《Brought to a world where humans are kept as domesticated pets in dungeons to threatening monsters.》
Well... WELL.... WELL!
The sun dipped down onto the horizon, turning grass''s green into glowing reds and yellows. The village has started locking its doors, and only one person is left outside: 15-year-old Toumi Ropou.
"Just another few red berries will last us... ouch!"
He drew his hand back after having accidentally stuck it into a thorn. After staying quiet for a few seconds and observing his wound, he worked up the courage to draw back the branches in the plant, expecting a larger grove of berries.
Instead he saw a small clearing with something in it''s middle.
"What is this place?" Toumi had never seen this before. It seemed to be an old well, but as he walked closer, something seemed off.
And before he could say or do anything else, he felt a magical force pulling at him, dragging him towards the well. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.
As he''s pulled into the pit, his head hits the stone body of the well, and he passes out.
What seemed to be only moments later, he was woken up by a strange sound, and as he pulled himself up, he saw neither the well''s interior, nor his own village. Instead, he had woken up in a small, damp cave.
A tiny voice sounded from below him.
"Good morning sir! You should probably hide before they find you!"
Toumi looked down to see a tiny creature. It looked like a dog, like some malformed chihuahua, but with multiple tiny sets of faery wings on it''s back.
"What''reyou?" asked Toumi, confused. He''d heard legend of faery like this before, but those were kids tales, specifically made up for scared little children.
But right in front of him was irrefutable proof of their existence.
The tiny creature started to say something, until something caught it''s attention, and it shut up.
"That is not important. Whatis important, young Toumi, is that you hide behind a rock before you get caught by the slimes patrolling this area of the dungeon."
First encounters
Toumi dove behind a moss-covered rock, as a faint noise came into the room, each "footstep" slapping against the uneven cobbled pathways of the dungeon like thunder on the hills during a storm. A brigade of maybe 50 slimes marched through the cave, which probably connected to somewhere else important.
After waiting for a time, the noises receded into nothingness, and Toumi stepped back out to address the creature.
"You," he said coldly. "You brought me here, didn''t you?"
The creature turned around to face him, nodding solemnly.
"Why? What reason could you possibly have to take somebody from their own home to some strange dimension?" Toumi was fuming. He had a family to get back to.
The creature seemed horrified for a second, before speaking up.
"Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am a faery spirit known as ''$\5<{:*''... but for now, you may call me Lynn." The creature seemed oddly cordial for a mythological being of doom.
"You were called here to save the human race from being kept as pets to the monsters of this realm. They''re kept as slaves to entertain and assist them, and need to be freed. So of course I summoned a hero!"
Toumi scoffed. He wasn''t a hero. He was just a clumsy kid. If a magical creature thinks he''s fit to save anyone, they must not be that magical.
"Toumi, look at me," Toumi looks up. "I''ve given you a rank in the Majisum. That means you now can level up if you defeat enough enemies. Use this power to save humans from their captors." This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.
Toumi checked his stat chart. He was currently a level 0. Embarrasing, but he could change that later. He scrolled through the UI until he found an "inventory", containing a weakling level sword.
Lynn smiled. "Defeat lower level monsters. Rise through ranks, and destroy humanity''s enemy. I must go, but I will come back when I can."
Lynn vanished into thin air, and Toumi collected his sword from his inventory. He promptly renamed it ''Slime Slayer'' and got to work... crushing ants for 1 XP per ant.
"This is so slow..." He sighed, having spent 24 hours to get to level 12 on nothing but ants and frogs in the cave. Eventually, he found himself drifting off to sleep.
"Help!" A girl scremed from somewhere in the distance, waking Toumi from his slumber. He immediately reached for his sword, and ran out toward the scream, hoping no monster got in his way. Thankfully, none did.
Toumi had reached another cave entrance when a girl on a metal leash stepped out. She had long brown hair and big purple eyes. Looking doen, Toumi noticed her eyes weren''t the only bog thing about her. A second after her, came out a monster. It was maybe seven feet tall, and had a reptilian appearance to it. The girl mouthed for help, and Toumi aimed his sword at the monster.
"You think you can end me with that weak little blade?" The monster laughed as he spit acid at it, melting it to almost nothing. Toumi panicked and let it fall to the ground. The monster looked up to find that after dropping the sword, Toumi had apparenty fled. It was just about to go back into his cave, when he felt something.
Toumi had ran behind him, and was now reaching through his natrually armoured skin, to clutch his heart.
"You ugly little human! How did you even do that? My skin is too thick for that!" Truth be told, Toumi didn''t really know. But he started to squeeze the heart, causing it''s owner to drop to his knees, writhing in pain. Then, without warning, Toumi yanked the heart out, and the monster evaporated into tiny golden bubbles: XP points. They cascaded to Toumi. He reached level 13 and was able to obtain a "basic sword".
