This is my first fanfic and I know I get bored easily so I might quit the project suddenly. I am planning the fanfic to include mature themes (dark, killing, sex, slavery, rape, etc) or not¡­ I haven¡¯t decided yet but it is possible so you have been warned. My update schedule would be two chapters a month though it might change depending whether I am busy or not. Most probably only 1 chapter per month. Or should I say was Vincent¡­ Let me tell you my story, It was started on a fateful day when I went to jog in the morning alone. I was married, approaching 60 years old and a bit overweight (90kg) so I started jogging in the morning to control my weight. There was something different than usual that fateful morning, I saw a little girl chasing her ball to the middle of the street right across me. Suddenly I saw a car is speeding directly to the little girl and I know instinctively she won¡¯t be able to avoid it on time. Usually it is no big deal since almost all the cars has been configured to drive automatically and avoid collision automatically between late 2020s and early 2030s so I wasn¡¯t worried since it will avoid the little girl automatically. Somehow my body reacted by itself and the next thing I know, I already jumped and hug the little girl, shielding her from the impact by using my own body. Then I felt something hit me and people screaming and the sky is rolling in my eyes (Guess the impact was hard enough to send me flying). The next time I wake up i am in a white empty room, lying on a bed. ¡°Well it seems I have survived the impact and resting in a hospital room¡±. I thought. Stranger = ¡°How are you feeling?¡± I almost jumped since I didn¡¯t realize someone in the room with me. Then I calmed down, years of experience have taught me a lot. ¡°Must be the doctor¡± I thought. Not him, not his superior. Resurrecting me will cause trouble since I gave my life to save the little kid. Beside they can¡¯t ignore ¡°The Rules¡± or whatever it is. I finally give up = ¡°So I guess everybody got a wish when they died?¡± GA (fidgeting) = ¡°Well, no, not all of them¡± Me = ¡°So everyone who did noble thing got one wish.¡± GA (more fidgeting) = ¡°Well, no¡­¡± Me (Confused) = ¡°So what¡¯s make me different?¡± By then I realize the so called guardian angel will answer my questions but won¡¯t give me more explanation than necessary. GA (Looks Guilty) = ¡°Well, I am the guardian of the little girl, not you. She has a strong fate to bring peace and prosperous to your species so I was tasked to watch over her. The car driving system was tempered by the hostiles so I had to use the nearest available body.¡± Me= ¡°YOU WHAT???? AND YOU CAN¡¯T CHANGE MY WISH????WHY NOT JUST MOVE HER BODY USING YOUR POWER!¡± GA = ¡°We can¡¯t manipulate people with strong fate. The older people are easier to manipulate since they have used up much of their fate.¡± I realize this SOB using my body to protect the little girl. No wonder I would do that even though I know usually the car will avoid the little girl. GA = ¡°Well, we already compensate you with one wish.¡± Me = ¡°I DON¡¯T THINK ONE WISH IS COMPARABLE TO MY LIFE!¡± GA = ¡°Um, but you are an old guy and your wish is carry over to your next life. But I get your point there, we might be able to do a little bit but not a lot.¡± After more bickering and fighting, I managed to get more in addition to my wish: 1. They will watch my family and make sure everyone happy for 100 years. I can¡¯t ask for forever apparently. This is a personal favor from them and not counted as a wish. This guy will personally send some training GA for my family. I can¡¯t ask for high ranked GA though, they already have their hand full. 2. I will be born in a good house, family, species, planet, galaxy, bla bla bla that will help me be happy in my next reincarnation. 3. They will bless me in my next life. That would protect me from the bad guys(the hostiles) but not much other use. This is also a personal blessing from them. Other than that I couldn¡¯t do anything and the SOB won¡¯t reveal my next family since it is breaking the rule. Believe me, I spent like eternity trying to bend the so called rules but since I don¡¯t know exactly what the rules are (he refused to explain them, citing breaking rules to explain rules to mortals, what a joke) I can¡¯t do much. It seems the SOB are tiring from answering my endless questions even though most of my questions just get standard response (I can¡¯t explain it to you, citing the rules, blablabla). After I got past my anger and worry (about my family) and calm down, I think the deal favor me heavily. Hey, I was an old man anyway and I got my family covered for a century and a good next life. Me = ¡°I think I have no more questions¡± GA = ¡°Finally, I thought I am going to spend eternity answering your never ending question.¡± Then he claps his hand. ¡°You would if you start answering and not citing breaking the rules thingy.¡± Well, what can I say, I am always a curious guy despite my age. End of Prologue Chapter 1 Chapter 1: First Year The next thing I realize is that I am in a confined dark chamber for some time. I felt save and warm even though it¡¯s kinda tight. Then the walls around me are contracting and pushing me and I can hear lots of noise and finally I saw a blinding light all around me. I am not happy then and start screaming, I mean who would be happy when they were kicked out of their house and suddenly got a blinding light in their face. Then I felt tired and sleepy(probably due to long screaming). Someone hug me and I felt warm and secure and drifted to sleep. The next days are filled with sleeping and eating and I am content. Once everything have settled down I tried to gather my thought. I seem to remember a little bit of who I am or should I say who I was. I was almost 60 years old when I died and got reborn. The other details are vague. I didn¡¯t remember much of my past life events but I realize that I have been reincarnated. Why i still remember my past life? Think that GA mess up again. I tried to see around me but it seems my baby eyes won¡¯t let me focus enough to discern pattern. I would try that again every day until everything are clear. I also tried to hear what are they talking about but I seem not to understand a little bit. From my hearing it¡¯s a quite different than English. As a result I can just eating, sleeping, practicing my eyesight and hearing. When I got to 3 months old I find out some things: 1. My name is very long but they like to call me Bry something similar to Bry. 2. I am not human, it seems my parent are humanoid, quite tall(well they are all tall for a baby), yellow skinned(like chinese or japanese), pointed ear, slim, quite big eyes and quite beautiful(for me at least but I am their son so I might be biased). Might be similar to those elves in stories. 3. I managed to understand a little bit of their language and start practicing by mimicking when nobody sees me. 4. I mean I have a mentality of 60 years old man; it is quite embarrassing making a lot of mistakes in pronunciation while being laughed at fairy tale creatures. 5. I am 3 months old and they are not expecting me to speak or walk anytime soon. 6. I have an elder brother and an elder sister. I don¡¯t know their age but I would think they are around 6-8 for my brother and 3-4 for my sister. Both of them love me but they prefer to play with their friends all day. 7. We have a maid in the house, one quite pretty young lady. 8. My baby room is next to my parent room but I sleep alone. I am a good baby which means I only got hungry once or twice in the night. 9. I am very bored, I am practicing to crawl and expecting to be able to crawl anytime soon so I can explore by myself. To summary boring things for the next 3 months: 1. I am now 6 months old 2. I have been able to crawl since i was 3 ? months and my parent are very happy. 3. I can speak a few words when I was 4 months old. Mainly papa, mama, poo poo, pee pee. Everyone beaming like I am the Einstein of this world. The reason why I start speaking was because I don¡¯t like to ¡°poo poo¡± and ¡°pee pee¡± in my pants so I need to inform them ASAP. 4. I have been able to walk at 5 months old but I kept this to myself since I don¡¯t like attention like when I first able to crawl and speak. I never enjoy attention even in my past life. It is very satisfying though and I have been able to run at 6 months old. 5. I like to go missing whenever my mom is busy. At first she tried to ask my brother or sister to watch me whenever she is busy but I always managed to lose them since they are easily distracted. Since I always return at feeding time and sleeping time, finally my mom just give up. 6. My house is quite big. My parent and I are in the first floor while the kids are in the second floor. My dad¡¯s workshop is in the first floor and my mom¡¯s work desk is in the second floor. 7. Since we have a maid and quite big house I would say we are a well off family though maybe not noble (I don¡¯t know how royalty live in this world so we might be a poor noble family). Today I find my favorite place, a library! The location is next to my mom¡¯s work room. Usually the door always kept close but one day I found it open. You can¡¯t imagine my joy since I was a bookworm in my previous life. Then I dejected again after realizing I can¡¯t read this world¡¯s written language. Some are like runes, some like ancient Egyptian, some like ancient Chinese, etc. I won¡¯t give up and searching a book with pictures. A bookworm like me is unable to read any book? That would be a torture. Suddenly there is a sound and notification in my eyes:

Well, I guess blessing of the sun is my racial trait since my race is noted as Sun Elf. Genius Mind and Aura Blessing seems what I got from the GA (I remember more clearly now about the GA event when I died). Comparing words from my windows and from books I managed to spend the next 6 months learning to read languages and reading books at daylight and light exercising and sleeping at night. The reason why I start light exercising was because in my past life I remember some research on animals suggest training animals from young age will increase their overall life as long as you don¡¯t push the animals too hard (which can result in broken bone, trauma, etc). I only do light stretching. For 6 months I have learn quite a bit from the books, of course I kept it secret from my family, I don¡¯t want to be labeled genius or freak. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. To sum it up, I have learned: 1. This world is quite big and quite a lot of areas left unexplored. 2. Candles are quite expensive and rarely use. No sign of electricity. 3. Magic exist in this world. We can learn magic at school but not everyone are able to use magic. How strong magic you can use depend on your affinity, mana, wisdom and knowledge. 4. Magic is divided on several elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Holy, and Dark. 5. Everyone have affinity to one or several elements. Having affinity means you can learn magic easier. The elements have opposite effect. Fire vs Water, Earth vs Wind, and Holy vs Dark. Meaning if you have affinity to both fire and water, you need to be careful since the magic can harm you instead. 6. There are several major races and uncounted minor races and sub-races. The major races are Human, Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Demon and Beastman. I belong to one of sub-race of elf, the sun elf. As the name suggest, we are stronger by daylight and have a yellow skin as sign of sun blessing. 7. It is possible to cross breeding between races, however the children might get prejudiced so it is not a common thing. 8. The economy depends on magic in big cities but not so in rural areas like my home. In cities they have public lamps powered by magic stones, vehicles driven by magic power, etc but they horribly expensive and only few nobles and royalty can afford them. 9. I learned mana perception and meditation from the books. They are useful to train your magic affinity and wisdom it seems. I practice it at night reducing my sleeping time but I like it since meditation refresh your mind and body, reducing my need to sleep. Sometimes I also wonder if I one of the star is the earth sun. Oh yeah, we have 3 moons and 2 suns. One sun is smaller than the other and not always visible every day. 10. My father is minor nobility; he is the village chief and handles village security and diplomacy. 11. My mother is a scribe. Since there are no printing machines in this world, a scribe is valued and sworn to secrecy. Needless to say I am checking her finished works and it seems she like it since I do not ruin the paper. Maybe she thinks I want to become a scribe like her. 12. I am in the territory of elven kingdom Durothar. One of two elven kingdoms in the land. The other elven kingdom is across the ocean, the elven kingdom of Avalon. This world is quite big, much bigger than earth and there are a lot of areas still unexplored, according to my map. 13. The temperature varies. My hometown have 4 seasons much like some places on earth. 14. We have 30 hours per day and 30 days per month and 12 months per year. Each hour is equal 60 minutes. 15. The population also use base ten calculation. 16. There are a lot of religions in this world. Some are tolerant, others are fanatical, and some are popular while others are dying. Some religions are race-specific while others, mostly the popular ones spread across races. Most religions are polytheistic though several are monotheistic. My family is polytheistic but mainly worships the elven sun god. No wonder since we are the sun elf. 17. Each race have their own language and writing system but we have a common language and writing system that are taught to every diplomats and merchants of the 6 races. Legends say that the gods gave the common language to prevent another devastating war between the 6 races. The races in particular really interest me since here we have so many sentient races as opposed to earth only human. The so called major races are the most numerous sentient race in this world and it seems they have their own characteristic. Minor races means their number are smaller. Some of the minor races are very strong like the dragons, the giants, the vampires, the werewolves, etc. Some are very weak like the goblins, the kobolds, the gnolls, etc. Another interesting point is that we can cross-breed between 6 major races theoretically since there were several instances of half-breed though they are not common. We might evolve from a single race recently if I still remember the biology lesson from my previous life. The 6 major races are also humanoid. This world will reject any notion of common ancestor though since every single of major races believes they are superior to others. Another interesting point is the racial characteristics of the major races: 1. Human have a racial skill of adaptability. Enabling them to learn more skill and access to majority of class. Downside to human is that human have no special class which mean they are quite weak as individual or small army. A big human army is reputed to be one of the strongest single race army though since they have all different classes in their army. Human have no sub-race. Human in this world are very similar to human on earth with different eyes, skin color, hair color, etc. There seems no racist between human in this world like on earth. Probably because there are a lot of other much more different sentient creatures. There are racist in humanity though in essence some of human don¡¯t like and differentiate other races. The human race hates the demon race. I think because the demon race is opposite of human race, in which they have the most sub-races and very specialize in their classes. 2. Demon have the most sub-races. Every sub-race is specialized in a several specific class. If all demon sub-races are united under one banner, they would be the strongest army instead of the human race. Sadly they keep bickering among themselves; probably the down side of having too many sub-races is that you constantly want to prove that your sub-race is superior. Probably similar to racism on earth? They hate human race the most though. 3. Elves have the best agility. We are considered the best archer and the fastest spell caster. We have limited number of sub-races: the white elves (have white skin), the sun elves (yellow skin), the night elves (dark skin), the moon elves (blue skin), the blood elves (red skin), and the wood elves (green skin). We have the longest life span of all major races. The down side is that our fertility is lower and we have inferior strength and as a result our heavy armor class is inferior to other races. We hate orcs (not me though, I don¡¯t know why, maybe because I have several memory as human?). 4. Orcs have the best strength. They are considered the most feared berserker and have more vitality than other races. They are also the most fertile and quick growing race. Their offspring require almost none of training to be able to use their own choice of weapon. Their weakness are their magician and archers are somewhat inferior, they usually lacking in speed and agility though some experienced orcs are a match of human or even elves in term of speed. They also have lower life expectancy though maybe because of their tendency to charge head-on to enemies. Orcs are famous for very brave or very stupid. I guess a bit of both. They also hate us usually. 5. Dwarves have the inner talent for metal working and inventing. Though lacking in height, and somewhat slower than other races but they can compensate it with superior arms and machines. Their magicians are different than other races in terms their magicians mostly use runes and enchanted weapons rather than raw magic like other races. They hate the beastman. 6. Beastman have superior talent depending on their sub-race. Having the most sub-races beside demon race, their sub-race is famous of having utilized unique weapons and armors depending on their sub-race. Many of the beastman choose to fight bare-handed and no armor though, believing in their inherent weapon and armor. Several of their sub-races also famous for having a strong affinity magic. They shun the dwarves and consider them as much more inferior since the dwarf¡¯s inherent physical ability is much inferior to the beastman. Equipped with rune weapons and armor though, the dwarves are more than a match to any beastman. Well, that just makes the beastman label them as cowards who rely on their weapon alone. To be fair, no other major races are able to compete with the beastman in terms of inherent physical ability except some of the demon sub race. My first birthday party is very eventful, my parent invites the entire village much to my discomfort since they keep tossing me around. Just try imagine being an elder and get tossed around. I didn¡¯t cry though since I would like to appreciate my parent¡¯s effort. At long last the party is over and I got the best birthday prize. But not from my parent. Chapter 2 I am writing chapter 7 right now and no action yet. I hope to have some major action at chapter 9. You are my hallucination, right?¡± (Laughing) ¡°Ofcourse not, you silly. I am the Goddesses of the Star. Surely you have read about me in the book?¡± Me = ¡°Well I am not really a believer so I kinda dismiss the gods and goddesses as fairy tale.¡± ¡°That¡¯s quite rude of you. I am real you know. Sure the stories are 80% fake but there are some truths inside them also¡±. Me = ¡°I apologize; of course I know they contain truth. I just guess that the gods aren¡¯t true. But if you are not my hallucination then there are gods huh.¡± ¡°And Goddesses, yes, we are real.¡± Me = ¡°Well, what can I do for you my lovely lady?¡± ¡°What a flirt, you don¡¯t even know my look¡± Me = ¡°Well you have a lovely voice¡± (Laughing) ¡°You sound like an old man instead of one year old boy but no woman will reject compliment. In the morning after breakfast all family gather in the living room, including our maid and my siblings, oh yeah their name are Chald and Merline. They pray some praise to the gods and goddesses then they start conversing with each other and talking about their expectation. My bro want to become a ranger, an archer class that can use a little bit of magic, stealth, tracking and dagger for close combat. This might change according to race and upbringing but an adult usually at age 15 will have an average 15 on str and agi, a 13-18 int and varying wis. Int also develops easier when you are younger but more or less stuck when you get older. You can also learn languages easier when you are younger. However some skilled people might be able to see your skill nevertheless while a permanent hidden skill start at hidden and won¡¯t be able to be seen by other people. It is quite hard to learn and advance skill and usually it take years to master one. My mom is a level 37 with rune magician class, her profession is a scribe. Their level is considered quite high. They told me that they used to be quite famous adventurer. I also learn a few things on classes, profession, title and my parent: 1. Titles, Classes and profession are not dependent to each other. There are some titles, classes and profession with same name like knight, priest, farmer, king, etc. But it is entirely possible for a knight class to have a priest profession. 2. Once you choose your class, there are few options to change to other class. Mostly people won¡¯t change their class at all due to hard penalty or requirement. You can change to higher related class though, the term is class evolution. Several samples are squire to knight, warrior to swordsman or axeman , priest to high priest to bishop to cardinal, etc. 3. My mom have higher salary than my dad, it seems she is considered as one of few master scribe in the world. Her job require utmost secrecy and sworn not to copy the contents without the permission of the owner. They don¡¯t say anything about reading them though¡­ 4. Profession usually determines what you do mainly for your living. Whether you are a king or a farmer, a thief or a merchant, an assassin or a bodyguard will show in your profession. Professions are easy to change though, a captured thief will soon change the profession to prisoner, a king can become a farmer if he chose to abdicate and do farming, etc. 5. It seems my dad was quite famous and knows important people before my grandfather passed away and he was forced to settle down and retire from his adventures. I have an uncle and two aunts but they have no desire to live in the village. My uncle lives in another elven kingdom, one of my aunt and her husband live in the capital, surprisingly my other aunt marry a human prince and live in her husband¡¯s kingdom. 6. Title is automatic and given to you depending on your circumstances, the most common ones are baby, children, teenagers, adult, villager, adventurer, royalty titles (like count, dukes, kings, queens, etc). You can have more than one title theoretically but usually most people only have one title since the better ones override the lower ones. To conclude it, I can say that titles can be influenced or not, depending on the circumstances. Classes is very important since once you chose it, usually you will have it for live. On the other hand, you can freely choose your profession and you can change it anytime you want. Chapter 3 I am still working on chapter 7. I am working so i have little time except weekends. Several months after my sister left for capital, I had my second birthday and finally have my tutor come to our house as a surprise present from my parent. It is quite rare for one of the good magicians to accept a job offer in a small village while my parent insist to find me the best magician to tutor me since they already consider me as a prodigy. If you want to cast other element than natural element of the mana of your body, you would need to convert your mana into that element first. Converting mana cost you mana and if you are trying to cast an opposite elemental than your natural mana, it can cause conflict with your own natural element and can cause injury or even kill yourself. Chapter 4 Chapter 4: First Travel I am almost 5 years old now. I have developed a good relationship with my sensei, she is a very capable teacher after all. I found out a few things about her: 1. She is an herbalist, a very good one. In fact, I think I learn more about nature than about magic. Well, she is a wood elf so no wonder she is very good with plants. 2. She is not yet married. In this world the wealthy and royalty tend to marry at a young age, between 12-15 or even younger due to pressure for heirs. The peasant class and longer lifespan races tend to marry a little bit later. However, the adventurers tend to marry a lot later. Higher level tends to have longer and healthier life. Adventurer life is full of danger so they tend to die young and unmarried. My teacher is one of adventurer though she likes to teach children also. 3. She has been going to dungeons with other adventurers since she was 15. She is quite good with bow, cooking and some minor healing spells. 4. She has a good aptitude to holy element and water element. A rare dual element magician. 5. She is related to the elven magician guild, she wouldn¡¯t say but I guess she is still a relative to a high ranked person in the guild. She was born in the village of arnheim in durothar kingdom but she went to study in Avalon, Zephira is one of her teachers. Meanwhile in almost 3 years of studying under her, I have learned several skills such as identifying, status manipulation, herbalist, archery, cooking, and basic magic. I also learned to trick aptitude test by casting basic spell while doing an aptitude test and canceling them. The crystal will show the result according to the type of magic that I cast. In case I am forced to do that by someone in the future. I learn that magic is another form of energy in this world. Usually you need to say words to help you concentrate in casting your spell. However, I find it unnecessary to chant basic spell. Perhaps it is because I have more concentration or maybe because I actually understand the principle of what the magic is trying to do. Or maybe because my teacher also able to use chantless magic. It is a common knowledge in this world that when you use magic to summon water, it is much more difficult to do it in dessert. It is also common knowledge that controlling rivers and lakes are easier than controlling ocean. The scholars in this world theorize that air and land contain water while in dessert, the air and land doesn¡¯t contain water or very little water. They also theorize that ocean is harder to control due to the water is salty and the power of the vast ocean. Of course they are partly correct but they have no idea of molecules and atoms. Once I combine my understanding of molecules and atoms with my magic, I find it easier to separate the element that I want from the other elements. I also learned sword skill and dual wielding from my father. I have decided to go to study on Avalon, the other elven kingdom across the ocean to the east. The reason is the scholarship Zephira offered to me and the reputation as one of leading magic academy in the world. My status right now is something like this :

Oh I also pick up multilingual skill from reading the books and the parchment that my mom copy. Usually it is very difficult to learn new skill and raising skill mastery; the reasons why I can raise my mastery very fast are because of three things: 1. My parent and my teacher is quite good at their respective skills, combine with my genius mind, I was able to learn new skill quickly and raise my skill mastery very fast. 2. I can activate my blessing of the goddess of the star 4 times a day, further decreasing my need to rest and enabling me to study longer. 3. I have high intelligent, it seems higher intelligent will help your mastery rate. My teacher will accompany me to Avalon. We will travel using river boat to the harbor city for around 10 days. From the port city, venice, to Avalon will take around 3 weeks to over one month if we use one of the fastest ship. I have mixed plants that have similar property like ginger and mint leaves for me to take as sea sickness medicine. In my previous world, I rarely take a boat. There are several big buildings, the churches, the library, the governor palace, the guild houses, etc. Other thing that surprises me is the slaves. I saw creatures from various species in shackles and collars when we arrived at the harbor. Me = ¡°Sensei, why are they shackled? Are they criminal?¡± My teacher looks at me with funny eyes. Serin = ¡°No, they are slaves, my dear.¡± Me= ¡°Slaves?¡± I was shocked since there were no slaves back on earth but I should guess a medieval world would have slaves. We also don''t have slaves in the village. Serin = ¡°Yes, beside citizens, we have indentured, who enslaved themselves for a fixed period of time and have limited rights and slaves who have no right at all. They are quite expensive and we elves don¡¯t really like having slaves.¡± Me = ¡°Why would anybody want to enslave themselves?¡± Serin = ¡°There are various reasons, they might have debt or they need money for their family. Indentured actually has not much different with regular servant except they can¡¯t choose their master or their job.¡± Me = ¡°I see, how about the slaves? Where do they come from?¡± My teacher shows obvious disgust when I mention slaves but she answers my question anyway. Serin = ¡°There are people who breeds slaves. It is much more profitable to raid an unsuspecting village or kidnap villagers though.¡± Me = ¡°Isn¡¯t it illegal to do that?¡± Serin = ¡°Yes, but the slavers usually raid or kidnap people from far away and beaten them to submission before selling them here.¡± Me = ¡°I wonder why the king doesn¡¯t ban slavery, it seems so¡­.¡± Serin = ¡°Yes, we elves don¡¯t like slavery. However, the king can¡¯t ban slavery, if he does that; the slavers will just sell the slaves elsewhere. At least here, we actually treat the slaves much better than other kingdoms. We ban elven slaves here though.¡± Me = ¡°I see.¡± Looking at the multiple races in the port city, I realize why the elves don¡¯t like slavery. We are quite beautiful compare to other races. I don¡¯t know if my judgement is bias but I think an elven slave will be very expensive. Serin = ¡°Let¡¯s check in first in the best inn in venice. We will leave next week.¡± Me = ¡°We will spend a week here? Why?¡± Serin = ¡°Yes, I want you to adapt living in the big city. My elder brother goes to Durothar to study. A short trip from Arnheim, our home. I refused to go to Durothar too, instead I opt to go to Avalon, reputed the best in the world to study magic. Though my parent objected to my wish, they finally relented and contact my mom¡¯s father friend, the headmistress of the Avalon Royal School. To put it short, I spent 13 years from 5 years old to 18 years old under the guidance of Zephira. First, I was afraid of her but I got close to her over time. In the end she becomes like second mother to me. I graduated from the university at 18 years, being one of the youngest expert-level mage in the world. Instead of working for the elven magic guild, I opted to explore the world instead. I have a desire to train my teaching ability; I guess it is much from Zephira¡¯s influence. I also want to see the world especially the plants. I have a passion about plants; I think I inherited it from my mom¡¯s side. Though not very talented in magic, she is a very accomplished herbalist. The fateful day is when I see the posting for tutoring job in the elven guild. I am browsing through the posting when one of the requests caught my eye. No, the payment is not that good, but it is ok. The terms and location is the ones that interest me. The request is from the village chief of Alastair village, I never heard of the village and the location is quite remote. To put such amount of money and a secrecy clause in the request means that there is something more in it. I can also explore the surrounding forest to check the local plants, I might find something that interest me. If nothing interesting happen, I will just quit and find another job. So I send a letter along with my CV to the village chief. Meanwhile I will relax at home with my parents and siblings; I got a sister which is 15 years younger than me. I will spend my time playing with her. The reply letters surprise me, they require an oath of secrecy and ask a lot more about me. This just furthers my curiosity so I replied the letter and answer the questions. I also agree for the oath of secrecy. They reply that they ask for some time to discuss but they like me so far. The response is late but they accepted me and requested whether it is possible to come in one month, at the end of the eleventh month. I replied ok and started to prepare my luggage and talk with parent. Needless to say they objected that their beloved daughter to work in such a remote area. Not that it matters though, they never win against me. Beside I am an expert-level magician; any common bandit would be history if they met me. Planning my trip, I would stop several times in the small villages along the way from arnheim to alastair to observe the local plants. My previous adventures were on eastern continent. The western continent plants differ from their eastern cousins, I have seen a lot of interesting plants along the way. Of course there are several wolves and other wild animals in the forest but nothing an ice blade can¡¯t deal with. Things went differently in the village of suzerain, when I arrive there are very few villagers in the harbor. I see an old looking elf in the village harbor and ask him the question. Serin = ¡°Excuse me sir, where is everybody?¡± The villager look at me and says Johann = ¡°My name is Johann and I am no sir, young lady. They are gathering in the village chief¡¯s house. If you would take an advice, you better leave the village now.¡± Serin = ¡°My name is Serin. Why Johann? Am I not welcomed here?¡± Johann frown at that = ¡°You are very much welcomed here but there are circumstances lately. If you want to know more ask the chief. His name is Hendrik. They are gathering at his house.¡± So I proceed to the chief¡¯s house. It is the biggest building in the village but without any fancy ornament. A standard two-story building which is very poor compare to the buildings in arnheim. The door is opened and there is discussion inside. I say discussion but it was more like they are all speaking at once. Serin = ¡°Excuse me, may I know what is going on here?¡± An adult elf in the end of the room answers my question. ??? = ¡°Forgive us for our lack of manner, young lady but I would suggest you to leave the village now.¡± His voice is full of authority and I felt that he is the village chief. Serin = ¡°I assume you are the village chief, Hendrik? I don¡¯t know what is going on but I am an expert-level mage.¡± Hendrik = ¡°I am sorry for my rudeness, mam. Yes, I am Hendrik. We have an epidemic going on here so I instructed to turn away any visitors.¡± Serin = ¡°Epidemic? I am no doctor but I am a herbalist. Let me see the sick, I might be able to help. Btw, you can call me Serin.¡± Hendrik = ¡°At the risk of getting infection? I am afraid we can¡¯t risk it Serin. An expert level mage is too precious.¡± Serin = ¡°Well, if it spreads out easily then I think everyone here is infected already. She is still very young, what if she caught the disease?¡± Serin = ¡°I can create a layer of water around me first before entering Eva. But how about you explain me the symptoms and the conditions of the patients?¡± Eva = ¡°A few days ago, the first patient fell sick. He is a woodcutter. His symptoms include loss of motor function, fever, and then losing his mind and he died yesterday. Not long after he fell sick, some other people also fall sick with similar symptoms. We are afraid that it is an epidemic so my husband want to enact a total lock out of the village.¡± Hendrik = ¡°We already dispatch a letter when the third victim fall sick but It might takes some time to get to the capital.¡± Serin = ¡°I see. Eva, I need you to describe to me the patients, their job, their eating habit and their symptoms.¡± To put it short, all the victims are the ones who have connection with the forest. Some of them were housewives who went out to find fruits in the forest. The rest are woodcutters, hunters and trappers. Some unlucky people also sick after they walk a stroll to the forest. In contrast none of the volunteers are sick. Serin = ¡°I don¡¯t think it is infectious. I think the cause lies with the forest. To be safe let me check with the patients.¡± I cast a water layer around my body and start to talk with the patients. The worst ones couldn¡¯t speak at all but some of the new patients describe the forest is strangely lack of wild animals. After checking their body, I assume it is some kind of poison but I am not sure what. We went out to talk with Hendrik who waits outside and dispel my water layer. Serin = ¡°Hendrik, I don¡¯t think it is an epidemic. It is more like a poisoning case. There must me something in the forest that cause the poisoning. You need to dispatch another messenger to inform the capital.¡± Hendrik = ¡°Are you sure Serin? We can¡¯t risk spreading the disease.¡± Serin = ¡°Yes, I am sure. None of the volunteers are sick.¡± Hendrik = ¡°Ok, I will do that.¡± Eva = ¡°Serin, since you are a herbalist. Can you make a cure for them?¡± Serin = ¡°I think I can if I can find out the source of the poison. We need to send people to the forest though and it will be dangerous.¡± Eva = ¡°I see. I can¡¯t ask something so dangerous from you.¡± Looking at Eva¡¯s dejected face I sigh inwardly. Serin = ¡°Ok. I will lead an expedition into the forest. I need volunteers and they all must wear thick clothes that cover everything and wear a wet face mask.¡± Eva = ¡°I can¡¯t ask you to do that.¡± Serin = ¡°That¡¯s ok. I want to do this. Beside, I will cast a layer of water around me to alert me if there is a change in the air.¡± Eva = ¡°In that case, I will volunteer too.¡± Smiling I really like this lady. Serin = ¡°Let us discuss this later. I think around 5-6 people will be enough. No need for too many people.¡± Surprisingly I got many volunteers. I pick the ones that are able to handle weapons. Hendrik, Octave, Josh, Tiny, and Albert are joining us. They would fight if there are wolves or other wild animals in the forest. Assuming the source of poison is a poisonous animal, we would avoid using magic unless we find the poison source. Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. By talking with the victims, we manage to get a rough idea where the source of poison might be. But since they didn¡¯t notice anything strange we still need to explore a large part of the forest. I spent a night in the inn and we set out to the forest in the morning. We will explore the forest until noon and then back to the village. I don¡¯t want to be catch off guard in the night. We are resting half an hour for every 2 hours travelling. I am restoring my mana by using mana potion every time we stop. Mana potion is quite expensive and only restores mana slowly per time. It is a basic rule for a magician to always keep their mana for dangerous situation. I kept casting water magic to detect impurities in the air so my mana is depleting quickly even if I only cast a simple water magic. Almost 4 hours of exploring I detect a sign of poison. Serin = ¡°Stop, there is a trace of poison in the air. We need to make camp first. I need to restore my mana first.¡± After gulping mana potion and standard antidote potion and resting a bit I am prepared to continue my journey. Serin = ¡°Hendrik, I need you to wait here. The poison is in the air and purifying the air cost me a lot of mana. I need to preserve my mana. You guys drink these antidotes; it will reduce the poison effect but not completely.¡± Hendrik = ¡°We are reluctant to let you go alone for our village but we understand. You would need every mana you have.¡± I nod at him and continue my journey to the center of poison. The closer I got to the source, the thicker is the poison in the air. Suddenly I can see a green fumes in the front and I realize the source is nearby. I just hope that the source is a plant not an animal. Cursing my luck, I can see a big red snake lying in the forest floor. I remember that this is one of the most poisonous snakes in the western continent, [the red death]. Observing the snake it seems that it is metamorphosing from juvenile to adult. I recall that sometimes, rarely though, a giant snake species is losing control of its poison when it is metamorphosing. Causing poisonous fumes for weeks until it finish its metamorphosis. I will try to kill it since the antidote is in the snake meat. I am confident to kill a juvenile [red death]. An adult one is very difficult to kill though. Since it is metamorphosing, I hope I still can kill it. Casting a ice spear silently I launch to the head of the snake. Hoping for an instant kill. The snake, by instinct or luck moves its head in the last minute and the spear only graze his head, causing it to scream and releasing more fumes. Its red eyes look to the direction of the spear and found me. Bad. It spit poison ball to me hoping to poison me to death. I quickly cast a water ball spell in the hope to absorb the poison to the water. Luckily it works. Surprise the snake opt to launch his head to me. I avoid the snake head and launch a small but numerous ice crystals [Ice Rain]. The snake avoids the crystals from hitting his vital area but some of them lodge into his body. Screaming a rage, it releases much bigger poisonous fumes around its body. Unable to see my enemy, I opt to drink my mana potion. What I see next makes me shudder. An adult [red death] comes out of the fumes. Bad, it has finished its metamorphosis. I am not sure that I can handle it anymore. Launching its body to me, I barely able to dodge it and cast another [Ice Rain]. I can feel I got poisoned, I need to push the poison out of my body before it is too late but it will takes time and the snake won¡¯t let me do that. Suddenly from the shadow comes out 5 people that hack the snake¡¯s body. Completely concentrated to me, it didn¡¯t manage to avoid the slash. Sadly the snake scale is very hard and the wound only serve to anger it further. Stupid people, why did the follow me? Now instead of just me, they will all die. Desperately trying to save the villagers, I cast another [Ice Rain]. I can feel the poison is slipping into my body. I am also angry to myself for being too proud of my skill and going without a backup or properly battle plan. When I am thinking that all six of us are doom a wind magic [wind crescent] is casted and took off the snake head. Relieved I quickly shout: Serin = ¡°Eat the meat, it contains antidote to the poison. We need to bring the meat to the village.¡± Serin = ¡°James, what are you doing here?¡± I shout to no one in particular. A dark elf with handsome young looking face comes out from the shadow. Despite his look, he is already 50 years old. Well, he is still young as an elf. We can reach more than 200 years. James = ¡°How do you know it is me?¡± Serin = ¡°Who else is a Master level mage that can cast a dark magic to avoid my detection and wind magic that can kill the [red death] easily.¡± James = ¡°Sorry my lady, your parent ask me to watch over you.¡± James is one of my parent¡¯s top-ranked spy. Mastering wind and dark magic, he is a very able spy. To send the guild¡¯s top ranked spy to watch over their daughter is an abuse of power¡­ Well, thanks to my parent I am still alive. Serin = ¡°Help us to bring the meat back; I also need to eat the meat. I have been poisoned.¡± James = ¡°You have been poisoned? I didn¡¯t see it. What should I say to your parent¡­¡± Serin = ¡°I casted a spell when I should concentrate to push out the poison. No need to fret, I won¡¯t tell my parent. Now help us to bring the meat back. You should help me purify the antidote. The villagers in the village have been poisoned for quite some time, the meat won¡¯t be enough to help them.¡± I eat the meat and we travel back to the village. Since we don¡¯t have time, we quickly spend the next week purifying the antidotes. The meat is able to postpone the severity of the poison but unable to cure them completely. Finally, we finished the purifying and luckily no one died anymore. Serin = ¡°Are you going to follow me to Althair?¡± James = ¡°Yes my lady. It is my job.¡± Serin = ¡°I can¡¯t say anything to convince you otherwise, right?¡± James = ¡°It is my job my lady.¡± Serin = ¡°Ok, you keep hiding. I don¡¯t want to be seen travelling with you.¡± James = ¡°Yes, my lady.¡± Serin = ¡°Also you may not tell anyone what happened when you are shadowing me before asking my permission first.¡± James = ¡°But I need to report everything to your parent my lady?¡± Serin = ¡°So you need to tell them that I was poisoned by an adult [red death]?¡± James = ¡°I understand. I have a mixed feeling of jealousy, sad, proud and awe to my pupil. Jealous to his talent. Sad that I realize that I am no genius at all (At least if compared to him). Proud to have him as my student. Awe to his learning speed. I am only worry about his non-element. Zephira assures me that it is theoretically possible but I never heard about a non-element before. Soon I realize that I really love my student like my own son and wish him the best. He also motivates me to be better. I have been lacking in my training due to my reputation of a genius. He, on the other hand, is diligently learning sword, archery, herbalist, scribing and magic despite being much better than his peers. I make a promise to go to adventure that challenge my limit once I have bring my student to Avalon It would be shame if I don¡¯t reach master level when my student reaches grandmaster level. A grandmaster in magic is very rare. There are less than 10 people in the whole world but I believe he is able to do it. He will be the youngest Grandmaster ever and I believe that he will be the best. Night time is always difficult for me¡­ I have an adult mind after all. Finally it is the day when our ship is scheduled to leave for Avalon. Once I regain my composure, I can see they are fox demons. One adult and one child. Both of them are females and very cute. The adult one has white furs while the child one has golden fur. After a while they look much better, the adult one talk to me: Yumiko = ¡°Thank you Bryson, my name is Yumiko and this is Himiko. We never travel by boat before so we have been suffering for all night. Forgive us but we would like to rest for now. I would thank you properly tomorrow for your wonderful medicine.¡± Me = ¡°No problem, I hope you get better. It seems she doesn¡¯t have a lot of friends and she is very happy to go to new places. Yumiko in the other hand seems sad at the prospect leaving her hometown for some time. She is himiko¡¯s guide and protector. It seems himiko is a princess from a demon fox kingdom. During the travel I pick up two skills, sailing and star navigation from observing the sailors and the captains but I don¡¯t think I will have much use of them since I don¡¯t like sailing. We are having the New Year on the boat. It is my first New Year without my family. I feel quite sad for that. The New Year dish, however, is very exceptional. We are eating fresh seafood, fishes, crabs, prawns, shellfishes, squids. Very delicious. It seems the ship¡¯s cook is very good. Plus the seafood is fresh from the ocean. Oh I got a gift from Serin. We arrive at Avalon after travelling about one month by boat. Avalon is incredible; it is by far the biggest city that I have visited. I don¡¯t know what city can compare it to in modern earth. Avalon capital is famous for the largest harbor in the world and if you see it by yourself it is bigger than some big harbor in modern earth. Compare to it, Venice(this world¡¯s venice) is like comparing a big city with a rural village. The Palace is located in the north district of the city is also awesome. The size of the palace itself might be bigger than Venice. Why do I always compare it to Venice? Well, I have never see a town beside Venice since I spent my entire life in my birth village, which is you know, a rural village. The biggest building in my village is our two-story house. The palace walls looks shining from far away. It just looks like a fairy tale castle with all the splendid and glory. I don¡¯t know what make it that way, magic or some special material perhaps or both. I don¡¯t think any building in modern age is as impressive as the palace. The central district is filled with big shops and embassies. The embassies here are not as impressive and special as earth embassy. They have neither special immunity nor extra territorial right but the diplomat is also considered immune to punishment from the local Kingdom (Avalon). Usually an unwanted diplomat is issued a letter similar to earth¡¯s persona non grata. The embassies are also usually small, just like a normal townhouse. Probably around 4 meter width? The different is that they have a foreign kingdom insignia in their door. The center district is also filled with different species. When you are at the city center, you will feel that you are in a wonderland. You can see elves (of course), human, fairy, ogres, dwarves, fox demons, angels, horned demons (red skin, similar to human but they have two horns), imps, tengu, wolfman, Eagleman, tigerman, even orcs! I never think I will see an orc in an elven territory but these group of orc have an aura of educated orcs (given they wear long robe and fancy hat). They might be merchant or diplomat. The shops are also impressive, the have specialize shops. The meathouse, the veggie house, the winehouse, the beerhouse, the swordspecialist, the spearspecialist, the heavy armor specialist, the leather armor specialist, the bowyer, the alchemist, the enchanter, etc. There are no guildhouse in the city center, I am informed that they belong in the east district. The School is impressive in its own way. The school takes the ENTIRE south district which is saying a lot since not even the palace take the entire northern district. In fact, the entrance of the school is located in the border of the central and south district. The school gates have a lot of doors and guards and ticket seller. Ticket seller? Yes, non-teacher and non-student need to buy tickets to enter unless we have appointment with people inside. I am told that the school is one of the Avalon attractions. Familiar people can buy tickets on spot but suspicious people will be rejected. Serin and Yumiko give a letter to the guard in the special line for people with appointments and we can enter the school district. It is incredibly stunning. In the middle of the district there is a big fountain with spirits (I assume they are spirit) playing in the fountain. By fountain I mean there are normal spiraling and changing water fountain, blazing fire fountain, moving earth fountain and another one that appear like a small tornado. On around it, there are light and darkness that is changing and alternating so the fountain will momentarily disappear from sight. I can¡¯t really describe the beauty by words but it is beautiful. I wonder how they make such an amazing show. There are also buildings with big shining element symbol in the wall, one for each element. I am told that these buildings are for college students. There are also building with sword symbol, bow symbol and fist symbol. These are for fighters. No spear? Well spear and lances are considered a soldier¡¯s weapon and the school for that is in the north district. The other unmarked buildings are for other purposes like dormitories, shops, and basic and intermediate classes (well actually they have marker but not as big and showy as the college buildings). We walk into one of the most impressive building, it also has a symbol but the symbol is Avalon Royal School Symbol which is shining and spinning. It has image of Blue dragon and Fiery Phoenix circling each other. We were stop by two mean looking guards. Serin and Yumiko have to show them the letter so we can enter the building. The building is for college professors and headmistress only. Me, Serin, Yumiko and Himiko are going together to the headmistress office. Oh yes, I forget to tell you that Zephira is the headmistress. Out of courtesy, we allow Yumiko and Himiko to meet Zephira first. The travel by sea took quite a bit of their stamina meanwhile me and Serin are still fresh. After waiting for one hour finally Yumiko and Himiko finish and after saying goodbye and telling me their dormitory number (female dormitory, room 735) and promising to see each other again, they depart to their room. Finally we are going to meet Zephira. Zephira = ¡°Oh if it isn¡¯t my favorite student and my future favorite student.¡± Serin = ¡°Hi Zephira, thank you for accepting Bryson to your school.¡± Zephira = ¡°Skip the formality, now tell me your development.¡± We spent a few hours telling her my development and demonstrating my magic capability. My roommate is Aditya, an earth dwarf, like all dwarf he is quite short. He has dark skin since he is an earth dwarf. A mountain dwarf has lighter skin. He is very quiet but seems a nice guy. He is 7 years old. His parent has a high position in the dwarven blacksmith guild. My other roommate is Li Zheng Cao. He is a human from Shang Kingdom. He is very talkative. He is also 7 years old and son of a prince in the Shang kingdom. His appearance is pretty much like earth Asian people. He is very friendly and talkative. Too much talkative in my opinion, I wonder if Aditya¡¯s quiet personality is due to his exposure to Cao''s constant talking. Oh, I should mention that despite their location (eastern and western continent), the human in this world is pretty much the same. There are dark skin, white skin, yellow skin, brown hair, blonde hair, black hair, etc. Pretty much the same like earth human and they are not limited to territory like on earth. In the Eastern continent, Arnizani continent, we have several big kingdoms and countless small kingdoms, principality and tribal societies. The big powers are: 1. Dwarven kingdom of Majajaya. The largest dwarven kingdom. They are living in the mountain of the north, in the border of the northern wilderness. 2. Dwarven kingdom of Suryalengka. Although the king is a dwarf but they have a lot of princes from other races. They have elves, humans, demons, even some beastman. They are well known as a loose kingdom. The king has little influence outside his personal province. This is Aditya¡¯s home kingdom. 3. Demon Kingdom of Frozen Islands in the north. Reputed as having the best sailors and fierce fighters. It is more like confederacy as the tribe heads are mostly independent. The king is rotated among the tribe head once every 2 years. 4. Elven Kingdom of Avalon which boasted the best school in the world though there are a lot who disagree with that. There is no doubt that Avalon Royal School is the best school in overall magic. Avalon territory is stretch thin in the western coast. The southern border is with orc plain and the northern border is with the wild north, vampire kingdom and werewolf domain. 5. Human Kingdom of Shang. They are a landlocked nation but they have rich ore resources. Their main export comes from mining. This is Cao¡¯s home kingdom. They are at war with The Twin Suns Kingdom. They have a dream of uniting the human kingdoms. No doubt that the ambition will not stop there though. 6. Human Khanate of the Twin Suns. Like Suryalengka, they have a mixture of races in their principality except the demon race. They are famous for their mounted archers and fast cavalry. Their king is called a Khan due to their extreme hatred of the Shang Kingdom; they invent a new title for their king. 7. Beastman Kingdom of Zoroaca. They are a secluded kingdom in the Far East. Little is known about them since their territory is a heavy rainforest and they don¡¯t exactly welcome strangers. 8. Orcish tribes of the south. Unlike the western orcs, they love to wage war among themselves. They dwell in the southern grassland and dessert. They are not a kingdom but no kingdom dare to encroach their natural territory since that usually unite the orcs against the invader and believe me that their number and prowess is not something to look down. Beside the 6 kingdoms, 1 khanate and 1 orcish territory there are a lot of small independent kingdom, principality and tribes. The most prominent of them are the vampire kingdom in the northern territory. Unlike the vampires stories in my previous world, here they breed and eat like other normal races. They also have sensitive skin and eyes that suffer under direct sunlight. They are usually far less strong in the daylight. The vampires have [pheromone] and [mesmerizing] skill. The [pheromone] skill is only effective to the opposite sex. A constant exposure to [pheromone] can make the target lose their sanity. This is the main reason why they are shunned by other races. [Mesmerizing] skill is used for hunting and escaping. The skill confuses the enemies for a short period that enable them to deliver a killing blow or escape from battle. This is the reason for the rumor of vampire¡¯s inhuman speed and bat or smoke transformation. Oh the vampires love bats, they just don''t transform into one. They usually keep them as pets much like our earth human keep dogs and cats as pets. They also have a special skill that enables them to regenerate by drinking fresh blood of their enemies. They also have a tendency to drink blood instead of water even though they can survive without drinking blood. Another reason to hate the vampires. Among the major races, only the elves and the beastman are tolerant to the vampires. The elves have higher sensitivity in hearing and smell that enables us to discern the vampire¡¯s pheromone and mesmerizing skill so they are not very effective to us (since we are aware that we are affected by it). The beastman have their own pheromone and highly resistant to the vampire¡¯s pheromone. Other races are hostile to the vampires and the feeling is mutual. There are a lot of histories of ¡°holy war¡± against the vampires. Some people even compare the vampire with the succubus which is a very grave insult to the vampires. The situation is calm though after the peace treaty between the vampires and the six great races was signed. Oh by the way, I gain skill [Adaptability] from cao¡¯s rumbling and [expert hand] from observing Aditya later on. Aditya has a hobby to make delicate dolls. I think he is the otaku of this world. He claims that it is good training for blacksmithing though. Today is my test day. I go to the headmistress room at 08.00 in the morning and knock the door. Zephira = ¡°Come in.¡± Me = ¡°Good morning Zephira.¡± Zephira = ¡°You are late.¡± I froze at that. Me = ¡°Isn¡¯t the school usually start at 08.00.¡± Zephira = ¡°It is but I didn¡¯t tell you what time to come today, right?¡± Browsing my memory I remember she didn¡¯t. Me = ¡°No, you didn¡¯t. The math test is started from something easy like calculation of triangle and circle. Later on it dwells on building size calculation and practical use which is something similar like accounting. I have no difficulties though since I am good at math back at earth. The other tests are basically a cake walk. Having read so many books I am easily answer the subject in the history, geography, politics, languages (elven and foreign), natural science, herbology, lores(something about the stories of the divines, stories of creations, etc), magic knowledge, etiquette and general knowledge which is much more than usual since basic school (age between 6-15) is usually only have mandatory basic math, basic magic knowledge, history, basic language and general knowledge. The other subjects are optional. She brought me a bento for lunch which is quite delicious. While I am doing my tests, she checked my finished answer. Oh yes, we usually eat 3-4 times a day depending on your habit. The night time in this world is varying between 8-12 hours per day depending on seasons and location. Finally she finishes correcting my tests. Zephira = ¡°That is impressive; you score perfectly for almost all of the subjects. There are a few mistakes in the natural science and general knowledge but overall you are very good.¡± Well that is just as expected since this world¡¯s science level is considerably lower level than my previous world¡¯s science. Perhaps because a lot of people are more interested in researching magic than science? In this world where magic and gods are real some natural events that can be explained by logic and science might be seen as magic or act of gods. Why I didn¡¯t score perfectly? I would guess that something might be different from earth or the mistakes are their mistake instead of mine. For example, they have knowledge in Avalon that the three moons are the three eyes of the moon goddess that move around to watch her subjects. No need to say that other countries have different theories. I guess she tries to decipher what makes me so special but I kept my reincarnation story to myself. At best I would be an object of worship, at worst they will make me a test subject. The dish is very delicious and very expensive! Our brunch cost around 1,5 gold for both of us. There is no tip in here; in exchange we have paid an inclusive 10% tips for the waiter. Now usually a normal dish in the tavern in avalon will cost around 15-25 copper. A monthly wage is around 50-60 silver per month. 1 gold is 100 silver. 1 Silver is 100 copper. So I just ate more than a month¡¯s worth of wage. That makes me want to learn how to cook better. I might be able to make a living a chef in this world. All those masterchef show in the previous world has made me interested in cooking though I only cooked simple dishes before on earth. Zephira kindly introduce me to Santoso, the dwarven head chef. He is a very nice guy and he will allow me to watch and practice in a corner in his kitchen. In exchange I will help washing dishes and cutting vegetables. Zephira kindly spent the rest of the day to show me around the school. We separated after she treats me for dinner. Me = ¡°My name is Bryson Master Joanne and I have a letter for you.¡± I said while handing her the letter. She reads the letter and pale slightly. Then she looks at me with pity in her eyes. This is not good, I have a bad premonition. Me = ¡°Is there something wrong Master Joanne?¡± Joanne = ¡°Well, I think there is but you will see by yourself. Come follow me.¡± Joanne = ¡°Job, you can leave us now.¡± I am following Master Joanne to the back of the dojo and we exit from the back door. I can see someone having a nap in the back yard and I guess that he is Suma Han. Joanne = ¡°Sorry to disturb you master but this kid bring a letter from headmistress.¡± To put it shortly, Suma Han is very different than my imagination. What I see is a fat person with funny face lying down basking in the sun in the back yard. His face remind me of a good easy going uncle but he has a presence that scream ¡°dangerous¡± to all of my body. He has Asian features in his face but his skin tone is more like Middle Eastern earth human. Suma Han = ¡°Ho, she brings me another vic¡­ I mean pupil. Good, good, I have been getting bored. Give me the letter kid.¡± The pressure increases all around me. All of my instinct screams to me to run away from this master but I know that I won¡¯t be able to escape so I freeze. Suma Han = ¡°Ho, sorry about it boy, I get too excited.¡± With that the pressure subsides immediately and I found out how close I am from fainting. Later I find out he really tried to make me fainted. But for now I no longer find him intimidating although I know better. Me = ¡°I have a letter to you master Suma.¡± I handed down the letter and he grins wide while he reads it. Now, if I don¡¯t know the letter concerning me I would find his face hilarious but now I can only feel dread from his smile. Suma Han = ¡°Ok boy, no need to worry. I will train to personally. You need to skip classes for the beginner and sleep in the dojo but I can see that Zephira already take care of that.¡± At that, the elf beside me pales noticeably. Joanne = ¡°Master Suma, isn¡¯t he a little bit too young to train under you?¡± Suma Han = ¡°Nonsense, he is recommended by Zephira. I am sure he will survi¡­ I mean follow my teaching.¡± I REALLY REALLY have a bad premonition but I know I can¡¯t escape from this fat smiling demon. I strip and he explains all of my muscles, the use, how to train them and how to control everything. Everything! A good martial artist must know himself well. To put it short, I have 6 months of hellish training, I won¡¯t write down what happened back then since I still have a trauma of the experience. I think I survive only because my restoration from my Goddess of the star blessing. I can assure you nothing sexual happened and I kept my chastity but it involves a lot of screaming, crying, begging, fainting, etc. Oh, there are a lot of thing that might classify as sexual harassment although he did it purely to teach me about muscle. I also lost my sword mastery and archery, being absorbed into weapon mastery. I couldn¡¯t practice my other skill during my training except meditation and mana perception so naturally my other skills don¡¯t increase at all. I also go a peculiar skill, massage since Master Suma think that understanding muscle is best done while massaging. I personally think he just like massage. He is quite big after all. Suma Han = ¡°Well boy, congratulation. You are the fastest vic.. I mean pupil that finish my basic training. You are also the 99th pupil to finish it until this stage in my entire life. Usually it takes 2-3 years before they manage to complete the basic training.¡± I shudder at that. Basic training? I should avoid his advance course then. I don¡¯t think I can last for 2 or 3 years of this hellish training. Thanks for Genius Mind and my understanding of biology and the goddess of the stars otherwise I wouldn¡¯t survive. Nevertheless I bow my head and give him my thanks. I gained 11 skills after all from his teaching. Suma Han = ¡°You need to come to the dojo every morning to complete your training in a few years. You need to hone your skill. Use this dojo to practice and feel free to spar with other students. I still have few things to teach you when you are more mature. You wouldn¡¯t survive otherwise.¡± Me = ¡°Yes master, I would be sure to do that.¡± Suma Han = ¡°Come back to me after you reach advance level in martial art then we will enter the next phase.¡± Me = ¡°Um, I must do that master?¡± Suma Han = ¡°Can you repeat that? It seems my old age has started to affect my hearing.¡± Needless to say I don¡¯t believe the ¡°old age¡± excuse. I quickly says: Me = ¡°I meant to say yes, Master.¡± With that my first hellish training is over. I never tell anyone my experience in that. Just preferably to mention personal training if anybody ask. At the end of the training, I increase my stat quite a lot:

To increase such a lot of stats from just 6 months, as expected from hellish training. When I go back to the dorm, Cao barrages me with questions; even Aditya is asking a lot. I guess missing for 6 months must kindle their curiosity. Me = ¡°Hold on. Hold on. I will explain but one by one, ok?¡± With that they kept quiet. Me = "Promise me to keep it a secret." They both nod at that. I inhale and wish I can trust them not to spill the beans everywhere. Me = ¡°I have been training with master Suma for the past 6 months. Sorry I didn¡¯t inform you before but I had no idea I would be staying at the dojo.¡± Gasping at me, both of them say at the same time. ¡°Master Suma? Surely you don¡¯t mention GrandMaster Suma Han.¡± Apparently he is very famous. Me = ¡°Yes, he is. He is one of my idol¡± I made a mental note to check on the library the day after tomorrow after morning practice in the dojo. Obviously there are still a lot of things I don¡¯t know yet. I can leave a message for her in the elven mage guild if something important comes up. However, it might take a long time for her to come in contact to any elven mage guild. I pray that she is successful in her journey. Another letter is from my parent asking for my condition. Serin already sends them a letter informing that we have arrived safely in Avalon but I completely forget to send a letter to them. To my defend, I have never write a letter in earth so it completely slips my mind. I made a note in my mind to write a constant letters to home. I think i better start writing diary in english so i don''t forget things. The next day I spent with Yumiko and Himiko, they went wide eyes at the name of Suma Han. It seems he is very famous. Himiko already have a high popularity in the school due to her cuteness and her talent in fire magic. I can feel the eyes from other children when I walk with Himiko. Later I found out that it seems she has a big fan group already, ¡°The Golden Fox Fan Group¡±, the members are now mostly girls who loves her fur and cute look. That would change in a few years but that tales is for later.
