After rearranging my deck I run off since I''m late. As I''m running I notice someone was also running towards duel academy. "HEY!" I yell at him. He turns around and looks at me for a second, "Hey yourself." I run closer to him, "You heading to the Duel Academy test?"

The duel Pt 1
we entered the testing stage and walked up the side lines. I look at the duel and notice a a guy delivering the final blow with a trap card that inflicts damage to the two based off the monster it destroyed''s attack points. I hear the short kid jadens talking to say that this was the last duel. "WHAT?!!?!?" I yell turning around. "What do you mean THE LAST DUEL?!?!?!!? That was my last shot to get in here-" I say before getting interrupted. "Will the last two applicants come down?" I sigh, knowing I had another shot at becoming king of games.I go down, but not before hearing, "Wow, that was great! You look like the second best one here!" As we go down the guy ask. "If I''m second best, then who''s the best?" I turn around and say, "Me of course!" "no, Its yours truly, Im going to be king of games." "... whatever You say J" I walk down and put my deck into my duel disk.

After finding the arena, I sit in the stands adjusting my deck [new deck above in notes]. I notice three other obelisk blue students. "Hey, do any of y''all want to duel?"

They go on talking as one of them sits up here. I fixed my deck and made many strategies, I was about to ask one of the others to duel me involving a bet, when all of a sudden I heard, "Chazz! That Applicant who beat Dr. Crowler is here! Check it out!" I look up and see the student get up and look somewhere. I get up as well. "hey, what''s going on?"
"Hm? Oh, hey Robert, forgot you were here, this Slifer Red reject wants to duel one of us here." I look over Chazz''s shoulder and see Jaden talking to one of the people there. "Hey J!" Jaden looks back up at me and smiles, "Hey Robert! Wanna have that duel?"
I look at him then smile, " Hell-"
"This sure is a motley crew."
I look behind Jaden and see Alexis, " Hey-"
"Hey, Alexis~ have you come to see Robert here mop the floor with his friend Jaden here? I would say it would be a short duel, but Robert takes his time with other duelists. "No, I brought some stuff in this bag." I rummaged through it for the chips. "Want a chip?" I showed her the bag.

"I will take one." I hand some off to Syrus, "Anyways, what''s going on here? I saw Chazz play Chthonian Polymer as J played his flame wingman."
Syrus just says, "Chazz challenged Jaden to a duel, and I told Jaden it would be a bad idea but he told me ''Bad or good, when someone challenges you to a duel, you gotta accept''"
"And he''s right. you gotta- oh look, Jaden got his wingman back." Everyone looked over to see that Jaden had played Mirror Gate.
"So Jaden is still in this!"
I look at them, "In a duel, both duelists have a chance until the very end, so if you don''t have faith in your friend, what kind of friend are you? Chazz may have had the upper hand at the beginning but the duel isn''t over till the end."
Syrus looks a bit regretful, "oh..."
I look at him, "Its fine though, he''s only dueled in front of you once, so you don''t know the extent of his skills."

"What do you mean?" Alexis asks, "The way I saw it, it could have gone either way."
I smile, "Not with what J here drew." Jaden shows Monster Reborn. "I know exactly how it would have gone," Jaden says while smirking. He then walks off with syrus right behind him. "This is going to be one interesting year," I say walking back to my dorm.

"Duel Monster cards can be grouped into normal monsters, fusion monster cards, ritual monster cards, effect monster cards, trap cards, & spell cards. Traps can be divided into normal traps, counter traps, & continuous traps..." I look over at alexis who is just spiting fact after fact about subcategories of cards... nerd.

Great. Crowler just spoiling us obelisks even more, making everyone else hate us. Watch, his next target is a red and then he''s going to make fun of them.

Told ya. He should really stop that, just cuz he is the head for us blues. I got a way to annoy him though, It will get him to hate me more than Jaden

I laugh knowing Jaden was right, plus, Crowler was fuming.

As I sat in class completely ignoring the teacher, I was going through ways I could make my deck better. Along the way, I notice the professor''s cat walk right up to Syrus. I laugh a bit knowing what will happen.

At night I noticed Syrus on a boat on his way to the girl''s dorm. '' Shit, he''s going to get busted.'' I ran out to the lake to get him before he got there. As I got there he broke though the gate and ran in. "Syrus!" I try to whisper yell to him. He turns around, "oh, uh... hey Robert."
"What the hell are you doing? You could be expelled!"

And then, all hell broke loose. Girls came out and so did a dude in a ninja suit who ran off. I managed to dive in a bush before it happened so they shouldn''t find me unless-

... Damn snitch. Luckily I managed to evade them until they surrounded me. "hey," I say trying to not look at them [you know why], "Can''t we just talk about this and clear things up?"
As I listened to them insult Sy, I started to realize it will only be so long before they acknowledged me. I try to scoot away before they notice, but I did it too late.

"I tried stopping Sy over here from doing this and its not my fault I just happened to see him getting over here, please don''t hurt me."
They looked at me a second, "So why didn''t you stop him?"

As jaden basically was tossed around then just back hands her monster to destroy her life points, I got a glimpse at his strategies.

I look at her still laughing, "I used to be one to prank people with fake love letters, so I guess Karma really is a bitch." I continue laughing, as Syrus then asks me, "So did you write it?" I look at him, "What? of course not, I tried stopping you, and look at the mess I''m in, I bet I could clear this up if I did by saying I pranked you."

As I was heading to class, I stop by Jaden''s dorm to see if he was awake. I notice that He was heading my way, so I decided to stop for a second to wait for him. "Come on Jaden! we''re going to be late! not that you''re ever on time...." He catches up and we start racing to see who is faster. As we are running, we see a lady Pushing a car. We run by her but then stop. "Jaden, you go on to class, I got this." "Nonsense Rob, They know I''m never on time." We go and help the lady. "Ah, You must be from the auto club and obelisk blue, first time one has helped me." Jaden just smiles and says, "Don''t let the red jacket fool you, I''m just your average good deeds dude."

I heard you passed the entrance exam and asked my bro if I could come watch your field exam, and he said yes! So, I am on my way over to meet meet you in person. By the way, when you duel, I do have to record you so Big Bro can see your skills.He said he wants to see if you''re even worth an ounce of his time. Can''t wait to meet you.

As I was walking through the forrest to get to the Sliffer dorms, I notice an abandoned building. I notice someone was there already. "Hey! What are you doing here?"
They turn around, it was then I realize it was Alexis. "Robert? Why are you here? Don¡¯t you know that this place is forbidden? If Someone spots you"
"Well,it will be fine becausei can say that I was walking to the sliffer red dorms to tell scary stories with J and Sy, maybe Chumley. But then I noticed this place. Thought I could use it for the story, then I saw you. So what''s your reason?"

As Jaden was playing tennis, I was waiting on the sidelines waiting to join, Jaden accidentally hits the ball to hard and it goes towards Alexis. I panic and throw my racket, hoping to intercept, when all of a sudden, some guy hits both my racket and the ball and they hit crowlers head and eye. I laugh a bit and run off to see if Alexis is ok.
¡°You ok Alexis?¡± I ask, moving some guy to the side.
¡°Yeah, im fine.¡± she says.
I turn to the guy and say, ¡°Thanks for doing that, I feel i wouldnt have made it in time with my racket.¡±

I then snap back to reality and realize, all my memories were fake, and now I have to find my other memories. I then see a new message appear infront of me with my new mission.

As I stood their at the sandwich cart I close my eyes, and pick one. I then grab the wrapper and open it, taking a bite. I then throw away the onion sandwich. Not even hot sauce could fix that. I then see jaden run in, doing the same thing, only his is grilled tongue. Tongue of what, I dont know. Alexis then comes up. ¡°Better to get a bad draw here than in the middle of a duel.¡±
¡°True, but I kind of was hoping for that egg-wich,¡± I say, joining them.
¡°Oh, so you took the egg-wich to have lunch with Rob huh?¡± Jaden asks, causing me to blush a bit.

As I¡¯m doing my work, Jaden and Syrus are playing a game involving drawing. I go back to my studies. Questions like what cards could counter a field spell, what kind of card chthonian warrior is, some simple stuff like that. The harder stuff is what card this is or what is it¡¯s special effect, what not. I swear, why do we have to learn all that? Who cares what card it is? The other person will tell what it does anyways. Ms. dorothy then brings rice balls claiming they are pastries. ¡°Uh¡ whatever.¡±
¡°Hey, how about we draw for ours?¡±
¡°Sure, by the way, you got grape?¡± Jaden then grabs a random one and its strawberry, like he wanted.
I grab one and It was strawberry. I luckily don¡¯t mind it but I just suppose lady luck isn¡¯t with me tonight.

After we caught the dude, him and Jaden go on to duel about luck. I sit their watching. After a bit it ends and I go to bed.
I wake up early and head to the shop. As I get there, I see that pictures of Yugi moto are everywhere. ¡°What¡¯s going on?¡±

I sat in the corner opening my packs while others came in and got tickets. I opened the pack and got a couple of useful traps and spells, but no monsters that I could add to my deck. I add a couple of book of the moons, I look up and see syrus dueling that demitri kid. I never liked him. He thought using other¡¯s decks and strategies would let him win. I¡¯m glad he hasn¡¯t used mine yet, but he used zanes, so I don¡¯t feel safe yet. Anyways, looks like he¡¯s using Crowler¡¯s deck. I want syrus to win, but if demitri is copying crowler¡¯s deck, this should be at least a challenge for Syrus. As it¡¯s all happening, Jaden appears and causes a pause. I then find out that syrus was dueling for Jaden and I just sigh, thinking I should have known. Afterwards, Syrus beats demitri and claims the ticket. Everyone leaves, saying mean things about demitri as they left. I then buy a couple other packs overhearing that demitri was done with this. I look at bastion and shrug. ¡°Hey, did you formulate a strategy to beat me yet?¡±
¡°Not yet,¡± he says with a smile, but it will be complete soon. I can beat you, just not now.¡±
I sigh, ¡°Well, you better hurry up before I develop a new strategy. And I might just create a brand new deck. So watch out.¡± I go out of the shop and go to class.
I then get up in the middle of the night, trying to sneak out to see the cards first. Along the way I run into Zane and Alexis. ¡°I swear,¡± I say with a sheepish smile. ¡°If I see one of you, I usually see both of you. Anyways, you going to see Yugi''s deck?¡±

I finally see yugi¡¯s deck up close and see the deck that the great yugi muto used. I feel happy and head to class
I see a box on my bed as I get ready in the morning and notice that Another message appears.

Tools: the fake memories of the tournament last year that you lost to zane.

I see that I have to battle blair. I¡¯m glad I get to have a fake memory of the battle back, but I hope I can play along for a bit long enough. Wait, will she like zane or me? Another message appears.
*also, since the system notice your brain waves reacting subconsciously, we raised blairs age to 13. Also, she talked to you instead of Zane, since she ran into you first and it was a close duel.*
I sigh, great. I just hope she plays the same, otherwise, I might be in for a rude awakening. I see it is morning, I have one day to prepare myself, other wise, that maiden will cost me this duel. Plus, I really need that cyber strike structure deck. Cyber vier would be very useful.
As I was standing there listening to Chancellor Shepperd talk about the new tournament, I look over at the sliffer section and notice Blair there, and I see Jaden pop out from the back. I remember this is the scene where they talk about Zane. but here, they look at him and me. So now I feel extra nervous. After its over I walk over to them. ¡°Hey! So who do you think they¡¯re going to choose?¡±
¡°Well, I would like it to be me, but according to blair and sy, it could be you or Zane," Jaden says.
"Blair?"
