January 17th, 2083. The sun had begun to set as dusk came forth. While the night is full of silence and happy dreams for most, one house within the Horishima prefecture is full of sorrow. Looking closer to the rural run-down house which many would believe to be abandoned, a small child presumably an elementary student was crying in the darkness of her room. As the story rewinds to some hours before, the day starts with a bright sunny morning like any other. Moving on from the boring parts of waking up, you will find myself heading to school which passed with little to no issues. However, when it came to lunch-time I was once again cornered by the three renowned delinquent trio, demanding that I buy their lunch while they smoke cigarettes. In such a situation many would probably tell the teacher or fight back. However I have someone I need to care for, someone who I would gladly fall as low as being called a ''coward'', ''weakling'' or ''pathetic'' for and in regards to that I am unwilling to have the slightest chance of being injured. ¡ ¡°I would be honoured¡± ¡ ¡°Hmfp, smart ass..¡± As I happily agreed to buy their lunch with a smile, I received a mumble and glare in reply as they handed over some money. Moments later, I head to the cafeteria noticing that once again people strangely seemed to leave a good 2-meter distance between myself and them. After buying a variety of breads and drinks, I return to the delinquent trio who acted as if I had taken three years time to buy their lunch. Soon after handing over the lunch I had bought for them I headed out to eat my lunch in seclusion. Hours went and passed before I packed my things and decided to head over to the nearby elementary school to pick-up the post most dear to me, my sister Emily. Although many would say I have a sister-complex, I can assure you that this is not true. ¡ ¡°Onii-Chan!¡± ¡ ¡°Hey Emily, have a good day?¡± Emily; my younger sister, nods in reply before grabbing my hand as we head off to a location station. Time passes by on the way to the station thanks to Emily telling her days story, in a fair bit of detail too. We eventually come to the station, ten minutes ahead of the schedule of the next train so I decide to head to a nearby second-hand book-store to see if they have gotten any good books lately. ¡ ¡°Ah, Kazuto you''re back!¡± ¡ ¡°Hello Mr. Mayimura. Have you received anything exciting since the last time I came?¡± ¡ ¡°Indeed. We received two exciting books I personally enjoyed, Dawn of the Traveller and Fallen Pirate. I will sell you both for 100Yen, how about it?¡± I look into my wallet knowing I had saved a few hundred Yen as I planned to visit the shop soon. Soon after purchasing the two books, I head to the station and board it until our stop which was a rather rural part of the province. Soon after exiting the electric locomotive which had finally ended at our stop, myself and Emily headed through the roads leading to our castle. After some several minutes of walking we eventually come upon a rather run-down house that many would say was haunted due to the overgrown weeds and lack of care. ¡ ¡°Tadaima!¡± ¡ ¡°Tadaima.. though not like he''d be home..¡± Emily shouts ''I''m home'' in which I followed, lately it has become a frequently occurring activity when we arrive home. Once inside I tell Emily to go and get changed out of her school wear while I make dinner. Just as I requested, Emily headed to her room to get changed while I entered the kitchen wondering what I should make. However, when I got into the kitchen I found that almost all the cupboards and fridge was empty, lacking of anything edible. Silently sighing of what I could make, I barely manage to make some edible food for Emily while having nothing for myself. Soon after finishing cooking I head into the living room to deliver Emily her food before hearing the front door open. ¡ ¡°Its'' him Kazuto.. Will he be drunk again..?¡± ¡ ¡°Don''t worry.¡± I smile towards Emily who gave a warily smile in return. Soon after she begins eating I head to see who entered the front door only to find a man looking like a homeless person as he held a bottle of alchol in his right hand. ¡ ¡°Father. You can''t sleep here.¡± ¡ ¡°aah..?¡± My father, William Yamada wasn''t always as he appears now. Looking back prior to the ''incident''. my father was a caring man who did everything for family regardless of how much he had to work or do. However, a year and half ago my mother was involved in a mugging and murder which my father blames on me due to her heading towards a music competition I was performing within. ¡ ¡°Father..¡± As I mumble towards my father once again hoping to awake him from his drunken sleep, he opens his eyes only to glare at me. Giving a silent sigh knowing he seemed in a bad mood I didn''t say anything else while awaiting him to rise to his feet. ¡ ¡°Make me some food.¡± ¡ ¡°I would but there isn''t any food left father.¡± As I finished my sentence, father grabbed my by the collar of my shirt before pinning me against the nearby wall. Suddenly, his right fist which was holding the almost empty bottle of alcohol comes mashing into the wall next to me, causing a slight cut on my cheek. ¡ ¡°Don''t be sarcastic to me boy. I''m the man of this house, not you.¡± While father was shouting towards me, I notice Emily shaking in fear at the sight in which I give a slight glance towards her prompting her to return to her room which she thankfully does. As my father witnessed me glancing to Emily before she left running to her room he seemed to become further furious. ¡ ¡°You think you''re better than me? Get out.. Get out now!¡± Father continued to grip the collar of my shirt before stumbling through the hall as he pushes me out of the house. Wondering what I should do since I had been ''kick-out'' once again I headed down the road before entering a caf¨¦. ¡ ¡°Welcome. How may we help you?¡± ¡ ¡°Can I have a coffee?¡± ¡ ¡°Certainly. Would you also like a plaster for your cheek?¡± I rub my hand across my left cheek displaying some blood from the cut, I nod towards the waitress. After being delivered the coffee and a plaster I open a bag that I had thankfully managed to grab before being kicked-out, the bag contained the two books I earlier bought. As I peacefully continue reading one of the books, ''Dawn of the Traveller'' I notice an old man with an unkempt beard and moustache in the corner of my eye. While the elderly man walked passed he eyed the book I was reading. ¡ ¡°That''s a good story boy, you will enjoy it. Is this seat perhaps free?¡± The old man points to the seat opposite me in which I nod before moving my gaze back upon the book. Second and hour begin to pass before I noticed the clock exclaiming I had been here for a little over two hours now. While looking towards the clock I gaze forward only to notice the elderly man strangely sitting with a coffee before him and a book in his hand, exactly the same as me. The elderly man noticed my gaze in which he appeared to give a smile that couldn''t entirely be seen due to his beard. ¡ ¡°Enjoying the book boy?¡± ¡ ¡°Ah, yes. It''s certainly entertaining.¡± ¡ ¡°That it is. I especially enjoy the part of his time in the wastelands.¡± ¡ ¡°Ah, yes. I too enjoyed that part, the fact that he is continuously travelling in search of unexplored places keeps things interesting.¡± ¡ ¡°Indeed.¡± After a slight discussion the atmosphere strangely feels tense as I wonder who the elderly man was and why he was sitting opposite me, rather why did he do the exact same thing as me. ¡ ¡°So how did you hurt your cheek?¡± ¡ ¡°Oh. A misunderstanding.. yeah a misunderstanding I guess.¡± ¡ ¡°I see.¡± The elderly man put a bookmark into his book before he closed it and placed in his pocket. Wondering if he was done I kept my gaze upon the old man noticing his eyebrows seemed to be expressing a frown. ¡ ¡°Well boy, I have to go but I shall see you again soon.¡± ¡ ¡°Huh, yeah.. um good-bye.¡± The elderly man smiled towards me before leaving the caf¨¦ with an intense aura, I wondered if I had angered him in some way. Once the elderly man left I looked outside and noticed that dusk had began to set in, meaning it was time to sneak back home.. once again. After some time passed I was eventually in front of my home hoping that my father had drank enough to be in a deep sleep. Silently sighing to myself, I headed inside thankfully nobody was in sight. As I walked up the stairs I heard quiet whimpering to which I recalled that Emily had seen the earlier scene. Knock Knock.. I knock on Emilys'' door as I entered before landing on my backside due to her special-attack of a jumping-embrace. Streams of tears began to fall on my chest as Emily sobbed herself to sleep, I remained in her room till I was sure she was soundly sleeping. Once knowing Emily was a sleep, I lifted her up and placed her into bed before returning to my own room. Finally entering my own room I opened the door only to see a devastating spectacle before me, my room had been completely trashed. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. Knowing what had happened as it had happened many times over the past year, I quietly reorganised my things which had been thrown all over the floor though my clothes were thankfully not ripped like they were in the past. Eventually I finished organizing my room before falling flat-out on my bed as I dozed off into dream-land. As hours passed and daybreak came forth displaying another nice and sunny day which pleased me very much so as I would be able to take Emily out of this house for the day. As I rise from my bed, get dressed and washed I hear three murmuring voices downstairs, two of which seem familiar. Wondering what the commotion was I quickly finish refreshing myself before heading downstairs only to witness something surprising. ¡ ¡°Ah, you''re awake boy. Quite the late sleeper aren''t you?¡± ¡ ¡°Well.. its'' Saturday after all.. wait why are you here?¡± ¡ ¡°You''ve spoken with this old man brat?¡± Witnessing the familiar face of the elderly man I had saw last night I reply without a thought before my father displays blood-lust on his face. Sighing as I usually do, I wondered if I had fallen into something I''d be best out of so I promptly came up with a reply which was actually the truth. ¡ ¡°I met him last night when visiting a caf¨¦, he requested to sit next to me is all.¡± Father frowned as I said this while I thought to myself *You kicked me out, did you expect me to wait on the street?*. However, hearing this the elderly man began to laugh as he glanced to his left exposing an elderly woman I hadn''t met before. ¡ ¡°Fine then. However, I want 2 Million.¡± ¡ ¡°You bastard.¡± ¡ ¡°Dear, just do it.¡± I had no clue what was happening while hearing father mention ''2 Million'', the old man cuss towards him and the elderly woman scorn towards the elderly man. Honestly, the house was rather chaotic in which I once again sighed and headed to the kitchen to make a drink ignoring my surroundings. ¡ ¡°Dear, look he''s just like you ignoring bothersome people¡± ¡ ¡°Pahahaha!¡± I heard the old woman mumble something to the old man which brought him tears to his eyes as he laughed hysterically for no apparent reason. My father however continued scowling as if he were a dog and someone tried to take the bone from him. ¡ ¡°Fine then you worthless trash. I will pay the money.¡± ¡ ¡°Good I don''t want to see him again anyway, or the girl.¡± *Him.. Girl.. wait what?* I pondered wondering what was being discussed such as *could father finally be selling us to some slavery market to pay for his gambling debts*. However, after the elderly man and father seemed to come to conclusion the tension dropped dramatically. ¡ ¡°Boy.¡± As I sat upon the small kitchen table I unconsciously raise my gaze hearing the elderly man say ''boy''.However, just as the elderly man was about to speak the elderly woman stepped forth. ¡ ¡°Child, I have a lot to tell you.¡± ¡ ¡°Hm?¡± Still wondering what was going on I simply answer while drinking the cheap coffee we had in the kitchen. While giving a slight laugh to herself, the elderly woman sat on the other side of the table gazing towards me. ¡ ¡°Do you know who we are child?¡± ¡ ¡°Sorry, I don''t.¡± ¡ ¡°We are your deceased mothers'' parents, your grandparents.¡± At this point I imagine you thought I''d do something which would be seen in a comedy or animation. However, I gulped the liquid in my throat rather than spraying it and looked towards the elderly woman who continued smiling. ¡ ¡°My grandparents? I haven''t heard nor seen you before though.¡± ¡ ¡°Well.. its'' a long story child. I shall explain why you haven''t heard of us.¡± The old woman explained that an x-amount of years ago my mother fell in love with father who was some sort of security guard working for the family. Once mother fell in love the love ended up mutual in which the duo eloped and left the family behind leaving to this situation. ¡ ¡°So, why hadn''t you contacted us when mother died over a year ago?¡± ¡ ¡°That boy is my fault. My work sometimes involves going abroad in which over the past three years I have been between America and Korea working on something world-changing¡± Before the elderly woman had chance to speak, the elderly man spoke with a presumed grin on his face as he pushed his chest out. However, hearing his words the elderly woman glared towards him leading him to partially cower from her which was refreshing to see. ¡ ¡°Its'' true. We were abroad and were never informed of what had happened to our daughter, your mother. However, we got back to Japan a couple of days ago and heard that she had passed through an old acquaintance that unknowingly gave his condolences about our daughter.¡± The old woman explained why they hadn''t come to the funeral nor bothered us in all these years while showing a slight tear from her eyes. Noticing that the elderly woman was upset the elderly man walked to her and rubbed her shoulder slightly. ¡ ¡°So what now, what was the previous arguments for?¡± ¡ ¡°That child is because we had heard rumours of your living conditions. We requested to that despicable father of yours to give us custody of yourself and your sister. However, he even dared ask money for custody.¡± ¡ ¡°Seems a natural thing for him honestly..¡± I mumbled under my breath not realising that my father had heard, receiving a murderous glare in reply. Meanwhile the elderly man once again fell into a hysteric laughter at my comment. While we discussed about numerous things, mostly about my mother I heard the toilet upstairs flush meaning Emily was awake. ¡ ¡°Ah. Sorry, one moment.¡± I stopped discussing with my supposed ''grandparents'' before rising from my seat to make Emily some breakfast. Once Emily came downstairs she wondered who the two elderly people were but sat at the table nonetheless smiling towards the old woman, receiving a smile in return. ¡ ¡°Thanks Onii-Chan¡± Emily gave her thanks as I placed some toast and orange juice before her. Noticing that the elderly woman and man were staring at me and Emily I felt rather awkward in which I began thinking of ways to ease the atmosphere. ¡ ¡°Ah, Emily. While I remember, those two are our grandparents. Our mothers parents.¡± ¡ ¡°Really!?¡± I nodded to Emily to which she gained sparkles in her eyes excited by the fact she had gained further family other than father, someone she heavily despised. ¡ ¡°So.. What now?¡± ¡ ¡°You two are to pack your things and come with us.¡± ¡ ¡°We''re going with them Onii-Chan?¡± ¡ ¡°Anywhere is better than this run-down house. Plus, I''d feel safer if you were away from him..¡± I mumbled under my breath once again, though I ensured nobody heard this time. ¡ ¡°Apparently so.¡± Giving a pleasant smile towards Emily she smiled in return before looking towards our grandparents. ¡ ¡°Grandfather, Grandmother. It is nice to meet you, I am Emily!¡± Grandmother smiled towards Emilys'' words before heading upstairs with Emily to assist her in packing her items. However, I still stayed downstairs while waiting for the two girls to leave before looking towards father who had a grin on his face. ¡ ¡°Happy now? At least now you can drink your sorrows away. Since I have never asked for anything, received anything nor expected anything over the past year and a half; I have one request which is that you never bother us again as I don''t consider you a father any more.¡± With that statement I turned and headed upstairs to gather my things listening to grandfather and father discussing something bellow. Some time passed during which myself and Emily had gathered any belongings we wanted to take while grandfather told fa.. no William that he would transfer the money in an hours time. Now with everything gathered and everything discussed grandfather headed outside while telling us to follow, in which we did. Once outside I was surprised by what was before me, a limousine with the name ''Takez¨®'' on the side. ¡ ¡°Wh-What is this..?¡± ¡ ¡°Never seen a limousine before? Pahahaha.¡± *Thud* ¡ ¡°Ow!¡± Grandmother elbows grandfather in the side before turning to us while he rubs his side in pain. ¡ ¡°Your grandfather is a rather influential person. What you have known and what you will come to know will change drastically. However as long as you and Emily are happy, we are happy.¡± I Nodded towards grandmother before turning around to gaze upon the house which has been my home for as long as I remember. As I close my eyes recalling all the good memories while also the bad memories I give a slight bow to my home before entering the limousine, not looking back once.

Chapter 2 - New home, new life, new beginning. ¡° is used when people are speaking. * is used when our protagonist is thinking, however this may also be used for other characters depending on POV. Authors Notes;- ~ Hope you enjoy the Chapter. My release schedule will be completely random due to myself working in real life.

Returning to some several hours before the present, one would see myself as I close my eyes recalling a variety of memories, times of happiness and times of sorrow. As I come back to reality I give a slight bow to the run-down house before stepping into a mysterious limousine labelled ''Takez¨®'' on the side. Soon after entering the limousine I was bewildered by the interior, it seemed futuristic in a sense. As I gaze around the interior I notice several buttoned panels, screens, and much much more. ¡ ¡°Via, meet my Grandchildren.¡± My grandfather speaks as he enters the silent, empty limousine while I think he could actually be somewhat crazy. However, a feminine voice suddenly replies as the interior appliances illuminate. ¡ ¡°Pleasure to meet you Kazuto and Emily Yamada. I am the Artificial Intelligence known as ''Virtual Interactive advanced Intelligence'' or Via for short.¡± ¡ ¡°Grandfather¡± ¡ ¡°Yes my boy?¡± ¡ ¡°The car just spoke right?¡± ¡ ¡°Pahahahaha.. that''s a new one. However, in all seriousness Via is a software I had designed to deal with my daily schedule and... some other things.¡± Wondering what was happening I fell into a daze before unknowingly entering the limousine and sitting down. Some moments came to pass as I tried to process what was happening before noticing Emily being the child she was, talking to Via. ¡ ¡°Your here but you''re not?¡± ¡ ¡°That is so Emily.¡± ¡ ¡°So you''re not playing Hide ''N'' Seek?¡± Emily continued asking random questions to Via for a fair amount of time, during which Grandmother attempted to explain what Via was with little result. Meanwhile, grandfather continued his hysteric laughs at the sight of myself being dazed and Emily full of questions. Silently sighing while pondering over who this proclaimed ''Grandfather'' was; I noticed him reading the documents he had my father sign. Several minutes passed before he had finished the last page in which he mumbled slightly to himself, so quiet that I was unable to hear. ¡ ¡°Via, process these documents ASAP.¡± Grandfather pressed a button on one of the illuminated control panels in which something akin to a disk drive was opened. Suddenly, grandfather placed the numerous pages on the strange disk-drive look a like before it closed. Silence was within the limousine as myself and Emily wondered what Grandfather had done. Some numerous minutes came to pass one again before Vias'' voice could be heard once more. ¡ ¡°They have been processed and completed Master Takez¨®.¡± Grandfather gave a slight nod as he closed his eyes making me believe he was pondering something, seconds passed before he slowly opened them as he moved his gaze upon me. ¡ ¡°Kazuto. We have something to discuss.¡± ¡ ¡°Yes Grandfather?¡± ¡ ¡°As you are aware we gained custody of yourself and Emily from your brute of a father. However, in doing so your surnames will change to my own; Takez¨®. Are you fine with this?¡± I hardly had to ponder as I honestly wanted nothing to do with the man I once called ''father'', he was a useless nobody using alcohol and gambling to deal with the grief he gained when mother died. However, he wasn''t the only one upset after all. I nodded towards grandfather receiving a smile in return. The hours came to pass as the limousine travelled through various types of roads before finally coming to an almost stop as we head towards two large gates with a large tribal dragon insignia displayed. ¡ ¡°Well then you two, we''re finally at your new home.¡± Emily looked at me with a puzzled expression, in which I smiled in return guessing that due to her age she had no idea to what was happening. As we continue to approach the twin dragon gates they suddenly open as numerous armed guards give a salute directed to the limousine. ¡ ¡°Armed guards..?¡± As I mumbled under my breath noticing the numerous guards armed with shotguns, rifles and pistols grandmother smiled towards me. ¡ ¡°They''re only here for security. Don''t worry as we''ve never had issues in the past but it is always best to have security as a precaution, especially with our family circumstances.¡± ¡ ¡°Circumstances?¡± ¡ ¡°You will find out in due time.¡± Grandmother continued to express the soothing pleasant smile upon her face as we travelled up a rather narrow road, barely wide enough to fit two cars. Somehow it seemed minute after minute came to pass yet no house was in sight, I began to wonder where we were going. ¡ ¡°I thought you said we were home?¡± ¡ ¡°You are, this is the garden my boy.¡± ¡ ¡°Garden.......?¡± ¡ ¡°Pahahahahaha... Your face boy.. pahahahah¡± As grandmother replied to my question grandfather fell into another hysteric laugh which seemed to be something I''d never get accustomed to. However, as he continued laughing he received a glare from grandmother that could even startle the grim reaper. ¡ Grandmother, Grandfather.. this is the garden?¡± ¡ ¡°That it is Emily. I''m sure you will have lots of fun out here.¡± ¡ ¡°ehehe, hide and seek will be fun wont it!¡± ¡ ¡°I''m sure it will be, darling.¡± While I continued to gaze upon the seemingly endless trees, bushes, flowers; Emily seemed to be discussing playing with Grandmother which I sighed to myself thinking even I''d get lost here let alone wanting to play hide and seek. Eventually, time passed and the limousine came before a large white mansion looking house. As I gazed upon the building one would notice the countless windows, which I presumed to represent numerous rooms which probably aren''t used much. However, the most notable feature was the large twin doors in the center also donning the same tribal dragon insignia as the gate we had passed. ¡ ¡°Maaster Takez¨®, you have a message from Mr. Phillips.¡± As we left the limousine I head Vias'' voice come from grandfathers direction to which he replied as if natural. ¡ ¡°Grandfather how..¡± Before I managed to finish my sentence grandfather pulled out a small object, presumably a type of cellphone or a similar sort of device. ¡ ¡°This is a customized device which works as a planner, Sat Nav, cellphone and much more. However, the most advanced feature is that Emily can access the device to give me messages when needed.¡± I was simply speechless, this was something other-worldly. Grandfather grinned towards my expression rather than laughing, though that was probably due to his side hurting from either too much laughter or caused by too many beatings from grandmother. ¡ ¡°Anyhow, less of the talking out here. Let us go inside.¡± I nod towards grandfather as he heads inside while myself, Emily and Grandmother follow in tow. Once we eventually head inside the house, the interior amazes me due to the sheer size inside of the building. While slightly dazed as I gaze around the room, I come to notice a trio of three people standing at the bottom of the white staircase. With closer inspection of the trio one would come to notice two men of different ages, both dressed formally and giving a noble bow with their respective right hands across their chest. However, while looking to the right of the two men one would come to notice a middle-aged woman dressed in a dark blue dress greeting us with a curtsey. Wondering who the three people are I look to grandfather only to notice him smiling towards the three. ¡ ¡°Jacob, how is Samuels'' training going?¡± ¡ ¡°Very well Master Takez¨®. However, he still has much to learn.¡± ¡ ¡°So I presume he is ready to work?¡± ¡ ¡°I believe so Master Takez¨®.¡± ¡ ¡°Good.¡± Soon after finishing his quick discussion with the elder man of the duo, Grandfather turns towards me before placing his arm on my shoulder. ¡ ¡°Samuel you will be my grandsons aid, secretary, best friend, protecter and anything else he may need in life. Follow him with loyalty and devotion.¡± ¡ ¡°It would be my honour to follow Young Master Takez¨®.¡± Grandfather nods towards the man before heading towards one of the rooms, everyone seems to follow him so I do the same. Soon after following Grandfather we come upon a large dinning room with a table large enough to fit two whole families upon. As Grandfather, Grandmother, myself and Emily take a seat numerous men can be seen bringing in a variety of trays of different sizes which are placed upon the table. Soon after placing everything on the table, the numerous men pull off the lids before they retire back into the room they had came from. ¡ ¡°Well then, don''t stare.. eat!¡± With Grandfathers comment myself and Emily begin eating, the food was delicious as I ate things I haven''t even seen before. While eating I noticed Grandfather and Grandmother whispering to one another making me wonder if something was wrong. ¡ ¡°Something wrong Grandfather, Grandmother?¡± ¡ ¡°Not at all boy. Just that it seems you have a rather large appetite for your size.¡± ¡ ¡°oh.¡± ¡ ¡°That''s because Onii-Chan often doesn''t eat so I can. Daddy rarely gives Onii-Chan money so Onii-Chan saves money in a secret box for food and anything I want.¡± I shrug at Emilys'' comment as I never felt grievance towards not eating nor when I had to buy Emily items. Although, there were times when hunger got the better of me and I had collapsed but that is all in the past now it seems. While I shrugged the comment from Emily off, I noticed the anger upon my Grandparents face as she spoke about out past. However, rather than having them fret over the past I thought it best to put them at ease if only a little. ¡ ¡°Don''t worry Emily, that was in the past.¡± ¡ ¡°That it is my boy. You don''t have to worry about a thing, just leave it to us.¡± As we continued eating the food upon the table Emily continued telling numerous stories making me smile in disbelief due to the nature of the stories. While Emily discussed the stories she mentioned about times when I had to fix appliances due to not being able to buy new ones, times when I had to fix parts of the house if they had ever withered. However, not everything in her stories were sad as she spoke of times when I had helped her with school-work or played with her, creating origami for example. The time continued to pass before dusk could be seen setting in as one glanced outside. ¡ ¡°Right then you two, enough of the chatter. Head on upstairs, take a bath and get to bed¡± Grandmother spoke which I was rather thankful for as Emily continued to make awkward moments for myself while recalling the past. Since grandmother recommended a bath I decided to head there with the guide of my new.. apparent ''secretary'' named Samuel. ¡ ¡°Samuel, how old are you?¡± ¡ ¡°27 Young Master Takez¨®.¡± ¡ ¡°I see, Kazuto is fine.¡± ¡ ¡°That cannot be Young Master Takez¨®¡± Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.¡ ¡°Why is that?¡± ¡ ¡°I am but a simple servant... and Jacob is scary if I do something wrong..¡± Hearing the silent whisper of the latter part which he tried to keep quiet I thought it was rather amusing and would like to get to know this ''Jacob''. Eventually we came to the bath which was half the length of a swimming pool, or at least that''s how it seemed to me. ¡ ¡°Pretty large isn''t it Samuel?¡± ¡ ¡°That it is Young Master Takez¨®¡± ¡ ¡°So, why are you here?¡± ¡ ¡°I am preparing to wash your back, or would you prefer one of the maids to do so Young Master Takez¨®?¡± ¡ ¡°Rather Hilarious aren''t you?¡± ¡ ¡°I do try Young Master Takez¨®.¡± ¡ I can wash myself, you wait outside.¡± ¡ ¡°As you wish.¡± Samuel headed outside while I inwardly screamed wondering what I had gotten myself into. As I recall the events which had unfolded since meeting my Grandparents I sigh inwardly thinking that at this point nothing could surprise me. Some time passes and I eventually head to bed only to recall my prior words. ¡ ¡°Samuel, I was mistaken.¡± ¡ ¡°About what Young Master Takez¨®?¡± ¡ ¡°This house keeps surprising me. This... are you sure this is a bed?¡± ¡ ¡°That it is Young Master Takez¨®.¡± I sigh inwardly once more as I scratch my head, throw my clothes to the side and climb into a ridiculously large bed before falling soundly asleep. Hours come to pass before dawn comes to shine, birds can be heard outside as I soundly sleep. However, this was not to last as a sudden beam of light hits my face leading me to awaken. ¡ ¡°Good Morning Young Master Takez¨®.¡± ¡ ¡°Morning.. what time is it.. why did you wake me anyway?¡± ¡ ¡°It is 6:30Am and I woke you because it is daybreak.¡± An emotionless expression falls upon my face as I look towards Samuel who returns my expression with a smile. Soon after having the ''emotion'' contest with Samuel, I am guided downstairs for breakfast only to find my Grandparents and Emily waiting for me. ¡ ¡°Uh.. am I late?¡± ¡ ¡°Ehehe.. I beat Onii-Chan in waking up!¡± Emily gives me a smile that could ease any atmosphere before I sit down beside her. As we begin eating I notice grandfather fidgeting as if pondering something. ¡ ¡°Kazuto.¡± ¡ ¡°Yes Grandfather?¡± ¡ ¡°You''re in 3rd year middle-school correct, what school?¡± ¡ ¡°Yes Grandfather, Josen Middle-School¡± ¡ ¡°How are your grades?¡± ¡ ¡°Top of my year. However, I''ve actually already finished my exams ahead of time and I''m only attending because it is required.. Grandfather made a ''Hm'' noise before reaching into his right pocket only to pull out the strange device he had used yesterday. ¡ ¡°Via, connect me with Josen Middle-School.¡± ¡ ¡°Certainly Master Takez¨®.¡± Some time passed during which Grandfather spoke to whom I presume to be the principle and explained that I would not be attending the remainder three weeks of school. However, he also told him that I wont be moving into Josen High-school as I will be attending to ''St. Andrews'', a school for the upper-class. ¡ ¡°Grandfather, what is St. Andrews like?¡± ¡ ¡°Hm.. Your mother went to it and seemed fine, an old friend of mine founded it.¡± ¡ ¡°a friend?¡± ¡ ¡°Yes, he''s British but he opened numerous schools around the world for the upper-class or exceptional people who''d gain a scholarship.¡± Grandfather informed me of what to expect when I attend school for example, that people may try and get close to me once they find out my name, while others may try to belittle me due to my prior back-ground if it is know. However, grandfather said Samuel will be attending with me and that he would ensure nothing happens. ¡ ¡°Master Takez¨®, Mr Phillips said to inform you that the release will be happening in an hours time.¡± ¡ ¡°Is that so. That reminds me, Kazuto do you like adventure?¡± ¡ ¡°Adventure?¡± ¡ ¡°Yep Adventure.¡± Looking puzzled to what he was trying to hint towards I pondered for several seconds before giving in and asking. ¡ ¡°Hmm.. I like seeing new things but why do you ask?¡± ¡ ¡°Good, come with me.¡± Grandfather raised from his seat and ventured through the halls of the house before heading down a staircase I hadn''t ventured down as of yet. Once eventually down the stairs I ended up within a room full of numerous gadgets, computers and other unknown objects. ¡ ¡°Samuel have the men bring those to the games room.¡± Samuel who had been standing behind me nodded before heading upstairs to call other servants. Several moments later, the unknown oblong objects had been taken upstairs before Grandfather looked towards me. ¡ ¡°Here, read this.¡± I looked towards the small booklet which seemed to be less than 50 pages only to notice the label ''Dream Forth'', a game I knew of since it was all people talked about in school prior to me coming here. Wondering why grandfather had a booklet for a game which is due to be released toda-. ¡ ¡°Grandfather.¡± ¡ ¡°Yes?¡± ¡ ¡°Dream Forth it''s suppose to be released today if I recall.. what connections do you have to it?¡± ¡ ¡°Well, I own it?¡± ¡ ¡°you.. own the so called ''world-changing'' game?¡± ¡ ¡°It''s not that world changing.. sure it puts you in another world.. and sure the servers are so large we had to put them on the moon, well dark side of the moon to use the natural cooling effect of space. Anyhow, don''t you want to play it?¡± As I close my eyes in disbelief I think to myself that this household is full of wondrous strange things, what would another added to them be. Giving a slight exhale I look towards Grandfather. ¡ ¡°Grandfather, this is just speculation but it Via related to Dream Forth?¡± ¡ ¡°Yes and no. Yes, an Artificial Intelligence self-sustains Dream forth without human interference. However, the Artificial Intelligence running Dream Forth is sort of a second version, a daughter of sorts to Via.¡± My discussion continues with Grandfather as I ask numerous questions regarding the game as I too was interested in playing in the past. However, due to my circumstances back then I knew I''d never be able to play so I gave up the thought but now things are different. ¡ ¡°Then.. I shall go and play Grandfather.¡± ¡ ¡°Good, go and enjoy since you have 9 weeks until school Stars I nod towards grandfather and head to the games room to find Samuel and other servants setting up the oblong device. ¡ ¡°Everything done Samuel?¡± ¡ Yes Young Master Takez¨®, the Capsule is now calibrated and ready for game-play.¡± ¡ ¡°Capsule, is that the name of this?¡± Samuel nods before pressing a button on the ''Capsule'' which opens it to display a jelly-like substance inside. Wondering what the substance was while also thinking I should ask Grandfather later, I eventually climb inside. Suddenly, as the hatch is closed everything goes pitch-black before I feel myself feeling tired as I fall into a deep sleep. *Tring*

Chapter 3 - Merchant Challenge Part 1 ¡° is used when people are speaking. * is used when our protagonist is thinking, however this may also be used for other characters depending on POV. Authors Notes;- ~ Finally the game-play starts. However, what profession will our protagonist eventually choose?

As the last message appeared welcoming me to the virtual reality known as ''Dream Forth'' I was seemingly engulfed by a bright light leading me to close my eyes in reaction. Some moments after closing my eyes I begin to hear numerous sounds of humans, walking, laughter, birds chirping and so forth. As I slowly open my eyes I feel a gust of wind hit me from behind as if I had awakened in fantasy medieval world. Bewildered by the surrounding sights of various stalls, shops, buildings and countless humanoids each different from the next I stood motionless. While looking closer to the surrounding people I notice many like myself, however I also notice beautiful people with pointed ears while also people the size of a child yet extremely muscled and bearded. While still in a daze amazed by the surroundings I hear someone ringing a bell and shouting. ¡ ¡°All new ''Travellers'' come forth! All new ''Travellers'' come forth!¡± Wondering what the commotion was I followed the large group of people who headed into that direction. Soon after arriving towards the still-shouting man the crowd seemed to grow by the hundreds if not thousands. ¡ ¡°Welcome fellow Travellers. My name is Mr. Phillips and I am a representative of Takez¨® Industries, makers of Dream Forth. First of all, I would like to welcome you all to this wondrous world and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. Secondly, as many of you may or may not have heard from the Dream Forth website, you all are classified as ''Travellers'' in this world while NPC are classified as ''People of the Land'', or ''Regional'' for short. Within this world you will find that the ''Regional'' are no different from ourselves due to the advanced A.I. which is self-sustaining Dream Forth. Thirdly, all new ''Travellers'' within Dream Forth are required to wait for a 4-week period inside the City. During this period you are recommend to look for a quest, find a job or join one of the numerous training guilds. The reason for the 4-week period is to give ''Travellers'' the feeling of being a part of a City before being released into the unknown. And Finally, we at Takez¨® Industries hope you have a fantastic time within this world and wish you the best of luck within your adventures.¡± The greeting was rather short though afterwards the man called ''Mr Phillips'' held a short Q&A for those who were interested. However, I for one would rather venture through this unknown world and see what sights I come upon through my travels. While wondering what I should do based on what Mr Phillips explained I ruled out training as training would be useless from what I had read in the earlier booklet. As I recall the booklet which my Grandfather had given me to read prior to entering the Capsule, I recall that the booklet explained you are required to eat and drink every so often to keep your ''Satiety'' level above a certain percent or you would collapse. ¡ ¡°Then it''s down to one..¡± I mumble to myself while coming to a conclusion that the first thing I needed was to either get a job or some other method of making money. However, while pondering for a while I thought about the stalls I had noticed when I first logged in which gave me an idea. Due to gaining an idea in mind I head towards a nearby stall before coming upon a middle-aged woman dressed in a brown apron as she was selling a variety of fruit and vegetables. ¡ ¡°Excuse me Ma''am. Is there any requirements to start a stall or buy and sell goods?¡± ¡ ¡°Hello young man, quite the manners you have there. As you may have expected there are numerous requirements starting with being a Merchant.¡± ¡ ¡°Merchant..?, how does one gain this privilege?¡± The woman smiles towards me before pointing towards a nearby billboard which I had previously failed to notice. ¡ ¡°Go to that billboard over there as it contains a map. Look for the building listed as ''Merchant Guild''.¡± ¡ ¡°Thank you ma''am, I shall pay the favour back one day¡± I give a smile towards the woman as my mother always used to say that one should be grateful when one receives help from others. Now knowing my destination I head towards the billboard which was surrounded by numerous other people. ¡ ¡°Excuse me can I get past?¡± ¡ ¡°Move it!¡± ¡ ¡°Stop Pushing!¡± ¡ ¡°OW!¡± As I attempted to be polite in asking for passage, people ignored my thoughts as they pushed one another to get closer. Wondering if I could gain a better vantage point I look around only to come the conclusion that staying here would be a waste of time. As I begin walking away from the billboard the woman who I previously spoke to notices me walking away to which she waves me over. ¡ ¡°Not able to see the map sweetie?¡± ¡ ¡°Sadly I was unable due to the sheer amount of people pushing one another to gain entry.¡± The woman smiled towards me while I wondered to myself, thinking that due to my childish weak looks perhaps she thinks I am younger than I actually am. However, I wouldn''t be one to complain or rebuke kindness from others so I stayed silent, only replying with a slight nod. ¡ ¡°Give me 10 minutes as I''m almost finished here. Once I''m finished I shall take you.¡± ¡ ¡°Thank you for your kindness.¡± While waiting for the woman to finish packing her things, I watched the surrounding people as they ran around to the ''regional'' asking for quests, jobs or like myself directions to a specific location. After waiting for 10 minutes the woman finally finished in which she told me to follow her, to which I did. After following the woman for several minutes we came upon a large building with an opening big enough to fit a wagon into. Once upon the large building the woman who has guided me thus far stops in her tracks before turning towards me. ¡ ¡°This is the merchant guild sweety, go inside and register at the reception desk. If you should have any trouble from them say Margaret Thanes sent you. ¡ ¡°Thank you for your guidance and assistance thus far. I am indebted to you.¡± ¡ ¡°Don''t be so formal and I''m happy to help so don''t worry about a thing.¡± Margaret gives her farewells and leaves back into the direction we just came from while I head inside the large opening of the building. Once inside the large building I notice numerous carts parked next to one another while also noticing numerous people moving goods. ¡ ¡°Excuse me, do any of you know where the reception area is?¡± I shout towards the group of people moving goods in which one points towards a nearby door. ¡ ¡°Go in there.¡± ¡ ¡°thank you.¡± Now knowing of where to go I promptly head inside the door before coming upon a large desk containing piles of papers with an old man sitting behind. While waiting for the old man to notice my presence I give a slight cough to gain his attention. ¡ ¡°What do you want boy?¡± ¡ ¡°I hope to gain the ability to buy and trade goods.¡± ¡ ¡°So you want the merchant profession?¡± ¡ ¡°Merchant profession?¡± The elderly man looked towards me with a frown before giving a slight sigh as he removes and cleans his glasses. ¡ ¡°Kids these days.. always causing trouble. Boy, do you know what a profession is?¡± ¡ ¡°No, I sadly don''t.¡± ¡ ¡°Go to the information Guild and find out before coming back.¡± I nod towards the elderly man who mumbles to himself as I turn around and head outside of the building. Soon after heading out of the merchant guild I returned back to the place with the numerous stalls and shops. Once I arrive at the ''market'' as I''m going to call it, I notice that the billboard isn''t as crowded as moments before. While looking at the billboard I notice that a big arrow is pointing saying ''You''re Here'' which I presume is true. Once I discover the route from my current position to the Information guild I head out for around 15 minutes before coming upon a large building, even larger than the merchant guild. However, this building is flourishing with numerous people walking in and out constantly. As I wait in a nearby queue of people I watch several people bickering which I found hilarious as the game had only been released a little over an hour so far. Some moments pass until I''m finally at the head of a long queue now behind me. ¡ ¡°Welcome to the Information Guild, how may I be of assistance?¡± ¡ ¡°I would like to gain information regarding ''Professions''.¡± ¡ ¡°Are you looking for a profession or want general knowledge reading professions?¡± ¡ ¡°General knowledge please.¡± ¡ ¡°Certainly.¡± The woman behind the counter passes me a small booklet before shouting ''Next''. Once I walk away I head through the streets before finding a bench to which I sit upon and read the booklet. While reading the booklet I feel slightly light-headed only to realise that the earlier booklet which grandfather gave me explained that you were required to eat to keep your satiety level gauge up. While recalling how I increase my satiety level I remember I hadn''t checked my inventory, which I promptly did only to find ''x10'' stacked black bread. Soon after withdrawing the bread from my backpack I try a piece while thinking it tasted like toast, only slightly over-cooked. Time came to pass during which I finished eating a roll of black bread, or ''burnt bread'' as it was listed. Eventually, I finished the last page of the booklet regarding ''Professions'' to which an unexpected message appeared before me. *Tring*

If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. ¡ ¡°Wow, awesome.¡± Thanks to the booklet grandfather had given me earlier which contained information about most basic knowledge. However, it didn''t contain information regarding Kingdoms nor professions specific professions other than listing information regarding overall ''Fighting'' and ''Crafting'' professions. Now knowing what the ''Merchant'' Profession has to offer I decide to head back to the Merchant Guild in which I raise myself from the bench and begin walking. After walking for several minutes I finally enter the reception area within the Merchant Guild only to find the elderly man still dealing with paperwork. ¡ ¡°Back boy? Did you find out what the Merchant Profession is?¡± I nodded towards the elderly man who gave a slight mumble under his breath in return. ¡ ¡°So, do you wish to become a merchant?¡± ¡ ¡°No as I don''t wish to be limited to only merchanting. Although I do want to gain the ability to barter...¡± The elderly man frowned upon hearing this while I pondered to myself wondering if I had offended him in saying such a thing. ¡ ¡°No can do boy. Only those of the Merchant Profession can gain the Bartering Skill.¡± ¡ ¡°Really? I see.. it''s a pity. Suppose I should tell Ms. Margaret that her assistance was futile.¡± As I mumbled under my breath the elderly man raised an eyebrow at the name ''Margaret'' in which he coughed slightly to clear his throat. ¡ ¡°Boy, which Margaret do you speak of?¡± ¡ ¡°Um.. Margaret Thanes if I recall. However, she only assisted in guiding me here.¡± ¡ ¡°So you''re acquainted with the demon princes.. I see.. I see..¡± ¡ ¡°Demon Princess?¡± ¡ ¡°It''s noting boy. Be sure not to mention I said that or she''ll have my life.¡± ¡ ¡°Really? She seemed really nice to me, she even said to mention her name if I got any issues.¡± The elderly man went pale at my thoughtless words which I accounted to nothing. Wondering why the elderly man was expressionless or rather as white as a ghost, I moved closer before waving my hand inches from his face ¡ ¡°You ok?¡± ¡ ¡°Woah!? Sorry boy. I was dazed for a moment thinking of my possible torture. Anyhow, you wish to learn the Merchant Skills without becoming a Merchant.. this is a rather difficult predicment I am in.¡± The elderly man raises from his seat before going to the back of the room to pick-up a scrool. Soon after, the elderly man returns and hands me the scroll. ¡ ¡°This is an old document regarding Merchanting which my father once held. However, gaining the ''Merchant'' Skill without having the Merchant Profession is harder than one would think. There are two ways to become a ''merchant'', one of which is gaining the profession while the other is undergoing an assignment given by the merchant guild themselves. However, the assignment is given to only special cases which is extremely rare.¡± ¡ ¡°So why are you telling me this?¡± ¡. ¡°Because I don''t want to be tortured by the demon princess. Simple as that boy.¡± I hold a puzzled face as the elderly man once again calls the kind woman I met earlier a ''Demon Princess''. However, due to personal experience I know not to see people as they seem as humans can change personalities as quick as a light-switch can be flicked. ¡ ¡°So what would the assignment be?¡± ¡ ¡°Simple boy. Here is 15 Copper, go and buy 10 rabbit pelts.¡± ¡ ¡°That easy?¡± ¡ ¡°The life of a merchant is harder than you think boy.¡± *Tring*
Quest; Complete the Merchants'' Challenge
Rank: E ~ You have been challenged by the Merchant guild to buy 10 rabbit pelts with 15 Copper. Failure:- ~ You will not obtain the Merchant Skills ~ Familiarity with Merchants will be at an all-time low. Completion:- ~ You will obtain the Merchant Skills ~ Familiarity with the Merchant Guild will increase. ~ Unknown.
¡ ¡°Well, do you accept the challenge boy?¡± ¡ ¡°Yes!¡± As I accepted the Quest the message automatically disappeared while the elderly man returned to his paperwork. Meanwhile I turned around and headed outside thinking that buying the Rabbit pelts would be fairly easy, how wrong I was. As I left the Merchant guild and headed back to the market place I came to recall Mr. Phillips explaining nobody could leave the City for four-weeks meaning I couldn''t obtain from other players. Slightly panic-stricken on what to do I decided to wander around to see if I could come up with some ideas. While walking through the streets I came to notice a familiar face, Margaret who also spotted me. ¡ ¡°How did things go boy? Did everything go well?¡± ¡ ¡°Both yes and no. I have an assignment to buy 10 rabbit pelts with 15 coppers though I have no idea how to obtain them.¡± The woman seemed to be in thought for a while before she smiled towards me. ¡ ¡°Since this is an official challenge I shall not help you. However, I shall give you some advice; there are always those in need of money.¡± I was puzzled by what she meant to which she seemed to notice giving a slight laugh in response. ¡ ¡°Simply open your eyes and think about who would need such an amount of money regardless of what they had to do.¡± As Margaret said her last comment she turned and began walking off, leaving me slightly wondering what she had meant. Suddenly, I received another message like earlier. *Tring*
Stat Progression Gained
~ Your familiarity with Margaret Thanes has increased. +1 Charisma
Ignoring the message I continued walking through the streets before coming upon the rural part of down which reminded me of the past year and a half of my life. While walking through the streets I noticed children playing with anything they could turn into a game while also noticing men and women in shabby homes. As I continued walking I recalled what Margaret had said earlier regarding ''Simply open your eyes and think about who would need such an amount of money regardless of what they had to do.''. Once I recalled what she had said an idea came to mind in which I headed over to the children who were currently playing with dustbin lids and sticks, pretending to be knights it seemed. ¡ ¡°Hey, do you children know any strong people who need money?¡± ¡ ¡°Hmm.. maybe uncle Alfred.. but why do you ask mister?¡± ¡ ¡°can I meet your uncle Alfred?¡± the several children nodded before guiding me through numerous back alleys. Some several minutes pass before I am eventually taken to an old-looking shack. ¡ ¡°Uncle Alfred... Uncle Alfred.. Someone is here to see you!¡± ¡ ¡°Who is it..?¡± A bearded middle-aged man walks out of the shack, the man sort of reminds me of my father but I shake my head to that fact. As the man walks towards me he gazes up and down as if inspecting me. ¡ ¡°What do you want boy?¡± ¡ ¡°I have a request and hope you may be able to help.¡± ¡ ¡°What request?¡± ¡ ¡°I have a task from the Merchants Guild asking me to gain 10 Rabbit pelts for 15 Copper.¡± ¡ ¡°You know that Rabbit pelts sell for 2 coppers each while skinning costs another copper on top?¡± ¡ ¡°Really.. I see.. sorry for wasting your time.¡± As I turn to leave the bearded man coughs to which I turn around wondering if he had something to say. ¡ ¡°You are trying to gain the Merchant Skills, correct?¡± ¡ ¡°Yes?¡± ¡ ¡°I shall assist you for free, on one condition.¡± ¡ ¡°Name it!¡± ¡ ¡°Once you become a merchant buy these kids some clothes and food. I would like to do it myself; however, due to certain circumstances I am shunned by the community in which they will not accept anything from me."
Quest; Children of the Slums.
Rank: E ~ You have been offered a Sub-Quest in addition to ''Complete the Merchants Challenge''. ~ Uncle Alfred has requested you to feed and cloth the children of the slums once you complete the quest ''Complete the Merchants'' Challenge''. Failure:- ~ You will undergo the wrath of Uncle Alfred Completion:- ~ Familiarity with Uncle Alfred and residents from the Slums will increase. ~ Unknown.
Hearing the comment by the bearded man I wonder why he was shunned by the community, though I thought it would be better not to pry into someone''s private life. While pondering this fact an unexpected message appeared before me once more, however while reading the details of the message a slight chill tingled through my spine as I wondered what ''wrath'' I could undergo upon failure. ... "I accept to your conditions." The message disappeared before ''Uncle Alfred'' told me to expect the items tomorrow. Now knowing that I would gain everything tomorrow, and free at that; I recall the booklet from grandfather explaining that you should always log-out in a tavern or Inn encase of robbery or death. Wondering where I should log-out I turn to the bearded man. ¡ ¡°Is there a cheap nearby inn? One cheap enough for 10 coppers?¡± ¡ ¡°If you''re looking for a room, stay at my place if you want. It''s rare I get visitors other than these mischievous kids these days. I nod towards the bearded man before he shows me into his home which was rather simple. Once inside the room I take out another of those over-cooked bread which disappears within seconds before I fall to slumber and log-out.

Chapter 3.5 - Path of a butler ¡° is used when people are speaking. * is used when our protagonist is thinking, however this may also be used for other characters depending on POV. Authors Notes;- ~ Short Chapter, expect another Chapter in a day or two as I have some free time tomorrow to continue writing.

Soon after logging out of ''Dream Forth'' I climbed out of the Capsule and headed to the bathroom to do my business. Some time passed in which I refreshed myself before heading downstairs to get some refreshments as I was rather parched. While wandering downstairs I begun to wonder where Samuel was due to the fact he had been following be everywhere lately. As I walked through one of the main passageways I came upon a maid who was currently dusting while humming to herself, not noticing my presence. ¡ ¡°Excuse me, have you seen Samuel?¡± ¡ ¡°Ah! Young Master Takez¨®, forgive my impudence. Mr. Samuel is currently undergoing a task which Mr. Jacob had told him to achieve.¡± ¡ ¡°I see. Sorry for disturbing your work.¡± The maid gave a slight curtsey bow as I walked away wondering what the man Samuel was scared of had him do. Soon after walking into the Kitchen I noticed Grandfather looking into the refrigerator. ¡ ¡°Grandfather?¡± ¡ ¡°AH! Oh, It''s only you Kazuto.. scared me there.¡± ¡ ¡°What would you be scared of?¡± ¡ ¡°Jacob is scary if he sees'' me snacking rather than waiting for the proper meal time.¡± ¡ ¡°This Jacob.. is he really scary?¡± ¡ ¡°He was trained by my father... *sigh* My father was a military man.. so I''m sure you can guess the rest.¡± Hearing Grandfathers words I give a slight ''Ah'' before walking beside him and grabbing some orange juice and a pudding. Once I pickup the pudding my grandfather gives me an expression as if I had touched his dearest treasure. ¡ ¡°What?¡± ¡ ¡°That.. ah..¡± ¡ ¡°Did you pan to eat?¡± ¡ ¡°No.. no.. no.. it''s fine. Just be sure to enjoy it *Sigh*¡± While eating the pudding my Grandfather grabs a jelly from the refrigerator in which we both take a seat at the table in silence. However soon after sitting a murderous aura can be felt behind me, giving me a slight chill in the process. ¡ ¡°I see... I see... Young Master Takez¨® is just like his grandfather. I see.. I see..¡± ¡ ¡°Huh?¡± I turn around while hearing a voice that would intimidate Satan, however I was received with an expression which seemed far too pleasant. Meanwhile, Grandfather unbeknown to me attempts to raise from his seat and leave the room. ¡ ¡°Master Takez¨®, aren''t you going to finish your jelly?¡± ¡ ¡°Ah.. No.. You see Jacob.. this was.. right!.. Kazuto was hungry.. right..¡± ¡ ¡°Wait What? Grandfather?¡± ¡ ¡°You were hungry right Kazuto..?¡± ¡ ¡°I was?¡± ¡ ¡°You certainly were, you grabbed the pudding first did you not?¡± ¡ ¡°Ah..¡± Soon enough I came to realise my grandfather was attempting to use me as a scape-goat towards Jacob. However, I discovered his plans fairly early to which I had a cunning grin expressed on my face. ¡ ¡°Grandfather..¡± ¡ ¡°Yes My dear Kazuto?¡± ¡ ¡°Weren¡¯t you the one looking into the refrigerator before I came to the Kitchen?¡± ¡ ¡°AH!.. No.. I was.. uh... eh... ¡° ¡ ¡°I see, so it all leads towards you Master Takez¨®. Since you two seem famished I shall have the chefs make you some lunch.¡± True to his word, Grandfather was correct. Soon after speaking to the chefs Jacob had them make so much food that myself and Grandfather seemed as if we could vomit at any point. ¡ ¡°I hope you enjoyed the food Master Takez¨®, Young Master Takez¨®. Please do be sure to inform me if you are hungry in the future.¡± ¡ ¡°We will Jacob..¡± Grandfather replied to Jacob while I was unable to speak due to the feeling that if I had spoken, I may regurgitate the food like a mother bird feeding her young. Soon after regaining my composure while also unbuttoning one or two buttons from my dress pants, I looked towards Jacob who continuously stayed motionless all this time. ¡ ¡°Jacob I was told Samuel was sent on a task by you, what is he doing?¡± ¡ ¡°He is repenting for not doing his job properly.¡± ¡ ¡°I see. He''ll be ok right?¡± ¡ ¡°That he will Young Master Takez¨®.¡±

Samuels P.O.V. Some several minutes ago, Young Master Takez¨® logged into ''Dream Forth'' a game founded by Master Takez¨®. Since I am now alone due to the absence of the one I must follow, I begin to ponder on what I should do in the meantime. While wondering what I should do I came to the conclusion of asking ''Satan'', I mean Jacob. Soon after walking through the household and after asking numerous other staff I come to find Jacob who frowns towards me once he notices my presence. ¡ ¡°Samuel, why aren''t you with Young Master?¡± ¡ ¡°He has entered Dream Forth.¡± ¡ ¡°So why haven''t you followed him?¡± Ah, I made a mistake. Suddenly, I was engulfed by a murderous aura which increased with each step as Jacob walked towards me. ¡ ¡°I shall say it again, why haven''t you followed him. Did my teachings lead you to this?¡± ¡ ¡°Not at all Senior Jacob. Apologies for my negligence, I shall take any punishment you deem worthy.¡± While preparing to be hit or scolded like usual, the murderous aura suddenly dispersed. Wondering what was happening I raise my head which had previously been gazing downwards. ¡ ¡°Samuel, your orders were to look after the Young Master. Fulfil your duties.¡± As Jacob turned around and walked away I exhaled a slight sigh thinking to myself *Only Jacob could make me feel intimidated to this point*. Now knowing what I can do with my time, I head towards the Games room only to recall that I had no idea on the location, name nor appearance of Young Master to which I pull out the ''Via Device'' as I call it from my pocket. ¡ ¡°Via, what location is the Young Master at? What is his name & finally what is he currently doing?¡± ¡ ¡°The Young Master is at the Citadel of Galis, Kingdom of Rushford. His name is ''White'' while he is currently undergoing a Quest from the Merchant Guild.¡± ¡ ¡°I see, thank you.¡± After finding out the information I promptly climb into a capsule while expressing a slight sinister grin on my face. ¡ ¡°Time to surprise the Young Master. I''m sure he''ll be ecstatic to see my presence.¡± Eventually inside the Capsule with the hatch closed, I feel myself falling into a deep slumber before hearing a chime in the background. *Tring*

Soon after being engulfed by a blinding light I appear in an unfamiliar world, surrounded by buildings, shops and countless humanoids. While wondering where I was; I noticed a fairly large queue gathering before a somewhat familiar face in the distance. As I walk through the queue ignoring the complaints of those lined up, I came before a man I knew from reality; Andrew Phillips. Once I stopped before Andrew many of those behind me shouted complaints while others cussed towards me. ¡ ¡°Join the back of the queue.. Oh! Samuel, it is samuel right?¡± ¡ ¡°That it is Mr. Phillips, it has been a long time.¡± ¡ ¡°It certainly has. You''re allowed to play while at work?¡± ¡ ¡°Not at all, Jacob would literally kill me if that were the case. I''m here to watch over the Young Master.¡± ¡ ¡°Young Ma.. Ah! So Mr. Takez¨®s'' grandson is also playing?¡± I nod towards Mr. Phillips who gives a rather shocked expression in return. ¡ ¡°So what do you need from me Samuel?¡± ¡ ¡°What do I need to do, or rather know in this world to protect and serve the Young Master?¡± ¡ ¡°Hmm.. Try the information guild Samuel. They''d probably give more information than myself.¡± After giving a slight bow to Mr. Phillips with a rather pleasant smile I turn and head towards a nearby billboard he had previously pointed out. However, while walking away I was sure I could hear Mr. Phillips mumbling in the background. ¡ ¡°That Samuel, his smile could haunt a ghost..¡± Eventually coming towards the billboard, I effortlessly glide past any people in my way before appearing in front of it. Some moments pass in which I find the location of the Information Guild while also memorising the route from my present location to my destination. As I begin walking towards the information guild I notice a familiar face, Young Master Takez¨® whom was talking with a middle-aged woman dressed in rather common clothes. Some moments pass in which I barely hear the conversation of Young Master explaining he had to buy 10 pelts of rabbit for 15 copper, to which the woman gives him some advice. Soon afterwards the Young Master walks away in which I stop the middle aged woman who seems to have a connection to Young Master. While walking towards the woman I feel a somewhat familiar presence, however it is too faint to know what it is. ¡ ¡°Excuse me Ma''am, do you know that boy?¡± ¡ ¡°The one I was just with?¡± ¡ ¡°Yes, him.¡± ¡ ¡°Hmm.. I''ve spoken to him a couple of times and given him advice so I wouldn''t say we''re not connected.¡± While wondering if this woman who has helped the Young Master could help myself I ponder on if I should ask. ¡ ¡°If you have something to ask, say it as I am rather busy.¡± ¡ ¡°Then.. Do you know of a way for me to become strong enough to assist and server the Young Master?¡± ¡ ¡°Young Master... could it be that child?¡± I nod towards the woman receiving a rather shocked expression in return. Some moments pass in which the woman seems to be in deep thought ¡ ¡°What are you to that child?¡± ¡ ¡°I am his butler, secretary, best friend and anything else he may need.¡± I unknowingly grin while recalling Master Takez¨®s'' words as others may interpret them as something outrageous, though I wouldn''t be one to correct as it''s amusing. However, the woman nods towards me ¡ ¡°Okay, follow me then.¡± ¡ ¡°Huh?¡± ¡ ¡°You wish to become strong enough to protect and serve him right?¡± I nod to her question only to notice a pleasant smile on her face before she began to continue her stroll motioning me to follow. Wondering who the woman was due to her commoner clothes yet familiar mysterious presence, I hesitantly follow.
