯t words in a book be free? Open the gates, release the flood, set the mind free. Flying. A conversation with the clouds. The atmosphere listens. The sun laughs at what it hears. The spaceship shakes its head and moves along. The seagulls notice this and fly lower so they won¡¯t be involved in it.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. ¡°Momma! Momma!¡± the egg cries, flapping its wings. ¡°I don¡¯t know you!¡± the seagull replies. ¡°That¡¯s the third egg chasing you today,¡± the other seagull comments. ¡°Momma! Where you going?¡± ¡°I¡¯m not your momma!¡± the seagull squawks as it flies faster. Chapter 2 Suture. First word. The flying egg has a band aid on its shell to hide a laceration. The egg¡¯s name is Free. It¡¯s looking for someone to help. ¡°Momma!¡± ¡°Go away!¡± the seagull yelled as it flew faster. ¡°But why, momma?¡± the egg followed it as it flew. ¡°Watch out!¡± the other seagull screamed but it was too late. A plane hit the female seagull until all that was left was feathers, blood, and smoke. The plane and seagull exploded before they spiraled down. Free was shocked seeing this. She froze, but kept flapping her wings. The other seagull disappeared.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. Free wondered what it would look like when she hatched. She doesn¡¯t remember what kind of bird she is, whether she¡¯s a chicken, duck, or wren. She was about the size of a large chicken egg. Brown in color, but about to hatch in a few weeks. She doesn¡¯t know how she grew wings to fly, but it works so she¡¯s able to fly. Free became hungry all of a sudden. She still had yolk in her sac, so she paused mid-air to snack on some protein. After eating, she got thirsty so she drank her own sweat. Free spotted a forest as she looked down while she was drinking. One particular tree stood out to her. Don¡¯t talk about Chick Fil-A in front of a flying egg. It might get scared and fly away. The tree is green. It looks like a pine tree with branches big enough for Free to land in. So Free landed on one of the branches. One of the branches had a nest. No eggs, birds, shells or anything. Free decided to take a nap in the empty nest. Its wings disappeared as soon as it fell asleep. Chapter 3 Kal eel four nunya. Free kept hearing this. She realized that she was in a different state. As she woke up from her slumber, she was surrounded by many pine trees. The green color that she saw looked like blades of grass. Upon closer look, the blades were pine trees. The pine trees together looked like a forest. She was in one nest on one tree in the middle of a forest in the mountains. The air became cooler. It went from hot, to warm, to cool, to cold. She was shivering from the cold air, and she didn¡¯t have anything to keep her shell protected from the elements. The nest felt warm despite the cold air. All around her became cold, surrounded by gray clouds and thick air. It became gusty like the winter. It went from sunny summer to overcast winter. How could the weather change so quickly? She didn¡¯t know. But things could change just like that in the state she was in. She really liked the look of it. A forest of pine trees, cold air, overcast sky in a warm cozy nest. She didn¡¯t want to leave the comfort and security of her nest, but she knew she couldn¡¯t stay there forever. She was on a mission to find her parents. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. How would she get out of the cold without any protection from the weather? She didn¡¯t know. She remembered that she was flying, so she had the ability to fly. If she could land into a nest, she could land into a home. But where was home? She knew she had to be protected from the elements. Since she didn¡¯t have anything on her, she realized that she would need to be inside of something warm and cozy. Not a nest since it was too open, but something closed. An egg? No. A tree? No. A bird? No. She spotted a cabin from far away. It was something that was outside of her like a jacket, but she could be inside of it like a nest. She flew to the cabin despite the cold wind until she made it to the door. Snow fell from the sky like frozen rain until it became heavier. She could barely see the shape of the log cabin since it became covered in frozen rain. It looked white like the pine trees. It went from sunny and green to overcast and white. Hot to cold. She didn¡¯t have any arms since she had wings, so she pushed the door until it opened. Inside it looked empty and abandoned like the nest. However, it was warm, protected from the elements, and cozy inside. Chapter 4 The cabin was warm, safe, and empty. It looked like the inhabitants left it. It felt abandoned, but why would they leave just like that? She didn¡¯t know. There was not a trace of anything that belonged to anyone inside that cabin. How long has it been abandoned? She didn¡¯t know. Based on the old and weathered looked of it, it may have been a while. Will the inhabitants ever come back? She didn¡¯t know. Free decided to stay in that cabin until she found a more suitable place. The snow poured in like heavy frozen rain. It was quiet but it was cold. Free felt a sense of peace and calm despite the gloomy weather that she witnessed. Inside, it was warm and safe. Outside, it was cold and dangerous. She forgot that she was just an egg looking for her parents. The snow distracted her. It was so white, beautiful, quiet, and serene. From inside the cabin, she was able to watch the outside while staying warm. She didn¡¯t have to do anything at all but watch from the window right across the ashes. What were they for? They looked like they used to be alive, but not anymore.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. It was so quiet and peaceful inside that she felt sleepy. She chose a corner to sleep on. When she woke up, the weather was still the same. The snow continued to pour in, the sky was still gray and overcast. It was still safe and warm inside the cabin. Free thought the seagulls were her parents but she was wrong. Chapter 5 Safe, warm, comfortable. That¡¯s the feeling she gets when she thinks of her parents. She doesn¡¯t know what they look like. She doesn¡¯t know who they are. She doesn¡¯t care. She just wants that same feeling that her parents gave her. Free looked outside the window again. It was cold, snowing, overcast, and quiet. She was happy she was inside somewhere safe, warm and comfortable. She was protected from the outside. Something told her to go to the front door even though it was cold. She didn¡¯t want to get up, but something was telling her to move. Outside of the door, she saw a creature inside a small house. It was shivering, lonely, and cold. The creature looked like it needed help. Free made herself visible to the creature by waving her wings around until it saw her. As soon as it saw her, it got excited. It wagged its tail, its ears perked up, and it ran towards her.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Come in!¡± ¡°Thanks!¡± The creature followed Free to the corner and cuddled with her. Its body heat and hers made it feel even safer, warmer, and more comfortable.
