Prologue: The New World
Luke was sitting in a comfy chair, across from the man that had told him he was the God of Meaning. Not knowing entirely what that meant but excited that he was in front of such a powerful person.
"So young Luke, I see that you want to have endless adventures with your pet and best friend Lysander? I can make this happen for you, if you are brave enough to face what a new planet could bring." The man spoke to Luke not by moving his mouth but somehow, he put what he wanted to say into his mind. The man''s voice was smooth but yet very deep Luke found his voice very comforting.
Believing the way, the man talked to him was magic Luke got excited by the thought, what if he too could use magic and speak with Lysander? They would be an unstoppable duo! He thought to himself. He must accept the adventures granted by the god, he needed to see what a new world with magic could bring.This book was originally published on Royal Road. When he awoke next, he did not find himself lying in his bed, but he was on a lush green patch of grass. He wiped at his eyes to help shake off the tiredness that weighed on him. After his eyes were fully opened, he quickly sat up and took in all of the massive trees around him with wide eyes. Just as he was about to turn around to get the full picture of the area he was in, something had pounced on him. Balling up his fists to get ready to fight the sneaky attacker he heard a voice.
"Luuukkee, itsss ssso nicccce to sssseee you!" It spoke to him as if it was a giant snake and drew out every ''s'' sound. Finally turning around he saw it was Lysander! Only this time he was much, much bigger. He looked like the size of a big dog.
He couldn''t help but try so he focused on Lysander and said, "It''s good seeing you too, buddy." It must''ve worked because Lysander put his head down expecting head scratches. After giving into the big lizards wishes, Luke thought to him "Let''s go start this adventure!"
Chapter One: The Screen
After taking a few steps into their new adventure something wild had happened. A big blue screen appeared in front of Luke.

This is how smart and thoughtful you are. It helps you solve tricky puzzles and make good choices.

This is your inner magic and spirit. It shows how much you believe in yourself and your power to do amazing things. It helps build your Mana Points.

That was a lot of reading for Luke, so he decided to get comfortable. He quickly plopped down and went through the list, getting a class sounded exciting so he mentally thought of selecting one and another screen popped up.

Luke let out a long exhale, that was a lot of choices. The worst part was he imagined doing all of them, having a hard time deciding he called over Lysander for help. But not before telling him all the information about his choices. Lysander was laying down next to Luke thinking for a long time before he finally said.
"You have fought many thingsss in our adventuresss up close, but you never had the chance to learn or use magic before. Hmmm... I think you should choose Spellssword." Lysander spoke with a lot of thought.
"I agree, buddy." Luke said chipperly and with that selected Spellsword.
The blue screen in front of him popped, colorful sparkles and ribbons shot out in every direction, it was the coolest thing Luke had ever seen. There was even a trumpet playing along with it.
Luke reached out to touch the floating ribbons but before he could another blue screen appeared.
"Woohoo Spellsword Liam has arrived to save the Great Oak Forest!"
You have received your first quest as an adventurer. You can see the quest by thinking quests."
The message vanished so Luke thought of the word quest and the new screen appeared.
"Quest:
Save the Great Oak Forest from the Creepy Crawlies within. Ants are being a big problem to the other critters in the forest, help the creatures overcome this problem.
Rewards: 2,000 experience points/ 1 new spell"
"WOW, that''s a lot of experience and a new spell sounds amazing!" Luke giggled through the words. The chance of getting a new spell made him wonder if he had any, so he thought the word status to see the other screen.
He noticed four new things from the screen:
Skills: Swordsmanship level 1, Spells: Spark, Health Points (HP): 50, Mana Points (MP): 50
He knew that is health points helped with staying awake and not getting hurt. He also knew that his mana points came from his inner magic and will help him cast spells. Swordmanship must help him with using swords. He knew he didn''t need any help; him and Lysander defeated the fire ants at home. He was curious about the spell, so closing the menu he got up. Trying to find something around him he could try it on. Spotting his new target, he put the leaf on a boulder and while holding it there he thought of the word "Spark". He felt a small tug coming from his chest knowing it was his Mana points leaving his body, then he looked back at the leaf and it was on fire.
"Lysander! Look, I did magic!"
Chapter 2: Class Loot and Practicing Magic!
Luke and Lysander had picked up any leaves they found nearby. Time and time again Luke had casted his powerful spell "Spark." He learned that he could even cast it out of his hand and not need to touch the leaf at all. It wouldn''t go very far yet, but he knew deep down that if he kept practicing, he would become better. As of right now they were out of leaves, and he was really low on Mana. Checking his status screen revealed: 5 out of 50 Mana Points. His stomach felt empty, and his head felt light because of the lack of mana he had. Remembering that for next time he asked Lysander how many times he had used his new magic.
"19 wonderous times!" Lysander said proudly. "That means next time I should only use it 10 times, until my mana can come back." Luke said after taking a few moments to do the math. Lysander just nodded his head in agreement.
The sun was still bright in the sky above them, usually when the sun was like that it meant lunch time, So Luke knew he still had plenty of time before he had to worry about nighttime. Taking a deep breath of the warm air, he felt ready. Looking back to where he had chosen his class, he saw a big wooden chest. You know the ones that pirates usually have filled with gold and trinkets. His eyes widened at the welcome surprise.
"Lysander! We found treasure already! Luke said full of enthusiasm. They both ran up to it and unclasped the big thing, Luke pushed up enough for Lysander to get his big nose underneath to help Luke lift it.
Inside the chest was not what Luke or Lysander imagined, but it was definitely worth finding. Inside was a wooden sword, a shield and a cool looking leather armor piece he could use above his clothes. When he looked at the items another screen appeared with more information.

Wooden Shield of Blocking

If you do not have a way of moving the items with you, you can put them into your inventory. All you have to do is think inventory while holding an item and it will be stored automatically. If you want to remove an item, just think of it in your hand and it will appear.
Luke was thrilled to have so many treasures! He quickly put on his Leather armor piece to cover his shirt and then picked up his sword and shield. He felt like a true adventurer from all of the stories he has read. Picking up the potions he tried the inventory trick and was glad when it had worked. "That''s going to make things way easier." He thought to himself. A few moments later they both agreed to start and walked into the Great Oak Forest.
Along the way they saw flying birds with feathers the color of a rainbow. The birds played sweet soft songs from their beaks. They found a walking path that they decided to follow that was lined with berry bushes and magical looking flowers. The berries on the bushes looked delicious and they were big! Luke reached out to one and carefully plucked it. He was feeling hungry after all, before he could eat it though a screen appeared in his vision.
"Good Job Luke! You have unlocked your first hidden skill, Herbalism.
Herbalism is the art of growing and/or harvesting natural plants. This is a skill mostly associated with Alchemy (The creation of powders and potions that could have natural magical properties.)

Ten times the size of a normal blue berry and sparkle when in sunlight, Fairy berries are a fairy''s favorite treat because they taste good and help make you feel better. Usually, it takes a party of fairies to finish one though.

Wanting to take all of them Luke grabbed 5 in total and put them in his inventory. He decided it would be best to leave some behind for the fairy''s and other creatures of the beautiful forest. Continuing on their journey it wasn''t long before they found their first ant and boy was it a big one.
