《Humans and dungeons are just toys for gods》 Old man in the fog - Intro Pick whatever name you want but this is a human being that just well they don''t know what''s going on and they''re waking up in a room that''s got no end it''s just black everywhere you look up and the floor is white when you look down it''s just goes on forever in this room the very middle is an old man sitting around a campfire on a log it''s big two nice size log let''s call this soul what do we call a solar cell doesn''t have a name yet just been reincarnated and it''s going to have a little conversation here with whoever that person is around that fire and it knows it and that person''s waiting so Soul goes and sits down and says hi I''m Bob who are you the old man Just Smiles and looks up and goes hi Bob I would call myself God but I''m not I used to be human and after being reincarnated enough times I know sit around the fire here and I help the next ones that come through because I''ve done it enough times I just know enough when I get bored of the fire I''ll go and reincarnate like you''re doing right now do you have any questions you want to ask me Bob the soul yeah I have a whole lot of questions okay first question do I get to pick what I get reincarnated as can I go back to my family in my area where I used to live and take care of them again there is not too much in control you get though there is two options I can give you one is just being a human and from what I can see you didn''t do too many bad things so you don''t get turned into a bug or an animal so that''s ca for you congratulations so you''re going to be a human or you could be a dungeon and that means that you''re not going back to your planet you''re going to go to another planet that has magic but you can also go to be a human there and not a dungeon so you have a choice I''m sorry to say I can''t send you back to the place you came from just can''t do it you''re going to another planet another reality it''s just how reincarnation works it prevents one person becoming too strong and harming the week so sorry but no you''re going to a new place so Bob''s not happy but understands so not really remembering their past too much but remembering it when they think real hard about it Bob''s like if I''m a dungeon what does that mean I do I understand I was a geek back in my day but does that mean like I can''t move and I can''t do anything I have to grow and I have to kill people because I can hide don''t want to kill people If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. the old man''s kind of chuckle still no no if you don''t want to kill people thank you for saying something what I''ll do is there was a time when the dungeons weren''t considered bad they were considered good and actually when people got in tune with the dungeon enough they actually were able to talk to you so dungeons were the body and the people were the blood inside of it and the more people you had inside of you the bigger and more powerful dungeons were the more they could do but this was also a long long time ago so they didn''t have technology like you had in your world so I''ll make you a deal I need a dungeon on a planet that hasn''t had a dungeon in so long that I don''t even know so it''s just you''re going to be the first engine ever let''s just say there may be old remnants of stuff there but from so far back that there''s we just don''t know all Bob just sat there and thought about it and the old man said I''ll give you a choice how about this take this coin hold it in your hand and then think of what you want and we''ll see what happens maybe your wish will be granted Bob took the coin from the old man said Thank you put it in his hand close his eyes while sitting down on the log next to the old guy and just thought really hard about being a good person and being with his family and friends in the music and all the good things that happened and then he got sad and he was like I forgot about going out and being on a motorbike in adventuring and then the moment his soul had a conflict the coin got warm and then that was it it just nothing happened the old man just smiled and said so have you made up your mind what you want to do do you want to be a dungeon or do you want to be a human Adventure in a World of Magic BoB was like I had a family but if I''m going to start over again I guess I could Venture a bit so I''ll be an adventure and I''ll go and adventure and I''ll go find these dungeons can I be put in a place where the dungeons are good I''d like to be in around the same time even if it is a long time ago I know you won''t be able to let me keep my memories but I really would hope that you can help me out and put me someplace safe the old man put his hand out and Bob gave him back his coin and the old man said not I think you''re going to do just fine just when you''re ready go for a walk into the Mist and that that''s it you''re good to go good luck to you and I hope you have a great adventure. Bob walked off into the fog and was gone the old man on the other hand was sitting there on that log smiling ear to ear looking at the coin that just kind of load everyone so I''ll in the right light and said to the coin so my new little dungeon you are from Another Universe and you are a good soul and if I put you not in a bad place but a place that needs a hero hmm I wonder what type of Heroes you''ll make cuz that''s the one rule about Dungeons either they make evil people and they make villains that take over the world or they make Heroes I wonder what kind of hero maker you''re going to be and with that he put the coin on his thumb flicked it into the fire and before it even touched the fire it just evaporated into the little sparkles and the little sparkles all grouped up into like a little ball of light and just disappeared out into the Mist chapter 1 - B.A.R Bad ass Roadhouse (bar) So this was new he didn''t know where he was but he knew he was a he and he knew he was thinking but he didn''t know where he was cuz he couldn''t see anything but he could feel about 20 ft around him and all he felt was Rock there was no core there was no nothing there was just rock he was Rock why was he Rock he knew his head that used to be hard as a rock but that didn''t explain this the last thing he remembered was a vehicle''s headlights yeah that doesn''t seem good oh God he died okay so now he''s been reborn and now he''s underground as rock think about this real hard Bob pulling that''s not his name his name is bar why is his name bar?? it took bar about 10 minutes of pure thinking to really come up with the stupidest idea he could think of that his name stands for badass Bass which means that he''s a dungeon and that he should be able to control everything around him and that was the only thing you can come up with and honestly he didn''t even come up with the name for some reason he just knew that''s what it meant and he knew he had a brother named Bob but he didn''t know how that one worked because he was a dungeon and chunk of rock so he was looking for another dungeon out there named Bob the little information that was inside of his head that it wasn''t his he knew it was there and he didn''t know how it got there but he knew he was a dungeon and that was confirmed by the knowledge in his head what she didn''t want to believe he knew he had a brother out there in the world and he was on a world but now here''s the problem if you''re dungeon and you have someone out there how the hell do you get to them dungeons don''t move do they hold on is gravity a thing okay do I have a hole in my area that I''m yes okay right there bar looked at a small cavity in its area of control and in this little cavity no bigger than 3 cm 4 cm tall and wide Bob will the piece of stone to break off and you could see a crack but it didn''t move and this made no sense he then pushed his will into moving the Little Rock that he had just made on the ceiling and it moved but it didn''t drop out of the ceiling it rolled on top of the ceiling and then bar realized that they were $190¡ã upside down changing point of view in orientation bar tried again to make a piece of stonefall from the ceiling and this time not even trying hard The Rock cracked and The Rock felt okay so we now know which way is up and down now if I remember all my stories from when I was sick and this is weird I still had some of my memories from my last life interesting can I replay like TV in my mind if I get bored I do remember some shows but that''s for another time first the area that I am in can I compact that was a big one from the stories I read can I compact this material well a little bit I thought and you could break it apart but compacting it wasn''t as simple until he thought well what if I punched it I know I don''t have hands but I do have the ability to move stuff with my mind I''ve already proven that they moved in that little pebble so what if I pretend like I''m punching with my mind I''ll rock or a soft piece of sand can I compress it start whatever Montage with the Rocky Eye of the Tiger whatever you like because that''s what bar did for the next 20 minutes and after 20 minutes at little Area no bigger than 4 cm squared was now about 4 ft by 4 ft except for the ceiling which bar on purpose didn''t compress so the process of breaking the ceiling letting it fall to the ground compressing it and doing that very slowly is what bar did until the edge of the area he controlled now he had to try moving up and down this little shaft because could he move from the spot and if not why not and if he had to move something where was it and with that bar tried moving and nothing happened so the next thought was okay where is the center of my mass that I can control let me see if there''s something there like a gem that I have to move like in the other books I''ve read and bar Started digging to the center and after about I guess don''t have time here so after a while and he got to the center there was something there but it was but the size of three grains of sand it was super small but it wouldn''t move so bar said I''m going to compress a small coin size disc except that when he did this he also made a little bit of a bowl in it so he came up with that bull and he was like I''m going to try and carry this and it was so small it was like a smaller than your thumbnail or even pinky nail but the lift just that much was a great strain so it took a while to move that micro bowl next to his core and he moved the core into the bowl then taking some time and moving grain by grain of sand and then somehow connecting them together and it was it took a while to figure out this but when you put sand together and then you focus it doesn''t want to let go so his Focus was his glue which is really weird but hey works so don''t care so it''s like a little creature adding all these little grains of sand to a ball until it was round but it wasn''t very big it was very small actually so it was so much easier to roll this ball so along the entire shaft going up was a sloped incline and bar just very slowly rolled this ball up that hill like Atlas and just kept on rolling it and rolling it and rolling it and the moment that ball moved the whole 30 ft I guess maybe less of material that he could play with move too so this became a neat little trick so the question was how quickly could they make a two to one centimeter diameter round tunnel in front of the ball bar spent the next 4 weeks doing exactly that just moving the ball then working on the tunnel moving the ball working on the tunnel moving the ball working on the tunnel moving the ball working on the tunnel and it just the tunnel was miles long in the end it was huge but the one thing that bar did was kept on making it go up it was super weird because everyone''s awhile there would be really hard Stone up above and then if you go down a little bit and it took a while for bar to realize from old memories that this was probably a water table level that didn''t have any water so going too deep would make water fill the tube which could be useful maybe but for now it just needed to get up and out well that didn''t happen the next thing bar found was superheated Rock above them which made no sense but the higher he went the hotter the rock got so there was a point where it was like nope I don''t think I can play with this but funny enough the closer to the hot rock he got the easier it actually was to manipulate The Rock but he couldn''t pack it down when he did it got super heated it had too much heat already in the material so Barr had to make a decision so bar stopped going the directionHe was going in and backtracked he must have only backtracked maybe $200-500 ft before he found part of the tunnel collapse so we repaired it and he rolled back some more and found another chunk of a while back and didn''t realize we got all the way back to where he started after repairing all the parts that now he had a tunnel so one thing he was getting really good at was looking at the different rock that he was rolling past that was inside of his field of vision and one of the things he had seen during that time kinda on the far end closer to the hot area were a couple of Crystal Caves but they were no bigger than a foot or two across but it was like I want one but later is now so roll back through his tube all the way back to that area and started looking at this beautiful clear and purple crystals something about them just drew him in so he started working his way closer and closer and as you got close and he tried using his abilities he actually saw a little cracks in the gym so he was like oh no I''m hurting the gems I can''t do that and that was just something in his soul that it was like how dare I hurt those gems and it made him laugh that he was saying that''s himself because it was so out of character but it was so like yeah they''re mine now can''t hurt them this made a reaction of moving every grain of sand and every small rock and just moving everything by hand to get to them so the last three or four feet to get to them was tedious and slow going but also gave him a whole lot of practice of moving stuff with his mind I guess or whatever he was using his will when he finally broke in to the crystal area something told him to roll the ball in there and sit in there and as he did he was so so happy he did for the odd reason that the moment he was in there the ball that he had made around his little wisps of energy that were there the little grains of sand the little things they fell out of the ball onto the crystals and they actually went into the crystals and they started actually connecting all the crystals and making the crystals alive so now these crystals were actually alive and you could see the little moats moats of energy kind of flowing and swimming through the crystal and everywhere they swam it either fixed it cleaned it up made it sharper even started growing little bits but the best part I mean the absolute best part was 30 ft was it''s limited seat now that was a zero after that that''s three 300 feet around it and it saw more little pockets so for the next probably week two weeks not too sure bar just started making little tunnels without moving the moats but little tunnels because after he connected one area to that first chunk of crystals it was almost like a gas or a a liquid or something was flowing through there and he could see something it wasn''t the most themselves it was something they were giving off from the crystals but as soon as that flowed into the other Crystal Chambers the moats are like oh my goodness we know that there''s crystals there and they would fly through the tunnels at high speed to the other crystals and then start swimming through them and then there was like 40 or 50 little chunks of crystals all together and it was about 8,000 ft wide a diameter of the amount of material that bar could see and it was amazing cuz bar stool wasn''t at the surface bar realized off to one side there''s got to be a volcano and then down below there was water in another area so bar instantly knew we can make Steam so he can make it pressure vessel so he can blow his way out if he needed to and well why not so what he did was he checked with the Motes and he could tell that he could tell the crystals not to become broken or loose but to become one with the chunk they were inAnd become solidified after that was done bar worked on making the tunnels between them all come down like a family tree to the one that was at the lowest point and as he did that they basically brought all the crystal chunks together into one big chunk and the moment they started touching each other and combining and went from 8,000 ft to 8,500 ft 8,500 9000 as they started connecting it started making the range bigger so the larger chunk was better than a smaller chunk until about 99% connected up that last little bit it just went dark and wasn''t wanted and then something happened to the large amalgamation of crystals asamos just started flying through them the crystals themselves started liquefying and it was a solid outside with a liquid inside so as long as they were touching another Crystal that liquid flow from one Crystal to the nether Crystal to the other until the shell on the outside look like the original shape but what was inside was giant swirling mass of glowing silvery Crystal liquid and it was draining into its middle it was shrinking it was getting smaller it was getting denser it was getting clear until in the very middle of it was about a foot big diamond and it was around 10,000 feet wide it was the diameter that it could sense and manipulate and now it had a core but how the hell is it going to move this core so a new exactly what to do. it started making more tunnels and this started the roller coaster ride that would be how it collected all of its treasure before it came to the surface it would just roll around and find minerals and it would have layer after layer after layer of titanium Platinum uranium everything you could think of thank God the light was on top of the uranium and but that was also a thing like who''s going to break in through lead and through uranium to get to my dungeon core I am protected you touch me you die and it knew it was safe for now *************************** It was about 7 days after bar had solidified its 18 layers to its core and now rolled around as a giant bowling ball of death because anywhere it went it could see except it hadn''t found the the surface yet so it is still plugging along and then it came across a Chasm and that is the nicest way to put it an absolute drop into the world and it went down down down and the moment bar popped the tunnels hole in there the pressure differential actually push bar a couple of Miles back and had to it was just so much pressure coming down this little tube This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. as soon as Barr got close enough for his range could see it it was so deep it went out of his range so bar had to make a choice and it was simple follow it so following the chasm bar was an in a very interesting position here so What bar did was make a ramp going up and down following the chasm on an angle that was steep enough to make it fast but not too steeper he couldn''t push it the bowling marble up and down this hill the best part is as the ball would roll down the hill down the tunnel the 8,000 ft radius that he had around himself would move so as he was started to go down he started to see it get wire so he pushed the tunnel back farther until he realized he was on the roof of a giant Cavern and he could I want to say see the bottom but only at times it was like looking at the top of mountains like he was above all of it he was more than 8,000 feet up so this was huge so the next question is how did he want to get down if he wanted to get down and how did he get back up and the thought of just putting green a sand by Green of sand from the ceiling down felt like he could do it but wow that would either be very time consuming and tedious or it just felt unnecessary there''s a better way of doing it then the idea of polarizing a large amount of stone or moving sand and letting it fall came to his mind now if you could just take that he could use that to drop down onto Sand or even just follow it down like a river and then when he got down dig down into the ground so that he could be safe again and then he could find a woman come back up might as well at this point but one of the things he noticed was he could see the top of another Mountain as he rolled around in this path along the ceiling it was a snow covered mountain top so what the hell he picked this spot because it was the closest but he had to prep a lot and I mean a lot of sand and because he could just barely touch the tip of this mountain with his ability he was able to make a little bit of a bowl so when the sand hit it would kind of pile up this would hopefully stop his fall and as soon as bar had enough sand piled up in the ceiling he opened up a hole and as it started to flow out he watched it and as it hit it made the Splash and then bar opened up the hole even more and the sand floats so much faster that bar said screw it let''s go for a ride and jumped in basically let himself be sucked in with the sand and it just started to flow the sizing new instantly when he hit the mountain it did not stop the thud and a lot of the layers actually cracked so embedding himself into the top of the mountain wasn''t right it was embedding himself into the sand and as the sand around him moved he kind of got a little freaked out so he worked as hard as he could to solidify the softer layers like the gold one and the lead ones just just to stop it from well irritating everything and number two from well he didn''t want his quarter break after about 2 minutes of repairing the little micro cracks all over were fixed and bar finally took the time to look around and he was on top of a mountain and this mountain was about 8,000 plus feet tall because he could see the mountain and the Corvette in the core of it was so warm it wasn''t Magma but what it was was a porous rock that allowed heat to transfer from down below up above through I guess gas or something and the whole Mountain at the bottom melted the snow and that rose up into the air which then cool didn''t dropped onto the top of the mountain to make the snow Peaks which then once enough snow fell it would go down the mountain and melt all over again it was its own ecosystem in here when it was huge so far worked his way under the ground just enough so that he wouldn''t get picked on by anything and he could just keep an eye on everything and started making his tunnels and all the way down the bottom to the mountain and then into the surrounding areas and this was kilometers square like this is a huge underground Cavern bar took the next 6 months and basically made pass all around the cave bottom and up the walls and this was bars little home his first home he claimed it as his land his property and the cool thing was that it was a little ecosystem it was like life in a jar and the nice thing is as he added little bits of water here and there and diverted the water from this spot to that spot little things would grow and he never found any monsters or anything like that but there was a little bits of plant life and the lack of light down there prevented too much from growing but found found something that he was ready to play with but said he was going to play down here first before he went with this plan one day while he was traveling near the mountain that he came in on he knew that it was very porous but what he didn''t really realize it was down below was a large amount of black rock that for some reason he really wanted but he didn''t know why me no sense so it was just a weird impulse but he wanted to come back and check it out and he had this one tunnel that always pass by this and he noticed one day that anytime he could he would take that tunnel and he didn''t know why but he realized that it must be something in that rock pulling them to it that it was asking him to come there and well he said screw it and it was time to go see what that black rock was and when I say black rock I''m talking a football fields worth of porous black lava rock nothing special to his thinking or understanding so as soon as he got closer to it in his tunnel he just stopped and he said okay it''s in this direction I can see a little bit of it so let''s build a tunnel so he started working a tunnel and swear to goodness the moment he started building that tunnel he knew it was the right thing to do like he was 112% sure this he knew something was up and he had drawn to it the only other time he felt like this was with Crystal so there must be some something in there that his body wanted As the last of the little tunnel for the bowling ball for was opened something in bar changed and the next thing he knew his bowling ball without him even thinking to do it was moving towards the Black Rock and as soon as it got to it it stopped and it just kept on trying to push into the black rock and it was bar doing it but bar wasn''t doing this bars feelings were doing this bar wanted it that feeling of want need was there so bar just started making a path through this rock and it was soft but a little bit hard and it was porous and then it happened he broke a chunk of rock up to push it off because it was so poor she had to like break it down and inside of it was a sliver no bigger than a pencil lead but it was a diamond and that little diamond it touched the ball and it stuck and it wouldn''t let go and the feeling that it was there was just that of drugs of whatever you want to call it an absolute drug Think of Ryan Reynolds with an unlimited Visa card and the right to buy cocaine that''s what this was this was an unknown amount of time rolling around through this material breaking it up and collecting them until the outside of the dungeon core look like a disco ball the weird part was that this didn''t improve the distance at all but what it did do was make it so the dungeon core could feel energy being dumped into it from the shell so it tried putting some steel and gold on basically every single one of the little gems on one side got something put over top of it and what bar figured out was that if he covered them then they didn''t do anything they were protected but they didn''t do anything they didn''t give him any type of energy or or feeling of of juice being dumped into him but at the same time he realized that if he solidified them and made him so that any of the points were pointed out because they were so hard they would actually act as kind of rock drills in softer Rock and he can literally just pushes way through softer stuff like sand and it was a great traction when that area that had the diamonds in it was all empty fire took himself back to his cave and instead of going underground was literally rolling around on top rolling over plants over everything and he realized that if he spreaded the biomass around that maybe he could figure out how to make the plants grow faster when he had come back to the cave for the first time after being covered in diamonds he had realized that the closer he was to living things the more he got energy and this energy allowed him to push on things harder and move himself more and compressed stuff more and it was just it made him feel not hungry anymore more full if you will a small Pastime that bar had been doing was looking for the surface but every time he would go up into his tunnels up in the ceiling and he had made his way back up there a while back he would keep on going and digging and he just still haven''t found anything but hard rock and then some dirt but still hard rock above his head and above that some dirt so trying to get through that hard rock it didn''t really want to compress so he still was looking but he had a weird Pastime in the ceiling of his cave where he had come down that one time was still open and he had been slowly making a kind of ramp or a little perch area underneath there and putting it all together and he could now go and hang out on the ceiling where the light was coming from and what he noticed it was just Moss Mazda been growing up on there that was bioluminescent so you thought well if I''m all shiny and reflective and he made sure he was as reflective as possible underneath the diamonds he was like I''m a damn disco ball And he didn''t need to sleep but he did want to slow down and just relax sometimes and just find a place where he could chill and the little perch he made it open to Atmosphere so that when he was down there when he just went and relaxed it spread the light from the Moss all over the cavern and because he had gone and mowed everything down and it spread the biological on everything around that it was now getting a little bit more light and well after a couple of months of this he had green moss everywhere and it was quite beautiful and that was around the same time where one of his trips up into the ceiling paid off because he had followed the crack as far as he could but even that stopped into the Hard Rock kind of he had gotten as high as he could and hit the Hard Rock and very slowly what he had been doing had been digging a tunnel but it wasn''t a full tunnel because it allowed him to dump a little bit of the rock out but it was so small that he couldn''t fall out the tunnel so he was literally riding the ceiling very gently and he doing the slowly up through where the crack was and the crack was like maybe three feet at most so I got smaller and smaller as he went up so this was getting a little trickier as soon as he came to the end of the crack and it was no more a crack than two pieces of rock coming together and a crack between the two of them he had to make a decision what to do so he made a base right there and what I mean my base is he just dug a straight little line into the deep rock which took him almost 3 days to do which is like 5 ft in that was it and he just sat there and he then said okay this is what I''m going to do I''m going to make a tunnel that''s spiral that I can slowly go up and I''m going to just slowly do that in the middle of the Spiral I''m going to eat away and let it just fall out the bottom and that''s exactly what he did so he opened up the bottom and he just let the all the garbage fall down it took minimum 2 years maybe three at this point I don''t know to dig all the way up and all the way through but in the end he had come across many more little caves that had some really cool crystals and he I got them into his shell but never absorb them because if he absorbed them that might extend his range but any crystals he found it seemed to work with the diamonds to give him more power and he needed that to dig through the harder Stone so he just kept on adding them to the outside and anymore of the metal she found he added that to the inside so at this point he was the size of a person 6 ft in diameter if not a little bit more so the tunnel had to get bigger over time and it was it was wow it it was just a giant Dragon''s egg of jewels and precious metals it was amazing and it just slowly dug up and moved and dug up and moved and dug up and moved to one day and this was too cool it found dirt dirt after digging through all that rock was like nothing it could do it without even thinking so it would move through the dirt like a 1980s horror creature called a critter it would just literally burrow but it would leave a tunnel behind them like a worm or a sand snake this is also where so much water was found and it started draining down through the rock into his cave all the way down he didn''t really care at the same time he was a little sad that his first home He then thought oh no this is going to get interesting because where he deflected the diamonds was super hot this water would all expand and might even explode so he decided to go up to the surface as far as he could to see what was above him he really didn''t like moving through water cuz it didn''t help it always push against him when he pushed through it so it was twice as hard if not more just to move around material that was wet and then sometimes it was super simple but it not usually had to be the right consistency to make it right and this was never that it was always thicker there''s never enough water so as he went up he went through at least two if not three water tables and some Stone and it took a couple of days to go up so we realize he wasn''t anywhere close to the surface until he actually reached the surface and when he reach the surface he started to feel roots and plants and trees and then his sphere of influence broke the surface he only had to go up another 10 to 20 ft before he was looking at a forest and he was coming up from below a forest so he came up to 100 ft from the surface and what he found was that he now could see from a bird''s eye view 8,000 ft up and he looked over the whole area and he could see nothing but for us except for one spot where he saw fire coming from one spot far far far in the distance around the side of a mountain and another Valley off to the side so he knew that''s the way humans were and he knew that no one was over here so he thought well I''m cleaning this land is my own this is my dungeon this is my land and now shortly I''m going to have hot water coming up so he decided he needed to make a reservoir and he worked on right where he had dug his spiral up to actually make a reservoir to collect all that Steam and then he hauled out a tree and made it so the steam would come out the top of the tree in this tree was of course already dead So anytime he saw a steam coming out of this tree he knew that something was happening down below and he would check on it so that was neat but he also realized that now he can play with trees and trees were so easy to carve and cut up and make into pieces but he really couldn''t do much more than Japanese building techniques because he had no metal nail so everything was made out of wood so knowing how to do stuff he literally carved an area that''s 100 ft circular out of the forest Chopped all the trees down Chopped all the leaves off and it was kind of beautiful to see the type of precision that he could do with the wood took all the branches that were a certain diameter and thinner and cut them all off and moved them off to one side and he actually turned it into a pulp and put it off into a pile and he pulled the actual trees like making paper pulp and it was something you could do by punching it like he did it was like breaking it down it was so weird they could do that but I don''t want you to figure it out the rest of the trees got cut into Lumber and it was the weirdest thing to see a dungeon lifting a log that it would take 20 people to left just into the air and then taking two other logs putting one into the ground packing down it was like a ghost was doing it you just watched the air build and bar remembered the old days and his love for stuff so what he made was a Roadhouse a place to get food booze and if need a place to sleep and with that the badass Roadhouse was alive for the next who knows how many years the Roadhouse would take over not just the forest but would dig tunnels underneath the entire Countryside into the mountains and all over the place making Little Road houses wherever it wanted to near other places so if there was a town or something special like an ancient graveyard you would go along the roads that would pop up and yes roads would literally pop up where it would just be open land for like 20 ft wide and there would be no trees no nothing and it''ll just be small plants growing but they never grow more than I can fit tall and you can tell this was a path and it was really weird because you could see animals grazing on these past all the time now but these Road houses were all over the places and there was no one managing them they were just there and there was nothing in them it was just a place to sleep and every once in awhile you could find stuff that others had left and it was nice being able to walk in and having a couple extra cans of something or some field rations and you put it in the Box and there''d be another box that had someone who was just there a day or two or three ago cuz they''re so fresh bag of potatoes and carrots and even if you stayed there for a couple days sometimes that stuff would show up which was the cool part everybody talked about so everybody loved hanging out these places but they were in the middle of nowhere almost every time they were on the road that''s why they were called The Roadhouse and that''s what everybody called them the road houses but no one knew where they come from or why they were there it wasn''t until Bob came to his first Roadhouse did the magic of the Road houses come to life chapter 2 - B.O.B - V&M Vicky and Mark grew up in Westbury a small town where they had only one Baker one butcher that type of small town but as they were growing up they actually lost some friends to monsters and other animals so they were more of the Wilderness shoot and kill them hunt them type of people so realize that these are people that then for themselves to get their own Meats they they do a lot of stuff themselves so every home''s like that it''s a very small community Vicky and Mark grew up together fell in love and even at a young age the town just knew the two of them were a couple and as they got older their parents help build them a small little house just around the side of the Hill from their own house so they can always be close Vicky and Mark had a little bit of a secret that not too many people in town knew about their parents of course knew and the mayor knew and by mayor I mean the chief so what happened was after they got married the two of them took a little bit of a honeymoon they told everybody what they really did is they went to the Big Town they signed up to be adventures and they started doing adventuring and what is adventuring in this world well it''s basically creatures that might appear here and there they don''t really know what they are and if those things attack a village people will call for help that''s an adventurers do they all so explore the world making maps and finding things that have been lost because there''s been so many wars and so many great fires that have just decimated entire areas that they don''t have great records so the two of them went to the major city of Sylvan and after doing some adventuring they came home they brought a lot of money back with them so they''re pretty much retired in their home at the moment and they just have to leave every once in awhile to go do some adventuring and make some cash the chief / mayor found out about this when Mark''s dad got drunk one night and let it slip so the mayor now holds that over them cuz they look at the adventures as lower people but not realizing that these two kids are already retired so it''s just a point of mind but he then throws them quests all around town and he has been for the last 10-15 years the cool thing that they never tell anybody about was the road houses that was a secret that only people that found them or the adventuring Guild talked about what are the roadhouses well they say about 20 odd years maybe 25 years ago little buildings would a pop up along the roads and they were a really simple little bar sometimes it would have stuff inside of it sometimes it wouldn''t but it was a copy of the same building every time they found it now everyone smile they''d be going down a trail and then off to the side it would be perfectly clear cut like a path and if you follow that path you would find another one of these Road houses and that''s it everybody started calling them because they were always found on the road and they were a place where you could crash for the night and there was a couple of weird things about these Road houses above the door on every single one said Roadhouse in two languages one language that everybody could read and another language no one could understand inside the roadhouse there was an open air bar and I mean it was a saloon it looked just like a saloon you go upstairs and there was bedrooms down on the main floor there''s a fireplace so if you Needed to do some cooking you could It wasn''t until this last year when they had taken a trip into Sylvan to update their Guild membership and pay their dues that they had come across one of the other people they had met and they are all started talking about the road houses when their friend Bob who had never been a member of the adventuring Guild before this was literally his first week being shown around by Marvin the one they were talking to so Bob''s there being super quiet no one''s even noticing he''s really there he''s been introduced and all that but they start talking about the road houses and Bob''s never seen her doesn''t know what they''re talking about these Road houses Marvin looks over and explains to Bob that but 20 maybe 25 years ago a whole lot of buildings appeared and no one knows who built them but they''re almost identical and I mean people have been checking and this brought up the point where Vicky and Mark started chiming in with their information and after a while of talking the three of them realized that one piece of information was always different now on the main floor off into a corner there is like a little area that was like a private table and chair four chairs Everybody that went there looked around but it wasn''t until you sat at that table and you looked at what people had carved in it that you realize that there was a couple of lines carved in it there was no anything special but that was the only thing that would change so Vicky being smart one of the group and paper was an expensive thing but they had been making enough money adventuring for the last couple years that she kept a little bit of a notebook with her she had started writing down what she found on the different tables in each of the Road houses because each Roadhouse this one table had different writing on it so they pull out their little notebook and Vicky starts showing what they''ve got but it was Bob that actually figured it out he asked Vicky if he could steal two pieces of paper from her from the back of her book she was reluctant but agreed and then taking a charcoal pen is what they use nowadays to draw on he ripped up the two pieces of paper into four smaller pieces of paper of equal size and then copied the lines onto the little pieces of paper they only had the images from four different Road houses but if you took the lines from one it matched another one and it made an L shape so one above one below one below one to the right and Bob lined it all up and you could see that when you put it like that it showed a mountain and this mountain had one line always going towards this one point up the mountain from each one of the drawings but that one line alone would never have given you a direction or anything there was only two big mountains in the area and they had actually taken three of the sketchings from three Road houses along the side of a mountain so Bob now very curious asked Marvin when they were going out and when the next time he could go to one of these Road houses Marvin apologized and said that he was going to be in town for the next two months on a contract but looked over at Vicky and Mark and asked where they were going next and if they needed an extra newbie to show the ropes? Vicky and Mark just looked at each other smiled and said sure we''re going to go over to West Palm to deliver the mail then come back through here and then go back to Westbury on the way back to Westbury they were going to go and visit one of the Road houses and see if they could find any more little pieces of information hidden Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. Bob thanked them and the conversation kept on going but the next conversation was a question tomorrow about anything that he had found inside behind the bar Marv didn''t understand why they were asking so Vicky explained that out of every single one of the Roadhouse is they''ve gone to they always find something behind the bar now they don''t know if they leave it or someone else does but if they take something they make a rule of trying to leave something so this was Bob and Mars first time hearing this Rule and they agreed to it and there''s some other people in the bar that knew of what that was going on and no offense it was allowed place so people were ease dropping and you even had one guy that was just a foot away from the group just goes up and interrupt their Conversation and then go back to his own conversation later on that day Bob thanked Mar for all the help and let the guild know what was going on and got put on to Vicky and Mark''s team properly. one of the rules for the guild was that a new person wasn''t allowed just to go out into the bush by themselves they would have to get another adventure to allow them to accompany them and then sign off that they were at least qualified to travel by themselves and if not they would be teamed up with another new recruit after their evaluation and some training so that I at least there would be two of them going out together Bob was doing that too with Marv so after this he was in the hopes this would begin his solo trip but for now he was going to go and see one of these roadhouses the trip to deliver the mail and then head to the Roadhouse only took a day and a half and they literally just ran the horses grabbed a new horses and then ran them back and when they got back to town here they grabbed their horses that they had stable for the night they did this every once in awhile just to make some extra coin and it was good coin delivering the mail for the government so everybody had done their job and they even threw Bob his proper percentage cuz it''s a three-way cut so something like 17 silver which was awesome for Bob who it didn''t have a lot of money it was super happy at this point Bob then paid a silver to rent a horse for one night and gave them a second silver in case he had to drop the horse off a day late this was looked at as a sign of respect so the stable hand who also knew Bob was like thanks man keep it keep it safe and come back alive with this the three of them took off to the Roadhouse they trotted up to it it literally looked like an old school Saloon but kind of more modern there was a place to tie up your horse there''s even a place to put water in a trough that was empty so Bob without even having to be told when around back looking for a water pump and he found it except that this water pump was foot powered and if you just stood on the chunk of stone the pipe would just dump out water and Bob had never seen this before this was something magical literally there was no way to explain how this worked it was just a pipe coming out of the ground and if you put a bucket under the opening of the pipe it filled with water till you took the bucket off it was amazing there was also two buckets beside the pipe so Bob took a bucket filled it up with water took it back and made sure the horses had something to drink and he told Vicky and Mark who had looked many times and it even seen that weird pipe but they didn''t understand what it was so when Bob explained what he had found they were kind of Blown Away realizing that like they thought it was nothing there was always just a piece of metal coming out of the ground someone had put in not realizing it was a water pump the horses got a lot of water because Vicky and Mark both went back there to try it out and use that make more water for the horses and they even brought some water in so they can get cleaned up after the long haul and this made themselves so much happier because they never at the couple times they''ve been here and never thought that that was water it kind of felt silly but it wasn''t until Bob walked in did all the weirdness happen before Bob could even touch the door to open it it almost opened on its own and before he could close it it closed on its own it was very magical he couldn''t explain it but things were moving and there was no wind it was creepy it was just odd and Bob knew it now Bob had been introduced to Vicky and Mark as Bob that but that wasn''t Bob''s birth name it was Jebediah and for many years Jebediah didn''t have a problem with his name until one night he had a dream about meeting an old man without a face sitting on the log in a vast nothingness with white floors and black Skies who talked about Dungeons and a man named Bob From that day on Jebediah asked everybody just to call him Bob and to him that was his name it wasn''t until Mark yelled from the upstairs down to Bob hey Bob do you know what room you want? that was like a magic word because the moment his name was said the ghost of the Roadhouse rolled in and the Roadhouse came to life all the shutters opened all the lights that were by candle turned on and lit the upstairs bathroom started filling tubs with perfectly hot but not scolding water and a glass from behind the bar and a rag started floating behind the bar and the rag started polishing the glass like a bartender would do Bob just stood there watching this not knowing what the hell was going on and because he was so freaked out Mark who had been waiting for an answer look down and saw that the place had come to life and saw the floating glass and the cloth and the windows open and everything and just yelled for Vicky when Vicky came down and saw what was going on she ran around looking she even tried touching the glass in the air before she could touch it it moved out of her line of touch and kept on cleaning the glass 4 seconds later it put the glass down and the rag down and everything kind of just stopped the lights were still on but the magic had died down Bob just looked at them and said what the hell is going on you never said anything about this what the hell Vicky and Mark both were just Blitz they didn''t know what the hell was going on and they openly said this is never happened before this is the first time behind the bar was a mirror and no offense it was Dusty and old and all of sudden on the back mirror in the dust an invisible finger was writing out welcome Bob and then like a ghost had blown it all the lights out all the lights went out together and only the Sun from outside lit up the place except for one candle just above for Bob was standing and then that after about 3 to 5 Seconds it went out to well that spooked the three of them pretty much and for the next couple of hours they didn''t know if they wanted to stay or leave so they actually left Bob decided he was going to stay so Vicky and Mark said okay they''d stay too After that they went to do what they normally would do and one of the things was to take water and go have a cold shower / bath / sponge bath well when Vicky found two tubs full of hot water she screamed and everybody thought she was losing her s*** and something was wrong so Mark and Bob both ran to her only to find her stripping naked and Mark had to stop Bob from coming in after he said no no it''s okay it''s okay don''t come in¡ Bob just turned around and didn''t worry about it and Mark just said what''s going on and she says hot water and that''s all she had to say Mark yelled down the stairs to Bob Bob Vicky found hot water there''s a bathtub up here for you after we''re done we won''t take too long we''ll use one tub you get the other one okay man Bob was like sure so Vicky took her time but once she was done Mark called bob up and Mark and Bob both got into their own tubs and just soak there using the last of the hot water the three of them threw some food on the fireplace and that night they talked about the Roadhouse and they looked at the special table with special markings and just before the sun went down they went out back and saw something they hadn''t realized on the table with the markings it showed a path up into the Hills well there was actually a path but it was only a foot wide but it was a perfectly cut foot and if you weren''t looking for it you wouldn''t find it so they said tomorrow we''re going to go for a walk in the bush and go see what we can find at the end of this path they all agreed and went to bed that night bar had been keeping an eye on them while they were in The Roadhouse but knowing what they were going to do tomorrow bar picked one of his tunnels and rolled up into his Mountain and waited for his guests to arrive¡. CH3 The next day Mark Vicky and Bob packed up everything and the Roadhouse had been quiet ever since last night so no more magic no more ghosts but they knew something was special here and Mark had a feeling that Bob the magically happened when he was around so they were going to keep him as their lucky charm so they decided let''s go for that walk up into the bush so after they packed all their stuff up but left the heavy stuff at the roadhouse they went for a hike they were on the side of a mountain and each Roadhouse showed a map that led up into the mountains and they kind of all led to the same area once you realized it so they found behind the Roadhouse a very very small animal path that you would not even know is there unless you were looking for it and you had to be at least 5 ft into the bush before you''d even see it once you saw it you knew something was weird because there was just no trees there was plants and everything but there was no trees in this one line and it was just enough for about a width of a human being''s hips when Vicky noticed it she called everybody over and as they looked at this Trail they were all little puzzled because this was a world where they didn''t have technology like lawn mowers or weed wackers someone would have to come here and do this manually and this look like not a groom Trail but just it was planned like this was not? this was abnormal . They hiked up the mountain for about 2 hours and what they found at the end of the trail was not 100% unexpected it was a cabin if you would call it a cabin there was half of a cabin but it looked like it came right out of the Rock so as they got near to it they noticed that there was no front door so they looked in what looked back at them scared the living crap out of all of them cuz it wasn''t what you would expect the inside of the cabin look like it was not a cabin it was a roof over the entrance to a cave and in that cave bigger than a human being was a spider but the spider was wearing knitted cloth pinks and blues so very unnatural until it waved at them and in a very broken Voice it said hello this freaked out Mark Vicky and Bob but they were so freaked out that they just didn''t move and the spider just said okay I''m going back to knitting and literally was knitting clothes inside of its little cabin in its cave it was very odd because the spider was normal and non-violent which is odd the only monsters they knew of were in the wild and would come in and kill animals so to have a talking spider their whole world just got thrown upside down it wasn''t until the spider heard a Marvel in a little machine inside the cabin move did it get excited and you could hear it in the spiders voice as three marbles in this little machine moved on their own into three spots inside the machine the spider looked at it and kind of read it like a Ouija board the spider said out loud oh I think I understand these three are your friends and they''re here to see you okay I''ll be nice to them Bob looked over at Mark and asked who''s the spider talking to? the spider overheard Bob and said do you not know of the spirit of the mountain? it just clicked for Mark and Vicky was still a little out of it being so freaked out by the spider but Mark went oh that''s What was making all the magic at the roadhouse yesterday it was the spirit of the mountain if I''m right the spider it was still holding its little machine and another marble moved into a spot and you heard a little click as the marble fell into place the spider looked down and said yep that was the spirit of the mountain.Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. What happened next literally shook Margaret?to the core becausein her little cabin on the wall, was a marble the size of a human head, but it was inlaid into the wall. It can only move up and down, and it was really weird. It was just like it was perfectly carved into stone and you could never have it fall out. It had the edges wrapped around it so that it could go up and down and only thatSo think of a very large metronome kind of machine andit never moves until that.dayAnd that''s when the spirit of the mountain lifted up that marble gently and then dropped it that.thud from that stone made Margaret''s head whip right around and look at the stone. Vicki looked at Margaret and asked what was that. Margaret so freaked out not even thinking just answered the question. I worked with the dungeon a long time ago to make these little devices so I could understand what it wanted and all it has to do is move a marble into the answer it wantsbut it also made a couple of these really big marbles here, but these.ones were if an emergency happens, you''ll hear this one. If this is happening, you''ll hear this one. They''re very rare that I''ve ever heard one of these being used. And the one that just was used.was family.but only one use of it. So only one of you is familyWhich one of you The last little bit was said.almost not with venom, but with pure not dislike or untrust, but just the need to know which one was the family member. Her family, the spirits of the mountain''s family. As you can guess, Mark and Vicky both went up and nothing happened. But when Bob went up, the marble didn''t go up a little bit. It hit the **** roof, came down so hard it shattered. Margaret jumped out of the way as it came down from the flying debris and was freaked out. So yeah, Margaret realized that Bob was her new family.in a weird way, she realized she wasn''t alone any more. She had one more person in her family other than just her in the mountain. Bob didn''t know what to.make of this.butWhen Margaret started talking and explaining more about the mountain and the spirit in it, and then the moment she told him about the dream with the old man on the log.Bob knew instantly she wasn''t lying, and he remembered his part, and he told her his part of his dream. Vicki and Mark were real freaked out at this. And at this point they were not interested. They were getting unhappy, but they were happy for Bob, but they just, this was way out of their pay grade. They were not comfortable with this, not this was not their life. They had done their adventuring. This is.This is above their pay grade. They just wanted to go get drunk at this point. Bob could read the room. He was at least good at that, and he had calmed down enough to realize that he had to get away from here because he didn''t know what to do or what to say, but he knew one thing to do and that was ask his mom and dad for help. Bob very politely looked over at Margaret and said I hope you understand I''m going to take these two back and I have to go talk to my parents and if they say it''s OK, I''ll come back and we''ll talk some more. Margaret was going to protest for a second there, but all of a sudden all the marbles.that around Margaret started to just gently movein all of their spots. Margaret knew this was how the dungeon was trying to get her attention and say, hey, hey, hey, hey. Margaret realized this and calm down and said I understand I will be here when you come back. But if you don''t come back before it gets cold, I have to go into the mountain where I live. So come.So come here and she pointed at one of the marbles on the wall.and said take this marble and push it through that hole there. And if you have to use a stick but shove it through the hole so it rolls past there. OK, that''s how you get a hold of me while I''m inside. Bob thought that was absolutely odd, but understood and said, okay, thank youAnd just turned around, and Vicki and Mark, who had been to kind of passengers in this conversation, just kind of followed along behind him and said goodbye andbefore.they actually leftone last marble moved into the Ouija board and moved over to two different spots, and it just kept on going back from spot 1 to spot 3 to spot 1 to spot 3. When they all heard the sound, they all looked over at Margaret, who was looking down at the Ouija board. And then.put it down, walked kinda three feet to the left, over to a cupboard, opened it up, pulled a little Bundle.of something made out of yarn and handed.it handed it over to Vicki and Justice said as a going away gift. Congratulations. Vicki knew what those words meant, so she just took the bundle and said thank you and bowed out. Mark on their way down, asked Vicky what that was about because he was a little confused.and she hit him in the arm.in the arm almost freaking hard enough to leave dents. You idiot. You forgot to take your birth control, didn''t you? She asked him. He looked her dead in the eyes and just said **** 0.**** So Mark and Vicky definitely were not going on adventure now because they are just supposed to start the adventure of parenthood. Yay for them, giggles. Ha ha ha. So the three of them came down from the mountain, took some time at the roadhouse to get cleaned U an, ready to go, and they just bailed back to town. Honestly, they didn''t even sleep the night. They just got all the way back to town. Vicki and Mark left Bob and Bob took his horse and basically.went home. He had to talk to his mom and dad and explain what was going on. And he was vibrating. He was so.freaked out knowing that his dreams were real. And there''s something else going on. And there was a spirit of the mountain. And there was magic and he was justthe Energizer Bunny on crack cocaine with a side order of good chocolate. He was just buzzing. CH4 Margaret the spider and an old man on a log as the old man sat there on the log around the fire in the endless void where the sky was white and the ground was black or was the sky black in the ground is white? another Spirit came out of the Mist that surrounds the whole place and Just wandered around the old man could see probably a hundred different ghosts spirits entities Souls whatever you want to call them come in and going from the fog one of them came over to one of the logs surrounding the fire and sat down the old man smiled is very rare for one of the spirits to take a moment of introspective clarity that was the only time he could honestly talk to them so he basically just started with hello and who might you be she without even thought replied Margaret and ask where she was and if she was dead he chuckled softly and apologized to her but said yeah I believe you are dead but that''s not the end all you have to do is walk back into the fog to be reborn they seemed to come Margaret down and she just enjoyed sitting there for an hour a day a week a second time didn''t really flow correctly here it was the Nexus of All Souls the Old Man looking at her and had looked at so many of the spirits over the years could tell small things like if she was a little more solid she had a better Karma than if she was more see through the ones that were see through had very bad karma and when they went through the fog the bad ones didn''t have a lot of material left to create their new bodies so it was a smarter idea to be a good person get a lot of your spiritual form and then be reborn and hopefully a better body because the old man needed some help and he liked Margaret so far he asked her what do you want to do when you are reborn do you know what didn''t you like about your last life? she sat there and thought about it and then simply answered ¡° I liked to teach and I know it''s a little weird but I like spiders I didn''t have a family I was very alone so I would like a family in the next life I wasn''t beaten or abused but I was bullied when I was at school so I''d like to be stronger than I was last time other than that I don''t know I just really like being in my little room reading and learning and even writing I created leatherworking and I was a Craftsman I think I''d still like to be a Craftsman the old man just smiled and passed her clean into her handStolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. she took the coin and asked him what she was to do with the coin he just said hold it tight and make a wish and then throw it into the fog she stood up turned around closed her eyes Wrapped both hands around the coin and wished for a good new life then like a pictures throw she threw that coin as hard as she could into the fog She then looked back at him and he said good luck just walk into the fog After an unknown amount of time the old man just smiled and looked up at the fog and said to himself I was getting bored but now this will get a little bit more interesting I wonder how far they''ll get before I see them again and maybe next time they''ll do better than this time the smile on His face was of pure joy evil mirth happiness and love it just was pure smile it would make the Joker fearful ******************************* Margaret didn''t know where she was all she knew was she could feel other babies fetuses small things in a bubble pushing up against her and she had eight legs that was the first thing that kind of freaked her out that lasted about 2 days where at that point one of the other spiders clung on to her and hugged her at that point the odd feeling of everybody pushing up against her in the sack changed from Fear To Love and somehow as she grew she understood that she was feeling all her family and Mom all around her it was telepathic so a telepathic spider kinda well she doesn''t know how long she was in there but Margaret grew bigger and bigger until she couldn''t take it anymore and her brothers and sisters pushing up against her they were all pushing so hard that all of a sudden they felt all the pressure relief and light come in as a whack of spiders fell out took her a couple of moments but she pushed her way out ahead of some of the other ones and as she left the egg Sac she saw it was still attached to her dead mom her mom gave up her life for all the little babies she gave her mom a hug and left no more to be done here plus watching her brothers and sisters eating her mom she just didn''t feel right and she had to run away she was in Earth tunnels Underground and that''s where she stayed for at least days weeks as she got bigger it wasn''t until after her third and she ate that she had found and followed the tunnels up and out did she found the sky and when she saw the sky she saw the night sky but in the night sky wasn''t the Earth''s moon there was seven moons in the sky and a giant planet like a gas giant it was she just sat there looking at it until the sun came up her next couple of weeks were learning how to be a spider how to eat how to feed she made nuts she made webs she worked her butt off but it wasn''t until she killed something bigger than her did she come and find out that this world she was in was a little more different because she got the following message popped up in her vision
Welcome child you have grown up enough that you should have enough intelligence to understand these words if you do understand these words please jump up and down three times I the system will recognize that and understand that you can see this prompt thank you
thank you I hear by recognize that you have jumped three times and can read this message this gives you a plus one to intelligence
you may be asking yourself why is there a box in front of my vision right now and what do you mean plus one to intelligence?
Margaret saw this and had to stop and think for a second this is like a video game except there was nothing to touch or push she took one of her legs and touch the screen in her eyes and went right through didn''t do a thing so she realized it must just be visual and sensory so she could see it but I''m guessing no one else could see what she was seeing she then went back to looking at the text boxes that were popping up in front of her and as she read it the next one would pop up and the one she just read would close but if she thought back to the one right before it would pop back up so she still had access to them all like a rododial CH5
As you''re intelligence does not match your current numerical values and never will at the beginning the system will now spend one solar rotation one day on scanning you at this time we recommend that you do as much physical activity as you can kill as much as you can Harvest as much as you can and do anything that you can to show the system that you can because if you can then you will and if you will it you can

The following information is given to all Sapient life on this planet as they come to age into not maturity but childhood, this planet was once a dead and lifeless solar system with no living planets on it your great ancestors came here and populated this world with people and life and hidden somewhere was a machine to offer what you would call Magic to the planet
in the beginning everybody could use magic however they wanted but do the fact that some people used it to kill other people and almost destroy the planet rules and regulations were installed and set up
after another War about 500 years later when most of the knowledge of the past have been lost someone used the magic to commit a crime of temporal travel but in doing so save the planet the system that controls the magic was upgraded at that time to prevent that from ever happening again and at that time a child came up with the idea of recording everybody''s physical and mental stats down so they could see them and understand what was going on

Margaret I''d read a lot of books and always at the beginning when something went wrong or your east side or whatever there was no explanation of what the hell was going on well actually now there was that this wasn''t the worst in the world this made sense and unless Margaret wanted to kill herself which she really didn''t want to do she was a spider she got into the point where she''s been eating bugs and guy and I got okay with it so yeah at this point there''s just no going back so might as well play the game except this didn''t seem like a game the amount of fear hunger and just Terror and sadness she felt she knew this was real for the next 24 hours Margaret literally tried everything from running and jumping she actually came up with the idea to write in the ground and do math and math math multiplication subtraction division anything she could think of then she started writing English letters Some Japanese some Chinese anything she could think of she even put down symbols good or bad she made webs she killed little bugs the last thing she thought to do was pretty stupid but it did make a comment about killing things and she always remembered that if you kill something over your level that you get extra bonuses for it so she thought well I know where there''s one thing that I seen that I can kill over the last two days there was a baby bird that had fallen out of a nest and was still alive on the ground but it had pushed itself up against the side of the tree with a broken wing and had been packing for food but because of the wing was so bad and it was so hungry and falling asleep in bad shape so Margaret knowing the wild thought if she''s going to do anything like this this is the only way she could do it so she made a choice she stealed herself climbed up the tree on the other side and then when she was high enough up she rotated around the tree to be above the baby bird the bird wouldn''t be able to get her up here but she would be able to spray thin string onto the bird the baby bird so for the next little while while it slapped she wrapped it but not wrapped it she just layered it and layered it and layered it it wasn''t until she could barely see the bird did she feel safe enough getting closer She got back onto the ground and worked her way around to the bottom corner and her webbing she could move it around and it wouldn''t stick to her the same way so she just kind of like lifting up a blanket she came to the edge and left it up some webbing and she crawled underneath and then she was in with the bird she moved her way around to its back before it woke up and then she just gently put her fangs into the birds back just so gently but as she got in and she started pumping just a little bit of Venom it woke up hard she was kicked back directly into her own web and kind of like being pushed off of someone''s back into a wall she dropped under and thank goodness she was able to scoot under some of the webbing has the baby bird flashed around trying to get out of the webbing which only made it way worse but she had got the Venom in so now she just hidden waited it wasn''t until the night had come that the bird had stopped moving and she didn''t sense anything from it anymore she went over and just started injecting as much venom into it as she could because she found out that her Venom was how she ate she would liquefy the body from the inside out and then suck it out like using a straw which was kind of disgusting but made a lot easier but pumping that much venom she had never done that before and it drained the living crap out of her she went back under the tree behind the bird under the webbing as far back as she could and fell asleep she didn''t know how long it was but something had ripped her netting all the way and stole her bird body and she lost her meal she was so mad she had taken all that time and it was stolen from her for the rest of the day she killed a small bug here there just to get some food in her so she wasn''t totally hungry but she was so so mad well that was until the pop-up came up that well when she read the pop up she was a little flooredLove this novel? Margaret spent the next I don''t know days catching food growing there was no levels in the system just how strong you were what you knew so she understood how that worked so she just kept on working and working and working and after enough trial and error she realized she could do a couple things and even got one upgrade called digging She had come across An angel and realize that if she did it right she could have an unlimited food going forward so she made a pit trap and put some webbing over top of it and some cloth and all that stuff my cloth I mean leaves and garbage and she put stuff over top of it and then she chopped up an aunt that she was eating but she knew there was socks inside of it so she went and took the different socks she found and before popping them she put them in different places and then pop them once she watched what happened she realized which sacks were the pheromones acts for yes or good and which ones were for no bad she then killed another ant by hand which wasn''t really hard she was basically twice the size of these ants she just step on them poison them and walk away come back in a couple hours when it was dead and Munch Munch Munch She had been practicing using her webs and was able to take one of those socks and tie it to a stick she then took the stick and the hole in the bag just enough to let some drops out and then she walked from her trap all the way to the ant hill or as close as she could get and then she just walk back to her trap and then dangling it over the Trap kept on walking past it so that they would think that the trail kept on going right through the Trap it worked better than she could ever have hoped because she couldn''t eat too many of them at any one time because no offense they were kind of big for food but they also populated like ants so she had almost an unlimited Supply and for the next year two years three years no idea just a long time she just sat there getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger till she was a size of a large dog like she wasn''t small at all she came up to your knees this is also how bar found her and when he found her well one day she went into her little underground Borough where she had some food saved and there was a new tunnel that she did not make very cautiously she did explore it and when she came to the end of the tunnel which wasn''t more than a couple hundred meters away she found not a large room but a big domed room and on a pedestal in the middle loading was a golden ball covered in diamonds it looked like a disco ball when she came into the room the hallway behind her just collapsed and now she was stuck in this room but because it was dirt she could just dig her way out and she started too as she tried to start to at least she thought because as she put her hands in the grab the dirt the dirt was hard as a rock like you could pick it up with your fingertips and pick it up but she couldn''t it was that hard like it and then all of a sudden it got pushed back into a wall and it was compressed super solid and now it was a solid wall not the tunnel anymore and the whole room kind of vibrated for a moment and she just heard in her head the word feeling of stop she didn''t see anyone she didn''t hear anyone she just felt someone then she looked at the orb and the orb literally rolled down off of the pedestal rolled on the ground to her and then just stopped next thing she felt slash heard in her head Hello Hi want to be my friend this sent shivers down her spine cuz this is the same feeling that old man on the law gave her and yes she still remembers her past life in that old man and this was that same smile it was that of pure joy and Mirth Margaret just said hello and then the Room warmed up the lights got brighter the whole place just felt like she just got hugged and he just said hello my name is bar what is your name she said my name is Margaret what are you bar introduce himself as¡± hello good lady my name is bar I am a mobile dungeon the first one on this planet I would love to have you accompany me around the world are you in the mood for some Adventure and with that bar found his first dungeon boss and Margaret found a friend the trouble they would cause and get into oh my God it''s going to be so much fun telling you this story just wait till they get Bob and their little Trio of Chaos can really start CH6 BOB¡±S POV !!!!! Bob grew up with his family and he was a good kid with a good family. His mom worked in the village doing odd jobs, sowing little things at first when she was younger, and then.as she became of age, she went out like everybody else. As a group with the younger kids and they all went to the big city and they all went to the adventures and they all joined and they went on one hunt or dungeon run or whatever they could get their hands on. And her case, she got her hands on her husband because they well, he saved her and she saved him for about a year of dungeon hunting. They came back to their little town, not even a village, even if thatAnd well, yeah, had Bob and now it''s time for Bob to go out into the world except Bob heard about the roadhouses and the adventures. Well, when they went back to their home, their home wasn''t where they normally would think, not some flat plaery lands or something like that. It was a very large mountain surrounded by water. They had to take a boat to get to the mainland, butnow they were back on their island. And when I say an island, I''m talking the size of.? of canada!!! The island was actually a mountain range, but it was so big that it was just they called it the mountain. It was one big, long mountain, kind of like the Great Wall of ChinaIt had peaks and valleys, and people just either lived on the seashore, but the seashore could be hundreds of miles away from the giant mountain. So this was a monstrous, monstrous place, still needing lots of people to explore.and the level of technology wassteam powered was almost there. They were somewhat civilized in the cities, somewhat uncivilized outside the cities. It wasinteresting. So the day that Bob came back to say goodbye to his family, Bob''s mom and dad were just freaked right out trying to figure out what was going on. The story Bob told told of him going on his first adventurewith his friends Mark and Vicki, and being shown how to deliver the mail from town to town and how the roadhouse is and where they were and how to find them. And then he told his parents how he found the water well that they didn''t even know about and how when he came in there was a floating glass and it said, welcome Bob on the mirror and the.hot water. That wasn''t normal and all the things and his parents freaked out. They knew of magic. They had seen magic when they were younger, but they didn''t have magic. Magic was not Hidden away only.by going to some place in the world that was called the core and.interacting with the core''s energy. Could you unlock your magic or whatever you had and that was so rare because every access to the core was Hidden down by every government or every kid.in the world who own land and there was hundreds of kings like the planet was huge and they knew there was a planet. They were people that were so smart and magic. But.for his family, they just it wasn''t for them. They couldn''t ever afford to go to the core.If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. Bob''s mom and dad. They both knew that their kid was hyperactive. Freak. So Bob had been taught when he was like 56 by his dad, one secret. We tend to be dumb and slow. And Bob didn''t understand why, until one day he just took his son into town, and he said, just pretend to be slow and dumb and stay behind you. When Bob''s.dad''s dad''s dad. A. K. Here''s grandfather was around and Bob''s dad was Bob''s age around 56his grandfather taught Bob''s dad A lesson and he said it in a way that always rubbed Bob¡¯s dad the wrong way. The comment was, kids should be seen, not heard. And Bob didn''t want to teach his kid that, because it made him feel bad when his dad taught it to him. So over the years, Bob''s dad had understood what his dad was trying to say to him. And it was, you have to be quiet and listen so that you have more information than the other people, and you can be intelligent and put in a conversation. And Bob''s dad taught Bob that at 5. And because of that, since then, Bob had fallen around and listened to everybody, and everybody kind of thought Bob was a little slow. But no, Bob just really understood. So when he came home freaking out and all hyperBob''s dad knew this was something special, and he wasn''t gonna let Bob turn it up. K so it took about 30 minutes to calm bob down, Bob''s mom watched Bobby Dad call Bob down and by minute 29 she was crying and happy, but she also had this evil, evil look in her eye. And when her husband finally looked over at her, he went pale white because Mama Bear was coming out of the woodwork and he hadn''t seen this in years. He.had about 10 seconds of thought before he just got up, went into the bedroom and literally table flip the bed, which freaked Bob out and his wife realized what he was doing and just smiled so deep it started to cry. Bob''s mom grabbed him by the arm and told them kind of forcefully to come with her into the bedroom as soon as his dad was done aggressively rearranging the room. She left Bob in the doorway and went into the bedroom where she took up position at 1 end of the bed, but not at the bed where the bed used to be and on the ground. Bob noticed that there was four holes in the boards because Bob''s mom and dad were each putting a finger in the two boards, one on each end, and together they just lifted up these two boardsand then they lifted up all the rest of the boards of the floor.of the floor and there was a couple of suitcases and chests down there. They took the time to pull the chest up and out and check them and then open them. It was all their adventuring stuff and a small amount of their savings that they had hidden. Bob''s dad dread directly to the small chest, opened it, showed Bob, of all the gold coins, silver coins and even some gems that they still have in there. So he said, you''re not going to have to worry about us. We''ve got ourselves covered. Do you understand? And Bob was, yeah, freaked out. Understandable and excited all through the roof. He could vibrate through the wall if he had magic. After that, Bob''s dad took a small pouch and put some copper coins, couple of silver and one gold coin in it, and then tied it up and attached it to Bob''s dad''s belt loop area He then ignored Bob and went directly to his wife, who had already cracked open the different chests and suitcases and was looking through it, where they are starting to pull out weapons from 1. There were 2 knives that got pulled out and put onto the ground outside of where the chest were. Then Bob''s dad would pull out another piece of armor and put it next to the dives. In the end, they had a full set of armor set up, except for a chest plate, 9.knives and a bow with some arrows and a quiver.for arrows. Bob''s dad looked at his wife, and she just nodded. Bob''s dad yelled at him, son, get over here now CH7 Bob had been so kind of shocked and round that he was just solid as a brick, just watching them and this kind of snapped them out of his passiveness Bob came over to the gear and Bob''s dad said this is now yours. Go take it to your room and Put it on and let''s see how it fits. We''re going to probably have to adjust a little bit, but you''re going to go on an adventure and then you''re going to come home and tell us how it was and you''re going to go be amazingYou''re going back to the roadhouse as soon as you can by yourself. Do you understand my son? The look on Bob''s face was pure.delight, enjoyment, fear, excitement, and peer terror all wrapped in the one.with a smile. The next couple of hourswe''re all done getting him ready to go and realizing they didn''t have everything they needed. So the plan was to pack.everything up and in the morning going to town for the last couple things and then they would.go with Bob up to the roadhouse. That would be his main roadhouse base and they would know the leave messages there for him so that the spirit of the mountain could communicate with them because Bob''s parents understood how magic were not how to do it, but they understood how to leave magic notes and other things like that. So they taught Bob about leaving messages for people. The nearest roadhouse was about four hours by horse from their house. So after they had packed up everything and they had their three horses, they got to the roadhouse. The spirit of the mountain wasn''t just thrilled. It was Vibrating.and by vibrating I mean all the lights were literally vibrating with the heartbeat of the mountain and you would see the light go up a little bit and then down a little bit and up a little bit. It was literally tapping into its soul to touch everything in the roadhouse as they walked in. The roadhouse felt alive. It was inviting. It was warmA mug was floating witha cloth cleaning it behind the bar in.the dust on the mirror. It just said welcome was being written by an invisible hand. What happened next was that everything kind of just calmed down a bit. The lights went back to normal. Bobby mom and dad came in with him and they all just sat up in the room and they said, OK, we''re going to stay here for a day and kids. There''s something wrong and we''re just going to hang out here for the night so we don''t have to travel back all that way. And we''ll go back in the morning when we might even walk up to the cave with you. They were almost ready for bed and they were.upstairs in the rooms after getting cleaned up and ready and they heard two giant creaking doors being opened downstairs and they all got up and went to the balcony and what they saw was the actual dance for the open area.literally was being forced up and two big doors from like a seller were being open and Margaret the spider all.2000 ¡ê3000 and 20 feet like wide like she''s huge spire start coming out as she came out. She would close one door and put her legs on 1 side and then close the other door and put her legs on the other side to get herself up and then she just sat there. She put it one arm behind the bar and grabbed a bottle and before she could even grab the bottle a glass loaded up and that bottle God drained into a glass and handed to her hand slash Pencer and she drank a glass of alcohol. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Hey, Bob, the mountain told me you were here and said I should come introduce myself. She swiveled around a bit and then caught Bob and Bob''s parents looking down at her, and she waved one of her legs.Hello Bob looked over at his mom and Dad, who were kind of just done looking at this giant 1000 pound spider. He waved back at her and smiled at his parents. Just the look on their face of pure horror enjoyment and not knowing what the heck to do next. They were frozen right there. Bob went down the stairs up.to Margaret and she.put out one of her legs and they shook hands if you would. She then.put a small bag she was carrying on herback on a little belt loop and gave it to Bob She said the following words, which sent a shiver up and down the spine of the whole family. ¡°The mountain wanted me to offer you this gem. It is a sliver of what they call the core. With it, you and only one person can turn on their magic powers¡± ¡° But there''s a catch every.ten years you have to recharge your power from the core. People used to have to go down to the core to get it, but nowadays you can go to a very large city and usually at the main castle where they have, like the ruler. They usually have a small piece that can be used to charge, but it''s expensive. So this is going to start you down a path where you''re going to have to become an adventure. Just recharge your power. So I don''t know if you want this or not. And it''s a choice you have to think and make about. So I''m going to leave you for tonightand tomorrow morning, if you want, by yourself, come up to the mountainand either return the gem to me already.to use it. But I know for a fact the dungeon has already accepted a quest for you to start. I mean, one that''s attached to magic. So this is a magical quest. I was kind of surprised when he the mountain spirit told me. But yeah, it''s basically pulling out all the stops for you. It believes you are his family. So this is like a welcome gift. If you''re interested. And if you''re not, we understand. But I''m going to let you be knowing. I''ll talk to you tonight. Tomorrow. Yeah. Tomorrow. O. K. Bye.Bye, Bob. With that Margaret wave to them, because Bob''s parents were still frozen on the balcony, and Margaret knew she had to get out of there because she was freaking them out. So she opened up the mill trap door that she was standing on. And I''m by little, I mean, 10 by 10 and that''s one door alone. It''s later half her body down, and then kind of slid back down underneath the ground and disappeared. Bob looked up inside his mum and dad, and he knew that they''re gonna have to have a long talk. In the morning.Bob and his parents, they all agreed that Bob had made the right decision. And with his decision made, Bob was going to go up to the mountain and tell Margaret, and they were just going to go home. So.this is, I guess, where his adventure starts. He hugged his mum and dad and started walking up to the cave. He said, stop twice for some of his water he was carrying with him in some dried meat. But after about 2 1/2 hours, he made it to the cave. Margaret was there.and as he was walking up, he put his hand into the pouch and grabbed the crystal. The first thing he saw was the quest.

CH8 B.a.r¡¯s pov Once, they were one soul¡ªnow split, like two sides of a coin. Bob and Barr. One lived as a human, unaware of his fragmented past, while the other became a sentient, rolling dungeon¡ªa sphere of metal and magic, carving its path beneath the earth. Barr remembered everything. Every roll, every tunnel, every roadhouse he built to give travelers shelter along his subterranean highways. His form? A massive orb, encrusted with diamonds, deceptively beautiful but lethally dangerous, slicing through rock and soil with quiet, relentless power. A Fateful Encounter One evening, in the oldest roadhouse he¡¯d ever crafted, Barr saw them¡ªBob and his parents. The recognition was instant and overwhelming. Excitement thrummed through the walls. Lights flickered, mirrors fogged over, and messages appeared in the dust. Barr couldn¡¯t speak directly; his voice would tear through human minds like a drill. Instead, he communicated through simple wooden boards, intricate marbles rolling along etched paths, spelling out words like an arcane Ouija board. But that night wasn¡¯t just about Bob. There was Margaret¡ªthe spider. Once human, now a creature of legend, reincarnated by a cosmic mix-up into a towering arachnid, the size of a Volkswagen. Intelligent and kind, she¡¯d grown into her monstrous form, using her webs to craft and protect, rather than ensnare. She and Barr were family¡ªtwo fragments of the past, holding onto each other in a world that barely understood them. The Magic Core Magic here wasn¡¯t free; it was a resource, mined from the planet''s core¡ªonce a dungeon itself, now a sleeping giant. Chunks of this core radiated power, but exposure was dangerous. People wore shards in amulets or armor, carefully rotating them to avoid magical ¡®burns.¡¯ Barr had once stolen a large piece, splitting it between himself, Margaret, and now, possibly, Bob. These shards strengthened their bond, making communication slightly less painful. The Ghost of Barr Above ground, Barr moved unseen. His true form remained buried, but he projected an ethereal presence¡ªa ghost capable of small physical acts: moving objects, opening doors, wielding weapons. He¡¯d intervene when necessary, a silent guardian with a harsh sense of justice. Mercy wasn¡¯t a concept for a being that couldn¡¯t die. To some, he was a protector; to others, a remorseless spirit. The Mission Ahead Bob didn¡¯t know the half of it. The tunnels, the roadhouses, the magic¡ªthey all converged on a singular, dangerous truth: the core. If they could reach it, if they could harness its energy, perhaps the fragments of their souls could communicate without pain. But reaching the core meant danger beyond reckoning. Monsters, ancient traps, and the ever-present risk of losing themselves to the raw, overwhelming magic. Barr had carved paths, but never ventured that deep. Margaret, for all her strength, couldn¡¯t fight what lay in the heart of the world. The Legend of Bar''s Rube Goldberg Machines After Bar broke the giant family marble in Margaret''s cave, he felt a surge of satisfaction. Knowing that Bob wouldn¡¯t return today and that Margaret would soon go about her own business, Bar left the cave. He had overheard Margaret explaining to Bob how to activate her intricate doorbell system. For Bar, who had a deep fascination with these ingenious mechanisms, it was like music to his ears having his work explained to bob.The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. The doorbell Margaret described was no ordinary one. Bar had crafted a simple yet sophisticated Rube Goldberg contraption: a marble rolling down a chute, landing in Margaret''s room, and plugging a small orifice. This orifice would fill with water, causing a bamboo-like object to rise and click down, creating a soft chime. These contraptions were ancient, charming, and remarkably clever¡ªan embodiment of Bar¡¯s love for intricate devices scattered throughout the region. Bar''s passion for these machines extended far beyond simple doorbells. Across the vast continent, he had built a network of complex, interconnected contraptions, each more elaborate than the last. These weren¡¯t just random installations; Bar had a grand plan. Traveling along the edge of the continent''s massive mountain range, he had painstakingly carved tunnels and set up mechanisms that could be activated with a single push of a button. This was no easy feat, as the hard mountain rock resisted even his considerable power. He hadn¡¯t upgraded his core strength in years, avoiding the painful process he remembered from his youth. Preparing for an important outing with Margaret and Bob, Bar decided it was time to activate one of his most impressive creations. He left the mountain and set off at high speed through his meticulously reinforced tunnels. Over the years, he had perfected pressurized systems, learning valuable lessons when Aria¡¯s actions had caused some tunnels to collapse. These systems allowed him to travel safely at astonishing speeds through his underground network. One of Bar¡¯s standout creations was a watchtower made entirely of logs. He had cut down a massive tree, stripped it, and stacked it piece by piece to form a 50- or 60-foot-high structure with no walls, just a towering square frame. Beneath this tower, he had dug a tunnel leading to a cavernous chamber filled with oil and other flammable materials. A marble track extended from the tower to other parts of the mountain, part of an intricate series of mechanisms designed to ignite a massive display across the mountain range. Bar had set up 20 or 30 similar sites throughout the continent. When the time came for a major event, like a grand meeting or celebration, the mountains would burst into spectacular flames, visible for miles. The snow-covered peaks would suddenly come alive, surprising those who lived nearby. Many had no idea these structures even existed, hidden beneath layers of ice and snow for years. However, the dwarves¡ªresilient inhabitants of a mountain city¡ªknew better. The dwarves lived in constant conflict with the creatures lurking deep within the mountains. Bar had discovered their underground city and witnessed the relentless battles they fought for survival. Seeing their struggle, he had intervened, going on a rampage to clear out dangerous tunnels and monsters. The dwarves were astonished, believing a ghost was helping them. They watched tools move as if by magic and materials float toward them, unaware that it was Bar¡¯s unseen hand at work. Bar left a sign in one of his tunnels, promising a signal¡ªa massive explosion¡ªthat would mark the start of something extraordinary. When the day came, and Bar activated his Rube Goldberg machine, five mountaintops near the dwarven city erupted from the pressure spraying oil over the wood and mountain top.the fire back seconds later make the mountain top catch on fire, Black smoke billowed into the sky, creating an ominous, almost musical rhythm of booming explosions. The shockwaves cleared snow and ice, triggering avalanches and sending vibrations across the continent. For the dwarves, this was more than just a signal; it was a call to action. Bar¡¯s efforts had given them a lifeline, sealing off dangerous areas and allowing them to mine precious resources safely. His intricate network of tunnels ensured that any breakthroughs into new territories were manageable. The dwarves no longer faced the overwhelming threat of multiple open fronts; they could focus on one challenge at a time. Bar didn¡¯t concern himself with questions of right or wrong. His goal was simple: to help the dwarves survive. His ingenious machines and relentless efforts had carved out a safer, more stable world for them beneath the mountains. And as the echoes of his grand creation faded, the dwarves knew it was time to repay the mysterious, unseen hero who had saved them. CH 9 The owls knew of the Ninja clan. One day, one of their fishing boats was returned, but there was no wind. What they didn¡¯t know was that this was the day Barr had been traveling through one of his underground tunnels that actually went beneath the water, on the shore of the continent. It was a tunnel he had created a long time ago. That started the legend, but it wasn¡¯t until years later that the same fisherman always returned to the spot where he had been dropped off. There, some rocks were set up where the fisherman had prayed and left offerings¡ªnot much, just flowers and small plants¡ªbut still lit incense and gave thanks for his life. You might be wondering what type of owl these were, but imagine a human being, normal size, but melded with an owl. The whole turning the head thing was more human than owl. So, these were a bit more human than a normal owl, but not much more. Only some of the originals, the first to be melded between the owl species and humans, had true owl-like features. The descendants didn¡¯t have many traits of owls, which is why there was a small community hidden away on the edges, where they fished, hunted, and scavenged. When Barr found them, it wasn¡¯t exactly a smooth interaction, but to think there was a clan hiding out of fear didn¡¯t faze Barr. He didn¡¯t show many emotions¡ªhappiness and anger were just memories to him. But to see a child hungry and searching for food? That did strike him. Barr took care of them after a couple of hours. He brought boats, buildings, and underground passages, reconstructing whatever he could with his knowledge of pressure and materials. He lit torches and figured out why they were hiding: wolves had been hunting them. Within a night, the wolves were slaughtered. Barr stayed in the area, setting up small hunting areas for them and leaving cryptic notes in rock formations. He would sometimes leave a couple of tablets hidden around with basic information, like simple math. Every so often, he would check in on them. From then on, it was as if Barr was a friend checking in. Over time, they came to understand that when something major happened, it was probably Barr¡ªor the god of the mountain, as they called him. To Barr, he was just a spirit. During his time with them, Barr created stones that could only move up and down, and only he could move them. One such stone was connected to giant mounted explosions. Barr had set one of the marbles in a circular path. When the air pressure from the explosion hit it, it spun. You might think that¡¯s no big deal¡ªjust a marble spinning a few hundred times¡ªbut this marble was buried 100 feet underground, made of solid stone, and about nine feet in diameter. When it started, it spun at such high speed that it triggered another distant mechanism Barr had set up. These disks started spinning, which caused a metal pole connected to them to spin as well. What Barr had created above ground was essentially a tree made of metal, with branches meant to fly off as it reached high speed. At the very top, a light acted as a lighthouse. When it turned on, it would soon turn off, but it would shift to another light on the mountain. One by one, the mountain tops were lit up for a few minutes. This light, a shining beacon in the darkness, was Barr¡¯s way of showing strength and independence. It was his message to the owl people, to remind them that even in darkness, there could be light.Stolen novel; please report. For the owls, seeing the world lit up in such a way, day or night, was a profound change. The momentary difference in light made them realize something was about to change. They weren¡¯t just on high alert¡ªthey were hunting. All 20,000 of them dove into the forest, hunting for an hour until the light went out. When they returned, they had more food than they had in 100 days. They celebrated with a feast, knowing that the mountain could provide again. It marked the start of a new generation. The elves lived deep in the forest, so deep that they could not see the mountains. But they had met Barr and knew him as a spirit. They didn¡¯t fully understand what he was, but he had communicated with them so well that he had made a pact of friendship. One day, he saved some children from an animal and walked them back. He also levitated a stick, which caught their attention. From then on, Barr worked with them, making underground bunkers and hiding places for when trouble arose. During a raid by bandits, they were able to keep their friends and family safe, thanks to Barr¡¯s intervention. To the elves, Barr was a spirit or guardian, someone they deeply respected. Before he left, Barr gifted them a stone tower. He warned them never to enter it or build inside of it. The day that the mountains exploded, the elder being drunk as usual, had been grabbed and yanked out of his tree house. brought down to the ground where he puked And literally, they just didn''t even talk to him. They just grabbed his drunk **** and he was fighting back the whole time, yelling at them until they brought him up to look at the tower. Now, glistening in liquid metal and spewing fire out the top of it. The heat coming off of it was so immense that he was sober within seconds and started paying attention. The amount of. wealth literally just bubbling out of this was immense. and the smell coming off of his horrible. the fire after about five minutes stopped and the sound of cooling metal and other things. was heard for the next 48 hours. They had guarded this tower and now you could see gems and other things within the metals and within the obsidian they were going to take it down and start following it. This was a gift from the spirit. They were going to pass up this gift. What they didn''t know was during bars travel past, he hit a sandbar and got stuck. He literally had to compress the entire sandbar. And when he compressed that sandbar, he found a river. So he started having fun underground. And then he saw the little kid getting hurt. And he was helping out. And what he didn''t realize, he made a pretty extensive set of caverns So so he didn''t screw up really badly. He started using certain areas there as compression sites and some as dump sites. And he started making it to the whole ground wouldn''t collapse while in doing this, he reinforced it all. He also. cleaned so much of the sand away that he found veins of metal well. he''s got this metal and he''s got to make a pipe to send a signal. Might as well use the metal while 1000 kilometers of whatever random metal he found made into a pipe super heated just peed out random. metals and silica sands cooked to thousands and thousands of degrees. It was perfect. because that heat also solidified it and made it so that now. the back end of what was coming. CH 10 Mr. Heavy. That''s what Barr called the farmer on top of the plateau. The farmer had been using ropes and buckets to get up and down the top of the plateau so that no one could basically steal from him. And he''d been doing it for so many years that he could tell that he had set up a farm farmhouse shed and a plot of land. It''s got to be like 2-3 hectares large on top of this plateau. Barr called this guy Mr. Heavy because this guy was big. Like, I want to say he''s tall, but he wasn''t, and he wasn''t wide like fat. This guy, when you looked at him, you were like, "Go ahead, sir, I''ll let you buy." And he was just a farmer. But he did everything by hand. He had no animals. He did it all. He was 100 percent all points put into strength and vitality. So Barr had been traveling through not a desert, but underground. It was very sandstone, and on the top, it was sandy, but also had some vegetation. And there were these different plateaus of rock that just went hundreds of feet up into the air, then were flat. So he decided to pick one that he had seen a little something going on¡ªsome tracks and some other stuff Barr could see from underground if you had been walking in the same spot. So animal paths were like beacons. He could just see the disturbances. When he found a disturbance going right up the side of one of these, it got curious, and he started making a path all the way through the plateau. Well, what he found inside the plateau blew his mind because inside of it was a giant geode. The geode probably could fit an entire shopping mall inside of it. It was huge. After Barr found the giant geode, he went about keeping any gasses from escaping or getting in while he made an entire city down there, out of giant crystals, multiple colors. And he just basically played in there for like three days, making houses, and his ability to apply force almost at the molecular level allowed him, when he placed things, to put enough pressure that they kind of bonded. They weren''t a permanent bond, so you have to put weight down on things for them to work, but that was enough to give them friction and keep things moving. After a while, Barr got good at making small structures, like a little town. It was then and during that time that he had also been watching Mr. Heavy. And after watching Mr. Heavy just work for like 4 hours, Barr just went until the entire mess¡ªthe entire thing¡ªall the little rocks for 10 feet down. He picked them all up and made fences everywhere to keep the winds from blowing them. He basically fortified the top of the mesa, then made it so that when rain would fall, it would pool and drain around the whole place. Within like 18 hours, it didn''t look too much different, but Mr. Heavy knew something had changed, and he knew kind of what had happened. As the field started changing colors and he walked through, instead of being rocky with dirt, it was just slime. He started crying and fell to his knees. He saw the rock wall had just started appearing. He just sat at his home, drinking himself silly, because he watched as a god basically remade his home for him. And it was beautiful.Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. He then gave Mr. Heavy one of his little stone contraptions and sent a small message saying if Mr. Heavy could point out water in the area that no one was using. Mr. Heavy just pointed to the other plateau you could see, and Barr, that''s all he wanted. Barr then didn''t have to look and might have taken a couple of hours to dig that way. But now Barr found water. Well, Barr used that water connected to his giant Rube Goldberg machine as the way of turning it off in the end. So he emptied out the mesa as deep as he could go and allowed it to fill up with 100 times more water than it normally had. And at the very bottom, he put multiple pipes, but he plugged them all. They would unplug until the back pressure popped them all, and then the water would flow down. He then spent at least three years making sure that water was flowing right and that the mesa actually became a water tower for the whole continent at one point. So it was kind of neat the day that Mr. Heavy watched the skies light up, the explosions happen, and then the giant explosion of water on the other mesa. Then the world was sucked in¡ªthe sound of the world just being sucked down. And then the environment just changed for the next day. The clouds, everything¡ªit rained and rained and rained. Mr. Heavy''s farm was inundated with so much water. The things Barr had done inside the geode set up an overflow system so that if Mr. Heavy''s farm was ever going to be flooded, the water would not go into the geode but would go around into smaller pockets, which would then use that to spray out around the mesa, bringing life to the base of his home. And with that, Mr. Heavy was welcomed into the New World, going from a hard, rocky garden of safety to the most vibrant, lush, green garden across the entire savannah/desert area that he lived in. And his mesa would stay hydrated with its reservoirs pumping, thanks to air pressures and air currents¡ªthe way that started up for at least a couple of weeks extra. And if it rained, that would only get longer that it would stay hydrated. What Barr didn''t know is that Mr. Heavy was an ex-con who had about a bounty out on his head, but because he had turned over a new leaf and saved some people in the local town, two people knew of him. Every once in a while, they would just come to the base of his tower, tie a rope, pull on it, and he''d pull up a basket. He''d send down little of his money he had left, and they''d send up stuff like salt and other spices. And they''d leave that basket hanging there for when they came back. If it wasn''t there, then they had the right to go up and make sure that he wasn''t dead. But for years they had been going and trading, and he never seemed to run out of money, so they never tried anything. It wasn''t until they came and found all the plant life growing that they looked in the bucket and there was a note on a stone tablet from him saying he''d be back for his farm, but he was going on an adventure to pay back the spirit of the mountain. And that if he came back and his farm was harmed, he''d be very upset. The merchant realized that the ex-con, Mr. Heavy, had climbed all the way down the sheer wall with only one rope and walked away from his mountain to go repay a debt. The people in town¡ªthe right ones¡ªwere told that this would now be off-limits for the next year or two. And everyone saw someone would check on this tablet to see if it had been removed. That merchant also left a piece of wood, saying, "Burn this and put it back in the bucket when you''re home." It was kind of odd. Barr didn''t get to see this, but to see a very built man walking in robes and with a staff into the forest¡ªit was just odd, but beautiful. CH 11 Barr had been constructing an enormous machine, hidden deep within one of the largest mountains. The location was ideal, rich with a variety of metals so abundant that he barely needed to venture beyond his excavation site. As fortune would have it, he¡¯d even discovered a steady flow of lava beneath the rock¡ªa natural source of heat and power. Over time, Barr perfected the craft of transforming massive chunks of rock into precision molds, or dies. These dies took on any shape he needed¡ªsquares, circles, or more intricate designs. He would carve a cavity into one piece of rock, fill it with finely ground metal particles, and then place another piece of rock on top. Using colossal slabs of stone that weighed several tons, he would smash the pieces together, compressing the metal until it fused perfectly into shape. Through this meticulous process, he created metal parts, each more refined than the last. Eventually, the rock dies were replaced with metal ones. The effort was painstaking, but after years of working with an unlimited supply of metal, heat, and pressure, Barr produced an arsenal of gears, flywheels, and components of all sizes. The result was no ordinary gearbox¡ªthis was a masterpiece of engineering, a ¡°gearbox from hell¡± filled with hundreds of interlocking gears. Tiny gears spun into larger ones, each movement magnified by the staggering ratios. Imagine a thousand discs stacked atop one another, each one shifting a gear by an almost imperceptible fraction of a percent. The entire contraption was a colossal energy storage device, and it was ready for action. On the other side of this underground marvel was a colony of mindless, hostile insects¡ªa relentless infestation that plagued the depths of the mountain. Barr¡¯s solution was brutal and elegant. When the first explosion detonated, it triggered the machinery hidden beneath the mountain. The shockwave traveled through pipes designed to kickstart the entire system. The molten lava reservoirs below shattered deliberately, releasing a surge of heat. As the generators spun to life, magnetic fields activated, heating the surrounding rock. Moments later, water from the mesa above began to pour in, cooling the system and generating steam. The steam powered the generators further, accelerating the process until it became self-sustaining.Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. Giant stone doors, balanced and pressurized, slammed shut, sealing the system. The mountain now housed a massive engine, fueled by the Earth¡¯s heat. The power output was beyond comprehension. Atop the mountain, two towers stood a mere hundred feet apart, with constant lightning arcing between them. The air crackled with energy, and thunderclaps echoed relentlessly. The ground between the towers was scorched and molten, carved by the searing bolts of electricity. Barr marveled at the spectacle. His creation was generating so much energy that it seemed limitless. But now came the hard part: distributing this power without causing catastrophic damage. The infrastructure was in place, but it had never been tested. Flipping the main breakers was bound to cause explosions, and Barr didn¡¯t want anyone nearby when that happened. In addition to the power grid, Barr had developed a simple yet effective way to spool out wires. Copper and steel cables, encased in protective tubing about a foot thick, stretched through his labyrinthine tunnels, connecting distant cities. Alongside these power lines, he also ensured a fresh supply of water flowed to the communities. Despite these connections, he hadn¡¯t yet electrified the cities themselves. The inhabitants had only a vague understanding of the technology at their disposal. Some were oblivious, while others possessed just enough knowledge to be dangerous. Barr chuckled to himself, eager for the moment they realized what he had accomplished. After all, not everyone on this planet was native¡ªsome had migrated here, while others were born under different skies. With everything in place, Barr returned to wait for Bob and Margaret. The surprises he had in store for them would make this journey unforgettable.
