What wouldn¡¯t you change? Only to find out you went too far, the beings who watch over the dream world notice your control and force you into a world you know nothing about. But you find out that you may not only have the power to control things in your dreams, but also in reality. A few nights ago I had the strangest of dreams. I could freely shape everything I did in my dream so basically creating my own ideal dream world. I don¡¯t know how this happened to me or why it started just a mere 3 days ago instead of at the beginning of my life. All I know is that I wanted to experiment with the limits of my control over it and what I can do in the world, and that required many hours of sleep. The days after finding out about my newfound ability I decided to sleep. Almost the entire day each and everyday, if you were to compare the hours slept, you would think I was a Koala. But, I wanted to do more, experiment more, making fantasy creatures, things no one would ever see in our world. My dreams were what i used to escape my mundane life of doing repetitive things over and over. School, work, and bills along with all the other ordinary day things one does. I had freedom, absolute freedom over my dreams. No one tells me what I can or can¡¯t do in them because they were MY dreams, or so I thought... This story has been taken without authorization. I wonder if this is what a goddess feels like as i easily will a world into existence. A world that is ideal to me. Trees in nearly all pieces of land sprouting from the ground as oceans appear around the two continents I imagine into my dream. Castles made of glistening emeralds, diamonds, and rubies, the oceans are like glass able to see as deep as the light reaches, pure and unpolluted, while deep in them where no light reaches are monsters that would be told in legends, such as leviathans, enormous squids like the kraken, turtles the size of islands. While fish swim abound leaping around streams and lakes allowing birds and beasts to feast and be happy. But, I wanted people I could talk to, interact with, and make friends with. But humans in my dreams were just like those in reality. Blood-thirsty, not caring for nature or the consequences of their actions and continuous expansions ruining all of nature as they greedily take more land for themselves. Which is why i imagine dragons, a white dragon and a black dragon. I thought of them as balance just like the yin-yang symbols on Earth. When we exceeded our boundaries, they appeared. Majestic, with glistening scales that reflects the sun and showers the ground in a radiant glow of white and black. But as with all humans, we adapt. The dragons were hard pressed to keep up with the advances in weaponry meant to slay them, and rewards were given for their heads from the kingdoms. Mountains were ravaged for materials to renew their armoury and improve their killing machines. I watched with sorry as the dragons eventually perished at the hands of the men. I felt sadness and I cried not wanting to do anything with the world I, invented I wondered to myself if this is what it feels like seeing what you make, but not interfering, and this is where my mistakes began. I decided to destroy all the weapons created, the castles i built and anything I made to help my human society advance. I decimated all the soldiers who slayed the dragons with lightning and ravaged the castles with earthquakes that torn the ground asunder and swallowed them whole. I was an avenging goddess angered with grief and sorrow, and that is when I heard the voice, the voice that changed my life forever. This text was taken from Royal Road. Going to imprison me or kill me or something?¡± ¡°You will be fed to the demons as a sacrifice so we are not attacked for a decade.¡± When she said that I was utterly speechless, ¡®how can you just sacrifice people to demons like it doesn¡¯t matter?¡¯ ¡°Ummm, why do you have those ears? Are they real?¡± I reached up and rubbed them only to have my hand slapped away and me thrown across the room against the wall. ¡°Don¡¯t touch my ears, and yes you are the weird one here with no ears or tail! You are lucky we are not killing you right away since our lord said you will need to suffer here for your crimes.¡± I could have swore she was going to tear me apart! ¡®Cat girls are scary!¡¯ was my first thought of this new world. I began looking around the area I was in and I noticed the walls were made from some type of dark marble with insignias of ice on each individual block. ¡°Who made this? It¡¯s amazing how all of these are like exact replicas.¡± Before I notice I am ignored and throw out with directions to my new place to live. I begin to look around the huge church and notice it has strange symbols on it, which i assume is the symbol of Tavir. The rude god who threw me into this world. ¡®I¡¯ll have my revenge on him! He not only took my ability but he threw me into this world that favors him! OF course everyone is going to hate me, who broke one of his ¡°creeds¡±. How am I suppose to know laws that I don¡¯t even know exist!¡¯ While I was thinking I missed all the strange glances that were thrown my way. What I didn¡¯t miss were all the inhabitants of this world. ¡°I guess I really am the only human here.¡± I mutter softly to myself as i feel tears threatening to spill from my eyes. People mutter all around as i continue down a dirt road to the outskirts of town. It seems that this is a fairly large village to me. My feet are so sore from this ground. ¡®Note to self at least wear slippers when sleeping from now on.¡¯ By the looks of it most of the houses seem to be made of stone, which surprises me considering what the time period is, or at least what i think it is. I had expect something more along the lines of wooden log cabin type houses of the sort. But it seems each house has at least two floors, with windows as well. If I had to compare it to knowledge from Earth, this would be a little bit like steampunk, minus the steam. I was staring at each house and I noticed something perculiar¡­.they all are built in the same way as the church with symbols of that awful god on certain areas. I was so flusstered watching all the different house designs and god symbols that i accidently ran into someone and fell down. With scales along their entire body, a forked tongue and all. Like a full snaked lord voldermort or something! ¡°u-u-u-uhhh it won¡¯t happen again!¡± running as far as I could I finally noticed I made it to the forest¡¯s edge where the Listain household was located at. ¡°Uwwwaaaaa! It¡¯s ginormous, I have to live in this castle? Oh no I¡¯m probably going to be a servant or something.¡± Just the thought of that dampened my mood at the regal castle. It has twin spires at each corner with battlements and even a moat! As I slowly approached I noticed more details which would be two flags. One seems to be the church symbol and the other I didn¡¯t recognize. It had lions with some sort of weird blackish thing in their mouths as they are attacking it seems. Walking upto the castle gates I noticed they were down and two imposing figures stood outside. They were lions! ¡®My goodness I have to live with lions!¡¯ As my thoughts are racing I see them begin to approach me. Alice follows them while her legs slightly tremble. ¡®How important is this person for there to be guards just for me.¡¯ As thoughts race across her mind she notices a chill as the temperature around her begins to drop. ¡°Why is it getting colder if I may ask?¡± ¡°That is the way our queen likes it, now stop asking dumb questions!¡± ¡®Queen?! I have to live with the queen of this world!¡¯ Her mind is racing as she thinks of how hard it will be to get a good impression on the queen she is imaging to be a ferocious, human eating tiger. ¡®What if I make a mistake and she eats my arms! Or worse, what if she decides she doesn¡¯t want to put up with me and just throws me out!¡¯ As her thoughts race, her and the 2 lion guards arrive at a door guarded by two more lions.¡¯ ¡°The human is here to request an audience my queen!¡± The lions announce Alice¡¯s presence to the throne room door, and they slowly begin to open, as she gulps. ¡°She may come in.¡± A voice that sounds like a mesmerizing song comes through the doors. As the doors fully open Alice sees the queen of this world with a hand resting against her cheek and a tilted crown studded with sky-blue sapphires. She is sitting upon a throne made of ice and she has features that look familiar, but Alice just can¡¯t place the type of animal right away and completely by accident says out loud,¡± Aren¡¯t you cold?¡± The lions guards stare towards Alice ready to pin her down and beat her before the queen laughs at the comment. ¡°You are interesting, why would I be cold when I am of the penguin lineage? The noble rulers of this world that was once covered in ice. It was only due to us asking Tavir, that he allowed the planet to warm and let other species also flourish.¡± Her voice made Alice feel nearly compelled to kneel down and ask to serve her. ¡°Now as I understand you broke Tavir¡¯s divine creed and destroyed a single creation you made, that is folly. Favoritism is something any divine being should never do. That is why we apostles exist to carry out their will if needed. But, I will not hate you, you are the first human to ever set foot here and I am interested in what you are capable of. Chapter 3 ¡®It¡¯s been a long day, I¡¯ve been slapped around a church, glared at by snakes, growled at by lions, and then I met a queen that I was sure would be scary, or I at least thought she would be. She seemed fascinated about the stories I was telling her of Earth. (I made sure not to mention the position of penguins there!) I also talked about the education system and things such as schools and colleges but she seemed unimpressed by them, until I mentioned skyscrapers and all the tall buildings we have. Wing seemed to enjoy hearing about things that don¡¯t exist in this world, its almost as if she is planning on using these ideas to improve this place herself. It¡¯s scary seeing such a smart person sucking up ideas to make her own.¡¯ Wing and Alice were sitting at a small dining area, made of ice of course. While eating some fish, I asked some questions about the inhabitants of this world. ¡°So since most things here that are sentient seem to have the ability to speak, do trees speak?¡± Alice asks while she eats a particularly weird heart shaped fish. ¡°Few trees talk these days, they deemed that they wanted a quiet life and most made their offspring unable to talk by wording a nature spell. Treants are extremely rare and we sometimes go to them for advice due to how they can live for eons.¡± Wing said. ¡°Um is there anything warmer I can wear? Since it¡¯s pretty cold here, I feel like I¡¯d freeze to death.¡± ¡°Oh don¡¯t worry, this is a room that suits your needs, just tell it what you want and it will switch to meet anything possible, of course this television and other things of your world can¡¯t be made but simply asking for the temperature to change is quite easy.¡± This story originates from a different website. The map of the castle in the dining room showed that the guest rooms are located in the northern part of the castle, as Alice didn¡¯t know which room it was, she decided to explore a bit before going to her room. If you ask her later if she regretted exploring the castle instead of going straight to her room, she may have wished she had for everything that would happen. However she¡¯d still explore again even knowing the results. Chapter 4 is going to be delayed due to me needing to write some lore for a certain part of the story.
