《Odin, the fallen god》 Chapter 1 - The Rebirth There were thousands upon thousands of corpses on the ground. He was the only one alive amongst them. How come he was the only one who was still alive? He didn¡¯t know himself. But the one thing he did know, was the fact that he was going to die in a few moments. His heart was pierced multiple times, so that much was obvious. Actually, he wasn¡¯t too surprised at the fact that he was still alive. He was a god after all. Even if he could die from wounds like a normal man, it would shame the immortal family if he died from a single stab. His breath started to get more ragged, and he convulsed in pain. It was almost time for him to go. He only had a few minutes left¡ He tightly gripped his broken spear, bracing himself for his death. As the king of the gods, he refused to die like a helpless fool. No, he was going to die like a warrior, being the god of battle he was. In the distance, he saw someone walk towards him. Who was the man? There should be no one alive here right now¡ was he an ally? An enemy? The man who approached him wore a white robe, and didn¡¯t seem to have anything on himself. But looks could be deceiving, he knew. He tried to lift the spear, but then grunted in pain, and let go. Was the spear that heavy before? Or was he just losing strength? After a while, he gave up. According to his calculations, he was going to die in about a minute. There was no point in trying to fight the man. The man in white loomed over him. What was the man¡¯s purpose? The man in question opened his mouth, and spoke for the first time: ¡°It is not time for you to die yet. Ragnarok is not over.¡± That was the last thing he, Odin, remembered before he lost consciousness¡ - Strangely, the place Odin woke up in was the place where he lay, dying. He seemed to be restored to his full condition, and the fortress of the gods retained all its former glory. It was chipped in some places, as if it was abandoned for thousands of years, but it was still in much better condition than the fortress he saw last. What was going on? He could only speculate that this had something to do with that robed man. He had better gather information¡ He wanted to know what was happening, so that he could at least form a hypothesis about what was happening. ¡°Hugin! Munin!¡± Odin shouted at the top of his lungs. Yet, nothing came. What the hell was keeping those things?! No matter, he had better do this himself. Odin walked up to his throne. Strange, was the throne always this big? Meh, another mystery to solve at another time. Odin climbed up the throne. His throne, Hlidskjalf, had the ability to let the one using it be able to see everything in the world. Using this, Odin began observing the people, in order to gain some information about them. Odin began his observations by preying his eyes unto villages. Villages contained little information, but it was the first settlement he found, so why not. He began his research by going inside the tavern. Taverns were usually where rumours and information gathered. And therefore, yielded impressive results. Odin ¡°sat¡± his ¡°eyes¡± on the middle of the room, and started listening. He made some impressive discoveries in only an hour. And it was shocking. Well, not really. Basically, Odin found out that he was trapped in a fake reality, also known as ¡°Virtual Reality¡± or ¡°VRMMO¡± by the ¡°adventurers¡± of the world. After listening some more, he concluded that his mind was separated from the body, and was put here, in this world. Of course, Odin didn¡¯t know if this was a lie or not. So he decided to see for himself. If this was indeed a fake world, there should be something wrong, or something that seems unnatural at least, right? Odin sharpened his senses to the limit, and by doing so, saw some changes in the world. It seemed slightly out of place. The colour of the stone¡ the sun¡ the wood¡ the monsters¡ the humans¡ they all seemed to be drawn, or painted. This was enough to persuade Odin. He was in a fake world, created by humans. - Odin climbed off his throne. What should he do? ¡®Let¡¯s just see how my stats are.¡¯ he thought. ¡°Open stat window.¡± immediately, a blue screen appeared before him. Odin was astounded. Just how far had humans advanced to get this far? Last time he saw them, they couldn¡¯t even make a book float¡ and here they were, generating some blue screen of energy in front of your face in an instant. Human technology astounded him¡ Anyway, his stats were the following:

Hahaha!¡± Whilst Odin tried to act positive, one could see tears were welling up in his eyes. A former god of battle reduced to such a state¡ It was a pitiful sight. "Haah... can''t be helped. Lets move onto skills. Show skills window."

¡°Hmm¡ So I just have one skill right now. A pity. I could¡¯ve used more. At least I can still use Gungnir. I wouldn¡¯t know what to do without the thing.¡± What would he do next? He had done everything in his to-do list. Were there any other tasks that needed to be done? Ah, he should go check if others were still alive. Surely he wasn¡¯t the only one here. Thinking that, he exited the Throne room. Odin entered the grand hallway. I mean, he entered what used to be the grand hallway. What was once a giant hall, decorated in gold and silver, was now a rotting hole. The hallway was built inside the world tree, so it didn¡¯t take Odin much time to discover that the world tree was rotting. Odin checked all the rooms where each of the gods used to live in. Surely at least one of them should be there. Unfortunately, there was no one in the castle. Not even Hugin and Munin. Realising that he was alone in this world, Odin stumbled into what used to be his room. ¡°Damn it!¡± Upon entering his room, Odin struck the ground as hard as he could. Other than the fact that it almost broke his hands, it did nothing. The king of the gods was alone. That was a huge shock for him. But Odin wasn¡¯t going to let something like that to hinder him¡ he was still going to find a way to survive. Even if he was alone, and was hated by all. Suddenly Odin had a thought. What if, just what if, some of his comrades were out there? Odin made many friends in his life, and at least one of them was bound to be alive. Odin decided he would go look for them. But before that, he had one more thing to check. According to the ¡°adventurers¡± the world could alter your appearance. If Odin looked different form what he was before¡ª that is, an old man, he was sure none of his friends would recognise him. Odin reached out for a mirror. ¡®Lets see if I¡¯m still a beefy old man¡¯ he thought. Odin gripped the mirror that his wife used to use, and took a look at his face. What he found there was a¡ªtrap. At first, Odin was sure that he was a girl. He looked down. Ok. He was still a man. Odin braced himself, and once again looked into the mirror. A boy, fair-skinned, with chestnut hair stared back at Odin. His complexion, combined with his weak, frail body(from the curse) could easily make anyone mistake him for a girl. Especially since his hair was¡ let¡¯s go with ¡°not short¡±. The only thing that gave away the fact that this was Odin was the eyepatch Odin wore on his eye. Well, nothing he could do about it. He just had to live with it, he supposed. With that, he exited the room. It was about time he left the fortress. Especially since the world tree was now rotting¡ he didn¡¯t know how long it would last, but one thing he was sure about was the fact that it was going to collapse soon. He had to leave. Fast. Odin opened the door at the other end of the grand hallway. The gate that led to the Bifrost¡ the legendary rainbow bridge. When he opened the door, Odin found a slime. It was one of those monsters that the gods took pity on, since it was so weak. Odin decided to kill it. It would let him get a little stronger¡ probably. He wasn¡¯t sure, since even a simple punch could destroy the simple creature.
SlimeLevel 0
The weakest creature! It is found only in Asgard, as the adventurers made them go extinct.
Odin punched the slime as hard as he could. The slime hardened on contact, and Odin broke his hands. ¡°What the¡¡± Was he seriously weaker than a slime? A SLIME?! Odin was enraged. ¡°GUNGNIR!¡± Odin shouted at the top of his lungs. ¡And nothing came out. Odin frantically looked around. What the heck? He could feel himself get a little stronger. But he couldn¡¯t see the summoned spear. ¡°Ouch.¡± Something pricked his hand. He opened it, and found a toothpick¡ actually, it was his spear. ¡°A¡haha.. this isn¡¯t funny, you know¡¡± The slime crashed into him. Odin was sent flying, and he crashed onto a wall.
You are dying! You may restore yourself by drinking a potion, or get healed by a cleric.
You are Paralysed! Unable to move for 1 minute.
The slime was moving towards Odin. Odin couldn¡¯t do anything, except watch. ¡°Damn it¡ first it¡¯s Fenrir, and now it¡¯s a stupid slime¡¡± The slime loomed over him. Shoot. He really didn¡¯t want to be killed by a slime. The slime started to cover his body. Was it trying to drown him or something? Whatever, he didn¡¯t even care any more. His health was ticking down rapidly¡ And his body was getting absorbed by the slime. But before it could actually do so, Odin disappeared. Next chapter Chapter 2 - Getting Stronger, 1 Book at a Time Odin found himself lying down on a black stone shrine. The whole place was dimly lit, just enough for a person to see. It was overflowing with dark energy, enough to destroy a city if mishandled. Ding!
You have been summoned by the dark priests! You are now the patron god of the Dark Dwarf Shrine[/td2]
Ding!
You are now aligned with darkness! Due to becoming a corrupt god, your resistance to darkness rises by 10%! Your resistance to light decreases by 10%!
¡°¡Great. First I almost get killed by a slime, and now I¡¯m a patron of those cheeky dwarves. Dark dwarves at that. Darn. I¡¯d rather die than live like this.¡± Odin looked around the room, trying to get himself a bit more oriented. There was a hallway leading somewhere outside. He could confirm this, thanks to the occasional wind. A candle lit in the middle of the room provided some light for him. Odin heard some sounds come from the hallway. Someone was coming. Well, not just one guy. Whoever it was, he had company. Odin decided against hiding from them. He knew too little about this world. Even if he had to risk dying¡ there was really no choice. As the group came closer to the room, he could start making out their conversation. ¡°I¡¯m telling you, you probably just saw an illusion. The gods disappeared a hundred years ago, you know¡± - ??? ¡°No! You have to believe me! He took the form of a young boy, but it was him! His eyepatch and the spear proves it!¡± - ??? ¡°Are you seriously calling that toothpick a spear?¡± - ??? 2 people entered the room. They were both clad in a black cloak, decorated with gold thread. Whoever these 2 were, they obviously weren¡¯t commoners. The one on the right stared at Odin in shock. The other just grinned. ¡°Ah, you¡¯re finally awake.¡± The man on the right regained his senses. ¡°WeedKiller! What the hell have you done?! Summoning an SSSS-rank monster like that!¡± The person pointed at Odin, and Odin could see the man¡¯s eyes were filled with hatred and fear. ¡°Shut up, Valthorn. I saw this guy get owned by a level 0 slime. I¡¯m not going to believe you when you say he¡¯s a SSSS-rank.¡± The two people argued like that for several minutes. The man on the right eventually gave up, and left. The one on the left kept staring at Odin, grinning like an idiot. It left Odin with an unsettling feeling. ¡°I guess I can start talking by now¡ here¡¯s a question. Who are you?¡± Odin asked. He had an idea of who the man was, but he didn¡¯t want to jump to conclusions. ¡°Ah. I didn¡¯t introduce myself yet, huh. I am WeedKiller, a dark priest. As for why I don¡¯t hate you¡¡± ¡°mm. You don¡¯t need to tell me that. From your strange name and carelessness, I can see that you are an adventurer.¡± Hearing that, the man burst into a fit of laughter. This guy really reminded Odin of Loki. It left a bitter taste in his mouth. After the man calmed down, Odin began questioning him. ¡°Why did you summon me?¡± The man frowned. Did Odin just touch a sensitive subject? The man opened his mouth, thought against it, and closed it. And then the man took a seat. That¡¯s when he started to explaining everything. ¡°As you might know, the world used to be inhabited with multiple gods, from different myths. Hindu gods, Greek gods, Nordic gods, Angels, Demons, you name it, this world had it. The world was also divided into 2 parts. One side was aligned with darkness, and the other was aligned with light. Now, these two sides sought to destroy each other. The gods and monsters from various myths began taking sides. Most gods from myths aligned with light. Most monsters, went with darkness. It was basically monsters vs gods. Although the gods were strong, we held our own with massive numbers of monsters. Damned things would bear 5 children every day. Anyways, all was fine until everything that came from Nordic mythology disappeared. At first, when you look at it, it didn''t seem like much. A few gods disappeared in exchange for monsters associated with them. But here''s the thing. 30% of the monsters in our army came from Nordic mythology. Now why did those goddamned developers have to erase them... Our forces were severely weakened. We couldn¡¯t fight against the gods anymore. We started to get pushed back. So I began searching for a god that could help us. Namely, you.¡± - WeedKiller The man grinned again, and Odin was confused. Why summon him, when he couldn¡¯t even defeat a slime? There had to be some benefit hidden somewhere¡ The man answered Odin¡¯s question before he could even ask it. ¡°We summoned you because of 3 reasons. First off, you are a god. Gods grant their worshippers power. Right now, we only have weak gods on our side. They only give minor buffs like ¡®Tailoring skill +1¡¯. We don¡¯t really need that in war, unless we¡¯re trying to make peace with dresses. You, on the other hand, give us a huge buff, called [Valor of the Fallen]. The skill lets a priest reincarnate up to 5 comrades as vikings, for a period of 1 hour. Of course, the skill has a huge cooldown of 1 week, but it¡¯s still super OP. The second reason is because of your weapon. While you were unconscious, I tried using it. Damn toothpick can punch holes through just about anything. Of course, it¡¯s not very usable. But if we make it stronger¡ fufufufufu (Dark laugh) fu¡ The last reason I summoned you was, simply, no choice. I had no choice. There were no gods I could summon. In order to summon a god, you have to meet one of these 2 conditions: A god has to be aligned to your side, or he must be fallen. You were the only fallen god in the list, and all the other gods already took sides, so¡ yea.¡± - WeedKiller ¡°So how are you planning to make me stronger? I can¡¯t even defeat a level 0 monster, you know.¡± - Odin The man¡¯s ideas were good, but it wouldn¡¯t do him any good if Odin didn¡¯t get stronger. If he tried to take on quests, the NPCs would be able to see his name, which would mean that he''d be exposed. ¡°Well, I thought I might take you to the library or something¡ Reading books give you experience, you know? Let me take a look at your stats. I can judge how much experience you can gain from reading based on your intelligence.¡± - WeedKiller ¡°Alright. Show stats, WeedKiller.¡± - Odin

We¡¯re screwed. You¡¯d have to read the whole library just for 1 level.¡± - WeedKiller Author¡¯s note: In the game, 10000 infamy equals -1 infamy. So Odin right now has 4,000,000 infamy. Odin didn¡¯t care. As long as he got stronger, he was willing to read a library. ¡°Take me to the library. I will read.¡± Thankfully, only the priests were able to identify Odin in the city, as priests could see the name tags of gods. So as long as he didn¡¯t stumble into a priest, Odin was safe from being recognised. WeedKiller dropped Odin at the library the next morning, and went back to the temple. He promised to pick up Odin when it became time for the library to close¡ª meaning Odin had about 12 hours. Odin strolled in from the main entrance, and walked up to the librarian. ¡°Excuse me, I am unable to read. Is there a place where I could learn how?¡± This world had a different language set compared to what Odin was familiar with, meaning as of now, he was illiterate. ¡°You can go to the children¡¯s section. They have books that teach you the alphabets. The children¡¯s section is located to your left.¡± Odin found a book that had the letters ¡®A, B, C¡¯. Hopefully this was it. Odin pulled it out, and almost dropped it. The book was heavy! He lifted it again, groaning in pain. Were these books made out of lead or something? Odin slowly walked towards the table. Halfway there, he collapsed. Ding!

He immediately jumped up, and ran towards the ABC book. He couldn¡¯t afford to have his book stolen again. The book was 50 meters away from where he was. He was confident that he could reach the book in time. But¡ Ding!

Odin woke up, but this time in the ruins of Asgard. He saw that his wound was healed. And in front of him was the white man. ¡°Who are you?¡± Odin asked. ¡°I¡ am Jesus of the 5th Universe.¡± Who the heck is Jesus? And what the hell is this universe thing? Odin¡¯s brain started generating questions. Before he could output it, the Jesus person answered. ¡°I see. It seems that you have never visited a Universe apart from your own. I would have to explain everything, huh.¡° Odin was just blankly staring at the guy. ¡°How do I start¡ Oh, this will do. You see, there are an infinite number of universes. And each universe is governed by a god/gods from a religion. This Universe is governed by you, or Nordic mythology. My universe is governed by my father, god. And our neighbouring universe, is governed by this god of heavy metal¡ or something. You get the gist of it?¡± Odin was even more confused than the time when he¡ nevermind. Better to not think of that incident. The Jesus person continued talking. ¡°Haah¡ I can tell that you¡¯re still confused. Whatever. Just think of me as a person from a different world. That¡¯s what I basically am, anyways.¡± Odin¡¯s face brightened immediately. ¡°That¡¯s better! But I still have questions.¡± ¡°I know. You want me to tell you about the place you were at, yes?¡± Odin nodded eagerly, wanting to know. ¡°I sent you inside a game that humans made in my world, so that I could heal you. I can¡¯t have you conscious while I heal people in this world. Plus, you have a job to do in that world.¡± ¡°A job? In order to reverse this, you¡¯ll have to recreate the ¡®Norse code¡¯ which was erased by the developers who got tricked by Loki.¡± ¡°How the hell does changing one thing in a video game trigger a world war?¡± ¡°I dunno. Ask Loki, I guess.¡± Their conversation continued deep into the night. When it became morning again, it was time for Odin to get back into the game. ¡°Well, see you, I suppose.¡± Odin told Jesus. Haah¡ he didn¡¯t want to be a weak child again¡ but he had to. Jesus just nodded at him. It was his way of saying goodbye. Well, that¡¯s what Odin presumed, at least. Jesus waved his hands. Odin blacked out. Logging into ¡°Unnamed¡±¡ Previous Chapter || Next Chapter Chapter 4 - (Brutal) Murder Odin woke up in a cold, dark place. He could barely move his body. Soil? It seemed that Odin was buried. He tried to move, but the soil barely shook. His strength wasn¡¯t sufficient when it came to digging his body out. For now, he tried to get out by moving as much as he could. The soil shook violently. WeedKiller was on a quest to kill undead zombies in the graveyard. It was a D level quest, so at his level, it wasn¡¯t that hard¡ if he wasn¡¯t a priest. Unfortunately, being a priest, and a dark one at that, severely debuffed him when he fought monsters aligned with darkness. The villagers who gave him the task were also reluctant about it¡ but even if the zombies were on their side, they had to be exterminated, as the zombies attacked those who visited the graves. Ugh, why did the developers have to make this so realistic? The guts are spilling out with some green fluid¡ disgusting. WeedKiller thought this as he stabbed another zombie that was approaching him. A good 20 minutes passed since WeedKiller killed his last zombie¡ He still had one more to go. The zombies began appearing less frequently now that WeedKiller exterminated most of them. The grave he was sitting on suddenly shifted. ¡°Hm?¡± WeedKiller was surprised by this. Were zombies spawning out of graves now? Or was it a area boss? Thinking this, WeedKiller¡¯s surprise immediately changed into joy. The loot that he would gain from this would be quite profitable¡ WeedKiller examined the grave. Indeed. Something was trying to escape. The soil kept shaking, after all. Seeing this as a chance, WeedKiller stabbed repeatedly into the ground. He wasn¡¯t about to let the boss get out just like that. He was going to weaken it first. What WeedKiller expected was green fluids seeping through the soil. Instead, he found blood. ¡°Eh? A human?¡± WeedKiller was immediately assaulted with messages. And none of them did him any good. ¡°Pretty good.¡± Odin nodded to himself while saying it. In a span of 3 weeks, Odin grew significantly. Of course, this was based on Odin¡¯s standards¡ If he was a normal adventurer, he would be level 50 already, based on the playtime. Odin didn¡¯t bother look at his skills. He didn¡¯t gain any skills, and Gungnir was still at beginner level one. No matter how much he used it, it refused to level up¡ was there a requirement that had to be fulfilled? ¡°It probably has to do with mana¡¡± Odin muttered to himself. And he once again recalled his attempt at using actual magic. His mana was ridiculously low. When he tried to use the spell ¡®magic missile¡¯, it made him exhaust his mana, and he fainted from it. ¡°Well, it¡¯s not like I had much magic power from the beginning, anyways¡¡± Of course, Odin was a god of battle, not magic. Unlike Thor or Loki, who both used magic extensively, he mostly relied on his strength alone. ¡°Alright, time to hunt.¡± Odin exited the castle. He was going to have his revenge on slimes. Oh, we¡¯re going to have sooo much fun together¡ After walking for 2 minutes, Odin encountered his first slime. Although he had strength, Odin couldn¡¯t punch the slime, due to his low endurance. So Odin summoned his toothpick. No, wait. Gungnir. He summoned his Gungnir. The moment he did so, a new message popped up. One he never saw before. Ding!

Odin¡¯s toot¡Gungnir got 4 times bigger, and Odin felt his body strengthening. ¡°Now this is what I¡¯m talking about.¡± Odin rushed at the slime, and struck it with his spear. The slime¡¯s backside exploded, and it¡¯s fluids were flung back several hundred meters. When Odin tried to look for loot, he found it shattered to pieces. The Gungnir¡ was too strong. Odin eradicated all the slimes in the city. He was skipping by the end, with a huge grin on his face. He levelled up 3 times, and his stats rose significantly. Everything except endurance was on par with a level 4 warrior. Odin decided to check his stats. But before he could do so¡ª Ding!
All the slimes in this world has been exterminated! Great Slime King (Level 120) has awakened! (Asgard)
The ground started shaking. The castle started to crumble. Odin could see a massive slime trying to free itself from the dying castle. Real World, ???? Company ¡°Sir! Sir! It¡¯s an emergency! You HAVE to see this! It¡¯s the Norse Code!¡± Jacob ambushed his boss. He knew that his boss started avoiding him as much as possible since "that" incident, there was no choice to catch him off guard. ¡°Jacob? What did I say I¡¯d do to you if you mentioned the Norse Code in front of me again?¡± Jacob''s boss responded with an angry look. The man found Jacob annoying. Honestly speaking, he found all mankind annoying. Jacob just happened to be the worst out of all of them. ¡°But sir, a fragment of the item ¡®Gungnir¡¯ came out.¡± This caught the boss''s attention. ¡°Oh god¡ Where?¡± ¡°It¡¯s inside the Great King Slime, in Asgard.¡± Of course, Jacob was referring to the slime that was released thanks to Odin. ¡°I thought a ''Great King'' class boss was supposed to be released when a monster went extinct?¡± "We''ve discovered that the slimes that inhabited Asgard were wiped out. But we couldn''t find anyone in the city... We believe it was done by a hostile monster." "Darn... every user in the world should''ve learnt of the ''Great King'' in Asgard, and now they know about Asgard... How are we going to solve this... Why did we leave Asgard be, anyways? Hell, why didn''t we just delete the Norse Code for good?" ¡°The main AI refused to delete it, sir.¡± "Damn it... it must be the AI, then. Of course it''s the AI. It''s releasing the Norse Code piece by piece." "Find a way to stop that AI before it releases the whole code!" If the public got hold of the secrets within the Norse Code... The company would be in big trouble. ¡°Yes sir!¡± ¡°And about that Slime¡ just leave it be. There¡¯s no way the monster would be able to escape Asgard, and no one should be able to get into Asgard.¡± There was no point in slaying it. The monster was strong enough, and Asgard itself was an impenetrable fortress. There was no way that a normal adventurer would be able to breach Asgard, and destroy a level 120 monster. ¡°Yes sir!¡± ¡°Stop calling me sir.¡± Previous Chapter || Next Chapter Ver fregna Aesir Ok. So lots of people got confused by... well, lots of things. Your confused responses like "Loki was Odin''s brother? Ahhh the mind fuck is too much" lead me to confirm my sources. So I searched the web for a while. So lets sit down, and learn mythology. Although there''s a lot of stories involving Loki, his relationship with Odin is unclear... Is he Odin''s brother? Adopted son? Sex slave? No one knows, as there are multiple claims... But lets use Wikipedia as the foundation. In Norse mythology, Loki (/?lo?ki/), Loptr, or Hveerungr is a god or j?tunn (or both). Loki is the son of F¨¢rbauti and Laufey, and the brother of Helblindi and Byleistr. By the j?tunn Angrboea, Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent J?rmungandr. By his wife Sigyn, Loki is the father of Narfi and/or Nari. By the stallion Svaeilfari, Loki is the mother¡ªgiving birth in the form of a mare¡ªto the eight-legged horse Sleipnir. So... let''s clear things up a bit. I''m only going to explain the potentially confusing parts. By the j?tunn Angrboea, Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent J?rmungandr. Loki fucked a giant and became the father of: Hel, the evil female version of Hades, Fenrir, the strongest wolf in existence, and Jormungandr, a serpent that encompasses the globe. By his wife Sigyn, Loki is the father of Narfi and/or Nari. Narfi and/or Nari is a HUMANOID god. It''s a pain to explain who they actually are, so here''s the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narfi_and_Nari By the stallion Svaeilfari, Loki is the mother¡ªgiving birth in the form of a mare¡ªto the eight-legged horse Sleipnir. Loki got fucked by a horse, and gave birth... to Sleipnir! This 8-legged horse is the warhorse of Odin. And please don''t ask me why Loki willingly got fucked by a horse. Please. I said that Loki was supposed to be Odin''s blood brother-- it was caused by this. Three versions of the myth (translated) show Loki bound to Odin by blood. Original: "Mantu tat, ¨®einn, er vit ¨ª ¨¢rdaga blendum bl¨®ei saman? ?lvi bergja l¨¦zktu eigi mundu, nema okkr v?ri b¨¢eum borit." Translation 1: (Auden and Taylor) "Remember, Odin, in the olden days What blood-brothers we were: You would never have dreamed of drinking ale Unless it was brought for us both." Translation 2: (Thorpe) You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story."Odin! dost thou remember when we in early days blended our blood together? When to taste beer thou didst constantly refuse, unless to both ¡ätwas offered?" Translation 3: (Bellow) "Remember, Othin, | in olden days That we both our blood have mixed; Then didst thou promise | no ale to pour, Unless it were brought for us both." The original mythology never actually mentioned that Loki was Odin''s blood brother. With that in mind, let''s move onto Odin. Here''s an excerpt from Wikipedia "Odin" is generally accepted as the modern English form of the name, although, in some cases, older forms may be used or preferred. His name is related to ¨®er, meaning "fury, excitation", besides "mind" or "poetry". His role, like that of many of the Norse gods, is complex. Odin is a principal member of the ?sir (the major group of the Norse pantheon) and is associated with war, battle, victory and death, but also wisdom, Shamanism, magic, poetry, prophecy, and the hunt. Odin has many sons, the most famous of whom is the thunder god Thor. There. That should explain everything quite well. You probably don''t even need help. Now, for his weapon. Gungnir is a weapon forged by the dwarves. Unlike Mjollnir, Thor''s hammer, the Gungnir has no visual effects. It doesn''t shoot off lightning. It isn''t burning hot. It doesn''t make the user fly. So what can it do? Well, here are several descriptions of the spear, that I found in several websites. It''s Odin''s magical spear that always hits its mark and always kills. Gungnir means ¡°Swaying one¡± it is made from Yggdrasils Sacred ash. Odin has also written his magic runes, onto Gungnir. - See more at: http://www.viking-mythology.com/items.php#sthash.ZUgmdIPJ.dpuf The spear was fashioned by the dwarfs known as the Sons of Ivaldi under the mastery of the blacksmith dwarf Dvalin. The spear was obtained from the dwarfs by Loki, the result of a scheme he concocted as a partial reparation for his cutting of the goddess Sif''s hair. The spear is described as being so well balanced that it could strike any target, no matter the skill or strength of the wielder. - Wikipedia I hope that helped. More information will be released, as new characters come out with their own respective story. New chapter will be released 1 day late. I have... things to deal with.
