 Chapter 1: Chosen

    A vast never ending ocean, anywhere you look you would see nothing but opaque sea water and its dancing waves, just up above this endless lonely ocean lies the human civilization on several enormous condensed clouds, which is a beautiful sight, indeed. These condensed clouds are vast and strong enough to hold an entire civilization. Giant skyscrapers, school, university, houses and many other wonderful things are nicely placed one after the other on one of these vast clouds. The most eye catching of all was a triangle shaped castle, encircled by curvy alloy, on this middle of the wonderful cloud. There were also another thing that would astound anyone who would lay their eyes on those few cone-shaped metallic castles and small wooden ships, which were actually floating and moving in the sky.


    These floating, yet not movable clouds are known as ''Cloud State''. These are powered by magic, not science. It would be clear as day to anyone who lays their eyes on this wonderful and breathtaking human civilization that it can''t be the wonder of anything else but magic. Though, the uses of magic is passive. The combat magic is strictly forbidden. Humans only use practical magic that helps them to flourish the world they live in.


    On the largest glassy skyscraper, was situated the government''s office. He was sitting before a wooden desk with his chin on his right wrist. He wouldn''t be more than 40.


    "How much do you want?"


    He asked with a serious face.


    The man he asked that question to looked very mysterious. Because, he was wearing a white joker mask, which portrayed sadness, and expressionless smile. Since he was wearing a full mask, it was hard to make out whether he was young or not.


    He sighed, and answered:


    "50,000 Fins would do the job."

    Hearing him say that made the government frowned, and he said in a Ridiculing tone:


    "50k Fins! Come on, you can''t be serious. You are suppose to be our one and only hero and to think a hero like you is actually ripping people off like that."


    The hero chuckled as he put his hands in his long white coat''s pockets, and in a calm voice he said:


    "Listen, I am not running a yeoman''s service in here. You give me money and I do your damn work.


    He took a few steps forward, and added in a rush tone:


    "Also, remember this: I am the only one who has been blessed with divine power. So, I simply am the honored one. The chosen one. So, naturally I am superior than any other human being, and that''s a fact. So, give me the money or I will reject the job..But, remember this: only I can do the job.


    The government knew that no one but he could do the job, so he looked at the masked hero with his helpless eyes for awhile, then sighed:


    "Ok. I will give you the money."

    A teenage boy with long pointy black hair, hairstyle is a bit spiky, in a white school uniform, was walking on the cloudy road, a road made for walking only.


    He looked at the clear sky with his bored looking purple eyes, and took a sip of juice through a straw pipe.


    Another boring and typical day. I wish something out of the ordinary would happen in my life for once.


    He then looked forward, and squeezed the empty packet of the juice, throwing it inside the trash can.


    If only I had powers like lightning-clown- but this is only wishful thinking. After all, only chosen one like him get to wield such power.


    He took a deep breath and exhaled it, then started walking towards his one and only destination- the school. It''s one of the most fun place for him, not because of studying, he is least interested in studying. He is the type who only studies the night before exam. The reason behind school being fun for him is simple. You will see soon.


    After reaching the school, he entered through the opened gate made of steel, and stepped onto the long greenish yard of the big lengthy school made of concrete, and painted in silver. The yard was crowded with students of all types, who were gossiping. Since he is not the type to waste his time in these pointless gossiping, he always head straight to the classroom right after his arrival at the school.


    So naturally, today wasn''t any different. Right after his arrival he headed to his class, and took his seat, which was in the middle of the left row by a window.


    Just when he thought he would sit quietly, he was interrupted by a certain someone. He casually ,like a good-old buddy, slammed him on his back, saying:


    "Yo, what''s up, Ingrit?"


    Ingrit looked at the guy with annoyed and painful eyes:


    "That hurts, man."


    He smiled, and said:


    "Sorry. Didn''t mean to hit you that hard."


    The guy also has black hair, spikey hairstyle, a lively face and a pair of black eyes full of life, unlike Ingrit.


    He is the one and only closest friend Ingrit has.


    Ingrit''s face twitched in annoyance.


    "You always say that, Givan."


    Ingrit lowered his head and sighed, then again looked up at Givan, adding:


    "Maybe, try to be a little bit gentle from next time. But hey, don''t get me wrong. I am saying this because I know there''s no stopping you from slamming my poor damn back. I am starting to think I should wear a metal suit underneath this school uniform of mine.


    Hearing this Givan''s face melted in innocence.


    "Don''t give me such nice compliments, my man."


    Ingrit clearly knew behind that outlandish innocent expression laid a certain friendly devil who likes to slam the shit of Ingrit''s back, quite intentionally.


    Ingrit wore a sour expression, and said:


    "Don''t give me that crap."


    Suddenly, the opening bell for starting the classes rang. Hearing that all the students from outside came into the room, taking their respective seats. Givan also returned to his seat, which was in the very front.


    After all the students had taken their seats, a gorgeous looking young female teacher entered into the room. Her presence was more than enough to shut the boys from their gossiping, making them shift their eyes at that gorgeous teacher with glasses.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road.     She has short brown hair, brown eyes, underneath her black dress she has a soft fair skin. She was wearing a pair of shinning earrings, and a glittering necklace. All in all, she is a perfect beautiful looking young female teacher.


    She put her handbag on the teacher desk, and said:


    "Okay, boys and girls, take your sits properly, and get attentive."


    Every students did what she told them to, except for the boys who were already sitting properly, looking at her with shy eyes, flushing.


    Ingrit was no different in this regard. She was the reason the school was fun for him. That female teacher was 98% of his reason behind him coming to school regularly. The remaining 2% for his grade''s sake. He too was looking at her with his purple eyes, but his eyes wasn''t hollowed anymore, it became a bit lively after casting his gaze on her.

    As usual, after being relieved from the school for the day, he was heading straight to his home, thinking everything would be the same as always. But, little did he know that a certain danger was wandering around a dark creepy lane.


    Something like a shadow was trying to take shape. It was emerging from the shadowy ground. After a little bit of instability in forming its true shape, it took a stable black form, which was standing like a human, yet it obviously wasn''t one. It had red eyes, and a sets of small sharp teeth, also a fragile pitch black body.


    "So, you are here. You can call me No.1. Nice to meet you."


    He creepily smiled as he said that.


    Before him was standing a human, terrified to see something so uncanny.


    He said while shaking, "You will grant me power, right?"


    "Hehehe. I will." The shadowy entity replied.


    He then held out his right palm towards the shaky man. Suddenly, a small round bottle made of glass with cork stopper came out of his palm. That bottle contained something Ominous inside it. A shadowy thing was waving inside that bottle.


    "Come out."


    No.1 commanded.


    Suddenly, the bottle was cracking, resulting in that shadowy being to drip on the pitch black ground from the cracks of the bottle.


    Meanwhile, while passing by that lane, Ingrit noticed that uncanny sight. It would have been a wise decision for him to pretend like he didn''t see any of this and just get the hell of there. But, his curiosity got the best of him. So, he decided to hid himself behind the concrete building to his right, and began to peek and eavesdrop. He had a vivid view from where he was peeking.


    He witnessed that Shadowy thing, which now had fully been freed from the bottle, had taken shape. It also looked like the No.1, but was way shorter than him.


    Seeing something like this and looking at the No.1 shook Ingrit to his core. Because, never in his life did he see something like this. He also overhead the No.1 saying,


    "Go, be one with him and give him your power, No. 15."


    The No.15 nodded his head, and did as the No.1 told him. He slowly walked towards the terrified shaky man, then forced his mouth wide open using his hands. After that, opening it he entered his body through his mouth, swiftly.


    As soon as it entered his body, the shaky began to have difficulty breathing. To him it was as if he was being suffocated. He fell on his knees, and felt like screaming, but couldn''t. After a gruesome struggle, he calmed down.


    He could feel that power was surging through his body, making him feel overwhelmed. He rose on his feet, and said with astonishment


    on his face :


    "It feels amazing. With this power I can do anything!"


    "Good. Remember everything is as HE planned. You must work towards fulfilling HIS wishes. You know already what I mean."


    As No.1 was fading away into the shadow, he said that.


    "Now, go out there and fulfill our lord''s desire."


    Saying that he completely faded away.


    The man looked at his palms, grinning.


    "Hahahahahaahaha. I can feel it. This power surge is amazing."


    What is he talking about?


    Ingrit thinking as he was peeking at the man. He looks confused and at the time nervous. His heart was beating faster than usual.


    Did he just say power? And what was those shadowy things?..More importantly, who were that shadowy thing referring to?


    "It''s not nice to eavesdrop, you know."


    Hearing a masculine voice,full of confident, shook Ingrit. He,at once, turned his head, only to find himself getting stabbed through his back. He heard the stabbing sound, lowering his head, he saw something pitch black and pointy like a spear had pierced him through his chest. Moreover, that spear was part of that man''s hand!


    The man, not wasting much time, pulled back his right pointy hand from Ingrit''s back, making blood to gush out from both his back and chest. Ingrit fell forward on the ground with a thud, getting splashed with the blood which flooded the ground.


    He squinted at the man, and got a good look of him. The man had black spiky hair, red eyes, spear like black tattoos on his neck, five piercings in his left ear, and was wearing 5 neck chains on his long black coat . He seems to be a neo adult. The man was smirking Contemptuously at the fallen Ingrit.


    "This is what you get for poking your nose where it doesn''t belong."


    Saying that he walked over his body nonchalantly, and said to the man, who was given power just now:


    "From now on you will be under my guidance. You can call me Feist. Now, follow me."


    With a grin on his face, the man said, "Mine is Thot. My-"


    "I didn''t ask for your name. You have yet to prove your worth. Until you do that I don''t care what might your made be."


    Feist said that with a cold expression on face.


    Huh? What happened? Am I dying. Just like that?!


    Ingrit looking breathless, soaked in blood, regretting his stupid decision for sticking his nose where it didn''t belong.


    Damnit. I don''t want to die.


    As he was in excruciating pain, a weird sound rang inside his head, then something appeared right before his face. It was a purple color screen, which was floating in the air, before his bloody face.


    [Supreme Heroes System]


    [O You incarnation of one of the greatest heroes of mendis time, you are not allowed to die yet.]


    [You were chosen to fight the inevitable destiny of yours.]


    [Now rise up]


    Ingrit looked confounded, not realizing what that purple screen was. Though, he barely had any time to think about what it was. Because, he could feel his life was drastically fading away. His body was becoming colder, while eyes were becoming lifeless by the second.


    As he thought that there was no escaping this fate of him dying, he closed his eyes, and tried to have flashbacks about his life so far. But, nothing interesting was coming to his mind. It was understandable. Because, he always lived like a lone wolf doing nothing interesting in his life. But then,miraculously, he began to fill comfortable. It was as if someone has embraced him with their warm body. The reason he felt warm and comfortable was because his pierced heart was healing itself automatically or rather with the help of that floating screen. Ingrit opened his eyes:


    Surprisingly, I am feeling warm. What''s happening now?


    [Your heart is being healed]


    [Remember: this is just a one time thing. So if your heart were to pierce ever again it can''t be healed.]


    After few minutes had passed, he heard a clicking sound inside his head again, then another notification appeared before him.


    [ Healing is complete. You may now rise up.]


    Ingrit was feeling good as new. Thanks to the floating screen he was given a second chance in life. His eyes became full of life again. Also, he found ample amount of strength to stand up. So, he rose on his feet, standing with his head lowered a bit , partially bathed in blood.


    [Now kill one of those two or your heart will stop.]


    Just when Ingrit thought the screen is a lifesaver, it dropped a bombshell of shock on him. He frowned, and thought:


    WHAT!?

 Chapter 2: Awakening

    What!?


    Ingrit, looking baffled.


    "Are you for real?"


    [Condition: Your revival mean death of another living being. So, taking a life is essential.]


    [Once you have killed one of those two, you will truly earn the right to living freely. Otherwise, you will die]


    [It yours life or theirs. The decision is yours


    ]


    Those men heard Ingrit''s voice, and turned their head.


    The one that stabbed him looked flabbergasted, because he knew the wound he delivered to him was nothing short of fatal, enough to kill him.


    But there he was, standing like nothing had happened. Even the bloodshed had stopped.


    "How is this possible? Just who the hell are you?" Feist widened his eyes, and wore a heavy expression as he asked him that.


    Ingrit was slightly leaning forward, and his head a bit lowered. He sighed, then looked up at them, saying:


    "I would like to know that myself."


    [Notification: Your power has awakened]


    As soon as these words appeared before Ingrit, he got enveloped by a purplish energy.


    Being perplexed by this he thought to himself:


    Huh?! What is this energy.


    Ingrit could feel an ample amount of calming energy flowing inside his body. It was more than a calming feeling. It was as if this energy was always inside his body, waiting to be unleashed from its latent state. He was getting overwhelmed by this energy.


    His eyes became lively as he grinned, and said with excitement on his face:


    "It''s cool ! Now I have power like Lightning Clown!"


    He closed his eyes, and exhaled. He could feel energy was reaching to every parts of his inner body from his heart. Oddly, his hair was turning white. He slowly opened his eyes, but as ill-luck would have it, he saw a fist violently approaching him, not being able to dodge, the fist connected to his face, and hammered his face so violently that it made him fall on his back, making an impact. Blood flew out of his nose, leaving him in state of concussion.


    He was at a lost. Because, everything happened so fast that he couldn''t even comprehend what had happened. He tried looking ,but his vision was blurry. His body wasn''t also moving. He just laid there helplessly like a prey.


    Feist was sneering at Ingrit.


    "What a fool you are! You know, you would be dead now if I had used my black sphere instead of my fist."


    This guy is no ordinary guy. This is why I didn''t kill him just now. I need to first report this to No.1.


    Feist thought.


    The moment he saw Ingrit getting enveloped by that purplish energy, something came back to his mind. It was a memory that didn''t belong to him. In this memory he saw a gigantic silhouette with large wings standing, it was as if he was facing off against someone. Seeing that and getting the same feeling from Ingrit made his body move on his own, and punch Ingrit. Since, that memory didn''t to him, he thought that might belong to his lord, the one who bestowed him a glimpse of his power.


    That man turned his head, looking at his new ally ,and smirked as he said:


    "Show me what you can do,Thot or something."


    Feist pointed his right index finger at concussed Ingrit, and said:


    "If you can kill him you will officially be one of us. Besides, it would be interesting to watch two inexperienced power holder fight each other."


    "I will do as you say", Thot said, looking serious.


    Meanwhile, Ingrit was freed from his concussed state, and tried to get up. His face was a mess. Due to nosebleeding his lips, cheeks and chin were covered in blood. He leaned on his right hand as he sat, groaning.


    Suddenly, he saw a purplish screen appeared before him.

    What''s that supposed to be?


    He thought to himself while groaning in pain, holding his nose lightly with his right hand. But he didn''t have any time to keep looking at it. Because, Thot was already Infront of him, staring him down.


    Ingrit was looking at him with his helpless eyes, then quickly side- glanced. Thot then made a stomped with his right leg, but it didn''t work. Because, Ingrit dodged to his left, and turned his whole body, then grabbed a pebble with his right hand, without Thot noticing. After that, he slightly glanced at him, and threw it hard in a attempt to hit his left eye, thinking even though it wouldn''t be enough to deliver him any fatal damage, but at least it might buy him some time.


    But, it missed its mark by a hair, and hit Thot''s eyebrow. He felt a dull pain, and grabbed his left eye.


    Though, it didn''t go exactly Ingrit thought it would, but still it might have just given him enough time to do some damage, so ignoring his own pain, he quickly got up, and elbowed Thot on his nose, using his right elbow. Now this time, he felt a sharp pain.


    "Aaah."


    He groaned in pain.


    Ingrit didn''t stop there. He knew that was the chance to take that guy down. He clinged his teeth, and with a determined eyes, grabbed that man''s head and Shoved it against the building wall in the right side. His temple was violently hit. Thot fell on his knees.


    "Damn that hurts, you bastard."

    Thinking that he didn''t waste any time turning around, and ran as fast as he could. After exiting the alley, he thought he would come across people. But, unfortunately there were barely any people at all except for few kids playing around, and vehicles of cloud going to their destination at full speed.


    Ingrit knew he would be no match against the two of them. After all, he awakened his power just now. So, there''s no way he could beat two people who has powers--one experienced and one newbie.


    As he was running, he cursed himself:


    Damn it. This is pathetic. But, I value my life over a fight that I can''t win.


    He squinted as he was running to see if they were following him. Seeing that Thot was running towards him from behind, made Ingrit''s face tense.

    Having no time to think, he did as it suggested. He placed his left palm below his right one with a gap of 6 centimeters.


    "What should I do next?"


    He shouted as he asked the screen.

    Since he can''t run and concentrate at the same time. He looked back again, and saw Thot was still far away from him. So, he stopped, and turned around, then began to visualize what the screen told him to do by closing his eyes. After closing his eyes he took a deep breath, and exhaled it.


    Now visualize.


    He clinged his teeth while his face got shaded with fear and anxiety of getting killed. He was having difficulty concentrating knowing that Thot was approaching him with a killing intent, and if he fails to manifest his power then he would die.


    Come on, concentrate ,damn it. Calm the hell down.


    After struggling for a bit, he had ,somewhat, calmed down, and began to visualize his purplish energy flowing from his heart to both of his hands. But there''s the tricky part. No matter how much he was trying he couldn''t transform it into a big sphere.


    The clock was ticking as Thot was closing in at a great speed. As he was running towards Ingrit, stretched his hands, and then something unbelievable happened to both of them. Both of his hands rifted till his elbows, and was turned into a silvery scissors. As soon as those turned into them, Thot put a smirk on his face covered with blood.


    Sadly, Ingrit was still struggling forming a sphere. Energies were coming out from both of his palms, and colliding with each other in the middle point of the gap. Slowly, it was forming into a sphere but in a unstable way.


    But he was running out of time, as Thot was already 20 centimeters away from him. Ingrit opened his eyes full determination, and shouted:


    "FORM, DAMN IT."


    Miraculously, as if, heeding to his command it formed into a 8 centimeters long sphere. As soon as it completed forming, he grabbed it with his right hand, and threw it towards Thot, which luckily landed on his chest. Upon landing on his chest it illuminated him in purple for a brief moment, and then created an impact powerful enough to sent him back rolling by at least one yard.


    Ingrit looked at the fallen Thot with his tired eyes, as he was losing his breath. Thinking that he might be down for good, he sat down, and rested on his knees.


    But, it was far from over. Because, Thot''s eyes were still open, getting consumed with rage. He did a kip up, and rose to his feet, enduring the pain from Ingrit''s attack.


    Seeing him stand brought a hopeless expression on Ingrit''s face. As he saw Thot dashing towards him, he mustered some strength to rise on his feet, and placed his hand like before to produce a sphere.


    I don''t know if it will work or not. But, at least I should give it a try.


    "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"


    As he concentrated the purplish energy in the middle point of his palms, he screamed.


    The energy was so bright that it illuminated Ingrit''s bruised face in beautiful purple color. It was unstably forming.


    But before he could complete it, he had to duck. Because, if he hadn''t then the scissors would have chopped him in half. The scissors made a loud sound as its blade collided with one and the other.


    Ingrit from that position leaped at him with his completed purplish sphere, and hit it on his face with his right hand. That made a big shockwave, and strangled Thot''s neck, which killed him on the spot.


    Thot, defeated and killed, sprawled on the hard ground with his eyes rolled back, while Ingrit fell facing the ground. Right after that, he heard some clicking sounds.


    [Congratulations: You have earned 10,000 coins for killing a living being]


    [You have unlocked a new ability called ''Wing of Dracid'']


    [You have leveled up]


    [You have obtained 5% power of Dracid]


    Ingrit, with his face against the hard pitched road, stared at those sets of words that were floating before his eyes, blankly. First of all, he was heavily exhausted for using two of the spheres right of the bat. His body wasn''t still used to his new found power. So, overuse of it caused his body excruciating pain. Secondly, he just killed a human, his first at that. With all that exhaustion, physical pain, and a heavy sense guilt he was completely devastated.


    Ingrit tried to ignore the pains and barely managed to stand up. After standing up he walked to the wide white pillar, which wasn''t more than 13-15 centimeters away from him. After getting there he turned around, and sat with his back against the piller, stretching his legs.


    "Congratulations, boy."


    Feist stomped on Thot''s head with his right foot, as he said that. He also added with a smirk:


    "I am highly disappointed at this bastard for turning out to be such a disappointment. Both of you were new at using your powers, but you still did great compare to him."


    Feist was standing before Ingrit with a excited eyes. He observed him for a while. Ingrit, on the other hand, is looking lifeless. He knew he will be killed by him for sure. And there''s no way for him to prevent that. Because, he was out of strength. So, he closed his eyes, and accepted his fate of being killed by him.


    But, Ingrit didn''t know that Feist wasn''t interested in killing him, at least not yet. Feist turned around, and said:


    "You are safe for now. But remember this: I know your face. So, there''s no escape from me. Stay safe until we cross our path again."


    Ingrit opened his exhausted eyes in shock, and looked at Feist ,who was leaving. After he had left, Ingrit looked at the afternoon, as the sun light bathed him in yellow.

    Meanwhile at a drug manufacturing factory:


    Everyone inside had been killed brutally. Someone of them looked like they had been fried to a crisp, while some were missing their heads and other body parts. The hallway was no different. It was completely painted with the blood of those headless bodies'' owners, resting on the floor.


    Within that factory inside a wide room, was 5 man shaking in their boots. Four of them was shielding an important looking middle aged man wearing black suit. He was probably the owner of the factory.


    His bodyguards were wielding swords. Suddenly, an approaching foot steps could be heard. As it was becoming louder by the second, it made all 5 of them gasp. Because, they all knew the grim reaper himself was approaching towards them, and there''s no escape from him.


    All five of them were looking at the opened door. Then, they saw Lighting-Clown, bathed in fresh blood, walking into the room not worrying about those guards at all. He looked at them with his bloody white clown mask on his face.


    "Don''t come any closer."


    One of them said, looking terrified and shaking.


    It wasn''t just him who was looking terrified. Everyone was shaking, and gasping.


    But, Lightning-clown didn''t pay any heed to them, and was walking with a slowly but steady pace. Seeing that all four of the bodyguards gritted their teeth, and held their swords tightly. Then with a blink of an eyes, all four of their heads were flying in the mid air, moreover, Lightning-clown was already Infront of the boss'' face with his body sparkly with lightning.


    All of their severed heads, after flying for awhile, fell with thuds on the floor along with their bodies, which completely splattered the floor with blood.


    "W-why are you doing th- this?"


    The man shakily said that.


    "This is my job. I do anything for money."


    He said with a calm voice.


    "No,wait. We-"


    Before he could finish speaking his upper body fell off.

 Chapter 3: A new beginning

    A broken warehouse: sunlight was coming inside the room through a broken window.


    That warehouse was one of the hideouts of the dangers that lurks in the shadows.


    "I have found a new power-holder like Lightning-clown, No.1."


    Feist said that, sitting on a round wooden chair.


    No.1 with Its unsteady form, asked:


    "Did you do anything to him?"


    "No."


    Feist said with a neutral expression.


    No.1 smiled, and said,


    "Good. We shouldn''t do anything to do those power-holders. ''Cause, our lord would need playthings after he wakes from his long slumber. So, we should just leave them be."


    "Including that guy from yesterday, there are now 5 power-holders in total. But, do you honestly think that leaving them be would be a good idea. This might hinder us from moving freely and implementing our master plan."


    No.1 sighed, and said:


    "If they get in our way, then you are permitted to get rid of them without any delay. I am sure Lord Ultimate would understand that, and let us off the hook."

    Ingrit, taking a shower while his hands were against the tiled wall, and head a bit lowered.

    Givan was a bit taken aback by Ingrit''s sudden expressiveness. That made him glad. So, he put on a dampened smile.

    After that conversation of their''s Ingrit''s mind was a bit at ease.


    After that they didn''t talk much, and headed straight to their classroom. But there was a big commotion. Almost all of the female students were encircling someone, and was obsessed over something. The boys tried to looked too, but failed miserably due to all the girls creating walls around that certain someone.

    Givan gulped, and said:

After that, taking a deep breath, she said:

    When he looked back, he saw a cute small animal, which had body structure like a cat. But it was completely different from a cat. It was standing on its feet, had small blue eyes, white color body, long pointy ears, small grayish nose, floppy wool, puny wings.


    It was, without a doubt, the cutest creature Ingrit had ever seen in his whole life.


    Though, he looked a little lost when he thought about the existence of a living being in this deserted looking world. Also, he wasn''t familiar with this kind of animal. So, he thought he needed to be cautious a little around that little creature. But, seeing this cutesy creature, he couldn''t just resist the urge to pet it. After all, he likes petting animals. So, he went the near the little guy, and sat on his knees, then began petting it on the chin.


    So far everything was going smoothly. But then, he noticed while petting it on its chin that the small creature was shaking. After a few seconds, its whole body was beginning get bigger, and more viler.


    He immediately rose up, and took a few steps backwards, looking terrified.


    The cutesy creature he was petting before wasn''t cutesy anymore. Instead, it was looking like a wild beast. It''s body has gotten bigger by at least 1 mitre, the body color changed to gray, fingernails grew larger and pointy, the wing grew bigger, eyes turned crimson red, bigger sharp teeth. Saliva was dripping from its maw, and it was standing like a human.


    It now has completely been turned into something terrifying.


    With great perplexity, Ingrit was looking at it, and taking few steps backwards, quickly.

 Chapter 6: Retreat

    Ingrit gasped in terror, staring at the beast.


    One of the deadly claws of the beast pierced the wind as it approached towards Ingrit to slash him. He jumped a few centimeters back, and his back hit against the giant wall. Though, he managed to survive from that deadly claw attack, but now there was no were to run for him. So, he glanced sideways, and ran to his left.


    He was heading in the direction of the forest.


    Seeing that the beast began to fly towards Ingrit.


    Ingrit began to curse himself for being unable to use his power properly. He had to close his eyes to manifest his sphere of Dracid. Moreover, it takes 30-50 seconds for it to be fully manifested, which would give the beast ample amount of time to tear Ingrit into pieces. So, he had no choice but to run, and find a hiding place in the forest, where he could focus on manifesting his sphere, and end this nightmare once and for all.


    "What the heck is this thing?!"


    He asked the system as he ran in the direction of the forest.

    In this field of dense trees, it couldn''t spot Ingrit at all. So, its began to grind its teeth. As it was grinding teeth, saliva was dripping from its maw. It then roared loudly, which shook the air around him. After that he landed on the ground.


    It slowly began to walk forward while grunting. It was heading in the direction of a giant boulder.


    As ill-luck would have it, Ingrit was behind that boulder still trying to manifest his sphere, closing his eyes and sitting on the ground. But, luckily, it would take the beast 50-60 seconds to get to that boulder, if only it kept on walking at its normal speed. By that time Ingrit would have finished manifesting his sphere. In fact, it was almost close to completion.


    Sadly, the casper had a strong sense of smell. So, it sniffed, and figured out that his prey was hiding behind that boulder. So, it rush towards that boulder like a hungry wild beast with its red glowing eyes.


    After reaching near the boulder, the casper grabbed it with both of its hands, and lifted up the boulder, which exposed Ingrit.     The casper, with great strength, began to lift down the boulder to smash Ingrit.


    But, before the boulder could hit him, he got up, and leaped forward, then rolled. As a result, the boulder smash the soiled ground instead of Ingrit himself.


    This was Ingrit''s change to strike. Because, he managed to manifest the sphere completely. Now, all he needed was to throw the sphere at the vile beast''s face, and then everything would be over.


    Without wasting any time, he threw the sphere at the casper, and it perfectly landed on his face, which caused a huge explosive impact. It sent him backwards by at least half a mitre.


    But, deep down he feared that a 8 centimeters long sphere might not be enough to kill that thing. Because, it simply didn''t have much energy in it.


    As if, to answer his lingering fear, the beast stood there like nothing had happened to it at all. Even though, his left eye was completely damaged, he didn''t seem to mind that at all.


    It was grunting, and slowly approaching towards its pray.


    "Come on! You gotta be kidding me!"


    Ingrit exclaimed with utter shock on his face.


    Though, he anticipated something like that to happen, but still he simply didn''t want his anticipation to turn into a reality.


    "Not again!"


    Ingrit knew what he had to do next. And, he was hardly happy about it. Because, he was sick of running. He had been running for quite a while now. But still, in order to survive he had no choice but to run with every ouch of his strength. So, after quickly turning the other way, with great speed he dashed forward.


    But, the beast this time, instead of going after him, it lifted up the boulder and threw it towards Ingrit.


    Getting crushed by that approaching boulder would mean certain death for him.


    He turned his head a little, and sidestepped. Thus, he was saved from getting crushed under that boulder. The boulder landed right beside him. It was a close call for him. If he had been a few seconds late to sidestep, then he would have,undoubtedly, been crushed to death by that boulder. He gulped a little, imagining that worst possible scenario.


    Unfortunately, before he could even realize it, he was caught in the left hand of the casper. It grabbed onto him tightly. The force was so strong that Ingrit felt like his entire body was about to be squashed.


    It slowly opened its maw, and at a normal speed brought Ingrit to its maw. He could smell foul scent coming out of its mouth as it was bringing him near its maw. It smelled so bad that it made Ingrit puke.


    Ingrit''s heart was beating faster, and his face grew very pale. But still, he wasn''t just about to about to give up and die here. He simply couldn''t afford to die. So, he made a disparate attempt to save himself from its terrifying maw. He hit his head against the casper''s right eye violently.


    It made the casper to loosen its grip. Thus an opportunity was presented before him for a narrow escape. He again hit him with his head on its right eyes, hoping for it to let him loose. And, it actually worked! The casper let go of him, and grabbed his right eye.


    The casper did feel pain a little. But, the reason he let go of him and grabbed his right eye, was to protect his only remaining eye. If it lost it, it would be unable to see for the rest of its life, which would make it hard for the casper to hunt its prey.


    Ingrit rose on his feet, and grabbed his head. Because, after hitting his head not once but twice against the casper''s eye, it made him feel an excruciating amount of pain. Its skin was a lot tougher than it looked like.


    That hurts!


    But still, he didn''t want to waste this opportunity. So, he ran towards the light at the end of the forest. It was ,without a doubt, the exit.


    He ran as fast as he could, and managed to reach near the light. But, he didn''t stop there, he ran through it, and exited the forest. As soon as he stepped outside, he slipped, and slid down the tall ground.


    Luckily, it wasn''t so tall to cause any injures if one fell down from there. So, without any injures he landed on the field full of long green grass. Then, he looked up at the forest, hearing a strong pressing sound.


    The forest''s exit point seemed to serve as a barrier against that beast. Because, the moment it tried to exit the forest, it completely pushed the casper back. It was trying to exit the forest over and over again, but failing each time.


    That made Ingrit relief. Now, he could finally catch a breath, and prepare his solid counter attack. Then, he could finally get out of this place.


    With eyes full of determination, he said, "I will slay you."

 Chapter 7: Preparing a counter attack

    Ingrit, placing his right hand above his left hand, and was trying to manifest the sphere while keeping his eyes opened.


    Thankfully, the system had laid a barrier against the casper, which now allowed Ingrit to focus on perfecting his sphere of dracid. As a matter of fact, the whole point of this second phase of the training was to enable Ingrit to master his sphere of dracid, or so the system told him a little while ago.


    So, he was hyper focused on manifesting a sphere. A little sphere was forming in the gap between his hands. It was vaguely illuminating Ingrit''s face and hands. Though, the sphere was still unstable and flickering.


    Never before in his entire life he had to stay focused like right now. At first he struggled a little, but then as he was more and more trying to create the sphere while keeping his eyes opened, he entered into a flow state before he even realized it.


    His effort to manifesting the sphere was finally paying off. The sphere stopped flickering, and was becoming more and more stable with every passing seconds.


    Instead of being happy, Ingrit''s face was still calm, dead set on manifesting the sphere no matter what.


    After a while, the sphere was growing between the gap of his hands. After growing till 8 centimeters mitres, it stopped growing Amy further. But, Ingrit got a little greedy, and thought of producing a much bigger sphere than that one. Because, this small sphere was hardly enough to kill that tough beast. So, he kept at it, and was trying to enlarge the sphere.


    He began to feel exhausted, and also sweat could be seen dripping down from his body. Still, he wasn''t about to give up enlarging the sphere just because he was feeling exhaustion. He thought if he didn''t go beyond his limit he would never be able to grow as a power holder. So, he took a deep breath, and kept on going.


    Then a miracle unfolded right before his eyes. The sphere was actually getting bigger. Like this, it got bigger by at least two fold. When it finally got 16 centimeters long, he put on a smile on his face.


    Then he disabled the sphere, and sprawled on the grassy field. For the first time in his life, he felt like he had truly accomplished something. That fact made Ingrit feel extremely proud of himself.


    Finally!....I managed to create a sphere while keeping my eyes open the whole time.


    He thought as he was panting.


    "Give me an fatigue removal potion."


    He requested the system.


    Then a small flask containing blue liquid appeared in his hand. After that, he uncapped it, and drank the potion.


    In the next moment, he was feeling recharged. But this time something was a little bit different. Though, it was hardly noticable. He felt that unlike the last time when he drank the potion and felt completely recharged, this time he was still feeling a hint of exhaustion lingering inside him. He assumed maybe it had something to do with overusing it. The more he would use it within a day the less effective it would become.

    Ingrit then sat up, and rose on his feet. His preparation was far from over. He still had to learn how to use his one other ability called wing of dracid.


    But, before that he had to address a more pressing matter. And, that was to find some drinkable water. He was feeling very thirsty. So, to quench his thirst he started walking forward to find any drinkable water.


    For a second, he wanted to ask if the system had any drinkable water stored in it. But, then he thought the possibility of it having any drinkable water was very low or zero.


    Will I even find any drinkable water here?


    He wondered.


    There was no end of the grassy field. He kept on walking and walking but failed to spot any source of water. At one point he thought of giving up finding water. But still, his thirst was intense. No matter what he had to drink some water.


    After walking for about half an hour, he came across an old and mostly a broken well. Finally, finding some water made him happy. He then went near the well, and fetched some water from within it with a bucket.


    After fetching it, he first stared at it, thinking if it would be safe to drink the water or not. But, after staring at it for awhile, he just cupped his hands, then filled it with water, and drank it greedily.


    After finishing almost half of the water from the bucket, his thirst was finally quenched.


    Afterwards, he turned the other way, was preparing to use his wings of dracid.


    He closed his eyes, and inhaled and exhaled the air for awhile, then opened his eyes again, looking very focused.


    I know I can pull it off. So, let''s get started.


    He then began to channel his purple energy to his back. Then visualized forming wings on his back.


    The purple energy began to envelope his back, and the energy was trying to shaped itself into wings. Though, it was still far from completely forming. But, for some reason he wasn''t having any difficulty forming the wings like he had with forming the sphere.


    After a bit of struggle he managed to form the wings. The wings looked very beautiful. The wings were purple color, which was completely covered with purple long acute features.


    Ingrit locked back, and said:


    "It formed rather smoothly."


    But, the next part would undoubtedly be tricky, and it was flying. After taking a deep breath, he looked forward, and began to flap his wings. As he was flapping them, he heart began to beat louder and faster. He was a bit afraid of flying in the sky. Because, it was his very first try in flying in the sky. And, making a mistake was all but inevitable. After all, nobody succeeds in their first attempt.


    So, if he somehow became unable to control his wings after taking off to the sky, it would mean certain death for him. And, that scared him a lot. Anxiety and fear was taking over his face.


    But, he knew if he didn''t take any risk he won''t be able grow. So, he tried to suppress his emotions of fear and anxiety, and began to flap his wings faster.


    "Fly. Fly. Fly."


    He shouted, which looked as if he was trying to calm himself.


    Slowly but surely, his feets began to take off from the ground. After few seconds, he was rising even higher. Like this he rose 50 centimeters from the ground.


    Then, he tried to head in the direction of the forest with the help of his wings. But things didn''t go well for him. He couldn''t even stay 10 seconds in the air. Before that he fell with his face slamming against the grassy field.


    "Aaaw."


    He groaned.


    After a while, he sat on his knees. He then touched his nose with his right hand. As soon as he touched it, it made him feel a sharp pain. Then he moved his right hand from his nose, and saw few drops of blood sticking on his fingers.


    His nose was bleeding.


    But despite that, he stood up, and tried to fly again. But this time was the same as the last time, he failed. Then, He again made an attempt, but this time was also the same. Like this kept on trying and failing.


    Just when it seemed he was getting nowhere, he finally managed to fly properly.


    Though he was still flying half a metre above the ground. But, it was undeniably a big achievement.


    This time he was able to stay in the air for much longer, and he was, without falling, flying towards the forest.


    "Heck yeah! I did it!"


    He exclaimed in happiness as he flew towards the forest.


    After some time, he reached near the forest, and landed on the spot where he fell down.


    Then standing before the slope, he confidently grinned, and said:


    " It time to utilize every weapon that I have in my arsenal and slay that monster."

 Chapter 8: Facing off against the casper

    A some kind of liquid is dropping on the soiled ground, a grunting could be heard, then the sound of sniffing. All of this belong to the casper, who was roaming the forest like a wild animal.


    After a while, it smelled a familiar scent. It was the scent of Ingrit. Smelling the scent, it didn''t was any time turning around. Then it saw Ingrit standing outside of the forest, the place where he entered the forest from.


    Ingrit got to that place by flying over a route, which was at the west corner of the forest. After completing mastering his skills, he scouted the area near the tall forest. After scouting for a while, he found a pathway which leaded to the other side of the forest. It was a safe path for him to get the other side of the forest without getting noticed by the casper. And it actually worked. He was able to get to the spot where he entered the forest from safely.


    It was as though the beast was smiling seeing its prey. Since the forest was full of trees, it would be hard for the casper to flying through the forest. So, It opened its maw, and ran towards Ingrit at full speed on its feet.


    Ingrit just stood there, calmly. For some reason he wasn''t afraid this time. Instead, his face was brimming with confidence.


    After few seconds, the casper almost reached near Ingrit. Then, the moment the beast took another step towards him, his feet suddenly got stuck to something, which prevented him from going any further.


    The thing he got his foots stuck in was like a thicker version of spider web. The web was completely crimson red. It covered all almost 40 centimeters of the area in the forest.


    The spider web was a trap laid by Ingrit himself to entrapped the beast in it. After getting here first thing he did was use one of his extra abilities called '' Red Spider Threads '' , which cost him 3,000 coins, and laid the threads to entrap the casper.


    It was a kind of sticky spider threads ,which was sticky enough to even entrap the giants, which also known as Colossus''. Though, there was no way for Ingrit to know if the threads could actually entrap a colossus or not since they went the extinct a long time ago. This was something the system told him.


    Anyway, getting stuck in the middle of the threads made the casper unable move its feets. It was struggling to set its feets free from the crimson red threads, but no matter how much it tried it couldn''t free its feet at all.


    Perfect.


    Ingrit thought with a grin.


    Seeing the beast failing to set its feets free from the threads made one thing clear to Ingrit. It was that if the casper, which seemed to be very strong, couldn''t pull its feets out from the sticky threads, then it meant he could use this against those possessed human, the ones who have been given the small fragments of Ultimate''s power.


    But soon he began to doubt that. Because, that beast was not intelligent. So, it was no effort at all for Ingrit to lead it to his trap. But, on the other hand, human was intelligent.     Anyway, with a smirk on Ingrit''s face, he said:


    "You are doom."


    Then, he placed his right hand above his left one, then he began to manifest his sphere of dracid while keeping his eyes opened. The light of the purple color sphere illuminated Ingrit''s face, which looked very mesmerizing.


    After a while, he completed manifesting it, then threw it with his right hand at the casper''s face. It was a precise straight to face shot. Right after connecting with the casper''s face, the improved version of the sphere made a huge explosive impact, which shook the beast''s brain, and made it fall on its knees.


    But, it was still breathing even though it was severely wounded. If it was any normal human, then they would have died instantly after getting hit by one of his improved version of the sphere.


    Though, Ingrit had accounted for that. So, he had already manifested a second sphere right after releasing the first one.


    Then, he threw the second one again at the casper''s face, which upon contact, made an explosive impact. This time the explosive impact sent the casper''s head flying by at least more than half a meter, killing him in the spot.


    After that, the headless body of the beast fell on the ground with a thud, and spluttered the soiled ground with its red blood. Thus, the hunter became the hunted.


    It was over. Ingrit''s nightmare finally came to an end. Few windows appeared before him:

    But, still he can''t just always rely on the potion''s help. He needed to built enough stamina to manifest more than 2 spheres a day without getting much exhausted. With sufficient amount of training, he would definitely be able to built enough stamina to produce 2 spheres a day. After all, the system was doing its best by providing him with the right training to get him in shape.


    If he trains regularly he will get in shape in no time. But then again it wasn''t a matter of ''if''.


    Because, he had to participate in training everyday no matter what, otherwise he would suffer penalty.


    Ingrit was finally comfortably sprawling on the ground. He stared at the amber sky, and then closed them.

    Then, a sound echoed in his head. Hearing that he opened his eyes, and saw a notification window before him.

    Ingrit, in his school uniform, walking in the hallway of his school. He seemed to be lost in thought, not paying any attention to his surroundings.


    As he was walking to get to his classroom, he slightly bumped into someone. That brought Ingrit back to the reality, then he looked at the girl he bumped into, and apologized, holding his neck with his right:


    "I-I am sorry. I wasn''t paying any attention to my surroundings."


    The girl had short gray hair, blue eyes, amber skin, wearing a pair of triangle shaped earrings. She was shorter than Ingrit, and was wearing her school uniform.


    The girl didn''t mind Ingrit bumping into her at all. Instead, she blushed a little, and smiled, then said:


    "Don''t worry. It''s fine."


    Saying that she bowed a little, then turning around she left the place.


    Ingrit widened his eyes, and stared at her leaving for a while. He then frowned, and thought:


    That girl. Who was she again?


    He struggled for a while to remember who she was. After thinking for a while, he remembered.


    Oh. She is from class 9. One class below me. Her name was..Adni..I think.


    Then he turned around, and opened the door of his classroom, then got into the classroom.


    But, after entering into his classroom he saw an astonishing sight. It made him so stunned that he stood beside the door, widening his eyes.


    He saw Givan talking to Saiya without getting nervous at all. Anyone would think that they were old friends or something by seeing the way they were talking to each other. But then again Givan was always the kind of guy who could start a conversation with anyone he met.


    Ow, holy shit. I know that I told the guy to go get close to her. But, isn''t he taking things too fast?


    Ingrit thought, as he looked dumbfounded.


    He then quietly went over to his seat, and sat there. After a while, as Givan was talking to her, he noticed Ingrit sitting on his seat.


    Seeing him, Givan waved his right hand at him, and said:


    "Ingrit, come here."


    "No. I am fine over here."


    He refused, and looked outside the window, putting his chin on his right hand.


    Getting refused by Ingrit, Givan sighed, and told Saiya:


    "He is like that. The dude is a bit shy type."


    Hearing Givan say ''shy type'' made Ingrit flinched. Also, to make things even worse he was saying that to a girl. So, he got irritated a little, and thought:

    Saiya said as she put on a dampened smile on her face.


    Ingrit wasn''t really the shy type. It just Givan''s way to tease the poor guy.

When he was 8--13 years old, he used to play with the others kids, talked more expressively, acted like extrovert etc. But, as he grew up he become somewhat introverted, and became someone who liked to talk less.


    But, back in the first training quest he was beginning to show more of his inner self. For instance, he smiled or grinned a lot in there, which he doesn''t do in public.


    Despite that, he was a considerate boy. He developed the ability to be considerate from his age of fifteen. He acted kindly with kind people, a bit harsh with harsh people and coldly with the ones who annoyed him beyond his temper limit.


    Anyway, Givan and Saiya''s conversation got interrupted when the bell rang for the class to start. So, hearing the bell Givan went back to his seat. Then a teacher entered into the classroom.


    Every students were a bit surprised not seeing their gorgeous teacher. Instead, there was a middled-aged male teacher.


    After entering the room, the middle-aged teacher said:


    "Your homeroom teacher Armia Neumi caught a fever. So, she took the day off."


    Hearing that some students were a bit worried, and some felt disappointed. Ingrit was one of those who got disappointed hearing the news. Although, he also looked worried.


    The teacher continued:


    "So, today I will be your homeroom teacher."

    After the end of the first period, Ingrit went up to the roof, and stood before the railing of the roof. He was deeply lost in thoughts, gazing at the azure sky full of giant clouds not too high up from the rooftop.


    With his hands in his pant''s pocket, and gazing at the beautiful sight of the sky, he was thinking:


    Now that I have power what should my goal be? Though, the system told me that with my newly awakened power I have to get stronger so that I can be prepared when the time comes to face off against the Ultimate..But is that all? I always wanted to have superpower. And now I have what I desired for the longest period of my life. So, now what? What should I really do with the power that I have other than facing off against an enemy that I don''t even know?..I don''t know.


    Just too much things happened with Ingrit within just 48 hours. First, he learned about the darkness that lurks in the shadows of the world he lives in.


    Secondly, he had awaken his power which he never knew he had.


    Thirdly, he had learned that he was Incarnation of Dracid, one of the 9 colossus'' who fought against the Ultimate. Then, there was also the matter of colossus, which actually existed thousands of years ago. Until now, he only thought of them as myth. So, suddenly learning that they existed made him very perplexed.


    Finally, there was Ultimate. By the sound of the system''s explanation, it seemed to him that that Ultimate guy was so strong that 9 most powerful colossus'' needed to join forces together to seal him away. Moreover, Ultimate was so strong that they couldn''t even defeat him. Instead, sealing him away was the only thing they could manage to do. But, that seal would be broken soon in the distant future.


    But, one fact was still perplexing Ingrit more than any of the above, and that was the extinction of Colossus. How could an entire race of Colossus have gone extinct ,was a question echoing in Ingrit''s mind. Moreover, how come human didn''t even know about their existence, was another question that was running around in circle in his mind.


    Ingrit then sighed.


    I wonder what kind of person the other power holders are. I definitely would love to meet them.


    "So, you are up here."


    Abruptly, Ingrit''s thinking got interrupted by a familiar voice of girl. He turned this head, and saw that it was Saiya, who''s ponytail hair danced a little due to the gentle flow of the wind.


    "What are you doing up here, Ingrit?"


    She asked with a smile on her face....

 Chapter 10: The obsessive girl

    "Nothing."


    Ingrit said with a neutral expression.


    Saying that he turned his head, and looked at the sky.


    Seeing Ingrit not showing any sign of affection towards her made Saiya feel a bit insult. After all, her entire life she had been spoiled by her parents and the others around her. Thanks to her profound beauty, she was not only beloved but also envied by others.


    She showed a hint of irritation on her face, and thought:


    What wrong with this guy?


    Then she smirked a Little.


    It doesn''t matter. I will make this guy fall in love with me then dump him like I always do with other boys. Let''s see.. I should ask him out on a date first.


    Then she took a deep breath, and asked with an innocent expression:


    "Ingrit. Would you like to go on a date with me?"


    Ingrit turned his head to her, and frowned.


    "No, thanks. I am not interested in you."


    "What?"


    It was as if an arrow of insult had pierced through her heart hearing his refusal. She felt devastated, but tried her best not to show it on her face.


    Ingrit sighed.


    "Don''t take it the hard way. After all, we know each other for only 2 days. There''s no way I would grow interested in you in just 2 days."


    Ingrit tried to be a little considerate. At first, he thought he would dump stuffs like ''you are not my type'', ''I don''t like your attitude'', and stuffs like that on her. But, he had a change of heart, and thought it would be too cruel to turn her down like that. Besides, later on, he would feel bad for being too harsh. So, he took the less harmful approach, and said what he said.


    "Anyway, let''s go back to classroom. The class will start soon."


    Saying that he began to walk towards the yellowish wooden door to leave the place. After reaching near the door he opened it, and exited through the door.


    On the other hand, Saiya was just standing there being speechless and a bit embarrassed. So, she waited there a little for Ingrit to descend down the stairs.

    Ingrit descended down the stairs, and started to head to his classroom. Seeing him Adni, the girl with gray hair who was bumped into by Ingrit earlier, blushed.


    She was standing in the hallway. Though, Ingrit didn''t notice her, but for some reason she was staring at his back with eager eyes.


    Then, after a few seconds, she saw Saiya coming down from the stairs, which flabbergasted her. She frowned, and thought:


    What was she doing up on the roof with Ingrit?..That can''t be right. Is she Ingrit''s girlfriend?


    Thinking that she squeezed her right hand, and cast a furious and envious eyes at Saiya.


    I won''t let her have him.


    Meanwhile in Gotect:

    The cloud was getting darker, and the roaring of thunder could be heard. Then suddenly, the cloud above them flashed with lighting ,and a lightning bolt


    struck the snowy road with a ear piercing roar.


    People around the area shouted, and ran back.


    The place where the lightning had strike was engulfed in steam. Inside that steam was standing a man, who was wearing a sad, expressionless smiling clown mask. It was non other than the Lightning-clown.


    Generally, people traveled one cloud state to another by flying castle and small flying boat. Since flying castle was very expensive, most of the people traveled by small flying boats, which was very cheap.


    But in Lightning-clown''s case, he came to this cloud state with the help of his power, lightning. With it he can travel vast distances in a very short amount of time by traveling through his lightning speed.


    Anyway, seeing that white clown like mask, few people remaining in the area immediately recognized him.


    "It''s Lightning-clown!"


    Those people exclaimed in astonishment seeing the renowned Lightning-clown in a cold biting place like this.

    After a bit of struggle, he stood up and looked at the Lightning-clown.


    "Good. Now show me the place where those possessed humen are."


    Lightning-clown said.


    The man first rubbed his face a little, then said:


    "Yeah. They are working in that office."


    He was pointing to a small rectangular shaped building with triangle shaped roof, which was covered in snow.


    "I see."


    Lightning-clown said.


    "Are you ready to go, Jepher?"


    Jepher''s face suddenly grew pale for some reason. Then he hurriedly said:


    "Wait, wait. Can you please go there by our feets instead of the help of your power?.. Traveling with that power of yours is nauseating."


    Lightning-clown sighed, and said:


    "Okay. Guess it can''t be helped."


    After that, they began to walk their way their. After reaching near the door of the building, Lightning-clown burst the door open.


    That alarmed the guards in black uniform, so they unsheathed their swords and pointed them at Lightning-clown.

    Then after a few seconds, they realized that it was Lightning-clown.

    Lightning-clown said, hurriedly.


    They all knew they were nothing before him. And, confronting him would mean unnecessary bloodshed. So, they make him a way , and let him and the middle-aged man go.


    Meanwhile, in one of the room, there was one young woman with short black hair sitting before a desk while 4 young adults sitting in the sofa beside the desk.


    "Slowly but surely Lord Ultimate''s followers is increasing."


    The young woman said with a smirk,as she rested her right leg on the top of her left knee.


    "Yes. Before long they will be all over the world."


    One of the young man with yellow hair said that.


    After that the door of the room got busted, and Lightning-clown entered the room, walking calmly.


    "So, which one?"


    He turned his head, and asked Jepher.


    Jesper looked at them, trying to confirm if all of them were possessed humans or not. After confirming it, he said:


    "All of them."


    "I see."


    Lightning-clown said as he turned his head to them.


    All of them were looking confused. Then suddenly, fear began to take over their face once they realized that it was none other than Lightning-clown.


    "Stay back."


    The yellow haired man shouted.


    "Oh there,buddy. Come the hell down."


    Lightning-clown leaned forward as he said that.


    Then he saw the woman standing up, and moving her hands to launch an attack to kill him. The four young man also stood up, and prepared to attacked.


    But then, in a flash of a second, all of their lower arms fell down. It took few seconds for them to realize that their lower arms had been cut off. After realizing it, they looked at their upper arms with confused eyes, and screamed in severe pain.


    Red blood was gushing out from both of their upper arms.


    Meanwhile, Lightning-clown disabled his lightning clad lower arm, and chuckled.


    "There can only be one superior human, and it''s ME. Since, you guys possess power, I have no choice but to kill you all. Because, if I don''t, I won''t be able to sleep at night in peace."


    And now back to Ingrit''s school:


    The second period had just ended. In the girl''s washroom, Adni was slamming the door out of anger.


    "Damn it. I gotta act fast or that bitch might steel him away from me."


    She said that with enraged eyes.


    She was absurdly angry about the fact that Ingrit and Saiya might be a couple.


    Then suddenly her right hand was turning pure white at an unbelievable rate. She looked at it, and said while being enraged:


    "If the push comes to shove, I will just have to kill her."

 Chapter 11: Savior

    Ever since Adni was little, great things were expected of her by her family. She was born in a family of geniuses. Her father was a great doctor, her mother a famous actor and her older brother was a scholar. But, Adni ,unlike her parents and older brother, was no where to being talented.


    She was just an average girl with no ambition and talent. For that reason she was always shunned by her family.


    Moreover, she used to be bullied by her classmates at school. So, there was no place where she would feel self-secure.


    As she was growing up, she was feeling mental breakdown, and becoming more and more mentally unstable.


    When she was 12 years old, she entered junior high-school. First few months, she was spending her time peacefully in the school. But, seeing that she was vulnerable, her classmates began to bully her.


    Thus, once again her suffering began at school. She was the type who couldn''t even fight back except for enduring the bullying.


    But one day her bullying stopped thanks to a certain someone. As she was being bullied like always, a certain someone from one class above her saw that she was being bullied while he was passing by that class. That certain someone was Ingrit.


    "Stop it."


    Ingrit lashed out at those bullies.


    The whole class including those bullies looked at Ingrit with surprise. Ingrit, on the other hand, ignored others in the class, and only looked at those bullies with a cold gaze.


    "Huh? You got something to say?"


    One of the bullies with spiky black hair said, looking irritated.


    "I said to stop bullying her."


    Ingrit said, coldly.


    "Are you trying to pick a fight or something?"


    That bully took a few steps towards Ingrit, looking like he was ready to fight.


    But there was no way for Ingrit to defeat him and his other five buddies. First of all, he was outnumbered. Secondly, he was not some kind of badass teenager who could beat the living shit of out of 6 strong looking dudes.


    Clearly, he would be badly beaten and add a embarrassing moment to his life if he were to engage in fight against all of them.


    So, he gave them a piercing gazes with heavy expression to cover the fact that he was weak.


    Seeing his piercing gaze, the spiky hair guy took a few steps back, feeling the pressure from his gaze. His other five companions flinched a little.


    "That''s not worth it."


    Saying that he and his companions went back to their own seats, looking terrified.


    "That guy is with him!"

    Of course, they were scared of Givan. Because, he had a infamous reputation of beating down delinquents. So, people simply called him the ''Gang-slayer''.

    Anyway, seeing that those guys left her alone, Ingrit turned around, Givan did too. Then started to head to their classes.


    Seeing Ingrit leave, Adni hurriedly stood up, and ran after him.


    "Wait."


    She shouted at them, after going outside of the classroom.


    They both stopped walking, and turned their heads to her.


    With an expression of gratitude, she said:


    "Thank you for standing up for me."


    They both were very taken by how innocent she looked when she expressed gratefulness.


    Ingrit, after composing his expression, he neutrally said:


    "If you wanna thank someone then thank him."


    Pointing to Givan. Then he continued:


    "If it wasn''t for him then nothing would have worked out."


    "Ah, come on. I did nothing."


    Givan said rubbing his neck with his right hand.


    "Anyway, we need to head to our class. If they bully you ever again then just tell us."


    Ingrit said, looking a bit approachable.


    She just nodded her head.


    Then Ingrit and Givan left the place while Adni gratefully looked at them leaving, especially Ingrit. Her tender gaze was focused more on Ingrit.


    Ever since then she had a crush on Ingrit. With each passing year her feelings for him was growing intensely. But even in last 4 years she couldn''t confess her love to him.


    Because, she was too afraid to confess.


    But today, seeing Ingrit and Saiya coming down from the roof together sparked a urgency in her heart.


    As she was walking through the hallway, she was very determined to confess her feelings to Ingrit. Her eyes was burning with determination, and her heart was gathering courage with each passing seconds.


    After a while, she saw Ingrit standing with Givan outside his classroom. Seeing Givan with him slowed her a bit, and she became a bit hesitant.


    He is not alone. But, more importantly how should I approach him?


    She thought.


    But she knew she would come to regret it if she didn''t do what she came here to do. So, she went near Ingrit and Givan. After that, to attract Ingrit''s attention, she called out his name.


    "Ingrit."


    Suddenly hearing a voice from behind him, made Ingrit flinched a little. Then he turned his head, and saw that it was Adni.


    "I-it''s you!"


    She closed her eyes, then took a deep breath. After that, she opened her eyes again, and asked Ingrit with a serious expression:


    "Would you please come with me. I need to tell you something."


    Ingrit looked lost. So, he frowned and looked at Givan, then again look at her.


    Givan patted on Ingrit''s right shoulder and said:


    "Go, man."


    After that Ingrit went with Adni to the back of their school. Ingrit was looking s bit nervous.


    As Adni was standing before Ingrit, she was growing nervous too.


    She opened her mouth, but closed them again. Because, for some reason those 3 simple words won''t just come out of her mouth. But still, she was determined to say it no matter what. So, she squeezed her hands, and said:


    "Ingrit...I LOVE YOU. I have been harboring romantic feeling towards you for over four years now. So, would you please go out with me."


    Her face became completely red.


    Hearing that Ingrit was surprised, and didn''t know her too response. He just looked at her with his widened eyes.


    But he couldn''t just keep on looking, he had to give an answer. So, he lowered his head a little, and rubbed his neck with his right hand.


    "Adni."


    She looked at him while blushing. Her heart was racing very fast.


    Meanwhile Ingrit continued:


    "I-I am really not sure how to answer this."


    His face got a bit darker. Then he sighed:


    "I am flattered to know that that''s how you feel about me. But, I am interested in you..Sorry."


    It was as if the sky came crashing down on her hearing those words of Ingrit. At first, she couldn''t believe what she heard. Then in the next second her face was consumed by despair and sadness. After a white, she cling her teeth, and said:


    "Why?..Is it because of that new girl in your class? Is she the one you love?"


    She shouted.


    "No, no. I harbor no romantic feelings for her either."


    Ingrit said, looking tense.


    "Then why?"


    Tears began to drip down her eyes.


    "I thought you were the one."


    She shouted, and then ran as she wiped her tears.


    Ingrit just stood there, and then after a while sighed.


    What''s up with me today? Two girl has already asked me out today. Maybe today is my lucky day...But, I feel bad for turning down Adni. She looked hurt.

 Chapter 12: Danger strikes

    "So, what did she tell you?"


    Givan asked Ingrit while sitting on the chair before Ingrit''s desk.


    Ingrit widened his eyes a little for being asked that. Then after hesitating for a bit, he nonchalantly said:


    "Nothing."


    But, Givan wasn''t convinced by that. He knew something was up. So, he raised his right eyebrow, and asked:


    "Did she confess her love to you?"


    As soon as he heard that he flinched, and flustered a little. Then he hurriedly lowered his head, and scratched the back of his neck.


    "Wait! Really?! So she did really confess her feelings to you?"


    He shouted. Thanks to that the whole class heard that, and became shocked.


    But, more than anyone Saiya was extremely surprised. Because, not too long ago she asked him out, but got rejected. And Shortly after that another girl asked out Ingrit! Though, there was no way for her to know if Adni got rejected by him or not.


    Anyway, Ingrit''s jaw dropped, and looked up at Givan with betrayed eyes.


    "Come on, don''t shout. Look the whole class heard that, damnit."


    Givan smiled a little, and said:


    "Sorry. I didn''t mean to shout."


    Ingrit sighed not paying much attention to his apology. Because, the damage had already been done. Now the whole class knew about Ingrit getting confessed by a girl.


    Moreover, the whole class was probably going to think that Ingrit and that girl was an item now. Such a big misunderstanding would, without a doubt, be quiet vexing for him.

    After that, the entire class again shuddered. This time everybody felt that, and got a little panicked.

    Ingrit stood up and with perplexed eyes, he asked Givan:


    "What''s that?!"


    He pointed at the pure white organism that was covering the window beside Ingrit. Givan looked at it, and was also perplexed by this uncanny sight.


    Suddenly Ingrit remembered what Feist had told him: "You are safe for now. But remember this: I know your face. So, there''s no escape from me. Stay safe until we cross our path again."


    Remembering that his face got overshadowed by tension, as he dismissed the status window.


    Is it him or did he sent possessed humans to kill me. At any rate, this is bad.


    Ingrit wasn''t good at leading people. Moreover, he didn''t have much presence in the class, and his fellow classmates thought of him as an unreliable fellow. Furthermore, if the possessed humen truly attack on their school, then he would have no choice but to use his power. But, he thought using it Infront of others might cause him problem.


    So, he looked at Givan, and told him:


    "Givan, hurry and go help the others student evacuate."


    "Okay. But aren''t coming."


    Givan looked at Ingrit seriously.

    Givan frowned, and said:


    "Bathroom! At a time like this?!"

    Meanwhile, Ingrit pretend to ran towards the bathroom. After running for a while, when he saw that no students or teachers were in the hallway, he decided to use his power.


    First, he summoned his black dragon-like mask, and wore it on his face. As soon as he wore it, he got dressed in a black leather coat, black leather full-pant, black leather hand gloves and black leather boots.


    He was looking very cool in those outfits.


    These were the outfits he had create after his first training. Since he got a lot of coins as a reward after the first training, he thought he should create the rest of his desired outfits. So, he created those, which cost him 20,000 coins in total. Now, he had only 10,000 coins left.


    Anyway, after getting dressed in those outfits, he began to walk back the way he came from. The school was quivering even more. He hurried, and began to run.


    After a while, as he was running, he heard screaming of many students coming from the room no. 10. So, he stopped, and opened the door, then saw students of that class shaking in fear while being under the desks.


    But, seeing a suspicious masked-man, those students screamed even more. They had every reason to be scared of masked Ingrit. After all, to them his dragon-like black masked looked terrifying. Moreover, he was looking more like a bad guys. So, obviously they got scared seeing him.


    Ingrit understood why they were scared of him. So, he said with a friendly tone:


    "Don''t be scared, guys. I am not a bad guy. I have come here to save you..So, please come with me. I will lead to to safety."


    At first, they looked hesitant to follow him. But seeing that the shivering was increasing even more, they had no choice but to follow him. Otherwise the whole roof might fall on them, leading all of them to death. So, they decided to trust their lives in that masked-man hands, and followed him.


    After that, they all began to head to the exit following Ingrit''s lead. But as they were going, Ingrit noticed something was off. The walls, columns, floor, windows all had been covered with white thick layer.


    Ingrit stepped on that white thick layer, and could felt it was soft.


    What is this?


    He thought.


    Meanwhile, Givan and his group. They managed to reach the location of the exit door. But unfortunately, the door and everything around it was also covered with that white matter.


    What is this?


    Givan thought.


    What ever it is I need to get rid of this to get out of here.


    Thinking that he took a few steps forward, and tried to pull out the white layer from the place where the exit door was.

    They all covered their ears with both of their hands, and fell on their knees.


    Seeing them in such state, the rest of the students began to panic, and was taking few steps backwards.


    Ingrit, not realizing what was happening to them, said:


    "What''s wrong?"


    After few seconds of screaming, they all oddly became silent. It was as if they suddenly died in the middle of screaming.


    Ingrit looked at them by leaning down his head, and saw a unfortunate sight. Though, he wasn''t sure if they were truly dead or not. But, none of those knelt students had any eyes! It was as if the eyes completely vanished from there! It was completely empty.


    "What is this!"


    Ingrit got a little scared.


    Then slowly those students rose on their feets like life had returned to them. And, all of them began to walk forward like zombies. After walking few steps forward, they stopped moving.


    Ingrit gulped. He was getting the feeling that something bad was about to happen. He clinged his fists.


    Other students were standing behind Ingrit, looking horrified.


    The whole room was silent like a ghost town. After a few seconds, those 14 students'' heads, in a flash, got turned around, and neck cracking sounds could be heard.


    With their bodies facing forward, and face facing backwards, they all were looking at Ingrit and the other students with emptied eyes.


    Seeing this horrifying sight, Ingrit got a chill down to his spine while the students behind him screamed and began to ran backwards.


    Then in a matter of seconds, all of those 14 students with their heads turned backwards, put on a hollowed and creepy smiles. Also, from the emptiness of their eyes, blood was dripping.


    A weird sound came out of their mouth as they creepily smiled.


    "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

 Chapter 13: Haunted School

    Not only the inside of the Ingrit''s school but also the outside of the school had completely been covered with pure white organisms. Unlike the inside, the outside was covered with thick organisms.


    From outside the entire School was looking like a giant cocoon. At the very top of cocoon with lower body inside the cocoon, was someone. That someone looked much like Adni.


    Infact, it was her. But, due to her transformative power her appearance had changed. Now, her entire body had turned white. Her forehead was pitch black, but that blackness didn''t stop there. 2 straight lines had dripped down from her forehead which crossed her red eyes, and ended near both side of her cheeks. Her hair had also changed its color. Now, her hair was white.


    Anyway, She seemed to be mumbling something to herself as he was lowering her head.


    "I will kill everyone. But, don''t worry Ingrit, I won''t kill you. You are all mine. After I finish killing everyone her, and then I will go after your family and killed them too. After that, you are bound to break down, and then finally I can have you all to myself."


    It was quite clear that she wasn''t right in her head. After all, nobody in their right mind would commit themselves to killing someone over a rejection.


    She definitely had an extreme obsession towards Ingrit. And to have him all to herself, she would go to any length.


    As she was busy mumbling to herself and using her power to cause havoc, Ingrit, on the other hand, was faced with a troublesome situation.


    Those 14 students, who were creepily smiling and making weird sounds while smile, were now transforming into something hideous.


    First, Blood dripping from their eyes holes stopped. Then, suddenly their body color began to change. It was turning gray color. After that, their teeth were getting a little bigger as they were turning pointy. All of them now looked like some kind of mindless zombie.


    "Haaaaaaaaaa..."


    They were unsteadily approaching Ingrit as they were making those weird sound.


    Ingrit flinched back a little.


    "What is happening to them?"


    One of the zombie looking students leaned and jumped at transformed Ingrit.


    Ingrit thought that if he defeat the main source of all of this, then those students can be turned back to normal. So, if he uses his power on them they would without a doubt die. This was why he clinged his right fist as he took a step backwards instead of using his power.


    Ingrit, then, threw a punch at the students face. Upon contact something unexpected happened.

    "Cough, cough."


    Ingrit was coughing in the midst of the flame and fume of the explosion.


    They exploded! This is bad.

    Ingrit quickly checked his clothes to see if they were on fire or not. Making sure everything was okay, he sighed.


    "Phew.. So, the descriptions about these outfits were right, after all. They are really heat and cold resistant."


    Then Ingrit looked at the students Infront of him. With a worrisome tone he thought:


    All of them are basically a walking bomb. What should I do? It''s not safe to let them run free inthe hallway. And even if I use my Red Spider Threads they might just explode.


    Then abruptly his tone became a little heavy.


    "Should I kill them?"


    "Ah."


    Suddenly, Ingrit grabbed his neck as though he was stung with something.

    He began to inwardly scream in agony.

    After a second, all of the students mumbled something, then jumped at him.


    Givan gritted his teeth, then hurriedly squinted his eye to his left, then leaned to his left side.


    That caused all of them to bumped into the thick white layers planted by Adni. But they didn''t waste any time and began to rush towards him.


    Givan looked mortified, and thought:


    Wait...Am I really afraid?!


    Givan''s heart was racing quite faster than usual as the sense of fear was lingering within heart.


    I need to run. But why won''t my legs move?!


    Givan''s feets were paralyzed out of fear.


    As he stared at them rushing towards him like a hungry hoards of monster, abruptly, for some reason, everything around him were moving in slow motion, even those zombie looking students.


    At the same time, an agonizing pain began to rush through his veins. In instant, he fell on his knees, and began to painfully scream.


    "Aaaaaaaaaaaah.."


    He grabbed his left eye as he was excruciatingly screaming, lowering his head.


    After a few seconds, something unexpected happen. When he raised his head and as he was placing his hand on his left eye, blood began to drip down from there. Then when he moved his hand from his eye, his eye wasn''t there anymore. It was pitched black.


    Something similar was happening to him just like what happened to his classmates.


    Damn it. So, this is how I am going to die!


    All of the students were Infront of him, Ready to jump on Givan. His legs won''t move, and he was turning into some kind of monster, too. So, It was a definite end for him.


    Or so it seemed. Miraculously, a white color thick rope bound him around his chest, then in the next second, he was pulled back with great speed.


    After that, something like white glowing features pierced into those students, which caused all of them to explode.


    Since all of them exploded all at once, it caused a big explosion, . It covered the most of the hallway.


    Givan and the one who saved him were also caught in the explosion.


    After a while, everything cooled down. And, slowly the steam of explosion faded away.


    Around Givan and that person was a round shaped invisible wall. Thanks to that wall, Givan and that person were safe from the explosion.


    "Are you all right?"


    A familiar voice of a girl was audible to Givan.


    He looked up with an excruciating face, and when he saw the mysterious person who saved him, he was greatly surprised. Because, the mysteries person was none other than Saiya.


    Behind her were few white glowing features, levitating in the air.
