《A Salty Wish》 Daily Life ¡°Ew, this shit is terrible,¡± shouted a girl in a volleyball uniform with blue and black stripes, holding a dark blue energy drink. Her words echoed across the half-full classroom. ¡°It can''t be that bad,¡± another girl replied, also in a volleyball uniform. ¡°It can be. This is literal mud water,¡± the first girl argued. ¡°But Emma might like it,¡± the first girl proclaimed in a hushed voice. Both of the girls walked up to a desk at the back of the classroom. The desk had a view of what was outside the massive window. Another girl was there. She had messy black bedhead hair, wearing a white t-shirt with a skirt. The first teen girl asked in a cheeky tone, ¡°Hey Emma, how are you doing?¡± She hid the energy drink behind her back in a somewhat obvious manner. ¡°Nothing.¡± Emma replied in a squeamish voice. Looking down, Emma thought to herself that she really didn''t want to deal with these girls today or ever, afraid that they might do something horrible to her like the last few times they interacted. ¡°Are you really sure, though? I thought that one thing just happened to you?¡± the other girl insisted. Confused for a moment, Emma was about to speak when suddenly a cold liquid hit her forehead and began casually dripping down. ¡°Haha, are you sure nothing happened, Emma? Last time I checked, you have mud water in your hair,¡± the first girl teased. Emma just wanted to run and hide then and there. Thinking about it for a bit, Emma thought to herself, ¡®at least it''s not as bad as it is with Luna and them.¡¯ Half a second later, the door to the classroom swung open furiously, and as soon as it did, the entire class went silent. Another girl was at the door. She had raven black hair, a white shirt with dark blue text that said "Elms," and a volleyball uniform too. It was none other than Luna. Seeing her, Emma looked like she was ready to give up on life. ¡°Hey girls, practice is in a bit. Get up and go,¡± Luna announced to the two girls in volleyball uniforms in the classroom. Looking around the class for a bit, Luna noticed someone. ¡°Emma, mind getting me some snacks? Thanks, give them to me in the first gym.¡± Emma reluctantly replied, ¡°No problem, Luna.¡±Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Luna left the classroom, and the usual noise of the class began again. Coming to terms with what had just happened, Emma left the classroom in a hurry and headed towards the nearest vending machine. Emma said to herself, ¡®Although that was very odd timing with Luna, nothing really bad happened. I just got a wet shirt and sticky hair. This is way better than usual...¡¯ Thinking about the things that Luna and her gang usually did, Emma wanted to shrivel up into a ball and die. After hurriedly offering the protein bar that Emma got for Luna, she immediately left the school, faced the afternoon cloudless sun, and ran back home using her special shortcut she had used over the years since Luna''s arrival. The path she took usually had multiple dirty alleys with the occasional dead mice or other animals and large chunks of trash in the middle of these alleyways. After a few minutes, she finally reached an apartment complex in the middle of the city of flowers, Anchorage. It looked relatively new and clean, unlike Emma at the moment, who really wanted to take a shower. Getting to her apartment door, Emma opened it with half her strength after unlocking it. As she did, Emma saw a figure. She was an older woman still in her late 30s, with neat black hair nearly the opposite of Emma''s and dark brown eyes. ¡°Hey mom,¡± Emma said in a happy tone. ¡°Emma, what''s with your shirt? What happened, sweetie?¡± replied Emma¡¯s mom. ¡°Nothing much, just felt cold and decided to spill some juice on my head,¡± Emma lied, not wanting to worry her mother. ¡°...¡± Emma¡¯s mom looked at her with a confused look that was riddled with hints of disappointment in Emma''s decision-making skills. ¡°I¡¯ll head to the showers now, then,¡± blurted Emma. Emma took a long hot shower. It rejuvenated her and made her finally feel a sense of cleanliness. A few minutes passed, and Emma had already gone to bed early, a habit she had ever since Luna and her gang had terrorized her. ** 2014 April 14th. It was a Tuesday. As the day passed by, Emma noticed something amazing. Luna wasn''t here today. Of course, she could still come back after school, but Emma had already decided she was going to leave early today and try her utmost to avoid Luna¡¯s gang of bullies like she usually did. After school finished, Emma dashed out of the school wearing a cap and mask she borrowed from her mother''s closet. This time she had a feeling that she could escape school unscathed today. She had to stop for a bit after noticing two of the bullies from yesterday were blocking her path. Remaining unnoticed by the bullies, Emma attempted to run from them, and she did. Before Emma left the school, she heard a group of people gossiping over something that sounded pleasant. ¡°I heard Luna was extremely depressed for some reason. I don¡¯t really know why, but I do know that she is, I think?¡± Ever since the bullies came into her life, she had constantly wished that Luna and her gang would drop dead or at least catastrophes would happen to them. So in response to this news she had a big bright smile. Two weeks passed by, and Luna hadn''t come to school at all these days. Emma had it rather nice. In this time, she had been able to go to her favorite club at school and reconnect with some friends who had decided to leave her when Luna approached her, afraid that they''d be caught up in the conflict. The bullies had rarely bothered her. Sometimes they had only asked Emma to buy them some snacks and drinks, which was rather tame. The path she used to get home changed after Luna¡¯s disappearance. She no longer walked through the disgusting alleyways. Instead, she walked on the city''s clean sidewalks on her way back home. Passing by an intersection, Emma stubbed her toe and let out a soundless scream. She inspected what it was. An iron box that had text in bold red ''WB'' and a symbol of a wolf with swan-like wings taking flight. Iron box Still feeling pain in her pinkie toe Emma picked the odd iron box simply because she wanted to know why the damn thing would be in the middle of the street. Picking it up she notice a green tag on the iron box it read ¡®return to chugach national forest in the insides of a pond filled with black rocks in noon if possible¡¯ and in bold read on the bottom of the tag ¡®DO NOT OPEN¡¯ After reading this Emma brown eyes squinted at the words chugach national forest and her mind was filled with constant questions ¡®How did something from the Chugach mountains come all the way here in anchorage? Why leave the thing inside of a pond, is the owner of the iron box trying to lose it?¡¯ Confused by the owner of the iron box return area, Emma had one big glaring question in her mind, should she return the iron box she did find on the floor first. Plus it could be something really important to the owner of the iron box. Her curiosity was gnawing on her to find out. Emma had always been a child who had wanted to explore the unknown; it was what her late father had encouraged her to do as a child. He had always told her that the better she knew about the world the less dangerous it is. Confused on what was the right answer, Emma let her curiosity take control of her. But before she did she wanted to tell her mom that she was going to be arriving home late today. She really did not want her mom to worry too much about her. ** After calling an uber it took her around 2 and half hours to finally reach Chugach national forest. She was greeted by a sign that''s dark brown displaying the words in golden text ¡®Chugach national forest¡¯ and a lake that reflected the clouds and mountains, a forest that had a seemingly endless amount of trees. ¡®Where am I even supposed to find this pond?¡¯ That question had ignited her desire to explore the beautiful sights. Running through the forest, taking pictures of it every step of the way, hiking on trails, and exploring the footholds of the mountains were the all things she had before actually beginning looking for the black rock pond mentioned in the tag. By the time she had actually begun looking for it was already nearly noon she was rushing looking for all the places where she had encountered ponds. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Looking for the pond was nearly impossible for Emma. She had failed countless times thinking that it was the right place to lay it down. Soon Emma just gave in and decided to lay on the grass near one pond that was in between the foothold of two mountains. As noon came something strange had happened. The pond in front of her reflected the sun and the rock in it had changed color, they were all pitch black! Relieved that she ended up finding the strangely beautiful looking pond Emma pondered to herself ¡®This must be why the owner of the iron box said wait till noon¡¯ Picking up the box she headed towards the center of the pond and laid down the box. Emma didn''t want to leave just yet though she still wanted her questions to be answered about the box for her. So she waited to return to the spot near the edge of the pond. thirty minutes had passed by and nothing seemed to happen. It had already been dark outside. Two hours had passed Emma was still waiting eagerly for the owner to appear, after three hours passed Emma thought that the owner of the iron box may never appear so she took the box out of the pond soaking her shoes again fearing that someone else might take the iron box for themselves. She had wanted to keep it with her till tomorrow to wait again for the owner of the iron box. Heading home Emma had grabbed out her phone to call an uber again as she did Emma had seen the numerous messages her mom had sent her. WIth a face that was filled with worry Emma had texted her mom back with ¡®sorry mom, I Was busy and forgot about the time I was supposed to come back home¡¯ and quickly called an uber. The uber had taken a while to reach anchorage. At that time Emma was twiddling her thumbs and occasionally looking out the window, she was extremely bored. With the iron box sitting on her lap and nothing to do her curiosity, till one point she couldn''t handle it anymore with her curiosity nearly eating her alive she quickly opened the box to find a black cushion covering the insides and a regular piece of paper that had something written on it ¡°Congrats you failed to not look through someone else''s property, oh well if you did there''s no need to leave the box in the new location I set up, I will come shortly to pick up the wishing box so keep it with you, see you then¡± Emma¡¯s face ignited red at what was said, and remained silent through the entire trip back home. Emma had returned to Anchorage and begun her way back home using the path she had used in the past with Luna. Passing by the arcade Emma noticed something within her peripheral vision: it was a girl with black hair and red streaks in hair wearing a blue shirt with black jeans playing a game with another girl with blond hair wearing black a shirt and white sweatpants. Emma had known them both, they were Luna and her friend. The very sight of Luna made Emma''s hearts collapse with the sparkly in her eyes destroyed thinking about all the things Luna had done to her, being dunked in water, drawing things on her face, calling Emma an ant because that''s all that she would amount to life and many more things that she had done to her the entire school year. Clenching the Iron box tightly Emma ran home faster than before thinking ¡®Dammit, why could Luna just never come back, I wish you just died¡¯ her face looked visibly exhausted and she finally reached home, met by her mother''s gaze that was fixated on her eyes looking as if they were about to be flooded with tears . ¡°Emma, what happened to you are you alright¡± ¡°Sorry mom I just got distracted for a bit taking my time¡± Emma said with a visibly artificial smile on her face and left the living room slowly. She headed towards her bland room and dropped off the iron case near the door and went to lay on her comfy bed with tears, not prepared for school at all tomorrow. ¡®Why couldn''t Luna just die already¡¯ Wishing Box Wednesday 2014 april 29 Today was a normal school day, attending her regular class in a constant repetitive cycle. WHen suddenly she had bumped into one of the two usual bullies. ¡°Sorry,¡± Emma said in a quiet voice. ¡°It''s fine, just leave¡± the one with hazelnut hair responded with a lifeless face. Emma rushed off to her last class of the day a bit confused on why Luna''s little mobster had responded in such a polite manner, for her at least. Her last class which felt like it had taken hours to finish but merely an hour had actually passed by was finally over, and as soon as it did she headed out of the school to one of her friends who usually waited a bit outside of the school inside a neighborhood. ¡°Emma, look it¡¯s a ruby crowned kinglet!¡± A girl with blond hair black eyes, wearing a puffy long sleeve blue shirt, and black yoga pants shouted. Pointing at a nearby tree. ¡° That''s cool for you Scarlett, maybe your exotic fifty five bird quest can finally come to an end soon,¡± Emma had responded in a calm voice with a subtle smile on her face. ¡°No way I am only at number 20¡± Scarlett had Explained The bird obsessed girl had collected many different things like feathers or photographs from different birds. She had neatly organized them into three different categories: common, uncommon, and rare birds. She had a habit of telling everyone she knew if she ever encountered something in the rare category. As Scarlett and Emma chatted about their day and plans as they walked home. Emma had heard something from a different group of teenagers near her, one of them was the same girl with Luna yesterday, wearing blue jeans and a purple t-shirt. ¡°It''s sad to hear that Luna passed away because of a heart attack, but you can''t keep crying forever you know¡± One of the 4 girls that had surrounded her tried to comfort her. This news to Emma had come to her as a bit of shock. ¡®Luna had actually died, ¡wow¡¯ Emma had stood for a moment, motionless wondering if she should be happy about the fact that her bully had suddenly died. Feeling a tap on her shoulder she turned around to see Scarlett with a frown on her face. ¡°Hey Emma were you even listening to what I just said, I was wondering if you wanted to go to a cat cafe that had opened downtown yesterday,¡± Scarlett announced.Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°Oh uh sure why not, would you want to go tomorrow? It''s kind of a busy day for me today,¡± Emma answered. ¡°alright we can go tomorrow right after school then¡± Scarlett shouted A few moments later Scarlett had departed to her home, and EMma was left walking alone. With some alone time Emma had been pondering on the fact that Luna had suddenly died ¡®No way Luna had actually died Yippee! No more bullying for me!¡¯ Emma had walked the rest of the way back home with a smirk on her face. Reaching her apartment Emma grabbed a drink from the fridge, and watched some tv till her mom came back. A few hours passed by and it was already late afternoon Emma had been watching television the entire time. A knocking sound suddenly scared her as she was watching a horror film. Standing still for a moment Emma contemplating what had just happened, she heard the door open to see her mom with weary eyes. ¡°Emma mind making dinner today, oh yeah get the groceries to¡± Her mother asked in a drowsy tone. ¡°No problem mom, just let me get my wallet real quick¡± Emma hurried to her room. While looking for her wallet Emma tripped on the iron box in her complete forgetting it had ever existed in the first place. Suddenly she remembered something ¡®wasn''t this the ¡°wishing box¡±, did it actually grant my wish last night?¡¯ Thinking about it Emma had noticed that she had been holding the wishing box when she saw Luna with one of her friends playing some game. She did say that ¡®I wish that Luna had just died¡¯ in her head. ¡®Did I actually wish Luna to die... well good for me, that means that this wishing box is legit!¡¯ Closing her eyes Emma had grabbed the wishing box attempting to make another wish again ¡®I wish I had ten thousand dollars.¡¯ She opened her eyes that In fact she did not have ten thousand dollars on her bed waiting for her. Emma sighed in disappointment that she had not actually found a magical wishing box, and continued to look for her wallet. She threw the iron box on her bed She had spotted her wallet under her bed, Emma grabbed the wallet noticing that it was a bit heavier than before, curious why Emma had opened it to see fat stacks of a hundred dollar bills. Emma had been in a state of pure shock and joy ¡®It works, really works!¡¯ She had rushed to the iron box hoping to make another wish, one to explore the whole world. She closed herself and attempted to make another wish, ¡®I wish that you could take me all over the world.¡¯ She had opened her eyes to see her same bland room in front of her, Rummaging through her head thinking why it didn''t work that time she had heard her mother calling her name asking her to her up. Emma rushed out of her room with her wallet to get some groceries. Five minutes later Emma had reached the store and already grabbed everything she needed to cook some cheesy beef pasta for dinner. As she was checking everything out she noticed a short old lady who had been carrying multiple bags of groceries and was about to fall over. Emma had rushed to help the old lady out. Catching her Emma had asked ¡®are you alright ma¡¯am¡± ¡°Oh yes, would you mind helping me carry my groceries back home¡± the old lady asked. Thinking about it for a moment Emma respond ¡°uh, sure right I after I grab my own groceries¡± Emma had rushed to the counter to pick her groceries and picked half of the old lady''s too. She had exited the building with the old woman walking the opposite direction of her house. ¡°Young girl, mind if ask what your name is you can call Mrs. Zoe¡± the old lady inquired Emma''s eyes had widened ''that''s Luna last name! Is she her grandma¡¯ ¡°Emma Rosie¡± Emma answered honestly Cat Cafe ¡°Emma, why that''s a lovely name¡± the old lady with a yellow dress, yellow boots and white hair praised as the two continued walking down towards where Mrs.Zoe lived. With a bunch of grocery bags on her face Emma asked ¡°Thank you Mrs.Zoe, how long will it take to reach your home?¡± ¡°Not that long away from here. It''s a thirteen minute walk,¡± Mrs. Zoe had answered with a big smile on her face. After a few minutes past, out in dark Mrs. Zoe suddenly said ¡°Emma, would you mind if I told you something, I just need to get this off my chest¡± ¡°No problem go ahead¡± Emma responded with a smile behind the many grocery bags she was carrying. ¡°Well recently my son has been going through somethings, and I don''t know what to do about it makes me feel that I messed up as a mother¡± Mrs.Zoe Confessed ¡°Oh¡ if you don''t mind me asking, what had happened to your son then?¡± Emma requested with a slight resemblance of queasiness in her voice ¡°His wife had died 2 weeks ago putting him in quite a miserable state for a few days, then his only child passed from a weird heart attack yesterday, with his father already passed 2 years ago. I''m the only one he has left¡± The old lady paused for a bit with tears flowing down her cheek. ¡° I¡¯m already nearing death door to, I don¡¯t want my son to be alone or, do something worse hurt himself!¡± With a moment of silence both continued to walk towards Mrs. Zoe¡¯s home. Emma had no clue what to say to the old lady except for ¡°sorry all that had happened to you mrs. Zoe, I don''t think that I can help¡± ¡°No need to apologize you did nothing, plus telling someone about this feels quite good¡± Mrs. Zoe replied ¡° Actually, thank you for listening to me. It''s nice getting these emotions out of my system,¡± Mrs Zoe said with a bright smile on her face. After walking in the dark for a bit they had reached a condo with white and black colors. ¡°Bye Emma this is where I live, and again thank you very much for sparing your time and helping me out¡± Mrs. Zoe grabbed her groceries from Emma and had waved at herUnlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. Emma had gone back to her home in the noisy wave of cars in the night with her own groceries in her hand. Thinking about the old lady Emma had felt her heart start to tense from the nice old lady¡¯s situation. A few minutes paseses by and she had reached her home, her mother was sleeping on the couch looking like she had finally got the only rest she had gotten thought out the entire year. She had made some dinner for herself and went to rest for the next day. Entering her room she saw the wishing box in the middle of her bed. Looking at the box Emma had felt a bit sad about what had happened to Mrs.Zoe and threw it off her bed. The magic box landed towards the east side of the room where her window was. Thursday 2014 April 30th, Having already finished with school Emma and scarlett headed towards a cat cafe The cafe looked pretty spacious with the mix of white walls, dark brown wood tile floor and furniture, gold chandeliers hanging on the roof and a pristine black counter, and a ton of cats and cat toys all over the place. Emma and Scarlett were a bit astonished by the scene. This was the first they had seen so many different cats in one place. Scarlett had immediately rushed towards the cats and, and the cats were running away from her. The situation had seemed pretty funny to Emma letting out a small giggle when one of the cats had come near her; it was a calico cat with a single eye. She had looked at it and picked it up out of pity for the cat. After a few moments of playing around Emma ordered Kombucha, which is sweetened black tea. While Scarlet had some Hot chocolates and a few biscuits to share with the cats. Sipping on her Kombucha, Emma had looked out of the window to see the old lady from before but this time wearing a purple coat with a wooden walking stick. Mrs. Zoe looked towards the left as she was doing her regular morning walk and saw the kid she met yesterday with another girl with blond hair. Wanting to say hello she had entered the cafe where the two girls were. Emma had greeted mrs.Zoe and introduced her to her friend Scarlett who was sitting next to her, occupied with three different cats a black fluffy one, a calico cat , and a cat with a golden mane Mrs. Zoe had decided to chat with the young folks imparting some wisdom with them. ¡°That''s why dogs are not better than cats and cats are not better than dogs,¡± The two young girls were listening to Mrs. Zoe''s lecture attentively. Scarlett had ended up with another ¡®favorite animal of the month¡¯ by the end of it. While Scarlett and Mrs.Zoe had continued to chat Emma was really feeling well especially with Luna¡¯s grandma here it felt like chest had tightened a bit. As they continued to chat, Emma had let go of her drink and dismissed herself out of the cat cafe. But before she could Mrs. Zoe had spoken. ¡°Oh Emma dear would you mind If I talked to you again, It did wonders on me the first time we talked I never felt that refreshed in a while¡± Emma had answered ¡°sure¡± With that Emma had left the cafe confused on why she had agreed to do such a thing; it already hurted her heart to be around her. Walking home in the middle of the afternoon. She thought about they might be talking about again ¡® She probably gonna tell me about Luna or her daughter this time¡¯ She had reached home just wanting to watch some TV. Coming inside the spacious apartment she had been met by her mother who was currently eating scrambled eggs. Kaylyn Rosie Wednesday 2014 April 29th Kaylayn Rosie Had accidentally fallen asleep on the couch waiting for her daughter to return. By the time she had half woken up it was late in the morning. ¡®Work, money need¡¯ with those few words Kaylyn had gotten up completely with not a trace of tiredness. Waking up the blue fluffy couch she had made herself and Emma breakfast. Kaylyn had gotten ready for work, wearing white button up shirt, with a blue tie, and a long dark blue coat. Before she had left, she took out a cigarette and went out of the apartment complex and had a quick smoke break before she headed to work. With that she had left and headed towards the bus stop heading to work with an expressionless face. The bus had felt and smelt like a can of sardines, Kaylyn had plugged her nose after a bit no longer being able to withstand the filthy smell. As the stops continued to pass by Kaylyn had finally reached her own and went to The giant building with countless amounts of windows. This is where Kaylyn had worked. Entering the building she had met the receptionist, a guy with his hair tied in a bun and a scattered beard. The man had looked at her with a bright smile ¡°Kaylyn would you wanna go to a cookout with me and some other co worker? It will be at my place.¡± the man said with a smirk on his oddly punchable face. ¡°No¡± Kaylyn said while heading towards the elevator ¡°Why not, I promise you the food will not be bad¡± The man with a bun said. ¡°...¡± Kaylyn had left the lobby disregarding whatever the receptionist had said.Stolen novel; please report. She was in a room that looked like it was soulless =, with bland white walls and one or two water dispensers to help you work longer. The floor was jam packed with a bunch of small cubicles with many people working on them. She headed towards her own cubicle that was entirely grey with a computer, and had a chair with wheels like the rest. The only difference about hers was a picture of her and Emma in a flower field in the past. ¡®That girl better get a good job¡¯ A balding old man wearing a blue button up shirt and jeans who was near the cubicle Kaylyn had worked in suddenly spoke to Kaylyn ¡°Kaylyn, how''s your day been.¡± The two had continued to chat for a bit while they had worked in their cubicles. A few hours had passed by and Kaylyn had nearly finished her work for the day. In the middle of her break she had received a text from Emma telling her she was going to be at a cafe so she would be coming home late today. As soon as she had received that text the man with a bun came up to her. ¡°Are you sure you don''t want to go today?¡± The man with the bun asked. Thinking about it for a bit, Kaylyn wanted to treat herself to some free food. ¡°Sure¡± Kaylyn answered with a cold voice. ¡°Great Marlin, Cath, and Caleb are coming, it''s going to be a great time I promise you love it¡± The man with a bun had said. Kaylyn had looked at the man with a smile and said ¡° I am sure it¡¯ll be¡± Knowing that they were giving out free food, how could it not be a good time. With that Kaylyns free time had come to an end and continued to work for the remaining hour. When it has finally come the hour where she can finally leave her damn job. Walking to the bus stop Kaylyn had encountered a man with ragged clothes and a hat. ¡°Give me all you have lady¡± The raggedy man''s hand was in his pocket pointing towards her. ¡°No,¡± Kaylyn had answered. ¡°You know I got a gun lady, I wouldn''t mind taking your money from your corpse¡± The raggedy man now aggressively pointing at her with his hand in his pocket. ¡° A finger gun?¡± Kaylyn answered, purely guessing. ¡° What no I got a real gun in here y¡¯know¡± The raggedy man assured. ¡°And I got a real job, maybe you should consider getting one too,¡± Kaylyn said. The man had stopped trying to rob her, realizing that it would lead to any result. After a few minutes Kaylyn had gotten on the bus with a small smile knowing that she had finished her work for the day. Upon reaching her apartment Kaylyn had received a text from her co-worker with the man bun. ¡° Cookout happens 2 hours from now, just telling you this now :) ¡° Kaylyn had lay on the couch watching some television for an hour when a door had opened. Seeing this Kaylyn had gotten up to see who it was. Emma had come back home earlier than she had expected her to. Mrs. Zoe and her son (1) ¡°Emma, why are you back so early?¡± Kaylyn had asked in confusion thinking that Emma was going to come back at a later time because of the text she had sent. ¡°5:46 PM is not early mom¡± Emma had said in a playful tone. ¡° I thought you were coming home at 8 or 9, because that''s late, not 5 o¡¯clock,¡± Kaylyn responded with a sincere smile. ¡°Anyways, do you want to come to a cookout with me?¡± Kaylyn had inquired. ¡°Sure mom I don''t really have anything to do anyways¡± Emma had replied. With that Kaylyn had looked for a phone which was seemingly lost in the couch they she had been laying on. When she had found Kaylyn had texted her work friends in a group chat a question. ¡°Would you all mind if my daughter came along with me?¡± ¡°No¡± Cath had answered immediately ¡°I dont think it''s a good idea to leave a kid with a bunch of drunk adults,¡± Caleb had answered. ¡°Yeah no, I just wanted all of us to be there¡± the bun man had answered. Thinking about the instantaneous denines rude denies Kaylyn had gone to inform her daughter about. When suddenly her phone rang in her hand from a notification. ¡°If you are looking for a place to drop your kid off, she can stay at my place with my mom. I don''t really feel like going anyways,¡± Martin had responded. Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Would you want to go to one of my coworkers'' places instead?, apparently his grandma makes nice cookies¡± Her mom had mentioned. ¡°Sure¡± Emma reluctantly replied and agreed simply because she had asked her. ¡°Neat, I''ll tell you when¡± Her mom added. An hour and half passed by, and Emma had arrived at one of her mom¡¯s co-workers'' places. It was the same black and white condos that she had helped the old lady from before. After saying bye to her mother she had gone towards the condos with a thought that had lingered in her mind ever since Mrs. Zoe had told her about her problems. ¡®It''s your fault, you killed Luna¡¯ With that Emma had entered the condo being met by a large man with a thick beard, empty black eyes that had seemed to peer through a void, a healthy amount of hair, wearing blue striped pajamas. ¡°Your Kaylyn¡¯s kid, you''re older than I thought you were, you look about the same age as my own daughter¡± The man had said with a weary expression. ¡°Ma! The guess is here¡± shouted the man. An old lady with a black night gown had come to the door a few minutes after she was called. Rushing she had said ¡° I am here, where¡¯s the kid,¡± Mrs. Zoe had started at her for a bit then shouted ¡°Emma! I didn''t know you were coming today, would you like some snacks¡± After greeting each other the three of them had come up the stairs that had separated the door from the rest of the house. The living room was rather spacious. Having multiple paintings, with a patterned brown, green, gray striped couch sitting right in the middle of the room, and a tv facing the north side of the room playing a movie, and a bucket of popcorn on a glass table in between the two. With Emma feeling like she had weights on her heart they had asked her to join them watching a movie. Not really wanting to agree, she had. Mrs. Zoe had grabbed the remote and played the movie, The Judge. Mrs. Zoe and her son (2) The Judge had started although it had been quite a good movie Emma didn''t really enjoy it that much. While watching the movie she had been feeling a fair amount of guilt. It didn''t completely stop her from enjoying, Feeling like she was in the movie herself how she had been feeling the raw emotions scenes had brought her. Mrs. Zoe had been crying when the movie had ended, Her son had looked like he was at the edge of his seat while it had ended. While Emma herself had done¡ nothing really. She had been just sitting there not understanding why she hadn''t done what either of them had done, feeling like an outlier for not being moved by it like Luna¡¯s grandma and father. When the movie had finished it was already late into the night with no signs of her mom returning. ¡°Emma, would you want to sleep over here while you wait for your mother to return?¡± Luna¡¯s dad had asked while sitting on the couch. ¡°I can wait¡± Emma had replied instantaneously. ¡°Alright, if you change your mind you can head to the on the left side upstairs, oh if you need anything call me over I wont be heading to sleep yet¡± Luna¡¯s dad had said heading towards the stairs that was near the entrance. Mrs Zoe had headed upstairs looking tired, with her eyes nearly closing. ¡°Well then, goodnight Emma¡± When the two of them had left Emma had felt abandoned by her own mother. She had really wished that her mom was here so she could leave. Twenty minutes had already passed Emma had been doing nothing the entire time. Not knowing what to do with that time she had on her she had decided that she would explore Luna¡¯s room. ¡®Selfish, very selfish of myself¡¯ Emma had thought to herself thinking that what she had wanted to do was very improper. Headed up the stairs Emma had taken notice of the fours room in the rugged hallway. Two rooms on the right and two on the left. ¡®Luna¡¯s Dad said left, right? So which one would be Luna¡¯s room¡¯ Emma had thought mischievously. She had tried to open the door that was closer to her. Opening the door the room revealed a queen size bed in the center of it with an old lady sleeping in it. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ¡®Wrong room¡¯ Closing the door as fast as she could while not making a lot of noise. Emma had headed to the room right next to the first on the right side. Opening the room had a ton of things in it. First off a bed with pink and white striped sheets, The room had multiple shelves, some had photos and some had books. The one that stood out the most to Emma was one with a photo of Luna as a child. The picture had seemed to be taken on a picnic blanket with blue and white colors. It had three people in the photo. One was Luna looking like she was around the age of ten or so. Another had been a lady Emma had never seen before, she had looked like Luna but older and with brown curly hair. The last person was none other than Luna¡¯s Dad himself. In this photo he seemed more lively or just more alive in general. Luna¡¯s Dad looked clearly different then he is right now. Going a bit further into the room Emma had noticed something: it was a wooden nightstand with flowers on top of it. The nightstand had seemed alluring to Emma, she headed towards it to open the wooden stand. Opening it Emma had seen a black notebook inside there. It had text that read ¡°Luna¡¯s, Don''t touch¡± Seeing that Emma had really wanted to open and search what could be inside of it, but before she could Emma heard a sound coming from the room behind her. Emma had turned around immediately ¡°Emma, I said on the left¡± It was Luna¡¯s Dad at the door with the same weary expression. ¡°Oh, sorry,¡± Retorted Emma. ¡°Your mom had called, she should be coming back soon,¡± Luna¡¯s dad had announced. ¡®Finally she¡¯s coming back¡¯ Emma had thought to herself with her face visibly telling that she was. After looking around for a bit Luna¡¯s dad had looked like he remembered something. ¡°Oh and Emma, I am sorry for everything Luna had done to you, I should¡¯ve acted like a father better¡± Hearing this Emma had been utterly surprised not knowing how to respond to Luna¡¯s dad for a moment. ¡°It¡¯s fine, it''s not like you did anything to me in the first place,¡± Emma had said turning back focus towards the book. Luna¡¯s dad had just looked at her for a few moments of silence. ¡°Would you mind leaving this room though, it had belonged to Luna¡± Luna dads had inquired. Emma had left the room and headed back to the living just to sit there in silence before her mother arrived. Ten minutes passed and Emma heard a honking sound from the outside of the door and someone coming down from the stairs. ¡°Emma! Your mother is here¡± shouted Luna¡¯s dad. Emma had rushed towards the door wanting to just leave the place already. Looking outside she saw a few people and her mother inside of the car. ¡°Emma, we''re going home¡± her mother had said sitting on the driver''s seat. With that she had entered the only free seat left in the car, the passenger''s seat. They had entered multiple places before actually going home themselves. One the way to one of the other people¡¯s home a man with a bun had ended up puking in the sidewalk after he dared to do it in the car. After a few stops they had finally headed back to their own home. It had been the same as how they had left it before. Emma immediately headed to her bed, but then something had nearly made her trip as she was fetching her pajamas, it was the wishing box. Diary Emma had almost fallen over the wishing box, In a daze for a moment Emma had realized she had still had it. The wishing box was something that Emma had nearly forgotten about with all the things that have been happening recently. ¡®Wait, this thing can still make wishes right¡¯ Caught up in the moment, Emma had been thinking over the things that she could have wished for, Like traveling all over the world, or wishing for so much money that her mom wouldn''t have to work at all. Out of all the things that Emma had wanted to wish for there was one that had cared a very little about, but she was extremely curious. What was the notebook inside the drawer that Emma had found before. Luna¡¯s dad didn''t even allow her to dare to look inside the room, so of course she was curious what was inside the notebook. Could it be a diary, or could it be just a regular notebook that Luna had once used for school? Emma was hoping it was the first. Besides what could Luna be hiding In that notebook if it was. Was it just recording of her torchering Emma in ways none could have thought of before. Emma had suddenly felt enraged by what the context of the notebook could contain. Forgetting about the other options due to an irritating feeling Emma had just wished for Luna¡¯s notebook. A few moments later Emma had felt her right hand¡¯s weight had increased in an instant. Opening hers she saw that Luna¡¯s notebook had ended up in her hand. Emma was dazzled by the power of the wishing box again curious to find out where its origins were. The notebook in her hand had the same color, and text as it had before. ¡°Luna, Don''t touch¡± Emma had been nauseously curious about the notebook, after a few seconds of looking at it she had opened the notebook to its first page it read. ¡°August 31, 2014. This would be the first page of my diary wouldn''t it, I¡¯m still not sure if getting one was a good idea. What if some sees this! Anyways I heard the whole point of the diary was to write how you feel about the day, not whatever comes to your mind at the moment. So here we go today had been um¡ I can''t really think of a word of how it felt, maybe exciting, frustrating, scary? I have finally moved to a new city, Anchorage doesn''t seem too bad for me. Maybe I¡¯ll like it a bit better in the future. I also miss my friends from Skagway, But I don''t wanna go back there. What if those bullies come and find me. Just to beat me to a pulp. Maybe I¡¯m also happy about it too. I don''t have to deal with damn bullies anymore, sorry friends, no more bullying for me! My dad had found a new job in Anchorage that had wanted him to move there. After discussing with mom ( she didn''t want to move at all, Skagway had been the place she and grandma had grown up in ). A bit of arguing later dad had won and I had to pack my bags. I didn''t want to leave without saying bye to my friends but I kind of had to. Those bullies who had been waiting, were at the place my friends and I had usually hung around. I wanted to say bye but I ended up being a victim for my last day in anchorage. Damn aint I disappointing huh. I couldn''t even do what I had set out to do. Oh and also while we were driving to Anchorage dad had been singing an old folk song the entire way there making the already long drive seem even longer. Mom had tried to shut him up but it only ended up with him going on for longer! Only near the end of the drive did he finally shut up ( already driven 10 hours by the way). I had a few hours of sleep before finally reaching Anchorage. The place that we were currently staying at for a moment was a condo that looked pretty nice actually, my room had only a queen size bed in it already with no sheets so I guess I¡¯ll have fun with that later. I¡¯m going to a new school tomorrow. I don''t really know how I will feel about it. Maybe I can make new friends easily or not. Well it''s still going to be better than the last school I went to, I don''t have to deal with those bullies after all!¡± Reading Emma had felt perplexed on what Luna had said. She had bullies at some point of her life then why did she bully me! ¡®She just a hypocritical bully¡¯ At that moment Emma didn''t really know what to think about Luna. Was she just some hypocrite who had felt the pain of bullying but does it to others anyways, Emma wished to know more about her former bully wondering why she would do all of that to her. A few hours had passed and it was 4 am. In the middle of the night Emma had finished reading the entire diary that had belonged to Luna. What Luna did Friday May 1st 2014 Emma had not slept that night; she had been just reading Luna¡¯s diary over and over again, making sense of the questions she had about why Luna had done so many things, and why Luna had cared so much about her. It was the last page on the half finished diary. ¡°October 13th, I dont what to do, I don''t want it to happen to me again, I don''t want to be the one getting hurt anymore, I''m sorry for what I did to her, I didn''t want to hurt that girl. I just thought that I could finally be free, it was either her or me.¡± Emma had found herself sympathizing with her. Luna had been generally never meant to be so cruel to her she hadnt meant to harm her as much as she did, but Luna had still hurted her. No matter how much Emma had sympathized with her she had never considered her actions ¡®humane¡¯ she had absolutely refused to forgive her. ¡¯ The diary had no more pages left after that. By the time she had been completely finished with it had still been early in the morning. ¡°EMMA, you ave school today, get up¡± shouted her mother who was behind the door. Emma had been sitting on her bed throughout the entire night not even having a second of sleep. ¡°Alright, wait I¡¯m coming over in a minute¡± Emma had shouted in response. After getting out of her pajamas and heading towards the shower, Emma had been wondering why her mother had ¡®woken¡¯ her up. She had usually slept till it was late in the morning or sometimes even later than that. Today she had been awake way earlier than that, it had left Emma confused for a bit but She had just decided it was a good thing for her and moved on with her day.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. After taking a short warm refreshing shower and wearing clothes, she had headed towards the kitchen where her breakfast was already made for her. It was another odd occurrence that had come from her mother. ¡°I made your favorite breakfast, pancakes with whip cream¡± Her mother had an abundant amount of pancakes in a single plate. ¡°I don''t think I can call that mom¡± Emma had replied in a respectful tone, she had been sure eating that much could destroy her slim figure. ¡°Alright¡± Emma¡¯s mom had to taken off a few pancakes from the bottom and had given her the plate. The food had looked pretty good, Emma wanted to eat it, but she hadn''t. It was one of Luna¡¯s favorite foods too, she had said that she absolutely loved the taste of the pancakes, something that she had completely agreed with. Emma didn''t really want to eat it, her appetite had disappeared. Looking at the food for a few moments she had told her mother. ¡°Actually I don''t really want to eat right now¡± Emma had left the small kitchen area and headed towards the door. ¡°I¡¯ll be going to school then, bye mom¡± Emma had announced. ¡°Stay safe Emma¡± Emma¡¯s mom had replied. Emma had left and begun walking to her school that was a mile far from home simply because she had wanted to. ** School had already finished for the day for her and her only two free days had begun. She had been walking back home with Scarlett today like usual. The two of them hadn''t walked far from the school and as they were about to, someone had stopped them. It was the same girl from before that was with Luna, but today she had worn white long sleeve shirt with slim fit pants with brown pants. ¡°Would you mind if I talked to you alone Emma¡± The girl had asked her. ¡°Sure¡± Emma had responded leaving her friend for a bit and heading towards a tree that seemed to have zero people near it. Emma had actually already known the girl''s name. she was Camila, one of Luna¡¯s first friends when arriving to anchorage. Camila had been with her for a bit but got scared off from the bullies Luna had been surrounded with. ¡°Sorry, for being so weak¡± Emma had been baffled for a bit, had she read her mind? ¡°I¡¯m sorry that Luna had done all those horrible things to you I truly am, and she was too. She had really wanted to say sorry to you¡± Before Friday 2014 April 25th Luna''s mother had died and her furnearl was being held today. In a gravesite where a bunch of people had gathered, Luna had been watching as they lowered her mother¡¯s corpse in a casket down a hole. Luna¡¯s facial expressions had diminished as she saw the casket going down the big hole in the ground. ¡®She¡¯s really dead¡¯ Luna had wanted to turn back time to a point where herself, her father, and mother were once a happy family. She had missed the time they had first spent in Anchorage, where her mother and father hadn''t started to fight, where she wasn''t friends with those assholes, she had deeply missed it. ¡°Luna¡ it''s going to be alright, you''re a kind strong soul I know you''re going to be ok. Your mother would be proud of you¡± Her father had scrambled for the right words to say. Thinking about what her father had said and what she had been doing for the past few months and said to herself. ¡®I''m not kind or strong at all, if anything I¡¯m a coward,¡¯ An hour had passed by and the funeral had ended, with no one remaining in the graveyard. Luna and her father had been the ones to leave the graveyard last the drive back home for them had been excruciatingly silent. By the time they had reached home her father had asked her. ¡°Luna, you can tell me if your hurt y¡¯know¡± Luna had unknowingly ignored her dad, silently cursed herself for not spending time with her mother more. She headed to her room. Luna had been sitting in her room for hours upon hours, and had been doing nothing for the entire time. she had asked herself repeatedly what if she was a better human being would things be different then. Would she have had a better life if she was braver and stopped herself from being such a bad person. What if she had been more knowledgeable and stopped her parents from fighting. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. She had been wallowing for the entire day wishing for a better life. By the time it was morning Luna had still been up, her father had knocked on her door, to be met with silence. ¡°Luna, are you up?¡± her father had questioned. Not hearing a response Luna¡¯s dad had continued. ¡°You can stay home from school if you want to, I''ve got to work¡± Luna¡¯s Father had informed her. He had quietly walked away leaving Luna alone by herself. Five days had passed by, In that time Luna had barely eaten, and stayed in her room. She did not know what to do about herself anymore, contemplating why she should be alive in the first place. As she was sitting in the room with a dead expression on her face, her phone had ranged from a text from one of her actual former friends, Camila. She had sent something that made Luna stare at the screen for ¡°Sorry for being such bad friend Luna¡± Luna had replied quickly ¡°You have nothing to be sorry for. I was the one who had left you to hang around with those bullies.¡± After a few seconds Camilla had replied. ¡° And I was the one who let you do it, I¡¯m sorry.¡± Thinking for a moment on how to reply to her friend she had said ¡° It was my own decision that led me to do what I had done, plus I don''t think you could have stopped me anyways¡± ¡°Really because I don''t really think so, If I had stood up for you would you have been my friend still¡± Camilia had declared. ¡°We are still friends, right,¡± Luna had texted in return. A minute had passed by for Camila to reply ¡° Yeah¡° Camila and Luna had been talking for a few hours till the had decided they had wanted to meet at an arcade to hang out for a while. Getting out of her room wanting to dress herself she had noticed that she had been quite stinky. Luna had taken a warm shower to clean herself up. Getting off the shower she had gotten some new clothes thinking about what her and Camila are going to play. By the time she had been there, so was Camila. It was the first time in a while that she felt something other than being sad. It was so exhilarating to play games with Camila. ¡°Camila, Thank you, if not for you I would have been trapped in my room for all my life. I promise I¡¯ll be a better friend and won''t hurt anyone anymore. I¡¯ll start by apologizing to everyone I had hurt and ask for their forgiveness¡± Luna had declared while watching her friend play dance dance revolution. As soon as she had said that she had fallen over. Feeling that her heart had been torn to shreds inside her body. Luna didn''t want to die already; she hadn''t even had the chance to say sorry to anyone at all. She had finally begun to want to live . She tried to shout for help but the only thing that came out was saliva with her tears running down her cheek like a river. Luna had died.
