    On a usual day, a young woman with silver hair was walking down the busy street.

 Chapter 2

    The silver haired woman woke up again, this time she was in a building. But her body was ethereal and not real at all, she was confused and didn''t understand, but in front of her, she was her exact same image.


    Unlike her, the image was realer, but also older¡­ and pregnant! The same woman was actually pregnant, but looking around the apartment, it was the one she had just looked at the other day, but it was fully decorated with the things she imagined before. There was even the large room which she dedicated for her profession.


    There, she would have her patients sit down, drink tea and talk with her in a calm atmosphere. Looking at all this, she realised ¨C this was her dream from a week ago.


    She never married and after some experience, she actually disdained from relationships and dedicated herself to her career, but even though this was the case, she always wanted to have children and even thought of becoming a mother through scientific means, and this dream was a manifestation of her wishes as she came closer and closer to success.


    When she realised this was a dream, the dream seemed to lose its magic and it slowly fell down like sand, and then, she saw actual sand. All around her, it seemed that reality turned into sand and she saw an island forming from all the sand around her.


    The water below seemed ethereal; she had just approached the end of he island when she saw some small fish swimming in it. Unsure of the dangers, she didn''t want to go in there. She was just about to return to the centre of the island to contemplate what had just happened, when she saw a shining purple light in the distance.


    This was her favourite colour, many times she even wore eye lenses of this colour when she was out, the same was the case for her hair. Silver was a very rare natural colour and although she''d wish it was hers, it wasn''t. It is also for this reason that her hair greyed, the colour was actually fading, and it would soon turn back into her natural one.


    Looking at the purple light, there was some yearning deep down in her soul. Her island seemed to react and transformed from a still one into a moving one. The sand seemed to move all around. Seeing this, she was surprised this was possible but thinking that she was able to influence it anyways, she thought of something else.

    Although she wasn''t sure in what state she was, she felt that her situation shouldn''t be far from the soul, even though she didn''t think she was dead yet. Anyways, on this island, her rationality seemed to be on peak, but her desire to approach the purple light seemed to be even larger.

    Unknowingly, her anti-social behaviour kicked in and instantly tried to distance herself from them. Although this was another thing she had managed long ago, on this island-ferry, it seems as if her strongest strengths and weakest weaknesses came to be.


    The other island owners didn''t seem to have figure out the way to transform their islands into other objects, but the sand there moved, so she quickly moved her hand and hid the purple necklace inside as she urged the ferry to move far away.


    Time passed and it wasn''t much later before she seemed far away, she looked around and saw that other islands around were still and some had lights all around. Looking at this, she thought of her own situation when she just entered this dreamy world.


    To hide her existence from any possible pursuer, she decided to make her ferry turn back into an island. The sand below then rushed up and the building from before came to be again, only this time, it seemed a bit realer, but there was no pregnant her.


    Satisfiedly, she was about to take out the necklace, but her sudden movement of moving the necklace caused the necklace to cut her. Weirdly, there wasn''t any blood flowing out, thinking that it was nothing, she was about to inspect the necklace, when suddenly- her body seemed to be sucked into the necklace!


    It was also at this moment that the tranquil sand island below seemed to break. Islands all around had the same phenomenon, so when the island broke down but was actually pulled into the necklace instead of falling into the endless sea, no one saw this.

    The three higher stages include the Elder Witch, on that has learned and experienced the depths of witchcraft and is able to take apprentices on a larger scale, often having managing positions in the local covens.     Finally, there is the Matriarch Witch, a leader of any local coven, a singular extremely strong force. There may only be one among each local coven, once a second one reaches this stage and the previous witch isn''t at the end of her lifespan or attempts to reach higher stages, the new matriarch will have to leave the local witch and open a second branch.

    Now it gathered enough spiritual power for me to create the third seal. Only because of my long stay in here did the spiritual power become extremely attuned to me, else it would be impossible for it to actively help me.


    As for the fourth seal, if I don¡¯t want to wait a few more decades, I won¡¯t be able to use its help. It only advanced a hundred years ago at most as far as I can see, so it probably was influenced as much as I was after reaching the ten thousand years mark.

He is more like the ¡®highest judge¡¯ that ensures prosperity of the empire, the imperial power is also the mightiest of all, but when it came to politics, he had much less of a right to talk.


    It was weird, in all honesty. But she knew that she couldn¡¯t find out more about this by watching this scholar. Or maybe high in he government?¡¯ She thought about it and it didn¡¯t seem bad to join them, but when she came a bit closer, she felt incredibly weak. Although she wasn¡¯t able to feel any enemies, she knew that if she entered the barrier, she wouldn¡¯t be able to escape.

    Adele thought that this one would probably be even more dangerous, but she also thought that the most dangerous place would be the safest. If everyone thought like here ¨C that these people who seem to be able to see through everything, then there was no way for them not to be able to see whether one was a heretic or not.


    Because of this, she took the risk and approached the mansion, crossing the barrier.


    Looking all around, she saw many single houses spread around and a large building with five stories in the middle. She didn¡¯t hesitate to approach the large building. She felt there was an extremely dangerous existence at the top of the building. Even if she wasn¡¯t detected by the barrier, if she came too close, that existence would find her.

    The silver haired beauty entered an office just on the other side of the floor, she sat on the sofa and listened to the reports of the head maid.

 Chapter 14

    ¡°My lady, the kitchen has already started, and breakfast will be ready in thirty minutes. The butler is on his way to wake up his lordship too.¡±


    The lady nodded and asked ¡°That¡¯s good. There should be a banquet today, right?¡±

    The dark power mixed with the purple power and became violet. Adele didn¡¯t know how it is now, but she knew that the purple power was her affinity for witchcraft that changed the snake to be compatible with her own.     There was a second reason why she chose this house: the purple eye made her hope that it would conceal her own compatibility to witchcraft.


    With her strength, the snake moved extremely fast and Adele saw many eggs all around. She looked at them and took a long time until she found the egg that was of a deep purple colour. She approached it and wanted to enter it, but there seemed to be resistance. Not towards her own previous purple, but rather towards the darkness that was mixed with the now violet.

    For Adele, there is only one proper way to progress, and that is to experience the time in the world. Nothing about studying ancient texts, learning spells or sitting down for years at a time absorbing spiritual power. As long as she experiences the time that passes, she will gain strength, absorbing spiritual power can accelerate this process only slightly.


    In theory, every stage would require her to wait a different time. The first seal takes one year, the second three, the third five, and the fourth takes ten years.     Therefore, she has a lot of freedom considering her future plans. The only worry she might have would be that she was too weak to properly experience the interesting sites all around the world.


    ¡°Well, that won¡¯t be too much of an issue. I will remain in this northern continent until I have my sixth seal, from then on, I can start travelling. With a sixth seal I will have the power of the seventh stage, counting as the higher stages. If I still can¡¯t move around by then, am I supposed to wait in a coma until I¡¯m in the ninth stage?¡±

    The passive is the most basic spell any time witch has, instant casting. In fact, they are the only force with this spell. For others, this is a level of achievement where one can cast a spell instantly as long as they know it well enough.


    This is different for time witches, they simply ¡®consume¡¯ the time they would¡¯ve spent on the spell. Most spells don¡¯t take long to activate, between three and nine seconds, so the average would be six seconds. But, one doesn¡¯t actually pay for the six seconds to cast the spell, one pays ten times the price.


    Every spell costs around a minute, so a single spell is not much, but when fighting, this basically means one can lose several days in a few minutes. Regardless, at least with this spell, time witches aren¡¯t weak in combat at all. It is also because of this that time witches are called extremes ¨C either they cast a spell directly, or prepare years for a ritual.


    Besides this passive spell, Adele has three more.


    Spiritual missile, a very basic spell among not only witches but also wizards. It only gathers spiritual power to shoot in a fast motion in a straight line, exploding upon impact. Although it¡¯s basic, it fulfils the purpose.


    The second is a time spell ¨C a debuff, the Slow Movement, a single-target spell which slows the movement of the person hit. Time spells are mainly focused on support-type spells, of course there are also offensives, strong ones even, but they aren¡¯t as strong as other witch paths. Though when it comes to rituals, as long as the ritual has enough time, it will be extremely powerful.


    Lastly there is another single-target time spell, Fast Movement. It accelerates the speed at which one is moving. Both spells don¡¯t focus on physical or spiritual power, but on time. When these spells are cast, they are manipulating and compressing or expanding time. Compressing it causes one to walk a distance that would take ten seconds in one second, the physical or spiritual consumption would be as if one walked for ten seconds, but one did so in one second.


    On the other hand, expanding it will be as if one is walking a distance of ten seconds very slow, as if you¡¯re dragging yourself. The consumption will be that of ten seconds, but the time it takes for the distance would be twenty seconds or even more.


    In fact, it could be said that both are buffs and debuffs, as long as you accelerate your enemy when he¡¯s dodging, he might go off course because he¡¯s moving too fast, while slowing yourself could let you dodge an attack since you took longer to reach the place you planned to reach.
