《Resurgence of the Witch Coven》 Chapter 1 On a usual day, a young woman with silver hair was walking down the busy street. There was a large screen besides her, one for advertisement. No one really paid attention to it, when suddenly a young man around twenty was projected. People turned their heads; beauty always attracted the appreciation and awe of others. In truth, the woman behind them might look better, but after all, her greying silver hair made one think she was an old lady, the contrast to her lush hair was great. There were very few such huge advertisement, a different culture with a different taste one might say, but after so many years of globalisation, basically everyone had a bit of what others had. So, at first, everyone would look at the screen whenever they passed. Only with time did they realise the advertisement was no different from any other. The man on the screen had blonde hair and blue eyes, a typical beauty in this day and age. He looked like a true sunshine; white trousers and a white beach-shirt made him give off a very soft energy with a touch of joyfulness. He looked down at the people, ¡®They must have paid him extremely well to perform extra for this kind of screen¡¯ the silver haired woman thought, but she didn¡¯t look away. After all, she also appreciated beauty, although this wasn¡¯t her taste, no one would reject eye candy. Without any words, the man looked kindly at the crowd. A smile escaped his lips, and a perfume of the side came forward, landing in front of him, not blocking his face at all. A small bird was depicted on a spherical crystal perfume bottle, the inside seemed windy and alive. ¡®They are getting better and better at marketing luxurious goods, but why the effort to rent this advertisement screen? None of us here will be able to afford it anyways¡¡¯ just as she said this, someone commented on this too ¡°I heard he is going to be a candidate to join the parliament.¡±. The person they talked to nodded and said ¡°Yes, I heard the same. Look at him, he¡¯s so beautiful and obviously earns a lot with his job, yet now he also wants to become a government official. His looks alone will outshine all those old people! But will he really be voted? After all, if it was only about looks, other models would¡¯ve been voted long ago.¡± Their friend replied ¡°You don¡¯t know¡ actually, there are rumours that he¡¯s from an influential and rich family down south. They are always like this, trying their best to manipulate the politics into their favour. This is their new way of doing so, since all the previous things didn¡¯t work out. Though that isn¡¯t enough to make the government give up the taxes they get from such big families that own many shares, my guess is that he will become a citizen darling and then only implement small changes. Anyways, these families exist for so long and even kept their wealth through large wars, with time, every small change will become a huge profit.¡±If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Others nodded but no one refuted it, after all, getting small benefits was indeed a common practice, and those companies also knew how to gain public favour, such as opening new job positions or donating, temporally losing out will make them gain long time benefit. It¡¯s not that people don¡¯t know this; they even talk about it. The age of information has been going on for quite some time and the common populace knows everything. If it wasn¡¯t for this, why would they need to be satisfied? And deep down, the common people also had the arrogance they inherited from many events in the past. So, what if they gain a little benefit every few years? The common people can take it all back as long as they are angered. This has happened in the past! No matter how interesting it was, soon, everyone left and went on their way. In total, they barely stood there and watched for a minute. The silver haired woman didn¡¯t care about it ¨C today was an important day. She had been studying for many years for this, and then she had to work in a hospital to realise her dream, but finally, she would today get her certificate that she could practice as a therapist. Although the way was winding and confusing, finally she could work for herself. Today she only had to get the final certificate from the hospital, all her applications and everything else was ready, this was the last piece in the puzzle. After finalising this, there was nothing going to stop her ¨C *Boom* An explosion suddenly sounded in the far, she looked there and saw a car suddenly crashing into another, this was confusing, after all, the cars barely moved a few metres every minute on this street, how could they suddenly crash? Then she looked at the owner of the car and saw that he didn¡¯t seem to fully be awake, but even the crash didn¡¯t cause him to wake up. At this moment, she looked around and saw people around her falling down, then more cars crashed. Even though this happened everywhere around her, no one seemed to scream, she saw some hideous injuries that suddenly came to be because of the situation. Fear willed up in her heart, but as she tried to calm down, she wasn¡¯t sure of her own situation. Looking at where she stood, she felt that it was dangerous to be here ¨C to the left there was a road that was somewhat empty, but she knew that sometimes people would rush through this, not knowing whether there was a car in the far that was still pushing the gas, she quickly tried to move away. Scared and shocked she wasn¡¯t aware of what she was doing at all, it seemed as if her years of training to ¡®deactivate¡¯ her emotions caused her to be able to have great rationality in this situation while supressing her emotions. At this moment, she realised a horrific fact. In the distance, water bubbled up from the ground. This was a fact that not many knew, she only knew it because it was a fun fact someone once told her in high school ¨C this city, the capital of the country she lived in, was built upon a swamp. Over hundreds of years had passed, but the ground never changed beyond the fact that it was liveable now. Yet even so, when there were construction sites, there would be people pumping out the swamp and water from below the cold stone ground. Even her rationality didn¡¯t know how to react here ¨C how was she supposed to leave this metropolis that would take her over an hour even with a car just by feet! She had just heard the sudden sound of cracking below her, when her conscious faded too like the others¡ ¡®No wait ¨C let me escape, wait-¡® Chapter 2 The silver haired woman woke up again, this time she was in a building. But her body was ethereal and not real at all, she was confused and didn''t understand, but in front of her, she was her exact same image. Unlike her, the image was realer, but also older¡ and pregnant! The same woman was actually pregnant, but looking around the apartment, it was the one she had just looked at the other day, but it was fully decorated with the things she imagined before. There was even the large room which she dedicated for her profession. There, she would have her patients sit down, drink tea and talk with her in a calm atmosphere. Looking at all this, she realised ¨C this was her dream from a week ago. She never married and after some experience, she actually disdained from relationships and dedicated herself to her career, but even though this was the case, she always wanted to have children and even thought of becoming a mother through scientific means, and this dream was a manifestation of her wishes as she came closer and closer to success. When she realised this was a dream, the dream seemed to lose its magic and it slowly fell down like sand, and then, she saw actual sand. All around her, it seemed that reality turned into sand and she saw an island forming from all the sand around her. The water below seemed ethereal; she had just approached the end of he island when she saw some small fish swimming in it. Unsure of the dangers, she didn''t want to go in there. She was just about to return to the centre of the island to contemplate what had just happened, when she saw a shining purple light in the distance. This was her favourite colour, many times she even wore eye lenses of this colour when she was out, the same was the case for her hair. Silver was a very rare natural colour and although she''d wish it was hers, it wasn''t. It is also for this reason that her hair greyed, the colour was actually fading, and it would soon turn back into her natural one. Looking at the purple light, there was some yearning deep down in her soul. Her island seemed to react and transformed from a still one into a moving one. The sand seemed to move all around. Seeing this, she was surprised this was possible but thinking that she was able to influence it anyways, she thought of something else. The ground below her rumbled a few times, until it settled into a new shape. Instead of the previous island, it was now in the shape of a ferry. She had seen this kind of ferry in movies and read about them in books ¨C a nether ferry that guides the souls in the afterlife. If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Although she wasn''t sure in what state she was, she felt that her situation shouldn''t be far from the soul, even though she didn''t think she was dead yet. Anyways, on this island, her rationality seemed to be on peak, but her desire to approach the purple light seemed to be even larger. ''It seems that even though I trained myself not to be too emotional, this only caused the few emotions I show in the end to be even stronger. I am not sure whether this is good or bad, but at least it allows me to keep my rationality majorly.'' The distance between her and the purple light was unclear, when she looked at it, it still looked like it was in the far distance, but when she didn''t give it any thought as her mind drifted to her current situation, it seemed to be incredibly close. Finally, still in her thought, she suddenly had an instinct to reach out her hand. She did and she felt and a necklace landed in her hands. The necklace was incredibly beautiful in the shape of a violet teardrop, encased in many smaller crystals of a brighter purple colour, gold filling the gaps between each small crystal. She looked around and saw other islands seemingly approach her. Unknowingly, her anti-social behaviour kicked in and instantly tried to distance herself from them. Although this was another thing she had managed long ago, on this island-ferry, it seems as if her strongest strengths and weakest weaknesses came to be. The other island owners didn''t seem to have figure out the way to transform their islands into other objects, but the sand there moved, so she quickly moved her hand and hid the purple necklace inside as she urged the ferry to move far away. Time passed and it wasn''t much later before she seemed far away, she looked around and saw that other islands around were still and some had lights all around. Looking at this, she thought of her own situation when she just entered this dreamy world. To hide her existence from any possible pursuer, she decided to make her ferry turn back into an island. The sand below then rushed up and the building from before came to be again, only this time, it seemed a bit realer, but there was no pregnant her. Satisfiedly, she was about to take out the necklace, but her sudden movement of moving the necklace caused the necklace to cut her. Weirdly, there wasn''t any blood flowing out, thinking that it was nothing, she was about to inspect the necklace, when suddenly- her body seemed to be sucked into the necklace! It was also at this moment that the tranquil sand island below seemed to break. Islands all around had the same phenomenon, so when the island broke down but was actually pulled into the necklace instead of falling into the endless sea, no one saw this. Only a few islands further away that were chasing the woman just before came along the way and looked at the scene in shock, still, some came forward and looked at the places where people died. A few saw some things laying around, others saw nothing and decided to leave the place ¨C after all, such a phenomenon wouldn''t only happen here! Chapter 3 On the other side, once the woman entered the necklace, she looked around for only a single second in her dizzy state, before suddenly, all hell broke lose as sand rushed into the necklace. She didn''t know what happened outside, but the sudden movement caused damage inside of her, she didn''t even have time to do anything before she fell down. ¡ An unknown amount of time passed. But when the woman woke up again, her body looked much younger, only a girl remaining. Yet every second, her body seemed to age endlessly up to old age, only for it to then decompose and rebuild into the young form of a girl. This form seemed to be the most stable, but even so, it would only be like this for a few seconds longer than the other forms. She looked at herself and understood what happened. During this whole time in the necklace, it had corrupted her to a point. Although she didn''t know how long it took, one thing was for sure ¨C her soul, yes it is her soul that exists in the necklace and even before, was changed to be more compatible with the powers contained in the necklace. Only superficial knowledge was contained in the introduction she received through the corruption, but she knew that this necklace was called the ''Necklace of Inheritance'' ¨C it is an inheritance thrown into the depths of the spiritual world, where she had just left. The spiritual world connects the sea of consciousness of every being in numerous worlds, it is ever expanding and always reaches out to worlds when enough sentient beings are on these worlds. From then on, it will connect fully, corrupt the world and give rewards to the natives. There is one reason for this ¨C being composed of the sea of consciousness, any newly added world with sentient beings would expand the spiritual world in many ways. How much the worlds benefit depends on their quantity of sentient beings, not so much the quality. The Necklace is an inheritance among many that were thrown by various organisations or even single people with the attempt of having it become a reward for new worlds. Once the inheritance is chosen by the spiritual world as a reward, the people will gradually become stronger and finally establish contact with the forces behind the inheritance. How exactly they will interact from that point on is often different, but one thing is for sure, at least native resources of the worlds will often be trades for foreign resources. There is no need for worry that native resources are of a lower level. After all, the corruption of the spiritual world is deep. To ensure it connects all the seas of consciousness, it will spread the spirituality of the spiritual world all over the world. The people will fall unconscious as they receive this, while the world itself establishes its own connection to the spiritual world, the spiritual world and the native world will be in a state of trade.Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. In exchange for the sentient beings, the world will gain spirituality, spiritual power will spread all around and into the depths of the world core to corrupt it too ¨C until the world is able to produce its own spiritual power. The ones that suffer truly in this exchange are the sentient beings ¨C they die en masse, but naturally neither the spiritual world nor the native world care about this, the first even accepting a rapid growth through absorbing the fallen consciousnesses. Of course both of these aren''t sentient themselves, they only operate under the laws that have established themselves over time. As for this specific inheritance, it is from one of the major organisations all around the spiritual world: the Coven of Witches! There are many major organisations and all of them would throw inheritances into the depths of the spiritual world. The spiritual world would commonly choose several of them to be the core inheritances for each new world. It is unknown whether the coven is lucky or not ¨C after all, their inheritor died just after receiving the inheritance. Usually, this would be fine. The inheritance would only choose a different person to inherit it, while the first person would become fuel for the artifact. Unfortunately for the coven or fortunately for the inheritor, this necklace belongs to a special faction among the coven. There are several factions among the coven, separated by the type of witch they are. Some other major organisations have different ways of separating, but the witches are very united in this case. They are sorted by the type of witch they are. So to say, even if the worlds are extremely far apart, they still belong to the same faction and will be treated as a member. The first inheritor and their faction would be the ruling faction of the world from then on, and all the following factions would become subordinate in that world. There is no other way ¨C after all, becoming a witch is dependent on affinity, so even if the major faction is many steps ahead, they can''t become the only faction, that would make the local coven weak, which is not something the higher coven wishes to happen. As for the faction behind the necklace ¨C it is one of the oldest, mightiest, but also rarest factions of the coven. The successful ones all took important positions in the higher ranks, their few numbers make them much more generous to other factions and they have become the impartial judges among many witches. It belongs to the faction of the Aeon Witches! They are the witches with a high affinity for time. This affinity is extremely rare but very long lasting. Not to mention the body, influencing it has always been difficult for the witches that are more inept with the soul. But the soul in comparison is nearly immortal. Naturally all souls are immortal, but they all shed themselves of their mortal coil and enter the river of reincarnation once their lifespan run out. Those with the time affinity have a higher lifespan normally and are expected to live long, their souls not severing the connection to their body even after the body has become extremely weak. Chapter 4 The inheritance of the Aeon witches is very special ¨C the necklace itself is an artifact that ensures the stability of the soul as long as the soul is inside the artifact, no matter how much time passes outside. Because of this, the inheritor has often an extra escape plan even if they aren''t secure in the mortal world. And this is exactly what happened. The female inheritor has spend ten thousand years in the necklace! This was at least her guess. Because of the inheritance and the introduction, she also gained some special teachings the whole time she was unconscious. Along with this, her soul was also corrupted and her affinity for time was pushed to the highest limit. She was able to feel the age of her soul, if there were others, maybe she''d also be able to feel their age too. Her soul was so old that even with her high affinity, she was only able to vaguely guess the benchmark that has been crossed, which is ten thousand years. The inheritance also included other things: - Basic knowledge regarding witchcraft and the factions - An inheritance of all the other factions up to the middle stage of strength - The core inheritance of all witches, which are Rituals, Alchemy and Pharmacy knowledge - Lastly, it is the core inheritance of the Aeon Witches, which includes variation on the inheritance of all witches as well as special spells and the way of mastering Witchcraft. Firstly, there are nine ranks of strength in all worlds connected with the spiritual world. There is no difference between the worlds in this regard. The only difference is between the people that crossed these levels and reached a higher stage. The first to third level are the lower levels, fourth to six are the middle levels and seventh to ninth are the upper levels. In witchcraft, the stages naturally have different names. The three first stages are Awakened Apprentice, someone who has awakened their talent and is able to learn witchcraft. Apprentice Witch, a witch that has just embarked on the path of Witchcraft. Initiate Witch, an apprentice that has learned the basics of witchcraft and can be called to have stepped on the path truly. From then on come the middle stages, which start wit the Bound Witch, which went beyond the basic knowledge and aligned herself with an affinity and a faction, binding herself to that faction. It is the first step into the middle stages and is one of the most important. Following is the Adept witch, one that had learned the deeper witchcraft and can be called a true witch. The final step of the middle stage is the Arcane Witch that mastered her own spells as well as spells beyond her faction to a deeper level. The three higher stages include the Elder Witch, on that has learned and experienced the depths of witchcraft and is able to take apprentices on a larger scale, often having managing positions in the local covens. Then there is the High Witch, a skilled witch that has been part of the coven for a long time and become a force to be reckoned with.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Finally, there is the Matriarch Witch, a leader of any local coven, a singular extremely strong force. There may only be one among each local coven, once a second one reaches this stage and the previous witch isn''t at the end of her lifespan or attempts to reach higher stages, the new matriarch will have to leave the local witch and open a second branch. From this one can also see that only females can become witches. It''s not that witches are hateful of men; it is based on the principles of witchcraft. It is the soul, It is the soul, to begin with witchcraft, you need an extremely strong soul. Naturally this is only the requirement for men, meaning that they can still become witches if they wish to force it, it is only that they have it much harder. For females, it is much easier to become a witch. The reproductive organ connects their physical body to the river of reincarnation. This alone enables them to have a strong connection to the soul world and gradually enhances their soul as they grow until they reach adulthood, while the male body has a stronger connection to the physical world and have thereby a stronger physical body. Secondly, the three inheritances of the witches, which are rituals, alchemy and pharmacy, are very important to any witch, and every witch will choose at least one to master. Rituals are the easiest to master, since any witch will have to practice them regardless of whether they wish to actively use rituals later on. After all, you need to make rituals when you advance in your witchcraft. As for alchemy and pharmacy, they can be said to be closer, so when you master one of them, it is easier to master the other. In essence, every witch will know a little about every three and then master one, which is very different from wizards, most of which don''t even learn a single one! The essence of rituals also have a strong connection to the other two, since alchemy works with many metals while pharmacy with many plants, materials for rituals so to say. Rituals have many uses and there is basically a ritual to achieve anything you want, so you can''t reduce it to singular simple uses. Alchemy practices the art of transversion of properties to produce something better. They work with metals rather than other items, not because other items don''t have their own properties, but because metals are more stable and in essence dead, unlike plants who are still living and constantly change. Even minimal changes can ruin the calculations of an alchemist, and if you kill the plant, then most of their desirable properties will quickly dissipate. Pharmacy can be called the simplest and most direct school of witchcraft. It only extracts the desirable properties of any plant and transforms it into a consumable good. The peak of pharmacy in this regard is to combine different properties to strengthen an individual property you want. There are two issues that make the simple pharmacy extremely difficult: you need to also learn botanic, because without fresh ingredients, you can''t practice pharmacy. Additionally, if you go beyond the simple potions anyone might be able to use, or even the more specific potions for a special group of people, you will quickly see problems. Different people have different reactions to plants, some react better, others react worse. Because of this, pharmacists need to have extremely extensive theoretical knowledge, even more than ritualists, not because it is knowledge that is difficult to understand, but because the quantity of it is so enormous, that whenever you have a customer as a pharmacist, you will very likely need a long time to help them. Not to mention helping them, since you always need fresh ingredients, if you aren''t extremely lucky and happen to have these items, then you have to go on long journeys to search for them and change their property on the spot. Chapter 5 If one didn''t know better, one might say that a computer would be able to fully solve the issue of information. But a computer would be extremely inefficient in this regard ¨C it doesn''t have the many sensors any witch has naturally. It would be a huge cost to build a computer that could have them all, but the cost could also advance a witch to the next level, meaning she would have once again stronger sensors. In the end, the best thing witches thought of were items that store a lot of knowledge and make it easier to browse through the knowledge, any single witch will then have to use her own judgement to decide what to do with the knowledge. "Fortunately, this necklace also has an encyclopaedia, and additionally to that, it even has strong sensors to scan the properties of different plants without harming them, which is helpful on a new planet. It seems that time witches are the strongest in pharmacy, followed by rituals and then alchemy. But this is also understandable, after all, time witches have spells and rituals to enhance the passage of time for plants, making botanic a lot easier, while their extensive lifespan and age enables them to read a lot and have a great amount of theoretical knowledge, if you combine this with the possibility of practicing for a long time, time witches might truly be the second best pharmacists. As for the best¡ naturally it is the nature witches. But after all, time witches aren''t ones that are strong in any single category, except their long time, they don''t excel in anything. But the longer a time which lives, the stronger she gets. So what if she''s not the best at alchemy? Give her a thousand years and she''ll be better than anyone else that still lives. As for the better ones? Well, they died already. It could be said that time witches are the epitome of elderly, no matter how much a younger person tries, it is extremely difficult for them to surpass their elders, and if they truly work hard, they will likely pass away before. I don''t know what to say, I never thought that this would be my future, I want to say that I am very young and can''t be called an elder¡ but since my soul age is ten thousand years old, I don''t even know if there is any human alive that is older than me. The only thing I can imagine is that there are some mutated monsters or foreign races that are older than me." As the woman browsed the knowledge in her head, she sighed. Finally, she looked at the way of harnessing spiritual power as a witch. This can be said to be extremely difficult, much more so than wizards. Instead of magic circles, witches place seals upon their souls to advance. The seals are rituals they practiced very hard and made the one time rituals a permanent mark of their soul.If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. It can be said that the ancestors of witches worked hard to remove a big disadvantage of seals and even created a huge advantage. The disadvantage was that in the past, in exchange of placing a seal, the witch would be restricted in spells that have anything in relation to the ritual. What a joke, rituals are extensive and some even use many different affinities, the witches that sealed these rituals would suffer the greatest. This was fortunately removed, but to make this happen, rituals in general have become more specific and huge rituals that extend to many facets can''t be sealed, it can be said to be an upper limit, but specific rituals are many times better, these extensive rituals can still be practiced, you just can''t seal them into your soul. As for the advantage, it is that unlike wizards who need to create the magical circle to have the power of that stage, witches will get power beyond the number of seals. The reason for this is that without the help of power, witches would never be able to create strong seals, nor gather the materials for the rituals. So, for example, any mortal with the inheritance of witches and the ability to absorb spiritual power into her soul is able to step into the first level of awakened apprentice ¨C without creating a seal. The seal would be created at the peak of the first stage, and then the awakened apprentice would become an apprentice witch. Because of this, witches will be weaker in the first few stages. After all, in comparison to the apprentice witch, the second circle wizard has more spells and two circles, while the witch only has one seal. But later on, when there are many people of lesser strength and fewer of higher strength, witches will naturally be superior. After all, a six-seal witch will have the power of the seventh stage, but seventh stage wizards are extremely rare outside. The seventh seal of witches is also extremely difficult to form, naturally they are rarer. And the biggest advantage is the ninth seal ¨C after that seal, naturally they can''t form more, but after forming this seal, they will be stronger than any ninth circle wizard. At first the newly advanced witch will be comparable, but as they grow stronger and solidify their strength, only those that were superior to others in their level can be compared to these witches. Finally, when these witches advanced fully and strengthened themselves, it is much easier for them to advance to the illusory higher stage. Witches can be said to be snowballs that become stronger with each step they take. "The requirements to advance and create the seals are three: first, you need to have enough affinity power of your element. Most witches have reached this already for the first three seals without needing to do something to enhance it¡ not to mention me. The time affinity advances with each mortal life I passed. With my ten thousand years, I have already lived through a hundred mortal lifetimes, my affinity is already at the highest and I won''t need to worry about this point no matter which stage it is¡ there isn''t any possibility to enhance my affinity anymore, so all the spells of the time affinity that require one to have lived a certain amount of time will be the strongest in my hands." Chapter 6 She then thought deeper, and the second requirement became clear ¡°The second is knowledge, one needs extensive knowledge regardless of which faction one is part of to create the ritual for each seal. The ritual needs to be done by your own hand, including the inscriptions and everything else. This step is also easy for me, since I have this inheritance at hand, I only need to study them intensively and will be able to do the ritual. Lastly, it is spiritual power that will be the most time consuming for me. I need to let my soul absorb spiritual power. Only once it reaches a satisfactory level can I gather the spiritual power around to fully advance. I don¡¯t know whether to say I am lucky or whether this is a gift intended by the Aeon Witches¡ but the inheritance necklace gathered spiritual power throughout the many ages. It didn¡¯t have the function in the beginning as far as I can see, but the long exposure to it while actively hosting a soul that doesn¡¯t absorb anything made it mutate it seems. Now it gathered enough spiritual power for me to create the third seal. Only because of my long stay in here did the spiritual power become extremely attuned to me, else it would be impossible for it to actively help me. As for the fourth seal, if I don¡¯t want to wait a few more decades, I won¡¯t be able to use its help. It only advanced a hundred years ago at most as far as I can see, so it probably was influenced as much as I was after reaching the ten thousand years mark. But how can I wait a few more decades to advance after spending so many years here¡ even if I was unconscious for the most time and only gained knowledge through the corruption, my soul still feels fuzzy at the thought of waiting any single second longer. An impatient time witch¡ well, my soul will calm down after living in the outside world for a few years¡ after all, the ratio of twenty six to ten thousand still changed me a lot, even if I won¡¯t be able to go back into seclusion for ten thousand years after staying outside for only twenty six, after a few years, my mind will definitely calm down and the decades up to that point won¡¯t be difficult to wait through, so there is no need to be too impatient. Also, advancing several stages without any practical knowledge is dangerous. The inheritance clearly states that even descendants of important witches will at most stay behind for the first three stages. No matter how theoretical witchcraft is, most witches still prefer to practice outside. It can be said that they are half theoretical and half practical, not adventurers that travel around all the time, but not those that seclude themselves for many years.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. No, they like the lifestyle of having a residence and operating from that residence the whole time, whether it is to open up a apothecary or something similar. For me now, the importance is deciding on the rituals I want, after all, I can only have nine and all of them are extremely important¡ The basic practice is to gain three foundational rituals in the early stages that enhance the harnessing of spiritual power, affinity power and one that strengthens the school we master. The middle stages will ask one to gain three seals with deep affinity towards the one they bind towards in the fourth stage of bound witch. Lastly, the three higher often choose extremely specific rituals. But the last point is because these rituals have high requirements, while there is also a saying that the more affinity seals I have, the more I will be attuned to those spells. Even if my affinity is high, it is spread like an ocean and I am good at all kinds of time spells, but not very good¡¡± Thinking of this, the woman soon had her answer already, three rituals, two of which are said to be higher ones, while the last one is actually a ritual of the middle stage of a different faction. The reason she can use it is because as impartial judges, the Aeon Witches have deep relations to all the other factions. Often times, they would help other factions and gain deep knowledge from other factions under the promise that the rituals they gain are never to be used against them. Naturally the time witches agreed and used that knowledge as foundation to enhance the inheritance of time witches. The two extremely high rituals are of the same origin. The first the new witch wanted to attempt was one very important: the Ritual of the Eternal Name! The pre version is the ¡®Ritual of the True Name¡¯, but the time witches changed ¡®true¡¯ to ¡®eternal¡¯. People can have the same true name, but there are only a few names that persist throughout eternity. The true name is one that has a lot of emphasis on what you will be like, how your abilities will become, it becomes a major characteristic of yourself. One could say the same about the eternal name, only that the eternal name goes even deeper into the matter and the name becomes more important, and it will also make the owner of the name more unique. How many have a true name with the meaning of bravery? But one time, bravery itself was a name ¨C a true eternal name! The new witch didn¡¯t hesitate for long ¨C the ritual wasn¡¯t difficult at all, she only needed to sit down and make herself forget her own name, reject that name, then write her name on her soul. Being in a soul state makes it much easier, so she sat down and closed her eyes intently. She willed the spiritual power in the artifact to approach her. She harnessed it extremely fast, it can be said that this is a great blessing upon her. Without much effort, she broke through the awakened apprentice stage extremely fast. Chapter 7 When the spiritual power finally gathered to the limit, she stretched focused deeply and her soul body seemed to become ethereal. Anyone that looked at her now would be able to see the inner depths of her soul, which is extremely dangerous. Then like hair, strings formed one after another inside it. Although the true name strengthens the witch, it is also a weakness that can be abused by those that know the name. But that didn¡¯t matter, even if a person¡¯s name was exactly like her true name, anyone that knew must have seen her true name or heard her say it. As long as anyone changes their true name slightly, their true name will be hidden under the laws of the spiritual and one won¡¯t be able to abuse it just by guessing. She had already decided on what kind of eternal name she¡¯d take. Among all the characteristics that persisted throughout the ages, she would naturally not take the negative ones, but the positive ones wouldn¡¯t fit with her, and if she took specific ones, it would be too much of a change. In the end, there was one thing that was somewhat neutral yet also positive ¨C Noble. A noble personality can be extremely positive, but it can also be cold and cruel. It gives her the air of a higher being, the indifference of the higher being, but also, it¡¯s generosity. After all, a single silver coin might be change for a true noble, while it is the wage of a month of a commoner in the old times. Of course, she couldn¡¯t take ¡®Noble¡¯, it is already an established old word. But no one said that you can¡¯t use a different word with the same meaning, or even the same word in a different language. Unlike the popular ¡®Noble¡¯, the dead language of Latin, the origin of many languages, naturally also has a word for it. The strings formed together and finally the name ¡®Nobilitas¡¯ formed. She¡¯d use a different language, but the closest language she knew and had attachment towards is Latin, and she didn¡¯t want to be too wilful. At the same time, she also decided to change her name based on this. In truth, when her body died, she had long lost her name and even forgotten it, now that she could choose¡ she chose the name ¡®Adele¡¯. It stems from ¡®Adel¡¯, having the meaning of Noble too, but in a different language, the word itself was still used as far as Adele knew, so she didn¡¯t use it as her eternal name. Additionally, having an eternal name that is much older than her is better, as for Adel, although it is also old, it isn¡¯t that old. If she could, she¡¯d even use an older language, but her knowledge was restricted to this, and the only reason she knew the Latin name was because she had worked in a hospital and had to pick up quite a few Latin words, this was just a fun fact at that time.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. After completing the name fully, the spiritual power of her soul gathered towards her heart. There are nine positions for the seals: two hands for action, two feet for movement, heart for emotions and origin, five senses for spiritual awareness, the brain for wisdom, reproductive organ for life, throat for communication and the solar plexus for balance. Naturally the eternal name is the origin of character and has a deep connection to the origin of self, so the heart is the most fitting. In the same principle, the next thing that fit the best for Adele was her reproductive organ. Fortunately this ritual has the same high requirement of having lived a long life. The one that creates an eternal name has to have lived for over a thousand years. The pre-version of the next one required every witch to have lived a thousand years, not only time witches, while time witches have the requirement of two thousand years. Although this might seem simple, the lifespan of witches and anyone that harnesses the spiritual power is defined by the laws of the spiritual world, at least the lower limit. The lower stages only have a lifespan of one-hundred and fifty, the middle stages have five hundred and the upper stages have a thousand. That is for all the races. Naturally there are other races that will naturally live longer, but they also have the issue of advancing slower and the requirements of two thousand years for humans becomes much more for other races. In proportion, it is still the same. The only thing that goes beyond this law are items or spells and rituals that naturally extend lifespan. It can be said that they exist, but they are definitely weakened and the more you take, the less effective they will be. Because of this, reaching two thousand years for humans is extremely difficult ¨C and that is under consideration that time witches live longer. Even they have to exercise many spells to achieve this. As for Adele¡ it can be said that she took a cheating way. Let¡¯s not talk about anything else ¨C even if you want to wait those years in a relic, it isn¡¯t possible. Adele escaped the laws of the spiritual world because technically, she was still a mortal the whole time. Even now, her body was still constructing and reconstructing. Her soul was catching up with all the time that passed. Every hundred years, time witches would have a small period of time where they are extremely weakened, only a few hours, but they have to experience this weakness because they live longer through their spells. It is also a reminder than the hundred years are a full lifespan of a mortal, one could say that this is an attack by the river of reincarnation on them. But once they get through it, their soul will become stronger. Theoretically, Adele was recuperating the whole time in the necklace of inheritance ¨C yes, she knew already that when the sand came in with her, it was a symbol that her physical body died. A lot of coincidences caused her to live so long and escape the laws, but after the first second of waking up, she knew that the laws were upon her as she felt extremely weak. The only reason she even completed the ritual was because although she felt weak, she wasn¡¯t restricted and there was no danger. Else, she would¡¯ve waited till all her lifetimes caught up with her. It was also because it was technically catching up and because she should¡¯ve experienced it, that it is so fast, normally a single session of reincarnation would take longer. Chapter 8 So, Adele focused herself and let her soul body do its own thing. Her next ritual had high requirements but because of them, the initial needs for materials were left out, normal time witches wouldn¡¯t be so happy since they¡¯d still need to use many materials to live past the two thousand years mark, but since Adele wasn¡¯t them, she didn¡¯t need to do that. She just let her body float in the necklace a bit as the inscriptions that should¡¯ve been extremely difficult were drawn on the ground below her. It wasn¡¯t that she was super talented, she was, but this wouldn¡¯t be possible regardless. No, the necklace actually helped her. The necklace itself had many ritual inscriptions stored, they could be copied inside the necklace at any time. Although this seems to be helpful, it isn¡¯t truly. Normally, many items were needed, and very few rituals can be activated in the necklace, most need the laws of the outside world. The first seal was one that only affected herself, so Adele was able to do it, and the second seal would also affect her, although she¡¯d need to go out to activate it, since the ritual was for that anyways, there was no need to worry. Originally, the display of rituals is a means to learn, but it didn¡¯t matter if it was abused this way anyways. At this moment, the inscriptions activated and shined brightly, then Adele¡¯s soul shined in turn and the feeling of old age came from it. The energy of time seemed to scream from Adele¡¯s soul and the inscriptions that shined just know became incredibly dim until they were crushed. Spiritual energy floated out from it and it combined with an extreme rush of spiritual energy from the necklace. It combined together and finally a spiritual seal forced above her reproductive organ. Looking at both rituals, one might think that they didn¡¯t need to be sealed, but this thought is very wrong. The effect of any ritual outside the seals aren¡¯t permanent, there are exceptions and ways to make them permanent of course, but these are just different kinds of seals. If one wanted a ritual to be permanent and be extremely effective, without becoming cursed, which happens with most other kinds of seals, then one needs to seal the ritual in themselves. This is very effective and has no disadvantage, except that such rituals as these two can only be used very rarely, the eternal name is a passive effect and only takes effect for certain rituals that require her to use her true name. As for the second ritual¡ it is an extremely important ritual. The normal ritual is called Grand Reincarnation! Yes, this enables one to skip the river of reincarnation and directly reincarnate into a new body that constructs itself, even skipping the karma that would form naturally between parents and children as well as keeping the memories and the mortal coil that would be washed away.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Although one might think that the mortal coil is bad, it isn¡¯t at all. At least not for Adele, after all, the age of her soul is part of her mortal coil. If she were to purify herself of it, wouldn¡¯t she shoot herself into the foot? The flaw here is that even though it consumes a whole seal, you can only activate it once. This is a great flaw, and you can¡¯t get rid of this seal either. Although seals are essential and you can basically not get rid of them, there are still some special means, but this isn¡¯t possible here. What a joke, the seal is responsible for your second life, if you destroy it, you simply die. The changed ritual is called ¡®Grand Reincarnation of Eons¡¯. There is an extremely important factor with this ritual and also one of the reasons why time witches are the most hated opponents of most other major organisations. If you don¡¯t have a chance to kill them young, then no one will risk making an opponent out of them. This ritual¡ can be repeated! It obviously also has a flaw, that is, every reincarnation besides the first, which can be said to be the gift of having created this seal, will cost one a thousand years of soul age. It means that after using it for a second time, your soul will regress in age. For time witches, the age of their soul is a huge resource, and they would become weaker every time they had to use it. The cost isn¡¯t low either, a whole thousand years. The reincarnation wouldn¡¯t even be profitable if they die before they lived their whole life as a higher stage witch, not to mention die earlier. This means that theoretically, a time witch has three lives. The first is the free first reincarnation after forming the seal. They will most likely die soon afterwards, since two thousand years of age is truly beyond many limits. The second and third lives will destroy their heritage, although the second reincarnation won¡¯t be too bad, the third, if they don¡¯t reach a high stage, will end up making them be in an infinite circle of dying and resurrecting but losing all their powers. Some witches would go insane when that happens to them and they would rather end everything fully. This is one of the reasons time witches are extremely rare. Not to mention anything else, it is rare just being able to form the higher seal, only one in ten time witches is able to do so. Naturally this might sound like a high chance, but considering everything, how few of them would live truly forever? But after all, the benefits are also huge. Any time a time witch lives beyond a thousand years, she become stronger. And a time witch such as Adele? She has eleven whole lives, although one will soon be consumed, ten lives are still a huge number. If she¡¯s not an untalented fool, then reaching the peak is only a question of how many times she has to die. But this is also a reason why Adele planned to complete the most important seals as early as possible, the less important would come later. This is exactly the reverse of other witches, but she had the best qualifications as long as she was in this timeline. Who knows which kind of accidents she¡¯d suffer later? Only now, when her affinity is at the peak and she¡¯s able to fulfil the most difficult requirement for these rituals can she learn them. She is sure of one thing: compared to other witches, she will be even weaker in her early stages, but her peak will be much higher. For this, she already has half a solution, it¡¯s only a question of whether she do what she wants. Chapter 9 Having completed this, Adele didn¡¯t stop but continued to consume all the spiritual power that remained. As per her calculations, it pushed her fully onto the peak of the third stage and she¡¯s nearly ready to advance to the fourth stage. Although it was a bit rushed, she didn¡¯t really mind. She didn¡¯t know the situation outside, but one thing was for sure, after ten thousand years, people should¡¯ve stabilised their power long ago, some might even have broken through the upper stage. After all, she was sure to succeed in this after ten thousand years, why wouldn¡¯t others? They might have less timespan, but after all, this wasn¡¯t the only thing that was great. Who knew what kind of chances they got? She only knew that although she was strong now, she might be very weak the moment she went out. So in the next moment, she stopped herself from recklessly deciding on a different ritual than she decided already. There was a lot of space in the necklace, apparently it also worked as a storage space, an extremely good one. Then she went in deeper and explored the lands she had fully ignored up to this point, though a general idea of everything was in her mind already. It only took a few seconds of walking, she seemed to teleport as she did inside, it took longer because she wasn¡¯t sure of the exact position. But when she landed, she saw it in front of her: a huge glassy botanical house where she could plant plants. When she went inside, she even saw many common items from the spiritual world, as well as other extremely rare ones. There was even one plant that stood out from all the others, it was in the middle of the botanical garden ¨C an extremely small plant with a shining gem like fruit hanging down. Although it looked tempting, Adele quickly left the scene. This botanic garden was the actual recipient of the spiritual power, which was why she said that it was a mutation when she was able to absorb spiritual power that was very strongly attuned to herself. She had a vague idea of what these rare plants were, but didn¡¯t look at them longer. After all, the temptation to waste them was large, especially after they grew for so long. The botanic garden was managed by formations placed all around, a semi-permanent type of ritual, so all the plants grew well and none went over and encroached on the territory of another. Even among the common plants, some had mutated while others simply became stronger and purer. Regardless, most of them weren¡¯t usable for now. After all, the time witches might want to sponsor a lot, but they didn¡¯t want to grow a flower in the green house¡ well they did, but their inheritor wasn¡¯t supposed to be one. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. So naturally, what they grew might be common plants, but barely any of them are ones that help with cultivation. At least the early stages are supposed to be fully climbed by the inheritor¡ it cane be said that this step was skipped, but regardless, they aren¡¯t of much help to the current Adele. She just thought that the time witches must¡¯ve spent a lot of resources to create this artifact that worked to well, it¡¯d be a shame if they didn¡¯t receive anything in return. She also knew full well that she¡¯d have to repay everything she received ¨C even the ten thousand years of seclusion. Just thinking of this caused a few headaches for her ¨C resources might be important for others, and this necklace truly costed a lot, but time witches lived so long, naturally they had a lot of wealth. They must have had other intentions when they created this inheritance. Obviously world domination and gifting it to them was impossible, regardless, inheritors aren¡¯t slaves. At least not for the witches. One thing was for sure, Adele would need to work hard to fulfil their requests. Though she wasn¡¯t too averse to this idea. If the Coven of Witches was like it was described, then she was willing to join it fully with her heart. She thought that the idea of having a group of people similar to her sounded very enjoyable. Although she wasn¡¯t na?ve, there was a reason why she was so compatible with the artifact and the inheritance. Then, she left the botanic garden temporarily. She only gave it a last look to count the empty space. Although most of the space was littered with plants, there was a bit of empty space in the corner for the inheritor to practice and grow their own things. The area would become much larger after removing the common plants, but that would have to wait for now. Next, small teleportations happened again and Adele landed in front of a huge library. She entered and saw countless books all around. These books were the foundation upon which the necklace¡¯s encyclopaedia worked. Naturally Adele wouldn¡¯t be able to read them all, but she quickly saw a shelf on the side. Approximately hundred books were on the shelf, so it was rather large, but not too large. She knew from the introductory knowledge that this was the basic knowledge she should learn. Since so many years passed, all of this should¡¯ve already been figured out, but it wouldn¡¯t hurt to learn this before she reincarnated again. And it is indeed so, many books were even too old for the current things that happened outside the necklace, but old knowledge wouldn¡¯t be thrown away, it would be called history and in the end at most become more specific knowledge, but the future basics would be based on this. Having a strong foundation was the key in studying. It might¡¯ve been a long time since Adele studied theoretically, but she could still remember that it was just half a year ago when she completed her master. She knew very well the principles of studying and took five books out of the shelf, went to a table on the side, and sat down. Paper and ink were already on the table, what confused Adele was that the quill she expected was instead a fountain pen¡ she was confused, but there was a ¡®History of the Spiritual World¡¯ book among the many books, so she took it and read it. Thankfully she had trained in writing with a feather tip pen before, it was actually in elementary school¡ so she had to train it again, but at least it wasn¡¯t an unknown motion. Chapter 10 Adele looked through the records and it didn''t take long to understand why there was a fountain pen. It was not because the artifact changed based on where it landed, but because it was a universal law in the spiritual world. The spiritual world has connected to many worlds ranging from low technology to extremely high technology, but the extraordinary people that harness magic are beyond the means of technology. Even those that specify in the usage of it usually are craftsman that have extended knowledge, those that went the extreme path¡ have long died in the many wars of the spirit world. There is one reason for this: the destructibility of high technology is too strong. It is also extremely inefficient when fighting against higher enemies, so it basically only targets the masses of the different worlds. Not only are they the foundation of many organisations, they are also the foundation of the spiritual world. So whenever there was a war against those technological advanced organisations, the spiritual world would always subtly help. After all, although technology managed to find a way to give birth consciousness, they aren''t the only ones that achieved it. The biggest issue is that their way is not usable on a large scale. It can be said that the spiritual world and the many organisations gave them enough time to grow, and after seeing that they didn''t succeed, there was no need for them to exist. From then on, high technology was banned with the help of the spiritual world itself. The organisations went a step further and based on many experiments, they found that a timespan similar to the Victorian age is the best for the three requirements of growth, power and ease. Technology makes the growth of the common people easier, although it isn''t on an extremely high-tech level, as long as some extraordinary people are put in place to ensure that they don''t die on a large scale because of natural disasters, diseases or even because of themselves. Power in this case means the authority of the extraordinary people. No one would be able to fight them anyways, but it was seen that the authority of the standing powers would be more often challenged when society was on a higher level. This point is mainly important for churches and other such organisations that depend on a large number of faithful people, advanced societies tend to be less faithful in this regard. Finally, ease is the ease of reigning the lower people as well as the ease of using technology. Naturally higher extraordinary people can use their powers to move around the world, middle ones can do the same on a short distance, but lower ones are many times slower than a locomotive. Because of this, and other features of technology that are helpful to the different stages of extraordinary people, it was finally decided that the Victorian age would work best. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. Adele wasn''t so sure ¨C after all, in her understanding, there would surely be ways to improve the reproduction of common people in different ways for different ages, but she didn''t know the depth of everything, and maybe it wasn''t that such things weren''t possible, but they might have different disadvantages, or they were simply inefficient. She only knew that because this age was decided to be the age in which the whole spiritual world would act, every organisation worked together to make it a true law in the spiritual world, and as long as a new world conducts a ritual to accept this law, they will change too. Based on this, she didn''t think the outside world would be any different. She only had a question of what would happen with the common people that would attempt to advance the technology ¨C those geniuses. But apparently, this was no issue. Rather than advancing, they would continuously make their current age more efficient, find solutions to issues such as pollution, and more. No single mortal would live long enough to change everything, and every few centuries, the spiritual world would regulate the advancements made and reverse them, creating new issues or reviving old issues for the common people to have their fun with. As for the extraordinary people that walked this path, although high technology wasn''t possible, they were still allowed to go from the common steam engines to using electricity. Basically, they were allowed to be more advanced than others and still have their uniqueness, but the high technology that once existed was banned altogether by the spiritual world and major organisations. "I wasn''t particularly looking forward to sci fi, but I can imagine why it was rejected. And in the end, it is mainly the common people that benefit from a highly advanced society, while the extraordinary wouldn''t benefit as much. Those in power only care for their own benefit, that is for sure." Afterwards, Adele continued to read the book while taking notes on the side. She was happy doing this, at least she''d be able to practice writing with a fountain pen again. The last time she did this was when she was only in elementary school, so it was a long time and her writing was a bit ugly. ¡ Time passed once more as Adele went from book to book, reading the whole ''basic knowledge'' shelf. Once she finished, she re-read her notes and appreciated the progress of her writing. It was only after editing them again and again that she threw them away. The information was always available and having written everything, she also memorised the core points. Keeping these notes wouldn''t be necessary, in the end, she''d just overview them for a second before re-reading the book about what she looks for anyways. Unlike her previous state, her memory was stronger and she had more time, so there was no need to rush anything. She could take all the time in the world to relaxedly read the content and make judgements based on her situation. This was much better than improvising every time she came upon a situation. Chapter 11 Having finished everything, Adele was finally ready to reincarnate! She only contemplated how to reincarnate ¨C to become an orphan or to be born in a noble house? In fact, she already knew the answer deep down. Maybe it was her eternal name, but she felt that she is part of nobility and shouldn¡¯t be known to come from a lower standing. It wasn¡¯t contempt towards lower people, no, it was the will of every noble to keep their reputation. Not only this, being a noble would be more conductive to her eternal name and she¡¯d be able to have many benefits by being born into a high standing noble family. In comparison, the only benefit of an orphan background would be that she¡¯d have more freedom. But based on her being a witch, this freedom wasn¡¯t actually important. As a witch, she¡¯d be staying in places more than moving around, a noble family is very fitting. Then there is the question of keeping her identity safe. One thing is for sure ¨C a major organisation only has in extreme rare cases two inheritors in a new world. Meaning, there was no other witch around, so she¡¯d have no direct allies. As for enemies¡ the witches never lacked in this regard. There are too many for her to count, so she didn¡¯t attempt to do it. She was sure that her identity couldn¡¯t be revealed. In this situation, being an orphan might sound easier, but at the same time, if she was an orphan and continuously advanced, then many suspicious eyes would fall upon her. Even if it wasn¡¯t suspicion, it would be greed. As for noble families, they have always focused on their own gain. In one of the books that are supposed to help the witches gain a foundation in a new world, it was described that most local nobles will have their own agenda and won¡¯t act against witches for no reason, especially not when the witches give them benefit, or even better, are part of their camp. The only factions that would never accept their existence would be the various churches. Once a few churches settled down, they would usually ally themselves with local nobles and might even connect with other churches that have different teachings. Afterward, they would attempt to gain supremacy over the faith of the common people and would never allow any other organisation to step into their territory. Even if the organisation is a church with similar principles, they only view them as competitors. As for witches? They are viewed as heretics that worship devils, in truth witches aren¡¯t the main enemy, but they indeed have connections to hell, and any faction that has connections there are viewed by the churches to be heretics. If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. It is simply a war of faith, the so-called orthodox churches and the evil hell. As for which side is good and which is bad, that isn¡¯t important to the extraordinary people, much rather the spiritual world. Although hell practice the way of sacrifices, many of these sacrifices will eventually become a citizen of hell, and even if that isn¡¯t the case, their sea of consciousness would just reincarnate or be swallowed by the spiritual world. In essence, there is no difference for the spiritual world, so there were never laws against any of the faction. Witches have a connection to hell because they are simply a great supplier for summons. They care about benefit and as long as the orthodox churches don¡¯t intend to win them over, they will use the great open ¡®trade¡¯-channel of hell. Regardless, Adele knew that although churches reacted that way, nobles didn¡¯t care so much. How many of those traded in secret with hell themselves? Nobles are greedy people that take the open hand of the church and the hidden hand of hell. They themselves often don¡¯t rely on the power of faith, so they don¡¯t care much regardless. Thinking of this, Adele had her answer already. She was sure that as long as the world outside wasn¡¯t too biased towards the churches, she¡¯d be able to influence any noble family she was born into as long as she became an influential person in the family. Although nobles might seem greedy and dirty, that is only to the outside world. When it comes to their own family members, nobles are extremely protective. It might not be the best situation every time, but it ensures the lineage and the benefits of everyone in the family. Having decided upon her next steps, Adele finally took another last look around the necklace. She had only visited the garden and the library, but she knew there was more. Although that is the case, she felt that the other things weren¡¯t necessary for now. Even if she knew of them, it wouldn¡¯t help much, so she decisively went to where she entered. Although she could leave from wherever, it felt more correct to leave where she entered. As she looked at the place, a relaxed sigh of relief left her. She was so excited the whole time that she had unconsciously built up so stress in her soul. It was the passing of all the lifetimes that she finally felt like she had truly let go of the past. Like a past that caught up with her, she is no longer so unwilling compared to when she first saw the situation. She remembered when the first people started falling down, her thought the whole time was ¡®Why- I have just started succeeding in life!¡¯. Now, she felt that this life might be much more exciting than before. After all¡ she was a huge fan of magic and books about them! Although it is an exaggeration to say that she knew deep lore, at least these books what got her through the difficult times. Now, she finally experienced it herself. The fantasy that she always wished to be in, suddenly came to her. Although she felt that this fantasy wasn¡¯t as dream-like as those books, at least it seemed that this new world would be incredibly enjoyable. If you don¡¯t enjoy the risks, can you truly take them with a heartfelt smile? Maybe it¡¯s because she knew that she had several lives even after reincarnating¡ but she didn¡¯t feel the fear of death as much as others might. Chapter 12 Adele stepped into the outside world, into the spirit world. And in an instant, power surged from all around and she was able to feel the river of reincarnation opening up towards her. Although this surprised her, she simply smiled and let the seal ward the river off. The seal in the colour of green shined from inside her soul, and the river that was about to open up seemed to reluctantly close once again. ¡®Well, the river could probably still attempt to eat me up, after all, I have spent a hundred mortal lifetimes. But the river has a connection to us time witches after all¡ the records say that we have formed a pact with it, it won¡¯t be able to attack us as long as we have this special time reincarnation seal. I do wonder though, what was the price for gaining such a huge benefit?¡¯ Then what followed her out was the sand that was entrapped inside the necklace with her. This time, the sand directly formed a ferry, a much more luxurious one than before, and its speed was incredibly fast. Adele shuttled through the spirit world a bit and looked at the many memories of the other islands around. Her soul was much stronger, and she was easily able to see through the situations of other islands. As far as she saw, the world was truly like the records said: a world in the Victorian age. Finally, she came across a scholar who knew a lot of things. Watching the several illusions across his island, one specific came into her eyes. It was when the scholar was young, and he had read about the world for the first time. ¡®The northern continent, two eastern continents, southern continent and two western continents. Do they mean Europe, Asia and Australia, Africa and North and South America? Well, calling Europe the north is probably not wrong¡ it seems that no one took the title of central continent.¡¯ The boy kept on reading and it seemed that some anecdotes were written in the book too ¡®The powers around the continents couldn¡¯t decide how the continents would be called, so they simply decided to take geographical locations? Well, that seems very human.¡¯ She looked at the illusion a bit longer before she switched to a different one. It was of the boy in a class listening to the teachings of a teacher. Just listening to it, Adele felt very weird. They spoke her native language indeed, since she had died there and didn¡¯t move at all, it wasn¡¯t surprising they spoke the same language. It is a bit surprising that they built the city again, but considering that it was the past capital, maybe they rebuild the capital in the end? But what really bothered her was that her native language sounded so inelegant in their mouth. Her language was called the language of the philosophers and poets, although it was hard sounding, it was very elegant and extremely complex, very fitting for those that attempt to speak in riddles. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. She even spoke the later language that had the prefix ¡®High¡¯ for being pure and with no dialect. Looking at the language they spoke here, it felt as if they were mishandling her language, even the worst dialect at her time was easier to comprehend. Thankfully the spiritual world made it easier to comprehend and she quickly understood what the teacher was teaching. It was the political standing of the empire. That¡¯s right, the republic she once lived in became an empire, the Kran Empire. There is still a parliament though, so it can be said to be a parliamentary monarchy. And from how the teacher described the different powers, it seemed to still follow the old system majorly. The emperor is above all, but he doesn¡¯t control the empire as much as he ensures the balance between the different parties that control the empire. He is more like the ¡®highest judge¡¯ that ensures prosperity of the empire, the imperial power is also the mightiest of all, but when it came to politics, he had much less of a right to talk. It was weird, in all honesty. But she knew that she couldn¡¯t find out more about this by watching this scholar. Although the upper class of commoners could get education in this age, they would by far not get the important information that circulates commonly among the extraordinary people. Thinking of this, she stopped watching and flew around a bit more. When she saw that she couldn¡¯t get any more specific information, she didn¡¯t intend to stay any longer. The foundational books also included a way to enter and leave the spiritual world. The witches¡¯ way can be said to be one of the most natural. She only had to pulsate the seals in her soul in a certain rhythm to connect them to higher laws, which would then send her back. Don¡¯t think this is difficult, although it requires training, it is much easier and convenient than most other ways. At least this way, she could enter and leave whenever she wanted. She did as she thought and soon her eternal name seal seemed to connect to the physical world. Her body dissipated, there was no portal or something like that. Those things are actually very ineffective for a single person transportation. Only when there are several people, and they all have the same destination, would a portal make sense. When her body finally dissipated, Adele saw her surroundings. There was no dizziness, so she was able to quickly adjust. Steam was rolling around the city, but unlike the dirty steam of the true Victorian age, this one seemed extremely clean, like a winter fog or a small cloud that descended. And this was only because she was high up, if she had to guess, then below, there was probably no such thing at all. She was happy about this, at least there wouldn¡¯t be a lot of pollution. Although it was a bit funny she still cared about the environment, but thinking that the world transformed, she didn¡¯t wish to imagine the consequences of pollution in this day and age. She looked around just as she was about to fly away, her reincarnation seal gave her information. It seemed that there was a huge barrier all around the city, for now the seal could still shield her because of the special state she is in, but if she were to stay too long, then the seal won¡¯t be able to help her. Chapter 13 After knowing what the seal meant, Adele instantly used her eternal name seal in an ingenious way. Since it was ¡®Nobilitas¡¯ it would naturally react to the noble air around, right? This was indeed the case, she had only pulsated it a bit before she knew in which direction there was a lot of nobility. When she approached, it quickly became clear this this was the noble district. The mansions were huge, each had an illusory barrier around, and few walked the street, even though they were incredibly clean, just as the air above was a clear sky. Adele knew one thing: the higher nobles have bigger mansions, so she flied around in an attempt to see the biggest mansion. When she finally seemed to enter the centre of the noble district, seven mansions stood out, especially two of them. Sensing with her soul, Adele also knew that these mansions were the oldest, only slightly younger than her soul! This meant that they all existed just a few decades after the awakening. She didn¡¯t feel the same from any of the other mansions around. They are probably the core of nobility. Looking around, she thought of which mansion to join, and instantly crossed four away, one of which was even among the two huge mansions. These mansions all had weapons on their family crest. She knew this meant they were very likely war nobles, or border nobles. Regardless, both of them weren¡¯t to her taste. Although she was very likely to participate in war, she didn¡¯t want to be among those nobles that fought endlessly with no break. The three remaining weren¡¯t any worse anyways. The huge mansion had a feather and a paper as crest ¡®Law makers? Or maybe high in he government?¡¯ She thought about it and it didn¡¯t seem bad to join them, but when she came a bit closer, she felt incredibly weak. Although she wasn¡¯t able to feel any enemies, she knew that if she entered the barrier, she wouldn¡¯t be able to escape. ¡®But how is this possible? The seal should shield me even if it was a ninth stage master¡ except¡¡¯ she was shocked and quickly used her senses to feel around. When she did so, she felt the same power from the other large mansion she rejected, and an even stronger power seemed to come from the middle of the city, far away from her. ¡®I expected it¡ but for three factions to break through the upper limit¡ are they knights, wizards or gods? Or maybe something else?¡¯The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Regardless, just from this, she was knew that she wouldn¡¯t be able to join them, so she looked at the two other mansions. One had a crest of a shadowy figure that constantly changed shapes, while the other was a huge eye in the centre, it was purple and shining with silver light, just looking at it felt like everything was seen through. Adele thought that this one would probably be even more dangerous, but she also thought that the most dangerous place would be the safest. If everyone thought like here ¨C that these people who seem to be able to see through everything, then there was no way for them not to be able to see whether one was a heretic or not. Because of this, she took the risk and approached the mansion, crossing the barrier. Looking all around, she saw many single houses spread around and a large building with five stories in the middle. She didn¡¯t hesitate to approach the large building. She felt there was an extremely dangerous existence at the top of the building. Even if she wasn¡¯t detected by the barrier, if she came too close, that existence would find her. So instead, she came to the first floor and looked at the servants. The servants knew best who was more important and who could be neglected. It has just become bright outside and they seemed to go around, clean the building and then prepare breakfast as well as wake up their masters. There were two important people Adele paid attention to: the butler and the head maid. The butler would often serve the most important people directly, but he was also the assistant to the head of the house. The head maid would be the one serving the highest lady in the house. Thinking of this, she finally decided to follow the head maid. She was responsible for all the maids in the house and in this age, she was also the assistant to the highest lady, helping her manage the household. Although Adele thought that the current Victorian Age was likely very progressed, taking care of a household has never been an easy task. Especially for such a high standing noble family, they were likely extremely important people, second only to the head of the house. This is why she thought that even if it was progressed, no lady would reject that position. As she followed, she soon arrived in front of a room on the fourth floor. The head maid opened the side door quietly and approached the bed. On the bed, there laid a fair lady with silver hair. A man with black hair laid next to her, somewhat hugging her. The head maid was accustomed to it and only lightly tapped on the finger of the lady with a small bell. The bell didn¡¯t make any sound at all, but the lady seemed to have instantly woken up. But instead of being surprised or annoyed like any normal person that woke up would be, she moved slowly and carefully out of bed and left the room. Adele looked and saw that the black haired man actually opened his eyes, they were extremely dark, but Adele was able to feel love inside of them, looking at the door. She didn¡¯t say anything and followed outside. The silver haired beauty entered an office just on the other side of the floor, she sat on the sofa and listened to the reports of the head maid. Chapter 14 ¡°My lady, the kitchen has already started, and breakfast will be ready in thirty minutes. The butler is on his way to wake up his lordship too.¡± The lady nodded and asked ¡°That¡¯s good. There should be a banquet today, right?¡± ¡°It is as the lady says. The banquet is held by a vassal of the family, the daughter of the marchioness is ten years old this year.¡± ¡°Already ten? It feels like I had just attended her birth celebration yesterday.¡± The head maid seemed used to this, she shook her head and said ¡°My lady, for you, ten years might truly seem insignificant. After all, you have lived for over two hundred years.¡± ¡°So long already? If it wasn¡¯t for you, I would think I am still a newlywed! But I still have no children to date¡¡± The maid saw the pain in her master¡¯s face and shook her head again ¡°My lady, you can¡¯t say this. At your age, you are already at the sixth stage¡ as long as you advance, you will have many years to have children!¡± The two chatted a bit more and the laziness of the lady seemed to fully disappear, then her noble demeanour became obvious as her maid helped her dress. Adele, on the side, looked at all this happening and decided that this lady would be her mother from now on. She used her seal of reincarnation and seemed to be pulled into the body of the lady, while the lady didn¡¯t feel anything at all. Inside, Adele looked weird and a bit embarrassed. She followed into the depths of the ladies body and soon saw a little war between snakes. She closed her eyes and simply felt the power of them. Two snakes were the strongest among them all, one even had a high concentration of dark-like power inside. She inspected it deeper and was happy to find that this was a female snake. Unfortunately, it seemed that this snake was about to lose, her vitality after a night of fighting was very low. Although the same was the case for other snakes too, they didn¡¯t give up. After all, all these snakes only acted upon instinct. Adele quickly moved, although she was a bit disgusted. She entered the body of the female snake and took control of everything. She pushed her own magical power into her reincarnation seal. With its help, the seal seemed to work wonders and the snake that was fighting a bit with the newly entered entity gave up control fully. Even the dark power inside seemed to attach itself to the entity. Although Adele didn¡¯t know what it was, she thought that it might be good, so she kept it. Then, she willed a bit more spiritual power and the slow snake seemed to have fully regained vitality. It pushed all away and as it moved closer to the eggs hidden some distance away, some purple power seemed to change the snake.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. The dark power mixed with the purple power and became violet. Adele didn¡¯t know how it is now, but she knew that the purple power was her affinity for witchcraft that changed the snake to be compatible with her own. As for the violet power¡ she could only guess that it enhanced her witchcraft and maybe gave her a different ability on top. There was a second reason why she chose this house: the purple eye made her hope that it would conceal her own compatibility to witchcraft. With her strength, the snake moved extremely fast and Adele saw many eggs all around. She looked at them and took a long time until she found the egg that was of a deep purple colour. She approached it and wanted to enter it, but there seemed to be resistance. Not towards her own previous purple, but rather towards the darkness that was mixed with the now violet. Although this was the case, the resistance wasn¡¯t huge. Although she was changing the snake, she wasn¡¯t able to give the snake more maximum vitality than it had, at least not in a short time. Even though this was the case, the egg¡¯s resistance was pierced in just a moments time. ¡®At least it seems that what I am doing isn¡¯t physically impossible. From the resistance and the fact that those snakes fought, my guess is that this is a rare occurrence, but at least it is possible. This means I won¡¯t be a unique entity, at most a genius.¡¯ After all, even if Adele is born, she didn¡¯t want to be someone who is too outstanding. At least on the surface. Her witchcraft was hidden anyways, but if her official talents are too high, then too much attention would come upon her. It was fine if the attention only came from the family, but if she attracted the attention of those three families¡ she didn¡¯t want to imagine what would happen! It only took a moment before she was inside the egg, and after entering, the purple energy inside combined with the snake¡¯s violet and the colour became a beautiful deep violet. With her senses, Adele felt like the colour was very close to her necklace. As for the necklace itself, it was hiding in her soul and wasn¡¯t physically manifested, at least she didn¡¯t plant to do that for the time being. The artifact also had a protective function which she didn¡¯t want to give up. Her only sadness now is because she lost the spiritual power. If she still had it, then advancing towards the next stage would be as easy as breathing. Now, she felt like she was quite a bit far away from it. And based on the spiritual power she felt outside, she thought that it would take at least ten years to approach at level. Maybe she was a bit too optimistic about her guess that the spiritual power for the fourth level would only take a few decades to form inside the necklace. Now it seemed that the spiritual power wasn¡¯t high at all in the physical world. It¡¯s not that it was low either, but it was still lower than the spiritual world. Thinking of the books she read, she only hoped that her family had a way to open a permanent channel to the spiritual world and gush the mansion with spiritual power. They are called spiritual power nodes and without them, it would be very difficult for those in the middle stages to rank up, not to mention the higher stages. Considering the fact that her mother was about to advance¡ Adele only hoped that her family closed the node temporarily to save spiritual power for her mother¡¯s advancement. With this final thought, she fell asleep. Although she¡¯d be able to stay awake if she focused her spiritual power, she didn¡¯t want to force it. It was better for her soul to have a rest for the next nine months. Chapter 15 A few weeks later, Isabel von Holle went into a special room where the spiritual node of House Holle was hidden. When she entered, she sat down on a bed in the middle and begun to gather the spiritual power into her body. ¡ Outside, Isabel¡¯s husband Ludwig von Trugbild was also present. He looked expectant at the door. On the side, elder of House Holle, Friedrich von Holle, also looked at the door of his daughter. This was his only child whom he got when he was over four hundred years old. His wife had already died of old age, and this was the last family remaining. They were still looking and about to leave when the door suddenly opened. Isabel came out and when they saw her, both men were surprised. Friedrich was the first to ask ¡°Is everything okay? Did you forget anything? Why did you come out so early?¡± Isabel looked at the worried Ludwig on the side. She took his hand into hers and looked at her father as she said ¡°There is no need to go into seclusion¡ at least not now. Ludwig, Father¡ I¡¯m pregnant!¡± She said the last sentence very excited, and the two men felt like they heard wrong. When they saw tears of joy in her eyes, they knew this was the truth. Ludwig hugged her deeply, before letting go, only for her to be directly hugged by her father once again. Extraordinary people only get a few children in their lifetime, and the chance of giving birth would be reduced the longer one walked the path of strength. After all, their bloodline was extremely strong and wilful, the combination of two different bloodlines is always difficult, and as they become stronger, the separate more and more from the river of reincarnation, making it even more difficult for them to give birth. As for two similar bloodlines¡ it has long been figured out that closely related people will never give birth, regardless of how much they try. The resistance jumps to an extreme level where nothing is born, and when something is born, it¡¯ll become a monster. This isn¡¯t a question only for the women, men have the same issue. Only with concentrated effort is it possible to give birth. And oftentimes, after giving birth, the river of reincarnation will have even more resistance towards both people. They are the underlaying laws of the spiritual world. After all, if there are too many extraordinary beings, then more spiritual power is consumed than created. This can naturally not happen, so even if two young people are full of vitality, they might never give birth. It¡¯s not uncommon to never have children for those in high stages, which is why they all marry young before becoming thirty. Don¡¯t think this is late, in fact, only a fifth of their life passed. For the previous earth, this is equivalent to marrying at fifteen.A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. ¡°Isabel, how did you find out?¡± Isabel touched her belly lovingly ¡°When I was absorbing spiritual power¡ this little thing took a part too.¡± Friedrich was surprised ¡°Is this the case?!¡± Ludwig was even more happy ¡°My child has the talent of her mother!¡± The early one was able to absorb spiritual power, the better it is. But besides that, there was one more important thing. The spiritual power in the room was specifically changed. It is extremely compatible with the bloodline of Frau Holle. Frau Holle is an ancient spiritual creature that had existed thousands of years before the spiritual world set foot in this world. She is a goddess figure who is able to see through the circle of life and death as well as perceive destiny. Not only is she able to perceive destiny, she is also a figure with the right to intervene into fate. Unlike other prophetic mythical figures in the past, such as the Norns, she is even able to go even as far as warning those that are affected by their destiny directly. That is not to say she is stronger than then Norns, after all, she perceives fate and can be said to be a custodian, while the Norns spun the fate of every being in the world. In the end, it can be said that they are somewhat equally strong. When one knows their fate through the Norns, then their fate will be sealed. The price one has to pay Frau Holle instead is that seals are placed upon them for eternity. Although one could say both are gruesome, the second has at least a chance to fight against fate. Naturally whether it¡¯s Frau Holle or the Norns, they are mythical beings who transcend mortal life, mortals, regardless which level they are at, have to pay an additional price for seeing fate. For Isabel, spiritual power compatible with Frau Holle is like liquid gold. But, for anyone else, that kind of spiritual power is extremely vicious and can even be said to be poisonous. After all, foreign spiritual power that doesn¡¯t fit you is dangerous to your power. If you were to make a mistake and even be infected by the spiritual power of a being like Holle, then the cost for your spells might change, their effect and attributes might mutate even. Although that might sound tempting, such a level of experimentation will end the life of numerous extraordinary people, and even then, results are unknown. Isabel, Friedrich and Ludwig would be happy if she just was able to harness spiritual power. There are cases where children between extraordinary people can¡¯t do so. Fortunately, fate doesn¡¯t punish them for this, and their reproductivity doesn¡¯t decline. But who is happy to have a child they won¡¯t be able to care for? They can¡¯t be said to be cruel. After all, their lifespan is much higher than that of their child. As for inheriting the bloodline, this was a truly rare thing. After all, this is the core of every family, and only those that inherit the bloodline will become important in the family. This is the reason why Friedrich, even though he¡¯s only an eight-circle wizard, is allowed to become the branch head in the capital, the most important branch of the family. After all, his daughter has inherited the bloodline. She is even more talented than him and is very likely to achieve the ninth circle by the five hundred mark. It was also for this reason why she married so late at the age of fifty. At first the family was against any marriage, but her talent was immense after all, so the Trugbild family wanted to ally themselves even deeper. Although Ludwig was only thirty at that time, his talent was extremely great and he is only slightly worse than Isabel¡¯s. From this, it¡¯s obvious how much investment the Trugbild family put into it. Chapter 16 The family waited expectant and as Isabel¡¯s belly swelled more and more, it became obvious she was pregnant, so she stayed behind closed doors. It¡¯s not the family wants to supress it, but the soul is very weak at this stage and higher ranked people can see through some things at a first glance. Only when the child is born and received the blessing of the river of reincarnation, will it be somewhat shielded. At least a single glance isn¡¯t enough, or any non-forceful attempt at all. In addition to this, once it is born and truly shows her bloodline, she will also be protected by fate. The Holle family has a close relationship with fate and the laws of the spiritual world. They can even be said to be keepers in this regard, after all, sixteen generations of higher ranked people in their family kept their promises to the spiritual world after gaining the bloodline, and every generation ensured prosperity. All the seals they put upon the people that asked for their fate have benefited the spiritual world. ¡ Time passed once more, and the ninth month, Isabel gave birth in her family. A little girl was born, silver hair like her mother, beautiful and unique, when she opened her eyes quietly without crying, one was able to see shining dark purple eyes. The maids cleaned up very quickly and Ludwig carried the baby to her mother. The mother looked at the baby and then at her husband. Fate seemed to revolve around her child and finally was absorbed into her eyes, then it announced the name of the child to anyone that could listen to fate in the surroundings ¡°Adele, the Noble with Thousand Eyes.¡± When they heard her title, they were a bit surprised. Eyes a symbol of the Holle family, that was for sure¡ but the prefix ¡®thousand¡¯ is often used in relation to the Trugbild family, such as Ludwig¡¯s ¡®thousand shadows¡¯ or the renown ¡®thousand shapes¡¯ and ¡®thousand faces¡¯. This was very important because the Trugbild family¡ had the bloodline of Doppelg?nger! Right at this moment, the baby¡¯s eye colour changed from purple to red. Then the red turned into a white and black movement. The adults looked at the baby, and Isabel said ¡°No one shall know of this. Father, report to the clan head about this matter, but tell no one else! Ludwig¡ please keep it a secret, at least until we figured out in which direction her Doppelg?nger bloodline mutated.¡± Currently, they were only able to see a change of colours, but they were sure that it was much more meaningful that this. ¡ Ten years passed once more. In these years, Adele grew up in a loving home. Being able to harness spiritual power also meant that she was officially able to advance, and she did. She built her 1. ¡®circle¡¯ when she was eight. This was three years earlier than her mother, and she was called a genius internally. But they kept it a secret and only tomorrow would this be announced. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. In truth, she isn¡¯t able to do this at all. To create a magic circle, you need a lot of knowledge. This wasn¡¯t an issue. The second was to have a strong affinity, having an ancient bloodline, she was able to hide her own natural affinity. But the effect of a circle was that there were spells she¡¯d be able to cast directly. Although the amount of spells depended on the number of circles, so a first circle had one direct spell, it was still impossible for her to do it as a witch. There is a reason why she was still able to succeed: her doppelg?nger bloodline! Her father had it too, and his branch ¡®thousand shadows¡¯ allowed him to control the shadows of many, of course not a thousand at this level, but still many. He was able to focus his strength to fully control a single few, but the rest were like wards that listened to the surroundings. From this, her own ¡®thousand eyes¡¯ is similar in that she¡¯s able to cast several eyes all around. With this ability, she¡¯s able to see far more than with only one pair of eyes. Combined with the natural ability of the Holle Eye to perceive fate and changes, her eyes are powerful. Although Ludwig knew by this that his bloodline became auxiliary, he was very happy about the benefit his daughter gained. But this wasn¡¯t the only ability ¨C no, Adele was also able to copy any ability she had seen and perceived with her Holle Eye. As long as it wasn¡¯t extremely difficult, she was able to fully copy it and occupy one ¡®eye¡¯. She didn¡¯t even need to extend spiritual power to activate it, since the eye was a container of spiritual power too. Most importantly, besides this, she finally walked down the path of prophecy. Among the many paths, prophecy was definitely one of the most sacrificial, difficult but also rewarding. Looking into the future has a certain cost, especially telling that future other people. Considering the high cost a prophet has to pay, they are rewarded extremely well whenever people ask for their abilities. The past ten years, she actually spent learning an extremely difficult ritual among the Aeon Witch inheritance. Her prophetic path was only officially her path, but additionally to that, she¡¯d continue to learn her real path, the time path. Luckily, the Aeon Witches are also extremely inept in prophecies. Similar to pharmacy, they are the second best at it. The reason here is somewhat different though. A certain ancestor of the Aeon Witches made a pact with fate. Lifespan was the most used consumable when prophesying, obviously time witches had more of it, but even if that was the case, they were still reluctant to give that up. Instead, the pact between the ancestor and the spiritual worlds fate laws said that as long as a witch is willing, she can sacrifice her mortal age in exchange for the lifespan she¡¯d have to sacrifice. Naturally it wasn¡¯t a one to one exchange, and more age would have to be used, but for time witches, their soul age was actually more important than their lifespan. This was the only reason this pact was finalised. Whether it is better or not¡ Adele actually thought that this might be because Aeon Witches had a way to age their soul without actually experiencing the years. Maybe the same way she gained her old age? Regardless, after ten years she finally learned the ritual. As for how to perform it¡ she found a different way to use her eyes. Rituals are just a huge combination of spells, intertwined together to strengthen each other and achieve what the caster wants to achieve. This was also the reason it took her so long to learn the ritual. Instead of performing the ritual normally, she instead separated the aspects of the ritual into many different spells. This was also why she had kept the actual number of her eyes hidden. She was able to grow ten eyes every year she lived ¨C her guess was that after a mortal lifetime, her bloodline would be fully grown. But instead of revealing this, she only said she¡¯d get one eye per year. Currently, she hid over eighty eyes in her room, five eyes are used to hide the fact that she didn¡¯t actually have a circle spell, and the remaining ten were spread around by her family for her to train her ability. They were mainly inside the mansion. Chapter 18 After the silent laugh, Friedrich became serious again. ¡°The emperor has announced at night that the war against the Kholodny Empire would become more active again.¡± ¡°Again? And why did he call for a meeting in the night?¡± Isabel asked. ¡°It seems that the empire had invaded into the lands of the Nordic Union, and they asked for our help. It seems that our situation of a cold war wasn¡¯t enough, giving them so much freedom as to attack a different country. Since we are allied with the Nordic Union, we will naturally help reduce the enemies they face.¡± ¡°Who will lead the attack?¡± Ludwig was also curious. After all, unlike the Holle Family Mansion that was southeast of the empire, the Trugbild Family Mansion was northeast and had close connections to the Nordic Union. After all, the Trugbild family carried the role of Foreign Affairs Minister for so long. From his guess, it was likely that the informants of the Trugbild family arrived before the request for help from the Union. ¡°A prince and several other royal family members will be sent by his majesty. The two grand duchies will send a ninth stage wizard or a knight each, while the five duchies have to sent a person of the high stage.¡± ¡°What did the family say?¡± ¡°They will send my cousin, Konrad the Vicious Eye.¡± ¡°Uncle Konrad?!¡± Isabel asked ¡°Isn¡¯t he¡ a practitioner of negative prophecies? But a war¡ isn¡¯t it too dangerous for uncle?¡± Friedrich sighed ¡°It seems that your uncle attempts to break through to the ninth stage with this¡ after all, unlike us, if his line doesn¡¯t actively produce prophecies, they won¡¯t advance. It can be said to be the disadvantage they gain for having strong offensive powers, which is uncommon for us who walk the path of prophecies.¡± ¡°Did uncle come to the city this time? Why don¡¯t we invite him and others that will leave for the war to my banquet today?¡± Adele asked in a soft voice. Isabel heard this and wanted to reject, but then she asked ¡°Are you sure? If we do this, then you will likely not be able to enjoy your birthday.¡± ¡°Mother, how can this be as important as war? After all, even if I don¡¯t invite them, most that will come will still talk about it. It¡¯s better to properly invite everyone than to hold more meetings afterwards. And¡ mother, isn¡¯t it common practice for us to make our first prophecy when we turn ten? I can feel¡ that fate is guiding me today. I thought it was because of my birthday, but maybe it¡¯s because of this.¡± Friedrich was surprised, while Ludwig was angry. He had learned of many customs of the family and firmly rejected them¡ but if he was honest, he knew very well the customs in his own family, in contrast, doing a prophecy at ten isn¡¯t bad at all. Although it would cost something, lifespan was only a cost for when you make large prophecies. It was usual to only prophesize something small and then become weak for a few weeks.Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. Support the author by seeking out the original. Looking at the firm look of her daughter, Ludwig didn¡¯t say anything, while Isabel finally accepted it ¡°In fact, you don¡¯t need to make a large prophecy. As long as you make one that is weaker and doesn¡¯t cost much, but is precise, then you will gain a lot of reputation this time.¡± The topic was concluded and the soon finished their breakfast. Although servants were all around, they had many seals on their whole body. Since the Holle bloodline was inept in sealing in exchange for a prophecy, they naturally were experienced in seals too. The highest servants even got prophecies and were marked with seals that are supported by the law of the spiritual world. ¡ Time passed and Adele got dressed up. It was a white long dress that resembled true nobility in any fashion. Frills seemed to grow out of everywhere, while she wore her purple necklace around her neck. She had asked for a copy of this necklace for her eight birthday, it was an artifact that was defensive, but definitely worse than her inheritance necklace. So instead, she wore her inheritance necklace and put the other necklace into the necklace¡¯s space¡ she would treat it as a gift of sort. Her skin was very pale and her hair was extremely white. It was even white than her mothers hair, who had a rather silver hue on her white hair. Pale skin and white hair were common characteristics of the Holle¡¯s, for a simple reason: these were the most obvious body changes that would happen when one loses lifespan. Since they have these characteristics in their blood, even when they perform a prophecy, it won¡¯t be obvious on their face. She looked into a mirror and her eyes turned from deep violet to a blank white too. There was a commonly used spell among the Holle family that had this effect, but since her bloodline allowed her to change it, there was no reason to learn that spell. As for why they used it¡ it was actually only cosmetical, and didn¡¯t change their ability at all, but it was proven that other people felt more relaxed under these eyes. After all, they all knew the story behind the purple eyes of the Holle. Well, most would be relaxed, as for the imperial power, grand duchies and duchies¡ they knew very well that these hidden eyes are much more vicious than when they are openly presented to everyone. A snake is the most dangerous when you don¡¯t know of their existence. When Adele looked at herself in the mirror, she still admired her beauty. Although her doppelg?nger bloodline mainly went towards the magical route, she still had a physical aspect and was able to subtly change her facial structure. With this, she changed her face to look just like a doll. From her previous ¡®life¡¯, she always felt that these innocent looking dolls were the most dangerous, and the many stories around them were similarly scary. So, feeling that a doll was the scariest existence, but also cold and indifferent, it was fitting to her. It was only when she was with her family that her facial expressions relaxed and she looked like a young child instead of a doll. Though her mother thought it was weird, her father told her that this behaviour was actually very common among the children of the Trugbild family, and it shouldn¡¯t be dismissed but even encouraged. Who knows how well her training is rewarded? One day she might even awaken more of her bloodline, and then shaping her whole body wouldn¡¯t be impossible. Although her ability would be weaker than others, after all, in a technical sense, Ludwig¡¯s bloodline also went towards the magical route, yet he was able to shapeshift very well. Adele left the room and came downstairs, waiting in front of the mansion with her mother for the guests that would arrive soon. Chapter 19 Isabel looked at her dolled-up daughter, and she felt that it wasn¡¯t so bad after all. In her eyes, her daughter was the most innocent person, the scary aspect didn¡¯t exist at all. Guests soon arrived. The first to arrive were naturally the lower ones. Barons, Viscounts and Counts were the first to arrive, then followed by the Marquises. Most of the lower ones had the family head attend directly, only the marquises had sent an important elder and explained their circumstances. Among the lower ones, most of the were vassals of the family. They couldn¡¯t possibly invite all barons ¨C that was impossible. Many of these barons didn¡¯t even possess land, their title was basically only because they were extraordinary people. So many of those were spread all around the empire, and so many of them would die every day. Finally, it was time for the truly important to arrive. The three guardian duchies, Guardian of the North the Schakal, Guardian of the West the Marder and Guardian of the South Luchs. All three of them are knight families with the ancestral bloodlines of the jackals, martens and lynx. Followed by this, there is the Grand Duchy behind the Marshal of the Empire, the Grand Duchy of the Wolf. They are also a knight family with the ancestral bloodline of wolfs. Then came the remaining two important families. The Trugbild Family with the bloodline of Doppelg?nger who holds the position of foreign affairs minister and has a knight bloodline, as well as the Recht family, holding the position of Chancellor, the highest position in the parliament, and are of the wizardly Forseti bloodline. Combined with the Holle¡¯s status as Inner Affairs Ministers, all important ministers and commanders have attended. Only after everyone arrived did a person with stark red hair and golden eyes come upon the entrance of the mansion. A prince of the imperial family of Barbarossa! When Adele heard this for the first time, she didn¡¯t know whether to believe it. After all, Barbarossa was a true person and not a myth like all the other beings¡ but she came a step closer to figuring out why all those mythical figures became reality. One thing is for sure, the myth of Barbarossa is that he is a sleeping king that will return when the country is in crises. It seems that he returned indeed, and even more than that, he made an empire and named the countries royal family after himself. She was only curious about the power of Barbarossa, from the records, she mainly knew that their power were like that of an land deity, they had absolute might in the empire and were able to enforce the rules and laws of the empire upon everyone that entered the official territory of the empire.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. They also have the biggest interest in expansion, after all, this meant that their power grew. It is for this reason that most other countries call the empire war mongers. Even though it had this bad reputation, the empire was also feared greatly, only equal powers were able to resist, and even they rarely won. It can be seen from the actions of the Kholodny Empire, attacking a side country instead of the Kran Empire itself. Adele and Isabel greeted everyone dearly, especially when the Trugbild representative came. He was a Ludwig¡¯s brother and also Adele¡¯s uncle. When he saw her, he instantly felt their bloodlines talk to each other, Adele even saw that this wasn¡¯t her uncle¡¯s true body. The two brothers could be called a mythical existence in the Trugbild family. Ludwig was ¡®thousand shadows¡¯ and his brother, Heinrich was ¡®thousand doubles¡¯. Both of them are revered to be the future of Trugbild, well, Ludwig was but isn¡¯t anymore. Only after the birth of Heinrich were the Trugbild truly willing to marry Ludwig away. Regardless, everyone entered the banquet and began to talk among themselves. After some time, Friedrich gave a short speech and then invited all seven important guests to come forward and enter the office on the second floor, while the lesser nobles below gathered around the marquises, who know slightly more than them. ¡ Inside the Office, seven guests as well as Friedrich, Isabel, Ludwig and Adele were present. In fact, when they saw Adele in the room, the representant of the Marder family, a female knight, smiled at her and asked her whether she wanted to wait outside. ¡°There is no need for this, after all, Adele has a present to all of you, and she is also at an age where learning of these things is good to her growth.¡± Hearing the word ¡®gift¡¯, all the family representatives looked curiously at the child, but no one said anything. Friedrich was the one to begin. He first bowed to the prince that came, then said ¡°Our family will send my cousin, Konrad. He hasn¡¯t arrived in the capital just yet so he can¡¯t attend unfortunately.¡± The knight of the Marder and the female wizard of the chancellor family frowned, while the prince smiled amusedly ¡°It seems that your family has ambitions in this war. To send Vicious Eye to the front line¡ I wonder who of the Kholodny commanders will suffer this time.¡± On the side, Heinrich nodded and said ¡°The Trugbild¡¯s representative in this war will cooperate with Vicious Eye. As for who we send¡ it¡¯s not been decided yet.¡± That¡¯s what he said, but everyone present knew that the person that was decided would probably be on their way to the frontlines at this point. They are the only that never needs to publicly announce their candidate. It¡¯s not that others had to do it¡ it¡¯s just common to tell each other in private, and it was seen as rude not to do it. Besides the Trugbild and Holle, all the others present were also the ones that would be marching towards the war, so they all sat down and listened to the front line reports of the Trugbild as they talked about their next steps for the war. In the presence of the Holle, if any plan of theirs was truly too dangerous, then fate itself would give the Holle a hint. After all, everyone present has reigned their territory for many years and they all accumulated a lot of good fortune, the Holle only had to play the role of a translator in this case, and the cost would be minimal on them, it would be the good fortune of others that is consumed instead. Chapter 20 As they kept talking, Adele looked at the faces of each single person deeply. She was currently using the knowledge she gained from her witchcraft inheritance. It included a physiognomy inheritance. Although it wouldn¡¯t tell her directly what would happen, it was a very vague way of looking into destiny, combined with her Holle bloodline and some exhaustion of her soul, she was at least able to get a hint towards whether there was something deeper she should investigate. This was better than using the ritual on every person. As they talked, hours passed and Isabel left the room at one point to send the guests away. She also asked Adele whether she¡¯d want to follow, but Adele said she¡¯d rather stay. In the end, when it has already become dark, they decided to adjourn their talk to the next day. That time, they would directly come to the office in the Holle family instead of attending a small banquet before. It was better to be sure than sorry, and since it wasn¡¯t something that would be kept a secret from them, having fate as an overseer was indeed the best option. Normally, holding the talks in either the imperial family or the two grand duchies would be enough, but considering that the Holle family was ready to possibly sacrifice an eight-circle prophet, they gave their respects. As they all left one by one, Adele looked at the prince and said ¡°Your highness, why don¡¯t you stay a bit longer? It would be very kind of you!¡± The prince looked at Adele and nodded slightly. Of course, everyone that left also left a gift for Adele, but she didn¡¯t pay that any mind. There was no current material gift that could satisfy her greatly, any that might were too high of a grade anyways, so she was fine with anything she got. Friedrich and Isabel were also curious, while Ludwig was sent out. The thing with fate was that the more people knew of it, the more it would cost the prophet. The presence of other prophets were still fine, and if they decided to spread it, the cost would fall upon them, but even if Ludwig was married to the Holle, he wasn¡¯t of Holle bloodline and would thereby never be allowed to be present in a prophecy. In fact, the little bit about prophecy Adele learned wouldn¡¯t normally be enough for her to do anything, but all high-ranking bloodlines also had bloodline inheritances that would awaken when they reach a certain age. Adele¡¯s bloodline awakened when she was only one, she only told those in the family when she was five, and even that was an age that was seemingly very early. Regardless, no one told her for the specifics. Other bloodlines operated differently, but a prophecy bloodline inheritance also involved a lot of fate. Not to mention whether you¡¯d be able to learn from the prophecy, just the inheritor himself would pay a great price to teach it to others.A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. The inheritance Adele only had extremely high-ranking spells, none of which she was able to cast just yet. She could only barely cast her ritual because rituals are in a sense ¡®large quantity brings qualitative change¡¯, while high spells require a lot of more soul strength and spiritual power. Adele looked at the prince. He was the seventh prince called Karl the ¡®Giant Sword¡¯. From the Trugbild records, which the Holle family was able to partially access, Adele learned that this man was able to create a huge sword with the help of the chants of others. She was curious about how this worked, but didn¡¯t look at it anymore and stretched out he hand as she said ¡°I need a curl of your hair and a drop of your blood.¡± Giving away your hair was one thing¡ but a drop of blood is normally extremely rare. In war, blood can be earned anyways, but the ¡®volunteer¡¯ giving of blood is a different matter ¨C like a door you either open with a crooked key, or a door with a key gifted by the owner. Although the first might also work, it is still unlikely and doesn¡¯t work as well as the other. Karl looked Friedrich behind Adele, when he saw that he said nothing, he finally agreed. After all, the reputation of the Holle family was truly great and they were the only prophetic family of their strength in the whole northern empire. It¡¯s not only the Kran Empire that seeks their prophecies, they are approached by everyone, even enemies! He plucked a curl of his hair and pointed his finger towards Adele. Without any movement, an extremely small cut seemed to have formed on his finger and a little red-gold drop of blood formed out. The moment it left the finger, the wound instantly closed up. The blood and curl flew towards Adele, landing in her hand. She then closed her eyes and activated the ritual in her room. The eyes all casted spells individually, but as the spells aligned more and more, they seemed to create a circle, a ritual. Ghastly power was flowing in the circle and the smell of an old ruin left it. When all spells were cast, a crack appeared above the centre of the circle. It extended a bit as an ethereal power escaped it. It was a small drop of water. The drop extended and took on the form of a mirror in the centre of the eyes. When it formed, light escaped it. It was absorbed by the many eyes, and one eye after another diminished until it cracked and dissipated. When only a single eye was left, the old air that was kept before was attracted by the mirror and fled into it. The mirror stabilised now and the last eye looked at it deeply. ¡ On the other side, when Adele cast the spell, the curl started burning. The drop of blood that was below it burned with it, until finally, the curl was fully burned. It took much longer than usual, but when the curl burned and the drop of blood was gone too, Adele¡¯s closed eyes seemed to shine. A purple light left her eyes and seemed to look into the depths, even her closed eyes didn¡¯t stop this illusion. She had to close her eyes because if she was to perceive too many things at one, the cost would be higher. Chapter 21 Finally, a minute later, the light dissipated and Adele opened her eyes a second later. She looked at the prince in front of her. He had a surprised expression in his eyes, only his face seemed to be calm. This was his first time experiencing prophecy, and he was greatly scared. When Adele¡¯s eyes shined, it was her bloodline helping her prophecy. At that moment, she gave off the strong energy of her pure bloodline. Being an ancient bloodline, even if Frau Holle only existed in myths, her power manifested in everyone that inherited her bloodline. With the origin of a myth in the spiritual world, their bloodline would naturally be extremely strong. When the Holle family used their powers, they connected to the field created by the myths of Frau Holle in the spiritual world. This is why so many ancient mythical beings weren¡¯t revived, but their bloodline still came to be ¨C their background is the spiritual world itself. Frau Holle is a prophetic myth, so the field dedicated to her is naturally the river of destiny. There are two most important rivers in the spiritual world, the River of Reincarnation and the River of Destiny, they are closely intertwined. Even if Frau Holle¡¯s field power isn¡¯t strong, the fact that her background is the river of destiny itself gives everyone that inherited her bloodline an advantage over those that have a lesser background. The Barbarossa bloodline is a special one, but it isn¡¯t connected to any of the Anchors of the spiritual world. Besides the two rivers, there are only three more anchors. They are the two mountain peaks, the ¡®Axiom Peak¡¯ where all laws of the spiritual world converge, as well as the ¡®Conflux Peak¡¯ where all elemental power gathers. Finally, there is the ¡®Void Sky¡¯ that spreads all over the spiritual world and connects the numerous worlds. So, when the River of Destiny¡¯s power was called upon the world by the Holle bloodline, Barbarossa only felt extreme fear. This is why, after so many years, even though the Holle family never breached the top and is weak in strength, no one dared offend them. For outsiders, offending the Holle family is worse than offending the Barbarossa family. So, what if you offend them? At most, you¡¯ll have war. The ones that suffer aren¡¯t them, it will always be the lower people. But if you offend the Holle family, then you won¡¯t know when and how you died. It might be a passing thunderstorm that coincidentally killed everyone in their family. No matter how strong they are now, all elements have a deep relation to the Conflux peak and have become extremely strong with the spiritual world. Adele took a deep breath as she looked at the prince and said ¡°It seems the prince will soon marry.¡±Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. The prince was surprised, but he also lost some awe over this. ¡°Is this all?¡± Adele sneered ¡°How can a prince¡¯s marriage be decided just like that, out of nowhere? If the prince doesn¡¯t know about this already, then this will obviously be a surprise. Prince, don¡¯t underestimate the prophecy! A royal marriage is always connected to politics. Regardless of who you marry, things will happen and it won¡¯t be peaceful.¡± She truly felt disdain for him when he acted like it wasn¡¯t much. Fifty years! Her soul age regressed by fifty years! And what she was is also true ¨C she wasn¡¯t sure who he would marry, but it would mean things were happening! She didn¡¯t think this prophecy would cost so much, which means that the marriage is definitely a bigger issue than they act it to be. The prince seemed to wake up from this and looked embarrassed. Seeing how Adele was much weaker and nearly passed out, it was obvious that the price she paid must be higher than he thought. Since that¡¯s the case, he has to take this serious and talk to his father about it. Although he was of a higher status, he stood up and bowed to Adele, then to her grandpa and her mother. Only then did he say ¡°I thank the Holle family for this gift! I will be sure to repay it generously! When the war starts, I will ensure that the Vicious Eye will be safe and sure and assist him in his endeavour!¡± ¡°I only how the prince can keep his promise and bring my uncle back safely.¡± After this, Adele was truly weak and couldn¡¯t move, so she fell into her mothers¡¯ arms who came from the side. Isabel looked at the prince sternly but didn¡¯t say anything and just carried her daughter away. She had also given prophecies. Just looking at her family, sixteen generations of family heads have passed. Only the extremely talented would become family heads at one point, most of them are only two hundred years old at that point. As a strong family, it¡¯s normal for a family head to have resources to live beyond a thousand years. After all, it would become more and more difficult as you get more lifespan, but at the early stages, it is still somewhat easy. This means that a family that should only have ten, at most eleven generations, had a total of sixteen! This was because together with the talent, the clan heads are often the most proficient in prophecy. Even if they are careful every time, so much was paid in the end, a total of six thousand years of lifespan was sacrificed by the family heads in total already. All these sacrifices were for important reasons, many times it was the empire benefitting. From this, one is able to see how much the empire owed the Holle family, even if the royal family had earned their position and are extremely stable in their rule, if one day a disaster comes and they aren¡¯t warned by the Holle family, doesn¡¯t this mean that they have no foundation to rule at all? This prophecy of Adele will be honoured much more once the prince who doesn¡¯t know it¡¯s importance just yet tells his father, the Emperor. Adele can only hope that her sacrifice will bring enough results. Helping her uncle? Although this was good, she had a different idea. It was to make the emperor owe her. In the whole northern continent, only the Holle family is able to make the emperor owe them something without him asking. After all, if he had to ask for a favour before owing it every time, then won¡¯t this mean the Holle family won¡¯t prophecies occasionally for them? Chapter 22 There are regular prophecies in the family, of course not by the family head. Once a prophecy points at the royal family, it will directly mean the royal family owes the Holle family. And if one day the emperor refuses to pay when they ask, well, the next time there is a prophecy, just keep it by yourself and let the emperor face the consequences. In this case, even though they knew and didn¡¯t warn, they won¡¯t be punished. The empire is special so even though the emperor will have a lifespan of a thousand years, he will only serve for three hundred. Then he will abdicate and become an elder of the family. They aren¡¯t even allowed to take governmental positions, after all, these are all occupied by the high nobles. Considering that most emperors are old people who have no possibility of advancing, most of them will be over six hundred years old and die not much after they abdicate. The emperor¡¯s position might be regarded as important in the eyes of the lower nobles, but neither the higher nobles nor the imperial family truly regards this position as admirable. Isn¡¯t it just a family elder than uses their last lifespan to serve as a public servant? The high nobles are basically their own emperor in their fief, so naturally the respect is less towards the emperor. It is only because the emperor represents the family behind him that they listen to him on larger matters and emergencies. Most of the time, the empire is basically self-governed by the ministers in parliament, the fiefs of nobles are their own property and they only have to follow the foundational laws of the empire, while the border military nobles have a kings authority in their region. The nobles in the empire all came from a liberal country with a strong sense of independence. It¡¯s fine to follow the general law, but even thousands of years before the spiritual world descended, there was never a case where a single ruler decided everything. At least not for long, when this was the case a few times, it quickly escalated. After experiencing this, who in their right mind would like this form of rule? When Adele first heard of this, she only had one thought: the empire is a paradise for the higher nobles and common people. The high nobles reign their power with nearly unlimited freedom, while the common people enjoy a good set of foundational laws. All these laws were humanitarian, even their title ¡®Basic Rights¡¯ makes people understand their importance. The ones that suffer are the middle and lower nobles. You can live a happy life as a common person, but when you awaken, you basically have no opportunity to become a noble. A knight has no land, it is rare for barons to own land, a viscount and count may have land but they are just vassals of the higher nobles and have to follow their laws.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Only when you become a marquis are you able to have some independence, you will only have to pay tribute to the nearest duchy for ¡®giving a good play to grow¡¯. But the land you own will have to be conquered by yourself. At least you get land assigned to you as you grow as a noble under the reign high nobles until you are a count, but once you are a marquis, you should be happy if your master doesn¡¯t take his land back. The steps for nobility are simply too high! A seventh circle for viscount, eight circle for count and ninth circle for marquis. There were cases where a marquis became a duke! When the marquis family grows for a long time and becomes stable and has a long inheritance, they become duchies. Yet Adele knew for a fact that all current duchies and above existed for as long as her soul. There is a simple explanation for this: all these duchies ceased to exist at one point. Regardless of how strong you become, even if you get the title, you won¡¯t be able to get a position in the higher circle. The four directions of borders are occupied by the military nobles, the parliament is occupied by a grand duchy and two other duchies¡ these new dukes would basically become the dogs of both sides. After such hard work, you will only become a dog. It¡¯s no surprise that many of these duchies take great risks to gain power, but all of them failed. Looking at the Holle family, they are just a duchy! There are two grand duchies above and an imperial family above them. The two duchies in the parliament have to huddle together for warmth and strength, even if they are respected, they still need strength to fight for benefits. They can¡¯t possibly sacrifice every time they want something. This would be too disastrous to the family. How many family heads would be given up in that case? The three military duchies don¡¯t feel relaxed either ¨C they defend the border! How could a single noble family defend a border to a different country? They have to rely on the parliament for resources and on the nobles for soldiers. If one day, they go to war, they are also the ones that are at the biggest risk. The grand duchy to the east is still fine, after all, with their strength, they can demand things. But the three duchies don¡¯t have this right. They can only do their own politics and ally themselves with the different factions to gain what they need. In this situation, the chancellor is the most relaxed! He has the highest power in the parliament. It was only because of the outer and inner minister that he had to work hard. The inner minister has the highest power among the nobles, while the outer minister plays an extremely important role for the military nobles. It¡¯s because of this that the Holle Trugbild alliance was able to become the fourth faction besides the two grand duchies. The imperial power only has to ensure the balance between these three factions is kept, to let the empire prospers. Only in war times will the imperial family become active. If it wasn¡¯t because the empire is a war monger, people might forget the imperial family exists. Adele, in her rest, calculated her next steps. Although her current progress was good and she was learned a lot about the empire, she also saw that there wasn¡¯t much change in anything. Chapter 23 There is another important reason why witches are hated. Witches benefit greatly from the spiritual world, naturally they have to pay for these. All the previous things they paid could be said to be the reduced price. The real reason why they are hated is because they have to create chaos. At least, they have to ensure the whole spiritual world is never in a state of stagnation. In exchange for many benefits, the witches had to become a war monger and peace maker. When there is stagnation, quickly create chaos to cause wars. When there is too much chaos, quickly make peace. This was their responsibility. When someone wishes to become a witch, they need the talent to become a witch. This talent is extremely rare, almost non-existent. One can see that from all the billions of humans alive, only Adele was a natural witch at that time. There is a higher change of someone with an extremely strong soul being born than a natural witch being born. But the strong soul can choose any path, why choose the difficult path of a witch? With the responsibility the witches gained, the spiritual world also gave it more benefits. As long as there is a period of stagnation, the world would give newborns at random a talent for witchcraft. Of course even if the chance is higher, there are still too few born this way. But there is a bigger benefit. Witches got their own Origin law. Origin Law is the law behind bloodlines, the real name is Blood Origin. There are two manifestations of the Origin law: the Blood Origin and Soul Origin. The Witch Origin is a branch of the Soul Origin. Anyone who had awakened the witch path, regardless of whether it¡¯s natural, or whether they chose it own their own, or whether they were witches in their past life. As long as you once stepped on this path, you will always be connected to it with the Soul Origin. It is mainly because of this talent that the witches took the responsibility. They knew that with this, all witches would become very unified. Although every strong man likes independence, knowing that this witch next to you will be your companion forever, at most in a different lifetime, they will naturally treat their likes better. This is the reason why the witch coven is possible in the first place. So many different factions put together, yet they only argue but there is no chaos. It¡¯s ironical to say that the ones that cause the most chaos are the most peaceful among themselves. After all, imagine you kill a witch in this lifetime. When she is strong in her next lifetime and regains her memory, won¡¯t she hunt you down? Instead of this hassle, it¡¯s better to just be peaceful and not interact in this lifetime. They can resolve their conflict in the next life. As a natural awakener, Adele doesn¡¯t need to take the oath for the witch coven. Her soul was also changed so much by the necklace, that even if she didn¡¯t have the talent before, by now, her talent would¡¯ve awakened too.If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. In fact, she also had a guess. Even if ten thousand years of sleep is a lot, she didn¡¯t actually wake up right away. Many years passed after she awakened. If this wasn¡¯t the case, how would she dare to have her soul regress by fifty whole years? No, her soul was older than this, but it was a too large number, so she didn¡¯t know exactly. She only guessed that it was likely the world that woke her up, not her achieving a milestone. This also means that the world knew of her crossing a loophole but kept her like this, clearly giving her the time to grow and wait until she is needed. The world has entered the third era. The first era, only a short time of around seven hundred years, was called the ¡®Awakening Era¡¯. It was after the spiritual world descended. This long time was when many people gained inheritances and became strong. The era ended when the various territories were finally decided and the world entered a peaceful time. The second era was several thousand years long. It started when the first person crossed the sealing of the ninth stage and became a god. Before this god was able to seize the golden time and conquer the world, other gods ascended. Based on this, several different god-factions rearranged the territory. The stronger conquered more, the weaker retreated. This war took many years to be solved, called the ¡®God Ascension¡¯ initially, then the ¡®God Fall¡¯ later. Some countries, even after becoming a god faction, fell and new order was brought. This era once again ended when the wars between the gods stopped. After all, becoming a god came with the expectation of living forever. Several of them died, causing fear among the gods. When the gods stopped, the other wars gradually ceased to be. Because of this, one might think that it was a time of stagnation. But this is the third era, two thousand years have passed, and it seemed that many countries became active in war once again. Adele didn¡¯t think this is stagnation, but she wouldn¡¯t have been called at this time, it¡¯s too soon for her to be a peace maker. From the records she read, at least a few centuries should have passed in this war before the witch coven would have a surge in new witches. Witches are called peace makers because once they attempt talks, the people know that the spiritual world has given a command. Although the spiritual world isn¡¯t an entity nor is it conscious, the laws and regulations of the spiritual world are like a huge computer that ensures the prosperity of the spiritual world. War and Peace have to go hand in hand for great prosperity, the witches are its agents in this. Naturally even if the witches want war or peace, people don¡¯t have to listen. The consequence are that the laws of the spiritual world will slowly reject them, but delaying for a bit until they are satisfied is fine. After all, they don¡¯t reject the spiritual worlds idea of war and peace. After going so far, they have a good vision of the world and naturally know why the spiritual world behaves the way it does. It''s only that the spiritual world is the spiritual world and factions are faction. So, what if a faction falls and another grows? To the spiritual world, it¡¯s the same thing, but to the factions, this is vastly different. Their only fear is that when they delay too much, it will be the witches that hunt them before the world does. After all, as agents, the witches will also be rewarded for fulfilling the will of the world. Once this faction that goes against the rules of the world is destroyed by the witches, the faction will be eaten up by other big and small factions and quickly fill the hole. Chapter 24 Another five years passed. The Vicious Eye of the Holle family had arrived in the capital on the third day after Adele¡¯s birthday. With this, the people that would take the lead in this battle arrived. They didn¡¯t stay long and left a few days after. Adele¡¯s family had already contributed greatly, no one asked her of her sacrifice nor any deeper about the prophecy. These were things that were not only private, but also dangerous to know. They knew not to play with fate. Just knowing that the family contributed before anyone else, made other families contribute a bit too internally, such as resources for the war. The nobles might only need to send a high ranking fighter, but resource and lower soldiers had to be sent regularly, especially now. After these few things, Adele¡¯s family became quiet again. She would see more people visiting her parents, some even had the intention of visiting her, but they were blocked by her parents and her grandfather. After all, even if they didn¡¯t knew the cost, they could imagine it wasn¡¯t low. Burdening a child with this so early is definitely wrong. Adele took this time to learn witchcraft and read the records regarding her situation. In all this time she finally learned proper time witchcraft and other things, such as simple pharmacy and rituals for various uses. Today, she was in her room, alone. It was still early, but all adults in her family had left. They were all busy with many things, especially now that the war progressed. She looked around, then calmed herself and closed her eyes. Slowly, a seal formed in front of her and the eyes cast spells one after another. This time, the crack opened larger and more power of time flowed out. Then, another crack opened, and stabilised somewhat above the ritual. Adele kept her eyes shut, purple energy flowed out as she said ¡°By the pact of the Witches with the Demons of Hell, I summon thee, spirit of time and prophecy!¡± Her voice, in addition with a piece of her soul that carried her intention flew into the crack. ¡ On the other side, many demons looked at the crack in the sky. The demons had pacts with witches, and summoning a spirit from hell wasn¡¯t uncommon for time witches. Of course there were also pacts with other places, but for Aeon Witches, this was actually the best place. After all, Hell was one of the places where many souls and spirits with an extreme old age resided.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. When the demons looked at the crack, they didn¡¯t think much of it, until the soul and intention flew with it. The lower demons didn¡¯t think there was any worry, but the higher demons felt fear. The fear came from their knowledge. When the soul crossed, they were able to feel the age. These low demons might think that this was just an old soul, but they knew in fact what it meant for a time witch to be so old. Aeon witches became stronger with age, and this one, over ten thousand years old, would be extremely powerful. Although they knew that the other side has weak spiritual power, they didn¡¯t dare underestimate. They were old and knowledgeable and from their experience, as long as a witch crossed the thousand years threshold, there was no way for them to fully kill her. And what if this was a trap by the witch? Not all demons were cunning and treacherous, but all of them knew how that kind would always make you suffer when they suffer. Then they listened to the intentions of the witch. A time witch can summon a spirit that is at most ten times older than her, most witches would summon a spirit at a thousand years old, so the spirit would be around ten thousand years old. But in Adele¡¯s case, the spirit could be over a hundred thousand years old! And her requirement was exactly this. Such an old spirit, but his strength had to be very weak. The demons could understand. A summon would consume resources of the witch, and time witches had to pay in time, the age of their soul, to be specific. They had to pay based on the strength of the spirit. Most of them wanted old souls with weak strength. The demons looked around. Only the old ones were fitting, but they were all too strong. They could only wait. It took a lot of time, until a dark purple string floated from below the ground of the hell. This meant that this thing came from a deeper position in hell! There were nine levels of hell, and this was the eight level of hell ¨C Fraud! There was only a single level below, Treachery! It was extremely rare for anyone to summon a creature from there. In addition, they heard the witch say that it should be a spirit of time and prophecy. This meant that the witch likely prophesised the right time for her ritual. When the string approached the crack, the piece of soul inspected it and asked ¡°What are you?¡± The soul was only able to see that this spirit in the form of a string was extremely old, older than she could see and that it had the energy of strong prophecy. The string looked at the soul and said ¡°I am the spirit of the Threads of Wyrd.¡± When Adele¡¯s soul heard this, it was extremely surprised ¡°How come you are in hell, and even come from the ninth level of treachery?¡± The thread that was gliding softly in the wind moved around and seemed to become cold and stiff ¡°They are weak! Weak traitors who only know how to weave and watch. I see your Origin, Aeon Witches and Frau Holle? Holle¡ I heard of this in the past years. A local prophecy goddess from your world? Hah! What a joke! Even a local goddess dares to look at destiny as she wishes, yet these three¡ they dare not even raise their hands, open their mouths or stand up! I am willing to become your spirit. Witches, right? You have always been extremely wilful. Calling yourself the agents of the spirit world, but in fact, don¡¯t you all play what you want and are just good at changing the situation into your favour? How many gods you have killed, yet the spiritual world never punished you for being excessive. If only they had a bit of your independence!¡± Chapter 25 The soul looked at the thread. Although it talked so much and was extremely old, in fact, the thread was weak. From what Adele understood, this thread was the spirit of the Threads of Wyrd, the threads woven by the Norns. They represent inevitability, a wilful spirit and thought such as this would never be accepted by the Norns. They likely judged it had betrayed the intention of the artifact, separated it from the other threads and threw it into the deepest level of hell. ¡°What is it that you wish? Revenge?¡± The thread wiggled as if to laugh ¡°Revenge? What do I need this for? Against them? They will only say that it was inevitable to happen and knew it would happen when they threw me down here. No! I want to change fate! The River of Destiny is in the form of a river because it¡¯s winding! Although the end will always be the same, changing destiny is the path of gods! No god is born, and no mortal has the fate of godhood! I wish to change fate! As long as you promise you will weave your own fate, and you will influence the spiritual world to a part, weaving fate to be the way you wish, I will comply and become your lifelong companion! But when you become a weak slave of destiny, I will leave you too!¡± The soul of Adele laughed out loud ¡°Following fate? Becoming a slave? HAH! You have been in hell for too long. We witches might be called agents, but in the times immemorial, we have been the ones to change fate! Fate is only a part of the spiritual world. One could say that the River of Destiny and the Witch Coven are competitors in what they do. The day the witches comply fate is the day the Witch Coven collapses!¡± The thread moved greatly in the air and seemed to be extremely joyful, then it formed a circle and the inner threads came together, forming a ritual. ¡°I, Spirit of the Threads of Wyrd, accept the summon of the Aeon Witch!¡± Spiritual power all around became denser and the soul looked at the thread carefully then a seal in the depths of the soul shined brightly ¡°I, the Noble with Thousand Eyes, Adele von Holle, Nobilitas, accept the contract!¡± Then she thought. To finish the summon, she had to give the spirit a name. Many spirits had their own names and this step could be skipped, but clearly this spirit was separated from the threads before even gaining a name. So she thought deeply, then used her eternal name seal once again and said ¡°From this day henceforth, you shall be called ¡®Mutabilis, the mutability of fate¡¯! The thread heard this and seemed extremely satisfied. Then it followed the soul and entered the left hand of it, forming an intricate symbol. The soul looked down at the many demons. The demons hadn¡¯t heard the summoning ritual just now, it was protected by the spiritual world to ensure the privacy. She only looked at the demons, and said a simple word ¡°I hope to summon many of you soon. The world isn¡¯t chaotic enough, it would be a pity to stay in hell all the time.¡±If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. When the demons heard this, the lower ones became excited, while the higher ones became fearful. They immediately gathered together. Although they weren¡¯t the mightiest in this stage of hell, they were strong. Based on the power of the soul, they were likely the ones to be summoned in the future, even if it was later than the lower demons. Although they were able to reject it, no one of them wanted. They just talked among each other to make preparations. ¡°Does anyone of you know where the portal came from? I didn¡¯t sense any familiarity, so it¡¯s not a world I have been to.¡± All the others reacted the same. An older demon that gave off a strong energy said slowly ¡°This is likely a new world that had connected to hell. Even if it had connected to it before, it wouldn¡¯t have reached the eight level. The witches have a special pact with us demons and are able to enter up to the eight level of hell to summon us, but others aren¡¯t the same. But for the soul to connect to us, the Hell of Fraud¡ it seems that the world she lives in will soon fall into war.¡± A different demon seemed dissatisfied with the pact and the behaviour of witches, but most demons present refuted what he said. ¡°Hah! If only witches were more radical! Aren¡¯t they the ones that always stop the wars they started just when it becomes interesting! It¡¯s really annoying with them. When they start a war, it¡¯s best to be among the first to be summoned and quickly take what you can. If you are unlucky, you will be summoned right before the war stops!¡± Most demons agreed on this. After all, the demons and hell were known of their love of chaos, they thrived in war, even the ones that aren¡¯t from the levels of Wrath and Violence. It could even be said that the most fraud is done in peacetimes! But after all, they are rarely summoned during such times, and it¡¯s difficult to leave hell without a summon. They are a special existence in the spiritual world, if the gates of hell opened fully, it must mean that the spiritual world is going to enter a truly chaotic era. ¡ Adele looked at the thread floating in front of her. Her soul acted independent of her just now, but when it floated back into her just now, she gained all the memories and the thread connected with her soul, the seal was completed, and now it came out, looking at her. ¡°Mut is a good nickname, don¡¯t you think?¡± The thread looked at her and asked ¡°Does it have a meaning?¡± ¡°It indeed does. It means bravery. I lived in an age where the myths were entertainment. Reading them in the past time to laugh about the bad behaviour of the gods, mocking the villains for their stupidity and complaining about the heroes for their lack of morals. That was the age when we didn¡¯t even know whether they existed. But you, unlike us, lived right next to the gods. And even in that time, you still stood up to gods and rejected their ideas and their values. Asking the Norns to do more than weave the inevitable fate. I wonder, when that happened, did you know that the Norns would lose all their might and die if they dared defy fate? After all, every god has their own characteristic when they ascend, the Norns¡ could never defy fate, it is simply impossible.¡± The thread vibrated in the air ¡°I knew them before!¡± Adele laughed out loud ¡°Haha! Then they are truly funny. There is no bloodline of the Norns in this world, other prophetic bloodlines do exist¡ but the only place with the possibility of having this is too weak to summon any more bloodlines. After so many years, they haven¡¯t done it, maybe it¡¯s a lack of strength, maybe it¡¯s disdain of the Norns.¡± Chapter 26 Adele looked at the thread and then said ¡°But you do know, regardless of their image, they aren¡¯t as pure as you make them to be?¡± The thread was confused and made a ? shape. ¡°Their kind of prophecy doesn¡¯t require them to be widely known. It¡¯s one thing if all those higher ups of similar strength know them, but look at me¡ no, look at the mortals outside, even better, visit the Nordic Union. They are known everywhere to the mortals and symbolise inevitability. Mut, it seems you weren¡¯t with them for a long time to truly know their colours, so I will tell you. Regardless, looking at how weak you are, I would be surprised if you were allowed to stay with them even a single day longer. These Norns are very cunning. Tell me, in all the myths I know, aren¡¯t the heroes and other figures visiting them always looking for an answer? Don¡¯t they also have to pay an extremely high price? Don¡¯t look at the gods stronger than them, even they had to suffer, such as hang themselves from the world tree or give up a physical part of their body, of their divine body. Rather, look at the lower figures. These are the key to why the Norns publicised their ability to see the past, analyse the present and spin the future. The strongest of them is naturally the future, this has to do with the laws of destiny, even if it¡¯s said they are equal in strength many times. You know that the way to master a law is to fulfil everything about it, and the Norns master the inevitability of fate. Past choses your target, Present baits them and Future drains them. Fate isn¡¯t inevitable in the first place, else the law they have wouldn¡¯t be called Inevitability Law but the greater Destiny Law. But, the biggest price of being told the fate by the Norns is that your fate will become inevitable. They spin the fate they want, although it is often said that they only show the future, the future is split into thousands of possibilities. They only need to choose the most suitable for them and then tell the requester of this. Even if you ignore the ones that directly give up, what about the ones that take this fate with the idea of challenging it? Before, it wouldn¡¯t be difficult, no fate is determined from the beginning but follows the laws of cause and consequence. This changes upon knowing the prophecy ¨C the inevitability law will place a seal upon the prophecy.¡± Adele shook her head. She disliked this when she read about this in the witch records. After all, she had become half a prophet and should know the background. She looked into all the prophets known in the mythology of the world.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. For this, she can only be thankful. The Aeon Witches are also called the stewards of time, they record any changes in the world since time immemorial. They are truly keystones in the Witch Coven. Regardless of Adele¡¯s corruption by the necklace, she began to appreciate her background more and more. On the other side, Mut, who had just heard this, seemed to contemplate. He was confused ¨C why did the Norns throw him away if they were this cunning in the first place? Then he realised, it didn¡¯t change anything that they are cunning. Don¡¯t they still follow the law of inevitability? His core was destined to be against this, the true name ¡®Mutabilis¡¯ is truly fitting for him and stabilised his core even more. He spins the fate he wants, forcing fate into his direction. Even if there was no possibility of one thing happening in the future of those he spins, he will spin it to be possible. He is vastly different, even the fate he spins will not be fixed, it will still be changeable. Although this might seem to be a disadvantage, it also means that Mut¡¯s ability isn¡¯t to spin a fixed fate but change fate into a certain direction and then let it flow loose. For many people, this might be bad. But for witches who always create chaos, this couldn¡¯t be a better ability. When she thought of this, Adele calmed down and thought. In the past 5 years, she gradually learned the reason for what kind of chaos she is supposed to create. The spiritual world wants a continuous chaos instead of a chaos that is temporary with the intention of ending it one day, or worse, a monopoly of any party. And the party that is taking the monopoly is currently the human race. Regardless of their conflicts, they can all combine together to kill the monsters, currently the monsters are like a farm that is farmed by the humans as long as they can¡¯t expand their hands to other worlds to farm there. Once this is possible, they will kill all the monsters. Monsters refer to all non-human in the current world, and in the greater world it refers to any non-sentient race. Generally, the use of the word monsters is rare in the spiritual world because any race that is at a high stage gains sentience, it is rather used to describe the beings that wander in the void sky. The real monsters on earth are beasts, they are a rather large faction in the spiritual world, but their number of higher beings is small, since they don¡¯t have high sentience since birth like intellectual races such as humans, elfs, dwarfs, vampires, werewolfs, gnomes, and more. Adele¡¯s mission, as she interpreted from the records, is to help the beast race. Apparently, they are suppressed too much in this world and if it goes it, they are likely to stop existing in any form besides mounts in the current timeline of the world. She had to help the beast race, and in parts it would probably also be useful to help non-human races. From the records in her family, she actually learned that there were other races, she was just not sure about their existence, at least she didn¡¯t have access to records of a higher level. Generally, her rights reached the records on a superficial historical basis, and only when it comes to their ability of prophecy, can she read more information. Chapter 27 Adele looked at Mut and then changed her plan slightly. She moved around her eyes and changed the spells contained in them. Regardless, all these spells of rituals are more theoretical and have a lower learning rate than true spells since they can¡¯t exist outside of rituals, she had a good memory and could remember a lot. It took her several hours and it wasn¡¯t until night that she finished. If it was on normal days, her parents would interrupt her, but her mother and grandfather were also prophets, so naturally they knew just by coming close to her room that fate was converging. On the count of prophecies, Adele actually paid a lot in the past times she performed, especially the summoning of Mut costed her a hundred years of soul age. The reason for this is that as one¡¯s age becomes older, the cost of anything soul age related becomes lower and lower. Every thousand years it would shrink by ten percent, and after ten thousand years, the cost would be reduced to one percent, this is the minimum cost and can¡¯t be reduced no matter any other try. Because of this, the cost she had to pay was very low even though she summoned something like Mut, which should be beyond her capacity. The same is true for the prince, such a high level of prophecy should be near impossible on her stage if she didn¡¯t somehow receive the guidance of fate, but that would mean the prince is a child of fate. She knew in fact that this wasn¡¯t possible, the world wasn¡¯t at the point where it had to produce a child of fate to save itself, only rarely does the river of destiny produce any. Others didn¡¯t know it as well as she did, but they thought similarly, just pushing the blame to Adele¡¯s high concentration of her Holle bloodline. Till now, she was still beyond ten thousand years of soul age, but her next move would cost her a lot. From calculations, she was very sure that it would cost her a thousand years, but it was a special type of prophecy. Once she finished, she summoned Mut, who was floating around her room. Although it wasn¡¯t blocked of anything in the whole time in hell, any place would be bland if you spend thousands of years there, and it could barely move up one level after so long. ¡°Mut, with the name I gave you and your background, I assume you can spin fate?¡± ¡°That is indeed so, but I can¡¯t spy into the river of destiny, you have a stronger ability in this regard.¡± ¡°No, since you don¡¯t wish to follow fate, knowing it will only restrict you, like the silk spun by the Norns. As long as you can spin fate, doesn¡¯t that mean that any fate spun by you is an irregularity outside the control of fate? Although you can¡¯t defy fate and most likely won¡¯t ever be able to, you can open up more possibilities and enhance the chances of these possibilities. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. There is a ritual in my inheritance that is called ¡®Self-Fulfilling Prophecy¡¯. As long as I perform this prophecy and give an amount of sacrifice of my own with a certain maximum, I will be able to create a prophecy and a restriction upon fate. As long as I fulfil a major part of the prophecy itself, fate will be forced into this direction. Normally I wouldn¡¯t be able to perform this without a material that can function as the foundation of the restriction, but if you spin fate slightly and materialise the fate, I will be able to perform the ritual.¡± Mut on the other side seemed shocked hearing it. ¡°You wish to spin your own fate, one you created on your own, make it a restriction upon the fate of this world, and then fulfil it? HAHAHA!¡± It laughed somewhat maniacally but also satisfiedly, then it came into position and made a laying 8 shape, like the symbol for infinity, and signalised it was ready. Adele¡¯s eyes were glowing at this moment, fate was converging towards her and she recited an extremely long spell. The maximum she could put into this prophecy would be a thousand years of soul age. The reason for this was to limit the stronger witches and ensure they don¡¯t break the rules too much, even the spiritual world didn¡¯t want this. She thought of various things and finally reduced her ideas two three points. The first point is the most intense, it is the fall of the Church of the Free Bird. This church was mainly based on the northern continent and had a large influence into the Conquesta Empire, Albion Kingdom and the Kholodny Empire. It is said that this church originated in the Kran empire but was split for inexplicable reasons. Adele had a different reason for her hate. Although there was a limit on how many top inheritances a new world would receive, and also a limit on the number of inheritances from single organisations, this limit was mainly imposed on the high ranking inheritances. Lower ranking ones are spread somewhat widely, and although there are also limitations on how many witches can come to be and how many can be born with witch talent, it is impossible for her to be the only one. At least the inheritance should go towards the high rank, it wouldn¡¯t be able to go beyond this, but it is expected that there should be a god figure even without the inheritance for this among the witches, yet there isn¡¯t even any record of them existing at all. A bit of research revealed it to Adele: the Church of the Free Bird, like any organisation in the spiritual world that cultivated Priesthood, hunted witches. They did so extremely widely and on the northern continent, there wasn¡¯t a single one remaining. There were two more priesthoods in this world as far as Adele knew, one in the eastern continent and one in the southern. It is very likely that they all acted together and in a combined force hunted all the witches. In truth, the Priesthood hates all of the six other paths of Witchcraft, Knighthood, Wizardry, Immortality, Technology, and Shamanism. The reason it hates the witches so much is that they are the ones that influence them the most. Even their competitor, Shamanism, the only other path that focuses on faith, still has to win believers over, while the chaos produces by the witches are the reason an extremely large number of believers lose faith in a short time. Adele knew that there must¡¯ve been other witches, and of these few witches, none survived. The influence of the necklace went deep into her soul and changed her wholeheartedly, she didn¡¯t detest it at all. For her, it was like a rebirth, and this rebirth changed her from a Human to a Witch. Of all the paths, it is Witches and Immortals that have the largest detachment from their original race, and Adele felt closer to witches than humans, by far. In fact, the only humans she accepted in her heart were her family, but the will of independence in a witch is greater than a human¡¯s wish of society. Chapter 28 Adele¡¯s will was pushed into the ritual. Mut, in the centre, felt it and was shocked. Even he was able to feel the presence of a godhood behind this church. As one that hasn¡¯t reached that level, how couldn¡¯t he feel fear? Adele¡¯s confidence mainly comes from her origin as a witch, with a heart full of arrogance that could reach everything. A pamphlet materialised from the silk spun by Mut an flowed in the centre. Looking at it and reading ¡®Fall of the Church of the Free Bird¡¯, Adele was very satisfied. The other two aren¡¯t as high sounding, she simply chose the rise of one beast clan to godhood and one non-human race to godhood. With these few words, her pamphlet finally finished with the three points. All three of them would bring chaos to the human world. Now, she looked at the pamphlet, then she spread her hands and pushed them towards it. Her body changed. One lifetime, she became older. Two lifetimes, she reached middle age. Three lifetimes, she looked like a senior. ¡ Tenth lifetime, she finally regained her previous look. Still the timeless pale look with a height of 1.65m, she looked like an oversized doll. She also felt that her time affinity was reduced by a large margin, a whole ten percent fell off, and from now on she would become weaker. Half of the power went into the first point, the beast godhood gained four fifths, and the non-human godhood gained one fifths. It was simply because she thought that the first two might be more difficult than the last. After all, any non-human race that lived for so long shouldn¡¯t be far from it and only a slight push would change the situation, while there were several beast gods and it was simply impossible for fate to gather with just a slight push. Although she aged, the pamphlet finally formed and flowed towards her. She looked at it with joy, then went to the side. This much movement of fate had to have gathered the attention of many factions, and she had to move fast before her involvement would be too large. For this, she wrote a letter. It only had one line ¡®Chaos will descent into the northern continent, the rise of the Kran Empire isn¡¯t far away.¡¯ In fact, she didn¡¯t say this, but none of her prophecy would directly affect the empire, nor would her future plans. A country that isn¡¯t affected by chaos will become the third party in an argument between two, so naturally it would benefit. The second reason for her doing so is naturally to create a bit more chaos. The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Then, she looked at the pamphlet, asked Mut for one string and sealed it together. Lastly, she wrote another letter and asked for another strand, both times the string would seal the content as long as it was attached to something and ensure secrecy. She walked out of her room and looked at the three figures of her family in front of them. When she went out, she was in full attire with a square white suitcase, a large puffy white dress, a little hat and silky white gloves. With her looks, she seemed like a real doll that would go out into the world. In fact, she wanted to grow¡ but she knew she was at her limit already. She looked at the three people outside and took out the pamphlet. Before anyone could say anything, she pushed the pamphlet towards her mother, the string instantly connected it and the pamphlet disappeared into Isabel¡¯s soul. Then she took the paper and gave it to her father, the same happened. Her grandfather didn¡¯t seem to remember the two actions at all and he still had a worried face, while both her parents were shocked. Finally, she gave the letter that was sealed to her grandfather. ¡°Grandpa, could you deliver this to our family? This is my prophecy and only great grandpa will be able to confirm it, if he doesn¡¯t have this letter as a medium, he will suffer greatly.¡± Her grandfather seemed confused but he agreed and left the scene. She looked at her parents and her eyes became a bit teary ¡°Mother, Father, I love you both to the end of the world. But, you may have seen the irregularity of me, and I won¡¯t hide it anymore. I have lived a happy life, but it is time for me to leave. I won¡¯t forget my identity and will come back one day¡ but it will be long. Mother, I have given you a pamphlet of fate, it includes the true course and is more detailed than the letter I gave grandfather. Anyone that divines in this direction will pay a price and you will be able to advance faster with it, as long as one point is fulfilled, you will advance greatly. Although you won¡¯t be able to see the content just yet, later on it will be easier for you. Father, this paper includes an ancient summoning method of a shadow demon. The Trugbild family should have something similar for the Doppelg?nger. As long as you combine both methods, you might condense a different race and take position. Unlike the Holle family, there are real devils on the side of demons, and without creating something new, it will be difficult. As for grandfather¡ he will gain the fate of a messenger, as long as mother advances, he will become an eternal figure and messenger of fate. These are my repayments for all you have done. Please don¡¯t refuse them, if I don¡¯t give back, mother¡ you will also know that my destiny will be locked with the Holle and Trugbild family, which I can¡¯t accept.¡± Both her parents were teary, of course they weren¡¯t blind, regardless of this, they loved her. But now seeing her part, it saddened them, especially cutting the fate between them and her. They thought this before they knew what she meant, and if her methods are true¡ then their families and them will have a dependant fate between them, it will change the structure. Even though that¡¯s the case, they didn¡¯t reject it. Parents will care for their children when they are young, and children will care for their parents when they are old. This doesn¡¯t change anything between them, they are only saddened she will leave, but since she promised to come back, there was nothing wrong to let her leave, even though she¡¯s only fifteen years old this year. Chapter 29 Isabel looked teary at her daughter but nodded and took out a wooden box from her ring. When she opened it, Adele saw a sigil, the sigil of the Holle family and five cards. The currency of the spiritual world ranged from copper to silver and gold coins, then to red cards and purple cards. They are formed by the spiritual world and any godhood can condense these, they converge spiritual power and law power, their uses are wide and if one has enough of them, one can even use powers on the level of godhood. The five cards in the box were purple. ¡°Please don¡¯t reject these. Although I know you have savings, these will help you in difficult times. They are the inheritance of our family line and you would have earned them regardless. This sigil not only shows you identity, it also includes a list of all powers that owe our family a favour of fate. With this as identification, you can request this favour.¡± Adele was also teary and took it into her hand, then it disappeared into her purple necklace, the only colour on her body. Her father on the same was the same, he also took a wooden box, but this time it only had a dark sigil, not with the inscription of the Trugbild family. He smiled at her and explained ¡°This is the membership of Shadow Gate, the highest information agency in the spiritual world. Don¡¯t be too shocked, the Trugbild family is one of the founders in our world and certain rights. As a manager, I have the right to give you the highest level of membership in our world. You can access our lower records without fees, you have the right to ask for higher records and any service you ask for will have a discount. Additionally, the identity of the highest membership is hidden and only the manager that gave it out knows, not even the administrator has the right to access, so regardless of what you do, you don¡¯t have to fear being spied on.¡± Adele also accepted it, then she couldn¡¯t hold on anymore and jumped into her parents¡¯ arms, although she didn¡¯t cry, she was very saddened, but she was also happy her parents helped her greatly with this. Then, when her grandfather came back, she also jumped into his arms and hugged him. Although he didn¡¯t know what they talked about, he also felt saddened when he looked at the suitcase. Finally, he looked at her ¡°Your mother already told me that you might leave. Take this, you will be able to access all trains of the empire with this card, it¡¯s nothing special, but it will help you somewhat.¡± Naturally her gaining the inheritance and sigil were also under his knowledge. Finally, she walked out and saw servants outside waiting for her. All these servants were her closest ones that carried her eye mark, so she naturally knew where they were, always. She walked to them and hugged them one by one, taking her eyes back. Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Her parents knew there were still some eyes in the mansion, she wouldn¡¯t be able to access them when she was too far, but at least it was an insurance that she lived. Finally, she entered the prepared carriage and looked at her parents from outside. Her empty suitcase in her hand, she was ready for the greater world. ¡ The moment she left her family, her mood stabilised, and her facial expression froze, it was like she had become a true puppet. She liked the eerie vibe it created, although she knew it was somewhat of a defensive mechanism she created on her own to mask the indifference towards life that came with her being a witch, it helped her. At least she didn¡¯t create chaos with a human face but with the face of an eerie monster. In fact, over the years, there were many that saw her, but she didn¡¯t worry about being exposed. At that time, she always changed her facial structure and everything to look more humane and also hid herself with fate, even if people saw her, they wouldn¡¯t be able to combine both faces, and this would only be strengthened as she grew stronger. When she became a third level, she knew that there was no one that could identify her without having enough fate with her, and the only ones that could do this currently were her parents and her grandfather, no one else. Looking back, she was satisfied with her three seals. The first ensured her immortality, the second strengthened any ritual of a higher level that required her true name and the third gave her a companion that would follow her eternally, it was a great foundation. In fact, the third, Mut, was currently in the form of her silk gloves, he didn¡¯t want to be in the mark on the hand, in this state he was like semi-conscious and could only see the world, but not experience it firsthand. The carriage moved and she soon arrived at the train station. The capital city was huge but for Adele, she still couldn¡¯t believe the capital was called ¡®Kaiserheim¡¯, which means ¡®emperor¡¯s home¡¯. Even when reading records, she was stunned. It must be said that everything considered, she had her fun. Reading the name and hearing other people talk about the names as if they are ancient words that are difficult to understand for common people¡ this knowledge didn¡¯t even require one to go to school, as long as one knew these two names, one would be able to guess the meaning back then. There were several train stations and this one was a luxurious train station that only served the nobles, so naturally the train mainly had large cabins for up to four people. Adele took her suitcase and sent her maids back. She came down and looked at the side, it was quiet even at this place, people were walking slowly and chatting, children were playing. It would seem extremely peaceful if it wasn¡¯t for the fact that everyone here had a strong aura and a condescending attitude towards the enemies they were talking about. If it wasn¡¯t for this place, Adele could¡¯ve sworn they would spit as they said the name ¡®Kholodny¡¯ aloud. This was weird to her coming from a modern country. People were less condescending of the people of other countries and only hated the government, it was widely accepted that the common people weren¡¯t at fault and even if it was that case, it was most likely because the government influenced them to be like that. She felt weird hearing the words they spoke. It wasn¡¯t that she felt disgusted by their talk of murder, no, she was indifferent towards this, it was rather the weirdness that came with indifference. Like when one bragged about imprisoning a few Kholodny swine¡¯s and pulling them around their forsaken frozen country and letting them enjoy the freezing cold all around their body¡ she only thought about how this man over thirty hadn¡¯t joined in the past five years of the war, looked like he was enjoying life in the capital to the fullest and didn¡¯t even know the dangers of war. Chapter 30 It was as if everywhere she looked, the politeness and behaviour of ¡®higher¡¯ people that was called manners seemed hypocritical. During events with higher nobles, there was no such feeling at all, since she knew that every person she met there would eventually become a greater person and excel in what they do, or at least not brag like this about a serious political issue, even joking wasn¡¯t to this extent. The fa?ade of the higher middle class and the hypocrisy that came with it was such a shocker to her, that she couldn¡¯t fathom it and summarised it into weird. It was really niche, or it should be, because she saw the fighting lower class and the working middle class, only the higher middle class that tried every means to become higher class were behaving like this. ¡®Alas, this is the difference between acting high and being high. The true upper class is closer to the lower middle class, even though they have advanced higher, they still work hard, at most they are somewhat relaxed like the middle middle class, but this higher middle class that tries everything to seem pompous, able and well off is just a cheaper and superficial version of the true upper class. Hmph, I wish they would see how it feels to have generation after generation of your ancestors die in experiments, in fights¡ or during prophecies.¡¯ She had read many records and she knew that in fact, of the sixteen higher families of the Kran Empire, none one of them reached their status by being lazy and inheriting. Each and everyone had fought hard all the way. They are the true nobility, the one she stood by and the reason for her eternal name. These small nobles that act like this are a joke in her eyes, she disdained calling them noble, she¡¯d rather honour a mortal that works hard than an extraordinary that acts like this. Looking around, she saw quite a few that had a similar detest, but they were dressed rather simply. She ignored this and went further, no one stopped her and even if they looked at her, they would look away soon again. Her image would disappear from their mind and they would only have the memory that they saw a young girl on the street that gives off a bit of a unique vibe. She arrived at the front of the train station and took out her emblem, the process was quick and she was given a ride and description. Transportation was free for nobles as long as they showed their sigil, naturally she didn¡¯t need to pay. Taking the guide, she entered the station and saw that there was a single train. Several trains would take off daily, at least one would go towards the larger regional cities of the major nobles, so there was no issue with her waiting. The station would operate for exactly twelve hours a day, eight trains that cross sixteen cities and half an hour between each train. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. Adele had checked the times previously already, so there was no issue with this. It only took a few minutes until her train arrived, they would have ten minutes to enter, some more time to choose their room, and then the train would take off just a few minutes before the next train arrives at the station, making it a fluid motion and ensuring no noble has to wait long nor rush. The trains of this age were all locomotives that had a certain old rustical and mechanical feeling, but there was also wonderful energy all around it. Adele was a bit surprised to see it, only now did she feel truly that she was in a magical world, which is a bit of a joke considering she can cast spells. She entered the train, inside there were was a large space, to the left and right the floor was spacious and people could walk leisurely, at the door of each compartment there was a number of how many people were in there. Even nobles have to specifically book a private compartment, people that take the last minute ticket have to take these open compartments. In fact, it wasn¡¯t so bad, at most four people would have to fill the small room, and there were far less people taking the train than there were rooms, so it wasn¡¯t unusual for several compartments to have only one person sitting in them. Adele entered early, so she was able to take an empty one. Inside, there was a large layout of two couches, a table in the middle and beds in the back. It looked a bit cramped for a room but extremely spacious for a moving train. The reason there were group compartments instead of single ones is because many times nobles travel with servants or with other nobles, so they would often sit together rather than be alone. Even if this situation isn¡¯t ideal for many, it can be said to be the best option for everyone. Additionally, if one travelled alone, then there would be gender specific restrictions. Many people might think it¡¯s childish to separate females and males, but times have proven that it is better to do so in a situation where you will spend several days together in a small space. The only reason this works somewhat is because most nobles know each other, at least the ones that regularly use the train, so it¡¯s not an atmosphere of total strangers for most people, only a rare few don¡¯t know anyone, but most of the times they are left alone out of respect. Unfortunately, this wasn¡¯t the case for Adele. Apparently it was a time where many people took the train, and a lady in long dress entered her compartment. Behind her was a maid that looked elegant and kind, like a shadow of her lady. The lady approached Adele as she entered. ¡°Dear young lady, would you be welcoming of a guest?¡± Adele looked at her, her face still stiff with no expression, her skin a tone of jade porcelain that seemed to fade at the edges, the only colour on her persona being her violet eyes. She replied in an indifferent voice ¡°Do as you please.¡± Chapter 31 Adele hadn¡¯t turned her head to the woman, but when the woman sat in front of her, she was able to see her. From her perspective, this woman was a clear example of an idol in the south-eastern hemisphere. The only surprise to her was that no one paid attention to this. She expected for a few people to talk outside when she entered, even her eyes were spread around, but no one seemed to pay attention. The lady looked at Adele ¡°What a pretty little lady you are, but why are you so pale? You should go out into the sun more often!¡± Adele, a professional experienced introvert, had heard this sentence quite a few times. She would¡¯ve sneered if it wasn¡¯t for her persona, so she simply replied ¡°It¡¯s quite rare for easterners to visit the empire. Especially for those that are so far south, are you sure you¡¯re not visiting the Kholodny?¡± A hint of surprise flashed across the ladies¡¯ eyes, but she hid it well before answering ¡°Is it so obvious? No one mentioned this up to now.¡± ¡°Your nose, your chin and your eyes. I¡¯ve seen countless that have had changed their face in this direction, regardless of how well it is done, there is always a marking that will tell people of your origin. It¡¯s your muscle structure, anyone with a good eye will be able to see it, superficial things such as skin is something only ignorant people pay attention to.¡± The lady didn¡¯t seem to understand, so Adele pointed it out ¡°Your cheek bones seem non-existent. In fact, I am surprised people don¡¯t see this, it is probably only because people think nobles look vastly different from the common people that they don¡¯t think too deeply about your appearance, at most they would think you¡¯re from the south of the Kholodny empire, but from my experience, you are very obviously a south eastern beauty. I would also appreciate it if you didn¡¯t call me little, a basic level of respect should be expected regardless of whom you see.¡± ¡°It should indeed be so, I apologize for my behaviour.¡± Both became quiet, Adele¡¯s posture made her seem more and more like a porcelain puppet than a real girl, the lady couldn¡¯t keep quiet ¡°I am quite fascinated, your appearance appears to be naturally glassy and pure, how do you manage that?¡± ¡°As an immortal, shouldn¡¯t you know?¡± Adele asked, with a twinkling in her eyes. The servant behind became serious and put her hand behind her dress, but the lady just waved her hand to stop it ¡°That is indeed the case, but even we don¡¯t have this. After all, it only ensures eternal beauty and enhances our natural appearance. It would be another matter if it is a disguise, but it doesn¡¯t appear to be one.¡± Adele shook her head ¡°Reality is the most successful illusion. Pardon me for asking, but what might an immortal such as you partake in this part of the world?¡± Smilingly, the lady answered ¡°I am on an educational journey. I have taken most trains throughout the Kran Empire and am now heading towards the last two stops.¡± This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. Nodding, Adele commented ¡°That is indeed a joyful journey and I wish you further success.¡± From then on, both became quiet. The trip from Kaiserheim to Ehrenwald took a full three and a half days. They would take a break for two hours every twelve hours to repair and refuel the train. During the whole journey, Adele sat still in the couch, it was only the lady and her maid that went to the small bedrooms in the back of the compartment. When they arrived at Ehrenwald Station, the lady stood up and cupped her hands ¡°I wish you a great journey further on.¡± Adele nodded, when the lady was about to leave the compartment, she said in a clear tone without turning her head ¡°The kind lady should return to her home. Our northern continent won¡¯t be as welcoming in the near future.¡± The lady stopped, turned and cupped her hands before leaving. Outside, the maid asked, ¡°What did she mean?¡± The lady smiled ¡°Her eyes, in the empire, it is only the Holle family that posses purple eyes. It is said the darker their eyes are, the more power they have. Dark violet, I doubt there is anyone with darker eyes in her family. Ehrenwald will be our last destination, prepare our journey back.¡± ¡ ¡®Hmm, an immortal, and she should be in the middle ranks too. I wonder, is she really journeying or is she planning something? The Emerald Court is said to be the strongest force in the eastern continent, a branch of the Heavenly Court, so they should have great strength. It is said that they are at war against all their neighbours, are they looking for allies in the north?'' The Emerald Court consists of three spirits and three sects, with a total of six god-level forces, whereby the Kran Empire only has three. It is simply a huge difference in size, after all, the Kran Empire barely reigns the middle of the northern continent, with more land in the west, north and even more in the east, while the Emerald Court is nearly the only sovereign of the south of the eastern continent, which is much larger than the northern continent. Of course this doesn¡¯t mean they are truly sovereign, they also have countries bordering them in all directions, only the difference is that the Kran Empire has one enemy among them, while the Emerald Court has several. There is no other reason for this, they are simply very ambitious and have disunity inside with everyone grabbing the only resources in their country and the only proper and safe way to advance being the expansion. Even though they are technically stronger than the Kran Empire, they are of the same grade. In fact, at one point of strength, every country can be called of the same strength, as it is organized somewhat casually. No god-level forces mean it¡¯s a low power, one is middle, two is high and anything with three or more is top. It¡¯s simply because there is no essential change between three and six, any country can resource one god force, two means the country is able to defend itself against outsiders, while three means being in fighting for resources on the world level. Having more god forces starting from three just means more people to fight, not that one can focus all forces against one country. After all, if they do so, then all nearby countries will simply unite. It¡¯s fine if we fight normally, but if you want total destruction just because you are stronger, then you have to be ready to bleed. ¡°I would like to visit that country once.¡± Adele thought. In fact, she wanted to visit all top grade forces and even a few lower ones. There is no other reason, she is curious. She might also create a bit chaos if she has the chance. ¡°In the past when I read stories about the strong, I¡¯ve always wondered why they were so much in a rush to advance. Now, as a time witch, I know their behaviour is simply wrong. With so much time, you still rush things, clearly you are just instable and don¡¯t know what else to do besides progressing.¡± Chapter 32 For Adele, there is only one proper way to progress, and that is to experience the time in the world. Nothing about studying ancient texts, learning spells or sitting down for years at a time absorbing spiritual power. As long as she experiences the time that passes, she will gain strength, absorbing spiritual power can accelerate this process only slightly. In theory, every stage would require her to wait a different time. The first seal takes one year, the second three, the third five, and the fourth takes ten years. From then on, the rise is higher and higher, until she reaches the peak of her strength at the midpoint of her lifespan, which should be a thousand years old. Of course this is only the aspect of a time witch. The basis for witches is still to create chaos, without doing so, it¡¯s like a wizard with a vast amount of mana but nowhere to store it. It¡¯s simply useless and will overflow. Anyways, she doesn¡¯t have this worry currently. It would be difficult to create chaos in a world where the ruling is stable for many years, but those few thousand years of this world are far from that. In fact, without one great faction ruling all, it would be difficult to reach that stage. Therefore, she has a lot of freedom considering her future plans. The only worry she might have would be that she was too weak to properly experience the interesting sites all around the world. ¡°Well, that won¡¯t be too much of an issue. I will remain in this northern continent until I have my sixth seal, from then on, I can start travelling. With a sixth seal I will have the power of the seventh stage, counting as the higher stages. If I still can¡¯t move around by then, am I supposed to wait in a coma until I¡¯m in the ninth stage?¡± ¡ Adele mused and spent time thinking of all the things she wants to do, and most of all, also her further plans for the future. Although she was relaxed, that didn¡¯t mean she would forget her goal, in fact, with the knowledge she has enough time, she simply has more freedom for her schemes, for her many schemes. Time passed and soon it was four days, she arrived in Rosenburg. She left the train station with her things, didn¡¯t stay in the city but directly left through the west gate. Although she had enough time, there was no reason to idle in every city she stops, that would bore her. After all, even before, she was a person that preferred nature and such. What could be interesting about a city? The only thing she could appreciate would be things that exist in most cities of the country, once you visit their capital, there isn¡¯t much to see. If she had time, she would¡¯ve stayed longer in Kaiserheim, but there was no reason to stay here. After leaving the city for several hundred metres, she finally started to move fast, very fast. During her time in the necklace, she not only learned a lot of ritual theory, but she also learned spells. Four in total, with one passive among them. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. The passive is the most basic spell any time witch has, instant casting. In fact, they are the only force with this spell. For others, this is a level of achievement where one can cast a spell instantly as long as they know it well enough. This is different for time witches, they simply ¡®consume¡¯ the time they would¡¯ve spent on the spell. Most spells don¡¯t take long to activate, between three and nine seconds, so the average would be six seconds. But, one doesn¡¯t actually pay for the six seconds to cast the spell, one pays ten times the price. Every spell costs around a minute, so a single spell is not much, but when fighting, this basically means one can lose several days in a few minutes. Regardless, at least with this spell, time witches aren¡¯t weak in combat at all. It is also because of this that time witches are called extremes ¨C either they cast a spell directly, or prepare years for a ritual. Besides this passive spell, Adele has three more. Spiritual missile, a very basic spell among not only witches but also wizards. It only gathers spiritual power to shoot in a fast motion in a straight line, exploding upon impact. Although it¡¯s basic, it fulfils the purpose. The second is a time spell ¨C a debuff, the Slow Movement, a single-target spell which slows the movement of the person hit. Time spells are mainly focused on support-type spells, of course there are also offensives, strong ones even, but they aren¡¯t as strong as other witch paths. Though when it comes to rituals, as long as the ritual has enough time, it will be extremely powerful. Lastly there is another single-target time spell, Fast Movement. It accelerates the speed at which one is moving. Both spells don¡¯t focus on physical or spiritual power, but on time. When these spells are cast, they are manipulating and compressing or expanding time. Compressing it causes one to walk a distance that would take ten seconds in one second, the physical or spiritual consumption would be as if one walked for ten seconds, but one did so in one second. On the other hand, expanding it will be as if one is walking a distance of ten seconds very slow, as if you¡¯re dragging yourself. The consumption will be that of ten seconds, but the time it takes for the distance would be twenty seconds or even more. In fact, it could be said that both are buffs and debuffs, as long as you accelerate your enemy when he¡¯s dodging, he might go off course because he¡¯s moving too fast, while slowing yourself could let you dodge an attack since you took longer to reach the place you planned to reach. These things wouldn¡¯t work for other people, regardless of how good they train such spells, it¡¯s hard to cast them fast enough to catch one off-guard, and most similar spells don¡¯t are difficult to cast on people besides yourself, time is simply the best element for these spells. Well, time and space, but space is even rarer than time, and technically, time and space offset each other. There is no other reason for the rarity of space. The requirements for time and space are similar, so, if it wasn¡¯t for the witches, both would be equally rare. The Aeon Witch is a core of witchcraft for a reason ¨C they are the oldest witch school. Not the first, of course, that would be the origin witch. No, the Aeon Witch is said to be a time elemental that had certain authority of the time element. It was persuaded by the Origin Witch and transformed into a witch. The Aeon Witch has another name, which is the Time Elemental Lord. All elements have their elemental lords, they are the first and strongest elementals that have the highest control over their specific element. For the witches, it was a great advantage to have the Time Elemental Lord join them. From then on, they would be the faction with the most rightful inheritance of the time element. The same can¡¯t be said about space. To this day, it is the void sky that holds the highest authority of the space element. Anyone that wishes to master this element has to gain an opportunity, even an orderly inheritance won¡¯t be enough. This is why the factions of knights, wizards, witches, priests, etc. exist. They have their own authorities and specialities, if one doesn¡¯t join any faction, then it will be very difficult to take the more specific paths.
