《RISE OF THE ETERNAL CLAN》 Chapter 1 - New Life Chapter 1: New Life The cold vacuum of space had always been a silent witness to humanity''s achievements and failures. Adam Valar, a brilliant scientist turned astronaut, gazed out of the reinforced window of his Mars-bound shuttle. The crimson surface of the planet loomed below, a stark reminder of humanity¡¯s insatiable curiosity. He adjusted his communication console, noting the spike in radiation levels with concern. "Control, this is Adam. Radiation levels are spiking¡ªway beyond the projected thresholds. Is this a solar flare?" he asked, his voice steady despite the rising tension. Static crackled back before the voice of Mission Control broke through, strained and uncertain. "Negative, Adam. We¡¯re seeing¡ something anomalous. It¡¯s not natural. Hold position, we¡¯re analyzing." Adam¡¯s brow furrowed. Anomalous? The word gnawed at him. He tapped into the shuttle¡¯s sensors, his scientific curiosity overriding the creeping unease. His calculations painted a grim picture¡ªthe radiation spike wasn¡¯t just dangerous; it was catastrophic. Before he could report back, the world around him erupted. A shockwave of pure energy tore through the cosmos, blinding and unstoppable. Adam barely had time to brace before the shuttle¡¯s systems overloaded. Pain lanced through his body as the radiation engulfed him. His last conscious thought was of Earth, his home, and the unfulfilled dreams he¡¯d leave behind. Adam awoke to nothingness. A vast, unending void stretched in every direction. Time became meaningless, as seconds stretched into years and years into eternity. He had no body, no form¡ªonly thought. At first, panic consumed him. His breaths were absent, his limbs nonexistent. All he could feel was the overwhelming emptiness of his surroundings. His mind raced in the infinite dark. Was he dead? Was this the end? He could remember his life¡ªhis passion for science, the curiosity that had driven him to space, and the mission to explore Mars. Then, the explosion of cosmic energy. His shuttle had been torn apart. But now, there was nothing. No sound, no light, no sensation. Just endless void. Yet, even in this suffocating nothingness, Adam refused to give in. He was a scientist, after all. His mind was his greatest tool, and he would use it to survive. With a focus that transcended his confusion and fear, he began to think. He conjured a thought, a single fragment of memory. His Earth¡ªhis home. It appeared before him, not as a mere image, but as something vivid and tangible. The bustling streets of New York, the towering buildings, the faces of his friends and family. They seemed so distant now, like a dream just out of reach. But the void kept pressing, suffocating, demanding his attention. His mind drifted to the idea of a multiverse, of universes beyond his own. He was no longer confined to one reality, no longer restricted to the limitations of his earthly knowledge. And in this place, he could experiment. He could theorize. He could grow.If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. For countless years, Adam immersed himself in his thoughts. He delved deep into the mysteries of the universe, calculating and simulating the greatest challenges humanity had never conquered. He resolved the paradoxes of energy, figured out how to control time, and rewrote the laws of physics. He created worlds and destroyed them, testing the very fabric of existence, refining his mind. But despite his intellectual triumphs, he was still alone. Far away, in a corner of the universe that had been stable for eons, a being of immense power staggered. Lord Thanor, an entity so ancient that stars had risen and fallen in his lifetime, had crashed into this universe after fleeing a brutal defeat. His once-immaculate form was charred, his power dwindling. He clutched his side, ichor seeping between his fingers, and glared at the omnipresent force that governed this universe: the Dao. The Dao was young, incomplete, and yet¡ unyielding. Its voice resonated, not in words but in undeniable commands. "Restore the balance. Repair what you¡¯ve broken. Revive the life you¡¯ve taken." Thanor growled, his pride bristling. "Revive a mere mortal? Waste my strength on something so insignificant?" "You will comply or face the consequences." The Dao¡¯s will pressed against him, an unbearable weight even for one as mighty as Thanor. Reluctantly, he extended his power, mending the tears in the fabric of the universe caused by his arrival. Planets stabilized, radiation receded, and life was preserved. But when it came to Adam, Thanor hesitated. Instead of reviving the mortal, he funneled the remaining energy into healing his own wounds. The Dao¡¯s presence surged with fury. "You dare defy me?" Thanor smirked, the arrogance of his kind shining through despite his injuries. "You are young, incomplete. Perhaps it¡¯s time someone tested you." And so, the battle began. Thanor, a powerhouse of unimaginable strength, unleashed his full might. Stars trembled, galaxies rippled, and the fabric of reality itself bent under their clash. But the Dao, though young, was inexorable. It adapted, grew stronger, and turned Thanor¡¯s attacks back upon him. In a final act of defiance, Thanor poured every ounce of his existence into a desperate strike. "If I fall, you fall with me!" he roared. The explosion that followed obliterated them both. The Dao¡¯s consciousness shattered, its guiding hand removed from the universe. Thanor¡¯s essence disintegrated, leaving nothing behind. The universe spiraled into chaos, its natural laws thrown into disarray. Amidst the chaos, Adam¡¯s consciousness drifted. The void around him began to shift, colors and shapes bleeding into existence. He felt a pull, an irresistible force drawing him toward a point of light. For the first time in eons, he felt something other than emptiness. When he opened his eyes, he was no longer in the void. Warmth enveloped him, and unfamiliar sounds filled his ears. His vision was blurry, but he could make out figures moving around him. He felt small, weak, yet alive. A deep, resonant voice broke through the haze, filled with authority. "The child is born." A pair of hands cradled him gently, and Adam felt the sensation of being held for the first time in what felt like an eternity. His vision cleared, and he saw a man towering over him, his features sharp, his eyes fierce yet warm. His presence was commanding, like that of a leader, and the moment Adam gazed up at him, he knew this man held power. The man looked down at him, eyes softening with affection. ¡°You will be called Evan. Evan Walker, heir of the Walker Clan.¡± Adam¡¯s mind whirled. This was his new beginning, the start of something unimaginable. His old life was gone, but here, in this world, he had a chance¡ªa chance to grow, to explore, to understand this strange new reality. The words of the man, the father who held him, were no more than a whisper compared to the questions swirling in Adam¡¯s mind. And yet, for the first time since he had awakened in the void, Adam felt a sense of peace. The unknown lay before him, full of potential, and as he breathed in the air of this new world, the stirrings of hope, curiosity, and wonder took root in his heart. This was his new life. Chapter 2 - Future and Past ¡°Is this my new world ?¡± he thought. Trying to look everywhere Adam looked at everyone who was looking at him. Looking at the unreal surrounding his thoughts, wondering about what he faced and who he was. After spending the time inside the void he discovered and invented many formulas, theorems, and postulates. After around 50 years he even made major advancements into the quantum field. He knows how to make the best of the available resources. Knowing that even after a large amount of passage of time he still did not age, he was reviled and fully focused on solving various problems. He was not proficient in other fields but having nearly infinite time alone, he deduced it. Soon he also came to the conclusion that there was a limit to which he could retain the data. Yes he had hit the limit to which he could remember, which was a shocking thing. Still he did not give in easily, believing in the principle nothing is absolute he tried solving the problem. After spending nearly 100 years he found the solution to it. Which is making the information he learnt till now simpler and smaller without giving out the meaning behind it. Literally compressing the information. But he knew this was not the end solution as he still didn''t find a way to increase the capacity to store the information and data. Also he gave up counting how much time had passed after measuring till 10,000 years. Even after doing everything at some time he reached a point where there was literally nothing to think of. He had reached a point where he had all the information on all the things he could imagine. Yes it was like what would you think of if you can''t imagine it. That being said he still didn''t go astray and became a mentally handicapped person. He then thought about the future possibilities meaning what to do after leaving void. He don''t believe that he would die. If he had he would have died at the same point the solar storm hit him. After thinking about it he came to the conclusion that it was a waste of time, he knew nothing about the future. He can''t even think what would happen to him given the fact that it was all new to him. He then started making many simulations of him getting out the void. One of which was the current one. Still even after doing all those things he was still void. Slowly going insane, with nothing to see, hear, touch, smell let alone taste. He decided to use his last trump card - meditation. He tried to do it but then again how would you do meditation when you couldn''t see, hear, touch, smell let alone taste. Still not giving up he tried not to think of anything, which was hard given the fact he was constantly thinking for who knows how long. At first it was not successful but after a long time he could enter the state of not thinking for a few hours. He called this state his sleeping. Doing this again and again the frequency of getting disturbed by thinking gets lower and lower. But this was not a true state of not thinking anything as he was counting the time he stayed in this state. At last he didn''t even count the time and entered a complete sleeping state. While in the state for almost eternity he for the first time since coming to void light, a bright light that was slowly filling his entire field of vision. When he opened his eyes he was already born. Looking around the grand hall with majestic paintings and an open ceiling with dragons and phoenixes dancing under the blanket of darkness, he was shocked but he didn¡¯t panic. He was used to unexpected things happening in his life. After the void incident, there was little that could shock him. He spent so much time inside the void that he now was at a terrifying level of calmness. ¡°What is this smell? I have sensed it before on earth but couldn''t remember, leave it let me first enjoy a moment of peace.¡± He knows that he forgot the smell was d probably due to the fact that he stayed in the void for so long. According to his estimation there is little left in his imagination that can stir any emotions in him. The time he spent in the void was both a curse of him but also a blessing for him but that is only due to the fact that he was simply curious by nature. Knowing this is his second life, he somewhat missed the first one. Being an orphan on earth was a hard life for him. He grew without any emotions, as growing up he experienced many things and thus made few conclusions. One of which was - nothing is absolute. It means literally there is nothing absolute, if you saw sunrises from east then yes it now raises from east but what about future, what about past there is no absolutes in the world.Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. It is either not possible now or it was possible before or simply those who believe in absolutes lack the capability to break it. This was one of the many conclusions or to be precise his priceless principles that he made and believed in. It was also due to these principles that he was successful and became one of the most fearsome scientists on earth. His specialisation is in the STEM field. There was almost no regret left when he died in the solar storm, yes the thing which killed him was a solar storm and how did he know it ? Obviously due to the time spent in the void. During that period he nearly solved all the modern problems mankind was facing all in his mind thus identifying it as a solar storm. He grew up from the lowest level of the society and raised to the highest level. In his last few years of life he joined the mysterious organisation called Horizon. It consisted of all the people that specialised in some particular field. He was called by them due to his excellent research and the fact that he still was young, thus having immense potential. He was first at shock knowing about this organisation and how it functions. Horizon controls all the world order. It announces the start of any war, the end of the same war, release of potential breakthroughs to the public and many more things which he couldn''t believe. Horizon was literally controlling how the world advances. After joining it, he soon came to know about their power. They literally had a special satellite that monitors him 24x7 for his safety. Horizon also had many discoveries and inventions of all fields, may it be of history, economics or science, but the thing that shocked him was the fact that all this data was not being made publicly available. He came to know that men were sent to the moon even before America did it. The thing which scared him the most was the fact that no one knew anything related to Horizon. He came to know that only handfull presidents know about this organisation and that to on surface level. ¡°So I am a newborn. It''s not ideal, at least I would get parenting this time. Hhhn ?...am ¡.I floating ?¡± he thought while moving his head to see all the beings that were seeing him. Seeing the unfamiliar surroundings and the architecture he looked at every being one by one, noticing they were speaking in unknown languages and also using hand symbols sometimes. He even saw a few old men dressed in plain white clothes while stroking their long beards, closing their eyes and giving various facial expressions. He was overwhelmed but quickly adjusted his thinking and decided to listen to each and every syllable they spoke while also trying to decipher their facial expression. ¡°First observe them and try to understand what they are speaking¡± he decided and put complete focus on understanding the language they were speaking. After some time the large door opened with a few individuals entering the hall. Each one giving an unfathomable aura to Adam. As soon as they entered the whole hall became quiet. Adam could hear his own breathing. ¡°New heir to the Walker clan would be named Evan, Evan Walker the son of Atrick Walker.¡± said one of the leading figures. Then talking with another figure behind him, observing their expression and way of talking, Adam came to the conclusion that he was his father, as many were talking to him with smiles on their faces. From the time he opened his eyes to the group entering the hall Adam had cracked their language. This was only possible due to his terrifying comprehension and intellect. He had done many things in the void, one of which was learning new languages and creating new languages. While his thoughts wandered on the future, the same leading figure who named Adam was having a serious discussion with his peers, ¡°I just detected fluctuations of spiritual levels from the child. It should be normal right ?¡± asked the leading figure. ¡°Hm I too detected it, while it''s normal for giving off spiritual fluctuations for newborns but it is not normal to give them in a proper pattern as if thinking and solving something¡± said the man in blue robes. ¡°What do you mean ¡®not normal¡¯ ? It''s absolutely impossible for a newborn to give fluctuations of that pattern, only beings after first accession are capable of giving it. There are only a few cases this could happen, namely reincarnation, prenatal talent, and possession, out of which lets rule out reincarnation and possession.¡± pondered the leading figure. ¡°It could be prenatal talent but it''s still not believable, if it is prenatal talent then it''s one of a kind. We should probably tell our ancestors about this. What do you think? Morgan¡± . asked another man standing at the last with eyes fixed on Adam. ¡°First let''s wait and see if it''s really one of a kind talent then we would report it. Till then hide the fluctuations and tell about this condition to Atrick.¡± Morgan said. While all this was taking place the group was actually full of smiles drinking to their heart''s content. Adam now had completely grasped the language and was now able to understand it. From the voices he could hear we got some crucial information. He was named Evan and this was the Walker clan. The one who named him was called Lord Morgan and his father¡¯s name was Atrick. He didn''t see his mother, which he found interesting. ¡°This is my world and I would have it¡± he thought and his tiny finger curled inwards with sheer determination on his face. ¡°Lets see what it has to offer me¡± Chapter 3 - New world ¡°Hmm, now this is getting interesting.¡± thought Evan. He just saw that after the ceremony was over all the participants one by one visited his father and again congratulated him. Suddenly after talking with his father many figures vanished one by one as if they were not here before a second. He even saw the different types of their vanishing act. Some simply blurred, their forms melting into the air like smoke dispersing in the wind. Others stepped through shimmering portals of different shapes and sizes, the edges glowing with sparks of different colors. From some gates he could see the other side while others were opaque. The most enigmatic vanished silently, their presence fading as though they were never there. ¡°This is very, very interesting. Especially the ones who just faded out.¡± He then carefully starts observing how they were leaving. While it did not shock him as he due to time spent in void could make it possible. But there are some things which he could not make possible even with his knowledge like the ones who just faded out. Back to the group of leading figures, ¡°I just noticed another spike in the fluctuations he is emitting. This is not good. We have sealed fluctuations but I fear he could break it in some days.¡± said the man in blue robe. ¡°Hm¡.it''s a bit of a problem, we would have to use more powerful means to hide the fluctuations. Just now some members of the family sensed the fluctuations but couldn''t track it back to him due to the seal we placed.¡± Morgan said with frustration. He was grandfather of Evan and also a grand elder in the clan. ¡°For now let''s put him in isolation with only his parents. I would talk with Atrick about the situation. Let''s wait and see till he reaches 5 years of age.¡± ¡°I hope it''s a one of a kind prenatal talent, it has been a long time since any one in the clan had a one of a kind prenatal talent¡± said the blue robe man. ¡°Yes, it''s indeed a very long time. For we can only wait and see what futures hold for him.¡± told Morgan to the group. The group actually were family members of Evan with the blue robe man being the elder brother of Morgan. After the ceremony ended Evan had been taken to a new hall where he saw a woman sleeping peacefully on the luxurious bed. The bed was floating and not touching the ground. The woman was wearing what seemed to be a very soft white gown with her hairs left open. Her eyes were closed but she was having a small smile on her face. She was radiating a pure and innocent aura that would calm anyone. Literal visualization of peace. The air around her seemed to hum with serenity, her gentle smile like the first light of dawn. Her gown shimmered faintly, as though woven from moonlight itself. ¡®Hm¡.she should be my mother Lady Saphire, my mother. All remaining should be maids probably.¡¯ He pondered on the way to the bed beside his mother. As soon as he was put on the bed the sleeping lady opened her eyes and looked at Evan with tenderness and love. ¡°What is it ? Hn¡± she asked Atrick. ¡°Evan-Evan Walker,¡± said Atrick. She kissed Evan on the head and stood up from the bed picking him in her hands. She then brought Evan near the window and let the warm rays of the sun fall on the newly born. ¡°How was the phenomenon, I am sure it was unique and powerful, so which grade was it ?¡± she turned and asked Atrick with a hopeful gaze. ¡°Hmm¡about that ...there was no heavenly phenomenon at the time of birth, which is not impossible¡¡hhhhhhh¡... .but don''t worry, the heavenly phenomenon does not completely indicate the talent of the newborn. Remember elder father Devan too had little to no phenomenon when he was born but still he made such achievements. Alas if not for his stubborn personality he would have passed the bottleneck.¡± Atrick said with coming near saphire and looking into her eyes. ¡°I know but everyone knows the manifestations are Supreme Dao¡¯s way of celebrating the birth of new talent in the universe. At the time of Lord Devan there was manifestation but it was not on a grand scale. In our case you are saying there was no manifestation, how could I not worry?¡± she asked. Though Lady Saphire''s tenderness stirred something unfamiliar within him, Evan found it hard to reconcile her warmth with the cold rationality of his scientist''s mind. While they both were talking with each other and consolidating the misfortune of not having the heavenly manifestation. The little one was quietly listening to their voices and constantly analyzing the information. ¡®Oh heavenly manifestations are a way of celebrating the birth of talent. In my case there was none so I am a person with no unique thing. Just a plain newborn of the Walker clan. Hm.. but when did I care about these things. Nothing is absolute. I would change my own destiny. For now just gather as much information as possible and determine the next path¡¯ he thought as soon his eyes drifted into the darkness, sleeping in his mothers arm. His next few months just passed laying down on the bed gathering information about the clan and the world in which he was born. From the general talking of the maids and the conversation between his grandfather and his parents he came to know many things. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. The Walker clan being one of the most powerful entities in the world they live in. He also heard many different terms like Dao, different types of worlds, plane, realm and many more things which took a long time to decipher. Due to the order of his grandfather he was in isolation with only his parents and maid. After a month he was moved to another chamber with the many maids and many children of his age. The chamber had many babies of below one year of age, with many caretakers taking care of the new ones. Another interesting thing was that they were not breastfed a single time, to avoid boredom they were taken to different places, shown different types of things and made to do different activities. This entirely was false as when the first time they were taken outside he clearly heard the maid telling others to run the formation meaning they were in the same place it was just that they were put in an illusion. Most of the time all the babies spend their time sleeping and looking at the illusions and doing other simple things they were made to do. Evan wants to collect information but as it happens there was no way now. But he always remembers that nothing is absolute. This was a little problem for him, after a few days he formed many ways of getting information. One of which was reading the books which the chief maid had. The chief maid was a bit of a mature woman with some wrinkles but she looked beautiful. She used to read books when handling the babies. He also observed that each day she would check each baby and that was his opportunity. After a few initial days, when it was his time for check-up he held the hand of the chief maid tightly, when he was separated he started crying. Seeing his drama and crying the chief maid got scared. This was not good for her, it could even turn into her replacement. Looking at the watery eyes of Evan she decided to have him with her for some time. When it was time for the babies to play Evan still refuses to leave her. She eventually decides to let him stick with her. Evan was sensible, he knows what to do, now achieving his goal he started reading the book which the main read. These books were just common books about tales and legends. But these were the golden source of information for him. Then it became a daily routine of sticking with the chief maid after checking. As the days passed by Evan cleared all the confusion and doubts he had about the terms he heard from his grandfather and parents. For some reason he couldn''t listen to the maids talking to each other. During this time he saw many parents, even his, coming to the chamber and talking and caring for the kids for sometime. One such day he got to know the last piece of information that was important. ¡®So the name of the realm I am in is Walker realm, pretty straight forward. A realm is territory of a power. There are many realms in the universe. The Dao universe has numerous galaxies. Each galaxy contains numerous planetary systems and each system has a number of planets. So this is a different universe than my previous one. This one follows the Dao path. Maybe there are other universes too who knows.¡¯ he pondered and formed a simple map of the universe in his head. A universe at top with galaxy in middle and planetary systems at bottom. ¡®Talking about the power system, this universe has the Dao path. There is not much mentioned about this in the books. I guess I will soon find out about it anyway.¡¯ He thought while still being in the chief maids arms-she was reading the book while he was also secretly looking at the book. ¡®Another interesting thing is that we are neither eating nor excreting. Also not a single baby is feeling hungry.¡¯ He thought about this and came to the conclusion that it could be due to some sort of special environment. Weeks passed on and Evan had pretty much read all the books from the chief maid. He now had started getting bored. There was nothing to do now, it was roughly 5 months he was here and from last 3-4 months he was not reading books instead he was listening to the chief maid and other maids. They too sometimes give valuable information to him. During this period of time he saw many extraordinary babies. Some of which could even fly. One has a different color of eyes, as soon as he saw these babies he knew they were not normal like him. These special babies were given extra care and were kept separated from the normal ones. ¡®So I am a normal child with nothing special about me, hehehee that¡¯s what others see. My biggest gain is the amount of time I spend in the void and my intellect.¡¯ he thought while looking at other normal babies and then again towards special ones with a determined gaze. He also came to know the names of babies not all about but of the remarkable ones around him. He quickly remembered the names of special ones with their powers and their faces. There was one child that had nothing special, he was a simple child. No colorful eyes, hairs or showed any superpower. Evan often wondered why he was placed with special ones. One such time while he was observing other babies he saw the unremarkable baby was being picked up by a maid to move out. The child seemed to have mistakenly thought there was danger to him, thus Evan observed something mind blowing. The baby showed a grunted expression while making noise and the second maid¡¯s hand came close to picking up the baby. No one knew what happened even the chief maid. Just as the maid¡¯s hand came close to the baby the baby just turned around and evaded it. The maid reached out to pick the baby but the same thing happened. No matter how many times she tries to pick him up the baby would turn and even do what seemed to be crawling to evade the hand. Evan was shocked after seeing it, he quickly analyzed what he saw and instantly came to the conclusion that the baby was using freaking time powers. Yes the little chap was slowing down time around him and evading the hand which was trying to pick him up. The maid too was shocked, she quickly told the chief maid and then after the chief maid came she picked the child up and moved outside. Evan doesn''t know how she picked the child up. He also saw that some babies which were older were picked and moved somewhere else. From the chief maids conversation he came to know that newborns older than 1 year are moved outside. He still has 7 months remaining. What he would do in these 7 months he doesn''t know. He planned several things but it would depend on what happens after he concludes the plan he is working on. What he didn''t know was that his every activity was monitored by both his father and grandfather. In a different area within the realm, two towering figures were sitting face to face placing chess. Morgan¡¯s tone was grim. ¡°Ancestor If the seal breaks prematurely, there¡¯s no telling who might notice. We can¡¯t risk exposure¡ªnot yet.¡± Chapter 4 - Order and Structure In the open cosmos two towering figures were playing chess. One had his eyes closed, a serene aura emanating from his form, while the other stared intently at the board, his expression one of frustration. Morgan, knowing he was doomed to lose, decided to distract the Ancestor with updates on clan matters¡ªa routine part of their games. After listening to all the report the man in plain white clothes with no beard but long hairs stretching to his toes, sighed. ¡°You have lost again, this is getting boring now, you are losing more quickly. Morgan, what is happening to you ? At first you were very close to defeating me but now you are getting away from the goal.¡± ¡°Umm¡Ancestor Dugu, it''s not that I am getting away from my goal, it''s just that you are getting stronger and I can¡¯t keep up with you while also being part of the clan council.¡± said Morgan with a somewhat frustrated face. ¡°Forget it. Struggles like this are part of cultivation. If you can¡¯t handle such minor tribulations, the 3rd ascension will remain a dream.¡± Dugu said, still with eyes closed. ¡°Yes, yes, the most important matter we should discuss is of the newborn child Evan. From what we have observed he emits fluctuations nearly all the time now. There is not a regular pattern about the intensity but we detect highs usually when he is reading books when the chief maid does.¡± replied Morgan while still not daring to look at ancestor. ¡°Ohh so he is now reading books, probably trying to understand the books. It''s now getting more and more interesting. I hope it''s a prenatal talent related to comprehension. Thought it could be one of a kind but chances are still low. Last time umm.. Hm if I remember correctly, ancestor Redock had prenatal talent that was one of a kind - never seen before. Hmmm old times.¡± ancestor Dugu sighed remembering when he was just an elder he saw ancestor Redrock for the first time. Still remembering the oppression aura from him. ¡°Also from 5-10 there are no more high fluctuations in front of the child. He also stopped reading the books. Though it''s impossible to do it, I think he has understood all the things in the books and hence there is nothing to learn.¡± said Morgan with a low voice. ¡°Ohh is it really one of a kind ? Let''s leave the question for the future. You are right he did understand all the content in the books. Also If you can''t do it it doesn''t mean no one can remember Morgan, alas you are getting senile.¡± ancestor Dugu now opened his eyes looking at Morgan. As soon as his eyes opened there was an oppressing aura that made it difficult for Morgan to face the ancestor. ¡°Yes ¡ sorry ancestor I have not lived up to your expectations, I would be in seclusion starting this year till I last more than I do in chess.¡± Morgan replied with determined expression. He had a fierce glow in his eyes. ¡°Ok, just don''t push yourself much, I think you should probably retire from the council and focus fully on cultivation. About that, wait till he completes 1 year of probation, it''s important for fully nurturing the soul and body. Give the chief maid new books which are given for 5th years, I think it should last long enough for him.¡± again after saying ancestor Dugu returned to the state of stillness and closed his eyes. Again looking like a normal mortal human. Knowing it was the time for his leave, Morgan left quietly by walking, not daring to use any other means to leave, fearing disturbing the state of ancestors. Morgan decided to give the chief maid the books and told her to allow Evan to read the books. He also told Evan''s parents, with them being perfectly happy and normal about him. Back to the chamber, Evan was living a boring life, now he knows all the names of the babies and also of the maids. With no new information to process and analyze he was now getting bored though this was nothing compared to what he faced in the void. Suddenly today he saw that the chief maid had new books which were even thicker. He was so happy about it that he let out a cry as soon as he saw the books in the maids hand. ¡°So, the boy truly craves knowledge, I only hope this doesn¡¯t come at the cost of his emotional growth.¡± said Morgan while quietly standing beside Evan. Evan had no clue that his grandfather was beside him. Though even if new there was nothing he would do. He was now 6 months old, nearing the 1 year mark. He again repeated the earlier routine of reading the books till he finished them in just 15 days. It was only possible due the fact that the maids allowed him to read books which they earlier did not. He was very suspicious about this and after observing and reviewing all the information he had he knew that someone knows that he is learning from books and is allowing him to learn.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. He did not like wasting time, so as soon as he finished consuming all the content, he let out a cry and the next day, as expected the maid had different books though less thick. He doesn''t care about the thickness, he always believes that quality is better than quantity. This time it took nearly a month and half to understand all the books. He was now 7 months old. He also saw that usually human babies could not stand and walk when they were around 7 months old but he could. He also concluded the reason being the chamber they were grown in. Till now he had seen his parents not more than a dozen times. But each time they come, it is the most beautiful time of his life. He yearned for parental care and was very grateful to them. Again he let out a cry and the maid bought new books and this time it was only 1 book but it was way thicker than any previous one. He observed the books handed to him, their thickness no longer a challenge. Instead, he yearned for the aura of mystery they carried. This time he took 2 months which did not surprise him. Though he knows that he could probably have it finished in a day, due to the strict schedule by the maids and the body''s necessity to sleep half a day he gets a little time to read anything with the maids. ¡®Finally all done, I am about 9 months old. Lets now stop rushing to get more knowledge, I need to be in the best shape possible before moving out of the chamber in 3 months.¡¯ pondered Evan. He decided to organize the whole information in the proper way. It took him 5 days to do so while managing the daily tasks. ¡®There are 9 pavilions, 7 sects, 5 palaces, 3 Empires, and finally my clan. The individual strength of a pavilion is less than the individual strength of a sect, the gap is filled with numbers. Though a pavilion is weaker than a sect, it''s not by a large amount.¡¯ reminded Evan. ¡®The cultivation system is also very fascinating, a total of 9 major stages with each stage further divided into 9 minor stages, a total of 9 major stages or 81 minor stages. Cultivators also need to achieve 3 ascensions, first one after having done the first 3 major stages, next one after completing 6 major stages, and the final one after completing all the 9 stages.¡¯ sighed Evan. It was a long way till the top but he believes in himself and he trusts his beliefs. He also got to know about the clan structure, and about the elder council. There were 81 members in the elder council with 9 supreme elders having 9 votes each, next 27 grand elders with 3 votes each and the remaining 45 elders with 1 votes each. His grandfather was a supreme elder from a long time and his father was a grand elder. ¡®Though I know about the elder council, I don''t know anything about ancestors, and how they are categorized. Let¡¯s not push things for now and focus on getting in the best shape possible before the awakening.¡¯ again with a determined and powerful gaze he looked at his hands with fingers curled. ¡®My goal for now is to be in the best possible state before the checking as they literally decide my future in the clan. Though my grandfather is the supreme elder, there is no nepotism here. All the rewards are based on contribution and hard work, so I must not slack off and defy my fate of being talentless.¡¯ said Evan with a grim tone. Unknowingly while he was thinking about this, there was a secret meeting taking place between the ancestors due to the huge spikes in fluctuations he was emitting. He for the next 3 months, only focused on physical well being. He did all the optimization to his schedule for gain with no losses. Doing all the hard work he himself felt his weight increasing. He also felt energetic, but he was not shocked it was basic biology. It was mentioned in the books that after 1 year they would be thoroughly checked via a series of tests and finally would be checked by an ancestor. He was nearly 1 years old, this was his last day at the chamber. He also saw new kids with different talents, but the most impressive one was still the time related one. ¡®So from what I can see, I would probably fail in all tests except the ones related to intellect and comprehension. I do not have any talents in the form of bloodline, physique, eyes, heart, any other special organ, meridians, etc. Talents express themself in the form of different body structures. These are all postnatal talents, prenatal ones are decided during the gestation period of a woman, they are more potent and rare. I also think I don''t have any prenatal talent. In Fact there is nothing special about me except the fact that I stayed in void for nearly eternity.¡¯ ¡®This is also the reason why I had no heavenly manifestations when I was born. Still nothing is absolute, I will overcome all the challenges and be an eternal being.¡¯ thought Evan while looking at the special child who had expressed talents even before the mark of 1 year. Evan was patiently waiting for the maid to come take him at the awakening tower. He did not need to wait for a long time as just after a few hours of being awake, the chief maid arrived, gathering three children, including Evan, for their journey to the Awakening Tower. ¡®This is going to be the first time I am going outside, I have to see everything, hear everything, and smell if possible. The more data I collect the more beneficial it is to me.¡¯ thought while floating beside his fellow brother and sister. As soon as they left the door, Evan saw a completely different world, he was overwhelmed by the data he gathered in just a few seconds after leaving. ¡®Dao universe¡¡ here I come¡¯ thought Evan, still floating but looking intensely with curiosity at all the details of the surroundings.
