 Chapter 1

    Mia:


    I am lying on the ground, wearing a blood-soaked sweater, wondering how I got here and realizing the blood is my own. My body aches all over when I start to look around and realize I am in an abandoned factory. How did I get here?


    Suddenly, I hear someone laughing. My heart begins to race as soon as I look up. I see my boyfriend Lucas smiling menacingly, and the pain grows with every heartbeat.

    "Lucas, please help me! You said you were going to marry me! "Please help me! Why are you doing this to me?" I beg him and cry, but to no avail. He isn''t listening, just a sinister smile plastered on his face.


    He laughs again, sending his leg hurtling toward me until I can no longer breathe. My boyfriend''s blue eyes, which I have always thought were beautiful, are staring at me emotionless as I scream in agony. My heart breaks at his piercing, cold gaze.

    I am in complete shock. I am having trouble believing what I am hearing until I see a tall figure approaching me. She has blood-red lipstick on her mouth, a wicked smile, and her black hair is waving around her shoulders and her black dress is fitted tightly around her body.


    Leah. She kisses Lucas as she puts her arms around him, sweetly smiling at him.

    Lucas remains silent. He knows I was telling the truth, but he didn''t want to admit that he needed help. He simply throws the gasoline barrels on the floor, which I had not noticed were there, and Leah slowly approaches me as the gasoline pours out. Her strong perfume sickens me as she grabs my hair and says, "So what if he lied? It''s not the first time. Did you really think that Lucas loves you?  Chapter 2

    Mia:


    "Tobias! What are you doing here?? Leave! Why would you come to help me after what I have done? Please leave! Now!", but he wasn''t listening, "I''ll get you out of here Mia!". He tried to lift me up to carry me away, but a big piece of wood fell on his head, making him end up on the floor, his dark brown hair slowly turning red as blood was pouring out.. "Tobias! Why are you so foolish?"


    He smiled and said "I was wrong in manipulating you in the name of love, I didn''t know how to love properly, all I knew is how to keep you selfishly away from the world, for you to look only at me, I didn¡¯t know better, nor how much pain I brought you.. This is my punishment".


    "Tobias no! Please don''t die! I was the one at fault!"


    But he was already gone, and I was barely holding on, almost passed out inhaling all the smoke, but before i faded into darkness I said "in the next life Tobias, I will be the one to love you.."

    Completely wet from sweat, I looked around me, i was in my room, my hands tied with a rope, asking myself what''s going on, when i recognised everything around me and realised i went back to three years ago.. Was I reborn?


    I looked at my attire, I was in my wedding dress, starting to remember how I got here..


    Right before I was in the living room with Tobias, I was holding a knife at my throat, trying to free myself from the marriage with him, saying to him that I will rather kill myself than marry a monster like him.     Mia:


    The door opened loudly, and Tobias marched into the room, his face red, his eyes filled with anger. All of a sudden, I was grabbed by my neck, and I felt a hot breath on my ear, saying, "You wanted to run away so you can elope with Lucas?? Mia, was I too nice to you that you thought I would never get mad?"


    His hold on my neck was strong. I had trouble breathing, but I didn¡¯t dare to move or talk back until he was done; I wanted him to calm down, so I swallowed my fear and waited for him to continue... "Don''t play with me Mia, there won''t be a next time".


    My fear started rising again, but the pain in my neck and the lack of oxygen were too much to bear, so I started pleading, with the little bit of oxygen I had left, "Tobias, I can''t breathe; you will kill me!"


    Suddenly his hold on my neck was looser, but he was still holding it, so I continued.. "Please let go, Tobias, don''t worry; I will not try to get away again, so please let go of my neck".

    "What are you mumbling about, Mia? Do you have a fever?" Tobias asked, completely confused by my reaction. I pulled his tie towards me to kiss me when someone barged into the room.


    I looked over his shoulder, and there I saw her.


    Leah.


    "What are you guys doing?? Mia, I cannot believe you are trying to seduce Tobias, so he lowers his guard, and you can escape with Lucas!" Leah said, pretending to be worried about Tobias.


    I looked at her, remembering what she did to me in my ''past life''.


    In an angry voice, I quietly said her name, venom leaking while pronouncing her name, but I was pushed away by Tobias, whose face turned from relaxed to yet again angry.


    "So that was your plan? I can''t believe I fell for it!"


    I looked back at Leah; her face formed a worried look, with puppy eyes towards Tobias. No, I won''t let her ruin my second chance in life so I smiled and said to her: "How is kissing my hubby be called seduction? Unlike you.."


    I got up from the bed, walked towards her and pushed her away. She looked completely confused by my newfound confidence.

 Chapter 4

    "Mia Parker, you dare hit me??" I screamed huffing, holding my freshly slapped burning cheek, looking in disbelief that she slapped me, my big sister, who always naively believed my every word, she just slapped ME??


    What the hell is going on?? I had everything planned; I even brought Lucas here; he was waiting outside for her to come so she could be punished and be thrown out by Tobias or, better yet, killed.


    Lucas and I set the trap perfectly. I just needed to come upstairs and warn Tobias that I saw Lucas outside, and that would be enough to set Tobias off, but I wasn''t expecting the reaction she actually did.


    "So what if I slapped you? You deserve it! And you are not worthy to call Tobias by his first name!!" Mia said and slapped me again! What in the world is happening?? How can my quiet, naive and obedient sister react like this? Where did she get the guts to hit me? "Why did you hit me? What is wrong with you, I just wanted to save you from making a stupid decision!" I tried to turn the tables around, so I continued, "Mia, I know you are mad, but today is your wedding day, you cannot ruin the Grays and the Parkers just to elope with your lover!"


    I saw Tobias coming towards us, looking confused as to what was happening, I put up my best puppy eyes, looked at him and said "I just wanted to prevent her from making a mistake, to stop her from eloping with Lucas and instead she hit me! Please Tobias do something, she is angry with me even though I tried to help her!".


    To my surprise, Mia nonchalantly wrapped her hands around Tobias, and with a smile, she said, "My beloved is right here, so tell me, who should I elope with?"

    All of a sudden, Tobias yelled, "Mia Parker!". But I didn¡¯t react, I just continued walking towards Lucas. "Lucas.." I said, but he interrupted me.

    I slapped him as hard as I could, I could hear everyone in the room gasp. I smiled.

 Chapter 5

    I saw Leah and Tobias coming down the stairs, and to my surprise, Mia had her hands wrapped around Tobias''s hand. At first, I was confused, but I had to save myself first and then try to understand what was going on. "Mia was the one who came up with the plan! She was the one who seduced me! She said that Tobias was cruel, ruthless, and sadistic! She begged me to save her! I just had a lapse in judgment!" I tried to make them listen to me.


    But nobody moved, except Mia. She was walking towards me. I smiled internally; heh, this bitch is seriously stupid. Leah, as per plan, tried to stop her, but Mia freed herself from her. What was happening? I then heard Tobias yell her name to stop, and I started being hopeful. Good, if she tried to save me as usual, she would end up as the one in trouble, not me, so I added fuel to the fire, knowing that Mia wouldn''t mind what I was about to say. She loved me so much¡ªhow stupid.


    "Tobias, please listen to me! Hear me out; I had nothing to do with it; Mia made me do it!!" Tobias yelled yet again at her to come back to his side, but she didn¡¯t flinch.


    I was waiting for the little naive idiot to yet again take the blame, that it was all her idea, plead to release me, and accept all the punishment as long as they let me go. But instead, to my very surprise, she smiled, and then I felt my cheek burning. She slapped me! I heard everyone gasp. I couldn''t believe it. Didn¡¯t she love me?


    I very briefly looked at Leah so nobody would notice to see what was happening, but her eyes told me she had no idea. Our plan failed, and I was scared for my life.


    "Mia! You, how dare you hit me? I''m the scion of the Gray family!" Mia coldly looked at me, her eyes void of emotions.


    "So what if I slapped you?" I heard her say. I wanted to argue back, but she took a whip from a guard who was standing next to me, smiled, and started whipping me.

    At first, I thought she was putting on an act since her whips were not hard, but as the whipping went on, her smile grew wider and wider, pure enjoyment in her eyes.     When he turned to face me, I was giving him a chilly stare, and all he could do was cast his gaze back down to the ground.


    "So, Mia, how do you think we should handle him?"


    He was testing me, and rightly so, considering my behavior when he had locked me in my room only a few hours earlier.


    What he did not know was that I had been reborn, and I was not going to tell him because he would not believe me.


    I looked at him, then at Lucas, where I surprisingly saw a glimmer of hope in his eyes; still thought I would give up and try to make Tobias release him, but I looked back at Tobias and said, "Hmm, despite all his misdeeds, he is still your nephew".

    Mia:


    I hugged him, and with my best puppy eyes, I said, "Hubby, what do you mean, leave you? I know I made mistakes in the past and messed up a lot of times, but I will be good now. Please, please don''t lock me up, okay hubby?" I went on my tiptoes and kissed him on the chin. It was a little funny since I couldn''t reach further; Tobias was very tall.


    I was looking at him and waiting for his answer that would decide the course of our future together.

 Chapter 9

    <u>Mia:</u>


    As I stepped out of the room and began to walk down the hallway, a sudden wave of lightheadedness overwhelmed me. The world around me started spinning. Could it be that my mother injected something with that syringe? I felt terribly unwell. I tried to make my way to the nurse''s office, but my strength failed me. I could barely remain on my feet, and then everything went dark.

    As I watched her sleep, I contemplated what to do with her. She was obstructing my plans and needed to vanish. A brilliant idea dawned on me. I chose not to dirty my hands, so I picked up the phone and called Lucas.


    "Hey Lucas, I have a sleeping beauty over here who I know you despise for humiliating you." I smirked and continued, "I know how to get Tobias to get rid of her, but I will need your help."


    "I will explain everything on the way; meet me at the Royal Hotel."


    After assisting me in getting Mia into a wheelchair, my mother and I got into the car and headed to the hotel. Lucas was impatiently waiting in the room he had reserved.


    After bringing Mia into the room, I let her collapse onto the bed. I took out a small package from my purse that contained a beige pill.

    "With this drug, even the purest woman will become a wh*re," I said, meeting Lucas''s questioning gaze. I chuckled as I handed him the pill.


    "That is fantastic; now I can finally sleep with this bi*ch," Lucas exclaimed.


    "That is fine with me; just do not forget about our agreement and record everything." He nodded, and I could tell he could not wait to get his hands on her, so I left the hotel room feeling satisfied.

    <u>Tobias:</u>


    "Wasteful pieces of sh*t!" "You must find her tonight, even if it means searching all over Cascadia!!!" I was furious; she had escaped again! She is done this time; I will find her and no holy gods will be able to save her! I watched as the crystal ashtray broke into a million pieces as I threw it to the ground.


    "Yes, sir, we will begin the search immediately," I overheard the guards say, and they hurriedly began the search.


    Suddenly, Leah appeared at the door.


    "Tobias, please help me. Even though I tried, I was unable to prevent Mia from meeting Lucas! Head to the Royal Hotel! She stated that even if she cannot elope with him, she still wishes to spend her first time with him! "And they..."


    I stopped listening and began marching towards my car. How could I have trusted her? I was enraged. But she appeared so genuine... No. She lied repeatedly, demonstrating her manipulative nature. I refuse to fall for that again. And with that, I stepped on the gas and drove quickly to the hotel Leah had instructed me to go to.


    Thinking about how sincere she sounded and how I should punish her when I got my hands on her, my mind was racing a hundred miles per hour. I could not think straight; I was counting the minutes until I got to the Royal Hotel.


    Wait for me. Mia, I am going to ruin you this time.


    <u>Mia:</u>


    I woke up feeling groggy, my head throbbing. The unfamiliar room and the realization that I had been drugged filled me with dread. When my thoughts cleared, I realized that I needed to escape before it was too late.

 Chapter 10

    <u>Mia:</u>


    I wanted to get up, but the drug I was given kept me from doing so.


    I was feeling lightheaded and confused, and I thought I was seeing Tobias when I felt hands attempting to undress me. "Tobias."


    "Yes, it is me; do not worry, I will make you feel good," he replied.


    No, I gasped. That voice did not belong to Tobias! It was Lucas! "Lucas, please let go of me! What are you doing?" I pleaded for him to let me go.


    "Have you not always wanted to be with me? Your lucky day is today, then." Lucas said, then began kissing my neck. In disgust, I attempted to push him away, but he was too strong.


    Tobias was the one who burst into the room with a loud bang. "Tobias, please help!" I shouted. The weight that was on me suddenly disappeared as Lucas was yanked off of me and flung to the ground.


    "You dare to touch my woman?" Tobias, holding Lucas'' arm behind his back, yelled, "You have some nerve, boy!" He was furious; someone had actually dared to touch his woman? In the blink of an eye, he thought of several different punishments, but Lucas intervened to protect himself.


    With terror in his eyes, he managed to scream out, "Tobias, she came onto me while I was injured!" Fuck. He cursed to himself. Tobias was aware that he was not injured, but he was about to be.


    Which hand did you use to touch her? The room echoed with the boom of his voice.


    The terrified Lucas pleaded, "Tobias, please, I swear I will not do it again."


    Looking at the shivering Lucas, Tobias broke his fingers and slammed him to the ground. "If you come anywhere near her again, you''ll wish for death long before I grant it." Tobias''s voice was cold, filled with a menace that sent shivers down Lucas''s spine.


    Lucas cradled his broken fingers, tears streaming down his face. "Please, Tobias, I didn''t mean any harm," he sobbed, desperation evident in his voice.

    Tobias leaned in closer, his face inches from Lucas''s. "Next time, I won''t be so lenient. Remember that," he hissed before letting go of Lucas entirely.


    As Tobias turned to pick up the unconscious Mia from the bed, he issued one final warning over his shoulder. "Stay away from her, or there will be no place on earth you can hide from me."


    He picked Mia up and told her he would deal with her later before exiting the room and walking quickly to his car to go home.


    <u>Leah:</u>


    After a while of waiting, I entered the room, and something felt off, but I chose to ignore it and asked Lucas if he got it and if it was all recorded. He nodded, appeared irate for some reason, and instructed me to upload it the following day because he wanted Mia and Tobias to be utterly destroyed! I grinned and said, "I can not wait for tomorrow."


    Lucas''s anger simmered beneath the surface as he clutched his injured hand. "They have no idea what''s coming," he muttered.


    I glanced at his hand, briefly wondering what had happened, but the thrill of our plan''s culmination overrode any concern. Tomorrow, everything would change.


    <u>Tobias:</u>


    Mia and I were in the backseat, the driver rushing to get home as soon as possible, and he had a reason to; Mia had been drugged and was all over me.


    Her movements were uncoordinated, and her eyes were glassy.


    "Mia, stay with me," I urged, trying to keep her steady. She mumbled something incoherent, her head lolling onto my shoulder. She was trying to pull me towards her to kiss me.


    The driver glanced at us through the rearview mirror, concern etched on his face. "We''ll be there soon," he assured me, stepping on the gas.


    I looked at her, disregarding her actions, and uttered, "Mia, what have I told you? If you betray me again..."


    She stopped me, her voice weak. "I''m dizzy," she whispered, clutching onto me. When I touched her forehead, she was burning up with fever.


    Panic surged through me. "Driver, speed up and contact the doctor immediately!" I commanded.


    The driver nodded, pulling out his phone while maintaining his grip on the wheel. "We''re almost there. Hold on."


    Mia began caressing me and tried to pull me towards her once more, her grip tightening on my arm.
