 Chapter 1 - â€œEND OF THE WORLDâ€

    April 13 of 2239, the end of the world have came. Robots and other powerful technology have already formed, just to come to an end at the end of the world. One of the biggest technology to form was the Time Machine which was very expensive.

    At April 13 of 2239, one old woman with the name of Grevain Makathoshi was telling her robot to go to the past. If the owner of a robot dies, the robot will die too, and as Grevain was about to die because of the tragic end of the world, she ordered the robot to go to the past and meet her great granddaughter, Hana Makathoshi. But the robot did not want to Leave its owner to die in front of no one. A robot without an owner will die, so if Grevain¡¯s robot goes to her granddaughter then the robot could survive because of Hana. After about a few minutes, robot asked Grevain¡ª ¡°then why don¡¯t you come with me?¡±. ¡°Because this is the end of my life¡­ i am old y¡¯know, so it¡¯s the betterment of me to die here¡­¡± replied Grevain. Just as she finished a big explosion happened outside the house were Grevain and the robot was. ¡°Now you gotta go- take the Time Machine and go to the past!¡± Cried Grevain. ¡°B-but why Hana? Why did you choose Hana specifically?¡± Asked the robot. ¡°Because¡­she died¡­you should protect her¡­and bring her back to life¡±. ¡°What?! No! I can¡¯t do that! That will be against the rule! It¡¯s the law that you can¡¯t bring back dead humans back to life with the Time Machine!!¡±. Hit the robot back. ¡°you have to do it¡­ there is no other way¡­now go!!¡± Shouted Grevain.     ## CHAPTER 2 - ¡°THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT AN CARELESS IDIOT¡±

    ¡°I can¡¯t¡­ i am not doing that!!¡± Shouted the robot back to Grevain. Grevain¡¯s eyes widen as she heard that, but said nothing but gave a warm smile. ¡°I am not going to save her¡­ not because I don¡¯t wanted to-, but¡­ it would be better if I don¡¯t save her¡­ because she died in an heart attack¡­that is less painful than dying in fire alone at the end of the world, y¡¯know¡­¡±. ¡°Your right¡­ but what are you going to do? Please don¡¯t tell me your going to die here with me¡­ I don¡¯t want that¡­¡± asked Grevain. ¡°I am going to 2025¡­ and protect some random girl who is in trouble¡­¡­.¡± Answered the robot. The robot looks back at the Time Machine and sets the time he is going to go to and also set to teleport the machine to a girl in trouble¡­ or in other words, a girl who is important to the world but died painfully even though she don¡¯t deserve it¡ª that¡¯s what he typed in the Time Machine and looked back at Grevain with sadness and depression as he is going to lose someone he have always been with before he presses the button of the Time Machine. He and the Time Machine teleports into the ¡°Time-Verse¡± which is the portal that helps in traveling in time.

    He teleports to a girl¡¯s bedroom by the Time-Verse and the girl was Laying in bed, playing in her mobile. She turned around from her bed to see a tall, brownish haired boy which seem to be about her age, that is 17. And that boy is of course, Grevain¡¯s robot. The girl freaked out because of the uninvited ¡®guest¡¯. ¡°Uh-um¡­. W-who are y-you?¡± Her eyes were widen. Then just as she finished, the robot realizes that Grevain is going to die right now, he immediately runs to the girl and touches her forehead. And that¡¯s how a robot gains an owner, if a robot touches the forehead of a human and think about being their property, then the robot will become that human¡¯s own property. The girl freaks out even more by that unexpected move. ¡°Uh-ehh-umm!!¡± The girl stuttered more. ¡°I-I, I am sorry for that! Listen, this may sound unbelievable but I am a robot and I am from the 23rd century, and my name is Makato. And I hold the responsibility to help and protect you!¡± The robot said in an kind of nervous tone. ¡°Makato huh¡­why do you want to protect me?¡± Asked the girl in an curious tone. ¡°Wait! You actually believe that?!¡± Asked the robot, or now Makato. ¡°Huh?! You lied?! Please tell me this isn¡¯t a joke, I took it seriously¡± said the girl. ¡°No, this isn¡¯t any lie, I am a robot from the 23rd century. And I am here to protect you because¡­¡± Makato started. ¡°Because?¡±. ¡°Because my owner¡­.died¡­..and if a owner of a robot die then¡­the robot will die too, until the robot finds an another owner. So that¡¯s why, I chose you as my new owner in the replacement of my old owner.¡± Replied Makato. ¡°Ooh¡­so you don¡¯t really wanted to protect me huh.¡± said the girl. ¡°Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Maki Edogawa. And also¡­is that the only reason you decided to protect me? Just because your old owner died? Or is there any other reason?¡±. ¡°There is¡ª¡° started Makato. ¡°And that is¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­..your going to die¡­.¡±. ¡°Whaat?! What d-do you mean I am going to die?!¡± Cried Maki. ¡®Hey, don''t freak out!! Yeah,, it¡¯s the truth that your going to die but I am here for you, I will protect you. But the problem is¡­I don¡¯t know how and when are you going to die¡ª¡°. Said Makato to comfort her. Maki got out of her bed and ran to Makato and held his collar tight. ¡°Tell me!! How¡¯d you know I will die eh?!¡± Asked Maki with pure fear in her eyes, her face was pale and she was trembling. ¡°Because I am from the future!  CHAPTER 3 - â€œImportance of her in the worldâ€

    <h2>CHAPTER 3 - ¡°IMPORTANCE OF HER IN THE WORLD¡±</h2>

    ¡°So, because you¡¯re from the future, you already know that I¡¯m going to die¡­ but you don¡¯t know how, when, or where. Then how are you going to save me? It¡¯s still kind of unbelievable¡­¡± continued Maki.

    ¡°I could use the Time Machine, but¡­¡± said Makato.

    ¡°But?¡± asked Maki.

    ¡°But¡­ I don¡¯t have the Time Machine right now because I left it in the 23rd century¡­ The machine broke¡­¡± continued Makato.

    ¡°How¡ª? How did it break?¡± asked Maki.

    ¡°Because¡­ of the ¡®End of the World¡¯,¡± answered Makato.

    ¡°It all started when¡­¡± began Makato.

    ¡°¡­the human race discovered a new ore, first found on Mars¡ªMars'' core, to be more specific. The new ore was called ¡®Remert¡¯. This ore was very powerful because it could generate free electricity. Because of this ore, we were able to expand society all the way to Saturn (except for Mercury and Venus). We used Mars and Jupiter as industrial units, and Earth and Saturn as residential units. There was mining of Remert in the industrial units, and the mined Remert was later used to make floating buildings on Saturn (only floating buildings could be made there because Saturn is made of gas). We were also able to make robots, Time Machines, and tablets that provide oxygen (even if you¡¯re in space or underwater) for two straight weeks. Everything was going very well in society¡­ until¡­ aliens discovered the solar system. They¡¯re not actually called aliens, but Pe2, classified as Space Creatures with a high danger level.

So, they secretly attacked the industrial units to gain more Remert. They had bigger and stronger military weapons than the humans, so they were able to defeat the human race.     ¡°Now¡­ I will protect you until your old age, then protect someone else¡­ I will repeat this cycle until I reach the 23rd century (a robot can¡¯t die of old age. Their body doesn¡¯t change either) and stop the Pe2 from destroying the human race. So for now, you¡¯re important for the future of humanity. Understood, Maki?¡±

    ¡°Oh¡­ well, I kind of did¡­¡± replied Maki.

    Makato walked to the window, moved the curtain, and looked through it to see the beautiful city of Tokyo.

    ¡°Tokyo Metropolis,¡± said Makato to himself.

    ¡°I¡¯m from a place far from here¡ªOsaka.¡±

 CHAPTER 4 - â€œSchool Life

    CHAPTER 4 - ¡°School Life¡±

    Maki Edogawa, 17 years old, an average student of Okan High School, Class 1-3, is friends with Nania Teru. She is just a normal high school student¡­ well, she was normal until she discovered her life had something more than just anything normal. She found that out by meeting a robot from the future, who had experienced the end of the world. The robot wanted to protect her until her old age, then protect somebody else, and then repeat this cycle until he reached the day when the world met its end. ¡°Osaka, huh¡­¡± repeated Maki. ¡°Um, do you have any luggage?¡± she asked. ¡°Ah, yes, just one suitcase, that¡¯s it,¡± said Makato. ¡°Okay¡­ and also, if you¡¯re going to protect me until I¡­ die of old age¡­ that means you¡¯re also going to stay with¡­ me?¡± Maki asked again. ¡°Yes, I will be staying with you. I hope that wouldn¡¯t bother you,¡± answered Makato. ¡°U-umm¡­ I¡¯m okay with that¡­¡± Maki answered. ¡°And I also wanted you to do a favor for me,¡± said Makato. ¡°Yes, what is it?¡± Maki asked. ¡°Promise me you will never tell anyone about me being a robot or that I am going to protect you until you die.¡± ¡°What!? I can¡¯t do that! My parents won¡¯t let you stay here if I don¡¯t tell them the truth!¡± said Maki. ¡°No, you can¡¯t tell this to ¡®anyone,¡¯ okay?¡± Makato shot back. ¡°Why not?¡± Maki whined. ¡°Humans are greedy, and they might try to kidnap me or something. Any human would like to have an advanced robot from the future to protect them, so I think the safer option is to keep it a secret.¡± ¡°But¡­ my family isn¡¯t greedy, but I will listen to you anyway. But, if you¡¯re going to stay with me in my house, you will need my parents¡¯ permission,¡± said Maki. ¡°I have an idea. Just say that I am your friend and I had to move in here for a few months because my parents went on a tour. That should be enough of an excuse,¡± replied Makato. ¡°Yeah, that sounds convincing,¡± said Maki. About an hour later, they managed to convince Maki¡¯s parents. Maki¡¯s father¡¯s name is Nakada Edogawa, and her mother¡¯s is Yumi Edogawa. The next day was Monday. Maki was going to school, and Makato was going with her to learn more about her. They were walking through the fields. ¡°So¡­¡± Maki started. ¡°You said you¡¯re a student at my school. But obviously, you¡¯re not going to come to my school. So, what are you going to do?¡± ¡°Absolutely nothing¡­¡± replied Makato. ¡°Nothing? You¡¯re going to do nothing, Mako?¡± ¡°No.¡± ¡°Okay¡­ I guess.¡± After that small talk, both of them finally reached the school. But suddenly, Maki froze as she saw some people standing at the gate, all of them close to a bike and each other. It was like they were all part of one gang. There was one boy sitting on the bike, wearing sunglasses and eating chocolate. It looked like he was the leader. ¡°What is it, Maki?¡± Makato asked her. ¡°M-Mako¡­¡± stuttered Maki. ¡°Yes, what is it?¡± ¡°I-it¡¯s them¡­¡± ¡°Them?¡± ¡°Those people there¡­ they¡¯re the biggest bully gang in my school. They bully everyone, even other bullies,¡± Maki said. ¡°Oh¡­ so you think they would bully you or something like that?¡± Makato asked. ¡°Y-y-yes¡­¡± Suddenly, the gang¡¯s leader glared at both of them but said nothing. Maki¡¯s face turned pale, but Makato¡¯s didn¡¯t change. What he did was shoot back a glare at him. ¡°Maki, I will come with you to the gate, okay?¡± said Makato. Maki nodded in agreement. Both of them started walking toward the gate of the school and walked past the gang. Maki felt her heart pounding harder and harder until she reached her class. Makato¡¯s heart was pounding as well until she walked past them. After Maki was gone, Makato looked behind to see the same gang giving him a cold glare, and of course, he shot a glare back. Makato thought to himself, ¡°These people don¡¯t seem like much trouble, but I should not underestimate them¡­ What if they affect Maki¡¯s school life?¡±Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve.     The time was 3:47. Makato was at home, sitting on the floor in Maki¡¯s room, eating some onigiri and waiting for Maki to come home. About 10 minutes after Makato finished his onigiri, Maki arrived. She seemed exhausted. ¡°Oh¡­ welcome, Maki,¡± greeted Makato. ¡°Hello¡­ Mako,¡± she panted while talking. ¡°How was school?¡± asked Makato. ¡°Not bad, I guess¡­¡± ¡°You look exhausted,¡± said Makato. ¡°That¡¯s because I am!¡± Maki replied. ¡°May I know why?¡± ¡°Well¡­ I was talking to my friend, and then I didn¡¯t even notice it had been 30 minutes since we started talking. I had to run home.¡± ¡°But¡­ why did you¡ªanyway, I have something to ask.¡± Maki placed her bag on the table and sat on the bed. ¡°Hm? Sure, what is it?¡± she asked. ¡°Can you tell me more about that bully gang we saw this morning?¡± ¡°Those? Well, I don¡¯t know much, but what I do know is they are a small part of a big mafia gang known as ¡®Cocktail.¡¯ They¡¯re pretty dangerous.¡± ¡°Oh, really?¡± Just then, as they were talking about the gang, Maki¡¯s mom called her for lunch. After a few hours, it was 5:12. Maki and Makato were in the park near her house. The two of them were still talking about the gang when suddenly, Maki¡¯s friend, Nania Teru, came running up to them. ¡°Hello, Maki!!¡± she said loudly. ¡°Hello, Nania,¡± Maki replied. Nania turned to Makato. ¡°Um, who¡¯s this?¡± she asked. ¡°This is my friend, Makato Makathoshi, Mako for short. His folks went on a tour, and that¡¯s why he¡¯s staying with me and my parents,¡± Maki replied. ¡°Oh, hello. My name is Nania Teru. I¡¯m a friend of Maki,¡± she said to Makato. She turned back to Maki. ¡°What are you two doing here?¡± she asked. ¡°Nothing special, just talking,¡± Maki replied. ¡°Oh, that sounds fun!     ¡°The park, is pretty quiet now¡± thought Makato to himself while Maki and Nania were talking and giggling about something else to each other.

    Then, a unknown man wearing a blue mask, long coat, normal dark brown shoes, wearing a dark blue cap passed by them coughing. They did not pay any attention.

    A few seconds just after that man passed by, Nania¡¯s handbag went missing. ¡°W-wh-where is my bag?-?!¡±. ¡°My bag!! It¡¯s gone!!¡± cried Nania.

    ¡°Wait, could it be¡­ that mysterious dude who just passed by? No way, right?¡± thought Makato to himself, while looking back at that unknown man from earlier.This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.

    As soon as the unknown man felt Makato¡¯s eyes land on him, he started to panic and run¡ª ¡°What the he-?!¡± thought Makato to himself, before chasing the unknown man.

    ¡°Ahh!! Leave me!! I did not do anything!!¡± yelled the unknown man while running.

    ¡°Then why are you running?!¡± said Makato while he was chasing the man. Those two ran and ran, and now they are in the street. The man ran in between the small gaps in between the buildings, and Makato chased him till there. The man ran and ran until he reached one dumpster, in a small gap between two local stores. By the time Makato reached there, the man was panting and drinking water that was in Nania¡¯s bag.

    ¡°Hand back the bag to me!!¡± cried Makato while panting.

    ¡°No!! If I did, then he would kill me!!¡± cried the man.

    ¡°Who the hell are you talking about?¡± asked Makato.

    ¡°Cocktail¡¯s leader¡­ Yes, I am a part of that mafia group¡­ I am just a newbie though, so even if you torture me, I won¡¯t tell you anything because I don¡¯t know much about that mafia, so please let me go¡ª¡± answered the man with a scared tone.
