《Arun Online [Dropped]》 Chapter 0 - Prologue Arun Online, a new VRMMORPG that was just recently released by the famed Black Marble. It was the only one of its kind that featured the immersive full experience of Virtual Reality. An Omnisphere, also created by the same company, was needed to be able to play it. The Omnisphere was a black round helmet with a small plastic-like glass material that covered their eyes that someone wears and it will intercept the nerves of the wearer to be translated by the machine to play the game in virtual reality. This game also featured a reduction of pain perception to only 10% of the actual pain. There were five main classes that someone chooses from the start which have the ability to evolve. There are also some hidden classes that can only be evolved into if the appropriate actions are done. After a player evolved their character, all of the stats are saved and are transferred over to the evolved character, the level is also reset to 1. There were seven races, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen, Dragons, Demons and Orcs. The game had an ongoing faction war between the races of light (Humans, Elves and Dwarves) against the races of shadow (Dragons, Demons and Orcs), the Beastmen were a neutral race that had the option to choose any of the sides. After reading this news article that was thrust into him by his best friend, Alex Granger, Luke Matthews put down the magazine on his desk and looked at him. His friend was a nerdy looking seventeen year old who had white skin, brown hair and blue eyes. He knew that his friend had an avid passion for video games and this new game was just the type that would excite him. He was completely different from before Luke met him. He dressed smartly wearing a blue long sleeved shirt with a tie as well as black dress pants with stylish glasses on over his eyes. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. Luke looked very different from his best friend. Luke had an athletic body with white skin, black hair and green eyes. Like Alex, he also was seventeen. He was dressed very casually. He wore a white t-shirt that revealed his athletic body as well as red sweatpants. These two were from completely different social statuses but these two were the best of friends and inseparable. Luke sighed and said, ¡°I¡¯ll only play this because you want to so bad. Luckily we both have the Omnisphere already because of your past experiments on trying to figure out how it works.¡± ¡°What can I say? I like to know what makes things work,¡± said Alex shrugging his shoulders. The bell rang signaling the start of school and Alex said while running to his seat, ¡°We¡¯ll talk more later!¡± Luke could only shake his head and looked back at the magazine on his desk. ¡°Arun Online,¡± he thought, ¡°might as well have fun during the break I guess.¡± --------------------

Chapter 1 - Character Creation Hello everyone I hope you enjoy this next chapter. --------------- I got home and immediately went to my room. School ended for the summer break and Alex and I decided to meet in-game right before it launched which would be in two days. Alex thrust the copy of the game after school to me with excited eyes while saying, ¡°You have to play!¡± I couldn¡¯t say no to my best friend so I had to accept it and since I would be bored anyway I might as well play it. My home is very quiet, my brother Aaron, is doing taekwondo practice over at the nearby dojo. He won¡¯t be home till seven in the evening and right now it was three. My parents are workaholics so they won¡¯t be at home at all. I have the home to myself which was a standard four bedroom home with two floors. It was nicely decorated by my mother¡¯s interior designer and looked exactly like a home that was perfect for sale. My room was way too clean for a seventeen year old but it was regularly cleaned by another caretaker that my parents hired. Our parents provide for us but there is none of that warmth that a family is supposed to have. At least that was what I felt whenever I visited Alex. So I booted up my computer and changed out of my uniform. I wanted to look up more information about Arun online before I started playing it. As my computer booted up I got my Omnisphere ready and inserted the gaming chip on the side. I plugged it in to the socket next to my bed and set it down on my nightstand. My bed was a king sized bed with blue covers. The nightstand had a small tree like lamp that I would turn on when I wanted to read one of the books from my bookshelf which was right in front of my bed. I had a walk-in closet next to my bookshelf where I got my clothes and my computer station was also to the right of the closet. The door to my room was located to the right of my bed and the bed would be covered by the door when opened. The wall that you would see is filled with trophies that I won in taekwondo as well as the belts and the boards that I had broken. Having finished changing and the computer being booted up, I searched for more information on Arun online. I looked up information that whole night that I never noticed my brother come home and also didn¡¯t eat dinner. I went to sleep and thought about all the information that I learned. The seven races have sub-races that can be chosen. In addition to Elves, there are Dark Elves and High Elves. Elves were generally a magic based class but with the sub-races, you can either make a more combat based or an extreme magic based character. Humans were well balanced in stats but they didn¡¯t have any sub-races. Instead, one can modify the starting stats to make a character that is more combat or more magic. Dwarves were generally a combat related race but there are sub-races that make them more combat or more magic based. The Orcs and the Beastmen were the same in this regard to the Dwarves. The Demons and Dragons were like the humans that one can modify the stats but these have weaknesses in magic. Demons are weak against Nature, Divine and Light while Dragons had no weakness against the elements. Concerning the element system, there are a total of nine different elements. The elements were Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Fire, Nature, Divine, Light and Shadow. Each element also had a weakness. Water was weak against Lightning which was weak against Earth which was weak against Wind which was weak against Fire which was weak against water. Nature was weak against Divine while Divine was weak against Nature. Light and Shadow were the same as Nature and Divine. There were also eight different weapons that could be wielded. They were the Sword, Lance, Axe, Gun, Bow, Staff, Rod and Shield. The Sword was weak against the Lance which was weak against the Axe which was weak against the Sword. The Gun, Bow, Staff, Rod, and Shield had no weaknesses other than the skill of the player. The five main classes were Swordsman, Cleric, Magician, Ranger, and Warrior. The Swordsman class was a class that relied on the strength of his weapons. The Cleric was the healer class and the Magician was the magic damage dealing class. The Ranger was the Ranged class and the Warrior was a brute class. I wasn¡¯t able to see a rogue or thief like class but there was some speculation that it was a hidden class that you had to use a dagger as your primary weapon for some time. I was a bit confused about that fact but the class might have been very powerful for it to be a hidden class or it might just be a quirk of the game that you have to join some kind of organization to do so. The game had organizations that worked as secondary professions. Some of them were hidden while most were easily joined so long as you met the requirements. The professions were Miner, Skinner, Botanist, Zoologist, Fisher, Cook, Tailor, Leatherworker, Jeweler, Armor Smith, Fletcher, Woodcarver, Weapon Smith, Engineer, Hunter, Merchant, Soldier and Owner. Each player would start in the same continent just in different areas. The continent known as Arun was a 20,000 square kilometer continent that was separated in the middle by the Great Forest. This forest was the starting area for the Beastmen, Elves, and Orcs. The western side was the land of the Shadow races while the eastern side was the land of the Light races. Humans started in the Plains of Solitude to the very far east but just a little bit north of the continent almost to the sea. The Dwarves started in Mount Stonepeak which was located just right next to the sea. The Demons started in the Forgotten Lands of the west. Similar in location to the humans starting area but just to the western side of the continent. The Dragons also started the same way only they started in the Mountain Range of Dark Spires. These starting areas are very far away from where the warzone that is in the center but the game allows those that want to focus on pvp to be teleported to the warzone once they finish their tutorials. Those that choose to not be placed on the warzone until they wish to can simply explore their area of the continent looking for dungeons or just having a relaxing time. Those that have the starting areas near the warzone also have this opportunity. The Warzone itself is a nearly half of the whole continent in size. The Great Forest surrounds this warzone that has all kinds of terrain from a large lake where naval battles can be done, a large desert, a jungle terrain, a mountainous terrain and all kinds of terrain fit for combat. Every 8 hours in-game will allow one of the zones to be open for control. The more zones a faction controls, the more benefits they receive in terms of experience, materials as well as the contested Shards of Arun. These Shards can only be found within the warzone and it is what each faction is coveting. Along with the game came more time for players. Players can play the game while sleeping and they will play the game that way. 1 hour in the real world equals 8 hours in the game world. This feature was introduced after advancements in the science of dreams and how our brains can make a day long dream last only a brief second. Utilizing this power, the game can easily be played by anyone within their dreams while having the person wake up peacefully and well rested as well as keeping all memory of playing the game. I decided to play as a very specific kind of subset after researching. The starting race has to be specifically chosen or else it will merely choose the general race. The subsets of each race are varied and are not revealed to the player in character creation. The sub race that I chose was a Demonic Vampire Dragon. I chose this race because I wanted to be unique player and the fact that these very specific sub-races have a very high level of difficulty in finding as the sub-race was a hidden feature. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. For a starting class I chose Ranger and for secondary professions I chose Hunter, Zoologist, Engineer, and Owner. Each player can only choose four secondary professions and I chose these because the Hunter profession allows me to catch creatures and turn them into mounts or pets. The Zoologist because it allows me to identify weaknesses of animal based creatures and allow me to know more information about them. The Engineer profession allows me to be able to make bullets and guns from materials. Owner is chosen because I want to be able to own land and earn from the land that I own, this includes materials other than just gold. Along with these, I plan to pay for the starter pack which gives me a set of equipment that levels and evolves with me as well as a random item that can either help me a lot of be some junk item. Alex and I just got done talking about our plans once we get online. The game was going to go online and ready to play for everyone today on June 15, 20XX. Alex was going to be a Demonic Werewolf Orc. Same as my race, I had no idea what the race would look like as the only information that we could find was the name. We decided to meet each other in the Capital of the Shadow faction, Umbrak, once we finished the tutorial as that was where we were going to be sent to. I walked inside our house and my brother Aaron was watching some show in the TV. ¡°Hey, are you also going to play that game?¡± asked Aaron as he got up from the couch and went up to me. Alex was younger than I was by one year, he was similar to me in appearance except he had crystal blue eyes and since he continued Taekwondo that his body was much more leaner than mine. ¡°Yeah Alex got me interested in playing it,¡± I said knowing that he was talking about Arun online. ¡°Great! Cause I¡¯m playing it too,¡± said Aaron as joy filled his face. ¡°What faction are you taking?¡± ¡°Shadow,¡± I said smilingly. ¡°Ok I chose to play as Light before but if you¡¯re going to choose Shadow then I¡¯ll change my race,¡± said Alex one hand over his mouth as he nodded. ¡°No you do-¡± ¡°I want to, we never hang out like we used to. This way we can hang out for a long time,¡± he said determinedly. ¡°Well alright, you can join my party with Alex. We¡¯ll be meeting at the Shadow capital.¡± ¡°Alright, It¡¯s always fun with Alex but before I find my new race but class did the two of you choose?¡± ¡°Alex chose a cleric while I chose a ranger.¡± ¡°Then I¡¯ll stay with my warrior, that way I can tank for you two,¡± he said as he ran to his room. I just shrugged and went to my room to sleep and set the alarm to wake me up in two hours. The alarm sounded and I got up and put on my Omnigear. I turned it on and I started up the game by commanding it, ¡°Omnigear, link Arun Online.¡± My vision darkened and I saw the opening scenes of the game. It showed me the five starting classes, all of them humans, as they journeyed and fought this one giant wolf. The warrior took all the damage while the swordsman attacked as much as it could while the attention wasn¡¯t on him. The ranger attacked from afar with his bow and arrows and when he ran out of arrows he changed to use his guns. The cleric kept on healing her allies with light. The magician had all sorts of elements all around him and he kept on mixing them together to make different spells. Right when he mixed all the elements together the scene brightened so much that it blocked my vision. When the light disappeared I was now looking at an Elf that had wonderful and strong looking armor with a lance behind him as well as a sword on his right hip. This was one of the evolution paths of the swordsman into the lancer. The Elf was travelling in the forest as it was looking for something. After running a while he found a group of Orcs that had axes of different sizes. There were three Orcs that had leather armor on and were walking relaxed. The Elf made his stance smaller and then ran while thrusting his lance towards the leftmost Orc. When the Elf hit the Orc, the Orc was shocked and the Elf dragged the lance to hit the rest of them killing them instantly. Then Shadows gripped the Elf as a Demon with black skin, red eyes, and two horns wearing black robes with red marks. The Elf was trapped by Shadow and right beside the Demon out came a Beastman that had was an Anthropomorphic tiger. He wore a silver robe and had a black sword in his hand. This Tigerman was a mystic knight, one of the end game classes. The Tigerman slashed his sword at the elf and then the screen zoomed out into the sky then back into the ground of a different setting. A Dwarf was climbing a mountain with a strong looking crossbow at his back. He wore leather armor and gloves to make it easier on him to climb. He was dirty and exhausted when he reached the summit and there a Dragon was standing. The Dragon was flying in the air with his wings and he was as tall as a human. The Dragon raised its claws and from it came a giant ray of light that blinded my vision. Then came the name of the game and the opening scene was over. I logged in using my mind and the account that I had already made and a screen showed saying that I was the first person to log in and so I would get a prize for it. I was excited at that but since I wouldn¡¯t know what it was until I finished creating my character I decided to set it aside for now. ¡°What race do you want to be?¡± asked a mechanical female voice. Then the seven races appeared in front of me to choose from and I said with a smile, ¡°Demonic Vampire Dragon.¡± ¡°Detected sub-race has been chosen. There can only be one of this race are you sure you want to choose this?¡± ¡°Yes!¡± I almost shouted at the thought that I would be the only one of this race. ¡°Confirmed. Since this is a sub-race information of this race will now be told to the player.¡± ¡°The Demonic Vampire Dragon is just like the Dragon race, has the same size of a human. This race is against the Light element. It has reduced stats under sunlight but in darkness it¡¯s stats are increased. This race also has its own skills that only it can use. These skills are the abilities of the Blood Knight as well as the Dread Lord. The consequence is that these skills are weaker than an actual Blood Knight¡¯s or Dread Lord¡¯s¡± The Blood Knight and Dread Lord were end game classes of the Warrior and Cleric tree. I was shocked as this was what the game gave me just from choosing this sub-race. ¡°Gender?¡± continued the voice. ¡°Male.¡± ¡°Gender Confirmed. Name?¡± ¡°Seraphiim.¡± ¡°Name confirmed. You will now be sent to the starting area of the Mountain Range of Dark Spires. We hope you enjoy your experience in playing Arun Online.¡± ¡°Finally,¡± I said as the surroundings brightened to nearly enough to blind me and I was excited to begin playing the game the whole night which would equate to 8 days of game time. --------------

Chapter 2 - Tutorial Hello everyone, I hope you all enjoy this chapter! Also from now on, I''m changing the Dragon race into Draconian. I will do the same for Aliad as well. ---------------- The brightness disappeared and was replaced by giant black mountains that stretched up to meet the clouds. I seemed to be in the center of the mountain range as all around me I could only mountains and right next to me was a large lake. I looked at the lake and stared at my reflection. My height was similar to a human¡¯s but my whole body was filled with black and red scales and my head was a dragon¡¯s with scarlet red eyes. Behind my back was a set of black leathery wings and a long spiky tail. My hands were sharp claws still with opposable thumbs and my feet also had claws. I was impressed at the immersion in the game as I felt my body and could feel the touch as it felt like the most natural thing in the world. I touched the water and ripples formed in the surface, distorting my reflection. I¡¯m liking this game, I thought, oh yeah. ¡°Inventory,¡± I said. The game interfaces could be opened by voice commands. In my inventory was a the starter set that I bought as well as some 300 gold coins and 2 diamonds. I was rich but I had to make sure that I spent it well enough so that I still have some in the later levels. I wore my armor and felt myself get stronger. The armor contoured to the race, gender, and class of the player when it was worn so that it would be just as unique as the player. The armor felt like another layer of defense as it added small spikes at my head, shoulders, elbows, back, and knees. It didn¡¯t cover my whole face but just went around it. The gloves and boots also didn¡¯t cover the claws but rather made them more secure and deadlier. This armor surprisingly had no name until I selected one for it and so I just left it unnamed until I could make up a cool sounding one since I was unprepared for this information. The weapon in the starter set was decided when the player chooses their class, but since I choose the Ranger class I had to decide what the weapon would look like so long as it was a ranged weapon. Thinking about the fact that I had the skills of a Blood Knight and knowing that I wanted to go through the Gunner route, I opted for a sword with a button that could be pressed to turn it into to gun mode that also had a button for blade mode. Surprisingly, the system allowed it and gave me a notification:
Congratulations! You have successfully created the first hybrid weapon! Luck +5
Hybrid weapons! And I had the first one! Awesome! I experimented with the speed of the transformation and it was quick almost a second. In blade form, it looked solid enough that it wouldn¡¯t break. I named the hybrid weapon, Shadow Blade in blade form and Shadow Gun in gun form. Right now at my current level, my armor and weapons have no extra stats that they give me as they will level with me. I took a look at my stats and I was satisfied at it for now.

I had no skills for the Ranger class but my Blood Knight and Dread Lord class already had skills. The skills were awesome and made for the endgame classes. I can¡¯t use the Blade of Dread right now so I can¡¯t level it but that would most likely be my trump card for long time. Since two of my skills say weapon, most likely the skill would still be effective even with my gun mode. If only I knew how to level up a passive skill but I will just leave it for later for now. I then went back to my inventory and took a look at the random item that I got. It was an elite mount! ¡°Boon of the Dragon God¡±, this item was restricted to only the Draconian race and by using it, it allowed our race to be able to fly unrestricted either in combat or in travel. In travel our speed becomes much faster while in combat, we could fly the whole time. I used it and I felt my wings get stronger and I tried testing it. It felt weird trying to move my wings as it felt like moving new unused muscles. Soon enough, I got the hang of it but was only able to fly a few inches off the ground before I lost control and fell. There was no stamina usage when I was flying but it would take me some time to get used to it. Other players should¡¯ve logged in by now but I haven¡¯t seen any. Considering that our starting area is a mountain range, the fact that they might have started at a different spot but in the same area came to mind. I half flew, half walked away from the lake and finally saw another draconian race. This one had red scales, gold eyes, and a moustache that twirled. He stood there with a brown robe with a regal atmosphere. I went up to the draconian and he said, ¡°Fellow draconian, I am here under orders of our great emperor Ranx to tell you to head due north to reach our camp.¡± He pointed towards a forest area near the base of one of the mountains and stopped talking.
You have started the tutorial! Finishing the tutorial will allow you to join the faction war.
After closing the window, I continued my journey towards the forest. I didn¡¯t meet any monsters along the way and I reached a very organized camp. Rows and rows of tents were surrounded by earthen walls. The tents were dirt-like in color and in the middle of the camp stood a large purple tent that could fit fifty of the smaller tents. I walked inside not being minded by the guards posted outside and was directed to head to the large tent. As I approached, other players went outside of the tent. I was able to tell this because they had a level and a name above their heads. Ignoring them I went inside the tent and was greeted by a golden draconian with a bright white gold armor sitting on a black throne. If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. ¡°I am Ranx, your Emperor,¡± said the draconian. I kneeled on the spot and he said, ¡°You have good manners. Stand.¡± I stood up and he said, ¡°We are at war for the Shards of Arun. We must not let those of the Light take them. Go and meet with our quartermaster. He will make sure that you are capable.¡± I bowed and left the tent. I looked around and saw a tent that was surrounded by Draconians and thought that he might be there. As I got nearer, they all left leaving one that was sorting through all kinds of armor and weapons. He had brown scales and a gray armor over them. When I got close, I was able to tell that he had black eyes and he said, ¡°Another one?¡± I nodded and he said, ¡°Seems that you¡¯re better equipped than the rest. Here take this gun and this bullet. Kill as many animals as you can with it. We¡¯re going to need all the food for what¡¯s going to happen.¡± He handed me a pistol and a single black bullet. The ammunition in this game only required one to be equipped and the player will have unlimited ammo of that particular ammunition. They never add damage though so the ammo from the tutorial was enough for any ranged class. I placed the pistol to my inventory and equipped the bullet to my Shadow gun and strode off to the forest. There were many players killing pigs, wolves, deer, and bears that it made sense that I didn¡¯t find any earlier. They were all being slaughtered already. I went deeper into the forest and was finally greeted with my first mob. It was a level 5 wolf. It howled and ran towards me. I shot at it with my Shadow gun but I missed. It got closer and I shot again, hitting it in the eyes. It yelped and was pushed back a bit. I had only dealt 20% of damage. After it winced from the attack, it ran towards me again and I rapidly fired my gun. Shot upon shot hit the wolf and finally it died. I was granted 75% of experience from killing the wolf but there was no loot. I was happy at my first kill but then I saw more wolves creep towards me. I was now surrounded by 10 level 5 wolves. Seeing that I can¡¯t kill them all with my gun easily, I switched to Shadow blade and used Blood Shield as I ran to one of them. They all instantly ran towards me and bit and clawed me making me lose 100 of my health only because of shield. The first two wolves were killed quickly after they were hit by my shield and my sword. I used Drain Blade on another one and healed up 50 of my health, killing it. Seven more remained and we ran towards each other. I stopped and slashed horizontally, killing the five in front of me. One of them got me near to 40 of my health and I was about to be killed by the last one until I used Scream of Dread at it. Having paralyzed one of them, I killed the one that had bit me first and then the paralyzed one. Having survived my encounter, I plopped down on the ground and saw that a notification appeared.
You have leveled up! Please allocate your points.
I took a look at my stats and saw that I did. I had leveled up two whole levels by killing 11 level 5 wolves. I allocated my points by 3 in agility and 1 in strength and Intelligence. I then cut apart the wolves getting their meat so that I can bring them back. I continued killing more wolves or gathered what I thought was edible and by the end of the day I had completed the tutorial and leveled up to level 10. My items also leveled up to level 10 and now were able to grant me some stats.

Having finished the job given me to me by the quartermaster, I returned to meet Ranx in the tent and he said, ¡°You have done well. I would force you to join us but someone of your talents should not be restricted. If you wish to join us, enter this portal. If not, the Shadow Capital is far away to the west.¡± He pointed to a portal that appeared to his left but since I already had plans I decided to leave. I looked towards the western side of the camp and saw that there was a dirt road and I could see a large city in the distance. Since I was in the mountains, the city looked close but I knew that it would be a long travel. I lifted my body up with my wings and started to fly towards the capital of Shadow, Umbrak. To meet with Alex and Aaron. --------------

Chapter 3 - Umbrak Hello everyone! Hope you all enjoy this next chapter of Arun Online! Chapter 3 - Umbrak Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoy this next chapter of Arun Online! ----------- Flying in the air was a nice experience. Some players stared and pointed at me as I flew. The treetops passed by below me and the mountains stretched far away. Far in the distance was a large cathedral like castle. This was the Shadow Capital, Umbrak. It was separated into four different wards in the four cardinal directions each with their own gates. The Northern ward was known as the Merchant ward. This ward was where players could buy and sell anything from NPCs or from other players. The Western Ward was known as Great ward. This ward was where players could get their professions as well as a place to hang out. The Eastern Ward was known as the Military Ward. This ward was where players could take the Owner and Soldier professions as well as a place to create their guilds. The Southern Ward was known as the Royal Ward. This was where all the aristocrats of the Shadow faction would live in as well as any players that are rich enough to buy their own house here. I was entering through the Eastern Ward¡¯s gate as that was the closest one to my starting area. I made sure to land a hundred meters away so that I wouldn¡¯t gather too much attention. Players can only see the name and level of another floating above them. Things like race or class can only be inferred or told by the person himself. I private messaged Alex and Aaron and found that they would take 10 more hours just to get here. They were surprised to know that I was already at the Capital as it usually takes 5 to 10 hours for a player to travel from the starting area to the Capital. I told them that I would tell them once they saw me and ended our conversation. Seeing that I had 10 hours to spend, I decided to stroll around the capital and see if I can get my professions. There were NPCs walking and talking which made me feel like I was in real life. Guards patrolled here and there and I could also see some children running around. This was a society made up of Draconians, Demons, Orcs and some sparse Beastmen; all living in harmony. It had the feel of a capital city as some NPCs were also thieves and pickpockets. They ran around being chased by NPCs that owned shops or by guards. Each ward was separated by a ten meter wide river that went from the central castle towards the outside. When the river reached the outer walls, there were rails of steel that protected it from outside interference. The castle was an imposing fifty meter tall black walled fortress rather than a quaint castle. It had a gothic feel to it as flying buttresses connected the central part to four towers that surrounded it. These towers had large purple crystals that glowed at their tip. The castle had only one way inside of it and there was no bridge that connected the land that the castle was placed to the surroundings. The distance was not something that could be jumped across and so I wondered how one can enter. As I was busy wondering about this I had finally reached the Northern Ward. This ward was filled with shops and merchants selling their wares and advertising. Compared to the Eastern Ward, this ward had more pickpockets, thieves, some people that looked like slavers with their human slaves, as well as guards. Order was a bit difficult to keep in this chaotic ward but it was a semblance of one. I passed by unharmed and with all of my belongings as I tried to blend into the crowd. I gathered a few gazes now and then but I quickly moved away not wanting to attract attention. The Western Ward was filled with the sound of metal being hammered, stone being chiseled as well as some explosions. Here and there was also some areas of peace, restaurants, libraries, parks and taverns. I had no interest in these as the sound of explosions drew me closer to what I hoped was the Engineer¡¯s. The building as four stories high with a flat roof. Its walls were white and cracked making it look as if it would fall apart any second. The windows were open and black smoke was coming out of all the windows. I opened the door and a haze of smoke blocked my vision which caused me to cough, close my eyes and instinctively blow it away with my hands. I entered through the smoke and soon enough it cleared up. I saw a room filled with all sorts of machinery. Broken guns and spare parts littered the floor as well as bullets of all shapes and sizes were scattered about. A pile of spare parts shuddered and out came a slim white skinned demoness. She had pink hair with two small white horns. Her face looked more human than demon. Her eyes were a beautiful jade color and she had round pupils rather than slits. Her cheeks were pinkish as if she was embarrassed. She wore skimpy work clothes that revealed her smooth long legs and perky large breasts that could suffocate me. I almost drooled at her but I managed to hold it in. She said, ¡°Welcome, how may I help you?¡± in a very cute voice as her eyes closed and she tilted her head to the side. ¡°U-um,¡± I stammered as I was suddenly unable to speak. ¡°Are you here for some bullets? Or maybe a gun?¡± she asked as she turned around showing me a perfect round ass. I stared and when she turned around, my head followed but I was interrupted when she said, ¡°Sir?¡± I looked up and finally found my voice and said, ¡°I want to be an engineer.¡± ¡°Great!¡± she said, ¡°I need you to show me you are capable first though. Follow my instructions and lets see if you can help me.¡± She pointed to a drawing on the wall that looked like a blueprint for a gun and said, ¡°Make 100 sets similar it from the parts scattered here.¡± I steeled myself to do the quest that she gave me as it took a lot of effort to not look at her bre- I mean her eyes, yes her eyes. I picked up a barrel and proceeded to start making 100 of them. She was no longer in the pile but was cleaning up the place making it easy for me to get the materials. That being said, I was able to get lots of glimpses of her figure every time I went to get a part from a shelf or a cabinet. Every time I did, I would stare at her until she turned her head towards me and tilted her head. I always swung my head away quickly and tried to do my work. It took about five hours to finish and I was finally an Engineer. ¡°Great job! So I was wondering, since you¡¯re now an Engineer, maybe you can help me with my experiments from time to time,¡± she said as she placed her breasts on the counter. I looked at her brea- I mean her eyes and stammered, ¡°Y-yeah, I-I can cu-come back! Fro-from time to time.¡± She smiled and I left the building reluctantly. Outside, I felt ecstatic that I could help her with her experiments and maybe she can also help me with mine. I shook the thought before anything else happened and went to the Hunter¡¯s lodge. It was on the opposite end from where the Engineering lab was and it looked different from the rest of the buildings next to it. It had a thatched roof that curved upwards. Its walls were made of wood and it was only one story high. Through the windows, I could see stuffed animals and when I entered the lodge, the animals were either hung with their heads or standing up. Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! ¡°Welcome to the Hunter¡¯s Lodge!¡± said a slim green dragon. He wore a yellow leather clothes that with his green scales made him look like a man in camouflage. His wings were furled, his eyes were bright yellow and he had one horn at the tip of his nose. ¡°I wish to be a Hunter and a Zoologist.¡± ¡°You¡¯ve come to the right place. Take this book,¡± he said as he handed me a black leather tome rather than a book with the words ¡®Bestiary¡¯ Upon receiving the tome, I got a notice that said, ¡°Upon receiving the Bestiary, the profession, Zoologist, has been automatically accepted. ¡°And now take this orb,¡± he said as he handed me a stone orb and again the same thing with the Zoologist profession happened. ¡°That will allow you to capture the beasts and tame them. Simply target them with it and they will automatically be absorbed by the orb. You can come back for more orbs if you need to but they¡¯re quite expensive. So now, off you go, make sure that when you catch a mythical beast that you show it to me alright!¡± He and I parted ways as we smiled and I walked back to the Eastern Ward to see about being an Owner, since there was still 3 more hours until they got here. Players have already started coming, some of them ran everywhere while others walked and admired the scenery. All of them had the starter pack as you could see that they had a complete set of armor. I saw that their levels were either 13-18. I had flown most of the way to here so my level was still at 10 as I never encountered any mobs while in the air. I headed towards a large white building that had a dome shaped roof. Inside it looked like a bank with counters and registrars sitting behind them. We were separated by steel poles but it was not bother. The inside was designed very plainly and the only decorations were those poles that they placed to keep you in line. I walked up to one of the open lines and behind the counter was a Bear beastman wearing a suit. He had a scar on his face that made this brown furred bear look more like a gangster than an office worker. When I got close he said with a gruff deep voice, ¡°State your business.¡± ¡°I wish to be an Owner,¡± I said. He handed me a sheet of paper and said, ¡°Take this and it will fill itself up and we require a fee of 2 diamonds.¡± Two diamonds was worth 200 gold. I only had 2 diamonds and 300 gold. This would leave me with more than half of my current wealth. Also 1 diamond is equal to 100 gold, 1 gold is equal to 100 silver and 1 silver is equal to 100 copper. I took the sheet and it was filled with my information such as name and level. I then gave him the diamonds and the sheet with my information. I then got a notification that I was now an Owner and since that I was the first one in the game I was granted the immediate land surrounding Umbrak and that they would never be bought by anyone unless I sold it myself. I would also earn twice as much from trading with Umbrak if I ever think of doing so. Happy with what happened, I went out to buy myself healing and mana potions in the Northern Ward. I returned to the Eastern Ward to then take a look at my holdings and hired a manager to manage it for me. I was planning on exploring and having fun playing the game and I didn¡¯t want to be tied down. I instructed my manager named Sebas on what I wanted to be done. Sebas was a slim demon. You could never tell that he was a demon as the only tell tale sign was that he had a tail, otherwise he would appear as a regular human. He had white trimmed hair and wore glasses. His skin was white and he wore a butler uniform. I instructed him specifically to sell any lumber or food that was gathered to the Shadow faction as well as all the ore mined in the nearby quarries. 10% of earnings was to be sent to me while the remaining 90% would be stored in my bank account. That being said, I also instructed him to keep the high leveled materials from the quarry for my later use. Having finished my business with Sebas, I waited for Alex and Aaron to come near the gates. I watched as players came in either alone or in a group. Some of them wore battered and tattered clothes while others wore the same equipment that I had. Their average level were 15, high than mine. Soon, two demons walked up to me and said, ¡°Luke its us!¡± I noticed them immediately as the people I was waiting for. Alex¡¯s name in game was Asura and his race was Blue Demon sub-race. He had blue skin, catlike eyes and red unkempt hair. He had a black rod with a sapphire tip. Aaron¡¯s name in game Bane and his race was Blood Demon sub-race. He had blood red skin, same catlike eyes, blue spiky hair and two black horns on his head. He had a large great axe behind his back. They both had the starter pack gear and so they didn¡¯t look like a ragtag group. Their levels were higher than mine Alex at 16 and Aaron at 20. I said, ¡°Hey guys. How¡¯d you guys level up so fast?¡± ¡°Your brother wanted to kill everything in sight,¡± sighed Alex. ¡°Hey levels are important! The more levels we get the faster we get our evolutions!¡± retorted Aaron. ¡°Anyway, why is your level still 10 and how did you get here so fast?¡± asked Alex. I flew up and spread my hands. They looked at me confused and after a while Alex said, ¡°No way.¡± I nodded and Aaron was confused as he looked at Alex and I and finally I said, ¡°I can fly indefinitely.¡± Aaron looked at me a seriously and asked, ¡°Are you serious?¡± I nodded. He still looked incredulous so I said to Alex, ¡°Are you guys going to get your professions?¡± ¡°Yeah, it might take us a while seeing how big the city is,¡± he said. ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll go level around the place while you guys go explore.¡± He nodded and he led Aaron with him inside. I went into the forest and started soloing for a while. -----------------
